On July 14, we agreed to purchase one of your spas at the Alameda Fair Grounds with the understanding that the salesman, Josh, would order it the following day. He said he’d put a rush on delivery so we would get it within 3 to 4 weeks. We signed an agreement to pay in two installments plus a down payment with last one due the day of delivery.
On July 27, I got a call from shipping to place my order. I was also forced to pay the full amount. I was told that the salesman never ordered the hot tub and the delivery date he promised was impossible to meet. He said the salesman mislead us. A month went by since buying the spa, and on August 17, I called the CEO, Bob Lauter, Customer Support and Shipping and left messages but no one answered or returned my calls. I talked to Josh and asked him what was going on? No one calls me back and I still have no delivery date. I asked him why he didn’t place our order like he promised? I told him that our payment agreement was not honored and I had to pay the full amount. I said the shipping date he gave us could never have been met because he forgot to disclose that the hot tub was a special order since Master Spa didn’t carry it.
I told him that we never would have bought the spa if we had known the truth. He didn’t respond to anything I said except that I should never have paid upfront. Then he told me that it was out of his hands. I said, "Dave in shipping did not hesitate to tell me that you mislead us." “I don’t know what’s going on over there but I will get back to you on Monday,” he said. I never heard from him again except for a text he sent the next day. “The spa is completed and will be in transit the week of August 19.”
On 8/20, I called shipping and customer service again and spoke to three people including John **, Customer Care. Each person gave me different information on the status of our order. Mr. ** was curt and uninterested in what I had to say. He said the spa is still being built. Delivery may be sometime the first part of September. This is a direct contradiction to what Josh texted me just three days prior. The inconsistencies are overwhelming. I listened as John also told me that the salesman mislead us about the entire transaction. I told him that I wanted to cancel the order. I said I was tired of getting the run around. He got angry and said, “Sorry you have a contract and all sales are final.”
Two months had past since we bought the spa and I got a call from Dave telling me that the spa was ready to ship. I said we don’t want it, please don’t ship it. I told him we contacted VISA to get our money back since no one would even consider our request to cancel. I said I’ve tried working with Master Spas to no avail and we do not want the hot tub. He responded with intimidation and threats as well. “You should drop your inquiry with VISA now.” He continued, “You have no choice but to accept the spa. That’s just the way it is.” He said that I’d better accept delivery because I would never win this dispute against his company. “They will win, he said. They always win.” He continued to bully me and said that if I didn’t accept this delivery, he couldn’t guarantee when I would get the hot tub. What reputable business treats their customers like this or allows this type of bad behavior?
Master Spas has not been helpful, courteous or apologetic. They’ve misinformed us and have treated me badly. And I was taken aback as members of their staff turned on their own people. And we still don’t have a delivery date. Every business is dependent on quality customer service and quality communication. That has not been our experience and they have failed miserably on both counts. We have a business, certainly not the size of theirs, but if we had such an unhappy customer, we wouldn't hesitate to grant their request contract or not because it would be the right thing to do.
As I said, we never would have bought the spa if we had known the truth from the beginning. And since we did not find out the truth until eighteen days after we bought it, we could not use the 72 hour rule to terminate the sale. So my question is to whom it may concern, Please accept our request to terminate the sale and refund our money. We do not want this spa.
Updated on 10/16/2018: I canceled delivery in September so there is no spa to pick up. We have yet to get any response from Master Spa on this site. Nor have they ever reached out to us. Their ads and website seem to imply that “Major Manufacturers and warehouses” are selling off inventory. You can save 40%-80% this weekend only! Unfortunately, this “Expo” is known in the hot tub industry as the Master Spa traveling circus scam. It’s put on by a hot tub store out of far away St. Louis Park, MN with quite a bad reputation. They have a crew of commission only salespeople that travel around the country and put on these “Sales”. These aggressive salespeople know that if they don’t get you to place a deposit now, they will lose out. They are packing up and leaving town after the weekend ends. It’s now or never for them.
When we saw that this spa expo only included one brand, we should have turned around and left. We have since realized this event was just a bait and switch by Master Spa. I found this information and wished I had seen it before July, please beware. Avoid Traveling Hot Tub & Swim Spa Expo Shows. Consumer Alert: What’s the scariest place to buy a hot tub or swim spa? Answer: A traveling hot tub or swim spa expo. Here’s Why: Hot tub and swim spa expos are typically advertised as “national events” and insinuate that all major manufacturers are present. However, this is far from the truth. In reality, these expo events are set up quickly and ran by high-pressure sales staff who leave town and disappear as soon as the event is over never to be seen again.

Well, I am going to start writing reviews about our experience with Master Spas. I have given them 0 stars because that is what they should be rated. We have waited and waited for help. Nothing. We have contacted them multiple times and they treat us like we are bothering them. They have our money. We purchased the 9 foot hot tub and 15 foot swim spa. We asked for the best that they have. We haven't receive the swim spa as of yet and we ordered in May. The hot tub was delivered but was not what we ordered and is leaking. It came filthy dirty and it was as if it had been in use. Do not purchase anything from them. This was the worst experience I have ever had in spending $44,000.00 dollars. Yep you got that right, we spent that much money and have leaking hot tub and no swim spa. They said they dropped it. I doubt it.
We have had terrible experience with them and they simply said, "See a lawyer. We have really good ones and we doubt that you can beat our contract." Great. I am married to a lawyer and he is working this as a case but what kind of company has that attitude. The leaking hot tub they attributed to us overfilling it. Okay the water is at the level they indicated and yet it is still leaking. We are an older couple and purchased the swim spa for therapy for my handicapped husband. He is probably going to die before he gets any use out of the swim spa. I will write much more. And in many different places. I am so sad and angry. We were fools. Buyer beware.
Hi Jean. We're so sorry to hear that you've had such a poor experience. Looking at our database, I don't see any record of previous contact about your spa. My guess would be that you were communicating with your retailer, South East Spas, and not Master Spas corporate. With that being said, I have forwarded your review along with your contact information to our corporate customer care team. They should be reaching out to you soon regarding this situation. Thank you for the honest feedback - we appreciate it.

Updated on 06/02/2019: I have reviewed Master Spas in the past and they replaced our spa. I will not change my review because we had to beg to get our Spa fixed and they did with a lot of begging. The reason they the replaced spa before is the same issue we are having again. We have now had the replaced Swim Spa now for about 8 months and about 2 months ago, we saw a crack in the acrylic. I called Master Spas and was told I had to send a picture of the crack.
We had just done our empty and refill of our spa and they said they had special software to see cracks through the water. So, we took a few pictures of the crack, through the water which they said to do, and they told me they couldn't see a crack. I mean come on. Do they really think we want to go through all of this again? They said because the water is not leaking out, then I should wait until it is time to empty the spa again. The problem with waiting is they told me the temperature outside has to be over 50 for at least 3 days for the acrylic repair to work. If I wait until we have to empty and refill, it will be cold again. I AM PISSED OFF!!! I just want them to live up to their own warranty.
Original Review: We went to the Spa expo and bought a swim spa from Master Spas. They told us it would be delivered in a week, and we would have to get it craned over our house. When the spa was delivered it was covered inside with bird poop and water. After cleaning the spa, there was a hole in the bottom of the spa. We were told, by our salesperson, the spa would be replaced with a new spa. Then we get a call from "Corporate" and they said they would only have the spa repaired. We are now in this whole thing for $1000.00. I told them to just come get it. That I would pay to have it craned out, and they can refund us for the spa. They said no. There was no returns and they would not replace it with a new spa. So, $16,500 new spa comes broken and they want us to keep it even though it is broken. Don't buy from this company.

The defective jets were promptly fixed by Premium Wholesale.
Original Review: Sept. 10, 2018
Purchased a 2018 Twilight Master Spas 8.2 and in general I would say happy with the purchase, however here are some things I found while using. The jets in the seat beside cooling seat are seized... Went to the Kitchener On. showroom and asked what would it take to fix them and the service guy said it might need to cut out the tub?? Seemed a strange way to “fix” this issue and rather not cut out a new spa making things worse… Also looked at a same spa in the showroom, and the jets were seized as well. Master Spas changed the jets in 2017 and I would say this seems to be a recurring issue.
Again I do not want to break force things to take the jets out and would rather leave with the inability to close or replace these three jets. Unhappy with the solution offered nevertheless. The second thing I noticed the water from the fountain is cold when the water fountain is turned on. The service person said this is normal as it is standing water… My concern is if this is if these will freeze in -30C…

I am very displeased with our swim spa service from South East Spas, Inc. This was a very expensive product, and it is still in warranty and less than a year old, and it has electrical issues which have stopped the spa from operating. I reported it to Master Spas and this office, and they said they would get a service technician up to fix it in about a week. It took two and when he called he had me go open the side, and try to unplug some electrical plugs, which did nothing. He finally showed up and said it was s shorted control board which he had to order. It is now two weeks later, and still no response from this vendor, so I am calling them back for an update.
For the price of this pool I would have expected much better service and support. How would they feel if I stopped paying for it until they repair it? This is no way to generate business with a national organization pushing how great their products are. Mine is 6 months old and already failing. The tech tried to tell me it was due to a thunderstorm surge, but I have a home surge protector and separate lines dedicated to this spa, so why only one side failed is beyond me. Now I only hope I get it repaired so I don't have to drain it due to the foul watercolor and smell. My experience so far is NOT GOOD!

Twilight Series Spa - Purchased 6/22/18. Delivered 6/25/18. Salesman (Don) said to call him if we had problems. He is not responding to messages left on a cell phone registered with their company. He was to tell us who could service us in this area but never did. I finally found a service number with the company. I was told that the nearest service rep is more than a three hour round trip (service call that we are responsible for according to the warranty) and it looks like hot tub repair is more of a sideline for them as they focus on bathtubs. There are four locations for service in the Shreveport Bossier LA area where we live. Why aren't any of them authorized for service? That seems unreasonable. Seems like a way to dodge warranty work.

BUYER BEWARE of the small print in the warranty. Through NO fault of our own, a control knob came off of our hot tub which is less than one year old. Come to find out in the "small print" of the warranty, the parts & labor to fix the warranted item are covered, BUT a service fee is charged TO THE CUSTOMER by a contracted technician. Spending the amount of money we did on the hot tub, I expected better customer care than this. There should be NO "out of pocket" expense to the consumer for warranty work. In hindsight, I'm not really surprised though, as when the tub was initially delivered, the cover was defective & had to be replaced & the tub was also missing several screw covers.

Master Spas had an all-out sale at the convention center here in Huntsville in February. And my wife and I went and took a look, and we really liked what we saw at the time. The Master Spas team was great! The guy showed us around all the different models and discussed the differences. We bought the LSX 800 hot tub. It has 70 jets and three different pumps. So, there was a lot of different therapy options with it.
We bought the hot tub in February, and they've delivered it in May after we had our pad for it and electrical done. I had one initial issue that I called on. The temperature was shot the very first time we got on. So, I kept trying to turn the pump. Then, the pumps would come on. So, I think it was stuck in the cool down motor and since I didn't know enough to know that, I called. And they had me do certain things and then wait till the next day and tried it again. Then, it worked. It was a learning curve.
Our hot tub was expensive but looking and comparing it to the other brands out there, it has higher quality. We went to the home decor and outdoor show at the same convention center a month later, and all the hot tubs that were there weren't even in the same ballpark as this one. They weren't as good looking and didn't have the features, so I got what I paid for. Also, one of the selling features was that it had the ozone and the mineral cartridge and stuff that reduce your need for chemicals. So, over the long run, it should be good.
Hi Charles! We're so happy that you're enjoying your spa and that you had a positive purchasing experience. Thanks for the feedback!

We wanted a hot tub and we liked the Master Spas hot tub when we saw it. Compared to other hot tubs, it seems like it’s a fair price. And the majority of the jets on one seat is why I bought it. The Master Spas team answered all of our questions and we had a good experience with them. My wife was home when the spa was set up and she told me that she didn’t have any problems with it and the team was professional. Overall, Master Spas has a good spa.

Master Spas had a show at the convention center and their reps were helpful. We walked out with a $10,000 spa. And when we've had a couple of issues with the spa in the past they've been really helpful. We had to order new parts and had a problem with it but they've been very responsive. They had good records and were able to pull up what we have. They were able to find the proper parts versus saying, "You have to find your receipt and tell me what you got." They sent the stuff out next day like they said they were going to so I'm happy with them. And I would refer them out to people. The quality of the spa has also been good. We had another spa for 18 years and it died, so we needed a new one and we've been very pleased with this spa so far. I'm pretty critical and I'm very happy with what they've done. So use them.
Thanks, Craig! We're happy to hear that.

Purchased a Twilight Master Spa 2 years ago. The spa itself seems to be a great hot tub. But it totally stopped working several weeks ago. It's still covered by a warranty. But getting someone out to fix it has become an extremely frustrating project. There's only one company locally that services their tubs covered by a warranty. And that company never answers their phone and never does a call-back. Finally did get one call-back 2 weeks ago; they set up a day to come out which has come and gone. Nobody showed up on that day, no one answered their phone again and didn't get a call-back. Now, four weeks into all this, I've called so many different people involved with the company including 3 more calls today and a sent email. Still no one from Master Spas making the effort to solve this problem and support their product. I could never recommend purchasing a Master Spa at this point; they simply don't stand behind their product.

I had looked at two or three hot tub manufacturers and I couldn’t tell a lot of difference between what I’d looked at. I went to a trade show event and I chose the Twilight Series 7.25 by Master Spas there. I bought it from a local dealer and he’s been very supportive. They brought it out and set it up. The tub is high-end and I like the number of jets it has. It had a Bluetooth audio system, a waterfall feature, and LED lights. I’m very satisfied with it so far and the cost was right in line with other high-end hot tubs. It wasn’t a lot cheaper or wasn’t more expensive. I use it mainly for hydrotherapy as I’ve got bad knees and ankles. And it’s helped with my old joints. Master Spas has a quality product, and the company and the authorized dealers stand behind their product. I'm a very satisfied customer.

Master Spas had a showroom nearby and we liked the sales people and everything seemed right. We went to one of the big weekend sales Master Spas had at the mall and looked at them all and the 7 x 7 seven-person hot tub was the size that we wanted for the number of people we had in our family. It has a couple of little waterfalls, and has lights inside the tub, mainly hairs. Master Spas was very helpful. I have a large driveway and they had to bring it down when they installed it and we took it around the side of the house, put it on the lower back porch, and they handled it extremely well. Then they showed me how to put chemicals in. I've also called the office several times and they’ve helped me with different things that I've asked about.
We’ve only had it for six months but it seems to be great. We’re getting ready to change the water for the first time. But everything has worked out extremely nice. It has been worth it so far and it's very comfortable. I have a three-year warranty so I'm happy with that. It’s been a good experience. I come home with sore arms some days and since we got the hot tub, I'm not having that muscle problem. My arms are like they were beforehand.

I purchased a hot tub from Master Spas. We had been looking around for several months and we went to a fair where a whole bunch of companies was set out at the fair ground area. We had been looking at Master Spas and it seemed it was a nice unit. Their reps were great. They took their time in explaining everything to us. We were impressed with the price too compared to what we were looking at. The people that delivered it and set it all up for us were awesome. They unloaded it and they had plenty of help there because it was a big 8 x 8. They made sure that they were able to get it off carefully without damaging it. They set it up where we wanted it and went over everything with us. We use our spa every day and so far, the quality has been great. It's so easy to keep clean and we're tickled pink with it. My wife likes the lounger and I like something that has jets on my back and the spa that we got from Master Spas just fits what we like. We saw it at the fair and it had a good price. They were very workable, so we struck a deal. The last one we had was an in-ground with a pool, and the Master Spa is 100 times better. When I had the house built, I had electrical to the outside by one of the spa and then the master electrician put the plug in. The company that delivered it had a guy came out and said that we have to provide the wiring. So I got the wiring but the guy hooked it up wrong. And it did what it was supposed to do and it dropped offline. Then they said our board was fried and we had to buy stuff.
I called the owner and he said he would get someone out here right away and we wouldn't have to wait for six weeks. He had somebody out virtually the next day and he got it up and running. My wife and I use the spa quite often. We go out there in the evening for 15 minutes and then we go and take showers. It’s quite relaxing.

I wanted to share a couple of observations regarding the Master Spas company, product, and support. As noted by many of the comments be very aware of how they install (or don't install) your new spa. Master Spas contracts with some local guys to carry the spa into your home and place it on or near the location of choice. They do not set it up or connect the electrical. The delivery guys are often very uninterested in anything other than dumping the tub in your yard and moving on. No input on startup or maintenance. Just minimal delivery.
Despite this initial experience, we were able to get the tub in place and we had another electrician hook up the power. Once up and running the Twilight Series 7 tub has been a solid product. It requires more maintenance than our prior tub and the filters need cleaning more often to keep the water clear. Given the sales guys pitch around ease of use, I would suggest you think more about ongoing maintenance as a part of the decision to buy.
In the past month, one of the diverter valves broke and it was painful getting the part from Master Spas. They did after three weeks finally deliver the part with no instruction or guidance. The customer support team was wildly average in all ways. So, in conclusion, I would not recommend buying from this company. Master Spas sells thorough events, has no stores and local staff, and ongoing support will likely get worse as the warranty period ends.

We went to buy a pool suite for our pool and Master Spas was having a sale on their 2017. My husband and I had already been talking about getting a spa because I had neck and back issues and he has back issues. We thought having a spa would help so we purchased the HL7 Healthy Living spa from Master Spas. It has 54 jets and it has the specified neck and back which is why we bought it. They offered us a good deal and told us this is specifically designed for therapeutic like what we were needing.
It also has 2 pumps on it and the ozonator which helps keep the bacteria down. We were concerned about keeping our water clean because it's up at 100-plus degrees all the time. It also has the lounge chair in it with multiple jets for the bottoms of my feet and the backs of my legs. They also gave us the cover, the holder for the cover, steps and everything else with it. Since getting the spa, we've enjoyed it and we stay in it about 30 minutes at a time. It's of great quality.

We had an old Jacuzzi for about 15 years and we got tired of fixing it. We decided to get a new hot tub and we needed something that could sit at least four people. We picked the 5-seater Master Spa at Primo Hot Tubs because of the recliner feature and the number of jets in the seats. It was also the right size for what we wanted At the time, it was on sale because there was a show special. We bought it right there and Primo came out and put it in for me.
There were three or four installers who came out and went into my backyard. I had built a 20x20 enclosed porch that I wanted to put the new tub in. The old Jacuzzi had been sitting on a slab outside. But it gets so hot down here in Texas that most of the time, it’s too hot to even use a hot tub. So, I built a 20x25 porch, enclosed it and had it air-conditioned to put the Master Spa tub in. I made a door for them to be able to get into the building but they had a devil of a time. The dimensions were correct but it was a tight squeeze. Still, we got the tub in.
Since then, we've had the tub for two years and we use it for hydrotherapy. We're old folks and it helps us get moving. The Jacuzzi product that we had before was a round tub and it was used when we got it. While it worked, the hot tub from Master Spas is lot better. It’s got a lot more jets in it. We use our Master Spas hot tub all the time. It really makes a difference when we get sore and achy to be able to sit in the tub, have a couple of drinks and relax and get a massage. It keeps us going. I got 15 years out of my Jacuzzi. I'm hoping I get that long out of my Master Spa. Overall, it was a good purchase and I recommend this company.

The people at Master Spas have been helpful with any questions I've had. But we have a temperature problem. It keeps going up to about 105 or 106, even though we just want it set at 96. I’m tired of just troubleshooting over the phone. It’s only temporary fix. I would like somebody to come out and actually show us a permanent solution. But I don’t know if anybody would be willing to do that. Because every time we call, they troubleshoot over the phone and then it doesn’t really resolve it. Also, it was a little pricey since we didn't have that many jets for what we paid.

We liked Master Spas' reviews, price and location. We got our tub because it was bigger and it fit more people in it. I like that there is one seat that had the jets that came down. The lights are also really nice and the water feature, too. The only issue was we had some electrical problems at the beginning, but they got all that worked out. Everybody in the dealership has been great. They bent over backwards trying to get everything to work and get it to us when we needed it and fix the issue. If the tub breaks in five years, I won’t be very happy.

We got the Twilight hot tub from Master Spas. It's a little two-person triangular-shaped hot tub, and it has lights and you can add music to it if you want. We saw it during a spa show in our expo center in Temple, Texas. It had a good price and the Master Spas team was friendly and helpful. I love the quality of the hot tub. I only had one problem with it and it was my fault, but they came out and fixed it and didn't charge me anything for it. They have good customer service. I used to get massages every month, but since I can incorporate the hot tub into my routine, I haven't even had a massage in the last three months. I just get in the hot tub and feel much better. It's definitely worth what I spent on it.

My wife wanted a new hot tub and Master Spas had a show at a fair ground. We went to this show where they had a bunch of hot tubs set up, and we saw one we liked. They were very nice people to deal with. However, when they came over, they dropped off the hot tub and pretty much left. They didn’t set it up enough, they didn’t make the hot tub work and they didn’t hook up the electric. I understand that they're not electricians, but they should send some kind of electrician that's certified to set these hot tubs up. For the money that they charge me, they need to deliver it to my house, fill it with water, plug it in, set it up and make sure it's 100% right and I'm 100% happy.
Also, I got more value for the money with my other hot tub than my Master Spas one. I'm having trouble keeping the water clear and I don't know if it's something I'm doing or if it's the hot tub itself. They never gave me any instructions on how to operate the tub. They gave me a box of chemicals, and when I bought the tub they told me, "With this new super filter we have in there, you don't even need to worry about that." But I still need to worry about the PH balance, and I still have an issue with the cloudiness of the water. But other than that, it seems to be okay. It's good quality, but it's a little bit overpriced. I could probably get a different brand with the same features for maybe cheaper.

There was a show in town we went to and we found a hot tub that met what we were looking for. We didn't know what we were looking for other than a particular seating and make sure it had sprays and easy to take care of. The rep at the show was very helpful, very patient and asked a lot of questions, so that he could guide us to the right one that we were looking for. We purchased the hot tub from Master Spas and I love it. It's easy maintenance and everything's working out as expected. We like to go out there in the evening and just relax a little bit, a couple of times a week, even in the winter. We've had it a couple of years now.
However, the tub is not cheap. But, considering prices, it was reasonable. A little more than what we would have liked to have paid. But comparing it to some of the research I have done on others online, and for what we were looking for, the price was comparable. Even the installation was wonderful too. They were all very good about getting it here and installed.
We're so happy to hear that you're enjoying your spa, Melissa! Thanks for the feedback!

I walked into Aqua Spas on a whim and I liked the color and the amount of jets in the Master Spas HL 7. In the spur of the moment, I decided to take the hot tub home. But I actually walked into Aqua Spas a month before and it was very quick. I also explored some other stores around town. There was a lot of timing involved, seeing what they have in stock, being patient and learning about the spas.
The people were cordial but the follow-through wasn’t the greatest on certain things. As a first time hot tub purchaser, I wasn’t sure if we needed a pad or how to really go about that, and I was looking for a little guidance, direction and recommendation from them. But they couldn’t really guide me anywhere. It was more or less like someone with a code. They said they would call me back but then they never called me back. I had to follow up a couple times and still, they never called me back. It was nothing of major importance though. Still, I would recommend them. We love the spa and we’re thankful to have it. It’s definitely good for relaxation. That’s what we really enjoy the most out of it. It’s a nice way to end the day and I try to use it every night. Everybody in the family really enjoys it and our two sons love it.

I liked the Michael Phelps spa's size and number of jets. It has a lounging seat and then the rest of the seats fit in. I also like the depth of it, the various controls, that are three separate pumps, the lighting in it and that it has a double filter. Also, it's got the plastic pan on the bottom because the wood framing doesn't sit on the concrete directly and soak up the water that's underneath. It comes in a pan. My other one is the wood framing and for whatever reason they don't use treated lumber and it's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. And this spa doesn't use treated lumber either. I can't imagine it's more expensive to use treated lumber than if you use regular lumber but I would like to have it be treated lumber.
But the other one that I had, sit on the concrete and gets water underneath it and then ultimately it would rot. This one has a pan that's underneath the entire spa so that the wood never is in contact with the ground. So thereby, I'm expecting it to last much longer. That's a real good selling point but the sales guy has never talked about that kind of stuff. If I were a sales guy, I would be like, "Yeah, I have one and it doesn't have this plastic pan on the bottom and the wood rots. So what do you want? You can get this one over here with the wood rots and this one with a pan underneath it and it's gonna be safe."
When they came to deliver it, I had two short guys show up in a truck with a trailer on it. They did a fine job for what they had to work with but just getting the thing off was a real pain. They lowered the spa on the trailer with a forklift and getting that thing off was ridiculously hard. The spa is 1200 pounds empty. I had to help. I was there pumping this thing down to its place. The cart that they had was kind of rickety and I had to go get some lumber that I happen to have here at the house and use for props and lifts. I had to use my dally, I had to use a whole bunch of my stuff to get the spa in place. It was all we could do to get the spa down there with three men. If I hadn't been here to help, the two guys weren't gonna get it there. A man cannot move 600 pounds. They needed more help. But other than that, the spa seems to run well and I've been pretty satisfied.

We've owned hot tubs for 20 plus years so we knew what things to expect and look for as far as features. We bought a Master Spas TS 7.2 from an independent dealer because of its price and number of jets. And I'm very pleased with the jet layouts and the different configuration that we were able to get that benefited both myself and my wife. She's much shorter than I am which could pose some problems with some hot tub options. I had both knees replaced in the last two years. I also have joint and shoulder issues. The hot tub helps with the day-to-day stresses, muscle soreness and joint pain. We use it almost daily and it's simple, easy and straightforward to upkeep. They even gave candies for me to chew on while I waited. The Twilight 7 had the right design and size, plus the pricing was right in what was expected. It's a basic spa with fancy lighting and a little waterfall if I want it. It's got a warranty and there are also plenty of jets in it. I've had it since February and I had one problem with it, which took a couple of trips out to get it fixed. On the left knee jet in the lounger, the hose was shorter than it needed to be and thus was impinged when they put the foam in it. Whoever the QA guy was that day should have seen that and shouldn't have allowed it to happen. Once we pulled all the foam out, it was a pain in the butt. There were a couple of reps there who were very knowledgeable about the product. Also, they were good about getting it scheduled to get out and deliver to us without any problems. We got a CLS Precision 7 and so far, we haven't had problems with it. It's got jets, lights and a fountain. It's got an internal marble-like finish and the cabinet's real nice. We purchased the Precision 7 from Master Spas. We went into the local hot tub place, Hot Tub Universe in Fall River, that was recommended by friends. We had lots of questions about hot tubs because we were interested in getting one. Neither of us has had one before, and we knew that we wanted to get something that would seat a fair number of people. Precision 7 was recommended to us by Hot Tub Universe. So, when we looked into it and thought about it, it was the one for us. It has lots of jets and it is a good size for us -- a mid-size one. The seating configuration does not include a lounger, which we did not want. Also, it has some colorful lights and it seems to be easy to take care of it for first-time hot tub buyers like us.
We love it and we are enjoying it just the two of us. We use it almost every day. We come home after the gym or after work and go for a deep in the hot tub or just a romantic deep late at night on the weekend in the hot tub. And so, it certainly enhanced the romance, the fun at parties and just overall relaxation. When we have parties, we have had lots of people in there and it is great. It was very good value. It certainly was within our budget of what we were looking for. We weren’t sure what kind of a hot tub we were going to get for our budget, but it exceeded our expectation.
We’ve had it since the beginning of November. We ran into a little bit of trouble in the early months with maintenance in terms of the chemicals, but a couple of phone calls to Hot Tub Universe and they walked us through it and that was it. It was quick and nothing major but we were able to store it out. And now the chemicals and maintenance are easy now. We have talked to friends who are thinking about hot tubs and we have recommended it.

It feels strongly made and the jets are very powerful. It's good for a massage which is what I bought it for. And it's also easy to keep clean which I was worried about. We owned a Master Spa years before, and we moved from one state to another so we left it. We needed another one and we bounced back and forth between them and a different brand, and we decided to get them again. Every time I talked to their reps, they seemed to explain what they needed to explain. I ended up purchasing one off the floor and everything went smoothly. During the installation, I opened up the screened area and it wasn’t quite high enough, so I ended up having to pick out another section and lift it up. I had the screen connected to it pushed up to one end, so the installers can get through and drop it back down. They put the tub where I wanted it and put in the handrails, and then we started putting it on one side. We knew exactly the hot tub we wanted, but we didn’t know exactly the steps we would have done. We tried it on one spot, then we moved it to other spot and we liked that spot better.
The only thing I did not like was if I have any problems, they charge a fee to come out because we're out of their area. But the tub is well-built and everything's going fine. I ended up spending more than I wanted to, but I didn’t have much choice since they're all expensive. Master Spas is a good brand overall. I would tell anybody to try them up and make sure to try out different brands as well. In some tubs, you float real easy out of the seats, and others you stay down a little bit better and even less when we do some floating.

He ran a separate line to the back of my house specifically for the spa and then he wired it.
Then I was having some trouble getting the spa going, though it wasn’t anything earth-shattering. I called the company down in Pennsylvania. I got somebody who switched me right over to a guy named Mike who talked me through that difficulty. He was very well-versed in his craft. I’m retired and I had a work-related injury that resulted in two back surgeries so I live with chronic pain day in and day out. I was spending a lot of time in the shower, three or four times a day just letting the hot water hit me. Hot water soothes me and I figured I should invest in a spa because of the warm water, especially for Winter. The Master Spas people were very professional and knowledgeable, and they told me everything I needed to know about a hot tub.
But the installation was kind of sketchy. I let them know that it was gonna be difficult for them to get it in my backyard and they brought it in sideways. They ended up scratching some of my vinyl siding, which I had just installed last year. And maybe when they turned it on its side, things broke on the inside of it. The hot tub has been leaking water since they installed it and one of the knobs that goes to the waterfall is leaking water as well. One of the panels from the hot tub wall also popped out and I tried putting it back in but it just won’t work.
I bought the hot tub that they had at the convention center where Master Spas was having a preview and I’m starting to wonder now if it was something that somebody else returned. It’s supposed to be brand new and I’ve only had it for a little over a month but all these little things have happened. The people in general have been great though, and that’s the only reason I still have the hot tub in my backyard. Otherwise, I would’ve drained it and told them to come and get their tub. But I’m gonna give them a chance to redeem themselves. I don’t wanna make any hasty decisions because it wasn’t cheap and it really does help me.
When I’m in the tub, I don’t even want to get out because it helps me feel good. It relieves a lot of the pain, tension and spasms that I have. As soon as I get out there and the cold air hits me from either the air conditioner or the breeze, I wanna run back into the hot tub. But if I’m gonna be having the headaches that I’ve been having with it lately, I don’t need more stress to my life. I’m hoping that they can take care of all these little issues and that I won’t have to have these issues for a while. I understand it’s in the gene and it’s gonna break, but it shouldn’t happen this soon. Despite that, I would tell others to go ahead and invest in a hot tub.

Some of the people there took the time to explain things. They were very good and helpful but some were not. But I was satisfied with the customer service overall. But when it was set up and put in our house, they didn’t explain anything. They just told us to put a cap of this, a cap of that, and a cap of that after so many hours, then they left. Customers have to make sure they know everything they need to know about taking care of the hot tub. Master Spas can have a teaching video that we can watch also.
I changed the water less than three weeks ago and it’s cloudy already and we’ve only been in it for a time. We got the new filter and the guy said they discontinued the other filter that we were using. They have issues keeping the water clear and this was when we were not even using the hot tub. After I purchased a Master Spa at a spa show on Sunday, I spoke with a coworker regarding my purchase the next day. She asked if I checked them out because she'd had a bad experience with them as well as her friend's mother. I got online and started reading reviews. I found it suspicious that on this website a daily review appeared. I found it odd that a positive review was posted every day. I continued to look at other reviews on different websites (like the BBB) and found some very unsettling issues. In less than 24 hours I called to cancel but had to leave a message. No one returned my call, so I called on Tuesday morning. I was told I had to talk to 'Kevin' the general manager and was on hold for almost a half an hour. Eventually, 'Kevin' got on the phone.
I clearly stated I wanted to cancel, but he continued to pressure me into taking the hot tub. I expressed how concerned I was regarding the reviews. He gave me a song and dance about how all the reviews were written by spa dealers because they were upset about Master Spas disrupting their business. When I insisted on canceling, he told me that the spas were non-refundable and that I had to pay for the spa regardless if I take delivery or not. I was concerned and had nothing to refer to since I was not given copies my financing papers. When I asked for the phone number to Synchrony Bank (whom I financed through), I was told his computer was running slow, it would take a little time. So while I was waiting for the phone number, 'Kevin' continued to badger and cajole me to take delivery of the hot tub. Eventually I gave up, googled the bank number and called them.
I discovered that I have 72 hours in which to cancel and if the charge goes through I can dispute it. My husband called back and was told 'Kevin' was working on canceling the tub. Within an hour I received a phone call from Salt Lake City (the show was in Reno) that the tub would be in Reno the next day and he could deliver it then. Of course, I told him I had canceled the order. It wasn't until later that I began to wonder why my tub was not already in Reno since we picked it out at the show. What were they trying to pull? Today is Wednesday, it is now 72 hours since I bought the tub. An hour ago a man called from Master Spas. He said his name was Kevin and he was surprised that I had canceled the tub.
I reminded him that I already spoke with him the previous day and felt threatened that I was going to have to pay for the tub even if I didn't take delivery and that I know I have the right to cancel within 72 hours, which I did numerous times. He told me, he had NEVER SPOKE TO ME and that this was the first he was hearing about us canceling our tub. He also stated how he'd have to contact the manufacturer regarding sending the tub back. Again, wasn't the tub already in Reno? We picked it out at the show and put the serial number on the paperwork. I feel they are running their company through intimidation, lies and scamming customers. BUYERS BEWARE!!!

First of all, I don't ever post reviews online because I work a lot and really don't have the time, and because I really don't like speaking negatively about people in general anyway, but after this weekend I felt compelled to come on here and tell people about my short (but really irritating) experience with a Master Spas roadshow that we went to on Saturday. First of all, I guess it's my ignorance but I had no idea that a spa roadshow was only one brand. I had envisioned this huge event with all kinds of vendors displaying their products and fighting for customers. Instead, it was a showroom full of nothing but Master Spas and a room full of hungry salesmen. The products looked nice, so we looked around.
The salesman who will remain unnamed was very helpful at first and took me around to look at the various models they had on the floor. My wife and I picked the one we liked the most and he was able to give us a lot of information about the product as far as construction and stuff went. The gentleman spent a few minutes and was able to give us a price for the tub and explained how the delivery would go and as we were going over some details, I was simultaneously looking at reviews online on various spa forums I had found. The guy went on and on, and started getting very irritated that I was looking at reviews and information to verify the things he was telling me. There are hundreds and hundreds of reviews by angry customers regarding Master Spas and their crap products, as well as the lack of service and help with warranty repairs. There are enough of those reviews to scare off anybody.
Being new to the Hot Tub search, I had no idea that Master Spas was just a traveling Circus show nor did I know they didn't even have technicians that serviced large areas. So as I was scouring for info, he was getting irritated with me because he knew I was discovering the truth to discount all of the lies he had been feeding me for the previous 30 minutes.
He ended up slamming his book closed and basically telling me that I wasn't a serious customer because I was afraid to make a deal. Then the guy insults me by claiming that it was probably the money that was scaring me (lol, because I make more money in a week than he makes in 4 months). That was it. I packed up my family and walked out of the show and after a few days of more research, boy am I glad that I avoided that Mistake. For every one good review you can find of a Garbage Master Spas, I will find 10 negative ones for you to read. Stay away from these jokers, you'll be sorry. That's my 2 cents.
Hi David. I just wanted to apologize again - we're so sorry to hear that you had such a poor experience with one of our dealers. I trust that after our email conversation that you understand that unfortunately since the dealer's show that you went to is put on by a completely separate company, we don't have much control over how potential customers are accommodated. With that being said, we are still very sorry to hear that you weren't happy with your experience. I do also want to add that Master Spas stands by our products 100% - of our 356 total reviews here on Consumer Affairs, 272 of them are 4 and 5 star reviews, leaving only 84 1, 2, and 3 star reviews - and that's something we're very proud of. Again, we're sorry you had a poor experience with one of our dealers and we appreciate your honest feedback. Thank you.

If you are about to buy a hot tub... research. I did a couple months of light research to narrow down manufacturers. Master Spas is one of the best manufactured as far as components and tub process/quality go... and manufactured in the USA, which is important to us. Once you are looking at a few specific manufacturers, figure out what you want... seats, loungers, waterfalls, lighting, audio, etc. Our goal was a truly therapeutic spa... getting older, etc.. etc, didn't need the stereo or over the top light show. There are lots of options. One key thing with your tub... make sure it has enough motors to run enough features that you may want to run simultaneously. Some tubs you have to turn off lounger to get waterfall or something else. Get the most pumps your money will buy.
Electricity - running 240 to the area your tub will sit may not be a trivial expense. And follow the manufacturers guidelines. One main problem you see in researching reviews is people skimping and not having proper or in some cases, unsafe electrical connections. The tub costs enough that it is truly an investment... treat as such.
The purchase.... we had narrowed down the tub, and figured out who the local distributor was and were about to go to their store when they actually notified us about a "Spa Show". We ended up buying at the show. Whether we got a better price or not... who knows, but the manufacturer is at the show with the distributor and gave some concessions and threw in some stuff. Everything is a negotiation, even hot tubs. We paid up front, didn't finance, though they will finance you on the spot. Therapeutic spas are not cheap (and if you want a big bath tub with weak jets... spend the money in your bathroom). Our retailer in the north Houston area, Primo Spas, has been excellent, zero complaints.
So now you bought a tub... and the electrician has run your connection. Now research your spa's startup procedures. There are videos on YouTube... online manufacturers videos and owner manuals, etc. Watch them and read the manuals. Another thing you see in these reviews is people whining about not helping with chemicals or startup. The info is out there, and you are going to have to learn how to do it. I suggest you do it before your tub gets there. It took me less than a couple days to get everything balanced by following directions.
Our delivery was uneventful, and electrician showed up on time to hook up the hot tub... filled up with water, and we were up and running. As stated only a couple days to balance the water where it maintained its balance (following directions). The tub is awesome, relaxing, sleeping better, killing off a few aches and pains is great. Figure out what you want. Don't skimp and follow directions... can probably be said about anything you buy. Either way our experience has been great.
Hi Tim! We're so happy to hear that you've had such a great experience with our company. Thank you for the feedback!

We had purchased a Master Swim Spa at the Pleasanton Ca fair expo. Feb 2018, I unfortunately have a Health issue. My central nervous system has been injured per a Surgery I had. Warm aqua therapy has been the best therapy for me. So my husband decided instead of paying for me to go to physical therapy pool and paying he would buy us a swim spa. We purchased it at fair. All went great. 2 wks went by no calls. We started calling always, "It’s snowing call back etc etc." We were told we needed to pay 1/2 to get date for delivery so we did.
We waited then we were told it’s been in their yard raining for a week we had it delivered. The crane co made a 4 foot wide 6 inch deep hole in our driveway and when pool delivered my husband was so upset that he just signed the pool thinking all was good once I got home. We opened the pool it has 5 inch of dirty water in it. Filthy pool we spent $25.000. I called on Sat. Spoke to one of the guys. I was told “Sorry but nothing we can do“.
I am very upset. Will keep writing bad reviews. We are not wealthy. This is a lot of money. The man who I spoke to said, "Get in the pool and just clean it out." I’m disabled! I can’t just go do. My husband is trying to get the entire spa put together so I’m able to do my therapy. It’s not so easy... we are at a loss for words. Pls don’t purchase from Master Swim Spa. They only cared to get the money. Once we signed it was so hard to reach them. Always told call back! Bad bad run from this company. Very discouraged. We had a few referrals. We told them not to go with them.
Hi Elizabeth. So sorry to hear about this situation, I'm forwarding your review on to our corporate customer care team. They will reach out to you and your husband shortly to see what we can do to help you. Unfortunately, since we are only the manufacturer of the swim spas, we don't have much control over the dealers communication or relations with their customers and we don't often get to hear about these situations until later, so we appreciate you letting us know about this situation. Again, someone from our team should be in contact with you soon. Thank you for the feedback.

I purchased a Master Spas Twilight Series 8.2 from Aqua Haven in OKC in November 2017. My wife and I had been looking for a replacement for a 10 year old hot tub that had developed a leak, that I could not find someone to make needed repairs. We looked at several different SPA companies and decided on the Twilight 8.2. We liked the jet's configuration and the sound system and lighting was definitely a perk.
After delivery, I was able to get electrician to make the new connections, as they were in different location than previous hot tub. Filled with water and went thru startup steps. Insufficient heat. A call to Aqua Haven and removing filters as they recommended, with no improvement. They then made a house call, (we live roughly 50 miles from them) and determined it had been modified to work lights for the fairgrounds show and not properly reconnected internally, which they fixed at no cost to me. The heater then started working.
Of the last 6 times I tried to enjoy the new hot tub, only once was I able to enjoy "hot" tub. All the other times an error message appeared indicating dry heater or a flow issue. Apparently the circulation pump is inadequate, or the filters just clogged with one spa use. I have owned 2 spas for over 10 years each, never experiencing this issue. I did have a replacement set of filters to install while cleaning overnight. Both of those spas used pump 1 on low setting for circulation. I read another user's review who also seemed to have this circulation issue. Is this a design flaw? Faulty filters? I don't understand why that other reviewer gave 5 stars with a circulation issue, but oh well. I really would like to enjoy this spa.
Hi Bill. We're sorry to hear that you're having this issue with your spa. I'm going to give your contact information and review to our corporate customer care team - they'll reach out to you soon and hopefully will have some advice on how to get your spa working properly again. Thank you for the feedback, we appreciate it.

Primo and Master Spas are terrible. I purchased my swim spa in 2016, and it arrived broke. The heater wasn't working upon arrival. It took several MONTHS to fix. Then the speakers went out. That took MONTHS to fix. There has been one issue after another with this swim spa. Worse purchase ever. Also, it is difficult to get them to come out to do the repairs... Even though you have a warranty. I had leaks in my swim spa since October that Primo and Master Spas hasn't repaired yet. I ended up filing suit in January 2018.

I gave 2 stars based on the spa is nice, I bought this spa and had it delivered early February 2018. Since then 2 jets have stopped working due to the adjustable ring failing to turn and locked into position. So with their 2-year warranty I called in a repair order. They told me who to call, once calling him I am advised that there is a $94 service charge which Master Spas doesn't pay. So my warranty reads they cover parts and labor says nothing about service charges, come to find out they only fully cover their spas for 30 days after that it is the owner's responsibility to pay the service charge. This is the first company I have ever dealt with where the consumer of a product has to pay for a service charge. This company makes a product in the USA and fails to fully cover their product for the 2 years, the parts and labor for this repair would be less than the $94 service charge. Cannot recommend them and never will...

We liked the looks of the Master Spa and the two-year warranty was nice. Looking at the filtering system and the size, we chose a tub from the Twilight Series. It's our first hot tub but we know people with hot tubs and this was by far the nicest one we've been in. The tub is great after working outside in the yard. The grandkids also come over and sit around in it. It's nice to have. I'd tell others to definitely consider buying one from Master Spas. The cost and the quality were good too. The price was what I expected to pay for something like that. We had some problems with some jets that weren't rotating but they said they had a bad bunch of jets and they sent a bunch of replacement ones. And so far, everything's been good. They had fast service too.
We're happy to hear that you've had a good experience, Bill! Thanks for the feedback.

Make Master Spas one of your number one choices as far as a purchase. After looking at all the different models and talking with the sales, I narrowed down to Healthy Living, the one we ended up getting. It was a better price than some of the other ones. They also had a good staff working with us and the quality seems great too. The positioning of the jets and the way the jets work are my favorite things about it. Now we're able to come home and relax after a long day at work, and have family time.
We're happy to hear that you're happy! Thanks Alan.

We like that Master Spas products are locally manufactured. They had a really nice selection. And one of our friends has one and we really liked theirs. They talked highly of it. The people there in the showroom that showed us the products and helped us with our selection were great, and it was just an all-around, really good experience. It wasn’t pressure sales. I’m a retiring mechanical engineer and I liked the way the salesman talked with me about the features and the maintenance and the care of the thing. That was one of my big concerns going into. It was how much effort it would take and it’s really been almost effortless.
There was a nice and big selection there in the showroom to look at from the smaller ones to the really larger ones. We were looking for more of a middle of the road type of spa. There’s some with all the bells and whistles but we didn’t really need that for how we planned on using it. Master Spas Clarity fits the bill for us. I’m retired and it’s more for just relaxation and we like the massaging action of that one. There's one massaging jet in the corner that I really like, it’s got multiple jets there. And the tub is a good fit size, too. It’s a family investment. We’ve got eight grandchildren and they’ve already taken a couple of dips. I know the kids like the lights in the evening when we’re sitting out there.
My wife’s still working, and it’s really been helpful for her. She’s on her feet a lot and she works in a nursing home as an admissions coordinator and activity person. And she comes home after a hard day at the home there and she really enjoys the warmth and the relaxation of the spa. For the two of us, it’s good “Me” time. ’ve been pleased too with the utility bills since we’ve installed it. We’ve had the heater on all winter here and they were right on as far as the amount of energy it would take in the cold months so it’s been great. The chemicals that they provided as a startup kit has lasted me all through the winter here or for about 6 months. I’m about to purchase some more but it’s been great.
It’s been a great addition to us. My wife grew up with an in-ground swimming pool so that’s one thing she kind of missed over the years and we talked about it on our property here, maybe putting one in. But at this point in our life it just didn’t make sense. But now that we’ve got one again I tease her all the time, it’s like we shed 10 years off our lives. We feel much younger with more energy.

I liked the product reputation and price of Master Spas. I bought a three-person Twilight Series spa from them and their team did a good job. The size of my spa was a good fit and the company was running a three-day weekend expo so they had special pricing available. My spa just has the basic features like the whirlpool jets, and it is digital and has got lights. There is quite a bit of fiberglass that’s being used in spas now and time will tell how my hot tub will hold up, but so far it seems to be okay. I enjoy relaxing in it almost every evening. I use it five times a week and I keep telling my wife that she needs to use it more. I've noticed, though, that I have one jet that's working, but it tends to come on and go off repeatedly. That’s unusual and I've called the dealership about it. However, they weren’t able to explain it and they didn’t want to make a service call unless the jet is actually broken, but I'd like them to check on that surging in the jet.

I wanted a spa for years and I saw Master Spas in one of those spa sales show. I felt I got a really good deal with them so we bought a Twilight Series spa. It was the most expensive one that we could have bought but we didn't want a better one because it was just for two people. If it wasn’t for the price for that model, there's no way I could really purchase another one. And I'm really glad I did because I got the hydrotherapy and that was exactly what we wanted. Their rep smelled a lot like alcohol at 11:00 in the morning. Nonetheless, he seemed knowledgeable and I had a good experience.
I really like our spa a lot. The rep said that I can keep the water in there up to a year but I normally change the water every month or so. I only use it both days in the morning on the weekends and a few times at night, and there's just two of us. I've had it for eight months now and I've changed the water 10 times already. I would definitely recommend the Twilight Series. It has helped me with sleeping a lot and I really enjoy the weekends having my coffee in there. They're well worth the money. If you want a good spa with some jets, definitely look into the Twilight Series.

I’m a hundred percent disabled veteran and I struggle with chronic pain. I'm trying to deal with it in natural ways and I did a lot of research into hot tubs. I have a good friend in Fort Wayne with some family who works for Master Spas and I like the quality and the fact that it's US-made. I met the owner of the franchise and he was a really nice guy. They sat there and listened to what I would utilize it for and we tried out a few different types. We went with the spa from The Twilight Series. The actual sales team went over everything having to do with the spa so they were really great.
We have a very tight area and their installation team went above and beyond in getting the tub in my backyard. It probably would’ve been easier to get a crane but they ended up getting it in the backyard with no damage. However, the code of a dry pump kept lighting up and I talked to them. But after buying an almost 13-thousand jacuzzi, having it for three months and having issues with it already, I would still have to pay a 150-dollar service fee for somebody to come out to look at it. I didn't agree with that and we ended up paying out of our pocket. They gave me a person that fixes spas in the area but working with them was horrible. We finally found a person through networking that worked on Masters Spas and the issue was the filters. For some reason, the filters on the Master Spa go quickly and they resolved the issue.
That aside, the tub actually exceeds my expectations. I really enjoy it. I like the fact that mine has two loungers. It's a deep seat and the jets also cover pretty much everything, my back, my shoulders and my neck so it really works out great. I literally use the tub every single day and it really helps out. There are a couple of little flaws on it but those are little things that I can live with. I would like to get it fixed but I would rather suck it up than have to deal with having to pay to have somebody come out for a product that I’ve had less than a year now.
Hi Gary. Although we're disappointed to hear that your experience with the outside service people wasn't a positive one, we're thrilled to know that you're enjoying the spa itself. Thank you for the feedback!

I bought a hydro jet spa from Master Spas. It has alloted two places for people to lie down and lay back with lots of jets from the back and legs. But delivery was like a three-day process and it was supposed to be one day. And it was like five hours late on the third day. And it was just Murphy’s Law, big time for that. And the people who scheduled deliveries made the mistake of telling me, “Well, you were scheduled today. But we bumped people in front of you." Now that was like almost the killer deal. It was just extremely bad customer service. But it got here and they got everything together. And except for delivery everything's been fine.
We've called with a lot of questions about the chemicals because we can't seem to get that right and they were always extremely helpful. And we think we finally got that figured out. It was just my husband reading incorrectly. We also absolutely adore the tub. We did it when it's 30 degrees outside and then we don't like to get out. We use it at least four times a week, if not more. It's just added a lot more relaxation and got rid of all the stress. We just go out there and sit and talk and it's wonderful. And I feel a whole lot better. We can get the same type of thing somewhere else for cheaper. But that actually at the time wasn't an issue for us. The tub is just the exact one that we wanted. We like it and we love it. The product was great. I hope we don't have to buy another one. But if we did we'd probably call them.

They came with us during a closeout special at a convention center up in Daytona. If they promised something, they need to deliver. We called customer service and they were checking into it. They see where it should have been sent and unfortunately the gentleman that recommended got sick and passed. But still we got our money's worth. We enjoy the tub. We purchased the 9' x 9' hot tub from the Michael Phelps line of Master Spas. We like the features, the amount ot jets, three pumps with two variable speeds, the jets configuration, how the seats were set up and the quality of the workmanship. We had a service guy come out and helped us with the chemicals a few days ago and it was a good visit.
But we've still got some issues that we haven't resolved. We got a software or computer controller issue. The app that controls the hot tub that you're supposed to be able to control from your phone is about worthless. I've yet to be able to actually use it in a worthwhile fashion to the point where I want a service person to come out and show us how to set it up because it's not set up. The music system was never enabled in our hot tub. So we're sitting here with the inability to actually use the speakers that are in our hot tub when we paid for that feature.
My biggest comment is Master Spas needs to evaluate Balboa Water Group and decide if that's really who they want to go with for their controller if the apps are pretty much worthless. You can even notice that on the reviews customers left in the app store on Apple and Google. It would have influenced my decision if I would have known that when I was purchasing the spa. But the spas are very good. The pumps are great. It runs quietly and efficiently. There hasn't been any problem with the mainteinance or upkeep. You just have to make sure that it's fully setup before the installation team leave, including showing, hooking up the Wi-Fi and the music systems.

I was at a special event spa show and Master Spas' reps were cordial and accommodating to the end of my schedule. We negotiated a third deal and it was good enough. I'm a sales guy too, so I'm critical about all that kind of stuff. The fact that their products were locally made in the United States was a selling feature. I work for a company that does US manufacturing as well and we need to come back and support US products at will. Master Spas also happened to be up in Indiana, so they were close to me. I got the Twilight 8.2 Model and I like it a lot. It has 42 jets and the sets of jets for massaging the foot, neck, and shoulder are my favorites. It also has a dedicated re-circulating pump, LED lights, and a lounger.
The hot tub adds relaxation at night and that's really the key. I get in it half the nights as my chance to unwind from a busy day of work. It was expensive and cost more than I planned on spending. But after talking to the sales guys and the owner of the company, I went ahead and bit the bullet. I hope that it lives up to my expectations, everything's going to work out, and it's going to last a good long time. Longevity is hard to rate in the very beginning when you have something that's brand-new. But I have faith in the system. I've only had the tub for a month and so far, it's been fantastic and I'm a happy customer. I would tell others that it's not the cheapest spa in town but with Master Spas, I got what I paid for.

We've had a spa for about 20 years and it needed to be repaired. It had a wooden cabinet which took a terrible toll from the weather here in South Florida so my lovely wife thought to go and look for a new spa. She found one at Master Spas, Inc. that she liked so we bought it. It's a six-person spa and the fellow that sold it to us was very nice and very helpful. He was very pleasant and he was not overly aggressive. He wasn't constantly trying to upsell me and he didn't badmouth the competition. Financing was also great.
However, I had some minor delivery issues. They couldn't get into my backyard to deliver the spa and we had to get a crane to lift the spa over my house. But where I live, that was not uncommon. I live very close to the beach, we don't have overly large side yard, and my yard is fenced. I went to the dealer located in West Palm Beach and I was able to resolve those issues with the customer service reps at the dealership. They have been very pleasant. It was a pain in the neck though because I had to wait for a crane and cranes are not available on instant demand.
Beyond that, my only concern was that when they finally got the spa put in, the installer hooked up all the plumbing but said that they don't do the electrical. They said that we have to call an electrician to come and hook up the six wires. It wasn't so much the cost of having the electrician come to hook it up, it was the inconvenience of having the thing sit on site and not be able to use it because I couldn't get an electrician. I wish they told us when they came to install the spa that their crew did not include a qualified electrician.
Also, the schedule that they give the customers in terms of the application of the chemicals that they provided seems to be overkill. It seems to be largely designed to use up the product at a rapid rate so that you could come back and buy more. Other than that, the product is nice and my wife loves it. She tells me how happy she is with the spa every time she uses it. All in all, we're very satisfied and I would recommend both the product and the dealer.

We didn’t have a good experience with Master Spas. We went to a wholesaler place and bought a Master Spas hot tub. When we got it home, it worked great for four weeks. After that, it didn’t work at all. We contacted the guy that we bought it from but there was no help at all. So, we tried to fax them, we tried to document everything, and they just didn’t care. They said, "You're on your own." We're in Lancaster, Ohio, so we went to a place that sells parts and they charged us full price for the parts. What happened was we bought the hot tub and it had a cloth stuck in it through the pipeline. After that, we had to get a new motor on it and this was supposed to be a brand new tub. I couldn't use the tub and I couldn’t get any help from them when I called.
My husband called Master Spas directly and said, "What's up with this? It's supposed to be a lifetime warranty." Apparently, it's not a lifetime warranty. Once they sell it to you, you have to go to these individual dealers to get the parts. So, all of that stuff was not covered. We had to pay for everything and I was unhappy. We had a Master Spa before that and we loved it. I think it was more who we bought it from. It was the worst experience, it was horrible. I've read other reviews that were very similar. I will never ever buy a Master Spa again.
I love the product, I don’t like how they treat you after you bought it. And we had to pay additional new motors whenever anyone comes out to my house to look at my spa from just a 15-minute drive. The technician charged me $87 to look at my spa. Then, he went to this little strip mall, got the part, came back and then they charged me another $150 for the part. So, everything that they said when they said, "Oh, all your parts are covered and all that," that was a total lie. Never again will we ever go down that line.
Hi Karen. We're so sorry to hear about this. As you mentioned in your review, it sounds like the issues lied more with your dealer than the product itself. Unfortunately, since we only manufacture the spas we don't get to have much of a hand in the purchasing and post-purchase experiences with our dealers. I'm assuming since you're in Lancaster, you were dealing with Rainbow Pools & Spas. We have several dealers in Ohio, including Maumee, Lima, Cincinnati, Mayfield, & Findlay. Although they aren't as conveniently located as Rainbow Pools, I'm sure they would be happy to help you. There was a symposium with a bunch of hot tubs displayed on the floor in the convention center in St. Lucie. The salesperson was what sold us to get Master Spas but when we did a research, we found out that Master Spas was one of the higher ranking spas around and that helped us in deciding as well. Their team was very professional and courteous. We bought the triangular spa for three people and I’m very pleased with it. It has the heater, the waterfall feature, the lights, and the ability to adjust all the heads. We've had it for over a year now and we use it three or four times a week. I have a surgically repaired back and it makes a difference when I get home from either fishing, golfing or some other strenuous activity. It helps my muscles to lighten up a little bit and not be so tense.

We went to a home show and Master Spas had a sale on spa hot tubs. My wife decided that Masters Spas is the one she wanted. We got the fountain feature and all the different lights. Master Spas is much better compared to our previous one, which wasn’t as deep and we like it deep. Master Spas team has been very good and courteous. And, the quality of the spa has been very good too.

The Master Spas salesman talked me into buying the Michael Phelps Legend 800 Series. He was telling me how it's the best in the market and about the filtration system which made it sound good for me. It was the elite one and they were showing me all this paperwork on it. I didn't believe it all because anybody can write down anything but everybody sounded pretty straight up about it.
I had a Sundance before and it was a lot better than this hot tub. I have it for less than a year and I've had nothing but problems with the filters. They told me that I had to change the filters so I've changed every two and a half months. They completely lied to me about that because the guy told me that one filter would last about nine months. So far, I've went through four sets of filters on this hot tub which cost me $160 a pump. So, I had to pay $640 in filters. Then I come to find out that it was the pump that went bad. But I still got stuck with four sets of filters and the cartridge. Compared to that, the filter on my Sundance lasted me for almost two years because it was a giant filter. I paid $100, sprayed it off, then put it back in. I had my Sundance for nine years and although its pump went out in the first six months, they put a new one in and I've never had another problem with it.
Master Spas' reps also told me that they're going to come fix the hot tub anytime there's a problem. They said I just had to call and they'd be there. But when I did call, I had to wait until Monday before they could come fix it. Then, every time I call and tell them it's saying it's dry locked, they never came to show me how to work the thing. The people who sold it to me also said that for the first year, I don’t have to worry about anything because they'd come up and fix it for free. But when they came out, they hit me with an $80 travel charge and no one told me about that. Even in the beginning, they told me they'd have my spa in two to three weeks. When it came to three weeks, I called them and the salesman of Master Spas wouldn't even talk to me. Then, my hot tub came nine weeks later.
Now, I've got $10,000 in this thing and the top is sagging and it's got water sitting on it. With my Sundance, I went through two tops in nine years and the only reason I had to get a new top was because I had one kid who stood on it and broke it. So I'm considering getting a lawyer and suing Master Spas because I have exactly the opposite of what everybody promised me. I've been feeling really bummed out and I'm very dissatisfied with my experience.

My wife and I went to a spa sale at the Expo expecting from all the hype that we would see several manufacturers and be able to compare products. Instead Master Spas had the entire space to themselves. Not what we expected but, "Oh well let's take a look anyway." We checked out their products and decided on the 7' Twilight Model. The delivery was prompt and the guys did a good job getting it to the specified location. A week later our electrician wired her up and we were good to go... or so we thought.
2 weeks later the control panel went out... WTH. I called Master Spas and they directed me to a local spa store that does their service work. I called in the issue and spoke with the very nice folks at ** spa store and they put in an order for the new control panel. It's now 3 weeks later and Master Spas have yet to send them the panel. On top of that one side of the exterior panels was cut short and pops out of the corner pieces constantly and now both corner pieces are broken due to continuously having to try to get the panel to stay. If there were a zero star rating that's what I would give Master Spas... Junk!
Hi Peter. I'm so sorry you haven't had a good experience so far. I'm going to forward your review to our customer care department to make sure that your panels are getting sent out. Thank you for the honest feedback - we appreciate it.

I got it from the dealer that I bought the Hot Springs from 25 years ago. I didn't really know anything about Master Spas until I went in the store and I went in the store because of them taking care of me in the past. I was satisfied with my experience. My hot tub has the continuous circulating pump, the lighting, and 50 jets. I love everything about it.

I had a previous hot tub. It was getting old and I needed to replace it. The Master Spas tub has a lot of jets and mostly standard things that come with hot tubs. The new tub is slightly better than the old one I had but the dealer was equal to or better than the one that I had from my first buy. The reps from Master Spas seemed to do a better job than their competition. Also, the quality of the tub from Master Spas is excellent and I'm happy with it. I enjoy having a hot tub and use it very frequently, probably five days out of seven in a week. It feels really good and it has become a standard part of our lives. It makes the muscles relax. My wife and I are elderly people and so it helps with all of those old age ailments. I would tell a friend to try it.

I liked the features and price of Master Spas' Twilight Series 7.2. I shopped and looked at Caldera and some other ones. But it was the best value with the most options on it for the price. Also, the sales people there at the expo where I bought it were great. I love my hot tub and I wouldn't change a thing about it. I'd tell others to buy it as well. However, whenever I went to research Master Spas, there was not much information about them. It made me a little skeptical with the buying decision because I could research Caldera, Hot Springs and all these other ones and there were a lot of information about them. Master Spas should make more information available because people should know they have a great product.

I work out a lot, so when I leave the gym, I go home and get in my hot tub. The team at Master Spas was lovely. They answered all my questions and talked a little bit about what the tub does. They were respectful and told me everything I needed to know. I would tell people that Master Spas has wonderful products and it is a wonderful company.

I've had Master Spas before and the last spa that I had was awesome. It was trouble-free for about forever and had fewer parts that I replaced. I like the quality of the construction of the Master Spas products. I purchased a Michael Phelps spa. And I got a nice, deluxe model that has the whole nine yards. Therapy wise, I picked it because of the power of the jets and as far as looking for function more than fashion but it had plenty of accessories and options, too. Also, I was looking for something with reclining position.
Master Spas' customer support has been great. And I spoke with my sales manager and I had told him that I've had issues with the tub. I wish that I never bought it. It has a nice high quality, does what I need, and it's comfortable when I get in there, but the design features are way not what I expected. They're terrible. Getting in and out is really difficult for my parents so they could not use it. Also, I'm having trouble with the fancy features like those little reflective light up drink coasters. If someone with a drink is already in there, you can't get in without someone having to move some of that stuff. And then, the diverter is on the other side of the tub, that even if you're in the reclining position, you have to get up and out and slide over to go into the back of the tub where your legs would be, to turn it, and it's annoying. It's not easy and I wish the diverter is in another location where I could get to it without having to fight to get there.
I'm in the payments for this thing for a long time and I'm going to despise it for that long. I still use it but I'm not happy at all and I wish it was never in my backyard. I held on it for a while thinking it's still relatively new and I'll get over it. But then, I had some friends who came for a few days and I waited until they had their opinion because they also were multiple spa owners. And they made some comments on some of the weird features. So, originally it looked like a good idea but their design is not.

My husband and I have both grown up with spas hot tubs. We have an eight-person spa from Master Spas. We were at a trade show two hours from home, by Lambeau Field in Green Bay, looking for something that would be a little bit bigger, and they had a sale on an older model wherein the pricing and the comfort of it were good. We have also heard of Master Spas and so that was how we just went with them.
The team was good and they were not pushy. They were able to answer our questions. There was one that was a little bit more with bells and whistles, but after asking what we were going to use it for, they recommended one that actually was cheaper for us. The quality is good. The only issue we've had is that when they delivered our hot tub, the cover had a rip in it. So, it took my husband calling probably every week and a half for over three months before they brought us another one. So, the quality of the service has not been good with them. Still, we use it five days a week and it definitely is relaxing and therapeutic for us, so we like it. Just stay away from getting it through a dealer in the Appleton, Wisconsin area because of the difficulties we had with the service in replacing the cover.

We were building a backyard and we wanted to buy a hot tub to spruce it up and give us something different to do. We got a five-seater one from Master Spas and it has two little fountains, a waterfall, and an LED light. We liked the store we bought it from and that we could have one of the silent motors put in the tub, so it doesn't make any noise. The quality is super nice compared to most of the tubs I saw in there, especially cosmetically. It looks really pretty sitting there. We never owned one before so we didn't have a lot to go on and we were reliant on the people at the store to help us out. They were super and they did free water testing for us. My wife's a stickler and she must've called them every day for two weeks to make sure she was doing everything right, and they answered her every question.
We took out the filters, rotated them and cleaned them. We used the bio-organic soap but we didn't let the filter dry out enough and we put it in too quick so it made a sudsy bubbly reaction in the water. They corrected us on that but they also said it's perfectly fine and that we can either clean up the whole tub and empty it all and put fresh water in it, or let it run its course because it'll dissolve, which it did. So, I didn't worry about it and now, when we do our filters and take them out and in ourselves, we make sure we clean them a little differently and then let them completely dry out so it doesn't do that, and it works fine since. It was another thing that they really helped us with.
We even have one of the little pieces that broke on us and we had a warranty and they had no problem getting the piece for us so it was perfect. They have been great. The quality of the tub is great, too, and I'm in it every day. I get in it in the morning to wake up and then after I get off work, I'll jump in it again for one or two sessions.

Our 12 year-old spa burned up so we needed a replacement. Master Spas had an event going on where they were showing their products in a special place and the one we liked had a pretty good price so we thought we'd give it a try. Their reps were professional and showed us the good and the bad of each of the varieties and sizes that they had.
We bought a two-person spa and it's good. We didn't realize that if we fill it up and we're sitting on it, it's a little tighter than what we thought it was going to be. Also, compared to our old spa, we have to put a lot of more chlorine on this one but it seemed like we don't have to put more different types of chemicals in it order to keep it up like we used to in our old spa. The Master spa is a little harder to get out of, too, because of the way we got it set up. We're trying to get out of the slide of it instead of one of the ends where the controls are. Plus, there are very few flat places to put our feet whenever we get out of the thing so it's difficult. Other than that, so far, everything's going well and I'd tell others to take a good look at Master Spas. Each spa's got its own features and they personalize their own thing. There was a show at a convention center and they had a couple of different brands but Master Spas was the one that got stuck in my mind. Their team was very knowledgeable about their products and they knew that the product would speak for itself. Also, they weren't very high pressure and they shared as much information as they could without me probing. When I did probe with some additional questions, they had the answers. If they didn't have it then they went back and looked stuff up. I did some comparisons after I visited the show and decided to go with them. I had been looking at a smaller version and I had given them the dimensions of where I would place the spa in my patio. They were able to upsell me to a little bit larger spa which I'm happy I ended up going with. They were familiar with the space that the spa could fit into and it worked out perfectly.
I bought The Twilight Series because of its features and the Master Spas name behind it. It's a good value for the money and has a very good warranty. But it was kind of disappointing that when I had the spa delivered, they needed to get it out of their inventory and I hadn't gotten the electrical hooked up yet so that they could do their setup. I'm clear in the North West and they're clear in the South East so because of their location in the valley, they wouldn't make a separate trip up to do the setup.
So initially, the filters were shutting off the unit at certain times. The sensors said that the filters were blocked even though the filters were brand new. Then I found out that my spa needed to be refilled through the filters. But that wasn't easily found in their manual. I was able to resolve some of those issues through text and phone calls with the person that sold it to me so I'm happier now. But that should have been on a quick setup reference card if they were not going to be there to set it up for me so that calling and texting them multiple times when I was having the filter error issues could have been prevented. Other than that, I use the spa every other night and it makes me feel good after a long hike or after a day on the golf course. I would recommend Master Spas to anyone that was looking to purchase a spa if it fits in their budget.

I live in Saint Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands and we were visiting our kids in Texas. I was bored and tired of staying around their house so I went to the spa show. Master Spas was the only one there and I ended up buying the TS 8.2. It's big, can accommodate eight people, and it's the number one rated spa at Consumer Reports. I'm 68 years old so my back hurts a lot and the spa helps. However, I did not do enough research about it. The spa's price started at $17,000 then it came down to $9,000. So I thought the spa's price was good. But I have friends that also bought a Hot Spring spa and they said that they bought it for a lot less than what I paid.
Other than that, I'm really happy with Master Spas so far. Their customer service has been very good. There are no Master Spas dealers here and they shipped my spa to Miami, Florida, then they had a freight forwarder bring it from Miami to Saint Croix. Their reps have been very professional and answered all my questions from the factory. But they need to know that the TS 8.2 will fit in a high-top container to be shipped wherever their clients want to ship it to. It was the big unknown for me at the time because it was a matter of an inch or two of fitting and if it didn't, it was going to cost me $3,500 instead of $1,000 to ship it. The people I bought the spa from have been very good, too, but I usually went back directly to Master Spas since they were always there. I've always had somebody answer me when I called them directly, instead of having to leave a message and waiting for a callback.

I purchased a tub exactly 4 weeks ago on a Saturday. I was told it would be delivered in a few days. On Wednesday I was told it would be delivered Friday afternoon, so I made plans to be available. Eventually I was told it would be delivered Friday night. At 9 pm Friday night I was told it would be Saturday at 7 pm, so I changed my weekend plans. On Saturday evening I was told it would be around 5-7pm Sunday, so I made sure I'd be available Sunday night. I was called Sunday evening and told it would be Monday morning. It finally arrived Monday morning without a cover... Which is ironic considering in the tub in large red letters it says to keep the tub covered or it will VOID THE WARRANTY. I was told by the delivery guys that the cover would arrive in the next couple days.
I was also called by someone that said it would be Wednesday at the latest. Friday came along, and no cover. I called the sales guy and he said it could take 2 weeks. I said no big deal, just wish they would have told me that up front. 2 weeks went by and no cover. I called the service number and they said it would definitely arrive within the next week. Friday came along and once again no cover... So I called the service number again, they said they'd look into it and call back. 3 pm came around, nobody called. I called the service number again and they said they tried to call me back 3 times. I had no missed calls, and of course no messages. They said unfortunately my cover was damaged and it could take another 10 days for the delivery. Another two weeks for a cover!? Apparently nobody was going to call me to inform me. They said there was nothing else they could do.
So I put down a large sum of money on a new tub, and I was told it would be delivered with a cover in a few days... I'm now waiting 6 weeks. This is completely unacceptable, and I have serious doubts about the quality of the tub based on my experience so far. Made in America!? Shame on you Master Spas! I could have floated to China and back by now! I wish I would have purchased from someone else! Anyone else in fact. I live at high altitude, temps drop single digits every night and the tarp I'm using just isn't as adequate as the cover I paid for a month ago and still won't have for 2 more weeks... supposedly. I'd give Master zero stars if that was an option.
Anyway, a good business would say "We are sorry you paid a lot of money and don't have your cover, the very least we can do is spend a small amount of money and expedite the delivery process so you are at least minimally satisfied." At least "try to help me out here!" This is not what I expected, I'm extremely disappointed, and I would tell any other customer to BUY ELSEWHERE! I don't trust this company, I sure feel like I'm getting screwed, and I hope nobody else has to deal with their incompetence as I have. And you can go ahead and say the delivery service is separate from the manufacturer, that's a likely excuse, but it doesn't get me what I already paid for a month ago.

Master Spas had a big show in a convention center. I went looking and ended up buying one of those corner two to three-person spas and it has the lounge seat on one side then the shoulder massagers on the other side. I didn’t check any prices, but supposedly they had a big promotion going. I chose the smaller one, it’s just me and I didn’t need a big six-person one, and I wanted it to sit in a corner of my deck. It has the two-pump system which is supposedly more powerful. I’ve had it for six months now and I like it. I get in it about four times a week at night and I’m enjoying it.
I need a little help controlling the alkalinity and the hardness of the water. It’s new stuff to me, but trying to keep the water right is the only problem. They got a booklet to go by, but I’m not much of a reader and I’m more of a hands-on learner. When they came, set up the spa and put it on my deck, I didn’t have it wired up to run, so I had to learn the ropes by myself to figure out what to do. But overall, I’m happy with my experience with it.

I went to a trade show, and the salesmen I was dealing with were horrible and I was afraid to give them my credit card, but luckily, I did some paperwork and they sent it to the distributor. The guy called me and told me that they would give me the same price if I could go there. I went up there and he was the best.
My spa is awesome. It has 35 jets and a three-man thing, and it has two five-horsepower engines in it, so it has a lot of power. Master Spas’ product is really solid. The whole graphics system is really nice. It’s worth the price, and it’s not totally “way out there” expensive. I got mine for $4000 off than what it normally costs. I saw what they were in the showroom, so I got a really good deal. But I'd pay even a little extra $1,000 for the one I got. The quality of the Jacuzzi from Master Spas so far has been great. The guy who delivered it said it would cost me $250 a month in the winter to run it and I keep it at 100 degrees. It was sub-zero here for at least a week then two out of the three weeks it was very cold here and my bill costs $100 so I’m happy with it. I love Master Spas and I try to get a couple of guys at work who were looking for a spa to get one and deal with Master Spas.
Thanks Eric! We're so happy to hear that you're enjoying your spa.

Master Spas was on sale at the time I went into their store and the price was good. I love the CLS Balance 7 spa. It is great. I liked the silver color that I got. The spa has the waterfall feature. It has the lounger and the LED lights around it. It also has two different jet motors. The quality is great so far as we only had it for a month. The installers got here when they were supposed to and dropped off the spa. There were three of them. One of them went over the features and the filter on what I was supposed to do. He told me how to run the pad itself on the spa.
However, when the spa was delivered, the delivery guy did not bring my chemicals and when he brought them back that night, I was off to work. He just dropped off the chemicals and left. We never got the tutorials for the chemicals on how to utilize them and what exactly they were. We were left in the dark and we had to figure it out ourselves. When we got the spa, we didn’t fill it up for at least a week because we had to get our electrical updated and have the electrician come in and hook it up for us. And when we filled it up before we turned it on, we wanted to call them and ask them and make sure that we were going it correctly.
I called the owner of Master Spas to ask him questions about it. The conversation between my husband and him got quite heated and he started to yell at my husband. It was horrible. The owner just said the instructions were inside. He was not very friendly and didn’t want to explain things to us. He talked to my husband and I like we were idiots and that we were supposed to know what was going on but we have never owned a spa before. If I had known that he was that type of person, I would never have purchased the spa from them.
Hi Amanda, I'm sorry to hear about this. We are the manufacturer of the spa, so we don't always get to hear about customer interactions with our third-party retailers until after it's happened. I'll email you a PDF of our chemical care guide, and if you have any questions from now on you can call our corporate customer service team at (800) 860-7727 and they will be happy to help you. Thank you for the honest feedback.

Master Spas was highly recommended as one of the better hot tub manufacturers and that was what I wanted. I told the rep I wanted the tub to last a long time and he gave me several choices. But he basically told me that if I was looking for something good and I can afford it, I should get Master Spas. I've had the hot tub since late September and I use it about three times a week. I didn’t expect the maintenance to be as time-consuming but after you do it, it falls in a routine and it's doable. I got the hot tub for therapy and relaxation and it’s well worth the price. It has very good quality and the cost is balanced out by that. If you can afford Master Spas, you should get one.
We're so glad to hear that you are enjoying your spa, Letty! Thank you for the feedback.

I’ve been looking at several of Master Spas items, and the Twilight Series 7.2 is top of the line. It’s worth every dime I spend on it. My favorite feature is the neck massages and the two Master Blasters down on the bottom that massages your feet. I researched on about 60 different brands. There was a company in Minnesota that made one similar to Master Spas that had one of the highest ratings in the country. I tried contacting them five times and they never got back to me after six months.
Master Spas had some inside markets, and at the convention center that particular weekend, there was a national firefighter convention at that center. As a retired firefighter, I went there to participate in that and at the same time, Master Spas had one of their weekend displays of all the different types of spas in the same place. One of the salespeople there was friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to demonstrate some of them for me. I was impressed and I owned a five-person hot tub I bought off of eBay about 20 years ago, that I had for about 15 years. I really enjoyed it, but it had one pump on it. It finally broke down on me about four years ago and it was time for me to get another.
I’m 72 now, but my doctors told me that having that spa for 14 years and using it nearly every day helps improve my lifestyle and my health condition. That saved my life, so it’s time for me to get another one. My Master Spas is 10 times better than that one I had, and I’ve been using it about twice a day, keeping it up and about. I’ve gotten on the Master Spas website, ordered a couple of new filters and a couple of other small things. I’ve submitted several pictures of my spa on how I got it set up on the website as well. I got some deck chairs and an umbrella and everything set up around it. I’ve also been to the store they have in Austin. Their rep was really cooperative and helpful. I’ve mentioned this to a dozen people that I’ve come in contact with and recommended to everybody. Of all the ones I’ve seen, I think Master Spas outdoes everybody on the market.
Thank you George! We're thrilled to hear that you're loving your spa so much!

We had a hot spring and a hot tub before at our previous house. We were never really happy with the hot spring. It was way overpriced and not great. At $10,000, it should have been spectacular but it wasn’t. So, when I purchased the Master Spas, it was a great compromise. We got a seven-foot spa with a lounge in it. We use it all the time and I really like the overall finish of it. Also, the heater and the jets are powerful.
Our spa was less expensive and the quality is good. Master Spas’ representative was very helpful and even though I didn’t walk to the store to buy a spa, he did a good job of explaining it. The installation went fine. It was a ridiculously cold, frozen, and snowy morning when the installers got here so they just dropped it off and left. I did all the electrical work myself and I was good with it. We’ve been happy with the spa so far and I’d tell a friend to come check it out.
We love to hear that, James! We appreciate the feedback.

We were doing a new construction and we had ordered the spa at a show at the Arena on Green Bay. The salesmen were fine. We let Master Spas know that we were still building and that we would be needing it a few months down the road. They told us it is not a problem. They can build it out and have it in their warehouse. When I told them we were ready to have it delivered they told us that it was in their warehouse in Chicago and it would take a few weeks before we can get it.
Long story short they didn’t end up getting all my lawn in before the end of the year. I was a little disappointed in that. I probably could have given them more heads up if I knew it would really be an issue for them. But once they got it in stock and it came up they got it set in place. The purchasing side of it went fine. In regards to the product itself we like the spa a lot. All in all I'm satisfied. We just enjoy it. It’s nice to be able to get in there and relax.

I'm so glad I bought the spa from Master Spas. The installer was a very nice young man and did a very nice job of putting it where I want it, how I want it. I'm 82 years old and I live in Central Texas where the weather changes. Moreover, I’d just gone through six weeks of hip replacement and just got back. I have the spa on my porch. It's covered and I really am enjoying it. I use it every 6:00 PM for about an hour before I prepare for bed. I'd come in and take a good hot portion of shower to get the fluorine. It's a premium quality product with excellent service. In addition, it's very easy to clean. It has been a good buy for me and I'd recommend it.

I knew the guy who was selling the Clarity 7 from Master Spas and he told me that it was the best one on sale during our state fair. The tub that we bought has two-seat tub jets and light, and it fits seven. I like that it seated that number of people and for a reasonable price. The quality of the spa and tub is nice and I like it. I go in it and relax after work, but I have not used it a lot lately since it has been 20 below here. I hear that it is not good to be sitting on those temperatures, so I had it sealed up. I had some minor issues with it and I reached out to the people that I bought it from and they helped me out. There were stickers inside where one showed the minimum water level while the others were like warning labels. As soon as the water filled up and heated up, those stickers came off and developed into balls all over the inside of my hot tub and inside the jets, so I've been continuously trying to clean my filter to get those out.
It was a pain to have those stickers and they should paint them on because now, anytime someone wants to sit in the hot tub and if they touch anywhere there are stickers, those balls will continue to come off the sticky part and get stuck in my jets. I still haven't mastered how to get the chemicals out and it is confusing, and I've been reaching out to friends of mine that own hot tubs rather than the dealer itself. But overall, the Master Spas tub is a good product and I would recommend it to a friend.

He was a good customer service guy and I appreciated that. I got the HL 7 model from Marquis Spas. I liked its size and price. My birthday was the day I bought it and it was a wonderful birthday present. I had a problem though when I first got the tub here as my unit was bad but the company replaced it in a week. They took care of that very well. I use the tub for relaxing and exercising. I am still learning about the filters and I appreciate that the manual is dummied. I would recommend Marquis Spas.

Master Spas had a show at State Fair Park, and the rep showed us everything we wanted and answered all my questions. My husband sat in a Master Spas Twilight series hot tub, and he fit in it. We like the lounging area where you can sit with your legs bent, and then there are jets all along. The tub was pricey, but you get what you pay for. We built a room for it and we use it every day, and the tub feels so relaxing on our back and muscles. However, if you have to get out the molders, you’ve got take the full front panel off. I wish they just have one panel in the front where you could just unscrew that and go from there. Other than that, the tub is good so far and I would recommend Master Spas. Every time we had problems and we called, they were always very helpful. My friends have seen the tub and I’ve told them where I got it.

I got a good discount on the Master Spas I bought at a garden show. I had an excellent experience with their sales rep there but the spa installation was not good. The guys that came out knew very little about electricity. They don't even have a multimeter with them. They need to have some electrical background to know what they're doing. They got things hooked up wrong and blew a fuse, though part of that was my fault. They should have the equipment they need to be able to check the lines and make sure that they got the correct voltage too.
Once the spa was set up, it’s been great. The quality seems to be very good and I find it to be built better than other brands. I also like the foot massage feature. With the filter piece that’s in there though, I was told at the show that I would never need to add any kind of chlorine and that this filter would take care of all that 100%. I would just change that filter out every six months. But that's not true. I still have to add chlorine to it. And it seems to need more chlorine than my old tub. I don't get as much life out of the dose as I did with my old tub. I'd really like to try the cartridge in there without that filter in it. It's got two filters in it, and one of those filters also has an internal filter that's supposed to work magic. They were very misleading and I'm not happy with that. If they modify that filter system, I’d like to know about it and replace mine.

The tub that we got is small but it has what my wife and I needed as we didn’t want anything elaborate. It was low and easy to get in to since we are both in our late 60s. It's relaxing and a good way to let some tension go. I feel better when I get out. It’s also pretty simple to maintain. It was a good buy and I'm happy with it.

The Healthy Living hot tub is a smaller model, which made sense instead of spending $10,000 on a bigger spa so that we can have people in it. We’re empty nesters and we were only interested in a husband-and-wife getaway place. We got a good deal on it too. We paid cash and they gave 15% off immediately. That was really great and they were willing to work with us. We’ve looked at getting a hot tub for five years for the eventuality that we would have an empty nest and with other spa companies, we had a lot of fast talkers and you have to make a decision within 24 hours. That was not the experience with this particular company.
Everybody that we had talked to said, “You not just find a spa. You’re buying a relationship with a company with a good technician.” We were aware that we needed a technician that was close to us because we are in a pretty rural area in the middle of United States. It was explained to us that there was a storefront near our city but that was actually a little disingenuous because it wasn’t the 25-minute city away from us. It’s the capital two hours away. They were fast-talking and although we knew that we weren't getting swindled, we felt it was a little slimy.
But the company had bent over backwards to correct some of the delivery mistakes and help us with the whole pH thing. That took time to learn even though my husband’s a chemist. We really felt that once the product was delivered, we had a good relationship with this company. But there were some little weird things that happened. They literally delivered the wrong hot tub to our house and I didn’t notice. I was throwing a dinner party and we were given less than eight hours for the delivery time.
I filled it up the next day thinking they got the wrong color but it was the wrong hot tub. I had already filled up the hot tub and put chemicals on it. I said, “I’m not draining this in the winter time. This is now my hot tub.” I signed the paper and it’s not my problem that we got a better spa then. It is well-built and it also looks durable. It has strong jets and is very easy to use. We got it in mid-October and we’ve been in it everyday even when the wind chill was -26. We absolutely love it. We’re getting on in years and it helps us with the arthritis pain. I really believe that it is a positive health influence on our life.

The Twilight Series by Master Spas that I bought has some nice jets, foot blaster things and circulation pump and all the stereo equipment on it. We’ve had it for a few months now. The tub has helped with joint and back pain issues. We had an issue where the heater went out on it but Master Spas got that fixed right away. The tub seemed to be on par and it’s pretty simple. Master Spas is a top-quality product and is worth what it is being told for.

It took me 27 years to convince my wife that we needed a hot tub. When I looked at the products of different hot tub manufacturers, the quality of the Master Spas hot tub looked more impressive. Also, I liked the dealer. I enjoyed working with him before on the wood burner at the office. He’s a great guy and he answered every question I had. I got a Master Spas hot tub from the Twilight series because it is big and it has everything that I wanted. I liked the three pumps and there’s one spot where it has the shoulder jets that come down the neck and shoulder. It also has two waterfalls that seemed to impress my four-year-old grandson.
I’m very happy with the tub. We are in it everyday and it’s probably saving money on heat in the house because we warm up there in the evening before coming in, so I don’t have to turn the thermostat up in the house. But the product should come with better instructions on the control panel because I had to figure out the lights. It should come with better instructions as well on how to get the water balanced, how to dump the chlorine you want in there, and how to get the right pH level. It took me two months to finally get to be very confident that the water is good. Also, I would have liked the tub to have been cheaper, but I was completely satisfied with it.

We got a hot tub from Master Spas that has two lounges in it, and it's got a high shoulder seat on one corner for high massages, which is my favorite spot. The ordering went smooth, but instead of four to six weeks or eight weeks, it was 12 to 14 weeks. We ordered in August to have it for the late summer but we didn't get it until November. It was almost a Christmas present. Then, when they finally said they were going to come, they didn't. They came another day and it was late in the day. We were the last on the shift because they were running late.
When they installed the hot tub, it didn't have a cover. They had to leave and come back. Also, because the spa was an 8 x 7 and the way that we oriented it was so we would be able to watch the TV, the cover comes off directly in front of the TV. We had to take the cover frame off and use the cover by hand. We spent $500 building a TV stand outside and we can't watch it because the cover is there.
We also had some issues with the tub when we first got it. The electric didn't work and we called for help. The Master Spas rep said we had to have an electrician, but I said the electrician was just here and had done all he could do. The rep said, "It's Friday in the afternoon. We can't come in until Monday." They also said to call back if I couldn't get it fixed by that Monday, but we just fixed it ourselves. I took it apart myself and found out there was a fuse blown, and the only place to get the fuse was from a place in Oregon. We had to call and have it shipped overnight but it took about a week to actually get it to work.
Once the hot tub worked, though, it's been great. We've been using it almost every day since we've had it in there. We enjoy it a lot and haven't had any trouble with anything. The pumps have been running good but it took us a little while to get used to it. However, the instructions on the model itself don't give a lot of details on how to run it and set it up. It tells you what the features are like the buttons and stuff but it doesn't really explain what those features are. So, it took us a while to figure out the chemicals. We bought four different test strips, and each test strip is completely different. Being new spa owners, we weren't used to that. It took us about two weeks before we finally figured out a routine.
We also couldn't tell where the power was but they kept saying it's all in the book. It really wasn't. They handed us two pages of instructions that weren't in the book, but they said it's important to have. They also said, "If your stuff is not set up, you'll get a penalty," and, "We'll charge you to come back.". Overall the spa is awesome, but the dealers weren't. As far as the product and the operation, Master Spas definitely feels like it's good quality. We've only had it for two and half to three months now but everything seems right.

Definitely check out Master Spas because we love ours. It's a three-seater spa with lounge seats and its quality is top-notch. The water stays clear and I don’t have any problems with the temperature or the lighting. We got it through The Big E at the Eastern States Exposition. I picked it because it was US-made and because of its size, since we wanted additional seating. My sister has a different brand, which we had looked at and we liked the Master Spas better. My husband has chronic Lyme disease and the spa has helped him tremendously with his aches and being able to relax and make him feel better.
Master Spas' customer service was great. However, the company that we were dealing with in between them was not good. When we bought the hot tub, we sat down with the people at The Big E and we talked about the cover and the lift that comes with it. However, they did not include it when they said they would. It's probably our fault for not double checking everything. The middle man did not want to give us that but Master Spas honored the agreement. They told them that they need to give us the cover lift. It was really great.

We were in the market for buying a tub. We looked at the different companies and looked at the reviews from existing customers, and Master Spas had a lot of very positive remarks. If other people had used them and had good experiences, then that was a good indication that we would probably have the same experience. We went to Master Spas’ home show, and we had a particular salesperson that was helping us there. We were looking at a hot tub, talking about price, and we told him we were very interested in that particular hot tub, the Legacy Whirlpool. Another salesman came over with another husband and wife, and he started talking to them about that bathtub after us. While we were standing there, he told us not to bother getting attached to that one because he just sold it. It was incredibly rude, and that was the only negative.
Our salesman said that if we didn’t mind waiting, he could order the hot tub in the color that we wanted, like the one that was on the floor. It was six to eight weeks of waiting, but that was okay, and they gave us a contact number for someone in the Maryland office to keep in touch, which was fantastic. The girl we dealt with was very professional, and she responded very quickly if I left a message for her. She gave us a heads up the day before she called us the morning they had projected the tub was going to come in. The guys who came to deliver it were amazing, and they did a great job. It was fascinating to watch how the three young men moved that hot tub from the back of their truck on our driveway, all the way down around our house and onto the patio.
It was later in the summer when the tub arrived and the weather got cold quickly, so we didn’t get to use the tub a lot. But when we do, we love it. We like that the Legacy Whirlpool has two kinds of lounging chairs. It had lower seats and higher seats for people who are tall, like I am, or not as tall as others, like my wife. That way, there are seats for everybody and you don't end up with your face under the water. Also, the tub has different kinds of jets and their strengths can be adjusted. I have health issues and the tub has been very helpful. I'm looking forward to the spring getting here, so I can use the tub on a regular basis. My experience with Master Spas has been very positive and I would absolutely recommend them.

We bought a Twilight Series 240, which has a smaller footprint than the one we had before and is ideal for just two people. It also has a lot more jets and pressure. Plus the quality is excellent. This is four times better than my old hot tub. The reps were very knowledgeable and informative. The only thing I had a small problem with was the delivery. They didn't explain how to access the panel that opened up, which had all the instructions inside of it. Other than that, we're very happy with it. You can’t go wrong with Master Spas.

My fiancée previously had Master Spas that he had gotten locally and they were at an expo one day and we decided to ride up and check it out. The expo was sponsored by David's Home Entertainment and Recreation and they are a Master Spas dealer. We're really comfortable with that company and we bought the hot tub from them. The tub’s large and it seats at least seven. It's got waterfalls and lights, just what we wanted. The sales reps were extremely cooperative and enthusiastic. They showed us high-end, medium, and low-end models and were really explanatory about them and confident about the merchandise they were selling. The quality for the money is well worth it. I had a hard time with the chlorine but that's because I have no chlorine in my water and we run off of on well. We use our tub regularly and we love it.
That's so great to hear, Cynthia! We're so glad that you're enjoying your spa and that you had a good experience with David's Home Entertainment.

We went to one of the parking lot sales to get a hot spring and the Master Spas factory sales guy was very good and outsold everybody else. He was very knowledgeable, very honest, and a trustworthy guy. I purchased a six-person Twilight, got interested in the Eco Pur filtration, and it had a lot of American-built aspects to it. The overall fit and finish were very good and the three pumps were extremely well-engineered. The hot tub is a good value, great, and I love it. We live up in the mountains and it’s freezing cold, I run in to the tub and jump in, then I run back in the house. It’s very relaxing and nice, and I’m glad I got it instead of a boat.
We bought the hot tub in Oklahoma City and had it installed in North Carolina, and both of the vendors were absolutely fantastic and excellent in communication, especially Dave's in North Carolina. I couldn’t say enough nice things about Chris and Mike and the guys in Waynesville, North Carolina. I’m very pleased with their honesty. If you’re going to get a Master Spas tub, you should at least talk to them and take it for a test ride.

When I bought our first Master Spas hot tub in 2003, they offered a promotion where after 1 year of ownership, you can submit a claim to get a $5000 rebate. But when I submitted it, I got the runaround. They said that they used a third-party company that funded the rebate and that company went out of business. It was a publicized thing, and there was a class action lawsuit. But we didn't get anything because of bankruptcy. It would be nice if they could pay me that rebate. Other than that, we were happy with our first hot tub. And when we saw the model at the exposition they had at the state fair, we bought it. The reps showed us all the options and then we negotiated the price of the model we liked. It was a good experience and we got a good price on it. We’ve been using the tub for about four months now and it allows us some relaxation time. We use it about four times a week, and we are very happy with it.

The installation was smooth and very efficient and the installers were nice people. The Twilight's quality is excellent and it was made in the USA. It is energy efficient, easy to operate, and it works. I like the lounge part of it the most. I would recommend Master Spas. They were professional and had honesty and efficiency.

We bought a Master Spas Healthy Living hot tub. It was the floor model at the store we went to, and they were negotiable on the price. The store was really good about helping us get it set up. We compared the tub to the ones that they have at Costco, but Master Spas seemed to be a little better than those. We really like our tub and we use it all the time. We like the number of jets on it. Also, maintaining the tub isn't bad. I just put the chemicals in it and clean it up once a week. It does good.

We had a spa from Master Spas before and it was old and worn-out. It was almost 20 years old, and we couldn’t get the right parts for it anymore, but it was so good, so we didn’t go anywhere else. We went to the Master Spas in Cleveland and the people there were very helpful. It has been a good experience. We bought our second one and we’re pleased with it. It runs in line with the other spas as far as its price. Also, it's easy to take care of, but it’s been so cold here that we haven’t used it a lot. I have rheumatoid arthritis and my husband has a bad back, so it feels good when we use it.

We have a Twilight Series 7.2 from Master Spas. Zack was our sales representative and he was really good. I also had a follow-up interaction with Steve, the manager that I ran into at the local fair. He was also very informative. We like its size, the number of jets and that they have two or more motors. I also like the power of the hydrotherapy pumps. It's a relaxing way to unwind every day, not just for my wife and I, but the kids as well. I use it every day when I'm home. It's beautiful to look at and so far, we're very pleased with everything that we use on it. We owned a spa from Vita Spa before and Master Spas is definitely more powerful as it has more jets. We loved the old one but the motor burned out twice and I wasn't going to replace it a third time so, I cut it up and dragged it out to the sidewalk. Plus the price that we paid for our Master Spas was really good. It is a good product and we're looking forward to getting many years of good use.

We bought a hot tub from Master Spas. We had done some local shopping in our town and they had an advertisement. When we were on our way back from up north, we stopped in there. The salesman was very helpful, and the price was good. We have a sitting, a lounging, and a corner seat. The hot tub fits us well. Moreover, we were able to custom order the liner and the outside cover. They were very helpful and threw in the steps as well as the carryover bar. The hot tub's quality is very nice and it was worth the money. We use it two or three times a week and it feels very relaxing. It came in on the first of November and we have had to empty it once. I had a granddaughter in there and she got a horrible reaction to it. She broke out badly. She's got a more sensitive skin than us as we've all been it and none of us has a reaction. We emptied it anyway and refilled it. It was easy enough. I'd recommend Master Spas.

I bought a hot tub from Master Spas. It had the best price for the dollar and everything is exactly what it was represented to be. However, my wife complains about the pressure and that maybe instead of 4-horsepower pumps, it should have 5-horsepower pumps, like the last one that we had which had a little bit more jet action than this one does. Also, we had two really cold snaps, and both times that we had the really cold weather, it tripped the breaker but it takes off and runs just fine. It just gets really cold. Nonetheless, it helps relax my sore muscles at the end of the day.

I bought a Clarity hot tub by Master Spas. I like its size. It was big, seven by seven, and it’s aesthetically pleasing. I went in expecting to pay $4000 and ended up paying closer to $8000, so I would like for it to have been less. But once I started thinking about it, I thought, “Why cut corners?” and “What’s the difference of a thousand dollars?” In fact, the hot tub was better than I expected it to be, and we got close to the top of the line, so I’m okay with it. It has two jets with the filter that’s supposed to make the water really clear. The Master Spas team came to our house twice. Once to install it and another, when I called them three weeks later to come and give me a tutorial on how to take care of it. And David’s, their vendor came.
The chemistry part of the tub was a little intimidating at first. Our vendor sold us a frog that you put in which regulates the chlorine and the pH levels, and it was awesome. It makes the work with the chemicals easier. As Master Spas continues to improve, maybe one day they will come up with a spa that will take care of the chemicals by itself. At this point, I’m becoming an expert on its maintenance, and I know when to add water and what to do to it. I will probably drain it in March for the first time, so that will be a new one for me, but as for everything else, I’m picking up fast. My wife and I are out there in the tub together a lot, and I’m in it every day. It’s cool and it feels like we’re on vacation when we are in it. I referee basketball, and I feel like I’m 15 years younger now and I don’t have any aches. I’m obviously satisfied with it.

We purchased the Twilight 240 from Master Spas and its features are all pretty much good. We looked at a few other manufacturers and the size of the pumps and the number of pumps were the biggest factors of our purchase. The salesman and the two guys that delivered it were all good. They were professional and quick. They also took care with handling things and explained a few of them to me. So far, everything is of good quality and I have not had any problems with it. The cost is also good. It's a little higher than some of the other spas but the two pumps instead of one pump made up the difference.
We’ve had the spa for almost two and a half months now and we use it about four times a week on the average. It takes away some of the aches and pains after a hard day at work. The maintenance has been pretty simple. It’s easy to take care of and I just need to wash the builds around once in a while. We're quite pleased it, and we had a good experience with it so far.

We’re very happy with our Twilight spa from Master Spas. We enjoy using it several times a week and it’s easy to take care of. With its size, we were able to get it down some steps into a basement pit area which was very tight and the Twilight spa is one of the few tubs that would fit there. We also like its high-horsepower pumps and the fact that it is a therapeutic spa. Master Spas had a good reputation and that affected our decision in going with them. When the salesman we worked with said getting the spa would be “one of the best investments you’ll ever make,” I laughed because I’m in finance and we’ve said that to each customer. My wife and I went to a show one weekend to kill some time. We had no intention of purchasing a tub but the folks there were very nice and weren’t pushy. They explained everything we wanted to know about it, the financing and the price. We were at the right spot with the right deal at the right time and we liked the way it looked and its features. We were sold so we ended up buying the eight-foot Healthy Living hot tub from Master Spas. It was just the right size and value for the dollar. We like the jets and where we can adjust them. We also like the lighting, the comfort and pretty much the whole thing. Plus we like the magnetic therapy in it too which is something that I’ve known about for many, many years. I’ve been a successful patient of magnetic therapy, so when I found out that the tub had magnets, I get both the hydro and magnetic.
The hot tub has been wonderful. We’re in our late 50s and we’re both very active. Plus, my wife got osteoarthritis and I’ve got a touch of “osteo” and it makes a difference when we can get in there, soak and loosen up the muscles after we’ve been working all day, physically. We get the benefit of the hydrotherapy and the magnetic therapy. It also helps us get out of bed the next morning and not hurt. I’m very happy with it. A lot of my friends are very active as well, and if Master Spas something they could afford and get, I would highly recommend it.

They coordinated the installation with an outside contractor and everything went well. The spa is larger than what we previously had, but not oversized. It offered more jets and a better filter system, and one of the two motors has dual speed. We were very satisfied with the purchase and we had it installed in our yard in our home. I purchased a hot tub from Master Spas. I liked the fact it was American made. The tub has lights and a radio. It seats five people. I have some small back issues and it’s been very helpful. I had one issue with the radio but Master Spas came right out and fixed it. One thing they didn’t offer though on the front end was a lid assist. They should make people aware of those. I have to go off and do my own research. I wasn't sure if what I bought was going to work but it worked out very fine. But I think that they should partner up with a brand that recommends some things. The one model that they may have had would require you to install it prior to filling it, which would be really helpful to know so you didn’t have to unfill your tub to fill it up to buy something. Even so, I'm very happy with my hot tub.

Master Spas convinced my wife who has a problem with her back that the Twilight 6.2 model would be good for her. We bought this at The Big E and we have had it for two months now. It has a dual filter system and I found that the filter clogs up after one month. I cleaned it then when I put it back in, it made a whole lot of bubbles and I didn't like that. So, I took it out again and cleaned it twice and it still had a whole lot of bubbles. And the water is milky looking now.
With the filter clogged up, it shut the water off going through the heater and the heater burned up. The Master Spas reps came here and replaced the heater element but they just said to run it without the center filter. Now, I can't run the spa with the center filter in place because I'm afraid the element would burn out again. The reps also said that they will mail a new filter. It has been over a week now and I haven't gotten one yet. The tub is a well-built unit and it seems to be nice, but I would tell others to check out other varieties of spas.

I have not yet received the Hot Tub I purchased on 11/6/17. When I first agreed to buy the tub it was going to be delivered the next day, but Brett says, “No worry you will get a new one not a floor model delivered from the factory in 2-3 weeks.” OK cool. "Any chance it can be delivered by Thanksgiving when my family was expected to be home?" "Can't promise, but there is a good chance. The factory folks will call on Monday." Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday no call. I called on Thursday and they said they could not give me any idea of when I could expect delivery. Yes they understood that I had paid in full but the factory was switching from 2017 to 2018 production and they had no idea of when I could expect a delivery and by the way Sam or Dave says "I am out of town next week so I won't be able to get back to you until after Thanksgiving."
I said that was unacceptable. I want my money back. "Sorry," he says. “No can do on the money back as we have a contract.” I said I will dispute with my credit card company then. "Good luck," he says. “You have a three day right of recision which is already past.” Funny they tell me over and over again how they have no idea of when I can expect delivery but now all of the sudden he knows exactly what to tell me. So two months later the credit card company sides with Master Spas and now I call to talk to Kevin the manager. I explain how his Sam and Dave routine went down and he says he can't blame them if the salesman, Brett, misrepresented when I should expect delivery. As if the salesman is not part of their company. OK then how do you explain the I don’t give a __ attitude of Sam and Dave. He basically says that is how they do business. He took no responsibility whatsoever for the miscommunication and blamed it on the salesman.
I have a small business and while I certainly understand that the customer is not always right I have never had any business work so hard to not take responsibility for their own employee's misrepresentations. Especially when the solution is so obvious. I made it clear that I thought the right thing to do would be cancel the order rather than force someone to take delivery of a product they no longer want. It could be a great hot tub but I will have a hard time relaxing in it after they have tried so hard to make me angry about it. Kevin says sorry but they cannot cancel the order. They are a volume business and every order counts. So I asked when I could expect delivery and he says 3-4 weeks which is a whole lot better than I have no idea.
Honestly if they had told me 3-4 weeks when I called the first time I would have been OK with that. But to say they have no idea after they have been paid in full is unacceptable and maddening especially given the dismissive attitude that accompanied it. From the salesman Brett who would tell you anything you want to hear to Sam and Dave and the manager Kevin who have no idea and don't care what anyone else told, they have no idea and no clue!
I have heard from a third party in the business that Master Spas makes a decent product but their customer service and follow through are terrible. I am confirming this for anyone who cares. Do not buy a Spa from Master Spas because they only care about your money and not your satisfaction. Every business is dependent on quality customer service and quality communication. They failed miserably on both counts. I don't know how they stay in business. Do yourself a favor and avoid Masters Spas like the plague!

Imagine our surprise when looking more closely at the warranty, the cover is expressly NOT covered whatsoever. Within 6 months, both covers were sagging horribly in the middle and collect rainwater every time it rains. Both were built level all the way across rather than sloping to ensure water was easily shed. 8 months after we purchased it, the switch to the auxiliary pumps broke. We contacted their service people and were told that although the part would be covered, they would be charging us $125 for 'transportation fees' to come out to our house. I purchased a Healthy living spa at a hot tub show at the end of August, 2017. The purchase and the installation were both good experiences. However, after the spa was installed and working fine for about 10 days it started tripping the breaker. I called the local store from whom the purchase was made (The Hot Tub Store in Utica, MI) and they sent someone out to look at the tub. They determined that it needed a new pump. It took nearly 3 months to get this pump. The store claimed that the pump was back-ordered. But, I contacted the manufacturer and they said that no such back-order existed. Soon after I called to complain they miraculously got the pump back in stock and came out to install it. It worked for exactly 1 day. I went outside to use it and it was ice cold. It had tripped the breaker, again. I called and let them know that it was broken again.
This time it took them about 2 weeks to come out. They made an appointment to replace the board this time. The appointment time came and they did not show up. They also did not call to change it or cancel. I called them back to find out what was going on and they said that they changed their minds and were now going to replace the pump again and needed to get the part. They set a second appointment and again did not show up. I had someone waiting for them that now had take 2 half days of work off for this repair! After another call to them they finally sent the repairman out. He showed up an hour earlier than the scheduled appointment time. He hooked up the new pump without anyone home to turn on the breaker. He called us and said that it should be fine but if it wasn't it had to be our electrical system causing the problem.
When we got home that evening we turned on the breaker and it immediately tripped. Since then I have had 3 voicemails from the shop wanting to bill me for a trip charge of $70. This is a warranty repair... Why in the world am I being billed for warranty work? Especially when they didn't even fix the problem? I had a master electrician come out yesterday and thoroughly inspect my electrical system.
After spending a considerable amount of time checking things out he has determined that the electrical system is fine. There is some sort of defect in the hot tub. Most likely the control board or heating element, that is tripping the breaker. I have contacted Master Spas for a name of another authorized warranty service facility. It is absolutely ridiculous that have spent literally thousands of dollars on a supposedly top-of-the line spa and I have literally been able to use it 3 times in over 4 months. I am extremely disappointed. If I could send it back, I would. It has been nothing but a hassle and I wish that I had never purchased it.

First off this is my second Master Spas hot tub and it was bought from Master Spas of Southern Wisconsin. I purchased it on August 13 2017, it was delivered on September 29 2017. When I bought this I was told that upon delivery that it would be all set up when they left, well guess what? I was told they would not hook it up electrically. Not happy. So I took care of it. Then 3 weeks after I had it I noticed water was constantly on the pad. After looking at it I call and told them that it was leaking and was told "IMPOSSIBLE. They don't leak." After 3 weeks of nasty talks they sent a service etc out to look and sure enough it was leaking. Two weeks later they came and took it to their showroom, pulled the bottom off, pulled a lot of insulation off, and according to them the water poured out but could not find a leak. I was asked to come and look and to see that it was not leaking and they could not find the leak.
When I got there they had the tub on 4x4s and had it filled to the min. water level. I asked them to fill it to just below the control panel and run the pumps, guess what, sure enough from the water being up higher and the pumps running and splashing on the waterfall control water started to leak. Now at this time the manager told me that I had it to full, yep to full. After they pulled the control off, broke it in the process, replaced it and silicone around the LED light, no more leak. Now I was told that they would refoam it and deliver it the next week.
When they brought the tub to my home, it was dirty, had leaves in the bottom and no foam! I called them and was Hung up on. So I called M.S. Home customer service and they listened very intently. Said they would get back to me. A week later I called again and was asked to send pictures, which I did. Never heard back. Called again, same story. So now here I am with a $7,500 hot tub, no foam insulation, a bottom that looks like a child put it on with big screws and no customer service. Guarantee I will not buy another Master Spas hot tub.

We got the Twilight Series and we bought it from Brian at Phoenix Spas and Hot Tubs. We ordered a light grey top to it, almost like a cameo silver, and we told him that if we didn't like it, we would like to get the dark grey top. He said that it’s not a problem and that he could take care of it. He also told us he had a roof rack in his car and since we live only three miles away, he would deliver it to us. Now, it's been almost 40 days and we still don't have the top.
Every time we call him, he just sends us a text that saying it's in process. I don't understand how there can't be a dark grey Jacuzzi top for our hot tub in that store ever. That's pretty much the way he's made it sound to us, so he's lying and trying to get out of giving us the color top that we want. But every time we call Master Spas direct, we couldn't get a hold of anybody. All they do is record this and record that and then send us off somewhere else. Other than that, we love the spa. I get an email back stating that will cut me a check for 600.00 to buy out the rest of my warranty. I'm absolutely heart broke over this. 6600.00 dollars I spent. Then they call and say well its just our policy and then I can have it replaced for $2000.00 to pay shipping. A hell no. I paid $6600.00 already. It seems unfair to me.
I had another tub for 12 years prior. All it needed was a cover and a heater. Under a $1000.00. Wish I kept it. I'm so upset and sad about this. Would be nice if these companies could back their product. I felt like the person I dealt with tried to find more excuses to make it my fault than theirs. It's never been moved since they delivered it. They said it should not cost them. It should not cost me. I paid already once. It's not fair. I would not purchase anything from this company. Shame on you Master Spas. I hope this helps whoever reads this. I will see you Master Spa at the next convention in many states to tell the truth. Very sad day here.
As discussed with you, there are several things that can cause this cracking including extended exposure to sunlight, an uneven foundation that the hot tub may be sitting on, use of harsh chemicals (may include cleaning items), and/or a fiberglass issue. Per the written warranty and as communicated with you directly, we have offered to replace the hot tub free of charge excluding freight, even though we have not been able to fully determine the cause of the issue. If you have another means of transporting the hot tub from our factory to you at a lower cost, please let us know and we will be happy to facilitate what we can.

Customer service can’t even bother to send the broken parts I needed when the new tub arrived and the salesman Jim is non-responsive. They definitely wouldn’t get any further business from me.

Master Spas had an expo and we went over there on the last day about the last hour. We talked to a fellow but he had been talking to someone else so he put us with a lady and she sold it. She said she got one finally fit in her house and that she loved it. She said we're going to love it, too. We had been looking for a hot tub for a long time anyway and their product seemed to be what we wanted.
They also asked us if we wanted it any sooner than the coming Tuesday and I said sure. The next day, a gentleman brought the tub out but he forgot to bring the umbrella that we got with it. So the young man that we talked to in the beginning helped to deliver the tub afterwards. As I understand, his grandfather owns the company so he was doing more than just selling their products. He was also very knowledgeable about what he was talking about. Both guys were very nice and polite. They did a super job and we couldn't ask for a better experience from them. Overall, Master Spas has been great and we love everything about our hot tub. I've been paying bills for the last 34 years and I'm worn out so I needed the massage on the shoulders and legs. We get in there, watch the lights in different colors and it's relaxing.

I was at a tent sale and the Master Spas salesperson was spectacular. I purchased a big one, seven-foot by seven-foot. It seated four comfortably so it was the right size. But when we got it, it had an air apparently when it had been put together. It was form of a wind and a guy came down and put it back together again. They also switched a couple of sensors and the guy came down on a Sunday and put the sensors right. The hot tub has added enjoyment, but also work.

We checked out several different hot tubs and we liked the way the Twilight Series 8.2 from Master Spas felt better when we sat in it. We purchased it and worked with Chip who was very good, always got back with us, and kept us up to date on things. Also, the lady at the store itself was friendly and helpful. The staff were cordial and I really liked dealing with them. When we started looking at tubs, we weren’t really looking to spend much but as we find out, we get what we pay for. We wanted something really nice and we got something really nice. The tub is definitely more than what we wanted to spend but it’s very good and relaxing. I get in there late at night and it feels good. We got the contoured seat and neck massage. The tub also has a lot of different jets we like and it’s chemical-free. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Master Spas to somebody.

Master Spas had a sale a month ago and my wife liked the CLS Balance so we got it. She did all the talking with the team and they were okay. However, we've been figuring out what to do with the kit they've given as there weren't very many instructions included. There wasn't much clarity in what to do and how much chemicals to put in. I had to go elsewhere for that information. But aside from that, it's pretty good.

We got a mid-grade hot tub from Master Spas. With the last one we bought, anytime something went wrong, I would have to hunt down someone to work on it or go on eBay and hunt down parts. This time, I thought I'd just go with someone that sold them and worked on them. The Master Spas sales guys were fine. It was a Sunday afternoon and I know nobody wants to work on weekends but they were nice. Even when it was getting close to closing time, they were very courteous and didn't rush anything. They took the time to show us all the products. So far, we've only used the hot tub three or four times. I don't have much use with it yet but it has a warranty. I wanted a separate spa and swim tank and Master Spas was one of the few companies that do that. I purchased the Michael Phelps Momentum D and the sales part was fantastic. They called me every hour and gave me all the information. They made sure all my questions were answered. However, we had a little delivery issue. I have a vinyl fence already up and I do not have a six-foot gate for them to get through with anything but it worked out. The area behind me was not built yet so they were able to bring the crane in and bring the spa over that way.
Master Spas' guy never showed up so they reached out to an outside vendor who did. We ended up having to contact Master Spas. They kept saying the issue was inexperience on the consumer. The filter wasn't being cleaned and that’s why it wasn’t heating. It was found out later on that the program had never been told to turn on the circulation pump so I’ve never had it heat. I got the hot tub in June and it was October before they came out and found my problem. The owner wanted to say that it was a dip switch but the installer was smart enough. He’d been doing it a long time and he says, “I’m gonna prove to you it’s not a dip switch.” He did a hard wire around it and it worked and so the owner believed him. We got the programmer on the phone and the owner shared his password because they wouldn’t talk to a vendor without somebody approving it.
We were concerned that it was gonna be an issue but it worked out. The owner went ahead and gave the programmer his code and they told us how to reprogram it and it’s working just fine now. It was never my issue but they wrote me up on Better Business Bureau that I didn’t know what I was doing. It’s not their fault and I don’t know how to clean the filters. The installer said, “It doesn’t matter what you did. The brain was not ever told to turn on that pump. It would have never heated.” And Master Spas kept telling me it was my issue. I hate to be ugly about it but when I closed out the Better Business Bureau, I gave the owner credit because, without his passcode, we would have been fighting with programmers for another week.
Other than that, I love my tub. I don’t regret getting it. I just was concerned that if I'm having as much trouble in the beginning, what’s gonna happen when it actually has an issue? The installer guy that’s been working on these for 17 years said I have a really good one and probably won’t have any more issues but if I do, I had his number.
Hi Julie! We're very sorry to hear that you've had a poor experience. I will be reaching out to you shortly to discuss this with you in more detail. Thank you for making us aware of this situation. We appreciate the honest feedback.

We went to the expo and bought the spa with cash. But the guys from Master Spas who brought it scraped up the whole side of it. I have specifically told them that the deck was four feet up but they brought two guys who were teeny weeny and couldn’t even lift it up on my porch. Nick, one of the guys who did it, seemed like he wanted to get my money then to hell with it. I also needed something so I can pull the top off by myself and I have called every person for it, even their 1-800 number. The guy shot me an email and told me that the man in charge with that would call me back but he never did. I live in Florida and I went to all places to try to get one of those lifters from them but they said I have to go back to the manufacturer. It was ridiculous. So I don't have a lifter because I can't get one.
I don't have any manual either and that's what I don't understand. They were telling me there was some manual to tell me what not to do and what and how I push on the touch screen, but I've got nothing. The spa itself is wonderful but I don't even know how to use it. When I first bought it, my light turned on and they said there are different colors but it’s stuck on blue and I don't know how to change it. They also said they gave me a little packet of chemical and that was it. So I love the spa itself but not the people who did it. I'm not happy with them at all and I would not recommend them to anyone.

I went to an expo in Marlborough at a hotel. I was in the market for a hot tub and I've read that there was going to be one there. They only had Master Spas there and I checked out what they had. I was originally looking at the wellness one because I have a lot of friends and I want to share it. But they didn't have the size that I wanted that I could afford so I ended up with the Getaway Series. There were four brand names that I was comfortable purchasing and Master Spas was on that list. They have a good reputation and I like the spa that I got. It was the size of the tub that I wanted and within the price range that I wanted. It's a really high-end tub. Also, the sales rep had been serving Master Spas for years and he was exceptionally helpful. If it wasn't for him, I'm not sure where I was going.
The tub has all the fabulous features that a Master Spas has in there. It has waterfall and sliding, and the lights change colors. It has 40 jets and I like the depth of it because my shoulders get covered. I have an illness which is the main reason why I bought it and it's providing me with a great deal of relief. I also liked that it was made in America. The insulation was amazing but the Polyethylene was from Canada. I thought the insulation would be really helpful to keep the electricity cost down, thinking it was covered in the winter time. I live in New England and we have a cold weather. I can also get music to open in it but I didn't really need all that. I love the ozone feature on it and I love the filter that it comes with.
However, I'm a new hot tub owner so I'm making a few mistakes. I had the tub installed for about three weeks and I'm a little concerned about the continuing filtration. It does not appear to be working when I put it on that. I just found this out today and I haven't had a chance to call the dealership that I bought the tub from. Other than that, buying the tub was the best thing I've ever done. It's something I do first thing in the morning and the last thing at night before I go to bed. It's like having a spa in my home.

I happened to be in Aqua Haven buying pool supplies, and they were having a sale on the spas. They showed me what was the best spa out there and if I was going to make an investment, I wanted to get a nice spa. The Master Spas’ sales team answered all my questions, did a demonstration and they were wonderful. They also told me all the features where you could unscrew the jets out and put different jets in to customize your experience and I really liked that. I grew up with a hot tub, so I know what they're about and when they went over everything, the timing seemed right to purchase a hot tub.
On the other hand, my best friend bought a house that already had an old Jacuzzi spa. Their spa compared to mine is like driving a Kia and driving a Maserati. They're totally different. Theirs has a weird and textured material. It was smaller and didn’t have the foot spa and the cupholders. While my Master Spa was designed for a tall man because my husband is 6'2, and he loves it. He has a lot of back issues which is the main reason why we bought it. This is a way for him to be able to relax and get a good rest. I also like the specific seat where it has the most jets from the lower to the upper back section.
The delivery was good as well. They called me like I requested so I could meet them here at the house. They were a little bit earlier than they scheduled, but they were professional, nice and offered to throw away the trash. They were also educated because I got a starter kit of chemicals and they explained to me how to use, work, and maintain them, which was helpful for a new spa owner. I had an easy experience overall.

When I went to the expo, the salesman, who was a very great salesman, one of the things that he had told us was that there would be two waterfalls. We do have two waterfalls but the one waterfall is not what I expected. He described the waterfall as falling over the filter and we purchased the tub partially because of that, but that was not what we got. When my brother called Master Spas, he was told that with the HL8.5 model that we have, we have the right waterfall. We had purchased from Master Spas prior, so the one that we had, we had purchased from them at the same exposition center. From what the guy told us, the updated version of what we had, we didn’t like the seats on that because we felt like the seats were way too low. We went with this model because it was similar and we like the comfort of the seats. We also like the color and the layout of it.
I work two jobs so by the time I get home, Master Spas office is closed for me to call. It’s also hard for me to talk during the day because I’m a teacher and can’t spend time on a phone call, so my brother was the one calling to check up on when it was supposed to be getting delivered. We’re still figuring out how to use the hot tub, but I don’t feel like the jets are as powerful as they were on my previous one. But it still does the job and I still enjoy using it. It was just sad and I was really upset with the fact that I put $9,000 into a product that I thought I was going to get. For the most part, I’m happy with the experience. The only issue was that I got the spa that wasn’t exactly what I was promised. Other than that, when I went there, the guy knew exactly everything about the spa and he was very helpful.

We keep trying to find people who will hook it up to the electricity but nobody wanted to dig up my ground. We just decided to leave it until next year until we find somebody.
We didn’t know it was gonna be this much trouble. The Master Spas rep didn’t really explain. He just said that all we had to do is plug it up, fill it with water and we’re fine. So far it’s not like that. Now we’re gonna spend a couple more thousand dollars to dig up the ground and put wiring. It’s gonna cost more money. It’s gonna wind up to $10,000. They never explained. They just said the wrong color got ordered and they went ahead and installed it. Then, they had to come back after they ordered the new parts to go on the outside and swap everything out. Also, after they all left, one of the setup kit bottle they delivered with the hot tub was almost empty when we opened it. When they came back the next week they had to bring us another bottle of it. I purchased a three-person hot tub from Master Spas. I was at work then and they had a tent sale at a ballpark. I deliver beer for a living and everything from the neck down hurts five days a week so I bought it. I've been in Master Spas before over the last year but I always thought that they were a bit too pricey, but I understand that they're a top-of-the-line maker. I have also met someone from Master Spas who came off a little brusque. He was the only one in there and it seemed like he wanted to see me what Michael Phelps trains in but it was not what I was looking for.
When I bought my unit I was approached by a different lady and the original guy I met before also came out and he told me about the 94% chemical list. He took me down to where they had a couple filled up so you can smell the water and feel it. That experience is why I bought it and the fact that the customer service and the interaction were there. During the transaction I asked the rep about the free delivery and what its catch was. And the guy was like, “Well, the catch is today is Thursday. We won’t start delivering until Sunday and we probably can’t get it to you until the following Tuesday.” It was like 10 days and I said, “Well, can I just come down and get it Sunday? They weren’t gonna hook it up anyway. They were just gonna deliver it."
He agreed and when I got to the outlet, the rep gave me a year's supply of chemicals and filters for the tub that seemed like $450 worth of stuff. Whenever I use the tub before I go to bed at night, I feel a lot better and I fall asleep easier. I get up in the morning feeling rested like I got a better night’s sleep. I can tell the difference. The quality of the tub is good and the service was great. I’d recommend Master Spas.

I'm very dissatisfied with my hot tub that I purchased though and wish I had kept my 10-year-old hot tub. I'm having a hard time cleaning the Master Spas tub. Also the filter is crooked and doesn't fit in there right and so I can't even put the cover on it. I've called the manufacturer and the store I purchased it from. They listened to my complaints but all they did was send me a filter in the mail. Also, the hot tub store here in Michigan is a useless store and I would never recommend their service. I couldn't get them to call me back after a dozen phone calls.
Master Spas should fix my hot tub. It's really obvious that the filter mechanism in there touches on one side where it's supposed to be one of those floating ones. The cover floats up and down, and it won't even do that. With any kind of an inspection at all, they could have noticed that. And I wondered if they tried to get rid of it. It definitely turned me off and I wouldn't recommend Master Spas just because of that.

I wish there was a little more training or that they would send somebody out to show us how to get the unit filled correctly and prime the pump after we get electricity to it because this pool may have an electricity run wires to it because it's so big and so complex. It's not one of those that you can plug in to a regular socket and it works. So I haven't been able to get water in it because I've been waiting for directions to figure out where to stick the water hose to fill it up and prime in the pump. Hi Earl! I'm happy to hear that your experience with our team has been a good one. Enjoy your spa! Thanks for the feedback.

I purchased the Twilight series from Master Spas because of the performance and durability. I could tell that the construction of the overall unit is a lot better compared to the other tubs I have looked at. We are happy with the continuous circulating pump where the water is constantly moving even when we're not using it. The Master Spas reps were excellent. Whenever I've got a question about something, I call them up and they got the answers for me right away. I talked to other people who had purchased spas from them and they told us how good the reps were to deal with. My wife and I would go sit out there in what we call sessions because the spa has timers on it for 15 minutes. We also waltz ahead with other family members a couple of different times. Everybody has definitely come out and really enjoyed the spa.
When the installer came and got it all set up, he went over the list and says, "Okay, this is what you have to do. You got this, this, this, this, this and this." I stood there dumbfounded and I suggested to our dealer that Master Spas should come out with a DVD when people purchase a product from them showing what needs to be done step by step and informing me of what I needed to do without having to bother them. It's a hands-on and learning experience for me and my wife. And it has also taken me a while to figure out the different chemicals.

We felt comfortable working with the company we bought Master Spas from. And while we were there, a few customers came in who are more than happy to chime in and let us know how happy they were. Also, Master Spas has a decent reputation and I like their price and quality. This is our second hot tub because we lost our first one, a MAXX, in a house fire. We didn't go with MAAX due to the price. We asked for a quote, but they didn't get back to us and lost all our info. When we called back they quoted for an entirely different spa.
The spa we got from Master Spas has fewer features than what we looked at before. However, it ended up being at a similar price point, before sales and everything else. It has a 24-hour continuous filter pump, which is better for the system overall. But, the other one had two speeds for two separate pumps, so there was a little more customization from that point of view. They were even at the end of the day. The features they had were offset by what they didn't have. We've used our spa for a week and it seems to be high-quality. It's a little louder than I expected because they touted how quiet it was, but it's really not any quieter than our old spa. However, we're happy with it.
I would recommend putting the steps at a different spot than where the controls are. Not only that, the controls are on the side where all of the electrical is, which is what the side you want closest to the house, and it's a little awkward. We ended up not being able to use the steps inside the spa as anything other than seats because of the proximity to the house. It just doesn't work. We tried to figure out different ways to reposition it, but there's no way. That part is simply designed badly. It doesn't affect the actual quality and the experience, but we can't take advantage of those inside steps when getting in and out.

My wife and I have two little kids and we wanted something basic. Master Spas offered a tub that had what we needed with the right price and it was on sale. It was an entry-level hot tub and it was about six grand. We ended up going to the store and talked to the sales guy. He told me about the tub then I did some research on it. The reviews seemed pretty good so we went with it and it was about a week and a half long process.
The tub came with a starter kit and Master Spas got it all ready for us. I'm happy with my tub but when they delivered it, they kept changing the delivery time and it screwed my schedule so I wasn't able to be there when they showed how to use it. They gave me a window when they're going to deliver it and I told them that I had to be somewhere at a certain time. I said I had to leave 15 minutes after the end of the window so they said they took me on the front of the list of deliveries. But they got here 10 minutes before I had to leave so I wasn't able to stay for them to show me how to drain the tub, which was pretty important. I had my wife listen to them but she didn't pay close attention as I would have so that was a little frustrating and I feel like I'm in the dark. I've been reading the manual, which I hate doing, but I have to since I didn't get the walk-through process that I was looking for.
I meant to call them and ask if there is any way they could come back out, set up an appointment, stick with it and walk me through. I plan on asking them how to drain the tub and I was hoping they'd call and check in with me. But it hasn't happened. I'm just going to get on the net and find out if I can get some kind of a tutorial on draining the tub. I'm a realtor, I know how sales works and they could get a pretty good referral business going if they do things right. The sales guy could follow up with people after they get the hot tub delivered and see how everything went. Other than that, I was satisfied with my experience. I had a hot tub growing up and that was a long time ago but I feel like the quality of the Master Spas' tub is pretty good. I would recommend them but people should do their research and make sure it's what they want.

We purchased a regular hot tub from Master Spas and it was nice that they didn’t try to oversell. We don't have it completely installed yet since we had some delays with the hurricane. But overall, our experience with Master Spas was easy and productive.
Hi Debra! We're happy to hear that you've had a good experience. Hopefully you've recovered from the hurricane and are enjoying your tub now. Thanks for the feedback!
