We bought a new Samsung refrigerator in 2022, the BeSpoke 4 model. Within 18 months the ice machine stopped working, soon after the freezer stopped holding temp, then finally the main fridge compartment stopped holding temp. Our repairman tells us that they make these units with a fundamental flaw built inside. Refrigerant slowly leaks out over time at a connection point where copper meets aluminum, this connection joint is something that cannot be welded, so they use some form of bondant which deteriorates over time - usually after the product is out of warranty. Repairman says there is no permanent solution to fixing it and that it will need to continue to be repaired for the life that we own this fridge. Samsung should stick with building cell phones!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!

We purchased a side-by-side French drawer Samsung refrigerator several years ago. It developed icemaker problems in 2023 along with a flashing panel and moisture and water puddles on the floor under it. Items in the refrigerator portion are freezing solid while items in the freezer are soft and not frozen solid. We heard about the icemaker class action lawsuit and contacted Samsung and were promised that Samsung would come to our home and repair free of charge. This was in May 2023. They have yet to ever show up. I have contacted them 12 times and 12 service tickets have been created. But each time they cancel the service ticket and call me and tell me they don’t have service available, I am 45 miles away from the service center and I have a Lowe's in town that is also a Samsung retailer.

After the sixth time they promised to repair the icemaker but also the flashing panel and correct the fact that the refrigerator freezes food and the freezer does not get cold enough. However, it should be noted that in my most recent conversation with them, they have gone back on their word, and stated that they will only fix the icemaker. Confronted with the fact that no service will come to my home, they then respond by telling me that I need to find my own service and pay for the bill. This is absolutely ridiculous and horrible customer service in light of the fact that they have already promised to repair it. Each time they promised me that this time they will send out service and it will work. But after completing the 12 ticket just today and then being told that there is no service available again, they obviously never intend to keep their word.

It is my opinion that they are manipulating this to avoid having to spend the money. They insulted us with an offer of a 50% off coupon which only would apply to the inflated regular price of items on their website. It should be noted that most items on their website are on sale for 20 to 30 to 40% off already but the coupon doesn’t work on those prices. It only works the original high price. I am not interested in spending any money to bring any more of this junk into my home. I have decided to file complaints with the FTC and BBB and begin writing reviews. We are reasonable people who take care of our items and we are being done wrong by Samsung. They fabricate stories and make commitments that they do not keep. They make promises and go back on them. Their appliances are junk, only worthy of the shredder. They have already lost a large segment of their customer base and are sinking like the Titanic. Their reputation is now as horrible as their products.

I am on my way to Lowe’s to purchase an American made refrigerator and I would never ever ever purchase anything made by Samsung or any of its affiliates. It should be noted that we have also purchased a washer, dryer, dishwasher, range, over the range microwave and television made by Samsung, none of which lived out their usable forecasted life. All of them failed under normal use within 4 years of purchase. It is interesting that the general electric refrigerator that my grandfather bought from Western Auto in 1975 is still humming along in the basement. That’s 49 years running perfectly, non stop. Again avoid the hassle. Avoid Samsung. DON’T BUY SAMSUNG!

The Samsung fridge model RF26J7500SR not worth money. Inside shelves crack easily very cheaply made. The biggest problem is ice maker kept freezing up have to defrost just for it to ice up again. So had to shut it off. I will see about technician to fix but probably not worth the money it will cost. I would not recommend fridge, very disappointed in product.

We moved into our new home in July 2017 and all the appliances were included except a refrigerator. No worries, we visited our nearby appliance store and immediately liked the Samsung (french door/stainless steel/Model #RF23M8070SR). We purchased a 5 year protection plan for $250.00. Within the first year, we experienced issues with the ice maker. We would use a tool to remove the ice buildup in order for the ice maker to work. After a while, even this didn't help the issue and the ice maker simply stop producing ice all together. We now had to purchase ice twice a month for our home. However, we thought, if we didn't have any further issues, we would consider ourselves lucky. Oh no, now the freezer has stop working and the technician(s) all advise us of the out of pocket expenses it will take to fix the issues. We simply do not have the resources available to fix the issues on a now 7 year old refrigerator. We need some assistance: **.

Samsung sent a technician to help only to find the glass is unsealed AND can't be removed. He said if we needed to clean any trapped spills, we have to put it in our bathtub (kitchen sink too small and too shallow) and use the high pressure sprayer to get into the crevices and then use a hair dryer to dry it out. Unbelievable.

Called several different appliance stores and most wouldn't even work on Samsung appliances because of poor support from Samsung on getting parts. Finally found a appliance repair facility in my area and was told oven needed new sensor and refrigerator needed new ice maker and there was a lawsuit against Samsung for their refrigerators not making ice. Appliance repair dealer said to contact Samsung and they may assist with repairs.

Called Samsung and was told they would send out a authorized repair facility to fix parts and labor no charge. Then was called back no authorized repair in my area. Was then told to pay for repairs and paid invoice and would get reimbursed. After eight hours on phone was told, "Sorry we are offering you $50.00 for a $587.07 repair for your inconvenience." DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG APPLIANCES IF THERE ARE NO REPAIR FACILITIES IN YOUR AREA AND THEIR APPLIANCE ARE JUNK ANYWAYS SO DON'T BUY.

We purchased a new home in 2019 that came with a brand new Samsung refrigerator (purchased by the builder). Almost immediately, the water/ice dispenser began failing intermittently. We could get water OR ice, but not both. The only way to correct the issue was to cut power to the refrigerator, then turn it back on. We dealt with this for a while, then finally called a Samsung-approved repair company for help. After MULTIPLE service calls (and involvement directly from Samsung), hundreds of dollars, multiple separate calls with Samsung and finally a service call from Samsung directly, we were told that our refrigerator could not be repaired - too bad, sorry, good luck. So, we recently replaced our 4-year old Samsung refrigerator with a KitchenAid - we should have done this 4 years ago. Could not be more disappointed with the product itself or the quality of customer service we received from Samsung. Buyer beware!

I will never purchase another Samsung Product. My reasoning is outlined here. In May 2023, I purchased a 23 cuft Smart 4 door flex refrigerator with family hub and beverage center for $3,557. The contract crew delivered and refrigerator, plugged it in and connected the water but did not set up the “smart” portion of the refrigerator. I subsequently set it up, and immediately experienced problems with internet connectivity. I have 500 mb service and the router is 12 feet from the refrigerator. So, bandwidth was not the problem. The refrigerator would maintain connectivity from a few hours to a couple of days.

I called Samsung technical and software support numerous times to resolve the issue without resolution. Then, I sent an email to the Samsung CEO's office outlining the issue. Between May 2023 and September 2023, contract technicians visited my home and swapped out the display and the “main board.” The problem still persisted. On September 19, 2023, I sent another email to the CEO's office outlining the problem and requesting that the refrigerator be replaced before the warranty expired. I received a response from “Gloria” at Samsung Care requesting proof of purchase. I provided evidence of my purchase from the Samsung website.

On October 4, I wrote “Gloria” requesting an update. There was no response. On October 12 I again wrote “Gloria” requesting an update. Again there was no response. On October 19, I again wrote the Samsung CEO's office, and I got crickets. It is evident to me that Samsung has no plan to do anything about my problem. Has anyone else had this problem?

In the meantime, your groceries just spoil. Your family doesn't really need a refrigerator, do they? Deal with companies that appreciate your business and value you as a human. We bought New Samsung appliances from Home Depot when we built our home. We bought a Fridge, Oven, Dishwasher, Washer and Dryer. The Dryer took forever to dry clothes and had the steam dryer function which makes mud out of lint and clogs the exhaust line frying the heating element. Because we bought all the appliances together Home Depot gave us a 3 yr warranty. The Refrigerator is absolute garbage, we are on our 5th icemaker. First one lasted until the original warranty expired, luckily the Home Depot warranty replaced it four times (each time it was upgraded supposedly). It quit again after the Home Depot warranty expired so I removed it completely and we have to buy ice. There is a class action suit against Samsung regarding the ice makers, but it will take forever to settle. WE WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ITEM FROM SAMSUNG AS LONG AS WE LIVE.

I need to share my ongoing ordeal with the Samsung RF263BEAESG French Door Refrigerator I purchased in 2019. At first glance, the sleek design and fingerprint-resistant finish caught my attention. But over the past few years, it's been one headache after another. The core of my issue lies with the sealed system repair ports. They were improperly left open after a repair, and despite numerous service requests and countless hours on the phone, my fridge is STILL not fixed. To add insult to injury, I've had service tickets created and then inexplicably canceled over and over again.

What's even more frustrating is that despite the refrigerator having a clear 5-year warranty (it's only been four years, by the way), Samsung is now inaccurately claiming that my warranty has expired. Has anyone else faced this warranty denial issue? To get a clearer picture of the malfunction, I even had to consult third-party technicians due to inconsistent diagnoses from Samsung's team. And every time, the result was the same: it's an open port issue, nothing to do with the "infestation problem" one Samsung tech tried to claim. I'm at my wit's end and am hoping some of you may have advice or similar experiences to share. How did you handle it? Any suggestions on the best way forward? I used to trust Samsung, but this experience has truly tested that trust. Thanks in advance for any insights or recommendations.

We saw an ad for a package of Samsung appliances that would fit perfectly in our home so we purchased all new appliances assuming they were decent quality like Samsung phones used to be. Right away we were disappointed in the ice maker's output and water dispenser having no light. About a month of having the fridge, it started making loud noises at night and one night stopped cooling, the little bit of ice in the icemaker melted and damaged my wood floor. Had the company fix it only to have it spew all the freon out and fill my home with fumes.

Now the repair company cannot fix it and hundreds of dollars of food is bad once again! They are sending me a refund that will take a minimum of 12 days and I'm responsible to dispose of the unit at my expense. We got a Samsung French door refrigerator with the ice maker in the door about two years ago. After 5 to 6 months of ownership, the ice maker started freezing up. We would thaw it out and it would just refreeze within a month. This went on for months, Samsung customer service was no help. We ended up keeping the ice bucket out, as that seemed to help with the freezing up.

The bracket in the back is not supposed to move unless it is connected to the auger in the ice bucket. A few nights ago, in the middle of the night. I noticed the fridge was being a bit louder than normal. Figured it was working harder to keep everything cool in the 106 degree heat, so I thought nothing of it. My son went to get a late-night snack and as soon as he opened the door, he immediately commented on the funny smell coming from the fridge. Melting plastic and electrical has a very distinctive smell.

The doors had been keeping the smell and smoke inside the fridge, which prevented any fire alarms from triggering. I checked and smoke was coming from the back wall behind the auger bracket. I had cleaned the ice out hours earlier, so there was nothing in there. If the door was opened, the ice maker would stop and so would the smoke. Closing the door, the auger bracket would kick right on and smoke would start pouring out and you could hear popping coming from the ice maker. I tried to shut off the ice maker at the door control panel but it did not respond. The only way it would stop was to get the side wall panel off and disconnect the wire harness for the ice maker.

My fridge reeks of melted plastic and electrical now. I contacted Samsung customer support. Explained the situation to the rep, and provided pictures. The rep asked me to take video of the smoke coming out. I refused to knowingly allow my refrigerator that is in my home with my family to start on fire again for a video!

After I refused to allow the refrigerator to start on fire again, the rep informed me he would escalate the call to a "dedicated team" and I should hear back "within 24 hours". That was four days ago. I have not heard anything from Samsung's "dedicated team". I have since tried twice to contact them today over the issue and each time their online support does not respond. Their text message for help feature does not even work.

Since this incident with the fire, I have found that the ice maker issue is a known issue, that has had class action lawsuits over it. I have spoken with two others that also had fires start in their ice makers, both of which are getting the same "support" as I am. I'm furious over this! Had my son not gone for a late night snack, their product could have started my home on fire, leading to major property damage, injuries and I hate to think about it but possible death too. Samsung is NOT taking it seriously and just blowing it off. They got their money and thats all they care about!

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator through the Home Depot on 6/5/18. We began having problems with the refrigerator less than 2 years into our ownership when the ice maker began collecting ice along the side of the unit, jamming the unit from operating and being able to get ice out of the machine. Water was also regularly leaking out of the ice maker and into the ice chute and into the refrigerator. We realized a month or so ago that the temperature in the refrigerator wasn't cold enough after seeing food items we had in the refrigerator spoil quickly. I put a thermometer in the refrigerator and saw that it was only cooling to 55 degrees, even though the setting was for 36 degrees. I contacted Samsung after explained my dissatisfaction with the product and with spending $2,119.99 for a product that began giving me issues in a couple years and was now not unusable in a short 5 years.

The representative said they would send out a Samsung repair person, but that only the parts for the repair would be covered and that I would have to pay for the labor. The Samsung technician came to the house 7/24/23 and told me that the body of the unit was cracked and that it could not be replaced. He said that the only option for me was to buy a new refrigerator at my expense. Despite not repairing anything, the technician charged me $229.24 for the visit (receipt attached). So in addition of the $2,119 I paid for a defective refrigerator that started malfunctioning within 3 years, I was charged $229 for a "repair" visit that didn't repair anything.

I wrote to Samsung's CEO office and received a response that they would not be doing anything to rectify the situation. So I spent over $2,300 for a refrigerator that started giving me problems within 3 years and became unusable in a little over 5 years. The evaporator motor that failed had a warranty of 5 years (planned obsolescence?). I don't know what's worse, the quality of the product or the refusal by the company to make good on it. I do know that after buying this refrigerator and three prior televisions from Samsung, I will never buy another Samsung product.

You guys sent another company to come and have the return picked up. You guys charged my account 2 separate charges for the product.

Along the line while your vendor pick up the product from my house - you chose not to return my money back to the card after taking your return from my house. I should be the one paying for this. My credit card has been charging me money and interest on the card every month but you guys never cared. Up till date you are yet to refund me money. All the phone calls and messages.

You guys owe me $3500 please kindly return my money. I will start by giving you guys a bad review and showing everyone your message and sending all the story to all platforms so they can see what type of Scam you guys are running. Samsung makes some pretty decent products but under no circumstances should you buy directly from the company. I had a 9 year old refrigerator out of warranty, icemaker wasn't working and the top fridge wasn't cooling. Called Samsung and got a rep halfway across the world speaking poor English. Set up a repair appointment with a NJ shop whose reviews are awful. Tech came and replaced the board and fan and said icemaker required a new ticket. Days later the fridge was roaring like a jet engine. Called Samsung and replied about sending someone back right away.

Same tech came 10 days later without icemaker parts and said unit needed more parts. He never called back with an estimate. Called customer service and they defended the tech's defective work, but offered $500 toward a new unit. I declined the offer because if the new fridge was defective, I would be at Samsung's mercy. Turned around and purchased a Bespoke unit at Costco with a 5 year warranty. At least if there's an issue, I won't have to call India and hear more scripted lies.

Purchased a Samsung refrigerator with ice maker/water dispenser in the door on 5/20/18 for $2500+. In the 5 years since then, we have had the ice maker replaced 4 times and scheduled a 5th. The first 3 replacements were done “no charge” (beyond inconvenience) by the excellent service department of Yale Appliances, though each replacement failed after about 10-12 months. When we requested the 4th repair we were told that due to issues with that specific product, Samsung would be responsible for any further service. Their personnel did replacement #4.

When it failed again 10 months later, we researched the product and brand and discovered pending lawsuits in Canada regarding the ice maker repair issue and a few situations where Samsung provided credit to replace/ buy back that model. In fact, after providing the history to Samsung service (India?), they offered to transfer me to that department to learn about the program.

When I spoke with them (somewhere else in India), they stated that any service provided by Yale (even though all Samsung factory trained techs, and they were a major Samsung retailer/distributor) would not count, therefore with only one repair in 5 years, I did not qualify for the program. No further discussion. We made the decision to go with another Brand’s product, (again at Yale) which we purchased today. Somewhat related, this leaves me with the 3 water filter cartridges in their original Samsung packaging at about $40 each - bought through their subscription service. Samsung will not accept product returns beyond 30 days. I hope to give them away to prevent someone else having to buy from Samsung.

Samsung refrigerator don’t last 10 years their guarantee/warranty is a fraud. On July of 2014 I went to my local Home Depot and bought a new Samsung French door refrigerator with a flex drawer and bottom freezer for 3,200 dollars. By November of 2015 the refrigerator started to have issues making popping noise and then came the ice buildup on the twin cooling system. I contacted Samsung and informed them of my issue. The lady on the phone had me do some troubleshooting then said your refrigerator is out of warranty and if you like a technician to go and check the refrigerator you will have to pay out of pocket. I went to Home Depot and explained my situation the salesperson said oh but you bought the extended warranty.

I then call the company which they came out I paid 350 dollars to have them replace the thermostat and the back cover. Within 6 months the refrigerator went out again with the same issue. In 2017 the ice maker goes out. I called Samsung and explained the problem. I was again told you are out of warranty. I then had to paid to get the ice maker fix. After several times of me calling Samsung and the repair company coming out to defrost the unit I contact Samsung 2019 and requested that Samsung fix the ice maker with a long term solution.

In 2020 Samsung finally agreed to replace the ice maker but the issue was never resolved. Like clockwork the problem continue where the refrigerator read a internal temperature of 37 but inside was 60 because of all the ice buildup. I will then contact Samsung. They will send out the technician to defrost the unit and with 6 to 8 months I will go through the same process. On May 2023 I contacted Samsung as the refrigerator had stopped working cooling and making ice. I was referred to a technician. I paid 300 plus dollars to get the refrigerator fix. Within 1 week the refrigerator broke again. I then contacted Samsung and explained to them that I was frustrated and that they needed to have a better system and a long term solution or at least to acknowledge that this is a ongoing issue for this refrigerator model refrigerator.

All the ice buildup on the twin cooling system was so bad that the plastic cracked. When I contacted Samsung and requested a solution I was told the seal system had a 5 year warranty, you are out of warranty and plus the refrigerator had never been diagnosed with not repairable therefore Samsung wasn’t able to do anything. I then contacted the technician company they when out and declared the refrigerator non repairable. I then contacted Samsung and they offered a courtesy prorated of 250.00 dollar buyout for my refrigerator which I declined. After years of paying for repair and replacing food every 6 to 8 months I felt like Samsung was taking advantage of me by now this refrigerator is 8 year old refrigerator had cost me more than 5,000 dollars and Samsung refused to take responsibility and acknowledged how bad this refrigerator was built Samsung solution to my ordeal is “you are out of warranty."

I’ve had my Samsung French Door refrigerator model# RF28HMEDBSR/AA for a little over 5 years. After 2 years the ice machine froze up and now I have to defrost it every two weeks or so. Because the ice reservoir is in the fresh food compartment which is above freezing temps it accelerates the freezing of the ice maker due to moisture getting the the ice maker. Another reason is poor design. The only adjustment you can make is on the right hand door and the ice maker is on the left hand side. The sealing gasket for the ice shoot will become worn and not seal properly, therefore allowing moisture from the air to seep into the ice machine causing it to ice up. Who puts and ice maker and reservoir in the fresh food section and not the freezer!??

The only solution that works for me is turn off the ice maker from the left door control panel, get two or three coffee mugs, fill them with water, put them in the microwave and heat to boiling and put them on the ice maker for about 1/2 hour or until the ice is all melted. The ice reservoir must be removed before this procedure and a heavy rag or oven mitt could be used to stuff it in the opening of the ice maker so you can close the door while defrosting the inside of the ice maker. This procedure may need to be repeated several times on order to completely defrost the ice maker. After defrosting is completed. Replace to bucket, and turn on the ice maker from the left door control panel.

I have to manually defrost the evaporator coils in the refrigerator section because of the inefficiency of the heater coils in the defrost system every couple of years, again because of poor design. Their Samsung refrigerators are nice to look at but are very poorly designed and an absolute nightmare to work on. I’ll never buy another Samsung appliance! All that glitters is not gold!!

That is presumably caused by a leak, which is frankly shocking for a unit barely 6 years old. This will cost us several thousand dollars to repair and will span over several weeks, which will put as at a very prolonged period of inconvenience.

The Samsung fridge was purchased for my mother in law and 2 other adult family members. It had the compressor die after only 2.5 years. It had a 10 year warranty for compressor, 5 for sealed system - supposedly. We call Samsung right away - the only authorized service shop is 20 miles away in a tiny town called Centralia - they couldn't get anyone in Columbia to work with them. It was obvious the compressor/sealed system was dead - in my research lab I have had dozens of refrig units over the decades. I had to pay $90 to get it diagnosed by Samsung's authorized service folks.

Indeed it was the compressor/sealed unit. However it took 4 service calls over 5 weeks to fix it. Samsung customer service is simply surreal. Kafka would be impressed. I have spoken to maybe 7-9 reps - they leave SMS messages and voicemails - but when you reply you never get them but yet other rep and you start from ground zero. I was told maybe 11 different stories from those 7 or so reps - all insisting their story and promises were the right ones. I heard about a refund for the cost of the unit, compensation for ruined food, reimbursement for the diagnostic service call. No refund.

They now refuse to pay for the diagnostics because it isn't part of parts and labor. Seriously. When someone comes to fix my AC or furnace or hot tub - there is a diagnostic visit and if you go with them to fix it the fee is counted towards the repair. Samsung thinks I pay to diagnose when their product fails under warranty. Was promised spoiled food compensation from 4 reps. Finally get one ready to deal with it and she says just give us a list. I send the list, the next rep says - oh it can't be typed. It must be handwritten. Well I just took the handwritten notes from folks who lived there and typed it up all nice and organized (anyone who knows me knows my handwriting looks like hieroglyphics on a good day). Then she says a $200 limit.

Neither of these conditions had I heard from the previous reps. So I had my oldest kid take my typed list and hand write it. So over 5 weeks, I am out 90 bucks for a diagnostic visit for something under warranty. Out $ for food spoilage. Out $ for take out food since there was no refrigeration for 5 weeks. Adults living in a house with some special dietary needs with no fridge for 5 weeks. A Google quickly found a great November 2022 article in USA Today. We were a Samsung family for phones, washer/dryers, TVs, fridges, etc. NO MORE. I have spent over 20 hours on the phone and SMS with them and they are tone deaf and now I understand why - they know they are on the verge of another class action lawsuit and are unapologetic.

I have owned this unit RF28R7351SG for around three years now. In the first 3 months the Ice Maker leaked behind the tray and froze in place making it unmovable and after unplugging unit and thawing the ice tray broke upon removal, so I just purchased a new one only to have the same thing happen again after 1 week, so I have not been able to use this feature basically from new, next upon trying to clean the inside, the glass on top of the 2 drawers is not removable and get gook all along the edges creating disgusting mold and possible even botulism for it is not in any way able to be cleaned. It is molded, as so are the drawers. They can not be cleaned in the corners and all across the front and bottom lip.

Every fridge I have ever had in my 70 years has been able to be taken apart and cleaned as to not allow disease, Not this one. For the Price it cost it is the biggest ** I have ever bought and am going to trash it and buy something that will work and is able to be cleaned, This review is to tip all interested in this unit. BEWARE. It is expensive Garbage.

Customer service says I’d have to buy new ones at $30 each. The plastic that they are made of must be too hard and faulty. I have never had a refrigerator door shelf break this quickly. Customer service is next to impossible to get hold of and were completely unwilling to resolve this issue. I will never buy another Samsung product again.

Our Samsung refrigerator was pricey. It is a French door with a bottom freezer and it is a beautiful-looking refrigerator. Unfortunately, there are a few things Substandard. The drawer in the freezer is cheap plastic, the track and wheels are plastic and the drawer is constantly falling off the track. Next, You must close the left door side first, the seal is frequently misaligned and will miss if you forget and close them both simultaneously. The water dispenser has no light. This makes it difficult to fill a narrow water bottle.

A better-quality freezer drawer and a light on the water dispenser would have made this a perfect refrigerator for us. Unfortunately, I anticipate the drawer in the freezer will eventually break as was the display model in the store. I can't imagine why they wouldn't have added a light to the water dispenser, even the cheap models had a light. If I were to do this over again I would probably buy a different model. Other than that it appears to be a beautiful-looking refrigerator.

New refrigerator was installed on Nov 25, 2022. First the warranty shows it expired in 6 months (should be one year). I was told it is one year from date it was built (ridiculous). Mind you, I bought this directly from Samsung. After three days, 9 hours on the phone, sending copies of everything twice they updated it to one year from order date (also wrong). If an item is back-ordered the warranty doesn't start on the date of the order. STILL NOT RESOLVED.

The refrigerator also came with a missing part. Another two days and five hours and the part finally arrived. WRONG PART. I told them multiple times it was the drawer for the freezer and they send the drawer for the refrigerator. I've now been on the phone two hours and still haven't been transferred to the correct dept. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

I can't carry it on my head. The refrigerator was delivered to my garage where it stayed for over a month while I struggled to set up installation through a 3rd party and also by calling Samsung. Appointments kept getting made and no one showed up...No one wanted to take the appliance up my flight of stairs. I purchase a Samsung 4 door Refrigerator in 2015. I have had nothing but problems with it, from ice maker not working to the compressor going bad in the 7yrs of ownership. Samsung claims the product should last 15 years. Let me also tell you that the compressor is warranty for 10 yrs. But when they call the repair man to come fix it, the company that Samsung sent out doesn't replace the compressor. After multiple calls to Samsung still the problem isn't resolved. I have spoken to management only to be talked to like I'm stupid. IF YOU COULD SEE THE MOLD IN THIS REFRIGERATOR YOU WOULDN'T PURCHASE A SAMSUNG.

I will never purchase another Samsung product again. Don't be fooled by the 5 star reviews, you have to give a year or 2 then the problems will start. The icemaker freezes into a block of ice and stops working, you then have to get your hair dryer out to melt the ice block to even open the ice tray. Once again do not make the mistake I did by buying a Samsung Refrigerator. Customer service when you call are very rude and have no desire on trying to resolve the issues with their product.

Contacted samsung several times and they said they had no other such complaints. Also, in the NE Pennsylvania area, all the appliance dealers DO NOT recommend buying a Samsung appliance, especially a refrigerator because they say it takes over a month to get a samsung appliance repair person to respond. Especially with an appliance like a refrigerator which is pretty difficult to do without if it breaks. The dealers will sell them to you, but they stress what a problem you will have if it breaks, even if it's brand new within the warranty.

I bought a home in 2019 with brand-new Samsung kitchen appliances. On 9/25/22 my Samsung freezer stopped working. Had to throw away a lot of food. Called for service and a tech came and confirmed the issue was in a closed-system and covered by a 5-year warranty. He said he would be back the following week with parts to make the repair but never showed up at the appointed time. I called the service center and was told Samsung wasn't going to repair the fridge/freezer. Over two weeks without a freezer...I called Samsung and they are a nightmare to deal with. They refuse to repair it and claim they don't have parts and that I can get a voucher to replace it (i.e., I can get a partial amount to put towards buying a brand-new appliance and this one can get thrown in a landfill).

This is unacceptable. I understand there are lawsuits against Samsung as they should be. They are not honoring the warranty, they are behaving in a criminally negligent manner. If they can't repair they need to come and get this and replace it with a new one, but they want to screw the consumer. Their customer service is a nightmare--just nasty, inarticulate people who give an attitude if a consumer is rightfully upset.

Samsung came out one time for free to address the ice maker problem and it didn't stay fixed long. Next time Samsung came out, we were charged almost $500 and the same problem kept occurring. So for the next couple of years, we dealt with the problem manually which takes a lot of time and usually when it's most inconvenient!

After 4 days of calls and dozens of conversations we learned that:

    1. This is an ongoing problem with numerous class action lawsuits. Check any news report or legal listings.

    2. The customer service reps, none in the US, are TRAINED to lie to you. They promise service and then never deliver.

    3. The two service centers that should have been assigned to us (we called them) told us that they have stopped working with Samsung because they will either not honor the warranty, even with proof, or they won't pay for the service, leaving it to the homeowner.

    4. Service is to be provided within 48 hours. Any current service reps within 100 miles of us are 4 to 6 weeks out and most won't service Samsung any longer

    5. The refrigerator and freezer will show the proper temps but they are not accurate and are in the danger zone for safety. We lost over $300 worth of food and they refuse to help in any way.

We purchased a brand new Samsung Fridge from our local Leon's in Owen Sound, ON Jan 2021. The compressor fan broke within one month and we were given the runaround about who was responsible for fixing it. Still within warranty time frame, Samsung agreed to send a repairman from 2 hours away to fix our issue. We still had our old fridge and used this for a week before our fridge was fixed. More problems now. About 2 weeks ago, our freezer was completely thawed and our food was thrown in the garbage. The fridge is also not cooling food properly.

We have contacted Samsung and Leon's who both claim it's not their problem and now getting the runaround from a company that our extended warranty was purchased through called King and State. In fact, they've hung up on us 3x now after waiting on hold for 10+ minutes. Coincidence? We had a repairman out who tells us that it has a system leak and that the coils on the back aren't frozen. What does this mean? That the freezer can't be used and the fridge is 11 degrees warmer than it should be. He said it is fading and will eventually die, but can't fix it. Customer service from King and State is unsympathetic and with no resolve so far.

I'm writing this review to commence an attempt to hold Samsung responsible. It is wrong to sell high ticketed appliances to consumers only to have it completely die within less than two years. The $170 extended warranty has proven to also be a waste of money. I suppose you feel a fridge is not an essential service? There is a group on Facebook dedicated to how terrible Samsung refrigerators are. So far, they have been able to get $10m in refunds and that number is going up every day. It all starts with the ice maker freezing up, then the panel behind the fridge will freeze and the fans stop working and then everything gets worse from there. There is no fixing these devices. They are ALL defective. Look at Bosch, Maytag or Thermador if you want something reliable.

I was one of the unfortunate souls who thought I did my homework by reading the great reviews about the Samsung refrigerator I purchased in late 2015. Little did I know, there were defects in the ice makers that Samsung was aware of. Within 14 months my ice maker had numerous problems. I contacted Samsung and was told too bad, the warranty was only 1 year, and they would do nothing to help me. Problems got worse, cooling issues, leaking that caused damage to my home, etc. Samsung is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with.

Also a side note, I read on this website a statement that says Samsung refrigerators last 15 years... Why then would Samsung prorate their defective appliances at a rate of 10% per year? That would mean that they only expect a lifespan of 10 years. If I had the information back in 2015, about the defects, life expectancy of the fridge, and the HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, I would NEVER have purchased a Samsung appliance. NEVER. Another side note, there are actually 2 class action lawsuits pertaining to the refrigerators. Buyer beware when it comes to refrigerators made by Samsung.

I have contacted Samsung and this is a common thing that happens. I’ve asked for a technician to come fix the problem but there’s not one in my area. So to solve the problem they only want to give me 500$ for a few thousand dollars fridge. This is wrong!! You can’t buy a new refrigerator for 500$. Samsung has a guarantee right on their refrigerator and they do not care about it at all. Save yourself the trouble and buy a different brand. Save yourself the headache!!

About a year ago the dishwashers had to be repaired $ 300.00 and about a week ago it broke down again and today I bought a new one, not Samsung. Also about a year ago the fridge ice maker kept freezing up and I called Samsung as I had bought extra warranty. Well warranty expired two weeks before my call. So six months ago I bought a new fridge because the issue with the Samsung was a known problem and would cost $ 1000.00 to repair. I am very disappointed in Samsung and will never buy any of their products again. I did my research and in fact my new fridge and dishwasher are LG products and am extremely satisfied.

There were multiple paint chips on the doors and scratches. Called the customer service line which they told me I would have needed to report the damages within the first week of purchase. I said it was for a new home and we hadn't opened them until now as the home wasn't ready yet. They wouldn't replace the doors or give me a credit or anything. Very poor customer service, I was very polite and asked if there was anything they could do as this fridge was going into a brand new home and would be nice to have new appliances like we thought we had purchased. Would NOT recommend buying Samsung appliances as the customer Service is terrible.

In Nov the wife and I bought a new fridge from Warner's Stellian... The old one was getting a bit worn. So we settled on a Samsung bottom freezer model that has an internal ice maker and filtered water dispenser. We got it delivered, set up, and running no problem. It took about 3 days of running water through the system to get it tasting like decent water to start with. One week to the day after delivery, the water dispenser stopped working. We called Warner Stellian and they scheduled a tech to come out in just over a week. The tech looked at it, couldn't figure out why the part wasn't working the way it should be, and said he'd order a new one. A week later we get a call from them and they told us that the part wasn't in and due to Samsung redesigning the part we would be getting a brand new fridge.

I scheduled a tech from both Warner Stellian and Samsung to come look at it. The guy from Samsung was supposed to be here before the other guy so I was happy. The morning the tech was supposed to come out from Samsung, he was going to call me before 9 to tell me what time he would be here. At 9:30 I texted them and told them I hadn't gotten a call. SHe texted me back and said she would reach out to him. Three hours later I still hadn't heard anything, so I texted again. She texted me back and said 'Oh I'm sorry. The tech called in sick today and we didn't find out about it till a short time ago'. WTF???? Three weeks later we finally get the new one. Before they left after delivering it I made sure it worked the way it should.

One week to the day after getting it delivered and set up, the water dispenser stopped working. Turns out the 'redesign' wasn't actually a redesign. The work-around the company put out wasn't done on this particular model. The tech puts in a stopgap to at least allow the water to work until they can get the right part in. A week and a half later, they get the part and schedule the tech to come out. He replaces the part and it's working again. The fridge worked great for about 3 weeks until last Sunday. We noticed the freezer wasn't working right, then realized the fridge wasn't cooling either. So the tech comes out yesterday, and says he can't figure out exactly what it is. EIther the compressor or the main board. So they have ordered both parts. The parts will arrive in 3-5 business days and then who knows how long it will take for the tech to come out and actually replace the part.

Carissa and my grandson are here this week, they arrived last Thursday. So now what food I was able to save is down in the garage in boxes or our chest freezer. My warranty has a provision that allows us to claim $250 worth of groceries but that is a drop in the bucket. It's daily trips to the store because we don't want to keep anything for too long. The food we would have replaced isn't yet because I don't have a place to put it. Warner's Stellian says the company has to ok a return of the item and they said since it's a new fridge, they will fix it. Their customer support tells me 'I'm sorry for your inconvenience, I hope it can be fixed very soon', or 'My apologies for this experience'.

Ok this will be a bit long: I got my kitchen remodeled Nov 2020. Purchased all 5 Samsung appliances, from Best Buy. Had issue with every one except the microwave which we don't use much of. I have been on hold for Samsung "Case" managers for over 2 1/2 hrs. So I figured I would kill time by leaving this review so no one else will have to go thru what I have, and currently am going thru. My issues started about 2 mos of installation. First issue was my cooktop. Kept giving out error code and wouldn't turn on. Then it wouldn't turn off. At the same time my ice maker was freezing over and wouldn't dispense ice. The ice maker issue got resolved, then I realized my refrigerator was freezing my food, noticed it with my eggs. Tech came and "repaired", but happened again.

Called Samsung pro talked to customer service, who tried to provide the best care they are able to, but they can't make any decisions. Because it's been serviced 3 times I have the option to get my refund or replace the refrigerator. I opted to get a refund cause I don't want to take any more chances with Samsung products. I had to submit a receipt along with the ticket #. After the third attempt I was finally told that they can escalate it from customer service to a "Case Manager". Unfortunately these "Case Managers" are hard to get a hold of.

This process began November 17, 2021. Today is December 2, 2021. I was first told a case manager was going to contact me within 3-4 business days, I get no calls, no emails then on November 30th I get a short generic email stating that they made several attempts to contact me and if I can call them back at 1-800-Samsung at my earliest convenience. As soon as I got the email I called 1-800-Samsung and got customer service who informed me that the department they need to transfer me to is closed. I asked her if she can send them an email and have them call me, because I did not receive any calls from them, I had no miss calls, no messages, she said she did, still no calls or emails.

Today I have the day off so here I am typing this review, still on hold 3 hrs later. I live in Hawaii and their office hours are 9-9 EST. I am grateful I have an extra fridge in the garage to store my things. In addition to my refrigerator issue, I am awaiting a claim ticket for a third service call on my double oven, which has super uneven heating. I am beyond frustrated. So save yourself the frustration and stay away from Samsung. For some reason the newer models are not quality. Doesn't work properly and even though warranty seems to be good on paper, it's almost impossible to get thru.

We purchased a Samsung RF24FSEDBSR in 2016, built April 2015. 4 door model so that the cold cuts and handy things are in a middle drawer. Great features, and electronic controls provide good feedback that all is working. Bright interior LED's. Ice maker and water dispenser. The functions and features sold it for us. Within months, the door shelves were cracking. We are not abusive, just placing milk. The plastic is brittle. The shelf bottom will crack and the tabs that hold the door can come apart, which drops it on the floor. Had to buy two new shelves. I bought Styrene plastic sheets from a hobby store, cut and sandwiched them to the drawers in weak areas (using MEK), for reinforcement which solved that issue. Never experienced such poor plastic (HIPS) in a $2000 appliance... or even a $500 unit.

At about 3 years old, the fridge starts to buzz inside, and ice is visible in the interior back panel. Ice is encroaching on the evaporator fan. I removed the back panel to access the evaporator coil. Solid ice in the upper half of the coil. As if the defrost heater doesn't work. In fact, the defrost heater does work. Could not find any fault in the defrost thermo-disk, and all temperature sensors measured OK. Heater works too (120 Ohms).

Changed the defrost thermo-disk anyway and really defrosted and dried out the cover using a hair dryer. Fridge ran fine for 8 months. Repeat. Turns out the defroster only takes care of the lower half of the evaporator coil! Design flaw. Once you start hearing the fan buzzing, the ice is building in the upper half of the evaporator coil. Once the fan gets stopped, everything including the styrofoam turns into a block of ice. You can thaw out the styrofoam and remove the ice. Or replace that back cover and styrofoam until another humid time when it will freeze up again (design flaw). I've now defrosted it manually about 6 or 7 times, using every opportunity to measure and determine why this is happening. I've checked all on-line videos and advice to solve these freeze up issues and attempted those that make sense (cause-effect). I have a power datalogger monitoring the fridge electrical consumption so I can evaluate how often and for how long it defrosts. Taken it on as a riddle.

I did contact Samsung early in this process. They sounded concerned, but when the customer service rep check with their manager, they stated I must have been abusive to cause plastic to crack. No warranty. Yeah right. I'm gluing everything together. Today, another roller wheel broke off... glued it back on. The freeze issues started right after warranty. Glad I can trouble shoot and fix myself, else the cost would be crazy. Now I'm looking at modifications to prevent the evap coil from freezing up again. Whether you are a technical person or not... it's not worth the trouble.... Don't let Samsung glitz sucker you in! It is a lemon. Wife hates it too.

The machine is great except the ice machine keeps on quitting. Otherwise lots of room and I like it. But it is too bad about the ice machines so no I would not buy again...

We purchased a Samsung fridge 5 years ago. It had issues with the ice maker a few times, which were repaired. Most recently, the fan was making a REALLY loud noise, Samsung came out and we were told there is now corrosion in the plug of the fan and it is not repairable. Upon contacting Samsung we have been told we need to buy a new fridge and they offered us a 20% discount. The fridge is only 5 years old, we paid over $2.5k for it and now have no option to repair it other than to replace it. I wanted to warn others, as we had choices when we were buying and chose Samsung - we are now paying for that decision, literally.

Looking online and doing some research I've now found that there is a class action for THE EXACT SAME THING in the US - the ice maker breaking causing the fan to make a loud noise and eventually stop working. I'm in shock that Samsung find it acceptable to tell me to buy a new fridge after only 5 years and only give me a 25% discount... I will never buy another Samsung fridge again and I hope this warns others to do the same. So disappointed. Here is the link to some summary details of the class action: **.

We bought a Samsung refrigerator few years ago and since bought it the ice maker constantly freezes over and we are always having to thaw it out and we always have to do that. We weren't aware when we bought it that Samsung has a lawsuit against them for the same thing about the faulty ice maker. They sent a repairman out to fix it but we are told it won't last. We want our money back. All of our appliances are Samsung because we love the brand but their refrigerator aren't good. We spent a few thousand on this fridge just for us to have issues with ice maker. We want our money back. We did talk to an attorney who told us about lawsuit. We want our money back for what we paid or we're getting an attorney.

October 1st XPO came to drop off long awaited refrigerator (XPO is fantastic). The refrigerator was refused due to size (too large for doorway). XPO handled it refusal wonderfully. I called Samsung immediately to make sure I received refund. To sum it up: After 22 phone calls, countless claim #s, XPO confirming they have the fridge still at warehouse. Samsung has NOT fulfilled the paperwork to recognize proper return/refusal to XPO thus 18 days later I have yet to receive my refund. This morning I was told by a Samsung "supervisor" "we have millions of orders, it is your job to keep checking on your refund status, there is nothing I can do" and hung up. Now my cc bill is up and I gotta pay for a fridge I don't have.

I bought a Samsung French Door Refrigerator in May of 2020 from Home Depot. It was delivered in June of 2020. Just over a year old and it's unusable. Temp readings shown on refrigerator are not the actual inside temps. Temps read normal but actual temp inside is 48+ in fridge section and 20+F in freezer. I had to throw out all of my food. Samsung has no tech in my area to look at it. Because of this they refuse to do anything about it. This is a known defect with Samsung refrigerators. They are not honoring the implied warranty. Parts are still under warranty. So without looking at it they are just saying it's out of warranty. How do they know what part is causing the issue? It can't be out of warranty if you don't even know the cause. The ice maker seems to be the biggest issue. So now I sit here 2 weeks later with no refrigerator and no option of getting one anytime soon.

Prices have almost doubled since I purchased this appliance. Not sure how hard it would even be to even get one with the shortage that's going on. Samsung has done nothing but play games over the last 2 weeks. I was offered nothing. No tech, no refund, and was told to find someone myself to look at it. Yet, if it's not a certified Samsung tech I void the parts of the warranty that are left. If they can't find one in my area, how can I?

A voicemail left yesterday says they're trying to get a hold of me to get someone here and today I have a text from the same guy saying there's nothing they can do. So I wonder if it had been within the first year and it malfunctioned, how would a tech have magically appeared? If there isn't one now there couldn't have been 4 months ago either. There's a class action lawsuit against them at this time. A FB group of 84,000 people complaining. It has made the news in several states. I would say they have a serious problem and they're in no hurry to do right by their customers.

Samsung has really stepped up their game. Customer service is available in a variety of methods- call/text/chat. Just like most products, many are backordered so look for one in stock locally. Their new products are smart appliances and work with Bixby so you don't have to install another app if you're already a Samsung user.

I was very pleased with the delivery of my new Samsung refrigerator! The 2 men did a great job and hooked up the waterline and did a fantastic job. I had no problems at all. They were here when they said they would be and both were very nice. I would recommend them.
