The Master Spas sales team was pretty good. They were a little on the high-pressure sales side but I'm accustomed to that. I didn't want the spa delivered until I had to pay for it. So from the time of purchase, the customer service gave me six months on delivery. I called them up when I was ready and I gave them two weeks to get the outdoor spa to me and it came right on time. The two young men that they sent here to put it up were very polite and they knew what they were doing. They came in, did their job and left. From a quality standpoint, it's a little overpriced compared to what I've seen since. I do my own installation including electrical hook up so I know what the internals are. I checked everything in there and they are very comparable to what I could have gotten for 800 to 1000 less. But I'm satisfied with Master Spas and the service has been outstanding.

We bought a three-person spa from Master Spas. They made it sound like it fits where we needed it to fit. They also said that it’s easy to keep the water fresh and clean, but that has not turned out to be true. We’re a little disappointed because the method they told us didn't work and it has been more work for us. They should have been more transparent with describing maintenance. Also, one thing I've noticed is that initially, the waterfall feature poured water out in a smooth stream, so it had a wall of water. Now it splits up into streams, giving breaks in that wall of water. The color of the water is very unappealing to me as well. But Master Spas made the purchase real easy and the spa was delivered quickly. My husband also had some questions initially and their team responded.

This was the worst $9000 I have ever spent. I bought the Twilight 7.2, and I have had it filled since the end of August. It is now the second week in October and we can’t even use it. The heater is constantly faulting out. We were told to change the filters every three hours until it was running right again. We cannot go more than about eight hours without having to clean the filters. We have city water, only my boyfriend and I use it (no hanky lanky in the tub), no pets have been it, and we shower daily. We haven’t been able to use it in three days because every time we go out to use it we have to clean the filters again and the temp fell too low to enjoy. I will never purchase this brand again. This is just a showpiece at the house that we can’t enjoy.
Hi Colleen. We're so sorry to hear that you haven't had a pleasant experience with your spa so far, I've forwarded your feedback on to our corporate customer care department. We had a hot tub before like what we saw at an expo and my husband wanted another one. We had bought a pool from the lady at the Master Spas dealer at Above & Beyond and we loved her so we went ahead and bought the tub. I wouldn’t have bought it had it not been for knowing her. Also, my husband got on the Master Spas website and they had an awesome video. He said he would have bought a Master Spas just on that video of whatever song that the company sang. The tub has that feature that makes the water soft. It also has lights, different jets and a waterfall thing. But, as good as the company was last time, they were crappy this time.
We got our spa delivered and there was a front clip broken so the spa started leaking right after we filled it up. My husband emailed pictures to the Above & Beyond people and nobody has come out to look at it. The people that delivered it said we were going to get a clip but we still haven’t. My husband has called them and he's disappointed that we spent that much on a hot tub and not getting any response on taking care of it. He's getting ready to send it back and tell them to shove it.

We were looking around and we found that place in Huntington. They had really nice stuff and they were very good and had a good price. We purchased a Master Spas 8-foot hot tub. Their team was good. They delivered it, put the base in, and sent someone here to show us how to use it. Everything worked out very well. We love it. Everything’s great. It was a little expensive, but it was worth it. I even recommended it to somebody today. They did a great job. What they said they were going to do, they gave, which is important.
Hi Carmine! We love that you're loving your spa! Thank you for the feedback.

Master Spas is rated very high on consumer feedback on different websites. I have a large family so I purchased the Precision model from them. The quality is good and it was fairly-priced. The sales team went above and beyond, and most of our interactions was done via email since they were out of our area. But it was good. The hot tub was good to have and we were in it all weekend. The only concern that I had was there was an issue with the filter that I haven't resolved yet, but that's about it. So far, so good.
Hi Bill! I'm glad that your experience with our company has lived up to expectations. If you're still having an issue with that filter, I would suggest emailing customerservice@masterspas.com - they'll make sure you get taken care of. Thanks for the feedback!

At the end of August, we purchased an eight or seven-seater Master Spas hot tub from Niagara Hot Tubs. Though this is my first one, my wife's family had one and there were certain things we wanted to check. The insulation on the back and the way it was plumbed are some of the reasons I looked at it. I also took into consideration that you could move the jets from port to port if you wanted to set up a chair differently and that it's made in Utah or in Canada. They both have the same weather and have hot and cold climates. It was also the right size for my family.
The other hot tubs didn't offer the same options at the price point we were looking at. Master Spas gave more value for my money than the other companies that we looked at. Plus, the price was at the right place for what we got. The configuration worked and my family loves it. So far, someone from my family is in it every day, whether in the morning when two of my kids jump in it before they go to school or when they come home. It would get used all-year-round. I would recommend them.

I went to a Master Spas sale at Fifth Third Ballpark last year and looked at their products. I went back this year and the salesman sold me a hot tub and I got the Clarity. It has an LED lighting, padded corners, one lounger, four seats and the cartridge filters. The people that came out to drop the hot tub off was very informative. They let me know everything and set me up real nice. It's a little expensive but it’s better priced compared to some out there. I paid $6,000 and I was happy with it.

We got the Momentum from Master Spas. They did a good job in the pre-sales process, bringing it out there to their showroom and having a couple for us to test. We looked at the other ones that they had on but the resistance is not strong enough for me to go with the Michael Phelps brand. The other brand was H2X. We tried that one, it wasn't strong enough. There was a salesman, Michael, and my interaction with him has all been pretty good. They delivered it about three weeks ago and it's getting power this week. And so far so good.

I looked at a lot of therapeutic type spas and Master Spas was the best. Some spas were expensive and some less expensive, but none were as good. I got the Legacy 800 since the 900 was huge and the 700 didn't have the two lumbar jests that hit really hard. Their team was knowledgeable and addressed all my questions and issues. Their delivery crew was nice and knew what they were doing. The guy who explained stuff to me knew what he was talking about and was able to explain it to me perfectly.
It was expensive, but I got what I paid for. It is a really, really high-quality spa and the pumps are powerful. Most of the other cheaper spas may have all the sprayers, but the jets don't push very hard. If somebody wants to buy a therapeutic type spa that is really going to help their back, then there is really no other option.

We bought a Master Spas hot tub after we saw it on a home show. We liked it and it had a good price. We got it four years ago and just had a problem with it. We needed to have the motor replaced and it was a hassle. They were supposed to replace the part under warranty, but we got a pretty good runaround from whoever we talked to in getting the part.
The hot tub was delivered to our second home in Michigan, but I had accidentally put our home address in Indiana. They said they were not going to cover it under warranty because they thought we had moved it, even if we never did. I'm not happy and we're still trying to figure that issue out. I finally talked to one of the managers and, as far as I know, the part was supposed to be sent to the contractor that's going to do the work. Hopefully, that has happened, but I still need to follow up on that. For the most part, we enjoy having the tub.
Hi Leah! I will have one of our customer care team members reach out to you to follow up on this. Thank you for the feedback.

I got the Essex hot tub from Master Spas. I like their price and the quality was better compared to other manufacturers. I bought the hot tub at a show in New Hampshire and I met with the salesman who talked to us about it. He said four to six weeks but it was 10 weeks so, that was a disappointment. We picked the hot tub up, they helped us lower it on the truck and they walked us through how to use the chemicals and to test it. I had used Jacuzzi before and its jets are stronger compared to Master Spas. Other than that, Master Spas is a high-quality hot tub.

We purchased a Master Spas' Momentum D where they separated the swim and the spa sections so that you could have two different temperatures between the two sections. We researched around online, then went into one of their showrooms and tried out the spa. We also looked at a lot of other swim spas, but the main consideration was the swim experience. With a lot of the other swim spas, you swim against a jet and it was like swimming in a washing machine. Whereas the Momentum uses a current and you can see the bottom.
The pre-sales was very good. I received many emails, but they were targeted and weren't just blasted, so good information was coming out of the pre-sales. Post-sales was okay, but not too fantastic. I'm still waiting for the replacement of a couple of faulty parts but they've been responsive and attentive to my calls and to the process. We definitely paid a premium for their experience and technology, but it has proved worth the extra. However, some things could have been better. The quality wasn't quite there in some parts of the spa, specifically the Wi-Fi app, as well as a couple of other things. And I'm still waiting for the resolution to those.
There was a delay between the delivery and the setup of the spa, though it was partially my fault because I was traveling. The guy who delivered the spa didn't know much about the spa itself, but fair enough. His job is to deliver, not to ask questions. But then it took a couple of weeks before somebody actually came out to set-up and run through the spa. It would have been good if those were quoted together and there was more post-sales service immediately following the delivery where they tell you to do this or don't do that. that.

I wanted to be able to swim in my backyard year-round without having to do an indoor pool, so I got a Michael Phelps Swim Spa from Master Spas. I also considered The Endless Pool, but The Michael Phelps' pool motor was contained in the unit, so it didn't stick out in the swim area. It was also quieter. Though I'm not thrilled about the cheap vinyl exterior shell that Master Spas used. I got to figure out a way to cover that. But otherwise so far, so good. I'm also not sure about the wood framing, that could have been aluminum or something more sturdy, but time will tell. I just had the spa for a couple of weeks, but I've used it a bunch and I like it.

I was originally looking at an endless pool, but as soon as Doug showed me the Michael Phelps and some of the things they’ve done, we were sold. Doug was the deciding factor, but I’ve water skied all of my life and I liked the fact that the Phelps pool has a propeller in it which is a technology that I'm very familiar with. My wife and I also liked that the Phelps pool is flat in the back, so we have more swim area. If we want to sit down, we can do it on the spa. There’re three seats at the back and the fact that that we can dial the pool in with our iPad makes it even nicer ‘cause everything is technology-based now. The pool is well-designed and at a fair price. Plus, Doug was wonderful and professional to work with and got me the electrician when we were building. He couldn’t help us enough and he made sure we got the right one.
The Phelps pool works perfectly for our purposes, and we decided the one we wanted was the Signature. Plexiglass would not be enough to separate the temperatures in the larger pool with a separated hot tub. Putting a piece of fiberglass would’ve made all the difference in the world to us and we would have upgraded to the next level. I also ended up going with the End 2 End cover on the Signature, but if they had the Axis cover for the Signature at the time, I would have purchased it. We built a garage for the spa to go into plus I have a ski boat, so we wanted a nice-sized garage to put it into the max.
We’re heating the garage and having the pool in there during the winter and it’s coming out well. Master Spas got the pool in and it’s exactly where I want it to be, but I had an accident and broke my clavicle, so we didn’t put the pool up yet. Master Spas has been great and as soon as we get the pool filled up and everything arranged, I’m certainly going to post a picture. We love the pool and we can’t wait to get it hooked up and ready to run.
Hi Rod! We're so happy to hear that you've had such great experiences with our company and our product! Thank you so much for the kind feedback, we appreciate it!

We bought a small corner spa that we wanted to put inside of a sunroom. One of the huge selling points was how well-insulated it is and I agree with the fiberglass which is definitely nice and strong. However, we did not get the one that we had talked to the salesperson about. There was supposed to be a small pump in there that runs to circulate water and that was like a third pump but when we got the machine, it was not that way. It had two very large pumps in it and they said to run those 24 hours a day. We paid a lot of money for this thing and a large pump costs a lot to run and to replace when it decides to quit because it's running all the time.
The spa seems to work well but we never really got any training on how to set up the timer or how to adjust chemicals and I've had to figure these things out the best I can on my own so it was very poor service. But what I'm really concerned about is the longevity of the pump and how much it is going to cost, and what really upsets me is that the absolutely no customer service. I told Michelle, the owner of the franchise here in the city, that I was going to call the manufacturer and put in a bad word for it. But she said she'd be more than happy to take care of it no matter what.
She said she'd be more than happy to drive up here to St. Joe. It's probably 60 miles away and she never did that. She had sent me an email to keep in contact but I never heard another thing from her and that's been three weeks ago. For the money I spent for them and then to be treated that way, it was like all they are worried about was the money. I would never buy anything from them again.

I would have gone with Artesian, which is the spa that I had for 20 years, but Crocker Sales no longer carries it and they recommended Master Spas. I have a history with Crocker, and I liked their attention to customer service. The power on the Master Spas was not quite as strong as the Artesian and I’m not pleased with the plastic steps. They’re lightweight and I’m afraid this winter that they’re going to have a tendency to be very slippery. Plus, it does not have a grip handle. I’m 70 years old, so it’s very precarious to get in and out of the spa.
The rep Amanda was very upbeat and nice. She offered to let us do a demo which we didn’t do, and I’m fine with that. There was a little switching in and out of colors, and the delivery was a whole different story. When the electrician was hooking it up, I was a little taken back by the fact that there’s no installation inside. It’s state-of-the-art stuff where the foam isn't done anymore and it looks like there’s an aluminum material around the tub, but the whole inside is not insulated which concerned me. However, I love the spa. It’s nice and I hope it’s going to be as environmentally efficient as was sold to us.

I was in the market for a swim spa and I didn't want a jet-style one. I wanted a propulsion system so I looked at Master Spas and Endless Pools since they were the only two manufacturers that do propulsion systems in a swim spa. The Michael Phelps Momentum spa has been very good and I mostly use its propulsion system. However, I have some service issues that need to be taken care of and Master Spas does not have a store in Las Vegas. They subcontract their service out to a third party and I've found that their third-party representation is lacking. It's obvious that Master Spas is not the third party's only customer. Master Spas will soon have a local office and eventually their third-party contractor will go away and Master Spas will become the sole representative and service arm in Vegas. But until that happens, I'm not dealing with the third-party contractor.

We saw an advertisement where Master Spas had a spa expo. I had a couple of spas in the past, and for no particular reason, we went there. I liked the look of the 8’ x 8’ spa and we ended up with it. The only snag so far that we had is they delivered a spa with no steps. Then a week or two later, they brought the steps, and they looked like they got ran through a shredding machine. I understand about the floor, but the steps have been abused. They were just scratched and torn up and not very nice. But other than that, no problems. The delivery people local in Vegas will get me a new pair since they have it here. They only brought the steps on Friday, and the rep said it would take a little while to get the new ones, but supposedly, it's resolved.

I liked the overall construction of the Twilight 8.3 and that it’s assembled with a lot of American made parts instead of foreign parts. The gal from Master Spas who sold me the tub was pretty knowledgeable but all I got was conflicting stories from every other person who worked there. They told me about the features of one tub, demonstrated it and that's what I bought. But when they delivered, I got something else. I made them take it back but when they brought the second tub, it was still not the one I ordered.
After talking with Master Spas head office here in Fort Collins, Colorado, I still got no resolution. I was told what I got was bigger and better but nobody could explain the features that I got and why it's better. I got one additional feature which they threw in for free and that's a positive on them. But all the rest of it was an absolutely horrible situation. Also, when they delivered it, the guy gave me the quick five-minute tour and was out the door. He forgot that he's done this 1000 times and I've done it once. And when I bought the tub, I got a $200 credit but now they’re saying that’s all gone. They brought me stuff for the $200 credit but I didn't get any of that so I lost 200 bucks there.
I emailed corporate about the two problems that I have on their website but I haven't heard from them and that's been months. It's also signed on my contract that if there were problems, they would send a service tech out and I've yet to see that. When I step back and think about it, it’s like I was buying a used car. Not that I want to slam used-car salesmen, but it's all the shuck and jive. The owner even got on the phone the first day I was trying to buy the tub and tried to sell me the world. Then I bought what I wanted and paid tens of thousands for it, but I didn't get that and got a different product. I would never recommend Master Spas.

When we purchased our spa we were so excited and couldn't wait to enjoy it. It has been over 2 months and we still have a broken SPA. The day it was delivered it had a significant leak (things happen I get it) so I proceeded to call and have it resolved. It took almost 2 weeks just to get a service technician out to the house. He came out and did stop the leak but only partially resealed the spa. He told me there was a significant amount of glue on the jet housing and it needed to be replaced and he would be back out when the parts arrived. Well it’s been 2 months and it’s still not fixed. I have had the foam ripped of the bottom of the spa and there it sits waiting to be fixed. Please do NOT purchase from these people. The true measure of a company is customer service. Anyone can deliver a tub with hot water. This company does not believe in customer service. Don't make the same mistake I did. Please!!!

I went into the Master Spas dealer and ended up purchasing a Twilight 6.2. I was sold on its size, all the updates and the efficiency. It's got this filtration system to make the tub easier to maintain the water chemicals. The reps were knowledgeable, answered my questions and made suggestions. The installation done wasn’t the normal where you just bring the tub to replace another. I had one that was in the deck, so I had to get people to seal the deck, put concrete footings on it for the additional weight on top, and electricians. The reps were helpful with that. They gave me the name of a good electrician that they work with, and that helped out. Those modifications cost me a little more but leaving that out of the equation, the tub was comparable to all the rest in terms of price. We’ve had it since June and everybody loves it; my wife, my niece, everybody that uses it. As I am getting older, it also helps me with some aches I'm getting and it feels good.
However, the first problem has come up and I'm just hoping this is the last for a long time. I have a warranty service appointment next week because one of the features is not working properly. There's a water feature that usually comes out with power and it looks like a waterfall. Now, it's just trickling out. It started last week and I just went to the dealer and told them the problem. Overall, it's a good product and I'm happy with it. I would recommend it, and let people come sit in and use it and see what they think.

We purchased a hot tub from Master Spas because it had everything we need. They gave us a really good deal on it and it was a good hot tub. It has jets on our legs, back and lower back. That's what we always wanted. We had one spa that we got and it was a lemon. It didn’t turn out so well but they sent us a new one and this one seems to be doing okay. Their customer service team did what they can and try every way to make sure we get what we need. We spend a lot of time in the hot tub relaxing. So far, they've done what they said they were going to do.

We are loyal to the Spa Emporium because we've purchased from them before. We have had also gotten maintenance through them. We spent quite a bit of time with them talking about all the different things that we needed and we were looking more for circulation and healthy body recovery, versus just for relaxation and massage. They recommended Healthy Living, the seven by seven, from Master Spas and we trust them so we went with that for its aesthetic, features and size.
Now, we use it literally every single day. It accommodated our family needs and we absolutely love the hot tub. We like the number of jets that hit the shoulders, the waterfall spouts and the configuration of the spa. The quality is excellent too and we've had an easy experience. My husband, my kids and I use the hot tub so it's a significant value for our family. It has been wonderful and a great value for the price as well.

We purchased a Master Spas hot tub from the sales rep at a convention that we went to. It had more jets in it than most of the other ones and we were told that because it had a three pump system that it would run all the jets at the same time. They sold it to us as a turnkey deal and ended up not being what we expected when they got out here to install it.
They installed it on a Sunday afternoon and didn't finish until almost 10:30 at night. Then we had to wait for the electrician to come out to be able to get any type of demonstration on how to use it which we never really got. We were also told at the show when we decided to purchase it, that we were going to purchase one that was a little less expensive. That's why we spent the extra $1,500 to get this and come to find out it doesn't work that way. This one was a bit more expensive but it was a better deal than the one we were looking at prior. And because of the fact that it was sold through Primo Spa and we're told that Primo would have a store coming soon in our area, we were confident that we would have good service from them.
We tried to get a hold of the rep that sold the hot tub to us but he never called back. We had to deal with the Primo Spa in Houston. The quality of the hot tub is fine but it’s sitting in my backyard right now doing nothing. It was sold as a package deal with a deck and Master Spas had the deck company out there and sent them over to us. The deck people that they had at the convention came out and put in a deck but they've yet to complete it. We only had three or four weeks of use out of it and we had to drain it and wait for them to finish this deck. I’m not happy with the deck people but they said they'll be out here sometime this week.
While we could use our Master Spas hot tub, it was great and it helped my wife. However, it was very disappointing that we couldn't have more than two or three people in the spa at a time because it's the six person spa but when you try to use certain chairs, the other chairs don't work. So in that aspect of it, I'm not very happy at all.
We spent almost $17,000 on this adventure. We were upset with the spa and they kept telling us we shouldn’t worry because they’ll get out here and take care of all our problems. We called them and when they finally came out, they said they will put our lid cover on or razor assist. They put that on and explained everything on a Sunday night at 8:00 pm. All the experiences I've had with this deal, I wouldn’t recommend anybody using the people we've had to use on this. It’s disappointing and also too expensive for what we got.
Hi Jon. Thank you for letting us know about your experience. I have forwarded your review on to our customer care team. They should be contacting you soon (probably through email) to figure out the best way they can help you enjoy and get the most out of your spa. Again, thank you for making us aware of this situation. We appreciate the feedback.

I talked to some people who said Master Spas was a good tub. They had good luck with it and I thought it was a good bargain since there was a promotion at the Shriners in Wilmington. The sales reps were really good -- knowledgeable, friendly, and no pressure. They knew they had a good product to sell. The delivery team was wonderful too so the process went well.
But I’d like to go talk to them about the little fountains in the tub. One of the kids went to get in the tub, hit the fountains and the copper came off easily. It seems like it's not been adjusting together all that well and they seem to be easily taken off and on. But It’s not that big a deal so I’m gonna go by and find out what I’ve got to do to fix it. I was just surprised that the fountains are placed right where people get in and out. But it's been fun. The tub has added excitement to the kids and people come over and use it. So far, so good. Let’s see how we do in the winter.

We purchased The Michael Phelps hot tub by Master Spas. We like the looks and the style of it. It was expensive but it had more jets and the massage therapy. We've had Master Spas before and we were looking at other hot tubs. If the prices were comparable, we might have been into a different one but the other ones were even higher. But we have dealt with this company once before and they were decent and easy to work with. But after getting down and seeing it when it was delivered, the material looked like it was more chintzy and cheesier than some of the other hot tubs that I've seen. It didn't seem like the quality of materials used was rugged and strong enough. The sides and everything else were very flimsy, not like a little bit higher quality sides.

I saw Master Spas' hot tub from a trade show and it had some jets specifically for the shoulders and the neck. My husband was familiar with the manufacturer so I was comfortable with the purchase. There were two salesmen at the tradeshow. One was a senior guy and the other was a trainee. The senior guy was very well-versed in the product and what we wanted to offer. He did a very good job. His level of professionalism and courteousness were very high. Since we got the hot tub at a trade show, we feel very good about the cost we were able to get. We were able to get some good discounts and brought it into our comfort zone. We love the quality of the hot tub and the features were fine. My husband is a carpenter, so he's on his feet all day long. He is in the hot tub at least four times a week and loves it. Overall, Master Spas is very friendly and efficient.

I’ve got a recommendation from a friend who have had several spas, and they said that Master Spas is the best. The company have several lines and models. I got Twilight. It was the size that I was looking for. I also wanted something that would hold six people, had a lounge seat, and had lots of jets. The hot tub is very good and it’s a pleasure to be able to use it. However, it would be more helpful if Master Spas had more videos online for "How to" things. I had to have a guy come here and explain to me which dial on the hot tub controls X and which one controls Y.
One other thing is when they installed the hot tub, they had a guy give me a run through on how to use it, but the electricity hadn't been hooked up yet. So, it wasn't running, and I couldn't experience it firsthand. It's different when somebody explains it to you versus actually being in action. But I’m very satisfied with the spa and the company’s customer service. The people in Master Spa were all lovely and very friendly. When I've had problems with the heater and filter, which were a little frustrating, they've come out and have been very helpful.

When we saw Master Spas advertised online, we didn’t have plans to buy one but there was a big warehouse event sale and they had some floor model that they were looking to get rid of. It was a decent price and a good value for what we were looking for. We liked what we saw and we got a five-person spa called Healthy Living. That’s unlike us to just jump on it because we did not do our homework, but the rep was not really pushy and was so knowledgeable about the product that we just felt comfortable. The delivery process was fine although there were a couple of small snags that were weather-related. A couple of times, I had to call them to see when it was gonna be ready, rather than them communicating with me. I had to take the initiative and stay on top of them but they were great.
We had two delivery crews come out and that's our fault. We didn’t have the tub leveled so they had to send somebody out a second time around. Both sets were very friendly but the first set’s delivery system didn’t seem like it was done the safest and most efficient way. They had the tub in a bed of a truck and there wasn’t a lift that brought it down. They put a piece of wood on the side of the tub and slid it down the side of the truck. Also, there was just two of the delivery crew so at any point, the tub could have landed on somebody’s foot, or the board could break and shatter the tub to pieces. It just seems kind of jerry-rigged. But they got the job done and nobody got hurt.
We use the tub every night and we love it. My husband and I lift heavy at the gym so we always have joint and muscle pains, and the tub has been totally therapeutic. In addition, our kids use the pool a lot more now because they have a hot tub to get into. Our pool used to be chilly and they would never swim in it. Now, they use it and have their friends over more, so it’s been great.

I have a Healthy Living Spa and it's a regular spa hot tub that I purchased from Master Spas. It was a spur-of-the-moment purchase. It has 46 jets and can seat five. However, I wasn’t very pleased with everything. I had lots of problems. The saleslady was super friendly the day we purchased it. They told me they could have it delivered that day. But I didn’t get a phone call until 8:30 at night. It was pouring down rain before the delivery so I told them to do it in the morning instead.
I purchased a house that had an old hot tub so when they showed up in the morning, they were supposed to cut off the old hot tub. The guys that brought the new hot tub didn’t know they were supposed to do that and didn’t have enough people to get it out. I had help on getting the old hot tub out and was left with it sitting in my front yard. When they were loading the new one onto the trailer, the control panel was damaged so I didn’t accept it. So they fixed it, send it back to me and got it installed. When I started using the new hot tub, it was leaking from some of the pipes inside. Water was coming out at the bottom so they came back that night and had to drain it again.
They put some sealing around the hot tub and I couldn’t use it for three days. When I filled it back up, it was still leaking. It took a week for them to come back out and they drained the hot tub again and left it. A week later, they came back and patched the plumbing again, but when they did, they didn’t put the skirting back on so it wasn’t a pleasant experience. I had to dump over $100’s worth of chemicals on the hot tub that has just been dumped back onto the ground because they had to drain the thing twice. Every time I called, I had to struggle to get a hold of them to come fix it. I had to talk to the saleslady that would also talk to the service people and schedule them. She would call me back late at night after I called three to four times or not even call me back until the next day when I called back.
The last day, when I was really livid, I got on Facebook and made a comment on their page. I wasn’t rude, but I told them my complaints of exactly what happened. All they did was delete my comment but I finally got a phone call back from somebody else that I've never talked to. They came out a couple of days later and fixed everything. Now, the new hot tub is working all right, though it was a painful experience. I had it for over a month and got to use it twice for the first month. The quality of the plumbing is not very good. The overall experience was underwhelming.

However, our patio wouldn't be done until the next couple of weeks so I'll have to schedule with them to come back to finish setting and hooking it up.

A place was having one of their store fronts close down so we went and looked for a tub there because of a sale. We ended up going to another store and we liked what we saw versus some of the other things we thought we wanted, and it evolved to choosing the Twilight series tub from Master Spas. I liked the big jets for the feet as well as the seat with jets for the shoulders. I also liked the size and the color.
There's one potential little problem with one of the pumps but we had a guy come out to look at it and so far so good. We're also having a problem with one of the lights right now which is nothing major but it's not functioning like the other ones and I'm not sure how to handle that. The tub does have a warranty but I don't know if the light is covered. I just noticed it the other day and contacted the technicians who make repairs for Master Spas but I haven't heard back from them yet.
Overall, the price was more than we planned on spending and whether the Masters Spas tub was all worth it is yet to be seen. We've only had it for a year and we're feeling better about it now that we've made contact with some people that seem to be experts on how to maintain it better than the information we were getting from the place we bought it from.

I’ve been a spa owner for 25 years and their company and the quality has been good.

We saw the Twilight model of Master Spas on display at a home and garden show. We had done shopping with another company but when we saw it, we could touch and feel it and got in it. The salesperson also did an amazing job and we didn’t feel the need to look any further. I really liked it and thought that it met our needs. We also like the seating arrangement that it had plus all the bells and whistles. We like the waterfall as well, especially the jets that are situated and can be moved to accommodate the lower back, neck and shoulders.
But we had a horrendous experience with the representative that sold the spa. The morning that the spa was supposed to be delivered at 6/20, it was nothing short of hell in dealing with the company that represents their product. It was a third party, and they own the company. The driver called us and told us they have the wrong one. After my husband had taken off work to sit here for the whole day and it was after two people had called and told us. They knew that we were building the patio and we would need to hold it once it arrived in Houston and they held it in a warehouse. But no one bothered to check to make sure if it was the right one. The hot tub was delivered but it got banged on the side so they had to replace the corner.
Then in the meantime, every single time that we try to get some assistance, had they done their part initially, we would never have had to go through what we went through with the after sale experience. Salespersons wouldn’t return our calls. We did everything they told us to do and it's horrible communication. It wasn’t even communication - we would call back but they wouldn’t answer the phone and it was awful. To think my husband was going to stay had he had needed to contact further Master Spas, that they would be embarrassed at the way that the owner no-showed for appointments. No one gave us an orientation. They sent a tech guy that they later fired, which was also a no-show on two other occasions to show us what to do with the hot tub.
My husband put a call into Master Spas because we had been treated so poorly and we’re not getting any feedback or information to help us over eight weeks of time after having our spa. We also threatened to call and file a report with the Attorney General's Office, the local TV stations, as well as social media. But we no longer had to contact Master Spas directly as they finally took care of it like they should have. We overcame the experience but we couldn’t even enjoy the hot tub. Every time we looked at it, it made us sick. Even the Master Spas name is on it, it gave the company a bad name and poor customer service going on in the field. As a result of it, we would never pursue Master Spas and we certainly would never do anything with the company again. It has left such a poor taste in our mouth that we associated it to a thing together and we would never recommend either one of them.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience, and we’re very sorry that this process hasn’t gone as smoothly as it could have. As the manufacturer, we don’t get to hear about situations like this until they’ve already happened but it allows us to discuss the matter with the local retailer. Please know that we are looking into this situation further. Again, thank you for the honest feedback. We appreciate it!

My husband and I knew that we had a lot going on this summer and that we were not going to be able to take a vacation. We had been talking about getting a hot tub for a couple of years now. I got on my phone and looked for spas. At that time, an advertisement popped up about Master Spas having a big sale at the Dr Pepper Center and so we went to check it out. But before going to the show, my husband looked into the Master Spas a little bit more. When we went there, the hot tubs were beautiful and they seemed to be a pretty good deal from what we were familiar with.
The salesman at that time was really nice. The gentlemen that brought the hot tub in, took extreme care of getting it back into our yard. They were really nice, very helpful, and went over everything with us even all of my nitpicky questions since we've never had one before. I was asking everything under the sun, but they were very kind and very gracious to listen to me. That was kind of nice because we'd never want to look stupid.
Our hot tub's quality is really great. Our spa has the dark wood look exterior. But it's not wood. It's made out of plastic. On the inside, it's white with some very light gray swirls in it. It's a six-seater hot tub and has an Ozonator within the piping system. There are also jets, lights and one bench for laying down. My husband has a stressful job and he'd come home and sit in a particular area where it had a ton of jets. We've enjoyed it and it seems to be holding up well.
There was a tubular filter that goes into the big blue filter. We were supposed to take the filter out and should have another one. We can leave that same one in there as long as we clean it out, then let it dry and put it back into the system. If we have two, then we can rotate them in and out. It also helps elongate the life of our system. However, we had one little issue with it. A top part broke and that frustrated us because this should not be happening. We went to Master Spas and the person there was so kind. He told us not to worry and that they'll give us another one. They're very helpful and very kind to people who've never had anything like that before.
It's been a little hot here. If you sneak in the hot tub, it's got to be way late at night. We can't stay in as long because it's so hot. But my husband and I are looking forward to using the hot tub as soon as the temperature starts coming down. We built a pergola that has a mesh screen that goes over the hot tub and down the sides. We tried to protect the hot tub with that. Our overall experience was really good and the people at Master Spas were very accommodating. We got several few things from our experience and I'm thinking that I would do it again.

I'm a designer and a carpenter who's installed all kinds of different spas. When I coordinated the purchase and the installation of the hot tub for Jen, we chose a small four-person hot tub because her urban space had limited size and that was the only hot tub that fit. I have had poor experience with a lot of different spa sales and shops in the past in our area near Boston and Crocker is the new person I'm using now. I was pretty happy with their ability to provide a spa in a timely fashion and then have really easy communication. They liked it the whole time and was totally let down over and over again. They carry Master Spas and that's what they recommended.
The fiber glass spa is a really good quality in general. They have the Balboa controls which are trustworthy but the outer finish was like a saw wood which was not great 'cause I'm sure it don't keep up well. If there was slightly better exterior upgrade options, that would have been great but they were sufficient. It also seemed solid when they moved it. However, the electricians had a really hard time getting the wires to connect because they make it so that you have to get in and make a right hand 90 degree turn in a half an inch for the wire that's quarter of an inch thick. It's just nearly impossible. It took two different guys trying it for an hour and a half just to get three wires connected. So if they want to do an upgrade, they should open up the box, put the thing in there and put the wires on.
It's a really simple thing and we were all looking at it and wondering who did this. Obviously the person who designed this was not thinking about hooking it up. They probably had a really good reason for doing what they did. They just forgot about the installer. We have also had issues, even with Sundance spas, in the past where the maintenance was a big pain. In two years, we'll know if we've had to fix this Master Spas but I hope not. I'm hoping Master Spas is the way to go.

However, there are a couple of knobs that I don’t think work well, but I don’t call them because I don’t know if it’s worth a trip out but if someone would tell me, I’d probably know how to pop and take them out. Other than that, I’ve had a good experience and I love it. I’m using it almost every day the past several months. It’s getting a little warm now, but I’m looking forward to the winter.
Hi Michael! We're so happy to hear that you are enjoying the spa. We bought the Ocho Rios LE, the 240 volt four-persons tub, from Master Spas at a good price. It has jets, LED lights and the ozonator. We initially chose a plug and play 120 volt tub. But when I asked them if that could be converted to 240, they were uncertain and that was really one of the biggest difficulties we've had the whole process. We needed to figure out whether it could be converted but I just decided to upgrade to the Ocho Rios unit. It has the same look and size as the initial tub we chose, but with more jets on it.
However, our deck was not really suited for a tub. So now I've extended the deck and we can walk out the back door along the deck and straight into the tub. It cost us a lot but I have no regrets. Hopefully, the novelty wouldn't wear off. Overall, my interaction with the Master Spas team went really good. They have been pleasant, honest and helpful enough. And I've recommended them.
Thank you, Robert! We're glad that you've been having good experiences with our company and reps. We appreciate the feedback!

My wife has fibromyalgia and we use Master Spa’s Twilight 210 for hydrotherapy. It's got the Eco Pur system, lights and pretty much basics. We saw them in a show and the guy seemed pretty likable. We liked the size of the tub and all of the features that they talked about seemed pretty attractive for what my wife was looking for. So far, it’s good. We were looking at the micro filter that's inside the other filter last night when I was cleaning it and there's some, like wax, and we couldn't figure out what was going on. The handle broke and we didn't know that, and the guy replaced it today. In fact my wife just brought it back. I'm not able to use the hot tub as much as we like because of the weather but we're happy with it and everything else seems to be fine.

Last summer drained my spa for the bi-annual water refill and it was down for well over 45 days. January of this year went ok. Ordered new filters to drain again, only sent the eco pure. Drained cleaned, refilled, water looked like milk. Called ordered paper filter, installed, still looks like milk. Called in and was told would have to drain again. I did. Spent 3 hours bailing water from bottom, cleaning interior, cleaning jets. Refilled, started, water looked great. Next day it's milk again. Top it off, tech won't be in until 5 pm. For the price I paid and still paying, I wish I could return it. DEFINITELY not worth the headaches and the cost.

Master Spas is a local company and we appreciate that. We liked the Healthy Living series 8.5 because of the functions of the hot tub and we’re looking to improve our health and some of the aches and pains. Our salesperson was very personable and did a good job detailing for us the different series and models. The only thing was, we haven’t had any direct follow-up from him since purchasing the tub. He even stated at the time of purchase that once it was installed, he’d come out within a couple of weeks to make sure everything was working right but we haven’t heard back from him.
The quality of the tub is fine. We anticipate good longevity with the tub. We have friends and family that have Master Spas and I’ve heard nothing but good things. We got what we’re looking for at a reasonable price. I’m a very driven individual and it has given me something to focus on, as far as relaxing at the end of my work day. It has given me a focal point to actually say, “All right, you know what? I need to stop what I’m doing.” Maybe 30 minutes before bed, I sit in it for a little bit and relax. Overall, we're comfortable and satisfied with our purchase.
Hi Tim! We're happy to hear that you are enjoying your spa and had a positive purchasing experience. Our tubs are a perfect way to unwind at the end of the day! Thanks for the feedback.

We went to a show where we saw different spa companies and what they were offering. We really liked Master Spas' design, the capacity, and all of its feature. They also had a promotion going on, so we purchased the Twilight Series 7.2. I requested for a delivery but since we are in the process of remodeling the patio and we have not finished, it was just dropped off. Once the patio's done, which is next month, the installers will come to set it up. Also, the people at the show that sold it, were all very friendly and very professional. They held it for us for longer than I expected, because the contractor has delayed the patio. They've been very understanding. Right now, I'm very satisfied.

We went to one of the shows in Conroe and talked to one of the people from the Master Spas plant. They had a cut-away of how the spa was put together underneath and he went over the manufacturing process and the care that they took in the manufacturing. We had owned the Cal Spas before and we didn't like how the spa was put together. The hot tub from Master Spas is a lot better as far as how it was put together and the ease of operation of it. The filter system is also a lot better than other spas that I've experienced in the past and that makes it a whole lot easier to maintain.
We like our Master Spas hot tub. It has foot massagers, one lay-down lounger, a lot of shoulder and back jets and the lights. We got the cover with it, too. We haven't been able to use it a whole lot yet. We've been out of town on vacation and driving quite a bit but we try to get into it in the evening after traveling and before bed. It makes us relax a lot better at night. This one has a lot more jets and it's a lot more powerful than what our Cal Spas had. It's a little pricier than the Cal Spas was but, as far as performance, it's worth it.
Hi Bobby! We're so happy to hear that you're enjoying your spa! Master Spas believes that in order for a spa to function properly, is has to be manufactured properly. We bought a Clarity spa from Master Spas, Inc. We were at a spa expo and we wanted a spa that was either low chlorine or no chlorine type. The ionized kind was the one that sold us. We have been looking and it was a real good deal. My wife and I had been discussing it back and forth for a little while. I have had over 22 knee operations. I also do construction site work and I got a bad back being up in age. My wife also has a bad back from sitting in an office chair all day long. So, we decided that would be the best thing to do. The delivery team was very nice. There was a scratch on it and they said they would send somebody out to fix it. I have already gone through the sample chemicals that they gave me and I bought more from them. The delivery guy wrote it down on the paper but I haven’t heard from them.
We have more information in the manual on how to care for it but there is nothing on how much chemical to use. Even the basic stuff that if you don’t know it in a spa before or even a swimming pool, you would have no clue. The tech just told us to put a cup of this and that in and I'm done. Also, there is a drawback feature that I don’t like. Maybe it’s because it’s too short of a time but I notice the jets cut off after 15 minutes. I’d rather see a thing where you could either be at 10 minutes, 15 minutes or 30 minutes. Also, the only thing I wish for is they would put more options up and the pricing for it so you can see it. It’s hard to find pricing anywhere for the items. Their office hours are also limited and you can’t get in touch with anybody on the weekend. That for me is a big drawback. However, I like the Master Spas. It’s a very good spa.
Hi Jeffery. We're glad to hear that you are enjoying your spa and that it has been able to help relieve pain for both you and your wife. As for the chemicals, I will send over the chemical guide that we have to your email shortly. The 15 minute run time is a pre-programmed feature to prevent the pumps from being damaged by running too long as well as preventing your electric bill from spiking due to accidentally leaving the spa on and this feature cannot be changed. And in regards to the pricing, the reason we don't show pricing on our site is due to the fact that the pricing of each spa really depends on how it's customized. The pricing of our spas vary with each customer and their personal preferences when it comes to various features as well as their location. Hopefully this helped answer a few of your questions. I'll get the chemical guide emailed over now. Thank you for the feedback! We greatly appreciate it.

It's also a little pricey but the quality is just as good. After the sale, I never could get a hold of anybody at the Master Spas dealer. When I turned a little crack, I also couldn't get that fixed. Their rep was a very good salesman though and we liked the size and the way the Twilight Series Spas looked. But it was expensive. We use the hot tub daily and when the ambient lighting was stuck on one color, I called and a rep mentioned that something was faulty with the box that controls that. He was going to send us a new one, but it started to work again. Other than that, they did everything they said they were going to do and the hot tub works fine.

I was really looking at Thermo Spas but Master Spas was having a show by the fairground and my wife saw it advertised. She stopped in to see it and when she saw the hot tub, the price was reasonable. We bought the hot tub because it was on sale. It has all the other features as well as the Bluetooth sound system and my wife and my son loved it. The construction of the Thermo Spas is way better than theirs but the price is up there, too.
Master Spas reps were good. However, I didn’t know it was going to cost me so much to install the 240 voltage just to hook up the hot tub. Had I known, I would’ve just walked away. I had the tub hooked up almost two and a half months now, and I’m shopping around because a lot of the installation quotes I get is over $2,000. The rep told me I’m going to have to run at 244. I don’t know if he works for the same company, but he was telling me he doesn't think it’s that much. But I had several quotes and there’s only one that came under $2,000 but it’s almost $2,000. It’s $1,800 and change. I was only looking to pay $500 bucks.
So far, the tub looks good but we haven't used it yet. I wouldn’t know the experience until I get it hooked up and get water in it. I had the electrician that works with me who came over to look at it and I had some panels off. I thought the inside was fiberglass, but it’s all wood. So, I don’t know how long the tub is going to stand up if the wood gets wet. That was my only concern. I will reserve that till I get it running. The only gripe I have is the money I got to pay just to get it hooked up and use it. But the overall experience was good.

We got the CLS Balance 7 from Master Spas, which we chose for its price point. After installation, I had some questions but I just talked to the guy we bought it from. This one has less bells and whistles but it gets the job done. This is our third hot tub, the other two we had were fancier and larger. We use the hot tub two or three times a week now, but it's just me and my wife. When we bought it, we thought our kids would go in it though. I have no real complaints about the quality, but if I had to buy again, I don't know if it will be my first choice. With our last two hot tubs, draining it was easy to access. With this, you have to take off the whole front panel and the cover lifter. We haven't had to do it yet, but it's going to be a pain to drain it. So I would probably have to get a sump pump to put in there.

They were supposed to show up one day and I had people there waiting to help put it in but they never showed up. That really ticked the guy off that was waiting and it made me upset, too. It was messed up.
My tub has a lighting system in it and has various ways I can adjust the jets and it seems like it's a good quality. But the other thing I was disappointed with is that nobody really told me how to operate it. I called up, got a hold of someone and they were very good over the telephone. My mom has Parkinson’s disease and I also have a seven-year old who likes to swim. They went to the home show in St. Louis and the GS Ocho Rios seemed like the best one that would meet our needs in terms of price, size and ease of entry and exit. It's a six-person spa and it took three weeks to make. However, when we got it, it was the wrong color. So then, they had to remake it in the right color and we waited another three weeks. We've had it for about a month and a half and then it got this leak. Up to that point, I was super happy with it. The colors were pretty and it was easy to run. The only thing that's kind of tricky is turning the temperature up and down. It’s the same button for up and the same button for down and it’s really difficult to figure out how to change the temperature.
Then we were on vacation for a week and two weeks ago when we came home, the spa had completely emptied and flooded the house. I called Master Spas immediately but they were not open, so I left a voicemail. I left all my information and I said I would like a callback but they never got back to me. It’s horrible. I also called the place where we bought the spa from. The guy apologized and he said he would send somebody out to fix it. A week went by and I didn't hear anything. So I called him back again last week and he said they'll send a guy out in three days. They've already ordered us a new spa too and that it was being made. But that will take once again three weeks to make.
So we have this spa sitting in the there and it does not work. It’s soaking wet in the bottom because the bottom collects water and it's getting moldy. I would love to have a hot tub that actually works. But at this point, I just want my money back. I don’t even want this hot tub anymore. That water could have caused a ground fall and they say it’s got GFI. But what if we were in there? We could have gotten electrocuted. But they said I could only get a replacement.

When I called Master Spas, they didn’t offer anything to satisfy the problem. They just told me they would order it and call me. Then, they brought the wrong thing and they told me they would bring the new one in the same week. That was two weeks ago and up to now, they haven't come to change it. When I followed up, the lady gave the excuse that she didn’t receive my email. I resent it to her while I kept her on the phone, then she got it but it's the same email I sent before.
It’s very disappointing because you pay a lot of money for these things and they don’t take care of the customers. They're nice and they offer you everything when you buy it, but after that, they seem to forget. It's my third hot tub and I've never had a problem like that before so I'm not happy with that. Things can break, but if they took care of the situation immediately, I would've been happy. I've lived in this country for 30 years and I've bought a lot of tubs. I haven’t been too happy with Master Spas especially the way they called the first couple of times. They were very impolite and they didn’t state who they were so I got very angry. The second time the lady called and she was very rude to me because I wouldn’t give her my wife’s information and that’s when I hang up on her. I run a business with 25 employees. When they call somebody, I make sure that they let that customer know who they're with, their name, and what they're calling about. But that was never done the first three times in the call. It was to the point where I was ready to go to my bank and get the money and not even deal with them.
I used to have hot springs before I got the Twilight Series hot tub. I've had to put more money into the hot tub as far as maintaining the chemicals versus my hot springs. I could leave the hot springs for two weeks and not get into the pool and the clarity would be fine. This one, if I don’t keep up with it every three days, the water would be terrible. I even went back yesterday and told them I made a mistake when I bought the hot tub.
The other company is top of the line and I should have never got rid of my hot tub. The hot tub from Master Spas is bigger than the one I had before and it's less expensive but I get what I pay for. The cosmetic portion of it and the lining is beautiful but as far as the maintenance and the tub itself, I'm not happy with it and I'm very dissatisfied.

There might be a couple of things I would change, though. Otherwise, it’s given us the chance to actually use a hot tub. We bought a house with one but it's leaking and not in very good repair. And my wife has rheumatoid arthritis so we’ve been looking to buy one for a long time. It’s been great. We're happy with our spa and we love it.
Hi Dan! We're so happy to hear that you and your wife are happy with your Balance 7! Sounds like it was a perfect fit for what you were looking for. Thanks for the feedback!

We purchased Master Spas' top of the line 80 x 90 spa in an expo. We were looking at it with someone with an impulsive vibe and it seemed like a really nice spa. Also, it has a sound system, wifi, UV cleaning and magnetic therapy in the seat. We had a spa before and this seemed much better compared to what we had. There's a lot more features, seats and everything works with any type of electronic stuff like Bluetooth or wifi connections.
We got a terrible support. They basically set it on our patio in the back and we took it from there. I had it hooked incorrectly to the ground faulty circuit and have to get all of the usages figured out on my own with no help from the people that I bought it from. But I've talked to their online support a couple of times and they were really good. I called them to get the Bluetooth up and running, get the default password, get the chemicals balanced in the tub and what I had to do to get the chemicals right for the first time. Also, we’re happy with the spa. It works fine and does everything we thought it was supposed to do. From that standpoint, the quality control was really good. We enjoy using it and I'm satisfied with what I bought.
Hi Tom! Although it sounds like the delivery process unfortunately didn't go as smoothly as you had hoped, we're still very happy to hear that you are enjoying the spa! I'll be sending you an email shortly regarding the delivery issues. Thank you for your feedback! We appreciate it.

I did a research and Master Spas was one of the highest quality rated hot tub brands on the market. The size and the price got me attracted to their spa and both their sales person and installation team were good. The sales guy really needs to work on his spiel though. It must have been five different times that he said the same thing to me. He said, “I’m gonna be totally honest with you here.” And it’s like, “Okay. So, sometimes you’re not totally honest only if you say you’re going to be?” It’s a weird statement to make.
Also, the cost is a little bit high at $10,000 and that was on sale. It’s like a car and it sucks that it’s so expensive but I didn’t want any junk. I could’ve gotten one for $5,000 and I probably could've gotten a piece of junk. This is something we want to have for at least 10 years or more. So, we thought of getting a quality piece and hopefully, it’ll work good for us for a while. The tub’s quality is pretty good so far. My wife and I enjoy it together so it’s good quality time. The nice thing is there are no computer, phones, emails, texts, TV or radio. It’s something that can force us to put that stuff down, even if it is just for 20 minutes and just talk, stare and look at the stars, enjoy nature and each other a little bit, and get away from some of that stupidity. It’s great.

We had been looking at hot tubs and we saw the Master Spas' Twilight 7.2 in a show. It had a pretty good price so, I ended up buying it. It's a spur of the moment. It's got the Bluetooth stereo, the low-light, a waterfall and all kinds of jets. Overall, the tub is pretty good. I'm maybe a little concerned about the frame being wood and how long it'll last or if it will rot. Also, I've noticed the one in the controls there, the switch from certain jets sticks and is hard to operate. That's probably one of my biggest complaints. But other than that, everything looks pretty good. I'm hoping it'll last quite a while but I'd definitely consider them again if I was looking for another tub. Also, I'd recommend it.

The Twilight series looked like it had everything I wanted. After I bought it, I couldn't get the guy to call me back, except for setting up the delivery, and I hardly got him to answer my text messages. He was really great until the Master Spas team called to ask me for the prescription which I was trying to get a hold of the guy to figure out the address to send it to. I told them everything that I had issues with and that's when I got a callback.
I like that the product has good jets, but the sound system doesn't seem as good as it was when I first got it. When it connects to my iPad now, it cuts out some. Also, from what the guy told me when I bought it, it was supposed to be able to connect to my Alexa but it does not. The product is a little bit below average and the cost should be lower for what I got. I had a Sundance before and the difference is like night and day. I should have bought from somewhere else. People should look up the warranty and the information that the dealer gives them before they buy.
Hi Amber, we're so sorry to hear that you haven't had the best experience with your Twilight spa. One of our customer care representatives will be in contact with you soon to get more information about the situation and try to help you out. Thank you for the feedback. We appreciate it.

My daughter purchased a spa; it was delivered and within 4 days was not functioning properly. She cannot get a return call from the dealer (Ted's Best Buy Pools and Spas, Mayville, OH). She cannot get Master Spas in Indiana (the parent company) to honor the warranty or replace the malfunctioning unit.
Deb, I was informed that your local dealer responded quickly to your concerns and actually did replace the unit already. As always, Master Spas stands behind and honors the warranty we put on our products and we will continue to do so. We look forward to hearing you’re enjoying your hot tub.

Master Spas gave us a great deal on their Twilight Series 8.2. However, we weren't satisfied with it at first because I couldn't get the water regulated and the filter gave us all kinds of trouble. The local retailer bought a whole bunch of Master Spas' particular model of a hot tub as a year-end close out. It was a nice tub for a nice price so I bought one. My interactions with their team have all been perfect. They did exactly what they said they’d do for the price and on the day they said they’d do it, and that’s good business.
I've had the tub for about 6 months now and I like it. It's in a covered patio that's very conducive to it. It takes up a little bit of space but we have a perfect place for it. I don’t have a lot of aches and pains for an old man, but I like using the tub usually in the evening, and it’s very relaxing. The quality is very good and I’m very happy with it. The one that I bought has one pump as opposed to two, which is plenty enough power for me since I don’t even turn on the pump half of the time. Also, I live in an area where it gets fairly warm in the summer and since we were gone for half of June, I drained it and I won’t fill it again until the cooler weather sets in. But I enjoyed using it every day until I went on a cruise trip.

I got a 7.25 Master Spa hot tub. I went to a hot tub sale and that was the one I liked. It did not have a lounge, which I wasn't a particular fan of and also, I like how it's set up and the seating position in it. I was very pleased with the Master Spa team. They definitely gave me a good deal. The tub costs a lot of money but the quality is pretty good. I've only had it for three months now and so far, I really haven't had any issues with it. It's been great for my pretty physically intensive job for just having friends over socially too.
The only thing I was disappointed with was I did not know that the stereo system was not included with the hot tub. I'm kind of looking towards that and so it gets delivered, I'm getting everything set up, and it wasn't there. I read the literature and I found out that it's an optional equipment that I was never offered. Other than that, Master Spas has been easy to work with and my experience has been very positive.
Hi Juan! We're so happy to hear that you are enjoying your spa! We also want you to know that we are sorry that it wasn't made clear that the stereo system is optional. I'll be sending you an email regarding that shortly. Thank you for the feedback! We appreciate it greatly.

I’m very specific on the dimensions of a good looking spa that would fit into a concrete pit I got. I bought my spa in a fake expo and Master Spas came and delivered. I won’t say the install guy did a bad job because they did everything they were supposed to do but he cut a bad hole in my panel for the electric. He had the piece upside down so I have a hole at the top of a corner piece he was going to replace it but I never heard back from him. I ended up fixing it because that's a perfect hole for wasps to penetrate the spa and make a mess. It looks okay since I painted it and it’s hidden and slides underneath the fiber glass part of the spa.
It was an interesting crew that came out but they did a good job. I had a Jacuzzi brand spa before and it lasted 13 years. The wood skirt rotted away but mechanically it just kept going. I've replaced the heater and a small part once in a while and it just went and went. Let's see how this Master Spas does in the long term. It has lots of jets, a built-in hose and a heater.

I had a problem with my filter and it took them almost a month to get me a new filter. I had to call them 4 or 5 times to get my filter replaced, and pieces that came missing from the delivery. Still, I'm happy with the Master Spas tub and using it makes my daily life better.

We saw the Master Spas at a local weekend fairground expo. I had one at the house that was very similar but smaller and I was having a lot of problems with it. It was great functioning Jacuzzi but was close to 20 years old. I couldn’t get parts for it because of the age of the tub. It was time to just upgrade. I got the Master Spa Clarity Balance 8 and it has cool features. It has 48 jets and 2 pumps, sits 6 people and holds 465 gallons of water. The first guy that brought the hot tub out was by himself and couldn’t physically get it up on the deck. He rescheduled, came back another two or three days later and installed it with four guys. They were good and they explained the details.
One small complaint is that there was a slice in the stuff that goes around. I took pictures, let the guys know and I figured they ordered the part. Overall, the people were good and the product is also good. It's fairly-priced, functional, and fairly easy to maintain. Plus, maintaining the valves is much easier than my old tub. It’s like having mini vacations when I can get time to get in there. We’re enjoying it and I like the reclining area, which hits your back, the bottom of your legs and your feet.

I got a 7 x 7 hot tub from Master Spas which was a deal at one of the spring home shows. It was a good price. However, they had a bunch of people looking at spas so the sales reps were pretty quick. There wasn’t a lot of discussion about how to take care of the spa. It was just, “Here’s the features, here’s the price. Let’s do the paperwork.” We were told to throw a couple of teaspoons of chlorine in the spa once a week and it should be good. But that is so far from the truth in how to maintain a spa. So, we’ve gone to a local company who’s helping us work through exactly what kind of chemicals to use, how often to use them, etc. We would have chosen a different spa that has less maintenance. Nevertheless, the spa is great and it's just what we wanted. It’s not too big and it doesn’t have a lot of extra features. We enjoy it. Also, the guy who sold us the spa recommended someone to install it and they did a good job installing it.

So I purchased a Michael Phelps swim spa at a special show in the Pacific Northwest. This is supposed to be a top of the line swim spa. Initially, I got the water balanced and everything was fine - except the control pads are extremely difficult. Then my water started getting cloudy and nothing would help. Now I have found out this filtration issue is known to Master Spa. There is a reducer in the filtration line that does not allow the water to be pulled through the filter. I have now owned this for two months. Of the two months, I was able to use it for about two weeks. Meanwhile, this company that "treats our customers like family" has not shipped the parts to the repair person to fix this. Now my cover is damaged from all the mold. I plan to hire an attorney to sue Master Spas, the dealer (Spa Pool and BBQ Show), and Michael Phelps. If you are looking for a spa or swim spa, stay away from this company that treats you like family.

It's the first hot tub for my home. The salespeople were great, no-BS, and straight to the point. They gave me the freedom to choose what I wanted and they were okay with any decision I made and did not try to pressure me in anything, which was a comfortable situation. Plus, delivery was great. The delivery guys were very respectful of all my gardening stuff.
I would’ve preferred a lounge on one side. That’s what I was shooting for, but I’m okay with that situation because it can hold more people. A reason I got the more expensive one was location and quantity of jet. It's great, but I may have to replace the cover because it leaks and is a little funky. I keep cleaning the filter and it keeps getting clogged up. This is just from normal running, not even being in it. The only way that I can get the circulating pump to work properly is it’s got the little mineral injector piece, a little insert on the top of the filter, I do not lock that in all the way. I leave that slightly ajar and it allows enough water to go through, so the circulating pump works. It doesn’t seem like a good fix, but that is the fix.

This is my first one and I'm very unimpressed with it right now because I've had problems ever since I got it. It took forever to get it to start with. When I got it there and called my electrician, he finally came and hooked it all up. He's a master electrician so there's no problem with the electrical hookups. But I had all kinds of problems because the directions on how to get the water right with the pH level and stuff is all gibberish to me. It's hard to figure out. Last weekend, it wouldn't heat up and all of a sudden, it shut down and the heater started ticking. I never could get anything right on it so I'm not very happy with it.
I've called the people down here in The Woodlands and they are supposed to send somebody out, hopefully. Yesterday, my girlfriend called them to tell them that they needed to come out and fix it. The lady said she didn't know if she can. She's got time on Friday afternoon and the lady said she would call my girlfriend back but never did, so she's going to call them back again today. But if they would just come pick it up and go away with it, I'd be happy.

But the cost is about 10% higher than what we could have gotten another system which might not have the minerals.
The delivery was great. The reps from Master Spas told me when the hot tub was coming and they were on time. They came in, brought the hot tub, and put it where I wanted it. They also showed me how it worked. My husband uses the hot tub pretty consistently. I just had hip replacement, so I can't get in it again yet. But we use it pretty constantly for aches and pains.
Hi Kim! We're so thrilled to hear that you had positive experiences with our representatives and the spa itself! I purchased the Precision 7 spa and hot tub cover from Master Spas. They had a big sale going on and we had been thinking about it and it was a really good price so we decided to go ahead and do it. If it had not been on sale it would have been overpriced. So we got a smoking deal. The gal we bought it from was very helpful, answered all our questions.
But when it came to actually getting the spa delivered, we were told a month and then we were told six weeks and then we were told eight weeks and then three months later, we finally got it. So that part was very frustrating. And anyone I talk to couldn't really give me a straight answer on what was taking so long. But other than that we enjoy the spa and we enjoy what we got. Moreover, the quality is great. I have no complaints on the construction or the jets. It all works wonderfully.

The people that represented Master Spas seemed quite knowledgeable and very nice. But in retrospect, I feel like a sucker. I could hear their words, but I can't tell what they were, which is the attitude. And the spa that I bought wasn't really the one I wanted. I wanted a different one but the rep said, "It was a small one. Only two people can get in it." And I said, "Really? Why not?" And he just said, "Well, you want this one over here." And I don't know if that would have made any difference. Also, the pump of the spa was never right. It was loud. In fact, my neighbor complained about it. It just got louder and louder and I kept thinking, "What am I gonna do?" And then, it finally just died out of my ignorance. But I had back surgery and I couldn't get anybody to come look at it so it just got neglected. I had it for about a year and a half and I don't think the pump should have done that. So I'm very dissatisfied.

Master Spas was running a special sale in Del Mar for a week-end so my husband and I went down to look. Because we’ve always had a spa and we’ve built a new home, we’re looking for a spa to put there. The purchase went nicely. We appreciate the power of the jets and we like them. Our biggest complaint is it doesn't hold heat. And we had a spa where we lived in the mountains, high altitude, that stays warm all the time and never had a problem with heat. And we were in high altitude where we had freezing temperature. It doesn't get below 60 where we're at but we can't run the jets and keep the temperature over 100.
We’ve even had a tech come out and look at it, and he says, "That's all it will do." When you're running both jets, the heater won't come on, and so we'll lose heat. But even when we only run one jet and the heater is on, we lose heat. It gets the temperature when we set it up to get in. And we get in and it's warm, it feels great initially. But it just doesn't hold the heat. We call it the hot tub, so we expect to be in there nice and hot. It doesn't do that. I’d recommend our old tub, which was made by Hot Springs over the Master Spas.
Hi Lori - we're very sorry that you haven't had positive experiences with your tub from Master Spas. If you haven't already been, you will be contacted by one of our customer care representatives soon to discuss what we can do to make sure you are getting the most out of your purchase. I’ve been shopping around for spas and knew what I wanted, but everything that I was looking at in my price range was a little bit under quality from what the other companies ended up with. I saw the advertisement for the deal that Master Spas had at the Market Hall at a spa event in downtown Dallas. I decided to go look at them and their sales rep was great. Also, everybody answered the questions I wanted answered. They offered us what we needed and made the concessions we wanted. They weren’t high pressure. They were helpful and responsive. I got the Healthy Living 8 and my delivery was on time and good. They also called to do a follow-up to make sure it was delivered and installed all good.
I’ve had the spa installed for weeks now and it is comfortable and the size that I wanted. It has the ozone filter, the UV protection, and everything I've been looking for. It's good and I love it. I use it every day, sometimes several times a day. I spent more money to get whatever we wanted but it’s good quality. It also enhanced my backyard. It’s now gorgeous. I’ve been remodeling it and doing things to it, and my wife says it’s like an oasis now. It’s fantastic. The spa is a great addition to our yard and I have already recommended it to friends.

The information that the salesperson gave me convinced me to go with Master Spas. It was more his knowledge of the tub compared to when we were looking at the Beachcomber and the Arctic spa. It was also because of the ability for the tech to do the install more efficiently than some of the competitors. The reviews online were also good from what we'd seen.
I got the Twilight Series from Master Spas. The salesperson recommended that one based on what I wanted. The features I like about it were the power of the jets, the layout of the different jets like the one for the back and the neck and the lounge seat and also, all the different configurations of the jets versus just having a few jets and not much power as some of the other ones had.
We bought the cheapest spa and overall, we're happy with the decision we made based on the quality and the features. Everything's been very good so far, and we're very happy with it. However, we had a couple of jets that had to be replaced very early on. Also, there's not a lot of information on how to work with your water, keeping the chemicals and things balanced. That's been our biggest reason to call the dealer. It would be a good idea to include some of that information in the package that they get to help deal with pH, alkalinity and chlorine.
Hi David! Thank you for the honest feedback. We're happy to hear that you are enjoying your spa and that your dealer has been so helpful to you.

I had ThermoSpas before. It was bigger, had lots of jets and did all that arthritic pain removal stuff that it was supposed to, but it didn’t last and the plastic turned to powder on the jets. It turned out I was using pool chlorine instead of spa chlorine as we never got any training or advice on the spa, which probably hastened its demise. We used it for 12 years. I had a room built around that hot tub and so I got that one cut up and needed something to replace it. Master Spas would fit through the doorway with minimal removal of the wall and so I purchased the spa that got choice lounge chairs with lots of jets. It's very nice. It massages the back of my thighs, does my neck and shoulders, got a couple of water features and LED lights that my grandson really enjoyed.
I bought it through Concord Pools in Albany and they sent out a member of their staff to teach me how to use it, put the cover on and install it to make sure everything was installed properly and give me proper training. I have to maintain the water. I ordered it back in the end of January and there's a little delay in getting it. When it arrived it had to sit here for about three weeks waiting for me to return from Europe before I could get it electrified. I've had it for only a week and a half, and the quality is great so far. I use it every morning while my coffee is brewing. Then yesterday my pool got opened and so within a couple of weeks, it will be warm enough for me to go from the hot tub to the pool and that’s nice, my usual morning routine. It was a good experience and I'm happy with the tub. It is doing what I wanted it to do, which is to relax me and wake me up in the morning. I have shown and recommended it to friends.
Hi Don! A dip in a Master Spa sounds like a perfect way to start the morning. We're so glad that you're getting so much enjoyment out of it. Thank you for the wonderful feedback!

I’ve been looking at three different hot tubs and we saw the Legend Spa from Master Spas at a trade show. We sat in it and so as the others and Master Spas was the best of the three. I like the configuration of the seats of the tub. It also has a built-in UV ionizer, 4 interior speakers, two external speakers, and Bluetooth. I use the spa every morning and it loosens me up for the rest of the day. Primo Pools was the distributor that sold the spa to us and for the most part, the interactions with their people were fine but they have problems answering phone calls because they’re just over stressed with work. I understand that they may be replacing their salesperson, which may help quite a bit.
However, we had a couple of problems with the spa when it was delivered. The Bluetooth module isn't working, one of the pumps had failed and two of the inside speakers still do not work. The spa was supposedly checked out completely before it left the factory. We talked to the distributor and they were aware of the problems. They replaced the pump, just to replace the speakers and the Bluetooth module, but still couldn’t get the speakers together. There’s probably something wrong with the wiring. Hopefully, they would contact us next week to make an appointment to either re-wire the tub or adjust the tub to get those other speakers working.

The representatives that I've dealt with were very knowledgeable. They're very quick to assist and wanted to make the customer happy. The hot tub has a good and tough quality. The value that they paid is the value that I would like to be associated with the tub. It's a great tub. Over a month ago, I bought a Twilight Series 8.3 with every conceivable option that you can get. I got the upgraded light kit, the three circulation pumps, the MasterPur, the Ozone, the stone exterior cabinet, as well as the WiFi Module. I decided to buy this tub because of my dealer here in Houston, Vince of Primo Spas. I got to look at the spa and he explained it to me, did some research on Master Spas’ reputation, the quality, the reputation and the quality of the dealer and that they provided local service through their own forces in lieu of a third-party service provider. Some of the other spas I considered all offer the same. But they didn't have the same dealer reputation nor did they have the same warranty and reputation as Master Spas.
But when my tub was delivered, it was damaged and one of the pumps has not worked since. My dealer has been out here no less than three times to try to resolve my pump issues, but it still does not function correctly for over a month. They've replaced the pump and tried replacing a board. I have been going through my selling and servicing dealer because when I call Master Spas, they'll refer me back to my selling dealer. So I've got a $14,000-yard ornament and right now, I'm wishing I went with one of the competitors and maybe I wouldn't have all these problems. My selling dealer is absolutely doing everything within their power to get it resolved but it seems like it is a Master Spas issue. I’m going to publish my comments on every consumer website, the Better Business Bureau, and everybody else if my spa is not fixed this coming week.
We’re in touch with the local dealer and assure you we want to get your new hot tub up and running as quickly as possible. In discussing with our Technical Department, the electrical wiring run to your hot tub is not up to specification and we are awaiting confirmation from you that the wiring has been corrected per our manual and the system requirements. Proper electrical hook-up is most important to ensure the safety of all users but also serves as the foundation for the hot tub to run properly.

We looked online and it seemed that prices run Costco, Sam's and some other outlets. We got a tub that has jets. They gave us a month for delivery. We had to do things at the house to prepare for it. We had to pour concrete and pool electrical and things of that nature. We're taking delivery next Thursday and we're anxious to get that in there. Master Spas will be delivering and connecting it.

We went to Bingemans and another place. Master Spas was our last stop and we got a good deal so, we decided to go with them. We got a four-seater spa and it wasn't overly big. Kevin, the half-owner or salesperson, and Sheryl, the girl at the cash, were amazing. Anytime we go back there, they are a really nice group of people. Also, they went above and beyond and they were amazing. But we've had three big issues with them. When we went to buy it, we wanted one that plugs in. I didn't want it to be wired and they sold us the wrong one. So, we had to choose a different one which is the same model. It doesn't have as many bells and whistles. I was quite disappointed that the other one was 90% similar but had more lights but that was fine.
Then, when they delivered it, the delivery guys were great but they offered my husband to plug it up for us because they couldn't find the cord. The third thing is that it was leaking and the hose had a hole in it. We use it quite often and we noticed it would go down every other day by at least four inches. When I called, the guy had to ask questions but he made me feel like it was our fault. He was lovely but it was not very nice to blame us. Then, Chris who fixes hot tubs came to fix the hose. He quick fixed and taped. He's great and he'll be coming back next week to replace the hose. All these things, as much as they were all lovely, were really unacceptable. It shouldn't take a week to replace the hose. But we love the spa and we enjoy being in the hot tub.

But, their reps were hard to get a hold of at first and then I had some problems trying to get them to take the taxes off since the tub was medically advised by a doctor. They finally said that they did that, but when they sent me the final bill, they hadn't done it. So, it was back and forth for a little while, but they did take good care of me and met my expectations in the end, although it took a little prodding to get them to do it. A tree fell on our old hot tub and crushed it so bad. So we looked for a replacement at Castle Rock around Christmas. There was a spa deal coming to Denver where they had a big sale of hot tubs. So I went up there and they had a Master Spas park. We’ve seen the little two traveling salesman type deal, but it didn’t quite feel right. All the tubs were white and it was a good deal in Denver, but it didn’t look and feel like what I knew. So I called the dealer at Castle Rock and he said, “Come on down and I’ll be at my best. I’ll make you a deal.” So he did, and he's been great to work with.
But as for the installation, it was absolutely poor and terrible. I live about three hours away from the store so they were making the delivery out in the can, and just swinging back through. I had my daughter there for the delivery and explained to her what needed to happen. When the tree fell, it ripped up a lot of stuff and so there was a tie in the back that was just pulled out of the ground a little bit that need to be set back down. And the tub need to be set on top of it. But the installers were too lazy to move that tie and put it back down the ground. So they moved the tub forward far enough to where the steps that come with the tub stick out over the railroad ties. If they would have put that back tie where it belongs, the steps would have fit more perfectly on the pad. So now, it’s there permanently. It’s got water in it and you can’t move it out.
Also, I had an electrician wire in the spa so there was this very nice flex-covered pipe that goes into the hot tub. But they broke it off, took the bottom, and ran their wires with the wires over there into the hot tub. They could have done a lot better than just broke it off. Now when it rains, it’s open and the water and weather is going to get inside that pipe, which you don’t want. So I wasn’t very impressed with that. My daughter said she told them x, y, and z, but that's not her cup. And I thought they took advantage of her. But Matt, the guy at the Castle Rock store, has been great to work with and they’ve heard that very same story. I told him the story but he has no control over these idiots.
Now, the hot tub has been part of my life every day but it’s not working for a week now. I talked to a gal named Kat and she told me to go home and take the filters off and turn the jet on low if I want and just let it run for 30 minutes. And it should clear up. She said the sensors just didn’t want that heater to burn up. But when I took the filters out, I didn’t see dirt. The tub’s only 30 days old so I can’t imagine it having too much dirt there.
Hi David. I'm so very sorry that your delivery experience wasn't a positive one. You should be receiving an email shortly from one of our representatives to check up on you and make sure that your spa is up and running properly now. Thank you for the honest feedback. We appreciate it!

I purchased a Michael Phelps Series 900 Spa from Master Spas, Inc. It was one of the biggest ones in the market and also has lots of therapeutic features on it. But we're having a really bad experience. They haven't got it working yet. We got it delivered three weeks ago and from day one the jets weren't working right. Some would work, some wouldn't and some wouldn't turn off at all. The manager of the store came out once and that was the day after. And that seemed great. But nothing's happened. Then the service guy came out Wednesday. That was the very first service guy to come and figure out what's going on.
He said they're sorry about it and that they're gonna fix it and get everything overnighted but it was three weeks later when they sent somebody finally. He said it was the filters because they hadn't told him the whole story and he was about to leave without doing anything so my husband called and threw a fit. And so, the guy came back and said that it's the motherboard, the Bluetooth and the pump. However, they supposedly replaced the motherboard and it's still not working. They're getting the rest of the parts overnighted and that's supposed to happen hopefully early next week at the latest. But we are still aren't sure that that's gonna fix everything. Originally, it was great customer service but now we've gotten the runaround.
If we don't have this thing working by mid-next week, we're gonna start pursuing legal options at this point because we gave them a check for $15,000 for the spa and we've not gotten our money's worth. Another thing they promised is because there was some cosmetic damage to the spa when it arrived, they were gonna give us a list for the hot tub. But now they're acting like they're not giving us direct answers on that either. But if they end up fixing the spa and doing everything they said even though in an untimely manner, I would update my statement regarding that.
Hi Crystal - thank you for making us aware of these issues. One of our customer care representatives will be contacting you soon to help you get these issues resolved. We're so sorry for the inconvenience, and we thank you for your patience as we get this figured out.

Master Spas was located and referred by Presidential Pools who used to build our pool, so I knew that they were a pretty good company. I got the Twilight series because it had the double chaise lounges in it. I paid it through Jared and he was really good. The pool showed up within three days of when it needed to show up based on all the other things that were going on in the backyard as we never knew whether something will get there on time.
It’s a phenomenal hot tub. As a matter fact, the guy who works for Presidential that did the spa startup referred to it as the “Cadillac of spas”. It seems to be very well-designed and it’s incredibly much more relaxing than I ever thought it was gonna be. My wife and I both sit in one corner of it and the jets are specifically designed to massage the shoulders which are pretty amazing and awesome.
We did the Presidential’s suggestion of a build-out around our above ground spa. We have stacked stone around it with steps up to it with travertine on top that matches the rest of our travertine. It takes something out as really cool, makes the spa really beautiful and incredible because the spa looks like custom-built and part of the backyard rather than an ugly thing sitting on top of the ground. It's high end and well-designed with superior results. I would also strongly recommend anybody to do that build-out.

They gave me a good deal and now, I have the three-seater spa. I like that it was a regular, lower profile spa. I’ve just gotten back from some military duty, so I plan to get in it this weekend. The only hiccup I've seen right now are the plastic buttons that hide the screws to make it look better. Those are cheap and don’t stay on very good. But I had a really good experience from sales to delivery and setup.
Hi Arden! I'm so happy that you are enjoying your spa! Thank you so much for the feedback and for your service to our country. Happy hot-tubbing!

I heard a commercial on TV that Master Spas was having a thing that weekend. I went in Conroe and the buying process was really easy. Thinking it was a better fit for me, I bought the Healthy Living hot tub. Everything went great with the guys who came out, installed it and did all the things that they did. A guy sat down with us and we took notes. He walked us through everything and he was not in a hurry. He also answered all questions.
However, we're having some trouble with the hot tub since the auxiliary jets won't stay running. The jets over the bench, where you sit and it contours your body, won't stay on for a full 15 minutes. I have called Master Spas and I also left them an email about the matter. The lady who's in charge of that is on vacation this week but she said she was going get someone to either call and walk us through how to fix it or come out. I haven't heard from anybody, though. Other than that, the hot tub's quality is great and I'm ready for it to run like it's supposed to so we could really experience it.
Hi Kerrie. We're glad that you're enjoying the tub. As far as the issue with the jets, I'm not sure which lady you would've spoken to about this - so I'm guessing you spoke to your dealer and not the corporate offices. I've sent your review on to our corporate customer care team so that they can follow up with you. Hopefully your dealer has helped you by now, but if not I know our team will be more than happy to help. Thank you for the feedback. We appreciate it!

Master Spas had a spa show in Asheville, North Carolina at the Ag Center. And the only reason I bought a Master Spa is because they put on a show for a three-day weekend and brought them all in and had specials. I got the Michael Phelps spa because it was the best that they make, and it has triple filtration, which mattered to me a lot.
The sales staff was outstanding and the best. I had to call service because there was a leak. The guys showed up the next day, figured it all out, drained it, flipped it upside down, cut out the broken pipe and put in a new one, all before I got home from work. Having the tub has improved the life of my whole family. We’re in it every day and I get home from a long day at work and sink right into it, and it’s heavenly. There’s an app that is associated with the spa wherein you could check on your spa or turn on your spa before you get home. So, when I’m in the office, I should be able to go on the app and turn on the heat and it’ll be heated by the time I get home. However, that app needs to be updated.
Hi James! We're thrilled to hear that you and your family are enjoying your spa and getting so much use out of it. And it sounds like your experience with the service team was excellent! We love hearing that. Thank you for the feedback! We appreciate it. Happy hot-tubbing!

I bought my Master Spas at a spa show, from a company that isn't in my town, so to get servicing, they have to call a third party service person in my town. It's a pain and I had my dial went out on the top of it. They had to order another one and it took forever. I had to coordinate between the people I bought it from and the people that serviced it. But as far as the spa itself, I like it. It's neat and I think it's high quality. I'm satisfied with what I was seeing online with what I get out of my spa. It's supposed to be good and I got the best deal I possibly could.

We went to the expo dinner where Master Spas was having an exhibit, one in Delta and one in Waco. We decided to purchase a Twilight hot tub from them because my husband has a torn rotator cuff and needed a spa to help him with his pain, and his doctor did a prescription. However, they told us that if we got a prescription, they would refund $550 to us but I have not yet received the refund, so I'm going to call them and see why, because I have sent them the prescription. But that's the only issue we have. The spa works great. The Master Spas team were from all over the world and we had a really good experience with the two guys that we dealt with there, the finance guy and the salesman, and everybody was very good. The hot tub we got is of very good quality and it's helping my husband's shoulders.

I met with a couple of the sales reps at one of those spa shows in Tudor Park. I was in the market and the HL 8.5 fit all the criteria that I was looking for. This one's far better than any of the ones we've had in the past. The size was right and the way the seats were designed looked like it was going to work better than one of those with the lay-down seat in it. I also like the interchangeable jets. I can unscrew the ones from one side and bring them to another seat if I wanted to and I can change the pressure of each jet. It put me way over budget but I’m glad that I went higher in with it instead of finding another cheap tub. We got a cheap one in the past and then a mid-quality one and I can see why they're charging a little more for the Master Spas tub.
And then I had an issue with the HOA and whether or not I was going to be able to get a slap-down for it. So I talked to the delivery guy a few times about trying to coordinate and getting a good delivery on it. Then I had to give them a call today because we finally got the water in it, got the electrical hooked up and there may be something leaking on it. They passed my information on to one of their technicians and he’s supposed to get in touch with me in the next couple of days. I’d like to see all the other stuff get addressed but with the dealings I’ve had with everybody so far, they've been very friendly and helpful. All in all, I enjoy the tub quite a bit. I’ve already had a knee rebuilt and I don’t have a bathtub that’s big enough and the tub has been wonderful for me.
Hi Austin! We're so thrilled to hear that you are enjoying your new HL 8.5! The interchangeable jets are definitely a huge asset when it comes to purchasing a spa. With all the various high-end features you're definitely getting the most for your money, and we're glad that you see that too! Thank you for the review and thank you for being a loyal customer.

I was excited to get my Plug and Play Hot Tub. We bought it at the Hot Tub Show. Unfortunately, it wasn't exactly a plug and play. First, it needs a specific outlet, not more amps, but a single outlet/plug in and not a double outlet. I have a standard double outlet and so I had to get an adapter until I can get an electrician out to change the outlet. Secondly, this was such a new type of hot tub, there was a defective part that needed to be replaced before it could be used. They replaced the part with another defective part that the technician had to file the ball bearing down. Fortunately, it is working now. So after a month, we were finally able to enjoy our hot tub. Hopefully there will not be any further glitches.

There was a sale in the area and I went and looked, and Master Spas caught my eyes. It's a little three-person tub and triangular-shaped. It has the standard lights and pumps and controls for that. I had another tub that was much larger and enjoyment-wise, the two tubs are comparable. I like all the jets in the Master Spas tub and the ability to easily move them around, which I could not do in my previous tub. It's cheaper, easier to maintain, less chemicals and easier on the pocket when utility bills come in. I put in a service call to have a pump replaced, because it would not function the duration of a soak, and that was easily taken care of.
I like it and I use it often. So far, I've no issues. Everything is working as expected. There was that issue with the pump, but sometimes that happens. I have to accept the fact that things slip through once in a while, but they were more than willing to correct the problem for me. Overall, it's very comfortable. It's nice to have that luxury sitting at home.
Hi Clark! It's good to know that you are enjoying your tub and that our team was willing and able to get those pump issues resolved for you. Thank you for the feedback!

My wife has circulation problems. We looked at all of the spas and Master Spas, from a quality and features standpoint, had the best that was out there. We got the LSX 800 spa hot tub however, the manual was very inefficient in terms of the inner workings of the spa and there were also various problems in getting everything started. The distributor was terrible too. Both the owner and the sales manager couldn’t be bothered with me because they already had my money. The difficulty we had starting it up got me to a point where I wanted to take it back. But, fortunately, this one young lady really went on efforts in terms of solving my problems and getting me up and running. She was able to contact an engineer and got a drawing of the various vents and control mechanisms. So far, we had one diverter that was faulty and we’re in the process of replacing that.
Otherwise, the spa has worked out well and it's feature-loaded. But Master Spas needs to expand the troubleshooting area in their manual. The pumps are a real problem and a neophyte really can’t get it done. You really don’t know what’s going on. The area in regards to filters is way underwritten too and almost all the problems end up being the filters clogging and the maintenance of the filter system is critical.
The heater’s in the wrong place as well. It’s very high in the hydraulic schematics and that allows it to constantly load up with air then it shuts down. Trying to get this thing started took me three days. I had to pour water in it and fire it up. Also, it’s a complex mechanism but there should be more effort by the distributor. They dropped it off and connected it electrically. When I didn’t have any questions, which I didn’t know enough to ask a question, they were happy to leave. For the $15,000 price, it wouldn’t hurt them to have somebody come back 24 hours later to make sure things are running as it is. In my case, I’m still calling the distributor and asking for help.
Hi John, it sounds like a lot of the issues you are having lie with the dealer, so we are going to contact them and see if we can get these issues resolved for you. I bought a Master Blaster spa at the Oil Palace show at a great price. It was $19,000 and I got it for $10,000. It was a closeout deal but they had to make another because they sold all of those out. We were supposed to get our Master Blaster spa no later than January 15th, but it came March the 13th. They informed me that they had to make a new one. But they wouldn't deliver it until I gave the balance. And had I known it was going to be faulty, I wouldn't have paid them. A forklift poked a hole in the main drain and some plastic got caught up inside. When we first started filling it up, water was just pouring out of it. So, it was a freak accident but you can tell that it was done at the factory when they were loading it. It sat out here for three weeks before it got fixed. They had to rip all the undercover off to find the hole. And then, they had to fill all that backup. It was a horrible experience. I've had five spas, but I've never had such an issue in my life.
The spa has four pumps and they wouldn't come on. So, I called them back out here and they were here the next day. The Master Blasters were all shut off down at the base, but they didn't even know about it. They weren't very knowledgeable of the setting controls and they're confusing. But the spa is a fine product and we’re in it almost every night. So overall, Master Spas still did well. Even though there was a mishap, we are still happy with our experience.
Hi Chris! We're so sorry that you had to deal with this issue, a spa in that condition should have never been sent out like that. My wife and I had taken a small vacation in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. We had a little cabin out in the woods and on deck was a hot tub. And then we decided after a week of being there that we just needed to get us one of those. We had been looking locally at things that were for sale. There were four different places here in town that do spas and hot tubs. So, we had an idea of what we were looking for and a price in mind of what particular model was typically worth. Then we happened to be out at a show at the fairgrounds here at the same time Master Spas was having a deal. And they were the only ones there. My wife and I looked at each other and went, "Let's go ahead and do it. This is our chance, they're not local, we don't know them. This is gonna be good for us."
However, it didn't start well because the asking price for the spa was almost double what it was worth. And whoever was selling them there was not in the know. Since I had been informed and I had been shopping, I already knew what the number I was wanting to spend was. And in the end, they decided to take it and we bought one. But I didn't really like dealing that way. And I almost turned around and walked away. But my wife saved the deal.
We got the hot tub and we bought it because of the amount of jets. It had 41 jets and two different pumps. And it's typically a five-person spa, which is really only good for four, but that's okay. That's all we wanted. And Master Spas makes a good product. Sooner or later, people would ask, "What did you get for that?" Had I told them I gave them the price that was originally asked from me, they'd all look to me and say, "Why, you big dummy." But we bought the spa in the $7,000 range and I was asked over $12,000 from the get-go. And that's a big difference.
So glad to hear you're enjoying your new hot tub after enjoying one first on vacation. It sounds like you actually had the last laugh by getting such a great deal on it. Happy hot tubbing!

I had to rewire the outlet so that it was not a GFI. That was a bit of confusion. Also, one of the bottles of chemicals that they bought were broken. I haven't talked to them about that but they were supposed to send me a replacement of that stuff that was broken. Despite that, I would recommend Master Spas.

He recommended Master Spas to us, and we decided to get the six-person with 40 jets spa from them. I'm having trouble with my shoulders, and this model has four jets in one of the seats hitting right at the shoulders. And it has definitely made a difference on my shoulder and back. I also like that it has two sets of power jets that come out at the bottom side that shoot up in the middle. I love putting my feet on those. The dealer hired a couple of guys to deliver the hot tub, and they did an all right job. It is so much nicer compared to our previous hot tub. It has more jet and power, and easier to maintain. It has very high quality, and I really like the construction on the outside because that's gonna last forever. The old hot tub was cedar on the outside, that's why it was constantly breaking. So far, I'd recommend Master Spas.

We had a Sundance spa, which we liked so well but it was just 110 and we didn't think it had enough power. We then decided that maybe we needed a 220 so when we were in a show by Master Spas in Des Moines, we decided to buy their spa. The people who came and set up the spa were very good with my husband. They told him about the spa and showed him a little bit about it. The spa is nice and I'm happy with the quality but we've had a hard time balancing the chemicals in it. Sometimes, the pH is too high, and there are a lot of bubbles. The salesman said to not add chlorine all the time because it has something in it.
There should be a one-on-one verbal instruction rather than having to read all the complicated paperwork instructions. The people who set up the spa didn't show my husband how to run the spa and didn't tell him about the chemicals. Maybe all the companies are like that because it was the same when we bought our Sundance spa, where they didn't give verbal instruction too. When buying an $8,000 spa, one should get more instructions other than the written stuff. Except for that issue, I'm very happy with the spa and it's 220, which is more powerful than my other one. And I'd recommend Master Spas.

The design of the spa from Master Spas was one of the reasons I got it. It fit in the space that I had, the motor was on the side that I needed it to be on and the steps were where they needed to be. Also, it was a lot nicer than the one I had which was 15 years old. It's a good foot deeper than the other tub I and I like the bed of the hot tub but the lounger is so low into it. I can't lay on it and it’s not working for me because I float up. And then a week after we had tub, one of the jets came off. It took a while to figure it out but we put it back on ourselves. The people from whom we bought it from were nice and were doing their job well. The guys that installed it were very good too. Overall, it's good quality and we’ve been happy with it. But I found one that’s much nicer at Sam’s for $1,000 less. I should have waited a bit and looked around but I didn’t. Master Spas had some of the best customer service reviews in the area. We bought one of their entry line hot tubs, the Clarity. It was within the price range that we were looking for. They were able to give us a bigger discount since it was a floor model. And it came with more features than we were actually looking for which is novel. The person we spoke with was one of their newer sales people. He helped us understand what the features were. And he showed us the differences between what we had as far as what we were gonna get with energy savings. That helped a lot. And we also had one of those kismet things. A friend of ours walked in the door as we were deciding and he said he's got two hot tubs from them. So, for us it was like, “Okay! We definitely like these guys.”
We dealt with their customer service when we had a question after they had installed it. And the customer service was quite good with the technician they sent over. He was knowledgeable, and spent about an hour with my husband just talking about the motor. He talked about how the motor worked as far as what to search for if we hear any strange noises. Just because it was a brand-new spa, and you always listen for those strange noises to see if it’s a problem or not. The power savings did come through, and it cuts the bill from our old one. It was $50 a month down to about $25 which is fantastic. It’s really easy to maintain. And it maintains its heat which is really good. It barely runs and yet it keeps it where we want it to be.
Hello Claire! We're so thrilled to hear how happy you are with your spa and the service you received when making your purchase! Our spas are very energy efficient, and we're glad that you saw proof of that. Thank you (and your friends) for your loyalty to our company! We appreciate it!

Master Spas have an expo for the last 3-4 years in the Civic Center in Port St. Lucie and we went there and looked as we do every year. This year, we finally did it and we got the triangle one called 240 because I was restricted with space. It has all standard features like the lights, except Bluetooth or music. The quality of the spa is first-rate and the finish is good. The tub was mostly for my wife. We're not springs chickens, but we're active and we spend too much time and too hard at the gym, so the tub has made it easier for her and for me.
I'm happy with the spa but the dealer sucks so bad I would never do business with them. They're terrible and they won't even answer the phone half the time. I had some questions and I asked for the tech to come out and set an appointment but they never called nor showed. They also did not tell me that I could get a spa with no tax if I had a note from my doctor, the chiropractor and all that. So on the day that they were gonna deliver it, I went down to their little remote site and told them they're not putting the spa in unless I get the tax taken off, which I'm entitled to. They did but it was like pulling teeth. Now, I buy my chemicals online and I don't want anything to do with those people.

We got a hot tub from Master Spas because it had two reclining seats and it had all the things you could get. The quality is good. We go out, stay in it for a while and enjoy it before bed. But I've got a little issue that I need to check. I can't shut off the circulating pump without turning off the breaker. There's a button for all the jets on the control panel and there's a button that says CIRC. It looks like it's short for circulate but when you press it, it doesn't do anything. I need to call the company about that.
Hi Charles! We're glad that you're enjoying the spa! As for the circ pump, I'm going to have someone from our customer care team get in contact with you about that. Thank you for the feedback! We appreciate it!

We really like our Twilight series 7.25 by Master Spas. It's a product made mostly in the USA which was one of the things we were looking at then. The quality of the product seemed to be as well, if not better, than most of the other brands. The spa has the dual types of jets and the dual-size jet. The spa is relaxing and we enjoy it. In addition, their salesperson really knew the product well and explained everything. The delivery was excellent, too. All we had to do was call them up, tell them when we wanted the delivery and they said they'd do it that day.
Hi Randal! We're so happy to hear that you had such a pleasant experience when it came to buying and using your TS 7.25! Thank you for your review.

I got a hot tub from Master Spas when I went to a show that they had, but it was a spur-of-the-moment decision. I got the basic model, with the jets and lights. It's a corner unit, so it only fits three people. I didn't need a large option. However, within three days after installation, one of the motors went out. I called the dealer that I purchased the hot tub from and he arranged for the repair. A local repairman was sent out to fix the problem, and it was two and a half weeks before the hot tub was fully operational. But other than that, they were responsive to my request for assistance and the motor has been working fine since the repair work was done.
The repairman, who could be a contractor either with the local dealer that I purchased the hot tub from or with Master Spas, was not complimentary of whoever he was working for. He said that he does repair work for a number of hot tub manufacturers, and most of them will send replacement pieces and tell him to throw away the defective piece. But in this case, he was told that he had to pay for the replacement motor and return the defective one, and they had to determine that the motor was in fact defective before he would get reimbursed for the money that he had paid for the motor, and this policy is shady.
He said that, in the future, he was going to terminate his arrangement with them because of that policy. He also said that I might have problems getting repairs made because of that policy, since very few repairmen that he knows in the industry are going to purchase parts and not know if they're going to get reimbursed. So, if I have bigger problems and I find that it's a struggle to get these repaired, that will be a huge issue.
One of the big sales pitches that was given at the show was that the product was better than others on the market because of the way that it was insulated and the ease of access to do any maintenance activities. The salesman even had a floor model opened up so that we could see underneath, that it was not full of foam, but had a silver-like, thermal lining underneath. He repeatedly said that, with other manufacturers, when you open up the bottom of the hot tub, all you see is foam and it's a struggle to access and replace the pieces that you need to do maintenance on.
However, when the repairman showed up to pull out the bad motor and opened the bottom of our hot tub, there was no insulated, silver-like, thermal lining underneath and the entire bottom was full of foam. So, they used that as their sales pitch and the model that they showed on the floor didn't have all that foam, but when the repairman showed up, he was complaining because he was having a hard time getting to what he needs to with all the foam.
At the end of the day, who knows why the motor malfunctioned? It could have been from all the dust from the foam or a number of other things. And I didn't get an owner's manual for a spa I spent a grand on, so I have no idea of anything about it. There's a 90-page manual you can print from online, but given the amount of money I paid, I would've expected to be given an owner's manual.
Moreover, from watching the repairman replace the motor, I observed that there was no water shut-off valve underneath, or if there was one, he couldn't get to it because it was buried in foam. So, he had to pull a motor and it instantly drained the hot tub all over him and the deck. The underneath of the hot tub was clearly wet because of all the water that had ran out. I’m not mechanically-inclined but it doesn’t seem safe that you would have to work under the tub and not be able to shut that water off.
Another thing is that the show where I purchased the tub from was advertised as having spas from a number of different manufacturers, but when I showed up at the convention center, the dealer was showing only one line of spas, that of Master Spas, so I felt like that was misleading and a little shady. However, this didn't affect my purchasing. I had done a little bit of research. But from an advertising perspective and from what I saw when I was looking for some online reviews after this experience, I found a number of people posting messages on different boards that they experienced the same thing that I did.
It was mid-February by the time the hot tub was operational. Now that the motor has been replaced, I am pleased with the functioning of the spa. I got into the hot tub and relaxed. In the short time that I've used the tub, it seemed to be a good product. But because of what I saw underneath the tub, I would caution people that they could potentially run into issues with maintenance.
Hi Rebecca - thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. We have some people from our customer care team looking into all of this to see if we can get more information and figure out a way to resolve these issues. Thank you for the review, we appreciate your honest feedback.

I was at a show and Master Spas was exhibited. I saw a three-person spa on the showroom floor and liked it, so that's the one I bought. I like the jets a lot, and it also has the lights. However, when it was first delivered, I hadn't read the manual that came with it, and when I turned on the jets, they kept turning off after 15 minutes. I called their team for a couple of questions I had and they answered and explained that the jets go off every 15 minutes as a regular feature. Other than that, it's very good. When I get home, I sit in it before I go to bed, and it really relaxes me. It has also made a difference in how I sleep and it's wonderful.

We had great information from the person that did the sale and worked with us, and got us a very good price on our spa. It was very easy to set up and the chemical instructions for treating the water was straightforward. We had it installed in October and we didn't fire it up until about a month ago, and everything was working great.

I bought a hot tub and a canopy from Master Spas. It has a stereo and it's a seven or eight seater tub. I went to other places first and decided to go with Master Spas because I liked the color of the tub. I don't like the filter design though but the price of the spa wasn't bad. I like the spa and it helps me fall asleep. What I don't like are the delivery people who were very unprofessional. They had to borrow my tools. The curtains that I put up the canopy, the first time they brought them over, they gave me the wrong one. So, I sent it back. They forgot about me so I had to call them then I went to their store to pick up the two that they forgot. But the one they gave me was the wrong one.
They were supposed to give me a call back when they got some of them back in stock for the right one but they totally forgot me again. I had to call and remind them. I've had a horrible experience with them. And in the whole process of getting their products and all the crap that went wrong, I was talking to three of their managers.

Master Spas had a hot tub show. I spoke with them and I liked the product, and they seemed to be a reputable company. Their Clarity Spa was exactly what we wanted. It works great and I'm happy with it. We use it three times a week. We enjoy it. My wife had a hot tub growing up, and she enjoys being in the Clarity Spa. We have two little girls and they love it. I need it more than anybody because I've played college and professional sports in the rough kind, so my body is ravaged, and it feels good to get in there. In addition, it seats a lot of people. My daughter had a birthday party and she had four of her friends and herself in there, and my wife and a couple of her friends were also on there. Also, it's very comforting. The jets work very well and are powerful.
The only gripe I have is that, when they delivered and installed it, they left their trash sitting in my front yard. I intend to call the people that delivered it and say they did a great job, but they shouldn't do this. I wasn't happy about that, but other than that, everything has been fine. I would recommend Master Spas. The tub is everything we wanted and it has exceeded expectations.

Install people were very nice. We leveled and prepared the area for install, but the spa did not get leveled after it was placed so now it leans to the back corner which causes problems for jets etc... The water was not tested at time of install which later down the road caused major issues. Copper and iron in our city water ended up being the problem. No one knew what this green goop was. Try this chemical, try this, try that. As first time hot tub owners we struggled hard and had no clues as to why we were getting all of this green sticky goop everywhere.
Finally after 2 months of struggling with buying chemicals, buying a attachment for the hose and trying to fix the issue we drained the tub and started over. To me this all could have been eliminated with a water test at install. This would have told us the products we should be using and what to expect from our spa, and what to watch for. They should just use the hose attachment for install fills, until the customer can bring in a water sample from their home faucet for testing. I think most people working at all the locations need better knowledge of possible problems, and better knowledge of how to fix those problems, not just knowledge on selling. Everyone seems to have a different answer and you just trust that they know what they are talking about.
We still have iron in our tub, but have eliminated the copper (with attachment) even though we are using the hose/tub attachment. No one has any recommendations as to how to get the remaining iron out. We have even had a failed filter that was bad from the get go. We have had a tub shut down which was probably caused by the brand new bad filter, High Bubble bath foaming, and other weird system power surge oddities. Everyone seems great until you have a issue that can't seem to be resolved. I will give props to Jessie at the Castle Rock location for having the best customer service ever. He makes you feel like no matter what, you are an important customer and encourages you to keep at the problem and we can fix it together. Also, Jeff with installation is a keeper for being supportive and helping solve issues when everyone else is at a loss.
Lindsey is very nice, great at selling, but does not have the support she needs when she has a issue she cannot resolve. I think upper management needs refresher courses. Disappointed in several people who I will not name, but they probably know who they are... for not calling back when asked, and others with poor "phone" customer service skills and not following through with tasks. Made me feel terrible for trying to fix on-going issues with the spa. Like we were a burden.
We have come a long way since we purchased our hot tub thanks to YouTube videos and a few key people. We love our spa and want it to stay a pleasure and not a chore. Education to employees, and proper upgraded installation procedures (testing water to find its makeup) could have resolved or eliminated so many of our original issues. Which would have made our first hot tub buying experience so much better. Also maybe pointing the customer to on-line videos for the certain spa purchased would be amazing. Even though we have the manual, it does not explain things well. Videos are awesome!

Called 2 days in advance for time frame and was advised we were not on schedule and the person who called was no longer there and did not know what she was doing. We then got a new delivery date which meant rescheduling the electrician which to say the least was not easy or timely. Spa was delivered and despite having my enclosure special built with double doors they informed me they had to remove 2 screws which would cost me $75. They installed the cover lift in such a way that every time the side panel to access the electric it has to be removed. They gave me no manual which later we found out was inside the side panel. I got the Healthy Living HL 7 from Master Spas and it has the Zero Gravity seating area that provides massage to the shoulders, the feet, and the legs all at the same time. I chose this because my wife is a nurse and she's on her feet all day. And so it's nice to be able to sit in there and have the therapeutic effects of the massage. Every time we use it, we say we're gonna use it more because my wife gets home late. She gets a little dinner and then it's almost too late to get in the spa. But It's actually nice at dark. We live out in a wooded area so we like to sit out there and look at the stars. It has a very nice effect on our life.
The person that sold us the spa was very knowledgeable about the equipment and the way it's made, and was not high pressure at all. He gave us lots of information and really sold us on the idea of buying the spa. He was an excellent salesperson. I've had a pool with a spa attached but this is our first spa purchase. And this is much better. I've had it for two months now and it appears to be relatively good quality looking at the materials on the tub itself. And looking inside the skirting, the materials seem to be good quality as well. However, it's more expensive than I thought it would be but cheaper than what I had looked at actually. I'd recommend Master Spas.

We purchased Master Spas from Empress Hot Tubs on January 10th of this year. They’re great on sales, but after that, it’s like I don't get the service. I was told by Jacqueline, the owner, that she would come and walk me through on how to use the chemicals and the hot tub, and she didn’t do that. She sent a hot tub service guy who told us some things. Each time he’s come, he’s being nice and told us he knew these other problems may come like tightening the diverter valves in the handles as sometimes these are loose because we had one popped off. If these kinds of things are occasional “loosing” that happen in shipping, something should’ve been done that wouldn’t have happened to us.
We also had a little leak from one of the bolts that apparently wasn’t tightened enough. Then there was a leaking thing that shut off the GSPi breaker. The pumps were also frozen and the water inside was like room temperature just above zero. And then after that, just given different chemicals to have to juggle with, when the maintenance guy is telling us different chemicals to use and the floater that’s easier, it’s like there is confusion. Then the filtration system, if it's running steady or if I have to clock it in because I read in the manual I can set the times to do that. The maintenance guy said that it runs all the time.
And then we had to take out the filters. The maintenance guy said that other filters do it this way while the other one clogs it quicker and it affects the heating. We’ve also hooked up the Wi-Fi thing but then our son checked the settings and the Master Spas’ head thing too. The maintenance guy told us that the Wi-Fi signal isn’t strong enough and isn’t working properly. So, our app to control or check our hot tub is very intermittent that we can't go on if we’re away and check our hot tub which is one of our safeguards to be on top of things.
There are so many different things going on that it makes us concerned. If they know all these ins and outs and they haven’t walked us through it, we feel leery on how we're gonna take care of our hot tub. Stuff like that should be told and explained to the owner so then we're not reading something and then experiencing different thing and not knowing if it's safe or doing the right thing. For a brand-new top of the line hot tub, it’s not being the best experience. They got the service guy telling something different that’s in the manual, too.
I called their customer service a few times and I thought they were listening, apologetic and sympathetic. They said that the support guy was really helpful and he could fix that. But these things shouldn’t be happening in the first place for a brand new $16,000 hot tub. They shouldn’t be having little glitches that are easy to fix like this water shot up and it blew blood vessels in my eye. That shouldn’t happen to an owner of a hot tub.
We had some friends that had the tub and never an issue for years. It was all great so we’re a little freaked out to have these things. And then when they wanted to charge us $90 service call within a few weeks of having the hot tub, we thought, really? It was a little surprise to charge someone when they just had this major upset. And then later the home office said it’s the travel time that’s not covered. But I think there should be a little kindness and ethics there.

We want to make sure that you're happy with the purchase of your Master Spas hot tub, so we'll have someone from our customer care team reach out to you as soon as possible to help get this situation resolved. Hi Dave! We're happy to hear that your overall experience with Master Spas has been such a positive one. As for the filter, whether or not it should be floating would depend on what model you have. I had a hot tub before and as far as being comfortable, Master Spas' the worst one yet. My body doesn't fit in the bucket seat that has it around the neck. I'm only five-eleven and a half, and my shoulder blades hit the part that your neck’s supposed to rest up against. It's too low. And when I sit down, it's hard to stay in the seat. The buoyancy floats you around. But my wife likes it and she sits in it a lot. My previous hot tub was a deep seating, and it was deeper than most tubs. I should've been thinking about that when I bought this one. I didn’t sit in it at the show. I was in a hurry and just bought it.
Also, the scum problem is tough. It started right after the first use. I haven't called customer service about this. But I called Master Spas yesterday because I'm still waiting for the dealer to come out and replace the panels that were damaged on delivery. They said that the panels are supposed to be in Friday, and they’ll be out the following Monday to install them. I shouldn’t have bought it because I think I paid about $3,000 more than I should have. I wouldn't recommend Master Spas at all.
