I would not recommend anyone purchasing Mohawk flooring. They did not stand behind their product. They treated me as a customer like I did something wrong when it was the poor quality of their product which was and is the problem. I purchased Mohawk laminate flooring at a retailer (not a big box). Started laying floor and had trouble getting to lock and lay stable. After laying quite a bit, noticed the channels were not flat and some were empty with material missing. I called retailer. He said send pictures of bad pieces and they would order another box.

I continued to lay flooring trimming bad pieces so I could use. Then retailer calls and says that Mohawk will not replace unless we return all bad pieces. Somewhat late since I had used them. Then I opened more boxes and found more damaged boards. Not all boards in boxes appeared damaged, they were mixed in. Now house is half done and all torn up. I just continued and finished with several damaged boards saved. I assumed the boards which did not appear damaged the locking channels worked but finding now they were defective too.

In addition their locking system was so hard to lock together. Now there are spots where you can see wood showing through. Not a whole side of a board but just a partial portion of board. This because locking system was defective. In hindsight I should have opened every box before I started and inspected then send whole floor back. I assumed I bought a quality product. My mistake. Then Mohawk treats me very badly and does not stand behind their defective product. My recommendation is not to buy Mohawk because quality is not good. In my case it is too late. My floor is installed and I am going to live with it.

We had a very good experience purchasing our Mohawk Flooring. However, we did have an incident when it was first being installed. We still had the sample that we brought home with the stock number and it was exactly what the salesman put on their paperwork. But when they delivered it, soon as we took one look, it was no comparison to what we picked out. And so, my husband read the numbers off of that carpet versus what we had on our sample and on the paperwork, and they said that Mohawk put the wrong label on the wrong carpet. So that was the only thing that was bad because they then had to reschedule and order all-new carpet again.

Our house was only two years old, so the builders put in the more low-grade carpet with the thinner padding, and we like thicker padding. And the Mohawk came out nice. It's cushiony, but it definitely shows a lot of footprints and it just didn't look as plush as the thicker carpet. You can completely vacuum it, it looks beautiful, but you walk from one side of the room to the other and you can see your footprints in it. That was the only thing that I didn't really like. If we had gone with a lower grade carpet, it probably wouldn't show it as much. But the flooring has met my expectations very well.

I had some carpet put down last week on the stairs and in four bedrooms in my beach house. It's the same carpet that was installed in the living room which I bought at a certain place a couple of years ago, and I like that place where I got it. I also liked the Mohawk Flooring rep. However, the carpet I have ordered were on back order for about a month and nobody knew why. Other than that, the carpet is really easy to clean up. We have lots of dogs and people occasionally spill some beverages, but I like how well the stains come off from the carpet.

We did a lot of research online and then we went with a local flooring company. They brought over samples and we chose a luxury vinyl plank from Mohawk Flooring. We like the color and the design. The quality seems good. You get what you pay for. We haven't installed it yet because we're still getting some plumbing and electrical done in the basement. But the off-gassing of the product is stronger than what we have anticipated. We've been keeping it in our garage from the time being and that smell has permeated my car. I'm not impressed about that. I wish there had some sort of warning about the off-gassing.

We had new wood flooring from Mohawk put in. We went with Mohawk because of the durability in the Texas heat humidity. I originally was going to go with another floor, but it wasn't as friendly with the humidity. I was advised that maybe it wouldn't work. We had the Mohawk installed in our living room and dining area. Our favorite feature is the dramatic change in the look of the house because of it. We had damaged wood floors before and we got them as a fixer-upper. We're very happy with it and if I'd ever need a flooring again, that would be what we would do.

The Avalon flooring from Mohawk has good quality but doesn’t look the same as it’s supposed to. I looked at the swatch they had for the carpet and it was perfect because it had all three colors in it here in my room. When they put it down, it looked like solid brown. But you can see the other colors if you’re sitting a foot away from it. The price was a little bit higher than I wanted to spend as well. I’m very dissatisfied.

I have an eight-bedroom home that is located toward the Atlantic Ocean in Atlantic City. Most of my flooring is redone hardwood which was original to the home in 1918. And on the 4th floor, the flooring that was done was a Berber carpet that was in bad shape. I just decided to finish it. Mohawk has a good write-up on their site about how easy their product was to install, so we ended up buying from them. Also, there was a YouTube video where a woman was putting it down. So if a woman could do it, I could do it.

My wife and I decided to use a vinyl product that imitated the local wood. It was 8 millimeters thick and the transition was very easy. I installed it myself and it was easy. It was easy to cut. I cut it with a tipped razorblade and you snap it nice and clean. It went down well and came out really nice. I was glad. The quality is amazing and it has a 20-year warranty. It's also easy to clean. The only thing I didn't like was that it wasn't cheap. It was $3.59 a square foot. But you save down on the installation if you do it yourself.

The better news with the product that I was using was it was waterproof. Being near the ocean, you get a lot of sand and the kids running through the house so there’s no carpet in my house at all for that reason. I've also put this stuff in my kitchen. It was a different color. Everybody that looks at it thinks it’s hardwood floor until they get on their knees to feel it. Mohawk’s the best. They do a nice job. They're dependable with value for your dollar.

I contacted Mohawk and went through their process to request a warranty refund. The company who put in the carpeting stated that the carpeting didn't live up to expectations and should be under warranty. Hi Sonja, I'm Laura from Mohawk - I'm really sorry for your experience. I asked our Consumer Affairs department about your claim, and they explained that you can in fact have the claim reopened. Since the claim was declined based on an inspection, you would hire an inspector to come assess the carpet and have them submit a report to Mohawk - that will reopen the claim. You want to make sure the inspector is certified by either the NICFI or the IICRC. Their websites are http://www.nicfi.org/Search.aspx and http://www.iicrc.info/locateapro/homepage.aspx (on both sites, you enter your zip code to find your closest inspectors - they usually have a wide radius of service). You or the inspector would email the new report to consumer@mohawkind.com. That will reopen the claim. I know in your review you mention stairs as one area of concern - stairs may or may not be covered by your warranty; it depends on the specific product you purchased. We just moved to this house from another state, so we had all the walls painted and all the flooring in the house redone. We happened to stop by a Mohawk place and we saw their carpeting. We were able to get the color that we wanted and we liked that it was available. We wanted it plush in certain areas and we like it that way in the bedroom. They put in an eight-pound pad with it and said that was the plushest pad that was available. As we’re using it, we don’t feel it's that plush. But it's adequate and we love the carpet itself. We also purchased hardwood flooring and it looks great. But there are places where I walked down the hall and it’ll pop. You can hear it snap a little bit but the installers said that that will work out over time and that it may take six months to a year for it to stop doing that.

We also got laminate flooring for the bathrooms. Each piece measures about three-foot long and a foot wide. We got the plank stuff upstairs, too, and it's great for rolling around down. All in all, we love the floors and we're very satisfied with the materials. But we were a little upset with the installations, so Mohawk needs to talk with their dealers about that.

We got two kinds of carpet from Mohawk Flooring. We wanted carpet because we're just not set-up for anything else. Also, we're not gonna stay here forever so we wanted something that was affordable. The carpet was supposed to be good for pets. It has a little pattern that has dimples which is a little different color of carpet and then the carpet stands up. From what we were told, this particular pattern doesn't run a straight line so when it was cut, those little indents didn't line up. I like the carpet so far, but I wish I could have picked a different design.

We had Berber before and we really liked it, but we didn't like the seam that we got from them. We wanted something that would be a little bit plusher but not plush. The carpet we got was partly Berber because there was a little bit of a plush to it. We thought that they would weave together better, but they didn't. If we had to pick again, we wouldn't pick that carpet. The carpet was affordable and Mohawk Flooring is a good brand and company. We wouldn't recommend the pattern, but I liked what they offered and they had a lot of different things to choose from. I would recommend Mohawk Flooring.

But their carpeting is good quality. It's soft and just what we were looking for our home. The only thing that I thought was kind of odd for a return customer was the offer. When you buy the carpeting, you get 12 months interest-free. But after that, it’s something ridiculous like 24% and I know a lot of the credit cards or creditors are high. But for return customers, I would highly recommend lowering that because I didn’t use all of my credit through Mohawk for that reason. I actually did payment two different ways, but I would have done at all if the interest rate had been lower especially for return customers.

During the summer of 2015 we undertook a large renovation in our home that included complete replacement of our floors. We had lived in our home for 7 years with Mohawk engineered floors and had no problems, but we wanted a different look. After much research, we chose to use Mohawk Hardwood flooring due to perceived trust in the Mohawk brand and quality of product. We moved out of our house during the week long installation process and used a verified and

trusted installer for the floors. After a week, the floors were complete and we were extremely pleased with the finished product. Unfortunately, about a month after installation, we noticed the finish wearing off on some of the board's edges. We contacted our dealer immediately and they reported the problem to the local Mohawk rep. We were told that an inspector would be coming to our home to assess the situation.

After several months, an inspector called and scheduled an appointment (Claim # ** - Cornerstone Commercial Flooring). He completed his inspection and told us that Mohawk would be in touch. Fast forward ANOTHER couple of months and we received a letter from Mohawk on December 6, 2016 stating that the issues were caused by moisture and that Mohawk was not liable damage. We were extremely frustrated that a brand and product we trusted was not taking responsibility for n obvious manufacturer defect.

We are a couple years into our floors and the failing boards continue to flake and lose their finish. We had the same installer come to our home recently to install floors on our second floor. He immediately noticed the finish defect issue and stated that he has seen this in other homes he has installed floors in. He pointed out that there are specific floor boards failing, and the ones next to them are not… meaning that it CANNOT be a moisture issue. He would be happy to testify that this is not a moisture issue and is, in fact, a defect in the product. We have gone through all the proper channels to remedy this situation to no avail. What a disappointment that a major brand such as Mohawk has such lousy customer and warranty support. I’ve included extensive photos of the different areas below for reference.

We went through two different flooring types because we’ve been through laminate then we found out that laminate was not waterproof all the way. We were putting it in our new bathroom and in the kitchen so we wanted it to be waterproof. Well, I needed waterproof, kids-proof, husband-proof and dog-proof.

Then they changed it to LVT from Mohawk. It's the new flooring that’s waterproof. We looked through a lot of tiles and that was the best. It has a really good design and it is perfect for us because it looks like real wood. That was a good thing because there were some that looked really fake. I wish it was a little bit less on the wood design on it. When you walk barefoot, you can feel the grates on it. It's not smooth on the skin but I love it because it's not tiling. It’s not cold. It also came with the padding underneath so we didn’t have to put padding underneath. But it feels like it would need a little bit more and I would’ve had that extra padding a little thicker. But that aside, it’s really nice.

Other than that, Mohawk is a great company and they have a great product. I liked them the best and I would go back and get all my flooring from them.

We had been flooded in the kitchen and had to replace the hardwood flooring. We made a homeowner's claim and thought to change it up a little bit, so at least it looks new and different. We tried to find something a little bit lighter and bought some laminate flooring from Mohawk Flooring. We like its color, texture, and grooves. It looks really nice now. We had all the flooring in the living room, dining room, and kitchen replaced. I wasn’t crazy about the fact that when I dropped a plate and it made a ding.

I would tell others that it’s a good product. The planks were heavy and durable. And they seem to be packaged and made in such a way that the contractor just breezed through installation. Plus, it cuts well. Once you decide on a color and you get a delivery date, and they acclimate to the weather in the house, they just go in quickly. In six hours, they’re done and they’re gorgeous.

I will NEVER put Mohawk carpet in my home again. We bought very expensive carpet made by Mohawk and the carpet started breaking/wearing down within 5 months of purchasing. We followed all of their requirements for caring and maintaining the carpet and it still did this. Of course the place we bought it from went out of business so we had to deal directly with Mohawk. What a joke. They paid someone to come out and look at it and they said absolutely nothing was wrong with the carpet and it was showing normal wear. We had a cleaning company come look at it along with a carpeting store in town come look and they said it shouldn’t be doing what it’s doing. The carpet is matted down and looks disgusting. We’re fighting their denial but I’m sure they still won’t do anything about it. Save yourself time and money and go with a different manufacturer.

I purchased a product from Mohawk Flooring for carpeting. We also went to Nebraska Furniture Mart but their bid was quite high. The interaction with the sales representative at Mohawk was a scatterbrain. There was a big misunderstanding on pricing. My wife, my mother and I were in the store and we all heard him say one thing, but then he switched to a little higher price. We went back and forth and then he finally settled for the price that we thought we heard. The installation was done a month ago and it was beautiful. The carpet was installed in the large room, the living room and at the office. The guys moved the furniture around and did a great job. We had one little scratch on the bed but that was it. We like the carpet's color and the feel of walking across it. It’s very cushy and comfortable. The carpeting met our expectations.

We got carpeting from Mohawk Flooring and we chose them because of the research my husband had done on it and some of the videos that we watched on the internet with the spill-proof and how the carpet was made. We placed the flooring on the whole upstairs – three bedrooms and a hall – and we only had one slight problem, but I’m sure that the installers will take care of it. A seam opened up in the doorway. But as far as the carpet itself, we love the way it feels. It’s thick as what we thought it would be. We got a more expensive carpet and it has held up to what we expected, although I wish the carpeting was cheaper. This is a newer style carpet and it’s made of silk. We’ve never had that before, so we’re anxious to see how it wears.

Mohawk had offered a coupon and it was $100 off per $1,000, but we couldn’t get that redeemed. When spending $4,000, a couple hundred off would have been helpful. I had to talk to six different people at Mohawk to get transferred to somebody who could actually answer my question. At the end of the line, the answer was it’s up to the retailer of the carpet whether or not they will accept it. That was disappointing.

Mohawk had the best quality for the price. When it gets to $90 a square yard, that’s pretty expensive. It used to be $35 a square yard for wool carpet 40 years ago and it has done very well. For a family room, it’s all carpet and $35 was extremely high at that point in time. It was a Karastan carpet and people think it’s cheaper because they’re not smart enough to add it all up. I bought a silk strand flooring from Mohawk. I like the feel of it and it was prettier, and I was promised that it would have a good guarantee behind it. The flooring was installed in three bedrooms and a hallway. It's a very light carpet and the workers I had here had gotten a little stain of dirt on it when they were working between my kitchen floor, putting the tiles down and got paint on all kinds of stuff. There was a pretty dark dirty spot but I was able to wipe it up with just a damp rag. I’ve only had it in for a couple of weeks and it has met my expectations.

I like their color, primarily, and their texture. I was looking for gray carpeting, and they had the best gray for my home. Installation was through Manasota Flooring which was the flooring company that I bought the product from. Installation was simple. One room was totally empty and they moved a bed in one room. The two men who did it were wonderful. I have gone with this particular store before. And I always came back to the Karastan or Mohawk fabric.

However, there was a certificate that came through on the internet saying that there was a $500 coupon towards a purchase from Mohawk. And when I took this coupon to the distributor or flooring company, they said, “No, no, no, no, no.” That their prices on Mohawk fabric were already discounted enough. I called Mohawk directly and was bounced around numerous times. They said there was really nothing they could do. So, that was my only wrinkle as far as dealing with Mohawk and dealing with the flooring company itself. Nevertheless, I’m very pleased with my carpeting.

Hi Roseanne, I'm Laura from Mohawk Flooring. I'm very sorry to hear about your experience. I've asked our Consumer Affairs team for more info, and they shared that the difference in color has to do with the wood's exposure to sunlight: the areas of the floor exposed to light have changed color, and the covered areas of the floor have not. If you leave the area uncovered where the rug was, the flooring there will eventually match the color of the rest of the (exposed) flooring. However, if you would like to, you can also hire an independent inspector to come assess your flooring - if his report differs from the first inspector's report, Mohawk will review the claim again. First, I noticed that a few edges splitting off and some breaks in the grain. I was told by the retailer Avalon Flooring that they would supply 5 boxes and pay to have the defective pieces replaced. Then, before doing that I noticed it was getting worse and not in isolated places. We do not wear shoes in our house and it's only two of us. We have only lived here 10 months. So, I contacted Avalon and told them that since the problem was getting worse I didn't think just replacing the few boards would be sufficient. They contacted Mohawk and scheduled a inspector.

Well, the inspector said that my house humidity is too dry. The relative humidity in my home is 62% and the wood only registered 6%? The inspector told me it would be about 2 weeks before I would hear something but the very next day I received a letter from Mohawk that they are not responsible and are done. That's it after spending over $7000 dollars on my floors! I am confused to how my floors would become that dried out over such a short time when the humidity in my home is a perfect range? So I guess that's it? I'm stuck with very expensive floors that are falling apart after less than a year with no support from the company that gives you a warranty but doesn't honor it! The subfloor was too thin so we had a new 3/4 finish plywood subfloor installed. The Mohawk flooring was installed professionally using glue and nails. The floor dents very easily. After about a year approximately 10-15% of the pieces started exhibiting cracks along the grain deeper that the "lifelong" varnish. I contacted the installer who agreed that it didn't look right and that the surface was cracking. I checked the warranty paperwork to make sure it was not a one year warranty and was pleased that the flooring is covered by a 30 year warranty. The contractor got in touch with Mohawk who sent a third party inspector to look at the flooring.

After reporting back to Mohawk the contractor was informed that they would not stand behind the product or honor their warranty as the humidity was not correct (we have a whole house humidifier). They did not offer any solution other than saying we would have to live with it. I would advise anyone who is thinking of buying this flooring to look for other brands that might honor the printed warranty.

We bought a home last fall and installed new Allen and Roth laminate flooring throughout most of it. It was a great product that was holding up very well to our dusty country living, small inside dog, and six small grandkids. Unfortunately we had a flood in December due to frozen pipes that burst under our slab and had to remove every single bit of it.

Our insurance company suggested we use Brewer Carpet One because they had a direct billing contract with them (Mistake #1). We wanted to go back with laminate because we like the comfort of it for our joints, but were so leery because it will not stand up to a flood. We were assured that the Mohawk SolidTech luxury vinyl plank we chose was a top notch product that was tough and durable. Well, less than a week after installation we already knew what an awful product it really is. A contractor working on a different project moved his ladder on our brand new living room floor and left white scratches in several places. The same week we were trying to install our dresser mirror and my husband's tape measure fell off the dresser. The plastic part where the tape dispenses left a perfect indentation and white scratch in our floor right in front of our dresser.

A couple of weeks later our grandkids were spending the week with us and our small granddaughter moved her dining chair out from our table and it left white scratches there. When I noticed it I carefully moved the chair out and it left more white scratches. This weekend I moved a very light wooden TV tray over in our living room. More white scratches! I have never in my life seen such a horrible flooring product. We are not new to flooring. In the past 15 years we have bought and installed several different products in our past homes... Pergo, laminate from Sam's Club, Coretech, and then the Allen and Roth laminate. We have NEVER had the issues we have with this horrible Mohawk product. I had Mohawk laminate flooring installed after a water leak in my home. The edges and seams of the flooring is "bubbling up" and in many locations where the boards meet they peak up into a tent. We cannot get any action from Mowhawk customer service. Even our housekeeper comments on how he has never seen a laminate floor with these issues.

I am extremely disheartened by the flooring but more so the lack of response from Mohawk. Although Service Master and myself have contacted a Mohawk customer service representative repeatedly for well over 9 months, we have gotten action. She fails to respond or provide any direction for assistance. I believe this is a stalling tactic. The customer service representative has received all the information to assist - but yet no assistance. Product (Laminate Celebration Merbau) was purchased directly from Mohawk using Customer # **, Invoice # **, Reference Lot **. I am unsure of what to do next? File at small claims court? This has been a major waste of energy and time. I feel completely dismayed as to why a company would even bother with a product "warranty" when there is clearly no intent to stand behind the product.

We purchased a large quantity of "luxury vinyl" called SolidTech. This was the product recommended for a kitchen area and we liked the variation of the coloring. After getting it home and acclimating the flooring we began to install it. The butt ends of the flooring did not seat well and left a sharp edge sporadically that would have definitely caught your foot or sock. So we went back and complained to the store and spoke with the Mohawk representative. We went back to the sample piece and it too had sharp edges at some of the butt joints.

We were only allowed to return the unopened boxes which we understood but at $100 per box they charged us 25% restocking fee on the unopened boxes which totaled approximately $605 on top of eating the cost of the opened boxes; we thought this was excessive for a product we were completely dissatisfied with. The Mohawk representative was not helpful or negotiable and in fact never got back to us as promised. This was not the store owner/dealer that we were dissatisfied with, we continue to do business with them on a replacement floor. Mohawk sold us an inferior product and then would not stand behind their bad product.

We had on the first week of January purchased and installed a 2,550 sq. ft. of 2 x 2 porcelain tiles in a new house closed December 29th. It's a Mohawk arctic white. We also had a laminate floor before from Mohawk but it looks like a fixture and it scratched very easily. There was this one without those but you will get thousands of little scratches and I wouldn’t recommend it. So, that's why we went for the porcelain tile this time. And before that, we've had occasional purchases from Mohawk product. On average, it's a reputable company.

Overall, the quality of the flooring is very good. The matching of the sample on other Mohawk brands and other brands in Manatee are terrible. I even ordered two boxes of another brand and they came in so different, we had to cancel the order. But this one, they did come in with perfect match. There's a nice design in it but there's a printed strip. It's nice arctic white with a grayish pattern but its imperfection occasionally shows up. I'm very satisfied but not extremely satisfied because of this little imperfection and I can show somebody if they want to come by one day. It's in most of the tiles. If I won't tell, people won’t notice it. It's livable but having had Mohawk tiles before, I expected a lot more. But overall, it’s a good tile.

For the future, I would suggest that somebody come out and look at what I'm talking about, just to see it in the manufacturing process as a quality control. I'm a licensed engineer, something's gone astray. The tiles are beautiful, but when you see this somewhat cloud appearance, and then you see these little tiny dots which look like they got in for the master digital version and they got repeated and it couldn't have been in purpose. It was an imperfection that I thought was not acceptable. Someone might come out and might look because they should correct this in their orders because it can only get worse.

I recently had over 1300 square feet of Triversa flooring installed by Complete Kitchen and Bath of Lakeland, Florida. Presently I have only moved minimal furniture back on to the flooring (bed and nightstands in bedroom) and one recliner in the great room. Immediately after installation there were issues with pieces separating and some scuffs during installation. Since then it has scratched easily. My two year old grandson was riding a toy on it and it scratched it, where my 21 year old Pergo laminate floor had endured three previous grandchildren riding toys without any scratches. Also if my two cats (which I do not have declawed as they are inside/outside cats) do any quick movements and have their nails extended it leaves scratches.

I have now been told that Triversa is actually just a vinyl applied over a laminate and can't withstand such activities. We live on a farm where there is a lot of hard living and family activity. I had Pergo laminate flooring for 21+ years and never had any issues with scratching (except for sliding a dresser with an exposed piece of nail and that was my fault). The only reason I replaced the flooring was due to Hurricane Irma water damage in September 2017. I initially had intended to get ceramic tile flooring because of the water issue with laminate, but was sold on the Triversa flooring as a "waterproof flooring", but sadly it is not a livable flooring. Ironically the advertisement for Triversa flooring shows two elephants tossing water on the flooring, but they can't walk on it!!! Yes I'm angry!!!

The retailer that I purchased the flooring and installation through has offered to replace with ceramic tile at a new price with no profit for them. I understand that they are in business to make money, but I've already invested almost $12000 in flooring and now the option presented to me is to have to pay out another $9000 to have the defective flooring removed and new flooring placed, "with no profit for the company". Right now I have requested that a Mohawk representative come to my home and see the flooring before I proceed and incur additional costs. I do not recommend Mohawk Triversa laminate flooring if you intend to "live" on it.

UPDATE on 03/26/2018: Still no resolution on the Mohawk Triversa LVP flooring that was installed in my home. Claim was filed by Complete Kitchen & Bath and photos were sent. Initially was told that a 3rd party inspector would be contacting me to come inspect the flooring, never happened. Was contacted by owner, Kevin **, of Complete Kitchen & Bath and he said that Mohawk had denied the claim (I assume from photos, but assuming is not a good thing for me to do considering what the trend is with dealing with Mohawk). Kevin said he would continue to work on the issue and would contact his local sales representative. Kevin contacted me on Thursday, March 22, and said that Mohawk was telling him that someone has been trying to contact me to come and look at the flooring.

Of course I had to respond with a no as there has been no phone calls, emails, texts or letters received.

Very, very disappointed in the way this has been handled by Mohawk. In addition, the floor continues to "buck" and if we don't tip toe, keep all toys off of floor, lock the cats up -- just basically stay off the floor it continues to get scratches!! I'm waiting to bring the elephant and her calf in to splash a little water around (that's Mohawks ad) maybe Mohawk will do something then. GRRR! Yes I am one mad consumer!

We purchased a luxury vinyl tile from Mohawk. I like the white frost design. It was installed in a rental property that we had just purchased and I wish it was in my own home. It's beautiful. It looks like Carrara marble. Somebody walked into the house yesterday and looked at it and couldn’t believe it wasn’t real marble. Also one of the reasons why we purchased it is our condo is on the second floor. We have a neighbor below us and we have an HOA association that requires very strict STC and IIC and Mohawk's product measured really high in that. One of the major thresholds we had to jump with is to get a product that had good sound proofing.

I really like the threshold that came with the product because it's meeting a laminate floor that was installed prior to our purchase. And the threshold that we had over the old flooring, which was ceramic tile and the laminate flooring, was really dangerous. But this one is a nice, rounded and smooth threshold and it's the same color and material as the floor and it blends in beautifully.

We had new "Designer Delight" Mohawk carpet installed in our family room. Within weeks we started having snags or tuft pulls in the carpet. Where the tuft pulled out was a small chunk of glue, presumably where it separated from the backing. When these happened we took pictures and had the dealer come out and inspect. Our dealer sent in a carpet sample for testing for manufacturing defect. My understanding is that the test determines "tuft bind". The test indicates 15 results, ranging from 4.32 to 11.91, with an average of 6.8 lbs. Throwing out the highest and lowest values, results in an average of 6.5 lbs. The result was determined that there was no defect.

I have been unable to find anywhere on the Mohawk site what the standard tuft bind number ought to be. None of these numbers really matter, as the result is that within months of us having our new carpet installed, our carpet is covered with snags. Your marketing indicates that this carpet is ideal for high traffic areas, which our family room is not. In the interest of full disclosure, we do have a dog. This is the same dog that we had before getting this new carpet. Our old carpet was a closed loop, and we never had a single snag. I wish we had never bought this new carpet!

I came back to fix the flooring for her and she said she loved the floor very much. It's similar to other products but I had a good experience at their shop in Langhorne because their customer service treated us very good and gave me good ideas, and that was the first time I meet them. Right now, I visited the shop and I didn't see those display. Some of their product is of good quality but the floor chosen by the customer did not meet my expectations. It doesn't mean that that's very bad though.

Compared to other companies within this area, it's still a good choice to choose Mohawk. I do go to the other store to buy the same product but some would try to promote another product instead and would say that they're cheaper. But I know that that's my customer's choice. The Mohawk Langhorne shop said the information is provided online, and I went to the Mohawk website and they gave me the information. Mohawk product is really worth to promote and no others.

I like when I can get the floor tiles and the wall tiles that match. I like doing the shower floor in no bigger than a two by two tile. If you marry up a specific wall tile, a lot of times they don’t come in a floor tile if you want to do it in the same tile that's the right size. It's nice to find tile in a variety of sizes that you can use on the floor as well as the wall. I also like Mohawk tile's ease of use and the uniformity of it. A lot of times, tiles from bigger lot stores come in the sizes that can be off upwards of an eighth of an inch even though they're supposed to be all the same. It's hard to space tile that isn't very uniform all around.

It is a little colder than the vinyl that we had down here before, and it’s a little harder. I noticed that when I stood on it.

My experience with Mohawk Flooring was great. I do a ton of project with them. My frustration in working with them is that it's sold at so many different price points along the supply chain. The price point is very variable and it's a pain to go and find the products. I'd like to call 1-800 and get the products that I want to be mailed to me. Mohawk was a bit higher in terms of floor project. However, when I told them that I would go to Home Depot or Lowe's, they brought the price down. I really want the price. The first time, it took a lot of time. I actually put women on Linkedin to try to find somebody in the senior administration from Mohawk, so that I could just deal directly with them. It’s just annoying. I wish there is a way for me to access Mohawk products directly and a dedicated designer support team so that I don't have to go through all these dealers.

They offered the $500 coupon last month and that helped us to close one of the deals with one of the customers because they were looking at two different flooring products and because I was able to extend that $500 coupon to the customer, we got the order. So those kinds of promotional and incentives definitely help.

My house got hit by lightning and burned to the ground. They had to rip up the tile floors and the walls. And the only thing that was left was the exterior walls. The flooring got ruined under the windows. We had new windows put in before when they ripped out everything else. They ripped out the new windows and put in new, new windows. And that was a hassle. I had the Hickory hardwood flooring from Mohawk put down again, and lo and behold the same thing happened. I had some moisture coming through the slab. The flooring fell apart and got all moldy and crappy and I had to have six different areas ripped up. The installer should have used a marine glue on it.

From what I understand there's only one company that uses a waterproof glue in building their engineered flooring. If I had known that I would have made sure that the builder didn't do this and I would had it done subsequently. The flooring separates if it gets damp. So we used a Bostik glue which was supposed to be waterproof as long as there's no standing water on it. It was a very expensive glue at $140 for three gallons. The flooring itself is very nice looking. It seems to be serviceable enough from a surface standpoint. As far as the glue that holds on the flooring, that is bad. For the price of the flooring, it's not cheap. It retails for about a buck and a half a square foot and I ordered 400 square feet. It's Mohawk's best flooring. It's got a 50 year surface on it. But if the base won't last you a year then what's the point of having a 50 year urethane coating on it. If I had to do over with I do it again, I would put in tiles.

My dog who is 12 kept falling downstairs. I always wanted to get a runner for my stairs and I had placed one that was $2,900. It was expensive and I had to be able to get it less expensive than that. I went to Avalon and they had a stripe that was perfect because it had navy, black, and khaki in it. I was a little worried because they said the stripes can be tough to put on a runner. But they did a wonderful job and it's perfect. They picked the loop binding that matched really well. The guys worked really hard and I understand that the carpet that I picked is really thick, so it's kind of hard to bind it and put it on stairs to bend it. They were sweating putting it in but they did a great job. They've got it in for me before Thanksgiving which was key for me.

I was really happy and the price point was perfect. I came in at $890. Avalon has a good quality so it's not a discount place. What was great was I really wanted a designer look. My Mohawk runner has the quality and the durability. The design looks like it's custom. It's a very unique look. I love it, and my dog is like a puppy again. She's running up and down the stairs. One thing that was annoying was that Mohawk private-labels all of their carpet to all of their retailers so we had a little bit of a challenge to try and find the exact product that I sourced in Cincinnati down in Florida. But outside of that, the experience was fine. We had the carpet installed in two bedrooms. There’s one seam that’s bugging me in the master bedroom, but I'm giving it some time to see what happens. After 6 months of use, almost every plank has cupped at the edges. Numerous end joints will not stay locked and flat. These were hammer (and re-hammered) to lock them in, but they keep popping up. Product has almost no resistance to scratching. We have developed scratches in almost all higher traffic areas. Previous encounters with DuPont laminate flooring were far superior to this product. As soon as spring arrives I will be ripping this junk out and replacing with some other product. It does not appear to me that the Mohawk name is synonymous with quality the way it used to be.

We had a budget for flooring and we were given the option for an engineered hardwood and we chose Vershire plank luxury vinyl. We were going to pick another Mohawk brand but they were out of stock, so we picked that instead and had them installed at the kitchen, dining, living room, bathroom, hallway and basement bathroom. It's easy to clean and it seems durable but for some reason, it shows scratches when my dog runs across it and claws at it. It doesn't seem to scratch the brown wood coloring but it's almost like there's a coating on top of it. And once it scratches that, then you can see it, which is unfortunate because one of the reasons we picked it is because we have a big dog. But it’s showing scratches more than the other luxury vinyl flooring we've had in the past. Other than that, the people who installed it missed a few planks and didn’t get them completely locked in, so there's a gap here.

The laminate flooring was installed in the top floor, in the foyer and in one of the bedrooms at the back. The wide plank look and its stability are the new flooring's best features. A lot of laminate is very thin but Mohawk's has a good quality and is about 13 millimeters. There are no issue with scratches. We got two standard poodles but the flooring remained very good. I also used the Bruce laminate cleaning with a dust mop and it comes off and shines perfectly all the time.

I've used other brands before in other homes. I've used solid wood in most of my homes but this one is unique. The category is Chalet Vista, which they also called Cottage Vista. When I purchased two new carpets from Mohawk Flooring, I ordered low-pile. I had one for the living room and one for the bedroom. I chose Mohawk because I liked what I saw and I wanted it. The carpets are beautiful but initially, they delivered the high-pile. I had a very flat carpeting before and they gave me something with a little bit of depth but I was not thrilled with the height and that's not what I wanted. So they came and changed it one time. They also called me when they gave me the wrong color. They were very nice.

But the carpets are still not as flat as the one I preferred because if people walk on them, I would have to keep pulling out the vacuum cleaner. I'll be 85 years old this winter and I try to get away with a lot of work that I can do here, especially vacuuming. I have given them a sample of a flat carpeting that I still have in the house yet it's not what I've got. They changed it the second time but they still didn't give me the flatter carpeting that I wanted. They tried to accommodate me but they couldn't get it right. Still, I kept the carpets as I had enough of picking up the carpeting and putting them down. It was too much for me. They're livable and very pretty so I've gotten used to them. But now, we have a lot of wear and tear in my living and dining room. Overall, I wouldn't go back to that Mohawk store for anything.

I like it and I got a good deal on it, and that’s all that matters. The price was reasonable and it was of good quality. Also, you can't tell it's vinyl. You got to get down on your hands and knees to figure it out.

We were looking at various brands and we settled with Mohawk Flooring. We got the luxury vinyl flooring called COREtec. The quality was a little better and the cost was very comparable. Also, any spills of liquid could be cleaned up easily and we've been pleased with the product. I've had a pleasant and acceptable experience and I'd recommend Mohawk Flooring.

After purchasing a home from Lennar in June of 2015 that had Mohawk hardwood flooring installed by Advanced Flooring in Charlotte, NC the floor started to come up, have huge gaps between the planks and splinter in several areas. Through the first year the builder sent Advanced Flooring back to replace the planks with issues. After our 1 year inspection I continued to express my concern to the builder about the plank separation and issues with the floors. We can put quarters between many of the planks. The floor is not wearing well. I can see splinters and the non finished sides of the planks all over. It has been an extremely disappointing process.

The builder sent the installer to do an inspection and Mohawk sent an inspector to evaluate my floor. All initiated by the builder. The inspections occurred in July 2017 and I’ve never received a resolution from Lennar, Advanced Flooring or Mohawk. The floors are awful and I need a resolution ASAP. There are several other homeowners in my community having the same issues with these floors and are getting the same runaround. Someone needs to take responsibility!

Sorry this is so long, but it has been a VERY LONG process dealing with Mohawk (and it is still not resolved). I was deciding between different colors of Mohawk Hedon or Hedon Plus carpet for my house and so my saleswoman at Flooring America asked Mohawk to send me a sample of Winter Cloud color. The saleswoman sent me an email and told me that they would be sending me a sample but Mohawk only had a Hedon Plus sample, so they would be sending that. I was happy because that is what I thought I wanted to order. I got the sample and it did say “Hedon Plus Winter Cloud” on the back.

After taking that sample to many other places and finally determining that I DID want that color and I did want the Mohawk Hedon Plus, I ordered it. When the installers came to install it, the carpet that they had did not seem like the carpet I ordered. Correct color, different weight. I called the place that I ordered it from (Flooring America) and the woman that I worked with there assured me that it was correct and that it would "bloom" and would look like the Hedon Plus carpet in the sample within a few weeks. I thought that was odd, but she asked me to let them lay it and since I don't know anything about this “blooming”, I allowed them to lay it.

Weeks later, it hadn't bloomed yet and so I started talking to Flooring America and Mohawk. The man at Mohawk told me that sometimes they just send any carpet for the sample instead of the one that the customer is looking for, so he had sent something else, even though it clearly says Hedon Plus on the back. How was I supposed to know that they just send whatever they want? Especially because my saleswoman told me I would be getting a Hedon Plus Sample and the sample clearly says “Hedon Plus” on the back. Anyway, he stopped even replying to emails, so I asked for another contact from Mohawk and got one. She, a paralegal, does sometimes reply but sometimes I have to send the same email 3 times in order to get her to reply. And when she does, she usually doesn't answer the question.

They had an inspector come out and the inspector determined that there was no defect. I KNOW THERE WAS NO DEFECT – it is just the wrong carpet!! They agreed that the sample was not the carpet that was installed in my house and that the sample was accidentally sent, which is a different story than the Mohawk rep said. Regardless of WHY OR HOW, I ordered what I received a sample of and got something different. They said lab testing would need to be done on the sample and the carpet in my house. I have asked several times for the lab results and Mohawk has not sent them. Her answer was that lab results show it is not the same carpet. Yes, we all know that already! Seems completely deceptive. Bait and Switch? The word Fraud was thrown out? They send me one thing and the label on it says Hedon Plus and then install something of a lesser quality???

They offered me $1000 to keep the incorrect carpet. But it is not what I chose and I have spent HOURS and HOURS trying to get this resolved. Everything has been over email so that I have record of it all. I spent a whole week in the evenings moving everything out of my living room and 3 bedrooms and then moving it back in. I spent a whole Saturday with the installers (12 hours) and fed them 3 meals just to be nice to them. Took a Saturday off work to be there for the day.

I gave the example that if you go car shopping and decide on a BMW and compare the BMW to all the other cars, then when you get your new car, it is a Hyundai, you wouldn’t be happy either. And giving me $1000 back when I paid $6251 for this carpet is completely unacceptable. If they would have installed blue carpet instead, would they only be giving me $1000 to keep it? Wrong is wrong!!!! I don’t want to give up another whole week to get the correct carpet installed when it was NOT MY FAULT. I don't want to take another day off work. I can’t get Misty to even tell me what carpet was sent to me so that I can research and decide if I want to do it. I’m just at wit's end. I have a meeting set up with my attorney but was really hoping to get this resolved before getting him involved. At this point, I want the complete carpet price refunded or maybe the correct carpet put in. Mohawk needs to make this right – it is completely deceptive and ridiculous!

I had carpeting from Mohawk installed in my living room and I'm totally happy with my experience. I had a very light colored carpeting and I have an 11-year old dog who has a sensitive tummy. She got sick and the color of the food stained the carpeting. I cleaned it but I could not get the color out. So I decided to go with a blend and a darker one. She barfed on it three times and it comes right off. Also, I have white leather furniture and the stark contrast is really beautiful. When I get around to working on the bathrooms, I am going to put that carpet in. It blends pretty much nicely with pretty much anything. I would totally recommend it.

We're a showroom so we represent other companies but we always try to steer toward Mohawk when it comes to carpets. They happen to have the best product on the market and we love them. I just placed two Mohawk orders this morning and everything was good as the last.
