I love my Master Spas. I wanted to go somewhere where I could walk in and say, “This is what I want. This is what I need.” I looked at the reviews for Master Spas, and all of them were fabulous with no little gray areas of any type of drama. I found the location, and they have the best customer service ever. I work in retail, so that's very important to me. As far as the product, the lights are my favorite. My husband loves the captain's chair.

The installation guys were awesome. I got the Precision 7 which has a lot of good jets with the neck and back. I can do my calves and I go in there every day. It's the water therapy. Master Spas is a great spa. For the going price, people get good overall value.

My wife and I bought a swim spa from East Coast Spas, manufactured by Master spas. We were told at the time that the manufacture time was five months. So we planned the construction of the room addition to the house for the spa to coincide with the anticipated completion of the manufacture. Everyone was very helpful and smiley when we paid the down payment. After that it was all curt, snippy, canned responses.
That was eight months ago. There is a policy of providing absolutely zero information about any specific orders, by Master Spas and East Coast Spas. They claim that they have no information about any specific order. They refuse to look it up. They post general information about general manufacturing trends. We were then told that there was about a two month delay in the general production trends due to part supplies from Covid related delays. That came and went. About 20% of my phone calls were returned. Those phone calls that returned refuse to provide any information about our specific order or give any sort of updated estimate on delivery.
In my opinion this is not no service, it is negative service. When you officially collude with between the manufacturer and the retailer to provide no information whatsoever about any specific order, I call that negative customer service. So we have a partially completed, open to the elements structural addition to our house as winter is closing in, and we cannot even get an informed estimate or any specific information whatsoever. This causes me to worry, is Master Spas and East Coast Spas a Ponzi scheme? Is there a really ever going to be a Spa? Why would they collude to provide no information?
Hi Larry. Thanks for reaching out.
Thanks for giving us the opportunity to respond to your frustrations. First, we appreciate you choosing a Master Spas swim spa from one of the specialty retailers that sells our products.
Second, we absolutely acknowledge your frustration with not getting some better answers. It’s been a very challenging time the past year and a half and the continuous shortages and delays have been a moving target making specific communication of updates almost impossible. It’s obvious the opportunity to communicate more is there.
We did reach out to the retailer you purchased from and they confirmed which order is yours. We are happy to report that your order has been assigned a serial number and should start in our production in the next 2 weeks. The retailer will call you as soon as they see it completed and have it arranged to be shipped.
Thanks again for your patience and we look forward to having you in your new swim spa soon.

I like the entire thing. There are a couple of things that we would have done differently though. Knowing now what we know, if we could have gotten the hot tub side bigger, that would have been a little nice. We would have opted for the stronger motor and a different model on the swimming side. My husband outswims it and he said it's not strong enough. I said, “Then don't swim as fast.” But still, we have no complaints.
The service from Master Spas was great. We bought this during a pandemic and it took 355 days to come. We appreciate, love and understand the whole thing. But our salespeople were not awesome during that time. We had requested a site visit and they said we don't need one. It was not a lot of great communication coming from the sales team. They told us six months. But not another six months. I understand their perspective though. They're a small company who had to deal with even less because who's buying a hot tub during a pandemic? It was just very stressful and upsetting and we had to take my kids back to another hot tub show to explain to them that we bought one because they didn't believe us. They thought we were scammed.

We live in Utah and bought our spa two years ago. 6 months in a pump went out. The lights went out. This year the control panel stopped working. They only have one service technician in Utah and he doesn't respond. The dealership pushed me over to the manufacturer. I have called them twice and they said they would contact him. He has stopped responding completely. Master Spa hasn't offered any other method to getting my 9k spa working. I have only been able to use it for a year of the two we have had it. It's pretty disappointing that if they are going to sell in a state that they don't provide better technician services.

I enjoy my spa very much that I use it several times a week. I use it more from a fitness/health standpoint. I like the ability to use swimming as a fitness tool and that works great. I've learned how to stabilize the jets for slow and faster swims. It’s very easy to do. It also helped me from an arthritis standpoint and stretching. The spa has been a great asset. Master Spas was great to work with. We've all had frustrations with COVID and supplies but the rep communicated with me as often as possible. I didn't have an issue at all. I paid a little bit more for the spa but it was worth it in the end.

I went down to the Master Spas place in South St. Louis to look and see where my friend got her Swim Spa and they happened to have four in stock. We had the money so they let me buy it and pay for it that day. Then, they delivered it in a few weeks. I wanted a tub that did not have the lounger in it and one of the ones Master Spas had in stock was no lounger. Also, I'm only 5'1" with my hair done, so I wanted one that I could sit in and not drown such that my head would still be above the water. Because of the eight seats, in four of them, I could sit with my head above water.
Master Spas sent us the drawings on where the electrical needed to be and it needed to be flat. They asked lots of detailed questions about when they deliver the spa such as if they were gonna need a crane or if it was something that they could back their truck up to and put it in place. I sent them pictures and we got great feedback on how it was gonna take place. They showed up on the day and time they said they were going to. They had three men with them and it took maybe an hour from the time they backed in our driveway until it was put in place.

I purchased a Master Spas hot tub 6 years ago and have had nothing but trouble. They sell in Connecticut but won't service in Connecticut. There is one outside company that services this spa and for the last 3 years we have been without a tub longer than we have had one. We have gone thru 3 heaters 2 pumps and now they say it needs a motherboard. I spent 10k on a tub I can't even use. I have called and emailed them and can't even get a call back. We just ordered a hot tub from thermospa. At least they have a decent customer service department and service their spas. We have had a very disappointing experience with Master Spas.
Hi Linda. We're sorry to hear that you haven't had a pleasant experience. We definitely have service companies in CT. Is your issue that the service company isn't the same as the company you purchased from? East Coast Spas partners with a service company in Connecticut that handles all of those service requests for them. Overall, we're very sorry to hear that your spa didn't meet your expectations. Thank you for the feedback.

Purchasing from Master Spas was great. I bought the 8-foot Michael Phelps super-duper hot tub, the Legend and everything went just fine. The guys who delivered it were really helpful. They brought a special lift and I didn't have to tear down a fence to get the tub in my yard or mess up the neighbor's yard. The jets seem smooth and comfortable. The cost definitely went up since the last one I bought. But that was 10 years ago, so that was expected. In today's times, it was all right. It was $18,000 but it was needed. I have to have a hot tub.

My credit score is almost 800 and I got a loan with a 10% interest rate??? Seriously??? These guys are such scumbags!! Not only have did they screw me on the delivery by only delivering half the spa... no filter and no cover, but now I find I got screwed on a loan. I will NEVER deal with these low class scumbags again and I advise you to steer clear!!! Avoid these people AT ALL COSTS. Do not get caught in their piss poor business tactics and lying and scamming!!! Run fast from these losers! Their product sucks, their service sucks and they suck! These guys are scumbags and deadbeats….DO NOT BUY FROM THESE LOSERS!!!! I should have listened to the reviews where everyone said their service and response to issues is horrible…Well those couldn’t be any more accurate! You’ve been warned…STAY CLEAR OF MASTER SPAS!!!!
Hi Bob. We're sorry to hear that you've had such a negative experience. Unfortunately all of these issues sound like they're more with the retailer you purchased from and not the hot tub itself. Your retailer is a completely separate company from us and thus any issues with the purchasing experience would need to be handled with them. We only manufacture the spas, so if your hot tub itself has an issue we'd be happy to look into it and hopefully get it resolved. However any issues with sales/delivery/service would need to be handled with the retailer who sold you the spa. If there is an issue with the spa itself, please feel free to contact the factory's customer service team by emailing customerservice@masterspas.com or by calling (800) 860-7727 during our normal business hours (7am-5pm, Mon-Thurs; 8am-12pm on Fridays).

We received our Master Spa in November of 2019. We noticed immediately that the spa couldn't hold the 104 set temp. We contacted Master Spa and they sent out a tech. The tech confirmed that the spa was working correctly. Master Spa simply responded that the spa wouldn't be able to keep set temp if the cover was removed. We have noticed this problem at a exterior temp as high as 50 degrees. Disappointed in a spa that can't be used for more than 10 minutes in the winter.

After several attempts, I found the part online in 10 minutes and had it delivered in less than a week. When I informed them that I would like to cancel my order, they suddenly found one, and wanted to charge a 30% restocking fee. When I asked why they said it was standard practice. After several discussions I was told that I was an idiot and I am out 30%. Thanks Master Spas...for nothing.

I purchase a hot tub in Jan of 2021. Paradise Spa's # was the representative for Master Spas. Paradise was up front telling us it would be 4 to 6 months before our hot tub would be delivered due to the Covid. It is now Oct 19, 2021, and I finally got a delivery date. This is after I had to change my color skirting. Paradise has avoided most communication with me, so during the 9 months I have been in the dark. All my information has come from the internet. It is very disconcerting when I see other people saying they received delivery when they purchased theirs after I did.
I took 10+ thousand dollars out of my retirement savings because my husband's doctor said their biometrics system would be good for his back and I didn’t want to go into debt buying. That is money that could have been working for us. I am not sure if the product is worth all of this. Won’t know for a week or so. But I would suggest anyone thinking about purchasing anything from Master Spas – Deposit Only!
Hi Charline. I’m sorry for the delay. I’m glad you reached out to us. Unfortunately, we are feeling the same frustrations when it comes to production delays. The COVID-19 pandemic has created new challenges for the entire manufacturing industry. Mandatory shutdowns, supply shortages, and increased safety precautions have slowed production time. As a result, customers such as yourself have experienced a longer waiting time than originally quoted. The good news is, as different states and communities bring the workforce back in stages, our suppliers have made our inventory of materials top priority so we can keep producing. Please know that our manufacturing is busy working diligently to meet unprecedented consumer demand, and we are producing at full capacity — as our supplies come in (and every week that status is different).
As far as the issues with communication with your dealer, Paradise Spas, there's not much we can do. They are an entirely different company so any issues in regard to working with them will need to be taken up with their customer service team. We are only able to help if the issue is with the spa itself as we are the manufacturer, not the retailer you purchased from.
We hope to hear that you love your hot tub when it gets delivered.

Master Spas had a good reputation. I got the Clarity Spa and I like it. The people who installed it didn't have the electric set up right. So, when the electrician came to check everything, he was like, “Oh, they didn't do it right.” But other than that, everything was fine. We enjoy the product.

I bought a Master spa and they have changed some things from the ones that were made previously. It is terrible!! I have a 6 seater and if you want a pressure that is sufficient to stimulate muscles and joints, this is NOT for you. If you want enough pressure you MUST turn off all jets in other seat for it to be effective in one seat. I couldn't believe it with the money I spent and how inefficient this unit is. I bough one of the best units. Master Spas is way over priced for the efficiency of the product.
I had one a few years ago and it was wonderful. All seats had great pressure at the same time. Not anymore. I spoke with several people from the company over 8 times and finally was told after months of waiting that if I wanted to spend another $3500 they would switch it out. I already spent way too much and was not about to get ripped off a second time so I denied the offer.
Hi Mary Jean. We're sorry to hear that you're not happy with your new spa. Do you know what kind of spa you owned previously? We really don't hear this kind of complaint often. If we had to guess, it's possible that the spa you owned previously was a 3 pump model as opposed to the 2 pump model you own currently. According to our records, the replacement spa that was offered was one of our higher-end 3 pump models. Unfortunately if you aren't willing to take the upgrade there's not much else at this point that we can do. We really are sorry to hear that you aren't happy with the pressure in your new spa. Thank you for the honest feedback.

The sales reps were good. But one thing we were not happy about was how they downplayed the cost of electrical hook up. It was a lot more expensive than what they said it would be. That kept us from getting the product installed for an extended period of time because we didn't have enough extra to do that. Master Spas was great. They honored their commitment. We could have been left with paying and getting no product but they delivered and we were grateful. Also, when we bought our spa, we were told we could keep it in the warehouse until we were ready to pick it up. That ended up being a longer period than we thought it would be. We didn't get it installed and running until 10 weeks ago and we were past the warranty of it when it was delivered. But as far as actually using it, it's like brand new.
Also, if I pay $10,000 for something, I want it to be perfect. I can change the color schemes and when I'm on green, one of the LEDs is red. I called about it and nobody got back with me. There are also some stuff on the LCD panel which are hard to read, like the numbers are upside. It wasn't like that initially but now it looks weird. We're out of luck because we're out of warranty even though we probably shouldn't be because we didn't get the spa set up until recently.

The reps were helpful, insightful, gave me good direction, and knew what they were talking about. However, when they sell a spa, the technicians that deliver it could spend a little more time with the customers going over stuff and showing them how to test water and some of the finer points that come with the spa. I've had to call Master Spas on several occasions 'cause I couldn't get the water quite right. I'm a first time spa user and they were willing to help and walk me through everything. Other than that, I love the Clarity 7. My wife was skeptical about getting it, but she thoroughly enjoys using it. It's relaxing and at our age, it feels good to get the old bones massaged and heated. We feel comfortable.

We ordered one of the six-foot Master spas through our dealer during the pandemic. It was a quite an extensive delay in getting the spa, but I understand that’s the way it works. We've had a hot tub and spa for years, but because of the ordering and the delays, the other one completely died. We were eight months without one and it's nice to be able to have a spa back, not only for enjoyment, but for therapeutic purposes as well.
We're very pleased with Master Spas. It's of much higher quality than the Aspen spa I had, which worked well for a bit then it constantly had some issues that needed to be repaired. With our Master spa, the controls are easy to use and the insulation is very high quality. So far, the jets have been very easy to adjust and everything is working the way it's designed. Also, the cost for the quality we got was comparable to most manufacturers that size. We looked around at some that were less expensive, but they didn't have the aesthetics or the features, and they didn't appear to have the same level of quality.

The product itself is great and if a customer could just deal with Master Spas without having to go through a sales rep, it'd be perfect. The salespeople were shysters and I'd never do business with those people again in my life. The guy I bought from said, "You put so much down, and then you got to get a note from your doctor," which I had. He said, "Okay. It should be ready to go." I bought the spa on January 7 and I was supposed to get it somewhere in March, but without a phone call or an explanation, I ended up getting it in mid-July. I kept calling to ask what was going on and where we were at, but I couldn't get ahold of anybody.
I finally threatened to take it all back and sue them, and I started getting phone calls back saying, "Sorry, it's just on backorder." On the other hand, the people that delivered spa were amazing and I couldn't ask for anything better. The guys were nice, friendly, and helped me out. I love the spa too. I stretch in there and I'm more flexible. I feel better, and I don't hurt as much. I'd get on it 24 hours, seven days a week.

I understand during Covid a lot of manufacturing has experienced supply chain issues and that our new norm is to wait 5-6 months for a manufactured product. With all that being said my spa was delivered on 5/31/2021. I have not yet been inside my $7000 hot tub. First it took months for them to get me the plug just to get electric to it. After I filled it and primed it and got it ready to use, the console has an error code on it. No one knew what the error code meant for the hot tub. After it took weeks to find out the error code was the part was put on order. The hot tub works but runs constantly and I have no idea what the temp is. I was told it was a board and have been waiting 2 months for that. I am not new to hot tub since I had one for 15 years prior and know that this is not how it is suppose to work. As a consumer I would not recommend this manufacture or their sales representatives Southeast Spas to anyone.
Hi Joan. We're sorry to hear that you've had issues with your spa. We show on our end that the parts needed have been delivered to the service center that will be doing the repair. We like the spinning jets and the way they adjust. How you can interchange them was phenomenal. We also like the shelves and the quality cover. The installation went without a hitch. They fully told me about the installation, what to expect, and the spa classes. The communication between the website on what to expect and where to place the spa helped immensely. The only thing was the noise that the pumps put out. It could have been insulated better. Other than that, go to a Master Spas because it's a quality product. They were more than willing to go that extra mile to make us feel really comfortable. We got the Twilight 7.2 series. It had the most number of jets and it looked like the one that was going to be able to do the best “massaging of the back.”
Also, the installers worked harder than any crew I've ever seen to meet our requirement. We came in saying we want the spa but there was no backyard to put it in. But we wanted to put money down to hold one because we know there's a long lead time with COVID and all that. We said we would give them a call when the backyard’s ready. It costs twice as much and we never would have spent that much, but the first one was paid for. We liked one of the few they had in stock so we took it. Otherwise, it would have been a 400-day wait. They delivered it and we like it.
We're trying to figure out how to keep the water clear. We ended up taking out the orange filter and putting in two paper ones and hammering it with chemicals. The orange filter takes out the chlorine and it's nice that you don't have the smell but we're having a hard time keeping it clear. We're gonna put it back and see if we can try it again. I called my saleslady and asked her about it. She said, “You're doing it right. It should clear up in two or three days,” but it didn't. It stayed cloudy for quite a while. But overall, we like the tub and Master Spas answer everything they can and are forthcoming.

We do, however, acknowledge that wait times have been longer than you may have originally been quoted upon purchase. Unfortunately we're feeling the same frustrations.
The COVID-19 pandemic has created new challenges for the entire manufacturing industry, including ourselves. Mandatory shutdowns, supply shortages, and increased safety precautions have slowed production time. As a result, customers such as yourself have experience a longer waiting time than originally quoted. The good news is, as different states and communities bring the workforce back in stages, our suppliers have made our inventory of materials top priority so we can keep producing.
In the meantime, please know that our manufacturing team is busy working diligently to meet unprecedented consumer demand and we are producing at full capacity — as our supplies come in (and every week that status is different). I attended the Reno Swim Spa and Hot Tub Expo and purchased Balance 9 Clarity Spa. Told it would be 8-10 weeks. I have been unable to reach anyone regarding the status of my order, I get the run around and no response or offer of assistance. I have signed up for email updates, which is useless. Email updates remind me what I need to do to be ready, about every 2 weeks.
I see there are many customers who attended the same show, same experience and no answers. The agreement says estimated delivery.. Does not state, nor was it communicated by the salesperson, the delivery may take 4-16 months. Important disclosure to customers considering purchase, don’t you think? If I knew order/ delivery would take this long and now I see could be even longer, I would not have made the purchase. A couple weeks delay due to COVID is understandable, delays of 4-16 months is not. Why would you continue to have shows/expos if you are unable to meet current demand?
Hi Patricia. I’m sorry for the delay. I’m glad you reached out to us. Unfortunately, we are feeling the same frustrations. Any issues with poor communication with your sales person will need to be taken up with the retail company you purchased from. We manufacture the spas, but they are sold through third party dealers that are completely separate companies from us — so any problems encountered during your sales experience will need to be handled by them directly.
While some customers may decide they aren't willing to wait for their product, we have plenty of customers who are willing to wait and would prefer to get in the queue now as opposed to waiting until lead times lower to submit their order. Because of this, many of our dealers are still holding shows and expos so that those people can order their spa and get in line now.
Even when delays are unavoidable and outside our control, we do try to provide our customers with production delay updates. You can find those here: https://www.masterspas.com/production-update

Brett, the salesperson in the store, was stellar. I had a building project going on and I was considering getting a spa. When Brett came out, that sealed the deal with Master Spas. I looked at several other spa companies. I even went and visited several other ones, and I had other people who might come out. But I liked Brett's personality, his customer service, everything that he does, and I felt like he was a brother, a friend, and that he was gonna be there with me all the way. Also, Master Spas is right around the corner from me.
I really need someone to come out though. They did do a little training when they put it in, and I'm doing the best I can with it. But I do have a few more questions that I need to ask about cleaning the filter and about some things having to do with the access electronic panel. I got the Michael Phelps. I'm 5’10 and I really wanted to swim in a pool, so I wanted to get the biggest, widest one that I can get. Now, Brett said with Michael Phelps’ height and size, it would be the best one. It's got the lights. It’s got the swim in place, the current that you can adjust fast and slow. It's got the spit-ups, the spouts where the water shoots up out of it. I'd like to learn the panel more so that I can really know the quality, but it’s fun. The current is good. It's good for exercise.

I have a 2 year old Force swim spa, manufactured by Master Spas. Upon original installation, the waterfall feature failed, as it had not been properly seal at the factory. Water got down to the electrical box and the breaker tripped. Finally had it service repaired, and everything was fine. Unfortunately, earlier this year, the Ozone unit failed - with a split in the pipe. Water dumped onto the electrical box, but the unit did not trip off. I shut off the circuit breaker in my house to the unit and dumped the water out of the spa. I noted that the circuit breaker and GFCI remained wet after a few days - so I opened up the electrical box. Water poured out and the circuit breaker was rusted beyond use. Upon further investigation it appears the design allows water to intrude from the wiring inlet, and the sealed box prevents the water to escape.
The Master Spa dealer in Tennessee noted the parts (formally called a wave propulsion distribution box) would be replaced under warranty. That was back in April. Despite some recent emails - I have heard nothing. Very concerning for a $40,000 spa that is two years old, and has a clear safety issue. For a unit that costs this amount, I am surprised they do not use an IP rated front panel to assure people do not get electrocuted.

I got the top of the line from Master Spas and it has everything I can think of that a spa needs. We like it but they need to be more upfront. I put in the wiring myself for that unit and they weren’t specific as to how much wire I needed in order to get to the actual service panel. Where the panel was was not anywhere close to where the wall was. The salesman said that it just needs to reach the spa and that means that you’re gonna take the wiring from anywhere on that location as long as I have enough to reach the spa, and I had plenty to reach the spa, and then some. It would not reach the panel so I had to go buy another expensive length of wire in order to get it all the way to the service panel. In any case, that needs to be better disclosed to the new potential buyers.

I was told to contact customer service. Customer service told me there is no update and to contact my sales rep. Sale rep said it has to go through customer service. Customer service tell me after 17 weeks it could be anywhere from another 2-4 weeks or up to another 8-12 months. The contract states “estimated” which means there is no timeframe they are held to.
I was told I cannot get a refund. I asked for the manufactures phone number. Called the manufacturer where I was routed back to the same customer service department. I was told there are shortages everywhere and per the customer service rep “I went to Buffalo Wild Wings and there is a shortage of wings even”. That made a lot of sense. Long story short no one can tell me when my swim spa will be done but it is anywhere from 2 more weeks to 12 months and they can keep my $16k and there is nothing I can do because it is up to the manufacturer at this point.

I bought my Master Spas pool through a distributor which is Leisure Works out of Ann Arbor. It's not been that great with them. The pool had a defect when it arrived. It had some moisture in the electrical panel. They did replace it and it took a couple of months (which isn't surprising due to all of the shortages going on) but they haven't been super helpful. We couldn't find filters. We were asking for alternatives but we weren't given any help at all. But we absolutely love the pool. It's easy to use and we love the features. Also, the lifts that we got are easy. I can do it by myself if nobody's home. The pool has got everything that you could ask for with the exception of built-in speakers. It does not have Wi-Fi. Also, it only has a one-year warranty, so I'm a little concerned about that. I hear that repairs can be costly, but I won't know that for a while.

I got the Twilight from Master Spas. I liked its size and cost as well as the availability. The installers came within a week and the hot tub was running within an hour. So, it was super quick. The first week that we have it, when we were taking out the filters, one of them got a little cross-threaded during the installation. Wherever you try to undo it, it keeps on screwing. So, you have to set it in there. Hopefully, it's not the hot tub itself that’s cross-threaded. I’ll find out when I change the filters in a few months. Then, the dial that turns on and off the jets inside the tub came off in one of the jets. So, we had to YouTube and call the company, and figure out how to put it back on. Otherwise, it’s good.
The hot tub has a lounger and it has room for five people. It has a little foot thing that you can put your feet on that I like and I also like the different lights and the quietness whenever the jets are on. The hot tub is something that the whole family can use at the end of the day to be able to have a place where we can relax, talk and hang out. We’ll probably use it more in the winter. We use it some in the summer but it’s hot here. It was a super positive experience with Master Spas and I would recommend them. People should look into it.

My wife and I were looking for a new spa. At a local spa show we fell in love with the idea of a swim spa and the salesman from Master Spa was very convincing. After delivery and after owning for 2 years, I had hoped that someone told us the following. The obvious, a swim spa is 3-4 times as expensive as a spa. We had to pay for a concrete slab base for the new spa with the ability to support 1900 gallons of water plus the weight of the spa which is around another 500 lbs. We had to have a new 50 amp breaker and electrical installed to the spa. Once we got it assembled, we noticed - There is no way to drain it.
You are supposed to replace the water 2-4 times a year depending on use and you are responsible for purchasing your own submersible pump to do it. For CA, the water costs are quite costly as well for changing out the water. The covers are very difficult to get on and off. Even with the best mechanical lifts that you also have to buy on your own and install, you need to open the covers over 5-6 ft. above your head and they are heavy.
Maintenance - The skimming top layer filters do not do a good job of filtering the surface. From the beginning, oils, dirt, debris, will not effectively get drawn to the filters even when the jets are on. The majority of the volume of filtration comes from 2 inlets under the seating area and I do not think they back-flow to the filters for cleaning the water. There also is not enough force to remove dirt or debris off the bottom of the spa basin. Filters are proprietary to Master Spa and 2-3 times more expensive. only 2 of the 3 filters have generic sizing for replacement.
Warranty - Within the first 3 months, one of the decorative water jets stopped working. After an e-mail to the company, being rejected by 2 spa technicians, contacted a closer spa repair company 60 miles away and after 3 weeks, finally had a technician come out and remove manufacturing debris (wad of plastic) from the tube. The technician requested mileage covered for the repair in which Master Spa paid for.
At a year and a half old, the spa started leaking. Once again, contacted customer service, contacted the previous technician, Master Spa is no longer covering mileage. So, even though the repair is covered by the warranty, I have to pay $100 each time the technician comes out. To summarize before buying - actually test the swim spa for swim resistance and ease of use. The control valves are tough to turn. Swimming is challenging since the water force pushes you to the sides and it's hard to keep at the correct pace. Be aware of where the nearest service technician is. Anything farther than 30 miles will get a mileage charge that is not covered. Keep in mind it is neither a spa (seat jets are not that strong) or a pool but something in between.
Hi Ken. Firstly, thank you for providing your feedback. We do appreciate it and we’re sorry to hear that your swim spa isn’t what you had hoped it would be.
You are correct about the drain. Due to the physical size of the swim spa, using a submersible sump pump is the most effective way to drain it quickly. Please also know that your water doesn’t have to be replaced 2-4 times per year if you feel the water quality is still good. We have many customers who go a year or more before draining and replacing their water.
As for the cover, we’re sorry to hear that you didn’t feel the cover lifter provided much assistance. We usually have great feedback from customers using cover lifters so it’s unfortunate that you didn’t feel it helped much. We do have an alternative cover, the Axis Cover System, that rolls up instead of folding. I’d encourage you to look into it if it sounds like something that could help.
I’d like to also address your concerns with filtration. As filters get dirty, there will be less suction and water being drawn into the filter housings. Regularly rinsing and cleaning your filters will allow the most optimal amount of water to draw into the skimmer and filter housing. If the filters are removed and there is draw felt as the pumps are operating, there is likely no problem at all. If you’re having an issue with debris settling at the bottom of your swim spa, I’d recommend buying a spa vacuum with an extendable arm. You can purchase them from Amazon and we’ve had customers who use them say that they are super helpful if your swim spa is installed in a place where leaves and debris are commonly getting into your water.
If you have any questions about your warranty, you can find a copy of your warranty on our website. (Click “Resources” in the top right corner, scroll down to “Warranties”, then select “Swim Spas” at the bottom. From there you can select the warranty that applies to your product.)

I don't have any complaints about anything although I noticed the other day when I was looking at the control panel, it looks like it's got a brown spot sliding off to the side and a horizontal line. We NEED our hot tub! Husband has spinal injuries from auto accident, I have back injuries from lifting people at work. We have owned hot tubs at last 4 homes- 1 VitaSpa followed by 3 different models of Hot Spring spas. When researching latest and greatest tech in hot tubs, Master Spas was top of the list for therapeutic features (magnetic pain relief, targeted jets) as well as construction quality. The nearest store was Southeast Spas, I called to ask about availability and was told orders were running a year out due to pandemic delays. We were happy with our Hot Springs spas, so I contacted a dealership for them- same answer, a year for an order to be received. The pandemic not only delayed construction because of factory closings, but materials were also an issue.
Just about convinced we would HAVE to wait a year, I saw an online ad for a National Hot Tub Expo here in Ocala, FL. I called the phone listed to inquire about brands of tubs, was DELIGHTED to learn it was Master Spas! I spoke with Troy ** when I called, he was nice enough to find out what models would be at the show. He called back and told me a Twilight 7.2 and an 8.2 would be available, and I immediately responded "I WANT THE 7.2, no questions, I've DONE my research".
Understanding our physical need for the tub, Troy agreed to meet us at the Expo, we signed the contract Friday afternoon, understanding the tub would be delivered after the conclusion of the show. We got the delivery notice the NEXT DAY, and the tub was delivered by Ian and Robert (2 VERY professional gentlemen) they did an AMAZING job manipulating our tub between tight spaces to get it onto the concrete pad in the backyard. They even gave us instruction for moving the tub into its final position! The day after the Hot Tub Expo ended I received another phone call from Southeast Spas to inform me if I was still in the market a few hot tubs were still available. Our experience so far has been very professional, with excellent follow-up on our inquiries, and fast, efficient sales and delivery experience. We can hardly wait for the concrete pad to cure so our new hot tub can be placed and connected- stay tuned for product satisfaction review!

Wednesday came and we had to contact him again and he responded that he doesn't know when his truck will be fixed and that there are 6 hot tubs on his trailer.
Called our Sales Rep. and left a message. He called back the next day and he said he'd check into it, and call us back the next day. No call back. Called him again today and he acted shocked that we hadn't heard from anyone. He wanted us to send him via email all of the details of all of the problems we are having and also wanted us to try to call the shipping company. We don't have an email, we don't have a phone number of the shipping company. It is now May 19th and we have had to do ALL of the contacting to try to figure out when our hot tub is going to be here, they have our money and there has been NO Customer Service whatsoever. 3 weeks trying to get this resolved as of this Friday.
Thanks for the feedback, Thomas. Unfortunately since the issues you're facing are with the company you purchased from and not us, the manufacturer, there's not a ton we can do here. We purchased our Master Spa from a spa show in Reno, NV on Feb 4, 2021. Our salesman, Cary, was great and very thorough in answering our questions. We were told of a delivery time to be between 6 and 8 weeks. I called, after not hearing of anything, on March 30 to check on delivery. I explained that our placement site was ready in which they replied they did not yet have an estimate on delivery as it was still in production and waiting to be assigned a serial number. I agreed and accepted to wait.
I called back on April 7 hoping for a better expectation than the last. But was again given the same answer. About a week later I was called and told that my spa was nearing the end of production and they wanted to confirm my site was ready. I confirmed and advised I had given the go ahead a few weeks prior but understand things get missed and thanked for calling.
On April 27 after still no word of delivery. I called in and spoke with a gentleman, who was more than condescending and rude. He advised salesmen tend to lie and he doesn't know why they told me 6-8 weeks as it can take up to 40 plus weeks and I need to be patient. Also if I can understand then I should check the fine print on the back of my contract as they state delivery times are not guaranteed. I disconnected the call.
He called me back to advise we had been disconnected and to finish what he was saying when I let him know that I work in customer service and would be fired if I spoke to someone the way he spoke to me. I also let him know that a simple "I'm sorry for the miscommunication and understand it's taking longer than expected." Would have been fine. WE ARE IN A PANDEMIC and I do understand everything is behind schedule and at high demand. We then hung up. He called me back about 10 minutes later to apologize. I assume the call was recorded and maybe he was reprimanded. I did not call again to check on delivery.
I received a call from the delivery driver on May 12 to advise of delivery that following Sunday, May 16. The delivery driver showed up on time and was friendly. He stated the spa steps, that I paid for and should have been delivered that day, were not sent and that he was told they would be sent to me via UPS. After no package or word, I called Master Spa customer service on May 18 hoping for a UPS tracking number for the steps. It was at that point I was told that the delivery drivers have been directed to say that and really they aren't sending them. (Who tells their employees to lie?) The agent went on to say they stopped production on all spa steps and instead are offering a $50 Refund.... I asked for a supervisor and never received a return call.
Spa steps are much more expensive than $50 for anything of quality. Plus it was not written how much of my overall cost that I spent on the spa was for steps, but I assume more than that!! Also, had I not called to get the UPS tracking number, I never would have received my steps and would assume they never would have called to notify me and to provide a discount. Overall the service, or lack of, we received from Master Spas customer service was more than poor and we are highly dissatisfied. There was zero communication on their end. All we can hope is the spa is worth it!
Hi Kaitlyn. We're sorry to hear that you've been unhappy with your experience with your retailer. I was able to reach out to the Head of Customer Service at the company you purchased from. I passed your review along to him and he provided me with some insight on this situation.
Unfortunately, orders from the Reno show did get pushed out further than originally expected. As for the stairs, due to supply chain issues we've seen major delays in getting them out to customers. Because of this, your retailer has stopped ordering them for the time being. The $50 offered is not necessarily a credit for the cost of the stairs as they are included in your purchase, but when they decided to stop ordering the stairs they felt it would be better to offer $50 than nothing at all.
Your retailer's Head of Customer Service will be reaching out to you soon and I'll also send you a private message with his contact information so you can reach out to him if needed. Thank you again for the honest feedback.

We didn't know about Master Spas till we went to a show that was up in Washington where we ended up buying one. I saw the ad for the show on the phone. We were looking for a spa and we looked at a couple others. We would pursue one of those swim spas and I thought, “Well, if we went up there to the show, they probably have some, and we'd have an idea of what they're like and what they run, the price and all this and that." We went up there, and I didn't realize that it was just Master Spas they were all saying, which was fine.
They have a few different features to them, but there were different models. When we went back, we did a little reading up on Master Spas. We were very impressed with the attitude and the priorities that the company has in terms of supporting Christian schools. We were very pleased that God had brought us up there, because not only was the spa impressive, but doing business with a company like that is always desirable from our point of view.
The one we ended up with was a Clarity Balance 9. When we first bought it, it took a couple of weeks before they scheduled delivery and got it set up. We also had to go South for a family thing and then we had to get the electrical ran and all of the things that we had to do to hook one up. When I opened it up and was able to see inside there, I was impressed with the two big motors and the size of the plumbing. It's a quality unit made well. Our need for it is for my wife because she does all her Pilates and all her exercises in the water. She needed a bigger spa than normal because she's kicking and doing all those kinds of stuff. That was what caught her eye with this one. Plus, we’ve got nine grandkids, so they can all go in there at the same time.
Also, Master Spas has that Eco Filter on them, which is a real added feature. With what my wife and I understood though, the salesman represented it a little bit as, “You don't have to do that kind of stuff that you had to do with other spas.” In reality, it's not a whole lot different. You still have to balance your water, check the spa, take care of it, and change your filters. We just ordered some more filters, so we have those. My wife had another spa before and it’s what we used to do. When you take them out, you'd have to let the bigger one dry and we wanted to have that to replace it. We've got a couple of backups now, so we're ready to do that. We've had the spa functioning for two months now. We also bought a couple of other little things for it like the step and the handrail, which have all been put on. It’s doing a good job for my wife. She is the one who uses the spa and she hasn't used it a whole lot, but she’s really enjoying it.

I understand that it's due to COVID and also due to raw material shortage. It took me six months from date of purchase to receive the spa. I was told that there was a COVID outbreak at the manufacturing plant, so it couldn't be helped. But it would be nicer if it was a quicker turnaround.

The Twilight is the right size for my family of four and it has lots of jets. It also has a lounge seat, durability, and has heat retention. From what I read, it has a low record of needing service and it's overall highly reviewed, from the research I did. When I bought it, I inquired through a web form and a rep called me right before I was about to drive up to Connecticut to go up to a sales show. He told me not to go because by the time I'd get up there, they were likely to be all sold.
In my experience, hot tubs are very hard to get because they're all very popular and on backorder. And it would take six to eight months in most cases with the different brands I talked to. And this representative from the main store out of Philly who called me said to let him call the sales show. And he called the guy running the show in Connecticut and connected us. He said he had that model there and he agreed to hold it for me. Then, I spoke to him and it all worked out well. I ended up buying the tub that way and organizing delivery. The sales representative was very helpful for that and the hot tub was delivered fairly quickly.
I called up again a little later to ask about chemicals and about a little hot tub 101, and the rep was helpful with that as well. I had one issue where the tub came without one jet, so I asked him to send me a new one and he sent me a couple, which was good. Otherwise, I haven't needed service and the tub runs pretty well. The design is comfortable and the jets are powerful. They're versatile and you can switch them around so that all the power of the jets go to any one of the five different areas.

The salesperson from Master Spas was outstanding and the rest of the team were fine. It was difficult getting the spa because of backlog. It was from August to March. But with that exception, they've been very good. Casey, our salesperson, was exceptionally knowledgeable and the transaction was easily completed. We had trouble with the delivery because of bad weather and things of that nature preventing us from getting here. But once it was scheduled and came in, it was done right on time and very professionally. I've offered Casey, our salesperson, if he wanted to come over. We're proud of the environment that we've built around the spa and have a neat video that we could share. But we want to share it privately with them of the crane taking the tub over the top of the house when it was installed. It was fun. We use the tub often. So, it's been all good. The quality of the tub has been super and we enjoy it.

I liked the looks of the Twilight hot tub from Master Spas and it looked like it was comfortable. It’s for five people and it has the lay-down part in it where it has all the jets. Everything is touch-controlled. It's got the lighting and waterfalls. Just being able to sit in it and relax is my favorite thing about it. The rep knew what he was talking about and answered all my questions. He threw in the cover and the step, so it was a good price for us too. People couldn't go wrong with it as far as the price and quality-wise.

One of the local community centers did a show and one of Master Spas' local warehouses set up a display there. We checked it out and they didn't have the one we wanted, so they were willing to give us the next one up. It's just that on the one handrail, the chrome didn't adhere properly so it's starting to peel. My wife has been working with somebody on the customer service side. They want us to take a picture. The knee-jerk reaction was as well, with chemicals and all that stuff happens and it rusts. But we could see that this isn't from that. It's a minor defect, the chrome didn’t stick right to the metal. But then it's a solid cost product. So far, we're happy with the value for it.
If you're somebody that enjoys water and water activity, this is it. My wife has fibromyalgia so it's good for her muscle pains. She can't do workouts or exercises because of the weight and it tires muscles out too much and this takes the weight off of her body so that she can do that. Also, we're both about a year past gastric sleeve, so we eat much healthier by nature and we need some exercise. Owning and running a company keeps us very busy and we don't have time for gym memberships. This is the perfect thing for us. We've talked and compared it to what gym memberships and stuff would be. It's above the ability of most people to throw that in their budget and have it. But we were blessed to do that and it's a nice piece of equipment.

I went to a spa fair out of Dulles Airport and Master Spas had a pretty effective senior sales guy. It was a pretty effective information session. Then I knew upfront there was a delay in delivery so that was okay. But it came right on schedule and the guys were pretty helpful maneuvering it in and getting it set up. They just left the chemicals and they said that I got to do things in order. It was all very hurried. A little leave-behind page, leaflet, or reference would be useful, something separate from what's in the spa manual. It's not necessarily easy to decipher, sometimes. But then I'm quite satisfied with the spa features.

I also have Lupus, which affects my joints, and I'm in it just about every evening. We haven't had it as long enough yet but it's better built and insulated than most of them.

Purchased the cover in July 2020. Material around the handles on both side of the spa cover are torn as the stitching is not of enough quality to support the weight of the cover. Sent pictures to the owner of the store I purchased it through as he said that was the best way to work it if I was trying to file a warranty claim. Noah ** from Master Spas wrote back and stated that the damage was from “improper use”. What’s improper about lifting a spa cover by the handles to open it and enjoy your spa? If they didn’t want you to use the handles they shouldn’t have stitched them into the cover. To top it off, I paid over $600 for it and the cover lasted less than 9 months. I have purchased previous covers online for around $250 with free shipping and had years of quality use out of them. I now know where not to look for replacement covers. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Master Spas!
Hi Derek. We're sorry to hear that you're unhappy with the quality of your cover. The reason our team cited improper use was because of the location of the tearing shown in the images. The pictures show tearing at the seam, some above the handles and some on the underside of the cover by the skirt. These types of tears typically indicate that the cover skirt is being used to lift the spa cover instead of the handles. We understand your frustration, but looking at the pictures of the damage it does seem to line up with what we see when covers are lifted by the skirt.
Thank you for your feedback.

Master Spas had an outside tent sale and we went to that over the summer. The person who sold the hot tub was excellent. We have limited space in our home and so we worked on a certain size to fit in our house. Then they were supposed to call us in December. That's when our hot tub was due. We didn't end up getting it for a month later. We called them and they said that it had been sitting there and that they tried to call us. But neither my husband nor I received any phone calls or messages, so that was incorrect. We had to keep contacting them to get our hot tub.
When they brought the hot tub, the cover was wrong so my husband gave them that cover back and they said that they would return the correct one in a week. We didn't get the correct cover for three weeks and I had to call them again to get that. Then when they brought the right one, it was damaged. So I've had a damaged cover with a dent and a hole on the inside, and they said that they're going to swap it out this Friday. But we're happy with the actual hot tub. It's good for body aches and relaxation.

I do all of my own diagnostics and repairs so I know what to look for. We selected the Clarity 7 spa which is a 6 person spa with two 5 horse power pumps.
The shell of the spa is is very thick and should be even stronger than our old 20 year unit. The internal control unit is the Balboa unit made in USA which is a quality system. We ordered the spa on Friday and it was delivered on Tuesday. Charles and his crew were very professional and reviewed the system, start up, and installed the cover lift system. We are very happy with our Master Spa!

I know other companies are less expensive as well, so I want other people to do the due diligence before they choose Master Spas. I was only exposed to them and I didn't do too much due diligence as I should have.
The guy who sold us everything gave us his cell number, so I always texted him any questions along the way and he's always been great. So far, I enjoy my swim spa a lot. Master Spas is a beautiful tub. We’ve had good luck with it. I like the surrounding part of it. The cover is good and it has an assisted lift on it, which is nice. We only got one problem - it’s attracting beehives. We can’t keep the bees from our hot tub. They say it's the smell of the water on the research we've done. We clean the water out and it would work for a week, and the bees would come back.
We paid a lot more money for the tub than what we could have paid from what we saw from other tubs. But that's because it is a high quality tub. We could have paid $10,000 and we probably could have went as low as $7,000 for other tubs. But the biggest thing was the horsepower. We were looking for the jets. This thing has two 7 horse pumps. My mother (79 years old) purchased a Master Spas hot tub just a little over a year ago at a "home show" of some sort, here in Colorado Springs. She was promised that there would be no issues with service, obtaining parts, etc. She believed the pitch and pulled out her credit card. About 2 months (or less) of the warranty expiring, the hot tub was losing water. I investigated it for her and saw that it was leaking somewhere from the bottom. I called Master Spas for her and they said "no dealers in Colorado Springs" however, they have an "authorized master spa service center" in Colorado Springs, "Dr. Spa". I contacted Dr. Spa and reached an answering service of which directed me to leave a detailed message and then to send a text message as well.
After waiting almost a week, I had not received a return call or text message. I called again and this time Dr. Spa answered. I once again gave him all the pertinent information. Dr. Spa then told me that he didn't like working with Master Spas since they were very difficult to work with and get paid for regarding warranty work. I told him that this didn't involve warranty and that I would pay him myself. He then said that in that case, he'd be happy to come out, however, he'd have to call me back in a day or so to set up a time. He never called back. I called back again, went through the same procedures of answering machines, text msgs, etc. and still have not heard anything back. So much for having an "authorized master spa service center" for service support.
I then contacted another facility that Master Spas recommended as a "back up" (hmmm, did they know something?), Dino Spa Service. Same thing - several phone calls, several answering machines, and no return phone calls. So, I must recommend to anyone in the Colorado Springs area, or any area for that matter that doesn't have an actual Master Spas dealer for support - DON'T BUY ANY MASTER SPAS PRODUCTS - YOU WON'T GET ANY SERVICE SUPPORT! I am now going to pursue getting another hot tub for my mother from a local dealer here in Colorado Springs. I feel my 79 year old mom got "fleeced" by Master Spas.
Hi Mike. We're sorry to hear that your mom's hot tub had a leak. We're also sorry to hear that you've had issues getting ahold of a service center to fix the leak. Unfortunately, because those service centers are completely different companies from us, there isn't much we can do on that end. I also noticed that when they were showing me how to clean the filters in the spa, they didn't wash their hands and they got dirt all over the filters, and now I can't get that off. But they were pretty good. We're enjoying the spa very much. We're both in our 60s and we have our usual aches and pains of getting old, and it helps us relax and get the kinks out of the muscles. It's definitely doing the job.

I purchased a Twilight 7-2 spa at an event in my town. It was delivered on time with no problem. However, within 2 weeks things started going wrong. First an LED light went out, then the LED control button on the control panel stopped working so I can't use the lights. Then the Jets buttons on the control panel stopped working. I called the factory authorized repair person and he said that they are behind and everything is backordered. He has clients who are trying to keep their spas from freezing while the parts are delayed. Has people waiting since October for parts.
He said the control panels were switched to a touch pad design and they are sensitive to getting wet. Wow - did they even test it? You can't have a control panel next to the water without getting wet. When the cover is closed, the whole area fills with steam. So now I can't use the jets on the spa - so far it is still staying hot which is good. I worry that will stop working too and we live in an area that gets below freezing often in the winter. They are having another spa sale in my town this weekend. Why don't they use the parts to fix the spas they have already sold! I will attend this weekend to ask them how I can return it.
Hi Evelyn. We're sorry to hear that you're having issues with your spa. Unfortunately with the COVID pandemic there have been many part shortages as several of those manufacturers have had to shut down temporarily and haven't been able to produce those parts for us. As they start to reopen, I assure you that we are working hard to make sure everyone who needs a new part is able to get one.
As far as the touchscreen control panel, there is a potential your spa could've unfortunately been built with a faulty control panel but I assure you it's not because they're sensitive to water. We do test our products and would not have chosen that part if it couldn't be used near water.
We're very sorry to hear that your spa hasn't been working as expected. We hope to hear soon that your dealer and servicer have been able to make those repairs. Thank you for your honest feedback.

When I went in their showroom, I was looking at this Michael Phelps spa but the Twilight Series jets were more concentrated in the corners where we would be sitting more versus the Michael Phelps version. They sold us what was coming off the product line for Master Spas. I did take a brochure home with me and then when I got there, I saw there were these features you could add on that I would have gotten initially. So we did call back and add on.
We ordered the spa in July with the expected delivery date of October. There was a light package that you could add and a different filtration system. But if we would have gotten those additions, it would have pushed the delivery of the spa out until March of 2021. So once we found that out, we went with the one that we could get sooner. I asked them why they didn't upsell me and the rep told me that Master Spas is pretty much running a standard model with options off the floor just because of the demand. The Master Spas reps were very helpful and knowledgeable. It was a really good experience.
The spa has a great quality. We’ve had it since October and we've been using it a lot. The only kind of weird thing was they deliver the spa and then the electrician comes out, so you don't get to turn the spa on until after they leave. So they were telling us how to use it before there was water in it or we could do anything with it. I wish they would have demoed me after the electrician. But they're available. I call and the rep walks me through stuff. They've got videos in which they want you to leverage those too. I read the book and watched the videos. Then when I did go into the shop to get some new supplies, I asked them some questions and they showed me on a model in the shop how certain things work. So that helped out.

Master Spas is awesome and customer service has been the best part of the experience. I've had techs many times since I got my hot tub and they've been amazing. So helpful. I also had to bribe the installers to help me set up the cover. I have tools, but I had no idea how to set it up, so I asked them to help me. Eventually, they gave in and helped me. It's good. However, the information that I got on the chemical situation wasn't exactly correct. I went to another local hot tub place and they were like, “Oh, no. This is what you need to do.” Eventually, I got it balanced right. We love everything about the spa. It's something different to do in the winter. We have good family talks in there.

So far, this spa seems to be a good product. However, the company appears to be disreputable which should make people suspect about the product as well. I bought one at a showing at the Reno convention center. The salesman promised that his crew could get it where I needed it (on my deck) and to make sure I showed him numerous photos, including Google Earth and street view. He assured me that it was not a problem. However, the delivery team showed up and literally laughed out loud.
They did say I should contact the salesman and have him order up a larger delivery crew (I legally understood the extra personnel would be on my dime, even with the salesman's lies). So I contacted him immediately. He stated he would call the office the following day. I never heard another word, even though I also left a message with the company headquarters delivery POC. Zero. And the delivery crew left the damn thing on its side at a dangerous angle on my driveway (about 4 feet from the road). The company did muster the energy to respond lengthily to my dispute request with my credit card, but to this day have never attempted to contact me. So, buyer beware of the disreputable nature of this firm. I am still very disappointed. I pay $8000 and this was the result. Find a different company.
Hi Ronn. We're sorry to hear that you had a poor experience with the retailer you purchased our product from. Being only the manufacturer of your hot tub, there's unfortunately not much we can do when it comes to the delivery and installation provided by your retailer. With that being said, I did reach out to them to get more information about this situation. They did provide me with the delivery form which shows where you signed in acceptance of the delivery as it was on 10/4/20. They also sent me the spa placement form which clearly states that you would need to make access in order for them to properly deliver and install the spa, which you also signed in acknowledgement of on 9/25/20. I do want to apologize on their behalf for the issues you've had getting ahold of them. Again, as they're a completely separate company from us there's unfortunately not much we can do on that end. Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate it.

The delivery guys were great. They did a good job. When they first delivered, they had the cover for it, but they didn't have the mechanism to raise and lower it that comes with it. They came back with it a couple days later and got that done. The hot tub I got was for seven and I have a family of four, so it's a little bigger. Still, I like the size of it. Seven was the right size for four. The maintenance also seems to be very easy, which I like, and the jets are good. I wish there were a few more lights in it and in hindsight, I wish I had gotten some kind of sound system in it, but other than that, I love it.
I looked at a few other places beforehand, and the six-month waiting period because of COVID and everybody buying these things, they're all sold out everywhere. Given the situation we're all in, it's definitely a seller's environment. We bought our hot tub at a show. When we went, the show had only been open for two hours, and they had sold over 70% of the ones on the floor already. I wasn't intending to buy at that moment, but I realized if I wanted one and I wanted one soon, I had to buy it right away. We bought what was available from Master Spas. I would have spent a little more time and bought a hot tub with the sound system or something else had they had that available, but I still like the one I got. I also spent more than I wanted to, but I got it right away.

I live in Clever, Missouri and Phil at Doug's Pool and Spa has a reputation for being the best spa guy around. He follows up and does what he says. It just so happened he sold me the spa. I bought the Twilight Series and the quality is good although I had some of the lights go out in it. I called them and they sent a guy out. He didn't have the right tool to get in it to fix it and he said he would be right back. Two months later, I called them and they found the tool. Phil came back out and fixed it. I was a little bit disappointed that I bought this product and no one was fixing it but once everybody got with the program, they got it done. I would recommend Master Spas to anybody. I've even had a couple other people that asked me about it and they were wondering where they could get one. I said that there's only one place and that's Phil.

I ordered from Master Spas in April of one year and it was October of the next year before I finally got my spa. Other than that, everything went very smoothly. So far, everybody has been really good. In fact, they forgot to put in the little gripper things in my spa. We didn't notice it till after we had it filled up, and everybody was gone about a week later. So we called them and told them about it. I just thought it was a hot bathtub until I started getting older and started getting sore. The tub really helps and everything's been running perfectly. I also highly recommend it to anybody that mostly takes some ache and pains. Before, I was getting up every morning at 3:30 to 5:30 routinely, and I’m now sleeping until 6:30 to 7:30. Hi David. We're sorry to hear about this issue you've had with your spa.
Per page 32 of the owner's manual (linked below), the ozone system should be inspected every 12 months:
"The ozone hose and check valve connecting between the ozone generator and ozone injector should be inspected and/or replaced, if necessary, every 12 months. Depending on conditionsof the air which is being brought in to the ozone generator, the ozone hose and check valve
can wear more rapidly. This regular maintenance is not covered under the spa warranty. We recommend that your Master Spas Dealer or service organization be contacted to perform this type of maintenance."
Our Customer Service team here at Master Spas headquarters doesn't have any record of contact from you on file, but I'm sure they'd be happy to discuss this issue and how to resolve it with you. They can be emailed at customerservice@masterspas.com or called at (800) 860-7727. Thank you for your feedback!

We purchased a swimspa on July 4th and were told we would get a 4-5 week delivery. 2 months later we called logistics and they said sales was wrong that it was an 8-10 week delivery and maybe two more weeks because they had to change suppliers in China. On September 28th we got a call asking if we would accept a substitute color because they could have one on the truck in 2 weeks (we accepted). On November 10th, I called logistics and they said our swimspa was already in our state and just waiting to be delivered. I was told to expect a call in a day or so because they wanted to deliver everything before Thanksgiving.
Last week my wife was contacted and they said the spa should be on a truck to our state. The only info she could get is maybe delivered within 45 days because of all required to do inventory, check out the spa after put in a warehouse, and of course COVID. My wife was also told only one swimspa could go on a truck so that was a problem as well but the rep would not provide any specifics about where the spa was at or when it would be delivered. Just generalities to get her off the phone. Unfortunately, my wife understands that 4 swimspas or several hot tubs and one swimspa could go on a truck so the conversation was not well accepted. Finally, she was told that she would get her swimspa as it was delivered just like everyone else.
I am still confused about COVID because at each contact they knew what was going on that day and no one produces a $30,000 spa and doesn't know where it is at an any moment. What we have done at this point is to turn in a request to Costco Visa to get our down payment returned. Visa and other cards do take care of their customers when a seller does not deliver. The seller has 45 days to answer the dispute. We wish we had started the process back when the original delivery date was passed. Our mistake was not getting a guaranteed delivery date on the contract to deliver or return the funds and cancel the contract. The company has shown little regard for respect when it communicates with women and appears to keep moving the target 2 weeks at a time just to get you off the phone.
Hi Rand. I'm sorry for the delay. I'm glad you reached out to us. Unfortunately, we are feeling the same frustrations. The COVID-19 pandemic has created new challenges for the entire manufacturing industry. Mandatory shutdowns, supply shortages, and increased safety precautions have slowed production time. As a result, customers such as yourself have experienced a longer waiting time than originally quoted.
As far as the waiting period after delivery, there is unfortunately not much we can do in that situation. We are only the manufacturer of the product. If you need to schedule delivery, that needs to be taken up with the company you purchased the product from. They are a completely separate company from us and any issues with delivery would need to be taken up with them.

We've been in the market for a hot tub off and on for a couple years. But now that it's getting closer to retirement for my husband, he started to get serious about it. With the pandemic, we haven't been going to the gym. We went to half a dozen different stores around here and did a lot of research on the internet about the pros and cons of different spas. Master Spas have been around for quite a long time and the reviews in general, seemed to be in their favor. The dealer was two miles from our house, which was desirable, and they had a few floor models. We saw one on the floor that we liked. The parts and the warranties fit our bills and the price was good. They were expensive but I understand that it was the going rate. All those factors seemed to fit our requirements. So, we were happy.
We got the Twilight series and it fits perfectly. We have it in our garage. We've got a three-car garage and we live in a townhouse. We didn't want it outside but we didn't want it inside. So, this is the best of both worlds. I like the jets a lot and my favorite is the high-powered jet. It's been easier than we thought to figure out the chemistry aspect of it. And so far, we've only had the hot tub for about three weeks. We haven't had any problems yet but I was hoping that if we would have an issue, we would get some good help from our local person and they would work with us and help us to resolve it timely, and with very minimum charge, if anything.
We started looking this past summer and we pulled the trigger in August but we did not get the spa until November 20th. I understood about the pandemic and I was very understanding about the production but we had to wait three months to get the spa. So, that was a little disappointing. Also, we didn't get a quote deal for getting a floor model. But it's been a good experience with Master Spas. We’re new in the game here and I'm hopeful that the experience will continue and that they will be receptive to anything we have.

We liked some of the features of the hot tub and another thing that we took in consideration was that we were able to get it this year. Most of other places were back-ordered until May of next year. The reps came out and did a site inspection before the hot tub was delivered. The people who delivered it were very friendly. The rep was knowledgeable and explained all of the features, and how to use it.
We had a Dimension One hot tub for 25 years so this one from Master Spas was the newer model. We got a Clarity spa. It has more jets and it's got a waterfall and a lounger. It's your typical hot tub. But now, instead of a wood frame, it's got the composite, so it's easier to take care of. The quality of the hot tub was excellent and the cost seemed comparable to other places we looked. When you're stuck home with COVID, we're home most of the time, and so, we’re in the hot tub a lot.
We liked the chemicals that Master Spas used and the ease of getting the chemistry figured out and keeping it balanced. The last time, we used bromine and it was a hassle. I didn't like the smell. This time, it's much easier and you don't have that chemical smell when you get out. This is unique to Master Spas. It was a great company to deal with and they were very knowledgeable. I bought the 16-foot 5-foot deep because it fit in our area that we needed. It's a great addition to our backyard. When you're swimming and going against the current, you can have one or two pumps on. I like having the two seats in the back and the side vents for your back if you wanna stand up and have a massage. The service has been great so far. Their reps had to come out one time for the Wi-Fi connection and we had no problem there.
Everyone in the Oklahoma City Office has been nice to deal with. Some of the products that was recommended by the Master Spas team have been good to use. I watched the videos on how to use the rowing equipment and then, they suggested a full-face shield for our swimming against the current, which has helped. The filters are easy to change and maintain. The products are easy to get for chemicals. Plus, the spa is made in the USA.
We dropped our gym membership. Using the spa has less impact on the body but you still get the workout. You can use the rower. You can use the things that come with the unit for your legs and arms for the negative force on the water to where it creates more of an aerobic activity. We keep the spa at a constant 99 degrees in the winter and we can use it all year long. Master Spas have been very good to work with. It's been a pleasant experience. The spa has completely died no less than 5 times in under 3 years. Every time I change the water, it breaks and won't start back up until a technician comes out and replaces multiple components. It is now dead again, and we're waiting for it to be repaired. We are strongly considering legal action against the company, as our attorney thinks we have a slam dunk case. I purchased a Master Spa 11/19/2019. I chose their higher end spa because of the quality of the product and the information I review. In less than a year my spa has valves that are not working properly, and the acrylic has cracked. I have contacted them for service, and they have told me that it looks like the problems are possibly caused by chemical damage and thus they will not warranty the product.
What a simple way to say they will not cover something. How easy is it for them to claim you did not use proper chemicals? They could say this for everything and anything and never have to warranty a faulty product. This still does not explain the cracks in the acrylic. I have spoken to two repair companies and they have told me my color is almost impossible to match and I will always be able to see the repair. I purchased a $14,000 spa and it is less than a year old. I am not okay with a visual patch even if they do the best they can. The company is not willing to stand by their warranty. Do not purchase from them.
Hi Jon. As we've told you before, the issues with your spa were not covered by warranty because they were caused by both the excessive amount of chemicals that had been used in the water as well as the consistent exposure to the sun as you told your service tech that you had left it uncovered during the summer. Our warranty clearly states under the "limitations" section that we will not cover any damage caused by improper water chemistry or maintenance. (https://www.masterspas.com/documents/_warranties/legend/2019-legend-series-limited-warranty.pdf)
Page 26 of your owner's manual clearly states:"Always use an approved insulating spa cover by Master Spas to cover your spa when not in use, especially in outdoor installations where the spa is exposed to weather conditions and sun. Constant, prolonged exposure and use of unapproved or non-insulating spa cover can result in damage to spa surface which would not be warranted." (https://www.masterspas.com/documents/_manuals/legend/2019-legend-series-owners-manual.pdf)
As far as the water chemistry, the service tech that had come to look at your spa also communicated with our customer service team here at corporate that your chemical levels were way too high and even sent us a picture of your floater with far too many bromine tabs in it. Damage caused by improper water chemistry is not covered by warranty.
We are always more than happy to cover any issues if they are issues caused during the manufacturing process. However, the issues with your spa are clearly related to poor water chemistry and spa maintenance and thus not covered. I've included some links below that you may find helpful regarding chemicals and spa care.

We purchased a 15-seater tub from Master Spas. It’s 8 foot wide and 15 foot long, with 46 rings on it. So we’re very happy with it. We went down to the expo and this was their fifth year at our convention center. We caught them on the last day and my wife fell in love with it. She has enjoyed it much more than I have. We ended up paying about $22,000 but it was retailing for around 30,000. The distributor is Florida-based and we've got to give them a call. Hopefully, he's got somebody close by. We experienced Hurricane Zeta and it tore the wrap off. It is useless because it’s been compromised on the strapping part of it. The straps are all fabric and it’s a zip type thing. It needs to be replaced.
We did not get any forecast of this 110 mile an hour wind. There’s a fellow across the street, next block over from us, who has a wind gauge and he said that he had multiple hits of 110 miles an hour. We had some trouble but it’s not the spa’s fault. I had even purchased for that occasion. I bought a special tarp and had it set up where I could just put rubber straps all the way around the whole thing. These things are about two inches wide and about half inch thick but I didn't dare go outside because I had a 110 mile an hour pieces of roofing coming at me. My wife was thinking that it would rip it off but I didn’t think it would have.
Everything went well. The delivery, the sale and the spa were great. The only problem I have with that spa is that for females, it’s hard to get the cover opened. The only way is to buy a more expensive one for it, which is electric. They could have offered it but I might be able to buy something where I can hook it because there are two pieces of covering. It got metal bars on the back side of each side that are framed with it, and they move with it. I can connect it to the bars and have a strap, and she might be able to pull it a lot easier. I’ll think of something and maybe Master Spas can come up with an idea where you could put it on there and hold it. And when you take it up, you’re gonna have to release it or something will put it down quite easily.

I had done my research and most of the reviews and most of the information I have found was saying to go through Master Spas versus somebody else. The Master Spas team was fine. We purchased a Master Spas 19 D Trainer. The size is what we needed with our family and the use that we were gonna use for. The biggest thing was the fact that you could have the dual temperature controls. You could have the hot tub and the swim spa area.
We did have a few issues with the dealer that we purchased it through promising timeframes then not delivering within those timeframes. That became a little bit of a headache. But other than that, once we got that all resolved, everything seemed to work out. The quality of the hot tub and the swim spa is really good. You get what you pay for. All the features work. It wasn't like I had to have someone come out and service or make sure. As I fill it up, it is ready to go as long as I follow the directions. It's fairly easy to use. Even my kids who are seven and nine years old can operate it pretty well.

Master Spas' products look the best. We liked how they looked very durable and stable to be out in the elements during winter. We purchased a swim spa and a sauna from them. The sales and installation team were great. We had some problems though after we worked with them. They kept saying they would deliver my sauna on a Friday and when I called their salesman the Monday after, he was on vacation. I left messages as nobody was at our place to help set it up. We couldn't leave it outside either as it was a wood thing so we hauled it inside our place and ended up putting it together.
We got our swim spa the day Indiana shut down with COVID and Master Spas would have gotten really swamped right after that. Their salesman said that he would be out at our location after the swim spa and the sauna got set up to give us a few pointers and help us a little. That never happened. Instead, they drop-shipped my huge three-person sauna and it was a puzzle to put together. He called though and I said that we have things figured out on our own. It was very hard to find somebody at Master Spas to ask questions to because they didn't respond to phone calls. The salesman felt bad that nobody came out so he gave us some filters and chemicals to appease us which was nice of him.
Their electrician tried to put in the electrical but then it didn't work. We had to get our own electrician. We called Master Spas and they didn't get back to us very fast. When they did, they said that the paper at the back is not correct and they explained to the electrician how to wire the swim spa and sauna up. The electrician then fixed things and got them going. Still, Master Spas needs a customer service department to answer questions for people. I have a friend who bought a hot tub and she has been having a terrible time. She has called Master Spas three times but they didn't call her back.
Hi Martha. We're sorry to hear that you've been having issues getting ahold of people who can help you and that there were delays in getting your spa's electricity hooked up. Master Spas was having like an expo where they had the different units out and they were talking about how the units worked. I really liked the guy that I was talking to and I liked the spa. We were waffling between the 8-foot or the 11-foot. I need the spa because I've had a double hip replacement and I need to do warm water therapy.
There was a promotion and the guy told me that he could get me a really good deal on the 2019. So, I went out there and talked to the guy. I had initially decided I was gonna go with an 11-foot. Then I kept looking at the book and I decided that the 8-foot had more seating. It was still a swim spa but it would be better to have more seats. As we got to talk about it, the guy said that he could do a really good deal with our 2020 and I wouldn't have to take a 2019. The order took a little longer but I wasn't ready for it anyway. I like everything about the spa. I can turn the heat off and cool it down for summer times so that it's cooler. Then, in the fall and the winter, I can turn the heat on and that's very nice. I like the jets. It does a really good job. It's not just the hydrotherapy for me. It's a good hot tub, too.
The spa's hydraulic lids are not as easy to use. When they said hydraulic to me, I thought they meant automatic hydraulic where you'd push a button. But that's not what it is. It's on a mechanism and you have to flip the things back, and then you lift it up, and then pulling it down is really harder than lifting it up. I also have to step on a step stool. It requires some physical strength and height that I don't have. So, I'm limited to my ability to use it as often as I would like to. I can't really get in the spa if my husband is not home, mainly because he won't allow it because it is more of a strenuous exercise than I thought it would be. I also wasn't impressed with the stairs at all. They're plastic. We had to build something up to it to put the stairs on.
Once you have had an injury as I've had, there's no therapy that touches the deep water, warm water therapy. These Master Spas are swim spas but they're also perfect for deep water, warm water therapy. And unless you can find a YMCA or a person who does this at their home, there's no other option. So Master Spas is the go-to for anybody and you can get this pretty hot too. You could do a small hot tub area if you did an inground pool, but Master Spas is better than that and has a better price.

The Y2 swim spa model worked out pretty good. I went with it for the features that it came with the and that particular size was the right size for the space that I had. I like the multiple seats, the different jets, adjustabilities and the light features. It came with a little bit more of a show than just your plain Jacuzzi style spa. When I spoke to the sales team, they were very good at explaining to me all of what it could do, with all the warranties, and all the benefits to it. It was a little bit more solid product. They were able to show me everything in the showroom how it was built and how it was done. So it was not something that they just threw in together.
The installation crew was very knowledgeable and kind. They were able to answer all my questions and give tips and tricks and keeping the spa clean and sanitized. They went over the use and the manual and the instruction. So far, everything is great. The only gripe that I have is the foam padding on the steps has become unglued in certain areas about a month after the installation and we actually started using it. Other than that, the spa is relaxing. My family wants to come over and use it all the time and my kids definitely enjoy it. The cost is really good. I got a pretty decent deal with the features when I started comparing what I purchased versus what was out on the market and the same sizes. I'd tell my friends that the benefits and the quality of Master Spa would be absolutely worth it.

The Trainer 19 from Master Spas was one that I could actually physically see at a show. We went with it for pretty much the convenience. It also had pretty good reviews from what we read. The dealer dropped the spa off but the instructions sucked. We were left to figure it out on our own. We got it figured out now, but it took a little bit of trial and error. Other than that, the spa is great and we love it. It's awesome. It's great for the family and we're really enjoying it.

The Twilight Series 7.2 has the six-seater, a whole lot of jets, the twin pumps, and a lounger. One of the defining factors for me is a lounger. I got the tub for therapeutic reasons following back surgery. So far, I'm okay with it. I was just having a difficult time getting the water adjusted right and I would get a lot of messages when trying to deal with getting chemicals right in there. A couple of times the jet covers have popped out on their own but I could put them back in. But I hope all that will end.
I called the Master Spas customer service team several times early on because the tub always seemed to run and I couldn't turn it off. The rep walked me through a couple of things and it seemed to work temporarily but it started again. Then one of the diverters is having a problem. It needs to be checked out by a professional but I'm not interested in paying for a house call of $50 or $75 since the darn thing is just brand-new. So, right now, I'm still just gonna figure it out myself by the book. But if it persists, I may go on and pay the service call to see if it's something that needs to be addressed.

We thought the quality of Master Spas was pretty good and we really liked the dealership where we bought our Twilight Edition 8-foot spa. We like the lounger that was built in with it and the number of jets as well. Compared to the hot tub we had before, the quality of the one we have now is a little bit better than what they were years ago. We have enjoyed the spa and the benefits that we are receiving from it. Master Spas is a great value and they have a great dealership to deal with if purchasing locally here in Terre Haute. Their team was absolutely wonderful. Everything the dealer said they were going to do, they did and we were pleased.

Master Spas is one of the top ones. It has really good online reviews. We had a hot tub before and wanted a new one. We had moved to a different house that did not have a hot tub, and so we wanted one. We got the Twilight 8.2. I'm above average size, and I didn't fit that well in all the other hot tubs that I've seen. The Twilight 8.2 fits me better. We had Hot Spring hot tub in the past. The Twilight is much nicer. We bought ours used and we had a larger budget this time. So we wanted one with a little more features this time. We were happy with our one in the past, but we're very happy with the one that we purchased now.
The installation team was fantastic and the service team was really fantastic. Another reason why we chose Master Spas was the Master Spas in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The dealer really had a great salesman. He was able to answer our questions and helped us think about other things that we should be looking for in a hot tub. Then the person who helped us with all the paperwork gave us information for our electrician and talked about different things that we should think about maybe buying in the future or not really thinking about either adding to our hot tub or not based on cost. It was a really nice experience.
Since using the Master Spas, I'm much more relaxed. We are really enjoying the hydrotherapy. Both my wife and I have some arthritis. So that really helped with our achy joints and to our stressful jobs, releasing some stress at night. Our hot tub has very high quality. I would put it against any other of the hot tubs on the market. I really love the product and the customer service that we got at the dealer. We visited probably six other dealers in the Grand Rapids area and the service that we got from Master Spas went well. I would highly recommend the one that we got, but also the dealer that we went to.
We're so happy to hear this, Tim! We love hearing about the positive experiences our customers have had, not only with our product but with their dealer as well. Thank you for sharing!

This review is not about the hot tub (Since I have not received it yet). This review is about the scheduled delivery that did not take place. I received a phone call from the delivery driver informing me that the hot tub had arrived in a warehouse in Beaverton and needed to schedule the delivery. We agreed on Friday of next week (Oct. 2nd 2020 @9am). I asked for that day off of work (which was granted) so that I could be home for the delivery. I had to move out an RV trailer to make easy access to my backyard. Friday came and no delivery.
After 11pm I started calling to find out. Got no answer from the delivery drivers number and Master spa's kept giving me the runaround. After several phone calls and e-mails, I finally received a text from the delivery driver (on Thursday Oct.8th 2020) stating that he was still in Seattle making deliveries and he would contact me Monday or Tuesday of next week to schedule the delivery. "7 Days after the supposed delivery I get some kind of information" This is unacceptable. I understand that things happen, But the lack of communication is ridiculous. It's not easy for me to take time off from work. let alone lost wages for the day. All they had to do was call and say that they will be a delay or rescheduling. But to ignore a customer is bad business. I feel like I am being scammed.
Hi Tony. We're sorry to hear about this. As we are only the manufacturer of your spa and not the company responsible for delivering it, there's not much we can do in this situation. Our products are sold through independent retailers and thus any issues with delivery and/or installation would need to be taken up with them. Again, we're sorry to hear that you had a poor experience and we hope that you're able to enjoy your new spa soon.

We had a pool last year and we liked it but my husband was more interested in a hot tub. We got the 8-foot by 9-foot Balance 9. We got this big enough that the little grandkids can enjoy it as a pool when they’re here as opposed to having a separate pool too. Once we said we wanted it delivered, we got it. We were delayed in getting our deck built quite a bit, but it was two weeks after when we called them and said that we were ready. It was fine, considering we had been two months delayed. The different seat settings where you get jets in different places is probably one of the biggest things that we like. We get some up high in the neck and low in the back.
When we bought the tub and when we had to do some documentation for prescription for the tax free, we dealt with the team at Master Spas and it was excellent. Two guys brought out the tub and one of them went through the weekly stuff. He went a little bit too fast though. So maybe whoever's installing it should take their time and walk through it because when they deliver it, you don't even have any water in it yet. They leave as soon as it's dropped.
We didn't have electricity hooked up yet so maybe somebody can come back. That might not be realistic with as big as Texas is. They cover a big area but there were some questions and one thing that came up was about filling it. We had a water softener and we have a hose that bypassed the water softener. It was in the book but if I hadn't asked that question, we would have already started filling it with water softener water. And it says not to use more than 50%. So, some of the things on the setup, they were kind of disconcerting.

We did a handful of research and the Twilight Series came recommended. We liked the sleek look of it and it had good reviews. Also, it had the three-year warranty as opposed to the lower-end price ranges which were only a year. When we purchased it, we worked with the guy we bought it from and he was helpful. We bought it during COVID and he was sent out to Minnesota from Arizona to help out. So, he was informative and with him leaving, it created the urgency on our end to make the deal with him too. But we got a good price compared to looking up and looking into other places as well. We've had the hot tub since end of March and we use it at least 5 to 10 times a month. It's user-friendly once you know what you're doing with it and it's decent.
Thanks, Tara! We're so happy to hear that you're enjoying your spa.

I was looking for something more on the hydrotherapeutic side of things. Something that had power and was quality. When you're gonna spend the amount that you spend, you wanna be very content with it. I did my research online and I heard a lot of great things about Master Spas and Artesian's. I looked for Artesian's but I couldn't find any. Then, I decided to drive three hours up north. I went and tested Master Spas and I could tell the difference. Had I not stepped inside a crappier one, I probably would've never realized. I wet tested two out, not knowing what the cost of the one I bought was the Master Spa. I figured they were gonna be comparable in terms of price but it was more marketing behind those products versus the actual experience.
The representatives answered all my questions and they were very helpful. They helped me understand what I was stepping into as it was a first-time purchase. So, I was very pleased. I went up, tested it out, had conversation and I bought it on the spot. That was how well it went. I was motivated too, so it helped, but he did his job very well. He was a very good salesperson. I got a TS 8.25 from Master Spas. The quality seems top-notch. It's probably the best that you can get.
The hot tub was like an investment in family but also an investment in wellness. Both my wife and I exercise quite a bit. We're trying to stay active and healthy. I played basketball last night and my body was hurting. So being able to jump into that right after basketball, it's just wonderful. So, it's impacted my life immensely from the sake of having that retreat and being able to utilize it in a fashion that helps me with my active lifestyle. I got four kids under four. They think they can swim in it and I'm still trying to teach them how to keep the water in the hot tub, but it's an overall extremely good time. It’s something that the kids look forward to, the nights when we do go in the hot tub, and then more so even when we have friends over. It's a good time. Life was cool before but with it, it is now great.
Wow! Thanks for this feedback, Christopher! We're so thrilled to hear that you and your family are enjoying your TS 8.25.

The Twilight model from Master Spas is a wonderful product. I've had very high standards 'cause I've had the best spas on the market and Master Spas is certainly consistent with that. It's a multi-person spa. I use it almost every morning for about an hour. I keep the jets on for about 10 minutes and then soak for an hour and it always performs flawlessly. So for me, it's a special time. I am able to enjoy climbing into a hot tub that's just the perfect temperature and always clean, even on a morning where it's brisk outside. I only let it get a little bit cloudy one time when I wasn't paying attention to the chemicals, and then I just added the chlorine and 24 hours later, it was crystal clear again.
The delivery went surprisingly well. COVID was just starting to take shape and the crew that delivered it was amazing. They did a fantastic job. The hookup was very simple, other than trying to get an electrician out here to do it because of COVID. But after making several calls, I found somebody who was able to come out and do it and it was relatively simple. The setup was very straightforward setup. I'm very happy that I've made the purchase. Anytime you guys come to town, I'd be happy to go and talk to your customers. It's a great product. I'm impressed with everything in it.

Buyer Beware! The traveling sales team is very shifty. They made promises that weren't kept, provided improper contracts and used all the techniques a bad used car salesman would use; our mistake was getting wrapped up in an emotional purchase. Our one-star rating is primarily based on the sales experience.
1.) Do not let them scribble numbers on a note pad, if you do, write your own and keep track of everything they say the numbers are for and take a picture of their "notes".
2.) Do not let them leave the table once settled on a price. For us, things were scratched off the contract that we missed at signing and additional tax was added on. $79 document fee is silly; you are paying your salesman to enter the information into a form.
3.) Do not let them convince you that things that come standard on the spa anyway, are add-ons, i.e. LED lights, exercise equipment, special filtration systems.
4.) Stay firm on your expectation for delivery; we received ours in the 4-6 timeframe, but we did some pushing to get that.
5.) Make them give you the name and number of the local company that does service work for them that is in your zip code. Our hot tub lights weren't working after we hooked up electricity and though Master Spas service guys on the phone were friendly and helpful, I struggled to figure out how to fix the issue. They gave me a name of a company that does do warranty work for Master Spas but once we reached them, found out we were out of their service area. I ended up fixing the problem myself but it took several tries to find the missing connection.
6.) Do not bother with the exercise equipment that comes with the unit. It is cheap and cumbersome and hardly useful. There are better after-market products out there. (Personally, I think Master Spa should include the tools to clean the spa. We've had to purchase a skimmer net for leaves, a suction device to get dirt and debris off the bottom, extra set of filters so one can be cleaned and dried and the other set in the unit.)
7.) The swim spa and tub have been nice. We enjoy them both, but I'm now worried reading the 1-star service problem reviews below. We've had them a month, have never owned a hot tub or spa before so there is lots to learn and be aware of going wrong.
8.) Our first choice swim spa was Original Endless Pool. It is quite a bit more expensive and there was much to do to have it built, insulated, etc. but it is a much better swim experience overall. We tested 5 different brands and the H2X Challenger 15D does have a good pump system creating the current without air, but one of us is nearly out-swimming it already and has to be tethered in. Given the decision over, we'd probably would have waited/saved up for the Endless Pool.
Hi Francie. Firstly, I'd like to thank you for the honest feedback. We always make sure to take feedback like yours into consideration as we continuously work to improve. I'm sorry that you didn't have the best experience with your salesperson, but unfortunately as we are only the manufacturer of the product and not the company that sold it to you there's not much that we can do on that end. Our products are sold through a network of independent retailers, so any issues with their sales practices would need to be taken up with the company that sold you the swim spa.
We're sorry to hear that you're disappointed with the provided exercise equipment. Here's a link to multiple exercise programs created by Dr. Rick McAvoy, who has specialized in Aquatic Fitness and Sports Performance for over 25 years, using the provided exercise equipment. You may find these programs helpful in finding new and effective ways to use the exercise equipment. (https://michaelphelpsswimspa.com/swim-spa-exercise)
I understand your worry in reading other negative reviews. Reading about issues that other customers have had, especially with such a large purchase, can be daunting. With that being said, we're also very proud of the fact that our 5 star reviews far out-number our 1 star reviews. Here on ConsumerAffairs, we have 93 reviews that give us 1 star rating - and while we wish that number was lower, we're also proud of the fact that we have over 400 reviews that are 5 stars. If you're looking for the negative, you can find it - but it's even easier to find countless happy customers who have had great experiences with their Master Spas products.
Lastly, we'd like to hear more about your experience swimming in the swim spa. It's not too often that someone is able to out-swim the current so easily that they need to be tethered in. When we do see this happen, it's often because people are swimming too close to the front of the spa or are accidentally diverting some of the water away from them without realizing it. I would recommend reaching out to Ben Gilliam. (You might know of him if you've ever tuned into our livestreams on Facebook). He'd be happy to talk to you about your current swim speed and abilities and how to get the best use out of your swim spa. You can email him at beng@masterspas.com.
Thank you again for your honest feedback. We appreciate it.

I bought the Twilight 8.2 based on reviews and hot tub university review. So far I'm not pleased. Topside panel went out after two weeks. Now the heater is bad and trips the breaker. I haven't even made the first payment yet. My local authorized repair guy is great. Hot tub not so great. Think I got a lemon.

Very disappointed with this tub. It's broke down 3 times in 3 years. Had service come out when the recirt. pump went out. The service guy couldn't figure it out and I had to pay an electrician to come out and look at it. Finally after 2 weeks got it going. The 2nd recirt. pump went out a year later, not under warranty. Expensive. Now 3 years the heater went out. Waiting for part. I don't know if I have a lemon, but have friends that own different brands of tubs for years and not had the issues I've had. I think Master Spas should source out better electrical parts. The upside is that are easy to work on if you're handy. If the mainboard goes out, I'm getting rid of this lemon.

We were skeptical about ordering a Master Spa after reading online reviews, but it was one of the only spas in our area. After getting incorrect information about pricing (salesperson told us the price was more when it wasn't) we finally settled on a price and placed an order. The spa arrived filthy, dirty, without any protective material around the spa. The inside of the spa was washed out with our hose by the delivery guys. They left and we opened up the jets and they are full of dirt and gravel. The filters are moldy. The customer service person at the dealer told us it was normal and we should just fill and start the spa. My husband called back and now cannot get anyone to talk to him. A professional cleaning by a third party is over $300. I called Caldera spas on the recommendation of a friend and they said their spas arrive clean and are set up and tested on site as part of the delivery. I wish we had ordered another brand.

We purchased our hot tub at a home show and were misled from beginning to end. The sales guy acted as if they had a service center in our area and they DO NOT. They have one service guy for all of Utah and he's extremely slow to respond. You're basically at his mercy. Our tub has been out of commission twice in a just one year of owning it. We had the control panel replaced after it filled with water. It ran for about 10 months after that without problems and we loved it.
Just recently though, it stopped working for no apparent reason. It has power and there are no issues on our end, which the repair guy automatically assumed right upfront. It has now been sitting for two weeks while we wait for parts to basically rebuild it. We were planning to move the hot tub with us when we sell but we're now going to leave it with the home, it's just not worth the trouble. If you're currently in the market for a hot tub, shop around and make sure you have a local dealer and repair/maintenance support.

We went to a home show and decided to use Master Spas over other brands for the features. The hot tub we got just has the jets and we purchased it from a rep from the company. That interaction was good. We had an existing hot tub that had to be removed so it took a few extra days to get them over to take that one out and then put the new one in. But it was fine and so far, the tub's quality is good.

Number one was getting them to answer the telephone when I called and number two was getting an appointment scheduled and actually having them come out. Our appointment kept getting canceled. Apparently, they have one service technician and he happened to be sick for a week. But since our Healthy Living tub is up and running now, we’re happy with it. It has good quality. I chose the model for its design.

We purchased Master Spas' Twilight spa because of the size and the price. The price and the discount that was offered were pretty good and we decided to go for it. Afterward, we thought we should have investigated so before it got delivered, we went online and looked at the reviews and found nothing but good ones about it. The tub has really powerful jets and magnetic therapy. Also, it’s got the filtration system that kind of neutralizes the chlorine so there’s no smell in the water. There’s no residue. It’s got a fair amount of adjustability with the jets and they’re not either all on or all off. We can change which ones we want on and how strong they are. And I love that it has a 15-minute timer on it.
After using it one time, we were getting error codes on the display and had no idea what was wrong with it. So, we had to call the company we bought it from and wait four days for somebody to come out and fix it, which was a problem because the temperature had dropped. It was like 0 degrees and we had just had it filled, so we didn’t want it to freeze. There was a faulty pump that he was able to replace on the spot. So, we did receive a tub that had some problems with it just right out the gate. But other than that, we have not had any issues.
We called Master Spas when we needed to have something replaced and the fellow that called me back was great. He got back to me right away with an email, called me, and the part was delivered. Also, he alerted me that we hadn’t put our tub under warranty yet, which the seller didn’t tell us we needed to do. So, that was very helpful. Everything went really well, so we’re really happy with our interactions with Master Spas.

It was advertised on TV that Master Spas was having a show so we went there and we liked their quality. We didn’t have a lot of space and we needed something small. We purchased the Twilight and it’s one of those triangle-shaped ones so it fits right in our area. The salesperson was really good and the delivery and setup people were wonderful. I emailed a few times to the manager about different things, setting up like getting it installed and they had to loan us a tub for it until ours came in. Then, as soon as it came, they brought it right out. The delivery person was very helpful. He discussed pool maintenance and how to take care of it since we were first-time spa owners. He gave us a lot of good tips that way.
The tub is just perfect for three people max, we didn't want a party tub. Also, it has more pumps and it has lighting and a waterfall. And it has a lounging seat where we can lay down and a seat where we get work on our shoulder from the water and that kind of thing. We're pleased with the hot tub so far and I’d direct others to check Master Spas out.

The installers did a great job too. They were very careful and didn’t do any damage to anything when they put it in. It was a 2017 model and it didn’t work right, so the company brought out a totally new system. They're a very nice company. The installers were very professional. Most of the Master Spas parts are made and assembled in America and they have the best reviews. As far as installation, they just came and dropped the Healthy Living tub and we hooked the electricity up. The Wi-Fi module that came with it and we paid for was non-functional. The app that runs it is horrible. I took it out myself and took it back to the dealer, and they gave me a credit for it. Other than that, so far, so good. I’m a 6’4” guy and Master Spas fits me. This is my third hot tub. With this one, you hear more noise through the jet knobs than what I’m used to. We were told during the sale that there were local companies that would do warranty work and once an issue arose, we discovered that there are none even close to us. In order to have the company repair our hot tub, we have to pay for half of the travel. This is absolutely unacceptable considering this hot tub has been barely used! Not only are we having an issue with this, but the sales person was awful. He made us feel so pressured during the sale and I felt sick to my stomach after we left. We have made a lot of financial sacrifices in order to have this hot tub and we haven't even been able to use it. I am absolutely disgusted with this business.

I found Master Spas at The Big E when I happened to be walking around and checking all the different hot tub tents. I do sales for a living and I sell roofing, siding, and windows. Master Spa uses the same finance company that I use for work. The other spa places also used the same thing, but a lot of the sales guys didn't know what they were talking about. One guy was like drunk talking to me and he said, "Yeah, you can tell me about financing." So I told him, "I'm not gonna go with you because you don't know what you're talking about." Then, I went to Master Spa and bought from them because of their sales guy. We had to walk in and the guy was really cool. He even had the same name as me. The way he did his sales was like me too. I had to buy it from him 'cause he was the one that sold the whole thing, knew what he was talking about about everything, and was really laid-back.
I like that the spa has the lights on it and I like the eco filter, the way that I could change out all the jets. The sales guy went through a whole bunch of stuff showing us all the different stuff about it and I liked everything that he showed me. It was different than some of the other stuff I seen, and it is the perfect size 'cause I needed a certain size which they had. So, because they had exactly what I was looking for and the guy knew exactly what he was talking about, the whole experience was made 10 times easier.
The guys who did the delivery were awesome. They had to take out my old hot tub and it was a pain as the thing is heavy. They had to come over around the back and had to do a lot of work. I was surprised. I told them, "I hope you guys are getting paid a lot of money," 'cause they were tired. I haven't had a bad thing happen yet except for one of the fuses was blown in the hot tub when I got it. I had to drive around and find another fuse to put in there. My brother-in-law is an electrician, so he knew what he was doing. He just told me what to get, I grabbed it, and he put it in. So, the whole experience was good. They also have a video for every process with the hot tub too that I can just look up online, so it's simple.

Purchased hot tub in 2015. Just recently noticed small service cracks in the shell. These cracks are a long the top lip that doesn't have direct contact with water. Rest of the spa shell is fine. This makes me believe that heat caused this cracks. I called dealer that I bought hot tube through and they informed that Master Spa will not consider warranty unless 1. show proof that I used their chemicals in spa. 2. That I show proof that I had monthly water checks done by dealer. Nothing in their warranty states either of this things. I used Leisure time chemicals and have proof of that. As far as water checks. I checked water twice a week and followed all instructions needed to fix any irregular water issues. If I can't get Master Spa to cover this I'm out almost $10,000 dollars. Beware buyer.

There was a warehouse sale that happened in the market. I had done research on Master Spas previously, so I went to the showroom. The salespeople were extraordinarily knowledgeable about every single unit. They answered any questions that I had. They talked specifically a lot about the warranty and the maintenance on the unit itself. I also used one of their financing programs which was a real breeze. The whole experience was wonderful. I spoke with the sales rep for about an hour. Delivery date was set and then they called me because they were able to deliver earlier which was even more enticing and more fun for me.
I go a Twilight 7.2. One of the features that I really like is it has a digital touchscreen control panel. It also has service reminders, maintenance reminders, and remote access from a smartphone. It tells me when to change water, when to add chemicals, and when to clean the filters. I've been very happy, but I'll get a bigger model next time. But being a first-time hot tub owner, I thought that the six-person unit that I got would be sufficient. It's very efficient to run. The maintenance is virtually minimal. I was impressed with the level of therapeutic spas that Master Spas had available. And the ones that we had been looking at had some things to it, but Master Spas combined everything with the jets and the way they were assembled and the quality that they had in it. My Master Spas worked great, and I'm more impressed now that I've used it than what it was. I have a lower back problem. I was in law enforcement and was shot and I have a low back disc problem. And the therapeutic part of it helps a lot. It’s really a lifesaver. It’s awesome when it comes to the therapy part. The sit-down seat and the lounger both work really well. In addition to that, I've had other spas many years ago, and they were always a little bit to the upkeep. And my Master Spas has some features on it like the ozone and this other part that’s on that, and it really has made the chemical treatment super easy. The maintenance is really a breeze.
Making the purchase was excellent. We ended up going to a show in our local area in Huntsville, Alabama. And at that show, I was thinking there was going to be multiple spas there, so we were just gonna kinda walk through to compare. I was about 90% sure I was gonna go with a local vendor on a different manufacturer, and I’d looked at it pretty thoroughly. But once I got there, there weren’t numerous spas, but this Master Spas was there. And the person gave me the whole rundown on what it was, and she was very thorough with the explanation. Her interview worked really good, too, because she asked what our needs were. So, she wasn’t just trying to plug in something she wanted. She found out what the most important features were for us. Her knowledge was really impeccable.
The installation went very well. As a matter of fact, we got there from the last day which afforded us two things. Number one, I didn’t expect to get the delivery that day. I figured they’d do another day or two, or even the following week. And to my surprise, they scheduled me in that day. It was a few hours outside of the purchase. Unfortunately, they were backed up and they didn’t make that time, which I'm not surprised because they had sold so many of the spas. But the delivery people had called me and gave me a heads-up early on that they would make the delivery that night, and they gave me the option whether I wanted them to just come out the next day. And I said, “Well, if you guys can do it this night, that’d be fine.” They did meet me back at house, and sure enough, they delivered it that evening.
I would highly recommend Master Spas. We had a follow-up after the spa was delivered. The spa is everything we thought and then some. But then one of the jets on the lounger wasn’t functioning. And I did everything I could to make sure that I wasn’t messing something up or why one of the jets wasn’t working. I made a single phone call, and the following day, they were coming out.
Unfortunately, we were out of town and they called and asked, “Hey, can they come and look at this.” I said, “Well, sure. It’s in the backyard. Just feel free to go back there, and no problem.” They showed up even though it was an inclement weather. The problem turned out to be a kinked hose. They repaired it that day, and they followed up with a phone call to me while we were out of town and asked if there was anything else they could do. They even called back twice to make sure everything was functioning after we returned to get in there. So, the warranty thing was top of the line. I'm very comfortable with dealing with the local company directly.

We went to one of those expo fair sales, and compared to the others we were looking at, Master Spas' price was reasonable. We also researched online and it turned out that it’s a good quality company with a good quality product. So we opted to go that route. We had a little smaller tub before, and the tub from Master Spas was a much better size. Everything was designed underneath, so it seems to be much better insulated compared to the one I had. I also like the quality of the tub itself, and the layers that they use for durability. The jet features are quite good and more therapeutic than the other spa. But the spa jets are designed for a little bit larger people. My wife is 5’1” and 105, and the jets tend to miss her because of that. That’s the only issue I have with the tub. But my wife is learning to accommodate it.
When I was making the purchase, it sounded a little like going to a car dealership. You get one guy out that comes out with a price and then he comes back with a price that’s almost half. And then, he has his guy come out and give you a little more of a discount. So I felt like I was dealing with a car dealership. But other than that, it went okay. We then wrote a check. It was pretty straightforward. Sometimes with these events they’ll do a no-interest for a period of time, and I thought that I had seen that and I inquired about that. They said no and that it had to be cash or credit card. I don’t know if there was a little misinformation, but it worked out fine.
The installation was quite smooth. The only thing that was a little of a surprise to me was when they delivered, they didn’t set up the stairs that came with the tub. They left the packaging for the hot tub cover and all the plastic wrap. This tub was fully-wrapped and sealed, and they left all of that because they couldn’t take it. And that was pretty bulky stuff. It’s not stuff you can throw in your recycling and your garbage very easily. Also, when they tipped it, they scraped one corner. So I ended up having to order another piece which I had to install myself. I got a little bit of a runaround on that. The lights worked when we hooked up the tub, but then they quit working. Apparently, they weren’t connected properly, so I ended up fixing that as well. So there were a couple of little quirks right from the beginning. But from that point forward, the tub has been perfect.

My Master Spa tub has been great, except for me trying to keep the water balanced. It got cloudy on me. It's hard to read the pH strips. I searched it and it's like, "Oh, your pH is probably a little high," so I'd lower it, and clean my filter and put some clarifier in it. I shocked it again and it was still cloudy. So then the guys that put it in for me said it's easier to have a sump pump instead of taking the side panel off to drain it. So I bought a sump pump, and pumped it all out and started over. It's crystal clear for like a week.

We got a hot tub from Master Spas. They are very professional, and we already had one from them previously. We, however, already broke a knob, so that is a little concerning on our part. Nevertheless, its cost and its quality are both fair.

Master Spas had a big event and the salesman was very knowledgeable about his product and we had a nice conversation. We liked the way the tub we got looked. It was the size we wanted and has good features, like the waterfalls. The quality is also great. We had one problem and those doing the repair were almost 80 miles from us. But they came right out and fixed it at no charge. They had really good service.

I like the tub's seating capacity and the price. It took less than three weeks to put it in. I use it mostly for post-workout. I worked for the vendor when I was in high school and college. I enjoyed working there for four years, and the people are still lovely.

We wanted a smaller tub and we got one from Master Spas. It had the two pumps, and it had the most jets. One problem we had with an older spa was that it would wake us up in the middle of the night when it started cycling water. But this tub had the three-amp circulating motor which keeps the heat going very quietly. It was definitely an economical purchase compared to some of the other spas. The quality seems there, and the mechanicals of it are superior. The sales team that was at the beginning were phenomenal and very helpful and made delivery very easy for us. When we got the spa, it had a small poke hole in the cover. I reported it and it was a very pleasant experience. They were bending over backwards, wanted pictures, and they were gonna ship out a new top for us. There was no question that if there’s any problem with that spa, they will be right there to guide us along.

We went to one of those road shows, and then did a background check on Master Spas, which is awesome, and took a risk and bought it. So far, we’ve been totally thrilled. We had a problem with the controller module, and they had a guy out of here to replace it. All within very good timing. I got a small tub because I only use it myself. But it still had all the features of the big one with the lounger. I got bad feet, and the Master Blasters are awesome. It’s in the middle of the tub and it shoots two feet above the top of the tub on full. They’re quite impressive. You have to take the front off to replace the water, but most tubs have a stick it out on the outside. And that would be nice, because taking the front off is kind of a pain.
I called them to have somebody out and told them I was pretty sure what the problem is. They believed me, and the guy showed up with the part. It took about two weeks, and the guy had to come 100 miles away. Overall, it’s a good value. I checked all around here at the storefronts and we’ve had a fair price. The delivery was when they said it would be. Everything about them has been very smooth, and it seems like a really nice hot tub.

I got a Twilight series hot tub from Master Spas and I like it. I bought it at a trade show at the civic center where they came in on a one or two-day weekend sale. Compared to others, it has a decent value and cost-wise. I use it a couple of days a week.

Master Spas is located close to our home, so we went with them. In selecting the model, my husband is 6'7" so we needed the one that fits him. Our tub has the speakers and the jets. He got all the bells and whistles. The tub is great and it keeps the heat. We go out and use it every other night. Although it is a lot more expensive than the other ones that are out there, it matches that in quality. We had no idea what we were looking for, so the guy who sold this to us was very helpful. We went and looked at them and it took us a long time to kind of save the money and decide what we wanted. But, he was really nice and he kept sending me emails, and then asking if he could answer any questions and asking how we were feeling then. I really appreciated that. He really is the reason that we got the spa.

We're very happy with our Master Spas. We like its design and shape, and it's really insulated well. The jets are also good and so is the lighting. The man that came to demo it at the house when it was set up was very good. Also, the salesman and the people that delivered it were excellent. We got it on our deck right outside our door for about four or five months now. We get to use it when we want to, and it relaxes us.

My wife and I recently went to a Spa expo looking for a new spa to replace our old spa. Master Spas had a large variety of hot tubs to choose from. Purchased the Twilight 67.25 spa. The sales rep explained to me that this was a fantastic choice, and my family would enjoy it. I Truly have to say, this is a Great hot tub!!! My wife and I enjoy this tub every time we use it! Thank you Master Spas.

I recently bought a Legacy Intrepid from one of the shows. My wife and I had a fantastic and pleasant experience with the staff and loved the product. We were replacing our old tub which they helped haul away and installed the new tub. Since installation and having an electrician hook it up, we have loved the new tub. The water is always clean and a lot less work to take care of compared to our old tub. The tub hasn’t had any issues other than a malfunction with the digital control but it was under warranty and they had someone out to fix it in a few days. I will forever recommend this company to my friends and family. We were long time customers of the old brand we were using but we will always buy Master Spas from now on.
Thank you, Connor! We're so happy to hear that you're enjoying your hot tub. Thank you for the kind feedback.

Master Spas' people were very good, showing me how to take care of the spa, and they’ve answered any question I had. The only confusion was trying to figure out which of the seats had the magnets in them, but I was able to get that information. So, I’m happy. Only, I would like to be able to turn the thermostat up one degree because it feels nice, but I can’t. It’s 104, and it’s as high it will go. I don’t think I can override that, but I understand that it’s a safety thing. The hot tub has a lot of things that I wasn’t planning on getting, but I was able to get a really good deal on it. So, the fact that it has little fountains and the lights change colors, wasn’t something I had on my must-have list, but I’m certainly enjoying them.

I purchased a Master Spas Twilight 8.25 a few months ago at a show in Medford, OR. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I walked in and saw a bunch of hot tubs, all the same color. I was however shown all the different models and features. I absolutely loved the TS 8.25. There a so many things going on on this tub. The Mineral system makes it very easy to take care of and I’m not soaking in chemicals. The foot jets are incredible as well. Neck and shoulder Jets are positioned perfectly. The price I was able to purchase this spa for was much less than any other comparable spas I looked at and the sales staff was very knowledgeable. Great spa, great price, great experience!
Thanks, Chad! We're so happy to hear that you're enjoying your new hot tub - it looks beautiful! Thanks for sharing about your experience. We appreciate it!

I found that not to be true after visiting the show. The sales guy was very knowledgeable and was great to deal with. They were one of the top major brands. Master Spas. I was glad to find out USA brand, USA parts. I am grateful I didn’t listen to the local guys. Plus got a better tub for a lower price. Thanks master spas.

I would give the spa an average rating. If I could do it all over again I would probably choose a different brand to be honest, but I have it now and it does the job just fine. First off the price. After taxes, so called discounts that everyone qualifies for, and no paid for extras, the total came out to about $9600 on my debit card. I think the price was higher if I financed, but he said I got the cash price. I'm fairly sure the guy next to me paid the same thing though to finance it, so I'm not sure. It's not a terrible price, as I wasn't looking for a ton of features. I didn't need a radio or some exotic butt scrubber.
The tub came fairly quickly, within a few days. The delivery team was very nice and did a good job. There was probably 6-7 scratches and markings that didn't come off, but the majority of them were all on one side. I just turned that side to where no one would see it. They don't take trash though, so beware you will be left with 1 big ** pallet to dispose of. It's like 9' x 4'. My trash company wouldn't take it. The hot tub was easy to hook up and heated up much faster than I expected.
Unfortunately after 2 days the tub quit working and the panel wouldn't turn on. I called Master Spa and they had a hot tub company come fix it within a week. I was actually fairly impressed with them. The hot tub fixing company asked me why I would ever buy a Master Spa though. Some of my concerns were verified now that I knew the company Master Spa hires to fix my Master Spa was not big fans of Master Spa. It is now over a month later and I do really enjoy this spa. The reason I'm giving this 3 stars are for the following reasons. The salesman told me I barely needed chemicals, it was super quiet, the jets are the strongest out of any spa this size
Cons:1. The salesman promised these things that were stretching the truth by a long shot.
2. I was told I only needed to add chemicals at most once a month. This thing needs them almost every day according to the manual. At minimum once per week. I wish I spend a bit more and got a brand with a saltwater system.
3. The tub is kinda loud. Louder than others I sat in. There are also manual valves that change jets, two of them hiss. I also don't think a tub in this price point should have to have the jets manually turned from one seat to another.
4. The jets aren't very strong. They are average at best, and when you have multiple seats going at once, the jets aren't strong at all.
5. I'm a bit worried how long it will last. It broke in two days, will it last 10 years? The warranty by the way only pays the repair man to drive 15 miles. After that you pay mileage fees.
Pros:1. It is a very large tub. 8x8 and gets my family of 2 adults and 2 kids well. We had 4 kids and 2 adults a week ago and it was fine.
2. The water heats quickly and stays hot reasonably well.
3. The tub looks sharp and the lights and waterfalls look cool.
4. The longer is really nice to sit in for someone that is 6'4. 240 I usually don't fit in many places well.
5. The cover is thick and seems well built.
There are radio add ons as well as other add ons, but for 10k you won't get any of that. The tub really isn't bad, and the instructional videos are far better than most any product I've bought. This tub is probably great for most people.

I bought my twilight spa from an event in Portland Oregon. The spa pool Bbq Show. I was greeted by a sales rep almost immediately. He introduced himself and spent a few minutes giving us the rundown on what we could expect. He was very professional and attentive. We had been looking to get a therapy spa and the sales rep spent a lot of time showing us the different features. I have to say the mineral filtration was the tipping point. We bought the 7 ft twilight spa and got a great deal compared to what we were looking at it had way more features. We had it for almost 6 months now and have zero complaints. We would do it all over again in a minute. We bought it on Sunday and were hit tubbing on Tuesday. All in all a complete success story. We would recommend Master Spa to anyone.

My experience with Master Spas has been fine. I have an 800 series hot tub, and I bought it for therapeutic purposes. I did a lot of research on it and I found out that it was probably the best spa on the market. They, however, had to make the model I like, so it took six weeks. The timeframe could have been better, but I understand that. The construction and the quality of the Master Spas far exceed most of the competition out there.

Updated on 11/06/2019: For some reason I can respond directly to Master Spas in a message but it won't post those comments on the initial review. As I stated in my previous review, the issues with my swim spa are due to a manufacturing defect that, as I'm told, are ongoing with ALL of the other models of this particular swim spa. The exterior cabinet panels warp and bow out and no matter how many times they come out to repair them/replace them, within a DAY the panels have once again warped and exposed the interior guts. Putting a band-aid on this issue is not going to resolve it, there needs to be a permanent solution, i.e. switching out all the panels for something more durable.
I was offered the above solution by Aqua Spas and was informed that Master Spas agreed to send out the necessary panels to do so, however they weren’t going to go out of their way to accommodate an upset customer, oh no. Since they missed the truck with the regular shipment to Aqua Spas, the rep there requested they send the pieces Fedex so they would arrive sooner and not leave the inner workings of my spa exposed to the elements. Master Spas flat refused and decided to wait until the next truck, which is two weeks out!
I am flabbergasted at the audacity of these people!! So now I am waiting another two weeks with the guts of my swim spa hanging out, just so they can save a few bucks on shipping! When I was informed that was the case, I let Aqua spas rep know that they will probably be replacing the control panels, once again, because of exposure to the elements. She responded that she understood and would be making a note of it. So, to say the least, I am not impressed with the customer service at Master Spas, all bluster and no actual recompense.
Original Review: My name is Kodi ** and in April of 2019 I received a Michael Phelps Master Spas from Aqua Spas. Having been excited to finally receive my swim spa, I was disappointed to discover several issues from the beginning. I am only posting this out of complete and utter frustration and want to warn everyone about the way I have been made to feel like a nuisance/inconvenience rather than a customer with issues needing resolved. It should have been red flag that something that required at least a team of two men to deliver ended up with only one.
Once our pool/spa had completely filled, I was surprised to discover that one of the jets was detached and floating around on the spa side. It was later explained to me the jets were removable, something that should have been explained during installation. I would like to say that my experience with Aqua Spas and Master Spas has improved since then, but it has only deteriorated further.
After numerous calls regarding missing speakers, to needing the Bluetooth receiver as well as a control panel replaced (many times with the technicians arriving without the proper replacement parts for my particular spa!), it was finally in working order, only for the exterior to start completely falling apart. Within the first three months, the soft tread padding that was installed on the pool side has started to curl up, and all the panels on the exterior have begun to warp and bow. Because the exterior panels are still warping after being replaced, moisture has managed to get into the interior cabinet, and I believe that that is why the control panel on the hot tub side is currently not working!
I have been informed that Master Spas has repeatedly sent the wrong parts needed to repair my swim spa, which has equated to several weeks--adding up to MONTHS--worth of delays. If that wasn’t enough, the communication breakdown on the part of Aqua Spas has been worse than anything I have ever experienced, and I have Comcast. I was informed after my initial three months was up that I would need to pay for service calls; having had previous experience with the communication issue, I was reluctant to pay, however I did so in order to get the issue resolved quickly. To the credit of the customer service department, I have not paid for a service call since, being that there has been mistake after mistake on their behalf. I have been dealing with these issues literally since its delivery in April of this year.
Today, October 28, 2019, there are at least three panels already bowing out and the control panel for the hot tub has malfunctioned so I can’t even set the filtration cycle to clean it. To have an item this costly, have this many issues and looking this awful, in our yard, is simply unacceptable. I have had numerous friends and associates inquire about and express interest in a spa pool like ours, however after the experiences to date and the huge number of problems we have had, I could not imagine recommending to anyone that they buy a Master Spa product, Michael Phelps Swim Spa, or anything else, from Aqua Spas.At this point I feel VERY strongly that the only thing of interest to Aqua Spas was making the sale, and nothing else.
Nothing this company has done since has led me to believe that keeping a happy, satisfied customer, who will speak well of your company, continue doing business with you, and recommend your products and services to friends and associates, is anywhere among their priorities. I’d like to be persuaded that I am wrong. At this point, however, mere words will do nothing to accomplish this, only actions. I sent all of the above in an email to the customer service department of Aqua Spas and Master Spas over two weeks ago and received nothing in response, which only further solidifies my low opinion of both. At this point I am so completely fed up that I just want the swim spa removed from my yard and my money refunded. TLDR: If you want anxiety, a whole lot of headaches and zero communication from anyone in the organization, by all means, give these people your money.
Hi Kodi. Thanks for reaching out, we're sorry to hear that you've been unhappy with your experiences so far. I talked to our corporate Customer Service Supervisor about this situation and he did inform me that he has talked to Aqua Spas and that they have been working to resolve these issues for you. If your swim spa has not already been repaired, it should be soon. Thank you again for the honest feedback, we appreciate it.
