Mohawk Flooring Reviews

We got two kinds of carpet from Mohawk Flooring. We wanted carpet because we're just not set-up for anything else. Also, we're not gonna stay here forever so we wanted something that was affordable. The carpet was supposed to be good for pets. It has a little pattern that has dimples which is a little different color of carpet and then the carpet stands up. From what we were told, this particular pattern doesn't run a straight line so when it was cut, those little indents didn't line up. I like the carpet so far, but I wish I could have picked a different design.

The floor in one of my kids’ bedroom was damaged so I had to find a match and replace it. And since the original flooring in there was Mohawk, I purchased a box of laminate flooring from Mohawk and then had a few of the planks replaced and it works.

I used the same retailer from my carpeting and they use Mohawk as their creditor, so that’s why I use Mohawk. It’s more about the company that I buy my carpet from than it is about Mohawk. But their carpeting is good quality. It's soft and just what we were looking for our home. The only thing that I thought was kind of odd for a return customer was the offer. When you buy the carpeting, you get 12 months interest-free. But after that, it’s something ridiculous like 24% and I know a lot of the credit cards or creditors are high. But for return customers, I would highly recommend lowering that because I didn’t use all of my credit through Mohawk for that reason. I actually did payment two different ways, but I would have done at all if the interest rate had been lower especially for return customers.

Unfortunately, about a month after installation, we noticed the finish wearing off on some of the board's edges. We contacted our dealer immediately and they reported the problem to the local Mohawk rep. We were told that an inspector would be coming to our home to assess the situation.

We went through a store in Santa Barbara and they gave us different options. We went through two different flooring types because we’ve been through laminate then we found out that laminate was not waterproof all the way. We were putting it in our new bathroom and in the kitchen so we wanted it to be waterproof. Well, I needed waterproof, kids-proof, husband-proof and dog-proof.

We looked at a bunch of different carpet and then decided to go with Mohawk. They had a really good price on the product, so we went with that. And then it's really soft. So, that's kinda what we wanted. It's a great quality carpet and has made the room downstairs warmer. We enjoy it as a family and the kids love it. They're down there every day playing. The flooring does what we want. So, that's good.

We had engineered hardwood flooring called Arcadia installed in our living room, dining room, office, and family room. We initially looked at different brands but we liked the value and the quality of Mohawk Flooring. There are better ones out there, but you weigh up the price versus value of the house. The Arcadia is a good product for the price. When I researched it, it seemed like they put a lot of quality into it and hopefully, I will never have to use the warranty. I like the style of the flooring too. But I expected it to be a little more durable. I wasn't too happy about some heel marks in one room. Otherwise, I would recommend Mohawk Flooring.

We started looking at some of the Stainmaster products across all brands, but we liked the Silk SmartStrand from Mohawk Flooring for its value and benefits. The flooring has better texture and resistance against dust-staining compared to others. It also had a fair price. So, we purchased that carpet and the installation process was pretty straightforward. We had it installed on the second and third floor of our home. On the first day, the installers removed the existing padding and carpet, then laid out the Mohawk product so it laid flat. The next morning, they came back and installed it. Overall, we had a positive experience with Mohawk. We like the product and the customer service that came along when we got it.

We built our home in 2013 and paid for a 5th upgrade to Mohawk Inspiring Color Rice Cake carpeting in our master bedroom and closet. The traffic areas have flattened terribly and is not twisted (see picture #1). The carpeting really needs to be replaced (see picture #2 - nontraffic area adjacent to picture #1). It has not worn well at all and is a disappointment. We regularly vacuum the carpet and there are just two of us in our home. Since the builder installed the carpeting we do not have a receipt from a retailer. This carpeting has a 10 year warranty so we are well within our warranty period. What steps should we take to see if there is anything you can do to help us?

The Mohawk Flooring was wonderful! Everything is absolutely perfect. We had laminate floors in the kitchen and the living area and two vinyl floors in our bathroom. The flooring is beautiful. I would definitely tell others to go to Mohawk.

I purchased the SmartStrand product from Mohawk Flooring and got it installed in the whole house. The sales guy sold me on the product and said that it's really good and that it would last for as long as we needed it to. I like that it’s really soft. And I didn’t realize that it would be so soft. So, that’s a good feature, but it was a surprising feature.

I purchased a carpet from Mohawk Flooring and it was installed in our master bedroom and in another bedroom. I had a designer in my remodeling who had suggested four different Mohawk carpets for those rooms. I previously had Mohawk and they were high traffic and pet-friendly. The installers showed up when they were supposed to and were efficient and very professional. I had a door that needed to be shaved on the bottom and the personnel who installed it had that ability so we could take care of that right at the same time. Also, it was a reasonable cost.

I bought a cream-brown carpet from Mohawk Flooring and it's installed in a condo. I considered other brands but this one is good quality and stain-proof. So far, I'm satisfied with the carpet and it has met my expectations. I would also recommend Mohawk Flooring to others.

I had a carpet installed in three bedrooms and as far as ordering, getting it all sold, and then working with our schedule because of construction, Mohawk was really flexible and easy to work with. Also, the price was fair. I would recommend them for sure.

We looked at a few brands and some carpet samples then we quickly ended up with Mohawk. We purchased 2 different carpets, one for the living room and one for the bedroom. The installation was great and they came when they were supposed to then they did everything. The pet-friendliness feature of the carpet is amazing. For some reason, our little dog loves the living room carpet and tiddles all over it constantly. The pet tiddle cleans right up and the carpet comes right up as promised so I’m totally amazed. I never would’ve believed it. The carpets are lovely and feel great.

We had carpet put in in 2 bedrooms of a rental. Mohawk Flooring has better cost and quality compared to the other brands I considered, but the deciding factors were the cushioning and the feel of the carpet itself. The installation done was a great job. I would recommend Mohawk and we would use them again with the carpet for the rest of the house.

I want to caution other buyers to not purchase the engineered hardwood in espresso. We built a home 2 years ago, and the finish is peeling all over my house. An inspector came out and determined moisture as the cause, although the subfloor is completely dry and the moisture showed 1 digit off normal on a rainy day which could easily be a normal variances. Yet Mohawk denied our claim. For a company who prides itself on its warranty and consumer satisfaction, it’s very disappointing they are choosing to not stand behind their products.

We bought the Wilmington maple top from Mohawk which was an engineered product for my living room and dining room. The year prior we did the same flooring in my family room. We love the color and the length that it came in with. The brand is very competitive and the quality of the product is very good. Also, it's very durable and it looks fantastic in the rooms that we put it in. We're happy with it and everybody that looked says it's lovely.

I like patronizing local businesses instead of big chains and Foglio’s Flooring Center had what I was looking for. We purchased a Mohawk brand rug which has smart fiber that would clean up better. Its rating was good as well as the color wearability. It was more than I was gonna spend but I decided that I wanted a better quality and it met my needs. I've only had the rug for a short time now and I like it. I did not care that it shows when somebody walks on it. When I clean it, I like seeing exactly where I clean.

We were specifically looking for the waterproof carpet and Mohawk was selling that. We purchased one, had it installed in our family room and I'm happy with the look and feel of it. We read a lot of reviews and people said that it doesn't look that great on the floor but it looks fantastic. And we have lots of spills and they just wipe right up. I'm delighted.

I bought carpeting and I got it from Mohawk Flooring just because of the brand name. It was for the house and we have a pet so I like the idea that it's pet-proof.

I purchased wood floors from Mohawk and had them installed in the living room, the dining room and the hallway. I liked all the features of the flooring except the little grooves between the boarding. It has a quarter of an inch gap in between and we were not happy with that. But we're used to it now. Other than that, Mohawk is a great company and they have a great product. I liked them the best and I would go back and get all my flooring from them.

I went to a store and met with a consultant and then we had the carpet professionally installed in our bedroom. It's holding up fine. If anyone asks me about Mohawk Flooring, I would tell them it's a good product.

Other people have recommended Mohawk, that they install a lot of flooring. We purchased the flooring and we had it installed in four bedrooms and the office. Mohawk flooring is expensive but we looked at the quality and they're worth it. The flooring made my wife happy. Overall, the Mohawk team did a great job and we really appreciated it.

We had been flooded in the kitchen and had to replace the hardwood flooring. We made a homeowner's claim and thought to change it up a little bit, so at least it looks new and different. We tried to find something a little bit lighter and bought some laminate flooring from Mohawk Flooring. We like its color, texture, and grooves. It looks really nice now. We had all the flooring in the living room, dining room, and kitchen replaced. I wasn’t crazy about the fact that when I dropped a plate and it made a ding.

I purchased some carpeting from Mohawk Flooring that I put in my basement and I love it. I went to a local representative here and they were outstanding. I recommend them.

I will NEVER put Mohawk carpet in my home again. We bought very expensive carpet made by Mohawk and the carpet started breaking/wearing down within 5 months of purchasing. We followed all of their requirements for caring and maintaining the carpet and it still did this. Of course the place we bought it from went out of business so we had to deal directly with Mohawk. What a joke. They paid someone to come out and look at it and they said absolutely nothing was wrong with the carpet and it was showing normal wear. We had a cleaning company come look at it along with a carpeting store in town come look and they said it shouldn’t be doing what it’s doing. The carpet is matted down and looks disgusting. We’re fighting their denial but I’m sure they still won’t do anything about it. Save yourself time and money and go with a different manufacturer.

I've ordered a carpet for my home from Mohawk Flooring and I've had a great experience purchasing it. I just went over then picked out what looked good. The employee was very nice, knowledgeable and helpful. The carpet has good quality too. I liked it because it's softer than the other one I picked out. I was also told that it would last 25 years.

I purchased a product from Mohawk Flooring for carpeting. We also went to Nebraska Furniture Mart but their bid was quite high. The interaction with the sales representative at Mohawk was a scatterbrain. There was a big misunderstanding on pricing. My wife, my mother and I were in the store and we all heard him say one thing, but then he switched to a little higher price. We went back and forth and then he finally settled for the price that we thought we heard. The installation was done a month ago and it was beautiful. The carpet was installed in the large room, the living room and at the office. The guys moved the furniture around and did a great job. We had one little scratch on the bed but that was it. We like the carpet's color and the feel of walking across it. It’s very cushy and comfortable. The carpeting met our expectations.

We got carpeting from Mohawk Flooring and we chose them because of the research my husband had done on it and some of the videos that we watched on the internet with the spill-proof and how the carpet was made. We placed the flooring on the whole upstairs – three bedrooms and a hall – and we only had one slight problem, but I’m sure that the installers will take care of it. A seam opened up in the doorway. But as far as the carpet itself, we love the way it feels. It’s thick as what we thought it would be. We got a more expensive carpet and it has held up to what we expected, although I wish the carpeting was cheaper. This is a newer style carpet and it’s made of silk. We’ve never had that before, so we’re anxious to see how it wears.

Mohawk had the best quality for the price. When it gets to $90 a square yard, that’s pretty expensive. It used to be $35 a square yard for wool carpet 40 years ago and it has done very well. For a family room, it’s all carpet and $35 was extremely high at that point in time. It was a Karastan carpet and people think it’s cheaper because they’re not smart enough to add it all up. I bought a silk strand flooring from Mohawk. I like the feel of it and it was prettier, and I was promised that it would have a good guarantee behind it. The flooring was installed in three bedrooms and a hallway. It's a very light carpet and the workers I had here had gotten a little stain of dirt on it when they were working between my kitchen floor, putting the tiles down and got paint on all kinds of stuff. There was a pretty dark dirty spot but I was able to wipe it up with just a damp rag. I’ve only had it in for a couple of weeks and it has met my expectations.

We got Mohawk flooring installed in our home; for the mag room, kitchen, family room, foyer and connecting hallway and powder room, two pantries and two closets. It was the best laminate for us and it has exceeded my wife’s expectations once installed. She’s been very pleased with it. Prior to purchasing it, we looked at Lowe's and Home Depot and I think Mohawk had six layers of the substrata thing for better flooring.

We purchased Mohawk vinyl wood plank and then the new stuff they have out now, which is a water resistant vinyl type. It looks like marble flooring. The planks are 6.5 by 36 inches, 100% waterproof and used in the kitchens and the bathroom. It's like a counterpart to ceramic tile without all the weight in the body because you don't have to do it as a floating floor. We would recommend Mohawk and use them again if we need to.

We just moved into our house and I bought a carpet from Mohawk Flooring to replace the carpeting in one room. I just used the same carpet brand that was already installed in the house.

DO NOT BUY ANY CARPET FROM THIS MANUFACTURER. Within months of installation our house began to turn orange. We filed a claim with our homeowners and after eight thousand dollars worth of testing we find out our house is inundated with POLYSTYRENE, a cancer causing neurotoxin. We sent a sample to Mohawk. They denied our claim without even testing the carpeting AND gave us no reason for the denial even though the chemical engineers report stated that the only reasonable source for this level of contamination was the carpeting and/or padding. I have pictures and a copy of the test report available upon request.

We had the Stainmaster 2 from Mohawk and it was installed in the living room, bedroom, and the dining room. It was the most durable and easy to care of so I decided to go with it. It has met my expectations and I like it very much. I like the color and it's not too thick. Also, I have pets and it's easy to vacuum. It has an attractive quality to it.

I used 101 Flooring and I went in there, and I was very straightforward and picked what I liked that was within my budget. I purchased Mohawk Flooring wood laminate and it was installed in the bedrooms of our home. I liked the color and texture of the flooring. So far, it has met my expectations, but it hasn't been here that long since I've had it and I'm worried about how it will respond to getting wet. Nevertheless, it has worked for me and I'm happy with it for now.

We've purchased a carpet at Mohawk Flooring and we looked at a few other brands but Mohawk was a lot better in terms of the quality and the cost as well. The carpet is a very quality, soft, and durable product. The sales professional was terrific and very good to work with. All in all, I'm happy with what I have and we're happy with our decision. I would send friends to the carpet store and tell them that the product seemed better.

We ordered some Karastan and some of the regular Mohawk carpeting. We were interested in Mohawk's pet protection, and we really like their product's stain-resistance.

Mohawk's SolidTech is great and has a very nice quality. It’s laminate but it doesn’t feel cheap or like an old school laminate. Everyone comments that they love the way it looks. Anyone interested should definitely take a serious look at it.

I purchased the 2M64 Ultimate Image 756 Harmony Tan carpet for my family room and had it installed on 11/10/2017. I specifically asked for durable carpet for this room because of previous experience with carpet in high traffic areas and was told that this is the best (and I paid for it- very expensive). After only 2 months the carpet had 2 distinct wear patterns (photos uploaded). I had a professional carpet cleaning company come out and clean the carpet and still the patterns exist, so I contacted the installer which in turn contacted Mohawk. Mohawk sent an investigator to review the issue and it was determined by Mohawk that the patterns were normal wear. If this is normal wear then I will NEVER purchase Mohawk carpet AGAIN, this is horrible and of course no one from Mohawk is willing to do the right thing. I intend to spread this information to ALL media sources to ensure that people like me are not fooled by the false advertisement of this company.

We had Karastan carpeting in three bedrooms from Mohawk. I have done four different rooms, products, all with Karastan fabric in the last couple of years, and I love them. I like their color, primarily, and their texture. I was looking for gray carpeting, and they had the best gray for my home. Installation was through Manasota Flooring which was the flooring company that I bought the product from. Installation was simple. One room was totally empty and they moved a bed in one room. The two men who did it were wonderful. I have gone with this particular store before. And I always came back to the Karastan or Mohawk fabric.

We shopped around a little bit before buying engineered hardwood from Mohawk Flooring for the bedrooms and the master closet. Their quality was very good compared to other brands and even if the cost was a little bit higher, they had the wood that we wanted. I like that it’s easier to clean and we’re enjoying it.

A portion of my 3 1/2-year-old expensive Mohawk wood floor lost its color when I removed a rug. The rug had a standard bottom found on every rug in every home. I called the flooring company that installed the floor because I had a 25-year finish warranty on my floors. They reluctantly filed a claim with Mohawk. They told me nothing would be done but they would file a claim anyway. Mohawk sent an inspector who agreed the floor stain faded and sent the info along with pics to the company. Despite my 25-year warranty Mohawk would not rectify the problem. Said it was the rug's fault. So if you plan to place a rug over your wood floor, I suggest you stay away from Mohawk products.

Mohawk was our next door neighbor's recommendation so I decided to go with them. We purchased silky carpeting from them and had it installed in the family and dining rooms. The carpet is very soft and it's very nice to walk on. It's also very pet-friendly. We have a cat with claws and I understand that's a killer one. We had a problem with the other carpeting we had and now, this is much better. I'm very happy with it.

We bought Mohawk Carpet from Menards in 2014. Within a short time, the carpet started to come apart from the backing or delaminate. We called Menards and they stood behind it. I thought it was a "bad lot" and chose to have the same carpet installed when it was replaced because I liked the color and type of carpet. That was a huge mistake. Within 2 months, the second installation started to do the same thing. I contacted Menards who sent out an inspector. Because we had a dog who was older, he blamed her. Menards then denied our claim.

We've had a great experience with Mohawk before and their warranty made us go with them. We had carpeting installed in our TV room and we drew a really good pair of guys for the installation. They were excellent and there were no seams in it. They vacuumed everything before and after, took their time, didn't mark up any moldings, and moved everything for me. They had a good attitude and they did it in less than an hour. I'm happy with the product so far and it's durable as advertised. I would recommend them.

When I read the reviews, I decided to buy Mohawk Flooring’s pet-proof smart silk strands for my living room. I like that it is water resilient but two dogs that are 50 lbs. each plays very roughly on it and I am a little worried about the many pieces of yarn I find lying around. It has been a month now and the yarn lying around is getting less and less but it concerns me because the carpet is now so soft to walk on. I was thinking of putting a carpet in the bedroom next year but I want to give it that year and see how it holds up to the dogs.

We looked at a lot of different floors and upon recommendation, we purchased a luxury vinyl tile plank from Mohawk Flooring for the basement. Visually, the flooring has met my expectation and we’re satisfied.

We purchased SmartStrand Silk from Mohawk Flooring which was installed in the living room, dining room and bedroom of my South Carolina home. The flooring feels fine and the carpet speaks for itself. I just need to call them back to go over the seams and I want something where the tile meets the rug. I had this carpet in another home and I’m very accustomed to it so I wouldn't buy anything else but as far as the installers, they took forever to put it down.

We needed vinyl flooring in our bedroom. It was in a new construction site and we wanted something that looked like wood but is easily cleanable and Mohawk Flooring met the bill. We looked at multiple brands and considered laminate versus vinyl and many other things. Vinyl, in terms of the longevity, is a better product. We also looked at the cost-point for the product and the one that we selected met our needs. I wanted something more modern that had a wider plank look and this one does. It had a variety of shades and I wanted something that wasn’t the same as on our first floor. It also had a variety of the planks so it looks more real. It was also a better quality because the rotation was enough so that the pattern wasn’t repeating itself too many times. We're really happy with it.

Our carpet is less than 5 years old and it started to split. After multiple request and jumping through hoops they want a private certificated carpet inspector (paid by Mohawk) to look at the carpet. Of course he said it was and installer issue. Pass the buck on. We spent a lot of money and followed all the rules for keeping a valid warranty and they still won't help us!!

I am extremely disappointed with Mohawk Flooring. I was told that the product I was purchasing was a premium solid hardwood product. First, I noticed that a few edges splitting off and some breaks in the grain. I was told by the retailer Avalon Flooring that they would supply 5 boxes and pay to have the defective pieces replaced. Then, before doing that I noticed it was getting worse and not in isolated places. We do not wear shoes in our house and it's only two of us. We have only lived here 10 months. So, I contacted Avalon and told them that since the problem was getting worse I didn't think just replacing the few boards would be sufficient. They contacted Mohawk and scheduled a inspector.

We had Mohawk wood flooring (5" wide Laminate Hardwood Floor) installed over the whole first floor of our home (4 rooms plus hallway). The subfloor was too thin so we had a new 3/4 finish plywood subfloor installed. The Mohawk flooring was installed professionally using glue and nails. The floor dents very easily. After about a year approximately 10-15% of the pieces started exhibiting cracks along the grain deeper that the "lifelong" varnish. I contacted the installer who agreed that it didn't look right and that the surface was cracking. I checked the warranty paperwork to make sure it was not a one year warranty and was pleased that the flooring is covered by a 30 year warranty. The contractor got in touch with Mohawk who sent a third party inspector to look at the flooring.

We bought a home last fall and installed new Allen and Roth laminate flooring throughout most of it. It was a great product that was holding up very well to our dusty country living, small inside dog, and six small grandkids. Unfortunately we had a flood in December due to frozen pipes that burst under our slab and had to remove every single bit of it.

I considered a couple of other brands but Mohawk was better priced. I purchased the 2 1/2 by 3/4 tongue-and-groove hardwood which was installed in my home. I like the overall look of it and the flooring looks great in our house. We’re very happy with it. It was all in good shape and we love it.

I had Mohawk laminate flooring installed after a water leak in my home. The edges and seams of the flooring is "bubbling up" and in many locations where the boards meet they peak up into a tent. We cannot get any action from Mowhawk customer service. Even our housekeeper comments on how he has never seen a laminate floor with these issues.

We purchased a large quantity of "luxury vinyl" called SolidTech. This was the product recommended for a kitchen area and we liked the variation of the coloring. After getting it home and acclimating the flooring we began to install it. The butt ends of the flooring did not seat well and left a sharp edge sporadically that would have definitely caught your foot or sock. So we went back and complained to the store and spoke with the Mohawk representative. We went back to the sample piece and it too had sharp edges at some of the butt joints.

We purchased a laminate wood flooring for the large closet that we made to match up the Mohawk hardwood engineered flooring in our bedroom. I was so happy to be able to match the flooring and it looks like it belonged there. It’s only been in for a month but so far, it met my needs very well. It's very good and it’s easy to take care of. We had a wonderful experience with Mohawk Flooring.

We had on the first week of January purchased and installed a 2,550 sq. ft. of 2 x 2 porcelain tiles in a new house closed December 29th. It's a Mohawk arctic white. We also had a laminate floor before from Mohawk but it looks like a fixture and it scratched very easily. There was this one without those but you will get thousands of little scratches and I wouldn’t recommend it. So, that's why we went for the porcelain tile this time. And before that, we've had occasional purchases from Mohawk product. On average, it's a reputable company.

I recently had over 1300 square feet of Triversa flooring installed by Complete Kitchen and Bath of Lakeland, Florida. Presently I have only moved minimal furniture back on to the flooring (bed and nightstands in bedroom) and one recliner in the great room. Immediately after installation there were issues with pieces separating and some scuffs during installation. Since then it has scratched easily. My two year old grandson was riding a toy on it and it scratched it, where my 21 year old Pergo laminate floor had endured three previous grandchildren riding toys without any scratches. Also if my two cats (which I do not have declawed as they are inside/outside cats) do any quick movements and have their nails extended it leaves scratches.

We purchased a luxury vinyl tile from Mohawk. I like the white frost design. It was installed in a rental property that we had just purchased and I wish it was in my own home. It's beautiful. It looks like Carrara marble. Somebody walked into the house yesterday and looked at it and couldn’t believe it wasn’t real marble. Also one of the reasons why we purchased it is our condo is on the second floor. We have a neighbor below us and we have an HOA association that requires very strict STC and IIC and Mohawk's product measured really high in that. One of the major thresholds we had to jump with is to get a product that had good sound proofing.

I got carpet installed for a bedroom, and I liked the cost and pattern from Mohawk. It's been a fine experience and a coupon was applied to my purchase so I was happy with that.

I purchased a luxury valve from Mohawk Flooring. We looked at a lot of different manufacturers before but we like Mohawk's style and quality, and it was easy to install too. However, that flooring would have been great if they had been thicker. If we put it down there would be hot spots and it kind of float when you step on it. You could tell that the flooring would sink under your feet and it was because it was so bent. Nonetheless, we love the floors. In fact, everybody has been asking where we got it and we tell them what kind it is.

We had new "Designer Delight" Mohawk carpet installed in our family room. Within weeks we started having snags or tuft pulls in the carpet. Where the tuft pulled out was a small chunk of glue, presumably where it separated from the backing. When these happened we took pictures and had the dealer come out and inspect. Our dealer sent in a carpet sample for testing for manufacturing defect. My understanding is that the test determines "tuft bind". The test indicates 15 results, ranging from 4.32 to 11.91, with an average of 6.8 lbs. Throwing out the highest and lowest values, results in an average of 6.5 lbs. The result was determined that there was no defect.

Overall we love the flooring (Chocolate Barnwood P9002-103). Except an area around bath floor mat in the bathroom where water drops accumulated the tile is dull (discoloration) and will not shine when using Mop & Glo. Also, in the kitchen some water droplets will not clean.

Worst carpet from Home Depot. 5 years ago it's coming all apart string and scenes is when you vacuum it the stains won't come out. Supposed to be stain proof and wear proof. It's none of the above. Worst carpet I've ever seen. Even Stanley Steemer says it's terrible carpet.

I like the styles of the Mohawk tiles that I bought a lot last year. They were installed in two bathrooms in our home where one was done 8 months ago and the other was 6 months ago.

I purchased this flooring thinking it would look nice and be easy to take care of. I was so wrong. As soon as I clean it and walk on it there are prints of my shoes all over it. It never looks clean and it's impossible to make it look nice. I've contacted Mohawk and received the e-mail giving me the vinegar to water ratio and it didn't help at all. I really think it is defective. I'm going to pursue this further.

My customer chose Mohawk Flooring and I purchased an engineering flooring and I installed it for them in their home. However, from my professional experience, I don't think this is a good product because the material compared with other engineering flooring is not a very good quality, but my customer like it. I came back to fix the flooring for her and she said she loved the floor very much. It's similar to other products but I had a good experience at their shop in Langhorne because their customer service treated us very good and gave me good ideas, and that was the first time I meet them. Right now, I visited the shop and I didn't see those display. Some of their product is of good quality but the floor chosen by the customer did not meet my expectations. It doesn't mean that that's very bad though.

I'm a builder and I've installed Mohawk flooring and wall tiles in my home and in my clients' home. I've done bathroom and shower floors and shower walls. I'll be doing a lot of my basement, the laundry room floor, and the second floor bathroom, too. I've used a lot of Daltile before, but I liked Mohawk's specific design. I like when I can get the floor tiles and the wall tiles that match. I like doing the shower floor in no bigger than a two by two tile. If you marry up a specific wall tile, a lot of times they don’t come in a floor tile if you want to do it in the same tile that's the right size. It's nice to find tile in a variety of sizes that you can use on the floor as well as the wall. I also like Mohawk tile's ease of use and the uniformity of it. A lot of times, tiles from bigger lot stores come in the sizes that can be off upwards of an eighth of an inch even though they're supposed to be all the same. It's hard to space tile that isn't very uniform all around.

I like the color and the price of the vinyl plank we bought from Mohawk Flooring, but my favorite feature is that it's waterproof. I had the flooring installed in the basement which was easily done and it looks great.

I got the Mohawk laminate flooring and it was installed in my bedroom. I've had it a little over a month and I like the color. Plus, I can dust-mop it and it's done. I even go over it with my vacuum, which they don’t recommend but I have the brusher and it seems to be fine.

We had a water leak so we had our flooring replaced. I did my research about waterproof flooring six months before we had our flooring. I have seen the laminates on sale at other stores and as we were driving by Mohawk, we just said, "Okay. We're going to go in here and see what they've got." And what they showed me was exactly what we were looking for so we purchased their waterproof laminate. It's a super quality, very easy to clean and it doesn't show water stains. It's a very good product, it's attractive and it was professionally done. It reached my expectations and I'm very happy with it.

We had this floor installed in our new home and before we moved in the floor flaked in large chunks. This flaking occurred before the house was occupied. There must be a defect in the manufacturing process. Pulte will be replacing the individual boards but I am concerned that others will flake with time.

My mom has a dog that's not well-trained and for over 12 years, the carpet has had bad odors. And so, instead of getting more carpeting, I wanted to try vinyl flooring as it might be more pet-friendly. I was also hoping it was going to be an easier upkeep in the kitchen. I bought Mohawk waterproof vinyl flooring for the kitchen, dining area, living room, hall and the master bedroom. I'd recommend it.

I like the name brand, quality and durability of the laminate flooring I got from Mohawk. The salespeople were very good and professional too. The flooring was installed in my kitchen and family room and it's been three weeks that I've had it. People should definitely consider Mohawk.

We bought Mohawk floor tile for a bathroom and a shower. The quality was fine. The only issue we had was the color was not accurate from the sample to the actual product. It was blue-gray when we saw it in the showroom and when we picked it up, it didn’t look right. We worked with Avalon to see if it was perhaps something wrong with the tile. They shipped some more. We thought maybe once the grout went in, it would pick up the color I saw in the sample, but it didn’t. It was gray. Avalon tried to fix it, but in the end it didn’t quite turn out the way we wanted.

We bought some carpet from Mohawk Flooring and had it install in a few rooms. They're comfortable and I'm very satisfied with them. I'd tell my friends that it's a good flooring.

We were building a house and Mohawk had the exact product we were looking for. We also knew they had a good reputation. We got a water resistant laminate from a restoration line and the color was perfect. My husband and his father did the installation and once they got the hang of it, it went smoothly. So far, it's doing great. Mohawk makes quality products at a good price.

Mohawk has a good selection of good products. The Berber carpet I got was the closest to match an existing carpet we had and I had it installed in the bedroom. It was for our vacation home so we weren’t there during the installation but it went very well. Mohawk had a good record of remote installations and that was the primary selling factor for us. It's been about two months now and the carpet has met my expectations. People should consider Mohawk in the future.

We're finishing our basement at home and we considered many brands but Mohawk Flooring has quality and advantageous price point. I wouldn't necessarily say it's a bargain but you get what you pay for. We got a cork-backed luxury vinyl because of the look and the fact that with the cork backing, the base floor needed minimal preparation. The quality of the material has been good and everything is as prescribed. We purchased quite a bit of it and we're still in the process of installing it. But we've had a couple of rooms done now for over a month. There's kind of a rhythm to the installation. Once we get about 10 rows in, it becomes easy. And so far, I love the finished product and it's doing great. The overall experience has been wonderful.

I got a Karastan carpet from Mohawk. It's probably more expensive than some of the others, but I have had one for 20 years, some in another home, and it's really lasted. I like the fact that it doesn't get stained easily. The representatives were all wonderful. They have very high level of knowledge of their products. The installers were pretty good, too. They did everything they were supposed to. The price I was quoted and paid was all inclusive in moving furniture, putting the carpet down and moving it back.

I'm loving the Mohawk vinyl plank I have installed in my home. I looked at all different kinds and I liked the way it looked. It seemed to have a better feel and was thicker than the others that I had chosen. In the store where I went and found it in, the cost was more expensive. But I ordered it from Dalton, Georgia, which is in wholesale or an outlet-like thing, and I got it almost $1 cheaper a square foot. The pattern of the flooring doesn't show dirt, which is nice and it helps because I have a dog that comes in and out. It's a wood look and that's what I like about it the most.

I bought the Mohawk carpet that the flooring company I used had in stock and it was nice. I like its look and feel. Also, the representatives I worked with were very knowledgeable.

We just moved in to our home and the flooring we picked from Mohawk Flooring matched the existing carpet. The part of the stairs into the room wasn't done so we bought carpet to finish the room. I haven’t seen it yet but the previous carpet's cheaper quality so it’s definitely not the highest class of stuff. Installation fee is around the ranges but the cost of the carpet itself wasn’t. But it hasn't been installed yet because we have to wait for some other repair to be done. But I'd tell a friend that I appreciated that we could simply finance with Mohawk Flooring.

Mohawk Flooring had a nice sale. The softness of the carpet flooring I got from them is my favorite feature, although I need to call them for a small section of the carpet that came up which was on the side leaving from the den onto the laundry room. Other than that, I’m happy with my experience. The sales person at the store I went to was very knowledgeable and helpful, and the installers were quick, professional, and courteous.

Instead of flooring, we found the carpet cheaper so we got it from Mohawk. The upgraded room is amazing. The carpet's quality seems great and I was really happy with that. I very highly recommend Mohawk. Our sales guy was phenomenal.

We’re a real estate office and we do residential. We work with a lot of Mohawk executives but we also purchase a lot and send our clients in the direction of Mohawk. I’ve been in real estate for 18 years and I was in new construction so Mohawk Flooring is one that I’ve used to help people with as far as picking the quality at the different distribution centers. I’m also the managing broker and I train the realtors so a lot of the young new ones ask me who to use and I highly recommend Mohawk. I believe in giving back to our local distributors and we always try to use local and support local because this is a part of the community.

I ripped out my previous carpet in my living room area. I have twin four-year-old boys and two dogs and it wasn’t holding up. When I bought the home three years ago, they installed new carpet and it didn’t last a year. My wife was out for a girl’s night out at one of her friend’s house who just actually had a carpet installed and the red wine test that she did with all them and that’s what sold her, and then I’ve watched the Rhino video and that’s what sold me. I looked at a couple of others but I weren’t even anywhere near comparing to what Mohawk was giving. It has been a great product. They’ve definitely put it to the test and it’s kind of a base color almost. It’s taken a beating from orange juice to chocolate milk to dog vomit and I it cleans right up. It’s a great carpet. I love it. The quality and cost wasn’t bad at all--the fabric, the back side of it, everything was nice and tight and I’m getting ready to do the rest of the house end of June.

I looked at every brand. I wanted the product quality but I also had to like the way it looked. I ended up buying Neikes floor covering from Mohawk for a combination laundry room and bathroom in my home. The cost was low-mid and reasonable. I got good quality flooring and it's met my expectations. I've only had it down a week, but it seems like it’s going to be durable. I'm happy with it. It is a little colder than the vinyl that we had down here before, and it’s a little harder. I noticed that when I stood on it.

I had a Mohawk Flooring carpet put in a month ago and we like it. We needed it to be heavy enough for the basement. We also needed it to be dirty looking enough on it's own because the kids are stubborn. We've vacuumed it once and it's a good product so far.

My experience with Mohawk Flooring was great. I do a ton of project with them. My frustration in working with them is that it's sold at so many different price points along the supply chain. The price point is very variable and it's a pain to go and find the products. I'd like to call 1-800 and get the products that I want to be mailed to me. Mohawk was a bit higher in terms of floor project. However, when I told them that I would go to Home Depot or Lowe's, they brought the price down. I really want the price. The first time, it took a lot of time. I actually put women on Linkedin to try to find somebody in the senior administration from Mohawk, so that I could just deal directly with them. It’s just annoying. I wish there is a way for me to access Mohawk products directly and a dedicated designer support team so that I don't have to go through all these dealers.

We’ve had Mohawk in our other house and was satisfied. This time, I bought a living room carpeting from them. I was happy with the choice that I made. I went with the colors of the pattern that I liked, and it blended with our furniture and our walls. It’s beautiful, and we’re very satisfied. The quality is there and I like their no-stain factor.

We're a contractor doing residential modeling. We deal with a company and a gentleman who has a showroom, sells Mohawk Flooring products and installs them. Mohawk's price is competitive. They offered the $500 coupon last month and that helped us to close one of the deals with one of the customers because they were looking at two different flooring products and because I was able to extend that $500 coupon to the customer, we got the order. So those kinds of promotional and incentives definitely help.

My house got hit by lightning and burned to the ground. They had to rip up the tile floors and the walls. And the only thing that was left was the exterior walls. The flooring got ruined under the windows. We had new windows put in before when they ripped out everything else. They ripped out the new windows and put in new, new windows. And that was a hassle. I had the Hickory hardwood flooring from Mohawk put down again, and lo and behold the same thing happened. I had some moisture coming through the slab. The flooring fell apart and got all moldy and crappy and I had to have six different areas ripped up. The installer should have used a marine glue on it.

My dog who is 12 kept falling downstairs. I always wanted to get a runner for my stairs and I had placed one that was $2,900. It was expensive and I had to be able to get it less expensive than that. I went to Avalon and they had a stripe that was perfect because it had navy, black, and khaki in it. I was a little worried because they said the stripes can be tough to put on a runner. But they did a wonderful job and it's perfect. They picked the loop binding that matched really well. The guys worked really hard and I understand that the carpet that I picked is really thick, so it's kind of hard to bind it and put it on stairs to bend it. They were sweating putting it in but they did a great job. They've got it in for me before Thanksgiving which was key for me.

We've got some high-end wall-to-wall carpeting and some luxury vinyl tile with Mohawk Flooring. We had the carpet installed in the living area and master bedroom, and the vinyl tile in the kitchen and hallway. I like the quality of the Mohawk products and its appearance.

I bought engineered hardwood from Mohawk. I like the product and they had the color I wanted. I put it on our house's main level. I've had it for several weeks now and I'm happy with its quality.

My mom bought the Mohawk smart train carpeting, and I also purchased it and had it installed in my home. Mohawk's was more expensive and I've considered the Shaw brand, but Mohawk has much higher quality and I'm much happier with it. The overall look is nice and its comfort level is my favorite feature. The only thing that I'm not as happy with is that it shows footprints rather a lot, but I figure that'll go away with time. Other than that, I can't say enough good about it and I'd easily recommend Mohawk.

We purchased the coastal gray flooring from Mohawk. It was an engineered flooring and it was installed all over the house. We liked the color and the floor looks beautiful. Mohawk told me about their product's durability and we have a lifetime warranty on it which all sounded good.

I found a carpet in Cincinnati and we were buying it for our home in Florida. I found a retailer in Florida that could provide us the same carpet and with a little investigative work, we were able to locate the exact style and color. It was also on sale, so we bought it. One thing that was annoying was that Mohawk private-labels all of their carpet to all of their retailers so we had a little bit of a challenge to try and find the exact product that I sourced in Cincinnati down in Florida. But outside of that, the experience was fine. We had the carpet installed in two bedrooms. There’s one seam that’s bugging me in the master bedroom, but I'm giving it some time to see what happens. Otherwise, the Mohawk carpet is good.

I had the carpeting from Mohawk for 10 years when I was living in North Carolina but you would never know that it was 10 years old. It looked as good as the day that I purchased it. We were so pleased with the product that I wanted to have it here when I moved to Pennsylvania. The flooring was easy to take care of and since Pennsylvania is a little bit dirtier than North Carolina because of the snow I wanted something that would be as easy to clean as what I had. It is worth spending the extra money on Mohawk Flooring to have quality and I would not purchase or even look at any other product.

We purchased carpet and faux wood flooring for a house that we were flipping and we chose Mohawk Flooring to get the cheapest but the best quality flooring possible. However the guy who calculated the numbers that we gave didn’t calculate enough so the flooring was short and I need to come out and get some more.

I like the style of the ceramic tiles at Mohawk Flooring and they were running a sale so I went for it. I've had the tiles in the laundry room for a month now and the quality is great. It looks great and my friends think so too.

I had a carpet made by Mohawk Flooring installed a couple of months ago and it’s exceeding my expectation. I absolutely love it. It is unique and has a black base with sparkles throughout so it's beautiful. It seems very durable and stain resistant. I was given all instructions on how to clean it but it's up in an office so there shouldn't be many problems. I had bought a new black cherry desk to go in this office and when the delivery person ran upstairs to see where they were bringing it, he yelled that he never saw a carpet like that in his life and that it is absolutely adorable. I was very happy with his reaction because that’s how I felt when I saw it. It's a little expensive but it's worth it. I am very pleased.

The first time I heard about Mohawk Flooring was in the newspaper. We also went to a store one time and the rep said the flooring was American made. Then, my wife spoke to a lady there about a discount on the floors and the lady said that we had to buy so much floor to get the coupon which surprised me. We liked the way the products looked so we went with it. The price that we got was good only because we caught it on sale. We got carpet, hardwood flooring, and tile and these were installed in the living room, the den, the dining room, the family room, the bedroom and the bathroom. We hired somebody to install and the store sent him. They did a good job but it's not totally finished yet and I got a few more things to get fixed. Overall, I had good experience with Mohawk and it's working out good.

Mohawk Flooring has good products. My customers picked out Mohawk's engineered oak flooring and I had the flooring installed two weeks ago in their living room, kitchen, hallway and dining room. It was very easy to work with. The customers like the look of the flooring and has met their expectations so far.

Quite disappointed with product (Mohawk® Home Expressions Saddle Hickory Vinyl Plank 5.84" x 35.8). Installed to spec with gaps around edges for expansion/contraction. After 6 months of use, almost every plank has cupped at the edges. Numerous end joints will not stay locked and flat. These were hammer (and re-hammered) to lock them in, but they keep popping up. Product has almost no resistance to scratching. We have developed scratches in almost all higher traffic areas. Previous encounters with DuPont laminate flooring were far superior to this product. As soon as spring arrives I will be ripping this junk out and replacing with some other product. It does not appear to me that the Mohawk name is synonymous with quality the way it used to be.

I fell in love with Mohawk's Flooring. It’s a hardwood floor, but not real hardwood and it's really pretty. I had it installed in my kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom, and hallway. I've had it for two months and it cleans up really nice. It doesn’t show a bunch of doggy hair or cat hair if I miss mopping it for a week. I also like the texture of it. It’s got about 15 different colors in it and I like the look. It was really cool. I would highly recommend them.

We had a budget for flooring and we were given the option for an engineered hardwood and we chose Vershire plank luxury vinyl. We were going to pick another Mohawk brand but they were out of stock, so we picked that instead and had them installed at the kitchen, dining, living room, bathroom, hallway and basement bathroom. It's easy to clean and it seems durable but for some reason, it shows scratches when my dog runs across it and claws at it. It doesn't seem to scratch the brown wood coloring but it's almost like there's a coating on top of it. And once it scratches that, then you can see it, which is unfortunate because one of the reasons we picked it is because we have a big dog. But it’s showing scratches more than the other luxury vinyl flooring we've had in the past. Other than that, the people who installed it missed a few planks and didn’t get them completely locked in, so there's a gap here.

I purchased laminate flooring and carpeting from Mohawk Flooring. The carpeting was installed on the steps from the first floor to the second floor. There were about 20 steps and two landings. The laminate flooring was installed in the top floor, in the foyer and in one of the bedrooms at the back. The wide plank look and its stability are the new flooring's best features. A lot of laminate is very thin but Mohawk's has a good quality and is about 13 millimeters. There are no issue with scratches. We got two standard poodles but the flooring remained very good. I also used the Bruce laminate cleaning with a dust mop and it comes off and shines perfectly all the time.

We got vinyl sheet flooring from Mohawk for the bathrooms in our vacation home. Congoleum was on my list, but I didn't want the cheap stuff. I wanted the style and quality, shopped around to get a better price and found Mohawk. The sales rep was excellent and my experience with Mohawk was positive all the way around. The vinyl sheet flooring turned out lovely, and I like it a lot. It's soft underfoot and it's not the old style I’m used to.

We purchased hardwood flooring from Mohawk and it was installed in the hallway in the living room of our home. Its cost and quality is comparable to other brands and we picked it because of its price. I had a great experience with them.

I do house flips and have purchased a lot of Mohawk products. I have purchased wall tile and ceramic floor from them. I buy a lot of things from them. Though I am not the end-user, I go for price and aesthetics and the store I shop at had a good deal on Mohawk tile. My most recent purchase was some grey ceramic wall tile that I have yet to install in a client’s shower.

I purchased a Somerset maple mist 6-inch engineered hardwood from Mohawk a year ago. The folks that we worked with, from a sales distribution perspective, were awesome. I had it put in my house and now it's going to a renovated house. It lightens our tones in it and it didn't feel like it was too light or dark of a hardwood and it would blend with anything over time as we remodeled other parts of the house. Its quality is also perfect for its price point and we're glad that we found it after going through a lot of different stuff. However, last week, I asked for a couple of additional pieces to trim it off but when we touched base today, we found out that it's on its way direct from the warehouse. We hope to track it down soon.

Mohawk Flooring was our second choice and we purchased one box to use as samples. The samples didn’t look like the sample boards in the store, so I didn’t go with those. It was an okay product, but we found something we liked better. We were looking for more variation and depth, and we got that from the one with birch. Mohawk's was birch too and it wasn't bad, but it just didn’t have the character that we were looking for.

I looked at Home Depot and walked around with all the brands, and though the cost seemed the same, the Mohawk Flooring quality seemed better. The carpet is beautiful and really thick. It’s squishy underneath my feet and everyone who has come over to see the place said it’s the nicest carpet. I also like the coloration and it’s a bit speckled and helps with stains. I was extremely happy with the product and it met my expectations.

When I went into the store I told the sales reps specifically that the carpet was for my master bedroom. We went from what was better wear-wise for the room. There were other types that I looked at but I liked the Mohawk. And they recommended the Mohawk for durability. I got the Mohawk Metro Spirit carpet in Winter Calm color and it looks great. I'm very pleased with it. Hopefully it's going to wear well. Everything went well. I had a great experience.

We had vinyl installed at our rental property by Mohawk Flooring and it looks great. We got it because of the 20 mil and it was a better quality product. I liked the ease of installation. I also liked that we have the ability to replace it if any of the pieces become torn or discolored. We can actually pull it up without taking the whole floor up. The product is all that we wanted it to be. So we're going to be very happy with it.

The other brands were a little bit cheaper but there were no other floors that look like the ones from Mohawk. I also took a few samples from Armstrong and other brands, but I like Mohawk’s designs. I purchased a very new laminate product from Mohawk Flooring and it comes in four different tones: a gray, a cream, and two different browns. This flooring was installed in the dining, kitchen, back entrance, laundry, powder room and office. However, the flooring chipped and I never expected it to chip the way it does. Nevertheless, my experience with Mohawk Flooring is good, overall.

We have carpeting from Mohawk Flooring installed in our hallway and bedrooms. Compared to other brands, it has a better quality for a lower cost and it also had a 25-year warranty. I like the color of the flooring. Plus, I like the pet guard in it since we have a little dog, it's also the reason why we purchased it. Everything was excellent.

We were remodeling our house and we went to the flooring store to look at the different vinyl. They showed us the Luxury Vinyl Tile from Mohawk Flooring which they had out in their showroom. We were able to walk on it and kind of get the feel of it. We liked it and it had a good price so we went with it. We put it in the entire house - bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen.

I have six dogs so I bought the Mohawk SmartStrand, which is dog-proof. I thought fluid would stay at the top even for a little bit but it doesn't. It still soaks into the carpet so I still smell a faint smell but it's still not as bad as with normal carpets. It's easier to clean up. It's weird because on the other carpet you could take a blacklight and find spots but with this carpet you can't. I've tried and even when the dog just peed and I put a blacklight to it and I still can't tell. Whether it's wet or dry it doesn't show up.

I purchased $10,000 worth of SmartStrand carpet in Dec 2012. The carpet has reappearing spots everywhere. I bought this carpet because of their YouTube rhino commercial. The company has denied all responsibility saying this is due to wicking and not covered. I also purchase an expensive waterproof pad at the time. I have asked them to reopen the claim since some of the stains like red wine will not come out and is covered. They told me to get an inspection for $350. I asked them to send their own representative since this is not in my budget. They said they will get back to me. It's been months and I continue to call them to no avail. This carpet has been cleaned professionally many times. I'm ready to rip it out as it is an embarrassment to me. They refuse to stand by their product. I'm ready to go to small claims court.

I purchased COREtec from Mohawk Flooring. I like the way it looked and it was easy to install. My dog likes it too and she's having a blast on it. We're glad we got it but I’m a little disappointed because there is a big, long scratch on it when I moved a footstool.

I looked around quite a bit and I wanted something that looked nice. I got a Karastan carpet that's a SmartStrand Silk. I'm kind of a slob and I like that the SmartStrand Silk was soft and stain-resistant. I also liked the carpet's quality and its color went all the way through. The carpet surpassed my expectations. I've only had it for about a month but I am very pleased with it.

BUYER BEWARE!!! DO NOT BUY CARPET FROM THEM!!! We bought very expensive SmartStrand carpet from Lowe's as Mohawk came highly recommended for pet stains/soils which is why we bought it... WELL, 5 years later we are being denied cause they state "Carpet does not cover pet urine." UMMM what the heck is pet soil then?

When I purchased two new carpets from Mohawk Flooring, I ordered low-pile. I had one for the living room and one for the bedroom. I chose Mohawk because I liked what I saw and I wanted it. The carpets are beautiful but initially, they delivered the high-pile. I had a very flat carpeting before and they gave me something with a little bit of depth but I was not thrilled with the height and that's not what I wanted. So they came and changed it one time. They also called me when they gave me the wrong color. They were very nice.

Mohawk luxury vinyl planks were installed in our home. I considered several brands and we actually found the product at another location. The store did not have the planks on display at the place where we purchased them but we were quoted the best price and the store was convenient to where we live. The planks are waterproof and although we’ve only had them for a week, we’re happy. Everything went smoothly.

I went to Calhoun and bought some of Mohawk Flooring's linoleum. I'm restoring an old Victorian home into a restaurant and some of the rooms didn’t have hardwood in it and so, I replaced it with the linoleum. It is a board-looking stuff and it's good and thick. I like it and I got a good deal on it, and that’s all that matters. The price was reasonable and it was of good quality. Also, you can't tell it's vinyl. You got to get down on your hands and knees to figure it out.

We were looking at various brands and we settled with Mohawk Flooring. We got the luxury vinyl flooring called COREtec. The quality was a little better and the cost was very comparable. Also, any spills of liquid could be cleaned up easily and we've been pleased with the product. I've had a pleasant and acceptable experience and I'd recommend Mohawk Flooring.

After purchasing a home from Lennar in June of 2015 that had Mohawk hardwood flooring installed by Advanced Flooring in Charlotte, NC the floor started to come up, have huge gaps between the planks and splinter in several areas. Through the first year the builder sent Advanced Flooring back to replace the planks with issues. After our 1 year inspection I continued to express my concern to the builder about the plank separation and issues with the floors. We can put quarters between many of the planks. The floor is not wearing well. I can see splinters and the non finished sides of the planks all over. It has been an extremely disappointing process.

Sorry this is so long, but it has been a VERY LONG process dealing with Mohawk (and it is still not resolved). I was deciding between different colors of Mohawk Hedon or Hedon Plus carpet for my house and so my saleswoman at Flooring America asked Mohawk to send me a sample of Winter Cloud color. The saleswoman sent me an email and told me that they would be sending me a sample but Mohawk only had a Hedon Plus sample, so they would be sending that. I was happy because that is what I thought I wanted to order. I got the sample and it did say “Hedon Plus Winter Cloud” on the back.

I had carpeting from Mohawk installed in my living room and I'm totally happy with my experience. I had a very light colored carpeting and I have an 11-year old dog who has a sensitive tummy. She got sick and the color of the food stained the carpeting. I cleaned it but I could not get the color out. So I decided to go with a blend and a darker one. She barfed on it three times and it comes right off. Also, I have white leather furniture and the stark contrast is really beautiful. When I get around to working on the bathrooms, I am going to put that carpet in. It blends pretty much nicely with pretty much anything. I would totally recommend it.

We're a showroom so we represent other companies but we always try to steer toward Mohawk when it comes to carpets. They happen to have the best product on the market and we love them. I just placed two Mohawk orders this morning and everything was good as the last.

A dealer installed Mohawk carpeting all throughout the house. The work is good, but the carpet wasn't as plush as I needed. You could also make footprints on the carpet which I don't like. Plus, the ounce of the carpet weight is less even though I'm told that it is a certain weight. I purchased from Mohawk several times before and their products were very good but I feel that the quality now is not what it was before.

We remodeled our ranch-style home and we purchased floating vinyl from Mohawk for the entire floor. We wanted something waterproof and scratchproof. The cost is a little higher than some of the other floors that we looked at but we liked the flooring and the design. We also liked the warranty and the fact that it was a floating floor that you could put over an existing floor. Also, it has no VOC, so we wouldn’t have to worry about any kind of problems with a chemical smell.

I bought hardwood flooring from Mohawk and the only complaint I had was that there was no long pieces of hardwood in the boxes when we got them. Everything was 6 to 8, 10 inches, 12 inches long. It was pretty bad. As a matter of fact, the guy who was installing was having trouble putting it together and it took him about three times longer to do it because of the tiny little pieces in the boxes. It ended costing me about twice the amount to have it put down as what it normally would cost. It was very dissatisfying and I wouldn’t recommend Mohawk because of what happened to me. I probably will not buy from Mohawk again for that reason. If we buy it, we’ll but it somewhere else and then I’ll open the boxes to make sure that what’s in there is what they say is in there.

We've purchased our carpet 18 mos ago and it's losing its twist AND has wear. I called Carpet One, the company we purchased the carpet from and they set up a claim. Mohawk had an inspector come out. After 2 weeks I had to call asking for a report and he hadn't done it yet. When Carpet One called to check on the report, they, I'm assuming Mohawk said they hadn't heard back from the inspector. They finally called Carpet One to say he will work on the report, it took him 2 hrs after we waited 2 weeks to say he didn't find anything wrong. It's sooo obvious it's lost its twist and is flat. I'm stuck having to pay for my own inspector. I had builder carpet that lasted 10 yrs before we purchased the worse carpet ever.

I had carpet installed from Mohawk Flooring for the whole house. Compared to other brands, they have a tighter weave and spills would stay on top and wouldn’t penetrate the carpet. It’s going to last more than 20 years and you won’t have any wear-patterns, whereas with the polyester blends, you’ll have where you mainly sit all the time, and it’ll have traffic patterns. This carpet won’t. It's awesome, I love it and it's beautiful. It has a two-tone grey and lighter grey. It’s a small pile carpet and it’s something you would see more in commercial properties, like in a business.

Maggie of Orlando, FL and Vicki of Zebulon, NC- we have fought Mohawk for over a year with the same peeling, bubbling and scraped off finish on our Echo Lake Java engineered wood floor you are describing. Mohawk refuses to replace or do anything to help us despite the obviously defective flooring and the thousands of dollars we invested. We've been told we must hire another inspector at our own expense to report on the cause of the floor damage - and then they'd decide! More money from us and still no guarantees. We're meticulous homeowners disgusted by the investment in this floor and zero backing from Mohawk. We plan to file a lawsuit next - knowing there are others, class action may be in order.

I bought a house and in the den, there was wood flooring that I liked but it was connected to a lot of carpet. I didn’t want all the carpet so I had the carpet ripped out and extended the wood floor this August. I called the person where they originally got the floor from and matched it up. The blending went really well and I like it but it scratches really easy. I found another scratch and I was wondering how it happened when I don't even have a dog anymore.

Mohawk Fashion Knowledge style(s) confuse me. I have seen two different style numbers, both differ in appearance. My point is that I selected a style, rather on the shaggy-side, one that is soft and fringy. What was installed is a short dense curly pile. The merchant will not correct this mistake - they say this is what I ordered. I have seen samples of both styles - the style numbers are very similar. I have complained to Jim in the consumer division, have a claim number. Nobody from Mohawk has contacted me i.e. reg sales rep. Have also written to the CEO of Mohawk asking him to intervene. I am sick of the whole mess - too disorganized.

I bought a carpet manufactured by Mohawk Flooring and I had it installed in the family room. The delivery was quick and the installation was good. We like its color and that it's very soft. It's speckled and the design is called Crushed Pearl. It looks very nice and feels nice on our feet but it has a pile on it which makes me work hard to vacuum it. We've had it for not even a month but so far, so good.

The price and the quality were important and I like that the flooring is three-quarter inch hardwood that’s really light. We got the vinyl flooring from Mohawk and had it installed in the two bedrooms, kitchen, dining room and living room of our home. We got hardwood installed in the living room and I was very happy with the installation. However, the floor is slippery for the dog but my wife and I are happy with it. They did a good job.

Purchased SmartStrand carpet for our first home that we purchased less than 2 years ago. Paid over 7 THOUSAND dollars for this 'premium, stain resistant' carpet. I can say this is hands down the most disappointing purchase we have made for our home. The seams in the carpet were VERY visible after installation. Called the installer back who apologized and said the carpet was very hard to work with and with the style (half close loop half open) and colour (beige) it was next to impossible to make the seams invisible. Ummm, what?! That information should have been given when we bought the carpet. The edges were also frayed looking. He told us to vacuum the carpet a few times and with use the seams would blend and the edges would smooth out. NOT TRUE.

We went to Bell's Carpet looking for some carpeting for our new house. We had a budget so we looked at what was within the budget. We liked Mohawk’s styling and had those installed in the two guestrooms which we haven’t used yet but I’m sure it’s fine.

I purchased Mohawk American Retreat Engineered Hardwood Flooring and had it installed in January 2016. Over time I noticed splintering on the floors. I live alone and do not have any pets. I have a housekeeper that sweeps, mops the floors once a month. I basically stay in my carpeted bedroom or on the area rug in my living room 98% of the time. Although this probably sounds bad, I rarely sweep or mop my floor between the housekeepers visits unless there is a spill or trash on the floor. In addition, I'm afraid to make the floor worse by sweeping/mopping excessively. There is no reason why this floor should be deteriorating at the rate that it is. I've contacted the place of purchase for assistance. I'm not hopeful that they will be able to help me. It also does not sound like Mohawk will stand by their product from reading these reviews. Any advice would be appreciated.

There's a store close to where we live and they sell Mohawk Flooring. We like the extent of the variety of product that Mohawk has and we fell in love with one of their wood laminate flooring and bought it. We didn’t consider other brands after that. We first installed the flooring in our living room and dining room area then in the office/guestroom and finally in the master bedroom. We love the flooring and we just vacuum it. We also use a product called Bona to clean it but we don’t have to use that much.

We bought our carpet around 2 1/2 years ago and after a year we noticed that that carpet showed signs of wear. You can tell everywhere we walked and had our furniture as the carpet has flattened. Had the store rep come and look and he too believed the carpet had showed signs of wear. The rep for Mohawk never came to look at the carpet. I sent him pictures as did the store rep. We had the carpet professional cleaned as they told us after 18 months it should be cleaned so we did.

Mohawk Flooring is being sold in our local flooring store and Mohawk's Luxury Vinyl flooring has the right color. I had the flooring installed in my home's sunroom, kitchen, dining room and hallway. The flooring was fine, has met all expectations and good for the money I paid. I also like that it’s waterproof and stain-proof.

While buying the stain guarded carpet, we had stains that simply seemed to stay. The carpet was cleaned by a professional as required. Mohawk said it was the pad. The store that sold the pad and carpet noted that it was a Mohawk carpet pad. Mohawk mentioned that may be installed incorrectly. The store manager noted that the carpet was clearly installed correctly and Mohawk had never honored a warranty in the several years that he had been in the industry. Mohawk sent a person who noted that the carpet was not defective. He gave no reason why the stains would stay, but noted that he was not a "chemist." Be a good consumer and avoid this company. The warranty is only advertising.

I purchased a Karastan carpet and want it installed in the basement family room and bedroom. I've used it previously and I loved it. The price is more expensive than other brands but I like the quality of it. I also like the softness and durability of it. It's fabulous. Overall, I am very satisfied with Mohawk Flooring.

I bought a Silver Strand carpet from Mohawk Flooring and have it installed in all the rooms of our home that needed to be carpeted. It had a lot to offer in terms of stain resistance, softness, and color. So, it exceeded the other brands. Although we need to contact them regarding a couple of seams, the carpet is great. We went in knowing what we wanted, so when we did the purchasing, it was pretty easy. Overall, the experience was great.

Our son and daughter-in-law had put a Mohawk product into their home in Minnesota. We liked it so much that we decided to go that route. We bought the Mohawk SmartStrand and had it installed in our bedroom. We like the texture and the softness of it. Our flooring is wonderful and I love it. Overall, our experience with Mohawk Flooring was very good.

Purchased my Mohawk carpet in 9/13. Had it professionally cleaned on 1/8/15 and again 7/17. The last one cleaning wicking appeared and they came back and re-cleaned the carpet, wicking appeared within a few days and I noticed the carpet untwisted in a number of areas. The carpet service said they would refund my money because pet stains could not be removed. Had another Professional carpet service come out and look at it and he said the wicking problem is due to pet stains.

Not Happy that it has taken a Mohawk over 2 weeks to inspect the new flooring that they are supposed to be sending to our installer. They put in for a claim because it was all defective. I'm tired of waiting for you guys to get our floor to our installer so they can get it installed. I will never recommend your brand to anyone. Where's my floor?! I'm tired of walking on nails!

Mohawk Engineered Flooring is Peeling, Bubbling, and Worse. We selected these floors though our builder, Taylor Morrison. We saw immediate issues with scratching and the finish on the floors. We tried to work this through our builder, who had several flooring inspectors out to see the flooring. All of them said the floors showed excessive wear for new flooring and they were concerned about the finish basically flaking off - but concluded that it was installed correctly so they really had no further liability. They basically said, "Hey, you chose cheap flooring".

Our experience with Mohawk Flooring was very pleasant. The cost of carpeting was reasonable and we liked the carpet and its thickness. Also, the sales person was nice and helpful and she worked with us on it.

We purchased Mohawk Flooring rugs for our bedroom and tiles for our bathroom. They had other things but I went straight for the Mohawk rugs ‘cause I loved it. I liked the color and the softness of it. It happened to be of good quality too and it was also child and pet-proofed which I liked. We picked the products up from their warehouse. Then we transported it down here to cut cost. We've moved so we’re in a very rural area now. We're doing an addition so we're doing that first, then the installer would come back to do the rest of the house. So the tiles have been installed but the rugs haven't, but I've got what I needed and it worked out so I’m a satisfied customer.

I coordinated Mohawk Flooring’s Great Outdoors for a client. Before purchasing it, we looked at other carpets. The client purchased the Great Outdoors and the store cut it. The quality was better and its cost was higher. The color of the carpet matched the small swatch but the color was very difficult. Mohawk should have samples larger than a 2x2 square on a board though because it was difficult to choose the color from all the other colors. My client also wound up getting other stuff with the carpet. She then changed her mind about the carpet and decided ultimately to go with the wood flooring.

Bought the Mohawk SmartStrand carpet because it has "pet protection". Thought this would be a smart idea to have with 3 dogs in the house. After a couple years while vacuuming we noticed the seam falling apart. The carpet backing is still together, just the carpet is coming apart at the seam. We have learned this is called delaminating. We called our retailer and they contacted the local rep. Mohawk hires a third party inspector who came out to evaluate the situation. Their inspection concluded our carpet is delaminating because there was dog urine in that area. The urine causes the glue to break down and lose adhesion to the backing. Originally was told this is outside the warranty because the dog urine caused the delaminating.

We had vinyl flooring from Mohawk put down in the kitchen, foyer and powder room. I was working with a design team and we looked at things together, but I went with what I like and what they recommended. I chose what we thought would go really well in the area. And I certainly like it very much. I also like that it doesn’t show a lot of dirt. I’m happy with its appearance and how I have to take care of it.

We have purchased Premium Glueless Luxury Vinyl Flooring (LVT) from Mohawk Flooring last year and it was installed in our own home by professional installers. Within a month this floor was really bad: it was lifting and start shrinking. We have contacted Mohawk and they send their inspector who made a report stating that the vinyl floor is NOT defective. Since then it gotten worse: it is now shrunk even more from the walls, it's lifting throughout our home, breaking in pieces even more.

3 years ago I renovated my upstairs and purchased Mohawk carpet (legacy) from Lowe's. My dad was a Mohawk dealer and I had always purchased Mohawk carpet. My dad had closed his business and I had to reluctantly purchase carpet elsewhere. Installation went well and I was satisfied with color etc. However it was long that I noticed anything that touched the floor would cause a stain that I was unable to remove. After numerous attempts and hiring a professional carpet cleaner the stains returned. The carpet also shows every footstep which adds to the dreadful look of the carpet. I am the only person who uses the upstairs room, there is very little traffic other than myself.

BP459 Magnolia Terrace and 717 bleached parchment: We built our home in 2008 and Carpet House of Fredericksburg VA installed the Mohawk carpet. We started noticing major buckling in all rooms of the house. Our upstairs and hallway as well as the basement. Contacted Mohawk as well as Carpet House. Carpet House came out to look then a rep from Mohawk came out to look at the problem. Mohawk tried to blame it on our vacuum and tried to say we must have had it improperly cleaned...

Quality-wise, you can also tell the difference between Mohawk and a no-name carpet. It’s a good product.

I purchased 86 yards of 'high quality' Beautiful Destiny Karastan Carpet which was installed in May 2017 (4,960.59 total). The installers were incredibly professional and did a fine job, unfortunately all three rooms required seams, in 2/3 rooms the piece used to complete the floor did not match. The Flooring Company agreed to come back and re-install a new carpet that would match. This is a burden to the homeowner, moving furniture for the second time, but we did it.

I purchased carpet from them and had it installed in two bedrooms and so far, so good. It’s a very smooth carpet and it has longer hair to it. Also, it looks nice in the room, especially its color. Everything was very good, so I definitely would recommend it.

My mother and father purchased a home in the Tucson, Arizona area. It had been flipped but the two bedrooms were carpeted. The main living area and office were all done in Mohawk Flooring. The carpet was a very light. We'd already had it cleaned once but they moved in on September 1st, 2016, and it was terrible already. So, we had the installers rip out everything and match the flooring. Now, the whole place is all the same flooring and we used the Mohawk to make sure it matched. They responded very quickly when I got a hold of them.They came out, measured and gave us a price right on the spot. We had it within 10 days and they were putting it in. The new flooring seems to have a nice luster to it. One of the things that I liked personally is when I walk on it, I don't hear the sound that you hear with a lot of cheaper laminate floorings.

I wanted a carpet with a beautiful color, and I wanted it to feel really nice and soft ‘cause I didn’t want to get up out on cold flooring when I woke up. Mohawk carpet was installed in my master bedroom and I love the way it feels under my feet. It's a nice carpet but I wish I did the pattern that I wanted. It's okay though. Overall, Mohawk is a great company with a great product and I'm very happy. I have and would recommend them.

I purchased wall carpet from Mohawk Flooring and it was installed in our living room, dining room and hallway. I looked at various things and I liked this particular pattern so I took it. And the rep who helped me was most helpful and I appreciated that. However, I’ve not been able to clean the carpet sufficiently where a couple of spots have occurred so I need to speak to someone about that at some point. I’m just having a little trouble but it’s rectifiable. I'm very satisfied.

I got myself a Mohawk carpet and the cost and quality are good compared to other brands. It's nice and I like the feel of it. However, there's an issue with the manufacturing since there is an ink stain on the carpet. It’s not ridiculously obvious but it’s a multi colored gray-black type carpet with the green spot. Mohawk said they were going to contact the manufacturer and get back with me but I never heard anything. Other than that, everything was good and it's a beautiful carpet.

I bought carpet from Mohawk for the bedroom. It seemed to be the right balance and, over others, I chose Mohawk because of its stain resistance. We have a pet and I just wanted to make sure that the pet was not going to affect the carpet like they had the previous carpets that we have. And stain resistance has already proven to be good. And the installation was very good, too. We’re very happy with that and impressed at how they came in and they got the job done very quickly. It was a great experience.

I am the owner of several nice apartment buildings. I had this product installed last November in one of my units, just 7 months ago. The floor in the kitchen had had linoleum which had lasted for several years that was starting to look a bit worn. I decided to spend more on the luxury vinyl planking, as it is supposed to be so extremely durable, claiming to stand up to heat, water, you name it. It did look great when we first put it in. I was very pleased. However, with the summer sun shining in the kitchen sliding door, it has warped horribly. The plain old linoleum never did this.

We purchased at The Floor Store and we looked at all of their selection. It's useful that they provided all the samples and we're able to take it home. The cost was higher than what we had anticipated spending but we really liked the looped look of the carpeting from Mohawk. It was cleaner, more modern and we liked the pet free cleaning warranty it came with, that’s why we picked it. It was installed in our front room and it looked very neat and easy to clean. It’s great.

We remodeled our second bathroom in all marble. The brand wasn’t necessarily the consideration. It was the look that we were going for. We like the shape and it was different than your standard squares, so that was nice. It worked with our floor plan. The quality of the product was good. and has met my expectations. We're happy campers and I would recommend it to others if they inquired.

We purchased Architexture engineered wood flooring from Mohawk. It had an antique barn wood look, which was the look and color that we wanted. We had the flooring installed in the kitchen, dining, halls, and entryway of our home. Since the installation, the flooring has been easy to clean. It doesn't show wear like carpet does and it's pleasant to walk on it.

I called & asked the general manager to come to our home & look at our carpet. It has "waves" or rolls, & has a seam that is visible-as in there are 2 inches of an area that always lays flatter than the rest. She told me that the carpet would shrink after a professional cleaning. Instead it created more waves. The cleaner (highly reputable) told me that the carpet needed to be stretched, or it was delaminating. He could see the seam as well. She said she couldn't see, & then when I got down on the floor and pointed it out to her, she tried to tell me it was due to the lighting. You can see it when the house is dark!

We purchased linoleum from Mohawk Flooring, which was installed in our kitchen and family room. Mohawk's cost and quality were the best compared to others. And their product and the quality of the material sealed the deal. I like our new flooring, its pattern, and color. It's been a great deal and we're very satisfied.

I was looking for something that would have a long wear and I was reassured that the product would last, that it would maintain itself. Now that it’s installed it looks fabulous and I’m perfectly happy. The floor is beautiful. The color is great and it’s maintained very well. I have dogs and a lot of traffic in the kitchen but it looks as good as the day I laid it.

I purchased a DuraCeramic from Mohawk Flooring. It was like a vinyl but not exactly a laminate. I had to hunt for it because the place who did the original installation no longer carried it but Mohawk Flooring special ordered it for me. I chose that because it matched the laminates I had in other parts of the house. I had it installed most recently in a bathroom. But I also have it installed before in two bedrooms. It has been on a house that I rent out for about eight years. The whole house got some wear and tear from the tenants but it's held up. The new one is a little more susceptible to denting than the laminates I have but other than that it's fine. I also like its appearance. It looks like a limestone but it's not.

We got some wall tiles from Mohawk Flooring which my wife preferred over the other brands that we considered. Our bathroom's all walled now and I like the tiles that have some accent features in the center of them. Also, the tiles have held up well. The ease of installation is the best part that I like.

We've been using Mohawk Flooring for a while now and we recently got a grey carpet from them. I installed it in the whole house, except the kitchen and the bathroom, and it was easy. It looks like hardwood and I like the color, which goes with my color scheme right now. Overall, my experience with Mohawk has been great.

The products from Mohawk looked good and I needed something durable. The vinyl that we ordered from them was good but the glue wasn't. The glue was not as strong so we had to weigh down some of the planks. The flooring has grooves in it so if I mop it, the cleaning is not as good. It looks more like wood so I have to take a brush to it and brush every couple months to do a deeper cleaning because otherwise, the mop doesn't go into the grooves. Overall, my experience with Mohawk has been good and I will re-order.

Mohawk had what I was looking for at a good price. The flooring has different colors in it and I like that it’s multi-dimensional because the wood has different grains in it. And then I used three different sizes so it’s an artistic floor. I also put down an oak floor in another room, but I like this one so much better. Also, I liked that I didn’t have to polyurethane it. And it was all done. When we got the wood, my contractor lined everything up for a week and then put it in. I’ve had the flooring for months now and I love it.

Mohawk did a good job installing carpet in a room at our home. My mom shopped around and Mohawk's cost and quality are fair compared to other brands. We would recommend Mohawk Flooring.
