We purchased a Samsung refrigerator May, 2015. I want to keep others from making the same mistake. I would not buy any Samsung product, ever! This has been a piece of junk from the start and Samsung totally excludes themselves from any contact. The ice maker has not worked correctly from the beginning. They replaced it in the first year and it still hasn't worked properly. I would highly recommend people to buy anything other than Samsung.

Had the Samsung refrigerator a little over a year and the ice maker stopped working. Called customer service who ran me through 15 minutes of tests then said a technician would call within 48 hours to come out and repair the fridge. Two days later after not getting a call, I called Samsung again and was informed that the service provider will call me. Samsung tried calling and no luck left message. I was then instructed to run through the same 15 minutes of tests and told (once again) a technician would call within 48 hours. No one has showed up so I called Samsung back again to find out there is only one AUTHORIZED company in the area SA Display. So now I have escalated this because I can't get my ice maker fixed. By reading everyone's reviews there is an obvious issue with this model number. So I am still waiting on someone from the escalation department to call me back on how they are going to service this ice maker issue.
So not only have I waited 2 weeks to resolution I now have to wait ANOTHER 48 hours for a technician to call me. As of the time of this review my freezer is still broken, there is no set time for the technician to come out and I have wasted my time on the phone with this horrible, incompetent company. I will NEVER buy another Samsung product again and can honestly say this is one of the WORST companies I have ever dealt with. Customer service is horrible. NEVER again. Buy American, people!!! Never again with Samsung of anything!!!

Samsung Warranty Service. Replaced all my kitchen appliances with Samsung a few months ago. Happy with them generally but fridge/freezer suddenly stopped cooling. Samsung Call Center has dispatched the ticket to 3 different Authorized Warranty Service Centers over two days. All Service Centers have "declined" as they say they cannot repair Compressor/Sealed Unit as they are. I forced the Call Center to escalate to their "dispatch center" which then tried to send another service provider who declined to come as they were not qualified or equipped to do the work. Two days without a TV is manageable. Two days without a fridge is not. I had to buy a new freezer to save my frozen meat and food. Needless to say, Freezer is not a Samsung. Still have not reached anyone at Samsung who can make a decision. Thanks for the Melty Mess in my new kitchen, Samsung.

Had the fridge for about 9 months and a fan started to make noise, then it stopped cooling altogether... Called the local warranty service and waited for over two weeks. Finally called and they were waiting for almost a dozen parts. Still without the fridge for over three weeks. Then the ice couldn't decide whether to dispense ice or water. It would indicate water then dispense ice. Paid more for supposedly a higher quality product but turned out to be a turkey. Never a Samsung product again.

We purchased our Samsung RF32MWDBSR at HHGREG on 10/12/2014, in Fort Wayne Indiana, am I thankful we purchased the 5 years warranty, never planned to have to use a warranty on such an expensive item but for weather considerations on a $2749.00 model you will consider. I paid an additional $449.99 for 5 yrs warranty to which is SLOW AND SLOWER to have repairs done. This is my 3rd complaint and according to their 3 complaints and I'll replace it with a NEW ONE I am waiting to see.
I am not happy with this model. It has had so far, our first repair was on 7/23/2015 when compressor 66A and 34 A went out. E23/ Cond Fan error & Main PCB FAILURE. All this occurred the 1st time, then it would not cool equally as said to be in manual. We called in 2nd complaint they refused to send a repair man out. They made issue to call the other warranty program and give us the runaround. We called the other and nothing happened, then after 6 months they finally issued a check for loss of food for $200 which didn't even come close to all we lost two times. The refrigerator still has a flood of issues they won't fix.
I have again just today decided to call in again and ask for a ticket order, all automated, with a 999-999-9999 number to call. It's a joke!! I put in for now a third service call because freezer ice maker is dead for 3 months cause they lost my last service ticket AGAIN... oh my! Well all I can say is Samsung offers no help whatsoever, on this faulty model and have no plans to help their customers who have a 5 yr warranty out either. I would love to sue them! It is beyond a recall when their product can't run for more than 8 months between major repairs. THEY LIE ABOUT WARRANTY CALL INSURANCE. They do not stand behind their product. PLEASE BUYERS BEWARE!

Samsung refrigerator not cooling bought 11 months ago. I am hoping for a fair solution from Samsung but not pleased with all the reviews that suggest that Samsung will not honor the one year warranty that it was sold with. If Lowe's is to keep carrying Samsung refrigerators, the Samsung company needs to honor warranties and know how to fix their products. I am still asking for the warranty to be honored; they say it is out of warranty which it will be next week. I hope to get a repair this week and not need to take other action.

About 3 years ago, I bought a 4-door Samsung refrigerator, along with a new gas stove and microwave. The refrigerator started buzzing. Doing some research, I found that this is a fairly common issue. You could see ice starting to form out of the vents of the twin cooler. Repairman came out and replaced the part with a new MODIFIED part. I capitalize the word modified because if there weren't any issues with the original part, then why are replacement parts being modified? Talking with Samsung, they refuse to acknowledge that there is a severe design flaw, and essentially leave their customers out to dry by making us pay to fix something because of a design flaw.
Fast forward to now (only a few months after the part replacement), and it is BUZZING AGAIN!!! I am livid. Samsung, once again, is useless in assisting their customers. Do not, and I repeat, DO NOT EVER BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR!!! Never before has my satisfaction with a company taken such a turn. I had a fabulous experience with a Samsung TV I had bought many years ago and developed a loyalty, which of course now has gone to hell in a hand basket. Shame on Samsung. Very unimpressed.

Samsung should be ashamed of theirselves for trying to pass off such an awful product. Spent 100,000.00 on a downstairs remodel. Picked out the Samsung fridge (model RF23M8590SG/AA). Had the cabinets made to fit. The repair guys are here because it only makes 2 cups of ice an hour. It's not broke... That is all it makes. Bought a top of the line fridge that Best Buy sold me. What a piece of crap. I spent over 9000.00 at Pacific Sales that works out of best buy in Laguna Hills. Shame on them for selling this crappy product. Samsung repair bus said that this is their day. Telling Samsung owners bad news. And they told me my appointment was at 10:00... It's 2:07.

I purchased my Samsung SM 26CF 4D refrigerator in July of 2014 for almost $1000. Now neither the refrigerator nor the freezer are working. In addition, it is kept at a residence I rent out but only had my first renter of the season in May. When he got there the entire contents were rotten and even after a cleaning, the interior smells horrible. I have called Samsung 3 different times only to be told each time someone will respond per their policy within 48 hours. That was 3 weeks ago. They also said they would escalate it to their executive team and they would call back within 48 hours. This means nothing as I last heard from them 6 days ago when I called them. To get me off track the rep said I needed my receipt, which I have had since the first time I called. He then said "These things take time." Their customer services is horrible and they look for reasons not to fulfill their responsibilities. Please do not buy a Samsung appliance from them.

Samsung Counter Depth Smart French Door Refrigerator - We purchased our refrigerator in February of 2017. The icemaker performs terribly. This is definitely not a family refrigerator. The icemaker does not even produce enough ice for just the two of us. Sometimes it does not produce any ice at all for no apparent reason. There are other times when it is just slow. It is simply not consistent. The best way to make sure you have ice with this refrigerator is to use ice trays. I can have 16 cubes of ice per tray in 30 minutes as opposed to waiting hours if I depend on the ice maker. I would not purchase this refrigerator again if I could go back and do this all over again.

We have had our fridge for 3 years. It consistently drips water onto floor from right side (when facing it) out of flex zone drawer. When investigating how to fix this, there is always condensation build up on the back of our fridge, and the coils were frozen and covered with ice. The hole that defrosting water is suppose to exit was clogged due to ice and had to be thawed. We also have an issue with our ice maker making ice. We have also had the ice maker module (electric unit on exterior of fridge) replaced during warranty and needed to be replaced within 6 months due to repetitive issues.

We purchased the 4 door Samsung French Door refrigerator with the Flex Zone drawer 2 years ago. Just before the 2 year mark the ice maker stopped working. We had someone come out to replace the ice maker, but found out it wasn't really the ice maker. There was a hole in the Freon line which caused the ice maker to stop working. Once the ice maker was defrosted all the Freon ran out smelling up our house & making the whole refrigerator useless. Every day for 6 weeks I called the customer service at Samsung. Not ONE person cared about us having no refrigerator. They didn't apologize or express sympathy. It was the most frustrating experience. Finally after 4 weeks they agreed "verbally" to give us a full refund. They wouldn't put the $ amount in writing & it took another 2 weeks for us to receive the check. We were told by a repairman to not buy Samsung appliances & we took that advice & purchased a Whirlpool. So far so good!

Don't ever buy a Samsung fridge. We have had our French door refrigerator for about a year. It is a 2015 make and model. The freezer never shuts correctly, the ice maker sucks but today and recently over the past week it hasn't been cooling correctly even though the temp says it was okay. We unplugged it and restarted it and it gave us a more accurate reading of 50 instead of 34. After hours of trying to get it took work and numerous websites later we figured out that it's not defrosting even though it is supposed to defrost itself. Come to find out this happens a lot with Samsung. We had to manually take off the back of the fridge and manually defrost it with a hairdryer. This is the WORST experience I have ever had. I will never buy Samsung again!!!

Purchased the refrigerator less than year ago and have had nothing but trouble with it. Ice maker doesn't work half of the time. Rarely puts out whole ice cubes and if it does put ice out it’s crushed beyond recognition. We have to constantly take the ice maker apart and clean up the ice buildup. Works for a few days and stops up again. We have to use a plastic container in the freezer for ice, or we wouldn't have any! NEVER BUY ANOTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT, The Dishwasher doesn't work right either.

I had purchased a Samsung Fridge double door of 325 ltr capacity during Jan 2011. The Fridge was not giving good response right from the date of purchase i.e. watering, freezer not working, frequent sensor and motherboard problems. I had complained to Samsung that you have delivered a faulty fridge, so replace a good Samsung Fridge or repay the amount. They did not lisen any one of my offer to satisfy the customer. They CHEATED ME and assured that we will rectify the issue and deliver you perfectly. They took the unit to service center and got repaired.
Till date I am facing one or the other problem in every 4 months time and I require to pay for each service and even I have to pay to the technician for just inspecting the fridge where the reply from the technician was that the proper thermacol is not available for the top door fridges and they themselves say that all top door fridges will have the same problem and hence they same problem will continue even after repair. I had a single door 190 ltr Whirlpool fridge without problem for ten years except to defrosting.
A fridge is an immovable item in a house and an amount hard earned money Rs.25000 is invested on a fridge of a reputed company and if it is giving frequent problems one or other and spending nearly one-fourth of cost of fridge for the past 6 yrs is really painful and it is great loss to the customer and giving mental agony hence I have been forced purchased an another fridge from Whirlpool for for Rs.22000/- which is an unwanted additional expenditure created by Samsung company. I came to a conclusion after 6 years since I lost faith on SAMSUNG company instead of keep on spending money for repairing the worst Samsung fridge, I have been forced to purchase my old brand from Whirlpool company.
Further the service center at Guindy is also one of the worst service provider and the technicians are not properly qualified, since they are not experienced and charging for the same problems from the customer and the service center is disobedient to Samsung company. Even Samsung company says not to charge for the same problem the service center either do not listen to them or leave the job half baked or not responding further even after repeated phone calls. Hence, in view of the above I advise the public NOT TO PURCHASE SAMSUNG FRIDGE AT ANY COST since all module of SAMSUNG FRIDGE are VERY WORST FRIDGE.

I have been trying to get a refrigerator repaired for 2 weeks. The serviceman who initially came to look at it said Samsung is having a lot of problems with it, but is not doing anything about it. I have spoken to customer service at least 20 times. I have spent many hours on hold, and been disconnected at least 4 times. I have also been told they cannot connect me to a manager, because there were none available. They have finally agreed to pay for the repair, but are unable to find the part to fix a 4 year old fridge in less than 4 weeks. I have been told many times my case will be escalated to the next level, but it never is.
I have also been told is it approved for a replacement, but no one can ever seem to figure out how to get that commitment into the computer, so nothing ever happens. The customer service people are only able to type the problem into their computer, never to do anything to fix it. If I hear "I understand" one more time, I'm going to kill someone. On November 6, 2011 I purchased a Samsung RFG 238AARS refrigerator and an extended warranty. July 2013 it needed a defrost heater and temperature sensor (Evaporation Assembly) due to freezing below the drawer in the freezer. In December 2014 there was a clogged drain and a fan problem causing more freezing in the freezer and refrigerator. In March 20-17 there again was ice build up and the repairman said it was a common problem with Samsung due to duck bills being clogged.
Currently the food freezes in the refrigerator and the freezer has problems with the ice maker. Yet, Samsung will not agree to a replacement. The freezer cost 2500.00 and makes noises and freezes below the drawers in the refrigerator and freezer. IT'S A LEMON! I owned an Amana for 20 years without one repair to it. So sad. Built a beautiful home almost 2 years ago (June 2015). Was so excited to have a nice kitchen. We decided on a Samsung suite for the kitchen. The problems started with our dishwasher. Didn't clean the dishes and smelled of garbage every time you opened it. Had numerous tech calls to "fix" never was. My last straw was when they didn't show up for another appointment after taking an afternoon off from work. We replaced it with a Bosch after only 8 months. My microwave doesn't turn. It used to but we discovered (after warranty was up) that the plate feet were too big for the part on bottom of microwave to turn it. So the refrigerator. Small issue but the bottom deli tray cover comes off every single time you open the drawer. It is too small for the drawer.
Called Samsung and they sent us another one. Same issue. Go into Best Buy and look at the floor model and it works and fits perfectly. Not sure why ours does that. Last month noticed that the same drawer was stuck. Pulled it out and there is a buildup of ice on bottom. Cleaned it all up and has happened again. I am sitting here with two coolers, a dorm refrigerator and my RV refrigerator filled and my Samsung unplugged and empty. I have read that this is an issue. Almost to point of just wanting a new refrigerator. I wish I had the money to replace right now. Don't want to deal with Samsung products again. My Samsung refrigerator that I bought a year ago last December today started making a strange noise. The ice maker has had continual issues but today I came home to a flashing panel and what looked like the freezer defrosting. I tried to ascertain what the problem could be and noticed a loud whirring noise but couldn't determine anything out of the ordinary. The ice maker was functioning fine, for once, but the freezer seemed to be defrosting. I tried several times to depress the panel button, to engage the Power Freeze function, and while it seemed by the numeric display to be responding, there was no cooling happening in the freezer area. The noise continued on and off and oddly the upper refrigerator part didn't seem to be affected, so far.
I called Samsung Support and asked for assistance and a service call. They came back to me saying it would be 2 business days from today which would then be Monday. Since now everything was defrosting and ruining in my freezer I asked if they couldn't expedite the service call. The CSR gave me the appliance repair company contact info and suggested I call first thing in the morning. I asked when he gave the number if it wasn't in another local because I recognized it as one far from my service area. He said not to be concerned about that. Well, when I looked up the information the company is located in Sarasota, FL and I live in the Mobile, AL area so I am concerned!
This is ridiculous and absurd for a 1.5 yr old appliance that should have at least a 10 yr lifespan minimum. What is happening here? I've bought several refrigerators but never one so expensive and certainly never one with so many issues. The CSR stated that if there was a manufacturing defect they would stand by the warranty and I certainly hope this is the case. This doesn't bode well after all of the complaint reviews I've read about their refrigerator line. Wish me luck, it appears I may need it!

Samsung Fridge RF28HFEDBSR. Yes another bad review. We bought the fridge 6/9/2014 when it was new and not more than a month old. The ice maker goes out. They replace the ice maker and 2 months later it freezes on us. This time they sent out a repairman with a hair dryer, yes, a HAIR DRYER and defrosted the problem. Fixed for 2 days. I have had the dance of the repair and replace for 3 years now. We keep buying the warranty and they keep fixing and replacing. You would think they would have a fix for this by now. Why haven't they offered to replace the fridge? I no longer own any Samsung products.

First and foremost, Samsung does not have a clue when it comes to customer service. They're blinded by their policies. As a matter of fact, they have a department that goes by the name of Executive Customer Relations (ECR) which is intended to be there to help with escalated issues and even the manager of this department who goes by the name of Prosper, admitted to me that there is nobody in the company that we, as customers, can speak to that has the ability to determine if a replacement product or refund should be made. You may let this be a warning, if you are reading this, that Samsung truly does not have customer service support if you come across any major issues with your products.
We have had our Samsung refrigerator for only 3 months and within the first 3 days we had our first service call for a defective water system. Then 2 months later the same issue and another major issue occurred and they plan to take our entire unit apart, and rebuild a brand new unit. I bought a brand new unit and do not wish to have a rebuilt unit as anyone in my shoes would feel. Unfortunately because they do not have a person who can help, I want to be sure that you, the consumer, has the chance to be forewarned about the reality of the customer service in this company.
At the end of the day, there are multiple reviews about Samsung quality issues and service issues. Trust what you read as I wish I did when I was shopping for this. I love their TV's as I have a few and have not had issues, but their appliances are not their strong point. Just be careful with Samsung and really think about if you want to deal with this. They have only 1 star on this Consumer Affairs page, which should speak for itself.

We bought a Samsung four-door refrigerator about 1 ½ years ago. It is running fine, but we are not happy with the various features. The French doors mean that there is no middle support for the shelves in the refrigerator - so all shelves are stationary. That leaves only a minimum of space for tall items (14" x 6") and the space on the door. Some of the newer ones have a flip up rack on the top left near the ice maker, but ours is screwed into place. The ice maker is in the refrigerator area and has been difficult. The ice is not frozen solidly and melts very quickly in a glass. The cubes tend to clump up near the top of the area where they dump. We have to clear that out every few weeks.
Then we went on vacation for a month and the ice maker was not dumping properly when we came back. Lots of consternation, letting thaw 2 times, hair dryer etc. Finally we found ice build-up on the dumping hinge and broke that up and finally the ice maker is working at the level that it was before our vacation. Can't tell you how many ice makers we have had in the past and never had half the problems. Especially because we went on vacation!

After owning it 6 months, the ice machine kept thawing out and refreezing, never working properly. Then after a big whopping 1 year, the SAMSUNG FRIDGE COMPLETELY QUIT!!! We lost everything inside the fridge and went without a fridge for over a week and a half. And do you think SAMSUNG honored the warranty... Nope!!! Do you think they honored the full replacement... Nope!!! We still have a little loaner fridge because nobody can seem to help us. So I wouldn't recommend a Samsung fridge to anyone. My Samsung Refrigerator was a gift from my husband. I was so excited and looking forward to having a new refrigerator. Unfortunately, it has turned out to be a nightmare. The refrigerator was purchased in 2014 along with an extended warranty. Within 6 months the ice maker went out. It took 3 trips to repair it. Within 2 weeks it was out again. It took 4 visits to get it fixed this time and we learned it was a design flaw that Samsung knew about, but refused to correct the problem. Instead Samsung sent out a list of things the technicians could do to try and make the ice makers work longer. Again, it failed and a New Ice Maker was put in. That lasted about 6 months, however it leaked the whole time. Once again the ice maker went out. Same issues as before.
Here I sit with the ice maker out yet again with Technicians coming out this week. All the while I am having to purchase Ice, make arrangements to be here for the technicians and listen to the excuses of which NONE are satisfactory. Home Depot and Samsung will not replace the refrigerator, because of an ice maker issue. What is worse now is the water leaking from the ice maker is dripping on the electrical components on the drawer below, which could cause a short or electrical issue. This is a VERY POOR appliance and I do not recommend it to anyone.

Purchased a brand new Samsung counter depth fridge. Ice maker continued to freeze up and eventually was unable to make ice. After two repair visits ($180) from the local company I purchased it from (someone I had dealt with for years and was an authorized dealer) I decided to call Samsung. After a few hours of problem determination (including defrosting the unit again and chipping away the ice) the issue was considered corrected. Of course a month later same issue - contacted service again and they scheduled a service call. The service tech was there 30 seconds and knew exactly what the problem was. There is a significant gap between the inside wall and ice maker allowing air into the unit. Very obviously a manufacturer defect and one they had seen many times before.
I contacted Samsung service again - explaining the issue and requesting to be reimbursed for my third service call (I'm now up to $270 on a 2 1/2 year old unit that I paid $3500 for) and was not very politely told the unit was out of service, it was not a known defect, and they would not reimburse my service call. Sad but true, worst part is they would not own up to the defect, although the tech told me they are required to report their repair fixes which they have done many on these units. They even carry a special tube of caulking with them just for these units. Good luck buying one - last Samsung product I will ever purchase!

I called the brick warranty department and they told me to unplug the fridge for 24hrs before a technician comes out to fix the problem. This surprised me as it seems they already know about the problem on fridge and I wonder why they don't fix it before it was sold.
I asked them to send me a replacement fridge for the period as the fridge is still on warranty. I have small kids and a day without a fridge is a nightmare. The representative was rude and told me that can't happen and the fridge won't be fixed until I defrost it. It was frozen in the back. It was repaired and two other times the same thing happened. When the warranty ran out, I gave up on having it fixed. It began to freeze all of vegetables and fruits. Also, anything liquid. I called Samsung Tuesday 5/02/2017. I was told that I would have to have a technician come out and assess the problem. I called again on 5/03/2017. I finally asked if I could send a letter or speak to someone who could authorize payment for the tech and the repairs. I was told that my appliance was out of warranty. I already knew that. Each time I had to take four hours off of work to be home for the repair. The icemaker has been replaced along with several other components at least three times. Each time it breaks within weeks and still does not work. Not only does it not produce ice properly, it also leaks water down the front of my stainless steel and now I have permanent stains in my stainless steel refrigerator. Not Appealing!
Purchasing this refrigerator has created significant financial loss for me and my family. Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator. In July of 2013, I bought a Samsung refrigerator with a five year service warranty. After a simple request to the sales person at Pacific Sales I just want a dependable refrigerator. No gimmicks. She recommended Samsung. At the time she sold me a Samsung, there were already class action suits against Samsung for defective refrigerator design. Within 3 years, the Samsung failed in numerous ways.
By the numbers: 3 months without a dependable refrigerator. 3 trips to Pacific Sales to gently request the manager to get capable repair people to fix my refrigerator. 4 trips by service people to fix noise, then ice build up, the condensation (a swamp at the bottom of the refrigerator). 36 F. temperature of the inside claimed on the Samsung refrigerator control panel. 54 F. actual temperature of the inside as assessed by commercial laser thermometer, and the last service technician.
It is one problem to manufacture a defective product and not stand behind it, as happened here. It is a much bigger problem to make a deceptive thermometer which made me believe that my 2 bouts of food poisoning in 3 months must have been my fault. It was Samsung's fault. You cannot believe how much food spoiled over the 3 months. Samsung made many thousands of defective refrigerators and refused to stand behind them, which prompted class action suits. Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator.

I bought the Samsung French Door Refrigerator RF28HFEDBWW/HDPP in 2014 and the ice maker hasn't worked right since. It started out that I researched refrigerators thoroughly before buying, went to Home Depot to order and thought everything was fine. They didn't tell me that the refrigerator I wanted didn't come in white, so they changed it to one that did. It was a completely different refrigerator! I didn't know this until my old broken one was on the truck and they started to install the new one. At that point I called Home Depot and they said, “We’ll return it.” I didn't have a refrigerator that worked, so against my better judgment I kept it thinking it's just a different color Samsung, it should be fine.
Within weeks we noticed the ice maker wasn't working correctly. It was dripping water, inside and outside down the door. We thought we weren't closing the doors correctly, so we just kept wiping up the spills. When I wiped the front of the door, the paint chipped off because water had gone under the paint, rusted the door, and created bubbles. At this point we also saw the ice was jamming in the tray, and we had to keep breaking up the ice.
To make a long story short, 3 years and at least 6 (soon to be 7) service calls later, the problem hasn't been fixed. We did buy the 5 year extended warranty from Home Depot, so thankfully all the parts, service and even a new refrigerator door have been covered. The problem is that 3 years later, it's still not fixed, and they have replaced everything that can be replaced. The last 2 service calls, were to document that there's nothing more that they can do, and they're insisting on another because they haven't documented things correctly.
To say I'm frustrated is an understatement. I'm disappointed in Samsung as a brand, and furious at Home Depot for the run around they've been giving me. I will continue to call and have them service this stupid refrigerator until I get a new one. I will keep jumping through their dang hoops, until I get a refrigerator that works, but I WILL NEVER purchase another Samsung or buy another large appliance from Home Depot.

So far we have had 4 repairs, 2 replacements of the ice maker unit, special sealant added all around the unit and STILL, the ice comes out slushy and the unit leaks water constantly. I contacted Samsung and, much like all the other complaints I have read, I was told how sorry they were, but that since my unit is over their warranty, nothing could be done. The Samsung representative stated they had no recalls nor were aware of any issues... I wonder if they check sites like this! We LOVE the unit since it is 28 cubic feet of great space. The fatal flaw is the ice-maker and I would tell anyone looking to not buy it unless you don't mind constant pulling of the ice machine unit to remove ice build-up or put up with constant calls for repairs...

Purchased the Samsung french door refrigerator RF263BEAEWW/AA at Home Depot, I also purchased for $150 through Asurion with their extended 3 year warranty on 11/2/14. Beginning on 7/29/16 the ice maker began freezing up thus it would not make ice. I called Home Depot’s Claim number to begin the first of many claims through Asurion. They sent out Ben F. Login & Sons for the repair on 7/29/17. They replaced I think the Auger, they did not leave me any invoice. Then on 12/26/16 the ice maker stopped making ice again. On 12/28/16 A Plus Appliance was sent out and they replaced the ice maker motor and Auger. The Ice Maker stopped making ice again on 1/30/17, so MD Appliance came out on 2/2/17, to repair it by using caulking around the ice maker and proceeded to defrost the ice build-up with a blow dryer then left.
Then the Ice Maker stopped making ice again on 4/1/17, so Residential Tech Services Inc. came out on 4/3/17 to verify this fact as per Asurion's Lemon Law policy. Which states clearly the fact: After Three (3) service repairs have been completed on and individual product for the same breakdown or component and that product requires a fourth (4) repair for the same breakdown or component, as determined by us, we will replace it at our discretion. Residential Tech did not conduct any repair.
Then I called the manager on 4/3/17 of Asurion because I read about all the complaints on these defective Samsung Refrigerator's only to be told that this ice maker had to break down 4 times with the same exact problem before they would consider replacement as per their Lemon Law Policy. I argued that I have had 4 repairs done. This Manager claims that the December's repair had a defective part thus this repair was combined with January's repair not counting towards the so-called 4th time as per their Lemon Law Policy!
Then I proceeded to make yet another appointment on 4/14/17, and Tekniton came out to replace the Ice Maker and Auger Motor. He found that on the back of this refrigerator was full of water and leaking inside to the bottom inside the deli drawer and icing up. I then had to schedule yet another repair which took place 4/24/17. Tekniton came out again to replace the Stelian replaced ice maker and auger motor, also repaired water leak, defrost sensor and assy cover evap-ref; Aw1-12 angle-shelf. This tech. found the ice maker was starting to freeze up again but it is still making ice.
I called the Insurance company Asurion and spoke with the service manager who told me that on the 4th time, and it must be the same issue that they would send out yet another tech to verify that is indeed the same issue as before and they would consider a refund, replace etc. He lied and told me that each part is under warranty for 60-days. Meaning if this issue happens again within that 60-day time frame it doesn't count towards the 4th time. This is not stated in their policy. He claimed that the December repair had a defective part so that was not counted towards the 4th time. I'm still stuck with this defective refrigerator and each tech that has come out have all said the same thing. The ice makers are a manufacturing defect and can't be repaired.
This refrigerator due to its constant leaking is a potential fire hazard! If I end up having food spoilage or a fire because of this I will sue! Never Ever buy any appliance through Home Depot as they use Asurion as their extended warranty company and they are liars and horrible to deal with. Despite the fact that you should never ever buy anything Samsung Appliances as they are all nicely designed but have known defects and they continue to sell those defective appliances to the public! We bought our 1st Samsung side-by-side fridge in late-2006. Just after the 1-yr warranty expired, the twin cooling system froze in the refrigerator side. Recommended appliance repairman literally took a knife to chip ice off of the equipment. Had to call a 2nd repairman who completed it but discovered the touch screen didn't work properly (again not covered by warranty). In 2014, bought a 2nd Samsung (4-door model). Had problem with touch screen but when repairman came, couldn't duplicate problem. Of course, after warranty expired, housing for water filter started leaving debris (white substance) in the filter & ice & water stopped. Repairman said housing was a faulty design & Samsung was working to correct the design. Then he said the touch screen wasn't working either.
After repeated calls to Samsung by me, the repairman & even my husband, the final conclusion from the manager was that they didn't have a record of the touch screen malfunctioning prior to warranty ending! So, like our 1st fridge (which we moved downstairs), we opted not to repair the touchscreen but did pay to replace the housing. This week I had repairman out for both fridges with identical problems as before. When filter housing was changed out in Sept-2015, it had not been redesigned. So... now $325 cost to repair housing & at least have confirmation it will be with redesigned part. Still leaving compromised touchscreen untouched. Cost to replace damaged parts on downstairs fridge = $505!
Now if I wasn't smart enough to learn my lesson, when our washer went out we read consumer reports that highly recommended the Samsung appliances. Purchased them, immediately had problems - fought with Samsung for weeks and finally went to Lowe's to let them know that their reputation was at stake because they sell Samsung products. Lowe's went above and beyond and graciously took care of my problems with my dryer. Since that time I have received a recall about the problem with the washer. Sorry for this long. Review but I've had more experience than I would like with Samsung and I do not believe in the quality nor their integrity. My advice to you - don't buy Samsung!

Where do we start. We purchased all new appliances for our home within the last 6 months. Within the first couple months a tech came to look at ice maker as wasn't working. Then we went away for Easter long weekend came home open fridge and it was filled with water and water dripping out. I opened the freezer at the bottom and all meat fish etc were all defrosted (frozen bananas were mush). Everything went straight into the garbage including items such as mayonnaise, etc with all the thawed out items also. What a waste of money.
We called the brick were we purchased and they were sending a tech. They said wouldn't be for about 2 days but then they were able to schedule on next morning. (Tuesday). I called Samsung also Tuesday morning, advised of what has happened as was told they do not have a replacement policy, only a repair policy. I advised fridge now smells and a Eileen advised not their problem!!! And no one will come in and clean it. She was very rude. Asked to speak to someone higher and was advised she is the highest I could go. Head office does not take calls. Advised has kids and needs a fridge asap. Again she said I would have to wait. Very rude again as I am a paying customer and when large expensive items are purchased they should last longer than 6 months.
When tech came he advised the compressor has gone. Part would need to be ordered and it looks like possibly next week before they can fix it. Unacceptable!!! Called Samsung again today. Again received very rude customer service and advised to bad. The fridge will not replaced and I will have to wait for someone to come repair it whenever they are available. No idea when. So I have a new broken down fridge and living out of a cooler with 3 kids trying to keep everything cold. What a joke... and also out over 300 in what was good food. I was passed around to 4 different people at Samsung customer service this morning.
When you buy a product there should be a policy when it breaks down. Why should I be inconvenient and have to not have a working fridge. Think twice with Samsung. I have done recent searching and was surprised of previous lawsuits against them with fridges and other appliances. People will continue to purchase these items. They get your money then you are not a customer anymore. You are a number.

I purchased Samsung French Door Counter Depth Refrigerator in November 2016 and had problems with the freezer drawer almost immediately. The drawer would not open completely unless you tugged on it multiple times so I contacted Samsung and was summarily dismissed by the first person with whom I came in contact. I was told by this person that the drawer only opens a few inches and that I would basically have to live with the situation. The second person I called tried to get me to be the service technician and suggested numerous things that I could do to try and remedy the problem. I told him that I did not have the time nor the inclination to play service technician and that since the unit was new I expected Samsung to send a technician to take care of the issue.
They sent someone from Service Quick who decided the drawer gasket was bad and it was allowing air into the freezer causing frost to build up on the rails thus preventing the drawer from opening completely. The gasket was replaced and the next day the drawer was just as bad as it had been prior to the service call. I made another call to Samsung and the second time two technicians arrived and they decided the rails were bad and replaced both rails. The following day the drawer was even worse than before and it was difficult to open and close. The third and final service call two technicians arrived and one tested the gasket for air leaks and the other used a steamer on just one of the rails (why only one I do not know). These idiots told me there were no air leaks but I needed to wipe the door gasket off at least once or twice a week!
Finally I contacted Samsung again and they wanted to send another technician from another company to assess the situation and I refused. I told them that since the refrigerator was new and they could not resolve the issue after three tries I wanted them to consider another way to resolve the matter. Samsung decided they would refund my money, however it has been two weeks since I provided them with the information they requested in order to process the refund and I have yet to get a response to my e-mail inquiring about the status of the matter. I decided to call the Samsung refund and exchanges department and was placed on hold for 45 minutes.
While I was on hold 6 PM rolled around and due to the fact that department closes at 6 PM a recorded message came on and said they could not take my call and that I should call back during regular business hours. We have many Samsung products in our household and, fortunately have never needed service on any of them, until the refrigerator. Now I have experienced the abysmal service from Samsung I will never recommend nor will I ever purchase another Samsung product! Samsung cares nothing about the customer as evidenced by the dismal service they provide. Now the first warm day in April it's already started again.
I have tried contacting their Samsung customer service line, which they told me it was out of warranty of course, I would be responsible for all charges. If it were possible to give zero stars I would do so. We paid nearly $2000 for this refrigerator less than 4 years ago. We got only 1 year of trouble-free use out of it. Right after the 1-year warranty expired the ice-maker started completely freezing over, making it unusable unless we manually defrosted it. Even though the unit was out of warranty Samsung agreed to repair it for free. Repairman came out, made the repair but said we WOULD have trouble with the unit again. Indeed, and sadly, his prediction was highly accurate as a year later we started having the exact same problem.
Now Samsung wants to charge us $525 to fix it AND they only offer a 90-day warranty. Samsung, they make cellphones that catch on fire and refrigerators that only work properly for a year. AVOID this company's products at all costs. They are not to be relied on. The government should do something about them but I'm not holding my breath waiting for that to happen.

We had the tech come in last month and after talking to some superiors over the phone half the time, said it was a thermostat issue. No spare on hand despite the fact that the symptoms were well described to the Samsung call in center over 2 calls of 30 mins each. Replaced a thermostat which he claimed was not meant for this model and guess what? Broke down in 1 month and had to call again.

Samsung Refrigerator RF28HFEDBBC/AA- This refrigerator has problems with the ice maker. Ice builds up on the interior of the ice maker and has to be cleared at least once a month. The ice comes out wet and the dispenser in the door leaks water continuously. There is also a problem with water leaking into the bottom of the refrigerator and then freezing so you cannot easily pull out your meat drawer. Samsung claims no issues with the unit but from what I see on the internet that is not accurate.
Attached is their response: "Thank you for contacting Samsung. I see that the ice maker is not freezing, and ice builds up at the top of the unit and cubes come out wet. Also, the water is leaking and filling the reservoir in the door. I know how bothering this issue could be. Samsung does strive to produce quality products and provide best service. However, your experience doesn't reflect this. Samsung products are designed by dedicated and skilled engineers after extensive technical research. We don't have any reported issues with this refrigerator model. It's disheartening to know that you are experiencing these issues. We don't like to see our customers unhappy or inconvenienced; however, Samsung provides 12 months of warranty from the date of purchase. If your refrigerator is out of warranty, you have to pay for the service.
"A service request was filed for this issue and it was cancelled, as there was no service center available in your area. Since your refrigerator is out of warranty, you may get it repaired locally at your discretion. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused." This is what I received from them. After a few follow up calls and being told they were waiting on the part the repairman came on March 14th. He replaced the compressor and the final test determined the unit was not holding pressure.
The repairman called Samsung while at our home. The repairman told Samsung that the unit was not repairable. After the 30 minute call we were informed by the repairman that we would receive a replacement refrigerator. We were given an exchange number ** and to expect a call from Samsung in the next day or so. We did not hear anything from Samsung so we called on March 18. At that time we were told the exchange process takes 12 business days and we would just have to wait.

The week prior we spent over 300.00 on groceries (including meat and seafood). Which if we could find the receipt we would submit to Samsung for reimbursement. But the receipt was nowhere to be found. March 23rd we called to follow up with the exchange process. We were told that we needed to supply a bill of sale for the exchange process. Purchased a Samsung RF263BEAESR/AA french door fridge. 09/21/12 started having issues with the refrigerator. Coils freezing causing the twin cooling fans to hit the ice and make loud noises. It woke me up and was so loud I thought someone was breaking into my house. Of course it was just after the warranty expired and I paid them approx $150 to come out replace a Defrost Sensor, Evaporator Cover, and Drain Kit. The service guy called Samsung and strongly said they should pay for the parts (I felt he knew there are ongoing issues with their fridges and felt bad for me) and they did (parts are cheap). The other issue was the ice maker. The unit is not sealed properly causing warm air from the fridge to enter the ice maker and it freezes up eventually ice can't dump in tray because of the ice build up.
They are now making the ice maker sealed up tight because my neighbor has a newer model which 1 year old and I took a peek, no ice build up. They used silicone seal yet one year later same problem so it must be coming in from rear and can't be fixed. I have been removing the ice box and taking a blow dryer once every 2 weeks to melt it. So, I called Samsung 04/07/17 and was trying to get parts to fix the twin cooling fan ice issues after watching YouTube videos and they couldn't give me part #'s. Referred me to www.samsungparts.com which is not their company but is approved to sell parts. I told Samsung, "I had just got off the phone with them and they gave me your # which is technical support (1.855.726.8721) now you're sending me back to them?"
I then told her my cooling fan issue, and ice maker issue, how upset and disappointed I was in their product, and that I have a fridge/freezer in my garage that is 16 yrs old and never had a service issue. She told me, "We can send a service technician to look at the issue and possibly replace it." I said, "You mean charge me?" She stated, "NO replace it???" I asked her if this was a late April Fools joke. She said, "NO..." I stated, "Does this have something to do with a class action lawsuit I have read about." She didn't answer, but did at the same time... So, I am waiting for the service company to call and schedule an appt. If they decide that the issues I told them are verified I may be getting a new fridge, which is a shocker.
The other thing I found out when talking to her she asked in regards to ice build up behind the twin cooling fans, "Were the white wheels to the front and bottom of your fridge touching the ground?" I stated, "Yes." She stated they should not be touching and the fridge needs to be raised tilting back and that when delivered they (Best Buy) should of leveled the refrigerator for me... So Best Buy didn't do it, and neither did the service tech I paid a $150 either. She sent me an e-mail showing a do it yourself How to Level the Refrigerator. So if you are having this issue check it out. May save you a service charge. To melt the ice you need to empty your fridge/freezer for at least 24 hours and tilt it back. May solve the problem. I am leaving mine alone for now hoping for a new fridge... Good Luck.

The microwave has failed twice, the refrigerator manufactured two years ago failed. Had to argue for weeks to get them to cover this repair, for about 2 months. Stove has a poor layout and pans do not fit on burners. Refrigerator has cheap parts that snap off, warp or do not close. DON'T BUY SAMSUNG. THEIR PRODUCTS REALLY SUCK FOR THE AMERICAN MARKET. In November 4, 2016 I called to question the ice cube maker not making cubed ice and having water come out with the ice. I did what they suggested but no help. Then started the paper and date trail. They did send someone to fix it in Dec. and said that it was out of warranty but would accommodate. The service company has been here 4 times and they are sending them out a 5th time but now say that the warranty starts from purchase date so even though I started this within the year it was in my possession this was the best they can do. Do they really only warranty from purchase date, why pay for their product until installed then?

After having for one year, the number buttons on the front became hard to work. Now we have 2 numbers that won't work at all. But of course they are telling me that they don't cover this under the warranty. What good it the microwave if you cannot program in the time to cook??
We also bought the induction range. I hope this holds up. We will never ever buy from Samsung again and will also advise all family and friends of our bad experience. We purchased this Samsung Refrigerator at Sears. It was one of the more expensive refrigerators in the store. We paid about $2500. It's junk from day one. Noisy. And the ice maker clogs and jams. And ice forms on the back and gets so noisy we can't stay in the same room as the machine. And when the Sears repair people come to fix it all they can say is that they are not very good machines, and "they don't make them liked they used to." The junk will be off the warranty soon. I think it's criminal that they don't recall the machine. Samsung stole $2500 from us and cost of many hours of not being able to use our house and having to stay home for the doctor to come, only to say it's a chronic & terminal condition. My husband and I purchased a Samsung 32 CF French Door Refrigerator with dual ice makers from Lowe's in 2013 for $2805.44. We also purchased the 4 year major appliance warranty for $1500. Since the first week the top ice maker builds ice condensation and freezes up so it can't dump ice. One ice maker is on top and through the door, the other in the bottom freezer. We called Lowe's and a repairman was sent who informed us that nothing could be done. Our mistake at that time was not telling Lowe's to come pick up their appliance and informing our credit card company (which was a Lowe's card) that we wanted to enter a dispute. The last 3 years I have had to endure my husband cussing as he used a hair blow dryer to defrost the ice maker.
Fast forward to today. Thought we would try again as we have 1 month left on the warranty. Lowe's sent out a contract appliance repair guy. Repair guy has seen this over and over, he says. He says there is no "fix" from Samsung. But we will go through the motions of pretend. Question #1 -- Why is there not a class action lawsuit on this product? Question #2 -- Why does Lowe's sell Samsung products when they are aware they are faulty to the point of no "fix"? Questions #3 -- Who is surprised that the Samsung CEO Jay Y. Lee has been arrested for corruption in South Korea? Question #4 -- With Samsung top loading washers EXPLODING, Samsung cell phones catching fire and burning up cars/homes/ people, and Samsung TVs allowing the CIA to eavesdrop on you even when TURNED OFF why would people want to buy any of their products? I'm not through with Lowe's or Samsung yet. It's on now like "Donkey Kong."

The ice dispenser quit working and paid $99 to have their repair company (Sears) look at it and tell me to fix everything it would take another $780 and they couldn't guarantee that would fix everything. Multiple times they were supposed to call back with "Executive Ticket Number" and didn't. Most frustrating and useless company I have ever dealt with. I bought a Samsung French Door refrigerator last August. It was model RF30HBEDBSR/AA, which was the largest model available. Price was $2553. I bought the Home Depot extended warranty with it (another $150). I had the refrigerator delivered in October to my new home. This is a very large refrigerator, with the Deli drawer and split upper door to access often used items. Features were great! Unfortunately, the quality wasn't. The ice maker didn't grind ice very small using the "crushed" mode. It put out a lot of untouched cubes with the crushed ice.
In January, I called and arranged to have the ice maker replaced under the warranty. However, at the same time I also reported that the plastic edges of two glass shelves had broken. I wanted to get them replaced as well. I was told by Samsung that the shelves were "cosmetic" items and not covered by their warranty. I was told that I could purchase new shelves through their website.
First - this refrigerator was only in use for three months at that time! Cosmetic or not, three months??? What kind of crap are they selling for $2,500+ that doesn't even last three months??? I checked the Warranty and it does exclude "cosmetic" items, though "cosmetic" isn't well defined, so it could cover a multitude of parts - BUYER BEWARE!!! Second - why would I want to buy parts that are of the same poor quality as what broke in less than three months? Why would I think they will last any longer than the original equipment that came with my refrigerator? So I called Home Depot, since I had also purchased their extended warranty. Their warranty is similarly worthless. They told me that they wouldn't cover items that Samsung wouldn't cover. So my Samsung days are over. I hope this review encourages others to find other brands to chose in lieu of Samsung.

No working fridge for 4 months and counting. I purchased the Samsung 22.3 Cu Ft counter deep Side-by-side refrigerator with thru the door ice and water - stainless steel. Model RS22HDHPNSR on March 21st, 2015. This fridge was to be the center piece of my kitchen renovation. It was my one big shiny splurge, costing me $2100. My fridge worked fine from March 2015 until November 2016, when it stopped compressing cold air. Since the parts were still under warranty Samsung agreed to have technicians from A&E electrical come to my home in Northern California SIX times over a period of FOUR months to replace the compressor, a 4-way valve and a "motherboard". They have also reduced the pressure on something and then the next time increased the pressure on that same part.
According to my calculations Samsung has paid over $1400 to fix my fridge, which is inefficient for this company and extremely frustrating and time-consuming for me. Each time a technician comes to my home they try to fix it and they can't. When a technician does come to my home it is not trivial. I have to take time away from work and wait for them to arrive over a 4 hour period (9 am to 1 pm or 1 pm to 5 pm). There have been two occasions when the technician had to reschedule because he had overbooked his schedule and one occasion when the technician just didn't turn up and didn't even call to reschedule. When the technician does actually turn up and has attempted to fix my fridge and failed, I immediately call Samsung and then have to explain my situation all over again. I then have to wait for another 2-3 weeks before a technician can come out again. And then the same thing happens all over again!
I'm at the point now where I have had the fridge finally deemed as unrepairable by a technician and have sent in my proof of purchase and the technician's report to executive customer services by email. I've also threatened to take legal action if I am not compensated immediately because 4 months without a fridge and two young boys is physically and mentally quite miserable. For me $2100 is just too much money to throw away so I have no choice but to keep fighting this corrupt company. I am very disappointed that Samsung customer service have threaded me along for so long.

Contact with Samsung was unhelpful. Because we were out of the 1 year warranty time period, there was nothing they were willing to do. I called a local so-called service person, Greg ** and he came and checked it. It had totally frosted over again. He defrosted and said he had to order the part. What he ordered was probably the most expensive part, the computer module. He returned and installed the new module at a cost of $423.73. 2 weeks later, same thing all over. He returned, rechecked and said it appeared to be functioning and there was nothing further he could do with it. At that time I went online and looked up the problem which was also a problem for others. Since it was the defrost that was not working I guessed that it must be the defrost coil or the temperature sensor.
I contacted Samsung and ordered an "Evaporator Assy, Refrig SMG" for $123.28 and a "Sensor, Temp F PX-41C TD" at a price of $13.82 (all plus taxes and shipping). I did not know in advance that the Evaporator Assy included a temp sensor. I replaced both the Evaporator Assy and the Temp sensor in Aug 2014 and the refrigerator has been working fine ever since. Had I known in advance I would have only purchased the temp sensor first at a cost of $13.82, that may have solved the problem.
My biggest complaint is that Greg **, so called service person, chose to replace the most expensive item first, especially since he admitted it was only trial and error and that he could not know exactly what the problem was. He charged $423.73 for something that he did not fix and I later had to fix it myself. I am not a service person and I was able to get the refrigerator working!

Works fantastic, except when you pay $2300 for a fridge with an ice-maker, one shouldn't have to purchase ice!
My mother-in-law has appliance guard from Black Hills and they came out and "fixed" it a couple months ago, and it froze over again (just received an email from her this morning). I feel terrible because we purchased this for her as a gift and bragged how much we loved it; that was before the problems. If anyone has a fix, please post the link here. There's been lots of theories, but I don't want to call out a repairman to temporarily "fix" what I can do with a blow dryer... ugghhh. Why no class-action lawsuit yet? The complaints are endless on their ice-makers, etc.
