National Floors Direct gave us a great price and made the installation process very easy. Their time arrived on the early side of the time window given, which was very convenient, and were in and out within two hours. We were shopping for new flooring and decided to go with National Floors Direct. We had our entire basement floor replaced and it was not an easy job. The old plank flooring was glued down which required prying up every piece and scraping the floor clean. We went with LVP for the new flooring and it looks fabulous! The team was very professional and completed the job in one day. They installed white quarter round around the baseboards, caulked and cleaned up after. The only thing to note is that you need to have a plumber remove and reinstall any sinks or toilets. Overall I’m pleased with how it turned out! National Floors did an amazing job installing the vinyl floor in my bathroom. It looks great and both the salesperson and contractors were friendly, patient, and willing to answer my many questions about my new bathroom floor. The gray is waterproof and adds luxury to an ordinary bathroom.

Looks like the best floor I could get for a reasonable price, looks great and will hold up to a lot of traffic. I like the white contrasting cove molding. Makes the floor stand out better. The floor looks clean and crisp. Shows the grain on it very well.. We are very happy on the way it looks in the pattern we selected. It really shows up nicely.

The installers were supposed to come between 7:30 am and 12 pm. I waited for them all day after calling customer service like 5 times and they kept saying they'll arrive within the hour. In the end, they came at 7 pm. Keep in mind I took a day off work to be there for them because their contract locks you into being there all day or they start to fine you. But did they install the carpet at 7? No! They just told me they'll need to do it the next morning and they promised to come first thing in the morning. They even called their manager and he also assured me that they will be there no longer than 9:30 am. So the next morning I call that manager at 8:50 am. and he tells me they're on their way and will be by me in 10 min.

I had carpet installed August 28, 22. After three canceled appointments. I had my living room and bedroom installed. Living room was done correctly. Bedroom has a very issues I call and the installers return to address the problem. They were not able to correct it. I was told that they were going to reach out to their manager and return. I have called customer service and Kimbra ** said they are not returning to address any issues. Their warranty is for 90 days if it’s not installed properly. This company is breaching their contract and they want cash payments or cashiers checks. Will not recommend NFD.

First I have to say Im receiving a $25 gift card for this review. Doesn't matter. If I wasn't completely happy with the carpet job I wouldn't give a good rating if they gave me the carpet for free. That said it was a pleasurable experience right from the start. The sales rep was really nice guy. No hard sale by any means which puts me right at ease. I have too much traffic to buy a less expensive carpet so we chose a higher end one. The communication was good with one hiccup. I didn't receive an email the day before for a more narrow arrival window. No big deal for me, I'm home all day. I called and got someone right away who straightened it out. The arrival window was 4 hours. A bit wide for me but again no big deal.

The contractors who came were running a bit behind schedule, so they were late, however they were professional and courteous and didn’t have an attitude. They reviewed the color of my flooring, the trim and what direction I wanted my flooring to be installed in which I thought was neat because I didn’t think I had a choice about that. When they were finished they walked through it all and when we asked for a bit extra caulking in particular places to prevent water seepage, as it was a bathroom, they were happy to do it, respectful and never complained even though it was late into the evening and I’m sure they were tired. This was an amazing experience from start to finish. Our NFD Salesman, Peter was friendly, prompt, informative and patient. He listened to all of our concerns and addressed them individually. Even though we didn't have a huge area we needed flooring done, we felt like we were treated the same way he would treat someone will a huge house flooring job. Updated on 06/26/2024: It was indeed localized damage done by their installers. But the company's response to my concerns is why the poorest rating that I would give to any company that I have ever dealt with. Then on top of this a year after they did installation of our rugs it seems to be bubbling up in several spots around the house. Of course the warranty had been voided by them (not that I would ever allow them back in my home). So we had to hire another carpet company to fix this as well.

Updated on 10/18/2023: Floors coming apart after 1 and half year. Call them up today and was told I only have a 90 day warranty. I would have to get a 3 party person to come out and get this fix. So all that I was saving by using this company is a scam because now I have to pay a 3 party to do the job over and correctly. This is not a good company.

First let me say that the floor was great but the trim was bad in spots. 3 men came on the first day only one spoke some English, that was OK but the second day only the two that could not speak English came, How do you communicate with them? They did their job and did a good job on the floor, but the trim was bad, large gaps filled with calking. The floor had rug on it and some places were undercut, and they just left them that way. I called and the office said that was my responsibility, they said it was in the contract. The salesman told me they would take care of all the trim. So make sure you get everything the salesman tells you in writing. Like I said they did do a good job on the floor.

Beware of company's misleading and unethical practices. Bait and switch. They are quick to sell you but then try to rip you off after you have paid a deposit. I entered a contract in good faith and they insisted on cash or a cashier's check before starting the job. The installers came out the day of job to survey the space again and confirm that the floor plan was correct. They took additional measurement's and then asked for balance before starting. I confirmed the balance and got a cashier's check. I gave them a cashier's check for the balance. He put the check into his wallet and THEN said we have to charge you MORE for moving furniture. I told him the space had been prepped for them as agreed and I would not be paying EXTRA.

After getting several estimates, I hired National Floors Direct to replace the carpeting on my stairs, upstairs hallway and bedroom. I am SO glad I did! We ordered approximately 600 square feet of 20 mil Armstrong vinyl flooring. The salesman was knowledgeable, thorough and professional. He measured and ordered all material accurately. Someone called me within 15mins to schedule when a sales rep could come to my house. That Wednesday the sales rep came and he arrived within the designated 2hr window and took measurements while I chose the floor color. He gave me multiple quotes based on different materials and I was able to schedule an install for that Saturday. The installers stayed all day until the job was finished. When I noticed a problem with the stair risers upon final inspection I told the installer and he returned the following week to fix the issue. I saw a commercial for National Floors Direct many time, but it wasn't until I tried the large commercial Home Repair Stores for estimates that I decided to call NFD. From the first call to the courteous Representative/Scheduler, they set my appointment and checked in with me up to the day before my estimator came out. The estimator came and did a thorough measurement, followed by a short video of NFD and the service and carpet options they provide. My estimator brought in quite a large selection of carpet styles to choose from. He called his Manager to ensure the carpet that we chose was in stock and to help us also get an additional discount. The estimator was excellent and I will request him again when we do additional carpeting in the near future.

We had a wonderful experience with National Floors Direct! Our sales person, Patrik, was professional and courteous. Our installer, Omar, was very talented and courteous also. He arrived on time, moved our heavy furniture, installed the carpet beautifully, replaced our furniture and cleaned up all debris. We couldn't have asked for more.

NFD is great! They were able to come out and measure on a day/time that worked for us. We found a carpet that was great quality and didn’t break the bank. And what’s best? The sales rep was great. The customer service was great. The installers were great. The policies on materials being out of stock or on back order are terrible, and shame on me for not actually reading the fine print. I’m not saying it’s their fault for not informing me, because in all fairness it’s written in there, but it’s extremely daunting trying to read over every detail in the moment.

I was very pleased with carpet installation and professionalism of the National Floors Direct organization. The carpet is of fine quality and I appreciated the support provided by Customer Service Associate (CSR) Raynelle as well as the Installer Associate Dwain. I appreciated that Dwain contacted me 40 minutes before his arrival to provide me preparation time before his install (5/27/22). I was also able to call and speak with CSR Raynelle to review NFD payment policy (where the process is that clients pay the installer prior to the install) for some additional questions prior to the install. She answered all my questions regarding NFD payment policies and indicated that she would call me the next day (5/28/22) just to see if I had any concerns with the install or any related questions.

National Floors Direct was professional from the start. We submitted online for a free estimate and we were immediately called and they showed up on time with samples and measured the rooms. The sales rep that came to the house was friendly and personable. The installation was smooth and they were quick and cleaned up. They had you do a walk through with them after. We are happy with the final result and are looking forward to seeing how well it holds up!

My experience with NFD exceeded my expectations. I am now ten days in after my install, and my floors look great. I see no stubble. The corners around my baseboards are clean and sealed. I will definitely use them again.

Found a much better price for oak flooring from box store which they advertise they will beat by 15% or it free is false advertising. I found it much less from a box store for the same wood quality, same specs that they claimed were not so they did not have to honor the tv ad. National Floors Direct is dishonest. Never will use this company for anything.

Frank **, the representative who came by for the consultation was extremely nice, knowledgeable, and didn’t pressure us on what kind of carpet to get at all, which was refreshing. He gave us all the options and made sure we were able to do a quick install, which was done about 3 days later. The workers were efficient, quick, quiet, and cleaned up after themselves. From the very beginning I felt like my time as a potential customer was valued. It showed when the salesmen arrived at my house on time and took careful measurements of every room in the house. Given that my first floor has weird angles, he went above and beyond by redoing his measurements multiple times to ensure that the contractors that would install the flooring would have enough material to get the job done in one day, and sure enough, they did.

I called National Floors Direct for vinyl plank flooring, which I needed installed as soon as possible. Within 48 hours I had a completely renovated living room, dining room and kitchen! The Managers & Corporate won’t even respond to you. Customer Service hangs up on you. Carpet padding, I paid for upgrade, still junk that fell apart when you touch it. The installers Broke my bed & didn’t tell me, I noticed days after they left. I wish I didn’t give them $100 tip & pizza, they didn’t even appreciate it. Also, they were in a rush to leave & I had to keep showing them the one spot it wasn’t correct, so he drilled it into the floor!!! It’s still not correct!

Updated on 05/22/2022: After I left a few reviews, I was contacted by the NFD. They have agreed to refund my deposit back, but asked me to sign their legal document, notarize it, email a copy, and send the original back to them. I cannot believe their request! They cashed my deposit the day after the salesman came to our house, and they are asking me to go through all the above steps for them to process my refund. Even after I go through all that, it could take up to 90 days until I get my money back! I have read other cases where some customers received their refund, but it took them almost three months. NFD must refund my deposit! It is not right, and it is not fair for them to request all that when they cashed my deposit the day after!

UPDATED 5/05/2022: What a horrible company with terrible customer service! I spoke with people named Kim and Alexia. They both were very rude and treated me, their customer, so badly. Alexia would not stop talking and when I tried to talk, she interrupted me so many times. She raised her voice to the point she almost yelled and screamed on the other line. Yesterday and today, I went through so much emotional turmoil and stress with this company. Both Kim and Alexia stressed me out so much and they didn't even try to listen. On 4/27/22, a salesperson, Mike came over to my house. After the measurement, he gave me the estimated cost. Of course, it was way too high. I said, I am not going to do the floor with that price. He said, "Wait, wait, wait. Watch what I can do for you" and he called "Regional Manager" three different times to bring down the price.

I worked with David and his team, starting with an in-home consultation. It was easy to schedule the first visit and David was very communicative on the day. I selected a great carpet that the team was able to install within one week. The installation team were lovely! They were on time, friendly, and very efficient. It's been exactly two weeks since we got new floors installed by National Floors Direct. We chose Mohawk Flooring/Coffee House Tan. From the moment they were installed I haven't been able to take my eyes off of them. They are perfect! The color, texture, finish and workmanship are such a delight to see. We've been taking photos of them and sharing with family on our Whatsapp groups, much to their delight and praise as well. The whole experience starting from the time Harry came home for a free in-home estimate to the time the workers finished the job and left - excellent! I filled out a form on a Saturday night, got a call back the next morning, and had someone give me an in-home estimate with carpet samples the following day! By Wednesday of that week the stairs I'd personally been putting off carpeting for so long were done! The guys who came by to install it were quick and courteous as well, and made sure to have me inspect the results. I was very pleased with their work. Got a quote from National Floors and in 2 weeks time, they came and installed it. It looks really good compared with what we had before (carpet). Certainly it gives our condo a modern look and we're pretty satisfied. It took a whole day to put it in the kitchen/hallway/guest bathroom and living room (~500 sq feet). I did receive an small incentive to take the time and post my honest review here but the whole experience was pleasant so definitely worth it.

We decided to install the new floor in our house. Jason **, the representative from National Floors Direct, came to our house on March 19, 2022 to provide us quotes. We explained him that we want to install vinyl floors on our first floor and hardwood on the second floor. During the estimations, we pointed to the spot in the bedroom under the carpet where the plywood level was higher. We asked Jason whether they can also fix it during installation. He told us that on such surface we cannot install hardwood, because the surface should be perfectly leveled. Then he told us that their installers will fix it during installation before installing the hardwood floors.

It was so easy to shop from home. The installers arrived on time and were very courteous and helpful. The basement rug looks amazing. They even helped move some small pieces of furniture. And there was no clean up! I highly recommend this company.

The customer representative who came out came out same day and was very knowledgeable. She assisted me in picking out exactly what I was looking for and in getting me the best deal possible. Scheduling had a few hiccups. I thought when they offered next day install at the time of purchase (but I was not ready and needed a week before scheduling) that they would only need a few days notice. When I called I was giving them up to 7 days notice, but they said it would be at least 2 weeks.

This was the 3rd time we used National Floors Direct. The salesman was great to work with and got right to the point with me when he knew I planned to buy from them. He was quick and efficient in making a deal with me. He was very honest about the quality of the different options. The installers made sure they were installing it as we wanted. First of all, the company pays you $25 for every good review you post, so please discount them all. Second of all, they make you pay cash or check for a reason. Harder to charge back when they scam you. Red flag, don't be so desperate for a deal like we were! We had a warranty claim that they strung us along for through a whole year (I let it go that long because of COVID) and once it hit one year they said my floor was out of warranty, they would not help me, then hung up. National Floors Direct called to inform me of the time the installers would arrive & they arrived in a timely fashion. Installers were courteous & professional. They had no problem moving furniture when ripping up my old tiles or installing the new ones. I was completely satisfied with the job, my floors came out beautiful as you can see. I had a very positive experience with National Floors Direct and the carpet that was installed in the first floor of my home. I've used other flooring installation companies and there are always problems. This time with NFD, I had respectful, non-scary installers who should up to my house on-time, brought a vacuum to clean up throughout the process and at the end, and the furniture in each room was moved without any damage. I would use them again and have recommended them to other family and friends.

The sales and installations team members were both very timely and professional. I was given many options of carpeting to choose from and I am very happy with the final installed product. Excellent job, on time and very professional people. My three rooms were done in a very professional way, they removed the furniture and did put them back the same way. They cleaned everything and left on a good note.

The carpet in our bedroom over the garage was installed by a “big box” home retailer approximately 18 years ago. Not long after the installation, “bubbles” formed, and the carpet began to “wrinkle”. We lived with this inferior installation until we recently decided to renovate the room. We solicited 3 quotes for carpet and decided to use National Floors Direct. NFD installed prefinished hardwood in our living room so we were familiar with their service and value. Further, as a repeat customer, we were afforded a discount and overall superior offer.

When we decided to install a new vinyl floor due to a flood several months previous, we were told by our salesperson, John "Jake" ** (very nice gentleman), that it is very customary to install a new vinyl floor over an old vinyl floor and it would be $3200 (an additional $1200 would have been incurred to rip the old floor up so I opted out). However, when the installers arrived, they said that it would not be in our best interest to do so as the floor was too soft and the new floor would be faulty in six months! I decided to go ahead and rip the old floor up (for $500 from NFD not 1200 as previously stated from salesperson). During the rip up of the floor, none of the furniture was covered, apparently the workers (also very nice gentleman) were not made aware by NFD that they needed to cover the furniture. When they ripped the floor up, the sub-floor started to come up with it!

Interested in replacing a floor in my 5x5 bathroom. After having a horrible, 2 week experience with Home Depot, I finally came onto Consumer Affairs for help. After reading reviews on a few floor companies and after chatting with Consumer Affairs rep online, I was quickly able to get an appointment with National Floors Direct.

Using National Floors Direct was a great experience. The estimate process was easy and samples were brought right to me. Pricing was great. Installation guys were great. They moved furniture and put it back correctly. They ripped up old stuff and replaced with new carpet. They were fast and The clean up was great. No mess! Highly recommend them!

National Floors Direct Buyer Beware. Beware of the salesman, installers, and company policies!! I was lied to every step of the way! Salesman looked at the room and said all will be removed at the price quoted. NOT TRUE. Installer charged to remove bed and mirrored bureau, first lie, gave delivery date not true, install damaged walls and said that they are not responsible for any damage. Installer said he would be right back and gave his number as he was going to have his company do the repairs. Again another lie, he just left never to come back, left his card with number not sure it is even real!! Install was terrible as the doorways are not finished and was told they do not do that and would have to hire a company to complete the install.

I had another great experience with National Floors Direct. Matt, the salesman is a great, professional, personable guy that cares more about the customer than the deal itself. He strives to work hard to help the customer get what they want. The install time was only a 2-3 week wait which isn’t bad at all. The installers were professional and considerate of our house which I respected very much. They were clean, worked quickly and conscious of our space. Great job overall and would hire again!

We previously used them for carpeting and figured that we would give them another shot on a bigger job. We love our vinyl plank flooring! They scheduled an estimate quickly, negotiated a fair price within our budget, and set up an appointment.
