I was one of the unfortunate souls who thought I did my homework by reading the great reviews about the Samsung refrigerator I purchased in late 2015. Little did I know, there were defects in the ice makers that Samsung was aware of. Within 14 months my ice maker had numerous problems. I contacted Samsung and was told too bad, the warranty was only 1 year, and they would do nothing to help me. Problems got worse, cooling issues, leaking that caused damage to my home, etc. Samsung is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with.
Also a side note, I read on this website a statement that says Samsung refrigerators last 15 years... Why then would Samsung prorate their defective appliances at a rate of 10% per year? That would mean that they only expect a lifespan of 10 years. If I had the information back in 2015, about the defects, life expectancy of the fridge, and the HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, I would NEVER have purchased a Samsung appliance. NEVER. Another side note, there are actually 2 class action lawsuits pertaining to the refrigerators. Buyer beware when it comes to refrigerators made by Samsung.

I bought a Samsung fridge in 2018. I was sold a 2014 model not knowing!! The ice maker freeze’s up and doesn’t make ice. Most of all the temperature is all over the place and is unsafe!! I have contacted Samsung and this is a common thing that happens. I’ve asked for a technician to come fix the problem but there’s not one in my area. So to solve the problem they only want to give me 500$ for a few thousand dollars fridge. This is wrong!! You can’t buy a new refrigerator for 500$. Samsung has a guarantee right on their refrigerator and they do not care about it at all. Save yourself the trouble and buy a different brand. Save yourself the headache!!

Six years ago I purchased a fridge, gas stove, dishwasher and microwave hood fan from Leon's. Right off the bat the gas stove burners, one in particular is difficult to light. Six months in and the popcorn function doesn't work on the microwave. About a year ago the dishwashers had to be repaired $ 300.00 and about a week ago it broke down again and today I bought a new one, not Samsung. Also about a year ago the fridge ice maker kept freezing up and I called Samsung as I had bought extra warranty. Well warranty expired two weeks before my call. So six months ago I bought a new fridge because the issue with the Samsung was a known problem and would cost $ 1000.00 to repair. I am very disappointed in Samsung and will never buy any of their products again. I did my research and in fact my new fridge and dishwasher are LG products and am extremely satisfied.

Purchased a Samsung appliance package for a new home earlier in the year - did not unpackage the new appliances until this week which we then found out the inside of the refrigerator was damaged. There were multiple paint chips on the doors and scratches. Called the customer service line which they told me I would have needed to report the damages within the first week of purchase. I said it was for a new home and we hadn't opened them until now as the home wasn't ready yet. They wouldn't replace the doors or give me a credit or anything. Very poor customer service, I was very polite and asked if there was anything they could do as this fridge was going into a brand new home and would be nice to have new appliances like we thought we had purchased. Would NOT recommend buying Samsung appliances as the customer Service is terrible.

We bought a fridge over 10 weeks ago and have never received it, don't get emails back, don't get calls back, wait on hold on phone for an hour a day and basically have no contact. Our money is essentially stolen by Samsung. We have no access to review or any way to contact or call other than wait on hold over an hour a day only to be told it might be delivered next week, which it never is.

Bought a Samsung Refrigerator mid-March 2022. Was delivered after a few days. The refrigeration was not level. I reported it and technicians came a few later and tried to fix the problem but in vain. They took some pics and said nothing could be done and will revert back to me. Up to now there is no news. I also notice that there is a dent on the freezer door. When I reported it, the seller said it's too late now. I should have reported it on Day 1. The after sale service is lousy. I wish I read the reviews before buying my refrigerator. I wonder what will be the outcome. To tell you the truth, I am not optimistic at all.

I bought a fancy computerized refrigerator in March of 2019, started to have problems freezing up and water running everywhere, tech came first then 2 weeks later repair guys came, very rough with the shelves and drawers. In fact broke one shelve, no apologies. Fridge acted up again so called service and they said I would get a refund even though it was no longer on warranty, because parts needed were no longer available. I was told a prorated amount for a refund. So I proceeded with what I was told to do, and then out of the blue I got a text saying my ticket was canceled because it was out of warranty??? Called again and nobody could give me a good answer. But the first guy was very nice and gave me a access number for the refund by Citibank. Well trying to get to the portal was not successful at all and then I get this cancellation **. Definitely not a happy Camper with Samsung. And I have everything Samsung!!!!

Our Samsung RF26HFENDSR/AA French door with lower pull out freezer has repeatedly iced up around the fan, the coil and the vegetable/fruit drawers. I have replaced the tab that keeps the drain for the coil from freezing up and ensured that the drains were patent. I also checked to see that the fan was working...But it froze up again within two weeks. On review of literature, it may be that the heater is shot. There have been so many issues with this online, it would appear that this is a major design flaw. Samsung should address this and help the public out.. Trying to get help online from Samsung is very poor. I have multiple Samsung appliances, phones, watches, etc and if this is the way they are dealing with the public, they have lost me as a customer!

In Nov the wife and I bought a new fridge from Warner's Stellian... The old one was getting a bit worn. So we settled on a Samsung bottom freezer model that has an internal ice maker and filtered water dispenser. We got it delivered, set up, and running no problem. It took about 3 days of running water through the system to get it tasting like decent water to start with. One week to the day after delivery, the water dispenser stopped working. We called Warner Stellian and they scheduled a tech to come out in just over a week. The tech looked at it, couldn't figure out why the part wasn't working the way it should be, and said he'd order a new one. A week later we get a call from them and they told us that the part wasn't in and due to Samsung redesigning the part we would be getting a brand new fridge.
I scheduled a tech from both Warner Stellian and Samsung to come look at it. The guy from Samsung was supposed to be here before the other guy so I was happy. The morning the tech was supposed to come out from Samsung, he was going to call me before 9 to tell me what time he would be here. At 9:30 I texted them and told them I hadn't gotten a call. SHe texted me back and said she would reach out to him. Three hours later I still hadn't heard anything, so I texted again. She texted me back and said 'Oh I'm sorry. The tech called in sick today and we didn't find out about it till a short time ago'. WTF???? Three weeks later we finally get the new one. Before they left after delivering it I made sure it worked the way it should.
One week to the day after getting it delivered and set up, the water dispenser stopped working. Turns out the 'redesign' wasn't actually a redesign. The work-around the company put out wasn't done on this particular model. The tech puts in a stopgap to at least allow the water to work until they can get the right part in. A week and a half later, they get the part and schedule the tech to come out. He replaces the part and it's working again. The fridge worked great for about 3 weeks until last Sunday. We noticed the freezer wasn't working right, then realized the fridge wasn't cooling either. So the tech comes out yesterday, and says he can't figure out exactly what it is. EIther the compressor or the main board. So they have ordered both parts. The parts will arrive in 3-5 business days and then who knows how long it will take for the tech to come out and actually replace the part.
Carissa and my grandson are here this week, they arrived last Thursday. So now what food I was able to save is down in the garage in boxes or our chest freezer. My warranty has a provision that allows us to claim $250 worth of groceries but that is a drop in the bucket. It's daily trips to the store because we don't want to keep anything for too long. The food we would have replaced isn't yet because I don't have a place to put it. Warner's Stellian says the company has to ok a return of the item and they said since it's a new fridge, they will fix it. Their customer support tells me 'I'm sorry for your inconvenience, I hope it can be fixed very soon', or 'My apologies for this experience'.

We purchased the Samsung 4 door French model with ice maker 28 cu ft with stainless steel finish, Model # 28R7351SG from Best Buy for around $3k delivered. We are 18 months in and have had some issues with the ice dispenser leaking water, only to find it created weak spots in the tray in door and the black stainless finish had peeled about 1 x 1" square and cannot be repaired unless the whole door is replaced at our cost. Best Buy said it's out of their hands, call Samsung. Samsung said we could call a 3rd party and pay them $140 to come analyze the situation, and another $60 for labor and then we pay for parts.
This is no small part. We have home owners appliance insurance but this is more of a cosmetic flaw as the iceman works. We did not buy the Super Geeks insurance from Best Buy but it also would not have covered this. This was a big purchase for us, and we waited a long time for it to be delivered in June 2020, it arrived July 1 2020, now it is Feb 1 2022. It's not under the 1 year warranty. Called for service and $200 later was up and running. But not too long after the largest electric burner stopped working. As of today our dishwasher is COMPLETELY broken. Buy this fridge if you do not care about hygiene and germs brewing in your fridge. Grime gets stuck in every bin and drawer with no means of cleaning the nooks and crannies. You will eventually end up breaking the cheap plastic in order to have the smell gone. Dry crusted debris get stuck often in the front of door bins and the veggie drawers. These parts have 3 layers to it with no means of taking those apart but to break. The whole world knows now icemaker is a big sham for Samsung. Only worked for couple months. I have done everything samsung recommended but it is a company with very poor technical and customer support. Class action in process for that one. Samsung spends their budget on marketing than on engineering and design hence a poor product. My model no is rf24fsedbsr (French door twin).

Ok this will be a bit long: I got my kitchen remodeled Nov 2020. Purchased all 5 Samsung appliances, from Best Buy. Had issue with every one except the microwave which we don't use much of. I have been on hold for Samsung "Case" managers for over 2 1/2 hrs. So I figured I would kill time by leaving this review so no one else will have to go thru what I have, and currently am going thru. My issues started about 2 mos of installation. First issue was my cooktop. Kept giving out error code and wouldn't turn on. Then it wouldn't turn off. At the same time my ice maker was freezing over and wouldn't dispense ice. The ice maker issue got resolved, then I realized my refrigerator was freezing my food, noticed it with my eggs. Tech came and "repaired", but happened again.
Called Samsung pro talked to customer service, who tried to provide the best care they are able to, but they can't make any decisions. Because it's been serviced 3 times I have the option to get my refund or replace the refrigerator. I opted to get a refund cause I don't want to take any more chances with Samsung products. I had to submit a receipt along with the ticket #. After the third attempt I was finally told that they can escalate it from customer service to a "Case Manager". Unfortunately these "Case Managers" are hard to get a hold of.
This process began November 17, 2021. Today is December 2, 2021. I was first told a case manager was going to contact me within 3-4 business days, I get no calls, no emails then on November 30th I get a short generic email stating that they made several attempts to contact me and if I can call them back at 1-800-Samsung at my earliest convenience. As soon as I got the email I called 1-800-Samsung and got customer service who informed me that the department they need to transfer me to is closed. I asked her if she can send them an email and have them call me, because I did not receive any calls from them, I had no miss calls, no messages, she said she did, still no calls or emails.
Today I have the day off so here I am typing this review, still on hold 3 hrs later. I live in Hawaii and their office hours are 9-9 EST. I am grateful I have an extra fridge in the garage to store my things. In addition to my refrigerator issue, I am awaiting a claim ticket for a third service call on my double oven, which has super uneven heating. I am beyond frustrated. So save yourself the frustration and stay away from Samsung. For some reason the newer models are not quality. Doesn't work properly and even though warranty seems to be good on paper, it's almost impossible to get thru.

After many confusing and contradictory responses and a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, my complaint was elevated to the "office of the president" in October 2021. The stove fried the electronics the very first time we used the self cleaning oven function. It currently sits with most the digital readout gone.
The refrigerator is the worst of all of them. The ice maker freezes up about every 6 weeks, and the refrigerator itself freezes up needing complete unplug defrost every 5-6 months minimum. The dishwasher was super quiet for about a year then started making noise. Repairman says it's the pump... "I can replace it for $275 and it will do the same thing in about a year. If it were me I'd wait for it to quit working all together". You couldn't give me another set of Samsung kitchen appliances. We purchased a Samsung RF24FSEDBSR in 2016, built April 2015. 4 door model so that the cold cuts and handy things are in a middle drawer. Great features, and electronic controls provide good feedback that all is working. Bright interior LED's. Ice maker and water dispenser. The functions and features sold it for us. Within months, the door shelves were cracking. We are not abusive, just placing milk. The plastic is brittle. The shelf bottom will crack and the tabs that hold the door can come apart, which drops it on the floor. Had to buy two new shelves. I bought Styrene plastic sheets from a hobby store, cut and sandwiched them to the drawers in weak areas (using MEK), for reinforcement which solved that issue. Never experienced such poor plastic (HIPS) in a $2000 appliance... or even a $500 unit.
At about 3 years old, the fridge starts to buzz inside, and ice is visible in the interior back panel. Ice is encroaching on the evaporator fan. I removed the back panel to access the evaporator coil. Solid ice in the upper half of the coil. As if the defrost heater doesn't work. In fact, the defrost heater does work. Could not find any fault in the defrost thermo-disk, and all temperature sensors measured OK. Heater works too (120 Ohms).
Changed the defrost thermo-disk anyway and really defrosted and dried out the cover using a hair dryer. Fridge ran fine for 8 months. Repeat. Turns out the defroster only takes care of the lower half of the evaporator coil! Design flaw. Once you start hearing the fan buzzing, the ice is building in the upper half of the evaporator coil. Once the fan gets stopped, everything including the styrofoam turns into a block of ice. You can thaw out the styrofoam and remove the ice. Or replace that back cover and styrofoam until another humid time when it will freeze up again (design flaw). I've now defrosted it manually about 6 or 7 times, using every opportunity to measure and determine why this is happening. I've checked all on-line videos and advice to solve these freeze up issues and attempted those that make sense (cause-effect). I have a power datalogger monitoring the fridge electrical consumption so I can evaluate how often and for how long it defrosts. Taken it on as a riddle.
I did contact Samsung early in this process. They sounded concerned, but when the customer service rep check with their manager, they stated I must have been abusive to cause plastic to crack. No warranty. Yeah right. I'm gluing everything together. Today, another roller wheel broke off... glued it back on. The freeze issues started right after warranty. Glad I can trouble shoot and fix myself, else the cost would be crazy. Now I'm looking at modifications to prevent the evap coil from freezing up again. Whether you are a technical person or not... it's not worth the trouble.... Don't let Samsung glitz sucker you in! It is a lemon. Wife hates it too.

We purchased a Samsung fridge 5 years ago. It had issues with the ice maker a few times, which were repaired. Most recently, the fan was making a REALLY loud noise, Samsung came out and we were told there is now corrosion in the plug of the fan and it is not repairable. Upon contacting Samsung we have been told we need to buy a new fridge and they offered us a 20% discount. The fridge is only 5 years old, we paid over $2.5k for it and now have no option to repair it other than to replace it. I wanted to warn others, as we had choices when we were buying and chose Samsung - we are now paying for that decision, literally.
Looking online and doing some research I've now found that there is a class action for THE EXACT SAME THING in the US - the ice maker breaking causing the fan to make a loud noise and eventually stop working. I'm in shock that Samsung find it acceptable to tell me to buy a new fridge after only 5 years and only give me a 25% discount... I will never buy another Samsung fridge again and I hope this warns others to do the same. So disappointed. Here is the link to some summary details of the class action: **.

I called Samsung immediately to make sure I received refund. To sum it up: After 22 phone calls, countless claim #s, XPO confirming they have the fridge still at warehouse. Samsung has NOT fulfilled the paperwork to recognize proper return/refusal to XPO thus 18 days later I have yet to receive my refund. This morning I was told by a Samsung "supervisor" "we have millions of orders, it is your job to keep checking on your refund status, there is nothing I can do" and hung up. Now my cc bill is up and I gotta pay for a fridge I don't have.

I bought a Samsung French Door Refrigerator in May of 2020 from Home Depot. It was delivered in June of 2020. Just over a year old and it's unusable. Temp readings shown on refrigerator are not the actual inside temps. Temps read normal but actual temp inside is 48+ in fridge section and 20+F in freezer. I had to throw out all of my food. Samsung has no tech in my area to look at it. Because of this they refuse to do anything about it. This is a known defect with Samsung refrigerators. They are not honoring the implied warranty. Parts are still under warranty. So without looking at it they are just saying it's out of warranty. How do they know what part is causing the issue? It can't be out of warranty if you don't even know the cause. The ice maker seems to be the biggest issue. So now I sit here 2 weeks later with no refrigerator and no option of getting one anytime soon.
Prices have almost doubled since I purchased this appliance. Not sure how hard it would even be to even get one with the shortage that's going on. Samsung has done nothing but play games over the last 2 weeks. I was offered nothing. No tech, no refund, and was told to find someone myself to look at it. Yet, if it's not a certified Samsung tech I void the parts of the warranty that are left. If they can't find one in my area, how can I?
A voicemail left yesterday says they're trying to get a hold of me to get someone here and today I have a text from the same guy saying there's nothing they can do. So I wonder if it had been within the first year and it malfunctioned, how would a tech have magically appeared? If there isn't one now there couldn't have been 4 months ago either. There's a class action lawsuit against them at this time. A FB group of 84,000 people complaining. It has made the news in several states. I would say they have a serious problem and they're in no hurry to do right by their customers.

Worst (and most expensive) refrigerator I've ever had. Ordered the perfect fridge but kept getting offers for "replacement" (different) models that didn't have same features. Finally settled on completely different model and have nothing good to say about it. Drawers are not smooth and are noisy. It makes random noises all day/night. When getting crushed ice for a normal sized glass, it goes all over the place. The doors neither open nor close easily. You have to completely shut off the water supply to replace the filter. It doesn't even have a section for butter. Literally hoping this thing dies by some random act of God so I can justify replacing it.

Beware > The drawers only pull out halfway making it inconvenient to put items in them and even more difficult to get items out. For example: a head of cabbage will not fit in a drawer. Beware of scraping your hand when removing items from the half open drawers. Ice maker malfunctions regularly: after dropping ice out of the ice dispenser and releasing the control, the dispenser door does not close fully, allowing warm air to infiltrate the ice storage compartment, thereby allowing ice to melt.
The ice mechanism re-freezes the melting ice cubes remaining in the opening and in the storage compartment into a clump, preventing the further operation of the system. All frozen shut. Solution is: 1) empty the entire freezer and defrost for a few hours so the ice compartment can be removed, cleared of remaining water and restarted. 2) A service professional has to take apart the frozen mechanism and repair the defective parts. $$. Never again.
P.S. Our Samsung printer/copier was also the worst. After the warranty expired it also malfunctioned requiring professional service. Also poor quality.

The 5 year extended warranty expired in January 2020. Not long after the warranty expired it developed an over and under-cooling issue. I contacted Samsung for out of warranty service, but they had no service technicians in my area. I contacted Best Buy and they referred me to Samsung. I had two different local appliance repair services attempt the repair. The first company, after the service call was unsuccessful, returned all my money rather than continue to attempt repair. The second company was partially successful; they replaced the refrigerator compartment thermistor three times, the mainboard was replaced twice, the unit still over-cools (under-cooling seems to be fixed). They had no ideas as how to proceed from there. Being as it was working: with the temperature set at 44F, and a measured refrigerator temperature of 34-36F, we continued to use it without attempting further repair.
Recently it has returned to its severe overcooling ways: temperature is set at 44F, with a measured refrigerator temperature of 28-30F. I contacted Samsung for a service call, Samsung is still (16 months later) unable to schedule a repair tech as there is no one to service the Asheville, NC area. Best Buy again referred me to Samsung. I have called other local appliance service centers, and they all decline to work on the unit, one suggested that I throw it away and buy any other brand?! Lamps and other test units plugged in to the outlet worked, but plugging in the refrigerator immediately tripped the circuit. We paid for an electrician to come out. He said that the circuit tested OK but recommended that we replace the GFI breaker. He installed a new GFI breaker and outlet for the refrigerator. The circuit tripped immediately when the refrigerator was plugged in. The electrician tested and diagnosed the problem as an internal short in the refrigerator. Electrician cost $296. We contacted Home Depot about the problem, and our call was routed to Samsung.
After about 15 minutes answering questions with the Samsung representative, we were told that a local Samsung service contractor would contact us within 48 to 72 business hours. We received a call from Central Electronics Services saying that the soonest the could have a technician come out to diagnose the problem would be two weeks later - nothing could be done to advance the service schedule. We went in to Home Depot who expressed concern about the problem and said that it is not uncommon to experience problems in getting manufacturer warranty service from Samsung. We are still awaiting the Central Electronics/Samsung service technician to arrive. Hopefully the defective refrigerator will be replaced with a properly functioning unit without undue. I got rid of the phones a couple of years ago due to software issues. I have been able to return the televisions thanks to the return policy of some stores, the refrigerator has problems with the ice maker and no matter how many people complain, they do not change the ice maker, nor do they repair it and they do not stop putting that problematic ice maker in the new equipment's (if you make some research the company has been sued for the ice maker they put on the refrigerators), they don't care about customers once they have bought their products.
If their products were good, you wouldn't have to worry about good customer service, but that's not the case. Their current products from about 5 years ago until now are of very poor quality, my washing machine (2 years old) has rusted all the edge where the bleach is poured and recently the motor broke and guess what? Precisely the engine has a 10-year warranty, at least on paper, but not really, they do not guarantee what was promised. First because of COVID-19 they did not have the staff to go to my house to diagnose the washing machine, that today they make this appliances with so much technology that the only thing they do not do is talk, but this machine shows you a code of the problem it has, this company do not care that the washing machine will show a code that means the engine is broken, they want a technician to diagnose it, a technician who they don't have, so they forced me to pay another company to have a technician come to diagnose the washer machine, a diagnosis that cost me $89.00.
I sent them the invoice and they didn’t repair the engine anyway. They say they only pay for the part, not the labor, that I have to pay for the repair and send them the receipt for them to reimburse me for the cost of the part. If they warranty, the part they should send me the motor so I will take care of the labor with any company. They have not reimbursed me the $89.00 that they made me spend on diagnostic, although the washing machine said that the motor was broken and am I going to believe that they are going to reimburse me a part (motor) after this?
This has been going on for 9 months since August 2020. They are worthless, unreliable, scammers, do not buy their products, any of their products soon or later will have issues and they will not honor the warranty. Do not become one of the victims of this HUGE SCAMMER COMPANY that take your money with warranties promises, and because their products are poor quality you will need the warranty, warranty that they are not willing to fulfill, they will find any excuse for not honor the warranty. I am appalled at the poor customer support and minimal warranty on parts for my refrigerator. We purchased in 2019, and experienced significant condensation with water pooling in various drawers. After we discovered how pervasive the issue was, we had it fixed (already out of warranty). We then got a 90 day warranty on the new part which was very suspicious (only 90 days on a brand new part?). And go figure! About 150 days later, condensation! Ka Ching! Now they want to come back and replace the part for a THIRD time in roughly 2 years. A total rip off.
I had heard muscled things about Samsung refrigerators but I guess I’d have never thought that in such a scenario (same new part failing twice within two years) they would not acknowledge this to be a Samsung and not an “us” problem. Bottom line, I’d advise against buying any Samsung product after going through this incredulous situation. Not worth the $$, time or hassle. Anyone want to buy a used lemon of a fridge?

I bought a house with Samsung appliances and and wish I had asked for new ones from a different brand. Pure junk. The stove burners didn't work properly, the oven heat varied all over the oven when baking. The fridge door drawers all cracked and cost too much to bother replacing. The door flap was broke and fridge didn't cool properly. Food spoiled. Now for the junk of a washer that would take half a day to do a load of wash because when it would go to the spin mode, it would unbalance and kick out only to take another twenty mins to finish or do it again and back to twenty mins again. I would recommend to not buy these from this company. They need to stick to cellphones. By the way, the house was seven years old and the dryer was a different make, assuming it died already. Costly replacing all of this because they make crap.

We bought our Samsung fridge with icemaker in 2015 and loved the design for storage. We had several issues with defrosting and the fridge developing ice and the back and freezing food. We started to take a day once a year to defrost it over 24 hours and it worked for a couple years but we called it this year. It froze up again (early this year) and we defrosted it again but it never got back to properly keeping our food cool but not frozen. Our local repair person told us he wouldn't waste our time because he's gone to service Samsung fridges many times and bought new parts but it never helped. When we had our new fridge delivered the delivery person commented that they've removed mostly Samsung fridges from people's homes. They look good but not worth it. Ours lasted 6 years! That's not long for over $2,000.00. Not to mention the environmental impact!

I bought this fridge as part of a whole kitchen package when I remodeled 2 years ago. I'm not sure it ever cooled as cold as previous fridges, but this one is different. The controls are different, very different. Gone is the dial that goes from off to high cool. A panel of buttons and lights, hold this button down for three seconds for this, 5 seconds for that, hold down both at the same time for 5 seconds for that, this is on when that light is off. If it stops cooling it might have gone back to 'show room mode' etc.
The fridge might run fine but I am unable to find the right variation of buttons and lights to push for how long at the right time. The manual and online is no help at all. There doesn't seem to be a Samsung rep to call, I've decided to have it hauled off and buy something with an on and off switch. The fins might be clogged up but they are inaccessible for home owners. Repair people want $200 just to show up and that does not apply to repair. Extra to diagnose. It would be very easy to pay more for repair than I paid for the fridge. They seem to deny there is a warranty or it would apply to my issue.

UPDATED: 3/31/2021: I purchased a condo 8/8/2020 in Pasadena that had been remodeled by the seller with brand new Samsung appliances all purchased 1/30/20. Delivered 2/01/2020. I called Samsung warranty Nov and Dec 2020 about the ice maker making horrible noises. They told me I was under warranty and that the ice maker had been recalled for RF24R7201SR/AA, payment of 1979.99 from Best Buy with receipts in hand. It took Samsung three service visits, months later to not be able to remedy the extreme noises while replacing the entire ice dispenser. They then informed me that now I was out of warranty and they would only offer me 1800.00 and for me to remove my warranty sticker to send to them.
They informed me that Best Buy would now not swap the unit out because I was a few months off warranty but I was under warranty when I called and it was first serviced with this issue. I then reached a gentleman at Samsung March 25th at 10:05 am, call was recorded, and I was told that they changed their minds and that they have these refrigerators on hand through Samsung despite Best Buy not being able to help me. I asked him if he was sure because the previous calls insisted on sending me money for a devalued amount at 1800.00. He assured me that the call was sincere.
I then called back 3/29/2020 and of course was told that that deal didn't exist for me and again only to take the 1800.00 offer. Calling them is like calling another planet of incompetent employees who hardly speak English at all and have no clue what's really going on. It is the worst company that I have ever dealt with in my life and my whole home is filled with Samsung appliances. Soon to be replaced with LG's when these stop working because Samsung has horrible customer service and treat their high paying clients like garbage.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: The worst experience ever! Calling Samsung’s 800 number for warranty issues is like calling another planet of people so unqualified and unhelpful. I purchased a 2500 refrigerator 1/2020. Delivered by Best Buy in 2/12/2020 and the ice maker was making horrible sounds 9/2020, 10/2020, 11/2020. I called while it was under warranty and they promised I caught it in time. After they attempted to resolve the issue and couldn’t we entered into 2021 year and they changed their minds telling me they could no longer swap it out with Best Buy because it was out of the year 2020 timeframe. Despite telling me while I called in 2020 that I was protected as long as I presented the purchased receipts that I did! They are only offering me a low prorated amount of 1800 and to remove the warranty sticker. That’s just insane customer service when my whole home has Samsung products. I can’t even believe this company and I will never buy another Samsung again.

My husband and I purchased a Samsung 4 door model refrigerator Model RF2339011SR/AA from our local store in November 2016 at a cost of well over $2,000. We paid a premium price because of the unique styling and because we have several other Samsung appliances in our home and because we’ve had no issues with them. This has certainly not been the case with this refrigerator.
I. Several months after our purchase we called Samsung regarding a leveling leg for the front of the refrigerator that had broken and some additional plastic door adjustment snap rings so that we could level one door that was slightly lower than its mate. This simple request took multiple calls with us being passed from person after person and department to department and being told, ridiculously, that a technician would have to come to our home install the leveling foot and snap rings. This was finally resolved however, and we were sent the parts.
II. About 2 ½ years after our purchase, We contacted Samsung because of an ongoing problem we were experiencing with the ice maker – ice freezing up in and around the tray and blocking the entire ice maker unit up with ice. After 2 weeks of multiple calls and disconnected phone calls, Samsung agreed to a one time “warranty extension” as long as we could find a local repair person and pay him in advance after which Samsung would reimburse us. We did this and we still have an ice maker that freezes up. We have to keep it turned off and only turn it on when we need to refill a bag of ice. This is the number of people we had to speak to in that instance, and the names they gave:
Samantha Julisa Juan Roy AndeloShamia Stacy Christina Kimberly Maria
Natasha Alexis Louise Tayahana
That’s 14 different people and again, the icemaker still freezes up.
III. Now we have a new problem. On December 22, 2020, we called Samsung regarding the clear finish, or fingerprint coating, separating from the stainless material on the bottom left freezer door. It is very noticeable and looks like a stain on the door. We spoke with someone named Garrett, who, after a 45 minute conversation finally said that he would escalate the issue and asked that we send photographs to efax@sea.samsung.com with the ticket number of ** noted in the subject line, which we did. We were told that we would hear back from Samsung in 3 to 5 days. Not hearing from Samsung, we called on December 31, 6 business days later, and spoke with Hassie who again “could do nothing” but would transfer us to a supervisor, but the wait time was 1 ½ hours. We opted for a callback which happened about an hour later. We spoke with Delson this time, a “case manager” he said. Despite my insistence that this was an obvious manufacturing defect that caused the finish to separate from the substrate, the only point he could relay was that it was “Cosmetic Damage” which was not covered by warranty and that he “could do nothing to help us”. We asked to speak to a supervisor and were told that one would call us within 48 hours. Of course by this time we didn’t really expect that to happen, but we waited until January 8, 2021 to call Samsung yet again and this time spoke with someone named Damascus who again said he would try to get our claim escalated to manager level. After he tried to contact one for 8 to 10 minutes, he informed us that the wait time would be 2 hours and 10 minutes and we would get a call back, which we did, this time from Pamala who was insistent that nothing could be done.
Taking a break in the narrative here, please understand that all along we have only been requesting that Samsung replace the defective door which I was more than willing to install. You only had to send a door, which I expect would have been less than $100.00 your cost, to alleviate the defect and make the customer happy. At every phone call we had to go over the entire situation again wasting anywhere from 10 to 45 minutes per call, not including wait times, to actually speak to a person.
It continues, on January 15, 2021 we called again and spoke to someone named Wisvert, same thing all over again, a case manager would call us next week with answer. Nothing. On January 22 not hearing from Samsung, we called again, this time speaking with Kendra who forwarded us to Selanda. We thought we were getting somewhere now. She told us we would have to pay a technician to come to the home to determine that it was a manufacturing defect and then Samsung would replace the part only, not the labor. When I reminded her that we had sent pictures that Samsung technicians could look at to determine that it was a manufacturing defect, she said there were no pictures. That was upsetting to us after the time and effort we went through to provide them as requested.
When I asked her to put in writing via email that Samsung would replace the part if a repair technician found that it was a manufacturing defect we were strangely and abruptly disconnected! No call back either, On January 24, a Sunday morning, we were surprised to receive a call from Samsung Electronics Exchange and Refund Department, a Marcos, who called to inform us that there were no options and that they could not take care of this defect.
Please note that this defect of the finish separating from the substrate is not due to any harsh treatment from us and that we offered to install the door only asking Samsung to provide the replacement part. The terrible service that we have received from Samsung’s “customer service” is beyond belief. The repeated passing from person to another person, the long wait times, the limited language skills making it hard to communicate, and the continuous offers to call back that don’t happen, all appear to be a tactic on Samsung’s part to discourage customers from pursuing remedies to problems with its products. It turns out that our experience is not unusual for Samsung. According to the Better Business Bureau as of this date, it has fielded 20,375 complaints in 3 years and over 1000 reviewers have rated Samsung a 1.02 out of a 5 stat rating. What a shameful record for a company.
You have lost us, a valuable repeat customer, over this lack of customer service, we will advise friends and family not to expect any customer service from Samsung if they purchase a Samsung product and we will be placing our comments and this narrative regarding these issues everywhere applicable online. Please, in the spirit of truthfulness, delete all claims of the importance of customer service from your advertising and phone messages as we have never experienced any caring customer service from your representatives. We’ve never been so disappointed in a company.

The refrigerator has ample storage and I like the way everything is set up within both the freezer and the refrigerator. I am very unhappy with the defrosting unit on this refrigerator and the ice maker as well. The defroster will oftentimes not eliminate all of the ice buildup around the fan, which leads to a knocking sound that gets louder as time passes. Samsung's solution is to call a technician and pay them every time this happens (which is every other month or so). If you want to fix the problem yourself it involves tearing apart half of your refrigerator to access the rear fan and then using a heat gun to melt the excess ice.
I finally fixed this permanently by moving the defrost sensor closer to the area with all the excess ice and by adding a piece of copper wire from the heat unit to the area around the fan, however, I feel that this is a solution that Samsung should have discovered years ago and there should be something done other than calling a technician multiple times a year. I also think the ice maker is too small as it only holds enough ice to fill about 6 glasses, which is useless if there is any kind of family event or if people come over and would like to refill their ice during the evening. Overall I am very unhappy with the refrigerator and will not be buying another Samsung.

At this time the customer service representative assured me that Samsung would make good on the problem and they now have a repair kit to solve the issue. The kit did not fix the problem and now Samsung is not honoring their word and has refused to replace my refrigerator.

We moved into a townhouse with Samsung Appliances - stove, refrigerator and microwave. The refrigerator periodically buzzes so loud it is obnoxious for a relatively new but out of warranty refrigerator at 6 years old. (Our 22 year old Kenmore at the family cabin is still as quiet as the morning dawn.) I was told by Samsung help to connect the ice maker and the buzzing noise should go away. I had to hire a plumber to run a water line to the refrigerator and connect it. $500 later, I still had a buzzing refrigerator. I called Samsung and was informed the only thing they could offer was their authorized repair service to come out to our seasonal Minnesota townhome and fix it as it is out of warranty.
Unique Services Repair Tech came out and felt like the noise was fan-related and recommended replacing fan. Part needed to be ordered, Tech returned a week later, installed and another $500; today we still have a buzzing refrigerator. Called Samsung and a different Unique Services Tech visited over a week later and said the refrigerator is just noisy and the noise cannot be eliminated.
We have spent $1000 and still have a buzzing refrigerator. We should have been told that the Samsung model we have runs loud and it cannot be fixed. We would have bought a new refrigerator. The first Unique Services Tech should have told me our refrigerator model runs loud and we cannot fix it. Instead, we spend $365 for a new fan plus the service call $’s charge for a part not needed. Both Samsung and Unique Services are yet to reply to my bad experience. I suspect both Samsung and Unique Service Repair are better than this. From a Customer Service standpoint, I am disappointed at being blown off by their non response to my communicated concerns.

Any indication that there is too much weight in the Dawbin is undermined by the fact that they are “designed to hold a gallon of milk“. I purchased a set of 4 Samsung kitchen appliance in August. Shortly we found out that the food in the refrigerator freezes and the freezer’s ice maker stopped dispensing ice. Since it was 2 weeks since we bought it, I went to the Home Depot where we bought them to exchange it, but they stated that they will only return or exchange on the first three days and that we have to contact Samsung to repair it which it didn’t make me happy to hear that knowing that they don’t stand behind the products they sell. The manager said if Samsung attempts to fix it three times and the issue still not fixed then they will change it. So, I called Samsung and they started a ticket.
Since then, it has been 2 months and several trips by the Samsung’s repairman, they were able to fix the ice maker, but the fridge still freezes the food and now when opening and closing the door the whole fridge makes a loud squeaking sound. On the last trip, the repairman contacted Samsung and stated that they have changed all parts they could, and the issue is still there. Samsung viewed the temperature difference and frozen food through a video conference with the repairman. They stated that it is the way that fridge is designed and do not put food in the back of refrigerator. I could not believe what I heard, and the repairman stated that he has done what he could. He wrote the report and left.
In disbelief, I called Samsung customer service. The person helping me could not even access the ticket number to see the history and kept on trying to schedule a repair. When I asked to speak to a manager, somehow, she found a way to view the repair history and stated that she is noting the issue and a manager from the refund and exchange will contact me on Monday. So far no one has contacted me. We bought a Samsung refrigerator (model Number Rf263BEAESR/AA) at or about the 25th of November 2016. At about the two-year mark, the icemaker started having problems. It was not making ice. At first, if I chipped off the built-up ice, it would produce ice again (this was a constant battle). After a while, it stopped producing ice at all. We called Samsung, and they agreed to pay for the ice maker to be replaced, but not the service. I want to thank you for that! You (Samsung) did not tell us that the icemaker had been having problems across the board, nor did you mention the icemaker's class-action suit. If Samsung knew that the ice maker was faulty, why didn't they pay for the service call in addition to replacing the icemaker?
A little while ago, the refrigerator stopped working, pools of water running out of the fridge, and would not cool. The Freezer still works, though. Full disclosure we have had this refrigerator for about 3.75 years. Samsung said they would have a repairman come out. They could not reach a Samsung qualified repair specialist. When contact was made, we were informed that they would not make a service call to our house, too busy. Samsung encouraged us to find a maintenance specialist, and if the motor or the compressor were faulty, they would cover it.
We contacted a local maintenance specialist who could work on Samsung refrigerators. He informed us he could fix it but that he was not going to guarantee the work. He also stated that chances are we would have to repair it soon after. Today we were forced to buy a new refrigerator. We moved the contents to the 20 year old Amana fridge in the garage and defrosted the Samsung for the weekend. less than a week later it was all iced up again. Since Best Buy requires all our personal information just to talk to someone about how much it will cost to have a tech come out and service the fridge, we contacted a local repair shop and they said it's a known problem and that the "Samsung" repair doesn't work so they were reluctant to even schedule a tech.
A week later the water dispenser button broke and while trying to fix that we noticed the 800 number for Samsung. We deal with a drippy ice and water dispenser, water under the crispers, and very inconsistent fridge and freezer temps. The fridge display will say 37° when the temp is actually anywhere between 38-58°. We have lost over $200 in food. I have personally endured an 8 hour online support chat, numerous phone calls, and emails to seek full compensation for this defective appliance so I may purchase a safe fridge. After posting an honest review on the Lowe's website I was contacted by Samsung support and on 9-10-20 and Samsung emailed me paperwork offering me a refund of $2448.29 for my defective unsafe refrigerator.
This refrigerator has been unsuccessfully repaired three times. We are using a mini fridge in our kitchen because the Samsung's inconsistent temps are not food safe. I completed the online refund paperwork & returned it electronically and mailed the actual paperwork via certified mail on 9-17. They contacted me 9-18 by text and have switched my refund amount to only $1530.18. The lock on the water/ice control comes on and you have to go through the screen to find the lock and unlock it. For the second time, the dispenser will not toggle from ice to water. The entire part was replace less than a month ago and I am having the same problem. I love the idea of high tech and the integration but clearly, if you can't get a Samsung phone to sync with the Samsung refrigerator there is a problem. This was NOT a cheap unit so I am frustrated to pay so much and have nothing but problems.
The customer service is terrible. They always tell you to reboot the computer or turn off the refrigerator and refresh it by plugging it back in after a minute. Easier said than done. The refrigerator is in a cabinet and I have to roll it out and squeeze in to unplug it and plug it in again. It is silver which is very much still in vogue and everything works! I have always taken good care of my appliances so they will last a long time. Now that I have bragged on it, well we'll see.

Our French door Samsung refrigerator, with a bottom drawer freezer, was good for about 2 years, when the ice maker started frosting over and failing to drop ice in the bin. There is now a 26,000+ member Facebook page of similar issues with Samsung refrigerators which also mentions a few of their other appliances. I do NOT recommend purchasing any Samsung appliances.

I have Samsung side by side fridge. It’s about 28 cubic feet! My freezer goes from -20 to 10 degrees back and forth ruining my food! My fridge goes from freezing food at 25-ruining food at 65 degrees. This has happened since day one that I bought it 4 months ago. I keep on having to throw out tons of food and Samsung don’t care! They will NOT help!

I bought black stainless steel color and it is beautiful. Everything works perfectly and makes ice on its own. If the door doesn't close it makes a sound to alert you. It comes on wheels so easy to move if you have to.

Samsung makes terrible defectively designed refrigerators. The cooling system is crap, the ice makers are crap and the leaking water that pools under the deli drawer is shocking. No good appliance repair person will work on these fridges because they are crap and the company that makes them is beyond difficult to work with .

The Samsung French doors, freezer on bottom refrigerator sometimes keeps things cold, and sometimes doesn't. The temperature read-out always, always says 37 degrees F, but that's not true. The compressor overheats causing ice build-up in the vents, causing the temperature to rise even though it still says 37 degrees! Food must be removed and the fridge thawed. This has happened multiple times over the course of three years! This is not just a one in a million "lemon". This is a DEFECT that others have experienced, and Samsung is aware of it. Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator. You will regret it. The fridge was purchased in 2014 for a little more than $2,000. Waste of money.

I have a four-year-old refrigerator. I stopped using the icemaker and water after two years. Now the back of the refrigerator freezes up and ice comes out of the back of the refrigerator. I’ve had it serviced just this year four times already. The last time the service man said I’m giving you back all your money except the first service call, go buy yourself a new refrigerator. This can’t be fixed.

I’ve had nothing but issues with my refrigerator... Ice maker gives us grief and leaks at times, but most of all the problem at hand is the fact that our refrigerator just randomly overheats and when we reset it it gets super cold...it typically takes all of 24 hours of messing with it and resetting it multiple times to get it to run properly! We’ve tried to get it warrantied out with no luck so far!

Samsung makes a beautiful refrigerator. It is well-built with shelves and compartments. Please don't have a problem, because you can wait months for the replacement parts. Also, the phone support and their customer concern is deplorable. They give you constant run around and you can never speak to the same person. You must repeat what your problem is over and over again. They need a program to teach their employees better product knowledge and people skills. Samsung makes a beautiful product and then drops the ball with everything pertaining to the consumer. This has to be bad for repeat business. They make a sale but not a repeat customer!

We purchased a Samsung Refrigerator a year ago. Within that year our ice maker has broken twice. First they sent a repair guy. He fixed it and 6 months later it broke the same way again. We called and Samsung said sorry it’s out of Warranty. It’s a year old and the ice maker is still frozen up and sometimes melts and drips water. It costs a lot out of pocket to get it fixed. On top of that the middle drawer electric cords that operate temp was pinched so that didn’t work. Also I don’t think the fridge runs at the correct temp! We filed a complaint with BBB in the state they are made. We haven’t heard anything back. I will never buy one again! Don’t even want to Win one I would Rather have a Whirlpool or GE!

The refrigerator I bought from Samsung is dysfunctional. Repairs have been a waste of both my time and money. Samsung customer service is nonexistent. Dealing with them is an emotionally draining experience. They refuse to take responsibility for their faulty product. The refrigerator does not keep food cold enough to be safe to eat. The ice maker has been an issue for quite some time leaking water under the crisper draw and onto my hardwood floor. The most recent service technician told me not to eat any food from the fridge. He reported to Samsung from my house and sent them pictures of my damaged floor. He told me to get an estimate to repair my floor which I have sent to Samsung several times. Samsung is ignoring me. I still have a damaged floor and a refrigerator that does not work properly.

2 months out of 1 year warranty and drainage and ice issues. Refrigerator not cooling properly. Samsung service terrible with hours upon hours on hold. I will never ever buy another Samsung. Water flooding and freezing under crisper drawer. Spoiled food 3 different times. Temperature sensor is behind control panel which gets frozen due to a defect in drainage system.

Samsung refrigerators are defective garbage. Their customer service is deceptive and completely useless. Samsung hired Alorica, a third party dimwit company that calls themselves the Office of the President. They are paid to make consumers go away, give up and not get services. They are filthy liars. Retailers who knowingly sell these defective refrigerators should be held accountable as well. Samsung needs to recall ALL their refrigerators and refund the consumers.

If I could go back in time I would of bought something else besides a defective refrigerator. They look great but don't work for long. The WARRANTY is useless as they cannot repair it. Waste of time for me to wait for a repair that doesn't work. You will end up wasting more money by throwing away your food as it will not hold temperature at a safe level. It will make you sick. If I could give them a score of minus I would. Please do not buy their products.

There is a known problem with the French door model freezer seal. It leaks and then builds up ice behind the drawer. The frost free freezer must then be defrosted. This happens about every 9 months. Replacing the seal will work for some time but the defect returns.
