Once the crew was here they got right to work tearing the old carpet and underlayment up, scraping and sweeping the mess away and installing. I saw the older guy in the crew stroking the carpet to check the lie of the fibers to make sure the seam area was unnoticed (It is undetectable). When finished they made sure I was happy with the install. They left no evidence that they had been there except for a nice new carpet. I would recommend NFD to anyone looking for a good product and service at an affordable price.

Everything thereafter went exactly as he explained, the install date was set, there were reminders and calls to ensure we were ready for the install date. The install team emailed their arrival timeframe and sure enough showed up on time. They were extremely pleasant and did an AMAZING job... which I honestly did not think could be done in 1 day... but they did it, they only had to return the next day to finalize the baseboards.

They cleaned up after themselves did a walkhrough with us before asking us to sign off on the job. I am very happy with the results and I will most certainly recommend National Floors Direct to anyone that needs floors done. I received a gift card for my time in posting this honest review, which I would have done anyway, but it was great to get.

The flooring selection was wonderful and I got really excited about the lifetime warranty on the floors and the favorable finance rate. There was no question that I had found my flooring company. Installation was scheduled for a few days out and on the big day, the workers came on time, set up shop professionally and were very communicative. Install took about 6-8 hours and was done efficiently and professionally. The finished product was amazing and I could not believe the transformation of my basement. I am very happy I went with National Floors Direct and while I did receive a gift card for posting my honest review of their product, please believe that my satisfaction and praise would be the same otherwise.

The installers showed up exactly on time and called an hour prior to arrival to let me know they would be there on time. They came in and went over the project before starting and verified the carpet was what my wife and I had chosen. They immediately started the removal of the old carpet, tacking strips and padding. They completed the installation within the estimated time of four hours and made sure I was happy with the install and clean-up before leaving. I would highly recommend NFD and as mentioned previously, plan in using them again soon!

She was very understanding, calming, and informative about NFD's commitment to ensure that I am satisfied with the work as well as the overall process. I would also like to add that Dwain did an excellent job on the install. He was diligent and detailed in answering my questions regarding the process. The quality of his install of carpet was excellent. Great job!

Let's begin with the so-called "free estimate." When the salesman arrives, their sole focus will be on promoting the luxury vinyl because of its exorbitant markup for the company. They will present you with an outrageously high estimate, but don't be fooled. When you counter their offer, they will promptly contact their boss and shower you with a multitude of discounts in an attempt to pressure you into signing the contract that very night. However, we strongly advise against doing so. By purchasing the materials yourself and finding a reputable contractor through platforms like Angi, you can secure better pricing.

Another trick they employ is offering a rushed order, again by engaging in the whole "let me call my manager" routine. Beware, though, as accepting this option forfeits your ability to cancel the order or make any changes to it. So, please refrain from rushing into such a decision. In case you do decide to proceed with them, negotiate for lower figures, and you will be astounded by the inflated amounts they manage to extract from individuals uncomfortable with negotiation.

During our sales meeting, we explicitly informed the company, known as NFD, about the presence of tile beneath the carpeted areas and floating hardwood in the sections where we wanted new flooring installed. The salesman assured us that NFD would come in, remove the rug (which NFD had installed years earlier) and the floating floor, properly dispose of them, and lay the new floor seamlessly in just one day (a point they emphasize). However, this turned out to be far from the truth. The tile we had was found to contain asbestos, and in the carpeted area, someone from NFD had irresponsibly nailed into it. Removing the tack strip would have posed a significant risk, requiring the tile's removal before proceeding with the new floor installation.

Unfortunately, because we had already signed the contract, we were unable to cancel the order and take the time to strategize and plan accordingly. Consequently, the installer partially removed our floor, leaving it in disarray, and it was only after their departure that the manager called us, leaving us bewildered and unable to discuss alternative options with the installer. Eventually, we were forced to spend an additional $5000.00 to have the tile removed and undertake the task of ripping up the flooring ourselves, initiating the installation process once again.

When the installers arrived to carry out the job, we noticed that the invoice indicated "COD" (cash on delivery). They refused to commence work until we provided them with cash or a check. However, we had financed the order, which led to another frustrating encounter with the company. After numerous phone calls and the installers nearly leaving, we managed to get through to someone who acknowledged our financing arrangement. They instructed us to locate the installers and hand them our phone so they could confirm the message. Eventually, the installers began working on the floor. It is worth mentioning that the installers, who were outsourced by NFD, were excellent. This worked in our favor since their quality of workmanship did not reflect the values of NFD.

Upon reviewing our contract, we noticed that NFD was charging us roughly $5200.00 for labor, encompassing the removal and disposal of our old floor, as well as the installation of the new one. We contacted them to explain that due to their salesperson's failure to listen attentively or inspect the flooring we wanted a credit on our bill as we did most of the labor ourselves. We would have been very happy with $2000 or even $1500 but what was offered was $150. We then escalated and asked for a fair resolution, the follow up was a $200 credit. It's honestly insulting.

We are now talking with a lawyer that is amazed at how NFD is handling this. It's a shame that we have to go this route. If anyone at NFD is reading this, check your notes, I will gladly change this review after a fair resolution but if not, we will have to go the legal route as well as a Help Me Hank route. This is crazy to me as we are a repeat customer, NFD tacked into the tile beforehand, didn't look into it when we tried to show them and were just interested in getting us in contract.
