We have wanted a walk in tub for years. Today was the Best Day Ever!! Our bathroom looks Amazing!!! Our experience with everyone we spoke to at Independent Homes were wonderful and very knowledgeable about their product. This morning the installers called to tell me what time they would be here. They were very courteous and friendly. They answered any questions we had, explained to us in detail. Our installers, David ** and Harold **, were their names and they were very knowledgeable in their work and product. And they even cleaned up after the installation. Wow, what a Great job done!!! We are so excited about our new walk-in tub. We will tell all our friends and anyone we come in contact with about this company and how we were treated. A special thanks to Mitch **, our salesman, that came out to our home. He explained everything to us with such detail. Again, thanks to all involved. Thank you, Independent Homes!!

We got good service from the Independent Home dealer. All options were explained very well. The installation team did a good job and they were very professional. We just had to do a bit of clean up when they finished, but it was okay. The tub has the hydrotherapy and the whirlpool, and it is of excellent quality. I would highly recommend Independent Home.

I went for Independent Home given the quality of their product and the dealer where I purchased the tub from did a really good job. I got the model that suits the special needs that I particularly have. The installation team was fantastic, very professional and very helpful. They explained to me what was going on, how the unit worked, and I was very pleased. I’m really excited about using my tub.

I've dealt with Independent Home's equipment and it was a little higher quality than the others, which made me go with them. The rep I spoke with was very nice and did a pretty good job of explaining my options to me. The installers did a very nice job. That kind of work was going to make a bit of a mess, but they were very good at cleaning everything up and keeping the house as clean as possible. The model I got had the features that I wanted. And I like the massage features very well, but it's very hard to take a regular bath. My recommendation for anybody getting Independent Home is that you need two restrooms in your house so that you can have one regular tub for taking a regular bath and then the other one for the massage stuff.

Someone came to my door and was nice as he explained my options with Independent Home. I liked that the walk-in tub fit the space that we have. The installation was nice and the people did a good job, especially getting the old part out and rebuilding the floor under there. It was a sunken tub that they took out so they had to put a little floor in. But the thing about it is where the floor joins the carpet because it's all in the bedroom. The vacuum has torn all the carpet that was there and caused the carpet to fray and shred. Maybe we would need a plastic strip or a metal strip to put that along between the hard floor and the carpet to keep it from coming up.

My husband and I LOVE our new walk in tub. It is HUGE! Just what we wanted. The installers did a great job. They installed new flooring and a hot water tank for us. I am really glad we went with Independent Home.

The installers Dean and Alex were persistent in sharing the steps they would take as they installed the tub and all of its parts to ensure that it worked. They were careful to make sure I understood and also to take care not to harm my house environment. My lesson on how to use was demonstrated very well with questions answered as well. It was a delight to meet Dean and Alex. They were an excellent duo. They are very knowledgeable and confident about their job. I am pleased... very pleased with my tub and with the installers.

I had the perception that Independent Home had equivalent quality and significantly lower price compared to other companies. I had a positive experience with their dealer. The tub I bought had more than I needed but it was the right combination for the price the rep offered. The installation team was of good quality and they very well cleaned up after themselves . However, I'm redoing the bathroom so they weren't taking it back to a pristine state. They were taking it to an in-between state. Independent Home forgot to send the side panel along with the tub and now, I have the side panel, but it's still not installed. I called Independent Home before I left on a trip, but they didn't arrive. We had not touched base since so I have a feeling I fell off their radar screens. Nonetheless, I've been thoroughly enjoying the tub so far. I'd recommend Independent Home.

I had a hard time trying to get in and out of a regular tub. I have a sciatic nerve that goes down my leg. I was afraid of falling and not being able to get out and get help. When the Independent Home salesman was in the area, he stopped by and explained the tub to me. I then decided to get it. I really love that it's low and I can just walk in and out. The installation went really well. It took the installers all day to do, but they did a good job. They also told me that if anything went bad, to give their company a call or to call them directly and they could get a hold of the company.

I liked the quality and the whole idea of Independent Home, and I got a specific model for its price and what it had. The installation went very well and the installers were on time. They seemed to know what they were doing and the service was good.

My momma turned 97 yesterday and could not get in my tub and shower. I needed something for her and listening to what was on TV, I chose Independent Home. Everybody was really nice when we were buying the tub and the installation was fine. We both have a hard time getting in and out of the tub, but we can make it. My momma can get in and take a shower now. In fact, she took a shower and washed her hair yesterday. I just wish they could make the tub lower when they make more in the near future. Nonetheless, we like it.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience when Independent Home reps showed up. I liked their knowledge. After the purchase of their walk-in tub, the installation went smoothly. The installers knew what they were doing and they had it in in less than five hours. But we wanted the door to come out instead of go in. We didn’t realize that after they had installed the walk-in tub. Due to that, my husband can't use it but I do. I like everything about the tub. It has the air bubbles, the water vent, and the shower.

The installers were very professional and very courteous and considerate to our needs. They did a very good job on the install. We enjoyed having them in our home and enjoyed the work done. We had people from Independent Home come out. And after checking on the internet, they seemed to be a good company. We used them and had a very good experience with everybody connected to the business. Our options were explained well enough. We also liked that the walk-in tub fits perfectly in our shower area. The installers did the very best job. It looks like the walk-in tub was originally built into the house. They even had to move a wall. I have someone very elderly here and the walk-in tub gives him a wonderful place to sit and have a shower without being on a little shower stool. It works very well. It’s easy for me to help him with whatever he needs. It’s a very big improvement. It's been a very nice experience.

Independent Home has a pretty good tub and I chose a specific model for its jet thera and quick drain features. I had a real good purchasing experience. The installation took almost a whole day and the installer did a real good job with it as well as cleaning up after. I like the tub's quality real good.

We were looking for Walk in tub for my grandmother who is 100 years young and we have had Safe Step in the past. She has never been thrilled with it. Safe Step also took too long to install and too long to fill up and drain. My grandmother would freeze waiting for it to fill and drain. We stumbled on this company Independent Home. So glad we did. They have been more than super awesome. They are kind, efficient, patient and hardworking. They installed my grandmother's walk-in tub in a day less than 6 hours. No shortcuts either. They were very professional, polite, clean and no mess left behind.

The installers did a wonderful job on the install. The work and craftsmanship was wonderful. The whole team at Independent Home were fantastic. The installers walked us through on how to work our new spa. All in all would recommend.

I saw a number on TV for Independent Home and called them. The interaction with the sales rep was wonderful. I got the walk-in tub with the door that swings inside. The guy came in, told me what was gonna happen and I wrote him a check. They did the work and everything worked out fine. The installers showed me how it work. I had a pretty good idea because I was looking through the paperwork as they were putting it in and I knew what buttons did what. He showed me that and a couple of days later, I got in it myself and I enjoyed the hell out of it. I just kicked back and let that bogey go. I especially like the shower. In the tub, I'm afraid to stand up, afraid of falling down but with this, I got the handle bars to hang on to and it's better. Also, my favorite feature is the in-line heater. The circulation of the water keeps the warm temperature.

The possibility of my mother having to move in with us made me interested in getting a walk-in tub. She’s 78 years old, and she has a hard time getting in and out of the tub. When I spent most of the last winter with her in Indiana, she was complaining to me that one of her biggest issues at her own home was the fact that she had a hard time taking a bath. She didn't want me helping, yet she wanted her back washed and whatnot, so she had to sit on the edge of the tub. She was talking about how much that hurt her bottom.

I was thinking about a walk-in tub and I already talked to a person that had done some work for us and he came and told me all the kind of things that would have to be done, and so I ended up deciding not to do a walk-in tub. This was about six months before I found out about Independent Home. When the rep from Independent Home came, it was later on in the day and he took all the time in the world. He was fantastic, very patient and he explained very well.

Independent Home's rep came out, spent the evening with us, and showed us all the literature. His name was Doug and we enjoyed our visit with him. He was a neat guy and very personable. We also liked the tub and decided to go with it. We had a little problem with the installation though. We were under the impression that there’d be more than one guy who'd come in to install the tub. Plus, there was a problem with it. But the guy was some worker and he did a good job. The installation just took him longer than he was expecting it to take him because of the problem with the little thing that works the stuff on the tub and he had to replace it.

We saw the need for a walk-in tub so we went ahead and got it. Independent Home's presentation was excellent, the installers were very nice and friendly, and the work was really good. I use a regular tub and I’m not well. Now I don’t have to step over the tub and then wonder if I’m gonna be able to get up after I sit down because it really takes a lot outta me to sit down in that tub and then have to strain to get out. The tub was not cheap, and I had thought later that maybe we should have checked around to see if there was a better price, but I'm very satisfied with the tub.

This company targets senior citizens that are unable to make rational decisions. I found a salesman in my grandmother's house trying to sell her a 10,000 dollar bathroom renovation. An ADA bathroom does not require marble onyx. You can easily find someone to do this at a more affordable price. Please red flag this company.

The installers arrived on time. They were very professional and very clean. They took care of all my possessions and belongings. I think they did a wonderful job. I am very proud of the work and craftsmanship done. They did good.

Independent Home called me about their walk-in bathtub and my experience with them has been very good so far. The installation was also fabulous and the installers did an excellent job.

My wife is handicapped and her back was broken two times. The shower we had where we moved in was too small and you couldn't even bend down. Our sales rep from Independent Home was good. When he came in, he did measurements. We got the lowest model. We didn't get any of the sprays. We just got the one that just has a showerhead and everything else. That’s what we could afford right now. The sales rep said if there’s a problem, they’ll come in and that the installation would only take a couple of hours. He was right. The installers finished it and did a good job.

The Independent Home team did well during the installation of my walk-in tub. I also had an Independent Home walk-in tub in my other house and I really enjoyed it. However, the last time I got in my current tub, I couldn't get the jets to come on. Then, I couldn't get it to go into the wave. And when I tried to get out and turn it off, I couldn't get it to turn off. I thought I was gonna have to crawl out. Finally, I just kept poking until it finally went off. It has been a couple of weeks and I haven't been in it since. I called the installer the other night and told him my problem, but I've not heard from him since. I wouldn't recommend Independent Home.

I'm getting up in age and I was thinking about my safety. I've also been thinking about getting a walk-in tub and Independent Home called me. Then they came out and gave me a good price. The salesman was really nice and explained everything about the tub to me. He was very knowledgeable about the product. Plus, the features he showed me was something I liked. The installation experience was good and the person who installed the tub was very knowledgeable. He also explained everything to me. The salesman already told me the same thing, but he went through all the features of the tub with me. So far, the tub is really soothing when you take a bath. My wife and I enjoy it.

I know walk-in tubs have been out there. I started getting online and I wasn't happy with the original thing. You find out what one costs and no one will tell you, but it's so expensive. I kept researching and I started coming up with the name Independent Home. They were the only one that put on a demonstration, came in and actually had a real sales call. They told us about the top of the line model. The single tub was the only difference and they had multiple person tubs too. We got one that had all the jets, air and ducts. It also had the internal heater that keeps the water 120 degrees and it has the wave, which was their newest model that came out.

I liked the price of Independent Home's walk-in tubs and when I bought one, their sales rep was very nice. And when the guys came in to install it, they did it perfectly and they could not have gotten a better set of guys to work on it. They were wonderful and I recommend them for anything to anybody. Now that I have the tub, I like that I can sit in warm water.

I had a big tub, and I got to where I couldn't get out of it. I had a shower separate from the tub, and I tried using it for a while, but I was so scared I was gonna fall again. It made me a nervous wreck. I don’t like showers. So I got a walk-in tub from Independent Home and the salesman was very nice and helpful. He was real friendly. I told him about some of the other companies that I had talked to and what they offered, and he said he could do that. The installers were so careful about everything. They had to take the thing apart to get it in there because they couldn't get it in. You had to go in one door and kinda bend to the right to get in the next one. They had to take off the door facings, and sand on the wall a little. But they got it all back together and it looked just like it did before. I like the fact that I can sit in the tub on that seat thing. I put in water up far enough on my legs. My legs are so weak and I stumble around all the time, and that helps them.

Somebody called me on the phone and said the Independent Home representative wanted to come and talk. I said that I was not interested, but if he wanted to come, I'd listen because I didn't have a lot to do. He talked for two hours and I was convinced that the hot tub was something I got to have, and I'm glad I've got it. Purchasing the tub was very easy and the installers were really good. I was told that it was gonna take three days to put it in, but it only took one day. The tub works fine and I thoroughly enjoy being in it. I was in it last night and thought that I was told that in order to do any good, you have to be in it for 15 minutes. I really stay for about 45 minutes.

For quite a while, I have been going to get a walk-in tub, but I wanted to see it before I bought it. I wasn’t gonna spend that much money on something and not see it, so the guy, Nat, took one out of the box in West Des Moines and let me see it. I then decided to get it. He was very nice and Independent Home was very good and professional. I was having a problem with my neck and I had to go to the doctor a couple of times. The installer was very caring and kept asking me if there was anything he could do. They did a good job and I’m very satisfied. I love my tub.

My wife had an accident and we were gonna do a Thermospa that I saw on TV. I talked with my older brother who has polio and has never been able to walk. He's up-to-date on what does and doesn't work. He told me that if we get a spa in our back patio, we'll never get to where we can use it because of the weather. Plus, there are the chemicals and getting her in and out of it. It wasn't a luxury item though, it was medically necessary with the circulation because of my wife's diabetes and her back injury. My brother suggested to get a tub. I looked at Pat Boone with Safe Step. I also got looking online and Independent Home kept popping. They were at the top of ConsumerAffairs and the voters rate it highly.

My wife was not able to get in and out of our tub. She had to have something with a door on it where she could walk in. Someone called from Independent Home. We had a representative come out and explain everything to us before we purchased their walk-in tub. The installation went fairly well other than the fact that the installers seemed a little bit slow and took too much time doing it. They were supposed to be in here at 10 o'clock on a Friday, but they were late. They got started at about 4 o'clock that afternoon and they didn't finish the installation until Sunday afternoon. They did a good job though. But I don't know if Independent Home checks out if the people do the tub work or not. Also, the installer tried to glue a magnet in to hold the door panel but didn't stay on there.

I received a phone call from some reps and they asked if they could come and talk about walk-in tubs. I agreed and since Independent Home's product is a commercial grade and guaranteed for life, I decided to buy from them. They sounded like a good place, too. The dealer I dealt was good though I wish we got the shower instead of the tub. He told me more about the tub and we thought the tub would be great because we both need to sit down and just rest. But the fact is, we don't. We didn't ask about the shower and it was totally our fault. Aside from that, I would like to have a guide. I haven't gotten one and I need something to tell me what the tub does. Other than that, the installers were great and they worked hard. I'd recommend Independent Home.

I liked Independent Home's pricing and their product looked a little bit better than others. Their sales team was great as well and my installation experience was fantastic. It was a good experience overall and Independent Home did what I asked them to do.

Since we already had an Independent bathtub seven years ago, we knew what we were looking for. It was a satisfactory buying experience. The dealer had a good line of information and was willing to share it. The installation team was a little late getting here because they had to pick up their equipment and the tub itself in Charleston, South Carolina. It also took them a while to lay their hands on it, but they came on up and worked well into the evening. And then, was up and did it again the next day, and finished it up. The salesperson and the installation team were both fantastic.

We responded to something on the internet about walk-in bathtubs then we chose to go with Independent Home because they were considerably cheaper. The quotes that we got from the other two places we checked out were right around 18,000 but with Independent Home, it was 10,000. However, the salesman did not know the product very well. He told us that the standard tub has 44 jets and that the one we bought has 38 jets, so there's a difference of six. But that was not true because it has only 28 and we did not realize that until the installer came with the tub. It was a big difference and the jets were in different places. But it wasn't enough for us to turn the tub away because the installer gave us the option. The installation guys were great as well. They finished everything in one day and didn't scratch or do anything wrong. Neither did they have to replace any wallpaper.

There was a salesman from Independent home who stopped by and told me about his company's walk-in bathtubs. He explained it to me and everything, and it sounded good. We made a deal, and they put the tub in the next day. The installation went fine and their crew worked every minute. They never stopped 'til they had the whole thing done. Thus far, I feel the tub is top quality.

Independent Home's people were really polite and clean. I enjoyed their company and they cleaned up after themselves. I love the tub I got from them so far. I'm an old man and it helps me tremendously.

I've been thinking about a walk-in tub before. I've gotten a price from the one that does a lot of advertising and decided we aren't getting younger and we have to get one of those before we find ourselves wanting it or needing it right away. We got the tub from Independent Home and the installation team was nice. The installation went well.

I got an Independent Home tub with a wheelchair access. Everything worked fine. The installation team was excellent. They were in and out, and had it done in eight hours. I can now get in, take a bath without worrying about falling.

We love our walk-in tub by Independent Home! My husband and I are in our late 40s-early 50s. Both of us have previous back injuries and soaking in our walk-in tub with the air jets on relieves our pain and is very relaxing! It helps us to get a better night's sleep. And my varicose veins are much less visible. We are glad we got our walk-in tub!

I can't tell you how pleased I was with installation. Men were here 8:00 straight up, went right to work, took all precautions not damage anything and put clothes down on my floors, went through all instructions, cleaned up behind themselves and all was done. If you are lucky enough to get Tim and DJ you got the best!!!

We got the cheapest tub that Independent Home had for my mother who is 83. The salesperson who came here was an awesome gentleman. The people who put it in were incredible. Everybody was on time and they did a great job. It was one day, just like they said. They had it within a week and they came one morning at 9:00 o’clock, on the dot, and they were here all day ’til 3:00 o’clock and did everything. So far we’ve been using it for showering and bathing, and both my mom and I love it. They put in the grab bar in the tub and there’s a hook-up on the wall. There's a part where heat comes out at the back of the seat, and it feels good on your back. It's the absolute best experience I’ve had in a while since I’ve been here in Florida. I told my barber about it and I brought the pamphlet and showed it to him when he asked me.

Independent Home's tub was cheaper than what they used to be, and what I paid for it was a real fair price. They did a good job putting it in and it looks nice. It does what it needs to do, and 10 minutes are all you need to set up everything. I’d recommend it.

We had estimates from a couple of companies and it appears that Independent Home gave us not only the best price but also went through things with us in great detail. We wanted to go with the hydrotherapy but, unfortunately, our home was not able to run the electric lines to do that. So, we went with the soaker. The purchasing process was easy and the installation was very good. Tony, the gentleman from Independent Home, knew exactly what he was doing. The house is very old so we had glass and stone behind the tile. It took time in order to get the cast iron tub out as well as to fill in the cracks and remove the step. So, it was time consuming but Tony was very thorough with his work. My wife says the tub is more like a spa than anything else. So, she is in love with the installation and the way that it’s functioning.

Independent Home was gonna do the hot tub at $12,000, just that it doesn’t say Kohler. The dealer came back twice in order to adjust things. He put a 50-gallon water tank in too and that’s working well. We’re satisfied with Independent Home.

I found Independent Home online and the experience was all good with the dealer. They seemed to care about their job a lot. I bought a walk-in tub with a shower and I like its convenience. The installers did the job very well. They also took pride in what they did.

We were looking to fix our shower and the phone rang, and a fellow said that he thought we were interested in a walk-in shower. I don’t have any idea how he knew we were because we hadn’t contacted Independent Home but my husband said fine. They made an appointed to come out the next day. The salesman came and we talked to him. I've always wanted a big tub where I can walk in as we get older and he gave me all the information. At one time we had just the spa tub, and you had to clean it with chemicals all the time. When I asked the salesman how to clean the tub, he told me. It was the kind that I wanted. I don’t wanna have to have somebody always running chemicals through my tub.

Independent Home called us for an appointment. They went through all the details to help us make our decision and we got the tub with the door that opens inside. The purchasing process was okay as far as interviews went. We also had a good experience with the installation team. I like that they were able to get in here and then get out. They also cleaned up when they were finished.

I have difficulty stepping over the bathtub and getting in and out of it. Purchasing the tub at Independent Home was lengthy, but it was easy. With it, I like the fact that the water stays warm for the entire time you're in there soaking. During the installation, everything went quickly. The guys knew what they were doing and they did it very efficiently, including taking doors and door jambs out. Getting the tub into the house was interesting, but we managed.

We researched walk-in tubs and met with two vendors before meeting with Ari of Independent Home. At first our schedules did not agree and several days passed before we actually sat down with Ari to discuss the tub, but it was worth the telephone tag and wait. While Ari knows his product inside out, his is not your typical salesman. There is no hard sell, no bombardment of "unique" features we can't keep straight, no super special deal if we commit immediately, no special discounts if we use cash or check, just a reasonable price for the tub with the features we like. And, by the way, there are no "unique" features in this business that Independent Home cannot provide.

I would recommend Independent Home to anyone who is gonna get a walk-in tub. The price seemed reasonable and the way the rep explained it and told me about it, it seemed like it was a good, sturdy walk-in tub that's better than a lot of those on the market. I bought a walk-in therapeutic spa tub and it was easy. I made a downpayment and monthly payments. The installers were very good too. They put it in and cleaned up.

We got an Independent Home tub and liked it. We had also looked at several others, but we liked it best. Purchasing it was easy but it is very expensive. The father-and-son installation team was absolutely wonderful. They were everything they should’ve been and more. Danny is disabled and the tub has been a comfort to him.

I liked the price of Independent Home bathtub. Their dealer was very nice and the purchase was pretty easy. The installers did a very good job and they cleaned up after themselves. The first time I sat in the tub, it was like sitting in a dishwasher. But after I got past that, it was okay. I like our new tub. You step in, sit down, and turn it on. With our other tub, I broke my foot getting out of it.

My mom and dad needed a walk-in bathtub. We’ve heard about the walk-in tubs for a while and did research on the internet. A combination of the reviews online and the salesman made us use Independent Home. A couple of other bigger companies had issues, but Independent Home's salesman was very good. Our interactions with the installation team were good and it took them a day to do the install. And although we had an issue in the beginning, they resolved it within a week. They had to do something with the shower bar and the drain catch thing. We bought one of the smaller models. It has air jets, foot spas, and the shower. My parents like it and feel very good about it.

It’s very hard to get up and out of a regular tub, which made me get a walk-in tub. Although I knew what I wanted, all my options were explained well to me by Independent Home's rep, but he didn't tell me I’d have to get a new water heater. The installers were two nice gentlemen. They got here at 9:00 and they were out before 3:00. One, two, three, they had it done and they cleaned up after themselves. The new tub helps my back.

My mother can't get in and out of a regular tub and I'm not much better. We went with a walk-in tub from Independent Home, and their rep was a super guy. He was very congenial, nice, and informative. He had all the answers to all the questions we had. Plus, the installers were fine and cleaned up after themselves.

I am totally pleased with my experience with Independent Home. Everything was great, and I love my walk-in tub. It's the most wonderful thing in the world. I'm 76 years old and I get in it everyday, fill it up and just relax. I put some Epsom salts in there, too. My skin looks so much better and I feel so much better. At this age, all your joints hurt, but having the tub helps so much. I wish I bought one sooner and I've told all my friends about it. People come over here and tell me they are gonna get my tub, and I say no. "Nobody's gonna get it."

We had a representative come to our house and he ended up selling us a tub. I've been through the mill with salespeople and been a salesperson. I kinda know the ins and outs of stuff like that, and some of it rubs me the wrong way. But the rep from Independent Home was personable and he knew about the product. He is a fellow veteran, so we connected on that. The installation guys did a wonderful job. They knew exactly what they were doing. They were clean and they didn’t leave a mess. They was super nice, friendly, and willing to do whatever we needed. Even when they had to come back, they were the same. There was something wrong with the motor. It would make a super loud, ear-piercing sound. They had to replace the motor and it has been working good since then.

Purchasing the Independent Home tub was very easy and the installation went fine. The installers told me who they were and I showed them where to put the tub, and I backed off and let them do it. They got through with it and cleaned up after themselves fine. With the model I got, I just lean over, open the door, step in, close the door and take a bath. I can also put a wave, plus it has a place for an aroma if I want it. It seems to be very good and I haven't had any problems with it. I like being able to just sit down and take a bath again. Before I got it, it was strictly a shower because I couldn't step in and out of it.

My family thought it was a scam. Now, they like it. They’re completely different.

My sister and I purchased a Walk-in Spa Tub last summer (2018). We had service out three times within a couple of months of install. The install was great. The service tech was respectful and did a great job. I was disappointed that the tub was not installed in the direction we asked for. I let that go. The work looked so good.

I have an elderly lady at my church who got a walk-in tub and it cost her 13,000. She said it was the most wonderful thing she has ever done. I have multiple cirrhosis. So, it's difficult for me to maneuver, walk around and get in and out the bathtub. I like to take a bath and my husband always likes to take a shower. We have a stand up shower and it got to be difficult. On occasions, I would have to have him lift my leg over the edge of the tub or out of the tub. So, we went looking at Lowe's or Menards. They have these nice big shower stalls and they weren’t all that expensive, but by the time we bought the door and everything, it was around $1,500. I've been interested in a walk-in bathtub for a long time because I am no longer able to get out of a tub by myself. I am disabled, so I needed the walk-in tub for health reasons. The first gentleman I spoke with at Independent Home was a very nice man and was very congenial. He was very good about calling me back when I had a question. The installation of the walk-in bathtub went well. The general manager called me and he said that he had another tub that just came in. It was still in the crates and it would cost less. Although I can manage, my problem now is I am a little on the queen size, so I have a little problem getting the door shut because I need about another three inches wider. I am satisfied.

I've been looking through the phone book and found Independent Home. I called them and the people there were friendly. However, the installer didn't complete the job and there are still some stuff that needs doing on it. When he did the caulking, he didn't caulk everything. The caulk in the door that goes at the side of it is already cracking. Somebody needs to come back. I've had them out here one time, but the tech didn't finish the job and left. My wife loves the tub, but I am very dissatisfied right now.

My wife was having some problems and I saw something on the internet about walk-in tubs, so I decided to get one. Independent Home was the first one that called me back and I had no problem with them. I had a few questions and they answered them. I purchased a tub and a shower and the installation team was good. They took about 4 hours and got things done. However, the dealer furnished me with a couple of broken pieces when they put it together, but then everything went well. I was also gonna call them about the handheld shower if they had one with a smaller grip on it since the grip on it is rather large. My wife has small hands and it's hard for her to hold onto it. I have one with a smaller grip but I don't know whether I should put it in without talking to them first or not.

Independent Home's tubs are outrageously expensive, but we couldn't seem to find anything and decided to just go with it. The installation was pretty good. The tub was put in very nice. It's very attractive. However, There were some people who didn’t agree with some people and the installer said one thing and we found out something else. I didn’t get everything as straight across as I thought I was going to get it. I was more confused at times than I needed to be. Maybe it's just because I'm up in years. But there was a little discrepancy here and there. We experienced a lot of concern and worry but there were some very good people there, especially the one who came here and introduced the tub to us. He tried to walk the last mile. Some people made me more comfortable than others and I liked them better.

And then I went to take a shower and I dropped shampoo in the bottom of the tub. I slipped on it and the only thing that saved me from falling was one of these little cheap chairs that I put in my shower. That was God telling me I need to invest in something for my health. I received a phone call from Independent Home and the woman asked me if had I ever thought about getting a walk-in tub, and we started a conversation. Then she said she would send somebody out to show me the pictures and give me an idea of what was involved and the price. They weren’t pushy and they weren’t selling. They didn’t tell me to buy anything. She just told me what the product was and how long it would take them to install it.

Independent Home's rep gave us a good presentation and we decided to take it. There was nothing pushy. The walk-in tub was a little higher-priced than we intended to go for, but we decided to do it. Very nice people installed the tub. They worked on it diligently and got it done in a day and a half. The tub is more than a regular tub. It has a seat and the jets. We love it. It has been a lifesaver for us.

Install walking shower and vanity counters - Installers were on time both days, very professional, left things neat and well organized when they left the first day. The Installers was great not to mention the fantastic job they did on the installation. My wife and I love the finished product. Ozzi and his crew were top notch. The tub is fabulous. We enjoy every minute of our session in the tub. I am a big man and that tub is Great, I am able to take a bath which I was unable to do because I was too tall. We've got arthritis in our knees and back, and we thought a walk-in tub might help. They're mighty expensive, but we went ahead and did it. Somebody from Independent Home came up here, showed us all that stuff and talked to us. I don't know if he was pulling our leg or what. He said he invented all of the walk-in tubs then other people bought them and put their names on them. But he was a talker. That's for sure. As for the installation, they did a good job. It was an all-day job because they had to take our old tub out. They also had to take the door facing down to get it through the door. But they fixed everything back to how it's supposed to be.

My hope is this will address some of my issues. I have used it twice and I can feel some benefit already, YEA.

Independent Home's installers were very courteous and our interaction was very professional. Our tub has little holes and the bigger holes for the jets. Also, it has a wave-action splash. The tub seems to be good except that the seat is a little uncomfortable. We just put down a hand towel to sit on. Also, we experience some trouble with not having enough hot water to fill the tub. Before, we could always take a regular shower and have no problem. But now, we don’t have enough water. The tub might have just become larger and holds more water. Everything else seems to be all right.

Our experience with David and Harold was so much less stressful than we had imagined for the complete removal of our original tub/shower and installation of the new one. We love our new walk-in tub so much we wish we’d have called sooner!

Installers where scheduled to arrive at 8:00am, John called me promptly to let me know that they were running behind, due to all the construction going on in my area (even I have a hard time getting places on time because of backed up traffic!). Both of the gentleman were very polite and professional. They were both very knowledgeable and did quick work of removing the old setup and installing the new. My bathroom was ready to go when they left. I have not tried my new spa tub yet but am sure looking forward to it. They were very neat and tidy with their work. Even passed a mop! I needed a replacement for my tub for my guestroom and contacted Independent Home. They sent out an agent and we had a discussion. They'd gut the place while the other place I talked with would just cover up the old system and weren’t offering anything else. Also, Independent Home would also put in a new floor and cabinet. Independent Home's purchasing process was simple. They did the work and I paid them. The installers were here for three days and worked for eight hours a day. Independent Home is a little pricey, but the quality of the work is worth it. Plus, I like the tub and I’m satisfied with the results. Most of all, my wife likes it too. I would highly recommend this company.

The installation was completed over a two day period. John and his son were very professional and informative along the way. Left everything neat and tidy as they said they would. I have not had the opportunity to use the spa as yet but look forward to it.

My tub was tall and I was going to have to replace the stuff around it anyway so something new needed to be done. I talked to Independent Home earlier and they came to me. Their customer service reps were all very nice as well as the guy who installed the walk-in bathtub. I couldn’t ask for a more polite guy. The installation took three days altogether. The situation was a little bit different because he had to get some parts, then he had some problems and I wasn’t gonna be able to be home, so we couldn't finish it until the next week. But it was fine. I liked the grab bar, but if I was redoing it, I would put them a little bit differently. Also, if you don’t have a bath mat down and once the soap gets on there, it gets slick so it’s dangerous. Still, I would recommend Independent Home. It is very feasible for anybody who doesn’t want a tub with it.

Spa install - The men were very kind and did the job in a very timely fashion. My husband was unfortunately not able to be here as he was in the hospital, but I think it will be a big help and surprise when he gets to come home. It is really beautiful. I am excited to try it out soon.

I was looking for a walk-in tub. I wanted one due to medical reasons. I looked at different models and I liked a unit from Independent Homes. It has what I consider a good lifetime warranty. I also liked the position of its handles, how its door worked, the number of its jets and the air in the outputs, and that it fits. I bought the tub and the purchasing process was easy. They provided me with everything that I requested for prior to signing the contract, which included a certificate of insurance. That was a little difficult as it had to come from their corporate office.

I am very happy with my walk-in tub from Independent Home. I was about to have hip replacement surgery, and I thought that the walk-in tub would be beneficial for me. It would be easier to get in and out of the tub than having to step over a jacuzzi and get in. The walk-in tub that I got didn’t have a big shower, but I can shampoo my hair while I’m sitting there. It’s convenient for me because it fits in where the jacuzzi was. You sit down, you turn the water on and before you know it, you’re ready to bathe. It also dispenses out quickly.

John is very talented, thorough, thoughtful and kind. He is professional, trustworthy and a joy to have working in my home. Very few workers leave the work area as clean as John has left my home and garage. His personality and sense of humor was most pleasant. And I really like the spa too!

My bath tub and counter top were removed and replaced in 2 days. The work crew were very courteous and efficient. Our drain pipe was not placed correctly but the 2 men took care of the problem very nicely. They had to drill the cement and change water pipes in order for the placement of the shower drain opening to fit. I was pleased with their workmanship.

My wife, who is 70 years old wanted a tub. Although her doctor was concerned that the strong jets can hurt and bring damage to elderly skin, she wanted it to shoot out water. And so we looked for ones that were more air jets. We considered a couple of other companies but the price was a bit more than what we wanted to spend. And when the salesman from Independent Home had left, I read through the ad and found they had veterans' discount, and they were more than happy to apply that to the price after we negotiated. But we never heard from the salesman again. The follow up was bad as well because there wasn't any. In addition to that, a pillow and a headrest were committed to us but they never came. When I got a hold of a customer service rep, I was told that they must have missed it and so they'll get them out to me as soon as they can and they did.

Installers were very courteous and friendly. Kept us informed throughout the entire process. Both Jason and Josh were very professional and helpful. They both cleaned up great and let my bathroom looking very nice. I would recommend to anyone.

I had my son-in-law research different companies and he gave me three choices. I called Independent Home and two others. Their representatives came out and I chose Independent Home. They were better all over and their customer service was excellent. All of the people were courteous and very good to deal with. The techs that installed the tub did an excellent job and they did it in a day. I love my walk-in tub.

I have been wanting to have a tub from Independent Home and finally, was able to get one. It made me so happy. I’m 73, and getting in and out of a regular tub was a nightmare. The step-in is so low. But it’s easy in the tub from Independent Home. I don’t get nervous trying to get in or out, making sure there’s something I can hang on to if I need to. It’s a lot of peace of mind. I don’t worry when I go take a hot soak because of my arthritis and fibromyalgia. So being able to sit down without having to struggle to get up is also a blessing. Both of my knees are shot. I have half of a patella so kneeling down is painful, and I’d have to kneel down to get up in a regular tub. In this one from Independent Home, I just stand up. The tub is easy to clean as well. I love it and it’s such a joy to have one.

We were talking about getting a walk-in tub and after I answered something back, Independent Home had somebody call and ask me if we were interested in one. I said yes and the reps weren't pushy. Their unit's quality was a little better than the rest. Previously, I looked at some tubs and somebody told me the things to look out for. When I saw this one, it looked like it had all the options they said we needed. The installers showed up early one morning and it was seven o’clock that afternoon they were finished and out of there. They did it all in one day.

We were having problems with our old bathtub and we knew there was water damage down there, so Independent Home came. They fixed the water damage and installed the walk-in bathtub, which was for my daughter. However, she was having trouble with her legs, so she decided on the shower rather than the tub. The reps were extremely good when I made the purchase and although I thought Independent Home was a little expensive, the service was excellent. It didn’t take long to install my daughter’s tub. It took two days which was very quick. I was gonna get an estimate for my other bathroom and I would like to know the price for that.

The rep at Independent Home responded to my questions and what I found was sufficient. The installers who came were nice. It took them about two-thirds of the day to complete the job. So far, it's nice to not have to climb over anything about three inches. I have some kind of leg disability and I don't get around well. It's also nice to have a built-in seat to sit down. I used to have a stool to sit down and there's always a danger of falling over. My experience with Independent Home has been good.

I like getting in the tub, sitting in it and soaking in it a little bit, and that’s what brought me and my husband's attention to Independent Home. I got a call from them and what they talked about interested me. They came out and showed me brochures. Purchasing the tub went good and the installation was okay too. They did it in a few days. They set it in and we could use it. I was skeptic then about getting in it but now, it’s easy for me to get in and out of it. I love getting in our tub. If I don’t fill the water all the way up in it, just taking the shower in it is good for me, either sitting down or standing up. It’s really good and it’s handy with me and my husband doing that. We’re doing fine with our Independent Home tub, so far. We have a handicapped house with big doors to the bathroom so the installation didn't take too long. They just took one tub out and put the Independent Home tub in. We’ve used it and we like it. I do a lot of exercises in it. The tub is deep enough that it gets over my knees, so I stand up and walk up and down. I am experiencing good relief from it. I was guaranteed that they would come and fix the tub any time without charge and that they’d move the tub if we need to for nothing. I just wonder if that’s true. But as far as I know, it’s a good tub and I’ve not had any trouble with it.

I wanted a walk-in tub and I saw the Independent Home Walk-in Bathtub that I like in one of the magazines. I purchased one and the installer of Independent Home did a good job. He cleaned up behind himself and I was pleased with him. I’m okay with the walk-in tub, but I may want a bit bigger showerhead. I’m so used to a big shower head with a lot of water coming, and that's the thing that I miss. Now, I use the tub twice a week and use the shower more than that. I’ve gotten to where I fall a lot, but with my walk-in tub, I never fell in the bathroom since I have a chair in there.

We have not used the tub yet. The installers were very nice and respectful. Wrong color was sent but it looks fine so no problem with that. We did not have the shower section installed. Would be nice if they called the night before to give us the time they would arrive. Still satisfied.

They came in and fixed everything. They had to move my sink and they moved it. They didn’t wanna charge me anything, but they helped me and I am very satisfied with the product. The tub looks very nice. It is really good to relax. I don’t have to go to a public place. I can go home and go downstairs and enjoy the tub. I’ve tried to talk to some of my relatives and I told them, “Just come over and sit on the tub and let the bubbles get a hold of you, and you go enjoy.”

The installers were very professional and courteous. They did a very good job to take care of my property and possessions. They arrived on time and finished in a timely manner. The product really looks great. I am very satisfied with product and installation.

Independent Home's salesman came by my house, talked to us and showed us their product. My knees are giving out and my wife really liked the walk-in tub. The installers were professional and really good. And they didn't break a lot. They stayed at it for a day and a half until they got the job finished. The walk-in tub is well-built and changed my wife's day-to-day. She loves taking hot baths, and when mama is happy, everybody is happy. I'd recommend Independent Home.

I had an Independent Home walk-in tub installed and I’m pleased with everything that went on. They sent somebody who I could talk to and really show me some pictures up close that I could see. The personal contact pleased me since I cannot get around very well. We then had the installers and they were working in a pretty tight spot here. We're a narrow hall, and to cut the big pieces that they had to get, they were here for quite a while. They came about 10:15 in the morning and it was 7:30 that night before they left. There was a lot of dust but they cleaned up very well after themselves.

I wasn't sure I was ready for this product but I am glad I decided to get it. The company was very helpful and the installers were so friendly I feel like their family. I cannot wait to take my first bath in my new tub. Thanks Independent Home!! I feel like shouting to the rooftops how happy I am.

We had an Independent Home walk-in tub put in which turned out to be a very easygoing, painless experience. They were better than what I expected. The big names like Kohler were way out of reach so price was the factor when we went with Independent Home. A well-spoken older man came out and our purchasing experience with him went smoothly. We told him what we had available and he looked at our situation. He pushed the model that we bought. Then, their people did a very workmanlike, fast job of putting the tub in. Got it in the morning and they were out by late afternoon. It was done quite well and had good workmanship. However, I don't like it very much that you can’t lie back on the tub because it’s a sit-up. It’s utilitarian but it does the job and my wife won’t be falling anymore. She can get in and she’s comfortable in it. She can get washed and her hair without falling around. So, it's probably the best that we had going.

My husband has some health issues and he can’t get down in our big garden tub. It takes a good while for him to get the energy and me to help him get out of it and that was frightening for him. I felt that we really needed to get the Independent Home tub because it would help with my husband’s circulation. We had a little problem with the installation though, when we didn’t have enough tiles and the installer couldn’t get the needed 18 tiles. He has told me that the tile would go under the edge of the tub but he didn’t have quite enough.

An Independent Home rep came out, explained everything, and theirs was with a warranty. He was very professional, and he answered every question that we had. We've been very pleased with it. I got the one-person and it has a shower, but not like one of the tubs out now. Now, it has a one that's up high. This is a pull-out one. The installers were great and they, too, explained how to use everything when they left. They were really good and they did a fantastic job. It looks like it has always been there. The tub is good and it feels comfortable.

We are very happy with our tub - so far! Once our parents are actually using it on a consistent basis, then we will know for sure how well it is! They are both elderly, and we are hoping that this tub will open up freedom for them to bath properly and regularly.

A man came out here and we sat at the table for about 30 minutes. He was very pleasant and cordial. We chatted and then he showed me the Independent Home product. I was interested in getting one because my wife is very ill and has difficulty getting in and out of the tub. So, I made the decision to purchase one. Two men came for the installation and they were very good and nice. However, the installation took a little longer than expected. I was told it would take about a day but they had some problems. The door entrance into this particular bathroom was a lot smaller than they anticipated and they had to remove the door frame. They said that they would take down the frame, redo it and put it back. They finally finished it and were good at solving problems about what to do. We haven't had any problems.

I dealt with a good sales rep from Independent Home. She did a good job. However, the installers did not clean up the floor, the doors and the countertops. I had dust all over when they took the tub out. Nevertheless, they were very friendly and professional. Everything has been fine since we got the walk-in tub.

My wife has some neuralgia problems and getting in and out of a regular bathtub is extremely difficult. While Independent Home had some competition, they burned the price down to a point where it was competitive. The guys who installed the walk-in tub were A-plus guys. At first, there was some concern about how they were gonna get it in because the doorway was very narrow. But what happened was I told him to turn around and look at the window, and the guy put his tape up to the window and said, “We’ll do it.” And it was done very quickly and easily. Though it took them a better part of a day to put in the walk-in tub, they were very very good considering the time constraints and that they had to hoist it up. Independent Home is a pretty good outfit. So far, my wife is enjoying the walk-in tub a great deal.

We purchased a walk-in tub for my wife. She is handicapped and she couldn’t get in and out of a tub. The walk in tub that we got from Independent Home had grab bars, a shower, and it had jets. Purchasing it from the dealer was great. He showed us all the features and the price comparison. The installation was an all-day thing and we had it done in our master bedroom. Whenever I asked so many questions, they were more than willing to give me information. We really like the walk-in tub and we made a good choice. Overall, my experience with Independent Home was great and I'd tell a friend that I'd go for them. They’re not gonna get anything better in pricing, the people they will deal with are great and the installation was a fairly smooth process.

My sister made an appointment with a guy from Independent Home. He came out and we talked about it. My sister said that she didn't wanna use all my money for the bathtub, but I told her that it is something we both can use. I told her I was willing to pay that kind of money because she is 65 and I’m 57 and we have problems with our knees. I said that the tub would be better, so we ended up getting the bathtub. It has the aromatherapy and the jacuzzi type and shower. The team who came out for the installation was very professional and I would recommend them again. I have severe asthma and I can’t even tell that they had torn anything up. I love the tub, but my sister must love it more than me. She is usually the one in the tub.

I got a bad back and it bothers me. I had a spa at one time years ago and I really enjoyed that, so I decided to buy a tub for the therapeutic part of it. I had been looking at Lowe’s and Home Depot but Independent Home called me one day and we set up a meeting and they were just professional. I ordered an oversized tub for my height and they did a good job on the installation which took almost three days to finish. They took out our existing shower and they did the plumbing into the house. They also took out our old water heater and installed a new one and did all the piping. They then had to cut a hole in our wall to get the tub in but they did a nice job. I really like the tub and I'm enjoying it. I have body aches and I feel a lot better when I get out after using the tub's air and water jets.

The installers are great representatives for your company. They were neat with their work and considerate of our home. They knew the process very well and produced quality work. We are highly pleased in all areas. The installation looks great and we will be happy to show our friends and recommend it to anyone who is interested.

I got an Independent Home one-person tub with a shower. I liked that Independent Home is made in Phoenix and all the guys that work there are from Phoenix, Arizona. The Independent Home salesman was very nice. I had talked to two other people that had Jacuzzis but I really liked him. He was down to earth and he didn't put out a big show. The installers were very nice too and they did it so fast. They came at 8 o'clock and by 2, they were all done and it looked beautiful. I am very satisfied with my tub and I would recommend Independent Home to anybody.

The installation of our Independent Home product went very quickly. We had a wonderful installer who was the nicest guy we'd ever wanna meet. He worked over time clear in to the evening when he really didn’t have to. However, he was so wanting to get such a good job done and he had quite a large install to do. He had to put in new doors and a lot of extra materials. He did an excellent job and we were very, very pleased with him. Thus far, everything has been fine.

I’m 89 years old and a few months ago, they diagnosed me with Parkinson’s. I thought I’d have a serious stroke plus my walking is bad and my balance is bad. I was afraid I was gonna fall getting in and out of the bathtub. So when I got a phone call from Independent Home to see if I was interested in a walk-in tub, yes, I was interested. I also thought it would do no harm to talk to the representative whether I bought or not. But they were very helpful and courteous. It didn’t take me long to decide this is what I should have. It was about 20 minutes or so, and the process was very easy for me. I have a big house and when they came for the installation, they had quite a little ways to go from the front door to the bathroom. So they put down cloth strips to save the carpet. They also cleaned up everything. I was very satisfied with the experience overall and the tub is great. It also has some grab bars.

My wife picked out a walk-in tub from Independent Home and we ended up purchasing that. It has the shower, the bubbles, and a place you can put some stuff in to make you smell good. Purchasing from them was easy and all I got to have was the money. Also, the reps who assisted me did a really good job and they didn’t have to ask a bunch of questions. They just did what they had to do, got it done right, and got out of here. The installers were good as well. They took the old tub out, put the new one in, got everything hooked up, and put a new floor in for us. The quality of their work is good but the very bottom where the drain is is a little slick and I'm wondering if there is anything we can get ti put in the bottom. Other than that, Independent Home did me a wonderful job.

I received a phone call from Independent Home and an offer to come by and assess the work. The rep was very pleasant. We had some shower work done and a walk-in tub placed, and their installation team did a good job. However, there was a little delay in getting the shower work done due to the logistics of ordering some of the materials. That worked out fine though and it was all good. Overall, my experience with Independent Home was very good and I would give them favorable recommendations.

We could not have chosen a more qualified contracting group to install the spa within our home. I found these gentleman to be very warm friendly and polite. We’re all older here and we can’t get into a real bathtub very well. We had a walk-in bathtub where we lived at before and we loved it. We looked at a few walk-in tub companies and they were expensive. We finally chose Independent Home because the price was better. The rep we had was a really nice guy and he seemed like he knew what he was doing and everything with the installation was good. Also, the tub we got has pretty lights and it looks nice.

We bought a standard tub that has the air jets in it. That was what Independent Home offered at the time and it seemed like what we needed. My wife has a bad back and she needed that type of massage. And the tub does suit our needs. I’m real satisfied with the product. I was also very impressed with the people that we dealt with. The salesman was very nice and accommodating, and the purchasing experience was very pleasant. The workmen were also exceptionally good, exceptionally nice and very efficient.

I’ve been thinking about the Safe Step tub for a long time and I wanted to soak in a bath but because of my arthritis, if I got into a regular tub, getting out would take another person to lift me. So when Rick, the salesman from Independent Home, called me, I decided to buy their walk-in tub. I’ve used it a few times and so far, so good. I have arthritis and problems with my back, and when I’m in there under the water, it all relaxes and feels so great. But when I get out, gravity takes over, pulls everything back together again, and getting out is not a pleasant experience. Besides that, you can also take a shower in the tub and it has the aromatherapy, which is nice.

A rep from Independent Home came out to our home. However, he was just really terribly pushy. I really was going to buy one of their tubs anyway, but he just was over the top. Thereafter, their installation team came and they were quite friendly and helpful. I’m on 24-hour oxygen, so I’m stuck to my chair, and they were quite chatty every time they went through. So far, it has taken me a bit to get used to using the tub they installed. Still, the more I use it, the better my experience is with it.

An Independent Home rep called us and sold a walk-in bathtub to us. My husband and I had been looking at them on TV and we just decided that it would be good for us at our age. We went with the one that the rep showed us. It was an $11,000 bathtub that could only fit one person. Purchasing it was easy. The rep and the installation team were very nice and seemed to know exactly what they were doing. We like the tub very well. However, it takes a lot of water to fill it up. If we’ve been shown more than one model, we might’ve gone with another model, but the rep only showed us one and it was probably the most expensive. It disappoints me to know that there are other models that the rep did not show us. Nonetheless, we’re satisfied with the bathtub. It just has holes and the air blows through them. They go up too high in the back and by the time you fill it up over holes, the water bubble goes over the side of the bathtub.

After a guy explained and showed me the Independent Home walk-in tub, I decided I would get it. The installers did a good job of putting the tub in and it looks good. I like our walk-in tub. But I had a problem with not having the hot water for a while. I may have to get me a new water heater. I have also paid a good bit on my walk-in tub now, but Independent Home charges me an awful lot of interest. I didn't much like that.
