This company experiences so much theft that now the honest consumer is paying for it. I was a regional loss prevention manager for Sam’s Club. We always had a philosophy of not allowing theft and the way we treated it to push away honest customers. The level of theft at Lowes has generated a new policy. You CANNOT RETURN ANYTHING without a receipt PERIOD. They can of course lookup your purchase if it’s on a card as long as you go back to the location you purchased from. However if you paid cash you are out of luck. It’s not enough to provide the worst customer service in the industry now you prevent people from even getting a merchandise credit for $1 I wonder when they will file for chapter 11 again.

I purchased a washer, dryer, range and refrigerator and the items were delivered but could not be installed at that time because the house was being painted. I rescheduled for installers to return a few weeks later to install and they just moved the appliances to the general area but did not full unpack or even plug in the appliances. They did not install the refrigerator handles, they didn't remove the styrofoam or plastic coating. They left water all over the kitchen floor and left my house in such a rush they forgot their tool bag. I will NEVER use Lowes for any installations again. I would rather pay more and use a reliable business with good customer service. The worst part is I can't get anyone on the phone who can help me resolve this issue. Everyone I speak to refers me to someone else. There's no accountability and no customer service.

I just had about the most disappointing interaction at my local store. The local group was great. I tried to return something that was well past corporate's arbitrary deadline to return a product. The local group inspected the product I was returning. The box had never been open, as a matter of fact, the plastic security banding was still in place. The box was in like new condition and it was still an active SKU in their system. They were willing to accept it to put back on the shelf to resell as it was an item that, if unused, was still able to be sold as new. One small problem. Even with the GM trying to do an override, corporate's system wouldn't allow it. Now, if the box had been deteriorated in any way. If the box had even been opened. If the SKU was no longer an active SKU. All of that, I would have accepted them not accepting the return. But all of that wasn't true.
As a matter of fact, I've bought product off the shelf that was new that was in worse condition than what I was trying to return. I've spent tens of thousands of dollars with Lowe's just over the last 5 years, and I can promise you, I will be looking to buy more from Ace and Home Depot moving forward. Again local store was great, but if they can't provide better customer service because of arbitrary corporate rules THEY DON'T AGREE WITH why should I give them my money?

I selected Lowes to replace my front door, hoping it is reliable business that I can count on. My whole experience is a total disappointment. When the project manager came to our house, we discussed all options that applied to our entry double door opening and we agreed on final price. Later he raised the price by $1500. The store made a mistake and did not supply the correct handle. I had a hole in the door for 1 month. I made dozens of calls. The handle was installed off and not symmetrical. Finally the door does not closes properly and it is rubbing against the door frame. I called again and still waiting for service. I spend so much money for a lousy job.

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience with Lowe's Tampa Palms store. When problems arose with my order, I encountered appalling treatment from Lynn, the Operations Manager. Her rude and unprofessional behavior left me feeling deeply disillusioned with Lowe's as a company. Despite raising valid concerns, I received no satisfactory resolution. As a loyal customer, this experience has shattered my trust in Lowe's. I strongly urge others to think twice before shopping there and to explore alternative options.

Lowe's gets one star only because it is not possible to give them a negative number. I prepaid Lowes for a whole house Pella window and door replacement package over 20 months ago, in October 2022. It is now June 2024 and Lowes has not completed the installation, refused to deliver two of the doors that I had paid for, and wilI not complete the job or repair the shoddy work by their contractor, Install Partners. The two doors that they ultimately refused to deliver had initially been provided with scratches so severe that their installation contractor would not even install them. Even if they had tried, they would not be able to do so since the doors were six inches wider than the opening for the doors that they were going to replace.
Several of the windows came in scratched or the wrong size. Two of the windows do not comply with local code. Their salesman, Doug **, grossly misrepresented the process, experience and end result. Their store manager, Michael **, will not even return calls or emails to attempt to resolve the matter. This has been the worst retail experience of my life. I will never buy from Lowes again.

I purchased tile and all the necessary items to replace my bathroom tile, along with installation. I told the salesperson exactly what needed done, including pulling tile off the wall, removing vanity and reinstalling a new one, along with a new toilet. Installer eventually showed up, stated they don’t touch vanities and left. Lowe’s stated they had no idea what I did or didn’t tell the salesperson & they don’t do vanities. Ok, fine, I hired someone else to do this.
Installer finally shows up again for demo, including ripping tile off wall, then disappeared, never to be seen again. Lowe’s made excuse after excuse for his bad behavior and eventually found another installer - weeks later. He did a horrible job, a child could have done just as well, they refused to be accountable for the gaping holes in the wall, they state since they used spacers, they contractually fulfilled their obligation, and it’s my fault for picking the wrong tile. HORRIBLE company, I will never purchase anything from them again, and I WAS a long time customer. Zero stars would be more appropriate.

I went to Lowe’s and purchased a full set of appliances two weeks ago and found out on a Sunday afternoon that the order would be an additional five weeks from what they told me the delivery date would be when I purchased at the store! Then when I contacted the store the people at Lowe’s told me to call their carrier. I thought isn’t that your job since Lowe’s contracted them but they said they would not! This isn’t good service at all when you are expecting and depending on dates for scheduling! When I told them to cancel the order because I couldn’t wait the additional five weeks they acted like they could care less! I’m a home builder and I will never again trust Lowe’s in purchasing any merchandise!

Like others, I would give zero stars if possible. I have lived in a 100+ year old house for 21 years, so have spent thousands of dollars at the Lowe's store in Henderson, NC. - washer, dryer, ac, doors, windows, etc. In fact, my new storm door was broken by a person delivering a dryer, but I never said anything. I am painting window trim now and mistakenly bought primer. The label (Valspar) led me to believe it would be ok to use as I just wanted white anyway. My mistake, I admit I didn't know better. After 4 coats and awful coverage I took a picture of the label and went back to the store the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend to get some help. The person in the paint department started out by making me read the label back to him. I had read it many times, but again I just wanted help to correct the problem. Instead of helping he made me feel like an idiot. I just wanted to get beyond it.
He picked out paint for me and told me to bring in the primer and I could get my money back. I hadn't even thought of that, but was pleased to hear. A few days later I needed something else, so went back with the primer to return, and the person at the returns counter picked it up and said, "there is too much used from this can. We can't take it back." She asked another person behind the paint counter and he said no. I said "there was a person working on Sunday that said I could return it." I didn't see at the time that he was also behind the paint counter. She said, "Well, I said you can't." I walked away. Though not major issues, in both instances I felt berated and belittled and felt it could have been handled differently. Whatever happened to Customer Service? Don't people realize it is really easy to find what I want these days from somewhere else and these two encounters have made me decide to avoid Lowe's stores whenever possible.

On May 22 I purchased a WIFI enabled thermostat from Lowe's online and was offered three dates/times for installation. I accepted three that were offered and my decision to purchase the item was dependent on the installation date. The item arrived on May 23 but when the date for installation came and went I called. I have now called on three successive days and after being put on hold for 20-30 minutes each time have been told I would be called to schedule an installation. Not only is the item not installed I have spent time waiting for the installer on the day promised and trying to get someone at Lowe's to acknowledge the order and need for installation. The representation of an installation date and time constitutes consumer fraud. If there were a problem with the date I could have been called but Lowe's has made no effort to reach out to me about this matter, even after I have called three times.

I would give NO STARS if it was an option!!! Bought a brand new Whirlpool washing machine from Lowe's last week that was delivered on Saturday. We set it up on Sunday, at which time small ants were coming from below the console panel. I got rid of the ones that I saw and proceeded to start my first load. Imagine my surprise when I went to move the clothes to the dryer and they were still VERY wet. I assumed it was the sensor, moved the clothes around and restarted. Same result. I have tried on 4 different occasions, all with the same result. The machine does not spin!
I called Lowe's this morning to do an exchange and was told it was not possible as it had been over 48 hours since delivery!!! WTH, they only give 2 days to make sure the appliance works?? That is unacceptable. So now, I have to go through Whirlpool and have it serviced, when it never worked to begin with. I will be posting this all over Social Media warning everyone to avoid Lowe's if they expect to receive working appliances and any sort of customer service!! Lowe's should be ashamed of themselves! WARNING***DO NOT PURCHASE ANY MAJOR APPLIANCES FROM LOWE'S IF YOU EXPECT THEM TO WORK!

I have tried unsuccessfully all morning and now all afternoon. I thought it was because I was trying to check out using my PayPal account. Logged back in this afternoon and this time I put in my credit card in. Nope, you closed me out, then you locked me out again. That was the last time. I’m done. My contractor told me to go to you. I showed him my and then he tried himself. Same issues.
Here’s the problem we are having, tried to place an order online. Put item in the cart. Go to check out, boom, I get kicked out. I’m not able to check out, it boots me out and then I go to sign in. It told me I signed in too many times. It was you folks who keep telling me to sign in and go back to my email to retrieve a code. It keeps cycling me through the sending me a code to confirm me. Again and again and again. Sometimes 4 times in a row. Put the code in and boom right back to you sending me another code.
I can honestly tell you as of today, I will no longer be trying to buy anything from Lowe’s. I had to try to log back in several times and delete my credit card info. I'm done. You have a poor site. Cannot buy anything from you. I have plenty of money to spend and I obviously will not be spending it with you. I will be going up the street to Home Depot. Because I just placed an order with them, without any troubles. All this time, HOURS, I thought it was me, my card, my PayPal, something other than your site.
Then to make matters worst, there isn’t even an email address that I can email you folks and tell you there is a problem with your site. I have wasted a whole day with this. I’m disgusted. I tried to call, got in your phone tree and couldn’t get thru. What a waste. Totally unacceptable! The only thing available is a chat box and there were 24 people in front of me. I’m not wasting another minute on you folks. Forward this email to management at Lowe’s. Because apparently there are no other email addresses to reach you people. So now I will go and leave a poor review. You have left me no choice. Talk about poor customer relations. It starts here and it ends here. You people are terrible. Your site needs work. You need an email address that people can reach out to. All you have done was created frustrated shoppers.
I went into the corporate office at my place of employment and had some small talk about what happened to me when I tried to place an order and how I couldn’t buy on your site for several hours. Tired and upset getting codes, getting kicked out, and getting locked out. Well, I was blown away, they too said they had the same trouble and they had to place orders elsewhere. He said it’s been like this for the last 4 times he tried to place orders this week. Do you know how much money you’re losing??? I’m joining them and won’t be returning. What kind of business are you running there? There is NO ONE to report it to.

Our first experience with doing a home improvement process with Lowe's was an absolute nightmare from start to finish. We hired them to replace 9 closet doors and were told that the project would take 6 weeks from order to installation. Instead it took 9 months. During this time, closets arrived broken and had to be replaced, they were not primed and had to be returned and redone, and they arrived and then couldn't be installed because they were the wrong size. Dealing with Lowe's during these 9 months was also a nightmare, We would receive multiple calls in a week with conflicting information, deliveries scheduled without arranging the date with us and delivering materials and leaving them uncovered in front of the garage in the rain without letting us know (we were home and also have a covered front porch).
We finally involved corporate's executive team but they were not able to offer much help either because no one in Loews speaks to each other including the executive team. It was also difficult scheduling the installation because they had very little availability which delayed the project even longer. We foolishly tried again this time with a door replacement with the downstairs exterior door and first they lost the original measurements, then the new installer ordered the door with the hinges in the wrong place and gave the store the wrong information causing the door to have to be ordered again.
The installer also failed to let us know that there would be complications because it's an old house. When we asked to have a different installer do the installation we were told they only had one requiring us to find an installer quickly because the downstairs door because of all the delays was not leaking. We are still dealing with the complications from the installation than any competent installer would have known. These have been expensive lessons and we will not be hiring Loews for any home improvement ever again.

I had Lowe's install an exterior door that was not installed properly by their vendor, Incredible Installation. The installer installed the door on top of the floor tiles instead of on the subfloor as the original door was so the threshold of the new door is about 2 inches higher than the floor instead of being flush like the old door threshold used to be. I contacted Lowe's and advised them that I felt the door was not installed properly and subsequently sent the same installer from Incredible Installation back out to take a look.
Ray came back out and we discussed my concerns and how it could be fixed. Ray told me that the company would come back and lower the door so the threshold would be sat lower but I would have to cut the floor tiles so that it could sit flat on the subfloor. I explained to Ray that I am a disabled veteran and the high threshold on the door was a trip hazard for me and I had already tripped on it and nearly fell on my face because of it. Ray took pictures and before he left again stated that they would come back and fix it. Ray advised that Lowe's would have to open some sort of ticket before they would be able to come back and take care of it.
My wife received a call from Lowe's advising that Incredible Installations would be contacting us in a few days to schedule the fix. A week went by and no one from Lowe's or Incredible Installations had called so my wife called Lowe's and was told that they were not going to fix the door as they stated. Lowe's and Incredible Installations are now saying that there was nothing wrong with the door install and that we were just asking for the door to be fixed because it was our personal preference and we have to pay $400 for them to come back and fix mistake. Lowe's had no intention of calling me to let me know. When Ray installed the door he had to cut the top of the door opening about 2 inches to fit the new door into the opening when he should have cut the 2 inches from the floor it would have fit.
The installer did not reveal that he couldn't cut the floor until after he came back. If he had told me this during the install I would have cut the floor myself which is what was agreed upon when he said they would come back to fix it. I called a Lowe ECSR who contacted the installer who called my wife back a short time later advising that they weren't going to fix the door and it would cost us $400 for the vendor to come back. Up until this incident I have not had any issues with any of my other projects with Lowe's. I'm amazed that they won't stand behind fixing the poor workmanship of one of their vendors and charging the customer for the installer's mistake.

It took multiple calls and 3 days before the warehouse called to schedule redelivery and said the earliest was 2 weeks. I said no thank you, cancel my order, I'd like a refund. The service rep I spoke to confirmed the refund, the amount, and gave me a case #. Lowe's has the worst installation I have ever experienced. We purchased a rather expensive siding/facia project from a Lowe's sales rep. 1st after placing and paying for the order, Lowe's states they do not replace facia, but will honor it since their sales rep. sold it to us. The work was very sloppy & was only completed because we had to constantly call Lowe's and ask them to come out. So make sure you have the time to call Lowe's because to have a project completed YOU the customer must constantly call and have a new work order placed.
Lowe's has no idea what the contractors are doing. No one from the company checks the works or verifies the customer is satisfied with the outcome. A piece of our exterior siding has come off, the sales person says there is a warranty for a few more months and two weeks later, a representative of Lowe's calls and will not honor that warranty. Beware that Lowe's can refuse to honor its own written guarantee. I purchased a planting pot with Colorado Blue Spruce on 12/09/20233. Item's label clearly and unambiguously displayed 1 year guarantee period and the cashier confirmed the same guarantee period at the time of the purchase. This purchase would not make sense without at least a few month's guarantee as people are not usually planting trees in Illinois in December.
I brought this item for a refund or replacement on 05/13/2023. I provided the item's cashier slip and item's label that advertised 1 year guarantee period. The Lowes store assistant manager refused to honor the written guarantee. According to him, my purchase was a "holiday item", and Lowes's return policy (lowes.com/returns) does not allow returning "holiday items". The phone call to the Lowes did not help either.
I believe my consumer rights were violated by Lowe's using deceptive sales for the following reasons:
1. The Advertised guarantee period was the major decision factor during the purchase, and the guarantee was not honored.2. Nothing on the item's display or nearby stated that this is a "holiday item". On the opposite, the cashier confirmed the 1 year guarantee period during the purchase time.
3. Lowe's return policy mentions only returns, and says nothing about replacement. Lowes refused the item's replacement and exchange.
4. Definitions of the "holiday item" and "items purchased before the holidays" were interpreted in a deceptive (and unfair to the customer) way to cover the purchase date which was two and half weeks before Christmas. This way any item could be declared as a "holiday item" behind the customer's back, and any day of the year can be declared as a "day before (or after) the holiday".

Lowe’s opens a new superstore in Davie on State Route 84 and everything they sell they try to make you a commercial account with $50 so they're pushing and recruiting handyman and contractors who then after you pay them cash disappear off the face of the Earth and you turn to another one which I'm up to $450 on a free installation when I bought the water heater and open the account. I have talked to customer service delivery installation who was supposed to give me the free installation and refused. The dryer was wired wrong and the electrician that came out after they left said he couldn't explain why the house didn't burn to the ground and they didn't even attempt to hook up the dryer vent and also LG dryers vent must be stove pipe or it will void the warranty and lowes does not know that either and now have about 1300.00 in repairs that lowes is finally reimbursing me but that as well takes 5 to 7 weeks. Wow. They wanted my money before I could get the washer and dryer delivered because they hooked up the dryer wrong.
They don't just bring you a new one. You have to buy it then after 5 calls to several people they refunded the dryer. Then after several more calls they refunded the extended warranty. Then more calls and finally refunded the cord for the dryer the vent and the clamp. If I would not have called countless times they would have just kept my money and that is stealing. Even walmart.com lets the consumer know if a third party will be filling the order before the actual purchase, not so with Lowe's; when I contacted them about the discrepancies in my delivery they offered no remedy or help other than to provide contact information for a company that I had no idea I was doing business with! Surely the onus is on Lowe's to negotiate with a third party since they are the ones who chose to do business with them. The end of this story finds me just accepting the wrong material, making adjustments to my project (time and money), vowing to never deal with Lowe's(t) again and availing myself of every opportunity to broadcast some facts about this underhanded company.

Front door and side lite purchase and installation. Purchase date Oct 22, 2023. Installation date Jan 18, 2024. This product was ordered by my wife. When I got home from work and saw the new front door and side lite I thought it had a nice appearance except for the trim they used. However, upon closer inspection, it was sorely obvious that this was an extremely poor install job. The side lite is out of true, there is a 1/4" gap between the door and jam where the door latch barely catches and sometimes not at all. The strike plates are not properly routed in place leaving an inexcusable mess. Caulking along floor and trim was messy and just plain awful. The inside trim used was just straight primed boards roughly cut with visible gaps between the rail and stiles.
I called to register a complaint at Lowe's. The measure guy came out to inspect and agreed that this was an extremely poor job. He said that he ordered a 55 1/2" door and side lite and what was installed was a 53 1/2" door and side lite. None of the installers checked his order acknowledgment before demolition of old door and side lite so now they had to block out the opening to fit the smaller unit which explains the rough boards used as inside trim. The outside trim is no better. In fact, the unit was supposed to include a build-out for a storm door and did not. So the installer went back to Lowe's to get a stick of Red Wood to use for the build-out. He charged us extra for that. And he installed it without notching the top which a pro would have done for a clean look. I have been communicating with Lowe's for some time now. Twice they called me to say the new unit is arriving within two weeks. The first time was in April. The second time was a week ago.
The individual I spoke to said that there was a dispute between Lowe's and the Install Company - Premier Services Group. PSG did not want to pay for the re-install of the replacement unit. This took over a month to resolve. I asked Lowe's to make sure that the team that comes out to install the replacement are not the same individuals who screwed it up the first time. And, I will take the day off for the replacement unit install to watch closely and make sure it is done right the second time. Based upon my experience so far with this travesty, I do not recommend using Lowe's for installation. Go ahead and buy the product but find a local professional who is highly regarded to do the installation. My background is Kitchen and Bath Design and Installation so I know what I am talking about.

I wouldn't recommended Lowe's installation services to my worst enemy. Their customer service is poor, would rate negative if able. I had two installations through Lowe's and both were nightmares. One was cabinets and one was backsplash. The cabinets were delivered a week prior and the day before install I receive a call that the installer has an emergency, I am then delayed another 24 hours with $30,000 worth cabinets taking up the majority of my kitchen, dining and living room. Then the company sent installers from 3 hours away, was told it would a 1 day job and it actually took over 3 days. The installer hung a cabinet upside down causing the unfinished side to be visible so then we had to wait for the "skin" to arrive to fix that. THEN we had two doors that were damaged and had to wait for those.
The backsplash install was another nightmare. I could not get a hold of the installers when they didn't arrive, I called the subcontractor only to find out they cancelled the job because Lowe's didn't have the product ready for them. I can live with all of this. What I cannot live with is the gross incompetence of 90% of the people I spoke with in the installation department. I was told to call to see what could be done compensation wise for the cabinet install delay and the backsplash install delay. I was bounced around from person to person. Spoke with manager Cameron, who was absolutely horrific and offered me "$25 gift card" for my troubles. Then when I called back about the backsplash, I was bounced from person to person again and to another manager who assured me she would handle it, only to be out of office for the next 3-4 business days, she apparently "passed it over to her best associate" who never called the day she said she would.
I have spent more time on the phone with installation services than I have actually be able to spend in my brand new kitchen. I highly highly highly suggest looking elsewhere when it comes to the installation. The cabinets, countertop and backsplash are all absolutely stunning but it truly is of no thanks to Lowe's Installation. The cabinet install was done through NKI, the countertops through Akropolis Marble and Granite, and the backsplash through Hunter's Flooring. Those companies were wonderful to work with but if that means going through Lowe's I would look elsewhere.

Before I could get out of the vehicle good the guy in the SUV was asking me where the range goes. I stated to him in the house. He was rushing me to show him where the range goes. I told him that they would have to come thru the front entrance with the range.
Moments later I learned that they had actually took the range off of the truck when I wasn’t home and put a brand new unboxed range in my backyard. I became extremely furious inquiring as to why they would put my range in the backyard. And. Was he planning to leave it there. He stated that they were going somewhere else and come back later to put it in. I’m thinking what the HELL. Who does that? I then asked them to unbox the range so that I could examine it being that this was the 4th range that has been delivered in the last 3.5 weeks. I finally told him that I as a customer have a right to examine anything that I have paid for and it coming into my house. The range had a small dent at the bottom. He states. “Oh that’s nothing.” I told him that was not his decision to make. Once they finished the delivery I immediately went to Lowe’s. Recently I went into my local Lowe’s that I have been a customer with for over 20 years. I had several items to return that I had bought and had the receipt on. The small items total approximately 100.00. I had used my Amex card, but did not have it with me. I asked for a store credit instead so I would not have to go back home to get the card. They informed me that the purchase was made over 90 days ago and they could not do a store credit. My items were purchased 98 days earlier and were not open or used. They also stated that I could bring the card in to run the refund, but could not tell me if it would work since the purchase was made over 90 days ago.
At this point I was very disappointed. I had intended to do some additional shopping, but decided to reach out to the store manager later that day to get some clarity on this situation. The store manager had already left for the day. I then asked for the district manager and was told they did not have their number and instead provided the customer service number. The recording I got stated that my call would be answered within 15 minutes. Was finally able to talk with someone 25 minutes later. Was told that if I had used the a Lowe’s credit card, that I could return items as late a a year later. I have spent thousands of dollars with this Lowe’s store and am truly shocked at the level of terrible customer service.
I decided to call customer service to inquire about a Lowe’s credit card to see how quickly they would answer. It took less than 2 minutes. It is amazing that if you have their credit card and they can earn interest off of you, that you receive a 1 year return option and your call is answered in less than 2 minutes. Great customer service! I will now start using my local Home Depot and Ace. It is a shame that Lowe’s is losing a long time customer over such a stupid policy as well as a very poor customer service experience. If Lowe’s expects to be as profitable as Home Depot, maybe they need an executive team that can perform at the same level as the competition does and provide better policies and customer service. If not, Lowe’s may become the next Sears, HQ, TWA, and Kmart. I’m sure if I do not hear back, they are destined to fulfill this in the future. Good luck.

Finally, they were going to deliver on Mar 29, but on the 28th, they called to say they had to change the dishwasher order because it hadn't arrived with the rest of the appliances from the central facility. Since it was 1 day before the delivery, they rescheduled so everything could deliver on the same date. The new delivery was scheduled for April 18th, but only the dishwasher arrived. I called Spirit Logistics (who delivered for Lowe's) to ask if it was still coming and they informed me the rest of the appliances were changed to delivery on Monday 22 April because the shipping paperwork wasn't correct. I was not informed of this change and had to chase them down.
My delivery window for 22 Apr was set at 10 AM - 2 PM. At 9:30 AM, I got a text saying they were finishing the stop prior to mine and on their way. These are getting delivered at a new construction home, so I do not live there. I dropped everything and rushed to the house to be available early. But the truck didn't show up - I waited the whole 4-hour window (plus the extra 30 minutes when they texted early) and called to make sure there wasn't an error. Each time I called I was assured the truck was en route. At 2:20 PM, Spirit called to say they were experiencing a 2-hour delay on delivery. The appliances finally arrived at 4:30 PM. The gas appliance install kit was missing.
Then I noticed the charge on my credit card was higher than what I had purchased the bundle for online. About $450 higher. Plus I was charged for delivery which was waived on my original order. I tried to call Lowe's to correct the situation but got disconnected several times while attempting to deal with these problems. Today I drove to my local Lowe's to discuss in person.... only to be informed they can't do anything about the price changes because a DIFFERENT Lowe's location fulfilled the order. My wife and I are currently updating our kitchen appliances in our home and have chosen to go with Kitchen Aid from Lowe's. Our 3rd purchase was a wall oven/microwave combo. The process started very smoothly with excellent instore customer service and we were able to take advantage of an end of year sale and purchased the appliance for a great price. Unfortunately the great experience ended there.
When the tech from CRST arrived to install the appliance he started off by banging his tool box against my wall when entering the home chipping the paint and texture. Not a huge deal, it happens. He then proceeded to ask to cut the opening in my cabinets larger due to him purchasing the wrong boards to build out the existing opening. I paid an additional $450 for the install due to needing being built out. I told him no as it would not look right and said I have the tools needed to complete the task and let him use my tools to complete the install.
After he left I noticed he used too large of screws and they were sticking out of my cabinet by over 2". Exposed into my dining room and we have pets and small children. After reaching out to them weekly for 3 months with very little response I was asked to provide a quote. 2 days after the request I received an email saying the claim was being closed due to the time period it had been open. I submitted my quote 4 days after the request and have followed up multiple times without response. It now looks as if I will need to engage a lawyer to resolve the situation. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received and will no longer use Lowe's for installation moving forward.

I have called and was told to call back tomorrow and schedule a haul away and to call the store I purchased it from. Upon doing so I had to call 3 times since no one answered the phone. I asked for a manager only to be put to another unanswered phone. I am waiting for someone from the main customer care to call me back since I had to wait up to an hour for someone to call me back. On Sunday, my husband and I purchased a new refrigerator from the Lowes in West Mifflin. Delivery and removal of my old refrigerator were set for Monday. The delivery drivers arrived fairly late in the day. They refused to remove my old refrigerator because they said it was too heavy. I could not have my new refrigerator installed while the old one was still there. The delivery was rescheduled for Wednesday. On Wednesday, They still refused to remove the old refrigerator. They left the new one and the old one unplugged in my kitchen.
Today they came back to pick up the old fridge, a service I paid extra for. They had four people to move the refrigerator this time and still refused. One of the delivery men basically said he only makes $65 per delivery and hauling and he and his crew were not going to take my old refrigerator. They left. Now I have missed 3 days of work, I didn't get the service I paid for. I have and old fridge and a new fridge that still hasn't been installed. No one at Lowes seems willing to answer for this. This is very unprofessional. I think I will shop elsewhere for my large appliances and fixtures when I do my home remodel.

In February 2023 went to my local Lowe's for a kitchen remodel because they had done a very good job in my previous house about 6 years ago. I started with one of their kitchen specialists, but he was soon transferred to another store. I was switched to a young woman who clearly knew very little about how to design kitchen cabinets. She couldn't even spell my name correctly after several attempts. I decided to go back to the original man, even though his work place was much further from my home. We went over the plans the gal in the Tempe store had made. The man in the Gilbert store found a series of errors she had made, so we started all over again.
In March 2023 I paid fully for the job, but was called back about a month later to pay an additional thousand dollars (the guy had failed to order the trim for the cabinets). It took several months for the cabinets to be delivered and more time for the installation. Even then, all the needed trim was missing and none of the hardware had been installed (although it was sitting in the kitchen for them to put in). Apparently the trims had been delivered to the store, not to my house, so it took several more months for that to come. In the meantime they said I owed more money for it, although I had a bill stating that everything had been fully paid by me.
I kept calling and asking them to come and finish the job, but this didn't happen until December 2023. At every step there was a problem. The sink I had ordered never arrived, so I went to the store to order it again. They didn't have the proper size, so finally I ordered it from Home Depot and it was delivered the next day. I don't recommend that anyone starts a project with Lowe's Installations. They don't care about timely work, helping the client, or how the finished project looks. I don't even go the my nearby Lowe's store any more for anything. I greatly prefer to drive further and buy at Home Depot.

I ordered a push mower online and opted for delivery because I have no way of transporting such a large item. The next day I realized I had ordered the wrong model (my bad) so I searched for an option to cancel which was not to be found. Called customer service, was on hold for 45 minutes only to be told they couldn't cancel it for me and to just not accept it when it was delivered, which meant I had to be home all day since no on was able to tell me who the carrier was going to be let alone the expected delivery time. Went to my local store who couldn't help me either because it was ordered online.
Two days before the delivery date I was notified it would be delivered by FedEx. Called them to cancel but they make sure you can't get to talk to a real person but did find out only Lowe's could cancel. Called Lowe's again, on hold for 20+ minutes again only to be told they could not cancel the delivery. Although tracking showed only the label was create, Lowe's insisted it was already shipped. So now the parcel has to travel several hundreds of miles to get here and be right back on its way and I have to take a day off to be able to catch the delivery driver. Why make things easy when you can make them as difficult as possible?

I walked into a Lowe's store in July 2023 to design cabinets for a new house build. It's now 10 months later, April 2024, and my project is still not complete. It has been extraordinarily frustrating to completely halt progress on a house build that should have been completed months ago, only to be held up by the constant, repeated failures and incompetence of Lowe's and the third parties it works with.
Once designed and paid for, the cabinets were delivered in September '23, but since then it has been a complete disaster. Some cabinets arrived damaged, and some were the incorrect size. We ordered replacements for all of these immediately, but they did not arrive until January '24, because a shipment of cabinets went missing and had to be re-ordered again.
In the meantime, some of the cabinets were installed, but obviously, some were missing. I could not, and cannot, move forward with my house project until all cabinets are installed. Once the remaining cabinets were delivered and installed, the spacers and toe kicks were found to be missing because they were never ordered back in July '23. Some of those also arrived damaged and had to be re-ordered. Our cabinets around and above our kitchen stove do not line up, so they will have to be taken down and re-installed correctly because they were installed despite the spacers not having arrived yet. Cabinets in other rooms have the same issue, installed without the adequate spacer between the wall and cabinet.
Mistakes are expected, but at every step of the way something has gone wrong that has caused the project to be delayed further and further. I cannot stress enough how far away you must run from Lowe’s when ordering something of this nature. Lowe’s is not directly responsible for everything that has gone wrong, but at the end of the day, I paid them for these cabinets, and the people they work with to complete the project have been laughably careless, which is a poor reflection of how much Lowe’s cares about the end result and the customer.

It's hard to overstate how bad our experience with Lowe's installing our front door was. Several weeks into waiting and after paying, they updated us that the door was not even still being made. We waited months for nothing. We chose a different door and moved forward. Then they installed it several weeks later and forgot to give us half of the screw cover caps (and they are of course out of stock on the manufacturer page, and they sell for a big markup on other sites). They also chipped stucco off of the front of the home by the door frame, which we now have to repaint.
Much worse, the installers forgot to notify anyone the door needed the final permit inspection by the city. After waiting a while, I checked in with my local store and the rep said the inspection was coming. The rep obviously didn't even look up the status or he'd have seen the installer had not notified anyone it was ready for an inspection. Almost two months later, with the door sitting with exposed studs inside the whole time as is required waiting for a permit, I called the national number and they discovered no inspection had even been requested.
Finally, it got that inspection and passed. Lowe's came back out to add the trim, and we asked for the missing screw covers but they said too bad, the installer didn't have any. They finished installing the trim which they beat up a lot in the process. They didn't cover any of the frame screws (those don't come with covers). The door looks mediocre and beat up all around the frame even though it is brand new.
Because this all took so long, we were at that point selling our home. The national Lowe's rep completely ignored the title company emails and almost caused our closing to be cancelled because the title company couldn't get confirmation from Lowe's that the door was done with no balance due. We couldn't prove it had no balance due because for reasons no one at Lowe's could explain, the price listed on the contract was one cent higher than the amount Lowe's charged our Lowe's card (we didn't set that amount—Lowe's did, and somehow they screwed up paying themselves). Because the contract price appeared higher than what Lowe's charged, it looked like we owed one cent. And since Lowe's was completely unresponsive in confirming no balance was due, we were down to hours left before our closing was cancelled.
Lowe's didn't even respond then, even after I called the national number and the store. Several days AFTER the deadline, the Lowe's rep who was supposed to respond finally answered the title company. Fortunately, the title company let the one cent go and our closing was not cancelled from it. Lowe's did almost everything wrong. And no one cared. No one made it right. Terrible experience, and I will not have Lowe's install anything ever again. I'm not sure I'll even shop there. NEVER HAVE LOWE'S INSTALL ANYTHING. RUN. RUN FAST.

Lowe's is local to my home, so I do shop there. Must say though that as an avid DIY homeowner I find Home Depot has more of a selection of the things I'm usually looking for. My most recent Lowe's visit was a disappointment. Needing weed & feed for my lawn I purchased a bag in their lawn & garden center and applied it to my lawn. Needing a second bag I returned to Lowe's, this time walking through the main store where they also stocked weed & feed. This time I noticed a buy weed & feed and receive a free bonus 5,000 foot bag of basic fertilizer. However, I couldn't locate the bonus product. Customer service helped me locate the bonus product - but just one bag remained. Lowe's stocked what I counted to be at least 100 bags of the weed & feed part of the special but only had one bonus bag.
When I inquired about how I could obtain the second bonus bag to go along with my two weed & feed purchases I was informed that it was a "while supplies last" bonus offer. I inquired about a rain-check for the second bonus bag and was denied that. Instead I was told to check back frequently to learn whether they get a new supply of bonus fertilizer bags. I feel this business tactic by Lowes is despicable (and probably should be illegal). I will have no choice but to not reward Lowe's with my dollars whenever an alternative exists.

The dryer does a terrible job drying the clothes no matter what temperature you’re allowed to use.
Why would any manufacturer of a washer and dryer try to tell the consumer what they can and can’t do to clean & dry their clothes. They need to spend more time improving their substandard equipment and stop limiting the consumer who wants to do a quick wash with high spin instead of medium. There is no conservation of water or electricity when using these machines because you have to wash the clothes twice and continually turn the dryer back on. DO NOT BUY THIS BRAND! Don’t Do It! This has been the Worst experience I’ve ever had! The Springfield Northside assistant manager informed me tonight after I told her I was reporting them to the Consumers Act “she didn’t care, she ready had one on her desk she was working on.” That’s A Quote! The Store Manager was standing beside her behaving in the same manner. After I had spent 24 hour, 9 different people (including Store dept managers, Warehouse, and Corporate) hours of hold time and automated nonsense. I had walked in the store with a email from corporate that could have worked the whole thing out. They however Were So Disrespectful and Rude I told them to come get it all. I had ordered a stove, fridge, dishwasher.
-Fridge had No handles, a dent, and scratches. Handles are nowhere to be found. Even though I bought it in Springfield it was shipped from Lebanon. Which means Springfield will not stand behind their sale at all, and you have to deal with a totally different store, warehouse, delivery. Ordered it Friday, delivery Monday Morning, Tuesday night Still no news or answers.
- STOVE I was sold (and the reason I bought from them) a double oven stove for 775.00. Now I argued with the sales rep and told him it was more expensive but he assured me, "No it was on clearance with 20% off" and I was getting a heck of a deal. When they delivered it was one door, totally wrong stove. NO one has been willing to make this right.
First call- Dept Manager, “That’s a 1200 stove I don’t know what you want me to do about it.”Second - Store Manager, "You would have to have the warehouse deal with it, they can do refunds and make it right."
Third - Warehouse- "It’s the store's problem, we can’t order products."
Fourth- 1st Corporate Customer Service, “You need to calm down and be patient." This was remedied when my male husband got on… his tune changed. He made a replacement order. But it was the Same Stove they had already delivered! The wrong one Again!
Fifth- Corporate Customer Support Supervisor.
Now she called the store. She emailed me the numbers that made it all come out even. All that had to be done was the Store decide to be helpful.
(Many other calls were made to Lebanon because again fridge is a completely different store.)
When we walked in the Manager cut me off while talking and told me he didn’t want to hear it, he would get the assistant manager I had talked to earlier. I informed him that didn’t matter I had a email from Corporate. He was rude and continued to tell me he wasn’t interested. Even the desk girls acknowledged he was rude. They continue to the office where they pull everyone back and have a pow-wow. Then they came back, she came up to the counter sporting a RBF and massive attitude. I pulled myself together and asked if they could just be nice and try to help. She informed me they had been nice. I had said I was finished with Lowe’s so….
At that point I told them to pick up their appliances asap, I would be reporting them. She said “Go ahead I already have one on my desk I’m working on." I replied "you Deserve It, I’m sure." We have a Lowe's credit card. We tried to use it and it was rejected because of a fraud alert. We spent over 4 hours on the phone with Lowes staff and they couldn't help us. My husband had to take a video of himself, while he was on the phone with Lowe's personnel and then he had to send a picture of his driver's license, again, while he was on the phone with Lowe's staff and link for the picture didn't work. He tried 6 times and the only answer they could give him was "We can send you the link again". The customer service representative's only response was to say I'm sorry. They couldn't fix it! When I questioned them they were rude and told me to check out inside. The store isles are so cluttered, there is no way I could have pushed a packed garden cart through that store. I wish I could say that you have done well. But I cannot. I worked for Lowe's for 12 years, I ran the appliance department as well as the Delivery and receiving Departments. I have tried to buy appliances from Lowes twice now and both experiences have been so phenomenally terrible I am debating whether I will even enter a store again. The first was a dryer, and two days of trying to get it delivered and installed. The third party delivery people not knowing the difference between a range cord and a dryer cord, refusal to stack the dryer as was specifically requested when the unit was purchased, and nearly causing a fire by not removing the plastic from inside the dryer, running it and leaving the house (in complete disarray).
The stress of calling Lowe's customer service, and the third party delivery was more than enough. I consigned myself to never again getting a delivery from the third party ever again. I thought that maybe, just maybe, an installation would be better. Again I was wrong. A simple dishwasher. BUT again Lowe's goes through a third party that does not care. I took the day off of work to wait for the install. We had two inches of snow and the install was cancelled. As they will not do installs on weekends, and I am not able to take another day off of work, I chose to take the easy road this time. I cancelled and refunded my purchase. I know full well that nothing on this earth will get Lowe's to fix this because it's the "Third Party". Well, it isn't. It's Lowe's, and their conscious choice to abandon customer service and pass the buck to a third party.
Poor Policies. And what used to be an outstanding place to get an appliance is now the most infuriating place. For the sake of your future customer base I hope you change your policies back to those that actually demonstrate care for the customers who shop there. As for me, I will never buy another appliance from Lowe's again.

When it was delivered I was told it couldn't be installed because because it couldn't be hook-up to the existing shut-off and that I would need to contact a plumber to do the install. The delivery person said to call the store to receive a refund of the $35.00. I called the store and asked for the $35.00 refund and they refused to give a refund because they said the $35.00 was for parts to do the install and that the install was free. That was not what I was told. I was told the install was $35.00. I talked to 3 people to request the refund and all 3 refused. This all over $35.00. I will never shop at Lowe's again.

I ordered a stove and refrigerator from Lowe's and scheduled a delivery for both in February, 2024. When the delivery team for the refrigerator arrived, they had trouble fitting it through the kitchen, and decided they needed to move a hutch. Without permission or removing anything from the hutch, they started shoving it aside, breaking the legs, and collapsing the whole thing. Then they kicked my DVDs and knickknacks that had been on the hutch aside like trash, stepping all over the items they'd dumped.
I filed a complaint with Lowe's and was told it was the contractor's responsibility. The contractor lied and said I caused the damage. I never touched the hutch. Lowe's should have ultimate responsibility since it's their contractor, but I was told to call the contractor and work it out on my own. Lowe's has lost my business. I will never shop with or deal with this company again, and I will make sure any business I deal with in the future does not use Barnes Trucking Enterprises as a contractor.

Well, for one, the stove was a week late. Then when the stove got delivered the delivery person said they Do Not do the installation and it will be a separate price. Never buy anything from Lowe's. They are SCAMMERS disguised as a reputable company. I received a Primo water cooler advertised as “new”. The box was torn apart, the top and bottom gone and only styrofoam to support. I had no option but to dispose of the remnants. It's very possible that we received a REFURBISHED item. The previous PRIMO we owned lasted us almost 10 years with the pump sort of failing at the end. Instead of trying to figure out to fix it, we ordered from Lowe's thinking their price was decent for the item because Sam's Club and Costco were out of Primo's under $200.
A little over 2 months, it's defective (does no cool water and everything comes out warm). We contacted Lowe's who, gave them the whole spill about the “no box” and the circumstances. They assured us that this was not a problem, and that Fedex will take care of boxing it at their expense. So we scheduled for a pickup with Fedex noting that there is “no box” and faced no objection.
A Fedex rep showed up today and said he won't take it without a box. This resulted in additional hours spent over the phone and they prompted me to re-scheduled another pickup with them, saying “this time we should have no issues”, adding an apology that “it wasn't noted correctly”. I thought that was that. Then some Fedex supervisor called me changing his tune and saying they WON'T take it as it and that even if it was dropped off at a location, it won't get accepted. I do not have a vehicle that fits the cooler and I shouldn't be liable for driving 12 miles to drop it off at a location, but I wanted to find out if there is a distinction between a pickup and a dropoff. I have now started a credit card dispute and I'm in the process of submitting a complaint with BBB.
Do yourselves a favor and spend the extra money, if you have to, to buy your appliances from a trustworthy source to get a “brand new” item with a reliable return policy. I purchased another unit through Costco knowing their guarantee is trustworthy. They have their own staff to pick up large appliances if a customer is not satisfied. Lowe's simply scammed us, exploiting our limitations.

To avoid having to replace the fridge they send different companies out for the same issue and it shows up in their system as a totally brand new claim. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. Customer service is in the Philippines and it's like you are talking to a robot cause they are just reading a script. It doesn't matter what you tell them, they will give you the same answer that is written on their script. You ask for a supervisor they tell you that you do not need a supervisor as they are highly trained on the matter. They have no clue what they are talking about.
I have had about 10 different visits from different companies. The guy that came today couldn't even look at my fridge because his system wasn't working. I am going on almost 10 days with a fridge that is not cooling. I can't even make a food shopping as the fridge is not cooling properly and my food will get damaged. Then the rain came...two windows leak, one really bad so much that now the window sill is mushy. I can't be there nonstop to clean water. All the windows get water on the channels inside, as well as slider. The slider doesn't lock properly. Nearly 4 months later and NOTHING. I've communicated with Lowe's more times than I want to.
The manufacturer, Milgard, came out. There is no manufacturer defect. I had another contractor come out, they said poor install and only fix is to remove and install all new windows. The latest response from Lowe's was, "I'll let you know as soon as I have more information". In the meantime, the windows continue to leak each time it rains. It is so frustrating that they just won't come and fix this incredibly major screw-up....especially now that it's not a manufacturer thing. They somehow try to make it your problem, which is not right.
On top of that...the contractors they used also damaged part of the laminate flooring. They didn't say anything in October, but in December I noticed a creaking noise. Flooring company came out... The T Mold was broken in 2, and they used silicone to "glue" it together. Then they put small nails on each end and tried to drive it into concrete (seems rather stupid) and then completely sealed it with silicone, so the flooring can't move making the creaking sound. I'd avoid using them. They might do the job, but if something goes wrong, it seems they just don't care and it takes months of horrible communication and no results.

Absolutely terrible experience. Never use Lowe's to do your flooring install. They contract out work. The pods they contract with through Service Pros is subpar. I had wood flooring installed in my home. It is buckling and cupping. They said it was because there was a moisture leak in my home. I take an accusation like that very seriously. I had a plumber come out, I had crawl space vendor come out and I had a contractor come out. There is no moisture leak.
Service pros came out a 3rd time trying to find blame me for the flooring issue instead of accepting responsibility, honoring the warranty and replacing the flooring. This 3rd time I watched as they inspected the flooring. They took pictures of the floor nowhere near the buckling and submitted as evidence there was no issue. They have not submitted pictures of the buckling. They have not submitted pictures of the cupping. The rest of the wood flooring in my house is totally fine. There is NOT vertical expansion (there is space between the walls and flooring vertically). There IS horizontal compression (horizontal buckling). There is cupping in the wood.
They (the installers) said there has been an issue with the wood on many of their recent installs. They also said they said they had to use different nails specifically in the location that the buckling (horizontal compression) is happening because the wood was put together so tightly. The rest of the wood in my house is perfectly fine (no buckling, no compression). The issue starts exactly when you cross into the primary bedroom. They said the best solution is to replace all the flooring in the primary bedroom. They said there wouldn't be any additional pushback. There is moisture barrier they was placed below the flooring. They said the next call I would receive from Service Pros would be to schedule the replacement. Not the case. Service Pros/Lowes is not honoring the warranty and continuing to try and close out work orders.
What it seems like is they're sandbagging and a deliberate attempt by Lowe's/Service Pros to let the warranty run out instead of honoring the warranty and fixing the poor install. I am beyond frustrated and disappointed by this entire process. This is supposed to be a home improvement store. Instead, they have devalued my home.

We have placed a dryer online on January 16th, 2024. The dryer was delivered on January 24th, 2024. On January 28th, 2024, after using it for the first time, we noticed that there were loud sand grinding sounds. We called Lowe’s immediately to report the incident and that was the first time we were notified by the customer service agent that major appliances only have 48 hours to report damages for refund/return/replacement. We were referred by customer service to contact Samsung and filed a warranty service request. The technician came and determined that the physical damage in the top left corner is the reason causing the sand grinding sound that occurred during shipping/moving.
We were also informed today by the technician that Samsung will only cover manufactured warranty but NOT physical damages caused during the shipping and handling. I went to Lowe’s right afterward to report and explain the situation and spoke to the Appliances Manager, Maria. She told me that Lowe’s has a 48 hours return policy. Although explaining the cause of the sound reported by the Samsung technician and Maria admitted the dryer did show physical damage, she claims Lowe's will still not be able to replace or return the item. The only way Lowe’s will return/refund is to have Samsung providing the Return Authorization and we will have to physically bring the dryer to the store. I informed her again that Samsung doesn’t cover any physical damages caused during the shipment process. She then said she saw the physical damage, and Lowe’s will only able to give us a “discount” for the physical damage and that’s it.
Basically, Lowe's won't do anything and tells us that there’s nothing the company can do after receiving a damaged product and the consumer will just bear the cost. I purchased this appliance brand new online and the manager saw and admitted the physical damage and is willing to give a “discount” but not able to replace the damaged product? The 48-hour major appliances return policy is this important but not listed on each page of the major appliance page to inform the customers that they only have 48 hours to report. We simply want this damaged product to be replaced. Being a consumer, we have the right to receive an “undamaged and undefective product.”

My new stove touchscreen stopped sensing after three months so I gave Lowe's warranty a call. OH BOY! How unprofessional these people are that work for Lowe's! They gave me a technician and appointment. Okay, I thought we are going to fix the problem. That was December! Today is February 14, 2024, and still it has not been done! The first technician lugged me around for two weeks and was a no-show! The second technician came and ordered a new screen, and I waited again two weeks for him to return to install it. He came and installed it, and it still didn't work!
So, he went to order another piece. He was sloppy and clearly was guessing at what the problem could be. Let me tell you he was nowhere to be found. He made two appts with us and didn't show. Frustrated we called Lowe's Warranty again and explained that they were very unprofessional. So, they called another technician company, and they made an appt. Now mind you I told this technician that I needed them to be punctual and guess what. They give me a call saying they can't make it either! We give Lowe's Warranty company another call.
This male named Houston picks up and he's apparently working from home. He's got a rooster howling in the background and he tells us he can't hear us as we try to explain our situation. When my husband asks to talk to a supervisor, he says no he can't do that!! I urge my husband to please hang up and we will call again to speak to someone better. This guy is like, "I can't hear you; I can't hear you, I'm going to hang up," five, six times. I literally looked at my husband and said they are hiring anyone off the street! I try to call again to get someone else and a lady with a thick accent answers the phone. I believe she was **.
When my husband asks her to speak to a supervisor, she says, "No, that's not how it works!" They try to be sympathetic to your problem yet help you zero, they just want to throw you to the next person. My husband is literally going to go to Lowe's to complain in person because on the phone they mistreat you. I plead to anyone who reads this. Whatever you do don't pick LOWE'S for your next appliance and do not buy their warranty. Nowadays appliances are made cheap yet sell expensive and this new technology they install them with are horrible. Touchscreens are terrible and to replace them if they stop working is hell and expensive. The problem is still unresolved!

On Feb 13th, received word that parts are in BUT service is 2 weeks out. We told Lowes we can no longer wait and want a new dryer. Ordered a new refrigerator from Lowe’s on a Wednesday morning shortly after opening. Salesperson was great, in/out 20-25 minutes, delivery scheduled for next day. The prior Tuesday evening I returned home from vacation to find my refrigerator thermostat had stopped working; my house smelled like more than a few dead animals & I had lost over $400-500 worth of mostly frozen food plus all the refrigerator condiments, etc. Turned the heat up, opened doors, dragged big garbage can to front steps & threw out all the contents; then spent 2 hours scrubbing & cleaning the floors. Finished that, cleaned myself up, changed, ate peanut butter & crackers because other smells nauseated me.
Spent the evening looking online for refrigerator; I did not want a more expensive one because I’m moving in the spring but I wanted it to be counter depth, have an ice maker & be stainless steel to keep with the other appliances (if new owners didn’t like it, they could always use as second frig & move it to garage; my house will be “as is” - but is turn-key.) Lowe's had best one for the price but delivery was over week out so I went in to the store first thing in the morning; told salesperson what I wanted but I needed next day or 2 day delivery. He checked computer & said it was available for next day delivery, SOLD, went about my day, picked up some food for 2 days, bags of ice, all for beach cooler in garage. Although I’m 74, I could do the in/out (only external access to garage) for a day.
When I didn’t receive a call that night (Wednesday) with delivery time, I went online early next morning, before the store opened & found delivery tracking information that said delivery would be after the 15th-16th. This would not work at all. When I called the store, salesperson tried other stores, etc, to no avail. He was unable to offer another item comparably priced & transferred me to assistant manager who had nothing but “these things happen.” Called Lowe’s corporate & received more word salad about “these things happen.”
I explained that as I was expecting a new refrigerator the next day & had not only bought food that I had to store in beach bag outside of the house, if that temperatures were going up to the 50s & that IF Lowe’s computer inventory & delivery system had been correctly updated, I would have gone to other stores looking for best delivery & price; now it was Thursday & how could I get delivery with a weekend coming. Lowe’s could have cared less. They had a knowledgeable salesperson who had been with Lowe’s 18 years but he had only the computer system they provided him so there is no blame on him. It is Lowe’s who failed both him & me, and backed it up with the worse customer concern you could get from a well known, well advertised store. And then these stores, like Lowe’s, wonder why we don’t shop local & order from online retailers - who usually offer the same products at deeper discounts.

I would never order anything from Lowes again because they do not care about their customers. You cannot even talk with a manager. They say call the store. The issue is I order the items through Lowes Website and they did not give me a choice to send the parts to my house. They forced me to pick a store so I picked one that was the closet. Now they tell me corp is not responsible I have to work with store. Why is that when I ordered them from Lowes, not the store. Just another way they can give you the run around and take no responsibility screw the customer. You cannot even call cooperate to log a complaint. Not a good way to run a company. We asked to return it since it was a damaged product and they refused to take it back and instead wanted Coleman (the manufacturer) to repair, with us paying the delivery charge. After doing so and sending to a recommended shop by Coleman, the cart remains unfixed with Coleman and Lowe's fighting over whose fault. We are frustrated with false advertising about the return policy, the poor assembly and the lack of help by the store personnel. We want our money back and will never do business with Lowe’s. I resubmitted and it was repeated. For a third time, I submitted using a different code, found on the receipt - guessing perhaps, this is what they wanted. It was accepted for a third time. They stated that on Feb. 3, the rebate status would be available online. You can search by phone number, address or confirmation number. NONE worked. It's almost 4:30 p.m. I should point out that they never could find my information by phone number or address and by confirmation number - nothing happens. Their website ignores the request.
I should also point out that in a few days, it will be THREE MONTHS that I have been waiting for the Circulon cookware. I read another review about it being a nightmare and figured it was just a fluke. It's no fluke. They make it time-consuming and frustrating hoping we will go away and forget about it. Received a brand new refrigerator from Lowe's. Within a week noticed ice crystals forming in the freezer. The doors are both crooked, possibly allowing air to get past the seal. Was told they had to pick up unit, refund the purchase, and then make provisions to bring me a new one, which is all I asked for. What am I supposed to do with the food waiting for them to deliver a new replacement refrigerator? Why couldn't they just bring a replacement? Was told they don't do it like that anymore. I am not sure if it was the installers or the warehouse. 4) It took 2 months to get a wall oven and install it, after 3 times of scheduling problems. 4) Unless everything is perfect, these installers will not do anything to fix an existing "simple" problem like having the right "t" in their truck. 5) Installers never call you the night before to confirm. Only half an hour before they arrive they call. Totally unacceptable. 6) If you call them to complain, all they have is "I am sorry sir".. Stay away from Lowes and their supposed Premium Cabinets Schuler. They do not care about their customers. I tried to contact the President via email and continued to copy him on every email I sent throughout this entire ordeal. Never once did he respond or have anyone with authority contact me that was serious about resolving my issue. The quality of the cabinets is very poor and built incorrect. The work performed was for complete cabinets in the kitchen with appliance including a double oven, microwave, and dishwasher. Original order date was October 2021. Due to availability the initial install was set for May 2022. Several of the cabinets that came in were damaged and had to be reordered. Once the installers finally got here to install the cabinets they noticed several problems with the product.
At this point our entire kitchen had already been demolished and was unusable so they installed the product anyway. Our microwave had not come in either so we had to wait on that. Lowes had to have many of the cabinets remade and sent the manufacturer rep by our house to look at the quality of the product. At that time they agreed to send out a company to correct the paint and stain once they got the cabinets corrected. Over the course of the next year and a half I have been working with Lowes Executive Support to try and get some resolution. They continued to send in cabinets that were damaged.
The last set of cabinets that were sent in damaged were supposed to be reordered but we found out they never were. I sent a list of all of the issues with pictures to Lowes on several different occasions and they recognize they are at fault. They tried to send us a resolution for $3,000 but that doesn't even cover the cost of paint and stain. There are still cabinets that need to be install and fixed that were built incorrectly and of substandard quality. The settlement offer I sent to Lowe's $12,505 which is the cost for all of the damaged product.
This project cost us almost $43,000 and Lowes has not fulfilled their obligation to complete the work with a quality finish. The gas stove top that was installed had the wrong orifices installed so the flames almost burned my daughter when she tried to cook. The paint on the doors has poor coverage and the primer is showing through. Very dissatisfied with and would highly discourage anyone from using Lowes. I am just getting this posted now because I have been trying diligently to work through Lowes to resolve these issues.

Based on my experience, Lowe’s Installation Services is utterly incompetent and don’t care about customers. It all started with my getting quotes for the replacement of a pre-hung exterior door at my home. I got 3 quotes, Lowe’s was slightly lower cost than the other two quotes and I thought using a national chain store might have better customer service and support than the other quotes I received. Boy was I wrong.
Lowe’s came out to my home, took measurements and wrote up the quote. I told the guy from Lowe’s that the door needed to look and be installed just like the door being replaced. He said that would be no problem. Lowe’s doesn’t do any of the actual installation work themselves – they farm it all out to third parties. Two weeks after I accepted the Lowe’s quote, the installation company came to my home and measured the door again and then the door was ordered. Three weeks later, I got an email saying the door was going to be delayed – so ok, another week delay was something I was getting used to in dealing with Lowe’s. A couple of weeks later I got a couple of different emails saying that the door was going to be delivered and giving me dates and time windows that I had to be home for delivery – but the door was never delivered.
Then the installation company called me again wanting to come out and measure again… I thought that was odd given that they had already been out to my home, measured the door and the replacement door was scheduled to be delivered. When the guy from the installation company came out to measure the second time, he was muttering something about the door was the wrong size… he didn’t elaborate and seemed to leave my home in a hurry. So now I’m getting really concerned. I started calling Lowe’s Installation Services. They were polite but knew nothing about the job status, about the installation company or anything else. Their answer was always “I will contact the store”. I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told “we don’t have supervisors”.
When I asked who else I could speak with, the Lowe’s Installation Services rep said I could contact Lowe’s Customer Care. So, I did and that turned out to be just as much of a waste of time as talking to Lowe’s Installation Services. Lowe’s Customer Care knew nothing about the job, the installation company or much of anything else.
At this point, I’m really concerned. I’ve already paid for this work in full – as Lowe’s required. I don’t have the replacement door, it hasn’t been installed, I’m getting the royal run around and I’m out $3,600. I decided to go to the local store to talk to the store manager. I was told that the manager was not in but I did speak with an assistant store manager named Timothy. He was apologetic and uncharacteristically honest and forthright (compared to everyone else I had dealt with). He told me he had learned the door was measured wrong and that it was too small for the door opening in my home.
When I asked him what the plan was to fix this situation, he paused and it was obvious that Lowe’s didn’t have a plan. We discussed cancelling the order and he acknowledged that was within my rights. In hindsight, I wish I had done that as things were only going to get worse from here out. But I told Timothy I would give him 24 hours to come up with a plan and review it with me.
Timothy called back the next day – apologized again and outlined a plan to “try again”; i.e. have the installation company measure again and complete the work. Reluctantly and, in hindsight stupidly, I agreed. A full week later, the installation company came out to remeasure. I “assumed” that the door had been reordered at that point. But another full week later, I received an email from the Lowe’s rep who came to my home originally. It was a “CYA” email basically saying that the replacement door jamb width was not going to be the same as my existing door and they would have to “modify” the installation and he was asking for my “approval” of these modifications. I responded to his email that unless he could be much more specific on what these “modifications” were going to be and what they would look like then to just cancel the order and immediately refund my money.
I waited two full weeks and never received a response from Lowe’s. I was done with trying to reason with Lowe’s. I “assumed” that they cancelled the order and issued the refund but my online credit card account didn’t show a credit. So, I went back to Lowe’s one last time. I asked 6 times to talk to the store manager while 4 different assistant store managers tried to answer my questions. The store manager Evan ** finally showed his face for all of 20 seconds – apologized for my experience but it was clear he couldn’t care less about me or the horrible experience I had been through thanks to Lowe’s utter incompetence. I waited in that store for an hour and 45 minutes for them to cancel the order and issue me a credit. An hour and 45 minutes. Ten weeks of utter frustration and as of this writing I’m still fighting with Lowe’s credit card company to refund me. I’ll never step foot in a Lowe’s store again.

I was at Lowe's in Fayetteville Arkansas today and had my worst experience ever at a Lowe's. In the past I've bought many appliances from them, bought materials to build a house, finish the interior of a steel building and much more. Today I was just trying to buy a few materials and could not get anyone to wait on me. The people working there would not even acknowledge my presence there. They were busy but could have spoken to me and let me know that they would get to me as soon as they could. But no. I was invisible and treated as though my business didn't matter to them. Apparently, they get paid regardless of customer satisfaction.
I had to request help and even then the communication was so poor I wasn't told where I was to find the person called to help me. When I wasn't where he thought I should be he went on about his business and blew it off. I had to go track him down. By then I was so livid I just didn't want to be there. I made it clear at the checkout counter this was my worst ever Lowe's experience after many years of doing business with Lowe's. I'm glad I found out the state of customer service at the Fayetteville Lowe's. I'm getting ready to start a remodel and I'll be looking for a home improvement store that has decent customer service.

I went into the store to purchase a washer and dryer. I selected the LG WM3400CW front loader washer. During the purchase sales order ** the sales associate asked if I needed to have them haul away any washer and dryers at my home. I told them no. It wasn't until I went to customer service to pay for the appliance that I found out that I had been charged $100 to haul away appliances. The associate clearly didn't listen to what I said.
The appliance was delivered to my home 2 days later and when the LG WM3400CW front loader washer was installed an error code "LE" which indicates defective motor appeared. I went back to the Cornelia Georgia store where I purchased the appliance and went to the customer service desk. After I explained the problem to the Customer Service associate they asked if I brought the appliance back to the store. I said "No I paid for delivery and didn't have a way to return the appliance". They said that it was their policy to not offer a refund unless I returned the appliance. I escalated to the Assistant Store manager and he was helpful in processing the return and replacement.
Two days later I received a call from the Delivery company that they were coming to pick up my defective washer. I asked if they had my replacement and they said No. I asked why and they said it was Lowes policy that they only provide replacement appliances once they have received the defective unit back and had processed the return. I said that this was terrible for the customer and now I have to wait even longer to get my washer.
When the driver arrived to pick up my defective washer he told me to call into the customer service center later that night to ask about my replacement. I called later that evening as he said and the customer service center said they had not received the appliance and for me to call back the next day. I called back the next day and the customer service center said they had received the appliance back and would have to process the return and schedule the delivery.
Through this experience I have realized that the customer is not important to Lowes and that their processes need to be overhauled to put the customer first. As you can see I received a defective washer from LG which calls into question their quality system and how a washer with a defective motor could pass their quality testing. Also why does the Lowes customer have to wait and make multiple calls to get a replacement. Any company that cares about their customer would initiate the delivery of a replacement washer at the same time they pick up a defective unit and not make the customer wait. The next time I need to purchase an appliance or major purchase, I will not select Lowes even though they are located very close to my home.

I got a notice from my bank this morning that Lowe's had tried to pass a large charge through my checking account. I ordered a refrigerator on November 17 and got an approval for a buy now pay later loan through Synchrony Lowes bank. I never received any information about Synchrony account such as an account number or any type of log-in information. I received a notice for a delivery reschedule for January 5. Apparently the refrigerator shipped from who knows where yesterday so Lowes was able charge me. Now here is the kicker, Synchrony will not pay on invoices that are for orders older than 30 days. When the fridge was backordered I was not notified of the looming credit issue. So Lowes tried to get the money out of my checking.
After spending three hours on the phone and online customer service, I talked to 11 people, I was able to figure out what the problem was. I can’t be the only person who has had this issue. Bottom line is Lowes could/would not issue credit for the order. The best they could offer was to cancel my current order and have me go through the credit application/purchase all over from the beginning which would probably end up in another backorder. I cancelled the order. I am upset by the total lack of communication from Lowes regarding the credit issue since the purchase. I am upset about the overdraft charge from my bank. I am upset about having to live out of a mini fridge since Nov. 17 and essentially be in the same predicament I was then. I can’t believe Lowes is aware of the Synchrony policy and hasn’t done anything to work it out.
Then there is Lowes customer service. The AI system would more appropriately be called artificial stupidity and made it very difficult to contact to a human. The human agents were undertrained and forwarded me into oblivion and wrong departments. I was finally able to get somewhere through Synchrony because I have another account there. What a colossal waste of time. Worst of all. There is refrigerator floating around the Lowes system with my name on it and they can’t figure out how to get it to me. What a bunch of morons. You can’t even send them an EMAIL to complain.

I purchased a Hisense Refrigerator on Nov 11, 2022 and purchased the extended warranty. Refrigerator stopped working Dec 4, 2023 and put in service order. Repair tech had to order a compressor and the 2 computer panels for this refrigerator. On Dec 18th I contacted Lowes Protection to find out status of the repair. I was informed parts can take 7 to 10 business days to received. I was advised I could submit a food spoilage claim for $300 but opted to wait until refrigerator was repaired as I had no place for any food purchased. On Dec 19th a Lowe's credit showed up in my email inbox for the purchase price of the refrigerator only. I called Lowes Protection Plan on Dec 21st to question why I had not received a refund also for the sales tax.
I found out they only refund the price of the product purchased. I then questioned about submitting a claim for the food spoilage and was told it would be denied as I they received the refund on the purchase price of the refrigerator. So now I'm out the sales tax and $300 to help purchase food. I've have found out Hisense is a product from China and considered a disposable product. So at least I should consider myself lucky I got the price of the refrigerator back. With the extended warranty I would have been out of luck. I am purchasing a new refrigerator from a local small business appliance store with full service. I will no longer buy any appliances from Lowes or other big box stores.

I went to the Paso Robles Lowe’s to get a screen door and have them install it and I still have no door nor has anyone called to follow up, though I’ve called and spoken to Brandon and Don, who both promised to follow up but have not. In the meantime, I am still paying for this door on my Lowe’s card for services never performed. First they tell me it’s the wrong door that they ordered and will have to “special order” it and that the guy who came to measure didn’t get the right measurements. Mind you, I paid $40 for this measurement. Then no one calls me to schedule the install when the door comes in but the “installer”, named Christian, calls Dec 1 to say he’s coming to install my door and I have things to do so I ask if he can come later and he says perhaps but he has to talk to his boss to see if he can come do it on a Saturday.
Then he calls back and says he doesn’t think the door is going to work and has to go back to the store and ask the guy to show him how to install the door? What? You’re an installer and you don’t know how to install a screen door? But he never followed up. So I called Lowe’s on Dec 8 and spoke to Brandon who promised to follow up and apologizes for the delays and substandard service. I never hear from him again. Then on Dec 11 I called and ask to speak to the head manager and I speak to Don who hears my complaints, apologizes, and promises to follow up and I never hear from him again, either.
Today I called Lowe’s and spoke to someone at corporate installation support, explain my issue, and request my work be cancelled and I am given a full refund for product and work (installation) never received. This is inexcusable and perhaps Lowe’s can afford to lose customers. I am frustrated and would suggest no one uses this Lowe’s store in Paso Robles, unless you want to go through months of frustration as I have.

First I want to say that the personnel at the Lowe’s Store (Store #714) in E. Mesa on Higley Rd were very helpful and courteous. Both ** and ** are their names. Unfortunately I can’t not make the same claim about the personnel that answers the 800 number for Lowe’s Installation service, or the company Lowe’s subcontracts out the installation to (CRST) or the company CRST eventually subcontracts the project to known only as AVT LLC.
My experience with trying to get the dishwasher installed that I purchased on 11/24/2023 at the above store has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. The installation was to happen on 12/07/2023 between the hours on 9 AM to Noon. I received a phone call from someone during on 12/07/2023 at approximately 930 am saying they called in sick and I would have to reschedule the installation. When asking about another installer completing the installation. The person hung up on me.
I then rescheduled to 12/13/2023 and was informed from Lowe’s installation 800 number that I will be contacted between 6-9 pm on 12/12/2023 about the installation window. I never received a call or text that night. I had to find out the next day (after several calls and texts) that the installation window was to happen between 2 pm to 5 pm.
After 5 pm on 12/13/2023, since no one contacted me I had to contact CRST and was informed that the installer “hurt his back getting the dishwasher and was seeking medical treatment” and I would have to reschedule again. When speaking with Jeff at the Lowe’s store #715, no one filed any report of any injury that day and he had no knowledge of this incident happening.
I was then informed by CRST after contacting them again, that the installation would be “expedited”, however the earliest I could get installation would be 12/21/2023. I find this whole experience with Lowe’s installation team and CRST, extremely unprofessional and frustrating. I then contacted Lowe’s store #714 and requested that they just deliver the dishwasher to my residence and I would contact another company to install the dishwasher thus eliminating 2 subcontractors (CRST and AVT LLC) since Lowe’s installation team, along with the subcontractors either could not or would not install the dishwasher. Really did not want to take off another day of work to have the installer cancel again.

I purchased 7 boxes of laminate flooring for my kitchen at the Lakeland Highlands, Fl store. The contractor opened the first 3 boxes, and all were bad. Someone must have returned prior and boxes were resealed and placed back in inventory. Lowe's refused to credit me. I explained the contractors hired and credit card used were for my husband, a disabled Vet.
The Assistant Manager, Richard, refused to acknowledge a refund/exchange. The cost of each box was just over $100.00. I will never use Lowe's again and have informed everyone, including contractors. Absolutely deplorable and despicable. I will also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Protection. Several other home improvements awaiting, however, the Home Depot will now receive my business, neighbors, and my contractors as well!

I ordered a storm door through Lowe's in Jacksonville, NC on Western Blvd. They sent out someone to do the measurements, the guy was unprofessional and seemed to be bothered that he had to measure the door. I went back to the store to select the storm door. I ordered the door and paid for it on the spot. I was told that I would be contacted when the door arrived and schedule a date for installation. The door arrived at the store and we set the install date for 8 Dec 2023 between the hours of 11 am and 2 pm. I took off from work to make myself available for the installation. After a few hours of sitting and waiting and not hearing anything, I called Lowe's to get an ETA for the door installers. At that time I was told that the door ordered would not fit and there would not be an install done today. When asked why was I not notified promptly, Lowe's said that Lou (Lowe's door department worker) should have notified me (he did not).
I requested to speak with a manager and was connected to Chris (Asst. Manager). I explained the situation, and Chris was apologetic and assured me the situation would be rectified as the installer would contact me to fix the situation. I never received a call from the installer, but I did receive a call from Lou, who apologized, and passed the buck by saying the installer should have called and let me know (never happened). Three days have gone by and I still haven't received my door which I paid for 2 months ago, nor have I heard anything from Lowe's or the contractor. Lowe's has wasted my time, they still have my money, and no compensation or consideration for missing work. Total incompetence and unprofessionalism! Do yourself a favor and get your hardware and home improvement items from a different company that won't waste your time and truly value you as a customer.

I used Lowe's to install new windows. The window installation seemed to go fine, but when the crew went to replace the inside trim they did a terrible, unprofessional job--On several windows the trim corners didn't meet; on two the trim isn't even nailed fully into the wall (but caulked heavily around); hammer marks were left in the trim wood; caulk is everywhere. I contacted Lowe's and they had the subcontractors come back to fix the trim, and though some windows look a bit better, there was much that was not fixed. Now I am sanding and painting to try and make the trim look like it did before the replacement. Just terrible. I would not recommend using Lowe's for window installation.

I’ve been shopping at Lowe’s for several years. Their store is 30 minutes away, so I make a list, follow it and usually I leave with everything I need. My particular satisfaction is with the lumber department. They have the prices clearly marked at my store, there’s typically a good selection of boards to pick from and all the hardware for the boards, like nails screws and hangers is right close by. Five minutes in the store and there’s someone right there offering to help, unlike a competitor who is also close by this store and has no customer service and no appreciation for their customers. Thank you Lowes for being there. I’ve survived a major flood that totally destroyed my house and an EF 3 tornado that nearly destroyed everything again, rebuilding both times with your material. If I could give negative stars I would. Lowe's was prime contractor for replacing siding after a storm. The subcontractor they had used too short of nails (siding coming away from house), cut too short at corners, left yard full of nails, I could go on and on. We called Lowes and they refused to take any responsibility to make it right. Feel screwed because can’t afford to tear off and reinstall (what needs done) so we’re stuck with crappy siding for 20 years. Run far away from Lowes, find a local contractor.

On Nov 5, 2023 I purchased a hot water tank from Lowe's. It was an AO Smith gas 30 gallon hot water heater. On Nov 30, 2023 the pilot light went out and it would not re light. I finally found the little wire on the coupler that is some kind of a breaker and I flipped that after calling AO Smith and it would light back up but as soon as the tank would get hot and it was supposed to go back to just the pilot being on it would shut down again.
I called AO Smith and they were very rude and did not want to help. They kept asking me if I installed it properly and how many feet of exhaust pipe I had above the tank and basically didn't want to help. I said I have only had the tank less than 30 days and it's already shutting off and not working. I also purchased the extended warranty from Lowe's and Lowe's will not touch it until the AO smith warranty runs out. AO Smith wants to send out a repair man but they will not tell me who the repair man or company is going to be and they cannot tell me a time outside of a 8 hour window.
Also they want my credit card number pre inspection, so they can charge me for any issues that do not fall under warranty items. This hot water heater is less than 30 days old and it doesn't work. What could possibly not be under warranty. Then they told me if it was installed wrong then the warranty would be void, but they cannot tell me what would be considered, "installing wrong" I mean you can't put it in upside down. And there are only two places where you can hook up water and there is only one place to hook up the gas line.
So once again AO Smith is just trying to avoid replacing another faulty water heater. I wish I would have read the reviews prior to purchasing or I would not have purchased an AO Smith anything. There are numerous complaints exactly like mine. Water heaters fail in the first few months and then AO Smith will not warranty the repairs. Lowe's will not answer questions either they just refer you to AO Smith and the circle continues.

Lowe's Home Improvement offered Halite Ice Melt (50 lbs.). I needed 10 bags and went online. The Dublin, Ohio store reported having more than 600 bags. I appreciate Lowe's Military Discount, having served in the mid-1970s, so I placed a curbside pickup order for last Saturday (12/2/2023). The curbside agent brought 10 50-pound bags of salt, most of which appeared to be damp (which, in my experience, presents the real risk that when it's cold outside those bags will be crusted with ice and will not pour into a spreader). When he started loading the bags I saw he wasn't loading what I ordered. He insisted what he was loading was what I ordered but when I showed him the picture of my order he acknowledged he had not brought out the product I ordered. He said he did so because the SKU for the wrong brand was the same as what I had ordered.
When I asked that he bring out the product I actually ordered, he said his manager told him there were no bags of what I ordered in stock. I canceled the order but not before the Lowe's Curbside Pickup app flashed that I had now received my order. That credit card charge has since been reversed. My point is the website offered a specific product; it said there was a sufficient supply on hand; and when I got to the curb the agent switched the product, denied he had switched anything - insisting that what he had was what I ordered (it was clearly not), and before we were done Lowe's sent a message stating that I had picked up the order.
Here's what Lowe's sent, while I was waiting to receive what turned out to be a different product than what I had ordered: "The items below have been picked up. Thank you for shopping at Lowe’s! We recently moved from Texas to N.C. into a house that didn't have a fenced yard although we have a dog. The first week after the move, we got bids to install a simple vinyl picket fence. I stressed with the estimator/salesman from Lowe's that getting it installed quickly was a priority and I was assured that it would be installed within 1 to 2 weeks of signing the contract and was then given "estimated" dates for that time frame.
A week after the scheduled start date and no activity or contact from Lowe's, I called Lowe's installation department and was told that it didn't know when the work would start and that it was the installer's (Lowe's subcontractor) and/or the manufacturer's issue. When asked where the estimated start dates came from, I was given various stories from different Lowe's employees which didn't match, The salesman finally admitted that the dates in the contract were his "guess" and that no one had actually verified when the product would be available from the manufacturer. They finally told me the work would start on 12/11/23.
Today, I was told they would give me "an update" (but not a start date) on 12/19. Consequently, I still don't have a firm installation date though Lowe's continues to sit on my money. I selected Lowe's because I thought they were reputable and would not misrepresent its capabilities. It's clear to me that it was simply interested in selling me a bag of goods without any intention of doing what it agreed to do.

The installer could not come to measure until 10/6. We did not hear anything until 10/16 and then was told would be 2 days to get scheduled. Still did not hear anything until I called Lowe's on 10/28. The installer claims he never got the work order and would call me by 11/1. Still heard nothing til 11/4 and was scheduled for 11/21. Day of install the installer called and claimed could not work because of weather and rescheduled for 11/24. I did not hear anything until the afternoon of 11/24 when the installer called and claimed his truck broke down.
I called Lowe's and asked for another installer and got the runaround. It's almost December and my house is freezing and still no doors or an install date. Lowe's and their installers will drag their feet at every turn. I will never shop with them again. Purchased a gas range on Saturday, salesperson told us delivery on Wednesday. At checkout, the cashier said it would be deliver on Tuesday according to his computer. He checked the box for Tuesday on his computer without checking with anyone. On Monday the delivery service called and confirmed Tuesday delivery between 8 and 12. On Tuesday at 1 we called delivery because we had not heard anything and no delivery was made. Delivery informed us that the range was not loaded for delivery and the store should have contacted us. Called the store and spoke with the delivery scheduler who said it was not in stock at the store and said we needed to speak with the salesperson. Call was to be transferred but scheduler came back to phone and said the salesperson was busy and would call us.
At 3:30 called and asked to speak to the salesperson who answered the phone and immediately asked if we would wait and sat the phone down. Twenty minutes later she came back to the phone and asked if we were still there. Stated that the delivery was supposed to come from the Pittsburgh warehouse on Wednesday but when the cashier changed delivery to Tuesday that made it a store delivery and since they did not have one in stock at the store the best she could do was have delivered Saturday.
Major issues with how staff handled the entire situation. Cashiers should not unilaterally be changing delivery dates, should be aware of them making changes affects the delivery source, cashiers do not verify with the department the effect of said change, scheduler knew it was not going to be delivered but did not notify us and finally when we spoke with a manager and canceled the order he did not act like he even cared. Later we found out this was not a singular event and has happened to others that purchased appliances at this store. The exact same scenario. My opinion is that it is business as usual at this store and probably Lowe's as a whole.
Not that they care, but this cost them a customer and even more revenue as we went elsewhere. Got the range delivered the next day along with an upright freezer and a new wall oven. We were also going to purchase new quartz countertops but will give our business to other places that respect their customers not just getting dollars on the income statement.
