I pointed out that my floor was slanted and she assured me that their installers could level the subfloor (I have her acknowledgment and apology in an email). Very happy with the installation of the carpet. From the sales appointment to the actual delivery National floors direct took care of us and was there for us in case we had questions. We choose a medium grade carpet that was beyond our expectation. Very happy overall.

From start to finish this has been my most pleasurable experience with home improvement to date. The in-home sales meeting was a delight...no pressure from the salesman at all. Installation was scheduled two weeks out and they were done in an hour! I will absolutely use NFD for the rest of my carpet needs.

My salesperson Patrick was awesome at explaining the install process & addressing any concerns I had with my current flooring. He was able to book me an install quickly & helped me set up for financing. The installers were extremely professional and showed up early to my house. They moved all the furniture that I had already cleared off and worked on each room, section by section, then they put the furniture back into the room. Overall, for 4 rooms (3 rooms carpet, 1 luxury vinyl) it was about a 10hr job. The rooms look fantastic! Would highly recommend National Floors Direct. I had just bought a new home and wanted new luxury vinyl flooring for my kitchen. After seeing ads on tv and researching many positive reviews online, I decided to call National Floors Direct. Not long after my call, a friendly representative went to my home to do measurements and give gave me my “free estimate” as mentioned. He helped me make my decision easy and quick! I was not in a rush to get my floors done immediately, so I arranged for them to be installed a few weeks after the estimate and contract were completed.

Overall, the sales process to installation was very good. We made an inquiry on their website and within a few minutes, had an appointment set up with a salesperson that was convenient for us. He came prepared with several samples that were appropriate for our basement and it was very easy to choose what we wanted, and at what we considered a very reasonable price for the carpet, pad and installation. Prior to the install, we received several notifications from NFD that enabled us to properly prepare for the day. The installers themselves were awesome - very nice and extremely professional. Overall, great company to work with and highly recommended. National Floors Direct provided us with an Amazon gift card to post an honest review - our pleasure to do so.

National Floors Direct was professional and courteous. The installers were hard working and careful with our things. Started off with a reschedule but, in this climate, that is understandable. They worked nonstop and got a huge job done in a day. Our hard woods and rugs look amazing. Well done!

I called National Direct for them to install carpet in bedroom and tile in my kitchen. They asked for my address and then asked if I owned my apartment. I said I rent. They said they are not insured to do rentals. I think that is really weird. They advertise like they are the best. If they do not do rentals why would you not make that clear in advertisement. Or is it possible that certain areas they will not do. I think this is bias.

The service provided by NFD was outstanding. The salesperson was professional, prompt and well educated on his product. He did a great job of walking me through all of my options to carpet the nursery for my newborn. His recommendations were spot along with his advice on color choice. This order was for one room. The installation of the carpets we purchased from National Floors Direct went very well. The carpets are beautiful. The salesman was very knowledgeable about the product we should choose. I am beyond pleased with the my installation. The wall through for the free estimate went great. The installation team showed up on time and took care of all the old carpet. Discarded it and moved all the furniture. Customer service was A1.

I’m thankful for the GC received for leaving this review. Overall we were satisfied with National Floors Direct. We did receive our 2nd choice carpet over our 1st choice, but in the end it was a happy mistake because we do like the carpet installed. We ordered Mystic and received Tradewind.

I had carpet installed on my stairs and in my main bedroom closet. My experience with National Floors Direct was great starting from the sales representative who was knowledgeable about the products and showed us samples based on what we wanted. Products that tailored what we were looking for were shown and recommended by the sales consultant. Installers arrived on time and cleaned up after the job. I was skeptical at first, but National Floors Direct delivered. The price was unbeatable and the floor looks great! The installers kept the area clean and did a beautiful job. The sales process was easy: a lovely and friendly woman came to our home. We showed her pictures of what we wanted. She went out to the truck and came back with samples. We chose. She offered us three prices, based on how fast we could decide. We came to a good price and timeframe. Installation was on-time and very well executed. a completely stress-free process and very handsome, durable, low-odor American made product.

National Floors Direct is a SCAM of a company! They have pushy salespeople who promise the earth and the company delivers NOTHING but poor quality products and service. Their pricing structure is a complete scam. They are never able to give a breakdown of material and labor costs. We had them install vinyl flooring on February 20, 2021. The flooring is all buckled, discolored and poor quality vinyl was installed - when we had paid for a "premium" vinyl to be installed!

We were sold a laminate floor that we were assured was compatible with area. Installers refused to install based on type of product and area. NFD said we have to sign a install and manufacturers warranty before they will install the product sold as compatible with warranties but now somehow not compatible. They also refused to provide a refund stating the product "is of no use to us"! Also refused to upgrade to a different product. I strongly recommend staying away from NFD and using local people you can trust.

DO NOT USE NATIONAL FLOORS DIRECT. We hired NFD to replace all the flooring in the common hallways of our condo building. The sales rep was excellent and we were very excited to get our new carpet and flooring in. We had just repainted and finished all of our walls, doors and molding so the new floors were the icing on the cake. The contractors were TERRIBLE and the company did nothing to help us. To start with the contractors caused extensive damage to our molding, door trim and banisters. They were literally standing on top of the banisters instead of using a rug. This is a residential banister and was NOT made to stand on. No had regard for our property. The job was supposed to last 2 days. The left half the stairs exposed with nail tracks going all the way around. Which is not ideal, especially when you have to carry your dogs down multiple flights.

Our Sale Representative visited our home at a time that was convenient for us which was a plus. When he arrived, he had several different choices of carpets for us in many designs and prices. We were able to select a carpet that we loved at a price that met our budget. We were able to again, schedule an installation date that met our needs. The two installers that were scheduled to install the carpet came right on time and they first checked with us to ensure we had the correct carpet.

I can't say enough about my experience with National Floors Direct. It was wonderful from beginning to end. I was able to get an appointment right away with an associate who was prompt, professional and didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. She was extremely patient with me as well. I needed an install asap due to a furniture delivery and they worked with me to get the old rug out and the new rug installed (with clean up) all before 9 am when the bed got delivered. Everything was seamless and I was always kept up to date with what was going on and when. I received a gift card for my time in posting this honest review but honestly I would have written it without one. I would highly recommend NFD to anyone looking for new flooring or carpet. I'll definitely have them back to my house in the future.

Updated on 02/26/2021: Still no contact from a manager after two requests. I did however receive an automated email offering to give me a $25.00 gift card for giving them a good review. Apparently they buy their good reviews by incentivizing people to write them. The email very specifically saying that if your review is negative that you don’t get the gift card.

I received a gift card for my time in posting this honest review. We selected National Floors to carpet our stairs that lead from first floor to second floor. Overall, the experience was positive, the intake call was easy and the appointment to have a salesperson come look at the job was made the next day. The salesperson was knowledgeable and brought samples for us to look at so we could make the right selection for our space. There was a 1 week wait for the carpet to be received, then they did the install. The installers were also very knowledgeable and professional, they gave me the option of standard vs California style stair wrapping. The job took about 2 hours total and the only downside is that we had to remind one of the installers to please wear their face mask, and the cleanup could have been a little improved.

I love my new basement carpet! National Floors Direct was so easy to work with. What I loved the most (besides how great my basement is now!) is that they bring the samples to you! During the time of COVID it is very hard to get out in public as I have high risk family members. The sales person and installers all took precautions and in the end I didn't have to wait until this pandemic is over!

From the moment I called Nation Floors Direct the customer service was outstanding. The scheduler got us in a very timely manner that was convenient for our schedules. They called before they came to confirm appointment. The sales associate was very knowledgeable about the products. Although he offered incentive to buy, he did not pressure us. There was nothing positive concerning our dealings with National Floors Direct. The salesman flat out lied to us in order to obtain the sale. He assured us that the floor preparation would be included in the price. When the contractors arrived they requested an additional $700.00 to do the floor prep.

NFD was amazing!!! I called for someone to come to my house with samples-they came on time and with multiple samples. The salesman was very knowledgeable on all products and did not rush my decision. He also got me discounts. Then I gave them a day that I wanted the install. They called that morning to let me know the time frame. They came during that time frame and even called me when they were 30 from coming to my house so I could be ready. The installers were amazing too. Neat-clean-careful. They did not mark up the walls taking out the old carpet or putting in the new and no mess was left. They even asked me where I wanted the furniture so I wouldn't have to move it back. STRONGLY RECOMMEND- one stop shop-easy and affordable!!

I had a great experience with National Floors Direct. I interviewed two other companies, and although they were about $500.00 cheaper I went with NFD. The quality of their product was much better. I need to replace carpet in our finished basement, in my office and in our walk-in closet. They removed and installed everything within one day! My fiance and I recently purchased a home and needed to install flooring. Our salesman was very friendly and knowledge so we ultimately decided to move forward with NFD. Once the installation was complete was found that the trim placed around the floor was stark white, unfinished and POORLY installed. This was NOT what we had agreed upon. In addition, our home was left an absolute MESS- saw dust EVERYWHERE and furniture not placed back. When I called customer service I was told, "This is how we install it- most people just paint the trim themselves, it's not that hard". The customer service is HORRENDOUS!!! The outcome was GOD AWFUL! All they want is your money! Don't believe the good reviews, it is simply a SHAM! Lesson learned, I can only hope this review saves anyone out there from experiencing what we went through. If I could add pictures on this review I absolutely would - NEGATIVE STARS IF POSSIBLE.

My husband and I reached out to National Floors Direct and immediately received top notch customer service. We were able to schedule an appointment for the next day and our salesman arrived 15 minutes into his 2 hour window. He walked us through everything and did not leave until he had a sale. I was very happy. The installer was on time, courteous and did what they had to do. Tore up the old and installed the new carpet. Returned everything back the way it was. The men work well together. They did not speak good English but they still were able to do a great job in a very good time. This is all I can say. Laminate is peeling in bedrooms, stairs or tread and risers were not sealed therefore have spaces to allow dirt or insects, etc to live, they look unfinished and wouldn't last, this is less than a year's work. We called to have the fix a step that was literally warped and when asked about the sealing was told my husband should seal them, what the heck??

The customer service was good when you could get someone in the phone. Install was solid. Floor looks great. I would of given 5 stars if the installers arrived a little earlier and were done earlier. I engaged National Floors Direct to replace the flooring in my daughter's kitchen and dining room. I had the estimate on Monday and the floor was installed on my choice of days, which was Thursday, so almost no wait. They were very competitive in their pricing and the flooring was installed, including the rip-out and clean-up, within four hours of the crews' arrival (which was early!). The crew was courteous, clean and careful in the home. The new flooring is beautiful and I am planning to invite National Flooring Direct back to give an estimate for the living room carpet next! When I first contacted National Floors Direct, I was not sure what to expect. I had received estimates from two other flooring services, but was not really satisfied with what they offered/had to say about what they could do. The experience was good, so I agreed to the terms. On installation day, the contractors arrived, and the work they did was exemplary. They exceeded my expectations, and that rarely happens. I would gladly use National Floors Direct again, and likely will in the future. As a bonus for reviewing their service, NFD sent me a $25 dollar amazon gift card. If the service had been poor, an angry review would have been the result. But for the experience I had, completing the survey was a no-brainer.

This was a very disappointing experience and we are stuck with a defective carpet. Our sales rep when selling us the product was very nice, passionate and made us believe that he was honest and selling a quality product. Once the carpet was installed it looked great. 5 days later there was a rip. I contacted National Floors Direct and they had me send a picture of the tear. I did. They contacted me and said the installer would be out to repair. Great!

National Floors Direct is running an awesome company! When the salesman came to my house he was very professional and courteous. Explained everything thoroughly and clearly. As I look back on this experience, I almost don't believe myself that it happened. I scheduled an in-house quote for December 31, 2020. The representative (Mike) arrived within the 2 hour window. From the very beginning, he was rude, condescending and disrespectful. When I asked for a business card he told me he didn't have any and would only tell me his first name. I also asked him several times to cover his face with the mask he had around his neck. Each time he ignored my request. After a long drawn out sales pitch which included telling us that there was next day or 1-2 days installation available. We told him we had to have installation within a week or 10 days. He then proceeded to show us numerous carpet samples and after picking our top 4 choices, he told us they weren't available "for a couple of weeks". He then showed us the one carpet with 4 different colors that were available for installation within our time frame.

We had put off replacing the carpet in the house we bought because we thought it would be a hassle. And expensive. We called a few places for quotes and National Floors Direct were def the company for us. They measured the rooms, showed us samples, and gave us the best price. The carpet was made in the US too, so no weird chemicals. The installation crew was clean and professional. The only regret we have is waiting so long to have our carpets replaced! Stop wasting time getting quotes from multiple flooring companies. National Floors Direct is the best hands down. The price, service, and speed cannot be beat. They automatically made my basement a more beautiful space to hang out in. The entire process was an extremely positive experience, they even made my wife happy. I've used National Floors Direct several times in different condos that I have owned. I keep coming back because they are so easy to work with. There are no insurmountable problems that I have found with other vendors. They come quickly and do a great job. I can't say enough about the installation team. This business is terrible. They ask for cash or check deposits so when they don't deliver what was agreed upon they leave the customer high and dry. On me they pulled a classic bait and switch where we agreed on a certain carpet for a specific price and on the date of delivery sent me an entirely different carpet. They refused to make things right and tried to strong arm me into accepting delivery of the incorrect carpet or incur additional cancellation fees. This place is a scam...Stay away.

The floor installers called me to let me know they would be arriving in 30 minutes. The two men were very polite when they arrived and explained what they would be doing. They showed me the flooring prior to installing to ensure it was the right floor. They were awesome In how they worked with me to sure my kittens stayed upstairs. Prior to leaving they went through each room to ensure they picked everything up as well as cleaned up. They went as far as to clean up the saw dust up from our side where they had been cutting the flooring. They did an amazing job. I am so pleased with how awesome the floors look.

We met with an experienced sales professional who continually slashed the price until we decided to purchase from them. The installers left the house a mess and were not able to complete the day because they forgot items like tape and our moldings. Our floors were left bare until they returned 4 days later with a different installer who told us everything would need to come up because of the subflooring and were going to charge us another $500. The first installer never said anything and was ready to install the floors. Their customer service reps are unable to handle any complaints and when asked to speak with another supervisor I was given an email address which was then forwarded back to customer service. Our floors are still unfinished with no end in sight. I never have written a review before but dealing with this company has been the worst experience.

Margret arrived at my home on time, introduced herself, and then she provided a background about the company. She measured for carpet and vinyl flooring and proceeded to show me samples. The salesperson came to my home during our scheduled time. I was originally looking for hardwood installation on my whole downstairs level (1200 sq. ft), but after the salesperson reviewed my floor, he advised that the tile in my kitchen area would need to be ripped up and it would be major construction. However, he told me that if I chose a laminate flooring they could go directly over the tile with no additional work or materials needed. After over-the-top sales pressure, I agreed to sign the contract provided they do the install within 2 weeks. I had just moved into my house and couldn't really unpack until the floors were done. In exchange for the rush install date of 9/12, I forfeited my right to cancel the order.

Horrible from start to finish. They took a check for my deposit and that was acceptable, but called me the day before the installation and told me I had to meet the two installers at the property with cash, that didn't feel so legit. I asked the installers to call me when they were close to being done so I could go see the work (rental property), they never did. They left carpet fibers all over the hallway and entry ways and left the condo unsecured when they left. 17 Months later and the carpet is rippling -- called them to repair it, "Sorry, the warranty has expired." What Carpet only lasts a year and a half? Would never use them again.

Experience was not entirely positive. I was not thrilled that I had to make a decision on the spot as I was still waiting for another quote which ended up being less than the quote from NFD. I did not get a response when I reached out to share my grievances regarding the quoting issue. Initially thought installers did a good job until I looked further. Lots of scrapes on door frame & heaters along the floor that were just painted as most people would paint before new carpet.

I purchase top quality carpet from NFD (order # **), paid a third in advance, and was supposed to have it installed on 11/24/2020 before the Thanksgiving Holiday. I was actually required to sign a document eliminating my rights to 3-day cancelation to have it installed on this date. As requested by NFD, I spent two days disassembling furniture and moving it around to allow access to three upstairs bedrooms. I took a day off from work, and the morning of the install I received a call that said "Your carpet was never put on the truck by the manufacturer and will not be installed today.” I requested an install for the next day and was told that would not happen as installation were already scheduled. I requested a refund and was told that wouldn't happen as the carpet was already purchased from the supplier, who by the way neglected to put it on the truck for delivery.

Everything went smoothly. The installer was quick, polite and efficient. They cleaned up afterward. The salesperson told us that the installers would move some furniture. The installer said that they don't do that. I'm glad we also ordered new sofas and had the old ones removed. That was my only negative. Everyone should be on same page.

On Sept 23 Joe from National Floors came to our just purchased condo. From all the ads we expected many samples and a productive discussion. Joe took 80 minutes to measure the 110 sq ft condo. His samples were shoddy and did not have one we liked. We couldn't get him to leave! My wife is ill. Joe kept calling "Larry" and each time the price dropped. The next day I emailed the VP sales, no response still. I have left messages about the awful experience. To this day no one has called. I have 3 other quotes that are lower than their lowest quote and they won't return my calls about their claim that the sales is free if they don't come in 16% lower. Stay away, not very reputable.

Who proceeded to ask my wife ”is there a mental capacity issue with understanding contracts”… Really who says that to a paying customer…. But We will talk about him later in this complaint. This is my first experience with National Floors Direct and their excellent in-home shopping experience. The knowledgeable salesman Gregg was helpful with suggestions and measuring. My daughter's rooms had a carpet that had been ruined by her loving pets, cat Jackson and dog Zoe. The resulting grey flooring will be so easy to keep clean and looks amazing. However after you make the order and give a check normally you have 3 days to decide in case you want to cancel which they don’t tell you. However you cannot contact anybody in consumer service about the order for 3 days. How convenient for them. They cashed the check in a day. Then after the 3 days they amazingly answer the phone and tell you that you Cannot cancel the order. They take your money and you cannot get it back. They think this is funny. We had a full staircase and 3 bedrooms carpeted. The foyer, hall and Master bedroom with vinyl flooring. We love it more than we thought! The workers were professional, friendly and very efficient! We were told it would take two days and it took 1! Thrilled with the whole experience and already referred two other home owners to you!

What a Difference a Year Makes! THREE NO SHOWS! I hired NFD last year and had an amazing experience, so when I needed more carpet installed I didn't hesitate to contact NFD. Wednesday (I had taken the day off), 1st appointment 1pm-3pm was cancelled @ 2:00 p.m. due to an emergency, no problem. Things happen, rescheduled for Friday 5pm-7Pm, when called to confirm, I was told that the appointment was changed to 7pm-9pm, okay fine, it's Friday no big deal. Friday comes 9:00 no-show, I HAD TO call the company and was told that the gentleman was running late and will be at my home 9:30-10:00 the latest! I told them forget it and no thank you. I was told a message would be left the following day.

Had carpet installed in 3 bedrooms. Price was very competitive and install went smooth and quickly. They did a great job cleaning up after they were done. The sales person Jose came to house and provided us with a quote. Jose was friendly knowledgeable, which made it easy to make a decision. Our experience with National Floors Direct was extremely positive. The Sales specialist we worked with was very knowledgeable and helped secure us a great deal on our flooring install. We installed ~1900 sq feet of luxury vinyl plank (redoing our entire first floor) and thought for sure that the install would take several days to complete. Our installers arrived when they said they would (on the day of install, within the window we were given) and went right to work on install. Much to our surprise, they ended up completing the entire install within one day (they worked ‪from 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM‬ after asking if it was okay to work past 5:00 PM). Our installers also went above and beyond to ensure a quality installation, moving our major appliances and toilet and cutting in under door frames/moldings in order to put flooring down underneath for a clean, polished look.

Updated on 09/24/2020: I FINALLY had my carpet installed after them telling me “they couldn’t get a hold of the installer” to “I’ll call you back” and never did. Being hung up on CONSTANTLY. They will completely scam you for money and always say “you signed a contract”. Before you decide to go with this scum of a company please go to www.bbb.org. They have been in trouble for their so called contract they are using to scam people. And the bull crap TONS of people went through with this company with losing their money or having to pay more money because they “didn’t have enough rug to install”. Thankfully on the website some people have gotten their money back but the next person might not. Again, AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!

I just had the carpet my bedroom replaced. The two contractors I worked with were very nice and friendly and completed my room in about two hours. They took apart my bed and put back together after installing the carpet. It was after they left as I was vacuuming the room to clean up the debris that I noticed the details and damage along the bottom frame of my room from pulling my old carpet up. There are long carved marks throughout probably from using the retractable knife. This was not there before so I am very disappointed. I just recently purchased my condo and everything is in brand new/excellent condition (I'm the first person to live in my unit). I was so excited to get new carpet. It's an investment and it's very disappointing to have something else in my room damaged in the process. In addition, there are two uneven spots in the carpet I believe are from the staples.

Professional and polite.. That is how I would describe EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE I had anything to do with. Also, I had received a quote from a big box store and for a little more money, I received a much higher quality rug.

I had my living, dining, and family room done including the staircase as well as the hallway. The sales rep came over and gave me the best pricing to rip up the existing carpet to put down the vinyl. When the installers came they did an outstanding job. It only took them one day to do all this work. I would definitely recommend National Floors Direct.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Your deposit is NOT refundable even if you stick to the terms and conditions of your contract. They run a scam with their "today only price" being the only affordable price they give you. We locked in that price by putting a deposit down. Salesman assured me that my deposit was fully refundable within 3 days and knew I had another quote coming the next day. Empire's quote was less than half of National Floors Direct. When I called to cancel they told me my installation date was less than 21 days away, deeming it a "rush order" and therefore my deposit was not refundable. This is NOWHERE in the 6 page contract I signed. Nor did I ask for a rush order.

On July 23, 2020 I had carpets done in 3 rooms. My living room and bedrooms. From the first appointment I was happy with the service. The person who come out was so nice and explained everything so I could understand it all. Was very patient and took his time with me trying to figure out which type of carpet would be great within my price range. When they guys came out to do them, they were great. They did all three rooms in less than 3 hrs and that’s including moving furniture in and out, removing the old carpets and installing the others. The cleanup they did after was immaculate. Would definitely recommend and use them again.

When they guarantee savings, they know of what they speak. We have used them multiple times and never even came close to having to find out if beating any competitor’s price by 15% is upheld because their price has always been more than 15% better than anyone else’s.

The last time we did anything flooring-wise in our home was years ago. I don’t even think shopping from the comfort of your own home was an option then. The selection on the website is amazing but the fact that a trained professional came to our home with samples after we decided what we thought we would like made the whole process so effortless and enjoyable.

The saleswoman came right to the house for the consultation, was extremely pleasant and informative, and we struck a deal immediately for a very reasonable price for a 1000 square ft condo. The installation took only a single day, and the job was done extremely well. We're convinced that a large reason we got such a good price for selling our condo was due to this company's work; these people are straight forward with their pricing & labor costs, and they provide a large amount of samples to choose from. I would definitely recommend National Floors direct. A section of the carpet in my living room got wrecked when my A/C was leaking during a heatwave and I was unaware. I didn't think I could really afford new flooring rather than getting new carpet, but I decided to get 3 different estimates for laminate hardwood anyway b/c I never wanted carpet to begin with when I bought my townhouse. I got estimates from a contractor, NFD, and Empire Today which their 'final' estimates to me were within $27 of each other (neither company knew what the other had quoted). I said no thanks to all 3 b/c the price was too high...

The installation team was prompt and courteous on the day of the installation. They showed great expertise when it came to installing beneath the doorways, letting me know ahead of time that the doors would need to be trimmed to fit over the thresholds. Alternative options were also discussed to prevent the need to trim the doors if necessary. Once the installation was complete, they left the site cleaner than they found it. I would highly recommend them for any future installations.

We used NFD to install carpet in our large finished basement. After getting quotes from several carpet stores and online competitors, we selected NDF for several reasons. The representative who came to our home was respectful, informative, and thorough. He also provided various options and didn’t try to push us toward more expensive options. He had samples available and gave us plenty of time to review and compare them. He was also very helpful when we had questions. I found the pricing to be better than all of the other estimates we had been given (total of 5).

We had to do the bathroom floors over again. It was distressing, but working with National Floors Direct wasn't. They made a rough job much easier to work through. They have ample designs and we were able to select the floors of our choice.

The guys were professional, punctual, and fast! I received a courtesy call a full half hour before arrival to make sure I was ready for them to start when they got to my home. They quickly removed the old carpet and padding and in under 2 hours had the new carpet installed perfectly. They moved furniture including a heavy china cabinet and nothing was damaged and everything was back in its proper place upon completion. Definitely worth every penny!
