ALL FIVE OF MY BRAND NEW 2025 SAMSUNG PRODUCTS BROKE IN 12 MONTHS!!!!! We renovated our kitchen in 2024 and had a brand new top of the line Samsung refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, range, and even washer & Dryer installed. Every single thing but the dryer has broken. The dishwasher leaks all over the floor and the sensor is bad. The fridge condenser died and Samsung said even though it's covered under warranty I have to pay for diagnostics (???), the range motor died and three of the pilots on the stove crapped out. Overseas cust service is garbage and unhelpful.
The local repair tech said he's never seen anything like this. He mentioned the wires that flex every time you open and close the fridge doors are as thin as your hair, as if intentionally made to fail. He said they are woefully under-guaged to carry electricity and the parts are made super cheaply. He said 90% of his calls are for Samsung junk and it has reached an all new level of crap manufacturing. He explained they are a tech company that primarily makes phones and they don't make appliances, they just slap their names on the cheapest junk they can possibly make. It's all about $$$ and they could care less about the customer or the environment they're filling with waste. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG!!!

I have a french door 'smart' fridge with family hub internet access. In the third year of owning this very expensive fridge, the ice maker froze solid and quit working (I discovered today that there is a class action lawsuit in play for that very thing). It is On January 3, 2026 the family hub and internet quit working. In calling for repair (there is a sticker on the fridge saying 10 year warranty) I find that my warranty expired in September of 2025. I will never purchase Samsung appliances again. I never liked the fridge as it doesn't hold much. I am constantly rearranging to fit leftovers. I do need to say that the call center was very nice and helpful.

Samsung large appliance (refrigerator RF28R7351SG/AA. This was a defective fridge. Samsung customer service was very dishonest in the multiple recorded calls. Bottom line: The fridge was deemed unrepairable and was causing property damage. After case management and refund work were completed, a pro-rated refund was offered. However, it was punted to the right so many times, with Samsung denying any documentation, repair company not providing documentation despite videos, pictures. I provided all information needed to prove that it was designated unrepairable. Even provided a photo, video of the attempt to remove the inside label as requested, with the staff advising to send photo which occurred because it could not be removed, it was shredding.
Now, at the Supervisor level, I was denied any refund; the Sup'v even stated he was looking for something to deny my claim. Yes, when I stated it appears he was looking for something to deny a refund, he said Yes, I was, and I am denying. Samsung refuses to help any further per theirpolicy. Horrible experience related to a lemon fridge, an expensive lemon fridge. I was misled and treated unfairly. All documentation supported claims. They even gave a dollar amount early on.
Irreparable Reason by SamsungTech Support: The fridge was leaking related to the maker, the drain tubing was freezing up forcing water out of the evaporator and into the veggie and deli drawers, and the evaporator door in the back could not be removed as the bolt was stripped. The video and photos show that the liner was cracked and deemed unrepairable. The leaking damaged property. All of this was documented by the appliance repair company and submitted multiple times, every time Samsung stated they have not received anything from the service center. The service center even contacted Samsung who told them they did receive everything. It kept getting punted.
Finally, the refund dept stated they would issue the prorated refund of $971.69 and needed for me to remove the label and take a photo. The label would not come off without shredding, a paper label glued on. The agent stated to take a photo of the label and attach it to the text he sent, which I did. He knew I could not get it off as it just shredded. He advised that was OK, and said everything was finalized. Weeks later, and calls every week, the agents repeated that there is no documentation of a claim, repair or refund. The SUPV finally stated no refund, he was looking for a reason and the label was it. He did state (and recorded) that the fridge is proven irreparable. Then ended the call.

I purchased a Samsung Family Hub refrigerator through our builder. After the first year the refrigerator was replaced under warrant. After 2 years with the new refrigerator, the ice maker stopped working. At year 4 the freezer stopped freezing. When we contacted Samsung they made us go through a long process over the phone confirming that the freezer wasn't working before they would send a ticket to a repair company. In the large city of Denver, CO, there is only 1 authorized Samsung repair company which tells you a lot. After subpar service including being ghosted by this company for 2 weeks after a technician came to diagnose the issue and scheduled a part replacement that was within Samsung's 5 year warranty. Finally after 2 additional service appointments the issue was deemed unrepairable. Now the Freezer AND refrigerator no longer work.
In my mind this is a serious issue but not according to Samsung. I've been on the phone daily with 2 or more customer service agents from the service department and warranty department, wasting 2-3 hours of my day for them to ask me to provide the same thing over again, promising to help and follow up and then not doing so. I will never purchase a Samsung product again, especially not an appliance and would advise anyone out there to avoid this company. The least you can do as a business is to fix a problem you created. If you provide a warranty for defective products then stick to it. Samsung does not do that and they will never get my money again.

Yep I bought a 3 door Samsung too and the ice maker kept breaking. But I was smart and got the extended warranty at RC Willy and after 7 fixes they gave me a full credit for the refrigerator 5 years later. By the way Samsung was of no help. They know there's a problem and don't care. So, what did I do with my credit? I bought another Samsung. Why? Because it has better features and harder/thicker plastic than the others (LG, Kitchenaide, GE, etc). I got the one with the computer on the door. I'm excited. So glad I have at least 7 years with it before my warranty goes out. But I have a whole house warranty for $25 a month so maybe they will cover it when it's old. Wish me luck!

Junk - seriously junk. We bought Samsung Smartthings RF27C65400SR and it was delivered new. Immediately the ice and water did not work - they froze solid. The tech came out and "fixed" that issue, but the control panel then did not work. Thankfully we bought the service warranty, so they didn't charge us. Of course, the new control panel did not work. Eventually we were able to get the refrigerator replaced. With the new refrigerator the damper didn't work, so the refrigerator did not cool. It was 55-60 degrees for the refrigerator. The tech came out and "fixed" this issue, but not really. The refrigerator remains in the 55 degree temp and now the control panel does not work. WOW - we started this odyssey in October and now, we are about to January. RUN RUN RUN from this product.

A month later, the compressor went out. The Samsung tech came out to access so a repair person could come out. When the repair person came out they told us the fridge has so many problems with the compressor, they knew it was the compressor coolant leak. That was fixed and the fridge ran for about a month. The fridge is overheating again, I came downstairs, and the fridge was 52 degrees F. The tech is coming on Monday but I just want them to take it back. I don’t want the fridge, Samsung fridges are terrible products. Do not buy them!!!!!

Original review: Hello, all my story my refrigerator has gone out. The compressor, which is under warranty, has 10-year warranty. For 5 days, I have been on a call about this. All I need is a service center to repair. The one they gave me turned bad with me and the guy that called. So having them come is out of the question. Waiting for a supervisor to call me back. Purchased a new RS27T5200 from Lowe's on 4/20/2024 which stopped working December 2025. The freezer had ice melting and making icicles on the freezer door interior. I was on the phone for an hour with "technical support" to be told I needed to pay for a service call if I wanted to see what was broken, if anything. The house gets used 1 week a month, so the refrigerator lasted less than 5 months of regular use. When our daughter found out we had a problem, she asked if it was a Samsung. We were not aware that Samsung refrigerators have a reputation of freezers malfunctioning, but intend to never buy another Samsung product after this experience. Once the refrigerator was reset by unplugging, the freezer was at 64f and the refrigerator was at 60f.

Do NOT buy a Samsung refrigerator — especially the RF28N9780SR model. This refrigerator has been nothing but a nightmare. The ice maker stopped working about a year ago, the display panel malfunctioned, and now—less than five years after purchasing it—the compressor and entire cooling system have completely failed without warning. The refrigerator and freezer don’t cool at all. Samsung refuses to cover repairs because it’s “out of warranty,” even though a major appliance should last far longer than this. They will only cover parts, not labor, and they require me to prepay for another diagnostic appointment using their technician, despite previously telling me I could use my own. Now they will not honor that.
So far, this failure has cost me time, money, spoiled food, and endless frustration. Samsung’s customer service has been unhelpful and inconsistent, and they take no responsibility for what is clearly a premature breakdown of a major appliance. Save yourself the headache and money—do not buy a Samsung refrigerator or Samsung appliances. The quality and customer support are far below what consumers deserve.

POOR QUALITY WITH SMOKE-AND-MIRRORS WARRANTY -- FRAUD/BETRAYAL: French Door Refrigerator MODEL #: RF24BB6600 QLAA. Parts falling off under normal use. I found a part on my kitchen floor and did not know what it was nor where it came from. I put it in a drawer. The next day when closing the right-side door, a part fell and hit the floor and I saw that it was the same part as the one I found on the floor the day before. I looked up the part online and found it is Samsung Part DA61-13385A Support Door-Close. This part keeps the doors properly seated and properly closed so as to keep a good seal on the doors so fool doesn't spoil.
I have the extended warranty. I filed a claim. They sent a technician who smelled very very badly and was dirty named Alek. Alek said, "You have the second worst fridge in the world." I asked him who was the No. 1 worst and Alek said "LG is No. 1 worst." Alek said this plastic part breaks all the time and it is due to it being plastic and poor manufacturing. Alek submitted his report and THE SAMSUNG CLAIMS DEPARTMENT DENIED MY CLAIM AND REFUSED TO FIX IT.
Additionally, they told me they will not do any other repairs that may be needed unless and until I have the doors fixed myself. I asked them to tell me what the fix is, what parts are needed, and they refused to tell me what exactly the fix is and what parts are needed. SAMSUNG CARES and SAMSUNG CLAIMS DEPT. and ANTECH APPLIANCE REPAIR in San Diego gave me the run-around for days and NO ONE TOOK RESPONSIBILITY OR ACCOUNTABILITY.
Samsung does not honor their warranty. Instead, they make up lies to get out of doing the repairs. SAMSUNG CLAIMS DEPT. is called ASSURANT which is an $11 billion business of which I am certain they are that profitable due to all their lies. It's fraud. They are committing fraud. They are fraudulently representing one thing and then doing another and pretended they really care. I currently sent a DEMAND LETTER to corporate and when they ignore my DEMANDS, which we all know they will, I will then file my lawsuit against SAMSUNG and against ANTECH APPLIANCE COMPANY for monetary damages, punitive damage, and fraud. BEWARE! DO NOT PURCHASE SAMSUNG REFRIGERATORS but if you do, do not waste your time on their "CARES" warranty because is nothing more than smoke and mirrors!

We are extremely disappointed with Samsung customer service and customer care. My experience with their refrigerator has been incredible frustrating. We bought this fridge for almost $3000, After just less than 2 months of owning this refrigerator, it completely stopped cooling freezer, we had to do troubleshooting 2 times every month then came 2 times a week then just stopped working for good. For about 4 months ago our fridge stopped working for good. It was showing that we need new filter, we got new filter, 1 month later start doing the same. New filter required so we got a new one again and again and again, after 4 filters later started showing that the filter is good but with warm water for some reason. Not even two years old and crapped out. Unfortunately, all of my food spoiled and had to be thrown away.
We (family of 7) cannot use our fridge so we are stuck wasting money and eating out for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We wasted so much money this year like no other year combined, Luckily it's cold outside where I can put milk for my kids. Trying to get ahold of someone is insanely hard and we finally scheduled an appointment for 12/1/25 that I paid $140 fee. They never showed up and didn’t even called to reschedule. Family of 7 (5 kids and 2 adults) had to suffer for year and months. We will never trust Samsung again, they should not be allowed to sell refrigerator in the market due to its extremely poor quality and bad customer services. ***TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE | TERRIBLE BPO CALL CENTER Samsung Uses in the Philippines*** Samsung Appliances First-Year Warranty (Purchased at Nebraska Furniture Mart – Texas). I’m sharing this review based on my personal experience with the Samsung appliances first-year warranty that I received through Nebraska Furniture Mart in Texas — and unfortunately, the support process has been extremely disappointing. When I needed service on a Samsung appliance during the first year, I discovered that Samsung’s warranty support is handled through an overseas call center. The level of service I received was far below what I expected from a major brand and from a product purchased through NFM.
During multiple calls, I was placed on hold for very long periods — OVER an HOUR — without anyone returning to the line. Each time, the explanation was that agents were “notating the account,” but there were no updates, no check-ins, and no sense of urgency. In the U.S., call center standards usually require agents to check on customers who are on hold, and this experience felt unprofessional and dismissive.
Overall, it seemed unnecessarily difficult to get basic warranty assistance, as if the process was more focused on avoiding service than providing it. As someone who purchased Samsung appliances and relied on the first-year warranty through Nebraska Furniture Mart, I expected a much smoother and more accountable support experience.
I truly hope Samsung and its support partners take these concerns seriously. Good warranty service is a crucial part of the customer experience, especially within the first year of ownership. Experiences like mine are why many consumers support concepts such as the “Keep Call Centers in America Act,” which could help improve customer service quality, oversight, and accountability for companies operating in the U.S. market. I hope Samsung improves its first-year warranty support for future customers who depend on it when their appliance needs service. Samsung, you can do much better! Your BPO Call Center in the Philippines is Terrible!

But in 2022 it started malfunctioning, and despite countless service visits over a year and a half, the problems were never truly fixed. When the warranty finally expired, Samsung simply told us they were no longer responsible.
It was incredibly disappointing and honestly felt unfair. After everything we went through, I can say that Samsung has been a terrible brand when it comes to refrigerators. I can’t speak for their other appliances, but this experience was enough for me. I’m sharing this so others know what they might be getting into before buying a Samsung refrigerator.

Once they came out, they charged us over $630, the refrigerator worked for a while then broke in a week, we went through another round to have the agent come back but the repair failed.
When we called Samsung, they refused to take the responsibilities to refund the repair fee or refund part of the $2000 we spent in buying a lemon! They first said they would do something after we have documentation proven that the agent has come out twice but failed, once we got all the documentation to Samsung, they then said that because the refrigerator is out of warranty, they can't do anything about it. In fact, the HSN customer service representative specifically told me that after she checked with the appropriate department at HSN she was told they weren’t going to return and honor the warranty. I will outline the timeline.

Monday, September 8, 2025 - I called HSN back and finally spoke with a customer service representative after holding for 45 minutes. That’s when HSN told me they weren’t going to honor the warranty that’s spelled out in the receipt. I then called Samsung, and they told me they would directly contact HSN. Later that day I received a repair ticket number from Samsung and was told HSN would contact me to schedule a repair. I never heard from them despite removing all call blockers on my phone and having HSN’s main number in my contacts.
Monday, September 15, 2025 - Nearly another week went by and spoke with Samsung again on Friday, September 12, but the call was cut off. I finally spoke with Samsung Monday, September 15. Tuesday, September 16, 2025 - Samsung texted me saying they are “attempting to contact Home Service Network, Inc. and will send an SMS update within 1 business day.” I also emailed HSN and received a response this day saying they would reach out to schedule a repair. I responded by giving them my wife’s cell, which they acknowledged, and suggested they try it first. Neither my wife nor I received a call.
Wednesday, September 17, 2025 - I received another text from Samsung saying the same thing. I never received a follow up text from Samsung. Thursday, September 18, 2025 - My wife received a text, and I received an email saying the “Your Service Ticket 4182354359 has been cancelled. Reason: Can't contact Customer.” Our refrigerator, model number RF28R7351SG/AA, was purchased in May 2021 at a cost of nearly $3,000. After this ordeal and the contempt and utter disregard both Samsung and Home Service Network, Inc., has shown us I will never buy another Samsung appliance, and I suggest the same for you.

Almost 3 weeks now and no telling how long it will be since the part has to be ordered due to being under warranty. We have had nothing but the runaround. Would give negative stars if possible.

Bought a Samsung fridge in 2009. Have had it repaired for the same issue three times in the last 15 years by different companies and the last company told me my particular model had a defective part that was supposed to replaced a few years after I got it. All customer service talks about is being outside of warranty, not that they have a known issue with all refrigerators with the same model as me. And have had that issue all these years. There’s no accountability with this company. Their products are terrible but what’s even more terrible is their customer service, lack of communication and empathy. I have already spend $600 in repairs minimum on this hunk of junk when come to find out there’s been a defective part this entire time and all the repairs I’ve had were just bandaids.
If I had bought a truck and there was a defective part at ANYTIME I OWNED THE VEHICLE, they would send me a recall notice. For safety. How is that any different with the food we are consuming? How do I know my refrigerator is keeping my food at safe temperatures if there is a huge sheet of ice on the back wall of it clogging my vents! Maybe I should contact a lawyer? DO BETTER SAMSUNG. We purchased a Samsung refrigerator, smart hub, the one with the screen, our previous refrigerator had problems with the ice maker. The Samsung refrigerator cost 3000.00, so I figured with price comes quality right? BIG MISTAKE, the ice maker conked out 6 months after we bough it, there was a procedure to defrost the ice maker on line just like every other appliance manufacture, so for the last 8 years or so we have been using this procedure and getting by, it's cheaper than having it serviced every year.
Now SAMSUNG has changed the software so you can only defrost it buy unplugging it, and leaving the door open for several hours, don't be fooled. This is to increase their service income. No consideration for the food in there, doesn't surprise me, the product it terrible, and customer service is just as bad, avoid this company at all cost, for them it's all about the $$$. I am very disappointed. I purchased a Samsung washer and dryer several years ago and had no problems. So, of course, I looked at Samsung for my kitchen appliances. First of all, I don't think I should have to put my appliances on my wifi to register them. Second, 4 months in, and I regret the purchase. The refrigerator doors have an alarm that only seems to work when doors are wide open. I found the door cracked (and have no idea how long), and the alarm did not sound. The ice is inconsistent in form. The crescent-like shapes come out broken, crusty, and ugly. tiny pieces fly all over and not into the cup. Water drips and runs after you release the pad, and stays messy.
I would assume the new fridge came with a filter in it, but the dried water left white calcification, making the indoor feature look old and dirty. The microwave makes noise when it starts and I have to restart several times to make it stop. Then, door all of a sudden started catching when you open and close it. There are no kids in the house, and there's been no abuse or incident that would cause this problem. The last straw; they do not offer service hours on the weekend! I'm very disappointed with the entire kitchen appliance set. Overall, I will take a major loss when I move to sell these for a different brand.

I really like this refrigerator with the exception of the ice maker. It is in the refrigerator, not the freezer, and was constantly becoming jammed. Samsung installed a new ice maker that was supposed to be the fix. However, now ice is made, but it doesn’t stay completely frozen. This results in cubes that are frozen together and water leaking from the dispenser. We contacted Samsung, and they replaced the ice maker again at a cost to us of over $300. We still have the problem and they have not responded to our feedback that the issue had not been resolved.

After being a Samsung customer for many years I can honestly say I would never trust this company ever again. I currently own a Samsung refrigerator, 2 Samsung televisions, 3 Samsung Tablets, and one Samsung phone. 2 weeks ago my 5 and a half year old refrigerator stopped working. The freezer went first and of course it happened after a Costco frozen food restock I had done days before. I lost over 250.00 worth of frozen food. I called Samsung and waited on hold for over an hour to be disconnected 2 minutes after my call was picked up. I then decided to try live chat. We did some troubleshooting and after nothing worked he suggested I set up a repair. The refrigerator of course was past the 5 year warranty so I was warned the fridge was out of warranty. There is a sticker that came on the refrigerator which reads “10 year warranty on the compressor” Underneath that it says Digital Inverter Technology.
When I called Samsung back later that day and again waited on hold for an hour they told me there are only 2 places in your area that are Samsung authorized repair technicians and there would be a considerable wait to schedule them. The chat agent reminded me I’m out of warranty. I said I understand that but my fridge has a sticker that states “10 year warranty on the compressor”. They said yes the compressor is covered for 10 years. With this information and not wanting to wait too long I figured let me try and contact some local appliance repair places in my area to find out if it was in fact a bad compressor. I spent the day calling about 6 appliance repair places only to hear from every single one of them that they will no longer come out to look at Samsung refrigerators. They said there are too many problems with them and we no longer come out to fix them.
The next day the fridge portion of the refrigerator also stopped working. Obviously all this food had to eventually be thrown away so more money down the drain. I call Samsung back and again after waiting an hour I say I need to set up the Samsung authorized repair. They remind me again I’m out of warranty and I’ll have to pay for the technician to come out and pay for the labor. I said, "Ok fine, but what if they find out it’s the compressor as I have a 10 year warranty." Again Samsung tells me yes if it is the compressor it will be covered under warranty. I need everyone to notice the trend here. I’m being told my compressor is covered under a 10 year warranty. At no point does anyone tell me otherwise. (This will be a very important part to the story later on.)
I’m told the Samsung repair technician will contact me within 48 hours to schedule a visit to my house. Luckily I only have to wait less than 24 hours for this place to call me and schedule me. They could only get to my house 4 days later. So now with no fridge and no freezer I’m told I need to wait another 4 days just to have someone come out. With no other option I set up the appointment.
The Samsung authorized repair place came to my house at the scheduled time and a very nice technician said to me the first thing I need to do is a test that Samsung requires to determine if it is in fact the compressor. After completing his test he tells me the compressor does not work. He also shows me a leak in the back of my fridge. He tells me this leak was caused by the compressor not working. He recommends I completely unplug my refrigerator to prevent further leaking. At this point he tells me I am covered for 10 years for my compressor (The third time I’m being told this fact) but his particular repair company does not handle the actual repair of compressors past the 5 year time frame. He tells me he will submit his report and pictures he took of the leak directly to Samsung. He told me to wait 2 hours for them to receive the report.
He then told me after 2 hours for me to contact Samsung and have them set up the compressor replacement under my 10 year warranty and that they will have to send whatever company does the compressor replacement after 5 years. After 2 hours I call Samsung and you guessed it, waited on hold for over an hour. When they finally answer I explain the report should be submitted and that I was told by the technician that they would need to set up the replacement and repair. Samsung at this point tells me the report says that my refrigerator has a leak but does not mention the compressor.
Obviously I’m very confused at this point and explain to them that the technician was here and did the test that Samsung requires to determine if the compressor is bad. He did that test and confirmed it was the compressor. The phone agent says she will put me on hold and call the repair place. After 2 minutes she comes back on to tell me nobody picked up so there is currently nothing she can do. I said, "Ok. I will need this escalated because I’ve been without a working refrigerator for over a week." She tells me my ticket number will be submitted to the back office for further review.
The next day having heard nothing I call again and this time I wait on hold for 1 hour and 35 minutes to speak to someone. This agent tells me he will put me in touch with the Samsung service manager. I speak to the Samsung service manager who was a very nice man and offered to call the repair place again for me while I waited. Again there is no answer and again he tells me that the back office department has my case and my ticket number and they will continue to call the repair place to clear up whatever issue was in the report. He tells me I should hear back from someone in 1 business day. This was on a Friday around 3 pm so at this point I know I’m going the entire weekend without getting anything resolved.
At 9 a.m. Monday morning I call Samsung yet again and after hearing the wait time I decide to get on live chat instead. I get through to live chat after 45 minutes for the chat agent to tell me there is nothing they can do because the back office has my case. Later on that day I decide to call Samsung yet again and try a phone agent again. I explain my issue again and am told once again the back office department has my case. At this point, at the end of my patience, I decide to email the Samsung CEO department and explain my entire situation.
A woman from the CEO department contacts me the next day, now 2 weeks since my refrigerator stopped working. She says to me, "I’m very sorry for the inconvenience but you are not covered for a compressor for 10 years, you are only covered for a digital inverter compressor." I said, "I’m sorry but I’m not sure what that means." She said that’s different from the compressor and the compressor itself is not covered under the 10 year warranty. Now first of all, how is it that I spoke to as least 10 Samsung support people over 2 weeks, including a Samsung authorized repair technician and not one person mentioned this information to me. I kept asking all of these people if my compressor was covered under a 10 year warranty, and not one person ever said, "Well just so you know the compressor is not covered, the warranty is referring to a “different” compressor."
The sticker that came on my refrigerator that I mentioned earlier says 10 year warranty on the compressor. There is no fine print that says the warranty is only on the digital inverter compressor. She then tells me that if I want to set up the repair I will be responsible for the cost of all the parts and labor which as you know would end up being almost as expensive as just buying a completely new refrigerator. I said to her, "If one person in 2 weeks’ time would have given me this information I would have went out and purchased a refrigerator immediately instead of waiting and waiting for a resolution that never came. Can someone explain to me why Samsung sent out a repair technician to my home to perform a test to see if my compressor is bad if this test was completely useless in regards to the warranty?" The repair technician specifically said Samsung requires this test and the test failed.
Furious I ask her if my case can be escalated further as not only did I receive incorrect information, it took 2 weeks for someone to give me the correct information. My refrigerator is not even 6 years old. I lost hundreds of dollars’ worth of food. She told me there is nobody above her that this can be escalated to and she also told me that Samsung will not even offer me compensation for food loss cost. Mind you this is a billion dollar company that couldn’t even at least offer me that for the inconvenience and run around I was put through.
Samsung should be absolutely ashamed of their business practice and how they treat their customers. If you are only going to cover whatever the digital inverter compressor is then the sticker on my refrigerator should specifically tell me that information. The sticker says 10 year warranty on the compressor. The numerous support agents could have at any time told me don’t waste your time or money to get your compressor checked because we won’t cover that specific compressor if it is bad. I still don’t understand why I needed to pay a repair technician to come out to do a test for a product that Samsung won’t replace. I’m now out shopping for a new refrigerator 2 weeks later and you better believe I’m telling every single person I encounter shopping for a new fridge to never purchase a Samsung refrigerator. I will continue to warn people against this company any chance I get.
Samsung, you might want to change your wording on your compressor warranty and advise your support agents to tell everyone that faces this situation that Samsung only covers the “other” compressor. Regular people like me see a 10 year warranty “on the compressor” and believe it. Thank you for taking 2 weeks to finally give me the news that I need to start shopping for a new refrigerator because Samsung makes refrigerators that only last 5 years. It’s ultimately my fault for not reading the endless horrible reviews before purchasing a Samsung refrigerator but I’ll never make that mistake again.

I’ve been a loyal Samsung customer for years and currently own several of their products, including two TVs, a sound system, and two refrigerators. Unfortunately, my recent experience with Samsung has left me extremely disappointed and frustrated—particularly with their lack of support for high-end appliances like the RF28R7551SR refrigerator.
In just four years, the ice maker on this refrigerator has failed twice. Despite the obvious defect, Samsung provides no meaningful support once the warranty expires. I recently attempted to contact Samsung for technical guidance and repair options, fully willing to pay out-of-pocket for a technician. Instead, I was bounced between departments and ultimately brushed off with no resolution. I was left to attempt repairs myself—replacing the ice maker—only to find that the issue still persists. It's unacceptable that a premium appliance like this is so unreliable, and that Samsung offers no real path to service.
To make matters worse, I recently had to replace a 75-inch Samsung TV that failed just after the warranty period. Again, Samsung refused to send a technician or even provide basic troubleshooting help, despite it likely being a simple board replacement. Their unwillingness to support products—even when customers are ready to pay—shows a complete disregard for customer loyalty and long-term product value. Given my experience with both failed appliances and the lack of customer service, I’ve decided I will no longer purchase Samsung products. When you invest in premium devices, you expect not only quality but also support. Unfortunately, Samsung has failed on both fronts.

I am beyond disappointed with Samsung. We purchased a Samsung refrigerator that was still under warranty, and when it failed and flooded our kitchen, we expected the company to honor their commitment and make it right. Instead, we were dragged through months of stress, empty promises, and complete lack of responsibility.
Our refrigerator began having issues in early November 2024. It ultimately flooded our kitchen on November 7th, and despite repeated calls, emails, and service attempts, Samsung failed to properly fix the issue. We were left without a working fridge until February 1st, 2025—nearly three months without proper food storage, with three young children in the house.
What made things worse is that the refrigerator was still under warranty, but instead of replacing the clearly defective unit, Samsung kept sending technicians who couldn’t fix the problem or blamed it on something else. No accountability. No resolution. Eventually, we had no choice but to come up with the money out of pocket to purchase a new fridge from another brand—money we didn’t have readily available. This entire ordeal has been exhausting and completely avoidable if Samsung had simply done the right thing. I’ve lost trust in the brand and will never purchase another Samsung appliance again. About 3 years ago, my wife and I purchased a Samsung RF27T5201SG/AA refrigerator. Needless to say, it only took 3 years for it to die. It has a 10 year warranty on the compressor, but the wiring from the control board to the compressor went bad. The manufacturer one-year warranty does not cover this. Home warranty companies do not cover wiring, and because it is an "internal" wire, the refrigerator was unrepairable. $2400 gone, just like that. Additionally, in the time we had it, it continually went through filters, even though we have a whole house water filtration system with reverse osmosis.
The ice maker continually froze over so it stopped making ice and was difficult to get to in order to defrost it because it locked the ice bin in where it couldn't be easily removed to get to the problem. While Samsung is good for electronics, I have now had an experience and heard many other horror stories about the poor products within their appliance lines. Never again.

Subject: WORST Appliance Experience of My Life - 3 Days Old, 3 Weeks Wait, 2 Day "Fix", NO REFUND!**. Rating: ★☆☆☆☆ (1 Star - Should be ZERO). Do NOT buy this Samsung refrigerator. My experience has been an absolute nightmare and a textbook example of how not to treat a customer.
1. Instant Failure: The refrigerator worked for a grand total of 3 DAYS after delivery before completely dying. For a brand-new, premium-priced appliance, this is unacceptable.
2. Unacceptable Repair Wait: I was then forced to wait THREE WEEKS!!! Just for a technician to show up. Three weeks without a functioning refrigerator! Imagine the spoiled food, the cost, the sheer inconvenience.
3. **Repair Lasted... 2 Days: The technician "fixed" it. Great, right? WRONG. The repair held for a pathetic TWO DAYS before it broke down *again*. Clearly, whatever was done was inadequate or misdiagnosed.
4. Samsung's Shameful Response: Desperate and furious, I called Samsung directly, expecting them to make this right with a replacement or refund given the brand-new appliance was DOA and their repair failed immediately. Their response? They REFUSED.** Flat out refused a replacement or refund. Their "solution"? Schedule ANOTHER service call. Are you kidding me?
5. 25+ Days and Counting WITHOUT A FRIDGE. My refrigerator died on June 12, 2025. Today is July 7, 2025. That means I have been without a functioning refrigerator for over 25 DAYS because of Samsung's defective product and their abysmal customer service and repair process.
Summary of Samsung's Process:* Sell you a lemon that breaks instantly.
* Make you wait weeks for repair.
* Perform a repair so shoddy it fails within days.
* Refuse to replace the clearly defective unit or refund your money.
* Demand you start the broken repair process all over again, leaving you without an essential appliance indefinitely.
The Cost: Beyond the cost of the fridge itself, consider weeks of wasted groceries, constant takeout, the stress, and the time wasted dealing with their incompetent service. Final Warning: Samsung does not stand behind their products. Their customer service is rigid, uncaring, and focused on pushing you through a broken repair loop rather than solving the problem. They have zero concern for the customer's hardship. BUYER BEWARE. Look at ANY other brand. Spending this much money on an appliance should not result in this level of disrespect and failure. Refrigerator was continue working, until June 27, 2025. I found out my freezer not working temperature was 65 degrees foringate, But screen show normal: Top 37, freezer 0. After I rebooted refrigerator, it showed real: top 37, freezer 65. I checked all fans inside, no problem, I decided to keep refrigerator off 24 hours. After that time. Top and bottom wasn’t working: I called Samsung, they make me appointment for July 3. Diagnostic guy came, and tell me I have Freon leakage.
I pay him $130, for diagnostic. He gave me phone number for his repair shop, when I call and ask questions, they put me on hold, and I received text message: Repair will cost $350, non-refundable even if unrepairable. Parts will cost $970, non-refundable, even unrepairable, service will carry no warranty after repair (repairable/unrepairable) Say yes or no. After I answer no. They close trouble ticket. I call Samsung USA, no result. They tell me it their policy like this. My solution: never again. I purchased new refrigerator, different name, for $2300 with 6 years warranty.

I bought a Samsung fridge that I loved until the 3 year warranty passed. The ice maker would freeze over so it wasn’t making ice then it would leak outside and inside the fridge into the condiment compartments. Because the ice would freeze inside you couldn’t get the bucket out. The last time it froze (5 times total in 6 months) a piece of the bucket broke off when pulling it out. I called customer service and they told me they’d cover the parts inside the ice maker but not the bucket. Then went back and said they’d only cover the parts inside if I bought a new bucket ($190). I was on the phone for 1.5 hours and the conversation went backwards, and I would have to cover the labor. They have terrible customer service and apparently this is an issue with all their ice makers. I would not recommend their fridges to anyone.

I'm throwing this $1,800 fridge away and getting a NON SAMSUNG fridge. The freezer seems to close fine, but it isn't, and a few hours later everything is melted even though it's on and gets cold. No issues with the fridge.
I have to be very careful and thorough when closing the freezer and triple push in the left upper side of the freezer drawer. Otherwise there will be a small gap and everything gets ruined and then you just have puddles of water. How can a modern $2K refrigerator be so horrible? My 6-year-old Samsung fridge has had the icemaker worked on 5 times, replaced once, motherboard replaced, the water line replaced because they said it was too small and spraying water and freezing up the icemaker, and this week the compressor died. The cost to repair it was more than a new fridge, even though the compressor was still under warranty. They were going to charge me $750 to $1000 to put freon in a new compressor. They dropped it to $550 to $650, but told us they could not guarantee us it would work in three months because they would have to cut the lines and solder them back with a new compressor. We ended up buying a new LG.
So far we have spent $500 for the first service call with the ice maker when it went out at 13 months, just out of warranty (they did agree to provide the part but not the labor), then $140 for the service call this week, not to mention the garbage bag full of food that we lost. The Samsung is off to the dump and still costing me money, as I had to pay to have it hauled away.

A Samsung technician confirmed the compressor issue, but despite the 10-year warranty, the company refused to cover the repair, citing that I would have to pay $1,600. This left me with a costly repair bill and a fridge that’s now unreliable. The process was frustrating, with poor communication and bad customer service.
I chose Samsung for its reputation and warranty promise, but this experience has been deeply disappointing. When the compressor went out, they said we were beyond our warranty and Lowe’s couldn’t/ wouldn’t do anything to help. It’s a shame Lowe’s wants to sell a faulty appliance, but for a company to misrepresent their warranty and charge for someone to come out (plus charge for the parts) is ridiculous. I hope this is a warning for those looking. DON'T BUY A SAMSUNG unless you’re asking for trouble!

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, and even 3 times, shame on me. I purchased my first Samsung refrigerator a few years ago and instantly had ice maker problems. I was given a replacement (different model) until they could repair mine. Few weeks went by and they said it wasn’t able to be fixed and I could keep the one they loaned me. Which was a bigger and newer model than mine. It didn’t take but a few months before that one started doing the same exact thing. I took that refrigerator out and put it in my garage because at least everything else worked and I could have a fridge in there.
So I went with the wife to purchase another refrigerator, with in mind I wasn’t going to purchase another Samsung again, but the wife loved the French door with two slide out drawers below that, one being the freezer. I was told Samsung was aware of the freezing issues and should be fixed. Well I took his word for it and bought the one she wanted, and guess what? Yep, about a year (and that’s stretching it) later, frozen ice maker. I have all Samsung appliances and I will never buy another one. They don’t care to fix the issue, even with over 100,000 complaints about the exact issue. They may look nice, but it’s frustrating when you have to pull the ice maker out and chisel blocks of ice out of the ice dispenser every day, just to get ice in your cup.

This refrigerator needs to be taken apart and Ice broken off of the back panel every two months or so. Unless you defrost it every 3 weeks it will build up ice and the refrigerator stops working. If it goes longer than a month without defrosting it the freezer will also stop working which has caused me to have to replace food four times in the past year. I would have never thought you would have to defrost your refrigerator every 3 weeks when we purchased this refrigerator. My recommendation is to go another route and never buy a Samsung refrigerator. When you call for technical support it takes about 20 minutes of verifications and troubleshooting for them to tell you that it's not covered even though they know that it is a faulty design and as we started having issues and looking it up we realized how many people have this problem.

And now it trips every GFCI outlet in my kitchen — making it completely useless where it’s meant to be installed.
My home is brand new (built in 2021), and I even had a licensed electrician replace the outlet and confirm everything is wired perfectly. Samsung support kept trying to blame my house instead of addressing what is clearly a defect in the fridge. It took way too much effort just to get a warranty repair scheduled. On top of all that? The stainless steel finish collects fingerprints like crazy, and the interior feels cheap and flimsy — nothing like what you'd expect for this price point. The shelves and drawers feel more budget than premium. If you’re shopping based on aesthetics and smart features, don’t fall for it. As far as performance is concerned, the Bespoke 4 door fridge functions well. The pitfall comes in replacing the water filter, which is required every 6 months for optimal performance. In order to accomplish this, you must turn off the water supply to the unit. This requires you to pull the unit out from the wall to access the turnoff valve, which is located in the back of the fridge. This is very inconvenient and not at all practical.

Avoid This Samsung Fridge at All Costs! If I could give this fridge zero stars, I would. Bought the Samsung RF28HFEDBSR/AA, and within a short time, the compressor failed—meaning it stopped cooling completely. You know, the ONE job a refrigerator is supposed to do? I contacted Samsung warranty service, expecting a quick resolution. Big mistake. It took them six weeks just to locate the replacement parts. SIX WEEKS without a working fridge! And to make matters worse, Samsung doesn't even stock their own parts—which is just bizarre for a major appliance brand.
Every call with customer service was an endless loop of excuses. No urgency, no care, just delays. Meanwhile, I had to throw out spoiled food and find alternative solutions to keep things cold. I wish to share my experience with Samsung appliances since we bought all new Samsung products in 2017. At that time we purchased a refrigerator, dishwasher, range, and microwave. Refrigerator: Less than two years after our purchase, the top ice maker stopped working on the refrigerator. I tried to have it repaired, but Samsung had no solutions that would work other than to completely replace it and allow them to profit again. So we have not had the top ice maker since 2018. Fast forward about 3 years, and one of the brackets that hold the handle on the freezer broke, so I had to rig up a way to repair it. Currently, on of the door shelves has broken, not due to any kind of abuse, and will no longer contain items.
Range: While under warranty, the ceramic top chipped at one of the burners. Again, no abuse, only normal cooking. We called in for repair and after it was looked at, Samsung refused to stand behind it. About a year ago, one of the front burners completely stopped working. Microwave: Completely stopped working about 6 months ago. Dishwasher: One minor repair, but overall not a problem, other than it does a terrible job cleaning. Oftentimes, I removed dishes after going through a cycle and it looks as if water never touch them. when I've made certain that they are in complete clearance of the water. I'm not one to ever wish bad things for anyone, but Samsung is a crooked company underserving of any level of success.

For the second time our Bespoke had a door dent from transit. The first one was replaced and now the second one needs to. I cannot get help from anyone to handle either replacing the door panel where it is dented or to ship a new unit. I prefer just a door panel so my kitchen installers can install the unit.
I have been in the phone for almost an hour repeating the same situation over and over. Each department explains that someone else needs to handle this situation. It goes on and on and one. Don't ever buy a Samsung refrigerator or Appliance. They're well known to have problems especially with the ice maker.

I bought a 4 door flex refrigerator form Samsung directly. After waiting several months for delivery and the freight company kept delaying by weeks at a time, I cancelled my order and bought the same model from Designer Appliances. I got delivery a few days later. A few months later I realized a small shelf in the door was broken. I brought the shelf back to Designer Appliances who told me they would get a replacement. This never happened.
After nearly a year, they told me to contact Samsung directly. After 40 minutes speaking with numerous people who could not seem to follow what I was asking about, I gave up. Eventually I looked into buying a replacement shelf and realized there was a whole other shelf designed to wrap around the water pitcher that I had never gotten. I called Samsung again to confirm this was an actual part that was supposed to come with the refrigerator. Samsung confirmed that it was a missing part but that I would have to purchase it because it has been more than a year. I am supposed to pay a second time for a part I didn't get to begin with?! This is not a warranty issue. Apparently they will just leave parts out and you have to be careful because Samsung will not take responsibility for delivering everything you pay for, and neither will Designer Appliances.

After 13 months, the refrigerator stopped making ice and the filter light came on. Replaced the filter, per the user manual needed to wait 12 hours before ice could be expected. Filtered through water as directed but no ice was made. Waited another 8 hrs still no ice. We had water but not ice. Reread the manual and couldn't figure out what was wrong so went to the internet. Learned how to reset the filter and reset it the filter light went off. After 12 hrs still no ice. Again to the internet. Next was resetting the ice maker itself. After 12 hours still no ice.
I went through all the troubleshooting options before calling Samsung customer service who then asked that we reset the whole appliance by disconnecting the power for a few moments. So did that, after the power was restore the refrigerator now doesn't register the temperature the damn appliance and then I was told it was no longer under warranty. One month! I am one month past warranty and it's going to cost me out of pocket to have it serviced. I'm so bloody livid. Will never buy another Samsung appliance. Wouldn't accept one if you offered it to me at no cost, waste of money!

I would like to share my negative experience with Samsung, not their products, but the Company and how they handle my issue. My out of warranty refrigerator had a problem, so I called Samsung for service; they sent Home Service Network, and after checking for what was wrong with my unit, explained to me that I needed two parts replaced; the technician also told me that they could not fix it because they only service in-warranty products; and that’s where the problem lies! I paid them the diagnostic fee and called Samsung. A representative sent another company, Tekon to fix the issue. They came out twice: the first time to replace that part and unfairly had to pay the service fee again, but since the unit was not working after that repair, they came back again and told me that to fix it it would cost around $1,000, and also told me that it would make more sense to buy a new one.
In the midst of all this, I was going back and forth, via email, with Samsung CEO. I wanted them to refund me the second service fee of $120, since it was Samsung who sent the first service company by mistake. The CEO pretty much brushed it under the carpet and I was left feeling extremely dissatisfied with their handling of the situation and found their professional ethics to be misplaced! Moral of the story: Please be careful when dealing with Samsung about any service you might need for all your out of warranty Samsung products.

I purchased my refrigerator with freezer on the bottom less than 5 years ago. I even purchased the 3 year warranty. In the first few months the fridge went out. Called for repair and found out it was in store model mode. Then it still went out. Replaced the back panel within the first year. Still didn’t work. Had to call again. Wasn’t completely wired right. Worked a few more months then out again. Needed all of my groceries replaced. They even had to buy me a small refrigerator with a freezer. Another repair company worked on it again. It worked for a few years. Had to have the back inside panel replaced. Only worked a few months. Finally had to buy a new refrigerator. The freezer still works. I tell everybody NOT to buy Samsung appliances ever again. They don’t last.

Absolute worst customer service I've experienced with any purchase. After 9 months, ice maker stopped working and freezer not freezing. Submitted a ticket for repair under warranty and tech came out. Told me just needed to order a part and will come back in 3-5 days. Tech stopped responding and no one returned messages. Created another ticket and was told my house had been flagged for infestation of roaches. I tried to calmly explain there was a misunderstanding or someone mixed up houses. Refused to come back until we had in writing from pest control. Fine, we have active pest control service and provided in writing. Call to reschedule and they said that my unit was flagged as out of warranty due to issues caused by roach infestation.
I explained I had paperwork from pest control stating absolutely no indication of roaches in our house and they didn’t care. Asked to talk to a manager and they literally told me there is no one else to talk to. I was so over the whole thing so I decided to hire a repairman who told me the compressor was broke and it would be at least $1k plus. Now I know why Samsung made up an absolutely absurd story out of nowhere. Went back and read reviews with TONS of exact same issues. I will absolutely NEVER buy another Samsung product in my life. If I wasn’t still paying for my husband's phone I’d throw that in the trash too out of spite.

CAVEAT EMPTOR: We purchased our refrigerator in 2021 and already both the vegetable and meat drawers, made of cheap plastic, The cost to have the drawer replaced is $157 each using Samsung's J&J Parts. We are elderly and don't even use the refrigerator at the same frequency of say a family of 4 and we aren't brutes whereby we exert a lot of force when opening and closing the plastic drawers. Also to clean underneath the interior glass that sits above the meat and vegetable drawers you have to use a screwdriver to dismantle the entire frame structure. It is a 2-man exercise. In the past refrigerators were easy to simply clean the top and bottom surfaces of the glass tops. Sadly this is a terrible and cheap product and customer service is poor with the company always trying to push you to texting. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product.

We bought a Samsung french door refrigerator 7 years ago. Recently we got a lot of water inside and it leaked out the refrigerator and onto the floor. Calls to samsung were to no avail. Looked on YouTube and found out that there is a known icing issue that allows ice to build up and eventually melt to water and flood the fridge. The supposed fix is to buy a small clip, take the whole fridge apart, allow to defrost and remove inner back panel to install the clip. Do not know if that will work but did it anyway. Huge project that samsung should really pay for as the defect is known and was most likely happening when new though we did not notice until now. The fridge is a piece of junk and not supported by samsung so buyer beware...

Samsung called before refrigerator delivery to review installation process and preparations, which was nice. During the call I asked if the install team would come with the water hose and hook up the water drinking and ice. The representative indicated yes. The install team arrived and removed and set the new refrigerator well, however, they started to leave without completing the installation of the water. They said they did not have hose to install.
We contacted Samsung and requested someone to return to complete the install. No water or ice for 8 days now. Having to go buy ice for scheduled gatherings. After two additional calls they indicate the best they can do is to schedule the remaining install 14 days out, a total of 22 days from initial install. This is very poor service, given this is at best 1.5 hour job to go get the hose and install it. Heading to the store now to get the part and complete this myself. Not a happy customer. I hope the refrigerator is a higher quality.

I bought Samsung hub in 2017, it’s going the 7th year and it stop working. We called the Samsung care support center and we were scheduled an appointment. Suppose one to two days but the technician showed up after seven days. The technician put the refrigerant with dye to find if the refrigerant is leaking or it is a faulty compressor and told us to observe if the temperature goes up. The technician was from home technology solutions.
The temperature was not keeping up so we contact home technology solutions and explain that the temperature is stays and the compressor is making a loud noise. They said that someone will call us but it’s been three days no one contacted. This the their promise of quick service. The other thing is about Samsung refrigerator is that since we bought it we had problems with frosting of the ice maker. Samsung attracts customers with cosmetic beauty but in fact it has problems with piping leaking refrigerant and faulty compressor. I will never buy Samsung appliances due to inferior technology for the money they cost.

Why is Samsung putting the filter, control panel and some other large component in the top section of the fridge, impairing efficient use of upper shelf and why do all the shelves have a gap large enough for a slim size drink to fall to the shelves below. The shelves in almost all fridges meet the back of the fridge with NO large gaps. Beware of Samsung looks good on the outside but not efficient for daily use.

I bought a Samsung french door fridge with in-door water pitcher in Nov. of 2020. By 2023 the icemaker stopped working. Not frozen over, just stopped working. I tried all troubleshooting recommendations to no avail. The icemaker in my fridge is either defective OR Samsung icemakers are not built to last more than a couple years. When I called Samsung support they offered to replace the part but I would have to pay for them to send someone to install. Samsung icemakers are notorious for not working/freezing over and they don't have better support than this? It is known the Samsung refrigerators have issues with their ice makers. They do not stand behind rectifying the same issue. I have had an issue with my Samsung refrigerator's ice maker on 4 separate occasions. They fixed it once, but it keeps breaking and they want the consumer to pay for both parts and labor for their faulty product. Their customer service is poor, stating the refrigerator is out of warranty but the issue is never rectified properly. They want the consumer to pay a $120 consultation + parts + labor. I spent a wasted 2 hours on the phone yesterday trying to get at least the PARTS covered which they had offer to do June 2024 and then stated they couldn't do it. I am beyond frustrated that a company would offer something and then not fulfill on their offer. Samsung's customer service is not consumer friendly and they don't stand behind their product. The fridge was under warranty but Samsung showed their unethical practices and did everything they could to get out of it. I fought them for 2 months before finally getting a full refund, but not before threatening to sue them for breach of contract. As for the stove, we are still waiting for parts, 2 months later. I was told I would be receiving a virtual gift/debit card. I contacted the rebate center and asked for a real/plastic card. They agreed to send one. Well 6 months later after 5x phone calls and 5x emails 10x assurances that my case was being escalated to a top priority status no gift card. Not only do I feel that I deserve my rebate today but also a substantial bonus. Samsung is playing the numbers game where they keep frustrating the consumers attempt to collect and by dragging out how long it takes until some people just give up and samsung pockets millions of promised rebate money. This is criminal and they should not get away with it.
