Discovered ice machine was not working properly on newly delivered refrigerator the first day in use. Contacted warranty division for repair and promised contact with 48 hrs. After 2 days without contact and again called warranty service. They reassigned repair ticket to another company. After another 4 days without contact I again called warranty division and was issued a new repair ticket number to yet another repair company. Was contacted by Samsung Tracking Service to check status of repair. Upon hearing that no contact had yet been made by repair company. Tracking Services said they would expedite repair order.
After another 7 days without any other repair contact I contacted retailer (Home Depot) for return/refund. After hearing my story, agent put me on hold while she contacted assigned repair company who informed her that they had no record of repair ticket. She reissued ticket (under same number) and promised a quick contact from them. Ironically, a few hours later I was again contacted by Tracking Service inquiring as to the status of my repair. In our discussion she informed me that her records showed that the repair company had indeed received the repair ticket in the initial transmission and offered to put my case into the Samsung Resolution Department for review. As they were Samsung and has hired the (non-responsive) repair companies in question, I asked her to contact them to expedite. She proceeded to inform me that she was unable to contact their repair company on my behalf.
I fail to understand what Samsung's definition of Customer Service could possibly be. They know there's a problem with your brand new Samsung Large Appliance. They know there are multiple failures (3) in their repair chain, they continue to ask you how is your repair going, but they refuse to actually "step-in" and take charge to resolve the problem. Instead, leaving their consumer to contend with the (obvious) dregs of the appliance repair world that they've chosen to repair their products. Guess with everything in the recent news regarding Samsung guess I should be happy that my refrigerator hasn't blown up yet. The LAST Samsung product that will ever enter my home. Buyer beware!

Just purchased less than one year ago. After 3 months the freezer frosts my things so badly I can't identify what is what. Then the ice maker stops making ice from time to time. I called and they sent out a service guy. He said it was normal. I accepted that but then it got worse. I called Samsung cust. service and sent them pictures. They said I would be able to get a replacement fridge. They gave me a reference number to give to Best Buy. I did that and Best Buy said the number did not work. Whatever that meant. Since then I have called every month for 5 months and they always give me a bogus number. Yesterday I called again and they said I would be getting a call from their executive customer service center within the hour with a correct number. I never heard from them. Samsung has lied and lied to me and given me the runaround. I will never buy a Samsung product again.

After 7 months of having a new Samsung refrigerator in black stainless the finish began chipping. When I called Samsung they said it was not covered under warranty. Agreed, but this should not be a conversation I had to have. They are not willing to stand by their product or their customers. They told me I could pay to have it repaired. Will never buy Samsung again!!!

We had purchased a Samsung fridge with bottom mount freezer. After the first year it started leaking water, there was no ice or water maker, the digital display started malfunctioning and huge ice build up in freezer bottom. Called about it, nobody would do anything for me. Emailed a few times and responded with an automatic response talking about my dishwasher, when I emailed about my fridge. Very disappointed with customer service, and the quality of their appliances.

We bought this fridge in 10/2008 when we remodeled our kitchen. The valve has been leaking a while according to the insurance adjuster who denied our claim because of the length of time it leaked and because the valve is defective we are now looking at having to replace valve, floor 2 cabinets and some subfloor. We bought this appliance knowing it would be great. We have many Samsung items and like the quality. But we are disappointed that this happened. We are struggling with life as it is my husband was diagnosed with Arachnoiditis in 2014 and had to go on disability. In June 2016 he had a brain stem stroke and I had to quit work to care for him 24/7. So coming up with the money to repair this while leaving off of disability will be rough. But I don't want my fridge to fall thru the floor. Help is needed, requested and prayed for.

We bought a Samsung RF26J7500SR 3 door refrig eleven months ago. WHAT A POS. The refrig compartment fan system keeps freezing up (repairman said it's an inherent design error! ), preventing it from staying cold. We threw out everything inside on Labor day as all the food spoiled waiting the 12 days for the repairman. Then I was told we had to reschedule since the refrig needed to be unplugged for 48 hours for all the internal ice covering the fan blades to melt. On the return visit days later parts were replaced and a factory anti-freezing kit installed.
Now, two months later, the fridge is full of Thanksgiving leftovers and it's warm inside again, seems like the same problem. Samsung customer service can only confirm it's broken, gave me the number of a local repair guy that will fix it under warranty. I assume the repairman will give me an appointment 12 days from when they call me back, which was how long it took for them to come to the house for the first repair!!! Looks like we will throw out everything again. What a joke. I will have to take another vacation day to wait for the repairman. Anyone who buys a Samsung refrigerator needs their head examined!!! I will never ever buy another Samsung appliance of any kind.

I bought a whole 4 piece Samsung kitchen appliance set which the oven element burnt out. Samsung didn't have any suggestions. I had it fixed. Samsung was no help. Now a few months later today being thanksgiving the fridge RS25J500D stopped cooling. Come to find out it lost all its refrigerant. I call them up. They dummy up again. Now I have to figure out if I'm going to get it repaired. I'm not rich. I paid $3800.00 for the 4 pieces. I would never ever in this lifetime recommend Samsung products or purchase them. They don't care and they don't back up their product. So that's my story. I hope they go out of business. I work hard for my money. I am so pissed off right now.

Got fridge delivered and moved it in two weeks later due to remodel. No ice. Called service center again and again and each time given instructions on resetting the thing. Nothing. Then finally got service ticket and supposed to get call. No call. Called Samsung back. Said allow 48 hours for the call. 72 hours - no call. Still waiting on call. Samsung confirms ticket number and contact information. Service people on the phone treat you like an idiot. One guaranteed me that changing the temperature on the ice maker would solve the problem. Another told me the wires on top of the door hinges were the problem. Reset the icemaker about ten times. Water in the door is fine. Another one said it was not getting water. There is only one water supply line. Another said maybe the unit is not level. What bull that was. Nothing works.

Purchased: August 2015. Samsung side by side with dual cooling, ice maker, high end. Best Buy is promoting these with a vengeance. Within two months of purchase, I called because compressor was making hard rattling noise. "Yeah, they do that," said the technician. Called a second time about 6 weeks later because noise did not improve, only got worse. "Yeah, they are loud aren't they," said the technician, "but it is cooling, right?" Fast forward to October, 2016. This refrigerator can be described as: 1) "Ready to launch", 2) "A Mack Truck idling in my kitchen", 3) "a flat head V-8 without oil" - Granted, these are hyperbole, but the point is, this is a refrigerator guys, not a power tool. Not only exceptionally loud but the thing runs constantly.
I know all new refrigerators are low watt, run a long time efficient just like my prior 18 year old Kenmore, but just about every morning after it has been sitting there with the door closed for 7 hours, it is cranking away, seemingly at its loudest. So I called Best Buy because I bought the 5 year warranty. No problem, we will send someone out right away. Guy shows up, "Yeah, terribly noisy, we'll put in for a new compressor." Wow, that is great! Then there was this huge mess up between the Best Buy/Geek Squad hand-off to the people that were going to actually do the work. Two weeks later, technician shows up 10 days late. "That's the noise they make nowadays, yep. If your refrigerator was behind a cabinet, you would not hear all that noise, besides, today's units run at a higher speed." What a bunch of silly excuses. The guy left saying, "It is what it is." I say, "Samsung has a problem. The noise is not to be tolerated."
At this point I am going to see if I can trade this thing out for something else. Noise=loss of energy. I would love to put an amp meter on this for a period of time and see what energy levels this thing is really consuming. After this review, I am going to upload a video of this rickety mess on YouTube, write a bunch of friend and see if it will go viral. Back in August of 2015, all I wanted was a refrigerator that does not dominate my space, it is that bad, it is very annoying, unnecessarily so. Other than that, it is a nice unit and everything else works just fine. In fact, sometimes, but not always, it does run quietly. It is capable of running quietly, they just have a problem with it being noisy most of the time.

We recently put an entire modern kitchen and addition on our home. At that point given we had for many years used Samsung we upgraded the white GE appliances to Samsung in our home as they were here when we bought it. We bought a new French door bottom drawer freezer fridge, pretty much top of the line at Home Depot. We bought the matching microwave model #ME21H705MQS/AC, and lastly also the matching stove with convection, steam cleaning. The fridge was delivered first and it would not shut off and was very loud to a point were it interrupted conversations. After following their processes and after the technician came and he agreed something was very wrong, we had to them go through their executive center who literally after 20 minutes told they would sent our request for this 4 day old fridge to their engineering department to see if we qualified to have to returned.
Home Depot were totally disconnected from this process. They told us they did not accept returns only repairs. We told them and Samsung should their technician who acknowledge this brand new fridge had significant issues and after the so-called executive center began by telling they would promptly resolve our issue. We told their executive center should their decision be to contradict their field technician and not replace and or return it we would seek legal counsel. They called later saying Samsung would return to Samsung. That process has taken 3 weeks since and the unit has been returned back and we await a refund. Think of the logistics involved in such a key appliance as a fridge and not just the food but having two in the house at the same time. We still do not have our refund.
Friday night my wife decided make popcorn for the first time as we are only at this home on weekends in our now month old over the range microwave. With seconds she was screaming as it was on fire with flames shooting out of the side panel on the right hand side. It filled our new kitchen with disgusting white thick terrible smelling smoke. We called Home Depot and again the nightmare starts all over with chasing out tails. In various conversations with service people they tells us there are silent recalls. We are not sure about that but in any case why are they shipping products that can cause fires?Google how often this happens!
I should have mentioned we have been asking to speak to a Samsung manager since this beginning with no feedback. Why should we keep the stove now??? Had we done our research this would not have happened. It is shame our home has been filled with Samsung products till this series of issues but never again!

The ice maker is a standard size and tends to produce ice adequately. HOWEVER, BE WARNED that Samsung ice makers are very poor quality. They tend to dispense crushed ice even when you don't want it. They definitely dispense broken bits of cubes constantly. I have contacted Samsung about this issue and their attitude is "well, that's just the way it is, too bad". It's a shame that a $3,000 refrigerator comes with such an inferior ice maker and even a bigger shame that Samsung thinks it's okay to sell you a fridge that spits ice in your floor every time you use it. Their customer service department said that if they send a technician out to look at it they will bill me because they don't consider this a defect. Huh?? Be informed before you buy a Samsung product.

I am not one to write product reviews but am so disappointed with my Samsung refrigerator. We bought our French Door Samsung refrigerator 2 years ago from Home Depot when we built our home. I loved it!!! Then about 3 months ago the refrigerator showed problems with cooling and the lowest temp we could maintain was 44 degrees and often cooled at 46. We had a Samsung certified tech come out and work on the refrigerator and he found coolant leaking. After a call to Samsung, Samsung told the tech the refrigerator could not be fixed. Now we are waiting Samsung's final decision as to what will be done. With Thanksgiving next week looks like I will be out buying a new refrigerator and it will NOT NOT NOT be a Samsung.

Samsung Refrigerator RF4287HA. I am so upset with my refrigerator. My husband and I had our LG refrigerator, which was purchased in 2010, replaced with the Samsung one after we noticed that the inside cabinet was cracking all across the unit. We reviewed the reviews at the time the Samsung fridge was considered... We found great reviews...however, our experience has been nothing but. Our ice maker sticks and has water dripping off of the back, causing it to freeze over, the left side freezer door keeps freezing over with water causing it not to stick to the unit upon closing. We have had the back freezer wall unit replaced, the freezer door rubber replaced, the ice maker parts replaced, and guess what? It is still experiencing the same issues.
I am at my wits end right now. I am currently on the phone with Samsung again...waiting for customer service... Guess I will be waiting for another hour for someone to come to the line. I am frustrated because a unit this expensive should not have this many problems this soon. I thought Samsung was a good product but I may have to reconsider this thought. Repairmen are aggravated and so is my husband. Why are these units freezing up? I just don't understand this!!!
Oh wait... I almost forgot... the snack drawer control panel had to be replaced right after I received the unit and the doors have not closed properly since about that same time as well. I called Samsung about this problem, and they said that it should close properly and that they could not tell me why it was not doing so. A repairman came out and said that screws were missing. Called them back to asked for the screws to be sent to me. They wanted to charge me and said shortly thereafter, that they could not tell me which screws were missing. I needed to tell them information so that they could find out from a third party manufacturer... and yes, I am still on hold for a representative to come on the line. I am beyond done with this company... first it was their phones, then their washers, now the refrigerators and after all this typing, they just hung up the phone on me... Go figure!

Unfortunate, I had a very bad experience with my Samsung refrigerator that I purchased in Best Buy, 5 months ago. The First 3 months it worked perfectly, but after that, it started to do a terrible noise. Is like you have a truck inside the house. I called for a service and they came. At First the guy said, that it was the condenser. Then, he started to move the refrigerator back and forward, adjust some nuts in the back and left. The noise was better for almost a week. But it came back. When I called, I had to stay in the phone about 30 minutes, and the guy who took my service request, and was ready to send me somebody, suddenly said that I have to send a video with the noise, because it is a NORMAL noise.
At the end, he didn't give me a service number and just sent me an email with the website address, meaning he won't take care of me. I will have to go online and do it! I am so upset. Last night I have to close my bedroom's door, so I can sleep. I cannot have a nice dinner in my kitchen or dining room because the NORMAL noise of my refrigerator.

Will never purchase another Samsung anything. Purchased 28 cu ft refrigerator year and half ago. Problems w/ the ice maker from the day I purchased. Same as other customers - ice maker noisy and would freeze up. You call Samsung and they walk you through everything you have already done and then refer you to another number that will get back to you. When they do they leave a message to call back to the original number. Called again and was told I'd be referred to an authorized repair dealer. Then notified 3 days later that there was none in my area. I did some searching and found one who stated they were. They came out the next day and found the problem (definitely Warranty) but fridge was over year old. I had been dealing with this problem since I purchased it and was told noise was normal.
Took about 39 min for technician to discover the ice maker was assembled incorrectly from the factory. He reassembled it and put it back in and the ice maker has been working well (it's terribly slow) for 4 days now. No knocking and loud noises. Interesting that he figured it out and Samsung didn't have a clue. Apparently they have been installed in the factory incorrectly. I'll gladly join a class action suit against them! Samsung doesn't seem to care about the consumer at all. Samsung Blue Ray DVD player just quit after approximately a year. Had been a gift from our daughter. I love the fridge when it works but am very worried reading other complaints. Ice maker was terrible until technician from Back Canyon City (small town north Phoenix) came to the rescue. Thank you Jeremy of Accredited Appliance.

Samsung RF32FMQDBSR fridge won't cool, freezer fine - Paid over 3K for good looking fridge. We had a $300 fridge for 16 years that kept our food and beverages cold without a single problem, so I did not think it possible for a refrigerator to not do the very things it exists to do. But Samsung cracked that nut. Ice maker immediately made ice dam at back of drawer and froze the ice bucket in place. 5+ service calls on a brand-new fridge, never got it working. Tech said we could keep trying but it was a design flaw. Used cardboard and duct tape to seal it off.
After almost 2 years fridge stopped cooling. Warm beer and spoiling milk and food. Temp on the door reads 34 degrees. Bought thermometer, steady 50 degrees. Tried all the fixes I could find online, no effect. Service call, cleaned compressor area. No effect. Read reviews: sounds like it's a problem with coolant leak of the R600 coolant (2 different kinds of coolant for the 2 fridge compressors) which isn't sold in the US and is highly flammable, and will leak out again even if I replace it with the other coolant called R134A. Finding and fixing the leak means tearing out the guts.
Fridge is so new and so expensive I'm tempted to try to fix it. But I reviewed many posts -- it would be good money after bad. Looking for a free fridge on Craigslist. Consumer Reports highly recommended this fridge when I bought it. But it is a complete POS. Don't buy a Samsung anything. Their fridges don't refrigerate and their phones explode.

Purchased a french door model in 13 that has worked great. Never missed a beat, no complaints. Based on this success bought another more expensive with cold door in Nov 15. Last week which is early Nov 16 the center drawer control panel failed to respond to input. Samsung did send an authorized tech out that diagnosed the issue and had to replace the entire drawer which is currently on order. That is a big fail to me. Replacing an entire drawer vs the panel is poor design and worse poor reliability. This refrigerator has hardly been used.
Had I known what the reliability was of this product I would have either purchased an extended warranty which you cannot do with Samsung after the purchase or purchased another brand. I am now stuck with the knowledge that if something fails it will be expensive to fix and no way to lessen the pain with an extended warranty. Buyer beware. If anyone is having similar problems could you please write about it here. I would like to get a list going so that as a group we may get something done to help all of us. I have the Samsung RS265TDRS side by side refrigerator which I purchased 8-11-10 from hhgregg. I purchased a 5 year warranty with it at the time. Since the purchase, within a week I started calling for service. They replaced the display, ice maker, main control board, evaporator fan twice while it was in warranty. Since the warranty ran out in the past year I have replaced the evaporator fan and have had to remove and defrost the coils in the refrigerator twice and open the drain in the pan on the freezer side. Right now I have the icemaker pulled out and the water turned off.
It kept putting water in the ice maker but wasn't dumping ice. Ice built up inside the freezer like a glacier. So I called Samsung Chat!! They claimed they are unaware of any of these issues on their website! DUH! Anyways they claim they have filed a report and will get back with me. We'll see! In my opinion I have a LEMON!! BAD Purchase!! No Backup!! They should stick with electronics! Do not recommend Samsung Refrigerators!

Besides telling everyone I know I have also filed a complaint with the Ohio State Attorney's Office. Probably will not do any good but I felt better for about an hour. I will never buy ANY Samsung product. Maybe next I will print flyers and put them out in every Samsung product I see. You've heard that saying "don't mess with a senior citizen".

We purchased a set of Samsung appliances three years ago. One year ago the computer board of the dishwasher broke. We had to replace the entire dishwasher - after only two years. At less than three years, the handle broke off the microwave. AND the refrigerator quit working. The fan and thermostat had to be replaced for a cost of over $350. This is all in less than three years! It is almost more than all the appliance repair we have had to have in the last 40 years.

At first the ice maker was the only problem. That happen about 6 months after we bought it. And the noise of the ice dropping (when it did finally drop, most of the time it was just stuck and tapping loudly) it sounded like a crash in the house. Next the repairman ordered a part that would fix it. It did not. When we called him back he said Samsung does not provide a repair manual and not many people have luck getting the ice maker to function properly. Then the whole control panel went out. I can not find a repair man to even come out to work on it. The food in the refrig. is freezing and the food in the freezer has so much frost on the food we can not eat it. I have read many complaints of the same issues. IS ANYONE INTERESTED IN STARTING A CLASS ACTION SUIT? I believe we have lots of people with these issues and the only solution is to replace the refrigerator. I CAN'T AFFORD TO WASTE THAT MUCH MONEY. HOW ABOUT YOU?

I purchased the 28cu ft french door on 7/18/14. I purchased the Samsung Protection Plan on 10/31/2014. I never had to use this extended service plan until 10/20/16 because the refrigerator failed to keep food frozen and the fridge part had gotten up to 60 degrees. I called the Samsung service line at 1-800-726-7864. I was questioned about how I was using the unit (was it level, did the door seals have dirt on them and all kind of stupid questions). I was given a service order **. I was told it could take up to 1-2 business days for a response.
That evening there was an email from the service team saying the service order was canceled because the unit was out of warranty. I called back that evening & told the person Kia that I did have extended warranty & was given another number to call. I called that number & the person answering the phone was livid because it should have been handled by Samsung. I spoke to Ashonte at Samsung, was given another service order **. Told to wait for another call or check status at fax.@sea.samsung.com. I did & they were charging $47 to get status on service order.
On 10/25 called Samsung, spoke to Latoya. She told me that service order was canceled on 10/21 due to no one at home. That was a lie because I checked my phone numbers and there was no call from anyone. She re-opened the ticket. "Expect contact within 24hrs." I called back to dispute the fact that no one was home and spoke to Ashonte. He told me that there was one company in Virginia that could look at the unit. It was Virginia Electronics, Ashland, Va. Never received a call from the service team or Virginia Electronics as of today 10/28/16. Went to Lowe's and bought another refrigerator yesterday and it was delivered today. I read multiple reviews on your website and found a pattern of failure on Samsung units for no apparent reason. What a ripoff. I am still seething about what had happened.

Paid for a Samsung Refrigerator. Picked it up from the retailing Store 3 months later. I was given a Pickup invoice on which the Retailer indicated the date of sale and the date of pickup. However, the unit developed some problems. I called Samsung (Manufacturer Warranty). They insisted that it was over one year I paid for the unit and as such was out of warranty. I went to the Retailer who gave me a letter and also wrote Samsung to clear the air on this issue. The letter clearly outlined the day I reserved the unit and the day I picked it up and asked Samsung to extend to me the warranty from the date I picked up the refrigerator.
Every time I contacted Samsung, the customer service agents claim they never received the letter from the Retailer. I had to send it to them again and again and again. I've done this over 6 times. They always claim they never received it and as such would not authorize a repair of my refrigerator. I am tired of all these and intend to look for a repair technician who will repair it. I will then go to Small Claims court to file a claim against Samsung for the repair and loss of use of my refrigerator including costs of damaged foods. I called the Customer Service once again for their mailing address to send them the court papers. The agent I spoke to refused giving it to me. Said I should email it. How can I email the original court papers? Even if I can, to an email address they never admit to receiving my emails at? Finally, I will quit patronizing SAMSUNG products!

When purchased my new kitchen for my wife 3 years ago, we were big fans of Samsung. The fridge was beautiful. We got it from Best Buy along with the Flex Duo range in SS to upgrade from our old black appliances (Kenmore, French door). We had warranties on everything and thought we'd be safe. Never expected to use it as much as we did. Two times in three years of ownership and then being disabled vets, I was tending to my wife in the hospital and missed the warranty expiration date by one day and Best Buy refused to restart it. Probably because of all the problems they were having with the fridge.
Now I'm left trying to keep this fridge going as best I can. Sadly the old Kenmore that has been running for all the time that I've had my new Samsung is still running problem free in my garage! Samsung should either step up their game or stick to televisions. You've never seen a Whirlpool or Kenmore phone. Do what you do and do it well! Samsung Model RFG297HDWP/XAA. The unit is a three door bottom freezer I purchased in November of 2013 from Sears. I had the ice maker repaired once and then replaced. It is Junk and a terrible flaw in design. In addition the Fridge has shut down at least Three times for no apparent reason. I came home one evening and opened the door to find the lights working but it seemed warm. I have two thermometers installed which showed the interior temp at 60 degrees. I opened the freezer drawer and that was also not cold. I hit the Digital display and it showed the set point at 36 and after a few seconds flashed the actual reading of 60 degrees - Freezer flashed a reading of 30 degrees.
I called Samsung tech support and did what they asked me to do. I unplugged it for over a minute. Plugged it back in. Nothing. I put it in power cool mode. Nothing. After around 30 minutes I heard the compressor kick in. Amazing. This has happened three times that I know of... I was gone for three months last summer. Who knows?? I had purchased the master Protection Agreement from Sears, Thank God.
A service Tech came out and just so he didn't think I was crazy. I took a video of the digital displayed temperature readings. He was here for more than two hours, ordered several boards and said to call when the boards arrived. They arrived and I called and a different Service Tech came out and tried to install the boards only to tell me they were the wrong parts and he didn't think the fridge needed both boards anyway. I told him That I would rather he change out both than take a chance and that maybe Sears should communicate with the first tech on this issue of what boards need to be replaced. I am not confident that this will solve the problem. It is a Manufacturing defect and Samsung should be held liable.
Updated on 10/31/2016: I just had the fridge repaired on October 19, 2016. The fridge would shut down randomly for no apparent reason. The Sears tech diagnosed and ordered two new circuit boards. Eleven days later the problem came back. This time it is tripping the circuit breaker when shutting down. The one thing that is different now is the motor or fan is constantly running for hours and hours before the shutdown and the tripped breaker. I called Samsung and they are of no help. When will they help us consumers who are stuck with lemons that have cost them over two thousand dollars.

As my husband and I upgraded into a larger family home, I wanted to leave our plain old, basic, boring kitchen appliances behind. Big mistake. We spent over $2,000 on a beautiful looking Samsung 4 door fridge only to be so disappointed. Just after a year of having it, the motherboard went. Because there are no service reps in our area we would have to pay for a service person to come an hour out of town to fix it. A local service person told us to not even bother - Samsung is apparently notorious for having their electronic components of their high end appliances break.
Now we've had 2 of our fridge shelves break. I ONLY GAVE IT ONE STAR BECAUSE I HAD TO!!! We bought our Samsung fridge model number RF263BEAESR/AA from Best Buy. We have had nothing but problems since the delivery. It consistently makes the loudest most annoying buzzing noise. We called the warranty department to have a tech, Young **, from NISI. The first order for repair was completed, by basically putting a bandaid on the hose to the condenser. This noise stopped for about an hour only to return worse. We set up for a second repair to be done. Same technician came out, took the back panel off and again put a bandaid to muffle the sound. Again the fridge made the buzzing noise, only this time it was so loud that you could hear it from our bedroom. This would be the third repair done in order to attempt to cover up a piece of ** product.
I then decided to call the customer service to speak to multiple service people all of which are foreign people, only to tell me that they need three ticket repairs, acknowledging this model has had multiple complaints for freezing up, to which the fan hits the frozen ice causing the buzzing sound. The only relief to stop the buzzing is to open and shut the door. This must be done on a repetitive basis all damn day. Who has time to open and close a fridge door to try and have some peace and quiet. The last time the technician came he said he would not create a ticket for this final repair because he wanted $80 for coming out in addition to parts. The former repairs were written up for condenser issues, and this visit he said he could not fix it due to no payment and because he did not know how to repair it.
This is poor, unacceptable customer service. We have recorded the noise along with images taken. The sound is so loud now it sounds like a damn jet plane. A supervisor at Samsung has said that we should be receiving a call to start a replacement or a refund, but due to high call volume have shut that department down for a week now. REALLY?! RIDICULOUS! Do not buy this product, nor take it if given to you for free. We will never purchase a Samsung product again and only hope that they stand by their word to refund our money. Apparently this is happening to almost every consumer who purchased this model. Get your ** together Samsung and take this off the market. When you spend this much for a product, it is under warranty, defective, you should recall it. BUYERS BEWARE!!

Where do I begin. We bought the fridge thinking it was a high quality product. We were WRONG!! Samsung is crap! We started having issues immediately after purchase. Don't buy Samsung. They have no respect for their customers and will not back their product. If you do, here's what will happen. You will begin to hear odd sounds coming from within. The back of your fridge will begin to freeze up immediately. You will begin a routine of blow drying your icemaker every week... and still not have ice. You will call for repairs under your warranty with a deductible of approx 100.00. You will believe they have made it right. It won't be, because the warranty won't allow the correct parts to be ordered (ask your repair guy about that). You will again have the same issues as before... food will go bad.
Have your blow dryer at the ready and your pocket book as well because now you're out of warranty time. You will pay about another 900.00 for repairs unless you agree to another warranty that will bring your cost down 50%. But then you will pay about 60.00 monthly for that warranty. You will wish you had purchased a new fridge and started over at this rate. Put your Samsung on the corner with a "free" sign on it. Or, take it back where you purchased it. They won't want it, but shouldn't they back the product they so avidly supported when they wanted to make that sale? They now tell us to buy Whirlpool. Can you say "Class Action"?

Washer is also now listed as defective due to safety hazard. Frequent phone calls to Samsung has resulted in no resolution to this issue. I am constantly being told I have to wait 24-48 hours to hear from different departments. Today, I was told I have to wait another 24-48 hours to hear from someone in Refunds and Exchanges via telephone. I asked to contact them directly but was told they have no phone number because they are a "back office department". I expressed my displeasure and asked for my call to be elevated past Executive Customer Relations and was told that's not possible, they are the highest level of customer service.
I then asked to speak to a supervisor and was told I would have to be put on an list and someone would contact me back in 24-48 hours. 2 days to speak to a supervisor? I was informed that if an exchange of the refrigerator is decided on, it would be another 15 days for delivery. This is totally unacceptable. Not only the frequent waiting for "24-48 hours" to be contacted by Samsung but I was denied the opportunity to speak to a higher level of customer service.
On the day I purchased these major appliances I spent $3000 total and now 2 out of the 3 appliances are defective. I am unhappy with the customer service I have received up to this point. They are not receptive to the issues. The time frame that Samsung is putting me on is unacceptable. It shouldn't take 48 hours to make a decision for a customer that has invested thousands of dollars in Samsung. In the meantime, I have a dead $3000 refrigerator in my kitchen with no resolution and nowhere to turn as far as customer service. This was my BBB complaint.
After filing a BBB complaint, I was contacted by a rep from the Office of President. She acknowledged my current problem with the refrigerator. She explained that she will now be handling my case and I can contact her directly. She explained she is still waiting to see the result of my issue from the refunds and exchange office and she will contact me the next day. The next day arrived and I had to call them to find out the results. I was told the request to exchange the fridge was kicked back (declined) because there are no service programs in the area. I am now stuck with a refund.
I expressed my concern for this due to the fact that I purchased the fridge on sale, and its listed on Samsungs website for $2999. I paid approx $1800 and will be losing the value of the fridge by receiving a refund. After back and forth explanations, she explained how I would be receiving a call from the refunds and exchange office... in another 24-48 hours. Today is October 6th. She said I would be receiving a call either tomorrow or Monday the 10th of October. The refunds and exchange office has already seen my case several times and even took action on it, why do they need another 48 hours to review it? So we head into the weekend once again with definitive solution.
When I hear from them on Monday, how many more phone calls will need to be waited for and how long till I actually see the refund? Once again I was told there is no higher level of CS, shes following procedures and protocols and there is no way she can expedite the call from refunds and exchanges. After expressing my overwhelming dissatisfaction with Samsung, its customer service and its "policies and procedures" I inquired how does Samsung go about getting the defective fridge from me. She informed that I am responsible for disposal of the fridge and will not be reimbursed for any money spent from doing so.
Once again, this is totally unacceptable customer service from a company of this magnitude. There is no difference between what a standard CS rep can accomplish and what rep from the Office of the President can accomplish. I still wish to pursue my complaint and speak to someone higher in this company. Customers should not be treated like this. I will no longer be doing business with Samsung and will advise friends and family of my experience as well.

We purchased a Samsung refrigerator in May of 2015. We had it 2 days and it wasn't cooling, so Best Buy brought out a new refrigerator. That worked for 2 weeks and then the freezer was not cooling. Everything melted and we lost the food. Samsung did repair it. Now the refrigerator is 2 months beyond a year of purchase and the icemaker has failed. We have had a tech here twice, he did not know how to repair it. Finally Samsung sent a tech of their own. Multiple design problems with the icemaker confirmed by the tech. We are going to have to pay for the motor in the icemaker. I don't know the cost yet as he is working on it now but he said it is not cheap. Samsung refuses to stand behind this piece of junk refrigerator. DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG!

Refrigerator started icing up in the back just after the first year was up. Got Samsung to pay for the parts but we had to pay for the service call. Now another year and a half later the same thing is happening and the service rep told us they have a fix for the first fix. We have to wait an entire week to get our refrigerator back to working order.
The parts need to be ordered and it has to thaw out to get the back panel off. Called Samsung again and this time the manager of the woman I talked to said they will not cover the parts because the warranty had run out. I have a Maytag refrigerator that we use for beverages that has run for 24 years with no problems and don't know what I would do without it. No more Samsung for us. The Samsung replaced a GE refrigerator we had for 24 years with no problems.

Dishwasher never worked right, leaked, ran for hours and OVERHEATED to where I thought it would set a fire. 3 repairs tried before it got ran 5 hrs straight and door was so hot had to use a potholder to turn off. Lowe's replaced for free after Samsung refused. It was 18 months old and dishes never dried right from day 1.
RAG 257 Refrigerator ice maker broke after 1yr, replaced by Lowe's under extended warranty. Worked for 3 more years, then useless. Doesn't make ice except sporadically for no reason now and then weeks apart. 9187 Microwave started to TURN ON SPONTANEOUSLY in middle of night by 5 yrs. would run empty saying it was cooking a potato. Literally thought I was crazy until I looked online and saw numerous other reports of same thing. VERY DANGEROUS and a fire hazard. Also got TOO HOT and overruled food. Door Latch broke at same time. Had to unplug it and then replaced with GE that works perfectly! Multiple complaints of all of the above can be found online, hundreds if not thousands, quality sucks! Will never buy another Samsung appliance again!

Has anyone been able to contact and resolve issues with their Samsung refrigerators? Has anyone taken legal action? I bought my refrigerator four years ago from Sears. As I sit here typing this comment, my fabulous product is sitting over there broken! This makes the third time that the temperature sensor has failed and have lost all of my food. The second time the sensor went out, no one keeps these parts on hand and it had to be ordered from the manufacturer overseas. This ONLY took seven weeks to get here. Thankfully, I have a home warranty policy and they have repaired it.
Well, my luck has run out. The repairman who came out yesterday told the warranty company that the sensor failed causing other parts failures. Now the warranty company is telling me that my policy won't cover this because if a warrantied part causes other equipment failures, the company won't cover them. This means $338, plus the $60 service call, out of MY pocket. The first two repairmen told me that Samsung appliances are ABSOLUTE JUNK!!!! Has anyone been able to get any action from Samsung or has anyone taken any legal action? I'm in!!!

We purchased the RF32FMQDBSR/AA 4 door flex zone fridge, from Conn's furnishings, in April 2014. We didn't even get 6 months of use from it by the time the ice maker quit working. I called Samsung support, if you want to call it that. They had me go through steps to defrost it and reset the ice maker. It worked for a few weeks, then did the same thing again. I tried to get them to send out a service tech to see if there was an actual problem, while the fridge was under warranty. They would not do it. They said it just needed to be maintained by us. I got tired of the run around from Samsung, so I left it at that. We can live without an ice maker, because by the time Samsung actually wanted to do something about it, our warranty had expired. Imagine that!!!
Now, our new problem. A few weeks ago, we noticed milk and food spoiling in the fridge. We thought it had just expired or something, but it had not. The fridge was not cooling past 60 degrees. The front panel said it was 35 degrees, but when I reset the panel it showed the actual temp of 63. No wonder food is spoiling. I called a service tech myself, because I thought our warranty was out. They listened to the symptoms and didn't even send someone out. They told me to contact Samsung, as it was a problem with the sealed system, and it is still under the 5 year warranty.
So, I called Samsung. After 3 different phone calls and 3 different ticket numbers, they sent out their contracted service techs. The tech concluded, after a couple of hours of work, that the problem was in the sealed system. I asked him if it can be fixed, and he said he didn't know of anybody that can fix it, due to the flammable refrigerant they used in these systems. Now, I'm waiting on Samsung to get their head out of their collective **, and do something about this, as we've been without a fridge for going on 4 weeks now. I will never buy another Samsung product as long as I live.

My French door refrigerator started forming ice about 18 months after purchase. Warranty is only a year, which is ridiculous when you pay that much for a appliance. I checked online for anyone else experiencing the problem. Most problems were with water under the crisper drawers which I hadn't experienced. I called Samsung and the first words the service desk said were, "We haven't experienced that problem before," which I knew was bogus because every person that called them said they said the same thing. Anyway after over 2 years of emptying my freezer and getting the ice out, I finally bit the bullet and called a repairman. I wish I'd done it right away.
He took the bottom panel off the back, took out the two drain pipes for the automatic defrost, about 7"each with a rubber, flat nipple on each one. He shows me the small slit across the end of the nipple that the water drains thru and explains that if that slit gets clogged the water backs up and freezes in the bottom. It also could cause water to be leaked under the drawers in the cooling part of fridge. All he did was cut about -1/8" off of the flat ends and put them back on the pipes and reinstall them. They must just slide on because he didn't have any tools but the screwdriver to remove the panel and a snipper to cut the rubber nipple. You can use scissors for that. I could have done this myself had I known what to do. That's why I'm writing this.
Also he said to be sure to turn fridge off for 48 hours to make sure all the ice has defrosted. That's a pain, but we've been removing the ice for 2 years every 3-4 weeks. If this works, it's worth the 48 hours without a fridge. If this works, you won't hear from me, if not, I'll let you know. It was a $79 service call. It's a bad design and hopefully Samsung has changed it. My fridge is almost 4 years old. I love everything else about it.

If you are thinking about buying a Samsung refrigerator "don't". This is the worse product ever and I regret buying it. I purchased the product in 2013 from Lowe's, they were having a sale so I purchased the refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher. I have not had any problems with the stove but the dishwasher and refrigerator is a whole new ball game. First, there are the filters (which are not cheap) you have to buy every six months to a year for the refrigerator depending on how much you use the water dispenser. Secondly, the ice maker just one day stop making ice and this has been going on for about a year as I refuse to pay almost $500 to a repairman, that the Samsung customer service (who was rude) recommended, for a new ice maker for a refrigerator that I haven't had for that long. I can purchase another refrigerator for that price (I mean it's only been 3 years. My GE appliances lasted 10 years before I had problems with them).
We even had a local repairman come out to take a look at it and he wouldn't touch it because he said that "they are too difficult to work on" and he also said that he has had several calls about Samsung refrigerators for one thing or another and that only a trained Samsung repair person would be able to fix it but they want too much money. And then there is the dishwasher that seem to always feel wet on the inside even when not in use and it has a smell that I can't describe. I am so disappointed in this product. The biggest regret of my life. So I am warning you Samsung may be good in the cell phone business but their appliances SUCK!!!! I should have just stuck with GE.

The icemaker starting leaking water, the fridge is 18 months old and I know it is out of warranty so I called a repairman (a trusted friend). He came to the house and said "oh yeah I service Samsungs for this issue all the time, at least 5 or so a week". The icemaker and the auger unit needed to be replaced, $755, WHAT almost half the price I paid for the fridge itself. I looked online and the parts are over $400 at the cheapest place.
I called Samsung and they said it is out of warranty and would not do anything to make me happy. I would call this a defect if the component is failing in less than 2 years, which according to my buddy he sees all of the time but what does Samsung care they are making a killing on repair parts on fridges that are less than 2 years old. I will never buy another product from this company and I suggest you don't either, complete junk.

DO NOT BUY Samsung French Door fridges! I have almost $3000 invested in a fridge that gave little, annoying problems at first, but as soon as the VERY SHORT warranty was up, the ice maker problems got worse and worse... Dripping water out of the ice maker flapper door, slushy ice cubes, ice dams in the ice maker itself, taking 1 minute or so to drop out 3-5 ice cubes, odd noises, not making ice at all... You name it.
I tried to get a repairman, but no one returned my calls--then I discovered from several local sellers of the Samsung French door fridges, that there are so many problems with them, that repairmen don't want to repair them at all--knowing they will never solve their clients' problems. The repairmen might take the call IF the unit is still on warranty, simply because they know they'll get more and more repair calls--all paid by Samsung. Once the warranty is gone, they don't want to deal with Samsung units.
Consider this: I have a new millennium fridge and I make ice the way my Mom did in the 1950s--with ice cube trays! I think these units should be recalled--these are major expenses for a family--just like buying a car that is unsafe or poorly designed--or is an outright Lemon. Samsung's reply to me was a boilerplate letter with links pasted in to their WELL KNOWN repair bulletins... Each one I had already known about and tried! Then they linked to how to get a repair ticket started, but then repeated their warranty rules. Samsung customer satisfaction? Rate that at ZERO. If you know anyone considering one of these Samsung units, steer them away--- SHARE this post. PLEASE SHARE!

We had the extended warranty and they told us it's not their problem. We have to work through Samsung so we have called and on 5 different occasions received inaccurate information and the tech line of Samsung the repairman came out and thought we had a used refrigerator or malware refrigerator from the assembly factory as the cables were not connected and the coil for making ice was defective. He replaced it nicely. That piece of coil lasted one day and again we called the tech line and the repairman came replacement of something else and reset the refrigerator and when we came back from our 14 day vacation it stunk in the house and lo and below - all the food in the freezer spoiled. Over 250.00 of meat.
We called them up and they said to call hhgreg and we did that and hhgreg said they have nothing to do with the Samsung as Samsung is the product and this is their problem. Now this is getting old. Since June we have been getting replacement parts and no wear as the freezer still is not working and either is the temperatures in the refrigerator and no one is taking responsibility in replacement. They said Samsung that is, that hhgregg will be calling you and replacing a refrigerator. No no not a call received.
We have called and wrote everyone name down the phone and email and faxes that they told us to go through for Samsung and guess what? Nothing is done. Now all we want is our money back, plus the food lost, and we will not buy a Samsung product ever. Example - look at the Samsung phones are blowing up. We have done everything Samsung told us to do and as of 9/16/16 we are no further ahead.
CIVIL suit - contact news and will expose both retailer hhgregg and Samsung for running false advertising and product reliability and the other thing is hhgregg in Appleton and Green Bay is going out of business. Everyone got our money but we end up being the loser. Where is the justice in customer service? Where is the responsibility for a product accountability? The refrigerator is not even a yr old rf260beaesr and I have a 5yr psp bf refrigerator warranty which I was charged 349.99. Plus the refrigerator of 1600.00. Where does this sit with me? FZ coils frozen up, defrost freezer. Heaters did not work. Def defrost control replaced, installed new main board and evaporator fa defrost sensor ordered. Need sensor, connected sensor e21 evap fan reconnect on 7-1 16.
Next visit 7-18-16 reg def holder defrost thermostat no voltage to heater from board evap fan not running. 8/26 repairman another sensor ordered power freeze and another visit from technical difficulties. No one knows what the hell they are doing in Samsung and they don't care period. They think they can run a person ragged down so that the customer will quit & they don't have to deal with getting us our money back. They don't even know who their CEO. We asked - how much does this tell you they care or know about the Samsung equipment service? So, how do we get our money back so we can buy a refrigerator other than a Samsung? Maybe Electrolux or Maytag. Going locally I can at least get service and honesty and a replacement instead of the run about from retail stores like hhgregg who is going out of business 9/30/16 and Samsung who won't replace or give your moneys back from the purchase.
Does anyone hear me out there? We faxed everything to 973 529 0543, tried 3 times would not accept faxes. Obtained a new fax # to 864 751 2882 on 9/17/16. We are calling hhgregg daily and Samsung daily to get a refrigerator. We are the customer and deserve better care than what we have gotten which was passing the buck blaming the other guy. Get some balls Samsung and take care of the customer - stand behind your name. As for hhgregg going bankrupt out of business says it all. They probably took the money and ran. Almost sounds like this with Samsung is trying to do as well.
Just replace the ref or give the customer their money back. We were the trusting people in your name and now we have no trust in that name and you Samsung did not stand behind and take responsibility. Shame on you Samsung. Someday you'll be a customer to someone else and let's see how that goes. You all will be exposed for what you are eventually.

It became a weekly process to remove the cold storage tray and remove an inch of ice and water from the bottom of the refrigerator. It then became necessary to remove the water twice a week to prevent water from spilling out of the refrigerator all over the floor. Several members of my family started getting sick with what we thought was the stomach bug.
We noticed that the refrigerator did not seem to be very cold although the temperature stated it was 34 degree until one night the temperature reading said 58 degrees! I called a repairman who told me the panel in the back was probably frozen and we would need to unplug the unit and wait at least 24 hours for the back panel to defrost. I didn't know the problems that were coming with it or I WOULD HAVE NEVER BOUGHT IT. I've replaced the ice cube drawer because it cracked. Ice jams behind it constantly even though I read and follow ALL instructions. Water leaks out the front and stains it up and leaves a puddle on my floor. It makes a whining noise like a puppy for the first year. The motor is loud when it kicks on. I stopped running to the window to see who pulled in the drive (no joke).
It was not easy to get a tech to my house. When it was delivered two very small guys had to struggle with it. If it wasn't so hard to get through the door I'd get rid of it. The delivery guys pinched the cord in the door. The manual said not to use it if that happens - It could cause a fire. The tech came and said it was fine- Charged over $200 for that visit. It sickens me think of the $2000+ I paid for it. After setup I had to run several gallons of water through the door by the glass full to build the pressure up to normal. I never had to do that with the last one - had pressure after the first glass.

The front door water dispenser always drips down the front of the refrigerator requiring constant cleaning and absolutely nothing cleans this poor quality of stainless. I have tried everything!
The bottom freezer is not working at all and will not reset. The top freezer has to be defrosted monthly with a hairdryer and reset, to get any ice. Even after those bizarre behaviors, the ice is always wet, very slow to make and drop and always mixes at least 5 or so tablespoons of water in with the ice (and again drips down the front of the refrigerator). I actually bought two of the same refrigerators for two different homes and absolutely think both are just junk. What a joke... As I thought I was buying a higher end appliance!
Just another comment, on the Samsung microwave I bought at the same time... Junk. I had to fixed the cracked plastic on the door hinge myself with a You Tube video and rubber band, just so the door would close so the appliance would work... On 8/29/16 we purchased the 25 cu ft French Door with External Water & Ice Dispenser, Model Number: RF263BEAESG/AA Refrigerator in the Black Stainless finish. Delivered 9/3/16. We purchased this high end very pricey fridge, a high end matching gas range and dishwasher so we spent a pretty decent amount of money. The set was ordered from a local appliance store and was NOT a scratch & dent product. While from a distance the fridge looks fantastic, don't look too close. Under the factory packaging (plastic protective packaging & cardboard was not damaged at all) there were numerous scratches and a small dent in the upper left door. I would expect a new expensive appliance such as this would not arrive in this condition. The appliance store is closing and unable to order a new refrigerator or even just a new door. I don't need an entire new fridge, just an undamaged door.
Samsung feels it is our problem and refused to do anything about it. While waiting on hold the recorded message spoke of their commitment to customer service. Well we didn't get that, in fact just the opposite. Interesting is that we really like Samsung and have always promoted their products. This is the first issue we've had and they failed us. I would not recommend this product due to how fragile it seems to be and Samsung will not make it right. I have a beautiful new kitchen with very nice high end Samsung appliances, except for the scratched and dented fridge. Is this really what I waited for all these years? Extremely disappointed. How hard would it be to replace my door? Any other appliance store would have sent it back to Samsung and requested a replacement from Samsung. Why can't Samsung just do that for me?Thanks alot Samsung. Also, I submitted this same review on Samsung's site and guess what? They won't post it.

Bought a Samsung Refrigerator in Feb 2015. In May of 2016 the Fridge part stopped cooling and I lost everything in the top. Called Repair as the Fridge is not under warranty. The service man made 5 trips out and 2 parts and now it is Sept 7 2016 and it is making a noise so long had to unplug it. It was frozen up again in the fridge part and was not cooling up to 62 degrees even though there is ice frozen to coils. Service could not even get panel off until it thawed for 24 hours or more. I still do not have a refrigerator working. The freezer still works fine like others have said. I am getting the run around and given a ticket number and no service guy will come out (they said they can not get answers from tech support) and there is no wiring diagram as other appliances have. The fridge shortly after installed developed water stain in the screen of water dispenser, however since we were 1 day past the original purchase date the warranty was up and Samsung would not help us, and also said a water stain would be considered cosmetic, however now we smelled something burning and now you can see burn area around water spot in water dispenser screen. I usually have to do this about every month. Then, I usually have difficulty getting the ice bucket aligned so I can reinsert it. The owner's manual says if it doesn't line up to turn the helix on the back of the bucket 90 degrees and try again. I've tried repeatedly (and not just 90 degree turns) and haven't had any luck. I basically threw away $6,000.00. I was dumb enough to purchase Samsung without doing my homework, but I'm not dumb enough to fix a pathetic product that won't last. No good money after bad here!!! So, I have given up on Samsung and going back to good old Whirlpool where I should have stayed in the first place. My problems were the same as everyone else's. We thought we were buying a top-of-the-line refrigerator when we bought our Samsung fridge 2 years ago. Model RF263BEAEBC. French doors, bottom freezer, ice and water dispenser in the door. From the beginning, the ice/water dispenser was a problem. It leaked and water ran down the left front and over to the left side of the unit, puddling in the floor. If I selected ice cubes, I got ice cubes and crushed ice, with a bit of water thrown in for good measure. Since day 1 it has never worked as it should. We have tolerated it all this time because everything else was fine. Now, we have no ice and have discovered there is (we're thinking) no water getting to the ice maker in spite of the cutoff valve being wide open and undisturbed since installation. I have recently noticed water gathering in one of the fridge drawers. I am SO disgusted with this fridge!!! I cannot and will not recommend this brand to anyone!

And YES! You heard that right: We have had to replace the ice maker on three different occasions; the first-of-four came with the product intact. (Yeha right?) We purchased our Samsung French door refrigerator (Model #RF263BEAESR) in March of 2013. What a piece of junk and to add insult to injury... poor customer service from Samsung. The unit does not defrost properly on its own. We have been experiencing ice build up behind the back interior panel of the fridge compartment. The ice builds up to such an amount that the fan blades can be heard scraping the ice build up, which is an unpleasant sound along with the motor groaning at times. In addition, we have been dealing with water leaking from the back panel onto the shelves and inside the bins.
Contacted Samsung and they arranged for the only authorized service repair company in our area (40 miles away) to contact me. Set up an appointment with them. On the afternoon of the appointment (while I'm sitting at home waiting for them during the time block they arranged) they call to cancel. Then when I try to reschedule they keep offering only morning times which I told them I could not do. I got so frustrated with the whole ordeal I simply told them to forget it. Then when I email Samsung with my frustrations they reply with bunch of B.S. that did nothing to correct the problem or stand behind their product. Now after only being 3 years old, I am replacing this giant piece of crap with a new refrigerator because I am so disgusted with Samsung.
Go to YouTube and you will see how to videos on how to attempt to fix Samsung refrigerators with the exact same issues we are having. And there are countless horror stories on ConsumerAffairs.com of people having the same issues with their Samsung fridges. Not to mention in 2010 there was a class action lawsuit against Samsung for the exact same issues with some of their fridges. But yet Samsung has the audacity to tell me they are not aware of any such issues with their refrigerators. Funny how the appliance place we purchased our replacement fridge from no longer carries Samsung. Do yourself a favor, steer clear of Samsung for appliances... Period. They are a piece of junk and the company is horrible to deal with.

Then I tried unplugged and re-plugged the power, and waited another 24 hours, I still can't feel any cold air from the fridge and freezer. I am for sure it's stopped work just after two years.
I then called Samsung support 1-800 phone number and got answered with 10 minutes, unexpected really short wait time. The girl said that she needs to transfer to technical support number. Well after 30 minutes of waiting I got hung up. I re-called the 1-800 phone number again, it happens the same. I tried to re-called the 1-800 from my cell phone and got the same hung up. I would never purchase or recommend a Samsung appliance again after our experience with our Samsung refrigerator that we purchased in Fall 2013. After owning the refrigerator for ~9 months, I began to notice water accumulating under the deli drawer. I thought it might just be normal and cleaned it up every month or so. Around 15 months after purchase, I noticed the water accumulating more often and to a greater degree. Water would spill out of the fridge when we opened the doors (sometimes sheets of ice). I called Samsung and the refrigerator was not under warranty any longer.
Over a period of the next 9 months, Samsung sent out 3 different repair companies. None of the companies could fix the problem. Water and ice continued to accumulate, spilling all over the floor whenever the fridge was opened. Large amounts of mildew grew due to the moisture. The fridge had to be shop-vacuumed monthly to clean out all of the water. After Samsung telling us that there was nothing else that they could do, we finally purchased a new refrigerator from a different manufacturer. We moved the fridge to our garage and it is now going to have to be hauled away due to the continual growth of mildew due to the water accumulation problem. We are so frustrated that we spent $2000+ on this refrigerator and it cannot even be used in our garage!

Samsung Refrigerator RF32FMQDBSR problems - After a year I noticed the ice maker bin getting harder and harder to remove and finally it froze up so solid it took 4 hours to thaw and remove the ice bin. It did this again within a month. After some researching I find this is a problem others are having also. Since that second thaw I have been removing ice build up under the ice bin weekly to keep it from freezing up again but it's getting worse. It does this whether the ice maker is on or off. After watching this appliance for the last couple of months, I have concluded the drain line for the ice maker defrost has frozen up stopping the drain path of the ice maker defrost melt, which now overflows to under the ice bin and refreezes. This is an obvious bad design with no clear fix in sight. If I were to clear this drain line (don't know how) it will do it again in a year from buildup of ice. The other issue is that ice maker cannot dispense cubed ice, again poor design.

I bought a Samsung Refrigerator about less than a year ago from HHGREGG. About a month ago, the refrigerator became faulty. There was no cooling in the fridge, however the freezer was working fine. The milk and other perishable items were getting spoiled in the fridge. Immediately I contacted Samsung technical support, they made me reduce the fridge temperature, but that did not help in any way. Finally a ticket was generated and it was given to 'Dependable Services' (Samsung contracts with third party to provide repair and maintenance service) to fix the issue. This is where my nightmare started.
After great difficulty I was able to get hold of some customer service person in 'Dependable Service'. Finally they gave me a service technician visit date that was about a week away. On the said date, they called me and said the spare parts did not arrive, so the visit was pushed to next week. After a week of finally waiting, again I got a call from the customer service team saying one of the spare parts was there and other was in someone else's truck. Then they postponed the visit for another week. Now again they called me and left a voice mail (I was not reachable). Immediately I called back when I saw the voice mail in the evening. I was told the ticket was cancelled due to no response (they call a single call no reply from customer is a no response for them). I had to call Samsung and had to get another ticket.
After all this hassle, finally the technician arrived at home after more than 3 weeks of complaints, back and forth calling. The technician comes home and says he did not have spare parts (the cooling fan had to be replaced) to fix the fridge. I was shocked. They had postponed the repair for more than 3 weeks giving one reason or another saying they were getting parts from Samsung to repair, and here comes the technician without the parts. The whole thing has been a nightmare. I had to call Samsung customer service many times, and they ask me to talk to dependable service. They are giving me a run around. I also saw water dripping from the twin cooling back panel as well as coming out from the base of the door. As figured I was over my one year warranty and Samsung needed to charge me to look at the problem.
Samsung did try to blame it on a filter issue and then a humidity issue, which is neither the problem. Samsung left me with no resolution and stated a technician needed to be called in to determine the exact issue. I was not given a price because that couldn't be determined until a ticket was created. As she told me I received a call from the service tech to schedule the appointment. However the service tech was from Oklahoma and I'm in Pennsylvania. The tech was sorry for the misunderstanding, it wasn't his fault. I contacted Samsung again and I explain to the male representative the issue with the address and I gave him my reference number. The gentlemen proceed to tell me that my refrigerator didn't have warranty. Wait what happens in 3 days? I explained that it when I spoke with the lady that gave me the reference number my refrigerator had warranty. Well I'm not one to argue with customer service representative since they are provided a script on what to said. I told him "Just give me the tech number please." He did gave me a service representative from Reading PA.
I called them to schedule an appointment and when I gave the lady who answer the phone the reference number. She proceed to tell me I needed to provide for them the receipt of purchased, that the visit was going to be $70 plus labor and parts. I again, didn't want to argue another customer service representative. I make the schedule, however after thinking about it I cancel it. Who knows what they are going to charge me. What happen to the warranty? This refrigerator is Top Samsung Product with a cost of almost 4,000 dollars. If I'm going to paid I'm choosing who I let in my house.
I have Samsung products all over my house since I believed to stick with one company, washer, dryer, phone, microwave on and on and on. I have never contacted Samsung for service. The first time that I need service They give me a hard time, that's not good customer service. Since I'm selling my house and moving out of state soon, instead of paying a repair person I will sell ALL my Samsung electronic and start new with another company. Before you spend that much money on a Samsung product make sure they are not going to give you the runaround.

At about 16 months inverter board blows. Catastrophic failure. Samsung customer service essentially tells me to go pound sand. Factory authorized repair diagnoses it as compressor, replaces compressor w/ new. System still inoperable. Finally local repair guy replaces inverter board and unit finally starts. Customer service is rude and surly and essentially tells you to go screw, with a 18 month old $2700 refrigerator. NEVER buy this product for both quality issues and customer service.

Samsung Refrigerator - Model # RF263BEAESP/AA. Purchased this new (4) years ago. Within the first year, the ice maker stopped working and the warranty covered it. Year and a half later, the replacement ice maker stopped working again (ice builds up & prevents the ice maker from making ice). Ok - I don't need ice that much. We learned the hard way that we couldn't count on this fridge to keep the meats/dairy cool enough to not spoil - so we depend on our (20+) year old non-Samsung fridge in the garage. We've lost plenty of food in the Samsung fridge because it was not cool enough - in spite of it being set to the coldest setting.
Now, just a week ago - the fan in the fridge compartment is making a loud buzzing noise - why, because ice is building up there too and hitting the fan blades. I've run the manual defrost mode several times - but it only works for a few hours before the ice comes back and the noise starts again. When we bought our home, we did our homework on each appliance. At the time, Samsung got very good reviews, so we wound up buying (4) Samsung appliances - washer, dryer, oven, and Fridge. Only the dryer hasn't needed to be repaired. I will never buy ANY Samsung appliance or product again!

The freezer door wouldn't close correctly. We called Sears Repair since Samsung gave us the run around. Sears came 4 times. We paid for new gaskets, new hinges, new ice maker, new mother board. Ice maker doesn't work nor has it since the guy left after putting it in. Water flows into the crisper drawer & floods our kitchen every so many days. UNREAL for a $2000 cost put extended warranty! This refrigerator (Model RF263Teasesr) is 2 years old and nothing but problems. Water continually drips down door. Now 2 years old and the internal temperature is 55 - 60 degrees yet the control panel on the front says it is 38 degrees leading to food spoiling. Frost continually builds up in the twin cooling portion and within the icemaker. Nice looking fridge that cost $1600 and does not work. Never, never buy a Samsung fridge. Their help line is staffed by people who try to be polite but are of absolutely no help.
To make matters worse, their warranty which supposedly covers "defects in materials and workmanship" one year and five years is irrelevant. The only way to determine on the extreme off chance something is covered is if a Samsung approved repair person services it. The closest repair person is over 120 miles away - so guess how much that repair bill will be that is not covered by Samsung. I will say it again, NEVER EVER buy these appliances. We bought this fridge in 2014 with an extended warranty. The first year the ice maker broke and someone was out immediately to replace. Shortly after the 1st year, now into the "extended warranty" with Lowe's, the fridge maintains 44-58 degrees. We constantly have to push the power cool button to force it to cool down. I have thrown out deli meats, cheese, dairy products, etc and I am on my 6th service call. The first call, he cleaned the condenser (back of fridge). 2nd call, done nothing, said he couldn't fix it. 3rd call Sears was sent out, he replaced the thermostat, next day called again. 4th call SoCalTech came and ordered a evap cooler assy, came back 5th call and replaced it. Next day still not cooling.
6th call showed up and said no refrigerant so he filled it with that and ordered condenser fan, condenser, etc. Today still not cooling down. This morning at 58 degrees. Have to wait for Lowe's to decide to approve all these parts or maybe offer a replacement. I see over 2000 complaints on this product and at a loss as to why there has not been recalls or lawsuit for producing such a crappy product. I bought a Maytag in 2000 and it sits out on our patio at 120 degrees and is ice cold. All of our dairy, meats, etc are in that fridge. I don't want to purchase another fridge, just paid this one off but it is not looking good based on all these reviews. I won't be buying any more Samsung products either.

Less than a year freezer goes, read the reviews they said it was an issue. Bought it anyway since Consumer Reports rated it well. 3 calls to get service and the last call came with the threat of a bill if they decided the fridge was not level or it was a bad filter, mind you a Samsung filter, the second one. Call 1 - reset freezer and call us back, 20 minutes of my life gone. Call 2 - "oh yeah you also need to take the water filter out and wait a day." Got about 10 cubes in 3 days. Call 3 starts with reset freezer, I said done it 3 times already, 15 seconds. "Did you run the water when you put the new filter in?" "Yes." "Is the fridge level?" "Yep looks level." "Well if it's not, that's a problem."
I have had enough--fridge sucks, customer service sucks--that I am sure is right from a corporate book on how to get rid of service calls. Anyway in the middle of the service they finally agree to set up. They threaten a service fee if they determine it's not level enough--or maybe the filter is not right, Samsung filter...or there is an air bubble. Meanwhile 100 degrees and we're buying ice. They did suggest I remove the filter so we could maybe get some ice...huh? I paid for filter and ice cubes. Thank you. They need to stick to TVs.

I purchased my side by side fridge, model #RH25H5611SR/AA in October 2016. Mid July I noticed my fridge temp blinking. Got the manual to reset and it stated that because the temp has been changed it would take a moment for the blinking to stop. So, left it alone and when I awoke no more blinking. Two days later, July 18, 2016 the refrigerator temp is blinking again. This time I make a call to Samsung but now the now is set and no longer blinking; two days later after this it starts to blink again and I make a call to Samsung again on July 20, 2016. I'm told to unplug or disconnect the power from the unit; I do this but when plugged in 2-3 minutes later the blinking has stopped but now my temp for the refrigerator is reading 61 degrees Fahrenheit. I give this info to the customer service rep who tells me that this is okay and that the temp will drop and to use the fast cool function.
Now I got my first service call number on the 18th and at that time provided all the necessary information to the representative. On the 20th I asked if a new service call number would be given and was told that it wasn't necessary, the first service number was still valid. Anyway, the following morning the refrigerator is still reading 61 degrees. I call Samsung customer service on July 21, 2016, give this customer service rep the whole story from beginning to end only to be asked for the serial & model numbers. This info should have been in my file as it was given on July 18th. Anyway, once this info is provided again this individual wants to send me through all the troubleshooting steps I have already taken. When I explain that these things have already been completed with no resolution he wants to tell me that I will be responsible for charges if a technician is sent out.
To say the least I explain once again to this individual that the troubleshooting has already taken place and it didn't work and I need a technician. He complies but now it will take 24-48 hours before I will be contacted. Was contacted by the service tech on Sunday evening that I had to be available between the hours of 12pm to 3pm. I get a call that the tech is running late and will arrive after 3pm. He arrives & checks out the unit. He turns to me and states that I need a new compressor. He goes on to say that this is a regular problem with this particular unit. The part has to be ordered and will take approximately 3-5 days for delivery and then they will contact me for repairs.
My question is has anyone else had this problem? Is there a recall? Again, the technician stated that this is a common problem. I purchased my appliances at hhgregg and got the whole suite to include dishwasher, range & microwave. Was told that this was the top of the line appliance package. I also have Samsung washer & dryer (Home Depot). Did a little research prior to purchase but mostly price comparison but I apparently missed this site. Had I read all these reviews prior I would not have purchased all these Samsung appliances. Praying that my products don't fail but will definitely obtain some type of extended warranty to protect myself. It won't be Samsung.

I bought Samsung model RF30HBEDBSR 2 years ago. The French door, fridge on top, and freezer double drawer on the bottom with a "bonus" drawer between that can vary the temp/use. On the one yr anniversary the ice maker made mushy, crushed-only ice. Samsung "customer service" sent me the door part free and scheduled a repair guy of their choosing. NOOO. Over twice the going rate. I hired someone else.
Six months later the ice maker itself (cleverly placed IN THE REFRIGERATOR) froze over. I defrosted it with my blow dryer occasionally for the next 6 months. I tried to hire someone to evaluate/fix it and was told by the first 6 that they either don't fix Samsung fridges or never the ice maker. Huh? Finally someone let me in on a poorly kept secret (except by Samsung who believe they walk on water), their ice makers are overly complicated pieces of junk, frequently unfixable.
We replaced the entire ice maker body (part ordered through Sears) and after spending almost 2 hours melting enough ice to be able to remove the original part, put the new one in in 15 minutes. I was told that this is almost always a failure in the computer chip in this part, resulting in water continuing to flow after the tray is full... Ice build-up-hell. Cost me $154 plus the part I'd bought and weeks of 7/11 ice. Supposedly these fail between 2 months and 2 years. And all the replacement parts are just the same as the original!
Rinse, repeat. OMG! I spent $1,500 at Best Buy plus over $400 in the 1st 2 years already. I have never had to have any prior fridge need repair in 30 years! I replaced them every 10 or so years for newer "better" models. Until now... I will never ever buy a product from Samsung as long as I live. I even hated the one phone of theirs. I didn't mention the HOURS I spent trying to deal with customer service.

Within 48 hours I was contacted by Samsung to schedule a COURTESY tech visit - this after they repeatedly claimed the behavior was normal. He moved the sensor! Two years later I can say I am very happy with the damned thing. Had two Samsung Microwaves let the smoke out with a year of purchase. Lowe's replaced first, I threw out the second. Turns out the power transformer uses copper clad wire rather then solid. Bought a GE and NO issues.
Then there was the LED TV fiasco. Kept turning off after three years. Almost threw it out until I discovered the class action settlement where they had to to come to the home, replace the 15 cent electrolytic capacitors in the power supply with 50 cent capacitors. Turns out there was actually a business where savvy people bought up "broken" tvs and replaced the caps. Took the tech all of 15 minutes to do in my home. Samsung close engineers their products. Cons: The drawers are not seamless so food, spilled juices, spilled sauces flows into the seams and will NEVER come clean. The glass shelves are not seamless and the same issue with cleaning is the result. The Ice maker worked great for the 1st year after which it continuously leaks water down the front of the door and makes a high pitch whining noise 24/7. Samsung will not warranty the ice maker. While under warranty, the refrigerator was "repaired" by Samsung without a problem. When the same problem recurred, the refrigerator was out of warranty. Since it was the same problem, I sought help from Samsung.
The tirade I was exposed to from the manager of the support/repair department at Samsung was shameful and insulting. He was indignant that I should ask for a repair from Samsung and scolded me like I was a 5-year old. He said that a five or six year old refrigerator was already very old and then asked how long did I expect a refrigerator to work anyhow? He went on and on until I finally said "Thank you" and "Good bye."
Today I replaced that defective part myself and found that when it was "repaired" the first time, a used or refurbished part had been installed. This was obvious by the amount of duct tape and silver tape (used by heating duct installers) that held the part together on the side on the back, hidden from view. I was surprised the used part lasted as long as it did. I will NEVER recommend Samsung products to anyone. I purchased a Samsung Refrigerator in 2013. 2-Door Side By Side with Model # RS263TD1BP. This refrigerator was manufactured in 2012 which has a design problem. Ice builds around the cooling coils which allows the refrigerator to completely shutdown. The refrigerator only maintains temperatures at the bottom, and is hot throughout all levels of the unit. Apparently the sensor that is attached to the cooling system which does not regulate the system to adjust after it reaches a certain temperature. A service repairman removed the back panel and had to take a steamer to defrost the ice. It took over 55 minutes to defrost the ice and replace the back panel. This is a design and manufacturing problem. Samsung knew that this problem exist, but continues to put this product on the market for customers to purchase.
The warranty states that this should be covered, but Samsung refuses to acknowledge that this issue is not covered, and is left up to the customer to pay for their mistake. I have contacted Samsung over 25 times, and can't get to the Executive Level. I am sharing my level of frustration because the average lifetime of any household appliance should be longer than 3 years. Refrigerators are suppose to last. This is a design problem and all of these refrigerators should be RECALLED! Customers that purchased the SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR THAT HAS THE BOTTOM PULL OUT FREEZER EXPERIENCE THIS PROBLEM several years ago and their units were replaced. Apparently, the problem is now existing in the 2-door side by side units as well.
THERE IS A MALFUNCTION WITH THE COOLING SYSTEM. ICE BUILDS UP AROUND THE COPPER COILS WHICH CAUSES THE REFRIGERATOR TO stop regulating temperatures evenly throughout the refrigerator. The top and middle of the refrigerator is extremely hot and the bottom is extremely cold. Samsung should issue a recall of these appliances because they knew it was defected before putting these refrigerators on the market.
Samsung Refrigerators are not constructed very well and apparently, this product does not have longevity. Too many consumers are complaining about this particular product. If complaints are being made, Samsung is aware of this malfunction and should take total responsibility and implement a recall. Samsung knew that this product was defective. A refrigerator is a household appliance that should last about on the average of 15-20 years. I sought out to buy a new refrigerator, a Samsung not because of need but desire. I was remodeling my kitchen, and I owned an Amana for 17 years. AND - this refrigerator never had one problem.

The freezer was never repaired after parts were ordered and placed on. Over $600.00 in costs to us. The refrigerator has been a total piece of junk at a purchase price of $2310.00. We bought parts and paid repairs, and the technicians did not get the right parts, then when correct parts came in they said it would be useless to put on because the freezer was not worth repairs. We were reimbursed $195.82! Ha.
After all the stress and aggravation, needless to say the ruined food we stored in freezer - a great loss. We were so sickened by the fact that we thought we made the best choice in buying a Samsung appliance, but this has proven to be a very expensive and stressful experience. And we bought a dishwasher at the same time, but replaced it in 2 years for $650.00. It did not clean and didn't last. Just thought we made a mistake and bought a cheap one. The one we bought in late 2012 is working like a charm, but it is not a Samsung product.

Water accumulates in veggie & fruit drawers which has to be poured out daily several times. Water also accumulates under the drawer. If not taken care of daily, I'm sure it would eventually get out of the refrigerator and onto the floor. I had it repaired last October 2015 at a cost of $400. Two small parts were replaced which I looked up and only cost together under $20. The repair took less than 15 minutes once the food was removed. Now it' s doing the exact same thing, months later and the company says it cannot do anything about it.

We bought this at HHGregg in June 2015 for $2000. Thought it would be our last refrigerator. No such luck! Nine months after buying it, it started making loud noises and freezing up inside the back wall. For all practical purposes, their customer service is non existent! Got passed from one to the other, asking the same questions over and over, like the model #, serial #, etc. Asked irrelevant things like how many Samsung products we owned. Then said it probably wasn't level and to look under it! Totally insane!
Got nowhere so called the store that sold it to us and they finally got in touch with a rep who set up the repair. Thought that was the end of it but three months later, around July 1st this year, the clanging noise returned and it wasn't cooling properly! Same problem with icing and fan. Now it is one month out of warranty! Called previous repair company and they couldn't come for over two weeks! Tried Angie's List and Home Advisor. Got call backs but they stated outright that they wouldn't work on Samsung appliances because of shoddy workmanship and numerous problems!
Finally got someone to look at it. He tested it and said two motherboards were burnt out, along with needing new fan, thermostats (plural), etc. Said parts come from overseas and could take months and it would be over $1000 to fix, with no guarantee it would last! We can't go without a refrigerator so ended up junking it and buying a new one. Not Samsung! Never again! So for 13 months, we had a pretty appliance that doesn't work! These obviously should have been recalled! We're back to the top freezer model, recommended by the repairman and this time bought a 4 year warranty. It's disgusting that they can sell such junk and are not stopped! It was an expensive $2100 mistake!

I purchased Samsung Chef Collection refrigerator around Nov/Dec of 2014. Best looking refrigerator at the time. Paid over $4000. Well, I must say, it does look good, but where is the bases of the GOOD REFRIGERATOR? I wonder. Reason being is that, the ICE MAKER has been giving me problem about 9 months into use. Ice would not come out, so I tried to pull the ice basket off. It was stuck and could not remove it. Called warranty service, then it was close to being expired. Tech came and fixed it, then month later it was doing it again.
Seems to me that when ice is being produced, the water splashes along the wall and it freezes the mechanism around it. When tech came, he had to turn off the refrigerator and use the steamer to melt around it. Another problem that I am experience is when ICE is being dispensed, only CRUSHED ICE will come out. So, I guess entire ICE MACHINE is just a JUNK after all. I would not recommend you getting this unit. I should have listen to the sales person, because, he did say, Samsung has weak ICE Machine, but didn't warn me enough. (He should have said, ICE MACHINE is a some Piece of **.) I hope they will do recall on this unit or replace it at no cost. Better yet, they better come out with better ICE MACHINE Technology that will simply produce ICE.

Model # RF260BEAESR/AA -- do not buy this product...ever! Left French door assembly/gasket has broken and literally fell off twice. As it is a little over 2 years old, it is no longer under warranty, therefore Lowe's has offered me nothing but rudeness and ridiculous hold times. The end result is that Samsung had to be called directly. After repeated phone calls and hours of my life that I can no longer get back, it's going to cost me ANOTHER 300.00 to replace the same part.
Samsung's customer support is deplorable. They have essentially offered me nothing. After the tech completes this repair my total repair/loss cost will be almost 1,000.00, and I will still have the same horrible appliance that will undoubtedly need the same repair months from now. Samsung has refused to even pay for the diagnostic tech appointment (another 90.00 to tell me what I already know) or parts, or labor.
Apparently when you buy a Samsung appliance you are entirely responsible for obvious factory defects and they will assist with nothing...ever. In speaking with a few Samsung-certified technicians, they have informed me that not only do most customers have this disappointing experience but their own technicians cannot get the support they need to provide the necessary service!!! I learned later it's a common issue. Service Ticket **- no one called back or showed up. Refrigerator started making a lot of noise and some water appeared in refrigerator. I learned the Samsung refrigerator Series RF267 has an ongoing issue with freezing up and icing over the fan and evaporator coil. Class action suit.
04/14/14 Called Best Buy Geek Squad technician who removed back of Samsung refrigerator and attempted to defrost back of defective design. Remove inside back panel, inserted $4 part to prevent refreezing and replaced original back with broken styrofoam insert. Ice still remained in cooling vents 2 days later and still is icing up. $162.38 service call. Either Best Buy or Samsung should cover charge of full repair or replacement for 2-year-old French door refrigerator that clearly has a poor design and many complaints online. Problem continued so we periodically defrosted the refrigerator to clear ice from coils. Contacted Samsung again 09/17/14 and was told by Sherlyn: "There are no reported issues with the unit." Ha! Representative Sheryln assigned the transaction number ** and forwarded it to Executive Customer Relations department. No helpful response, credit, or repair.
We contacted Best Buy/Geek Squad again and for $400+ they replaced the inside back panel of the refrigerator, door seals, fan, etc. After a horrible experience and almost $700 in repair bills we hoped to put this behind us and enjoy our beautiful stainless steel refrigerator for a while and we did until the noise started again and the temperature started going up in the refrigerator this week. Now food is in ice chests and I am shopping for a new fridge. Unfortunately there are some pretty bad reviews out there on Whirlpool, LG, Samsung, etc. Will definitely purchase the extended warranty and may go with Costco because of their customer service. A small plastic bracket that supports the upper ice maker in my french door refrigerator (RF 323TEDBSR) broke. I have spent more than two months with Samsung's official parts department, J & J International, Inc. trying to obtain the part. Initially they told me that the part I needed was the assembly case and auger motor. I couldn't believe it but they swore it was an integrated part. I ordered it to the tune of $175. When it arrived I took it out and it was immediately clear that it was the wrong part. So I called and received a Return Authorization number. I was told that I would receive a shipping label by email. After a week, I called again and was told that it hadn't come to me because they only make these labels up on Wednesdays! I was instructed to wait a few more days. I did, no label.
I called again and was told that they had misspelled my email address and would send it again within the hour. I waited two days and contacted on-line customer service. They also told me that my email was misspelled (what, again?) that they had spelled "office" with two "I"s instead of two "f"s. Customer service told me that they had alerted the "proper person" to the problem. When I asked for that person's information, I was told that "it" doesn't speak to the public. Nice!
Oh, the reason they authorized the return is that the bracket, which is held in place by three small screws "is a non-serviceable part because it was installed before the case was foamed in for insulation." They might as well have told me that there was no such part in my refrigerator. They think that they can give you an stupid excuse. Actually, it is a piece of plastic, the size of my hand, that weighs about two ounces. Worth two dollars at most but I'd gladly pay $20 because, without it, I have no upper ice maker. I have been in touch with Samsung's Executive Offices to no avail. A company that doesn't support its own products should be forced out of business. I bought this refrigerator from Lowe's. I think they should consider the effect on their customers by continuing to advertise and sell this garbage. No more for me.

I bought a Samsung Refrigerator with cold water dispenser, ice maker & deli tray drawer (Model # RF 267ABRS) in June 2009. It is 7 years old and, to its credit, it keeps food cold enough (set at 36 degrees) and has never needed a repair - but I wouldn't buy another one.
My chief complaint is the darn replacement filters because: (1) they a pain to install (I am not strong enough to apply the necessary torque that is needed to remove & install the filters so my husband has to do that part) and you have to remove one of the shelves which means taking all of the food off and putting it all back, (2) it takes 2 people to change a filter because the new filters must have water run through them for 5 long minutes, so one person stands there holding a hose and funnel up to the water dispenser while the other person holds the other end of the hose over the sink for the water to drain, and (3) the filters are sealed units so you can't clean them yourself and they have to be replaced twice per year at about $50 a pop (although I just found that Amazon has them for about $37). So far we have spent $670 on replacement filters - on top of the $2500 we paid for the fridge. This is nuts.
Also, the white plastic trim on the shelves is beginning to get marked up and there doesn't seem to be any way to remove the marks. The stainless steel exterior, the only kind they had in stock when my old fridge died, holds fingerprints and requires continual cleaning. And the ice maker does leak although we found if we remove the ice holding bucket and push the ice toward the rear (away from the door dispenser) before putting it back in, it stops the leaking - until the next time you use ice dispenser. Poor design. In all, this refrigerator requires too much maintenance, too much hassle and considerable ongoing expenses. I'll buy something else next time.

I have spent my day trying to get someone to just help me get in touch with a repairman. 1st call to Samsung today tried to convince me that I had set the refrigerator to the wrong setting (didn't touch it). 2nd call to Samsung gave me a number to call to set up a time for a repairman to come. I was told it would be quicker if I made my own appointment. I called the number that I was given, waited on the line for 25 minutes, and the first question I was asked was what state I was in. Left it sit for a while, called Samsung Cust. service (if you can call it that). They asked a few questions and then said, "Oh, you have a ONE year warranty, sorry." 4 Door Refrigerator Model RF25HMEDBWW/AA - Soon after receiving our new refrigerator we advised Samsung and they dispatched a service Tech from a highly regarded service provider. Samsung had sent a replacement front and auger, which they installed. The quality of the ice was not improved, and still many cubes were broken. We were away for the winter, and ice maker was turned off. Recently we had three successive issues with dairy products going sour prematurely, and loss of some beautiful steaks. The front panel assured me that temperature was 37. On the evening of June 5, 2016 I used two different digital thermometers and confirmed that problem was the main cooling (Upper) was registering 55 degrees F. I used a Taylor remote oven thermometer plus a fast (but not instant) digital cooking thermometer with 0.1 degree gradient.
The following AM, June 6, as I was leaving the house for the day, I asked my wife to call Samsung and report the problem. That evening my wife informed me that the Samsung person asked her to unplug and then re-plug the power cord. The delivery team for our retailer had damaged the legs on the bottom of the unit, making it very difficult to move and access the power outlet. They have been slow in responding, and I will use this document to re-light a fire under them, as I am certain they will not be pleased to read their name here. I called Samsung that evening and advised that a technician was needed. They informed me that it would take several days before I heard from their agents. On the third evening past my call, I again called Samsung and was advised that there was no record of my prior call.
On the 16th, the tech arrived and advised that this was a common issue caused by freeze-up of the evaporator coil in the upper refrigerator, and some new parts would also fix the ice problem. I called Samsung in an attempt to get the parts expedited, and when I requested to speak with the Samsung Service Manager I was advised that the person I was speaking with could not arrange a communication with a Samsung higher up and that absolutely nobody at Samsung would have a knife sharp enough to cut through the accumulated Samsung constipation. It is very clear that their telephone answering people have all submitted to a lobotomy before beginning work there and all they are allowed to do is read what appears on their computer screen.
Due to the scheduling procedure, I was not able, until approximately 10:15, to learn if and in what time frame to anticipate the tech's arrival! The tech WITH THE PARTS arrived just before 1PM on the 23rd of June. He spent several hours replacing parts, and I thought and hoped the problems were over. Ice is no better and temperatures are still warm. So today when I called, I immediately advised the computer that I would only speak with a service executive. After a 33 minute wait I got somebody in their Executive Service department.
After a 15 minute conversation with him, I realized that he did not have any idea how a refrigerator worked and he placed me on A SHORT HOLD, to immediately transfer me to somebody in Refrigeration. At 1 hour and three minutes I was connected with somebody in the Dominican Republic that likely could not tell the difference between a digital thermometer and a rectal, EVEN if the digital device was inserted in his rectum. Do not ask about his comprehension of a refrigerator. He got me a reference number for the new service call at 1 hour and 20 minutes and indicated that I would hear from somebody that understood refrigeration in a day or two. THE PRECEDING WAS COMPOSED ON MONDAY EVENING, JUNE 27.
Beginning on the second Tuesday of next week, I am going to begin holding my breath until Samsung discovers the concept that I invented: I have called it "responsibility and service". Today, June 28, I heard from service company and learned that they will have a tech here on July 14. We are going to look for a phone number for Enterprise Refrigerator Rental, to get a loaner until somebody at Samsung elects to have our not quite one year old refrigerator deliver on its promise, keeping dairy and meat from souring prematurely, and making good ice.
My 15 year old Amana did it quite well, seldom ran short and never failed to properly cool! It did not offer crushing or dispensing thru the door, but if Samsung cannot get those features right for 3 or 4 times the cost, maybe their future is in composting. I would love to discover the name and address of a responsible executive at Samsung and arrange for a second year med school student, with an interest in Proctology, to park this POS in an appropriate orifice! Is there a class action suit in process? IF SO, PLEASE SUPPLY DATA SO I CAN JOIN.

I find the parts list online & email Samsung to ask how to locate them and buy them, as a couple of them didn't have part #s on the schematic. They proceed to tell me that they cannot sell me these parts, that I would need to contact a Samsung authorized repair person. Fast forward to 6-2016. The ice maker has continually frozen up for the past couple of months. Then all of a sudden, the fan starts making a loud noise. Then I realize that the unit is not as cool as it is supposed to be after purchasing a thermometer and setting it inside.
Luckily, I purchased the extended warranty through the company I bought it from, however, the warranty contract will only allow $125 reimbursement in spoiled food. When I went through all of the food, I tallied it all up and it totaled over $208!! I am angry that Samsung has made such a shoddy product and no recall has been issued for this fridge. IMO, a fridge should last longer than 3 years before having cooling issues. I have owned others for many, many more years and never had a cooling problem with those.
Apparently, this is a well known issue that the unit freezes up in the coil/ fan area, yet Samsung has not issued a recall, just a service bulletin! We have bought Samsung electronics for many years. In 2011 we bought all new kitchen appliances, top of the line Samsung. It is now 5 years later 2016 and we have a dishwasher that needs a new motor, the most expensive part approx $600.00. Now our fridge has leaked from the water dispenser and flooded our kitchen twice. It just starts pouring by itself. Of course this happened while we were not home and then again during the night. We thought the first time may have been a fluke but it was not. The electronics on the door stopped working. The replacement part at $400.00 did not work. We also have a leak inside from one of the vents in the back that leaks down the back and pools under the crispers.
The tech at this point is not sure what is wrong with it. He now suspects the motherboard. The leak inside will require the whole inside back of the fridge being replaced. These repairs are going to make it not worth fixing. Of course Samsung says "I'm sorry there is only a 1 year warranty." They will do NOTHING. The appliances are barely 5 years old. How can they possibly not stand behind their products with problems such as this? We all know appliances last many many years with no problems. The tech we are using used to be a Samsung tech and reported how hard they make it to be a tech. The techs even complain about Samsung. I gave 1 star because you have to put something there but I feel less than zero.
We will never buy Samsung appliances again. We also will question any further Samsung electronics. We spend so much money on Samsung from cell phones, tablets, tvs, etc. you would think they would do something to help us out. This is the thanks we get for being loyal customers for many years. We now have to buy a new fridge that will be around $2k if we are lucky. The dishwasher will have to be replaced. We have not had trouble out of the range or microwave yet, we hope we don't! What a way to have to spend your hard earned money.
Again, we will never buy Samsung appliances again. Be careful because we have a Kenmore washing machine that is made by Samsung. Kenmore is not Kenmore any more. All you have to do is ask Sears, they will tell you. The appliance brands today are not what they say, you have to ask what company made the appliance. I have a beach property that I have recently bought a dishwasher, range, hot water heater and AC. The company I purchased the different items from say that there are a few manufacturers and then a name goes on the same thing with a few differences. Buyer beware!

It appears that there is no customer service, so the refrigerator will just have to be trashed. Last year the ice maker quit, froze totally solid, could not be fixed by a refrigerator repair person. He couldn't thaw it and suggested we call Samsung. After several hours, actually 2 days, we thawed it with a hair dryer, hot water, etc.! We pulled the cube maker out and just used the ice maker area to make cubes placing an ice cube tray in the opening. Suddenly one day a year later it started making ice cubes, then it quit, now it is leaking water onto the floor.
Today water just poured out of the ice maker area into the refrigerator! I came to this site to see if others were having similar problems with their Samsung Refrigerator, and found that I am only one among many who are out well over a thousand dollars, with no hope of getting assistance from Samsung. What a waste of money on this product! Why is there not a class action lawsuit against Samsung?

COMPLAINT ABOUT Samsung Refrigerator Model No: RSA1STMG. Almost 3 months ago we have bought new appliances for the new kitchen; one appliance was a Samsung refrigerator - Owner Safaan **. Model No: RSA1STMG. Serial No: Y6VU4AD6200261. It looked good, water, ice, child lock, all the bells and whistle.
After three months of purchase the refrigerator started problems and losing its cooling which gradually increased and in tow three days it totally out of order. The refrigerator was still under warranty as we bought just three months ago. We went to Samsung below outlet from we bought this refrigerator. Their services are very poor even they don't have manners to deal with customer. If we don't get proper feedback we do not buy anything Samsung. NEVER will I purchase another Samsung product and I plan to tell everyone at the store how Samsung treats their customers. Don't buy any household appliances by SAMSUNG. They are poorly designed and cheaply made. They do not back their products at all. This is the WORST refrigerator we have ever owned! Will NEVER buy another Samsung appliance!
Below are the details of Samsung outlet: Samsung Digital Plaza. Shop no:2 Ground floor, plot #7 Mustafa Center B.M.C.H.S. Block # 3, Sharfabad Karachi, Pakistan. Sale Man ** Cell# **. Email ID: **. Samsung technician came out, stood next to the refrigerator, and diagnosed the problem without touching the appliance and never come back since. It's been 15 days. We are regular customers of Samsung and are using many Samsung products since many years. Currently we have two sets of Samsung s6 edge plus, one Note five which are under warranty and also using Note 2 and two sets of S4 and google Nexus also many more products. Hope we will have proper feedback from Samsung. Thanks!

Called Samsung technician to repair leaking refrigerator. Every time it went into defrost mode it would leak water, a little when I first purchased it, then much worse. Refrigerator is nearly two yrs old, so is out of warranty. I am a retired Engineer, so did some reading and found the problem to be a smaller than required heat sink (Samsung calls it a drain clip). This heat sink is suppose to keep the defrost drain from frosting up. Took technician 30 minutes to replace this part with the correct size. Per tech, he gets a lot of this work. Here is my problem, should a company like Samsung be charging the consumer for their design flaw? The cost was $173, part cost was $10 dollars.
Called Samsung ECR (Executive Customer Rep), explained that this was not a repair or a fix, but a correction to a design flaw. I thought Samsung would want to stand behind their product, but all she would say was that it was out of warranty. The model # RF263BEAESP/AA. There must be thousands of these out there with this known design flaw. I hope this review helps someone if they are looking for a new refrigerator. Needless to say, I won't be buying any Samsung products in near future.

I bought a Samsung French door refrigerator in 2013. Within a year it started to freeze up and not cool. I have had to thaw it 4 times in two years now and I am getting ready for number 5. Never! Never! Never! buy their products again. I will not even buy a TV or phone. Horrible company. I am looking to see if any class action lawsuits are around so I can get some of my money back.

Samsung model RFU287HAWP is now discontinued according to Home Depot. Purchased July 2013. Our old GE model had died after 20+ years, 5 moves, 2 kids, etc. We loved the Samsung features but were hesitant due to some negative online reviews, specifically the digital display. The Home Depot sales associate felt like those issues had been resolved. Everything went well for the first year, the display/control board is not really intuitive, but Samsung's 800 number was always there to help.
Thirteen months after purchasing (these have a one year warranty) the digital display went out. Everybody who comes in our kitchen is like, "What does that do?" The mechanical portion of the fridge still worked. I work in HVAC and keep thinking one day I will buy the part online and replace, but hey after spending worth of $2,000 I am in no hurry.
Recently I changed the water filter, which on the plus side is easy to do! Expensive, but an easy DIY item. To reset the filter reminder, you have to hold some buttons down on the display board. Recall that mine is defunct. So while resetting the display, I put the fridge into.... wait for it... DISPLAY MODE. The lights work, but the cooling does not! Daughter goes to get a popsicle and BAM, no popsicle, no ice cream, spoiled milk, etc. If I may offer some advice, go to an appliance dealer who has some skin in the game. Yes, you will pay 5 to 10% more, but somebody will be on your side, and DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PURCHASE A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR.

We purchased a Samsung Refrigerator side by side 4 years ago. In the last 6 months it has stopped getting cold, temp goes up to 59 degrees. The first time a local appliance repairman came out, told me that the fan freezes up. He unplugged it and thawed it out. Worked fine for a couple of months. Later it has happened again. I tried unplugging it and thawing it out. Did not work so I called a Samsung repairman and 1 week later he will be here. I will not ever buy Samsung again. Customer Service Rep from Samsung told me things don't last very long anymore.

Although my Samsung Refrigerator (Model RF217ACRS) looks great and worked fine for a while, the fridge is a lemon. Do not buy a Samsung fridge. Even though I have had two visits from a professional and had one part replaced, the fridge suffers from major ice buildup problems. At first it was ice and water in the bottom of the fridge. Later it was ice buildup that cut off the flow of cold air. The machine needs to be unplugged and defrosted on a regular basis which is extremely annoying. The machine has power but is not dependable.

This is ongoing problem since more than one month. I called Trail Appliances technician. First visit the technician said “problem with your filter” – totally wrong diagnosis. Second time the technician came he tried for 1 hr – no clue and he said will come again. Third time he came and he thinks it might be control panel (but he is not sure). When I talk to manager he said max the part cost will be $250 and they ordered the part even without my concern. Now parts came to their branch and was waiting for their call. When no call came I called them and they said we called on May 20/2016. No one has replied. Was just wrong. Now the part value is $500. Almost doubles. The customer service is very unprofessional from Trail Appliances. I feel like they are looting.
With this problem there was a flooding on my floor and the wooden floor get damaged. Ceiling in basement also get damaged and estimated expense of $15000 for this faulty Samsung French door refrigerator and the technician they don't have a clue what's wrong. Talk to Samsung but they are also not cooperative and the worst service I have received from Samsung and Trail Appliances. Not sure what to do next. Any comments from these affairs guys?
