We got the TS 8.0 as our first hot tub and it's very good. Other than the standard features, it has the circulating pump and the lighting that we bought extra. The tub is of good value in terms of the features, benefits and price. The team was great as well. There were a couple of little glitches when we first got the hot tub, and they were handled expediently. We're very happy.
Thanks for the feedback, Christen! We're happy to hear that you've been enjoying your new hot tub.

We bought a spa at a hot tub show. We went to the vendor Paradise Spas in Cedar Park, Texas and changed our order to order a spa. About a week later then received a call from the delivery company that our spa would be delivered immediately from one in stock. It's delivered and is a disaster. Doesn't even have a Master Spa panel. We contacted the vendor and Master Spas. That was over a month ago. Still sitting in backyard and still getting run around from factory and vendor. Buyer beware!!

We went to a spa show in Salt Lake and purchased an Enterprise spa. Was told we did not need all the chemicals - what a lie. The filter that we were shown is not what came with the spa. The spa was to be delivered the following week and that we needed to wait until delivery to have the electrical run. No delivery that first week so we rescheduled the electrical. Midweek of the following week we got a call wanting to deliver the first of the next week. Reschedule electrical again. Next week went by with no contact. Numerous calls made to find out what happened with no response from Master Spa. Finally the saleswoman called me back as she had provided her phone number at the time of sale.
The delivery man finally contacted me wanting to know where we were located. I told him and his response - "I thought I did all the deliveries in your area. Your paperwork must have gotten attached to someone else’s." Would he not wonder why he still had the tub? He finally dropped off the tub the next week. We now had to wait another week and a half for the electrical. Finally after many weeks I put water in for the first time. Went out an hour later and noticed water pouring out of the tub. Took pictures of the water level and turned off the water. Went back out exactly one hour later and the water level was half what it was. Spent all day leaving messages for customer service with no response.
Finally got a hold of a live person who answers all incoming calls. He wanted to transfer me again to service which I refused and asked to speak to the president. This gentleman finally listened to my complaints and provided me his number so I could send the photos and video I had taken of the issue. Waited another week to hear from a service person who came out and discovered a huge slice in one of the hoses that occurred during the manufacture of the spa as he had to cut away the insulating foam to find the issue. He spliced the hose and scheduled an appointment to come back one week later to install the foam. The day he was to come out he called to reschedule to the following week. Does time mean nothing to this company?
My husband and finally called and spoke with someone from the company who told him to have the repair man replace the entire hose before installing the insulation. I sent the message to the repairman but he stated that he did replace the hose. He did not. He simply cut out the bad piece and spliced it. We bought and were charged for a new tub but what we received was a damaged tub and no one wants to make it right. Take my advice and stay away from Master Spas.

Well, we bought the spa. They installed it and left. No instructions, no waiting to have the water tanker fill it up and test it. Just dropped it off and left. It hasn't been a year since we installed it and the spa is falling apart. The screws and metal parts RUST? How is it that they put metal parts that rust in a Swimming Spa? When I told my distributor, Aqua Spas, they said they'd look into it. I received an email from them forwarding an email from Master Spas saying to just clean it up. "Grab a towel with fresh water and clean the rust off". The rust is not going away.
Then, the stickers at the bottom of the spa that help a swimmer stay on center, popped off. When I told them about that they said... "Oh, the water has too much Chlorine"... problem is, NO IT DOESN'T. At least not by the measure of the testing strips they have us use. I've had to replace two diverters already because when you turn on the jets, their quality is so bad, they break, shooting them up many feet in the air. If someone would have been close to the explosion, we would be suing for sure. When I brought up my complaints all I got was "clean it with a rag, there's nothing else we can do for you". Not even a year old. So, there it is. If you buy something from them and have this same experience, don't say you weren't warned.
Hi Carlos. We’re sorry to hear that you’ve been unhappy with your experience so far. While we understand your frustration, we also know that two of your complaints (rusting components & the deteriorating sticker) are typically only seen when there is some sort of chemical imbalance or chemical abuse which is why we advised you to check your chemical balance upon hearing the issues with your swim spa. We would also advise referring to page 30 of your owner’s manual for the proper care techniques and maintenance procedures for the stainless steel components in your swim spa. As for the faulty diverters, our supplier for those parts issued a recall on them and as soon as we were notified we offered free replacements to our customers that were affected. Our customer care team will be reaching out to your dealer soon so they can follow-up on these issues with you. We’ll also be sending you a replacement floor sticker. Should you need further assistance please reach out to your dealer, Aqua Spas, or call our corporate Customer Care team at (800) 860-7727.

I purchased a Legacy hot tub at one of those events in the Denver Area. My thought was that I would not have to worry about this product for years to come. 2 years later, it died. In addition, unknowing to me, a friend of mine also purchased one because he heard that I had purchased one. One year later his dies. Of course mine is no longer under warranty and they told me good luck with it. Shame on Master Spas for selling substandard products. The sales folks get you with their smooth talk but the products are crap.

Purchased a Master Spa TS8.2 in January 2019. I have had to have the LED light box replaced after 6 months and the Jets 2 pump replaced after 9. Yes, the repairs are under warranty but the authorized repairmen are not local and you will be stuck paying for a trip charge. I have had to pay $200 for each trip so far. Really hoping that these are the only repairs I will have for a long time, but we shall see. I can’t recommend this brand or model.

Now the heater or pump is shorting out and we have got zero help in regards to customer service or repairs. If we could give less than one star we would and at this point I can not recommend this product.

I bought a Master Spas pool, as a floor unit. The dealer did not disclose it was a junk old swim pool and I paid $30.000. I was told the gym equipment came with the swim pool and it was new. Less than a month, the equipment failed, since it was defective. Master Spas became very defensive and denied any wrongdoing, not willing to reimburse me for the defective equipment and not responsible for their only dealer in Calgary, continuously stating that's between myself and the dealer. Do yourself a favour and never buy their product to avoid being scammed by their dealers, and ruin your saving on defective products they sell without accountability if they don't work.

We recently purchased a Master Spa at an Expo in Pasadena. We had a wonderful salesman who had formerly served in the military. We also worked with the local representative in Conroe. She was fabulous as well. We received a prescription for the hot tub and promptly received our sales tax back. The hot tub was delivered early on the day we requested it, and the delivery personal gave a great overview on how to get it up and running. We have enjoyed the hot tub every evening and love the simplicity of its operation. It has comforted sore muscles and provided a new level of relaxation for us. We could not be happier with the hot tub and the service we have received. Thank you, Master Spas!

Our Master Spas Challenger 15D was purchased at a spa pool and BBQ show at the Pomona fairgrounds on July 14, 2019. We were concerned about an out of town entity providing service in the event of a warranty issue, and were reassured by salesman Tim ** that there were plenty of available service people in southern California and that any problems that came up would be taken care of, that Master Spas was a reputable company, etc., etc. They also said Master Spas representatives would be onsite during the delivery to make sure that everything went ok.
Our spa was delivered on September 18. Master Spas organized the crane for us to put it in the backyard, and that went fine. Two men were there from Master Spas, but all they did was make sure the spa was in the right place on the slab and assemble the plastic staircase that provides entry to the spa. Then they were gone and we were on our own.
The swim spa never worked. It turned on, but before we could use it, 2 of the 3 pumps didn't work, the swims spa function doesn't work and none of the spa functions, jets and bubbles worked. It has been a month, and one repair person has looked at it. His thought was that the computer needs to be replaced, but the bottom line is that we have had an expensive swimspa for over a month, and no one seems to have any urgency about fixing it. The people we purchased it from told us in so many words that it wasn't their problem, and the factory customer service rep is very pleasant, but so far, nothing is happening. It appears they contract repairs with independent spa repairmen who aren't terribly interested. I will amend this review as the events unfold.

We needed a new jacuzzi, and saw Master Spa ad on TV advertising a manufacturer's event at Long Beach Convention Center. We arrived on Saturday night, were met by Austin, and he showed us the 110v models. The major selling point was the new filter system, requiring no chemicals, and only a rinse every other month, and a easy filter changes. Austin was helpful, answered all our questions, and had the paperwork done promptly. We were in and out of there in less than an hour. Our experience with Master Spas was pleasant, courteous, quick and to the point. Plus the spa is US made in Fort Wayne Indiana. Looking forward to our spa delivery.

Terrible sales tactics and no returns. Went to a blow out event in Ancaster Ontario Canada and spoke with a sales rep (from Master Spas) not a local dealer who we have since found out either had no idea what he was talking about or intentionally lied. Told us.. 10 year warranty on shell and 2 years all parts labour. Found out later it's 5 and 1 year. Only need to change water 1 time a year. Found out it's 2 times a year at minimum. No chemicals needed and no smell due to "patent pending" filter. Found out needs all the regular chemicals any other tub does and does have the strong smell, also cannot switch it to bromine for no smell as their filter is not compatible with it.
Did not tell us it does not provide heat when in high speed with jets on. So it cools down about 10 degrees an hour and it's not even winter yet. Built pad to size in flyer yet when tub came it is smaller than what's listed so now I have an odd sized pad. No support for pad requirements. (Speak to a landscaper) was their answer. Was not told there was a setup fee for financing. So charged me $100 I was unaware of. Told by company (master spa) it would heat on high if converted to 220 then told by different rep it won't. Sent an email to master spas and they were not supportive at all. Answered a few things but no reply to my concerns. Horrible sales tactics. No returns. No satisfaction guarantee. Useless customer service department. No support from local retailer. Basically have a paper weight in my backyard.

We went to an expo at the NRG Stadium a couple of years prior to buying from Master Spas and we were in the process of buying a hot tub but some medical issues came up and we had to divert the money somewhere else. The company that we bought from didn’t wanna refund us our money so we wrote it off as a loss and a lesson learned. The same company was down here in our hometown and my wife went up and talked to the Master Spa rep that was there. He looked it up and saw that the money was still on the books. So, he applied that to the price that we had already been quoted. They gave us credit for it and we went ahead and purchased our Master Spa. It worked out great. I love the cost against its quality and I am enjoying the hot tub quite well. I have a bad back and I love the health benefit I get from it as well as the ease of use.

Master Spas came out to the Forth Worth Convention Center and they put on an expo. We went out to the expo and Maurice was there. He is quite a salesman and convinced us that the Master Spas was probably equal to or better than most other spas out here. And I agreed. The construction, the ability to choose what you want, and the price all work into the equation. We got a six-person spa and it has the lounger and the waterfall. It’s absolutely gorgeous. We chose the interior color, the exterior color and the siding colors. We chose the lights that we wanted on the spa and the cupholders. We had hoped to get the Elite but we didn’t have the money. We paid cash for it so we were only gonna buy what we could pay cash for.
They came out and did this onsite preview saying I gotta have an electrician come out and put in $1,075 worth of wiring so they could get the spa to where I wanted it on the patio. They said they were gonna put down some kind of a pad, but instead they built a foundation for it out of 1x4s. And it’s perfectly fine. They said the EZ Pad is not gonna be very effective for where I needed it to go. The installation went really smoothly. The electrical charges are a little bit higher than what I was anticipating, but not much. We got the one that has the aerator that keeps your chemicals that you have to put into the water less. That makes the electric bill a little bit more where it turns on a little more often than some of the others.
I’ve already recommended Master Spas and friends have already purchased a Master Spas based on my experience. When we were gonna purchase the spa, we had spoken with Maurice about one of those lift kits that go on the spa. He said, “I’ll just throw it in there with it.” I failed to read over the contract and I failed to see that it was not included. Since it was not included, the delivery people did not bring it out. They said for an extra $300, they could bring it out. I told them that was not what I agreed to. I called the owner of Master Spas and he said, “Well, if Maurice said that we’re gonna include it, then we’re gonna include it.” He had the guys that installed the hot tub come back out and add a lift kit. So, even though I failed to look and observe that the contract wasn’t as complete as what we originally thought we were purchasing, he honored our verbal contract. There are a lot of people that would not do that.
Master Spas is top-of-the-line. When people are being negative on saying, “Hey, they don’t get out there, they don’t deliver on time, they don’t do this, they don’t do that,” our spa was delivered exactly when we were promised that it would be delivered. They weren’t late. So, all these people that are giving all these negative reviews, they’re not being fair to Master Spas one bit.

Master Spas happened to have a sale over at one of the ball parks. I stopped, checked it out, and I liked what they had. I also liked some of the features of their big hot tub. It has the different removable jets and the price was fair. I ended up buying that and they had a really good salesman. He was out of Wisconsin and he worked directly for Master Spas. We've had the tub up and running for about two months now and so far, it's not too bad. But we had a couple of problems with the pulse I had to purchase. And we now have our second control panel going out.

We had an 8 foot x 8 foot Master Spas that started leaking, and it was gonna cost too much to repair it. Instead, we went to a spa show and the reps were great. We saw a triangular spa that had LED lighting, which our old one didn’t have. It also took up less space, but it was a little pricey. It was 2,000 less than our 8x8 when we bought that one in a spa show. Still, we made a down payment and Master Spas held it and told us that we couldn’t get our money back. We had to either finish paying the hot tub off or lose the money. We put it on layaway and it took us two years to get a whole new spa. Now, the spa is in a little corner of my patio. It's very nice and you can fit two or three people in it. It’s just my wife and I. I like the control pad on it too. All in all, we like the spa.

We had a friend of ours that had a Master Spas previously. They have another brand now, but she said she wished she would’ve brought their other one with Master Spas. We got the Precision7 from Master Spas. It was the size that we were looking for. It has the radio and the Bluetooth feature on it. The sales team was good overall. When I asked about filling the tub with well water or if we should use our soft water, they said the well water would be fine. But I wish we would’ve used the soft water because we did have some problems after filling it initially. But I applaud the filtering system that they have because it did end up filtering out quite a bit of it, and we haven’t had any problem since. I’m pretty happy about the cost, and we like the quality of the tub. It cleans the water itself fine, but if there’s sediment in it, it doesn’t completely get that out. So, that’s what we’re gonna end up having to drain and vacuum it out.

Also, we have seen advertisements with Michael Phelps and how the spa worked. Joe was so great that we just decided to get one right then that day. Our Master Spas is going wonderful. We love it. Master Spas had an event at the fairgrounds by us and we went there. It was a scratch and dent sale and we really liked their Healthy Living hot tub, so we purchased it. The sales team did very well and so did the delivery team. We bought it on Saturday afternoon and they delivered it on Sunday morning. They also took our old one away, which was a big deal for us. But when they shipped the tub over to the house, they put the strap across one of the knobs that you turn and it cracked it. It wasn't a big deal though. I just called up then they sent it right to me and I installed it.
The tub has two loungers and we ended up getting a good deal on it. They offered $500 off right off the top then it was marked down because it had a blemish on it, which didn't matter to us. We've already owned a tub before, so it wasn't anything to us. But this one is better built than the one we had before. I also like the fact that Master Spas use composite instead of real wood on the outside. To me, it's concealed in better.
Other than that, I installed the tub myself and it was easy to install. I already have the electric and everything ran because the old tub was there, so during the installation of the new one, it took me about half an hour to re-run the electric. Then, we filled it and ran it. I also temporarily fixed the leaking thing and we used it. So far, my wife is happy with it and we like it a lot. It's a really good unit. I like the way it's built and the accessibility of everything. It's everything they said it was. I like the fact they're out of Fort Wayne, too. That makes it a lot easier for us.

Updated on 08/13/2019: To date Master Spas has not responded with a solution directly. They have however responded, apparently, to the rep in Houston, TX with the following: "It has run out of warranty. It is past the 2 year warranty that we provide for the cover. Whenever we replace something it does not reset the warranty of that product. The product continues to carry the warranty of the original product. If the customer purchases a new cover, they would also be purchasing a new warranty with it."
Hello Master Spas. I GET THAT. But you apparently did not read my review and you don't get that the cover you sent to replace the warranty cover, is defective. After one year it is tearing and this should not be happening with a "new" cover. What I was given as a replacement is garbage. The lack of response is garbage. To not respond on this website is garbage and again Master Spas has hit an all time low in customer service. You should at least acknowledge that your product used for replacement is defective. Unbelievable! Buyer beware!
Original Review: Purchased H2X spa in 7/10/2016 for therapy with severe back issues. Within two years the cover started ripping in spite of taking care not to use the handles solely for lifting, along with babying it and having a sail shade cover. Luckily we were able to just get in on the warranty last year, 2018. Now 8/5/2019 the "new" cover, just over one year old has a 4" opening on the INSIDE, where we don't even touch it. It is along the seam and it is plain that this rippage is due to it simply not being sewn properly. Now, we have contacted our rep in Spring, TX, who did contact Master spas, but Master Spas will no longer cover as we are out of the two year warranty period.
All I can say is buyer beware with Master Spas. We've had to have numerous repairs on our H2X not to mention the incredible fiasco we went through at delivery. The warranty is good, but only good if proper parts and equipment are used upon repair. Covers are over $1k for this spa and for Master Spas to not handle this issue is a very sad shame. Also, at this writing, the second ozone lite is malfunctioning....the first was replaced last year. Once again we're out of warranty for repair and the repair cost is $566.54 for labor and materials. WOW! And did I mention that a pump had to be replaced a few weeks ago due to leakage....that's the second motor replacement.
Hi Jeanette. Thanks for the honest feedback. Our customer care team here at corporate is aware of the issues mentioned and have been in contact with TX Spa Services to see what we can do to help get these issues resolved.

When we went to the Master Spas dealership to talk to them, they were very helpful in answering our questions and showed us some of the products they had there in store, and that sold us.
Twilight 7.2 fit what we were looking for in terms of seating arrangement and jets. It was a display model at the dealership from which we bought it, so we didn't have to pay any extra shipping. We just looked at it and said that was the one we wanted. We’ve had it for about three and a half months and we’re in it probably every day. I went to the dealership today and bought some additional chemicals to maintain it, so we're thoroughly enjoying it. The product is great. We're thoroughly pleased with what we purchased and we would not do anything differently if we had to do it over again.
We're so happy to hear that, James! It's great to hear that you've had such great experiences with your dealer as well as your spa. Thank you so much for the feedback!

We went to a tent sale and the reps tried to run my credit to see if I could afford a hot tub. That was when we decided to buy one. I love my seven-person hot tub and it works great. I chose the biggest one I could afford from Master Spas. It’s got two jets and three water features. However, after the second time we used the hot tub, we ended up with jets in the bottom. There’s a slip-lock mechanism and it broke but the Aqua Spa guy sent me a whole bunch of them. He said that at the shop, they get over-torqued and so, when you turn on your hot tub or lean against it, it cracks them. I just changed that thing out and my jets went up.
At first, Aqua Spa wasn’t great till I got a hold of the guy I needed, and they’ve been awesome. The hot tub wasn’t cheap but I like it and I hope it lasts for a long time. It has been very hot outside and my kids love it. My son has had a few hot tub parties and friends over. I’ve only gotten in it three times, but it has been very nice and relaxing. It’s gonna come in handy this winter.

We picked Master Spas as a manufacturer because we got a sense that all the parts were American-made and they were reputable components in the building of it. Secondly, we found out about it and I started calling some of the people. The lady and I got involved with one of their dealers in Minnesota and they told me that they had a show in San Diego. They're headquartered in Minnesota and we're in Southern California. My wife and I were in the process of considering the best spa solution and we went to the show, looked at the various models and decided that, based upon the size of our family and how we usually entertain, the one in the showroom was the most attractive.
One of the features that attracted us to the Twilight 76.5 was not only its size but that it didn’t have a bench. A lot of these have these lounge chair benches and that was a waste of space. We don’t usually lounge. We sit upright. The lounge just reduces the capacity. So rather than buy a six-person capacity with a lounge, we were better off with a five-person capacity with no lounge.
I'm still floundering around with when to clean it. But they also steered me to a guy to do an annual maintenance thing. He came out once and then that was it. He doesn’t return my calls anymore. This guy comes from a long way though. It's an all-day drive for him to get here and that’s probably why. So the local support is not very good. That would probably be the only deficiency. But the quality of the product itself is good and I would recommend it to somebody.

I haven't had the swim spa long enough to rate it but just want to express my frustration and dissatisfaction with all the staff I've dealt with from sales to service. First of all I was told that the cost to deliver the spa was included. When the moving guy called he said it wasn't. I called the salesman who sold me the unit and said that it wasn't. When the delivery guy showed he didn't have the equipment to pull in and drop the spa down so he rolled it in on PVC pipes which scratched up bottom of the unit. I called Master Spas and they said I would have to take that up with the mover, that they were independent. When we finally set it up and got it going there were some parts that were broken on the unit.
When I called to get them replaced I got the same shotty attitude like it was my fault and it's been a week since I emailed a photo of the items broken. In addition, as of today I still haven't received my steps so I called them and was told they were not included because the salesperson didn't mark it. Again, I called the same salesman and he said, "oh I figured you were building a deck or something and didn't need it." I said, "No, but even if I did you told me they were included." So I should be getting those next week. I can go on about the terrible attitudes but will do no good. Just make sure if you buy one that everything is written on the contract. Don't take their word for it! I videotaped the move but unfortunately this doesn't allow video upload.
Hi Yvette. Thank you for the honest feedback. As you mentioned in your review, the company that sold & delivered your swim spa are a separate company, so there's not much we can do on our end for that issue. I did want to let you know that I have forwarded your review as well as your swim spa's registration info on to our corporate Customer Service Supervisor. He's reviewing this situation and should be reaching out to you shortly to see how we can get these issues resolved. Again, thank you for the honest feedback. We appreciate it.

Short Story, our son is a 100% disabled Veteran. We used our savings to purchase this unit for him to the tune of over twenty two thousand dollars. Now almost 4 months later the heater element went out.... Now this weekend the pump motor went out. I feel the Quality of this unit is far from what one should expect from a $22000.00. The dealer claims it's normal for this to happen due to heat/humidity and moisture here in Florida // call me crazy but our air conditioning system that runs continuously still is functioning with its 5 year motor exposed to rain / heat and humidity. At this point I feel the manufacturer is more interested in dollars and cents than CUSTOMER SATISFACTION!!

I like the quality of Master Spas. I purchased the Clarity and the size of it was the exact, same size of the one I had, and I liked that because they had to fit it into a special opening. And the price was better than others. It was a fair price for the excellent quality you get. My hot tub is calming and relaxing. I get in it on an average of one to two times a week and sometimes more. As far as my interaction with the Master Spas team, it was very good. They were very professional and knowledgeable. Also, my experience with the delivery was very good. They had to put it under a gazebo and the guys did a great job, especially they had to go uphill, too.

My Master Spas is great. It does more than we thought it would do. It has five pumps, it seats seven to eight people and it has a lot of jets. It’s a lot more than normal. There’s a waterfall feature, and there’s lighting and you can change the lighting. It’s got lighting on the outside as well. And also, our tub has a cartridge that slides into the filter which has copper and zinc in it. Instead of having to use so much chlorine, it naturally kills bacteria. We use the tub two to three nights a week now in the summer, but in the winter or in the cooler months, we use it more. It has a whirlpool effect in one of the seats, and I have a back issue where I've had a broken back and it’s really nice to get in and relax around that. It eases my back muscles.
I decided to work with Master Spas mainly because of the salesperson that we dealt with. She was knowledgeable and amazing to work with. We spent about double what we had planned to spend. We liked the fact that it had so many jets. Their reputation seemed good, too. They’re one of the oldest spa makers in the country and I think one of the original spa makers. We love their product, but we’ve got some issues right now and I’m not as happy with the service.

Master Spas was easier to check out than the other companies. They had a big deal sale over at the fairgrounds and I liked the Twilight Series. It was over six grand so it is quite a bit and it drained my bank account, but it has helped relieve pain in my back. Also, the quality of the tub is a little high. When I talked to a customer service rep, he just referred me to the Master Spas people. So I didn't get any help from him.

Master Spas' Twilight Series had the strong, six horse power jets, and it’s a little bit smaller size through the area I had to put it. We had shopped a few dealers in town, and Aqua Spas was willing to give us a really good deal on a floor model and they were decent guys. But we had a little bit of issue with the delivery of the spa. Our corner piano got busted, and I’ve had an appointment scheduled but haven’t been able to get it fixed yet. Other than that, the delivery went pretty smooth. When I had a problem with the foot blaster jet, Aqua Spas gave me a replacement part and replaced it since it was still under warranty. We really like our spa. I use it nearly daily.

We have had our Swim spa for about 6 months. In general we are enjoying it. The swim jet is awesome. The spa is nice, but we wish the pumps were a little more powerful as the jets are somewhat weak. Unfortunately, we have also recently noticed several items in the spa that are rusting. Handles, hardware to connect accessories and rusty color around plastic components as well. We are reaching out to our local Master Spas service company. Hopefully they can replace the inferior components under our warranty and restore our spa to its like new condition. If Master Spas stands by its product for this issue we can give them a highly satisfied review.

I used to have a kind of discomfort in my muscles and now that I have used Master Spas, it has helped me a lot. I like this idea about the magnetic jets and I got the one that has only three seats on it. I used to have the pool spa for six people and it took about eight hours to warm it up. The one that I have now heats up within two and a half hours. I like this a lot. When I change the water, it doesn't take too much water either and it's very comfortable. The jets are working very well.
I paid 50% upfront and then, I wanted to finance it. They financed it interest free so I decided to pay it off. We did it within an hour while talking and filing the documents. It was delivered to the house and installed in the same day. It was very quick. I wasn't too far from them, but still, it was a distance, and they did it. They took away the old one that I had before. I wouldn't be able to remove it by myself. They were so nice. I’m extremely satisfied with Master Spas and I'm thankful for their whole crew that assisted me in purchasing the hot tub.

I order a spa at the pool spa and BBQ show in Ontario, it was about $6,300, I tried to call my salesperson Jeff. He never returned my phone calls and then he had my number block. I sent a cancellation day 3 days after I ordered it. Never heard from him and then I received a bill for $6,300 from the finance company Greensky. They paid Master Spas, then I told them Greensky to have them send the spa. Never heard from them. Now Greensky holding me responsible for the bill. Greensky said there's not responding to the phone calls either. It is a scam company.
Hi David. Thanks for reaching out about this situation. Upon receiving this review, I reached out to your dealer to find out what was going on. It seems like the main issue here is miscommunication.
Kevin mentioned that after the purchase of your spa he spoke to you at length on the phone about access to your backyard and other site preparation details. Kevin then did some research on crane companies that could help install your spa and found one that would work, but he couldn't get in contact with you after that. Shortly after this is when you sent the cancellation notice.
Kevin then later got a notice from Greensky that they were trying to charge back the money that you approved to purchase the spa. After a lot of back and forth, your dealer and Greensky agreed that your dealer would refund you $3,519 and you would be responsible for the rest since you had already signed the purchase agreement stating that there would be no refunds.
Kevin says that they have no record of you asking for your spa to be delivered after the cancellation, however he did say that he would happily make arrangement for the spa to be delivered as long as you agree to pay back or re-finance the amount that your dealer refunded.
We're very sorry to hear that you felt as if this was a "scam", but it seems like the main issue here is miscommunication. If you do still want the spa that you originally purchased, please call Kevin and he'd be happy to set up delivery for you. Thanks for your feedback.

I wish I could be one of the satisfied customers writing this review. We purchased our TS 7.2 from our salesmen Paul, who was excellent, at a Master Spa Hot Tub Expo in April 2019 and paid in full on our credit card. After 7 weeks, we reached out to Master Spa as we had not heard anything regarding the delivery. After several emails and a phone message, it was determined that delivery of our new spa by their sub-contractor would not happen until 10 1/2 weeks after purchase. The signed contract clearly states that delivery will take place in 4 to 8 weeks with a target date of 6 weeks. We have received no apologies, no explanation and no credit for the delay, not even an offer of an extra filter.
I must say that this poor experience with Master Spa has really taken the excitement out of one of the most anticipated purchases of our lives. I don’t think a little communication from Master Spa over such an expensive item is asking a lot. I see others have complained of similar issues on this site, so please don’t be surprised when it happens to you. Good Luck!

I liked how Master Spas' hot tub had plenty of jets and that it had lighting. I also liked the size of it and the fact that it holds eight people. They also had a big sale and we liked the price. Their sales team was also very accommodating at the time. However, their provider in Maryland was Hot Tubs Inc and we had a very poor interaction with them from an installation perspective. During the installation, the team was very anxious to just drop the hot tub and move along when we thought we had covered everything. We also interacted poorly with them when ordering chemicals. Despite our calls and the times when we asked for their managers, they've done things like charging us for products before they even ship it. Though Master Spas' team answered all our questions, things went downhill as Hot Tubs Inc's service has been poor and substandard. I would discourage friends from dealing with Hot Tubs Inc.

Master Spas came in and made good on a spa that a dealer took the money and ran. They're incredible and I can’t say enough good things about them. I would recommend them. But the dealer was horrid and I had the worst experience with him. I think Master Spas even shut him down. He was recommended by another friend that had good luck with him and his location was great for us, so we decided to buy from him. We got the Clarity 7 and ordered it on October. It was supposed to be delivered before Christmas but I finally got it in June and Master Spas' main factory delivered it, not them.
There were so many phone calls and so many lies from the dealer. I didn't get any help there but at least I got phone calls back when they were still open. Then when they were closing the location, my husband went up there and talked to some man. He gave us the lady's number at Master Spas and told us that they'd be the ones delivering our order. So we called that number and much to my surprise, it really did happen. My kids love the spa and I’m happy with it. Master Spas has been so good. I even called them again just to get some lessons on how to actually work the thing. Other than that, I never got the manual from the dealer. I’ve tried to download it online but I haven’t been able to use it well. I was gonna see if they’d send me some books on how to operate it, but I never got that either.

I'm recommending the Master Spas product. It’s an amazing product as spas goes. I purchased the Twilight. I saw all of their products in display on the floor and recognized that that was the best package for my location and my usage. And for the purchase, the sales reps were attentive and they were able to negotiate with me to a sale. So, it was good. Also, I had a couple of warranty claims that I needed help with that Master Spas took care of for me. I had some challenges getting to their dealer after the purchase. When I had a couple issues, they didn’t return my phone call when I called their number, but once I got a hold of them, they were excellent.
The installation was easy for the installers. Those guys were professionals. They just wheeled it in on a cart, set it up, and told me a few hints, told me to give them a call at the store if I had any questions, and then from there, we had to get the electricity to it. It’s always nice to sit around with a glass of wine in the spa and relax after a crazy day. And it’s got some great features to it, it makes it a really invigorating soak, and it’s a great place for conversation with my wife. And so, we love it.

I like the jets and the seating arrangement. I like the captain seats that are in it as they are nice and comfortable. So far, the hot tub has been good. It feels sturdy, has good quality and construction. It seems to be doing everything it has to do. It is also of a fair price for the quality - maybe a little higher with the completion but the quality seems to be a little bit better too. That was what made us go for it. I’ve recommended it to a bunch of friends.

We put a down payment on a spa. After doing so, several medical events put us in a financial bind. While the contract says the down payment is nonrefundable, we hoped to find a company that cared about and was willing to work with its customers. Nope. Not here. Sometimes life happens and a company that isn't willing to acknowledge that and help out is not a company we want to do business with. They will resell the hot tub PLUS keep our deposit, making a ton of money - while we sit buried in medical bills. Thanks Master Spa for the personal touch. We are nothing more than a sales figure to you. From someone who owns a business, let us advise you that doing business this way is no way to stay in business. Word gets around eventually and people catch on and go elsewhere. And we hope they do.
Hi Deb. Thanks for reaching out about this. I first want to make it clear that we are only the manufacturer of the hot tubs, we are not the company that you made your purchase through. Because of this, we have no control over deposit refunds.
We did reach out to your dealer about this situation though, and they said that at one point you had mentioned still wanting to purchase a spa, but at a time when things were easier financially. As stated in the contract you signed, deposits are non-refundable. However, knowing that you might potentially be interested in purchasing in the future, they let you know that your original deposit amount could be used toward any future spa purchase you made through them once the timing was right. The retailer has mentioned that they have left you messages without any response and the owner of the company has more recently emailed you regarding the situation. They'd love to hear from you.

That day came and that’s when we finally found out what was going on. Master Spas told us that Primo had gone out of business shortly after that show. We couldn't not not take the tub because we would lose all the money we had put down. Still, Master Spas said that they would keep it up and sell the tub to us which was great.
Since the installation, we've been liking our tub a lot. It has jets and a waterfall. My husband, who is a hairstylist stands on his feet all day long. We went to a closeout sale and I really wasn't gonna buy a hot tub that day. The Master Spas team was very anxious to sell spas and the price went down to where it was kinda hard to say no. The hot tub was supposedly listed for 10 which was a little high. But we got it for six out the door and that included taxes and everything. That was what pushed the deal. We got a hot tub from their Twilight Series. They call it a three-person tub but it probably is more of a two-person for us. The big thing about this particular model versus the other ones they offered was the number of jets. It has like 26 to 30 jets. It has electronic controls, LED lighting in it which is very nice, a little waterfall, and two pumps. It also has two seats that have gobs of jets for shoulder, leg, and foot massaging.
After I got the hot tub and read through the stuff, I called customer service to ask some questions and they were fantastic. So far, the hot tub has been good. But the impact is not as much as I kind of expected it to. I have chronic Lyme disease. We had a hot tub before and when and we got that one, it was an absolute godsend and made a huge difference! But with this new one, I have just been out of the habit of getting in it for so long. It's in the basement and I'm not getting in it every night like I ought to. It's probably two to three times a week at most so it hasn't made as big a difference. But spas, in general, can make a huge difference. My son threatened to quit coming to see us after the other hot tub died. But he is visiting right now and he has been in our new hot tub every night. It's making a big difference for him while he's here. I'd tell others to give Master Spas a good hard look.

When I inquired about reimbursement, since this was not an electrical error, the manager told me they do not offer any type of compensation for my loss. I would have been happy with a free bucket of chemicals!

I was concerned about too much weight on the deck but the weight fell right in line with the deck structures, so that was not an issue. The entrance to the deck kinda goes around a glass wall dining room. So, that was the biggest problem we had. We’ve also got a generator and the steps of the wiring is a little more complex than it would be if it were just a normal hookup. So, I had the firm that put the generator in do the electrical work and it worked out great.
We got it for therapeutic purposes and it’s meeting those expectations. I’m 74, I get aches and pains and so does my wife, which was the primary reason why we got it and it absolutely fills a bill. Customer service was called and they were not surprised that this happened and a no flow valve is on its way. We had a spa before and we are regretting that we traded it in with this Swim Spa. The other Spa we had for 9 years and not one problems. Now this thing is barely a year old.

Purchasing our Master Spas was nothing but an excellent experience however dealing with the company now is ridiculous! We have a 6 month old spa that has a rusting LED light under the light cover. After multiple pictures and conversation back and forth we have been told it is only 'cosmetic' and they don't warranty that! We can however order a new light and then be charged a service call to put it in after we remove most of the water that was just changed! They don't stand behind their product obviously so BUYER BEWARE!! Also not to mention that the pillows have faded horribly as well...wish I could post a picture of them both!!

We'd been looking at Master Spas for a while and we bought a three-seat spa at a show. The kid that we bought it from really knew his stuff. He knew everything about it that we asked him, and had an answer for everything. Plus the price was right for what we got. Setup was straightforward. They came, set it up and installed the cover. They were here when they said they were gonna be. The tub is low maintenance and it's easy to take care of. It stays warm and does what it's supposed to do. I use it every day and now my sciatic pain is much less. I've recommended Master Spas to a couple of people.
Thank you so much, Jack! We're so happy to hear that one of our spas has been able to help with your sciatic pain! Hydrotherapy can really do wonders when it comes to relieving pain and decreasing stress. Thank you for the kind feedback!

I recently got a Midnight Series spa from Master Spas. The people at the Minneapolis-Saint Paul location were super nice. Their rep told us why Master Spas units were built for Minnesota versus the California Spas and other types which didn't have heaters in them for the winters. I didn't quite understand putting the different chemicals so I went down to their location again to buy some. Their rep told me that I should have enough chemicals to last me through the summer. I told him I didn't so he gave them to me for free and told me that he didn't want to want to see me back until next fall. He told me that I just didn't understand and that what he gave me was what I needed. I didn't need all the other chemicals in the spa.
However, we have a fairly good sized crack on the inside of our spa cover. The rep told me to take a picture and then gave me a website to send the picture to. Despite this issue, we love the spa. It's wonderful and we were all in it on New Year's Eve. It was about 50 below and there was a wind chill. The spa has little bubbles in it which were freezing. Still, the spa never left from 104 degrees even with the cold temperature. I liked how we could sit down low in the spa so that the wind would go over us instead of up high and freezing.

Overall, the lighting and the waterfalls are nice, and the stereo is nice to have too. I had to have parts replaced. There was a recall on the fitting of the diverter valve, but it was so easy to do. Also, I'm a little disappointed on the Wi-Fi module that has been acting up, and they've ordered a new one. So, I'm hoping I have better luck with the new one. My experience with the company has been all positive so far. The customer service and the quality compared to the cost of the spa are very good.

This may be a good product if you manage construction projects for a living or are handy and physically able to do a lot of work yourself. I’m a disabled vet so needed something like this to help rehab, exercise and reduce stress. I also work full time, so managing multiple contractors to get this done was also problematic. Here’s my story...
I spent hours, more like days and weeks, researching and trying to find the right equipment to meet my needs. Even tested what I bought at the factory hours away to determine if it was right. This was useful so I’ll give an attaboy to Master Spas for this opportunity. Once I selected and paid my down payment (for what I thought was going to be a “new” Michael Phelps momentum deep swim spa), I had to start managing different contractors, getting quotes, and prepping the site. The first thing was installing the concrete pad. If this is not something you already have, be prepared to shell out a few thousand on top of what you pay for the spa. Just know ahead of time: if you don’t have the right pad, and the tub warps, the warranty is null and void.
Then I had to arrange for electric, who could only do half the job because the spa had not arrived yet. Plus, electricians don’t necessarily know what they are doing with swim spas; so select wisely who does the work. It took hours for my electrician to figure out the diagrams they gave us... Maybe that’s not Master Spas fault... Maybe, just maybe there is a better way to communicate what needs to be done. Electrician said it had already been wired up partially, so we were well on our way (why was half the work already done? Oh yeah, floor model, not new as expected). Electric hookup will also be a few thousand more depending on what your needs are.
Then I had to remove a fence (which being disabled, was not easy...but it happened, mostly with the help of my awesome family). Once the spa was delivered, ripping through my yard and my neighbor’s, not bothering to fix anything, they dropped it and left. I was on my own... Looking at the folder they gave me that said “floor model”... Wait, what? I paid how much for something they have been using on the floor? I have no idea who or what has been swimming around in my spa before me. Great, guess that’s what the chlorine is for.
Also note, if you have this delivered in winter, it may be “winterized,” which means there will be pink anti-freeze in it. The guys dropping it off said this will be no problem; just fill it up and the filters will take out the anti-freeze... Mmmm. Ok, fine... I was told to take the panels off to get the operator’s manual... Really? They put the manual inside the panels of the spa?! The screws were rusty (just how long was this spa a floor model?) and after a bunch of drilling and some choice words, I get the panels off to find the manual and some other gadgets, which I have no idea the purpose of, nor can I find any reference to in any manuals. (Hope there is a YouTube video to tell me what to do).
So according to the incredibly hard to understand and cryptic operator’s manual, I determine that I need to fill the spa before the electricians finish the job so we can test it to make sure everything works. I do, and then they come back so I can give them another grand $... Awesome! We “test it”... Nobody really knows how anything works so we push random buttons, I see whirring and bubbles so we declare “good to go, baby.”
Now the chemicals... Assuming I get the levels right and don’t poison myself - my guess is this will be all worth it... Time will tell. So what is the lesson here? Understand that the company is going to sell you this tub and drop it in your yard. Every other detail, (concrete, electric, prepping the site for delivery, fixing the site after delivery, setting up the spa with water and chemicals, bleeding the lines for air should that be a problem) is on you. If you’re up for it and physically able, or have the time to hire and manage contractors, then go for it; but don’t expect a whole lot of help from the company you just shelled out your hard earned money to.

I had a great experience with Brent and this hot tub; no pressure to buy it. My problem was the delivery. Rodney said gate width area was 38" brick to brick which is not correct as it is 40". I removed gate & hinges and put blankets on the walls. I watched as my spa was slid off the back of the trailer and then dropped onto the pavement. The two guys weren't strong enough to push 1485lbs up the front of my house to the back yard. Construction workers across the street helped get the spa to side opening and left. Rod and Mike pushed the spa on a dolly with low tires and then let the spa backside drop against my brand new house sliding it leaving a scratch mark down the side of my house and stucco window frames.
There was 6" on both sides of the spa but the two weren't strong enough to push and move the tub. I asked why they didn't have more people and they said, "Ma'am this is all you got." I am inserting pictures. I have left messages with Kevin in MN but no return calls. Rodney claims I said I accept damages. I did to the hot tub, NOT my brand new house. Who would say that with a brand new house? Kevin, to this day has NEVER returned my calls. No one has called to answer my questions or even apologize for what happened. I haven't even had a chance to enjoy my hot tub yet. I hope it's not damaged from being dropped. I asked Rodney and he told me the pumps were bolted in and I was told I have a 5 year warranty.

However, I have a problem with the minimum water line. It says it's a 4-person hot tub but then if we fit four people in it, that displaces all the water and we have to refill it. At the time we bought it I thought that Master Spas was the most economical solution to what we were trying to achieve. But then I’m a maintenance sort of guy, and I’m disappointed with the design of the hot tub from a maintenance point of view. Where we live, it gets very cold in the winter and we have to drain our hot tub. So twice a year, I have to take the cover off, put it back on and I have to get access to the pump drain and the tub drain to drain the tub.
With my old tub, all I did was unhook one pipe and the tub would drain. And the drain for the pump was right there, easily accessible. On this hot tub, I don’t know if I even drained it properly this winter. I’m waiting till the spring. The drain plugs are in the back of the pump. You can’t get your hand in to undo the drain plugs. So the ones that I did get undone. It was a struggle. The other one, I just couldn’t get. This coming spring when we go to turn it on, I may have a frozen pump that I have to deal with. I’m also disappointed that I’m sitting all winter wondering whether I’m gonna have a major issue with my tub next year.
The face cover of my old tub came off easily. This one, the cover on the side of the tub wouldn’t go back on. There were no screws. You have to bend it or something like that to get it to sit onto the hot tub. I don’t have the room to do that. My old tub also has a cedar siding. I undid two screws and it lifted off. It was set into my deck. So, the only way I can get it off is lift it straight up. Master Spas just have guides down the side that you have to bend to slide it in. It just doesn’t work. It's a very poor design. For a couple of bucks, they could’ve put levers on that space panel that would’ve allowed me to undo it, pull it off, and no issue at all. So I was forced to cut the edge of the front panel off to try to get it to slide in. That also didn’t even work because the channels are so tight against it.
So the next thing I’ve done is cut the channels back so that I can lay it flat against the hot tub. But it’s not secured. So from that perspective I’m extremely disappointed. They are building these things everyday and sending them all over North America and Canada. And if it’s going to Canada, you gotta be able to drain it easily, comfortably in five minutes, not spend an hour fighting with hoses and tubes. When I was setting it up, I was also disappointed and the dealer didn’t send anybody out to do it for me. They just brought it out, dropped it on the pad and left. It was up to me or my electrician to do it.
I sent an email to the dealer and asked them to pass it on the hot tub people. Nobody has ever come back to me.I may be fighting with my dealer in the spring over this. But as far as sitting in it in the summertime, it’s lovely and very nice. But if my next-door neighbor was looking for hot tub, I would say to check on the installation and the maintenance. And I wouldn’t recommend Master Spas to anybody in our situation.

We're very pleased with Master Spas. We got a Twilight and it's a very nice hot tub. We went to the showroom and looked at the tubs, and it was the one we liked. We were also looking for a very small spa. We had a very small place to put it. And the Twilight is kind of a triangle-shaped spa and it suited our needs. It's got the LED lights, the waterfall and the big foot blaster. We've also like the bio filter. It's got the zinc in the filter and it's very easy to maintain. Our Twilight got a really beautiful shell. And it's a really nice-looking spa in addition to the features and the jets. We had a challenging experience getting it up on a deck. It took two hours. But the installers walked us through all of the functions, the keypad and how to operate. It's simple and intuitive, though.
We couldn't be happier with our new hot tub. After we bought it, we did a lot of research and then started seeing all the reviews. We walked in to look at a spa, and we walked out with this thing. It was sight unseen because they didn't have the actual spa at the location they're at. So, the next day, we drove down to their other location and physically saw it, and we've been very pleased with it. All the reviews for Master Spas have been positive. And the one review that was bad is more about the dealer than the actual spa. We watched videos of the factory tours, and we're very impressed with what appears to be really high quality. We feel like if we were gonna put some money into one, we wanted one that's gonna last, and we think this is gonna be the one. We felt really good after we bought it. We went into this with a $5,000 budget, and our Twilight was eight. So, it was more than what we wanted to spend. But after having an experience with a spa of lesser quality in the past, my wife and I both knew and looking at this one and the features and the jets, it's an upgraded spa. It feels like it's more of a high-end.
That's great to hear, Peter! We really appreciate your kind feedback - and we're so thrilled to hear that you and your wife are enjoying your spa so much! Happy hot-tubbing!

I really like the look of it and the one seat for my back and my shoulders and the lounge is comfortable too. There is one issue I had with it, though. We went to a location that has been recommended to us and they happen to carry Master Spas. We had to wait for the hot tub but that was fine. We expected that, and it has the colors and interior and the exterior that we wanted. The Twilight has colored lights, a little waterfall, and lots of jets. We are happy with it other than the outside where it’s housed, there’s a couple panels and we're still waiting for them to come over and look at them. The panels seemed to be cut short, so in the cold they're shrinking and they popped out. Our hot tub's cost was way too much, but you pay what you get. And it’s been awesome for my arthritis. Also, my husband has bad knees, and it’s helped his knees and his shoulders. That’s what we were looking for.

The spa also is a couple of inches deeper than pretty much everybody else, and we’re fairly tall. We really enjoy it. It pretty much still gets used at least once every night. I would definitely recommend it.

This is my first hot tub and that's why I was doing a lot of shopping and research. I had a list of what I wanted and didn’t want, and Master Spas was able to line it all up. When I went into the showroom, I said I want a lot of space, like for a family of four. So right away, they showed me one that was nice and spacious. The person in the showroom knew his product and they had the right product for me. Some of those that I looked at were either just online or if I went into the showroom, they had a couple of models there but not the ones I wanted. I needed to see the one I was buying. The model I got was actually not on the floor. It was out in the back but they were able to show it to me.
The two people I dealt with were great too. There was someone working at the desk and when I went in there during the weekend, she answered some general questions. She asked how urgently I wanted it or whether I kicking tires, and I said no. I was looking to make a purchase within the next week because I had done my research. Then the manager came out, asked me some more questions and showed me the right one. It took about an hour from start to finish.
The delivery from Master Spa was also fast, which was what they promised to do. It was fantastic. The guys dropped the spa and there was no problem. It would’ve been better to know a little bit more about the electrical hook-ups and the startup though. They’re selling the hot tub but it's up to the homeowner to have the electrical and it’s a big part of the installation. They could have even recommended a contractor. So Master Spas could have done a better job with that. But it wasn’t too bad. I was able to get someone over to my house, run the wire ahead of time and get it hooked up.
Now, we pretty much use the hot tub every other day. It's four times a week with, usually, at least two of us in it. I’ve got my wife and two kids. Sometimes, my teenager goes in by himself or with friends. It’s relaxing. Besides the health benefits, it’s good for stress and also just for fun, hanging out and having a couple of drinks. On the weekends especially, it’s good to chill out in there. We’ve had friends and family over already too, especially over Christmas. I’ve also already recommended Master Spas.

We got a spa from Master Spas to replace an Elite Spa that we had that we purchased in 2006. I like this new one better. I like the pump system and the filtration system. I like that we don't have a lounger because it was kind of a useless thing for us. I like the lights, and it's very quiet. But there could be more programs for the lights. I purchased the spa at Bluewater Pools in Windsor. The salesperson was very helpful, and I had a good experience with them. The installation was a snap. They took the old one out and put the new one in. I hooked up the electrical, filled it up, and we are up and running in about three hours. I also bought a second filter. So, monthly, we swap them out and then put the filter and clean it with a TSP solution. So, that way, the spa is not down for any length of time.

There was an exposition in our area and Master Spas had good salesmen there. Compared to other companies, the Master Spas tub are $1,000 or $2,000 lower. Their team was good as well and they delivered when they said they would. Everything was as it was presented to us. However, I had no idea that I couldn't get the parts in Canada. Had I known that, I may have chosen a different person. I'm rather disappointed because the products are expensive enough but then UPS fines me with a giant brokerage fee. The products I ordered was $200 US and I'm paying in Canadian dollars then adding $75 worth of brokerage fees plus GST. What should have been a $200 order became $400 very quickly. It was a complete surprise that I'm paying about 40% more for the products that I ordered than I had anticipated paying.
UPS said there's nothing Master Spas can do but that they have control of the package. Unless, I feel like traveling an hour and a half in the opposite direction to go clear it myself and then go to UPS' warehouse. That was the first time that I've had to order and I would like to continue to order parts from Master Spas, but if I can source them elsewhere then I will because I don't wanna get hit with a $60 brokerage fee plus taxes. Master Spas should really consider choosing a reputable dealer that can allow Canadians purchasing for the parts and services without giving huge money to UPS. Other than that, I'm quite happy with the overall quality of my Clarity Spa. The water is nicer and I like the EcoPur filters too. The spa has great impact in my life.

I was very taken with this spa when I first saw it and when I talked to the guy who was trying to sell it to us, I liked what he had to say. I also liked the pricing of it. Everything worked out. We were hoping that it would also all work out fine in the future and so it did. I'm very happy with it. First of all, the jets are amazing. We were used to a very old spa where it was basically like sitting in warm soup. Now, we’re sitting in a spa that, if you’re not holding on, will blow you out of it. The jets are incredible. That’s really cool. The second thing is that I like the layout of the spa. We picked the layout but it’s a great spa for us because the layout is perfect for us. Thirdly, I’m amazed with how it keeps itself clean with me actually doing very little to it. I put a little bit of chlorine cups in a floater that floats around the hot tub and I basically do nothing else. It takes care of itself. It’s amazing. It's the best hot tub we’ve ever owned.
We’d love to use the hot tub more. But this is in a second property so we’re only using it once every couple of weeks in the wintertime and probably weekly in the summertime. It's not nearly often enough that we use it. The installation had been simple too. I had the spa delivered and it was installed the same day. There were no problems. I can’t say enough about Master Spas and how they looked after the spa's quality. The service was excellent. I would tell others to do it and make the purchase.

I’m a proud owner of an expensive piece of junk that no longer runs! We own a MasterSpa that was purchased less than a year ago (April 2018) in Central Texas. We live in Austin, TX. First time we had issues with the spa it took THREE MONTHS for the repair to happen after repeated calls to local dealer AND the headquarters in Fort Wayne, IN. It was brand new and LED lights were not working. It’s now January 2019. The spa started shooting water everywhere from the foot blaster control knob and after a few minutes the spa stopped working. It no longer operates, it does not turn on. Every time I call to schedule a repair I’m told that someone will call me back but no one ever does. DO NOT BUY a MasterSpa because if ANYTHING goes wrong with it there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I bought the Balance 7 from Master Spas. It's the Clarity Spa and it has 38 jets. I chose it for the size, considering the space that I have on my backyard. It also fits six people and I have a family with four so it fits more than enough. It’s one more thing for us to keep the kids outside the house. They want to play video games so we would go to the hot tub and have some fun. It’s a good time for the family. But it was not cheap. It was more than $10,000. The people we dealt with there were very good though. Then the thing we really like the most with the hot tub is the filter. It can clean the water. The EcoPur Charge Water Purification System is a good one.

Purchasing from Master Spas was convenient. They had a sale going on at the fair grounds so it made it super-easy to go down there instead of all the way out a little farther to where their actual showroom is. The Master Spas team was very patient ‘cause my husband and I were discussing whether or not we really wanted to spend money since it was very expensive compared to what we had before. We wanted to make sure what we were purchasing was what we really wanted and we were also debating between a number of different units. They were very informative as well. They were really helpful on explaining the differences between the three that we were looking at, and that really helped us determine where we were gonna spend our money.
We used to have a soft tub that had 4 jets, had no seats, and looked like a round circle pool. Our new hot tub is phenomenal compared to that and it's completely different. It is a three-seater and it has a lounge and two seats. It also has 30 jets and is super comfortable to sit in. We use it numerous times a week. I love it ‘cause it’s very therapeutic. After I get home from the gym, it really helps if I'm a little sore. Literally, we find that we’re not spending as much time as well. The jets come on for 15 minutes and when it shuts off, we’re done. I feel like a wet noodle. Whereas with the soft tub, I would spend sometimes a half an hour to 45 minutes in there trying to get loosened up. So, the Master Spas tub has really helped my husband and I.
We're so happy to hear that you and your husband are enjoying your spa, Katie! Thank you so much for the feedback - we appreciate it!

The price was right with Master Spas and I saw a blurb on Hot Tub University that kind of gave them a good rating. I ended up purchasing their 7.5 Healthy Living hot tub and it was a good deal. It has 48 massaging jets and bucket seats, and so far, I’ve detected a little electrical flare going on. It’s brief and once that odor kind of gets out there, it hangs around for a little bit. I’ve experienced that twice but I’m not sure if that’s an issue with the hot tub. Other than that, their reps would do anything during the sale. But when it came to their aftersales, their team needs to get schooled.
On delivery day, I was supposed to get my hot tub delivered on the 18th but I got no word from them the day before or anything to confirm that they were gonna be delivering it. So I had to call them and they got back with me saying that they were tied up and would bring it later. And they did but they brought it almost at dark-thirty. Then, since I was a new hot tub owner, I called them about my filter that worked for 24 hours straight for about a week. And they just told me to read the manual. But the manual is jacked up and you have to be a programmer to understand it. In the end, I figured it out. Still, I wasn’t too pleased with their aftermarket care.
I used to work for Ford Motor Company and half of our problems was due to dealerships that didn’t deal with the customer properly after they sold them the vehicle. And I would have liked to see Master Spas give me a day's notice and confirm the appointment when they were delivering my hot tub. They should've let me know that it was happening and they should've done some follow-up. They should've also called me back in a couple of days to see how everything was going after they learned that I was a new hot tub owner.

We bought one of the big 8-foot spas. It’s a little larger than what I want, but I got a great deal on it so it fits all my needs. Our Master Spa defeats all our previous providers. I went to a dealer and got some chemicals as well. Overall, things have been great from the guy delivering it, setting it up, the information, to any time I got a question to be answered. The delivery time was a lot longer than what I anticipated. From when it had to be manufactured and when it was gonna be delivered, there was a lot of time. There was a lot of rain.

The quality is fine enough. We use it once a week, and it’s very popular when the kids come home.

A couple years back, the mall near my house, Ocean County Mall, used to have a hot tub tent sale outside. I looked one year to try and get a rough idea of the pricing and the guy that was there gave me his card. A couple years went by and when there was another sale, I decided to go again. This one happened to be Master Spas and their products looked really nice. Their rep gave me the card and I held onto it. Master Spas looked decent, too, so when I was in the market for it, I looked into them.
Originally, I inquired about the cost because their website didn’t have prices. I emailed them because they had a connect-to-us link then somebody ended up calling me. I liked the HL 7.5 because of the number of people it sat and I told her that I was looking for pricing on that. I also asked if it comes with stairs and a cover. She was very helpful and we were trading emails back and forth. She told me that she happened to have a floor model and they were looking to get rid of it. She also said she could give me x amount off and when I asked her about the color, she said it happened to have a grey exterior with a light grey interior. With that, I thought the heavens have aligned because that was exactly what I was looking for. So, I ended up ordering it and they were really good about it. I paid by credit card and they were able to process the transaction.
I bought the hot tub in May and at the time, I told Master Spas that I wasn't ready for it yet. I was planning on trying to build a deck in my back yard but that crashed and burned. It was a disaster, so I ended up going concrete which I didn’t get done until the end of October. So Master Spas stored the hot tub for me. They would also periodically call asking if I was ready for the hot tub and they were very understanding. When time came, I finally called them and they got their guys out within two weeks because I had to wait for an electrician. So, they were good. And when they came out, they dropped it where I needed them to do it and it was perfect.
They said that the hot tub sits seven but so far, I've had as many as three adults and two children in it. The corners are for an adult, especially if you’re a fuller-sized person, and the seats in between are kind of tiny. But in reality, you really could fit seven in it though it might a little snug. Aside from that, the hot tub has lots of jets, different lights, and a little waterfall effect. It’s supposed to be good for massaging stuff and relaxing. So far, I like the quality of my hot tub. In the beginning, I was trying to master the chemicals but now I finally got it down to a science. On Saturdays, I put all the chemicals that they told me to put in there based on their little simple sheets and test it, then I'd know it's good to go. It's pretty easy. The tub is also very comfortable and very relaxing.
We're so happy to hear that, Jeffrey! Thanks for the feedback - we appreciate it! Happy hot-tubbing!

We went to a show and when the Master Spas reps figured out that we were really serious about getting their product, the manager came out and talked to us about it. He showed us some of the features, such as the insulation, that were better about this spa than some other spas that are built. Their team was really good and we were convinced that the Twilight was the best one for us. We liked the way it was built, so that's what we got.
It took my husband, Mark, a while to get the water balance but he did it on his own with the chemicals that we were given. He's been wanting to get one for a long time and he gets in it more than I do because I’m afraid of the cold right now. When it gets a little warmer, I’ll be able to get into it a little bit more. Mark likes the foot jets a lot and we love the lights on the tub. The shoulder jets are nice as well but we had to switch those out because what was on there was a little strong. So we moved the jets around a little bit, so that they don't hit so hard. There are a lot of things about the hot tub and Mark takes care of it.
We love our Master Spas hot tub. It's good looking and we get in it usually at night when we’re both finally done for the day. And I’m sure we’ll have a family member purchasing one before too long. My children built a pool and rather than building a spa into their pool, they built a place on the patio around the pool to put a hot tub.

My wife wanted a therapeutic jets as well. We had a size restriction on our lower deck and it fits. We wanted one that was 34 inches high instead of 36 or 38, which a lot of them are.
We went through the technical side of the tub. I’m a mechanical engineer, so I understand a lot of that side of it. And Master Spas' technology is so far, so good. It is top of the line, and we were looking for the features that they have. One is the lay down style as well as seats with the therapeutic jets. We wanted the ozonator, too. For all those reasons as we added everything up, it’s the one we like. And ultimately, when we got to pricing, it seemed to be reasonable for what we thought we’d end up paying. Also, the warranty is good. The coverage is very satisfactory. We’ve had our Master Spas for a month and we're in it every other day. And so far, so good.

Compared to some of the other hot tubs that I was looking at, I'm gonna have that setup. It kills some of the bacteria that was in the water. I also like the massage jets that are on it. I'm very satisfied with the spa. I get in about three to four times a week.
I've actually had to call and have somebody come out and look on it because the turn valve broke. He got on it and was really good. He found out what the part number was and got that ordered for me. And then, he told me if I had any issues that they can give me a number to the maintenance person that fixes the hot tub here in Salt Lake. The one we got from Master Spas is a great spa. It’s like a 7x7, 350 gallons-ish and it can fit five people. The place we went to go look at the spas had a couple different versions and this one looked like it was really laid out well. It’s comfortable because the jets are thought-out so the jets actually hit you where you sit. My wife and I sat down in it and I thought it actually made sense. We had a spa before this but we never used it because A, it was a pain to maintain and B, when you sit in it, okay, you have hot water and there’s water moving around but the jets weren’t really good. These jets on the Master Spas one hit you really nicely and they’re adjustable enough that you can actually feel like you get some relief from them. Aside from the three different jets on it, it has color-changing LEDs too.
In retrospect, I guess we made a good decision because it’s the same size as my old hot tub but it has less gallons of water. The difference is that the interior of this hot tub is a little bit smaller but there’s so much more insulation. It maintains temperature really well. This thing is also so quiet that I can actually hear my outdoor radio playing instead of having a radio in the hot tub. With the old thing, you’d have to crank the radio up in the hot tub just so you can feel the music, instead of experiencing the music.

We wanted to get one for a while, and when we determined that we were in the market for one, we wanted to make sure we got one locally. We got a seven and a half footer and it's been perfect for us. It has the jets and some of the extra water feature, and then the LED lights as well.
They were great during the sales process. It was Labor Day weekend, where they were doing one of their sales, direct from them without a dealer in the middle, and no pressure and they answered all of our questions. They did bring the one out that we purchased, and there was a little issue and they took care of it immediately. It's incredibly easy to get hold of somebody. We love the tub. They sent literature on how to replace it. When I took off the cover I found that the plastic threads on both the top cap and the bottom part connected to the hot tub were broken which is why it was leaking.
Another call to the service dept and they sent me a new part but said they would not cover the labor to repair it. During a $99 service call by the repairman they suggested he said it would be $800 - $1,500 in labor to repair it because the hoses all the way back to the pump and to the separator that pushes water to each jet all need to be replaced because they are all permanently glued together. I’m stuck with either a dead hot tub or a huge repair bill.

We bought a Twilight tub from Master Spas and so far, I’m satisfied with the quality. The tub is kind of a pie-shaped one and three people fit in it. I like the layout of the jets and the amount of jets that it has. And I also liked the cost. We got it through a sale on one spa convention center here locally. It has the circulating pump on it and it has LED lights on the three corners. I contacted them for the larger jets in the bottom for the foot massage part of it. When it went through manufacturing, they put the wrong jet in it, so Master Spas sent me the proper jet that was supposed to go in there so that I can turn it on and off and regulate the pressure on it. Before, it was just blasting full blast, and we’d have no control.
I like that the panel for the controls are easy to understand. The spa I had before had a much smaller panel and it was kind of difficult to figure out what was what on it. This one is a little bit bigger, and it’s much easier to set it up. It is also nice that when you’re in the spa, you can almost flip the screen so that when you’re in it, you can see it. And if you’re standing up and you look down on it, you can flip it around the way you look at it the right way.
With my other one, when you look at it if you were outside the spa, everything was upside-down. One had to actually be in it to read it. On this one, you just hit a button and it flips it 180 degrees so you can see it. It’s a much better hot tub than the first one I had. The first one I bought was a used one, and it was helping but I wish it had more jets. I use the tub at least once a week and it definitely helps a lot. I can be sore while I get in it, and when I get out, I don't feel sore.

We have a Healthy Living tub from Master Spas. We went to an expo that I thought was actually going to be a group of vendors with different brands of spas that we could go shop all in one spot. I found out that it was just one vendor and one manufacturer. But I was impressed with what we saw as far as the product and the demos that they had there at the expo. And we bought one of the models that was on display there. In the past, I’ve had Sundance Spas, and I was very impressed with the quality and the manufacturer of that, and Master Spas is probably the closest product I’ve seen to what I consider those to be constructed out of.
The therapeutic jets on our hot tub are great. I like the minimalistic chemical side of it as far the mineral filter. In getting it set up, I had to open up all the mechanical stuff and try and figure out what was going on and overall, the construction is good. I was a little disappointed that a lot of the material, framing-wise, are not, treated lumber in any way. They’re just untreated pine. Also, it is supposed to have a Bluetooth speaker system on the tub, and nobody has been able to figure out, service, or come out and repair it. On my last call to the local supplier, they were too busy delivering tubs to get mine fixed, so I have now had that tub for close to two months, and I still have no audio capabilities with it.
The local company here is very interested in selling the products but not in servicing them. Audio doesn't really affect the operation of the spa, but it’s a feature I paid for that I’ve not been able to use. I would love to be able to sit outside and sit in the tub, and enjoy some relaxing music. And so far, I have not been able to experience that. I would recommend others to shop a little bit to make sure that’s what they want. And because of my experience with the vendor, I would warn them that service is not a priority.

I got a good deal, and I’d tell my friends to buy one, stay on point, and get my experience for themselves.

We went to a big show that Master Spas had and we liked their Twilight hot tub. They also gave us a good price so we decided to purchase one. It's a typical hot tub and it has the jets and lights. We love it and so far, everything has been great. It is good quality and taking care of it is easy. But we didn’t realize that the ultrasonic cleaner was available and we didn’t quite understand that that was an option. I know my husband would’ve liked to have that had we realized that that was an option, but they can’t put it on after the fact. Other than that, everything else is fine. The hot tub is very enjoyable and very relaxing. My husband has some arthritis in his back and it feels really good for him. We have recommended it to friends, too.

I have a TS 7.2 hot tub from Master Spas. The local dealer gave me a great deal. Between that one and the 6.2, he pretty much made it impossible to get the smaller one. This is the third tub that we bought in the last six years. We moved around a little bit, and every time we moved we just sold them with the house. We had a Cal and Hot Springs, and this one’s the best. My wife has arthritis, so we use it for both medicinal and relaxation purposes. It makes you feel better after being in the tub, especially when it’s 20 degrees outside. It’s a good product, it’s supported well by the local folks, and I haven't had any issues with it. I’ve had one thermostat went out on one of them. They were out the next day and replaced it.

We were looking for something small because the size of our deck isn't very big. We saw Master Spas at the fair when we were there and we got the two-person hot tub from them. Their sales rep and the help we got online or on the phone were great. They were gonna come up with the chemicals that I asked about and they walked me through everything. Things worked out perfectly and the tub made the beginning of the winter a little bit nicer. It has a lot of jets and pretty much everything but the stereo on it.

I really like the appearance of the Twilight and the way it was built. This was my third hot tub. So I was well-acquainted with the industry and who is building the better tubs. I'm very happy with the product. It gets nice and warm on a cold winter night. I also like their maintenance person. Dan is very good. He's came down here and fixed what needed to be fixed because when I had turned the spa on, five of the jets came zooming out of their position. I wasn't really sure how to reinstall them and I let the dealership know about this stuff too. Dan and I became instant friends with the way he approached this whole mess. So kudos to him. He's Integrity Hottubs and they're probably a subcontractor. That's also who did delivery, brought the new parts and brought the new cover because the cover that was delivered had a hole punched in it.
In terms of Master Spas itself, I would definitely recommend them. But I wouldn't hire the salesperson for anything. This guy was a piece of work when all was said and done. He couldn't get his figures right and we hadn't gotten that all squared away because I was getting charged for more than what we agreed to. In the contract, he also marked the serial number down for the spa next to the one we were talking about. So I didn't get the one I actually wanted. I'm not dissatisfied with the one I had but he had promised me that there were gonna be stainless steel jets installed in the spa and there weren't. They're plastic with chrome on it.
I was really disappointed with the guy at the dealership. He's in Minot and the span of control is probably tough. However, if he's gonna do business in Texas, he needs to do business in Texas. I was really hoping he would stand up and take some positive steps to try and get this fixed. The people at the dealership said that they'd be happy to swap out the tub to give me the one I wanted but it was gonna be an additional $500 for them to pick this one up and bring the other one down.
I even took the time. I sat down three weeks after the purchase and wrote a nice letter to the owner who's in Minot, North Dakota. I sent him copies of the documents and the email transactions I had so he would see that I wasn't out there looking to cut somebody's head off. I wanted to see if he would intervene and try to get this squared away. The only complaint I have with Master Spas itself is that they really didn't do anything to put any pressure on the dealership to get this fixed. But I'm not upset with Master Spas. I am upset with the dealer in Cedar Park, Texas and I would not recommend anybody going to them. I would send somebody to the Master Spa dealer in San Antonio before I send them back to Cedar Park. But at this point, it's all water under the bridge because the hot tub I've gotten, I'm not giving it back. I'm happy with it and I've gotten used to it.

I had to call Master Spas when I was concerned about some wiring and they were very helpful. The hot tub is pretty good and the rotating massagers for your neck is pretty neat. But I've noticed that the little head pads deteriorate and they flake off into the water and clog the filters. Other than that, it's been a good experience.

Here is a email I sent them after dealing with incompetence for weeks. “My house got hit by lightning and blew out all electrical devices including my hot tub so on top of all the other out of pocket expenses Im going through I had to replace the hot tub. They promised me in the contract I signed that it would be delivered in 3 to 4 weeks. It took them two months. When they finally delivered it, they delivered the wrong color. They made me wait two more week to get new side panels in and sent a team out to swap out the gray ones with the brown ones.
They couldn’t get the brown ones to fit because they shipped the wrong size. They told me not to fill the tub again and they would fix the issue in a few days. No one got back to me. I’ve left countless text messages asking for an update and haven’t had a response for the last two days. Sent another text today saying I’m filling the tub because I use it every day after my morning workouts and I already didn’t get to soak for two months because of them and I paid a lot of money for this tub and have had nothing but frustration on top of all the added frustration I’ve been dealing with at the house because of the lightning strike.
Now I have family and friends that are coming for Thanksgiving at my house and I text atlas telling them I need this issue resolved ASAP because I don’t want the gray panels on the tub when they arrive. On top of that I still have to mount the bar on the side and place the stools underneath and I need to mount the cover lift on the tub that I bought weeks ago but still find myself manually deadlifting this 8x8 heavy cover off the ground every morning. I need someone to replay and give me an update. I don’t know why this has been such a nightmare.”
They finally came out and replaced the panels and as far as the spa goes I don’t have any complaints about it as of yet. I’m not going to say anything negative about the spa. It’s just good luck getting it when promised and getting the correct one and if they do mess up, good luck getting it resolved in a timely manner. Maybe it better in other parts of the country but here in Dallas I’ve been extremely frustrated with the service after spending so much money...
Hi Greg. We're so sorry to hear that your dealings with your retailer have been disappointing. As I'm sure you're aware, we only manufacture the spa. The company that sold you the spa (in this case Atlas) is a completely separate company from us - so when it comes to the sales and service side of things, we often don't hear about any issues until the customer reaches out themselves. With that being said, we appreciate that you provided us with your honest feedback - and we're happy to know that we were able to help get this issue resolved for you. I had a Cal Spa years ago and it was nothing but trouble. So, I got the Master Spas and it lasted me a good 10 years and then things started to get long in the tooth. The TV stopped working but that's normal and that happens on almost every tub. So, I decided it was time to upgrade rather than to invest in a lot of parts. We recently got a Twilight 6.2 from Master Spas and our new tub is better because it only holds 250 gallons. So, it's easier to take care of. I also like the continuous circulation and I like the spa cartridge that has the minerals. It's nice and it's very quiet compared to my last one.
It's the best one you can buy. The last one I had was the one they had at Camp David and that was the top-of-the-line one. But this one is good quality, if not, better installation quality. They also put it in and they took the old one out. It was an easy and painless job to get it hooked up. I hooked it up myself and it was great. It was a good experience. The reps also get right back to you and they know everything on the phone. They don't have to talk somebody else. But if you do, they'll call you right back.
Hi Mark! We're so happy to hear that you're enjoying your new spa! Thank you for your feedback, and for being such a loyal customer!

I ordered the Trainer 15D through Preferred Pools and Spas from the Lucas County Rec Expo on the 8th of September. I was told that expected delivery would be 8 weeks. The 8 weeks worked out perfect considering I had to prep the ground for delivery and take down part of my vinyl fencing. Throughout the process of preparation on my end for delivery I had talked with reps from Preferred Pools and Spas a number of times from October 11 to October 16 and everything seemed fine. They even came out to survey the delivery area. Never once mentioning a delay. I called Preferred Pools and Spas the first week in November and they told me the swim spa didn't have a serial number yet so they couldn't give me a delivery date but that other orders made around the same time were being completed so it will probably be the following week.
Imagine my frustration building up as my expected delivery date came and went. To make matters even more challenging, I have two dogs that now need extra attention so they don't run away since my vinyl fence now has two sections torn down. I tried to call Master Spas to see if I could get a better time frame from them and they told me that the guy I needed to speak with had left for the day and try to call back and talk with him. He did offer some insight to the process by explaining that there wasn't a serial number so he knew they hadn't started building it yet. He told me that it only takes a couple days to build but I should call back. I did call back on the 5th and was told they couldn't help me because I needed to have Preferred Pools and Spa call their dealer Support Rep. So of course I did that and they told me they would call me back after they got more information for me. To my surprise, no return calls.
It is now November 15th and I called Preferred Pools and Spas to get an update and once again got the runaround. The sales rep Jessica told me it should be just about finished. I asked her if she could tell me the serial number on it and she told me she didn't have it yet. Which means they haven't even started building it. So two and a half months after buying the swim spa I'm paying on the loan and they haven't even started building it. Not to mention the two open panels and fence post that will probably be down for the duration of the winter season because it's already snowing here.

I had a deposit down on an American Whirlpool. And because I wasn't happy with how my experience just getting it was going, they allowed me a lot of time to start researching. I stumbled upon Hot Tub University on the internet. He sells and services hot tubs for over 30 years and he's out of Canada. He would talk about each brand on his blog, and people would write in and ask questions.
I kept seeing over and over again that Master Spas had everything that I needed in particular. I live in New England, so installation was a huge factor for me. And so, because I needed a good therapeutic tub, I just kept seeing so many good things about Master Spas, and how they don't invest a lot in marketing. I could understand what that meant, that they put more effort into the quality of the tub, and then they were featured on How It's Made. And it was just like all the while, while I was waiting for my American Whirlpool to arrive, I was finding more and more out about Master Spas.
This guy, on his blog, ended up referring me to Crocker Sales in Woburn, Massachusetts. I spoke with them, and they advised me about the situation I was dealing with American Whirlpool. And then, what I suspected wasn't going well was not common in the industry. So, I ended up breaking up with American Whirlpool. I picked up the phone a couple hours later and ordered a Twilight 8.3 from Master Spas. Sight unseen, I just watched so many videos, that I knew that this was the best direction for me to go in. And I've owned it since October 3rd and thus far, I think I made a very good decision.
I like the jets because I have problems with my back. I like the lights, too. I'm not gonna lie. I'm a girly girl, so I really love them. Aside from the jets, the lights and the luxury of it, one of my favorite things about purchasing this hot tub, is that I have been hanging out with my kids in it. I have two 13-year olds and a nine-year-old and they're all boys. So a lot of times, at night, when I'm in it, one of them or a few of them would appear and we'd have these conversations that I don't think we would be having if we didn't have the opportunity to just shut off all the screens and hang out and talk about life. So that's been a really cool thing about it. It's made me happy and it's fulfilled the number one thing on my bucket list of life.
Hi Marcy! We're so happy to hear that you are enjoying your spa so much - and that your kids are too! It's so great to hear that using your spa has opened a door for family bonding time. We think you made a great choice with Master Spas, too! Thank you for your wonderful feedback!

The spa seems to be pretty efficient compared to the old-fashioned spas that we used to be familiar with. They make them better than they used to. The siding is more durable than they used to be with the wood. The spa looks like it's gonna hold up longer than the past ones and the electronics are good. Also, Master Spas seemed like they had good quality control in the manufacturing process. We looked at a couple of others that were far more expensive that have similar features, but the Clarity was a very fair purchase compared to the other ones.
Atlas Spa was the company that represented Master Spas, and we had a strange series of experiences. We’ve been looking at local Dallas-Fort Worth suppliers and spas and people that sell spas. But when we were looking at the them, they were so much more expensive. Atlas is out in Tyler, Texas, and it's two-and-a-half to three-hour drive away. I was a little concerned at first that they were not local in town, but they were fine. They have a location in town, so that made us feel better. They worked with subcontractors, and their recommendations for who we use for electrical went fine. The installers did a good job, and everybody was very easy to work with. It was a good experience. They had everything else that starts up, but it didn't have the starter filter that you need when you fill it the first time. It took me four trips to the the dealer to finally be able to get some stuff that I was gonna need. Nonetheless, the quality of the tub is good and it's nice to relax in it.

My wife and I have been thinking about spas for a long time because we have back problems. It is really good for relieving back pains and joint pains. We went to a show and we liked the spas from Master Spas. I'm 6'5" and I weigh 330 pounds and all the rest of the models were too small, so I got the 7-foot Clarity with the Bluetooth, the Ozonator, stereo speakers built into it, and colored lights. During installation, my electrician got the ground fault breaker wired wrong. I talked to one of the technicians over the phone and then, I sent him a picture and he spotted it right away. He was spot on! He talked me through how to do it.
The spa is gorgeous and it's big enough for me. The cost is a little more than I had expected but with the quality behind it, it justified the expense. For what we paid, we got a good deal. We just moved into a new house and we've been unpacking boxes and moving and assembling furniture. Whenever we finished at the end of the day, we're sore as hell, so we climb in the spa, and we go to sleep well. Also, my wife has rheumatoid arthritis and the spa therapeutic as hell. If anyone asks about Master Spas, I would tell them how much I enjoy this one and what all features are. And if they want to, they can come over, try it, and see if they like it.

We bought the Twilight Series model 8.3 from Master Spas. We didn't really want to spend that kind of money on a hot tub and not get a quality hot tub. I did a lot of research for close to two months before we pulled the trigger and decided to buy that one. Master Spas is the number 1 tub in Canada. If Canadians are buying them and putting them outside, I was told that the average utility bill is $23 a month. That's less than a cable bill in order to maintain the heat. That's totally affordable. A lot of other companies put a lot of money in marketing but they don't put a lot of money in their hot tubs. Master Spas, however, put a lot more emphasis on building a great product and then letting word of mouth do their advertising for them based on the quality of the product.
I was reading a lot of reviews online and listening to YouTube videos and Master Spas do basically what everybody claimed they did. We're so sold by the quality and everything that we were hearing and how happy everybody was with the product. But again, a lot of that also has to do with the dealer, and I think we chose a very reputable dealer. We bought ours out of Minnesota and I'm just fairly happy with the deal they gave us. It was a pretty good package we ordered and it ended up costing us $12,500 for everything that we wanted. At minimum, we would have spent with either Hot Springs or Sundance, close to $15,000 so we got all the bells and whistles we wanted and saved $2,500 in the process. The free delivery was also awesome.
When they delivered it and had it set up we couldn't put water in it yet because I didn't have the electrical. They tell you when you buy it that you should give a place first where you want it and then have the electrical guys come out and hook it out for you. That was what we did. We couldn't run it for probably about a week but when they came up, not only did they set it up, they were here for probably a good hour and a half, just explaining all the different features and how we wanna go about filling it up and using the chemicals. It was so cool. Any questions that we had they answered. It made us feel special and that was so cool.
The customer service was there, even down to the delivery team. One guy was a wealth of knowledge. He said he's been working for them for five years. It was neat to be able to take his brain for a while and learn all the different things that he knew about hot tubs, specifically about the Master Spas hot tub. We bought the EcoPur system, which is the three-part filtration process. It uses zinc and copper to combine together to make a chlorine, chloromide, and then it transitions into chlorine in your hot tub. What that does is it allows you to use far less chemicals. My wife's skin is very chemically sensitive so I can't go too overboard. We learned when we had the smaller hot tub that we had to really watch our chemical use because of my wife's skin sensitivity. We also wanted to be able to entertain and bring more people into the tub so we got the bigger hot tub.
We also paid for the UV light, which creates additional chlorine naturally. It runs the water across the UV light and that kills a lot of bacteria in it. We also paid for an ozone, which also puts even more chlorine in the system naturally. So there's three different systems that put a ton of chlorine into it without actually having to open up a bottle and put anything into it at all. The only chemicals that you're putting in is a tiny bit of clarifier to take care of the pumps and jets. I've got a 385-gallon hot tub and we're only putting in like half an ounce of chlorine, which is sodium chloromide everyday, and it keeps it crystal clear.
We also use the enzymes. Because of the type of hot tub that it is, which is the EcoPur system, Master Spas recommends pretty much staying with the chlorine-based system. It works well and it doesn't hurt the EcoPur system or any of the other systems that work in conjunction with that. Those are the major accessories that we wanted with regards to practicality. We also went ahead and paid to have the jets lighted in addition to the lights that already come with the hot tub in the inside. They're pretty cool. They're really bright LED lights so it kinda add a little bit of ambiance and atmosphere when you're soaking in a hot tub at night.
I noticed that although the circulation pump comes on when the therapy pumps were on, the heat doesn't come on. I called the customer service reps of Master Spas directly at the Wisconsin Division, with the manufacturer, and they told me that's a safety feature because they don't want you cooking inside your hot tub. That made sense. The heater will come on 30 seconds after the therapy pumps shut off. If you wanna take a break in between each session that you have, it will build the heat back up and then you can kick the therapy pumps back on, but of course realizing once you kick the therapy pumps back on, the heat is gonna go off. Their customer service team is fantastic. They pretty much answered every question I've had. It's just a wonderful hot tub.
My wife and I suffer from a lot of body aches and the tub makes all the world of difference. My mom has Parkinson's and we've had her in the hot tub. She's been going through physical therapy to try to get more movement in her shoulders. She also hasn't been able to lift it over her head and she's in her 70's. With three sessions in the hot tub now, she's able to lift her arm higher in the air than when she was able to, going through physical therapy alone. Even my younger kids who are in their 20's, love the tub. We got a couple of neighbors that came over and they enjoyed occasional dip with us and they love it too. I highly recommend Master Spas.
I continued to shop after I saw Master Spas, to see if there was even something better out there, but I couldn't find it. There were a couple of other spas out there, but it just didn't have all the bells and whistles that Master Spas had. They didn't have the quality components like the Balboa, the internal brain that controls all the systems. They have the high-dollar jets. They also got a website saying, "You got a tear or rip on your headrest, only $25 per headrest." Just pop the darn thing out, order a new one, pop the new one in and you're good to go. A lot of the components, I don't have to worry about, like the UV light. I have to replace that every 18 months. I might need to have somebody walk me through things I've never done before, but I'm sure all I got to do is call Master Spas and they're gonna walk me right through it.

One time, we went to a show at the Providence Convention Center. There I got a Health Series from Master Spas. The rep suggested that it would be better to go with the top-of-the-line of that series. The one I got has 30 jets, a water fountain and a 240-watt cover. However, I'm at a point where I may have to drain the water and I need to figure out the process to do that. Their website doesn't show me that. It only shows me how to fill the spa and balance it but not how to drain it, clean it and put fresh water in. Also, it took me a while to figure out how to get the pH level to where it should be. Master Spas also never told me about the calcium in the water and how to make sure it's well-balanced. I had to find that out through a spa company in the area. So, I learned as I went.
Another thing that I had an issue with is how much electricity it uses. My electricity bill has shot up about 50 bucks. It is a 240-watt tub but then the rep told me when I purchased it that it would cost me between $16 and $20 on my electric bill. When I purchased it, one of the selling points was that it was so well-insulated that it doesn't use the energy that other hot tubs do.
Despite these issues, I'm glad that I spent extra money to get a better spa. Now that the weather is getting colder, I know that I'm going to be using it a lot. Since having the tub, it has been nice to have the kids over when we go in. It's also nice to go into it on a cool night. I have a bad back so going into a hot tub helps me out. I highly recommend Master Spas.

We purchased a Twilight Series from Master Spas. We got the waterfall and the lights in it. It was almost like the other one we bought 18 years ago, but we didn't go with the slider this time. It was also from Master Spas and its side, where you get into the mechanicals, was easier to get off. For the new tub, we dealt with one guy and then Mark, the owner, and they were great. The quality of the tub is okay so far. Master Spas is the greatest. I wouldn't go with anybody else after having it last for 18 years.

It's a three-person spa and it fits nicely underneath our deck. It has everything except the radio. It doesn't play music. But it's American made and it's great. I absolutely love it and I use it every night. I'm a disabled vet and it's helping to cut down on pain. I'd recommend it to anybody.

We purchased the Twilight Series hot tub from Master Spas since we’ve had that product before. Back then, they were having a show at Wichita Falls, so we went over there and we liked what we saw. The guy that was selling the hot tub to us was really helpful and we liked him too. So, we bought our previous tub. But when we sold the house that our previous tub was in, the people that bought the house really wanted the hot tub. So, we let it go and we had to get another one. We had a Hot Springs hot tub there too and we sold it with the house as well. So, we were without a hot tub for a long time until we got another Master Spas tub.
Our current tub is for the lupus and the therapeutic stuff. We have it for our back, neck and joints. We have some arthritis problems and it really helps. We just need the hot water and we don’t need music and the lights. Compared to the Hot Springs tub that we had before, we like the jets and the pumps in our Master Spas tub. They work really well. They have lots of power and are a lot more economical.
We were really surprised at how inexpensive our Master Spas hot tub was. Its quality is good and we love and enjoy it. But when we first got it, we had some issues. It leaked a little bit and a pump went out. But they sent a repairman right out of Odessa, which is three hours from us, and he was the nicest guy on the planet. He fixed out tub right up and it has no more problems.
The reps have always been so helpful and we appreciate that. I’ve called them a time or two and they answered every question. We’re good with our hot tub and we’ll never be without one. It is doing exactly what we wanted it to do. We would recommend Master Spas. Try them and get their hot tub. It’s the easiest thing to go to one of their shows and look at their tub, then a decision can be made right there.

We got a new one and the person we bought it from has good reviews with Master Spas as well. They also come out and service the spas. Also, the people at Master Spas were awesome and their knowledge of the tubs stood out. The quality of the tub we got is excellent and the cost is very reasonable. Our hot tub has a lounging chair, led lights, and 43 jets. Now, I have less aches and pains.

My Master Spas tub is of a triangular shape. It fits well in the space that I had. Before the purchase I looked at some of their reviews and some videos online. The choice was between them and another company and my wife liked them better. But it had not been a great experience with the store. We were there on a weekend and the manager had left early. He came back, though, and made the deal. However, when I wanted an extra filter he didn’t have the filters in stock. For the couple of time I stopped in there, he told me he would have them but he didn't. He was gonna call me but he never did so I ultimately ended up ordering one online.
I stopped by there another time during their working hours about 10:45. They’re supposed to be open from 10:00 on weekdays, to get a new EcoPur thing and bring my water in and have it tested but they were closed. The door was locked up. I haven’t been really happy with the customer service part of it on the backside. But everything has been good with the quality of the tub.
Hi Bruce. We're sorry to hear that your experience with your local dealer hasn't been ideal. Unfortunately, since we are only the manufacturer of the spas we don't have much control over dealings between the customer and their retailer. Should you need any help in the future, you can feel free to reach out to customercare@masterspas.com and they'll be happy to help you in any way they can. We had an older version of Master Spas and we loved it so I bought a newer one. I went looking online and I found the one I wanted, which was the Master Spas 700 series. We went to the show and the girl I talked to was really nice. However, she told us that all the pumps were on one side of the hot tub but they were not. They’re on three different sides of the hot tub, so it makes a difference as far as trying to maintain or repair the tub. The tub is going to our gazebo so we specifically asked her if all the pumps are on one side and because they are not we gotta be able to pull all the panels off the three quarters of the tub to get to them.
The only issue I’ve had with the new Master Spas since we got it was that if you try to restart the second pump, it would make a lot of noise and shut off. If I run it once or twice, it’s generally okay. But if I try to run it any more than that, it just won’t run low or high. But other than that, we really like the tub. The LED lights are great. The tub also has lots of jets and I love it. Everything works well. Primarily, I use it because I’ve had back and neck pain and problems since I was in a car accident four years ago. The original Master Spas also saved my neck and back after that accident. It’s the only way I could function and go to work. The guys that delivered it and the other people I talked to when I bought it, were also great.

I looked at a couple of tubs at the factory outlets in Castle Rock. They sell the same spas that were in a Master Spas show in Denver, but they were about $2,000 less at the show. I was glad I went and looked at them ahead of things because I saw what kind of deal I was getting into. The presentation of the tub at the show was good and I’m happy with it. The guy was very informative or else I wouldn’t have bought it on the first show since my other one was leaking from the conduit underneath. I tried fixing it myself, but I just gave up on it and wound up selling it.
I purchased a Twilight Series 240 for its price because I would be the only one that would use the tub. I have spina bifida when I was born, which I didn't know, and I got in an accident years ago that aggravated my back. So, the tub was therapeutic for it. When the tub was delivered to my home, I had to drill a hole inside of it for the power. But when I went to put the panel back on, the board itself was a little off. It wasn’t cut straight. I explained the issue to Master Spas a couple of times and I had a hard time because I always had to leave a message. But, everything was fine as soon as they got some new border pieces for the panels to slide into. It just took them a little while to get them to me.
So far, everything was all right with the tub. I had two tubs prior to getting one from Master Spas and I had my first one for eight years while the other one lasted for about 13 years. They were the older ones with the wood which faded on me and I had to restain. The Twilight spa is not real wood but the material should hold up a good time.

We looked at several hot tubs and we did some online looking. Based on their overall features, workmanship, recommendations, and the general opinions of people that seemed to have put comments, we decided to purchase the Michael Phelps line 800 series tub from the Southeast Wisconsin Master Spas. We also know the manager of the store pretty well, so we were able to get some good feedback from him.
We bought the spa in April but it was installed at the end of August due to the new construction we have going on. The installation was flawless. The installers were here for a little less than 45 minutes and they dropped it into place. So, we have it for a little over two months now and we really like the filtration system on it. It is really nice. Plus, it has that extra lounge chair and the control panel. We like the overall aesthetics of it and the quality is fantastic. We use it quite a bit and it makes for a good night's sleep if you use it right before bed and get relaxed. We’ve entertained a little bit as well and people really seem to enjoy it.
We’ve also got a pool and it adds a little bit of maintenance. So weekly, I clean the filters. I do the daily chlorine additions, too. And I do water monitoring if not every day, at least every other day to make sure that the water is healthy. But it doesn’t take too much. I’ve got some really good test kits that make it easy and quick. So, it takes a maximum of 10 minutes a day to maintain it. It's got all that’s needed.
But being a multi-seated spa, there are all these diverter valves where you can direct the entire flow to the seat you’re in or you can kind of back it off and split the difference between your seat and the one next to you. And the diverter valve that is for the lounger is really loud. Unless you have it 100% to the lounger or 100% to the foot jets that are in the tub, it’s almost like there’s a bit of cavitation or some air entrapment that occurs inside of that diverter valve at any other setting. And for lack of a better term, it rattles. Apparently, it's a common and known issue. I reported it to them but nothing could be done about it. Other than that, we're terrifically satisfied with our spa.

We had talked to three relatives who have hot tubs. We were getting the pros and the cons, what to look for and what to be careful of. When we went and talked to one of the salesmen at a display show, he showed us three of the units and we got interested in them. He seemed to be very knowledgeable. He was showing us all the features and he seemed to know the hot tubs so we appreciated talking to him. He was real friendly and he didn't really pressure us. He just showed us what they had and what the prices were. And he showed us all we wanted so we were pleased with him.
They had about another hour or two before they were closing up. So the guy said he could give us a price for it. But we thought we would wait. He had mentioned in the conversation that they had sold one though. Apparently, the dealer would get a rebate when he sells two or three of them. They said they'd give us that credit. So we decided to go ahead and buy it with the understanding that it was what we were looking for, something big enough to hold five people in it. We bought the Master Spas Healthy Living 7 x 7 from Allstar Pool & Spa. It has a recliner and then four adults could sit in it. It turned out to be what we wanted.
The installation was good too. We were given a window of a couple of hours and the installers came right within that window. Then they scoured at the property and figured we live on a sort of a slope. They had to figure out where to park and how to slide the tub down here, and got it up on the air. They ran over all the instructions with my son and me, and it was good. One thing that might be good though is if there was a choice on which side the access door is placed. We live on the lake and we wanted the seating to be in a particular configuration so we could have a good view while we're sitting in the tub. But that puts the access door in an awkward spot. So if that could have been arranged, like custom done, that would have been good.
Master Spas might also do a different product that came with the tub. What came with our tub was the Rendezvous line and we switched to something else soon. I wasn't real thrilled with that. But the instructions that came with it were good. There was a little learning curve at first as far as how to keep the water clear. But I'm finally settled in to how to keep the water sparkling clean. I clean the filter, check the pH and the bromine level, and add chemicals if I need to. We'll also have to empty it soon because it's been up and running almost six months now. We're very happy with the tub. When we get in it in the evening before we go to bed, it helps relax us more. We enjoy that and we sleep better now. Our grandkids love it too. When they're out, they always beg to go in it so we enjoy sitting out there with them. It's been really good. We were pleased with the price and yet, nothing about the quality would indicate budget.

We got the Twilight 8.25 from Master Spas. This seats seven but we wanted one a little larger. It has two pumps, which we wanted. They had some show specials, and it was exactly what we were looking for. They seemed to have a process that they use for their insulation, that's blown on the walls. It is a big deal because a lot of spas and hot tubs when you spring a leak, tends to go down the wall of the spa and leak out. It could be 3, 4 feet away or it could be on the other side of the tub, and you don't really know. Master Spas has the highest grade insulation you can get to keep your tub warm, and when they have a leak, it's right in the spot where the insulation is wet. Also the cover that you get with the hot tub, is about eight inches thick. It's very well insulated and you don't lose any heat whatsoever.
The tub is very durable and it has removable panels on all four sides. One side has the pumps on it, the heating, and everything else. We had as many jets as possible that we can get and Master Spas also has the neck therapeutic jets. There's four jets on one station in the spa, that concentrate on your neck and shoulders, which are very good. We got seven course LED lighting. You could naturally focus on one set - blue, yellow, green, red, or you can make it intermittent and get them done that way.
I was home when the delivery team brought the tub off the truck and I was kind of amazed that was how they brought it into my yard to begin with. They were very careful. They also have excellent people working up there especially in Pennsylvania. The woman that answers the phone, not only answers the phone and directs it to different places but the informative information that she has is just incredible. I've had two service calls so far. The first one was really my fault because when I was filling it up, I developed a vapor or a barrier there, it's like an air block. But they were more than happy to come out. They tweaked it for me.
We had an existing patio down so we had wanted the electric underground to come off inside the hot tub rather than outside line, and that worked out very well. I was told exactly what to do -- no more than four inches above the ground and the hot tub will be placed right on top of it. That worked out very well. The tub is an expensive item, but I'm very happy with it. For what you're getting in the hot tub - what it has in it and what it does, it's right in line with the cost. Before my wife tends to have a bad back. We could jump in this hot tub at 6 or 7:00 at night and we come out feeling 10 years younger.

I had a hot tub before that was about 14 years old and the company had since gone out of business. Since Master Spas owns a number of different brands, they're fairly a significant player in the industry. We went to a trade show and got a hot tub from them which I liked the features, options and the way it was built. The previous one I had had a couple of features that I liked that aren't on this one though, but it's not a deal-breaker. It had an economy button which you could push if you're going away for a week or two, so it would lower the temperature automatically up to 55 degrees. That was just convenient and the Master Spas hot tub doesn't have that but it's not that big of a deal because I can just manually lower the temperature to 55 degrees.
Also, our old one was ceramic with a wood exterior, so it was sturdy as a rock and looked extremely well-built structurally. The current one has a synthetic PVC exterior so it's not gonna rot. But, the filter system seems a little more complicated and I'm gonna have to buy some type of proprietary filter cartridge. The cost was more money than I wanna spend too. Still, it was a reasonable value and I really love hot tubs. Master Spas has been good to deal with as well. I'm a general contractor and just coincidentally, I was doing a large project for a client. They had bought one from them so I talked to the same office to schedule the delivery for them and, like my experience, that went pretty smoothly. I would recommend Master Spas.

They were eating the inside of insulation and Master Spas was one of those that offered the other type of insulation that the bugs don't feed on and that was a deciding factor for me. The installation team got here with the unit and my electrician got here at the same time. I started filling it with water as soon as it was in place. But they didn't stay to show me everything and to see that the lights were not working. I couldn't make the lights change colors. That was my only set-back on the whole installation process. Since the installer gave me his cell phone number, I called him and told him that the lights won't change. He said, "You have to press the button repeatedly." And I said, "I did and they won't change." They sent out the service guy in two weeks and turned on the light features.

We got the Twilight hot tub from Master Spas to replace our old one which was having problems. The installation was very good and the people we bought it from set it up and gave us a training. The price was reasonable and the quality of the pool was good. We love the tub and we highly recommend it.

We purchased the Twilight 7.2, which was about the size that we wanted. It's the one with the lounger, which was the difference between the 7.1 and the 7.2. I like that because it had the jets for the calves. It was delivered and set up on time, and I got my electrician to come out and run 220 to it. Then the tub was filled up. I followed the directions in the manual for keeping the chemicals down. Everything is a-okay and has been for the last 10 months. There were plenty of reviews online and I was hoping those things wouldn't happen to me. But people online tend to leave bad reviews then people who don’t have an issue don’t leave a review. I haven't had any issues with my spa and I got exactly what I expected. The quality is great.
Master Spas compare to a few other big brands and it's good value. But I wish I had gone ahead and done the waterproof audio system where I can turn the music on and off right there and not have to get in and out of the spa. I probably saved 1,500 bucks by not doing the audio package because I was thinking I would just get a speaker. But if I could do it over, I would do that. Still, I'm happy with the spa and the kids love it. They use it all the time, especially when it was new and then throughout the summer. They were in and out between the pool and the spa.

I chose the TS 8.2 as it is the same size I wanted, and I liked that I could lay down in it. I ordered one from the spa outlet and the Master Spas team was real good. I talked to one guy and told him about a problem I was having with the outlet spa, and he said, “No problem.” I talked to him on Monday and the spa was delivered Wednesday. I have a really strange yard, but the installation went well. I've had the spa for three months and I've had to have someone come out and put in a new pump already. When I called to get it repaired, they gave me a recorded line and then I had to check on the internet to get a response. There should be a person talking to the people and not just saying, “We’ll get back to you.” Nonetheless, I love the spa. I have really bad arthritis and I'm in it everyday. I’d definitely recommend them.

I've had a good experience with Master Spas. The rep I worked with was very helpful, and showed us how to work everything and how it worked. So, I was happy. The installation went excellently, except they had the wrong spa covers for the size of the spa, and that was what the company had shipped. The installers finally had to say, “Hey, we have the wrong size in Boise. We’re gotta have to FedEx you one from the big company.” Other than that, the guys were great.
The spa I got fits on the little concrete pad I had. It has lots of jets and a place to sit. The quality seems to be very good, and it is holding up good, so far. I feel so much better since I've been using the spa. It’s nice to have, and I hop in it a couple of times a week. I follow the maintenance instructions on it. I put a little chlorine in every time I get out. And then once a week, I go through the little regimen of all the different chemicals and try to keep it balanced. I still have two of the large pulleys unable to turn to where they will allow the jets to operate. So, they’re stuck in a closed position. I need to contact the customer service but I just haven’t had the time. I like Master Spas and I’d recommend it.

We like Master Spas HL 8 and we like the price. However, the salesman told us that they would install the hot tub, and they did not. When they brought it to us that day, the delivery guy said that they don't install it. Nevertheless, the quality of the tub is great and it's relaxing. I would highly recommend it.

We’ve had a lot of spas. We’ve had Marquis and Beachcraft. But my daughter had a Master Spa in her backyard and she told me how easy the maintenance was. You wouldn't have to add a lot of bromines or chlorines. So I did some research online, called some people who actually own Master Spas and then, went out and visited the showroom. I talked to the salesperson and then decided that that was probably a good choice. I chose the LSX 700 because it was the smallest that had the most jets. We don’t party in the hot tub. It’s for therapy and I thought it had the best features.
The Marquis was a great spa and I certainly loved it. But the Master Spa is probably a better fit for me. It’s a newer one and a much nicer model, and there are a lot more features on it. I like the continuous filtration that the Marquis did not have and I like the placement of the jets better than as well. Overall, it’s a better spa. It functions as it should and everything works. The GFCI reset works. I get up every morning and I go out there for an hour with my coffee. I’m 70 and I don’t get hurt as much when I go out to the shop or in the tractor. Then when I go to bed at night, I usually go out there for another hour or so and relax, and I get a restful night's sleep. So it’s doing exactly what I intended to do, which was to take the place of medication.
It is a higher priced spa than most in the same bracket. But I didn’t to buy the cheapest one on the market either. I do believe that you get what you pay for. The additional jets and the three motors, as opposed to two or one, cost money. If you want upgrade and quality, then you’re gonna have to pay for it. So it was fairly priced. The only customer service problem is that you can’t get a hold of anybody because the moment the receptionist answers the phone, she says, “Master Spas, hold on please.” Then they put you on hold for 10 minutes. I've probably called them 20 times and eventually, I got somebody. But as far as customer service in answering their phone calls and tending to customer’s needs, they’re helpful and knowledgeable.

We heard good things about Master Spas from friends. We ended up buying the Master Spas Clarity and it has and jets. It's a quality tub and we got great price on it. I had a knee replaced and I can go out there and do my water aerobics in a warm hot tub, and I can turn the jets on and get a massage. We had a softtub prior to that, which wasn't as good. It was harder to take care of and we couldn't use it year-round. The Master Spas team was also absolutely wonderful, including the guys who delivered it here. They were very knowledgeable.

I’ve used a hot tub for about 14 years now. I can hardly get through without it. I would be in that thing in the morning for an hour and a half and then I can get through the rest of the day. But our Moen had finally broken down and we went into town with the full intention of coming home with a new tub. I purchased a Twilight Series hot tub because of the things that the salesman told us about the unit and we got the upgraded model where it’s got three motors and the spa mode. But in the beginning, we got off on the wrong foot with the salesperson. We had already paid for this whole thing when we got it but then, I was not gonna get what I was told I was supposed to be getting. There was a big discrepancy there.
I tried going to the dealer but it turned into a big runaround. I got a hold of some guy but he wouldn’t even let me go up the chain of command to get on the customer service of the company. He told me there wasn't anybody else or any other number. He said I had to deal with him and you just don't deal with people like that. I’m a retired real estate broker office owner myself and I’ve dealt with people my whole life. That guy wouldn’t have lasted 30 seconds with me. It was a sad situation. But I don’t take no for an answer when I know I’m in the right.
I followed through and pursued it until I actually found out the phone number, was able to get a hold of the home factory office and get a hold of a customer service rep that actually took care of the problem. However, Master Spas really need a better customer service phone number system in all of their advertisement in case a customer can’t get satisfaction with the individual dealer. Master Spas should make it a lot more accessible. That is where I really got frustrated and very upset with the company. It took me almost 10 days to research. I was so frustrated and upset that I had already contacted the attorney general of the State of Nevada. They were ready to assist me in getting some kind of resolution. There’s also a hot tub outfit that’s going in in my area and they sell a tub that's a lot cheaper. That’s gonna be big competition so customer satisfaction is gonna be what would help Master Spas stay in the market, in a competition.
But when I did get ahold of the main office, the person who took over really stepped up to the plate and did the job right. They did everything that they said they would do. At that point in time, I was very pleased as far as the company. They stood behind what they said. But it would have been so much easier and better had I been able to get a hold of him and not have ask to go above the person that I talked to.
As far as the tub itself, it’s been working great. It’s a good product and I’m very pleased with the quality. I use this thing everyday for my muscles and joints problem, and I really like it even better than I did the Moen. In fact, I’ll recommend this tub to anybody because it does a good job as far as performance. I like the fact that we got the upgrade on it with the number of motors and I really like the smaller motor as far as the circulation. That keeps operational cost down. The tub is actually about 150 gallons smaller than the one that we previously had. It was a little bit on the high side but now that I’ve had it and used it, it’s got a decent amount of quality to it. With what it had on it once they got it built the way it was supposed to be, I felt that the price was fairly decent.

We went to a hot tub show and after seeing the Master Spas units that looked real nice, we did some research while we were there and found out that they were highly ranked. A couple of guys helped us and the original salesperson was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and that had a lot to do with us feeling good about the purchase we were considering. I purchased a Master Spas TS 6.2 which was the right size for us and we love it. We use it almost every day. It's very reliable. So far, it just does everything it's supposed to do. We made a real good decision purchasing it. The installation was a piece of cake. The Master Spas hot tub gives my wife and I some nice, quality, alone time. And its maintenance is simple and easy, and not very time-consuming at all. You just check chemicals periodically and once a week, you add chemicals and rinse filters. My wife and I recommend Master Spas.

My wife wanted a hot tub to relax so I purchased a Master Spas Balance for her. The representative was knowledgeable and easy to deal with. But the guy that they recommended to install wanted twice as much as the guy that I had do it. All the first guy wanted to do was for me to take pictures and then give me a quote through the pictures whereas my guy came out twice. He came out once to measure and see what kind of panel I had. The second time he came out, he installed the hot tub. The guy recommended by Master Spas also asked me if I was gonna put the hot tub permanently or not because that would tell him whether he should use copper or aluminium. And that was a huge red flag for me.
The maintenance is a little more than the company explained it was gonna be though. They would try to tell you that it’s gonna be a once-a-week thing but then it would come out to be a twice-a-week thing if you really wanna keep it clean. But as long as you keep up on it, it’s fine. I clean the filter and the metal piece inside the filter once a week. Then no matter what, you've got to stay on top of the chemicals. It’s just they don’t tell you. They make it sound like it’s not very much money for the chemicals. But I've had the unit wired since the beginning of September and I've already gotten 300 and some odd dollars invested in chemicals. Still, the company I bought the hot tub from has been more than helpful. Every time I've called, somebody has answered the question for me. So far, the tub's quality is okay too. I chose it for the size of it and it’s nice. My wife uses it before bedtime and it has helped her sleep.

I've had spas for so many years but the Twilight Series 7.2 from Master Spas is very relaxing. It helps my wife with her arthritis and my daughter likes it. I’ve had Hot Springs in the past but Master Spas is better. It’s like buying a Land Cruiser and a Lexus. You get the same car except for a few interior things. The dealer had a lot to do with our decision to buy that particular model, and my research also told me Master Spas was a very good spa. I’d recommend them as well.
The unit we got has a lounge, waterfalls and lights. It seats six and it has four different massage locations. One is for the neck, the back and the legs. One is for the middle torso and then for the upper torso. Then two for the feet. So it’s got everything you could probably want in a spa. Plus the quality is excellent and the cost was fair. You do get what you pay for. Then anytime I call the company, they answer my questions. If I need anything, they send it to me. I also get emails regularly, about every four weeks, on how to do this and that.

We had a Master spa before and we liked it. So, the research I did led me towards getting a Master spa again. I got an LS900 spa. It was a factory blemish model that was on sale, so it's discounted. In addition to jets, it has lights, a sound system and a Wi-Fi module. The Wi-Fi module doesn’t work and I’ve never been able to get it work. I’ve sent a couple of e-mails, but I had just taken the time to get on the phone with a representative and try to troubleshoot it over the phone. The folks at Master Spas are good.
The overall quality of our spa is excellent. I would purchase that spa again. Its cost is appropriate. It was a good deal for what we got given that it was discounted. We use the spa regularly, and it has impacted our lives positively. I'm happy with the spa itself. The distributor here locally is sort of mediocre. They’re not super helpful. You either accept a superior quality spa with poor local customer service or you should find some other spas that maybe aren’t as good, but the customer service may be better.

We were considering a hot tub and I had done a lot of research. I research all major purchases thoroughly. However, the hot tub business is the hardest to research due to the huge negatives expressed towards all brands. I have never seen anything like it. So my wife and I went to the Springfield Mass. BIG E, to check some out. We looked at two brands. The first was pretty good. The second was Master Spas and they blew away the competition in components, pumps, controls, insulation and tub construction. The price is expensive, we purchased the Legend LSX900 mostly because I am 6' 3" and second we wanted to fit at least 6 comfortably.
We took delivery 9 months after purchase so we could get ready. I have to cut down a huge tree and build a 100 lb psi deck to handle the 500 gallons and 1200 lb. tub. We have been using it now every day for three months and it has changed our lives. Really, the health benefits, relax, BP, muscle therapy, and just plain joy has been more than I ever expected. We also bought it with the music system, 4 speakers and a sub-woofer, sounds amazing. I did find one guy who tells the truth about hot tubs after we purchased our tub, Chris Wheatley of Hot Tub University, he is the only one I listen to now. This hot tub has turned out to be one of the best purchases we have ever done.

I own an H2X trainer 15 swim spa, made by Master Spas, I have the Eco-Pur system because I was told how great a system it was. My spa is less than 2 yrs old and the Ozonator has gone out. The paperwork says that the ozonator has a 2 yr warranty, it does not stipulate between a standard ozonator and the one that's part of the Eco-Pur system but according to Master Spa the Eco-Pur system has only a1 yr warranty. This make absolutely no sense to me. The Eco-Pur system is sold as a better system. I can no longer endorse this product. So my advice do not get the spa with the Eco-Pur system.
