Salesman arrived very pushy, selected flooring. Quoting price, it was way over other estimates. Lowered to where I was willing to spend. Salesman stated installers are not contracted installers; LIE. Installers arrived, Two brothers and one of their wives. I ask, "You contracted?" They said yes (verbal proof of lie). Installation went fine with few issues, they had to come back and fix after sending numerous pics. Other issue they use 1/2" molding, in bedroom it's fine but in the hall and stairwell it looks pathetic. Called and sent more pics, they said, "This is what you signed in the contract." Like I know about molding. Sales representative should of been more informative, so now after few arguments they're coming back to install 1/4 molding, that I had to purchase. Nice after spending 5k+... Go local neighborhood installers/company. These guys are scam artist, that use 3rd rate installers who I don't think they were legal to work.

I am happy to report that National Floors Direct has corrected my issues. I am pleased to do business with them. I spoke to the customer service manager Tom ** and he reviewed my issues and arranged for my refund, that will be processed by the end of the week.

    Original Review: July 31, 2017

I spend three hours with a very nice salesman four weeks ago, Who measured and remeasured my flooring space. He doubled checked all the measurements and checked three times with the headquarters before we agreed on my order. I was given an installation date of July 31, today. I called this morning to check on the delivery time, and to my surprise, my order was canceled and I was never informed. Apparently, the price I was quoted was too low and they never bothered to tell the customer, me. Now I'm waiting for another estimate or a phone. What kind of bait and switch company are you anyway? Really! Thank you for promptly cashing my deposit.

We were very pleased with our experience with National Floors Direct. The sales representative was knowledgeable and provided us with samples of the type of carpeting we wanted. We had previously gotten two quotes from local vendors, and National Floors Direct beat their prices as advertised, for the same carpeting. There was no question that we would go with NFD.

Since we were having four rooms, a hallway, and stairs carpeted, and the old carpeting had to be removed, we blocked two days for the installation. As promised, we received a phone call the night before giving us an arrival window of 9-12. The crew of three installers arrived at 9 a.m. and was completely finished by 4 p.m., having removed all the old padding and carpets, installing new padding and carpets in four rooms, a hallway and stairs, and returning our major furniture pieces to their locations. The crew had worked non-stop all day to complete the project, and there was no need for them to come a second day.

In summary, we were extremely pleased with sales, price, installation, and the finished product, and we are thoroughly enjoying our newly carpeted areas. The only small adjustment we made was to lift one threshold into the tiled bathroom and reposition it by 1/4 inch so the door would close without sticking. We highly recommend National Floors Direct.

I am SOOO incredibly unhappy with my experience with National Floors Direct, I can't even put it into words. Loved your salesman, until he was fired apparently. We are remodeling our home - removing old carpet, painting, and installing new carpet in one bedroom and hard flooring in the hallway, landing, and master bedroom. Had major issues scheduling the installation, had to have my bank call them in order to rectify the problem. Next, terribly shoddy installation! I realize installation is done by a third-party licensed contractor but the work directly reflects on NFD.

As you can clearly see by the photos, my installation was botched, to use a nice word. They nailed mismatched and unfinished quarter-round moulding onto my original, beautiful trim-board around the perimeter of the hard-flooring areas. Big gaps between the trim and flooring where I can actually touch the subfloor! I would GLADLY have paid more and had it done correctly and match my first floor flooring. Never would I recommend National Floors Direct - spend a few more dollars and get an experienced contractor, not a few hack jobs who can't speak English, who are probably receiving 1/8 of what we paid for the services. BUYER BEWARE!

I recently had new floor installed in my living room, hallway and master bedroom. I was promised a call the day prior to the install to confirm the install time; that did not occur. When I called that night to follow up, I was told I would need to call back the following day. When I did, I had to leave a message, and then was called back to abruptly be told the standard window of install was between 9-12.

The installers were nice, hard working and well mannered. Unfortunately it was a pretty large job for 2 people, and they worked well past 8pm that night without a break. As they were doing the final touches, the trim work that they did was less than quality, including crooked cuts and bad fits. They did not complete the job, and there was saw dust all over my front step because that is where they did all the cutting and didn't put down a tarp. We had to do the majority of the clean up. In addition, they failed to remove all the carpet as they were contracted to. I did follow up with the company and was told the work was within their standards. When I asked to speak to someone else besides the customer service rep, I was advised that I could not. I'm extremely dissatisfied with this company, and will not be using them again... which is too bad because I have 4 more bedrooms which require new floors. Please think twice before using them.

I contacted NFD regarding new carpet for our bedroom. Carol ** came out for an estimate and bragged about how much better quality and service NFD gives over Empire Today so we decided to proceed with them for the carpet install. While at my house, the installers brought me upstairs for a "problem". While they were moving the tack strips, they accidentally punctured a hole in the pipeline of my baseboard heat and water was seeping out...onto my new carpet no less! I got towels and they shoved them underneath the heater to absorb the leaking water. (A total of a few gallons drained into the bedroom so I had to keep replacing the towels for two days so that I wouldn't have a mold problem next.)

After the install was complete, I asked them who to speak with regarding this issue now that I need to contact a plumber to fix this mistake. They said, just call the main number and explain it and they will let their install department know as well. That very evening (Wed, May 31st 2017) I called and left a message about this issue with a person who said someone will call me back. No one did. I waited until Friday morning, called the company back, & spoke to a woman who was not pleasant. She immediately says "We aren't responsible for that. It's not our fault." I said, "You've got to be kidding me. Had I not gone with your company, I would not need to repair my pipe." After getting nowhere with her, she did say she would have a manager call me but that they don't get in until 9 am. (It was 8:30 am). I wait all day again and no one calls me.

I call the company at 4 pm and ask to speak with a manager. Tom ** answers and says he is a manager. I explain the situation yet again and he replies, "Oh I see you spoke with someone this morning and they told you we can't help you." This is unbelievable... I have never experienced such lack of ownership on a mistake that could have and should have been taken care of right away. After more discussion, Tom suggests that I take some pictures and send an email to the installation department to see if they'll "consider doing something about it since it was an install issue."

So yet again, I explain the entire situation over the weekend by email and send them pictures as they requested and even copy in my sales person and no one has responded! This company should not be in business if this is how they treat their customers! I calmly explained the situation 4 times and am appalled that I've gotten no response from them. How can you not be accountable for making this mistake? I understand that my trim needs to be repainted after a carpet install, but I think some type of credit is due for the water leak that was caused and no one will even call me back, apologize, or try to make this right and it has been one week now.

Thur 3/9 single, older gentleman carpet installer arrives at 7:55 and leaves at 11am (he was 1 of the 4 Original installers from 3/8). I called "Natalie" as he was driving away shortly after 11am 3/9. Per her request, I sent emails & pictures at 12:17. Then waited all day for a call - for resolution. At least a response, an email.. I got nothing!!! I finally called Natalie back at 3pm on Thur 3/9 for an update. I noted I need the second job of vinyl planks installed Saturday 3/11 (was contracted to be done a one day install on 3/9!!) but need rugs resolved today 3/9 or Friday 3/10 so the vinyl installer can complete his contracted work. I am told a crew will come Fri 3/10 & inspect it and do what they can to correct or determine if it needs to be pulled up & reinstalled. Also she assured me they will clean the mess left throughout the entire area. No one ever vacuumed up or cleaned up after install on either day 3/8 or 3/9.

She would confirm if vinyl could be installed sat 3/11. (I already paid 600.00 deposit for the 3/9 one-day vinyl install) and let me know. I spoke with the vinyl hard surface installer and he confirmed he will be there 8am Saturday. He already has all my materials that he picked up the morning of 3/9 when he was supposed to install. I have a money order bank check for 1030. To pay the vinyl installer. NFD require payments in full upfront before they walk in the door. I had paid a 550 deposit for the carpets and 1289 money order was given to the carpet crew on 3/8 outside before they would come in and start the job (should have been a red flag then!).

I told Natalie to cancel the 3/29-3/30 hardwood installation and refund my 1000.00 deposit on that 3rd project until we get past these first 2 installs. She told me, "I can't cancel". I will lose my 1000 Deposit per contract. Period!!! I told her they have already broken contracts one and two! Noting they have full pay for the carpet and a 600.00 deposit for the vinyl install that could not be done as contracted on 3/9 because their carpet installation was still not complete! Additionally they have 1000$ for the HW 3/29-3/30 install. In total they have over 3400 of my money! 2150 Capital One deposits for 3 installation jobs and money order 1289 given on 3/8 for balance of carpet install. She tells me I can postpone but cannot cancel - will lose all deposits! Non-refundable!

They broke their first 2 contracts with me! (I'm begging for a resolution!!!). I lost a total of 4 days work 3/08-3/1. They damaged my son's leather sofa that was in perfect condition prior to this!! They completely botched my rug installation. They never cleaned up either day leaving debris, trash, nails and more. My son was displaced almost 2 weeks (3/6 to 3/19) waiting for a response from NFD (which did not come until I called them again! On 3/16.). Then rushing to buy & install the vinyl plank floors with my husband so they could move it and empty out my main level of my house! The plan was move everything up to my house 3/6. Rug and floors installed 3/8 & 3/9. Move everything back 3/10 before the girls arrived!! I borrowed 2 air mattresses, bought one air mattress and ordered platters of food! Money I did not have or plan to spend! A total of 12 college kids from RI came home 3/10 before their 6am spring break flight out 3/11.

16 for dinner (with my family of 4). 9 girls stayed at my house. 3 stayed another home- we had no more room! We had little access to my kitchen! No access to my dining room & little to no access to the basement. Full of trash, debris and nails. No furniture - no bedroom setup - no comfortable place for most of them to sleep! I took 3/17 off. My husband took 2 days off work!!! And we spent the weekend learning how to install luxe vinyl planks then buying them and installing them (with help from a friend who has installed these before!) again, not something we were planning or prepared to do! But my son & fish. They told me because I canceled my 2150 deposit on my CC I lost all rights to any resolution. Told me not to call again! Case closed!

I then listened to how everything was my fault. Over and over she read from the contract, doing all she could not to address the serious issues at hand. Told me damage to my son's sofa was not covered, my fault for allowing them to put radiator metal covers on the couch? They had several open areas over 700 sq. feet they could have laid them down? They chose a leather couch? My fault?? I was trying my very best to just ignore the poor CS & and get this resolved before I call my credit card company or lawyer - but getting harder by the minute! After I called Natalie at 3 pm on 3/9 I sent a follow up email to Natalie to document this conversation.

I was reviewing a lot of floor companies, I came across several. I, like you are now, seeing what people felt about the service they provide. Well I was told there were people all over the world so you can't really count all. Okay so I did, I hired them, Well don't do it, it is kind of like lighting a cigarette thinking getting cancer is not going to happen to me. The floors are not in correctly. I called, they told me I need to send pictures. I told them I don't have a camera. After I sent a letter threatening to call Turn To Ten they sent their own worker who took pictures on the 9th of March. Still no answer even though I called! They keep saying they are trying to get their field installer. Well how come it doesn't take that long when you schedule a sales call!?! Well like I said, don't trust them. I did! I also see their ad. 3 floors for 888.00, I ended up paying 5,000,00 for four rooms right before I saw that commercial.

Updated on 09/29/2017: My floors have also now warped in several other places. When I told them about the damage to my floors they told me that they could not fix them unless I take the complaint off of here (as I see many others on here have been) and also have to pay $169.00 a foot to fix. They had also damaged my door when they took out the rugs. The bottom of it in several places peeled up and was removed.

When I called the lady said, "We don't fix doors. Read number 12 on the contract." Well after I hung up and did. That is only for the door not leveling afterwards. At the time of sales, I was told by the salesperson, Brian **, that I was not going to be charged any interest. Not to worry about it, they would pay for it. Of course, stupid as I am, I believed them!! Well just looking at my monthly statement from the bank, I am being charged. I should have had it in writing! But God Almighty knows what they did!! So in addition to the rip-off price of 5,000.00 for 4 rooms of flooring, I am going to be charged 9.99% APR interest!! Ask the Lord ahead of time before you are screwed like I was!!!

I agreed to rip up carpet and furniture to save time and money. Gave salesman a deposit.

A week later salesman calls me and says he made a mistake and didn't measure bedroom (I walked with him during measurements) so that was a stupid thing to say. He said he needed to remeasure and raise the price. I said no and have a contract. He waited a week to tell me this which is past the 3 day cancellation policy. We ended conversation on a bad note and a couple days later customer service called to say they couldn't honor contract and would refund my deposit in 30 days. I am left with rooms of ripped up carpeting, no flooring install and less money that I need for a new vendor. This company is a scammer and I would never ever do business with them. A salesman arrived at my house promising me the world. I had a quote and a carpet from Home Depot for a 24 oz carpet. His quote was twice as much but it was for a 42oz carpet and he could get it installed in two days. No problem he says... We set everything up with him understanding that I had a hard deadline. Miraculously, the day before the carpet was to be installed, I get a call from NFD telling me that a sprinkler system destroyed the carpet I chose and I would have to choose a different one. I called the salesman who told me that the carpet was stuck on a truck somewhere and wasn't in stock (not sure who to believe). He then texted me a sample of a rug that he could replace it with for the same price. It appeared to be of much lower quality. I asked him if it was the same weight as the one I purchased. He never responded. To this day he hasn't responded or picked up the phone when I have called.

I began to get texts from the factory (that were initiated by the woman who told me that the other carpet was ruined by sprinklers). I asked these people if the carpets were 42 oz. They said they were 33oz and that was what was on the slip they received. The salesman (Brian ** of Avon, MA) sold me 42 oz carpet and apparently put in an order for 33 oz carpet. I was told by the person who was texting me that this carpet was of better quality than what the salesman sold me. She needed a response immediately or she wouldn't be able to get the order in. I was desperate due to my deadline so I approved the order. I needed the carpets installed by a certain date.

When they arrived and I felt the carpet, I was disgusted. It felt like a piece or cardboard. Not even close to what I had felt when the salesman was here. I tried calling him again, to no avail. I got another confirmation call from the NFD girl, so I took that opportunity to tell her this whole story. She claimed she understood, apologized profusely, and told me that her manager would call me as soon as she arrived in the office that day. That was 5 days ago. I have not heard a peep from the Manager, I have not heard a peep from the salesman. In addition to all this, the salesman's measurements for my runner were incorrect so the two levels are uneven. Also, they initially bound the runner without cutting it to size first so that the installers (who were the only refreshing part of the process) had to jump through hoops, get the runners back to the factory, and come back first thing the following morning to finish the install.

Long story short, the installers were excellent, the factory was barely adequate, the NFD home office was disappointing and their salesman, Brian **, was absolutely disgusting and in my opinion, criminal. To recap, I was sold a 42 oz carpet and received something that feels no heavier than 24oz. I was told by one person that the carpet I bought was ruined by sprinklers and told by another then it was stuck in a truck somewhere. When I pressed the salesman for an answer on replacement rug quality, he went silent (he was well aware of the fact that I needed my carpets installed by a specific date and was between a rock and a hard place). The carpet that arrived felt to be the same weight as the Home Depot carpet sample that I had and I paid for a carpet almost twice the weight. The salesman measured my runners incorrectly so now I have uneven carpet on one level vs the next.

I was told I would receive a call from a manager to address my concerns and that call never came (you can't get to a specific person at NFD. You get a call center). In addition to the measurements being wrong, the factory didn't even cut the runners to the salesman's measurements and sent them outbound and bigger than my steps. It took a triage effort by the installers to get them in the next morning before my deadline. Salesman Brian ** remains M.I.A. 5 days later. I am sure that I will never hear from him again. Can't help but feel I was a victim of some kind of bait and switch campaign. I hope I am wrong.

Now they tell me if I read the contract it states that they don't cover that. I should have known when they only take cash or bank check. When I questioned why I would have to pay cash in case something went wrong. They said "just note it on your receipt and we will fix it". Which is what I did. I noted it on my receipt. Now I have no recourse. Worst company I ever dealt with. My salesman John was awesome. If not for him I never would have went with the company. Hopefully he has the sense to leave that awful company!!!

We had laminate flooring installed on January 31, 2017 in our very large bedroom. The installers were very courteous and moved right along. After completion we looked around the room and didn't notice any problems, but once we started putting our items back in our room we noticed buckling here and there throughout the floor and damage to our bed that they had moved.

We immediately called NFD main number and also our sales representative, Shannon. Our sales representative never called us back and we have called every day since the installation. The female that answered the main number was very dry and stated that it states on the contract that they aren't responsible for damage to our furniture. Unfortunately it was an area that our sales rep didn't cover with us and it was on the back side of a form that we signed off on (font size is at least 2 sizes smaller). We then asked when they could come out and fix the problem. She set something up for that Thursday.

The installers returned on time on Thursday. They stated that the product was junk and not top of the line like they said it was. They also said that they had problems with the tongue and grove clicking together properly. We immediately got on the phone with the main office to tell her what they had said. She said she needed to speak with the installers first before doing anything.

Fortunately the installers were still at our house and got on the phone right away. We stayed on the phone as well to hear what was being said. The installers just about stated what was wrong before the girl on the phone could say "Oh Ok manufacturers defect!" She called us later that day and said that they would order new flooring and it should be in within a week.

Before leaving the installers gave us one of the planks and the paperwork with the name on it so we could do some research. Since then we have reached out to two contractors and went to Home Depot. All three said that the floor is NOT top quality and that we paid too much. They also said that because of the cheap quality there will be many problems down the road. The type of floor that was installed will also have problems if they didn't level the floor before installing and guess what they didn't level the floor. All three individuals said that they wouldn't have a problem coming forth to speak with NFD on our behalf.

We are not comfortable with them coming back to redo the whole floor. We will have to miss more time from work. If the installers knew that it was poor quality and/or defective they shouldn't have installed it. If we would have known that if they wouldn't be responsible for damage to our furniture, we wouldn't have let them move it. Each one was blaming the other - installers saying it was defective and cheap product and NFD saying the installers shouldn't have installed it if they knew it was defective.

No one has called to apologize or asked what they could do for us. Most of all we are quite disappointed with our sales rep. She spoke so highly about the company. She said that this was top quality materials that you couldn't get at our local hardware store. She said the two owners stood by their products and provided topnotch customer service. No one seems to care!!

These guys do not leave any sample. Beware! The installers were great, however, the communication and implementation process is horrible. They asked for the check before the carpet was installed. They received it. They removed my carpet and cleaned the floor quite nicely. Good. Then the carpet was unrolled. We saw it and I said to the installers that I thought the carpet color was off color and asked for a sample. They had none. My furniture was moved into the kitchen, so I reluctantly had the carpet installed. I called the company several times to tell them what happened. After repeatedly being treated badly and ignored, they told me if I too bad and if I wanted them to come out to see it, it would cost $150.00. When the contractors actually came, none of this was communicated to them. The incredibly rude customer service rep Cynthia told me to buy a new vacuum cleaner with a better ball and brush and the problem would fix itself. I asked her to have a manager call and she said too bad for me as the claim was denied and see if the manufacturer could help me with this issue.

I am hoping a company that puts a warranty like that on a product would like to help resolve this problem. The reason I am complaining is I had new carpets installed and at a spiral staircase which was supposed to be completely recarpeted. They chose to leave the old carpet in place. They had a few reason why. First the railing was too tight, then they ran out of carpet which was a lie, I just saw them carry some out. Then there are scratches and scruffs they left on the brand new maple hardwood floor when they installed it and now they will not return my call. I never recommend this company ever.

First, I must say that I am extremely satisfied with the sales representative, the price, and the product. The installation teams were great and made no mistakes. I got 95 yards of carpet and a 10 X 12 area of vinyl plank flooring. That said, the scheduling people (located in NY) were rude, lied to me several times on the phone, and caused a huge disruption in my schedule. Once they got their money, it seemed that they were not concerned about my satisfaction with the scheduling process or installation.

I was hoping you could tell me who I can complain to regarding the installation schedulers. I am having a terrible time with them. As you know, when you were at the house, we scheduled two crews for this past Saturday. When the scheduler called to confirm the day before (Friday), she said we would receive a call the next morning between 8:30-9am to give us an arrival time. Instead of a call from her the next morning, we got a call from the installers at 7:30am saying that they were outside the house (we were 15 min away, luckily, but were not home). My husband rushed over there, the carpet got installed, the guys did a great job, no problems on that front.

After 10am, I called the scheduler to confirm the second crew, which at that time I was told would be arriving between 12-4. At around 2:30, she called and told me that the second crew would be unable to install the vinyl that day, as they were going to be at their other location until late that evening. I was upset, since we had confirmed the timetable and my husband and I both had to work during the week. I agreed to have them come Tuesday after 3pm (with emphasis on after 3pm so I could get out of work a little early and make it there on time).

Yesterday, Tuesday, I left work early and got there, but since I hadn't heard from them I called to confirm. The scheduler said that she had me down for Wednesday after 3pm not Tuesday (This is a lie. I wrote it down on Saturday as I spoke with the scheduler). I again was upset but said that I would see them the next day (today). The scheduler (not the same one - possibly different ones every time) called at 8am this morning and confirmed - specifically saying AFTER 3PM. I agreed.

Then, at 12:40, she calls saying that they are at my house and no one is there. I said that the agreement was for after 3pm. She tells me that they never promise times or stops (another lie - two of them DID promise after 3pm and one of them was this morning)! She told me that the installers would not wait there until 3pm and would have to reschedule AGAIN. I asked to speak to her supervisor, at which point she said she IS the supervisor (so she has no boss??) and she said she could just CANCEL MY ORDER. What? I can't believe anyone would do business this way when a customer is spending over $6,000.

So supposedly they are coming tomorrow (Thursday after 12pm). Quite honestly, even though we had a great experience with you and the guys who installed the carpet portion of our order, these scheduling issues will make it unlikely that I will order from your company again. Of course they have not offered any compensation for me leaving work and now making arrangements 3 different days to be home during the time we agreed to.

The next day: The scheduler called to confirm that the installer would be there after 12pm. At 4pm, I called to ask if he was still coming. I was told that she would find out where he was and call me back. After an hour, when she hadn't called me back, my husband called and she told him that the installer was ON THE WAY to my house (this turned out to be a lie). The installer called at 6:30pm (after my husband took the entire day off to be there at noon) to say he couldn't make it because he was far away and wasn't done with the job he was on. He asked if he could come tomorrow (Friday) at 8am. So I'm taking tomorrow off and Erik took today off for nothing. No one in charge emailed me or contacted me regarding my email.

We are planning to do the 3 bathrooms, foyer, and laundry room at some point but won't be going with this company again. So crazy how a great customer service experience can turn terrible so quickly. The carpet installers and you were great. The schedulers are rude, unapologetic, and unprofessional. They act like there aren't choices when there are plenty of other companies to get flooring from that don't act like its a privilege to give them your money. I guess our time isn't worth anything since we honored our promise to be home all of these times that they promised they would be here and didn't show up. Erik doesn't get his day off back. Honestly if the movers weren't coming Saturday I would have cancelled. I'll let you know if it finally gets installed.

End result: The second team finally arrived the next morning at 8am and did a great job installing our vinyl plan flooring. This was 6 days after what was promised. I am shocked that the owner nor the district manager did not contact me to follow up. Because of this, though the sales rep was great and so is the product, I will not be using this company for my future flooring needs.

I figured he would be a normal sales guy who was being pushy AS WE HAD DEALT WITH IN THE PAST, but she said afterwards he was very nice and asked repeatedly if he should just wait to come in until I got home from work which she liked. He helped us in choosing a really nice hardwood floor. The installers came within a week which we thought was amazing as our past experiences with other shop at home companies had not been too good. He was very patient in discussing each type of flooring we expressed a possible interest in. He displayed and described samples at all levels, not simply pushing the highest priced materials since we had told him our budget was limited. I had estimates from Empire Carpet and Luna Carpet. They don't tell you in the ads but it turns out they are actually the same company! What a scam. Anyway they both spent half their time bashing National Floors Direct. They told me a whole list of reasons not to use National. By the time I had the 2nd appointment, I had enough. I decided to cancel National's appointment and buy from Luna. They talked a good game. I put down a deposit and booked the install for 3 weeks out - their earliest date. Day of install, no show, no call. I called and waited on hold for an hour and they wouldn't let me cancel.

I called National Floors Direct back. The salesperson came out the next day. They beat the Luna price on the spot and installed the next day! I saved almost $1000 on the job and the carpet in my house looks amazing. The morale: DON'T BELIEVE SALESPEOPLE WHO SPEND MORE TIME BASHING THEIR COMPETITION THAN SELLING THEIR COMPANY! I am not sure where I should start. When I first set up an appointment for them to come out and look at what they were going to do they sent me a reminder phone call letting me know that on Saturday they would be arriving at the home between the hours of 9 and 12 and would give me a phone call 30 minutes prior to the salesman arriving. None of those things ever happened. I called back the next day and told them that no one showed up. They apologized but still happened to blame it on me saying "that no one was home", go figure.

Once I got their absurd pricing I showed them other estimates I had gotten that were way cheaper than them. The salesman said he had to call his VP of sales who was a complete waste of time. He shot down everything that was on the estimate as to being a cheaper quality. I then told him match the so called cheaper quality and beat the price. The VP of sales then said "we match real estimates not fake estimates like the ones you provided." Mind you that one estimate was from The Home Depot and another was from Carpet Plus a small business from Watertown, CT.

National Floors Direct are the so called guaranteed to beat anyone's price by 15% or it's free company. It's a total gimmick, if they can't beat the price they'll blame it on our products have a better quality... Lol, the flooring that was so called cheaper than the NFD floor had a 30 year warranty when NFD only had a 15 year warranty. Stay away from this company at all costs, they pride themselves at being the cheapest and it's a total lie. If you are using them make them your last estimate just so you can have a nice laugh when you see everyone beats their prices without even knowing what their prices are.

National Floors Direct are full of con artist and liars as far as my experience is concerned. Pierre their sales rep came to my house and basically looked over my kitchen floors and said the work would be no problem. Despite my concerns of the project, he confidently said it could be done with a couple of guys in six hours. I thought, well if he's that confident then this must easier than I thought. I then spent the better part of 2 nights clearing my kitchen so that the installers could work on the kitchen floors.

Come installation day (took the whole day off of work), they sent one installer who upon one look at my floors said he could not do the work. I tried explaining to him what Pierre and I spoke about but he barely spoke english so we had a language barrier issue. However, it became crystal clear that he couldn't and wouldn't do the job. I tried calling National Floors Direct but kept getting their messaging center to which I explained to them 3 times about my situation and that I needed someone to call me.

Finally after the installer left, I get a call from Frank their installation manager. He gives me this flippant reply stating that the work was beyond what they could handle and that they really couldn't do anything about it. He then goes on a tangent about how National Floors Direct is losing money on this transaction. I could care less, what about the time and money wasted on my end!! Had National Floors come and give estimate. Pierre was VERY nice and knows how to sell. Crew came to install floor. They worked very, very hard from about 9:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and got install done. It was getting dark and we were all very tired. They left and next day noticed one plank was cut too short, enough so that the baseboard would not cover the space. Two other spaces in corners were cut too short as well which left a hole in the corners. Another spot in entryway they had pried the new board up and left pry marks in the wood and last place was a board that had split at the end and a piece of the board was actually missing. They still installed the board.

I called Customer Service. Rude, Rude Alison said it was due to our baseboards... not install!! Send, send pictures, did so, was told to take pictures again at chest level (which made things of course, less noticeable, but still would not even send out a representative to look at it. I spent $4,000 to get this hardwood and they ARE NOT WILLING to even work with you to fix flaws that were due to worker install mistakes!!!). Alison was very, very rude saying there was no one to talk to... She was the only one and she denied everything and blamed it on our baseboards. We bought new baseboards which they recommend you do. Still no satisfaction!!! Will not do business with them again.

I am disappointed that nice Pierre continues to sell for this company... It tells me he could care less about the customer satisfaction and therefore, diminishes his professionalism he portrays! The company is not willing to fix mistakes made by their installers. I now have to try to fill these areas myself with wood glue to try to cover their workmanship flaws. Won't go there again... Not reputable at all!!! They know how to lock you into their contracts and do nothing to help satisfy flaws created by them!

The appointment was set up for today 7/2/16 between 11 and 1. Agent: "What time was your appointment?" Me: "11-1" Agent: In a very snippy tone "Well, he's already on his way." Me: "He's already on his way? It's only 9:15, my appointment wasn't until 11-1." Agent: "How rude!" and she proceeded to hang up on me!

My Mother was rushed to the hospital last night due to a heart attack. As you can understand now why I needed to cancel this appointment. I am writing this review so other people can avoid the experience we had with National Floors Direct. We were in need of replacing our kitchen floor recently. My husband had just gone through cancer surgery and was still recuperating and we really just needed a quick and easy solution to our kitchen floor replacement. We received neither from NFD. The salesman came right to our house, did all the measurements and brought samples, which is exactly what we needed/wanted due to my husband's health. We put approximately one-third of the cost of the floor down as an initial deposit and was told that on the day of installation we would have to pay the balance in either cash or bank check.

We felt that was understandable and agreed with no issue. We were told that what we chose was a "new" type of floor and we were unable to get a next day installation because he wanted to make sure we got a crew who was familiar with this new product. A bit disappointing but happy that the salesman was looking out for us. We scheduled for the following Saturday which was a week away. On Thursday I received a confirmation call confirming installation for Saturday and was made aware that when the installers arrived with the product, we were to inspect the flooring to make sure it was what we wanted then we would have to pay the installers BEFORE they began the work! When we said that we would rather wait to see the end result before we made payment (remember cash or banker's check) we were told that we had signed the contract stating their payment policies and they would not install the floor without upfront payment. Wow.

We checked the contract and sure enough there was the payment policy. Shame on us. So we felt as though we had no choice and confirmed installation for Saturday feeling like they had pulled one over on us but still looking forward to our new floor and trying to chalk it up to lesson learned, read the fine print! (They do give you a three-day right to cancel but since the delivery was made a week out we had already passed those three days, clever trick NFD!) The next day, Friday, we received a call from NFD saying they had "bad news" and would not be able to install the floor on Saturday because while loading the flooring into the truck they noticed that all the boxes were damaged and so was the flooring inside. Needless to say we were very disappointed and asked for our deposit back and AGAIN were told that we could not cancel because it had been over the three days.

We argued that we had been misled and they were now the ones not fulfilling their end but still the bottom line was they had over $600 of our money and we had no floor and no confidence in this company. The people who contacted us prior to the contract were friendly and polite and the salesman was very nice but after that contract was signed it was a completely different story! The girl that called us to let us know the product was damaged was rude and completely unsympathetic as if she did this type of call all the time, which I'm sure she does. On the second attempt to install, we received no confirmation call and the day of installation I was called by NFD and told the installers would be at my home between 9 and 12, when the installers were already there at 8:30.

Bottom line after many phone calls, lots of swearing and threatening on our part, several downright lies by NFD about the product being damaged and wrong size, etc., the floor was installed almost 2 weeks past our contract signing. The floor looks good and the installers did a good job installing the floor, but left a mess behind and ruined a mat that I had in the room where they were working, a small price to get the whole situation done and over. We were not on our A game while looking for our new kitchen floor. In retrospect we should have waited until my husband was feeling better and gone out to shop around and found another flooring company who would have treated us fairly and respected us.

Please, if you are considering NFD, be aware of their crummy contract, sales techniques (think 3-day cancellation that starts day you sign not day of installation) and payment schedule. I think it's crazy to expect full payment prior to installation! End result is we got a nice floor for an okay price and installed by a polite but messy installer, and a hard time by NFD. We could have done so much better and you can, too.

We wanted a nice carpet runner to cover the staircases for our new, little, pond-side cabin... Carpet on the stairs is cozier, easier on the feet, and is considerably quieter and less slippery. We called National Floors Direct at the recommendation of our builder. We had virtually an immediate callback after our initial outreach to National Floors Direct, and a sales representative met with us the following week. We knew the perfect carpet as soon as we saw it, and signed on the spot. The job was somewhat complex since I was requesting on-site binding to get the edging perfect, but National Floors Direct cooperated beautifully. Our carpet was scheduled to be installed the following week.

Our cabin is off the grid and can be considerably hard to find. If you go wrong, you can get lost in the bogs in a neighboring town forever. Alright not REALLY forever, but we have had delivery people who have needed to be towed out of the wrong way that GPS can take you, and the tows are all in the vicinity of $1000. So, as per usual, I stressed the importance of the delivery people calling me to confirm the directions or to be talked into the site. As much as I do this on a regular basis, most delivery people do not call. Many get lost on the roads that exist on GPS, but no longer exist on the ground. It ain't pretty.

Not only did the delivery men phone, they phoned early, they were delightful, and they beat me to the cabin by 5 minutes. This is a sandy site, and they were very careful about not tracking in sand on the hardwood floors. AND... They did an absolutely exemplary job installing the stairway carpet! I am a design/build professional, and after reading some internet horror stories I was prepared to not be happy, but these two gents did a BEAUTIFUL job, the carpet is gorgeous, and it has made our little cabin in the woods more than just adorable. The carpet has made it feel like home. Thank you, National Floors Direct!

John was the best. So friendly and was the most informative. We learned more from him than the other 2 places we had spoke with. Installation was also fast and great the 2 installers were both friendly and great. They move our furniture and put the new rug in at no time. Will be calling them again when we are ready to carpet the rest of our house. Also will be sending everyone we know to them.

We were able to talk to his manager who assured us that they would fix the damage. It's been 3 days with no repair and no calls from NFD. In fact, we have called our salesman, the district manager and the installer's manager and NEVER received a callback. Our floor is damaged, the install was improper and we cannot use the bathroom. Flooring provided was of extremely high quality at a more than reasonable price. Dan/Pierre were so accommodating and flexible. Their carpet is a very low-grade product, we would not install carpet for them. The hardwood in most cases is an Armstrong product, and the laminate is very low grade. There was a lot if issues with the sales people promising the world even though the job was not possible to install correctly. Laminate in a basement or in a kitchen should not be installed due to higher than normal moisture which will cause issues down the road. We did many repairs which we were never paid for.

Unlike my company and a couple of others, NFD hires low-grade installers with little to know experience. We have installed high-grade flooring products in million dollar homes including stairs. I know that I am jumping around but the bottom line is, NFD holds their installers hostage with what they owe them with bogus excuses and all their products are sub-standard or seconds. After 15 months and them owing me over $24,000 for escrow being held in case a repair was needed of which we never had a complaint on our workmanship and repairs we performed, I would suggest never doing business with NFD, EVER.

I had my basement studio apartment floors replaced in January 6, 2015. They were approved by a representative who came out and inspected the room. I believe in May, I started feeling the floor start to move when I walked on certain areas. I am not in the room very often and as summer approached, I realized that the floor had buckled badly in two different areas and it was dangerous to walk on it, since it was causing me to trip. I turned on the heat to take out any excess moisture and the Sun shines in on two East and South facing sliders, so it gets lots of sunshine most of the day. I called National Floors Direct in June and was told to send photographs, which I emailed to them. They finally sent out a representative on July 24. By this time the floor was buckling in about 6 different areas.

I never heard back from them so I called again on Sept.1, Sept. 4 and then on Sept. 5 I was told that there was nothing they could do about it. I was told to install AC or buy a dehumidifier and that would take care of all the buckling in the floor. I was told that the level of moisture in the room was too high and I asked why they had been approved it then and she said that it had been approved in January and this was Sept. I was furious to say the least. I called them at least 7 times during this time period. I did buy a dehumidifier on Sept. 5, which I have been running 24 hours a day (at great expense) and the floor is better but not totally flat in the original two areas that buckled first. I do not believe this is a legitimate way of doing business and I will never recommend this company to anyone. In hindsight I wish I had read some of the other reviews before I bought from them as I'm sure I would not have used them. I hope this is helpful to others.

One of the worst company I have dealt with. The sales rep ** came and provided me the quote to put hardwood for upstairs and stairs. We both came to an agreement and signed the contract. Since the stairs' hardwood would be late, he said he will split into two contract. The first team came and put the upstairs and did not put the landing of stairs. The second team came a week later and said they don't have the material for landing. I spoke with customer service and they said, "It should be done as part of first contract."

Now the worst part, the second work technician has broken my stair spindle and left the house without intimating me. After 5 minutes, I did not see the guy working and searched the house and found he left. When I call customer service, they say they can't do spindles, post or rails of the stairs, which was never told to me. And they say, "The agreement specifies only we will do hardwood steps and riser and we won't do spindles, post or rails." They force me to sign the agreement that they won't do spindles, post or rails or they won't start the job.

They removed the carpet on stair step and it has nails. The technician left like that and it is unsafe to walk that step. After telling multiple times that I have kids and how can they leave such unsafe condition, the national floor customer service lady ** does not seem to get it. I would not advice to go with this company. They are not fit to do the job. They are very unprofessional. After that also if you want to sign up, please do so in your risk.

I waited at home all day during the first appointment and no one showed up.

I began calling their customer service at the tail end of the 9 am-12 pm appointment window. However, customer service was unable to contact the installers (curious). By 5 pm I was able to find out that these guys were supposedly on a job in the Bronx, NY when they were supposed to be dropping off my rug in New Jersey. If you believe the story, they scheduled two jobs for the same time in two different states. The second appointment was rescheduled by NFD due to a scheduling conflict and they showed up at 3:00 pm for the 3rd appointment which was scheduled for 9-12. My husband and I, without checking out this company, BEWARE, hired NFD to install laminate in our kitchen that we were redoing. Their EXPERT came in, saw our totally empty (no cabinets, appliances, etc.) kitchen and measured the floor. We picked out the floor and they said they would be back to install. Although NFD boasts install within 24 hours, that did not happen. Their EXPERT certified Armstrong flooring installers came without the right padding and molding. They had to go to Home Depot to get it. They installed the floor and left. I swear it wasn't the floor I picked out but in all fairness my husband did sign off on it. Subsequently we finished our kitchen with cabinets and appliances.

A week after, the floor started to make cracking noises like a loose shoelace hitting the floor every time we walked on it. Called NFD and spoke with the rudest "customer service" agent I've ever dealt with. After telling her about the problem, we were told "procedure" was to send in our concerns/complaints in writing complete with pictures and they would review it.

After two weeks we called back dealing with the same unprofessional rudeness to be told our claim was denied. (Thanks for the follow up to let us know) because we didn't send a picture. "How do we send a picture of noise?" we asked. "Procedure" requires a picture. We resent our complaint in writing complete with a picture of our floor making noise and waited another 3 weeks.

Again we reached out to NFD, again met with impatience and rudeness and defensiveness. When we asked to speak with a supervisor we were always told she WAS the supervisor (Paula) and that we could go no further than her. After telling her AGAIN about the problem, start to finish, she LOUDLY told us "You can't install cabinets over laminate floor." Okey dokey, then I guess your company will have to come fix the problem since your EXPERTS starting with the salesman who measured and the certified installers who installed never mentioned that to us, mere ignorant consumers when it comes to floor installation, hence our call and hiring of NFD, the flooring EXPERTS, wouldn't know you can't install cabinets on laminate.

After many rude calls and weeks later, another expert came out and saw that it indeed was not installed properly and another appt. was made to reinstall. Another salesman came out, telling us the flooring on our floor had been discontinued (the same month we had it installed, August), (btw it is now Jan. and here we still are dealing with the rudeness of NFD) and that it was a shame we paid for the flooring under our cabinets since it shouldn't have been put there in the first place. We picked out another floor agreeing to pay a small up charge.

Again we were on the phone and yes, now we too were getting a little rude with rude Paula who after my husband told her we should get some compensation for the flooring we paid for under our cabinets because we should never have been charged for something we didn't need, told him no refunds. I spoke with her the following week and she gave in, forfeiting the up charge.. Now mind you this has been going on for FOUR months, filing complaints, making daily phone calls, going on the internet and telling anyone who would listen about the perils of doing business with NFD and paying for flooring (under the cabinets) we didn't even need..

FINALLY we get a little professionalism. WHOA!!! Wait a minute.. the installers came, reinstalled our floor, gave me a bill with a ZERO BALANCE DUE which I signed and the following week we get a call from NFD asking when we were going to pay the up charge due. Wait, what??? When I told them the whole story and about the receipt I have IN HAND I was told, "Oh, that was a mistake."

The reason I am back on to complain is because we have been advised to file a complaint with the Attorney General, which we are, so we called NFD this morning and asked the woman who answered without identifying ourselves if she could give us the address of their corporate headquarters. She asked if we could please hold, a few seconds later a rude (must be a pre-requisite character flaw needed in order to get a job there) man got on the phone and said, “Mr. **, when are you going to pay what you owe us?” "If you would just give me the address I called for that would be appreciated."

After a few minutes of Mr. Rude evading my husband’s request, my husband said "If you aren't going to give me the address I'm asking you for, this conversation is over,” to which Mr. Rude said fine.... NO he never gave my husband any address. My husband just tried again and the women who just answered said the ONLY address she has is in Avon. Certified letter being sent to that address today.

The floor we ended up with is beautiful, although, if Paula hadn't given in on the up charge we would have AGAIN been paying for flooring under our cabinets as they used the same measurements they took the first time and this time, they didn't even put the flooring they would have been charging us for under the cabinets. Still, the hassle, unprofessionalism, threats, "going to put you into collections" and rudeness are NOT worth the outcome of our kitchen.

I called National Floors Direct in mid October, as I had seen the ads for them on TV. On Oct 14, the estimator was scheduled to visit, but called stating he was having car trouble, so we rescheduled for oct 16th. On the 16th, he came to my home, assessed the rooms to be carpeted, gave me a price, and asked for a $200 deposit. We scheduled the install for Friday the 24th. On the 24th, two men came and stated they could not do the job because they had nowhere to cut the rug. They were extremely rude and did not cancel with me but called the NFD office and told them they would not do it. I spoke to the office, they rescheduled for the next day, Saturday the 25th. They stated I would be called with a time frame between 8-9am. I called six times that morning requesting a time of arrival, with no response. Finally at noon, NFD called to cancel stating the installers were in an accident. They refused to refund my deposit, so we rescheduled again for Tuesday the 26th.

The crew arrived and stated they could not do the job because my furniture was too heavy to move. The estimator stated my furniture would be "no problem to move" and classified it as "light" on the contract. The installers began to swear and become belligerent, refused to do the job, this time I called NFD, who told the men the job needs to get done. They continued to yell in Spanish over the phone, so I asked them to leave. I demanded a refund and the NFD stated they would not refund my money as I was cancelling less than 24 hrs in advance. The woman I spoke to admitted her workers refused this job. I called several times over the last month and a half, to no avail. I looked them up on the BBB website (which I should have done before I hired them) and saw numerous complaints identical to mine. I went to the courthouse today and was informed I would need to file in Stoughton court, which I cannot do, because I cannot afford to miss another day of work for this.

I explained to NFD that the deposit came out of my late mother's estate, but they hung up on me. When I asked for names of who I was speaking with, everyone refused to provide me their name. $200 is a lot of money for me and coming from my mom's estate makes it that much worse for me By the way, I then went with another company who sent one man alone and he did a wonderful job all by himself, furniture and all! I was told that they would send the to the manufacturer for warranty.

Well this went off with the runaround I finally ended up calling Armstrong to complain. I was told that they sent them a response and that they should have received it. He sent another one. She was told to call back after three that the person who handles the mail will be in. Then Armstrong called her back after three on two consecutive days and was told that the mail is sent to New York and they handle it. I was told that maybe it happened because I washed the floor.

Armstrong denied the claim. It was an installation problem. Gee, I was really surprised. NOT. They disagreed and I received no repair of the floor. The salesperson then had my husband initial a whole bunch of paperwork which my husband didn't even read. This is highly unlikely on my husband's part but as I said before, he was just released from major surgery. The salesperson said that we could change our mind and call back tomorrow. While my husband was at a medical appt., they called and said that we would be getting the carpet on Fri. My husband called them back and said that we wanted to cancel. He was told that no one was in the office and someone would call back at 3:00P. I did speak with someone who said that she would relay to the complaint division.

I was called back by an even pushier person who said that we had signed a contract, the rug was on the truck and ready to go. I told him that we are not accepting it and if they show up, I'm calling the police. He continued pushing which is when I told him that their company is not reputable and he just kept repeating me. I then asked about getting the $100.00 back and he wouldn't answer. I told him that I didn't care and I will use that towards posting something not flattering about them. Bottom line, don't even call them for an estimate unless you want to be harassed!!

You must pay 100% up front and then have NO leverage when the job is unsatisfactory. They put a hole in our gas line (a $900 fix) and REFUSE to pay for it. It took THREE WEEKS to finish the job because they didn't order enough material. The floor looks fine, but the TRIM IS TERRIBLE.. They are not carpenters and do not bring the necessary tools & materials to do anything even a teeny out of the ordinary. Their price point is no better than others. The work is average AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS.

Ten days ago I had carpet installed in my hallway and on my basement stairs and landing. The men who installed it were very nice and did a good job, but after they left I noticed a line in the carpet which looked to me like a defect in the carpet. It's a busy carpet, so I didn't notice it until a day later. I called them the next day and was told to e-mail pictures to their customer service e-mail address, which I did the next day. At that time I was also told that they would get back to me within three business days.

I called them in three days and got no response, and the day after that, and two days after that, and the day after that and.....well.....you get the picture! Anyway, I finally spoke to someone today, who told me without a doubt that me (or someone in my house) had put that that mark in the carpet by dragging a heavy object across it. I responded that this absolutely had not happened, and she proceeded to explain to me that it was impossible that this was installed this way, because they check it at the factory, on the truck, and on the floor after it has been installed... In effect they called me a liar! Do not use this company. They don't back up their product!

We had two reps come out to our home because we wanted new hardwood floors installed. The salesmen promised us that the installers would do some things that we wanted. We gave them a 1,000.00 dollar CASH deposit. The two installers showed up two days later. They didn't speak a word of English so we had to call National Floors Direct to get someone to translate for us. The installers brought the wrong hardwood floor and didn't have the molding trim. They said they wouldn't install the molding trim. They also said they wouldn't do the things promised by the salesmen. The salesmen promised us just so they could get the deal done.

We called National Floors Direct while the installers were still at our home and cancelled our order. They said the cancellation rep would contact us within 72 hours. He never called so we called them back. We told them we wanted our cash deposit back and they said no because we didn't cancel within 72 hours from when we signed the contract. We did cancel within 72 hours and we have documentation proving this. We contacted the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office and they said for anyone that has had their money STOLEN from them to contact them right away. The more complaints, the better chance we all have to get our money back.

On Jan 28th, 2014, National Floor Direct came to my home to installed carpet and linoleum. First was the discrepancy on paying first before starting the work. They started around 11am and finished at around 10:15-30pm. A long day. I asked about the levelling of the floor which was brought to the salespersons attention, and she said the installers would fix it before laying down the carpet. Long story short, while laying down the carpet in my den, they chipped 5 ceramic tiles, then in placing a strip between the kitchen door-well and the hallway they placed it but didn't cut out for the door to open and close so it broke. Then when we looked at the installation, the carpet was not flushed against the baseboards. Some edges were left undone, others you could see the ground or the flooring underneath were the carpet should be flushed to the baseboard.

I immediately the next day called the company explaining the issues at hand. They told me to take pictures and submit trim to them showing the damages and the problems. I heard nothing. I submitted the pictures and called three times nothing. I called again on 2/17/14 and the person said that their installers said they did not damage the tiles. I was very upset for the installer told my husband he damaged the tiles. They also said that they were not responsible girl the damages but sold send someone to check the carpet installation. I told them I was not happy with the outcome and that someone a ms badger a supervisor needed to contact ASAP! No response. Do not buy from them. They are liars, unfair, unprofessional. I'm not giving up in getting this resolve. I hope Consumer Affairs can help.

I had a floor installed in my home in May of 2013. About a month later, the floor began to buckle up in a few places. I contacted NFD and have had nothing but stress. Have had the runaround, been lied to about receiving my pictures and required forms. I've contacted the media, BBB, and the Attorney General. National Floors' own employee told me the floor was improperly installed. I had an independent contractor look at the floor and they told me it wasn't installed correctly. NFD is blaming it on moisture because of some reading they had when they came to look at the mess.

However, they didn't have a moisture reading when they where installing the floor! Maybe because moisture isn't covered under warranty; therefore, they can take my 2500$$ and rip off this consumer. They agreed to fix the floor but sent an installer with one box of flooring. The installer was upset when he saw the condition my floor was in and couldn't fix the problem with one box. NFD has refused to let me speak with a manager and/or owner of the company, and outright refused to fix this problem.

I purchased a carpet from National Floors Direct on May 17, 2010, and paid $600 deposit via personal check, on a purchase price of $1,830. On the day it was scheduled to be installed, August 23, 2010, their contractor arrived to my house to tell me that it could not be installed because it was raining. They were scheduled to come back on August 30, 2010, but we had to reschedule the day of the installation, due to the fact that they would not be to our house until after 5pm, when they had told us we would have a morning appointment.

On September 7, 2010, I received a bill from the financing company, GE Money, noting that on August 21, 2010, I had been charged the remaining balance of $1230 on the carpet which had not yet been installed. I contacted National Floors Direct and spoke to Steve, who indicated that there was nothing they could do. He indicated that it was not possible to reverse the charges, and keep the account open.

I called GE Money on September 8, 2010, and the customer service agent, Ann, said it was a violation of FTC regulations to charge me for a product I had not received, and stated it was possible to reverse the charges, and keep the account open. She stated that the company just needed to reverse the charges, and then reapply them when they installed the carpet. She offered to have a conference call with National Floors Direct to rectify the situation.

Additionally, on the contract, it noted that the financing payment plan would be, no payment for a year on my financing, which the GE customer service representative stated that they do not provide. I contacted Carl at National Floors Direct, who stated that because it would cost the company money to reverse the charges, as well as the fact that I signed a contract, that offered me no payment for one year, which was not accurate, he would cancel my order with a full refund. To date, September 25, 2010, the charges continue to exist on my GE money account, and therefore have not been reversed, and I have not received my $600 deposit.

I am currently out $600 cash for an order of carpet I never received, and eventually cancelled, and have a debt of $1,230 plus fees through their financing company, that has not been refunded.

Don't ever use National Floors Direct. They showed up on April 1, 2010 and showed me the color they planned to install. I asked them to confirm that it was natural, and the worker replied, yes. Then they started to lay Sahara. They showed up 1.5 hours late with wrong color wood. I let them go ahead and continue laying it because the color was my 2nd choice. At 2:00 pm, the superintendent tells me he doesn't have enough materials to complete the job and isn't sure "when" they will arrive. They "guarantee" next-day installation. They are fraudulent and liars. It took weeks to get the job done correctly and they still owe me 1 foyer stair to be done and some defective wood. Flooring isn't level either. They have enough nerve to want their full balance paid after all the hours I have wasted on this!

I had emotional distress caused due to incompetent workers and the fraudulent practices of National Floors Direct. They have been kicked out of the State of New Jersey due to their fraudulent practices! Now, let's kick them out of Maryland, VA and DC!

I met with the sales representative, Cordell, the 1st Friday in June. I selected the flooring, made a deposit and scheduled the installation for the 2nd Friday in June (18th). I received a call Thursday (the day before the scheduled installation) afternoon to say they did not have the flooring and that the manufacturer didn't have it. They indicated that it should be on the truck when it delivers the following Wednesday.

On June 23rd, I phoned the sales representative, Cordell, all day the 22nd trying to get National Floors Direct to check with Armstrong to see if the flooring was in stock. He never returned my calls. I started phoning the 800 number for National Floors Direct at 10:25 this morning to make certain the floor was going to be installed on the 24th as promised. It wasn't until 2:30 in the afternoon when the installation manager finally phoned to say the flooring still was not available and that they could not install the floor until Sat. 26th and there was no compensation being given.

This appears to be yet another delay. If the flooring isn't in, how can he promise installation for Sat the 26th? This company advertises next day installation and it has been almost a month and we still have no flooring. They, however, have had my deposit. I have requested a full refund. John the installation manager is saying it takes 10 working days to receive the refund.

We ordered a 15ft 44oz textured berber to be installed in our bedroom on October 29th. The installers showed up with carpet cut too short. On 10/31 another set of installers came with carpet in a 12ft roll and told us you'd see the seams if they installed it. We told them it wasn't what we wanted. Customer service, Ron, told us we wouldn't see the seams so he was sending them back later that night. They didn't show up. We were told we couldn't get our money back, but that if you could see the seams, we could pick another carpet, just let them install it. On 11/12 the installers come back with 12ft carpet and install it. The seams were clearly visible. Customer service tells us they'll send someone out on 11/19 to "check" the job, but they don't show up. Again, we're told by customer service that they'll send a different set of installers out later that evening, but they don't show either. On 11/20 installers show up to check the job and agree it is unsatisfactory and needs to be replaced. We ask Ron for our money back, but we are denied. We are told to pick another carpet out to be installed. A salesman was to come show us samples on 11/24, but he doesn't show up. Again, the same thing happens on 11/25. Excuses were given by customer service both times even though we had confirmed the dates earlier in the day. On 12/1 a salesman shows up, Daryl, with 15ft samples. He tells us that the one we originally selected was better than the two samples they have in stock, but pick one of the less expensive ones and we'll be refunded the money. We choose one that is 40oz with a much larger loop than we wanted, but since we can't get our money back, we have no other option. On 12/3 we are told the installers will be out between 10 and 3, but they don't show up until after 6pm. In the mean time we speak with Mary Sumner who tells us she has spoken with the owners and they will give us a $300 credit for our time and aggrivation and the difference in the carpet price. A 40oz berber is installed that evening. It is now 12/19, we still haven't received a credit and Mary is telling us she never offered us any money. Today, she told us she would give us a "final offer" of $200.

This is the second time we have used National Floors direct. We had a bad experience the first time, but thought that it was probably the exception and not the norm, but we were apparently wrong. we had an installment date of 12/8/08 which was agreed to on 11/10/08. The salesperson said that because of our bad experience, they would give us priority and that there would be no problems with installation this time. On 12/6/08 we received a call from NFD confirming the installation date and were told someone would call us between 7-8am on the 8th to give us a window of time for installation. At 9am, we hadnt heard so i placed a call into NFD and they said someone would call within the hour and that our home had not even been assigned yet for that day. At 10am, my wife received a call and said that someone would be at the house between 2-4pm. At 4:30, no one had shown up or called us, so I called NFD and spoke with someone who said that they would have the installer contact me. About 20 minutes later, the installer called and said they were 2-3 hours away from finishing their job and they were an additional 2 hour drive from us(Cranston, RI to Fitchburg, Ma. I called and expressed my frustration with the situation to a customer service rep and then to the General manager. I explained that my wife had takenb the day off of work specifically for this reason. She said that she would still send the workers out, which I agreed to. After some thought, I realized that the workers would not be her until 9pm at the earliest and they had no idea how long it would take to finish the job. I called back and said that that was not acceptable, we had been planning on this day for a month and that we had been promised prioritization. The GM said that there was nothing they could do. I reluctantly decided to take the morning of the 9th off, after I was assured that the installers would be her by 9am so i could go back to work the second half of the day. They showed up at 10:45am. The work they did was good, but I feel that the company renegged on their contract. When leaving I needed to sign a customer satisfaction letter or i was told the workers would not get paid. I was also told I had to sign authorization thru Wells Fargo since this was going to be financed. I was told that if I did not sign the authorization, wells fargo would take me to court. I reluctantly signed after they said they would take $50 off the cost, even though I was paying for the installation to be completed on a different day. Maybe nothing can be done, but I just thought I should look into this as I feel the company reneeged on theiir part of the deal. I am happy to pay for the cost of the carpet, it is the amount of labor that I am upset about.
