We liked the Clarity Spa's appearance, size and the number of jets. We were impressed that it had either two or three motors. We looked around at a sale event and then we talked to the Master Spas sales person, made our decision and he did the paperwork. The lady who scheduled the delivery was really helpful because we had the person come out to check the specs, and then we had a lot of work to do and it took us a year on our part to do it. The tub is of good quality. We use the hot tub four days a week.

    Maintenance

    Reviewed Feb. 25, 2019

At the time we bought it I thought that Master Spas was the most economical solution to what we were trying to achieve. But then I’m a maintenance sort of guy, and I’m disappointed with the design of the hot tub from a maintenance point of view. Where we live, it gets very cold in the winter and we have to drain our hot tub. So twice a year, I have to take the cover off, put it back on and I have to get access to the pump drain and the tub drain to drain the tub.

With my old tub, all I did was unhook one pipe and the tub would drain. And the drain for the pump was right there, easily accessible. On this hot tub, I don’t know if I even drained it properly this winter. I’m waiting till the spring. The drain plugs are in the back of the pump. You can’t get your hand in to undo the drain plugs. So the ones that I did get undone. It was a struggle. The other one, I just couldn’t get. This coming spring when we go to turn it on, I may have a frozen pump that I have to deal with. I’m also disappointed that I’m sitting all winter wondering whether I’m gonna have a major issue with my tub next year.

The face cover of my old tub came off easily. This one, the cover on the side of the tub wouldn’t go back on. There were no screws. You have to bend it or something like that to get it to sit onto the hot tub. I don’t have the room to do that. My old tub also has a cedar siding. I undid two screws and it lifted off. It was set into my deck. So, the only way I can get it off is lift it straight up. Master Spas just have guides down the side that you have to bend to slide it in. It just doesn’t work. It's a very poor design. For a couple of bucks, they could’ve put levers on that space panel that would’ve allowed me to undo it, pull it off, and no issue at all. So I was forced to cut the edge of the front panel off to try to get it to slide in. That also didn’t even work because the channels are so tight against it.

So the next thing I’ve done is cut the channels back so that I can lay it flat against the hot tub. But it’s not secured. So from that perspective I’m extremely disappointed. They are building these things everyday and sending them all over North America and Canada. And if it’s going to Canada, you gotta be able to drain it easily, comfortably in five minutes, not spend an hour fighting with hoses and tubes. When I was setting it up, I was also disappointed and the dealer didn’t send anybody out to do it for me. They just brought it out, dropped it on the pad and left. It was up to me or my electrician to do it.

I sent an email to the dealer and asked them to pass it on the hot tub people. Nobody has ever come back to me.I may be fighting with my dealer in the spring over this. But as far as sitting in it in the summertime, it’s lovely and very nice. But if my next-door neighbor was looking for hot tub, I would say to check on the installation and the maintenance. And I wouldn’t recommend Master Spas to anybody in our situation.

I happened to see Master Spas at a show and I liked the product and the price. They were better than what I've seen from others. I bought the Ochos hot tub from them. I like its size and electrical requirements. It also has the standard jets and lighting. I installed the tub myself and it was very easy to work with. Their team answered all my questions and took care of all my concerns. The tub is a great value for the price and I enjoy it a lot.

Their team was fantastic, good guys and were there on the ball. The quality of the hot tub has been good so far. I had a little warranty issue but it was taken care of right away. Ease of Use

    Reviewed Feb. 18, 2019

We're very pleased with Master Spas. We got a Twilight and it's a very nice hot tub. We went to the showroom and looked at the tubs, and it was the one we liked. We were also looking for a very small spa. We had a very small place to put it. And the Twilight is kind of a triangle-shaped spa and it suited our needs. It's got the LED lights, the waterfall and the big foot blaster. We've also like the bio filter. It's got the zinc in the filter and it's very easy to maintain. Our Twilight got a really beautiful shell. And it's a really nice-looking spa in addition to the features and the jets. We had a challenging experience getting it up on a deck. It took two hours. But the installers walked us through all of the functions, the keypad and how to operate. It's simple and intuitive, though.

We couldn't be happier with our new hot tub. After we bought it, we did a lot of research and then started seeing all the reviews. We walked in to look at a spa, and we walked out with this thing. It was sight unseen because they didn't have the actual spa at the location they're at. So, the next day, we drove down to their other location and physically saw it, and we've been very pleased with it. All the reviews for Master Spas have been positive. And the one review that was bad is more about the dealer than the actual spa. We watched videos of the factory tours, and we're very impressed with what appears to be really high quality. We feel like if we were gonna put some money into one, we wanted one that's gonna last, and we think this is gonna be the one. We felt really good after we bought it. We went into this with a $5,000 budget, and our Twilight was eight. So, it was more than what we wanted to spend. But after having an experience with a spa of lesser quality in the past, my wife and I both knew and looking at this one and the features and the jets, it's an upgraded spa. It feels like it's more of a high-end.

my husband and I purchased a hot tub from a show. We were told by someone claiming to be the owner of Master Spas how amazing the company was. How customer service was top notch. How they had a local warehouse in Beaverton OR etc. We did some research and didn’t find anything to be untrue. Now a year later spa is in place and a nightmare.

Just a month after owning it we started having problems. Electrical. Filtering. The cabinet. It’s all garbage. If my husband wasn’t handy the thing would be an expensive yard ornament. We have called customer service over and over. No return calls. If and when we talk to someone there’s no one local with the company to help us. We get referred out to other spa companies here. Of course that comes with a high price and horrible customer service. I wish we had never made this purchase and gone with the truly local honest retailer. BUYER BEWARE. I’m actually going to seek counsel on this due to $7k not being a small amount for a hunk of junk and no recourse to make it right if that’s even possible.

I’m in construction, I work hard, so I got the Master Spas Balance 7 tub for therapeutic purposes. Purchase went well. The salesman was very knowledgeable. I told him what I wanted, and he was able to show me what was available. Price-wise, the tub is worth it. I really like the look of it and the one seat for my back and my shoulders and the lounge is comfortable too. There is one issue I had with it, though. It says that this model is a six-man tub, but when you put four people in it, it’s overflowing and the water is over the controls. Despite that, I’d still recommend them.

We bought a Twilight from Master Spas, and we went with that model mainly because we knew it was in-stock in the warehouse. We went to a location that has been recommended to us and they happen to carry Master Spas. We had to wait for the hot tub but that was fine. We expected that, and it has the colors and interior and the exterior that we wanted. The Twilight has colored lights, a little waterfall, and lots of jets. We are happy with it other than the outside where it’s housed, there’s a couple panels and we're still waiting for them to come over and look at them. The panels seemed to be cut short, so in the cold they're shrinking and they popped out. Our hot tub's cost was way too much, but you pay what you get. And it’s been awesome for my arthritis. Also, my husband has bad knees, and it’s helped his knees and his shoulders. That’s what we were looking for.

The experience with Master Spas was great. We liked the two loungers on it and then the shoulder massage seat. But what we really loved was the really quiet recirculation pump. Also the spa has a sound system which we really probably wouldn’t have bought, except that that’s what they have in stock. We don’t use it a whole lot, but it’s still kinda nice have it there. The spa also is a couple of inches deeper than pretty much everybody else, and we’re fairly tall. We really enjoy it. It pretty much still gets used at least once every night. I would definitely recommend it.

This is my first hot tub and that's why I was doing a lot of shopping and research. I had a list of what I wanted and didn’t want, and Master Spas was able to line it all up. When I went into the showroom, I said I want a lot of space, like for a family of four. So right away, they showed me one that was nice and spacious. The person in the showroom knew his product and they had the right product for me. Some of those that I looked at were either just online or if I went into the showroom, they had a couple of models there but not the ones I wanted. I needed to see the one I was buying. The model I got was actually not on the floor. It was out in the back but they were able to show it to me.

The two people I dealt with were great too. There was someone working at the desk and when I went in there during the weekend, she answered some general questions. She asked how urgently I wanted it or whether I kicking tires, and I said no. I was looking to make a purchase within the next week because I had done my research. Then the manager came out, asked me some more questions and showed me the right one. It took about an hour from start to finish.

The delivery from Master Spa was also fast, which was what they promised to do. It was fantastic. The guys dropped the spa and there was no problem. It would’ve been better to know a little bit more about the electrical hook-ups and the startup though. They’re selling the hot tub but it's up to the homeowner to have the electrical and it’s a big part of the installation. They could have even recommended a contractor. So Master Spas could have done a better job with that. But it wasn’t too bad. I was able to get someone over to my house, run the wire ahead of time and get it hooked up.

Now, we pretty much use the hot tub every other day. It's four times a week with, usually, at least two of us in it. I’ve got my wife and two kids. Sometimes, my teenager goes in by himself or with friends. It’s relaxing. Besides the health benefits, it’s good for stress and also just for fun, hanging out and having a couple of drinks. On the weekends especially, it’s good to chill out in there. We’ve had friends and family over already too, especially over Christmas. I’ve also already recommended Master Spas.

I like that we don't have a lounger because it was kind of a useless thing for us. I like the lights, and it's very quiet. But there could be more programs for the lights. I purchased the spa at Bluewater Pools in Windsor. The salesperson was very helpful, and I had a good experience with them. The installation was a snap. They took the old one out and put the new one in. I hooked up the electrical, filled it up, and we are up and running in about three hours. I also bought a second filter. So, monthly, we swap them out and then put the filter and clean it with a TSP solution. So, that way, the spa is not down for any length of time.

There was an exposition in our area and Master Spas had good salesmen there. Compared to other companies, the Master Spas tub are $1,000 or $2,000 lower. Their team was good as well and they delivered when they said they would. Everything was as it was presented to us. However, I had no idea that I couldn't get the parts in Canada. Had I known that, I may have chosen a different person. I'm rather disappointed because the products are expensive enough but then UPS fines me with a giant brokerage fee. The products I ordered was $200 US and I'm paying in Canadian dollars then adding $75 worth of brokerage fees plus GST. What should have been a $200 order became $400 very quickly. It was a complete surprise that I'm paying about 40% more for the products that I ordered than I had anticipated paying.

UPS said there's nothing Master Spas can do but that they have control of the package. Unless, I feel like traveling an hour and a half in the opposite direction to go clear it myself and then go to UPS' warehouse. That was the first time that I've had to order and I would like to continue to order parts from Master Spas, but if I can source them elsewhere then I will because I don't wanna get hit with a $60 brokerage fee plus taxes. Master Spas should really consider choosing a reputable dealer that can allow Canadians purchasing for the parts and services without giving huge money to UPS. Other than that, I'm quite happy with the overall quality of my Clarity Spa. The water is nicer and I like the EcoPur filters too. The spa has great impact in my life.

I was very taken with this spa when I first saw it and when I talked to the guy who was trying to sell it to us, I liked what he had to say. I also liked the pricing of it. Everything worked out. We were hoping that it would also all work out fine in the future and so it did. I'm very happy with it. First of all, the jets are amazing. We were used to a very old spa where it was basically like sitting in warm soup. Now, we’re sitting in a spa that, if you’re not holding on, will blow you out of it. The jets are incredible. That’s really cool. The second thing is that I like the layout of the spa. We picked the layout but it’s a great spa for us because the layout is perfect for us. Thirdly, I’m amazed with how it keeps itself clean with me actually doing very little to it. I put a little bit of chlorine cups in a floater that floats around the hot tub and I basically do nothing else. It takes care of itself. It’s amazing. It's the best hot tub we’ve ever owned.

We’d love to use the hot tub more. But this is in a second property so we’re only using it once every couple of weeks in the wintertime and probably weekly in the summertime. It's not nearly often enough that we use it. The installation had been simple too. I had the spa delivered and it was installed the same day. There were no problems. I can’t say enough about Master Spas and how they looked after the spa's quality. The service was excellent. I would tell others to do it and make the purchase.

Purchasing from Master Spas was convenient. They had a sale going on at the fair grounds so it made it super-easy to go down there instead of all the way out a little farther to where their actual showroom is. The Master Spas team was very patient ‘cause my husband and I were discussing whether or not we really wanted to spend money since it was very expensive compared to what we had before. We wanted to make sure what we were purchasing was what we really wanted and we were also debating between a number of different units. They were very informative as well. They were really helpful on explaining the differences between the three that we were looking at, and that really helped us determine where we were gonna spend our money.

We used to have a soft tub that had 4 jets, had no seats, and looked like a round circle pool. Our new hot tub is phenomenal compared to that and it's completely different. It is a three-seater and it has a lounge and two seats. It also has 30 jets and is super comfortable to sit in. We use it numerous times a week. I love it ‘cause it’s very therapeutic. After I get home from the gym, it really helps if I'm a little sore. Literally, we find that we’re not spending as much time as well. The jets come on for 15 minutes and when it shuts off, we’re done. I feel like a wet noodle. Whereas with the soft tub, I would spend sometimes a half an hour to 45 minutes in there trying to get loosened up. So, the Master Spas tub has really helped my husband and I.

The price was right with Master Spas and I saw a blurb on Hot Tub University that kind of gave them a good rating. I ended up purchasing their 7.5 Healthy Living hot tub and it was a good deal. It has 48 massaging jets and bucket seats, and so far, I’ve detected a little electrical flare going on. It’s brief and once that odor kind of gets out there, it hangs around for a little bit. I’ve experienced that twice but I’m not sure if that’s an issue with the hot tub. Other than that, their reps would do anything during the sale. But when it came to their aftersales, their team needs to get schooled.

On delivery day, I was supposed to get my hot tub delivered on the 18th but I got no word from them the day before or anything to confirm that they were gonna be delivering it. So I had to call them and they got back with me saying that they were tied up and would bring it later. And they did but they brought it almost at dark-thirty. Then, since I was a new hot tub owner, I called them about my filter that worked for 24 hours straight for about a week. And they just told me to read the manual. But the manual is jacked up and you have to be a programmer to understand it. In the end, I figured it out. Still, I wasn’t too pleased with their aftermarket care.

I used to work for Ford Motor Company and half of our problems was due to dealerships that didn’t deal with the customer properly after they sold them the vehicle. And I would have liked to see Master Spas give me a day's notice and confirm the appointment when they were delivering my hot tub. They should've let me know that it was happening and they should've done some follow-up. They should've also called me back in a couple of days to see how everything was going after they learned that I was a new hot tub owner.

We have been looking for hot tubs. We looked at a couple different manufacturers and then went to one of Master Spas' expos in Humble, and it fit where we needed to go. We bought one of the big 8-foot spas. It’s a little larger than what I want, but I got a great deal on it so it fits all my needs. Our Master Spa defeats all our previous providers. I went to a dealer and got some chemicals as well. Overall, things have been great from the guy delivering it, setting it up, the information, to any time I got a question to be answered. The delivery time was a lot longer than what I anticipated. From when it had to be manufactured and when it was gonna be delivered, there was a lot of time. There was a lot of rain.

I would definitely recommend Master Spas. We’re really happy with our Clarity Spa. We were planning on buying a spa and we found that the price was very good, and Master Spas worked with us. In our previous house, we had a Jacuzzi brand. There is a difference in quality but we weren’t looking for something high end this time, so our Clarity Spa is perfect for what we were looking for. The quality is fine enough. We use it once a week, and it’s very popular when the kids come home.

The Master Spas team was very helpful, respectful, and really tried to accommodate us and tried to find a way to work with us. We had a lot of questions and we spent a long time there. There was one representative from Master Spas and he gave us his personal phone number. He was very good. Also, the people from David Spa Entertainment were really nice, too. We had a good experience.

A couple years back, the mall near my house, Ocean County Mall, used to have a hot tub tent sale outside. I looked one year to try and get a rough idea of the pricing and the guy that was there gave me his card. A couple years went by and when there was another sale, I decided to go again. This one happened to be Master Spas and their products looked really nice. Their rep gave me the card and I held onto it. Master Spas looked decent, too, so when I was in the market for it, I looked into them.

Originally, I inquired about the cost because their website didn’t have prices. I emailed them because they had a connect-to-us link then somebody ended up calling me. I liked the HL 7.5 because of the number of people it sat and I told her that I was looking for pricing on that. I also asked if it comes with stairs and a cover. She was very helpful and we were trading emails back and forth. She told me that she happened to have a floor model and they were looking to get rid of it. She also said she could give me x amount off and when I asked her about the color, she said it happened to have a grey exterior with a light grey interior. With that, I thought the heavens have aligned because that was exactly what I was looking for. So, I ended up ordering it and they were really good about it. I paid by credit card and they were able to process the transaction.

I bought the hot tub in May and at the time, I told Master Spas that I wasn't ready for it yet. I was planning on trying to build a deck in my back yard but that crashed and burned. It was a disaster, so I ended up going concrete which I didn’t get done until the end of October. So Master Spas stored the hot tub for me. They would also periodically call asking if I was ready for the hot tub and they were very understanding. When time came, I finally called them and they got their guys out within two weeks because I had to wait for an electrician. So, they were good. And when they came out, they dropped it where I needed them to do it and it was perfect.

They said that the hot tub sits seven but so far, I've had as many as three adults and two children in it. The corners are for an adult, especially if you’re a fuller-sized person, and the seats in between are kind of tiny. But in reality, you really could fit seven in it though it might a little snug. Aside from that, the hot tub has lots of jets, different lights, and a little waterfall effect. It’s supposed to be good for massaging stuff and relaxing. So far, I like the quality of my hot tub. In the beginning, I was trying to master the chemicals but now I finally got it down to a science. On Saturdays, I put all the chemicals that they told me to put in there based on their little simple sheets and test it, then I'd know it's good to go. It's pretty easy. The tub is also very comfortable and very relaxing.

We went to a show and when the Master Spas reps figured out that we were really serious about getting their product, the manager came out and talked to us about it. He showed us some of the features, such as the insulation, that were better about this spa than some other spas that are built. Their team was really good and we were convinced that the Twilight was the best one for us. We liked the way it was built, so that's what we got.

It took my husband, Mark, a while to get the water balance but he did it on his own with the chemicals that we were given. He's been wanting to get one for a long time and he gets in it more than I do because I’m afraid of the cold right now. When it gets a little warmer, I’ll be able to get into it a little bit more. Mark likes the foot jets a lot and we love the lights on the tub. The shoulder jets are nice as well but we had to switch those out because what was on there was a little strong. So we moved the jets around a little bit, so that they don't hit so hard. There are a lot of things about the hot tub and Mark takes care of it.

We love our Master Spas hot tub. It's good looking and we get in it usually at night when we’re both finally done for the day. And I’m sure we’ll have a family member purchasing one before too long. My children built a pool and rather than building a spa into their pool, they built a place on the patio around the pool to put a hot tub.

My wife and I like all of the features that our Master Spas has. Travis, the sales rep at the Denver Civic Center here in downtown, did a great job of explaining the kind of features and benefits of the brand. Master Spas fits everything that we wanted in a tub. My wife wanted a therapeutic jets as well. We had a size restriction on our lower deck and it fits. We wanted one that was 34 inches high instead of 36 or 38, which a lot of them are.

We went through the technical side of the tub. I’m a mechanical engineer, so I understand a lot of that side of it. And Master Spas' technology is so far, so good. It is top of the line, and we were looking for the features that they have. One is the lay down style as well as seats with the therapeutic jets. We wanted the ozonator, too. For all those reasons as we added everything up, it’s the one we like. And ultimately, when we got to pricing, it seemed to be reasonable for what we thought we’d end up paying. Also, the warranty is good. The coverage is very satisfactory. We’ve had our Master Spas for a month and we're in it every other day. And so far, so good.

I wasn't out to buy a tub but when I was talking to the salesman at the barbecue and spa thing that they had here, he explained about the Twilight Series of Master Spas. I ended up buying the 8.2 and so far it's been a really good hot tub. I like that it had the EcoPur where it got the triple filters. The other thing I liked about it is the purifier that was on it. Compared to some of the other hot tubs that I was looking at, I'm gonna have that setup. It kills some of the bacteria that was in the water. I also like the massage jets that are on it. I'm very satisfied with the spa. I get in about three to four times a week.

I've actually had to call and have somebody come out and look on it because the turn valve broke. He got on it and was really good. He found out what the part number was and got that ordered for me. And then, he told me if I had any issues that they can give me a number to the maintenance person that fixes the hot tub here in Salt Lake. I called him and he come out very promptly and fixed my problem. I was really happy with them. When I contacted my salesperson, he just told me that I wasn't the only one that had issues with those and that there was a defect in the material and that they were fixing the replacement parts for them. But other than that it's been really good. I'm really happy with the spa. I would recommend Master Spas.

The one we got from Master Spas is a great spa. It’s like a 7x7, 350 gallons-ish and it can fit five people. The place we went to go look at the spas had a couple different versions and this one looked like it was really laid out well. It’s comfortable because the jets are thought-out so the jets actually hit you where you sit. My wife and I sat down in it and I thought it actually made sense. We had a spa before this but we never used it because A, it was a pain to maintain and B, when you sit in it, okay, you have hot water and there’s water moving around but the jets weren’t really good. These jets on the Master Spas one hit you really nicely and they’re adjustable enough that you can actually feel like you get some relief from them. Aside from the three different jets on it, it has color-changing LEDs too.

In retrospect, I guess we made a good decision because it’s the same size as my old hot tub but it has less gallons of water. The difference is that the interior of this hot tub is a little bit smaller but there’s so much more insulation. It maintains temperature really well. This thing is also so quiet that I can actually hear my outdoor radio playing instead of having a radio in the hot tub. With the old thing, you’d have to crank the radio up in the hot tub just so you can feel the music, instead of experiencing the music.

They were great during the sales process. It was Labor Day weekend, where they were doing one of their sales, direct from them without a dealer in the middle, and no pressure and they answered all of our questions. They did bring the one out that we purchased, and there was a little issue and they took care of it immediately. It's incredibly easy to get hold of somebody. We love the tub. When I took off the cover I found that the plastic threads on both the top cap and the bottom part connected to the hot tub were broken which is why it was leaking.

Another call to the service dept and they sent me a new part but said they would not cover the labor to repair it. During a $99 service call by the repairman they suggested he said it would be $800 - $1,500 in labor to repair it because the hoses all the way back to the pump and to the separator that pushes water to each jet all need to be replaced because they are all permanently glued together. We bought a Twilight tub from Master Spas and so far, I’m satisfied with the quality. The tub is kind of a pie-shaped one and three people fit in it. I like the layout of the jets and the amount of jets that it has. And I also liked the cost. We got it through a sale on one spa convention center here locally. It has the circulating pump on it and it has LED lights on the three corners. I contacted them for the larger jets in the bottom for the foot massage part of it. When it went through manufacturing, they put the wrong jet in it, so Master Spas sent me the proper jet that was supposed to go in there so that I can turn it on and off and regulate the pressure on it. Before, it was just blasting full blast, and we’d have no control.

I like that the panel for the controls are easy to understand. The spa I had before had a much smaller panel and it was kind of difficult to figure out what was what on it. This one is a little bit bigger, and it’s much easier to set it up. It is also nice that when you’re in the spa, you can almost flip the screen so that when you’re in it, you can see it. And if you’re standing up and you look down on it, you can flip it around the way you look at it the right way.

With my other one, when you look at it if you were outside the spa, everything was upside-down. One had to actually be in it to read it. On this one, you just hit a button and it flips it 180 degrees so you can see it. It’s a much better hot tub than the first one I had. The first one I bought was a used one, and it was helping but I wish it had more jets. I use the tub at least once a week and it definitely helps a lot. I can be sore while I get in it, and when I get out, I don't feel sore.

We have a Healthy Living tub from Master Spas. We went to an expo that I thought was actually going to be a group of vendors with different brands of spas that we could go shop all in one spot. I found out that it was just one vendor and one manufacturer. But I was impressed with what we saw as far as the product and the demos that they had there at the expo. And we bought one of the models that was on display there. In the past, I’ve had Sundance Spas, and I was very impressed with the quality and the manufacturer of that, and Master Spas is probably the closest product I’ve seen to what I consider those to be constructed out of.

The therapeutic jets on our hot tub are great. I like the minimalistic chemical side of it as far the mineral filter. In getting it set up, I had to open up all the mechanical stuff and try and figure out what was going on and overall, the construction is good. I was a little disappointed that a lot of the material, framing-wise, are not, treated lumber in any way. They’re just untreated pine. Also, it is supposed to have a Bluetooth speaker system on the tub, and nobody has been able to figure out, service, or come out and repair it. On my last call to the local supplier, they were too busy delivering tubs to get mine fixed, so I have now had that tub for close to two months, and I still have no audio capabilities with it.

The local company here is very interested in selling the products but not in servicing them. Audio doesn't really affect the operation of the spa, but it’s a feature I paid for that I’ve not been able to use. I would love to be able to sit outside and sit in the tub, and enjoy some relaxing music. And so far, I have not been able to experience that. I would recommend others to shop a little bit to make sure that’s what they want. And because of my experience with the vendor, I would warn them that service is not a priority.

I have a TS 7.2 hot tub from Master Spas. The local dealer gave me a great deal. Between that one and the 6.2, he pretty much made it impossible to get the smaller one. This is the third tub that we bought in the last six years. We moved around a little bit, and every time we moved we just sold them with the house. We had a Cal and Hot Springs, and this one’s the best. My wife has arthritis, so we use it for both medicinal and relaxation purposes. It makes you feel better after being in the tub, especially when it’s 20 degrees outside. It’s a good product, it’s supported well by the local folks, and I haven't had any issues with it. I’ve had one thermostat went out on one of them. They were out the next day and replaced it.

We were looking for something small because the size of our deck isn't very big. We saw Master Spas at the fair when we were there and we got the two-person hot tub from them. Their sales rep and the help we got online or on the phone were great. They were gonna come up with the chemicals that I asked about and they walked me through everything. Things worked out perfectly and the tub made the beginning of the winter a little bit nicer. It has a lot of jets and pretty much everything but the stereo on it.

I really like the appearance of the Twilight and the way it was built. This was my third hot tub. So I was well-acquainted with the industry and who is building the better tubs. I'm very happy with the product. It gets nice and warm on a cold winter night. I also like their maintenance person. Dan is very good. He's came down here and fixed what needed to be fixed because when I had turned the spa on, five of the jets came zooming out of their position. I wasn't really sure how to reinstall them and I let the dealership know about this stuff too. Dan and I became instant friends with the way he approached this whole mess. So kudos to him. He's Integrity Hottubs and they're probably a subcontractor. That's also who did delivery, brought the new parts and brought the new cover because the cover that was delivered had a hole punched in it.

In terms of Master Spas itself, I would definitely recommend them. But I wouldn't hire the salesperson for anything. This guy was a piece of work when all was said and done. He couldn't get his figures right and we hadn't gotten that all squared away because I was getting charged for more than what we agreed to. In the contract, he also marked the serial number down for the spa next to the one we were talking about. So I didn't get the one I actually wanted. I'm not dissatisfied with the one I had but he had promised me that there were gonna be stainless steel jets installed in the spa and there weren't. They're plastic with chrome on it.

I was really disappointed with the guy at the dealership. He's in Minot and the span of control is probably tough. However, if he's gonna do business in Texas, he needs to do business in Texas. I was really hoping he would stand up and take some positive steps to try and get this fixed. The people at the dealership said that they'd be happy to swap out the tub to give me the one I wanted but it was gonna be an additional $500 for them to pick this one up and bring the other one down.

I even took the time. I sat down three weeks after the purchase and wrote a nice letter to the owner who's in Minot, North Dakota. I sent him copies of the documents and the email transactions I had so he would see that I wasn't out there looking to cut somebody's head off. I wanted to see if he would intervene and try to get this squared away. The only complaint I have with Master Spas itself is that they really didn't do anything to put any pressure on the dealership to get this fixed. But I'm not upset with Master Spas. I am upset with the dealer in Cedar Park, Texas and I would not recommend anybody going to them. I would send somebody to the Master Spa dealer in San Antonio before I send them back to Cedar Park. But at this point, it's all water under the bridge because the hot tub I've gotten, I'm not giving it back. I'm happy with it and I've gotten used to it.

The Master Spas rep was a good guy. He left his personal number and said if we needed any help, give him a call. I had to call Master Spas when I was concerned about some wiring and they were very helpful. The hot tub is pretty good and the rotating massagers for your neck is pretty neat. But I've noticed that the little head pads deteriorate and they flake off into the water and clog the filters. Other than that, it's been a good experience.

Here is a email I sent them after dealing with incompetence for weeks. “My house got hit by lightning and blew out all electrical devices including my hot tub so on top of all the other out of pocket expenses Im going through I had to replace the hot tub. They promised me in the contract I signed that it would be delivered in 3 to 4 weeks. It took them two months. When they finally delivered it, they delivered the wrong color. They made me wait two more week to get new side panels in and sent a team out to swap out the gray ones with the brown ones.

They couldn’t get the brown ones to fit because they shipped the wrong size. They told me not to fill the tub again and they would fix the issue in a few days. No one got back to me. I’ve left countless text messages asking for an update and haven’t had a response for the last two days. Sent another text today saying I’m filling the tub because I use it every day after my morning workouts and I already didn’t get to soak for two months because of them and I paid a lot of money for this tub and have had nothing but frustration on top of all the added frustration I’ve been dealing with at the house because of the lightning strike.

Now I have family and friends that are coming for Thanksgiving at my house and I text atlas telling them I need this issue resolved ASAP because I don’t want the gray panels on the tub when they arrive. On top of that I still have to mount the bar on the side and place the stools underneath and I need to mount the cover lift on the tub that I bought weeks ago but still find myself manually deadlifting this 8x8 heavy cover off the ground every morning. I need someone to replay and give me an update. I don’t know why this has been such a nightmare.”

They finally came out and replaced the panels and as far as the spa goes I don’t have any complaints about it as of yet. I’m not going to say anything negative about the spa. It’s just good luck getting it when promised and getting the correct one and if they do mess up, good luck getting it resolved in a timely manner. Maybe it better in other parts of the country but here in Dallas I’ve been extremely frustrated with the service after spending so much money...

Hi Greg. We're so sorry to hear that your dealings with your retailer have been disappointing. As I'm sure you're aware, we only manufacture the spa. The company that sold you the spa (in this case Atlas) is a completely separate company from us - so when it comes to the sales and service side of things, we often don't hear about any issues until the customer reaches out themselves. With that being said, we appreciate that you provided us with your honest feedback - and we're happy to know that we were able to help get this issue resolved for you. I had a Cal Spa years ago and it was nothing but trouble. So, I got the Master Spas and it lasted me a good 10 years and then things started to get long in the tooth. The TV stopped working but that's normal and that happens on almost every tub. So, I decided it was time to upgrade rather than to invest in a lot of parts. We recently got a Twilight 6.2 from Master Spas and our new tub is better because it only holds 250 gallons. So, it's easier to take care of. I also like the continuous circulation and I like the spa cartridge that has the minerals. It's nice and it's very quiet compared to my last one.

It's the best one you can buy. The last one I had was the one they had at Camp David and that was the top-of-the-line one. But this one is good quality, if not, better installation quality. They also put it in and they took the old one out. It was an easy and painless job to get it hooked up. I hooked it up myself and it was great. It was a good experience. The reps also get right back to you and they know everything on the phone. They don't have to talk somebody else. But if you do, they'll call you right back.

I ordered the Trainer 15D through Preferred Pools and Spas from the Lucas County Rec Expo on the 8th of September. I was told that expected delivery would be 8 weeks. The 8 weeks worked out perfect considering I had to prep the ground for delivery and take down part of my vinyl fencing. Throughout the process of preparation on my end for delivery I had talked with reps from Preferred Pools and Spas a number of times from October 11 to October 16 and everything seemed fine. They even came out to survey the delivery area. Never once mentioning a delay. I called Preferred Pools and Spas the first week in November and they told me the swim spa didn't have a serial number yet so they couldn't give me a delivery date but that other orders made around the same time were being completed so it will probably be the following week.

Imagine my frustration building up as my expected delivery date came and went. To make matters even more challenging, I have two dogs that now need extra attention so they don't run away since my vinyl fence now has two sections torn down. I tried to call Master Spas to see if I could get a better time frame from them and they told me that the guy I needed to speak with had left for the day and try to call back and talk with him. He did offer some insight to the process by explaining that there wasn't a serial number so he knew they hadn't started building it yet. He told me that it only takes a couple days to build but I should call back. I did call back on the 5th and was told they couldn't help me because I needed to have Preferred Pools and Spa call their dealer Support Rep. So of course I did that and they told me they would call me back after they got more information for me. To my surprise, no return calls.

It is now November 15th and I called Preferred Pools and Spas to get an update and once again got the runaround. The sales rep Jessica told me it should be just about finished. I asked her if she could tell me the serial number on it and she told me she didn't have it yet. Which means they haven't even started building it. So two and a half months after buying the swim spa I'm paying on the loan and they haven't even started building it. Not to mention the two open panels and fence post that will probably be down for the duration of the winter season because it's already snowing here.

However, we had a little conflict when it came to what they were supposed to do on the backyard as far as clearing up the spot. I also would love the price to be less. I had a deposit down on an American Whirlpool. And because I wasn't happy with how my experience just getting it was going, they allowed me a lot of time to start researching. I stumbled upon Hot Tub University on the internet. He sells and services hot tubs for over 30 years and he's out of Canada. He would talk about each brand on his blog, and people would write in and ask questions.

I kept seeing over and over again that Master Spas had everything that I needed in particular. I live in New England, so installation was a huge factor for me. And so, because I needed a good therapeutic tub, I just kept seeing so many good things about Master Spas, and how they don't invest a lot in marketing. I could understand what that meant, that they put more effort into the quality of the tub, and then they were featured on How It's Made. And it was just like all the while, while I was waiting for my American Whirlpool to arrive, I was finding more and more out about Master Spas.

This guy, on his blog, ended up referring me to Crocker Sales in Woburn, Massachusetts. I spoke with them, and they advised me about the situation I was dealing with American Whirlpool. And then, what I suspected wasn't going well was not common in the industry. So, I ended up breaking up with American Whirlpool. I picked up the phone a couple hours later and ordered a Twilight 8.3 from Master Spas. Sight unseen, I just watched so many videos, that I knew that this was the best direction for me to go in. And I've owned it since October 3rd and thus far, I think I made a very good decision.

I like the jets because I have problems with my back. I like the lights, too. I'm not gonna lie. I'm a girly girl, so I really love them. Aside from the jets, the lights and the luxury of it, one of my favorite things about purchasing this hot tub, is that I have been hanging out with my kids in it. I have two 13-year olds and a nine-year-old and they're all boys. So a lot of times, at night, when I'm in it, one of them or a few of them would appear and we'd have these conversations that I don't think we would be having if we didn't have the opportunity to just shut off all the screens and hang out and talk about life. So that's been a really cool thing about it. It's made me happy and it's fulfilled the number one thing on my bucket list of life.

We went to the hot tub blowout in Fort Worth, and we like the size and the price range of the Clarity Balance 8 Spa. Its dual motors is nice to have. It is part of the tub circulating at the time, and that’s something we didn’t even know we were gonna experience. The spa seems to be pretty efficient compared to the old-fashioned spas that we used to be familiar with. They make them better than they used to. The siding is more durable than they used to be with the wood. The spa looks like it's gonna hold up longer than the past ones and the electronics are good. Also, Master Spas seemed like they had good quality control in the manufacturing process. We looked at a couple of others that were far more expensive that have similar features, but the Clarity was a very fair purchase compared to the other ones.

Atlas Spa was the company that represented Master Spas, and we had a strange series of experiences. We’ve been looking at local Dallas-Fort Worth suppliers and spas and people that sell spas. But when we were looking at the them, they were so much more expensive. Atlas is out in Tyler, Texas, and it's two-and-a-half to three-hour drive away. I was a little concerned at first that they were not local in town, but they were fine. They have a location in town, so that made us feel better. They worked with subcontractors, and their recommendations for who we use for electrical went fine. The installers did a good job, and everybody was very easy to work with. It was a good experience. We use the spa pretty frequently. It's a nice retreat to have and spend time together and hanging out.

So, we went over to the trade show and we bought a tub. The Master Spas team was good. We had a an issue with the waterfall. It didn't seem to work the way it did on the floor. So, the guy came out and hustled a little bit, and then ripped a bunch of insulation out that he didn't replace and he said that I have to replace, which I still have to do. Then, three weeks later, it stopped working again. It splashes water all over the place. So, we're right back where we started, and I don't know if that's the nature to be, so we're gonna have to live with it. At this point, it kinda looks like it. But other than that, the tub itself is great.

My wife had some shoulder, neck and back problems, and she seemed to do a lot better since we've had our tub. We go into it five times a night at least. So, we get a bit of use out of it. We were very impressed by the owners and by the customer service of Master Spas. We also like the way that the chemical treatment and maintenance seem very easy. The other spas that we looked at didn't specifically have the neck and shoulder therapy as well.

For the most part, the team of Master Spas has just been excellent. However, we've had several issues with the cover. When the spa was delivered, they didn't have the right cover the first time. So, they reordered it. On the second delivery, it was the wrong cover again. They had to reorder it again the third time. Then the third time they came out and then they delivered it. But, my husband went out. We have the correct cover on, but my husband's a little bit disappointed because the hinge or the lever on the cover is obviously bent. Whenever we finished at the end of the day, we're sore as hell, so we climb in the spa, and we go to sleep well. Also, my wife has rheumatoid arthritis and the spa therapeutic as hell. If anyone asks about Master Spas, I would tell them how much I enjoy this one and what all features are. And if they want to, they can come over, try it, and see if they like it.

We went to a spa show and my wife liked the Healthy Living tub from Master Spas. It's got the magnetic stuff, and it has lights. However, when it was shipped, there was no free filter in there. That would have been nice to have, so I went ahead and bought one separately. They had everything else that starts up, but it didn't have the starter filter that you need when you fill it the first time. It took me four trips to the the dealer to finally be able to get some stuff that I was gonna need. Nonetheless, the quality of the tub is good and it's nice to relax in it.

We bought the Twilight Series model 8.3 from Master Spas. We didn't really want to spend that kind of money on a hot tub and not get a quality hot tub. I did a lot of research for close to two months before we pulled the trigger and decided to buy that one. Master Spas is the number 1 tub in Canada. If Canadians are buying them and putting them outside, I was told that the average utility bill is $23 a month. That's less than a cable bill in order to maintain the heat. That's totally affordable. A lot of other companies put a lot of money in marketing but they don't put a lot of money in their hot tubs. Master Spas, however, put a lot more emphasis on building a great product and then letting word of mouth do their advertising for them based on the quality of the product.

I was reading a lot of reviews online and listening to YouTube videos and Master Spas do basically what everybody claimed they did. We're so sold by the quality and everything that we were hearing and how happy everybody was with the product. But again, a lot of that also has to do with the dealer, and I think we chose a very reputable dealer. We bought ours out of Minnesota and I'm just fairly happy with the deal they gave us. It was a pretty good package we ordered and it ended up costing us $12,500 for everything that we wanted. At minimum, we would have spent with either Hot Springs or Sundance, close to $15,000 so we got all the bells and whistles we wanted and saved $2,500 in the process. The free delivery was also awesome.

When they delivered it and had it set up we couldn't put water in it yet because I didn't have the electrical. They tell you when you buy it that you should give a place first where you want it and then have the electrical guys come out and hook it out for you. That was what we did. We couldn't run it for probably about a week but when they came up, not only did they set it up, they were here for probably a good hour and a half, just explaining all the different features and how we wanna go about filling it up and using the chemicals. It was so cool. Any questions that we had they answered. It made us feel special and that was so cool.

The customer service was there, even down to the delivery team. One guy was a wealth of knowledge. He said he's been working for them for five years. It was neat to be able to take his brain for a while and learn all the different things that he knew about hot tubs, specifically about the Master Spas hot tub. We bought the EcoPur system, which is the three-part filtration process. It uses zinc and copper to combine together to make a chlorine, chloromide, and then it transitions into chlorine in your hot tub. What that does is it allows you to use far less chemicals. My wife's skin is very chemically sensitive so I can't go too overboard. We learned when we had the smaller hot tub that we had to really watch our chemical use because of my wife's skin sensitivity. We also wanted to be able to entertain and bring more people into the tub so we got the bigger hot tub.

We also paid for the UV light, which creates additional chlorine naturally. It runs the water across the UV light and that kills a lot of bacteria in it. We also paid for an ozone, which also puts even more chlorine in the system naturally. So there's three different systems that put a ton of chlorine into it without actually having to open up a bottle and put anything into it at all. The only chemicals that you're putting in is a tiny bit of clarifier to take care of the pumps and jets. I've got a 385-gallon hot tub and we're only putting in like half an ounce of chlorine, which is sodium chloromide everyday, and it keeps it crystal clear.

We also use the enzymes. Because of the type of hot tub that it is, which is the EcoPur system, Master Spas recommends pretty much staying with the chlorine-based system. It works well and it doesn't hurt the EcoPur system or any of the other systems that work in conjunction with that. Those are the major accessories that we wanted with regards to practicality. We also went ahead and paid to have the jets lighted in addition to the lights that already come with the hot tub in the inside. They're pretty cool. They're really bright LED lights so it kinda add a little bit of ambiance and atmosphere when you're soaking in a hot tub at night.

I noticed that although the circulation pump comes on when the therapy pumps were on, the heat doesn't come on. I called the customer service reps of Master Spas directly at the Wisconsin Division, with the manufacturer, and they told me that's a safety feature because they don't want you cooking inside your hot tub. That made sense. The heater will come on 30 seconds after the therapy pumps shut off. If you wanna take a break in between each session that you have, it will build the heat back up and then you can kick the therapy pumps back on, but of course realizing once you kick the therapy pumps back on, the heat is gonna go off. Their customer service team is fantastic. They pretty much answered every question I've had. It's just a wonderful hot tub.

My wife and I suffer from a lot of body aches and the tub makes all the world of difference. My mom has Parkinson's and we've had her in the hot tub. She's been going through physical therapy to try to get more movement in her shoulders. She also hasn't been able to lift it over her head and she's in her 70's. With three sessions in the hot tub now, she's able to lift her arm higher in the air than when she was able to, going through physical therapy alone. Even my younger kids who are in their 20's, love the tub. We got a couple of neighbors that came over and they enjoyed occasional dip with us and they love it too. I highly recommend Master Spas.

I continued to shop after I saw Master Spas, to see if there was even something better out there, but I couldn't find it. There were a couple of other spas out there, but it just didn't have all the bells and whistles that Master Spas had. They didn't have the quality components like the Balboa, the internal brain that controls all the systems. They have the high-dollar jets. They also got a website saying, "You got a tear or rip on your headrest, only $25 per headrest." Just pop the darn thing out, order a new one, pop the new one in and you're good to go. A lot of the components, I don't have to worry about, like the UV light. I have to replace that every 18 months. I might need to have somebody walk me through things I've never done before, but I'm sure all I got to do is call Master Spas and they're gonna walk me right through it.

One time, we went to a show at the Providence Convention Center. There I got a Health Series from Master Spas. The rep suggested that it would be better to go with the top-of-the-line of that series. The one I got has 30 jets, a water fountain and a 240-watt cover. However, I'm at a point where I may have to drain the water and I need to figure out the process to do that. Their website doesn't show me that. It only shows me how to fill the spa and balance it but not how to drain it, clean it and put fresh water in. Also, it took me a while to figure out how to get the pH level to where it should be. Master Spas also never told me about the calcium in the water and how to make sure it's well-balanced. I had to find that out through a spa company in the area. So, I learned as I went.

Another thing that I had an issue with is how much electricity it uses. My electricity bill has shot up about 50 bucks. It is a 240-watt tub but then the rep told me when I purchased it that it would cost me between $16 and $20 on my electric bill. When I purchased it, one of the selling points was that it was so well-insulated that it doesn't use the energy that other hot tubs do.

Despite these issues, I'm glad that I spent extra money to get a better spa. Now that the weather is getting colder, I know that I'm going to be using it a lot. Since having the tub, it has been nice to have the kids over when we go in. It's also nice to go into it on a cool night. I have a bad back so going into a hot tub helps me out. I highly recommend Master Spas.

It was also from Master Spas and its side, where you get into the mechanicals, was easier to get off. For the new tub, we dealt with one guy and then Mark, the owner, and they were great. We got a new one and the person we bought it from has good reviews with Master Spas as well. They also come out and service the spas. Also, the people at Master Spas were awesome and their knowledge of the tubs stood out. The quality of the tub we got is excellent and the cost is very reasonable. Our hot tub has a lounging chair, led lights, and 43 jets. Now, I have less aches and pains.

We purchased the Twilight Series hot tub from Master Spas since we’ve had that product before. Back then, they were having a show at Wichita Falls, so we went over there and we liked what we saw. The guy that was selling the hot tub to us was really helpful and we liked him too. So, we bought our previous tub. But when we sold the house that our previous tub was in, the people that bought the house really wanted the hot tub. So, we let it go and we had to get another one. We had a Hot Springs hot tub there too and we sold it with the house as well. So, we were without a hot tub for a long time until we got another Master Spas tub.

Our current tub is for the lupus and the therapeutic stuff. We have it for our back, neck and joints. We have some arthritis problems and it really helps. We just need the hot water and we don’t need music and the lights. Compared to the Hot Springs tub that we had before, we like the jets and the pumps in our Master Spas tub. They work really well. They have lots of power and are a lot more economical.

We were really surprised at how inexpensive our Master Spas hot tub was. Its quality is good and we love and enjoy it. But when we first got it, we had some issues. It leaked a little bit and a pump went out. But they sent a repairman right out of Odessa, which is three hours from us, and he was the nicest guy on the planet. He fixed out tub right up and it has no more problems.

The reps have always been so helpful and we appreciate that. I’ve called them a time or two and they answered every question. We’re good with our hot tub and we’ll never be without one. It is doing exactly what we wanted it to do. We would recommend Master Spas. Try them and get their hot tub. It’s the easiest thing to go to one of their shows and look at their tub, then a decision can be made right there.

My Master Spas tub is of a triangular shape. It fits well in the space that I had. Before the purchase I looked at some of their reviews and some videos online. The choice was between them and another company and my wife liked them better. But it had not been a great experience with the store. We were there on a weekend and the manager had left early. He came back, though, and made the deal. However, when I wanted an extra filter he didn’t have the filters in stock. For the couple of time I stopped in there, he told me he would have them but he didn't. He was gonna call me but he never did so I ultimately ended up ordering one online.

I stopped by there another time during their working hours about 10:45. They’re supposed to be open from 10:00 on weekdays, to get a new EcoPur thing and bring my water in and have it tested but they were closed. The door was locked up. I haven’t been really happy with the customer service part of it on the backside. But everything has been good with the quality of the tub.

I looked at a couple of tubs at the factory outlets in Castle Rock. They sell the same spas that were in a Master Spas show in Denver, but they were about $2,000 less at the show. I was glad I went and looked at them ahead of things because I saw what kind of deal I was getting into. The presentation of the tub at the show was good and I’m happy with it. The guy was very informative or else I wouldn’t have bought it on the first show since my other one was leaking from the conduit underneath. I tried fixing it myself, but I just gave up on it and wound up selling it.

I purchased a Twilight Series 240 for its price because I would be the only one that would use the tub. I have spina bifida when I was born, which I didn't know, and I got in an accident years ago that aggravated my back. So, the tub was therapeutic for it. When the tub was delivered to my home, I had to drill a hole inside of it for the power. But when I went to put the panel back on, the board itself was a little off. It wasn’t cut straight. I explained the issue to Master Spas a couple of times and I had a hard time because I always had to leave a message. But, everything was fine as soon as they got some new border pieces for the panels to slide into. It just took them a little while to get them to me.

So far, everything was all right with the tub. I had two tubs prior to getting one from Master Spas and I had my first one for eight years while the other one lasted for about 13 years. They were the older ones with the wood which faded on me and I had to restain. The Twilight spa is not real wood but the material should hold up a good time.

We looked at several hot tubs and we did some online looking. Based on their overall features, workmanship, recommendations, and the general opinions of people that seemed to have put comments, we decided to purchase the Michael Phelps line 800 series tub from the Southeast Wisconsin Master Spas. We also know the manager of the store pretty well, so we were able to get some good feedback from him.

We bought the spa in April but it was installed at the end of August due to the new construction we have going on. The installation was flawless. The installers were here for a little less than 45 minutes and they dropped it into place. So, we have it for a little over two months now and we really like the filtration system on it. It is really nice. Plus, it has that extra lounge chair and the control panel. We like the overall aesthetics of it and the quality is fantastic. We use it quite a bit and it makes for a good night's sleep if you use it right before bed and get relaxed. We’ve entertained a little bit as well and people really seem to enjoy it.

We’ve also got a pool and it adds a little bit of maintenance. So weekly, I clean the filters. I do the daily chlorine additions, too. And I do water monitoring if not every day, at least every other day to make sure that the water is healthy. But it doesn’t take too much. I’ve got some really good test kits that make it easy and quick. So, it takes a maximum of 10 minutes a day to maintain it. It's got all that’s needed.

But being a multi-seated spa, there are all these diverter valves where you can direct the entire flow to the seat you’re in or you can kind of back it off and split the difference between your seat and the one next to you. And the diverter valve that is for the lounger is really loud. Unless you have it 100% to the lounger or 100% to the foot jets that are in the tub, it’s almost like there’s a bit of cavitation or some air entrapment that occurs inside of that diverter valve at any other setting. And for lack of a better term, it rattles. Apparently, it's a common and known issue. I reported it to them but nothing could be done about it. Other than that, we're terrifically satisfied with our spa.

We had an older version of Master Spas and we loved it so I bought a newer one. I went looking online and I found the one I wanted, which was the Master Spas 700 series. We went to the show and the girl I talked to was really nice. However, she told us that all the pumps were on one side of the hot tub but they were not. They’re on three different sides of the hot tub, so it makes a difference as far as trying to maintain or repair the tub. The tub is going to our gazebo so we specifically asked her if all the pumps are on one side and because they are not we gotta be able to pull all the panels off the three quarters of the tub to get to them.

The only issue I’ve had with the new Master Spas since we got it was that if you try to restart the second pump, it would make a lot of noise and shut off. If I run it once or twice, it’s generally okay. But if I try to run it any more than that, it just won’t run low or high. But other than that, we really like the tub. The LED lights are great. The tub also has lots of jets and I love it. Everything works well. Primarily, I use it because I’ve had back and neck pain and problems since I was in a car accident four years ago. The original Master Spas also saved my neck and back after that accident. It’s the only way I could function and go to work. The guys that delivered it and the other people I talked to when I bought it, were also great.

We got the Twilight 8.25 from Master Spas. This seats seven but we wanted one a little larger. It has two pumps, which we wanted. They had some show specials, and it was exactly what we were looking for. They seemed to have a process that they use for their insulation, that's blown on the walls. It is a big deal because a lot of spas and hot tubs when you spring a leak, tends to go down the wall of the spa and leak out. It could be 3, 4 feet away or it could be on the other side of the tub, and you don't really know. Master Spas has the highest grade insulation you can get to keep your tub warm, and when they have a leak, it's right in the spot where the insulation is wet. Also the cover that you get with the hot tub, is about eight inches thick. It's very well insulated and you don't lose any heat whatsoever.

The tub is very durable and it has removable panels on all four sides. One side has the pumps on it, the heating, and everything else. We had as many jets as possible that we can get and Master Spas also has the neck therapeutic jets. There's four jets on one station in the spa, that concentrate on your neck and shoulders, which are very good. We got seven course LED lighting. You could naturally focus on one set - blue, yellow, green, red, or you can make it intermittent and get them done that way.

I was home when the delivery team brought the tub off the truck and I was kind of amazed that was how they brought it into my yard to begin with. They were very careful. They also have excellent people working up there especially in Pennsylvania. The woman that answers the phone, not only answers the phone and directs it to different places but the informative information that she has is just incredible. I've had two service calls so far. The first one was really my fault because when I was filling it up, I developed a vapor or a barrier there, it's like an air block. But they were more than happy to come out. They tweaked it for me.

We had an existing patio down so we had wanted the electric underground to come off inside the hot tub rather than outside line, and that worked out very well. I was told exactly what to do -- no more than four inches above the ground and the hot tub will be placed right on top of it. That worked out very well. The tub is an expensive item, but I'm very happy with it. For what you're getting in the hot tub - what it has in it and what it does, it's right in line with the cost. Before my wife tends to have a bad back. We could jump in this hot tub at 6 or 7:00 at night and we come out feeling 10 years younger.

We had talked to three relatives who have hot tubs. We were getting the pros and the cons, what to look for and what to be careful of. When we went and talked to one of the salesmen at a display show, he showed us three of the units and we got interested in them. He seemed to be very knowledgeable. He was showing us all the features and he seemed to know the hot tubs so we appreciated talking to him. He was real friendly and he didn't really pressure us. He just showed us what they had and what the prices were. And he showed us all we wanted so we were pleased with him.

They had about another hour or two before they were closing up. So the guy said he could give us a price for it. But we thought we would wait. He had mentioned in the conversation that they had sold one though. Apparently, the dealer would get a rebate when he sells two or three of them. They said they'd give us that credit. So we decided to go ahead and buy it with the understanding that it was what we were looking for, something big enough to hold five people in it. We bought the Master Spas Healthy Living 7 x 7 from Allstar Pool & Spa. It has a recliner and then four adults could sit in it. It turned out to be what we wanted.

The installation was good too. We were given a window of a couple of hours and the installers came right within that window. Then they scoured at the property and figured we live on a sort of a slope. They had to figure out where to park and how to slide the tub down here, and got it up on the air. They ran over all the instructions with my son and me, and it was good. One thing that might be good though is if there was a choice on which side the access door is placed. We live on the lake and we wanted the seating to be in a particular configuration so we could have a good view while we're sitting in the tub. But that puts the access door in an awkward spot. So if that could have been arranged, like custom done, that would have been good.

Master Spas might also do a different product that came with the tub. What came with our tub was the Rendezvous line and we switched to something else soon. I wasn't real thrilled with that. But the instructions that came with it were good. There was a little learning curve at first as far as how to keep the water clear. But I'm finally settled in to how to keep the water sparkling clean. I clean the filter, check the pH and the bromine level, and add chemicals if I need to. We'll also have to empty it soon because it's been up and running almost six months now. We're very happy with the tub. When we get in it in the evening before we go to bed, it helps relax us more. We enjoy that and we sleep better now. Our grandkids love it too. When they're out, they always beg to go in it so we enjoy sitting out there with them. It's been really good. We were pleased with the price and yet, nothing about the quality would indicate budget.

I had a hot tub before that was about 14 years old and the company had since gone out of business. Since Master Spas owns a number of different brands, they're fairly a significant player in the industry. We went to a trade show and got a hot tub from them which I liked the features, options and the way it was built. The previous one I had had a couple of features that I liked that aren't on this one though, but it's not a deal-breaker. It had an economy button which you could push if you're going away for a week or two, so it would lower the temperature automatically up to 55 degrees. That was just convenient and the Master Spas hot tub doesn't have that but it's not that big of a deal because I can just manually lower the temperature to 55 degrees.

Also, our old one was ceramic with a wood exterior, so it was sturdy as a rock and looked extremely well-built structurally. The current one has a synthetic PVC exterior so it's not gonna rot. But, the filter system seems a little more complicated and I'm gonna have to buy some type of proprietary filter cartridge. The cost was more money than I wanna spend too. Still, it was a reasonable value and I really love hot tubs. Master Spas has been good to deal with as well. I'm a general contractor and just coincidentally, I was doing a large project for a client. They had bought one from them so I talked to the same office to schedule the delivery for them and, like my experience, that went pretty smoothly. I would recommend Master Spas.

I attended a Master Spas exhibit. I went around and looked at all the different models they had, and figured out which one I liked and negotiated a price on it. I like their lounge option and the comfort of the seating. I also like how it has two motors that you can separate and just control part of it on it’s own, and how you can turn off and on certain jets, and have more water flow go to one area. I use it to relax and for therapy on my back, and it seems to help loosen up my muscles and relaxes it. We just check the water level and add some chemicals once a week to maintain it. So far, everything seems to be working fine.

The TS 8.2 from Master Spas had the features that I wanted. At the time, I purchased it because of the price. It was a slightly damaged unit that's why I got a good price on it. And, the type of insulation they used because I had an ant problem on my old one. They were eating the inside of insulation and Master Spas was one of those that offered the other type of insulation that the bugs don't feed on and that was a deciding factor for me. When it was installed, there was more damage than what was revealed to me at the show where I purchased it and I only had minimal price reduction over the non-damaged one. But so far, it seems to function as expected. I just put chemicals in it every once in a while for maintenance.

Master Spas' corner unit fits perfectly for where I needed it. I purchased the Twilight 240 which has the light features, the waterfall and the 26 jets. It is perfect for what my husband and I need. The installation team got here with the unit and my electrician got here at the same time. I started filling it with water as soon as it was in place. But they didn't stay to show me everything and to see that the lights were not working. I couldn't make the lights change colors. That was my only set-back on the whole installation process. Since the installer gave me his cell phone number, I called him and told him that the lights won't change. He said, "You have to press the button repeatedly." And I said, "I did and they won't change." They sent out the service guy in two weeks and turned on the light features.

The price was reasonable and the quality of the pool was good. We love the tub and we highly recommend it.

I chose the TS 8.2 as it is the same size I wanted, and I liked that I could lay down in it. I ordered one from the spa outlet and the Master Spas team was real good. I talked to one guy and told him about a problem I was having with the outlet spa, and he said, “No problem.” I talked to him on Monday and the spa was delivered Wednesday. I have a really strange yard, but the installation went well. I've had the spa for three months and I've had to have someone come out and put in a new pump already. When I called to get it repaired, they gave me a recorded line and then I had to check on the internet to get a response. There should be a person talking to the people and not just saying, “We’ll get back to you.” Nonetheless, I love the spa. I have really bad arthritis and I'm in it everyday. I’d definitely recommend them.

We purchased the Twilight 7.2, which was about the size that we wanted. It's the one with the lounger, which was the difference between the 7.1 and the 7.2. I like that because it had the jets for the calves. It was delivered and set up on time, and I got my electrician to come out and run 220 to it. Then the tub was filled up. I followed the directions in the manual for keeping the chemicals down. Everything is a-okay and has been for the last 10 months. There were plenty of reviews online and I was hoping those things wouldn't happen to me. But people online tend to leave bad reviews then people who don’t have an issue don’t leave a review. I haven't had any issues with my spa and I got exactly what I expected. The quality is great.

Master Spas compare to a few other big brands and it's good value. But I wish I had gone ahead and done the waterproof audio system where I can turn the music on and off right there and not have to get in and out of the spa. I probably saved 1,500 bucks by not doing the audio package because I was thinking I would just get a speaker. But if I could do it over, I would do that. Still, I'm happy with the spa and the kids love it. They use it all the time, especially when it was new and then throughout the summer. They were in and out between the pool and the spa.

I've had a good experience with Master Spas. The rep I worked with was very helpful, and showed us how to work everything and how it worked. So, I was happy. The installation went excellently, except they had the wrong spa covers for the size of the spa, and that was what the company had shipped. The installers finally had to say, “Hey, we have the wrong size in Boise. We’re gotta have to FedEx you one from the big company.” Other than that, the guys were great.

The spa I got fits on the little concrete pad I had. It has lots of jets and a place to sit. The quality seems to be very good, and it is holding up good, so far. I feel so much better since I've been using the spa. It’s nice to have, and I hop in it a couple of times a week. I follow the maintenance instructions on it. I put a little chlorine in every time I get out. And then once a week, I go through the little regimen of all the different chemicals and try to keep it balanced. I still have two of the large pulleys unable to turn to where they will allow the jets to operate. So, they’re stuck in a closed position. I need to contact the customer service but I just haven’t had the time. I like Master Spas and I’d recommend it.

We’ve had a lot of spas. We’ve had Marquis and Beachcraft. But my daughter had a Master Spa in her backyard and she told me how easy the maintenance was. You wouldn't have to add a lot of bromines or chlorines. So I did some research online, called some people who actually own Master Spas and then, went out and visited the showroom. I talked to the salesperson and then decided that that was probably a good choice. I chose the LSX 700 because it was the smallest that had the most jets. We don’t party in the hot tub. It’s for therapy and I thought it had the best features.

The Marquis was a great spa and I certainly loved it. But the Master Spa is probably a better fit for me. It’s a newer one and a much nicer model, and there are a lot more features on it. I like the continuous filtration that the Marquis did not have and I like the placement of the jets better than as well. Overall, it’s a better spa. It functions as it should and everything works. The GFCI reset works. I get up every morning and I go out there for an hour with my coffee. I’m 70 and I don’t get hurt as much when I go out to the shop or in the tractor. Then when I go to bed at night, I usually go out there for another hour or so and relax, and I get a restful night's sleep. So it’s doing exactly what I intended to do, which was to take the place of medication.

It is a higher priced spa than most in the same bracket. But I didn’t to buy the cheapest one on the market either. I do believe that you get what you pay for. The additional jets and the three motors, as opposed to two or one, cost money. If you want upgrade and quality, then you’re gonna have to pay for it. So it was fairly priced. The only customer service problem is that you can’t get a hold of anybody because the moment the receptionist answers the phone, she says, “Master Spas, hold on please.” Then they put you on hold for 10 minutes. I've probably called them 20 times and eventually, I got somebody. But as far as customer service in answering their phone calls and tending to customer’s needs, they’re helpful and knowledgeable.

I’ve used a hot tub for about 14 years now. I can hardly get through without it. I would be in that thing in the morning for an hour and a half and then I can get through the rest of the day. But our Moen had finally broken down and we went into town with the full intention of coming home with a new tub. I purchased a Twilight Series hot tub because of the things that the salesman told us about the unit and we got the upgraded model where it’s got three motors and the spa mode. But in the beginning, we got off on the wrong foot with the salesperson. We had already paid for this whole thing when we got it but then, I was not gonna get what I was told I was supposed to be getting. There was a big discrepancy there.

I tried going to the dealer but it turned into a big runaround. I got a hold of some guy but he wouldn’t even let me go up the chain of command to get on the customer service of the company. He told me there wasn't anybody else or any other number. He said I had to deal with him and you just don't deal with people like that. I’m a retired real estate broker office owner myself and I’ve dealt with people my whole life. That guy wouldn’t have lasted 30 seconds with me. It was a sad situation. But I don’t take no for an answer when I know I’m in the right.

I followed through and pursued it until I actually found out the phone number, was able to get a hold of the home factory office and get a hold of a customer service rep that actually took care of the problem. However, Master Spas really need a better customer service phone number system in all of their advertisement in case a customer can’t get satisfaction with the individual dealer. Master Spas should make it a lot more accessible. That is where I really got frustrated and very upset with the company. It took me almost 10 days to research. I was so frustrated and upset that I had already contacted the attorney general of the State of Nevada. They were ready to assist me in getting some kind of resolution. There’s also a hot tub outfit that’s going in in my area and they sell a tub that's a lot cheaper. That’s gonna be big competition so customer satisfaction is gonna be what would help Master Spas stay in the market, in a competition.

But when I did get ahold of the main office, the person who took over really stepped up to the plate and did the job right. They did everything that they said they would do. At that point in time, I was very pleased as far as the company. They stood behind what they said. But it would have been so much easier and better had I been able to get a hold of him and not have ask to go above the person that I talked to.

As far as the tub itself, it’s been working great. It’s a good product and I’m very pleased with the quality. I use this thing everyday for my muscles and joints problem, and I really like it even better than I did the Moen. In fact, I’ll recommend this tub to anybody because it does a good job as far as performance. I like the fact that we got the upgrade on it with the number of motors and I really like the smaller motor as far as the circulation. That keeps operational cost down. The tub is actually about 150 gallons smaller than the one that we previously had. It was a little bit on the high side but now that I’ve had it and used it, it’s got a decent amount of quality to it. With what it had on it once they got it built the way it was supposed to be, I felt that the price was fairly decent.

My wife wanted a hot tub to relax so I purchased a Master Spas Balance for her. The representative was knowledgeable and easy to deal with. But the guy that they recommended to install wanted twice as much as the guy that I had do it. All the first guy wanted to do was for me to take pictures and then give me a quote through the pictures whereas my guy came out twice. He came out once to measure and see what kind of panel I had. The second time he came out, he installed the hot tub. The guy recommended by Master Spas also asked me if I was gonna put the hot tub permanently or not because that would tell him whether he should use copper or aluminium. And that was a huge red flag for me.

The maintenance is a little more than the company explained it was gonna be though. They would try to tell you that it’s gonna be a once-a-week thing but then it would come out to be a twice-a-week thing if you really wanna keep it clean. But as long as you keep up on it, it’s fine. I clean the filter and the metal piece inside the filter once a week. Then no matter what, you've got to stay on top of the chemicals. It’s just they don’t tell you. They make it sound like it’s not very much money for the chemicals. But I've had the unit wired since the beginning of September and I've already gotten 300 and some odd dollars invested in chemicals. Still, the company I bought the hot tub from has been more than helpful. Every time I've called, somebody has answered the question for me. So far, the tub's quality is okay too. I chose it for the size of it and it’s nice. My wife uses it before bedtime and it has helped her sleep.

The unit we got has a lounge, waterfalls and lights. It seats six and it has four different massage locations. One is for the neck, the back and the legs. One is for the middle torso and then for the upper torso. Then two for the feet. So it’s got everything you could probably want in a spa. Plus the quality is excellent and the cost was fair. You do get what you pay for. Then anytime I call the company, they answer my questions. If I need anything, they send it to me. BIG E, to check some out. We looked at two brands. The first was pretty good. The second was Master Spas and they blew away the competition in components, pumps, controls, insulation and tub construction. The price is expensive, we purchased the Legend LSX900 mostly because I am 6' 3" and second we wanted to fit at least 6 comfortably.

We took delivery 9 months after purchase so we could get ready. I have to cut down a huge tree and build a 100 lb psi deck to handle the 500 gallons and 1200 lb. tub. On July 14, we agreed to purchase one of your spas at the Alameda Fair Grounds with the understanding that the salesman, Josh, would order it the following day. He said he’d put a rush on delivery so we would get it within 3 to 4 weeks. We signed an agreement to pay in two installments plus a down payment with last one due the day of delivery.

On July 27, I got a call from shipping to place my order. I was also forced to pay the full amount. I was told that the salesman never ordered the hot tub and the delivery date he promised was impossible to meet. He said the salesman mislead us. A month went by since buying the spa, and on August 17, I called the CEO, Bob Lauter, Customer Support and Shipping and left messages but no one answered or returned my calls. I talked to Josh and asked him what was going on? No one calls me back and I still have no delivery date. I asked him why he didn’t place our order like he promised? I told him that our payment agreement was not honored and I had to pay the full amount. I said the shipping date he gave us could never have been met because he forgot to disclose that the hot tub was a special order since Master Spa didn’t carry it.

I told him that we never would have bought the spa if we had known the truth. He didn’t respond to anything I said except that I should never have paid upfront. Then he told me that it was out of his hands. I said, "Dave in shipping did not hesitate to tell me that you mislead us." “I don’t know what’s going on over there but I will get back to you on Monday,” he said. I never heard from him again except for a text he sent the next day. “The spa is completed and will be in transit the week of August 19.”

On 8/20, I called shipping and customer service again and spoke to three people including John **, Customer Care. Each person gave me different information on the status of our order. Mr. ** was curt and uninterested in what I had to say. He said the spa is still being built. Delivery may be sometime the first part of September. This is a direct contradiction to what Josh texted me just three days prior. The inconsistencies are overwhelming. I listened as John also told me that the salesman mislead us about the entire transaction. I told him that I wanted to cancel the order. I said I was tired of getting the run around. He got angry and said, “Sorry you have a contract and all sales are final.”

Two months had past since we bought the spa and I got a call from Dave telling me that the spa was ready to ship. I said we don’t want it, please don’t ship it. I told him we contacted VISA to get our money back since no one would even consider our request to cancel. I said I’ve tried working with Master Spas to no avail and we do not want the hot tub. He responded with intimidation and threats as well. “You should drop your inquiry with VISA now.” He continued, “You have no choice but to accept the spa. That’s just the way it is.” He said that I’d better accept delivery because I would never win this dispute against his company. “They will win, he said. They always win.” He continued to bully me and said that if I didn’t accept this delivery, he couldn’t guarantee when I would get the hot tub. What reputable business treats their customers like this or allows this type of bad behavior?

Master Spas has not been helpful, courteous or apologetic. They’ve misinformed us and have treated me badly. And I was taken aback as members of their staff turned on their own people. And we still don’t have a delivery date. Every business is dependent on quality customer service and quality communication. That has not been our experience and they have failed miserably on both counts. We have a business, certainly not the size of theirs, but if we had such an unhappy customer, we wouldn't hesitate to grant their request contract or not because it would be the right thing to do.

As I said, we never would have bought the spa if we had known the truth from the beginning. And since we did not find out the truth until eighteen days after we bought it, we could not use the 72 hour rule to terminate the sale. So my question is to whom it may concern, Please accept our request to terminate the sale and refund our money. We do not want this spa.

Updated on 10/16/2018: I canceled delivery in September so there is no spa to pick up. We have yet to get any response from Master Spa on this site. Nor have they ever reached out to us. Their ads and website seem to imply that “Major Manufacturers and warehouses” are selling off inventory. You can save 40%-80% this weekend only! Unfortunately, this “Expo” is known in the hot tub industry as the Master Spa traveling circus scam. It’s put on by a hot tub store out of far away St. Louis Park, MN with quite a bad reputation. They have a crew of commission only salespeople that travel around the country and put on these “Sales”. These aggressive salespeople know that if they don’t get you to place a deposit now, they will lose out. They are packing up and leaving town after the weekend ends. It’s now or never for them.

When we saw that this spa expo only included one brand, we should have turned around and left. We have since realized this event was just a bait and switch by Master Spa. I found this information and wished I had seen it before July, please beware. Avoid Traveling Hot Tub & Swim Spa Expo Shows. Consumer Alert: What’s the scariest place to buy a hot tub or swim spa? Answer: A traveling hot tub or swim spa expo. Here’s Why: Hot tub and swim spa expos are typically advertised as “national events” and insinuate that all major manufacturers are present. However, this is far from the truth. In reality, these expo events are set up quickly and ran by high-pressure sales staff who leave town and disappear as soon as the event is over never to be seen again.

We haven't receive the swim spa as of yet and we ordered in May. The hot tub was delivered but was not what we ordered and is leaking. It came filthy dirty and it was as if it had been in use. Do not purchase anything from them. This was the worst experience I have ever had in spending $44,000.00 dollars. Yep you got that right, we spent that much money and have leaking hot tub and no swim spa. They said they dropped it. I doubt it.

I am married to a lawyer and he is working this as a case but what kind of company has that attitude. The leaking hot tub they attributed to us overfilling it. Okay the water is at the level they indicated and yet it is still leaking. We are an older couple and purchased the swim spa for therapy for my handicapped husband. He is probably going to die before he gets any use out of the swim spa. I will write much more. And in many different places. I am so sad and angry. We were fools. Buyer beware.

Updated on 06/02/2019: I have reviewed Master Spas in the past and they replaced our spa. I will not change my review because we had to beg to get our Spa fixed and they did with a lot of begging. The reason they the replaced spa before is the same issue we are having again. We have now had the replaced Swim Spa now for about 8 months and about 2 months ago, we saw a crack in the acrylic. I called Master Spas and was told I had to send a picture of the crack.

We had just done our empty and refill of our spa and they said they had special software to see cracks through the water. So, we took a few pictures of the crack, through the water which they said to do, and they told me they couldn't see a crack. I mean come on. Do they really think we want to go through all of this again? They said because the water is not leaking out, then I should wait until it is time to empty the spa again. The problem with waiting is they told me the temperature outside has to be over 50 for at least 3 days for the acrylic repair to work. If I wait until we have to empty and refill, it will be cold again. I AM PISSED OFF!!! I just want them to live up to their own warranty.

Original Review: We went to the Spa expo and bought a swim spa from Master Spas. They told us it would be delivered in a week, and we would have to get it craned over our house. When the spa was delivered it was covered inside with bird poop and water. After cleaning the spa, there was a hole in the bottom of the spa. We were told, by our salesperson, the spa would be replaced with a new spa. Then we get a call from "Corporate" and they said they would only have the spa repaired. We are now in this whole thing for $1000.00. I told them to just come get it. That I would pay to have it craned out, and they can refund us for the spa. They said no. There was no returns and they would not replace it with a new spa. So, $16,500 new spa comes broken and they want us to keep it even though it is broken. Don't buy from this company.

The defective jets were promptly fixed by Premium Wholesale.

    Original Review: Sept. 10, 2018

Purchased a 2018 Twilight Master Spas 8.2 and in general I would say happy with the purchase, however here are some things I found while using. The jets in the seat beside cooling seat are seized... Went to the Kitchener On. showroom and asked what would it take to fix them and the service guy said it might need to cut out the tub?? Seemed a strange way to “fix” this issue and rather not cut out a new spa making things worse… Also looked at a same spa in the showroom, and the jets were seized as well. Master Spas changed the jets in 2017 and I would say this seems to be a recurring issue.

Again I do not want to break force things to take the jets out and would rather leave with the inability to close or replace these three jets. Unhappy with the solution offered nevertheless. The second thing I noticed the water from the fountain is cold when the water fountain is turned on. The service person said this is normal as it is standing water… My concern is if this is if these will freeze in -30C…

I am very displeased with our swim spa service from South East Spas, Inc. This was a very expensive product, and it is still in warranty and less than a year old, and it has electrical issues which have stopped the spa from operating. I reported it to Master Spas and this office, and they said they would get a service technician up to fix it in about a week. It took two and when he called he had me go open the side, and try to unplug some electrical plugs, which did nothing. He finally showed up and said it was s shorted control board which he had to order. It is now two weeks later, and still no response from this vendor, so I am calling them back for an update.

For the price of this pool I would have expected much better service and support. How would they feel if I stopped paying for it until they repair it? This is no way to generate business with a national organization pushing how great their products are. Mine is 6 months old and already failing. The tech tried to tell me it was due to a thunderstorm surge, but I have a home surge protector and separate lines dedicated to this spa, so why only one side failed is beyond me. Now I only hope I get it repaired so I don't have to drain it due to the foul watercolor and smell. My experience so far is NOT GOOD!

He is not responding to messages left on a cell phone registered with their company. He was to tell us who could service us in this area but never did. I finally found a service number with the company. I was told that the nearest service rep is more than a three hour round trip (service call that we are responsible for according to the warranty) and it looks like hot tub repair is more of a sideline for them as they focus on bathtubs. There are four locations for service in the Shreveport Bossier LA area where we live. Why aren't any of them authorized for service? That seems unreasonable. Seems like a way to dodge warranty work.

BUYER BEWARE of the small print in the warranty. Through NO fault of our own, a control knob came off of our hot tub which is less than one year old. Come to find out in the "small print" of the warranty, the parts & labor to fix the warranted item are covered, BUT a service fee is charged TO THE CUSTOMER by a contracted technician. Spending the amount of money we did on the hot tub, I expected better customer care than this. There should be NO "out of pocket" expense to the consumer for warranty work. In hindsight, I'm not really surprised though, as when the tub was initially delivered, the cover was defective & had to be replaced & the tub was also missing several screw covers.

Master Spas had an all-out sale at the convention center here in Huntsville in February. And my wife and I went and took a look, and we really liked what we saw at the time. The Master Spas team was great! The guy showed us around all the different models and discussed the differences. We bought the LSX 800 hot tub. It has 70 jets and three different pumps. So, there was a lot of different therapy options with it.

We bought the hot tub in February, and they've delivered it in May after we had our pad for it and electrical done. I had one initial issue that I called on. The temperature was shot the very first time we got on. So, I kept trying to turn the pump. Then, the pumps would come on. So, I think it was stuck in the cool down motor and since I didn't know enough to know that, I called. And they had me do certain things and then wait till the next day and tried it again. Then, it worked. It was a learning curve.

Our hot tub was expensive but looking and comparing it to the other brands out there, it has higher quality. We went to the home decor and outdoor show at the same convention center a month later, and all the hot tubs that were there weren't even in the same ballpark as this one. They weren't as good looking and didn't have the features, so I got what I paid for. Also, one of the selling features was that it had the ozone and the mineral cartridge and stuff that reduce your need for chemicals. So, over the long run, it should be good.

They had good records and were able to pull up what we have. They were able to find the proper parts versus saying, "You have to find your receipt and tell me what you got." They sent the stuff out next day like they said they were going to so I'm happy with them. And I would refer them out to people. The quality of the spa has also been good. We had another spa for 18 years and it died, so we needed a new one and we've been very pleased with this spa so far. I'm pretty critical and I'm very happy with what they've done. So use them.

But getting someone out to fix it has become an extremely frustrating project. There's only one company locally that services their tubs covered by a warranty. And that company never answers their phone and never does a call-back. Finally did get one call-back 2 weeks ago; they set up a day to come out which has come and gone. Nobody showed up on that day, no one answered their phone again and didn't get a call-back. Now, four weeks into all this, I've called so many different people involved with the company including 3 more calls today and a sent email. Still no one from Master Spas making the effort to solve this problem and support their product. I could never recommend purchasing a Master Spa at this point; they simply don't stand behind their product.

I went to a trade show event and I chose the Twilight Series 7.25 by Master Spas there. I bought it from a local dealer and he’s been very supportive. They brought it out and set it up. The tub is high-end and I like the number of jets it has. It had a Bluetooth audio system, a waterfall feature, and LED lights. I’m very satisfied with it so far and the cost was right in line with other high-end hot tubs. It wasn’t a lot cheaper or wasn’t more expensive. I use it mainly for hydrotherapy as I’ve got bad knees and ankles. And it’s helped with my old joints. Master Spas has a quality product, and the company and the authorized dealers stand behind their product. I'm a very satisfied customer.

Master Spas had a showroom nearby and we liked the sales people and everything seemed right. We went to one of the big weekend sales Master Spas had at the mall and looked at them all and the 7 x 7 seven-person hot tub was the size that we wanted for the number of people we had in our family. It has a couple of little waterfalls, and has lights inside the tub, mainly hairs. Master Spas was very helpful. I have a large driveway and they had to bring it down when they installed it and we took it around the side of the house, put it on the lower back porch, and they handled it extremely well. Then they showed me how to put chemicals in. I've also called the office several times and they’ve helped me with different things that I've asked about.

We’ve only had it for six months but it seems to be great. We’re getting ready to change the water for the first time. But everything has worked out extremely nice. It has been worth it so far and it's very comfortable. I have a three-year warranty so I'm happy with that. It’s been a good experience. I come home with sore arms some days and since we got the hot tub, I'm not having that muscle problem. My arms are like they were beforehand.

My wife likes the lounger and I like something that has jets on my back and the spa that we got from Master Spas just fits what we like. We saw it at the fair and it had a good price. They were very workable, so we struck a deal. The last one we had was an in-ground with a pool, and the Master Spa is 100 times better. When I had the house built, I had electrical to the outside by one of the spa and then the master electrician put the plug in. The company that delivered it had a guy came out and said that we have to provide the wiring. So I got the wiring but the guy hooked it up wrong. And it did what it was supposed to do and it dropped offline. Then they said our board was fried and we had to buy stuff.

I called the owner and he said he would get someone out here right away and we wouldn't have to wait for six weeks. He had somebody out virtually the next day and he got it up and running. My wife and I use the spa quite often. We go out there in the evening for 15 minutes and then we go and take showers. It’s quite relaxing.

I wanted to share a couple of observations regarding the Master Spas company, product, and support. As noted by many of the comments be very aware of how they install (or don't install) your new spa. Master Spas contracts with some local guys to carry the spa into your home and place it on or near the location of choice. They do not set it up or connect the electrical. The delivery guys are often very uninterested in anything other than dumping the tub in your yard and moving on. No input on startup or maintenance. Just minimal delivery.

Despite this initial experience, we were able to get the tub in place and we had another electrician hook up the power. Once up and running the Twilight Series 7 tub has been a solid product. It requires more maintenance than our prior tub and the filters need cleaning more often to keep the water clear. Given the sales guys pitch around ease of use, I would suggest you think more about ongoing maintenance as a part of the decision to buy.

In the past month, one of the diverter valves broke and it was painful getting the part from Master Spas. They did after three weeks finally deliver the part with no instruction or guidance. The customer support team was wildly average in all ways. So, in conclusion, I would not recommend buying from this company. Master Spas sells thorough events, has no stores and local staff, and ongoing support will likely get worse as the warranty period ends.

It also has 2 pumps on it and the ozonator which helps keep the bacteria down. We were concerned about keeping our water clean because it's up at 100-plus degrees all the time. It also has the lounge chair in it with multiple jets for the bottoms of my feet and the backs of my legs. They also gave us the cover, the holder for the cover, steps and everything else with it. We had an old Jacuzzi for about 15 years and we got tired of fixing it. We decided to get a new hot tub and we needed something that could sit at least four people. We picked the 5-seater Master Spa at Primo Hot Tubs because of the recliner feature and the number of jets in the seats. It was also the right size for what we wanted At the time, it was on sale because there was a show special. We bought it right there and Primo came out and put it in for me.

There were three or four installers who came out and went into my backyard. I had built a 20x20 enclosed porch that I wanted to put the new tub in. The old Jacuzzi had been sitting on a slab outside. But it gets so hot down here in Texas that most of the time, it’s too hot to even use a hot tub. So, I built a 20x25 porch, enclosed it and had it air-conditioned to put the Master Spa tub in. I made a door for them to be able to get into the building but they had a devil of a time. The dimensions were correct but it was a tight squeeze. Still, we got the tub in.

Since then, we've had the tub for two years and we use it for hydrotherapy. We're old folks and it helps us get moving. The Jacuzzi product that we had before was a round tub and it was used when we got it. While it worked, the hot tub from Master Spas is lot better. It’s got a lot more jets in it. We use our Master Spas hot tub all the time. It really makes a difference when we get sore and achy to be able to sit in the tub, have a couple of drinks and relax and get a massage. It keeps us going. I got 15 years out of my Jacuzzi. I'm hoping I get that long out of my Master Spa. Overall, it was a good purchase and I recommend this company.

They were very nice people to deal with. However, when they came over, they dropped off the hot tub and pretty much left. They didn’t set it up enough, they didn’t make the hot tub work and they didn’t hook up the electric. I understand that they're not electricians, but they should send some kind of electrician that's certified to set these hot tubs up. For the money that they charge me, they need to deliver it to my house, fill it with water, plug it in, set it up and make sure it's 100% right and I'm 100% happy.

Also, I got more value for the money with my other hot tub than my Master Spas one. I'm having trouble keeping the water clear and I don't know if it's something I'm doing or if it's the hot tub itself. They never gave me any instructions on how to operate the tub. They gave me a box of chemicals, and when I bought the tub they told me, "With this new super filter we have in there, you don't even need to worry about that." But I still need to worry about the PH balance, and I still have an issue with the cloudiness of the water. But other than that, it seems to be okay. It's good quality, but it's a little bit overpriced. I could probably get a different brand with the same features for maybe cheaper.

We like to go out there in the evening and just relax a little bit, a couple of times a week, even in the winter. We've had it a couple of years now.

However, the tub is not cheap. But, considering prices, it was reasonable. A little more than what we would have liked to have paid. But comparing it to some of the research I have done on others online, and for what we were looking for, the price was comparable. Even the installation was wonderful too. I walked into Aqua Spas on a whim and I liked the color and the amount of jets in the Master Spas HL 7. In the spur of the moment, I decided to take the hot tub home. But I actually walked into Aqua Spas a month before and it was very quick. I also explored some other stores around town. There was a lot of timing involved, seeing what they have in stock, being patient and learning about the spas.

The people were cordial but the follow-through wasn’t the greatest on certain things. As a first time hot tub purchaser, I wasn’t sure if we needed a pad or how to really go about that, and I was looking for a little guidance, direction and recommendation from them. But they couldn’t really guide me anywhere. It was more or less like someone with a code. They said they would call me back but then they never called me back. I had to follow up a couple times and still, they never called me back. It was nothing of major importance though. Still, I would recommend them. We love the spa and we’re thankful to have it. It’s definitely good for relaxation. That’s what we really enjoy the most out of it. It’s a nice way to end the day and I try to use it every night. Everybody in the family really enjoys it and our two sons love it.

I liked the Michael Phelps spa's size and number of jets. It has a lounging seat and then the rest of the seats fit in. I also like the depth of it, the various controls, that are three separate pumps, the lighting in it and that it has a double filter. Also, it's got the plastic pan on the bottom because the wood framing doesn't sit on the concrete directly and soak up the water that's underneath. It comes in a pan. My other one is the wood framing and for whatever reason they don't use treated lumber and it's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. And this spa doesn't use treated lumber either. I can't imagine it's more expensive to use treated lumber than if you use regular lumber but I would like to have it be treated lumber.

But the other one that I had, sit on the concrete and gets water underneath it and then ultimately it would rot. This one has a pan that's underneath the entire spa so that the wood never is in contact with the ground. So thereby, I'm expecting it to last much longer. That's a real good selling point but the sales guy has never talked about that kind of stuff. If I were a sales guy, I would be like, "Yeah, I have one and it doesn't have this plastic pan on the bottom and the wood rots. So what do you want? You can get this one over here with the wood rots and this one with a pan underneath it and it's gonna be safe."

When they came to deliver it, I had two short guys show up in a truck with a trailer on it. They did a fine job for what they had to work with but just getting the thing off was a real pain. They lowered the spa on the trailer with a forklift and getting that thing off was ridiculously hard. The spa is 1200 pounds empty. I had to help. I was there pumping this thing down to its place. The cart that they had was kind of rickety and I had to go get some lumber that I happen to have here at the house and use for props and lifts. I had to use my dally, I had to use a whole bunch of my stuff to get the spa in place. It was all we could do to get the spa down there with three men. If I hadn't been here to help, the two guys weren't gonna get it there. A man cannot move 600 pounds. They needed more help. But other than that, the spa seems to run well and I've been pretty satisfied.

We've owned hot tubs for 20 plus years so we knew what things to expect and look for as far as features. We bought a Master Spas TS 7.2 from an independent dealer because of its price and number of jets. And I'm very pleased with the jet layouts and the different configuration that we were able to get that benefited both myself and my wife. She's much shorter than I am which could pose some problems with some hot tub options. I had both knees replaced in the last two years. I also have joint and shoulder issues. The hot tub helps with the day-to-day stresses, muscle soreness and joint pain. We use it almost daily and it's simple, easy and straightforward to upkeep. Even with people who don't have a lot of knowledge on hot tubs, it doesn't take much to get on board with what they need to do if willing.

I ran into the people at Master Spas at a spa showcase that they had here in town, and everybody I dealt with was cool and easy to deal with, all the way through the financing. They even gave candies for me to chew on while I waited. The Twilight 7 had the right design and size, plus the pricing was right in what was expected. It's a basic spa with fancy lighting and a little waterfall if I want it. It's got a warranty and there are also plenty of jets in it. I've had it since February and I had one problem with it, which took a couple of trips out to get it fixed. On the left knee jet in the lounger, the hose was shorter than it needed to be and thus was impinged when they put the foam in it. Whoever the QA guy was that day should have seen that and shouldn't have allowed it to happen. Once we pulled all the foam out, it was a pain in the butt. But Master Spas' warranty service through their vendor has proven to be good since they stood up to their warranty.

We looked at the information that was available as far as the product, and they had a show. When we went to the show, we picked out what we wanted. There were a couple of reps there who were very knowledgeable about the product. Also, they were good about getting it scheduled to get out and deliver to us without any problems. We got a CLS Precision 7 and so far, we haven't had problems with it. It's got jets, lights and a fountain. It's got an internal marble-like finish and the cabinet's real nice. It works very well and the cost of it compared to other stuff that we were looking at was fair. Right now, everything works fine so I would recommend them.

The price was also somewhat a big factor why I bought it because most tubs in that quality were 15 grand. I paid about $11,000 so it was much cheaper. It feels strongly made and the jets are very powerful. It's good for a massage which is what I bought it for. And it's also easy to keep clean which I was worried about. I sleep like a baby now because of it. And it's also relaxing for my wife. If you're looking for a hot tub purchase it.

We purchased the Precision 7 from Master Spas. We went into the local hot tub place, Hot Tub Universe in Fall River, that was recommended by friends. We had lots of questions about hot tubs because we were interested in getting one. Neither of us has had one before, and we knew that we wanted to get something that would seat a fair number of people. Precision 7 was recommended to us by Hot Tub Universe. So, when we looked into it and thought about it, it was the one for us. It has lots of jets and it is a good size for us -- a mid-size one. The seating configuration does not include a lounger, which we did not want. Also, it has some colorful lights and it seems to be easy to take care of it for first-time hot tub buyers like us.

We love it and we are enjoying it just the two of us. We use it almost every day. We come home after the gym or after work and go for a deep in the hot tub or just a romantic deep late at night on the weekend in the hot tub. And so, it certainly enhanced the romance, the fun at parties and just overall relaxation. When we have parties, we have had lots of people in there and it is great. It was very good value. It certainly was within our budget of what we were looking for. We weren’t sure what kind of a hot tub we were going to get for our budget, but it exceeded our expectation.

We’ve had it since the beginning of November. We ran into a little bit of trouble in the early months with maintenance in terms of the chemicals, but a couple of phone calls to Hot Tub Universe and they walked us through it and that was it. It was quick and nothing major but we were able to store it out. And now the chemicals and maintenance are easy now. We have talked to friends who are thinking about hot tubs and we have recommended it.

The hot tub that we bought has a lot of features in it. But I like the other company because they’re local and if I need something, I can just reach out to them versus Master Spas, where I can only contact them via phone or e-mail. But the turnaround time when we have a concern has been usually three to five days. And it’s not bad. Also, the quality of the tub is excellent and we got a good buy on it. Master Spas is a reputable company. The last time I ordered filter, we got a different style. It’s a smaller filter than we’ve had. But I took their word for it and they’re working.

We owned a Master Spa years before, and we moved from one state to another so we left it. We needed another one and we bounced back and forth between them and a different brand, and we decided to get them again. Every time I talked to their reps, they seemed to explain what they needed to explain. I ended up purchasing one off the floor and everything went smoothly. During the installation, I opened up the screened area and it wasn’t quite high enough, so I ended up having to pick out another section and lift it up. I had the screen connected to it pushed up to one end, so the installers can get through and drop it back down. They put the tub where I wanted it and put in the handrails, and then we started putting it on one side. We knew exactly the hot tub we wanted, but we didn’t know exactly the steps we would have done. We tried it on one spot, then we moved it to other spot and we liked that spot better.

The only thing I did not like was if I have any problems, they charge a fee to come out because we're out of their area. But the tub is well-built and everything's going fine. I ended up spending more than I wanted to, but I didn’t have much choice since they're all expensive. Master Spas is a good brand overall. I would tell anybody to try them up and make sure to try out different brands as well. In some tubs, you float real easy out of the seats, and others you stay down a little bit better and even less when we do some floating.

When I went to look at the hot tubs in person, Master Spas had what I wanted and I already knew it was a good spa, so I bought it. The installation went very smoothly. When we were first hooking it up, I had an electrician over to the house ‘cause it had to be wired with a 240. He ran a separate line to the back of my house specifically for the spa and then he wired it.

Then I was having some trouble getting the spa going, though it wasn’t anything earth-shattering. I called the company down in Pennsylvania. I got somebody who switched me right over to a guy named Mike who talked me through that difficulty. He was very well-versed in his craft. Then I had another issue and Mike got me right through that one as well. He also left me his cell number in case I had any more problems. The spa is very high quality and I am extremely pleased. I use it for relaxation and it really helps with some medical issues I have. Everything works great and I highly recommend Master Spas.

I’m retired and I had a work-related injury that resulted in two back surgeries so I live with chronic pain day in and day out. I was spending a lot of time in the shower, three or four times a day just letting the hot water hit me. Hot water soothes me and I figured I should invest in a spa because of the warm water, especially for Winter. The Master Spas people were very professional and knowledgeable, and they told me everything I needed to know about a hot tub.

But the installation was kind of sketchy. I let them know that it was gonna be difficult for them to get it in my backyard and they brought it in sideways. They ended up scratching some of my vinyl siding, which I had just installed last year. And maybe when they turned it on its side, things broke on the inside of it. The hot tub has been leaking water since they installed it and one of the knobs that goes to the waterfall is leaking water as well. One of the panels from the hot tub wall also popped out and I tried putting it back in but it just won’t work.

I bought the hot tub that they had at the convention center where Master Spas was having a preview and I’m starting to wonder now if it was something that somebody else returned. It’s supposed to be brand new and I’ve only had it for a little over a month but all these little things have happened. The people in general have been great though, and that’s the only reason I still have the hot tub in my backyard. Otherwise, I would’ve drained it and told them to come and get their tub. But I’m gonna give them a chance to redeem themselves. I don’t wanna make any hasty decisions because it wasn’t cheap and it really does help me.

When I’m in the tub, I don’t even want to get out because it helps me feel good. It relieves a lot of the pain, tension and spasms that I have. As soon as I get out there and the cold air hits me from either the air conditioner or the breeze, I wanna run back into the hot tub. But if I’m gonna be having the headaches that I’ve been having with it lately, I don’t need more stress to my life. I’m hoping that they can take care of all these little issues and that I won’t have to have these issues for a while. I understand it’s in the gene and it’s gonna break, but it shouldn’t happen this soon. Despite that, I would tell others to go ahead and invest in a hot tub.

Master Spas had better prices than the other places that we looked at. My nephew also works there and we purchased the hot tub that was recommended to us. Some of the people there took the time to explain things. They were very good and helpful but some were not. But I was satisfied with the customer service overall. But when it was set up and put in our house, they didn’t explain anything. They just told us to put a cap of this, a cap of that, and a cap of that after so many hours, then they left. Customers have to make sure they know everything they need to know about taking care of the hot tub. Master Spas can have a teaching video that we can watch also.

I changed the water less than three weeks ago and it’s cloudy already and we’ve only been in it for a time. We got the new filter and the guy said they discontinued the other filter that we were using. They have issues keeping the water clear and this was when we were not even using the hot tub. It was weird. Also, that guy we talked to was a jerk. He was very sarcastic. We’ve also already had to replace the main panel on the hot tub. After I purchased a Master Spa at a spa show on Sunday, I spoke with a coworker regarding my purchase the next day. She asked if I checked them out because she'd had a bad experience with them as well as her friend's mother. I got online and started reading reviews. I found it suspicious that on this website a daily review appeared. I found it odd that a positive review was posted every day. I continued to look at other reviews on different websites (like the BBB) and found some very unsettling issues. In less than 24 hours I called to cancel but had to leave a message. No one returned my call, so I called on Tuesday morning. I was told I had to talk to 'Kevin' the general manager and was on hold for almost a half an hour. Eventually, 'Kevin' got on the phone.

I clearly stated I wanted to cancel, but he continued to pressure me into taking the hot tub. I expressed how concerned I was regarding the reviews. He gave me a song and dance about how all the reviews were written by spa dealers because they were upset about Master Spas disrupting their business. When I insisted on canceling, he told me that the spas were non-refundable and that I had to pay for the spa regardless if I take delivery or not. I was concerned and had nothing to refer to since I was not given copies my financing papers. When I asked for the phone number to Synchrony Bank (whom I financed through), I was told his computer was running slow, it would take a little time. So while I was waiting for the phone number, 'Kevin' continued to badger and cajole me to take delivery of the hot tub. Eventually I gave up, googled the bank number and called them.

I discovered that I have 72 hours in which to cancel and if the charge goes through I can dispute it. My husband called back and was told 'Kevin' was working on canceling the tub. Within an hour I received a phone call from Salt Lake City (the show was in Reno) that the tub would be in Reno the next day and he could deliver it then. Of course, I told him I had canceled the order. It wasn't until later that I began to wonder why my tub was not already in Reno since we picked it out at the show. What were they trying to pull? Today is Wednesday, it is now 72 hours since I bought the tub. An hour ago a man called from Master Spas. He said his name was Kevin and he was surprised that I had canceled the tub.

I reminded him that I already spoke with him the previous day and felt threatened that I was going to have to pay for the tub even if I didn't take delivery and that I know I have the right to cancel within 72 hours, which I did numerous times. He told me, he had NEVER SPOKE TO ME and that this was the first he was hearing about us canceling our tub. He also stated how he'd have to contact the manufacturer regarding sending the tub back. Again, wasn't the tub already in Reno? We picked it out at the show and put the serial number on the paperwork. I feel they are running their company through intimidation, lies and scamming customers. BUYERS BEWARE!!!

First of all, I don't ever post reviews online because I work a lot and really don't have the time, and because I really don't like speaking negatively about people in general anyway, but after this weekend I felt compelled to come on here and tell people about my short (but really irritating) experience with a Master Spas roadshow that we went to on Saturday. First of all, I guess it's my ignorance but I had no idea that a spa roadshow was only one brand. I had envisioned this huge event with all kinds of vendors displaying their products and fighting for customers. Instead, it was a showroom full of nothing but Master Spas and a room full of hungry salesmen. The products looked nice, so we looked around.

The salesman who will remain unnamed was very helpful at first and took me around to look at the various models they had on the floor. My wife and I picked the one we liked the most and he was able to give us a lot of information about the product as far as construction and stuff went. The gentleman spent a few minutes and was able to give us a price for the tub and explained how the delivery would go and as we were going over some details, I was simultaneously looking at reviews online on various spa forums I had found. The guy went on and on, and started getting very irritated that I was looking at reviews and information to verify the things he was telling me. There are hundreds and hundreds of reviews by angry customers regarding Master Spas and their crap products, as well as the lack of service and help with warranty repairs. There are enough of those reviews to scare off anybody.

Being new to the Hot Tub search, I had no idea that Master Spas was just a traveling Circus show nor did I know they didn't even have technicians that serviced large areas. So as I was scouring for info, he was getting irritated with me because he knew I was discovering the truth to discount all of the lies he had been feeding me for the previous 30 minutes.

He ended up slamming his book closed and basically telling me that I wasn't a serious customer because I was afraid to make a deal. Then the guy insults me by claiming that it was probably the money that was scaring me (lol, because I make more money in a week than he makes in 4 months). That was it. I packed up my family and walked out of the show and after a few days of more research, boy am I glad that I avoided that Mistake. For every one good review you can find of a Garbage Master Spas, I will find 10 negative ones for you to read. Stay away from these jokers, you'll be sorry. That's my 2 cents.

If you are about to buy a hot tub... research. I did a couple months of light research to narrow down manufacturers. Master Spas is one of the best manufactured as far as components and tub process/quality go... and manufactured in the USA, which is important to us. Once you are looking at a few specific manufacturers, figure out what you want... seats, loungers, waterfalls, lighting, audio, etc. Our goal was a truly therapeutic spa... getting older, etc.. etc, didn't need the stereo or over the top light show. There are lots of options. One key thing with your tub... make sure it has enough motors to run enough features that you may want to run simultaneously. Some tubs you have to turn off lounger to get waterfall or something else. Get the most pumps your money will buy.

Electricity - running 240 to the area your tub will sit may not be a trivial expense. And follow the manufacturers guidelines. One main problem you see in researching reviews is people skimping and not having proper or in some cases, unsafe electrical connections. The tub costs enough that it is truly an investment... treat as such.

The purchase.... we had narrowed down the tub, and figured out who the local distributor was and were about to go to their store when they actually notified us about a "Spa Show". We ended up buying at the show. Whether we got a better price or not... who knows, but the manufacturer is at the show with the distributor and gave some concessions and threw in some stuff. Everything is a negotiation, even hot tubs. We paid up front, didn't finance, though they will finance you on the spot. Therapeutic spas are not cheap (and if you want a big bath tub with weak jets... spend the money in your bathroom). Our retailer in the north Houston area, Primo Spas, has been excellent, zero complaints.

So now you bought a tub... and the electrician has run your connection. Now research your spa's startup procedures. There are videos on YouTube... online manufacturers videos and owner manuals, etc. Watch them and read the manuals. Another thing you see in these reviews is people whining about not helping with chemicals or startup. The info is out there, and you are going to have to learn how to do it. I suggest you do it before your tub gets there. It took me less than a couple days to get everything balanced by following directions.

Our delivery was uneventful, and electrician showed up on time to hook up the hot tub... filled up with water, and we were up and running. As stated only a couple days to balance the water where it maintained its balance (following directions). The tub is awesome, relaxing, sleeping better, killing off a few aches and pains is great. Figure out what you want. Don't skimp and follow directions... can probably be said about anything you buy. Either way our experience has been great.

We opened the pool it has 5 inch of dirty water in it. Filthy pool we spent $25.000. I called on Sat. Spoke to one of the guys. I was told “Sorry but nothing we can do“.

I am very upset. Will keep writing bad reviews. We are not wealthy. This is a lot of money. The man who I spoke to said, "Get in the pool and just clean it out." I’m disabled! I can’t just go do. My husband is trying to get the entire spa put together so I’m able to do my therapy. It’s not so easy... we are at a loss for words. Pls don’t purchase from Master Swim Spa. They only cared to get the money. Once we signed it was so hard to reach them. Always told call back! Bad bad run from this company. Very discouraged. We had a few referrals. We told them not to go with them.

They will reach out to you and your husband shortly to see what we can do to help you. Unfortunately, since we are only the manufacturer of the swim spas, we don't have much control over the dealers communication or relations with their customers and we don't often get to hear about these situations until later, so we appreciate you letting us know about this situation. I purchased a Master Spas Twilight Series 8.2 from Aqua Haven in OKC in November 2017. My wife and I had been looking for a replacement for a 10 year old hot tub that had developed a leak, that I could not find someone to make needed repairs. We looked at several different SPA companies and decided on the Twilight 8.2. We liked the jet's configuration and the sound system and lighting was definitely a perk.

After delivery, I was able to get electrician to make the new connections, as they were in different location than previous hot tub. Filled with water and went thru startup steps. Insufficient heat. A call to Aqua Haven and removing filters as they recommended, with no improvement. They then made a house call, (we live roughly 50 miles from them) and determined it had been modified to work lights for the fairgrounds show and not properly reconnected internally, which they fixed at no cost to me. The heater then started working.

Of the last 6 times I tried to enjoy the new hot tub, only once was I able to enjoy "hot" tub. All the other times an error message appeared indicating dry heater or a flow issue. Apparently the circulation pump is inadequate, or the filters just clogged with one spa use. I have owned 2 spas for over 10 years each, never experiencing this issue. I did have a replacement set of filters to install while cleaning overnight. Both of those spas used pump 1 on low setting for circulation. I read another user's review who also seemed to have this circulation issue. Is this a design flaw? Faulty filters? I don't understand why that other reviewer gave 5 stars with a circulation issue, but oh well. I really would like to enjoy this spa.

Primo and Master Spas are terrible. I purchased my swim spa in 2016, and it arrived broke. The heater wasn't working upon arrival. It took several MONTHS to fix. Then the speakers went out. That took MONTHS to fix. There has been one issue after another with this swim spa. Worse purchase ever. Also, it is difficult to get them to come out to do the repairs... Even though you have a warranty. I had leaks in my swim spa since October that Primo and Master Spas hasn't repaired yet. I ended up filing suit in January 2018.

I gave 2 stars based on the spa is nice, I bought this spa and had it delivered early February 2018. Since then 2 jets have stopped working due to the adjustable ring failing to turn and locked into position. So with their 2-year warranty I called in a repair order. They told me who to call, once calling him I am advised that there is a $94 service charge which Master Spas doesn't pay. So my warranty reads they cover parts and labor says nothing about service charges, come to find out they only fully cover their spas for 30 days after that it is the owner's responsibility to pay the service charge. This is the first company I have ever dealt with where the consumer of a product has to pay for a service charge. This company makes a product in the USA and fails to fully cover their product for the 2 years, the parts and labor for this repair would be less than the $94 service charge. Cannot recommend them and never will...

We liked the looks of the Master Spa and the two-year warranty was nice. Looking at the filtering system and the size, we chose a tub from the Twilight Series. It's our first hot tub but we know people with hot tubs and this was by far the nicest one we've been in. The tub is great after working outside in the yard. The grandkids also come over and sit around in it. It's nice to have. I'd tell others to definitely consider buying one from Master Spas. The cost and the quality were good too. The price was what I expected to pay for something like that. We had some problems with some jets that weren't rotating but they said they had a bad bunch of jets and they sent a bunch of replacement ones. And so far, everything's been good. They had fast service too.

After looking at all the different models and talking with the sales, I narrowed down to Healthy Living, the one we ended up getting. It was a better price than some of the other ones. They also had a good staff working with us and the quality seems great too. The positioning of the jets and the way the jets work are my favorite things about it. Now we're able to come home and relax after a long day at work, and have family time.

We like that Master Spas products are locally manufactured. They had a really nice selection. And one of our friends has one and we really liked theirs. They talked highly of it. The people there in the showroom that showed us the products and helped us with our selection were great, and it was just an all-around, really good experience. It wasn’t pressure sales. I’m a retiring mechanical engineer and I liked the way the salesman talked with me about the features and the maintenance and the care of the thing. That was one of my big concerns going into. It was how much effort it would take and it’s really been almost effortless.

There was a nice and big selection there in the showroom to look at from the smaller ones to the really larger ones. We were looking for more of a middle of the road type of spa. There’s some with all the bells and whistles but we didn’t really need that for how we planned on using it. Master Spas Clarity fits the bill for us. I’m retired and it’s more for just relaxation and we like the massaging action of that one. There's one massaging jet in the corner that I really like, it’s got multiple jets there. And the tub is a good fit size, too. It’s a family investment. We’ve got eight grandchildren and they’ve already taken a couple of dips. I know the kids like the lights in the evening when we’re sitting out there.

My wife’s still working, and it’s really been helpful for her. She’s on her feet a lot and she works in a nursing home as an admissions coordinator and activity person. And she comes home after a hard day at the home there and she really enjoys the warmth and the relaxation of the spa. For the two of us, it’s good “Me” time. ’ve been pleased too with the utility bills since we’ve installed it. We’ve had the heater on all winter here and they were right on as far as the amount of energy it would take in the cold months so it’s been great. The chemicals that they provided as a startup kit has lasted me all through the winter here or for about 6 months. I’m about to purchase some more but it’s been great.

It’s been a great addition to us. My wife grew up with an in-ground swimming pool so that’s one thing she kind of missed over the years and we talked about it on our property here, maybe putting one in. But at this point in our life it just didn’t make sense. But now that we’ve got one again I tease her all the time, it’s like we shed 10 years off our lives. We feel much younger with more energy.

I liked the product reputation and price of Master Spas. I bought a three-person Twilight Series spa from them and their team did a good job. The size of my spa was a good fit and the company was running a three-day weekend expo so they had special pricing available. My spa just has the basic features like the whirlpool jets, and it is digital and has got lights. There is quite a bit of fiberglass that’s being used in spas now and time will tell how my hot tub will hold up, but so far it seems to be okay. I enjoy relaxing in it almost every evening. I use it five times a week and I keep telling my wife that she needs to use it more. I've noticed, though, that I have one jet that's working, but it tends to come on and go off repeatedly. That’s unusual and I've called the dealership about it. However, they weren’t able to explain it and they didn’t want to make a service call unless the jet is actually broken, but I'd like them to check on that surging in the jet.

I wanted a spa for years and I saw Master Spas in one of those spa sales show. I felt I got a really good deal with them so we bought a Twilight Series spa. It was the most expensive one that we could have bought but we didn't want a better one because it was just for two people. If it wasn’t for the price for that model, there's no way I could really purchase another one. And I'm really glad I did because I got the hydrotherapy and that was exactly what we wanted. Their rep smelled a lot like alcohol at 11:00 in the morning. Nonetheless, he seemed knowledgeable and I had a good experience.

I really like our spa a lot. The rep said that I can keep the water in there up to a year but I normally change the water every month or so. I only use it both days in the morning on the weekends and a few times at night, and there's just two of us. I've had it for eight months now and I've changed the water 10 times already. I would definitely recommend the Twilight Series. It has helped me with sleeping a lot and I really enjoy the weekends having my coffee in there. They're well worth the money. If you want a good spa with some jets, definitely look into the Twilight Series.

I’m a hundred percent disabled veteran and I struggle with chronic pain. I'm trying to deal with it in natural ways and I did a lot of research into hot tubs. I have a good friend in Fort Wayne with some family who works for Master Spas and I like the quality and the fact that it's US-made. I met the owner of the franchise and he was a really nice guy. They sat there and listened to what I would utilize it for and we tried out a few different types. We went with the spa from The Twilight Series. The actual sales team went over everything having to do with the spa so they were really great.

We have a very tight area and their installation team went above and beyond in getting the tub in my backyard. It probably would’ve been easier to get a crane but they ended up getting it in the backyard with no damage. However, the code of a dry pump kept lighting up and I talked to them. But after buying an almost 13-thousand jacuzzi, having it for three months and having issues with it already, I would still have to pay a 150-dollar service fee for somebody to come out to look at it. I didn't agree with that and we ended up paying out of our pocket. They gave me a person that fixes spas in the area but working with them was horrible. We finally found a person through networking that worked on Masters Spas and the issue was the filters. For some reason, the filters on the Master Spa go quickly and they resolved the issue.

That aside, the tub actually exceeds my expectations. I really enjoy it. I like the fact that mine has two loungers. It's a deep seat and the jets also cover pretty much everything, my back, my shoulders and my neck so it really works out great. I literally use the tub every single day and it really helps out. There are a couple of little flaws on it but those are little things that I can live with. I would like to get it fixed but I would rather suck it up than have to deal with having to pay to have somebody come out for a product that I’ve had less than a year now.

I bought a hydro jet spa from Master Spas. It has alloted two places for people to lie down and lay back with lots of jets from the back and legs. But delivery was like a three-day process and it was supposed to be one day. And it was like five hours late on the third day. And it was just Murphy’s Law, big time for that. And the people who scheduled deliveries made the mistake of telling me, “Well, you were scheduled today. But we bumped people in front of you." Now that was like almost the killer deal. It was just extremely bad customer service. But it got here and they got everything together. And except for delivery everything's been fine.

We've called with a lot of questions about the chemicals because we can't seem to get that right and they were always extremely helpful. And we think we finally got that figured out. It was just my husband reading incorrectly. We also absolutely adore the tub. We did it when it's 30 degrees outside and then we don't like to get out. We use it at least four times a week, if not more. It's just added a lot more relaxation and got rid of all the stress. We just go out there and sit and talk and it's wonderful. And I feel a whole lot better. We can get the same type of thing somewhere else for cheaper. But that actually at the time wasn't an issue for us. The tub is just the exact one that we wanted. We like it and we love it. The product was great. I hope we don't have to buy another one. But if we did we'd probably call them.

We purchased the 9' x 9' hot tub from the Michael Phelps line of Master Spas. We like the features, the amount ot jets, three pumps with two variable speeds, the jets configuration, how the seats were set up and the quality of the workmanship. We had a service guy come out and helped us with the chemicals a few days ago and it was a good visit.

But we've still got some issues that we haven't resolved. We got a software or computer controller issue. The app that controls the hot tub that you're supposed to be able to control from your phone is about worthless. I've yet to be able to actually use it in a worthwhile fashion to the point where I want a service person to come out and show us how to set it up because it's not set up. The music system was never enabled in our hot tub. So we're sitting here with the inability to actually use the speakers that are in our hot tub when we paid for that feature.

My biggest comment is Master Spas needs to evaluate Balboa Water Group and decide if that's really who they want to go with for their controller if the apps are pretty much worthless. You can even notice that on the reviews customers left in the app store on Apple and Google. It would have influenced my decision if I would have known that when I was purchasing the spa. But the spas are very good. The pumps are great. It runs quietly and efficiently. There hasn't been any problem with the mainteinance or upkeep. You just have to make sure that it's fully setup before the installation team leave, including showing, hooking up the Wi-Fi and the music systems.

I'm a sales guy too, so I'm critical about all that kind of stuff. The fact that their products were locally made in the United States was a selling feature. I work for a company that does US manufacturing as well and we need to come back and support US products at will. Master Spas also happened to be up in Indiana, so they were close to me. I got the Twilight 8.2 Model and I like it a lot. It has 42 jets and the sets of jets for massaging the foot, neck, and shoulder are my favorites. It also has a dedicated re-circulating pump, LED lights, and a lounger.

The hot tub adds relaxation at night and that's really the key. I get in it half the nights as my chance to unwind from a busy day of work. It was expensive and cost more than I planned on spending. But after talking to the sales guys and the owner of the company, I went ahead and bit the bullet. I hope that it lives up to my expectations, everything's going to work out, and it's going to last a good long time. Longevity is hard to rate in the very beginning when you have something that's brand-new. But I have faith in the system. I've only had the tub for a month and so far, it's been fantastic and I'm a happy customer. I would tell others that it's not the cheapest spa in town but with Master Spas, I got what I paid for.

We've had a spa for about 20 years and it needed to be repaired. It had a wooden cabinet which took a terrible toll from the weather here in South Florida so my lovely wife thought to go and look for a new spa. She found one at Master Spas, Inc. that she liked so we bought it. It's a six-person spa and the fellow that sold it to us was very nice and very helpful. He was very pleasant and he was not overly aggressive. He wasn't constantly trying to upsell me and he didn't badmouth the competition. Financing was also great.

However, I had some minor delivery issues. They couldn't get into my backyard to deliver the spa and we had to get a crane to lift the spa over my house. But where I live, that was not uncommon. I live very close to the beach, we don't have overly large side yard, and my yard is fenced. I went to the dealer located in West Palm Beach and I was able to resolve those issues with the customer service reps at the dealership. They have been very pleasant. It was a pain in the neck though because I had to wait for a crane and cranes are not available on instant demand.

Beyond that, my only concern was that when they finally got the spa put in, the installer hooked up all the plumbing but said that they don't do the electrical. They said that we have to call an electrician to come and hook up the six wires. It wasn't so much the cost of having the electrician come to hook it up, it was the inconvenience of having the thing sit on site and not be able to use it because I couldn't get an electrician. I wish they told us when they came to install the spa that their crew did not include a qualified electrician.

Also, the schedule that they give the customers in terms of the application of the chemicals that they provided seems to be overkill. It seems to be largely designed to use up the product at a rapid rate so that you could come back and buy more. Other than that, the product is nice and my wife loves it. She tells me how happy she is with the spa every time she uses it. All in all, we're very satisfied and I would recommend both the product and the dealer.

What happened was we bought the hot tub and it had a cloth stuck in it through the pipeline. After that, we had to get a new motor on it and this was supposed to be a brand new tub. I couldn't use the tub and I couldn’t get any help from them when I called.

My husband called Master Spas directly and said, "What's up with this? It's supposed to be a lifetime warranty." Apparently, it's not a lifetime warranty. Once they sell it to you, you have to go to these individual dealers to get the parts. So, all of that stuff was not covered. We had to pay for everything and I was unhappy. We had a Master Spa before that and we loved it. I think it was more who we bought it from. It was the worst experience, it was horrible. I've read other reviews that were very similar. I will never ever buy a Master Spa again.

I love the product, I don’t like how they treat you after you bought it. And we had to pay additional new motors whenever anyone comes out to my house to look at my spa from just a 15-minute drive. The technician charged me $87 to look at my spa. Then, he went to this little strip mall, got the part, came back and then they charged me another $150 for the part. So, everything that they said when they said, "Oh, all your parts are covered and all that," that was a total lie. Never again will we ever go down that line.

    Response from Master Spas

Hi Karen. We're so sorry to hear about this. As you mentioned in your review, it sounds like the issues lied more with your dealer than the product itself. Unfortunately, since we only manufacture the spas we don't get to have much of a hand in the purchasing and post-purchase experiences with our dealers. I'm assuming since you're in Lancaster, you were dealing with Rainbow Pools & Spas. We have several dealers in Ohio, including Maumee, Lima, Cincinnati, Mayfield, & Findlay. Although they aren't as conveniently located as Rainbow Pools, I'm sure they would be happy to help you. If you would like the contact information for any of those locations, feel free to email me at khess@masterspas.com. Also, all of our parts can be purchased online and delivered to your house. Here's a link to one of our online retailers: https://www.masterspaparts.com/

Again, we're so sorry to hear about the troubles you've been having with your dealer. We appreciate your honest feedback and hope that you see improvement with your service soon.

There was a symposium with a bunch of hot tubs displayed on the floor in the convention center in St. Lucie. The salesperson was what sold us to get Master Spas but when we did a research, we found out that Master Spas was one of the higher ranking spas around and that helped us in deciding as well. Their team was very professional and courteous. We bought the triangular spa for three people and I’m very pleased with it. It has the heater, the waterfall feature, the lights, and the ability to adjust all the heads. We've had it for over a year now and we use it three or four times a week. I have a surgically repaired back and it makes a difference when I get home from either fishing, golfing or some other strenuous activity. It helps my muscles to lighten up a little bit and not be so tense.
