Ice maker only worked for a few months. Poor design. Can’t be repaired (design flaw, warranty can’t fix as there is no fix). Class action suits filed over this and many other issues. Don’t buy a Samsung appliance!

I love the look of my Samsung refrigerator but the functionality is non existent. It doesn’t make ice. It freezes up. The main compartment doesn’t keep temperatures cool enough for safe food storage. Samsung has known about these design flaws and continues to sell product they know will fail. They don’t stand behind their product and calls are routed to a third party call center. I will never purchase another Samsung appliance.

Samsung refrigerators are horrible. I wouldn’t wish one upon my worst enemy. They have issued millions of dollars in refunds, they’re so bad. The ice makers are constantly freezing over and breaking down.

I moved into a new house about five years ago and it was stocked with Samsung appliances. First my stove caught fire within the first two years. My microwave has never officially worked correctly and now my refrigerator. My icemaker broke down within two years of purchase. The door shelves Have been tracking since the first year and breaking. One by one after five years I now have a zero shelves on my door. They are made of plastic only. When I price to get replacements they run almost $100 per shelf. And my icemaker has not worked in three years. So if you want a refrigerator that only last two years buy a Samsung. After that it’s all downhill and very very expensive to replace parts.

I would never recommend Samsung refrigerator. After a year I had no ice maker, I also had ice backup on the back of my refrigerator. Also the temperature gauge was off and my food started spoiling!!! Worst refrigerator ever!!! The customer service is horrible.

I have found that Samsung do not do anything with water well. The ice maker has broken 4 times in the past 4 years. It freezes over and you have to defrost everything... It still does work and we have to buy ice.

The ice maker leaks and we cannot find anyone in our area to look at it. I had 7 Samsung products and only 2 still work correctly - the stove and microwave. Washer drum bearings went out, dryer buttons don’t work, dishwasher has to be started 2-3-4 times and the ice maker leaks.

My Samsung refrigerator is an absolute nightmare. The refrigerator coils freeze-up with ice to the point where it stops the fan. I keep a thermometer inside to make sure the temp stays below 40 (I've had it reach 55°F before I knew about this design problem). I have to manually defrost 2-3 times a week. TERRIBLE FRIDGE!

My Samsung fridge started having problems in year 2. It is defective. The icemaker freezes up & stops producing ice, it doesn’t keep food at proper temps. Fridge back panel also freezes. Customer support is not good.

Our series model has a long history of consumer complaints on ice build up because of a faulty defrost design. We cannot fill the lower freezer beyond 50% capacity. The interior wall shelves and plastics easily break. The interior compartments are cheap.

I loved the look of the Samsung side by side when purchased in 2012. It had all of the nice features that I was looking for in a fridge. Ice maker, water in the door, glass shelves and very nice features. Well it stopped working again. This time the repair person replaced the ice maker. Last year it stopped working again. Of course it is out of warranty. Contacted Samsung and it was Oh Well it is out of warranty. Looking online I saw many people who filed a class action suit against Samsung Co. because of issues with the ice maker. Since mine is now older I could not be a part of the class action suit. All I know now is that I will never buy another Samsung product, nor will I suggest their products to anyone I know.

Purchased the refrigerator less than 7 months ago. Ice maker is no longer working and fridge temp keeps fluctuating causing food spoilage. Customer service was no help. They got my name wrong multiple times and even though I was explaining to them that my PHONE stopped making ice... Horrible.

Samsung has manufactured a defective refrigerator in 2009 (or later). They make you go through hoops to get your money back. The CS is trained to drain you hoping you’ll give up! Sadly since 6/19 they have issued over 3million In refunds for this fridge. Every penny of that has taken customers blood & sweat to get it! DON’T BUY SAMSUNG!!!

I have owned my refrigerator for 13 months. The ice maker in the refrigerator freezes up causing the machine to stop working. The temperature inside the refrigerator stays between 40 and 45 degrees causing food to spoil. Samsung is a difficult company to deal with and they do not stand behind their products. Buy the extended warranty!

It is true Counter-Depth which is very attractive. Easy to see/reach everything due to this design, and the French Doors. Easy use of freezer as it is a Drawer. The handles are large so easy to grasp and clean.

Our Samsung refrigerator doesn't maintain the proper, set temperature and the ice maker doesn't work. We lost hundreds of dollars in spoiled food. Samsung is fully aware of the design defect and won't take action to make things right.

The ice maker stopped working after 2 years. The refrigerator portion turned into a cooler...after 4 years. This was a $4,000 fridge. Currently working with Samsung for a refund. After doing much research I have found there is a known defect with their refrigerator. Also learned in my research....do not buy Samsung appliances.

Samsung warranty repair technicians have come to service my ice maker 4 times, once the ice maker was replaced, but didn't make a difference. The techs simply said there isn't a problem, even when I showed them the ice maker doesn't work! They are like robots and they would not document that they could not fix the refrigerator. I gave up calling them out. I hired two independent repair people and they came out and said it is unrepairable and a design flaw.

Never buy a Samsung. They are a lemon. You will always have to fix them and customer service is a joke. They don’t stand by their product. Warranty is also a joke. Samsung look is appealing but it will always have to be fixed. Buyer beware. You will have to put in a complaint to BBB to get them to do anything so I would recommend never buying a Samsung appliance ever.

The Icemaker has been replaced 3 times, and is broken again. The refrigerator is only 3 1/2 years old. As much as I have loved Samsung products, I am very disappointed in this Refrigerator. I would not recommend it to anyone.

I own a Samsung refrigerator and have had problems from day one. Plastic rolling bins break easily. Have been replaced twice. Broke again, no longer under warranty. Ice maker stopped working. Refrigerator stop cooling, they do not want to fix due to not being under warranty. Have had the fridge less then 5 years.

Samsung sells defective refrigerator that they know are bad but continues to sell them. Then you have to go through hell to just to trying to get service and it's only 2 years old. Been trying this for a year and a half now!

The fan in the refrigerator made a horrible noise. The ice maker stopped working within 2 years. Once we turned it off there was a lot of moisture in the fridge. The back inside had chunks of ice. The temperature was about 52. We threw out food often. To get this fixed would have cost too much money. Samsung does not stand behind this. We paid over $3,000 and, after 5 years, just bought a different refrigerator. We are so happy to have safe food now. And ice!

Known Defect with ice maker that broke in the first year. It was challenging to get Samsung to fix it and there are still problems after the fix. I have mold inside the fridge and inconsistent temperatures.

This SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR IS USELESS PERIOD! It has never worked correctly after the first week I purchased it. I have had it repaired twice. Now you can’t get it repaired due to being in court. I spent a lot of money on this and am very very disappointed in this product.

Don’t buy. Just don’t buy Samsung or regret having a broken unit every 90-120 days and then fight with their Office of the President over a refund that was offered as they change the value on you, if they even respond. Great looking unit when it worked. But that was only for a few months.

They sold units knowing they were a design problem and continue to sell them also they freeze up in air chamber and don’t cool and water leaks under meat drawer and molds ice maker froze when first bought and had to turn up temp to 5 degrees or water line would freeze. Yep a real piece of junk. #samsuck

Their refrigerator is defective, there is a class action lawsuit against them for this problem. This will be my 3rd repair in 4 months. Samsung doesn't care and will only offer partial refunds. They made me pay for repairs fully knowing the parts were defective.

Samsung refrigerator ice maker freezes up and has issues with temperature. This is a manufacturer's defect, a design defect, and Samsung sold the refrigerator knowing that it has recurring issues. There are several service bulletins about this and I'm aware of many complaints due to this defect. We have had issues with this fridge since purchasing due to this defective design flaw.

This was the first time I purchased an appliance online without actually seeing the product. It will also be the last. I was disappointed with the inside organization of this fridge. There could have been much better use of the door spaces. They are underutilized. The size of the auto fill pitcher is deceiving, the freezer is small. I looked at the distentions prior to purchase but they sure do look smaller in person. The size of this refrigerator is larger than the one it replaced but it holds far less because of the design. Very disappointed.
