We got two kinds of carpet from Mohawk Flooring. We wanted carpet because we're just not set-up for anything else. Also, we're not gonna stay here forever so we wanted something that was affordable. The carpet was supposed to be good for pets. It has a little pattern that has dimples which is a little different color of carpet and then the carpet stands up. From what we were told, this particular pattern doesn't run a straight line so when it was cut, those little indents didn't line up. I like the carpet so far, but I wish I could have picked a different design.

We had Berber before and we really liked it, but we didn't like the seam that we got from them. We wanted something that would be a little bit plusher but not plush. The carpet we got was partly Berber because there was a little bit of a plush to it. We thought that they would weave together better, but they didn't. If we had to pick again, we wouldn't pick that carpet. The carpet was affordable and Mohawk Flooring is a good brand and company. We wouldn't recommend the pattern, but I liked what they offered and they had a lot of different things to choose from. I would recommend Mohawk Flooring.

I used the same retailer from my carpeting and they use Mohawk as their creditor, so that’s why I use Mohawk. It’s more about the company that I buy my carpet from than it is about Mohawk. But their carpeting is good quality. It's soft and just what we were looking for our home. The only thing that I thought was kind of odd for a return customer was the offer. When you buy the carpeting, you get 12 months interest-free. But after that, it’s something ridiculous like 24% and I know a lot of the credit cards or creditors are high. But for return customers, I would highly recommend lowering that because I didn’t use all of my credit through Mohawk for that reason. I actually did payment two different ways, but I would have done at all if the interest rate had been lower especially for return customers.

During the summer of 2015 we undertook a large renovation in our home that included complete replacement of our floors. We had lived in our home for 7 years with Mohawk engineered floors and had no problems, but we wanted a different look. After much research, we chose to use Mohawk Hardwood flooring due to perceived trust in the Mohawk brand and quality of product. We moved out of our house during the week long installation process and used a verified and

trusted installer for the floors. After a week, the floors were complete and we were extremely pleased with the finished product. Unfortunately, about a month after installation, we noticed the finish wearing off on some of the board's edges. We contacted our dealer immediately and they reported the problem to the local Mohawk rep. We were told that an inspector would be coming to our home to assess the situation.

After several months, an inspector called and scheduled an appointment (Claim # ** - Cornerstone Commercial Flooring). He completed his inspection and told us that Mohawk would be in touch. Fast forward ANOTHER couple of months and we received a letter from Mohawk on December 6, 2016 stating that the issues were caused by moisture and that Mohawk was not liable damage. We were extremely frustrated that a brand and product we trusted was not taking responsibility for n obvious manufacturer defect.

We are a couple years into our floors and the failing boards continue to flake and lose their finish. We had the same installer come to our home recently to install floors on our second floor. He immediately noticed the finish defect issue and stated that he has seen this in other homes he has installed floors in. He pointed out that there are specific floor boards failing, and the ones next to them are not… meaning that it CANNOT be a moisture issue. He would be happy to testify that this is not a moisture issue and is, in fact, a defect in the product. We have gone through all the proper channels to remedy this situation to no avail. What a disappointment that a major brand such as Mohawk has such lousy customer and warranty support. I’ve included extensive photos of the different areas below for reference.

We went through a store in Santa Barbara and they gave us different options. We went through two different flooring types because we’ve been through laminate then we found out that laminate was not waterproof all the way. We were putting it in our new bathroom and in the kitchen so we wanted it to be waterproof. Well, I needed waterproof, kids-proof, husband-proof and dog-proof.

Then they changed it to LVT from Mohawk. It's the new flooring that’s waterproof. We looked through a lot of tiles and that was the best. It has a really good design and it is perfect for us because it looks like real wood. That was a good thing because there were some that looked really fake. I wish it was a little bit less on the wood design on it. When you walk barefoot, you can feel the grates on it. It's not smooth on the skin but I love it because it's not tiling. It’s not cold. It also came with the padding underneath so we didn’t have to put padding underneath. But it feels like it would need a little bit more and I would’ve had that extra padding a little thicker. But that aside, it’s really nice.

So, that's kinda what we wanted. It's a great quality carpet and has made the room downstairs warmer. We enjoy it as a family and the kids love it. They're down there every day playing. We had engineered hardwood flooring called Arcadia installed in our living room, dining room, office, and family room. We initially looked at different brands but we liked the value and the quality of Mohawk Flooring. There are better ones out there, but you weigh up the price versus value of the house. The Arcadia is a good product for the price. When I researched it, it seemed like they put a lot of quality into it and hopefully, I will never have to use the warranty. I like the style of the flooring too. But I expected it to be a little more durable. I wasn't too happy about some heel marks in one room. Otherwise, I would recommend Mohawk Flooring.

We started looking at some of the Stainmaster products across all brands, but we liked the Silk SmartStrand from Mohawk Flooring for its value and benefits. The flooring has better texture and resistance against dust-staining compared to others. It also had a fair price. So, we purchased that carpet and the installation process was pretty straightforward. We had it installed on the second and third floor of our home. On the first day, the installers removed the existing padding and carpet, then laid out the Mohawk product so it laid flat. The next morning, they came back and installed it. Overall, we had a positive experience with Mohawk. We like the product and the customer service that came along when we got it.

It has not worn well at all and is a disappointment. We regularly vacuum the carpet and there are just two of us in our home. Since the builder installed the carpeting we do not have a receipt from a retailer. This carpeting has a 10 year warranty so we are well within our warranty period. What steps should we take to see if there is anything you can do to help us?

I purchased a carpet from Mohawk Flooring and it was installed in our master bedroom and in another bedroom. I had a designer in my remodeling who had suggested four different Mohawk carpets for those rooms. I previously had Mohawk and they were high traffic and pet-friendly. The installers showed up when they were supposed to and were efficient and very professional. I had a door that needed to be shaved on the bottom and the personnel who installed it had that ability so we could take care of that right at the same time. Also, it was a reasonable cost.

I like that the new carpet is soft and nice to walk on. We got the white color carpet but I don’t think that was a good idea. I should have done gray. It was like form over function but I did it because of the aesthetic. It’s beautiful and it looks like little squares and it’s slightly plush. I have to vacuum a little more than I had hoped, though. Still, I'm satisfied with the experience with Mohawk Flooring.

I want to caution other buyers to not purchase the engineered hardwood in espresso. We built a home 2 years ago, and the finish is peeling all over my house. An inspector came out and determined moisture as the cause, although the subfloor is completely dry and the moisture showed 1 digit off normal on a rainy day which could easily be a normal variances. Yet Mohawk denied our claim. For a company who prides itself on its warranty and consumer satisfaction, it’s very disappointing they are choosing to not stand behind their products.

If the peeling is considered normal for this type of wood, then it’s a poor product. I would recommend not buying it. I have also been in touch with the builder, so hopefully they will no longer put this product in other peoples’ homes. And Mohawk, please don’t reply with “I can get another inspection.” I’m fairly certain, based on other reviews, that even if they determine it is a manufacturing issue, you will still base your denial on the one you choose to interpret in your favor.

We got carpeting from Mohawk Flooring and we chose them because of the research my husband had done on it and some of the videos that we watched on the internet with the spill-proof and how the carpet was made. We placed the flooring on the whole upstairs – three bedrooms and a hall – and we only had one slight problem, but I’m sure that the installers will take care of it. A seam opened up in the doorway. But as far as the carpet itself, we love the way it feels. It’s thick as what we thought it would be. We got a more expensive carpet and it has held up to what we expected, although I wish the carpeting was cheaper. This is a newer style carpet and it’s made of silk. We’ve never had that before, so we’re anxious to see how it wears.

Mohawk had offered a coupon and it was $100 off per $1,000, but we couldn’t get that redeemed. When spending $4,000, a couple hundred off would have been helpful. I had to talk to six different people at Mohawk to get transferred to somebody who could actually answer my question. At the end of the line, the answer was it’s up to the retailer of the carpet whether or not they will accept it. That was disappointing.

I purchased the 2M64 Ultimate Image 756 Harmony Tan carpet for my family room and had it installed on 11/10/2017. I specifically asked for durable carpet for this room because of previous experience with carpet in high traffic areas and was told that this is the best (and I paid for it- very expensive). After only 2 months the carpet had 2 distinct wear patterns (photos uploaded). I had a professional carpet cleaning company come out and clean the carpet and still the patterns exist, so I contacted the installer which in turn contacted Mohawk. Mohawk sent an investigator to review the issue and it was determined by Mohawk that the patterns were normal wear. If this is normal wear then I will NEVER purchase Mohawk carpet AGAIN, this is horrible and of course no one from Mohawk is willing to do the right thing. I intend to spread this information to ALL media sources to ensure that people like me are not fooled by the false advertisement of this company.

Hi there, I'm Laura from Mohawk. I'm very sorry to hear about your experience with your carpet. When a claim is declined based on an inspection report and you disagree with the findings, you can hire an independent certified flooring inspector to come assess your carpet and submit a report to Mohawk, if that person has different findings. Mohawk will reopen the claim when the report is received - you or the inspector can send it to consumer@mohawkind.com. We had Karastan carpeting in three bedrooms from Mohawk. I have done four different rooms, products, all with Karastan fabric in the last couple of years, and I love them. I like their color, primarily, and their texture. I was looking for gray carpeting, and they had the best gray for my home. Installation was through Manasota Flooring which was the flooring company that I bought the product from. Installation was simple. One room was totally empty and they moved a bed in one room. The two men who did it were wonderful. I have gone with this particular store before. And I always came back to the Karastan or Mohawk fabric.

However, there was a certificate that came through on the internet saying that there was a $500 coupon towards a purchase from Mohawk. And when I took this coupon to the distributor or flooring company, they said, “No, no, no, no, no.” That their prices on Mohawk fabric were already discounted enough. I called Mohawk directly and was bounced around numerous times. They said there was really nothing they could do. So, that was my only wrinkle as far as dealing with Mohawk and dealing with the flooring company itself. Nevertheless, I’m very pleased with my carpeting.

A portion of my 3 1/2-year-old expensive Mohawk wood floor lost its color when I removed a rug. The rug had a standard bottom found on every rug in every home. I called the flooring company that installed the floor because I had a 25-year finish warranty on my floors. They reluctantly filed a claim with Mohawk. They told me nothing would be done but they would file a claim anyway. Mohawk sent an inspector who agreed the floor stain faded and sent the info along with pics to the company. Despite my 25-year warranty Mohawk would not rectify the problem. Said it was the rug's fault. So if you plan to place a rug over your wood floor, I suggest you stay away from Mohawk products.

Hi Roseanne, I'm Laura from Mohawk Flooring. I'm very sorry to hear about your experience. I've asked our Consumer Affairs team for more info, and they shared that the difference in color has to do with the wood's exposure to sunlight: the areas of the floor exposed to light have changed color, and the covered areas of the floor have not. If you leave the area uncovered where the rug was, the flooring there will eventually match the color of the rest of the (exposed) flooring. However, if you would like to, you can also hire an independent inspector to come assess your flooring - if his report differs from the first inspector's report, Mohawk will review the claim again. I apologize again for your experience. Take care-- Laura

Within 2 months, the second installation started to do the same thing. I contacted Menards who sent out an inspector. Because we had a dog who was older, he blamed her. Menards then denied our claim.

I have animals and have never had carpet that comes apart because they have had an accident on it. I'm always able to clean it with no problem. We had a Berber carpet from Shaw flooring prior to this Mohawk Carpet and I wish I would have never removed it. It was very durable and lasted through three kids and a dog. I like that it is water resilient but two dogs that are 50 lbs. each plays very roughly on it and I am a little worried about the many pieces of yarn I find lying around. It has been a month now and the yarn lying around is getting less and less but it concerns me because the carpet is now so soft to walk on. I was thinking of putting a carpet in the bedroom next year but I want to give it that year and see how it holds up to the dogs.

Also, my vacuum has a good suction and I went to use it on the carpet. I could not push it forward and my husband couldn’t either. However, you could pull it backwards. When we turned the iRobot on, it’s perfect on it plus, you can see everywhere the robot went. It’s similar to some carpeting when you vacuum it but it does not show footprints. A few minutes later after people and the dogs have walked down, you wouldn’t know it at all. So far, there hasn’t been any spills on it or anything, so I’m hoping that holds up to what they tell me it will do.

We looked at multiple brands and considered laminate versus vinyl and many other things. Vinyl, in terms of the longevity, is a better product. We also looked at the cost-point for the product and the one that we selected met our needs. I wanted something more modern that had a wider plank look and this one does. It had a variety of shades and I wanted something that wasn’t the same as on our first floor. It also had a variety of the planks so it looks more real. It was also a better quality because the rotation was enough so that the pattern wasn’t repeating itself too many times. We're really happy with it.

I am extremely disappointed with Mohawk Flooring. I was told that the product I was purchasing was a premium solid hardwood product. First, I noticed that a few edges splitting off and some breaks in the grain. I was told by the retailer Avalon Flooring that they would supply 5 boxes and pay to have the defective pieces replaced. Then, before doing that I noticed it was getting worse and not in isolated places. We do not wear shoes in our house and it's only two of us. We have only lived here 10 months. So, I contacted Avalon and told them that since the problem was getting worse I didn't think just replacing the few boards would be sufficient. They contacted Mohawk and scheduled a inspector.

Well, the inspector said that my house humidity is too dry. The relative humidity in my home is 62% and the wood only registered 6%? The inspector told me it would be about 2 weeks before I would hear something but the very next day I received a letter from Mohawk that they are not responsible and are done. That's it after spending over $7000 dollars on my floors! I am confused to how my floors would become that dried out over such a short time when the humidity in my home is a perfect range? So I guess that's it? I'm stuck with very expensive floors that are falling apart after less than a year with no support from the company that gives you a warranty but doesn't honor it! We had Mohawk wood flooring (5" wide Laminate Hardwood Floor) installed over the whole first floor of our home (4 rooms plus hallway). The subfloor was too thin so we had a new 3/4 finish plywood subfloor installed. The Mohawk flooring was installed professionally using glue and nails. The floor dents very easily. After about a year approximately 10-15% of the pieces started exhibiting cracks along the grain deeper that the "lifelong" varnish. I contacted the installer who agreed that it didn't look right and that the surface was cracking. I checked the warranty paperwork to make sure it was not a one year warranty and was pleased that the flooring is covered by a 30 year warranty. The contractor got in touch with Mohawk who sent a third party inspector to look at the flooring.

After reporting back to Mohawk the contractor was informed that they would not stand behind the product or honor their warranty as the humidity was not correct (we have a whole house humidifier). They did not offer any solution other than saying we would have to live with it. I would advise anyone who is thinking of buying this flooring to look for other brands that might honor the printed warranty.

We bought a home last fall and installed new Allen and Roth laminate flooring throughout most of it. It was a great product that was holding up very well to our dusty country living, small inside dog, and six small grandkids. Unfortunately we had a flood in December due to frozen pipes that burst under our slab and had to remove every single bit of it.

Our insurance company suggested we use Brewer Carpet One because they had a direct billing contract with them (Mistake #1). We wanted to go back with laminate because we like the comfort of it for our joints, but were so leery because it will not stand up to a flood. We were assured that the Mohawk SolidTech luxury vinyl plank we chose was a top notch product that was tough and durable. Well, less than a week after installation we already knew what an awful product it really is. A contractor working on a different project moved his ladder on our brand new living room floor and left white scratches in several places. The same week we were trying to install our dresser mirror and my husband's tape measure fell off the dresser. The plastic part where the tape dispenses left a perfect indentation and white scratch in our floor right in front of our dresser.

A couple of weeks later our grandkids were spending the week with us and our small granddaughter moved her dining chair out from our table and it left white scratches there. When I noticed it I carefully moved the chair out and it left more white scratches. This weekend I moved a very light wooden TV tray over in our living room. More white scratches! I have never in my life seen such a horrible flooring product. We are not new to flooring. In the past 15 years we have bought and installed several different products in our past homes... Pergo, laminate from Sam's Club, Coretech, and then the Allen and Roth laminate. We have NEVER had the issues we have with this horrible Mohawk product. We will NEVER deal with Brewer Carpet One in OKC again. Nor will we EVER buy another Mohawk product again!

We purchased a large quantity of "luxury vinyl" called SolidTech. This was the product recommended for a kitchen area and we liked the variation of the coloring. After getting it home and acclimating the flooring we began to install it. The butt ends of the flooring did not seat well and left a sharp edge sporadically that would have definitely caught your foot or sock. So we went back and complained to the store and spoke with the Mohawk representative. We went back to the sample piece and it too had sharp edges at some of the butt joints.

We were only allowed to return the unopened boxes which we understood but at $100 per box they charged us 25% restocking fee on the unopened boxes which totaled approximately $605 on top of eating the cost of the opened boxes; we thought this was excessive for a product we were completely dissatisfied with. The Mohawk representative was not helpful or negotiable and in fact never got back to us as promised. This was not the store owner/dealer that we were dissatisfied with, we continue to do business with them on a replacement floor. Mohawk sold us an inferior product and then would not stand behind their bad product.

We had on the first week of January purchased and installed a 2,550 sq. ft. of 2 x 2 porcelain tiles in a new house closed December 29th. It's a Mohawk arctic white. We also had a laminate floor before from Mohawk but it looks like a fixture and it scratched very easily. There was this one without those but you will get thousands of little scratches and I wouldn’t recommend it. So, that's why we went for the porcelain tile this time. And before that, we've had occasional purchases from Mohawk product. On average, it's a reputable company.

Overall, the quality of the flooring is very good. The matching of the sample on other Mohawk brands and other brands in Manatee are terrible. I even ordered two boxes of another brand and they came in so different, we had to cancel the order. But this one, they did come in with perfect match. There's a nice design in it but there's a printed strip. It's nice arctic white with a grayish pattern but its imperfection occasionally shows up. I'm very satisfied but not extremely satisfied because of this little imperfection and I can show somebody if they want to come by one day. It's in most of the tiles. If I won't tell, people won’t notice it. It's livable but having had Mohawk tiles before, I expected a lot more. But overall, it’s a good tile.

For the future, I would suggest that somebody come out and look at what I'm talking about, just to see it in the manufacturing process as a quality control. I'm a licensed engineer, something's gone astray. The tiles are beautiful, but when you see this somewhat cloud appearance, and then you see these little tiny dots which look like they got in for the master digital version and they got repeated and it couldn't have been in purpose. It was an imperfection that I thought was not acceptable. Someone might come out and might look because they should correct this in their orders because it can only get worse.

I recently had over 1300 square feet of Triversa flooring installed by Complete Kitchen and Bath of Lakeland, Florida. Presently I have only moved minimal furniture back on to the flooring (bed and nightstands in bedroom) and one recliner in the great room. Immediately after installation there were issues with pieces separating and some scuffs during installation. Since then it has scratched easily. My two year old grandson was riding a toy on it and it scratched it, where my 21 year old Pergo laminate floor had endured three previous grandchildren riding toys without any scratches. Also if my two cats (which I do not have declawed as they are inside/outside cats) do any quick movements and have their nails extended it leaves scratches.

I have now been told that Triversa is actually just a vinyl applied over a laminate and can't withstand such activities. We live on a farm where there is a lot of hard living and family activity. I had Pergo laminate flooring for 21+ years and never had any issues with scratching (except for sliding a dresser with an exposed piece of nail and that was my fault). The only reason I replaced the flooring was due to Hurricane Irma water damage in September 2017. I initially had intended to get ceramic tile flooring because of the water issue with laminate, but was sold on the Triversa flooring as a "waterproof flooring", but sadly it is not a livable flooring. Ironically the advertisement for Triversa flooring shows two elephants tossing water on the flooring, but they can't walk on it!!! Yes I'm angry!!!

The retailer that I purchased the flooring and installation through has offered to replace with ceramic tile at a new price with no profit for them. I understand that they are in business to make money, but I've already invested almost $12000 in flooring and now the option presented to me is to have to pay out another $9000 to have the defective flooring removed and new flooring placed, "with no profit for the company". Right now I have requested that a Mohawk representative come to my home and see the flooring before I proceed and incur additional costs. I do not recommend Mohawk Triversa laminate flooring if you intend to "live" on it.

UPDATE on 03/26/2018: Still no resolution on the Mohawk Triversa LVP flooring that was installed in my home. Claim was filed by Complete Kitchen & Bath and photos were sent. Initially was told that a 3rd party inspector would be contacting me to come inspect the flooring, never happened. Was contacted by owner, Kevin **, of Complete Kitchen & Bath and he said that Mohawk had denied the claim (I assume from photos, but assuming is not a good thing for me to do considering what the trend is with dealing with Mohawk). Kevin said he would continue to work on the issue and would contact his local sales representative. Kevin contacted me on Thursday, March 22, and said that Mohawk was telling him that someone has been trying to contact me to come and look at the flooring.

Of course I had to respond with a no as there has been no phone calls, emails, texts or letters received.

Very, very disappointed in the way this has been handled by Mohawk. In addition, the floor continues to "buck" and if we don't tip toe, keep all toys off of floor, lock the cats up -- just basically stay off the floor it continues to get scratches!! I'm waiting to bring the elephant and her calf in to splash a little water around (that's Mohawks ad) maybe Mohawk will do something then. GRRR! Yes I am one mad consumer!

It looks like Carrara marble. Somebody walked into the house yesterday and looked at it and couldn’t believe it wasn’t real marble. Also one of the reasons why we purchased it is our condo is on the second floor. We have a neighbor below us and we have an HOA association that requires very strict STC and IIC and Mohawk's product measured really high in that. One of the major thresholds we had to jump with is to get a product that had good sound proofing.

I really like the threshold that came with the product because it's meeting a laminate floor that was installed prior to our purchase. And the threshold that we had over the old flooring, which was ceramic tile and the laminate flooring, was really dangerous. But this one is a nice, rounded and smooth threshold and it's the same color and material as the floor and it blends in beautifully.

We had new "Designer Delight" Mohawk carpet installed in our family room. Within weeks we started having snags or tuft pulls in the carpet. Where the tuft pulled out was a small chunk of glue, presumably where it separated from the backing. When these happened we took pictures and had the dealer come out and inspect. Our dealer sent in a carpet sample for testing for manufacturing defect. My understanding is that the test determines "tuft bind". The test indicates 15 results, ranging from 4.32 to 11.91, with an average of 6.8 lbs. Throwing out the highest and lowest values, results in an average of 6.5 lbs. The result was determined that there was no defect.

I have been unable to find anywhere on the Mohawk site what the standard tuft bind number ought to be. None of these numbers really matter, as the result is that within months of us having our new carpet installed, our carpet is covered with snags. Your marketing indicates that this carpet is ideal for high traffic areas, which our family room is not. In the interest of full disclosure, we do have a dog. This is the same dog that we had before getting this new carpet. Our old carpet was a closed loop, and we never had a single snag. I wish we had never bought this new carpet!

My customer chose Mohawk Flooring and I purchased an engineering flooring and I installed it for them in their home. However, from my professional experience, I don't think this is a good product because the material compared with other engineering flooring is not a very good quality, but my customer like it. I came back to fix the flooring for her and she said she loved the floor very much. It's similar to other products but I had a good experience at their shop in Langhorne because their customer service treated us very good and gave me good ideas, and that was the first time I meet them. Right now, I visited the shop and I didn't see those display. Some of their product is of good quality but the floor chosen by the customer did not meet my expectations. It doesn't mean that that's very bad though.

Compared to other companies within this area, it's still a good choice to choose Mohawk. I do go to the other store to buy the same product but some would try to promote another product instead and would say that they're cheaper. But I know that that's my customer's choice. The Mohawk Langhorne shop said the information is provided online, and I went to the Mohawk website and they gave me the information. Mohawk product is really worth to promote and no others.

I'm a builder and I've installed Mohawk flooring and wall tiles in my home and in my clients' home. I've done bathroom and shower floors and shower walls. I'll be doing a lot of my basement, the laundry room floor, and the second floor bathroom, too. I've used a lot of Daltile before, but I liked Mohawk's specific design. I like when I can get the floor tiles and the wall tiles that match. I like doing the shower floor in no bigger than a two by two tile. If you marry up a specific wall tile, a lot of times they don’t come in a floor tile if you want to do it in the same tile that's the right size. It's nice to find tile in a variety of sizes that you can use on the floor as well as the wall. I also like Mohawk tile's ease of use and the uniformity of it. A lot of times, tiles from bigger lot stores come in the sizes that can be off upwards of an eighth of an inch even though they're supposed to be all the same. It's hard to space tile that isn't very uniform all around.

We thought maybe once the grout went in, it would pick up the color I saw in the sample, but it didn’t. It was gray. The quality of the material has been good and everything is as prescribed. We purchased quite a bit of it and we're still in the process of installing it. I'm loving the Mohawk vinyl plank I have installed in my home. I looked at all different kinds and I liked the way it looked. It seemed to have a better feel and was thicker than the others that I had chosen. In the store where I went and found it in, the cost was more expensive. But I ordered it from Dalton, Georgia, which is in wholesale or an outlet-like thing, and I got it almost $1 cheaper a square foot. The pattern of the flooring doesn't show dirt, which is nice and it helps because I have a dog that comes in and out. It's a wood look and that's what I like about it the most.

The only one thing I didn't like in the whole experience was when I went to buy the Mohawk T-molding strips and they're outrageously expensive I could not even afford it. I had to go to a whole different brand and try to match up my flooring because I was not going to pay $25 for a seven-foot strip of T-molding. The one I got didn't match perfectly but looked okay. It would have matched perfectly if I have gotten the same brand with the flooring. Other than that, I would definitely recommend Mohawk Flooring.

I believe in giving back to our local distributors and we always try to use local and support local because this is a part of the community.

We have used Mohawk hardwoods, laminate, new laminate hardwood flooring and carpets. They always have products of outstanding quality and the cost is always extremely reasonable. And whether one is designing and installing for an eight hundred thousand dollar house or a hundred thousand dollar house, the price variations are very reasonable and it’s not going to put somebody in a poor house.

My house got hit by lightning and burned to the ground. They had to rip up the tile floors and the walls. And the only thing that was left was the exterior walls. The flooring got ruined under the windows. We had new windows put in before when they ripped out everything else. They ripped out the new windows and put in new, new windows. And that was a hassle. I had the Hickory hardwood flooring from Mohawk put down again, and lo and behold the same thing happened. I had some moisture coming through the slab. The flooring fell apart and got all moldy and crappy and I had to have six different areas ripped up. The installer should have used a marine glue on it.

From what I understand there's only one company that uses a waterproof glue in building their engineered flooring. If I had known that I would have made sure that the builder didn't do this and I would had it done subsequently. The flooring separates if it gets damp. So we used a Bostik glue which was supposed to be waterproof as long as there's no standing water on it. It was a very expensive glue at $140 for three gallons. The flooring itself is very nice looking. It seems to be serviceable enough from a surface standpoint. As far as the glue that holds on the flooring, that is bad. For the price of the flooring, it's not cheap. It retails for about a buck and a half a square foot and I ordered 400 square feet. It's Mohawk's best flooring. It's got a 50 year surface on it. But if the base won't last you a year then what's the point of having a 50 year urethane coating on it. If I had to do over with I do it again, I would put in tiles.

Product has almost no resistance to scratching. We have developed scratches in almost all higher traffic areas. Previous encounters with DuPont laminate flooring were far superior to this product. I fell in love with Mohawk's Flooring. It’s a hardwood floor, but not real hardwood and it's really pretty. I had it installed in my kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom, and hallway. I've had it for two months and it cleans up really nice. It doesn’t show a bunch of doggy hair or cat hair if I miss mopping it for a week. I also like the texture of it. It’s got about 15 different colors in it and I like the look. It was really cool. I would highly recommend them.

We had a budget for flooring and we were given the option for an engineered hardwood and we chose Vershire plank luxury vinyl. We were going to pick another Mohawk brand but they were out of stock, so we picked that instead and had them installed at the kitchen, dining, living room, bathroom, hallway and basement bathroom. It's easy to clean and it seems durable but for some reason, it shows scratches when my dog runs across it and claws at it. It doesn't seem to scratch the brown wood coloring but it's almost like there's a coating on top of it. And once it scratches that, then you can see it, which is unfortunate because one of the reasons we picked it is because we have a big dog. But it’s showing scratches more than the other luxury vinyl flooring we've had in the past. Other than that, the people who installed it missed a few planks and didn’t get them completely locked in, so there's a gap here.

I purchased laminate flooring and carpeting from Mohawk Flooring. The carpeting was installed on the steps from the first floor to the second floor. There were about 20 steps and two landings. The laminate flooring was installed in the top floor, in the foyer and in one of the bedrooms at the back. The wide plank look and its stability are the new flooring's best features. A lot of laminate is very thin but Mohawk's has a good quality and is about 13 millimeters. There are no issue with scratches. We got two standard poodles but the flooring remained very good. I also used the Bruce laminate cleaning with a dust mop and it comes off and shines perfectly all the time.

I've used other brands before in other homes. I've used solid wood in most of my homes but this one is unique. The category is Chalet Vista, which they also called Cottage Vista. My neighbors in the community who chose a similar floor like ours are asking about getting the same flooring done and also the same people doing it.

I purchased a Somerset maple mist 6-inch engineered hardwood from Mohawk a year ago. The folks that we worked with, from a sales distribution perspective, were awesome. I had it put in my house and now it's going to a renovated house. It lightens our tones in it and it didn't feel like it was too light or dark of a hardwood and it would blend with anything over time as we remodeled other parts of the house. Its quality is also perfect for its price point and we're glad that we found it after going through a lot of different stuff. However, last week, I asked for a couple of additional pieces to trim it off but when we touched base today, we found out that it's on its way direct from the warehouse. WELL, 5 years later we are being denied cause they state "Carpet does not cover pet urine." UMMM what the heck is pet soil then?

This is the main reason we got the carpet as it was an issue with having small dogs. If you go on their site it still states it covers the pet stain/soil. All pets, All accidents lifetime warranty. Well they don't, they lie and it is a huge scam. Now we are stuck having to replace it with our own money. I would never buy Mohawk again. Also Lowe's does not sell this product anymore because of all the issues they have had with it.

When I purchased two new carpets from Mohawk Flooring, I ordered low-pile. I had one for the living room and one for the bedroom. I chose Mohawk because I liked what I saw and I wanted it. The carpets are beautiful but initially, they delivered the high-pile. I had a very flat carpeting before and they gave me something with a little bit of depth but I was not thrilled with the height and that's not what I wanted. So they came and changed it one time. They also called me when they gave me the wrong color. They were very nice.

But the carpets are still not as flat as the one I preferred because if people walk on them, I would have to keep pulling out the vacuum cleaner. I'll be 85 years old this winter and I try to get away with a lot of work that I can do here, especially vacuuming. I have given them a sample of a flat carpeting that I still have in the house yet it's not what I've got. They changed it the second time but they still didn't give me the flatter carpeting that I wanted. They tried to accommodate me but they couldn't get it right. Still, I kept the carpets as I had enough of picking up the carpeting and putting them down. It was too much for me. They're livable and very pretty so I've gotten used to them. But now, we have a lot of wear and tear in my living and dining room. Overall, I wouldn't go back to that Mohawk store for anything.

Sorry this is so long, but it has been a VERY LONG process dealing with Mohawk (and it is still not resolved). I was deciding between different colors of Mohawk Hedon or Hedon Plus carpet for my house and so my saleswoman at Flooring America asked Mohawk to send me a sample of Winter Cloud color. The saleswoman sent me an email and told me that they would be sending me a sample but Mohawk only had a Hedon Plus sample, so they would be sending that. I was happy because that is what I thought I wanted to order. I got the sample and it did say “Hedon Plus Winter Cloud” on the back.

After taking that sample to many other places and finally determining that I DID want that color and I did want the Mohawk Hedon Plus, I ordered it. When the installers came to install it, the carpet that they had did not seem like the carpet I ordered. Correct color, different weight. I called the place that I ordered it from (Flooring America) and the woman that I worked with there assured me that it was correct and that it would "bloom" and would look like the Hedon Plus carpet in the sample within a few weeks. I thought that was odd, but she asked me to let them lay it and since I don't know anything about this “blooming”, I allowed them to lay it.

Weeks later, it hadn't bloomed yet and so I started talking to Flooring America and Mohawk. The man at Mohawk told me that sometimes they just send any carpet for the sample instead of the one that the customer is looking for, so he had sent something else, even though it clearly says Hedon Plus on the back. How was I supposed to know that they just send whatever they want? Especially because my saleswoman told me I would be getting a Hedon Plus Sample and the sample clearly says “Hedon Plus” on the back. Anyway, he stopped even replying to emails, so I asked for another contact from Mohawk and got one. She, a paralegal, does sometimes reply but sometimes I have to send the same email 3 times in order to get her to reply. And when she does, she usually doesn't answer the question.

They had an inspector come out and the inspector determined that there was no defect. I KNOW THERE WAS NO DEFECT – it is just the wrong carpet!! They agreed that the sample was not the carpet that was installed in my house and that the sample was accidentally sent, which is a different story than the Mohawk rep said. Regardless of WHY OR HOW, I ordered what I received a sample of and got something different. They said lab testing would need to be done on the sample and the carpet in my house. I have asked several times for the lab results and Mohawk has not sent them. Her answer was that lab results show it is not the same carpet. Yes, we all know that already! Seems completely deceptive. Bait and Switch? The word Fraud was thrown out? They send me one thing and the label on it says Hedon Plus and then install something of a lesser quality???

They offered me $1000 to keep the incorrect carpet. But it is not what I chose and I have spent HOURS and HOURS trying to get this resolved. Everything has been over email so that I have record of it all. I spent a whole week in the evenings moving everything out of my living room and 3 bedrooms and then moving it back in. I spent a whole Saturday with the installers (12 hours) and fed them 3 meals just to be nice to them. Took a Saturday off work to be there for the day.

I gave the example that if you go car shopping and decide on a BMW and compare the BMW to all the other cars, then when you get your new car, it is a Hyundai, you wouldn’t be happy either. And giving me $1000 back when I paid $6251 for this carpet is completely unacceptable. If they would have installed blue carpet instead, would they only be giving me $1000 to keep it? Wrong is wrong!!!! I don’t want to give up another whole week to get the correct carpet installed when it was NOT MY FAULT. I don't want to take another day off work. I can’t get Misty to even tell me what carpet was sent to me so that I can research and decide if I want to do it. I’m just at wit's end. I have a meeting set up with my attorney but was really hoping to get this resolved before getting him involved. At this point, I want the complete carpet price refunded or maybe the correct carpet put in. Mohawk needs to make this right – it is completely deceptive and ridiculous!

It was pretty bad. As a matter of fact, the guy who was installing was having trouble putting it together and it took him about three times longer to do it because of the tiny little pieces in the boxes. It ended costing me about twice the amount to have it put down as what it normally would cost. It was very dissatisfying and I wouldn’t recommend Mohawk because of what happened to me. I had carpet installed from Mohawk Flooring for the whole house. Compared to other brands, they have a tighter weave and spills would stay on top and wouldn’t penetrate the carpet. It’s going to last more than 20 years and you won’t have any wear-patterns, whereas with the polyester blends, you’ll have where you mainly sit all the time, and it’ll have traffic patterns. This carpet won’t. It's awesome, I love it and it's beautiful. It has a two-tone grey and lighter grey. It’s a small pile carpet and it’s something you would see more in commercial properties, like in a business.

Cost-wise, it was reasonable. It would have been the same price for the polyester blend that I picked out. I had two other ones picked out, but the order fell through and I’m glad I ended up getting this instead. I have a father who has dementia and he tends to spill a lot of things and knocks over things. He spilled pop on the carpet the other day, and I didn’t get back to it until at least a minute later and it still stayed on top of the carpet and didn’t even penetrate. It was easy to wipe up. The guy said it would bubble up on the carpet but it wouldn’t go through and he was right. I’m very happy. The experience has been very good and I would recommend it.

We've been told we must hire another inspector at our own expense to report on the cause of the floor damage - and then they'd decide! More money from us and still no guarantees. We're meticulous homeowners disgusted by the investment in this floor and zero backing from Mohawk. We plan to file a lawsuit next - knowing there are others, class action may be in order.

I didn’t want all the carpet so I had the carpet ripped out and extended the wood floor this August. I called the person where they originally got the floor from and matched it up. The blending went really well and I like it but it scratches really easy. I found another scratch and I was wondering how it happened when I don't even have a dog anymore.

Purchased SmartStrand carpet for our first home that we purchased less than 2 years ago. Paid over 7 THOUSAND dollars for this 'premium, stain resistant' carpet. I can say this is hands down the most disappointing purchase we have made for our home. The seams in the carpet were VERY visible after installation. Called the installer back who apologized and said the carpet was very hard to work with and with the style (half close loop half open) and colour (beige) it was next to impossible to make the seams invisible. Ummm, what?! That information should have been given when we bought the carpet. The edges were also frayed looking. He told us to vacuum the carpet a few times and with use the seams would blend and the edges would smooth out. NOT TRUE.

This carpet looks like absolute garbage. It always looks dirty and I can't tear my eyes away from the horrible seams (which have been placed in the worst locations!). We've even had comments from friends and family about how the carpet doesn't look new and they wouldn't have paid for something that ended up looking like that. Can you imagine?!

I wish we had purchased something a fraction of the cost of this. This product is horrible, go online and read the reviews. I wish I had spent more time reading about this before purchasing. Best part?! I contacted Mohawk numerous times on Instagram and by email and they said they would get in contact with me but never did. Literally the worst customer service in the world. Bottom line? Don't do it.

We bought our carpet around 2 1/2 years ago and after a year we noticed that that carpet showed signs of wear. You can tell everywhere we walked and had our furniture as the carpet has flattened. Had the store rep come and look and he too believed the carpet had showed signs of wear. The rep for Mohawk never came to look at the carpet. I sent him pictures as did the store rep. We had the carpet professional cleaned as they told us after 18 months it should be cleaned so we did.

The store rep told us to just clean it ourselves as not to spend too much money on it. Right there was a red flag. But we did have it cleaned professional and they told us the carpet showed signs of wear in the traffic areas. Mohawk had a inspection done and found not to be worn enough for warranty. It's all bull. A carpet with a 25 year warranty to show signs of wear just after 1 year. So we are left with a carpet that has flattened out everywhere my furniture once was and walked on.

The carpet service said they would refund my money because pet stains could not be removed. Had another Professional carpet service come out and look at it and he said the wicking problem is due to pet stains.

I called Mohawk, they said the warranty was null and void if the carpet had not been cleaned within 18 months, which it had. The retailer is now telling me the carpet is not nylon which I was told it was, but instead it is polyester and that due to pet stains there is nothing I can do about the problems with the carpet, stains or untwisting. Mohawk Engineered Flooring is Peeling, Bubbling, and Worse. We selected these floors though our builder, Taylor Morrison. We saw immediate issues with scratching and the finish on the floors. We tried to work this through our builder, who had several flooring inspectors out to see the flooring. All of them said the floors showed excessive wear for new flooring and they were concerned about the finish basically flaking off - but concluded that it was installed correctly so they really had no further liability. They basically said, "Hey, you chose cheap flooring".

I assure you NOTHING about these floors was cheap, and to have embarrassing, failing floors in an $800,000 home is insane. This product is absolutely flawed, defective and shouldn't be installed ANYWHERE. We paid over $22,000 for this upgrade. We are responsible home owners who have owned hardwood and engineered flooring in the past. We don't use bad cleaners on them. We don't have water battles in here. There is NO REASON these floors should have failed in under 3 years given how careful we are.

Bought the Mohawk SmartStrand carpet because it has "pet protection". Thought this would be a smart idea to have with 3 dogs in the house. After a couple years while vacuuming we noticed the seam falling apart. The carpet backing is still together, just the carpet is coming apart at the seam. We have learned this is called delaminating. We called our retailer and they contacted the local rep. Mohawk hires a third party inspector who came out to evaluate the situation. Their inspection concluded our carpet is delaminating because there was dog urine in that area. The urine causes the glue to break down and lose adhesion to the backing. Originally was told this is outside the warranty because the dog urine caused the delaminating.

Have been waiting for months now for the Mohawk rep to review this before I start to tell the world about how the carpet does not stain and cleans well just beware it delaminates and falls off the backing if a dog has an accident on it. Their warranty does not cover excess liquids with a latex backing. BUYER BEWARE. They use latex backing and when it has excess liquids the carpet will delaminate from the backer. Good news is it shouldn't stain, just make sure if your dog has an accident on it or if you clean it, do not allow excess liquids. I do not know what excess liquids is because that is not explained in their warranty.

We now live with our carpet pulled up and fraying in the middle of our living room for all to see and trip on. Have to be careful with the vacuum as it pulls the carpet apart at the seam. I have never written a complaint before but this has me so mad that I bought a product that is to withstand pets and it can't get excess liquids on it because it will fall apart. This is quoted text from their website, "All Accidents. All Pets. All the Time.™" SEEMS A LOT DECEIVING TO ME! I WILL NEVER SAY ANYTHING GOOD ABOUT MOHAWK EVER!

Updated on 04/13/2018: SmartStrand Pet Protection: After several months Mohawk has done nothing to remedy the problem unless you count the generic response from Laura. After reading other complaints of their product, other consumers get the same response from Laura. Mohawk will not do anything, just like all the other complaints. MOHAWK DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE CONSUMER. That is sad being that it is a publicly traded company. I should not have to hire anyone. Mohawk should stand behind the warranty they have. My dad had closed his business and I had to reluctantly purchase carpet elsewhere. Installation went well and I was satisfied with color etc. However it was long that I noticed anything that touched the floor would cause a stain that I was unable to remove. After numerous attempts and hiring a professional carpet cleaner the stains returned. The carpet also shows every footstep which adds to the dreadful look of the carpet. I am the only person who uses the upstairs room, there is very little traffic other than myself.

I contacted Lowe's and was told there was nothing that can be done. I contacted Mohawk and was advised that the retailer would be responsible. I am a widow and I do not have the funds to replace the carpet. You would think after only 3 years this would not even be necessary. I am at a loss and so very disappointed in this carpet. All I am asking is that Mohawk stand behind their product. Even if it means replacing the carpet at a discounted rate. I would appreciate any assistance or consideration. Thank you for your time. I’m a flooring company owner and I present a few choices to the customer and explain which product has more options. And although it is up to the customers whichever product they choose, I try to kind of recommend the Mohawk flooring to them. It’s because of the SmartStrand and the name Forever Clean. The customers like to hear that. I also always suggest them to check the rhino cage challenge on YouTube and it helps sell a lot. So most of my customers choose Mohawk. Quality-wise, you can also tell the difference between Mohawk and a no-name carpet. It’s a good product.

I purchased 86 yards of 'high quality' Beautiful Destiny Karastan Carpet which was installed in May 2017 (4,960.59 total). The installers were incredibly professional and did a fine job, unfortunately all three rooms required seams, in 2/3 rooms the piece used to complete the floor did not match. The Flooring Company agreed to come back and re-install a new carpet that would match. This is a burden to the homeowner, moving furniture for the second time, but we did it.

In June the installers removed the old carpet and installed the new carpet, again the seamed portion of the rug did not match. Mohawk Consumer Affairs actually said that they could come into our home and spray the carpet? They also said it was only a visual issue and the carpet would still be long wearing? I have reached out to Mohawk Consumer Affairs several time only to be told via email that the flooring Company has an open case for this situation. The Flooring Company is reimbursing me for the carpet cost for 2/3 rooms - unfortunately I paid install costs for a carpet that does not match - I feel I have been put in a position 'to take what you got', not much I can do if Mohawk refuses to address this with me personally. Why should the Flooring Company bear the burden of a defective product.

My mother and father purchased a home in the Tucson, Arizona area. It had been flipped but the two bedrooms were carpeted. The main living area and office were all done in Mohawk Flooring. The carpet was a very light. We'd already had it cleaned once but they moved in on September 1st, 2016, and it was terrible already. So, we had the installers rip out everything and match the flooring. Now, the whole place is all the same flooring and we used the Mohawk to make sure it matched. They responded very quickly when I got a hold of them. They came out, measured and gave us a price right on the spot. We had it within 10 days and they were putting it in. The new flooring seems to have a nice luster to it. One of the things that I liked personally is when I walk on it, I don't hear the sound that you hear with a lot of cheaper laminate floorings.

I am the owner of several nice apartment buildings. I had this product installed last November in one of my units, just 7 months ago. The floor in the kitchen had had linoleum which had lasted for several years that was starting to look a bit worn. I decided to spend more on the luxury vinyl planking, as it is supposed to be so extremely durable, claiming to stand up to heat, water, you name it. It did look great when we first put it in. I was very pleased. However, with the summer sun shining in the kitchen sliding door, it has warped horribly. The plain old linoleum never did this.

I just got a copy of the warranty. Be forewarned: even though all the glossy brochures claim what an excellent and durable product this is, reading the warranty shows that this is not so. You will not actually be covered if any number of mundane interactions (including sunlight, dust, furniture legs, water) occurs with this flooring. Reading the literature, this flooring is described as being practically impervious. Not true. Beware. You may well be stuck with a several thousand dollar mess like I have been. I am stuck not just for the cost of this floor, but its removal and installation of new flooring, with considerable inconvenience to both myself and the poor person living in the apartment. I will not buy Mohawk products again.

If so, you can hire an inspector and have them submit their assessment to Mohawk - this will reopen the claim. The inspector just needs to be certified, either by the NICFI - http://www.nicfi.org/Search.aspx - or by the IICRC -

http://www.iicrc.info/locateapro/homepage.aspx -- On both of those sites, you can type in the zip code of the apartment building and find the nearest certified flooring inspectors. Many of them have a wide radius of service. You or the inspector can email the report to consumer@mohawkind.com -- Mohawk will reopen the claim if this inspector's assessment differs from the previous inspector's. I called & asked the general manager to come to our home & look at our carpet. It has "waves" or rolls, & has a seam that is visible-as in there are 2 inches of an area that always lays flatter than the rest. She told me that the carpet would shrink after a professional cleaning. Instead it created more waves. The cleaner (highly reputable) told me that the carpet needed to be stretched, or it was delaminating. He could see the seam as well. She said she couldn't see, & then when I got down on the floor and pointed it out to her, she tried to tell me it was due to the lighting. You can see it when the house is dark!

The carpet is Mohawk Dowry and was installed 7 years ago. We are so unhappy with this carpet!! So now after paying a fortune for it, and this latest cleaning, it looks worse than ever! The twist did not return after it was cleaned. I think that is part of the warranty for this carpet. If not what is the warranty for Mohawk Dowry run? The packet we have says it is covered.

I had to hunt for it because the place who did the original installation no longer carried it but Mohawk Flooring special ordered it for me. I chose that because it matched the laminates I had in other parts of the house. I had it installed most recently in a bathroom. But I also have it installed before in two bedrooms. It has been on a house that I rent out for about eight years. The whole house got some wear and tear from the tenants but it's held up. The new one is a little more susceptible to denting than the laminates I have but other than that it's fine. I also like its appearance. It looks like a limestone but it's not.

I purchased Whiskey Maple hardwood flooring from Mohawk through Home Depot and we are in the process of installing it ourselves. We finished one room and we're gonna do the entire house except for the bathroom. It’s fairly easy. I would piece together three rows so that the seams didn’t line up since I want them kind of alternate, and then long and short. Once I set up the three rows, I pull them away and then my boyfriend would nail them in with a nail gun. And for the most part, they were okay. There were a couple of pieces that were bent on the lateral side. He’s done professional flooring before so he would take a screwdriver and force it into the subfloor and then, press the back on the bend and then nail it in that way.

And that’s a trick but it saves the piece and once it’s nailed in, it’s okay because then, you put another flooring against it and it’ll hold that bend in place and it should relax over time. We haven’t had a problem with it, so we ended up using those few pieces that had those bends in them. A lot of people would discard them but it was a minimal amount. If we weren’t able to use them, I’d be more annoyed, but he knew the trick and we were able to save those pieces.

I looked at some other ones but the price point was way out of line with our budget. The Mohawk flooring has a lot of short pieces and I prefer having more longer pieces. If you get a large amount, you need probably two rooms’ worth before you get a good mix, because some of those boxes have a lot of short pieces and some of them have longer pieces. And if you just arbitrarily pick one or two boxes, you may end up with a lot of shorts because they’re not homogeneously mixed throughout the lot. With the higher end flooring, you get more of a consistent mix of length in each box but it is way too expensive. We paid $8 a square foot and the high-end flooring was running between $12 and $20, and we couldn’t afford to do that.

So far, I’m worried about the durability because we have a German Shepherd. And the laminates are better but we’re taking a chance on it. We’ve only had it in there since November and so far so good. But I don’t know how it’ll manage over time, as far as scratch resistance. We bought one lot for our room and it has the 3m water resistance on it. We liked it so much for that one room, and we decided to buy it for the whole house but it no longer had that 3m rating. And we had a hard time matching it up because Home Depot got a new lot of it under a new name. And it looked like a completely different product but when you look at the picture, it looks the same. So I was taking a chance on ordering it, and when it came in, it was an identical match but it did not have the 3m rating on the box like the original batch did.

One of the things I really like the most about it is, you could spill something on it and it would just bead up like wax on a car. The rest of the batch looks visually and structurally the same but I don't know if it's gonna perform that way. Also, I like that it’s hardwood. The nice thing about wood flooring is, in the future, you can sand it and get more use out of it. But it'll lose that wood hewn look when you sand it the first time, and I really like that wood hewn feel. It feels good on the feet and it looks really good in the room. Overall, it’s an excellent product and we’re very satisfied with it so far.
