This flooring company scams you. I paid in full before work was done (their policy). They ripped up my entire rug and then told me I need concrete to even floor out. They wanted an additional 2400.00. Which is outrageous, they would not work anything out with me. I was told this is it or nothing.

From the beginning my experience with National Floors was a positive one. The appointment was very easy to make and the agent was very helpful in getting a date and time that worked. The salesperson, Cliff **, arrived on time and was very knowledgeable about the LVP I was interested in. He was very helpful in picking out the right color for my kitchen. An acceptable cost was reached and the appointment was set up for installation in the near future. National Floors called several times to make sure the installation was on track. The installers arrived on time and immediately began to put in my new floor. The installation was done in record time. Each of the installers were very professional and helpful during this job. The finished floor exceeded my expectations and I would recommend National Floors to my friends and family. Thanks for a job well done.

Our experience having our floors installed with National Floors was excellent. Malcolm was prompt and pleasant during the home visit and estimate, even our dog liked him. The installation itself was easily scheduled, at a convenient time for us. The installers were prompt and efficient. They not only tore out the old floor, but took all the garbage with them and other than some wood dust the place was perfect. The floor itself is amazing. After looking at a gross old carpet for a year, having beautiful hardwood is like living in a new house. I even started doing yoga in the mornings because it's so nice to be on. The only negative aspect was that there were about half a dozen smalls chips in the wall paint from where tools were used to install the final pieces. These can be repaired, but maybe should be avoided in the future.

Gail and I decided to have a replacement carpet installed in our bedroom, I started at the big box stores but found that one wanted us to pay for an estimate, and the other did not have qualified staff to work with. I turned to the internet and found National Floors Direct (NFD). I contacted NFD online and requested an estimate. NFD responded the next day, and we agreed to a time for an estimate.
The person arrived on time, with carpet samples, took measurements, and provided different estimates based on carpet quality. This person was well qualified, knew her product, thus we entered into a contract. We contacted NFD later in the week once we decided on a date for the install, and they agreed to our date. The installers arrived on time, and were very good at their job, the install went smoothly and they were done in three hours. They moved the bed, cleaned up after themselves, even vacuumed the new carpet, and repacked the removed furniture. This purchase was a pleasure, and I recommend National Floors Direct to everyone that wants a easy and professional to do a carpet installation.

National Floors Direct was by far the most professional group to work with. The installers were polite and professional and went above and beyond in their work. The salesman was honest and polite. Can’t wait to get more floors done!

They agreed that the furniture move is included in the contract while signing. But once they came in for installation they started demanding extra money. However after a while we agreed to pay the amount but we did not have cash and we mentioned that we would pay it by the time they finish the installation. But the customer care kept us calling every 10 mins demanding the money. They threatened us to pay the money by 30 mins or they will stop the work. It was the worst customer contact we ever had, we paid the entire installation amount and they threatened to stop the work for 100$. The website also mentions a free furniture move. Do not trust the company. I have never seen any customer care yelling at customers.

We have been working with National Floors Direct since 2010 when we bought our first home. Eight years and five different flooring projects later, we have never been disappointed with the product (both carpet and hardwood) or installation. We've had the pleasure of working with Pierre for (almost) all of these projects and I have to say the experience would not be the same without him. He is someone who we enjoy working with and completely trust when making a major decision for our home. Another thing about National Floors Direct that we really like is the quality of installation. We've had different installers for every project and every single one of them has been exceptional. These installers take pride in their work and it shows.
We have recommended National Floors Direct to many friends and shared our experience in local Facebook groups when the topic of flooring comes up. The installation process is usually the first thing we mention when someone comes into our home and compliments our floors. We genuinely love National Floors Direct from the (salesman) Pierre to the completed project.

I will be using Floors Direct to finish my whole house in the near future. The floors came out absolutely amazing. They were exactly as I wanted them. The installers did a great job leveling the floor before laying the wood. I’ve had quest come over and ask who did them. I highly recommend floors direct. They are super easy to keep clean and I’m very happy with the outcome.

We recently finished our basement. We were looking for someone to install a rug in our basement. We called National Floors Direct and set up an appointment very quickly. They had lots of options for us to choose from. We had our basement rug installed within two weeks and installation was quick and efficient. The rug is high-quality. We had a great experience with National Floors Direct! Appointment setup was very easy through the website. The salesperson came out to our house quickly and right on schedule. Many great options for carpet in all types of spaces. We appreciated the knowledge and info that the salesperson brought to the discussion. Install went great - crew came on time, worked fast and did a great job. The new carpet transformed a space that we haven't used for 12 years, and have now been in that room constantly since then. I ordered carpet for my home. Everything's going well. Then I had an emergency in my family and had to reschedule. That's a no no with this company. I was afraid I would have to cancel because I couldn't afford the extra cancellation fees. But the lady in customer service was very kind and helpful to me! She waived the fees and allowed me to reschedule my appointment. Everything was smooth sailing from there on. The installers came a little early for our appointment which was great. They were very professional and hard working. These guys should be given medals for the hard work they do. The only downside is they did not have a vacuum to take up the loose carpet after install. But I would HIGHLY recommend this company to family and friends.

Do not use them! They are very polite right up until after your flooring is installed and when you call to have it corrected, they try to talk over and belittle you. Samantha is horrible. I wish I read the reviews prior. And they only accept cash or cashier's check. That should have been a red flag. How is this company still in business!?

Our experience with National Floors Direct was exceptional from start to finish. We were in a tight schedule for installation, having just moved into a new home, furniture to be delivered within a matter of days. Our Sales Representative (Freddy), came to our home within 48 hours, was able to find us the type of Berber and padding we were looking for, in the color family we wanted, at a highly competitive price for a large family room which fit our install schedule requirements. He was on time for his appointment, very friendly, courteous and professional throughout the process.
NFD called to confirm our particulars two days prior to install. The carpet installers were also on time for their install, courteous and very professional as well, vacuuming and cleaning thoroughly prior to and after their installation. They finished the install in just a couple of hours. I would highly recommend National Floors Direct to anyone. Their service was terrific, they’re highly competitive with their pricing and we’re very happy with the carpet we selected.

It was a pleasure to have had National Floors Direct install my wood laminate floor. From the initial visit with the salesperson, we were treated in a very professional manner. We were not pressured to buy from this company, but were shown the advantages in purchasing from National Floors. All our questions were answered and we were confident that we were getting a good price.
The office called us to let us know when to expect the installers, who came within the specified time. The installers were extremely skilled, polite and very accommodating. They moved all the furniture as promised, and most importantly, to me, they were very clean and did an excellent job of installing the floor and cleaning up any debris.
I have had many contractors come to my home to install items, and have had many problems with most of them. National Floors Direct is one of the few companies that I can honestly say, was 100%, professional, competent and completed the job without any problems whatsoever. I highly recommend this company.

National Flooring Direct is one of the most helpful carpet companies I have dealt with. This company was in and out of my house within 30 minutes, very fast. Everyone I talked to about my carpet installation was very friendly. This company was able to rip up my old carpet. I like how his company was cash only. I was able to call and have someone come to my house the next day. The whole process took about one week. This company had my carpet available. I will recommend this company to friends and family.

He was quick, came with all the samples to show us, and helped choose the best selection for our basement. He talked with my 4 year old and made a great connection with us. The salesman who came out to do the initial consultation was very understanding of what exactly we were looking for in our 3 bedrooms. Scheduling with him was very easy at the time of consultation as we were able to pick our own date of install. When the crew arrived to install the carpet they were two hours early and they did an amazing job. They vacuumed and cleaned up all their scraps when they were done and made sure that I was completely satisfied with the service before they left. I will be using National Floors Direct again and would recommend them to family and friends.

I had a great experience overall with National Floors Direct. Getting a quote was hassle free and quick. I was able to schedule my carpet installation after the Representative took measurements of the room and went over products and options with me. They were also able to price match me at an affordable rate. On the day of the installation, they came in and got the job done efficiently. My experience was very positive. The salesperson came on time and was helpful. Installation day the guys came on time and were very polite. They did a wonderful job and the process was very quick. They left things in good shape when done. The only thing I'd ask is that the crew have a t-shirt or badge from the company to verify they are your guys. They did have the paperwork with them, so I knew, but it would have been nice to have them be able to be identified by sight. All in all, I would definitely use you again.

The team from National Floors Direct were wonderful! I am very happy with the cost, schedule, and installation process. The shipment of my flooring was delayed, but National Floors Direct worked with me to correct the delay as fast as possible! The team walked me through the process for the day, double checked on everything before beginning the installation, and cleaned up after. Super polite, and very conscious of other workers in the property at the same time. The floors were a very close match to the hardwood floors that were already in place. Tom from National Floors Direct came out to my new house to give my wife and I an estimate. He was very personable and had a great deal of knowledge. The company gave us a fair estimate, and also explained that they price match! We picked a carpet, and 10 days later it was installed and looks great! We had the same carpet installed in 3 bedrooms, a hallway, and staircase - it was done in about 5 hours or so. I would definitely recommend!

I had learned about National Floors Direct from a friend and he stated that it was the best experience he has ever had and told me I should contact them because I was in the market for getting all my bedrooms done with new carpets. I went to their website and filled out the free in home estimate and someone had called me with 20 minutes to set up my free estimate. Within two days I had someone at my house with tons of sample flooring. He measured all three bedrooms with walk-in closets and the upstairs hallway. He came back down and we picked a carpet that I really like and it was also pet friendly (stains, hair, etc) and gave me the price to complete the entire job! The price he gave me was excellent and was under my budget that I had set in my mind. I had asked him if I needed to clear out the rooms and he stated that the guys installing it can move stuff around. Needless to say I got a lot of the stuff out of the rooms except beds and burrows.
They came to install my carpets three days later and stated that I was supposed to have the room cleared and I told the two gentleman installing the carpets what the salesperson stated and they worked around the furniture! These two gentlemen did an outstanding job and had the entire job done in 5 hours with every room put back the way it was and vacuumed all three rooms and hallway! They truly were fantastic and I would recommend this company to anyone looking to get new floors. 5 stars all day long!!! I will contact National Floors Direct for my future flooring needs!!

The 2 installers who came were early which I appreciated. They were also incredibly nice, knowledgeable and just a pleasure. They worked quickly, diligently and cleaned everything up. They even installed my new trim which I provided. That was the ONLY good part of working with National Floors Direct. They have a policy of not accepting credit card. I found this odd for a large company and the sales rep explained that they have been scammed by many customers. This was enough for me and I signed over my $600 deposit. Well, I quickly found out that they do not accept credit cards so that the customer has no recourse when things go wrong.
My sales rep had told me I needed to remove the existing flooring or the new flooring would be too high. He gave me pricing with floor removal and without (a $276) difference. I was paying for expensive hardwood, I wanted it done right and opted to have the floors removed by them. When the installers arrived they showed me where I would have gaps on my floor and it was clear the sales rep was clueless. I told them to keep the existing floor and obviously called to have the money I paid for the removal taken off my cost, this is when I was informed that removal is included and they do not charge separately for it. Interesting since the sales rep gave me pricing with and without removal. I have very low tolerance for bad customer service and I asked that they just refund my $600.00 and forget it, because I felt like I was being ripped off. The rep's exact response was "That's not gonna happen".
This was the second time I had to contact their customer service and they have zero customer service skills. If you look up reviews others have had similar experiences without being able to get their money back because of their cash only policy. I have 3 more rooms to do and I'm going with another company. National Floors Direct is fine if they can get everything right from start to finish but the second you have to involve customer service, good luck, they are the rudest, most apathetic group of people I have ever had the misfortune of speaking to. They just don't care about the customer. They have your money and you can't get it back, and they know it.

I called National Floors Direct after seeing a commercial on TV. I was pleasantly surprised at the wonderful service I received. They not only matched the quote I had seen from another company, but were able to give an additional discount so I paid less than the quote I received from the other company. I was kept up to date on my order. I got a follow-up the night before to confirm. The installer also called within my window to update when they would be there. The installers were professional and did a great job installing the carpet. I even got a follow-up call to ensure that I was happy. I had a great experience from start to finish.

We had such a great experience using National Floors Direct to put carpet in our bedrooms. We were contacted within 24 hours after inquiring about their services to set up a time for a free in home estimation and they worked around our schedule. When the guy came to do the estimate he was very polite and professional. He helped us pick out the best carpet for our expanding family. They did a great job with reminding you of your install date and time. When the carpet was installed they did a great job. They moved all of our furniture, and put everything back when they were done. They even vacuumed up afterward to make sure it was clean before they left. They did an amazing job and made sure we were happy before they even left. My husband and I are so happy with our new carpets! We would recommend National Floors Direct to all our friends and family!

Also when they put the flooring inside the closet they did not screw the door in right or they stripped the screws because the door came off the hinges and ripped the tapping alongside the door. I called after the week was up and I was told to buy a humidifier... That should remedy the problem, if not there was nothing they could do. I was told the issue with the closet is not their responsibility. The girl was rude and could care less about my issues.
This is not the first negative issue with this company. The installer did not have the right bullnose for the stairs. We called and was told that an installer would contact us and come out to look at it. The installer called, my husband had difficulty in understanding him. When they hung up my husband was under the impression the installer would come at 2:30 that afternoon. He never showed. When my husband called back to find out when he was coming they said the installer said he was told not to come.
We went round and round with this issue, the installer never came, we had to have another contractor come to fix it and we asked to be compensated, we told flat out NO! Working with National Flooring Direct has been a HORRIBLE experience and I will never use them or recommend them to anyone. I WILL USE EMPIRE. I have in the past and have never had a problem, they were professional and had a great customer service. I will also post this on Yelp.

Never ever use National Floor Direct. Please share this so people don’t get ripped off. I had them out to give me a quote for all of my floors in my house. My first quote was 13,000.00 dollars for 1100 sq ft. By the time he left it was down to 6800.00. I got another quote today for 5600.00. The salesman wanted me to call his company and lie to them and tell them I had to cancel my appointment and then he could reschedule and give me a better price. I told him I would not lie for him that my integrity and honesty was more important than saving a few dollars. Then he told, "Ok I will call them and tell them you were not home and they will try and call you just don’t answer your phone."
I call to complain and the lady in customer service said I could not talk to anybody about this. She said I didn’t have a contract, that I wasn’t a customer. I told her you are right and would never do business with this type of company. She got real nasty on the phone and hung up on me. Check out their reviews online and 51% were negative. You have over 50% chance of being taking by National Floor Direct. Please pass this on and check reviews with any company you want to do business with.

My experience with National Floors Direct was very positive. I had shopped around at various local vendors before I called National Floors Direct. I was able to have them come out to the house within 48 hours. They showed me various samples and we were able to choose one that is "pet soil" resistant. The salesman was courteous and professional. I was glad that I had previously shopped around with the competition, so that I could take advantage of the "today only pricing." National Floors Direct was 1/3 less than other companies with whom I compared prices. They called to confirm the installation time for a Saturday. Their installers arrived on time, moved our furniture and completed the installation within 90 minutes. I was not home, but my husband said they were friendly and fast. My carpet is only three days old, but so far I am very satisfied.

National Floors Direct was quick to schedule an appointment. The salesman arrived on time as scheduled. He seemed very knowledgeable and provided samples of different levels based on my preferences. He was able to price a better quality carpet at the price I got from another company that was a lesser quality. The salesman was even able to provide the quote the same day. I needed the carpet installed fairly quickly and they were able to make that happen. The installer showed up as scheduled. He worked non-stop all day to complete the job. He was friendly and informative. Our carpet looks GREAT! Thank you National Floors Direct!

We had a great experience with National Floors Direct! It was very important for us to fit the cost of hardwood floors into our budget, and National Floors Direct did just that. They beat the prices of competitors, which was very appealing. They offered good financing options, as well. The installation was scheduled quickly, and worked into our timeframe. The installers arrived on time, and did a quality job. We had our whole second floor done, and the project only took two days! Very happy with the product, installation, and service.

So I am doing a major kitchen renovation, we are doing most of it ourselves but my husband saw commercial so we decided to at least find out a price. We are using a variety of different stores to find products and so far they have all been great. So here we go... Guy comes over, he is a manager, stays at house for a little over an hour and we agreed on a price. He also said they would do the saddles because it was two rooms. I give him down payment and the rest has to be certified check paid in full before they even come in door. Remember I said TWO rooms which was written down on contract. Ok, so we have done major renovations before and we were very specific about what had to be done.
Our guy put everything in his “notes” and read me the contract. Workman comes runs out of material, we call company they said there are not doing other room unless I pay for it. I told her to put contract in front of her, she said she has it and when realized it was a mistake, she said she did not care. That they did not charge me enough. Hubby told her we had not given worker all cash and she started throwing terms around like theft of services. The only one who was doing that was the company. We hung up, another guy called back said ok give rest of money, meanwhile we paid them almost 90 percent.
But how can we trust them when they were not following contract, manager clearly said they were not going to honor contract, So we taped phone calls, and took video of the mess that was left. They came back after a week, my husband had to help them, I bought 100 dollars worth of transition floors cause Workman said he didn’t have them. Do not use them under any circumstance. And if you respond back to this with anything other than a full apology, I have names and receipts.

This is the worst company to deal with. I've dealt with many companies and use to work in customer service and this company are a bunch of scam artists with no integrity. I signed a contract for hardwood floors and it specifically states everything I signed in the contract and that I have concrete floors and it was going to be nailed in with plywood according to my sales rep when we signed and when they came to the house the day of install they wouldn't do it because they said it can't be done.
Now they won't allow me to cancel my order and they are forcing me to buy an engineered hardwood product which I don't want. I want the real hardwood floors as per my contract not the engineered. They are an incompetent company top to bottom from sales reps and supervisors and they won't give me my money back unless I buy some other type of flooring which I don't want! Absolutely ridiculous. If they couldn't do hardwood floors in the first place why would they even allow me sign the contract lol. This is a complete scam of a company and they have no integrity or pride. They are willing to lose a customer for $1500. NEver again and buyer beware. Don't trust this company!

NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY... THEY BIND YOU INTO AN ILLEGAL CONTRACT WHERE YOU CANNOT CANCEL!!! The salesman sat in my living room and specially picked out a date far enough ahead of time for us to be able to cancel. The contract read “10 days” from contract date. We picked the 11th day. A day after signing we called back to cancel since we found a company with better color options. However they would not allow us to cancel our order all of a sudden saying it needed to be 10 “business days”.
The salesman was a scam artist he knew what he was doing while in our living room (he also answered about 5 phone calls while taking our estimate and forgot to measure the staircase). We read through the contract and specially went 11 days out. However they will not honor it and are keeping our downpayment of almost $1000. This place has horrible customer service and I hope this review helps anyone out there looking for a “cheaper” flooring company. Go with Empire and pay a little more.

Please beware. Bruce the sales guy will talk the talk. Scam artist. Showed one carpet and send 2 different shades of carpet. When called to speak to customer service person, Samantha kept hanging up. DO NOT USE THEM. Pay a little more. Use someone else. Contact says the installer will remove the furnitures. The installer asked for extra $$. Called customer service and Ms. Samantha who doesn't know how to treat the customer decided she will call back. Never got a call back. Cheap carpet was installed and asked for full payment before they nailed down everything. I was asked to send pictures of the two shades of carpet. So I did. They have insisted it is the same color. Installer and Samantha called me the paying customer a nightmare. It was like blackmailing. Never someone from customer service hangs up on people. National Direct is scam.

I almost never write reviews. I believe strongly that we want to help our neighbor thrive in business, but I also believe that we want to warn others so that they don't make the same mistakes. I have no problem with this company's products, but their service is awful. We scheduled installation almost two weeks after the purchase. This company simply failed to show up. Since I had to miss work to get the installation done, I simply asked for the price to be lowered. They refused.
I asked to be let out of the contract, but they claimed that they didn't have the product. This is a blatant lie since the lady on the phone all day of the installation kept promising to send them over up until 6pm! Since they wouldn't let us out of the contract, I rescheduled with them. On the date of reschedule, they never rang the doorbell when they showed up. I called them back just a few minutes after noticing that my phone had rang, but they had already left. This company is so unprofessional and awful. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM.

If having your carpets and floors installed by shady migrant workers in rental vans are your thing, call National Floors Direct. If arguing with customer service, who by all means seems always ready to battle, call National Floors Direct. If being threatened to pay before the work is complete by the same shady migrant workers before the work is done only to have them drive off when you're not looking, call National Floors Direct. If having them tell you "well it shows on our system your carpet has been installed" when in fact it hasn't. But that's what their shady migrant workers told them cause they don't speak English. Call National Floors Direct... Honestly after reading most of these reviews or the ** reviews on other pages and you still use them, you get what you deserve. Btw, a five star rating gets you a Amazon gift card...

Unhappy Customer in CT: Services paid and not rendered -- NFD Avon MA & Astoria NY. 6/9/18 Visit NFD sales rep - (pushy) deposit for kitchen floor only. 7/20/18 Installation Date. 7/21/18 6:30 am 64 pictures taken of installation issues and non-completion of floor. 8/11/18 appointment for them assess floors and fix what they are able to -- no calls no show, 2 calls made to NFD installation department unsuccessful run around 1 call to NFD installation department to tell me at 4 pm that they are not coming. An ENTIRE day wasted. 8/18/18 - (today) appointment for the team leader and his crew to be here at my door at 9 am to work... No show changed by dispatch to 4-5 pm. They will call 1/2 before -- I have a baby shower to attend! This is unacceptable (I am going above & beyond on my part to make arrangements to leave & return this baby shower).
July 23, 2018 --- I spoke with >>> on Saturday 7/21/18 at 11:47 am and he recommended that I send just 10 Pictures of installation of my floors, I do have a little more so you can see. First I want to say that Paul and his crew was very nice and they were there a long day 8 hours and it was hot out. However just the same I feel for the money that was paid the job that was done was unacceptable. I think it is from lack of communication on both National Floors Direct and the installer type of job, concrete floor molding etc. I did not sign for the job complete as it is not, the installer also took pictures as well. All the above pictures were taken before 7 am on Sunday morning there are 64 pics in total. All I am looking for is a huge discount for the trouble as well as it to be installed correctly. I feel the following needs to be addressed!
First and foremost the molding that was sent was 3/4" and I was to get 1/4 inch. on the agreement. There are peel ups and holes in the floor 16 spots to be exact. There is indent in the floors itself, like your standing in a hole (this would be where they didn't connect the underlayment). Starting at the landing it is not finished, and there is exposed nails on the carpet which was suppose to be removed per the contract agreement. Bottom of stairs the moldings and the thresholds to the doors come up and easily move -- closet no molding at all. The moldings from point a to point z in the entire kitchen is unacceptable --- caulking was used as a filler? The cove base brought was dark brown, so they used one that I had (either or as you can see just by under the stove it is incorrectly installed?) I don't think color would have mattered. I will take the cream color as you will need to replace this as well! The threshold from kitchen to living room is totally installed improperly and they are going to have to move it back a bit also. There is a piece of flooring that needs to be installed by water heater as well. Lastly I paid for them to move the stove/fridge/washer/dryer and move back. My assumption is that it was level and you need to level when put back. Well they did ask me how they did it? You are correct they used extra flooring as shimmy's to level it. This is unacceptable!
On a good note is I really like the floors, it looks great from a distance and I can't wait to get the rest done, however $ is an issue and I have to do it this way. I originally thought that I would want them back, but after seeing the shimmy job I'm not sure that I want them back. Again they are very nice and they did work hard and I appreciate it, but even though my place is not the best, just by making a flooring purchase I am trying to make improvements needed and wanted, after all it is my home. Can someone please contact me as soon as possible for resolution of the above? My letter was nice and I have been nice through this process, however at this point I am FED up and I'm being totally treated unfairly along with a job I paid for not being completed! Although the FACTS and large issues listed above what I have not mentioned is the time, phone calls and stress between. ONE HUGELY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER IN CT!

They installed a carpet and there was rip and I showed them a picture and they decided it was rip caused by me when it was not but why do they advertise that the carpet is guaranteed for life. I called the customer service. They put on hold and told me they would call later on in the day, they never did. I did this 5 times and no one ever called me back. The manager named Cliff told me it was felony to dispute a charge, I guess I'll be going to jail.

NATIONAL FLOORS DIRECT BEWARE!!! I had a kitchen floor put in a week and a half ago, the installers were great, however after they left I found a small section of the border that was missed. I called them the next day with the issue and only today did I get a call telling me that because I signed the release form for the installers to leave, I CANNOT HAVE THEM BACK TO FIX THE ISSUE. They were great with Customer Service up to the Install, but now that I have an issue, I cannot have this resolved.
They also took the filter off my fridge and left it on my counter which I also noticed after they left. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. Their customer service after the fact is unheard of. How dare they say they can't come back in my home because I signed the release. They got my money, and I can't have this issue fixed. I am outraged!!! This company needs to be shut down... And why haven't they been the way they treat the public.

I thought I was buying solid wood flooring, but was misrepresented. It is fall-a-particle board. Installation was faulty, nothing is flat, plumb, or square. I am reporting this company to the Attorney General in Massachusetts. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH NATIONAL FLOORS DIRECT.

My experience with National Floors Direct was for the most part very positive. I was very upfront with the sales representative that came to the appointment in what I wanted and he was pretty no nonsense and seemed to have a lot of confidence in the company that he was representing. I was pleasantly surprised regarding the price that was quoted, which was middle of the road in terms of competitors in the area. The only two slight concerns I had was that the sales representative was not able to show me samples of the padding that would go under the carpeting. He vaguely mentioned some moisture lock protection when I asked if the padding would have that protection. However upon seeing the padding on the day of installation it did not look like the samples of moisture protection padding I had seen from competitors.
The other matter was that replacing molding was definitely discussed and the sales rep had mentioned that the installers would take out the warped existing molding and "make it look nice". This was miscommunication as I removed that broken down molding to make the process easier, but was told that molding had not been ordered. Now, I have some areas that should have molding but do not. This was rather disconcerting and when I reached out to corporate they simply said that it was not on the work order and that I should make a note on the completion document. There was no room on the completion document for that to be written down.
I do have to say based on these two factors I reconsidered my decision to refer a friend on a larger project to this particular salesperson, but I did mention my overall experience with NFD. What slightly made up for a lot of it was the efficiency of the installers. I had a great group of installers and they did a great job spending hours seaming and installing the carpet.

We had an install for 8/3 that was cancelled at 10:30 in the morning. We rescheduled for 8/6 and 1 person came to install tackless carpet in our dining room, hallway and up and down stairs. Although he did install the carpet we did not know there were staples put in as this was not in the paperwork. We cannot walk barefoot on this carpet as we now have staples sticking out. I called National Floors Direct and someone from customer service said we now need to take a hammer and hammer down the staples. We are both in our sixties, have health issues and were never told this would need to be done as the carpet is tackless. I have called for two days, been kept on hold and although they have my # no one has called back. We paid $2500 for a carpet we now cannot walk on.

The service was great and professional. There were two guys that moved furniture, installed carpet and put my furniture back within two hours. I received a phone call at least 20 minutes before arrival which gave me time to pack up my puppy up to go to the dog sitter. One guy arrived to access the work they needed to do and returned with the other man to do the work. They played their music as they showed all signs that they enjoy what they do. They packed up their stuff cleaned up and discarded the leftovers. The work was done to my satisfaction. I would recommend the company to a friend. Looking forward to the installation of my hardwood floors. I expect the service to be the same.

My experience with National Floors Direct was very satisfactory in each stage. It begun when I used the very customer oriented database to schedule a time for their professional estimator to visit our home at a time convenient for my wife and I. The estimator came within the scheduled time frame and was very helpful with the decision making process. He had a wide variety of choices for us to view and gave great opinions as to what would work well in the space we were working on. He then setup a time for the installation only three days away, and on a Saturday which was most ideal for us as we both were working during the week.
The installation was also very quick and easy and the company employees did a wonderful job. They discussed the plans I had made with the estimator beforehand just to confirm everything that I had requested before beginning work. They finished the installation and had me review everything they had completed to make sure I was completely satisfied which I absolutely was. When they left they even gave me extra rolls of the carpeting in case I wanted to use it elsewhere which I had not thought of but was very helpful. All in all, I had a great experience with National Floors Direct.

Our experience with National Floors Direct: We were very happy with our choice to use Nationals Floors Direct to replace the low grade carpets that were previously installed in our new house. I was amazed at how quickly we were able to make an appointment. It also suited our schedule and the representative was knowledgeable and a joy to work with. She was able to explain our options well to us and explained the process of payment and installation with clarity.
On the day of installation the crew arrived right on time and they were pleasant and easy to work with. I couldn’t believe how quickly they ripped out the old carpets and started prepping the new ones to come in. They did everything very cleanly and efficiently and they were courteous about closing the doors behind them. I was also really happy to find there was not a strong smell at all from the carpets. I’d thought we would need to leave the house that night to sleep but we left a fan on and a window open and there was no problem at all. Our purifier didn’t pick up any trace of air pollutant either. Pretty amazing. We have beautiful new Carpets that really upgraded the look and feel of our home.

Overall our National Floors Direct experience was good. Our sales person, Troy, was fantastic. Very responsive and knowledgeable about the products. He made great recommendations on what was going to work for it lives with small children and pets, but still budget friendly. Installation was not as smooth. The van apparently broke down the morning of our installation (which I had to take work off for.) They rescheduled for 3 days later.
Then that morning it was raining. When the person arrived it was an argument because they didn't want to install with rain and wanted to reschedule again. We had cleared our garage so they could still install that day just as our sales person told us to. We were not happy at the prospect of rescheduling yet again. It was my kid's playroom and frankly a week without a playroom and all their toys moved to another room was enough. Reluctantly, they installed that day anyway. The room came out fantastic in the end, despite the slightly longer timeline. We're very happy with the quality.

On Saturday, the carpet installers did actually show up to complete the carpet on the floating stairs. Although I had explicitly asked for and was assured by you, for a phone call one half hour ahead of their arrival, that did not occur. This is possibly because neither of the installers spoke any English. Fortunately my daughter was at the house waiting for them when they arrived. They completed the job and it appeared that they did a decent job.
However, when I went to the house to inspect the job today, the carpet is already pulling loose from several of the stairs. Also, upon further inspection of the vinyl flooring, it appears that the installers put it in too tight and it is buckling and breaking in several areas. This has caused very sharp pieces of vinyl to stick up from the floor. They are sharp enough to cut someone's foot. Given that NFD employs unlicensed installers, I believe you have a serious liability issue here on top of all the other problems this company has caused us. This and the issue with the stairs needs to be rectified immediately.
As you are aware, our experience with National Floors Direct has been nothing short of disastrous. Promises by your Sales Representative, Brian **, of three consecutive days for installation by a professional team of installers including clean up of the job afterward, were a complete lie. Apparently, no one at National Floors Direct bothers to check to see if the products needed to complete a job are available as we now have been postponed for completion of the vinyl floor installation until August. 10, 2018 due to an unforeseen back order of the bullnose for the living room stairs.
The man and woman you employed for the initial carpet installation left the house in shambles, didn't complete the job, lied about someone telling them that the carpet didn't look right on the stairs because the backing showed through so they didn't have to do the work and then signed off the job with your Customer Satisfaction Report, forging my signature and giving themselves a positive review.
As I have explained, no one was at the house when they were there. Your response of "it's your word against theirs" is nothing short of shocking as no one would sign off on a job with the condition my parents' home was left and the fact that the job had not been completed at that time. And NOW we have significant issues with the quality of the work. I have photos documenting all of the above information. Please advise as to how National Floors Direct plans on dealing with all of these issues.

I'm guessing people that use National Floors Direct (NFD) and don't have any issues or problems might very well be happy with this company. However, let me tell you what happens when things DON'T go as expected. Met with sales person in my home and selected my carpet for one bedroom in a second home. Filled out all types of forms - and was told my the sales person to call him at any time if I have any questions or need anything. My installation was scheduled for 7/31. The day of the installation I had to phone them in the morning as nobody called to confirm my "window" for the installation. I was told my installation was between 3:00-6:00PM. I arrived the home at 1:00 just in case they might arrive early. By 5:30 no word from NFD and no installers.
I phoned the company and was told they should be there between 6:00-6:30 and somebody would phone me. No call back. Phoned again at 6:30. Answer service only available. They took my number and said somebody would phone me. No call back. I phoned NFD again at 7:30. Again left message with answering service. No call back. At 8:30PM nobody had contacted me from NFD and nobody showed up. I left the house.
The next morning NFD phoned to ASK ME IF INSTALLATION was done. I explained the situation and the person said she would phone me back in 30 minutes. Two hours later she phoned back and rescheduled for August 9th. What! More than a week later after a NO SHOW and NO CALL. She explained how happy I would be with the carpet, and could care less that I wasted an entire day. I asked to speak to manager and she said she can't allow that. I sent an email to their "we want to hear from you" complaint email address. I got a call back the next day from a "manager". He could of cared less and made every excuse under the sun. He offered $200 off NEXT installation and I explained I would never use NFD again.
Folks, use local companies to have your floors installed. NFL is an unprofessional organization. No recourse when they have an issue. I wanted my money back but they refused. I plan to contact the attorney general's office too. The installers showed up yesterday and put the carpet in. They were much more professional and pleasant to deal with than NFD. By the way, you can't use a credit card with NFD and after the initial deposit COD (certified check/money order) only accepted. Seems sketchy to me too. I would never use them again.

We decided to use National Floors Direct for our carpet needs because of the price and quality of carpet. Our salesman was on time and was knowledgeable on our flooring needs. He was accommodating in regards to our needs. Scheduling the install was easy and we received confirmation as promised. The day of install our installers arrived within the projected timeframe. Our installers were professional, used caution in moving our furniture and worked efficiently. They cleaned up nicely and we are very pleased with the final project. We had a great experience with NFD. Not only were they friendly and courteous, but they also beat out our other quote by 2k! The sales rep was knowledgeable and had lots of samples for us to look at. As a previous customer of National Floors Direct 10 years ago. I was curious to see if their service was as good as last time. We shopped other national brands first, however the sales team of national floors direct were hands down the best. They arrived on time, didn't push any specific product to meet their own sales goal. Simply asked questions to make sure they understood our needs and offered suggestions on colors to match. Install occurred within one week. I had my floors redone by NFD this past weekend. I was very pleased with the company that came out to do my floors, the customer service I received, and the salesman that came to my house in the beginning. I was going to go with Empire Floors but decided against it because they were not honest with me. NFD was honest and attentive and gave me exactly what I asked for. A representative came to my home on July with samples of flooring to provide an estimate. The samples that are shown are not the product that the installers show up with. I could only assume they provide you with a quote and then try to find the cheapest flooring closest to your choice. The flooring was as thin as cardboard and per the installer, they would have to be installed without underlayment. I called customer service and the person who answered was rude and a racist. He told me I was illiterate and that I could not read. I want nothing to do with NFD ever again and was told that my $750 deposit is forfeited and that I would be sued for the remainder of the quote.

We ask our customers to check the flooring boxes for brand, style and color prior to any installation. Both the sample boards and the product itself is provided by the manufacturer. There is no possibly way that the samples are different from the product that arrives to your home.

On July 9 2018 my husband David and I had Thomas ** from National Floors Direct in our home to give us an estimate on flooring for a great room that is being built onto our home. We had tentatively set a date of August 4th for installation to be done. Mr. ** stated if the addition wasn’t going to be ready for the floor to call National Floors Direct 72 hours prior to installation to avoid the restocking fee and reschedule. Our contractor told us on 7/29/2018 that we are behind because of rain delays. I called National Floors Direct to reschedule on 7/29 at 1:02 pm from my phone number that National Floors Direct has on file to reschedule for the weekend of August 17th, during conversation the rep stated that they could install on the 18th.
The 3rd of August National Floors Direct started calling saying they were coming out on the 4th. I advised that we rescheduled back on 7/29 for August 18th due to our contractor delay on the addition the rep put me put on a brief hold and came back and said, "Sorry we called you In error." The following morning on August 4th they called again. Left a message saying they were coming out today.
I immediately called back and advised that I am not scheduled for today. We were having them installed on the 18th. The gentlemen proceeded to tell me that there are no notes of any conversations previous with me on the account, at this point I asked to speak with supervisor. The supervisor got on the phone very harshly. Said I never called and they were keeping my money and not only were they doing that but if I wanted floors put in on the 18th that we would now have to pay $1900.00.
My contract was for $1600.00 with a $540.00 deposit... What they did is deceptive practice trying to keep money that does not belong to them by not notating the account of the consumer, I called well prior to the 72 hour install date... We did speak to a women named Liz later that morning on August the 4th who said, "I believe you called and rescheduled and I will have your floors put in on the 29th of August without a restocking fee and your funds you paid would be applied." And then she put me on hold she came back and changed her mind and said management won’t allow.
This conversation was recorded. I also have the Verizon wireless call record from 7/29 at 1 pm showing that I spoke to them for about 8 minutes... Apparently they must need my money that bad to be so deceptive!!! I filled complaints already and have no issues proceeding legally. At this point I could care less about the $540 they stole from my children’s mouth. They won’t starve but I can assure you this process will be done to make sure this kind of deceptive practice doesn’t happen to anyone else???

I reached out to National Floors Direct for my new carpet because I have dealt with your company in the past and I was very satisfied with my experience. The two young men that completed my installation on 6/9 were very courteous and professional. They shook my hand when they greeted me in front of my house. They asked me to confirm that they had the correct carpet. They moved the furniture without damaging anything, which I really appreciate. They removed my old carpet and padding and installed the new carpeting within two hours! They cleaned up everything and vacuumed a small amount of dirt that was tracked in from outside. They worked very hard and I am very impressed with the great job they did. I am very happy with my new carpet and I will not hesitate to use National Floors Direct in the future.

I called on 7/19/18 to inquire about their services and I needed to get back to them as I had another appointment. Today is 8/4/18 and they have called me no less than 45 times since my initial call. Today I answered and asked for a supervisor and spoke to Jeff. I told his calls were harassing and excessive and they needed to stop. His response to me was “you should have answered your phone.” He was rude, dismissive and condescending and disrespectful. I would NEVER use or recommend this company. I had a great experience with National Floors Direct! It was so easy! I requested an appointment online, and got a quick call back to set up the appointment. The home visit started on time. The salesman brought several tiers of product for me to choose from and quoted me prices for each level. They were very flexible with the install date to accommodate my painting and furniture delivery. The installation crew were on time, quick, and did a beautiful job. So I had ordered my floors late June. They were supposed to be installed July 10, I received a phone call day before they were due to be put in saying the floor I order was on back order and they couldn’t do them until the 17, fine. Then the 26 I received another call saying they couldn’t do them until August 1, I needed to be in my apartment by then- discount? No. Pick a new floor, yes. The guy came in with ONE sample which would have not looked good in my place came back with a shade lighter again, not looked good. I picked a new floor set to be installed the following Thursday. The installers were awesome but when I asked for some compensation due to my inconvenience I got a world of stuff. Customer service sucks, installers are great.

I had a really good experience with National Floors Direct. I had a unique situation where I was going to need a large amount of flooring installed next day, and some additional flooring installed at a later date. The sales guy (Gil) was very polite and friendly. He gave me his honest opinion of what would work in the different rooms. I was able to get a carpet in the color family I wanted installed next day. The installation crew was very polite, and tidied up before they left. The carpets are holding up well and my 1 year seems to love how soft they are as he rolls around all over them. I would recommend working with national floors direct especially if you need a quick install.

They work with you and make it affordable and in your budget. The installers showed up right on time and worked right through, very hard I must add. We have had a great experience using National Floors Direct. We were on a time crunch to get the floors done before having company at the house. The salesperson was at the house the day after calling. We needed a specific hardwood to match existing flooring and the salesperson found what we needed. It was arranged to have the floors installed within 10 days. The installers were very prompt and worked all day to complete the job. They did a great job removing the old floor and laying the new floor. They left the house very clean. We will be happy to use National Floors Direct in the future when we need flooring.

I had a wonderful of experience with my new carpet and National Floor Directs. The sales man was wonderful and gave us a great price. The scheduling process was easy. The workers who should up were respectful and hardworking. They were here most of the day doing the whole upstairs, and answered and questions I had. My only complaint is that they carpeted over a vent and someone has to come back out to cut a hole. Overall I was very happy, and would recommend National floors direct!

National Floors has been very easy and great to work with. I scheduled an appointment with a rep who was very friendly. We did have a little mix up for our appointment which was on a Saturday and apparently was scheduled with someone who was not on the schedule for that day. Our appointment was cancelled due to this but then a rep called back within 10-15 minutes and said another in Home consultant would be able to assist us.
We were thrilled and consultant Cristina came out and worked with us. She was very knowledgeable and patient with us as we needed time to discuss. She worked with us and our needs and a week later we had the installation! Our time slot was from 9-12 and the crew showed up around 945 and was able to get my entire kitchen done in 4 hours. They were very respectful and cleaned up after themselves very well. We are very pleased with the finished product and will be recommending this company to all our friends and family!

I recently had laminate flooring placed in my condo. The process from beginning to end was very seamless. I placed a phone call and made an appointment and the representative came to my house. He measured my entire first floor, Living Room, Dining Room and Kitchen and showed me the different types and styles of laminate flooring. We discussed a previous quote that I had gotten from another company and he assured me that National Floors Direct would beat the price, which they did. I made the purchase and the appointment to have it installed. I was pleasantly surprised that my appliances can furniture would be moved by the contractors, which helped a lot. The job was done in one day, just as advertised. My floors look beautiful and the job transformed the first floor of my house. I would recommend National Floors Direct to anyone and I will definitely place another order when the time comes.

I placed in order for carpet installation on June 27th 2018 (order #**). We weren't completely satisfied with the carpet selections but wanted to lock in the price and was told by our salesman that he would text pictures of other options when he stops by the warehouse tomorrow. The salesman stopped responding to me so I decided to cancel my order within the 3 business days. I thoroughly read through the contract that states I have the right to cancel within 3 business days starting with the next day. The contract also states to refer to the cancellation policy for more information.
I thoroughly read through the cancellation policy which provides the order number, the transaction date and the cancel-by date, all handwritten and filled out by the salesman. My salesman wrote that I had to have the cancellation form mailed in by midnight of 7-2-2018. I stopped by my local USPS and told them I need to have it certified and received by that date.
I contacted NFD to confirm they received it and was told they did and that it was going to be processed and my refund will be in 10 business days. After more than two weeks passed by I contacted NFD and was now told that my cancellation was denied because the letter was late. They confirmed that it was indeed received on 7-2-2018 but that it was a day late because they consider Saturday a business day.
I told them that their salesman must not be aware of that since he wrote in the cancellation form that it had to be received by midnight on 7-2-2018. I spoke with customer service many times fighting this case and was treated very rudely. I spoke to Cliff (supervisor) who could not help. He even on hung up the phone on me. He told my wife that his employees were frustrated that we're being persistent with calling and that was the reason for the rudeness.
The salesman came back to my house and confirmed that he indeed wrote 7-2-2018 on the cancellation form and believes he was correct. I called Cliff again and was told that the contract states 3 business days and that I should have known Saturday was a business day. I asked where I could find that information and he did not know. It is not written on the contract or anywhere. I searched online and couldn't find anything. Besides, it was written in my cancellation form that the letter was due by midnight. I did exactly what was written for me to do and they continue to deny returning my deposit of $940.

Please compare this review with others. NOTE: IF MY ISSUES ARE WORKED OUT TO OUR MUTUAL SATISFACTION. I WILL UPDATE THIS REVIEW. There are similarities of problematic issues with other reviewers. At first I was very happy with my experience with Bruce the salesman. However, five days before installation, I tried to have Bruce get back to me with regards to a product question. He never got back to me and not until three days before installation was I told by customer service how I could find the answer to my product question. At that time, I requested a change of installation date because of a family emergency with my 90 year old mother. They refused to make any changes stating they would have to charge me a $250 restocking fee because it was not 72 hr notice but 48 hr notice. Of course this was contrary to the actual three day notice required. Three days before installation on a Friday is Wednesday.
Anyway I did not argue and accepted their decision to not change install date and had to accept that my emergency needs would not be accommodated by National Floors Direct. HOWEVER later that same day, when they were confirming the install date, they refused to accept what I had initially noted in my contract that in emergency situations I would not pay the $250 restocking fee and I will not pay in full UNTIL the job is completed. I am writing this prior to giving them a chance at solution because I TODAY I have had no luck working my concerns out with them AND Cliff the supervisor was not available to help me. So, I have become concerned that the only reason a contractor demands full payment prior to job completion is because they have had people refuse to pay them.
This means one of two things only...either the customer is a thief...or the contractor does unsatisfactory work with unsatisfactory product. Usually it is the contractor that is unsatisfactory. Rarely it is the customer. A company that expects full payment prior to installation is revealing that they are not confident in their installers' work and or their product. My ALERT ANTENNA is up and I am very concerned. Presently I am waiting for tomorrow morning to talk to the Supervisor CLIFF who is mentioned in other customer reviews to discuss my concerns. I have already given them $1000. It is not the many thousands others have lost but I am concerned.
I am now stating for the public and in writing that I will pay in full on the day of installation only upon completion of the installation to my satisfaction on product and install. I want to have this work done. I want to pay for the product I have ordered and the expert craftsmanship I expect as per their own claims. Please Cliff let us work together to settle my concerns. Upon completion of this job, I will update this review and I will recommend National Floors if that recommendation is founded.
Updated on 08/08/2018: Wait on signing THAT contract with National Floors Direct. On Fri, Aug. 3, Installers arrived within time frame. I was excited. They went to work immediately. Then...INSTALLATION HAD TO STOP. One reason was that the product wasn't acceptable. There should have been an easy solution. Apparently not. Today is Aug 7. Have you ever prepped your home for flooring? My office, living room, and hallway are in my bedroom, kitchen, and on my porch. Living with a partial floor is "a joy" as well. You actually learn how to avoid the uneven floors and use a hammer against exposed nails. I am still negotiating with National Floors Direct. It is my HOPE THAT MY NEXT AND LAST UPDATE WILL BE MORE PLEASANT OR THAT YOU WILL NEVER SEE MY REVIEWS AGAIN.

National Floors exceeded my expectations. Bill from sales was on time with the review and estimate. He came prepared with multiple samples and even had carpeting since we are doing a stair runner. Your installers sold me. Edwardo and team were phenomenal! These two gentlemen worked their butts off completing 4 bedrooms, hallway and 6 closets in the time estimated. The first day Edwardo even asked, "Will you be sleeping upstairs or down," and re-assembled the bed for my wife and I. Attention to detail is shown around the great cuts near stairwell. Each day they left the area clean, no sharps left exposed as we have 2 little kids who also slept upstairs. When we can financially afford to do our downstairs hallway and kitchen floors I would like these two installers to do it. I’ve since recommended National Floors to my family.

We had a bathroom flood our family room and needed a carpet installed ASAP. National Floors Direct was the first call I made and were extremely accommodating to our circumstance and were able to come to our house the next day to show us samples to get the process moving since we had exposed floor with small children. They were able to change some appointments around and came to the house the next morning. The salesman, Cliff, who came to our house was very knowledgeable about the different types of flooring and what would be the best material for the room we were doing. He knew we were in a hurry and made calls directly to the warehouse to see which products would be able to install immediately.
When the installers came, they were early, but waited for me to come home and were very nice and understanding, as well as the customer service for national floors direct. They communicated with the installers and made sure they waited for me to come home since they had arrived early. The installers worked quickly and were helpful and careful moving the furniture and putting things back where they belonged. Overall, it was an easy process and I love the carpet they installed.

National Floors Direct did an awesome job at my Restaurant. As a commercial business I was worried that they would be in over their head. They came in way under price compared to the other estimate I got. They showed up on time and were very professional. I had to have a crew on hand to move all of the furniture out of the building and I was worried that they wouldn’t show or would show up too late in the day to finish (we are closed Mondays so we needed it done in one day). They gave us a window of 9 am to noon. And they showed at exactly 9 am!! They were done by 1:30 pm.
I highly recommend this company and when I get new carpets in my house I will definitely be calling National Floors Direct. And next time we need new carpets at the restaurant I will call them first. My only complaint would be that prior to installation, as the customer I would have liked more information on when the installers were gonna show (maybe a shorter window or contact with the installers directly the day before installation). But overall I would highly recommend National Floors Direct!!

This is our second time using National Floors Direct. Our sales guy was able to come to our house after work at a time that was convenient for my wife and I. He had enough samples to allow us plenty of choices for our new flooring. We were able to select an installation date that coincided with a furniture delivery the following day. The installers were there on time and went to work immediately. They did a complete cleaning after the old flooring came up and once again after they left. The new carpet looks (and feels) great. I would definitely use NFD again.

Floors were not like samples at all. I could deal with that but installers... 2 guys that did not speak English... not a big deal but absolutely no ability with finishing... quarter. Round not consistent... cut ends evident where they should have done corners. You get what you pay for... won't make this mistake again... at 6000.00 it was a costly one.

We recently purchased our vinyl flooring, as well as the installation from this company (April 20th), which we believed was esteemed. However after approximately two weeks later (May 4) when we came to the house, we noticed bubbles in the floor. There are several areas where the vinyl flooring was bubbling up and it created lumps throughout the floor. A few lumps were noticed by the closet when you first enter the house. Additionally there is a huge lump going from one wall to another directly in the middle of the first floor and another big one about 6 feet from the first one. We were highly displeased that the floor was already lumping up two weeks after installation. My husband spoke to the Customer Service department and they advised us to email pictures as well as a written summary to via email. We proceeded to do that and did not hear back from anyone.
At this point my husband called the customer service department again and he was informed that they did not receive the email so we sent another email with the same information and we were advised that someone would be in touch with us in 7-10 business days, which of course did not happen. Another two weeks passed and our frustration was also increasing. When we met the sales rep, we were informed that customer service was a priority and any issues would be addressed. We really did not feel like the company is living up to expectations.
On June 9, my husband called for the third time to speak with customer service and again we were told that the file was being reviewed and a sales manager would call us back in a half hour with more information, again that did not happen. After an hour we called again, now for the 4th time, only to be told that it was not an installation issue, there was an issue with our subfloor and that nothing can be done on your end. This is unbelievable, especially since the whole subfloor is new, we recently did an extensive renovation on the house. The manager, we spoke to did not seem at all concerned about the fact that we were beyond upset with the service we received, he continued to say that there was nothing he could do.
We spent $6500 on this floor and installation and we did not even get the courtesy of someone saying, "We will come inspect it and see what can be done." This is the worst experience I have had, we basically got the runaround for over a month and only to be told within an hour that it is somehow our fault that the brand new floor, which was purchased and installed by their company, buckling is our fault.

I had a laminate floor installed 8 months ago. Some of the seams are very noticeable and I felt they were not as flat as some of the planks. They informed me that I only had 3 months to contact them after day of install. When I asked for a representative to please come out and check, they told me I have to install a dehumidifier or air conditioner. Which I have both. Also, the molding they installed was pieced in three places for a 4 foot length. They also covered part of a switch plate with molding, that I cannot change. So, they do not warranty their product or installation. I just feel that I paid a lot of money for low quality product. I suggest you do your homework. They will tell you anything before the contract is signed!

When any issues fall under either warranty, then it is addressed immediately. Did you ever contact the company regarding your issues? According to our files, there has been no contact since your installation in October 2017.

The experience with National Floors Direct was awesome! The representative who came to our home to measure/give us a quote was professional and very helpful. He went over our options and concerns. At no time was he pushy, unlike your competitors to make a deal. Even worked with his manager to get us an outstanding deal on some terrific carpeting. The phone representative was fantastic. Called us to remind us of the installation date and asked if we had any questions.
Day of installation was flawless! Installers called in the morning. Told us what time they would arrive. They were on time and did a fantastic job! After seeing a commercial to TV for National Floors Direct, I called to schedule a consultation. My sales consultant, John, arrived at my house right on time. John showed all of the flooring options and pointed us in the right direction. After measuring our floor, John quickly came up with a quote. The quote was higher than what we wanted to pay, but NFD was able to adjust pricing to make it work for us. The installation was scheduled for 10 days from when we had our consultation. 2 days before installation, we had a confirmation call. The next day we had another confirmation call. The installers showed up to our house on time, and quickly installed the floor. Everything looks perfect and we are happy with the service with received. Thank you!

This is the second time I have used your services. The first time was in Massachusetts a few years ago. You installed a laminate floor in my large living room and it looked great. I just recently purchased a home in New Hampshire that will require various renovations. This was the first project in the kitchen and involved putting in your luxury vinyl planks. The process was seamless.
Jason was our salesman, he was on time, presented us with options, samples and pricing. We then scheduled a time and date. I ordered carpet for a guest room after pricing some decent carpet with another vendor. The sales rep at National Floors Direct came to my home, which saved me time and he was able to outbid the other vendor with a NAME BRAND carpet, which saved me money. Even though the room was small, I was surprised that they sent only one installer. He did such a great job! I never even heard him come downstairs with the old carpet or up with the new. He left no mess in the transfer. The installer was efficient and did an excellent job. He even vacuumed after he was done and took the mattress and box-spring I left in the hallway and put it back on the bed frame. I will definitely use National Floors Direct again! We retained NFD to (a) remove carpeting from 3 bedrooms and a short set of stairs down to hardwood, and (b) to remove and install carpeting in a master bedroom of my family's Ossining, NY residential property. The service date was last Friday, July 6th. Two days prior to service, NFD confirmed accommodations over the telephone that (1) I would leave the entry key in the realtor's lockbox on the front door with the check for payment inside; and (2) within an hour of completion, I would be called to inspect the work and fill out post-installation paperwork.
On the morning of the service day (Friday, July 6), I was called twice to confirm the appointment, each at different time windows (between 8-9am, and then between 9am-12pm). I was then called at 8:45 am that the service techs were at the house. I advised the service techs how to open the door (as I had instructed sales two days prior), and called customer service to confirm my agreement with the sales department that I'd be available to go to the house to confirm satisfaction. The service techs confirmed they would call me within an hour of completion to review the work.
When I failed to receive any correspondence by 2 pm, I called the service tech's cell phone. They were on the road! I asked whether the job was complete and was advised: "They told us to leave and that another team would come to remove the bedroom carpeting". I called customer service (Samantha, Linda, and Amber), who suggested I go to the house to confirm and call them back when I got there. I went to the house and found a mess. Carpet fibers everywhere: though the service techs removed and properly installed carpet in the master bedroom, they failed to vacuum up after themselves. They had also improperly installed fresh carpeting on the stairs, which was only supposed to be brought down to hardwood, also leaving carpet remnants and fibers everywhere. Moreover, they had completely neglected to remove the carpeting from the 3 additional bedrooms that I'd paid for.
I called customer service as After an hour on hold - and multiple disconnections - I had the privilege of speaking with "Cliff". I say that facetiously. Instead of an apology and promise to send a team to complete and correct the botched job, I was told I would be charged $250 for a restocking fee. This is despite the fact that the company's contract explicitly provides - under its "Setoffs" provision - that upon complaint and verification, the company will complete or repair improper work for no extra charge. There's no issue - by the service tech's own admission - the job was left incomplete and botched! I notice that the company appears to answer customer complaints on here, which is the only reason I'm offering this public opportunity to correct these wrongs. The company should otherwise expect more formal complaints served expeditiously.

We were happy to have a salesperson come to our home within days. He helped us choose a floor that matched some of our existing floors. This was my first time using National Floors Direct. I was a little hesitant as I didn't know what to expect. My husband I had just purchased an investment property and needed floors in within 2 weeks due to a pending rental. My husband I met with the salesperson who was extremely helpful. The salesperson was very thorough and explained everything and answered all our questions very pleasantly. We ended up picking a laminate flooring throughout our 1,400 s.f. house over the new higher end vinyl. We both thought their pricing was very reasonable and even though they could do the installation "the next day" it fit our schedule better to have them install the floors on the 2nd day instead. The installers took 1-1/2 days to do the floor which was no surprise and they did a fabulous job. I would not hesitate to use National Floors Direct again for another project or to recommend them to friends and family!

I am posting this review about six weeks after the install. I wanted to see how everything held up before writing the review. Well I had a great experience with National Floors Direct. I had my doubts about using National Floors, but they were very helpful. The salesperson explained everything in detail. So there were no surprises. They came right on time for the install, as a matter of fact came about an hour early. Great job. No complaints. The installers cleaned up after the job was complete. Removed all of the old carpet, were very respectful and they were very hard working, they moved all of the heavy furniture and put it back where it belonged. Carpet is exactly what we wanted and the price was better than some competitors. Will gladly recommend National Floors Direct to anyone.

My husband and I were very satisfied with the work performed on our floors. The price agreed to was honored. The workers showed up on time and stayed until they had completed the work. Our biggest concern was the current squeaking floor problem. The floors were almost creak free when they were done. Not much squeaking and it looked great. From the beginning I should have realized I would have a problem when the salesman demanded 30% down and insisted I have a Bank Check, Money Order or Cash ready for the installer upon arrival. I ordered two rooms of flooring and had a bank check ready on the day of install. They called me three times to confirm my install date and I waited 1.5 hours before they called to cancel and offered me a re-install date two days later. On the new date the installer arrived for one of the two rooms and told me a different installer will be arriving in the afternoon. I had one check so I told them I will pay after the second installer completes the work. This did not please them... They chastised me for trying to cheat them out of payment, they threatened to walk off the job if I didn't pay in advance. I held firm with my offer to pay in full after the last room was installed. The installer walked off the job.
One week later after I had no choice but to void the check and split it in two and suffer an outrageous $280 restock fee to finally get both floors installed. I might add that the installers did a great job and are not to be blamed for the main office rude behavior. It's apparent that they do not accept any other forms of payment and want their cash up front because they have a reputation of upsetting the consumer and do not want them to have any recourse. Avoid them like the plague!

We were encouraged to National Floors Direct on the basis of your excellent TV ads and your high rating with the Better Business Bureau. Our salesman, Brian **, was very thorough and business like. He explained every facet of contract and installation. He discussed some suggestions and recommendations that we thought made a lot of sense.
We were able to secure an installation date that was perfect for our schedules and just a couple days from Brian’s initial visit. The installer, Wiberson, was on time and equipped with everything he needed to complete the installation. He was efficient and very polite and finished our installation without a hitch. He took care of moving all our furniture to do his work and carefully replacing it to its original places. He cleaned up as he worked from room to room and left the site spotless. But best of all was the beautiful result of having handsome new Armstrong/Bruce oak flooring. It has greatly enhance the appearance of our home and we would highly recommend using National Floors Direct to friends and neighbors.

The workers worked tirelessly and did a fantastic job. My sister and I are very happy with our hardwood floors and also with our Berber carpet. Our National Floors experience was positive from beginning to end. We had 4 different companies come to measure and discuss their products/services, but we ended up choosing National Floors Direct for the overall experience of choosing carpet/hardwood and in conversation with the knowledgeable representative. We had a representative come to our home, measure, and offer us your services on Saturday 6/16/18. Through the thorough explanations of the products and installation, we chose a hardwood and carpet to be installed by NFD. The best part was that we scheduled the installation for 7 days later! We received an automated call telling us 12-4 would be the time, but they showed up at 10 am to start the hardwoods. Then, the carpet installers came a few hours later. All floors were done by 4:30 that afternoon, and we couldn't be happier with the quality and price. Thanks for making our home look stunning!

NFD was without a doubt a great experience. They were easy fast and the room looks great. They took care of all of my needs. I couldn't have been happier with the services from the beginning to the end. The price they gave was better than the competition and when they came to install the carpet they were early and completed the task at a rapid pace. Also they cleaned up after themselves. It was like they weren't even there.

This company is not good. I explained to the salesman John **, I was looking at three quotes for my flooring Job in my home. They were first apt on the same day. John appeared to be nice guy with good personality and showed me several carpets that might do what I needed, he showed me a vinyl flooring product as well. The carpet I chose was thin and very stiff. He told me it would soften up when the padding was under it. The vinyl flooring material I choose was out of stock so I had to decide on another product if I wanted delivery in ten days. The reason I'm telling you this is because they suggest a price comparison guarantee for fifteen percent off and no deal was on until after my three day right to rescind was up. So it was no brainer. I could cancel the deal if I liked the other companies product better. Having not seen it yet I gave the guy two checks for a deposit on the flooring 30% down.
Any way... Empire flooring arrived two hours later and right on time. They showed me a product that was far superior than the National Floors Direct carpet and their vinyl floor product was also a better product. I then changed my mind and went with Empire. I called John ** on his cell phone and informed him of my decision to not used National Floors Direct. I explained the product was just flat out better...and without even trying Empire was less expensive by $200.00. I asked John ** if I had to put stop payment on my checks or would he just rip up the checks or mail them back. He said he would. WELL two days later the checks hit the bank deposited. Luckily I had moved the money back to my savings account and the checks were returned unpaid. John Lied to me when he told me to call the company and cancel my order and he would back it up.
I did call the company. Mind you not two hours after I made the original deal and they in their customer support system said email them the quote and they would match it and give me 15% off. I emailed them and told them not to worry as I wasn't going with National because the product that Empire had was so much better. And I didn't want the other product they were selling. The snippy girl on the phone said someone will get back to me. They didn't. So my bank account I wrote the checks on is overdrafted... I should have put stop payment on the two checks. When I called John ** back at ** the real Jerk told me he couldn't just rip up the checks. He was really a jerk. And I told him I would be online reporting him and his company. If you're considering flooring I suggest you contact Empire as they at least are professional.
Updated on 06/201/2018: In my ongoing dispute with this company I spoke with Chris the main customer support associate at their main office in NY... another weasel. I ordered the job thinking it would be ok if I canceled in the three business days that followed just as the salesman lying through his teeth stated. As my previous review stated I told them I was also looking at others. The salesman John ** to be exact was very inefficient in explaining the agreement we were making. It appears line 21 of the checklist in which you initial, states if you want emergency service and delivery of your order in ten days you waive the right to rescind the agreement. So I ordered June 14th with a delivery date of June 29th.
Clearly not in the context of an emergency install. Well clearly there are more than ten days between order and delivery. Well Chris the head skunk says nothing he can do. The order is a contract and they're considering the 10 days in business days which does not include weekends... very frustrating. So they have my deposit. They refuse to return it. They are threatening to make me fulfill the contract as they think I waived my right to rescind. I did not. Exclusively I called the company the day I ordered it and explained. Flat out the product from Empire was better and cheaper. They offered to compare the quotes and give me 15% price lower than Empire.
I sent them the quote. No response. Finally I get a call from Samantha. And she says the quote from Empire was not the same materials as they were providing. And I said, "I know. They were better". So she refused to acknowledge this and totally blew off the price guarantee they advertise... saying Empire makes their own carpet and is not name brand and the carpet they were to provide was better. I disagreed. Overall this company NATIONAL FLOORS DIRECT is totally bogus, their customer relation skills are atrocious. They will take your money, with complete disregard for your rights as consumer and as the salesman is a jerk. JOHN **. Big heavyset dude. If he shows up on your doorstep forget about it.

Go anywhere but here for your flooring... From appointments being rescheduled to technicians being late to the job not being finished on time to the bad workmanship... All of it was a bad experience. They came out the middle of May and didn't finish, saying that they ran out of flooring. Took them 2 weeks to come back and the job is still not finished. They knocked my mailbox over with their van, and they broke my glass candle holder in the living room leaving the pieces on a bureau, thinking I wouldn't notice!
The moldings are done incorrectly and the sticker barcodes were left on them. There's a piece of the floor missing, and pieces of the floor sticking up that were installed improperly. I called after the installation to let them know I was not satisfied and they refused to fix any of it, they ignore my phone calls, and they tell me there's nothing I can do about it. They made me send countless pictures and still refuse to help. I have those pictures and will be bringing them to a lawyer if something isn't done. I already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, next is the Attorney General. They still have not fixed it and have not refunded my money.
National Floors Direct offers every customer an installation warranty with their floor-covering installations. If Ms. DiQuinzio has an installation-related issue with her recent floor-covering installation she can contact our customer service department to initiate a warranty claim for service under the warranty.

It all started with viewing your TV Commercial. That is what prompted us to call for an estimate. Once the salesmen came he was very well versed and offered an Array of choices. I knew within the 1st 15 minutes what flooring & carpet we would choose. Then we booked the job and prepared. The men came on Friday JUNE 8th at 11am and stayed till 8pm (9 hours). Saturday they were back at 9am and finished the job at 3:30 (6&1/2 hours). They did a WONDERFUL Job. Very clean respectful and professional. My neighbors LOVE my new flooring (I live in a gated community in Melville NY) and I believe you will get some business from it. Thanks again National Floors Direct!

National Floors Direct was a great experience from start to finish. The website was easy to navigate and making a FREE appointment was hassle free. I received a call from a customer service representative within minutes and the company worked around my schedule. The contractor who came out and measured the space was super pleasurable and really considered my personal needs. He helped us stay on budget and find a floor that would last. The gentlemen that came out and installed the floor were gentle in our home and even left the room better than they found it! Since the installation we can’t stop walking in the room just to admire what a beautiful job was done. I am so thankful we chose National Floors Direct for this project, they do not disappoint! I have so far had a terrible experience with National Floors Direct and would urge you to steer clear. After a sales rep came out to measure and prepare a quote, I agreed to hire them to install a runner on my stairs. Installer arrived at 3 PM today (for a 9-12 window for the installation of the runner) and said he was there only to remeasure since he needed to bind the runner, collect money (cash payment only!) for the job, and then return later to install it, up to 10 days later! None of this was explained to me by the sales representative who came to do the initial measure, which was apparently incorrect anyway.
The installation tech pointed out that the salesperson's measure had not taken into account that when replacing a runner you need to add an inch to cover any lines left by previous carpet. He was reluctant to proceed with any work due to the mistakes already made on the order. I have lost faith in the ability of National Floors Direct to carry out this job in a professional manner, particularly since it involves a steep staircase and could be a safety hazard if done incorrectly.
I called customer service to state that I would like to cancel my order, having missed a day of work for what even the person who confirmed the installation appointment was calling an installation but that later turned out to be a remeasure. I was informed, between being put on hold and disconnected several times in a rude way, that "cancelling is not an option" and that "I can't cancel because I signed the form." I was not provided with a copy of the information about any ten day wait period. I had been given a barrage of papers to sign very quickly, so much so that I had not even initialed any of the items on the installation form (which apparently was scanned into my order to be used by NFD later against me but not given to me at the appointment). I believe this not only shows the high pressure tactics used at the sales meeting, but also invalidates that part of the contract.
Furthermore, no one informed me that my installation appointment was not an installation appointment, even the person who called me to make sure I would be home for my installation and to make sure I would have cash to pay once the installation was complete. I am very unhappy with National Floors Direct and believe I am due a refund of my deposit due to their unprofessional sales tactics, poor communication, poor quality measurements, and lack of oversight of their employees. I have spoken to several people in their customer service department to no avail. I found this company to work on high pressure tactics that waste your time with an extended sales pitch and then rush you through the paperwork after wearing you out with all the sales talk.

You guys are much easier to deal with ten the other major floor covering company. You deliver what you promised, unlike the competitor who gave me such a hard time. Was kept informed of installation date and time as order progressed. Workers were kind and courteous. Workers were very neat and cleaned everything up after themselves. Although the weather was bad outside, they took care to clean up after themselves with wet shoes. Salesman was very knowledgeable and took his time in allowing me to make my choice of material. Salesman is someone I would look forward to working with again and he explained everything clear and concise. Overall experience with this company was positive from the time I picked up the phone to call you guys until the installers completed their job.

On my previous experience installing floor on my other apartment was a nightmare. They destroyed the baseboards and made holes on the walls. They even spill coffee on the brand new carpet. I ended paying a person to fix what they destroyed. This time I was a little bit afraid that the same thing happen. But the person that came to do the estimated made me felt more secure to go ahead with the project. The installation was completed on time. The installers were really friendly. Even with the language barrier (I speak English and Spanish, they speak Portuguese) they understand all my requests. I had a wonderful experience using your company. You made my home more beautiful. Do not use this company! From the start this was a bad experience, they cancelled on me the first time. Very unreliable, they lie to you, their installer broke my furniture, I called them to report it. They told me send them pics, no one got back to me when I called back. They said they are not responsible. The "supervisor" was nasty and told me she didn't have to help me cause they already "sold" me.

Very disappointed with the NFD customer service. I am a first time home buyer and felt very pressured by the sales rep that was sent to sell floors to me. Out of pressure I signed a contract and placed a deposit for the floor. I changed my mind and called the next day to cancel the order. The Customer Service Rep told me he would send a cancellation initiation to the order department and that I could only mail a letter requesting a cancellation. The company won't accept fax or email. He told me as long as my letter was postmarked within the three day cancellation period they would honor the cancellation. They received it the day after and refused to cancel the order, threatened to send me to collections and told me they have no record of my phone call to customer service. They were rude and lacked empathy and people skills.

Your purchase certifies that you were left with a notice of cancellation along with your purchase order at the time of sale. National Floors Direct did not and still has not received your noticed of cancellation; however, your order has been cancelled.

Overall my dealings with NFD were positive. Starting with the salesman who showed me the samples. He didn't try to sell me on any particular flooring. He was up to date with the different flooring and their pros and cons. The installers showed up on time and were professional. Right from the start they told me what they were going to do and if I had any questions. When they were finished, they cleaned the entire area. Before they left, they showed me the floor and asked if I had any concerns. I would use nfd again for my flooring needs.

I used the online request for a free quote and less than 24 hours received a callback. I was able to schedule an appointment at my convenience. NFD was the third company to come to my house. I was pleased with the NFD sales rep, Jason. He was personable and reviewed options and prices with me. I never felt pressured to make a decision.
Shortly after he left I received a call from one of the other companies with a much lower quote. When Jason's manager called to follow up on the visit I mentioned that to him. He authorized Jason to come back to my house and offer the same quote. My decision to go with NFD simply came down to the sales rep Jason. It's important to have the right people meeting with potential clients and I feel Jason was the right person and represented NFD well.

National Floors Direct is the worst company. They did a bait and switch with us. When I asked the salesman if formaldehyde was in their product he told me no. When I looked at the box that the installer happened to leave behind I saw a big warning sign that the floor that we had just installed in our home contained formaldehyde and was very bad for people with asthma to be around. I called the company and they basically told us we were stuck with it and that the salesman should not have lied to us. I was not able to make an informed decision about what was installed in my home since I was not told the truth. According to the Attorney General's office they have many complaints about this company. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

He worked extremely hard the entire time he was there. The carpet looks great and he cleaned up after the job as well. It was scheduled to rain so he worked quickly to get the carpet cut and inside. I made the unfortunate choice of using National Floors Direct to get hardwood and carpet installed in my new home. NFD works very hard to hide as much of the cost details as they can, so Customer Service can say literally anything to block you from a resolution. Everyone you speak with will have a different answer for you as to what you paid for and how much it costs, what is included and what is extra - completely depending on which answer shuts you down faster. And since the forms they give you apparently don't look anything like the forms they have on their side, you have no paper trail to point to.
We have been contacting NFD for weeks trying to get a resolution because they never installed the wallboard in our carpeted rooms. On the first call, we were told that the wallboard we installed in the hardwood rooms was an UPGRADE that we unknowingly paid for and we would need to pay to get the carpeted rooms to match. On the next call, I reminded them the back of the contract says there is wallboard included, and we didn't even get THAT. They said send pictures and they'd call back (they didn't). On the next call, they said we could have all the free wallboard we wanted, but it would be extra for the upgraded stuff.
Finally, I got all the way to management and demanded either a refund for the upgrade I didn't know they charged me for, or a free install of the matching wallboard. Management said the contract IMPLIES that wallboard is included only where it's applicable and it's not applicable in carpeted rooms. He also told me that I didn't pay for the upgraded wallboard, it was included free of charge. This is a direct contradiction to what I'd been told previously by two other employees, but they have a hidden the paper trail that I can't reference. I asked for a way to file a formal complaint and he told me "if I wanted to keep complaining, I could figure it out myself." I tried to get through to someone else through their Facebook team, email, and website contact, but I've been blocked or ignored at every point. (Literally blocked in the case of FB.) There appears to be an "ignore" flag on my name and orders.
Since NFD told us the wallboard was included in the price, we tossed the old wallboard when we refinished the room so all the new wallboard would be matching. My newly "refinished" bedroom is now UNfinished and I'm going to be out of pocket ANOTHER 400.00 to complete it. From the get-go it was a bad experience, high pressure sales techniques and promises that just weren't true, an installation team who was more interested in speed than quality, who argued with me about the entrance I asked them to use and then threw the old carpeting out my window and onto my garden causing damage because I didn't want them to use the front entryway which we'd just finished.
They also sent me on an errand to Home Depot, and never bothered to ask us which direction we wanted the floor laid (Hint: not the way it's laid), and my contractor (and my father who used to be a contractor) says the quality of their work is really below par. By the way, NFD has you fill out the customer survey ABOUT the installation team while they watch, and you have to hand it to them! So good luck if you hate conflict.

I recently reached out to National Floors Direct for an estimate to rip out a stained section of carpet and replace with hardwood on my second-floor hallway. A salesperson came to my house within 2 days with some samples and went over the process with me. She then offered me 3 quotes; the cheapest quote if I were to book on the spot. This was the second company I had come to quote for this project, and it was slightly less than the first company and the floor sample matched my existing wood better, in my opinion. So I booked NFD and they scheduled the install for approximately a week later. The installer arrived on time, completed the job satisfactorily, and swept up after himself, as well as removed the old carpeting. The entire process took about a week from start to finish. I’m pleased with the results so far, and hope the flooring lasts a long time to come.

I scheduled an appointment with National Floors Direct through their website on Saturday morning. Within the hour someone called me back to schedule the in-home consultation that afternoon. The process was quick and easy. There was a wide variety of colors and textures to choose from and we placed a deposit right away. An appointment was scheduled for the following Tuesday to have the carpet installed. The installation went well-- two of their employees came in and removed our old carpet, installed the new one, and cleaned up. We are very happy with the new carpeting in our attic. We had the stairs done, leading up to the attic, and the seams are not visible at all. National Floors Direct did a great job and we do hope to use them again for our future flooring needs.

We used National Floors Direct 10 years ago when we had our basement done. It has never worn, no rips or tears. Last month our basement flooded with the terrible rains we had in New England. We called National Floor Direct and they were out the very next day to examine. They then came a couple weeks later and installed our new rug. They were fabulous! My husband had just been in an accident so could not move any furniture or anything. They were right there for him helping in whatever was needed. They were on time, professional and so nice. You would not have known that we had a rug replaced except for the new rug smell!! Would highly recommend them to anyone!! Great job National Floors Direct!!!

We had a great experience with National Floors Direct. Rob was the salesman that came to our home and he was professional and very informative without being pushy. We were thrilled with how quickly our flooring installation could be scheduled, right in time for our holiday party. The product is a great quality, we’ve already received lots of compliments! Mario was our installation professional and could not have been easier to work with. He carefully moved our oven and refrigerator and took the time to sweep everything after he moved them back. We bought new baseboard trim as well as baseboard registers and he even offered to put those up for us. His work was meticulous and he was a gentleman. We had a previous price quote from a local vendor, not realizing that National Floors Direct would be able to beat that rate! Even before we learned that, we were happy with the time the salesperson spent talking with us about the options, listening to our concerns, as measuring our house. The following week, our installers came two mornings in a row and worked diligently to install our new stair carpeting and plank vinyl floors. They were professional, quick, and neat. I was honestly a bit nervous to go with National Floors Direct since I had never dealt with them before. However, the salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful and together, we picked a floor that took my vision and made it into reality. It took less than a week from picking the floor to having it installed, and I did not even have to empty my apartment of furniture. It was easy and very convenient! The floor is absolutely beautiful and was installed perfectly. Just as promised, I received a call with a time window and they arrived right on time. They were friendly, very professional, and worked quickly and expertly with no problems whatsoever. I recently had carpet installed on Friday April 27th. The guys that showed up are on time and we were respectful. They did a great job installing the carpet and moving the furniture. They were very quick. They were only there for about 3 hours. The guy that came to tell me the carpet was very friendly and nice. He didn't mind my animals which was nice. He also showed up on time and answered all my questions. The price was great Home Depot's price by about $50 which was good. All in all my experience with National Floors Direct was great and my father may be giving you a call to get some carpet installed in his basement.

Customer service did a great job keeping in touch with us and reminding us about our appointments. Jenn and I also cannot say enough about Brian! He is extremely knowledgeable about the company and very personable! We laughed throughout our whole consultation and it felt like we have known Brian forever! Their prices were competitive and the product we selected was wonderful. I cannot say enough good things about the installers - they were courteous, professional and easy to work with. I wish I read reviews before choosing NFD. Sales Rep was fantastic, however, after placing an order for carpet, 5 days later I wanted to change to wood flooring. The estimate received for wood several months back would not be honored, an additional charge of over $500 was incurred. I know I was not within the 3 day cancellation period so these people had me over a barrel. They are ruthless, I'm so sorry I listen to their hype about beating other companies. I am a senior, that is not taken into consideration, top dollar is their goal and when they know they "have you" they are without conscience. Please be very careful dealing with this company.

I contacted NFD (National Floors Direct) for floor covering for stairs and two other rooms. The sales person came to my home and spent several hours viewing samples and negotiating price. Finally at 9:00 pm he told me I needed to give him cash or a check. I just moved in and my checkbook was at work and no cash at hand. THEY WOULD NOT TAKE ANY TYPE OF CREDIT CARD because they had too many problems in the past. He told me he cannot guarantee prices unless I went to an ATM and got cash. Stupidly and trusting I did. The next day, feeling very un-trusting, I cancelled my order with: Customer Service, the salesperson and the Cancellation department. The cancellation department would not answer any of my questions as to when I would receive my refund. Over and over he repeated send in your cancellation notice, which I did immediately via USPS.
Two weeks went by and never heard from anyone. I called customer service and they said in the rudest manner possible that they did not receive my notice in time and I was not eligible for a refund. After much arguing he said he would see he could do. Never heard back. Called many times left messages. I was put on hold for an inordinate amount of time many times. Finally called back and got another rude, uncaring snarky customer service person who repeated over and over again laughing that I will not get a refund. I called the sales person several times who NEVER returned a call.
I called back and said fine, keep my deposit but I want to put it towards carpeting another room. I had decided I did not want the stairs covered. Preposterously I was told I could not I could the deposit for anything except the stairs. I am truly amazed and shocked by ongoing scams of this company. I cancelled immediate they ordered nothing. They had no out of pocket expenses, in spite of their lies. I look forward to your needed help and resolution.
Updated on 06/11/2018: Today I called and spoke to a receptionist trying to discern the name who I last spoke to. She read the notes and said there was no name listed in the notes. I challenged her. She then put me on hold, and returned. After more prodding she slipped and said she DID know who I spoke to but would not give me his name. YET ANOTHER PERSON AT NFD WHO IS TRAINED TO LIE. This company needs to be held accountable. Please refund my $500.00 deposit.

When my installers installed my basement carpet, they informed me that they could not install the stair runner because it had not been bound and we would have to reschedule. Customer Service then informed me that if I wanted the stairs done properly, I would have to pay an extra $250 beyond what was agreed upon in my contract. It took several very long and unpleasant calls with 2 customer service reps to finally get them to understand the fact that the person who gave me the estimate never told me about an additional charge for this and it was understood that the entire job – floor AND stairs – would be completed on the agreed upon date and price.
We rescheduled the stair installation for the following week. The installers were a NO SHOW. After I had waited for over 3 hours, I called and they told me that the installers were stuck in traffic and would be here in 15 minutes. NO SHOW again. I called back an hour later to find out that they never picked up the carpet due to a “warehouse mix-up” and were NOT on their way stuck in traffic, in fact had NEVER been on their way. The stair carpeting was finally installed after 3 tries, but it is not lined up properly – overhanging slightly on one side.
The very unfriendly installer asked me to look over the job before he left, but I did not feel comfortable pointing out what I found to be a very unprofessional job and really do not want to have anyone from National Floors Direct back in my home. On top of the high pressure sales tactics (they give you 3 prices, the lowest being the one you accept at the time of the visit), I would NOT recommend National Floors Direct and am very sorry that I did not go with my local carpet retailer.
Updated on 06/24/2018: National Floors Direct reached out to me to "resolve" my negative experience which included NFD trying to up-charge my original contract by $250 if I wanted the job to be completed properly; not calling or arriving for a scheduled installation; improperly installing carpet on stairwell (carpet very unprofessionally overhanging on one side of the stairwell - pictures attached); very rude installers and customer service representatives. I have not heard back from them.

Unfortunately I cannot leave a positive review even though NFD basically sent what sounds to me as a bribe for an Amazon Gift card for only "positive testimonials". My flooring came out very nice, that being said I will never use NFD again and would never recommend to anyone. I have never been treated with such disrespect by customer service individuals. The entire experience was stressful and completely unprofessional. It should have been a sign when the employee for the estimate came over 2 hours late past the window time. It then continued with being lied to about pricing of products and being told that I could still receive other flooring estimates because National Floors Direct would beat the competition or I could get out of the installation appointment.
The next problem continued with the representative who did my estimate and left me his card to contact him for any questions or concerns. I contacted him several times and never once heard back. I finally reached out to the corporate office by both phone and email and no response. I again reached out and what do you know, I received a response on the day that it was too late by the contract to cancel the service. I explained that I had been reaching out for days and was not getting a response back from anyone. I even forwarded them the emails I had sent but customer service was not only unwilling to work with me at all but was extremely unprofessional and rude. I found not only 1 but 2 estimates that were more reasonable and even if NFD had been the most cost effective for their work I would pay more just for better customer service.

I recently had National Floors Direct install luxury vinyl in my condo. I also had my stairs carpeted. It came out beautiful. From the sales rep to the installers there was not one mistake. The installers were efficient, pleasant and helpful with questions. They cleaned up after themselves. The job was done in half the time as well. I would recommend National Floors Direct to everyone.

Carpet Installation - We were very happy with our experience with National Floors. Our estimate came in under the local big store and they were able to install in less than a week. The big store was scheduling three weeks. They confirmed the scheduled appointment the day before and arrived in the slotted window. The installers were professional and courteous. They did an excellent job the space had a lot of cuts and it was perfect. They cleaned up after the work. Everything was done in a few hours.

The floor and rug on stairs are great. The people that removed the old rug and installed the new rug on the stairs were unbelievable. They were on time, courteous and very professional. When it came time for the new floor to be installed, the guys on that team came on time. I could not believe how quickly they did it. Both teams cleaned up and no mess was left behind. I have already recommended National Floors to my family as they are going to do some flooring work. I highly recommend the product, the company and especially the people that did the work!

I had hardwood floors installed in my living room/dining room back in March of this year by National Floors Direct. They are absolutely beautiful. The installers were very efficient and cleaned up when they were finished. The price was also excellent. I plan to continue the same hardwood flooring into the 2 bedrooms at a later date. National Floors Direct was the last company to come to my house and provide me a quote. The salesman was prompt and incredibly friendly. He knew I had seen several other quotes prior to him and really wanted to make sure he provided an offer I couldn’t refuse. He answered everything I asked (there were many questions) and honestly. He went to his car for samples several times when I wanted to make comparisons despite the weather not being very pleasant. My installers were also super. They got to work right away and did everything as asked and very quickly in my opinion. If they were unsure of something they made sure to ask. I would absolutely use National Floors Direct again.

Looking to replace carpet in family room. Call National Floors Direct and they send Bill ** to our home to go over samples. Found him to be pleasant and we agreed to purchase a carpet. Went over what we wanted which included carpeting the room as one piece along with 5 steps along with covering 2 tile entrances in the family room. Installers show up on scheduled date. My husband is home and gets the installers started with furniture removal. He stays downstairs for the pull up of old carpet and padding. Goes upstairs for a few minutes to take a phone call and comes down a few minutes later and see that the installers have cut around the tile entrances. There clearly was a language barrier. He told them to stop and called customer service. This began days of sending pics to customer service and no acknowledgment of our problem. Cliff ** was of no use.
Called to have our sales rep Bill ** to discuss the problem... he did not reach out. Received a call from a another man named Keith who was rude and borderline offensive. The best they can do is seam the carpet in the doorways which is unacceptable. Within a year it will look horrible in a high traffic area. My experience was horrible. I will do my best to tell as many people I know to never use them. The entire organization is a scam. Installers do not work for National Floors Direct. I asked for a new install or a refund and of course silence from NFD. AWFUL, AWFUL. I wasted my money and dealt with three dishonest inept people. Bill **, Cliff ** and Keith.

After getting my carpet professionally cleaned, I realized that it was looking a bit shabby. Having seen their TV ads, I went online to National Floors Direct. Seconds after booking an appointment online, a representative called to set up a convenient time. Brian, the field sales rep, looked at my room, asked me what I was looking for, and brought several samples from his car. One was an exact match for my existing carpet, but I decided that it was time for a change. Brian explained carpet types and seam locations and was patient as I repeatedly changed my mind about the color and pattern. The Installers arrived on time with a crew of four. They moved the furniture, tore up the old carpet and padding, put down the new padding and carpet, vacuumed, replaced the furniture, and invited me to inspect their work. The seam is nearly invisible, and the carpet looks great. Many thanks to the team at National Floors Direct.

My experience with National Floors Direct was a positive one. They came right out to my office with samples of rugs and were very knowledgeable in what would be best for the area I wanted covered. After choosing a rug an appointment was set up at my convenience. Their workmanship was excellent. The quality of the rug was excellent and better than what I expected. It was all completed quickly. The workers were also very professional. I wouldn’t hesitate to use national floors direct again.

National Floors Direct did not install our flooring properly. Unfortunately we didn’t see this until we had our first warm day and the entire floor came up off the ground. You can’t walk in our kitchen because the entire floor is buckled. They did not leave enough room for the floors to expand when they did the installation. We called to have them fix this and they told us they only warranty their work for 3 months so they will not fix our floors. The floors are completely ruined and a serious hazard. Customer service laughed at us and told us that there is nothing they will do to help us.
This installation is many months old. Any issues with the space are clearly the result of environment and not due to work that was performed last year.

We recently had National Floors Direct replace the flooring in basement and a set of stairs in our basement. I had few calls with customer service staff. Customer service staff was great and provided necessary follow ups. We got a call letting us know date and time range for installation. Two crews arrived on time. Both crews were prompt, professional, clean, and worked well together. They went over the work order when they arrived and walked us through a full inspection afterward. I’m really pleased with how it turned out.

Worst company ever dealt. First time they showed up they did not have enough flooring. Next time they said they cancelled because no installer. Third time same excuse. Now today they used same excuse for the fourth time. I just demanded my downpayment back. Let's see how long that takes.

Overall I was pretty satisfied with my experience with National Floors Direct in getting new carpet installed. Christina who initially came to do the estimate was very pleasant to talk to and deal with. She was a lot less overbearing than the 2 representatives from other floor companies I dealt with. Natural Floor did the best it could to give me a price match from a rival company even though I didn't have proof of their estimate. The contractors that came to do the installation actually arrived 30 minute earlier than the estimated arrival time frame which was nice. They too were easy to talk to and deal with, really nice guys, very professional.
The job took about 8 hours, I was getting worried since it was so late they might have to come back another day to finish, but that was not the case. They finished everything that night, everything was perfectly done, and they cleaned up really well after. The whole process from start to finish was very fluid and simple, with no complications at all. My only gripe would be that 2 days before the appointment, a customer representative called me to remind me of my appointment. On the phone, this person said it would be fine for me to pay when the job was finished as oppose to paying before. Apparently it was not fine, I learned the day of the appointment that "it was against company policy". Other than that, everything was great and I would recommend National Floor Direct to a friend.

Events listed chronologically: 3/31: The Company’s salesman comes over. I picked the materials and signed the agreement. 4/6: I receive a phone call and a follow up email from the Company asking what materials I chose. The salesman did not write the materials I chose nor the area of my condo to be covered. 4/7: The Salesperson comes over again to finalize the order. During the 2nd meeting I realized that the salesperson is incompetent and requested the deal to be cancelled and my deposit returned. The salesperson is begging for a second chance and I agree to grant it. We also agreed that I will withhold 10% of the whole cost until after the work is done. (The Company requires the whole pay as soon as the workers come into my place.) 4/12: The Company calls me to schedule the install dates. I can’t schedule yet because of the other work I’m doing in my condo.
4/23: I call the Company to schedule for the week starting 4/30. We schedule for 5/1. 4/29: I clear the area to be covered of all lighter furniture, lights/ lamps, rugs, TVs, drawers, plants, etc... 5/1 (morning of the day of install): I receive a call from the Company asking to reschedule for 5/2: the worker hurt his back. 5/2 (morning of the day of install): The workers come in the morning, see around the condo and inform me that they can’t do the install today because they don’t have the right glue. I ask why they need glue and they say to glue the new floor to the old ceramic floor. This is not what I pay for and not what is written in my contract. The Company representative told me my old ceramic tiles will be demolished and my contract states that the nail method will be used to install the hardwood to the subflooring.
5/3: I call the Company to demand the proper installation method. The company tries to talk me into gluing the floor on top of my tiles and when I disagree they threaten me with damaging my subflooring and kitchen cabinets during the ceramic floor demolition. They also threaten me with extra costs on my project. (I believe I’m already paying more than enough for this kind of materials and the scope of work.) I insist on the proper way of the installation, which is removing the old floor and installing the new one properly. I also remind them I will hold 10% of the total amount until I’m satisfied with the results. They deny this, insisting I have to pay the whole amount as soon as the workers come. When I say it’s in my contract, they accuse me of lying. I hang up the phone saying I no longer want to do business with them.
5/3: The Company calls me back apologizing and agreeing to the proper install, scheduling it for 5/4. The Company also tell me to disconnect all built-in appliances before the workers come. I hire a specialist to do this and pay $300. 5/4 (morning of the day of install): The Company calls me to say they need to reschedule the install for 5/9: medical reasons. After receiving the call I realize that I no longer have any confidence in the Company’s ability to do the job. I live basically without furniture, lights or TV for the whole week, my fridge and stove are disconnected and my food is spoiled. The reason I hired the Company is because they promised to do the whole job in 1 day, 2 max. Meanwhile it’s been already over a week.

We were very happy with our experience at National Floors. Not only was the salesman very knowledgeable, he brought so many samples and options for us to choose from. There was a small issue with scheduling which was immediately rectified by customer service. The rep was friendly and helpful. The installers that arrived were great. They worked to install laminate and carpet. We had around 1400 square feet. We had a small lift in the laminate and some carpet tack problems but they are working on resolving it with the 3 month installation warranty. Looking forward to having you guys back to help with the downstairs.

At first, I was a little skeptical about dealing with a large Company. I have used large "chain-type" contractors in the past with not-so-good results. Beginning with the initial estimate, the sales rep that came to measure changed my opinion of your Company. On the scheduled day, the installers showed up right on time, did an excellent job with the installation, and were very meticulous with their cleanup and disposal of the old carpet.

The salesperson arrived and waited for me. Later I found out he had driven an hour and a half to accommodate my schedule. After speaking for a bit I found he was an exceptionally friendly person, no pretense, no sales pitch. I told him what I wanted and he stuck to the plan. The carpet I selected was more than my budget would allow. We negotiated. He asked me what I wanted to pay. He made a phone call and made it happen at that price AND provided a better weight pad.So... it was refreshing to find that there were no games with National. The installers showed up as scheduled and got the job done quickly. It looks great. Lots of cuts in the room and their deviations. Thank you!

The salesman was here for 4 hours ensuring we were 100% happy, we were then given 6 months to set a date for installation with only a deposit needed, the day of installation the guys were here and out within 6 hours and the floors look great!

Everything was perfect. My son informed me he was going away for the weekend and I had been wanting to replace the carpet in his room in the finished basement and since he was going to be away this was my opportunity. I wanted the stairs, 2 halls and a large bedroom and 3 closets carpeted. Called on Tuesday, got an appointment for Wednesday, carpet installed on Friday. The salesman brought samples and made recommendations for the space. He checked the stock of the carpet we picked and was able to accommodate my need to have it installed on Friday or Saturday. I was scheduled for Friday between 9 and 12 - installers came at 9:30, were professional, polite and did excellent work. I could not have been happier with this experience!

As I stare at pictures of my new floors that were installed, I cannot say enough great things about National Floors Direct. This company is amazing, from Pierre who came out to my Condo, not once but twice to give me an estimate and worked with us to get use the flooring that will look amazing in our Condo, and match our décor, and providing us with such a quick turn around time of 1 week. To the installers, the 2 gentlemen that were sent out to install the floors, they were excellent. They showed up within the timeframe provided, they were courteous and ready to work. I had my floors done on Saturday, I have to say the installers were fast, efficient and courteous. They came earlier than expected which was a pleasant surprise. When they arrived, they started taking out the old carpet within minutes. They were very professional, they finished the job in a timely manner. After they were complete, they went and vacuumed the carpet and surrounding areas and cleaned up the work area. I have used NFD in the past and was satisfied and this time was no different. I had received quotes on the job from other “Big Chain” stores and NFD price was by far the best price I received. I would highly recommend using National Floors Direct to anyone in need of flooring. Hello. I have been in the market for engineered hardwood floors for about a year now. I have had a number of salespeople and companies in my home most from television commercials that I have seen. Every single one of them advertised one price but when they arrived the price was completely different. National Floors Direct the price they advertised was the price I paid. Installation was prompt about a week after I ordered but they wanted sooner (wait sooner really). Eduardo the installer called before he arrived. He was very nice and respectful of my home and completed all 3 rooms in record time. They cleaned and removed the old carpet and my floors are fantastic. My wife (the boss) was impressed. She wants the lower level done ASAP lol. Thank you National Floors Direct for such an amazing job.

The 1st order was for wall to wall carpeting which looks fine. My issue is I stupidly gave the installers $100 more than I was supposed to & I didn't realize it until after they left. They were not honest enough to return it. The 2nd order was for bathroom flooring. I needed a little more than 1 box of flooring so I paid for 2 boxes. When the job was complete and the fellow had left I realized he never left the remaining flooring that I paid for. I have made 2 calls to National and was told a gentleman by the name of Cliff would call me back but never has. I also received an e-mail from the company asking me to review their performance and explained I wanted to explain my issues and have never received a response back. These nonresponses have been this week.

We recently had National Floors Direct replace the flooring in two rooms and a set of stairs in our basement. The salesman that helped us pick out the flooring knew his product and helped us narrow down our choices. We had carpeting and flooring, which meant two crews arriving on the same day. Both crews were prompt, professional, clean, and worked well together. They went over the work order when they arrived and walked us through a full inspection afterward.
We had an issue that was our own fault and needed one of the crews to come back. The National Floors Direct customer service department was fantastic and worked hard to resolve our issue. When all was said and done, we had new flooring and carpeting in two rooms and a set of stairs. We could not be happier with our choice to have National Floors Direct take care of our flooring needs. Because of the quality of the flooring, excellent pricing, and quick turnaround, it makes us wonder why it took us so long to have the work done in the first place!

Beautiful New Kitchen Floor - First time I have ever made a purchase without comparison shopping and it paid off. I will be honest I was a little hesitant at first as the pricing was somewhat high. But after going back and forth and several calls to the home office I was given a better price. I was apprehensive the day of the install but the 2 men that came knew what they were doing and did a great job. They were nice and answered any questions I had. Once the job was done they swept, picked up and took their trash with them. All in all a wonderful experience. I would def recommend National Floors Direct to friends and family. As they say a happy customer makes for return business. Therefore being a homeowner, next time I have a carpet to replace or need to put in a new floor they will be first on my call list.

I had a number of flooring companies lined up to interview to replace the carpeting in our basement. (We had a flood and our finished basement was ruined.) The woman who came from National Floors Direct was so friendly and was able to help us match new carpet to the small section of remaining carpet on our stairs. This was important to us as we did not want to rip up the carpeting on the stairs. After meeting with her, I did not want to interview another flooring/carpeting company. I signed up and paid that day! The carpet came out just as we hoped it would be and we are still enjoying it today! We also felt the price was very good!

Carpeting - I am sitting here at 8:34 after these scam artists told me they would be here by 6PM. They wait until 6PM so they can scatter like roaches and not answer the phone. I hope they show up now so I can tell them to beat it. I will be demanding my money back in the AM. The biggest group of fake nice liars I have ever dealt with. I would rather them be rude and obnoxious that would be honesty at least.

NFD was professional from start to finish. Our sales rep wasn’t pushy and listened to what we wanted. He offered many suggestions and had a wide range of selection. His knowledge of the company and products was informative. Customer service was friendly on the phone when calling before our installation date. The morning of installation we received the call for arrival. The installers were professional. They worked quickly and cleaned up afterwards. Beautiful job! I’d highly recommend NFD.

I had a very good experience with National Floors Direct. They came earlier than expected. They did a great job moving furniture. They cleaned everything up. They asked me to inspect everything. I had a great experience from the day the salesman came To my House. He explained the products available to me and made recommendations when I asked. The installation process was very well done. The two men that came to my house did an amazing job. Every seam, every corner done to perfection. I can’t even tell where the rug seam came together. They were polite and took their time. Moved my couches and cleaned up like no one was ever there. I highly recommend and will always call National Floors in the future.

National Floors Direct was a pleasure to work with. The salesperson arrived on schedule, was polite and knowledgeable. The selection of flooring provided was adequate. The information provided about the flooring choices was helpful in making my selection. Although installation was delayed due to weather, the contact was polite, apologetic and professional. The re-scheduling was at my convenience. The installers arrived promptly on the installation day. The installers worked quietly, and steadily, finishing up ahead of schedule. The final assessment would be an overall positive; the floors look great, the installation was painless and communication was at all times professional and pleasant.

I ripped out the old carpet and particle board subfloor. Then I installed the plywood subfloor myself. I was unaware National Floors Direct would do that. I wish I called them 1st! I got a fair price. They installed a beautiful "Rustic Red Oak" floor in a 12x16 Bedroom. It only took them 4 hours. It came out GREAT! I later ordered the same floor for my 12x12 office and was equally pleased.

I've seen advertising for National Floors Direct on t.v. I needed to have 2 bedrooms and stairs recarpeted. I contacted National Floors Direct. A salesman Brian came to my home, measured the room and brought carpet samples. He was professional and courteous. All this was done... including a price quote within an hour! No traveling to carpet stores or waiting for measurements or estimates. The carpeting was installed in half a day. Installers were professional and courteous. Carpets look great. So easy! So affordable! I highly recommend this company!

I am pleased to say we had a very good experience using National Floors Direct. Ordering the carpet was easy and there was no hard sales pitch. The day of the install we were told when to expect the installers. They arrived right on schedule. We were getting four bedrooms, a hallway, a stairway, a basement, and another set of stairs to the basement carpeted. Sam and Jose said they would work through the day with no breaks and get it all done. That is exactly what they did. They cleaned up everything afterwards as well. We are very happy with the new carpet.

I called National Floors Direct after my man cave was flooded due to the recent noreaster in Massachusetts. The salesman Larry came to my house and measured my basement. He then went to his truck and brought back some samples based on the color I wanted. Lawrence walked me through how to choose the best carpet for my basement. I choose a nice grey carpet to match my new paint. National floors direct pricing was lower than any competitor I received quotes from. I had another quote but national beat it by a few hundred dollars. The installer came the next day and installed my beautiful carpet. He was a really nice guy and answered all my questions. The installation was quick and very thorough. I am very pleased with the outcome.

A note on our experience with National Floors Direct. I am happy to report that we have nothing but positivity to report. Mr. ** (our estimate representative) was right on time for our appointment. He was very patient, courteous, and engaging. He made us feel like we were making absolutely the right decisions for our home and lifestyle and was awesome with our 9 year old Daughter. We were equally as pleased with the installers. They were punctual and polite. They made sure we were happy with the carpet we had picked and everything was as it should be. They were extremely accommodating as I had a few things to finish up in the area before they started. They were extremely professional and their work more than exceeded our expectations. We had a terrific experience with National Floors Direct. Our sales rep Larry was cordial and patient. He answered all of our questions and was very knowledgeable. The installation team was prompt and professional. They worked tirelessly for the duration of the installation. They communicated with us at all times and finished the work in a timely manner. They cleaned up the work site and placed all of the furniture back in its original location. We could not have been happier with the service and quality of the products. In March 2018, I decided to use National Floors Direct to install vinyl laminate wood flooring at my condo. National Floors Direct not only had the better customer service, but the price was phenomenal! I wouldn't be able to find a better place anywhere! Plus, the guys that actually did the installation were not only on time, but very professional, quick and the quality of work was fantastic! We actually watched TV in the other room while they worked, and it was fun watching them install these pieces of wood laminate so precisely. My fiancee and I went over the work at the end and had absolutely no complaints. We definitely will work with National Floors Direct in the future! Thanks again for making my living room look amazing.

We were very happy with our experience with National Floors Direct. The floors look wonderful and truly transformed the attic space we were refinishing. I was happy with how they turned out, but I was also very pleased with the customer service. The person who came out to the house to give an estimate was very courteous and answered all our questions. He was on time and brought plenty of samples for us. The team who came to install the carpet worked extremely fast. They were in and out in 2.5 hours. I was given a window of time that they would arrive in and they came right at the beginning.
The only things I would say that could be improved are the fact that they don’t take credit cards and the employees come in unmarked vans. It is a little frightening to be home alone and have the workers ask you to approve the carpet at their van when it does not have the company information on it. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would call them again for future projects.

DON'T TRUST A WORD THEY SAY! UNRELIABLE AND USE SCARE TACTICS AGAINST THEIR CONSUMERS. On 3/23 I purchased carpet for my bedroom from National Floors Direct with delivery scheduled for 3/29. This date was extremely important and the salesman assured me that this wouldn't be a problem and even called to confirm with his manager. 2 days before my scheduled delivery and installation I received a confirmation call for my delivery and installation on 3/29. Yay! (Or so I thought...) The day before my installation I received a call from the customer service representative informing me that they hadn't received delivery of the materials and they couldn't install my carpet on 3/29. No, I wasn't being pranked by Ashton Kutcher.
I was assured that my carpet would be installed on 3/30 between 12 and 2 pm. On the morning of 3/30 I received a call from National Floors Direct telling me that they would not be able to deliver and install my carpet (AGAIN) and said they could install on 3/31. I told them that I wanted to enforce my right, per the contract, to cancel the order for a full refund as this was unacceptable. The customer service supervisor referenced the act of God clause on my contract and informed me that they would not be refunding my deposit (235.30) and I would be responsible for the balance (500). YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! Not receiving my materials from their supplier is certainly not an act of God. I told him I would be calling their competitor for next day installation and he told me "no company can install your carpet tomorrow". Surprise! I had Empire install my beautiful carpet on 3/31 FIRST THING IN THE MORNING!
On 4/2 I mailed them a formal notice to cancel and informed National Floors Direct that I wished to receive the full and prompt refund as promised in the contract (received by them on 4/4). On 4/4 I received a call from the customer service manager who told me that I could still schedule my installation (HA!). I informed her that I already had carpet installed by a more reliable company. I told her that I was seeking a full refund. She informed me that they would not be refunding my money and would be submitting my account to collections and again referenced the act of God clause for the reason they could not installed on the promised date. The professionalism and business practices of National Floors Direct are poor and unacceptable. Further, National's insistence that I continue to owe the remaining payment despite their nonperformance is OUTRAGEOUS.

National Floors Direct is the way to go for flooring. Great experience from salesman to installation. Fair, competitive prices with expert installation. Installers went above and beyond my expectations. Ran carpet down my stairs and also wrapped the sides, I could not be happier. Once the carpet was completely installed, everything was cleaned like they were never there. Extremely professional!
