Ordered kitchen and laundry appliances for new construction last November when they had 40% discount. Indicated that delivery could be extended out 3 months. After severe winter and 3 storms in March, construction was severely delayed. They worked with us and extended delay in delivery. Delivery was scheduled for 6/18 between 8 to 2... No delivery at 2, called and said truck delayed, called again at 4 and they said truck broke down. Scheduled next day (19th) between 8 and 10. Called at 10 and they said order never made it on truck and next delivery date was 7/23. Was at Home Depot on 7/20 for other materials and checked at service desk to confirm delivery only to find out Home Depot cancelled on 6/28.
Manager could do nothing but said we could re-order at current prices, which would be approx $1500 increase in price. Called their Customer Care and they went back to manager at store only to say that he is the final answer and nothing could be done. Also Customer Care indicated they would get back with an answer within 48 business hours. They did not, I got back to them 63 hours later. I agree their delivery policy was not met but they agreed to extension and delivery date had been set and they cancelled between the date it was set and the delivery date.

My mother (90 yrs in age) order electric range from Home Depot (which is made by GE). When order the range a plan was purchase. A protection plan, parts and warranty was also purchase. When stove was delivery, there was a defect with the front left front burner, the burner was tilted. That is very danger. So the delivery guy stated to call and let Home Depot know. Which we did for my mother. When explain the problem Home Depot had another stove delivered. Same problem with second range.
Now it was the left back burner was tilted. The delivery guy states to call Home Depot. Which I did, put on hold for a while, spoke with a customer service agent and he was not very helpful, he tells me to work that out with the delivery guy. The delivery guy has nothing to do with the stove. He works for "GE" out of Tallahassee, Fl, he has nothing to do with Home Depot. The Home Depot has not been helpful at all. Spoke with Wanda at the delivery office, she was very helpful, she explain what was best for me to do. She then transferred to another manager Javorris, he ask what the problem was. Explain that to him.
While explaining him the problem, in middle of conversation I could he was talking to someone else, he then tells me to hold on and transferred me to someone else, which put me back on hold again. This problem has still not been resolved. My mom is 90 yrs of age. She does not understand. If I had not accepted the stove my mother would been left without a stove. So she had to accept the stove with the defect/or not have a stove at all. This is not right. Money does not grow on trees, If there is a tree that is growing money, someone please let me know where it is located.
Updated on 07/25/2018: GE electric range is not what is suppose to be. There have been a lot of "GE" electrician appliance in my family. Nothing is not like it was when I was growing up. My family always bought "GE" appliances. Now by ordering a new stove for my mom, she wanted "GE". Place an order online. The problem begins. I was kept on hold for at least 15 minutes, then transferred from one department to another. Its seems no one knew or what they were talking about. (Very rude).
I have been a customer service manager for 25 yrs. A customer service agent is suppose to always listen to the customer. Not so in the customer service agent that works for Home Depot. Finally place an online order. The range was delivery with a defect. Had to have a second range, was delivery 6/24/18, with same defect as the first, also with another defect, back burner on range gets very hot when oven is turn on. Now back on phone with Home Depot again, getting the run around all over again. Spoke with Ivory in Customer Service she was very helpful. Now a 3rd "GE" will be delivery. I surely hope this one be defect free.

New Frigidaire refrigerator purchased and installed by Home Depot 7/13/18. The buying and installation process was excellent. However, it's not working. Freezer is frosting over with ice, refrigerator is up over 60 degrees and it runs constantly. Frigidaire could only get their local repair service out here 9 days from now! (July 31) - right in the middle of our vacation. Home Depot... very polite but little more than chirping crickets. No more Home Depot; no more Frigidaire. I confess, I do not understand the no-return policy on major appliances. It's not right after just 10 days. Now, off to all my social media friends to make sure they hear my sad story.

Order a range 25 days ago. It was supposed to be delivered in 7 days. They have not shown up twice and brought a damaged one once. Back on the wait list for next week. The people at GE Delivery who contract with small-time local delivery people find it amusing when the order gets messed up.

Purchased refrigerator a week ago and scheduled delivery for today. Received call from delivery clowns saying truck is broken - no delivery. WE DO NOT HAVE A FUNCTIONING REFRIGERATOR!!! If you call the Home Depot number, you get circular bull. They abandon their customers after stealing your money. No recourse, no actual person to talk with, no customer service or honoring their commitment. How does a business like this stay afloat? I haven't seen one positive comment. Save yourself much aggravation. Go to the Home Depot store and have someone push the fridge on top of you.

I purchased a dryer from Home Depot online. Delivery was a week out, so I sat home waiting. They never called. At the end of the delivery window, I called them, and was told the driver sat 15 minutes waiting for me to open the gate. That was not true. I watched the gate, and it's not possible to park outside of it, it is on a busy road. So the driver was not telling the truth. We re-scheduled for a week later. When the dryer arrived, (supposedly free installation) I was told they couldn't install it, that I'd have to get an HVAC man to install it, even though it was only replacing a nearly identical dryer. Frustrated, I said "leave the dryer, I'll install it" --- so when they uncrated it, it had a huge dent, several inches deep in the side. It looked like a forklift had run into it. I told them to just take it back and cancel the order. I went to Best Buy and bought the same dryer, and Geek Squad will install it. Don't buy appliances from Home Depot.

I purchased this washer 9-30-16. The con to its regular operation is that it easily becomes unbalanced, even when using the settings for them and loading as directed. My issues with the machine arose shortly after it was delivered, every 2-3 loads it would not spin out a load, It then quickly became every load. I would manually wring out the clothes and set it on the drain and spin cycle to spin out the water from the clothes, now, it may or may not work properly. Plan B, I load my wet laundry into my car and off to the Laundromat, again. GE sent independent repair persons, the motherboard and lock switch was replaced, it was still not draining properly. Yet another new motherboard was replaced, by the GE Technician, along with 12 parts some of which are (harness for the lid, lid lock, springs, motor pulley, motor, motor sensor and computer board) to no avail.
Technicians (independent and GE technicians) have come approximately 10X, without a resolution. I don't know if it is GE or the technicians, but someone is not telling the truth, The technician stated to me (and my son was in the next room and heard him) "it is definitely unbalanced, it shows on this computer", and the advocate tells me the technician said there is nothing wrong with the machine. Another instance, he stated the machine was full of suds, and that was also not true, I hadn't put detergent in the machine (I only put a load of clean clothes, without soap to let the technician see the problem. I am rapidly losing patience with GE and the inability to address this problem which is clearly mentioned in other reviews on the internet, yet the technicians and service dispatch lines seem clueless about being a problem happening with washers besides mine.
UPDATE: GE sent out an independent repair person. He was here 7-17-18. He stated "all the parts that have been already replaced need to be replaced again". An appointment will be set as soon as they receive the parts. The case manager called me to say they can replace my washer at a discounted price, they cannot replace it at no cost. You would think, that after all that I went through, they would replace it at no cost to me. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE A GE APPLIANCE AGAIN.

I purchased a LG French door fridge. It was delivered 7-Eleven 2018. On Friday the 13th I called. The ice maker has never worked on the 15th. Everything in my freezer defrosted and I lost $150 worth of groceries. Called them. Told them I wanted to return it. They told me I cannot return it. They will not accept it. I have to have LG come out to see if it's fixable or if it's not fixable then I'll get a new one. I don't want a new fridge to be fixed I want a new one and they refused to give me a refund or give me a new fridge until LG comes out and checks it out which will be in a week!!!
I called corporate and still have never received a call back. I will never purchase anything from Home Depot again. Talk to Daniel head of appliances there he was rude, my paperwork says 90-day default warranty and they refuse to refund my fridge that is 8 days old now!!! I will be contacting the news. This is unbelievable to me that a fridge that's not working can't be refunded back after 8 days!!! Very bad business.

I have been fighting with Barlow distributing & Home Depot for 2 days. They have the most ignorant delivery guys I've ever dealt with. They were here but left because they weren't required to do any work. The guy didn't even know where the plug was for the old dishwasher. I have now gotten the old dishwasher out & hauled away. I was told it would be delivered next Wednesday but I decided I don't want that company back in my house at all. I called Home Depot this a.m. for delivery. It's still for Wednesday and Home Depot won't guarantee it from dents or damage because it will be boxed.
This has been & still is a nightmare. I was going to buy a range also but it won't be from Home Depot. I told them I would have someone pick it up. I then asked about a refund on services & was told they'd adjust my bill when it I picked up the item. I won't be with the pick-up person so that will be more drama. The people I dealt with at Home Depot have all been nice but that doesn't get me anything after all I've been though. You'd think Home Depot would care about their reputation but I guess not. I'm willing to bet that none of these complaints have been given any compensation for their troubles.

I recently purchased a dishwasher from Home Depot and their website will not register the 5 year protection plan that I paid for - PO # ** and ORDER # **. The 5 year protection plan should AUTOMATICALLY be registered. I paid for it, I should not have to ask for it or have to register it myself manually. But, if I do need to register the protection plan manually, I expect that after 2 hours of loading that info for it to show on Home Depot's 1975 website. It did not. I called customer service and that person said they simply could not help me and didn't know what I ordered even when they were supplied with the PO # and order # shown above. So what is it? Dumb, incompetent or purposely deceitful? Which is it? Are they making it purposely difficult for customers to register protection plans that the customer pays for? It certainly looks that way.
I recently ordered a refrigerator from Home Depot and had none of these issues, it shows under protection plans. So what is the problem here with the dishwasher? I would not write this complaint if I felt they even cared or were trying to fix the problem. I think next time I need a major purchase like an appliance I'll try Best Buy or LOWE'S. It certainly can't be worse.

We ordered a grill from Home Depot from Monument Grills. When it arrived it was damaged. I immediately called for a replacement and was assured that it would be here within a couple of weeks. This was about six weeks ago and we're still waiting! I have called AWS Global, which is the warranty company for Home Depot on numerous occasions and they can't seem to give me any kind of definite information when they will be receiving a grill from Monument. I will NEVER again order from Home Depot! I will also be contacting Consumer Affairs and the State Attorney General's office! I was required to put one star in order to submit this review, however, if I could have given them zero stars I would!

We are longtime customers of Home Depot. However, we are unlikely to buy online from them again - at least appliances. We ordered an over-the-range microwave oven. We waited the six days for delivery, nothing. We called and they said we had the wrong order number despite the fact that they sent us a purchase receipt with that order number. We called the online order people who called the shipper and after a 20 min wait told us the shipper had only one person who could help us and she was “out on the floor” but would call us back. We never heard from her. The online people suggested we call the local store. The local store told us to call the online order people. I think it’s just pretty obvious by now how things went. Every time we called the store or shipping company we had to speak with a different person and start all over again. Even when we got the name and extension of one person that person was never available.
The original delivery date was June 28, 2018. On Sunday July 1, we received a call from an installer who said he would come out “tomorrow to install your microwave.” We told him that it had never been delivered and we had not been told when it would be. Monday morning we started calling again. Again we got a person at Home Depot that knew nothing about the problem and referred us to the special order associate whom I had already called and who was away from her desk. I then called the delivery company again, spoke with yet another new person who finally found the order and announced that it would be delivered “today” between 2 and 6. Nobody asked us if we would be home or available on this day or time. We waited all day on the 28th for nothing and now we had to schedule yet another day around this delivery.
We will continue to shop at Home Depot for things we can carry out but we have learned our lesson about ordering things that need to be delivered except things we know are coming from their own storage like stone, mulch etc. If you are considering ordering anything else beware that communication between HD departments and between HD and customers can be a real nightmare. Please also read the many similar stories.

Since that 6/18/18, have been going round and round with Home Depot extended warranty (Fridge is 3 years old/5 year warranty) dept and their company Asurion. About 3-4 service calls scheduled and canceled, (not canceled by me). NO techs available to do the specialized repair needed. All repair people (6 I have talked to myself!) have said it is not really repairable, and needs to be trashed, get money back.
Home Depot, Asurion and Samsung keep passing the buck. It is now 6/30/18, and if I don't keep ice packs ins the fridge, it shoots up to at least 50 degrees. I just want my original money back, after fighting, fussing, trying for 17 days, and once again, for about the 4th time I am back at square one with NOTHING decided, planned or communicated to me! As a senior citizen, I can see this issue outliving me, at the rate I am going... HELP!!! All I get are talking point scripts!

I bought a Washing Machine on-line (brand new). It was delivered in the morning, I went to work because I had someone else that was going to install it for me. That night when I got home I went to move the washing machine and when I did there was water swishing around in it and then water leaked out of the bottom of it. When I lifted the lid there was not any water in the washing area, so it was inside at the bottom somewhere. I immediately called Home Depot. For the first hour on the phone, someone answered and then when I told them why I was calling they informed me that they needed to transfer me to the appliance department. So after being on hold again for 10 or so minutes someone else picked up the phone and I let them know why I was calling and was told that they needed to transfer me to the appliance department. This went on about 5 times more.
When finally I guess I was finally put through to the appliance department and told the woman what the problem was and she asked if I had tried hooking it up and running a load of laundry to see what would happen (UNBELIEVABLE). I let her know that I wasn't going to do that especially when I live on the second floor of an apartment. Well she told me that she couldn't do anything about it and would leave a message for the manager for when they get in the morning and would mark it in red so they would know to call me immediately after their morning meeting. Needless to say, I did not receive a phone call that day and called them again when I got home. It was the same thing with the being on hold and being transferred 5 or 6 times since I needed to talk to someone in the appliance department.
This time after getting through to someone I was informed by him that they would need to make a service call for the machine. I let him know that there was absolutely no reason that a brand new washing machine should have water in it and also leak out of the bottom of it so I did not want to have it serviced. I was then informed that was just about my only option that someone had to service it. I told him if that is the case then come and get it and refund my money to me. He then changed his tune and the way it ended was that they were going to exchange it that following Monday. Monday morning I get a call and it is someone letting me know that the service guy was on his way and would be there within the next 30 minutes. I let her know that there was no service scheduled for this machine and why and that they were supposed to be exchanging it. So told her to cancel that request.
After work that night I went directly up to the Home Depot and spoke to several "managers" in that department. The guy that finally agreed to have it exchanged said, "Well I put the order in. I don't know why that happened." The other manager started to look it up on the computer to find it and couldn't but before this his first response with was that he asked the employees if I had reported this within the first 48 Hours! INCREDIBLE! So of course he is on the phone and he is on hold I let him know I had to go and let me know what happens because if you think I'm going to sit here while you are on hold for an hour and a half. I wasn't going to do it. So they assured me that they would call me and let me know something. Well I called them back and was told that they were going to be exchanging it Tuesday morning.
Tuesday morning it is all set up and then I get a call after lunch for someone trying to scheduled a service call not the delivery of exchanging the washing machine. By then I was done. Told them NO SERVICE CALL ON THIS. Let them know they needed to come get it and refund my money. I was FURIOUS! I went back up to Home Depot Tuesday Night after work to let the "Head Manager" of the appliance center how absolutely crazy and atrocious the customer service was and also that they wanted for me to accept what I paid full price for a brand new washer and let them service it when it should of been a no brainer of what needed to happen.
They also tried telling me that maybe it had water left over in it from when it was tested. PLEASE!!! I hope that anyone that ever shops there takes this to heed to be careful. I still haven't received the refund on this machine and they picked it up on JUNE 9! This is twenty days later and yes I have been calling about it and they say they are going to refund the money but it still has not happened.

How is it possible that the consumer is left to repeatedly call, inform and arrange the submission of the Certificate of Insurance Home Depot is required to provide to the building where they will be doing installation? I paid for dishwasher installation and removal of old machine and not only do they not even mention this requirement when placing the order, but when I, the homeowner, informed them of the requirement and provided the email address and number to confirm transmission IN the comments section of the invoice, they didn't do it! I ordered a new front loading Whirlpool washing machine three weeks ago. Original delivery was supposed to take place six days after I ordered machine. The delivery team did not have mounting bolts to install machine and I did not accept delivery. There was no follow up by Home Depot, Whirlpool/Maytag or the delivery agent. Each of the parties were very careful not to take responsibility for the problem. I had to step in a week later and expedite the process. It ended up taking over 17 days before next delivery date. I requested compensation and all Home Depot would offer was a 10% discount. Home Depot did not want to provide amount of discount until after delivery. I forced them to declare discount amount before delivery because I was afraid that they would lowball me. I ended up rejecting transaction.
I must of spent over three hours on hold during the five phone calls I spent dealing with Home Depot and Whirlpool trying to get this transaction straightened out. There was zero accountability by all parties involved in this transaction. Home Depot does not have any system or process to deal with problem situations that come up with major appliances. They are merely acting as a broker. The delivery is contracted out to an outside agent. I suspect the delivery contractor is not compensated for fouled up transactions and does not want to make the follow-up trip. There is no incentive for any party to follow up on the transaction. It ultimately comes down to Home Depot to resolve situation and they are not set up to handle it. You have to call your local store and find one of the two on-site managers.
There must be at least four different managers and it seems like you get a different manager each time you call. It is very difficult to reach these people and they are extremely busy. Even if you have their direct phone extension, it is difficult to reach them because they are so busy - expect to be on hold for 20-30 minutes each time. It was also obvious to me that none of the managers really cared if they kept my business or not - the individual store does not really become involved with the transaction unless there is a problem. The system is set up with nobody incentivized to make sure the transaction runs smoothly. There is really nowhere to go to complain. I am not used to that when spending over $1,000 for an item.

Let me get this straight that Home Depot was not the issue. As a matter of fact, during my home renovation project, Home Depot in Emeryville, CA and online have been excellent. I have bought everything from faucets, to paint, and baseboards. The customer service at Home Depot was top notch. This is the only time that someone affiliated with them disappointed me.
I ordered an entire kitchen appliance in-person at Home Depot in Emeryville, CA. Again, the personnel who helped me order were great and were able to save me a few hundred dollars due to the volume I'm ordering and found me several coupons I didn't know even existed. I told them that I was going through a renovation and my kitchen may not be ready. They advised that I can select a later order date and only move it once I have a definite date. I chose July 6 knowing that I will have to change that later. The two sales clerk told me that this is a 3rd party delivery and installer service. They said that it is hard to get ahold of them and advised that I change the delivery date a week or two before the actual date.
A couple of weeks later, I still don't have a kitchen, but Memorial Day sale came on. I called Home Depot and advised that my appliances are not yet delivered by the prices dropped. Just like that, I got refunded the difference. Again, kudos to the Home Depot personnel in Emeryville. My contractor gave me an estimated date when the countertops will be on. I called the delivery company to have change my delivery date. I called the number of the delivery company, which was given to me in a page that accompanied my invoice. The paper said to call that number if I need to reschedule. The phone prompt said to press 4 if I need reschedule. I press to reschedule and it asks you to enter the date using the phone pad. I enter the date and before confirmation a person picks up. I told her that I just rescheduled using the phone prompts and she confirmed that I'm scheduled for June 4.
A few days later, my contractor asked that I change my delivery date, because something went wrong with the kitchen. I call the delivery company and I go through the prompts and I type in for June 8. Again, just before confirmation someone picks up. I asked for confirmation and she stated I'm scheduled for July 6. I was surprised by that and I said I changed the date to June 4 and now I need it to June 6. She said delivery changes doesn't work that way and I have to call each appliance manufacturer to change my delivery date. Why did the initial girl confirmed my delivery date of June 6? This is my first pissed off session with them. They will not do anything to change the date.
I called Home Depot and told them what happened. This lady, Ms. Lawana **, another associate at Home Depot in Emeryville, CA was super sweet. She said that we do have to call each manufacturer to change the delivery date. I asked if it's easier to cancel the entire order or cancel each one. She said if I cancel and reorder, I may lose my Memorial Day savings. Ms. ** said she'll take care of it and she'll call me back. 2 Hours later Ms. ** calls me back and reported that she called each manufacturer and changed the delivery date. She said it did take 2 hours. Again, kudos to Home Depot. I make arrangements at work to take the day off on June 8.
On June 6, I get a text message stating that my appliances will be delivered on June 8. On June 7, I get another text that I'll get my appliances tomorrow, June 8. On June 7, I also received a phone call that my appliances will get delivered between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM. On June 8, I stay at home. I have to get breakfast outside, since I do not have a kitchen. I come back home at around 8:50 AM. At, 10:16 AM, I get a phone call from a local number and a person told me that my appliances will arrive in about 30 minutes. I wait. 30 minutes have passed and I continue to wait.
12 PM rolls around and I call the 877 number provided in the Home Depot delivery sheet and after navigating to check my delivery status, it states, "You have a delivery today. Your driver is on time between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM." I would press the prompt to text me of real time updates. I did this every so often to check my status until 1:30 PM. It is already passed my scheduled block. I call the 877 numbers several times and there is no option to talk to anybody. I try and try and look at the status and over and over it states, "You have a delivery today. Your driver is on time between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM." I'm already furious and I still could not get ahold of a real person.
I call Home Depot and they gave me a local 510 number for the delivery company. I call the number and, finally, a person picked up, but it might as well be a robot; since, she was that helpful. I at least, finally got their name, Simple Logistics. She told me that she sees notes in my order that I did get a call at 10:17 AM, but she said she can't understand the notes after it. She said they were in "Chinese." She said, she'll call me back. I never got a callback. I call Home Depot again and told them what is happening. They look at my order number and see the reschedule I made from July 6 to June 8. They'll investigate and call me back.
I called the Simple Logistics again and I spoke to a Jessica. She said that my items are not delivered, because they were incomplete. My jaw dropped to the floor and I went into a tirade. I asked her why didn't anyone call me? She said that was GE's responsibility to call me, which was the missing item. I asked her why didn't they call me back? She said she didn't know. The status says pending but they did not know. She said that they rescheduled my delivery to the 14th. I said, someone called me this morning and told me 30 minutes. Why couldn't they call me to let me know of the cancellation and reschedule? She couldn't explain. I asked for a manager and she said the manager is unavailable. I asked for an on-call manager and she said they don't have one. I hung up pissed off.
By the way, I did try to call back the number that called me at 10:17 AM, but no one was picking up and I couldn't leave a voicemail. I called Home Depot and another nice Home Depot personnel picked up and I explained to her what happened. She admittedly stated that she doesn't know what to do with this and transferred me to her manager on duty, Crystal. I was already ticked off. I did my best to avoid yelling. I told Crystal the story and she too said she can't do anything. I asked, "Why didn't anyone call me to notify me of the issues and changes?" She said the delivery company was supposed to do that.
I waited at home, in a torn down kitchen and living room from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM waiting. I kept calling the delivery's 877 number and it kept repeating the message, "You have a delivery today. Your driver is on time between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM," even at 3:30 PM. I asked Crystal what can they do. I asked if they can use a different delivery service. They don't have that option. She gave me the typical, "I understand."
I understand Crystal and Home Depot is not at fault, but this is their outsourced company. I asked Crystal what can she do for me for this lost time? I offered different option. I was so upset that, think about it, some of my suggestion was absurd. Crystal did offer to comp me $200, but I'll receive it after the installation. I accepted, but I advised her that I don't care about the money. I want to disassociate with Simple Logistics. I'm really upset about not getting called of the changes. They made me wait and wasted an entire day. I asked Crystal to put the comp in writing, which she emailed me. Also, I asked Crystal if I can cancel without penalty. She said yes, but she advised against it, because of the coupons and Memorial Day savings. I told her I'll think about it.
I quickly called the other vendors I worked with researching these appliances. I called both Best Buy's Pacific Sales and Airport Appliance. I told both of them what happened and I emailed them my invoices. Both stated they'll get a comparable price but may not get as low. I asked for quotes, which both were working on. I called Simple Logistics again and Jessica answered again. I told her I'm giving them one last chance. I'm really upset about not being notified of the cancellation and reschedule. I told her to reschedule my delivery from the 14th. I said tomorrow, Saturday, or Monday.
She said she can't. The earliest is the 14th. I told her bump someone else off; it seems like it's something they can easily do without notification. I asked for a manager again, and she told me what she said earlier, that she's gone for the day. I said, "You have one last chance; otherwise, you're going to lose this business." There was no, "Let me try", or "Let me get back to you." It was just, "I can't." I hung up.
I called Crystal back and requested to cancel all my orders. I told her, unless they can disassociate me with Simple Logistics, I'll cancel my entire order. Crystal complied without pushing back. I know this is not her their fault, but this is their contracted delivery service. There must be an agreement regarding customer satisfaction. I ended up with Airport Appliance. I'm paying a few hundred dollars more, but I can't deal with Simple Logistics. Also, I've shopped with Airport Appliance before and I have been very happy with their service and product.

I was forced to buy a new refrigerator when my LG bought at Home Depot died over Memorial Day weekend. While the compressor was under warranty, we learned that it only covered the part and not labor. We decided to buy a Whirlpool refrigerator from Home Depot. After waiting a week, it was delivered Home Depot's delivery service, Raymer's. Their people spoke no English! They were supposed to hook up the water line and level the doors but claimed they didn't know how. They abruptly left and told us to call Home Depot. I called Home Depot back only to learn that Raymer's s/h hooked this up...so I called Raymers and they dropped the call on me twice after being on hold for 20 minutes each time. Then I called Home Depot back and demanded they get someone out here to level refrigerator doors and connect water line. Raymer's came back out 5 days later.
I had luan plywood on hardwood floors to prevent scratches. They insisted they could not get fridge out with luan there (even though first set of delivery men did pull it out onto plywood) and they drove deep scratches into my newly done hardwood floors! Then they never removed the toe plate to try and level the doors...claimed that our floors were uneven. They didn't hook up water line either. All in all, the visit has costed me thousands now due to the damage to my floors. And, my husband removed toe plate and was easily able to level doors so handles aligned. Thanks a lot Home Depot. You've lost a customer for life! Never again will I purchase anything from your store...not even a $5 plant! This is a criminal operation going on and you need to be held accountable for the delivery service you employ!

Two weeks later Home Depot delivered the Telescoping Downdraft, but unfortunately, the Telescoping didn't fit on the range. So, the Fred (the electrician) tried several times to returned to Home Depot the Telescoping but Home Depot rejected it, insisted he have to bring the credit card that paid for the Telescoping, however, Fred, explained I wasn't in US. I was outside of the country for four months.
I back on May and tried to returned the Telescoping with the credit card, but Home Depot didn't accepted argument had been pass more than sixty days and GE won't received it. I don't understand why Home Depot don't accepted this return??? I wasn't here and in January Fred tried to return you didn't accepted... Why. What do you want I do with this appliance? I don't know what can I do with this appliance... I would like to be your customer and order another appliances, but I won't do it with this terrible experience.

I ordered Kitchen Aid dishwasher the first week of April 2018. It showed up a week later, damaged. The delivery folks pointed out the damage, wrote "reject" on the paperwork, and left with the promise to reorder a new dishwasher for me. Several weeks later, no dishwasher. I called Home Depot and the manufacture and was told it would be there in four day. No dishwasher. I called for a refund and ordered the same dishwasher from Lowe's the same day.
A week and a half later, the new dishwasher from Lowe's was installed. However, I still did not have a refund from Home Depot. Called HD again and they had made no progress on the refund. Out of frustration, I turned the credit over to the credit card company. Two months late, I still do not have a credit for the HD charge. The credit card company stated that HD is not responding to request for information. I'm not surprised.
HD charged my card the moment I ordered the dishwasher. Lowe's didn't charge until I had it. HD uses contracted delivery service. Lowe's delivers directly from their store using their trust and driver. Here is the really big difference. HD will not allow for a return due to damage. You must reject the delivery... And even then they refuse to issue a credit from my experience. Lowe's will allow you to return the a major appliance even after it has been delivered. HD better get control of their band and stop offloading their deliveries to a third party. Giving away the last contact with the customer is a huge mistake. This is the last opportunity to make someone happy they did business with you or the first opportunity to make sure they never do business with you again. I used to love going to HD. After this, I will never buy another appliance from HD and will try to avoid going into the store if possible.

HATE IT! My delivery was supposed to be on May 19th. Somehow Home Depot screwed that up and attempted to deliver on May 18th with no notifications. I did not get a time frame when the appliance would be delivered. May 26- 1 of the 3 appliances came. The dryer was damaged and the dishwasher was lost and did not show up. I immediately called and put an urgent callback and wanted to get my appliances soon. The lady said the escalating team would call back in 48 hours and no one called.
On Tuesday May 29, I called and complained. The lady on the phone said the dishwasher was delivered and I said I never even saw it in my house. May 30rd I followed up again and they said they would call back on May 31st. It is June 5th and no one has called me yet. All the agents on the phone apologized for this. But 3 weeks later I still don't have a call back from the initial complaint or the follow ups I did. On June 5 I still did not get my appliances after filing complaints and following up 4 times. I wish I never ordered here. After all Home Depot is not an appliance store! I hate the delivery team! Messed my life up! For 3 weeks I am waiting on delivery of my appliances! We have a GE refrigerator that we purchased 2 years ago. After the first year the water and ice machine stopped working. When we called we were told we can fix it and no one ever came to fix. Fine, we left it alone. This time around fridge stopped getting cold and all the food went bad. Mind you water and ice machine still don't work. It has been a whole MONTH! We have no working fridge. We're paying for 5 year warranty. People have came and left and still has NOT been resolved. GE service people said there is nothing more to do. Home Depot service people said it can be fixed but will only be temporary.
At this point, we are more than LIVID that they can't simply replace the fridge. We have 2 babies at home aged 1 and half. We're living or better yet surviving off a cooler and ice that we must purchase everyday. The babies need fresh food and milk yet it's hard because we have no working fridge. What is the point of the 5 year warranty? If Home Depot can't assist us. 1 whole month and still nothing is getting done. Our case manager has not returned or bothered to answer our calls. It's been a week or more and still no word. Worse service ever! I am writing this with tears in my eyes because it's NOT fair to be paying for a warranty and we can't get this resolved especially because we 2 babies at home and NO working fridge.

Having purchased a Samsung upright refrigerator, it was delivered the Friday before Memorial Day. Home Depot's delivery and install crew showed up two hours early in a rental truck speaking very little English and sporting a hostile attitude. The install was represented as installing the water line. The install consisted of a two foot piece of water line for which they charged me $9. The old refrigerator had a water hook up but when I tried the water on the new refrig, there was nothing. The response when I pointed that out was that all he was supposed to do was install the two foot piece of line.
I fixed that later by turning the water back on from under the sink. Next they were missing the door handle screw for the freezer door. They reported that to their company saying they would send another screw and promptly left. It's been a week and no replacement screw. I'm disappointed in Home Depot for using this obviously subpar installing outfit. I found the part number for the screw on Amazon. It's a very small quarter inch screw. Amazon wants $9 for it. Disappointing for sure but more and more typical of the no service oriented large retailers.

I ordered a mini refrigerator online on 2/24/2018. On 2/27/2018, HD warehouse sent and left outside of my rental property a wrong product (a heavy grill over 150 pounds). Chatted with HD customer service and asked the wrong product be picked up right away since it's way too heavy for a skinny 60+ old lady to pull it inside and since our community had serious vandalism issues. HD agreed that I should not have any responsibility if the shipment was stolen or damaged in rain... Per HD, two days after UPS came to pick it up and found nothing outside... Contacted HD, and got "you need to take the product to UPS directly to return it. Once we get the returned item, we can refund you..."
Told HD that I never got my mini refrigerator. How could I return it? The heavy grill sitting outside my condo was disappeared within those two days period (who knows when and how). Finally, HD said I should contact my credit card company for a refund. Filed dispute with Chase and ended up with no refund since "Chase contacted HD and said the vendor claimed the product was shipped..." So, almost 3 months passed, I had paid for a mini refrigerator but still haven't got it from HD and no refund from HD.

Home Depot advertises they will beat any competitors price by 10%. Their ad is deceptive and misleading. On April 29, 2018, the Appliance Department Manager at Home Depot in Myrtle Beach confirmed a lower price at a nearby Best Buy for the exact same clothes dryer, and on the internet put the dryer in her cart - confirming it was available. She then said they would not match Best Buy, and some other stores - let alone beat it by 10%.
When I sent an e-mail to customer service (case **), they said they didn't match Best Buy if it was more than 25 miles away, but in this case Best Buy was only a mile or two away. I think Home Depot should clarify their web-site advertised claim that they beat any competitor's price by 10% - they wouldn't even MATCH it - let alone beat it - if they exclude specific stores. The Dept. Mgr. said there were other stores in addition to Best Buy whose prices they wouldn't match either. They should clarify their Price "Guarantee" in that case!
They also informed me that if an item is on sale, they will not honor the 10% veterans' discount. I think they should be specific with the vets about that also - since Lowe's DOES take the 10% off items on sale. We left Home Depot and bought the clothes dryer at Lowe's - for less than at Best Buy PLUS the military 10% discount.

This story happened on May 2nd 2018 and today is May 4th 2018 with no series action by Home Depot Richmond Hill branch. The deliver two men came to delivery to the house I’m renting the washing machine. The delivery man (tall man) came asking where is the location to install the new washing machine, is showed him the laundry room. He found that the old washing machine was not disconnected from the water inlet and the drainage, so he took picture of that (like he is waiting to find a problem), then he asked why the washing machine has not been disconnected from the inlet water. Is told him is did not know that we have to disconnect it, he said it's in the contract. Is told him, "I’m not the buyer I’m renting the house." Then is told it's fine is can discount it now. He said in angry way, "You are wasting our time, we have too much work to do, you should have it discounted it before we come."
Is said it would not take 3-5 min., so before he brings the new washing machine is had disconnected the old one. So he took out the old washing machine, is went on the floor of the small laundry room to clean under the old washing machine. When he came in the laundry from with the new washing machine and my wife is also inside the laundry room and he was going to put it over my feet (without even asking us to leave the laundry so he can have the free space to enter the washing machine and install it). When my wife asked him to take carry he is going to but it over my feet. Then he got very angry and start shooting you are wasting our times, so I started telling him, that is have been doing my best to help to finish your job but is do not work for you to shoot at us. We are customers and we have the right of respect and better behavior.
Then he left the new washing machine at the door entrance, took the old washing machine saying, "You call Home Depot to do the installation for you." And his colleague start shooting at me on the street. What you did not correct and you are wasting our time, is told I’m trying my best to help to do your job. He said no we are leaving, is told him this would lead that is will complain to the company, come finish your job, he said "Since we came you want us to lose our jobs"! I told him why do is know you from before? Is never met you before, your behavior would lead you to lose your job, then the other one (the tall man) start shooting from the door of the track and he ended his shoot with the "** Word", I said to him what did you say start videoing him to say it again, and he would not have the courage to say it again but waived with his hand to go away and is do have the video for that.
I completed for over two time on the phone to Home Depot and is went to the store to meet with the store manager and should some sympathy and not happy from what happen. Then send to his assistant, she send a complain email message to the delivery company, but up till now (more than 48 hrs.) they did not do the installation and would not the authority over the delivery company to force them to do the installation today! This is one of the worst customer service is every faced. They are good in sorry and apologizing but with no action! Not sure now if I’m going to get any apology from the Home Depot of the delivery person who told me the "** Word". Home Depot service might be good in story and after that it's SO SO Bad SERVICE. So if you order any product from Home Depot get ready to get the "** Word" on the delivery time!

Historically, my experiences with Home Depot have been mostly good enough. Do NOT purchase appliances from Home Depot -- Their policies are not competitive and their service is below par. Had I read the Return Exceptions section, I would never have placed an appliances order with Home Depot. (Compare how Lowe's, Best Buy, Aj Madison and other well known suppliers handle exception cases -- No contest.)
Home Depot delivered the washer and dryer, but did not unwrap the appliances and set them in place, per their commitment and policy, as I understand it. They just dropped the boxed appliances with my contractor, and left. The boxes were in perfect condition -- we have a pic. As HD had not unwrapped, my contractor made the call to leave them packaged until install time, for protection. Had the boxes been damaged, my contractor would either have refused delivery, or investigated further and reported damage. Standard practice for licensed contractors.
Rehab schedule had slipped, so install was delayed. On installation day, contractor unwrapped appliances. Dryer appeared perfect. Washer was badly dented in front. A cosmetic issue, but also possibly a functional problem, as it appeared the unit had been hit hard. Obvious that GE had placed a badly damaged appliance inside a nice new box.
Home Depot and GE will not replace the washer because we had not reported the damage within 48 hours of delivery. Nevermind that their delivery people didn't do their job, or that we've spent many thousands of dollars at HD in recent years, and more than that during the course of the relationship. We're stuck with a badly damaged appliance (compact washer $900+). If you do rehabs as we do, you know this is not a desirable or sustainable arrangement. And after 30 or more years purchasing from Home Depot, for both personal and professional projects, it's a deal breaker when they don't have my back in a outlier case such as this. We're done with Home Depot. So long, GE.

I ordered a refrigerator from Home Depot's website. I had some delivery issues, so I included a description of the issues in the product review. Home Depot rejected the review, stating it violated their guidelines. I could not find any violation. I assume that they reject any review with a negative description of the delivery and installation.
MY REJECTED REVIEW: Big freezer, so you have to lean over to look into the lower compartment. I hoped that this new fridge would be less noisy, compared to my 33 year old Whirlpool. It's not. Significant amount of hissing and gurgling. Overall the fridge looks nice, but the plastic handles look and feel cheap. Seems like the lower door should have 1 more adjustable shelf. It has 3, but 4 would be better.
I have to give Home Depot a POOR rating for the online delivery. During the online chat, and on a phone call, I specifically stated that I needed a LEFT hand door. I was told that the fridge would arrive with the doors off and that the delivery people could assemble it with the door hinges on either side. The delivery man did not ask me about door positions, and brought the fridge into my house assembled with the door hinges on the wrong side! I noticed grease and metal flakes from the assembly. I decided not to have them remove and reassemble the doors, so I did it myself. After rearranging the doors I noticed that the fridge was rocking. The delivery guy had not offered to balance the fridge. I adjusted the screws and balanced the fridge myself. I think that most customers, that are not mechanically inclined, would be quite disappointed with a fridge that is not assembled to specification, and not balanced.

However, on the day of delivery they never showed up at the appointed time. The driver did not make the promised pre-delivery call and I got a phone message saying that the driver was leaving as he had waited 15 minutes. There were three people home and the doorbell never rang. When I called the delivery company back, it was clear that they had gone to the wrong address (they wrote down a description of the house). The driver agreed to return to the correct address and re-deliver but he returned to the wrong address again and then refused to go to the correct one (which had been on the bill of lading all the time).
The company then said I would have to wait another week for delivery but could not explain why I should believe that this wouldn't happen again the following week and they could provide no reassurance. I then cancelled my order and Home Depot will not give the funds back for 10 days, even though they never showed up at my house with the appliances. No one was empathetic and expressed any concern about what had happened. I WILL NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM HOME DEPOT AGAIN!!!

I ordered a replacement KitchenAid dishwasher online from Home Depot. I also ordered and paid for installation. The dishwasher took a week to arrive and when the delivery guys brought it in, they said they couldn't install it because my current dishwasher was hard wired. They said they're running into this a lot. Buying in the store, the associate would have covered this. Not so online. They told me I should accept the delivery and call the store to arrange for installation. When I called the store, they told me I should call the online appliance number. I called Online Customer Service about 6 different times. You just can't get past the VRU. One of the menu choices is for deliveries or issues with recent deliveries but that path only gets you choices for date and time update or disconnecting the call. I tried all of the typical tricks like hitting "0" and could never get to a person. After 45 minutes, I gave up. Never again.

Bought a GE washer and dryer on April 3rd and was told it would be delivered by Thursday of that week which would be the 6th of April. Got a call from GE that they have a back order for this particular model and that it would not be delivered until the 17th of April, keep in mind that our washer was inoperable that is why we were purchasing the washer and dryer in the first place. Got another call about a week later stating the same thing and that it would not be delivered until the 27th of April. I then called GE since that is who was calling me and not Home Depot which kind of disturbed me, spoke with a rep who didn’t hardly speak English and they Informed me of basically the same thing, they were on back order and there was nothing they could do about it, I could either wait or get a refund. I chose a refund since they could not guarantee me it would definitely be delivered on the 3rd of May ,a month after I had purchased it.
Since I used a credit card I had to go up to the store at 10 pm at night and get a refund since we were in desperate need of a washer. I spoke with a manager which was on duty and he said we could possibly get another one that was in stock or purchase another one and we would have to make up the difference or take the floor model with a reduced cost which was only 15% and the units were scratched and bent from hell and back, those were our options. They had nothing in stock that was worth buying and if they weren’t at least gonna give us 50% off the floor model we would have to get a refund.
We chose to get a refund which we wanted cash which took an hour to get which makes no sense, when we purchase anything it has to paid immediately but they can take however amount of time they need. I will never purchase anything else from Home Depot especially appliances. Purchased the same washer and dryer for about $100 more and they delivered in two days, it was worth it, thank you Conn's.

Get somebody that tells me it's too late today there in the central time zone but first thing tomorrow morning they will get right on it. Call the next afternoon to find out what is happening and am informed it will be the next day before they will know anything for sure.
Again call the next afternoon and am informed that they can't get a repair company to come out and will make a decision about just paying what I spent plus tax towards another water heater, this by the way is Friday and they won't have an answer until the following Wednesday. All this time I've no hot water. They can't find a repair company, give me a break. The phonebook has three pages of appliance repair companies. One of the worst experience I have ever had. This review is for the product delivery/installation process for a dishwasher and microwave. I waited over 2 hours past the 4-hour delivery window, before I gave up and call it quits. The delivery/install folks was suppose to show up between 10 AM to 2 PM. I called around 1 PM just to make sure everything was on track, the customer service lady said, "Yes you are delivery #8 and they are currently on delivery #7." I called again at 2 PM, the same story. I kept hearing, "Oh they should be there in 15 min" every time I call to find out what was going on. Eventually I gave up at 4 PM. And by 5:30 PM I still had no idea what happened (3 1/2 hour past the 4-hour window). I eventually got a call at almost 6 PM, saying something went wrong, we can reschedule for tomorrow at 9 AM!

I bought a hot water heater from the Home Depot Store Maple, Hts, Ohio on 4-11-2018. When I got it home and paid the installers to install it, a little while after I got upstairs I was called back down to take a look at the hot water heater I had just purchased. And shown a big dent at the bottom. I was asked what I wanted to do. I told him if they thought it might be a problem, he told me to wait while he called the manufacturer. Rheem told them the problem and they asked him how deep was the dent and told him it should be ok but it was documented and told it had the 12 year warranty. The installer asked me what I wanted to do. I told him if they said it should be OK then go ahead and install it, because I did not have the time to have it repacked and have him take it back and pay the installers for additional time.
At the same time I called the Home Depot store where I purchased in Maple Hts, Ohio and explained it to the customer service person. They seemed as if they did not care if I had just purchased damaged goods from their store. So I got online and answered the survey about my recent purchase experience and marked the box to call. The next day I received a called from the store manager. He stated his name was Scott. I explained the situation. He asked me if I had the receipt and a photo ID. I answered yes and also told him the installers took a picture and sent it to my phone that I could also show him. He asked me what he could do to make it right.
First of all I did not like how he turned it around and put the ball in my court after stating he would give me $40. He told me he would be in the next couple of days at 12 noon when could I come in to talk to him. I told Scott that most likely Monday the 16th but I was not able to make it until Tuesday the 17th and when I reached my local Home Depot in Maple Hts, Ohio. I went to the customer service counter and told the young lady I was there to see Scott. She began to interrogate me with questions my name, why did I want to speak with Scott, what was he going to do for me so I told her which really felt uncomfortable, because Scott told me he would talk to me and tell his managers the situation.
She called Scott from the customer service desk told him I was there, he never even came out to talk to me or see the picture of the damage goods I bought from the Maple Hts Home Depot. I thought this matter was very poorly handled. Luckily there is a Lowe's home furnishing store closer to me than Home Depot. I was hoping to show him how damaged the water heater was and explain how frustrating my day had become. And if he felt like $43 was compensation for buying goods and having installers calling about the product and the possibility of me paying extra for the installers taking it back and having no hot water was the solution to this problem after buying other big-ticket items at his store. His insight is very dangerous for the future of the Maple Hts Home Depot. Thank You for not solving my problem and switching my loyalty in the future to Lowe's for my future rehabbing of house.

The supervisor told me that he gets wrong emails from the headquarters all the time, and that it was no big deal. I told him that it was NOT okay to treat customers this way, regardless of the internal communications problems their company has. Don't buy appliances from Home Depot. Their delivery service is absolutely terrible. My husband purchased an appliance set from Home Depot for my birthday. I was so excited! Then came the delivery. So, they brought my new refrigerator in the house. Next they brought in the stove. When they brought in the microwave they immediately noticed that it was damaged. So they had me sign a form that they would order another microwave. They said that it was damaged in the Box. They said they would order another microwave then they were in a big hurry to leave.
Before they left I discovered a dent in the refrigerator. I told them. They gave me a discount for the dent in the refrigerator... - that was good. The next microwave arrived a couple weeks later. Upon arrival, they looked at the microwave and discovered it too was dented and so they returned it. When the 3rd microwave arrived a couple weeks later, it was not dented! I was so excited!
Now weeks after buying my appliances I am finally going to get them all in! The installer put the Microwave up on the old bracket from the previous microwave. He had his buddy hold it while he went to get something. That's when it happened... the microwave fell right on top of my brand new glass top. It made a ding in the glass top. It dented the back of the stove small dents, yes, but still there. I was also worried about how that heavy microwave landing on the glass top might have in some way damage the glass. They tried to get me to say the microwave was damaged in the box again since it was damaged by the fall.
When he had me sign my name I told him I could not say that it was damaged in the Box as he was trying to get me to say. So we went ahead and changed it to say that the micro had actually dropped on the stove. I told him I wanted to have some remuneration for the Damage Done to the stove. Home Depot has still not giving me any remuneration. On top of that, I had to reorder the microwave myself when it did not show up 2 weeks later... On the whole, the manager of Home Depot has been helpful but done absolutely nothing. I have been kind, patient, and yet I can't help but be frustrated. It is now been almost a year since I order my appliances. I have still not seen any remuneration from Home Depot So, in short I would not advise buying from this company.

The Home Depot Salesperson at Watertown (H2602) branch was very informative and made the order easy and smooth. We submitted the initial date of the delivery to be on next Tuesday 2/27 one week from the order day, though due to the unavailability of my contractor on site, Kevin called to changed the date to Saturday 2/24th. The Home Delivery Service confirmed the change and we were assured that the delivery will arrive on Saturday and I will get the confirmation call on Friday evening. I asked my electrician/plumber to wait on site on Saturday to accept the delivery and hook them up.
When we didn't get the confirmation call Friday night, I called the Home Depot Delivery Service on Saturday morning as the contractor reserved his afternoon for the job, the delivery service and after waiting for half an hour with music only came back with apology that they didn't find the products neither the truck, they assured us that they will call in one hour to confirm. Around 12 noon we went to Home Depot and met with Kevin the salesperson, he tried to contact the delivery service and GE and after nearly one hour and a half I got the answer that the delivery might be out on the truck or not loaded yet...no track of what so ever of my order...but in case they arrive we have to wait and my contractor now is on site waiting and waiting... No call, no truck and no delivery of my confirmed order.
My credit card was charged for the products and my contractor charged me for the job as he was there and it was a waste of his time. Sunday, I called furious and again after one hour of waiting, the Home Depot Delivery representative assured me that the delivery will arrive on Tuesday 2/27 the initial day (The day that neither me or my contractor can make it). The day never been changed even there was a confirmation. Also, for the inconvenience the representative assured me that there will be a compensation after I signed on receiving the product. I have to call back after delivery and they will issue the compensation direct after the call. On Tuesday 2/17 I ask to leave early my work to meet the delivery. I got a call that within 45 minutes the delivery will be at site, I was waiting for one hour and 15 minutes until they came.
I called the delivery service to confirm the delivery and confirm the compensation as I was instructed and after waiting on phone for 30 minutes, the delivery service representative told me there is no record whatsoever about compensation and I have to call GE to ask for that and he gave me another 1-866 number. I went back to Home Depot and I said my story and they said that there are many complains about this Delivery Service Company and they are thinking seriously to change it. I purchased a side-by-side refrigerator delivered 2/9/18. The first team put a small hole in the wall when they brought in the refrigerator. The old refrigerator was picked up a few days later after water-line disconnect. When the next team arrived, I showed the small hole to the first male at the door. I asked that he watch out for when they moved the old refrigerator out. I stood several feet behind him as they left and saw the doorknob bash the wall, making a much deeper hole, extending damage on the right side.
They had piled tools, parts, the harnesses and belts they wear, all of this, on my kitchen table, and without being rude, I let them know I only use the table (countertop) for eating. The man removing the handles immediately removed the things, but the other male seemed annoyed. I could be wrong, either way, he was careless when he left and damaged the wall more after I had asked him to be careful. The front door opening was 35.5 inches. They had removed the handles from the old refrigerator. It was 31.5 inches. This absolutely could have been prevented.

Home Depot Complaint – 24Feb2018. Mr. Jeff Kinnaird (HD President in Canada), I would like your assistance resolving my complaint with your company, as I have gotten nowhere with what I would loosely call your "customer service" department. On Jan. 9, 2018 I ordered a Maytag Model MDB8959SFE dishwasher. I received a call on January 19, 2018 to advise the dishwasher would be delivered the next day. Said dishwasher was delivered as promised, on January 20, 2018. The delivery company (Armstrong the Movers) unpackaged the dishwasher in my driveway and brought it into my house open, and took a photo of the front of it, where they left it in my kitchen(?).
On January 21, the installer attended at my house to install the dishwasher. He moved the dishwasher out of where the installers had left it. He tried to open the door and noted that the door was very difficult to open. He inspected it further and discovered that the frame and wheels were bent up to the extent that it was impossible to install, it wouldn't even fit into the opening if he tried. In his opinion, it appeared that the dishwasher may have been dropped by the delivery people. I immediately called the HD Customer Service line to report the problem. I was told that HD was sorry. I was told that she would send an email for the replacement to be processed the following morning (Monday), that the supplier would be contacted and that a replacement dishwasher would be ordered Monday January 22, 2018, and that the new dishwasher would arrive in 7-10 business days.
I was told that I would receive a phone call from the delivery company about when it would be delivered, as HD was unable to provide me with an exact date, only that it would be 7-10 business days. At around that time, I never received a call from HD or anyone else to advise when my replacement dishwasher would arrive. In the meantime, before the installer left, I arranged for the installer to return to my home in 2 weeks, as I was told the replacement would be delivered in 7-10 business days.
On Jan 24, when I was at work, apparently the delivery company (who a few days later I discovered was Armstrong the Mover) came by my house, with no advance notice the night before or the day of, to pick up the broken dishwasher. A VM was left at 12:06 pm advising that they were at my house to pick up the dishwasher. I ret'd the call at the number on my call display at 12:33 pm and rec'd no answer. When I arrived home after work, I discovered a ripped up note was left at my door, with the contact phone number missing and no company name on it other than Home Depot, making it impossible to call whoever left the note (other than Home Depot). I received no advanced notice that anyone was coming that day to pick up the broken dishwasher, so, not surprisingly, I was at work and not at home.

On January 25, 2018 I called HD Customer Service to ask if they had sent someone to my house on Jan 24. The woman on the phone said she had no record of anyone being dispatched to my house by HD, but said she would look into it further and call me back. She called me back a little while later, and left a VM to advise that she spoke with the manufacturer and that even they did not send anyone to my home (i.e. neither HD nor the supplier dispatched anyone), so she had no idea who had attended there.
She also advised that my replacement had not yet been processed (after I had been promised on January 21 that the customer service rep would send an email so it could be processed first thing the following morning (Monday), so that I would receive delivery in 7-10 business days from January 22). She apologized for the inconvenience. I was told that I would not be charged another delivery fee... I told her that I would most certainly not be paying a delivery fee for products that were being delivered broken (so thanks SO MUCH HD for not charging ME delivery fees for YOUR delivery of broken products, that was much too kind... sic).
In the meantime, I received another VM from Armstrong asking me to call them. About Jan 26, I called HD Customer Service AGAIN to ask, if HD had dispatched someone to pick up the broken dishwasher. I asked when the replacement dishwasher would be delivered. She checked the system and advised me that the replacement dishwasher HAD NOT EVEN BEEN ORDERED, and that it would be ANOTHER 7-10 days from Jan 27 (adding another 5 days of waiting, due to customer service not processing my replacement order when they said they would). She apologized for the inconvenience. This was when things really started to go downhill. HD Customer Service said Armstrong had tried to reach me a couple times and that at this point they will just pick up the broken dishwasher when the replacement is delivered. I also returned Armstrong the Mover's VM call on Jan 27 x 2, and received no callback.
On Feb 3, I called my installer to advise that as I had heard nothing from HD about when my replacement dishwasher would arrive, I was canceling our scheduled installation date for Feb 4. Hearing nothing from anyone about a delivery date or pick up date of the old dishwasher, on February 4, 2018 I called HD's customer service line AGAIN... Asking what is the status of my replacement dishwasher as no one has called me to advise when it will be coming, and it was now at the 7-10 business days they had promised both on Jan 22 and Jan 25 and I had heard nothing about when it would be delivered. I was advised that the replacement dishwasher should be in around Tuesday, February 6.
On Feb 5, 2018, I called Armstrong the Movers to request delivery on Sat. Feb 10, as I work during the week and would be unable to accept delivery on a weekday. They made arrangements for Feb 10. On Feb 9, I again called my installer to come on Feb 11, to install the replacement dishwasher. On Feb 10, Armstrong the Movers called to advise they would be delivering shortly. They arrived at my home and unpacked the dishwasher in my driveway. Then, one of the drivers sheepishly came up to my door and advised that THIS dishwasher was damaged as well (SERIOUSLY!). The replacement dishwasher was loaded back on the truck and did not even come into my house. I asked if they could take the first dishwasher as well - they said they could not, and for me to call HD to make appropriate arrangements, so that the proper paperwork would be done for them to pick it up.
Right away, on Feb 10, I called HD Customer Service AGAIN, to advise yet another broken dishwasher had arrived today. I asked for compensation such as a 20% discount due to all of the inconvenience I had experienced to date, as well as my wasted time waiting at home for deliveries of broken appliances, poor customer service, wasted time on the phone to customer service, orders not processed as promised, etc. I was told that compensation is not possible, unless I accepted the broken dishwasher. Another apology... Complete empty words at this point. I said, "If you're not going to compensate me in some way, I had no faith in HD's products," that as a result I felt their customer service was reprehensible, and that I wanted the dishwasher removed and my money back. The Customer Service Rep told me there would be a restocking fee.
At that point, I expressed my sincere displeasure regarding HD's lack of customer service, and asked to speak to his supervisor. He said he would talk to someone about the restocking fee and put me on hold. He came back and said I would not be charged a restocking fee (seriously! - Thanks so much for that...). He further told me that I would not get my money back ($850 by the way) until the delivery company picked up the broken dishwasher, at which time the return "could be processed". I asked if the delivery company could come back today and get it, as they were obviously out doing deliveries. No. I said I wanted it to be picked up as soon as possible, as I wanted my money back.
He looked at the schedule and said Feb 24 (another 2 weeks). I asked for an earlier date, saying that is ridiculous, this is a pickup not a delivery, their delivery guys could pick it up on a return trip anytime. I asked him to call the delivery company to see if he could get an earlier date (this was not offered, I had to persist). He said he called them and that the broken dishwasher would be picked up next Saturday. Again, he apologized for my inconvenience.
Fast forward to the next Saturday... Feb 17, 2018. Again, I did not receive a phone call from Armstrong the night before. I called and left a msg on the VM at Armstrong - no response was ever received, even until today. I call HD Customer Service AGAIN. I'm told, after being put on hold a few more times, that they could not get an earlier date and the pick up date for the broken dishwasher is Feb 24. Again, I express my displeasure with HD's lack of customer service - seriously, would it have been that difficult for someone from HD (or the delivery company) to have called me so I did not waste yet another Saturday waiting around for people that never come?
Feb 23 - again, no call from the delivery company. I call HD Customer Service at 6:10 pm asking what is going on, as again, I received no call from Armstrong about picking up the broken dishwasher on Feb 24 (as promised). The Customer Service person said they would call the delivery company. He comes back on the line and said Armstong is closed, and that they are likely not going to deliver tomorrow. I ask to speak to a supervisor. I'm put through to Joel. I say I want this issue resolved. He tells me Armstrong is closed now, but that he is working again the following day, starting at 11:30 am. Joel said he would personally look into the issue, call the moving company when he gets in, in the morning, and call me back by 12:30 pm on Feb 24.
On the morning of Feb 24, I leave yet another VM for Armstrong, and noted that I did not receive a call back from my voicemail left the previous weekend. And, no surprise... I do not receive the promised call from Joel by 12:30 on Feb 24. I give him the benefit of the doubt and wait over an hour, before calling HD Customer Service AGAIN at 1:37 pm. I'm told by the female customer service agent that no one by the name of Joel is a supervisor there. I ask her to please check the file notes, as I spoke with him the day before and he may have left notes.
Sure enough, she finds "Joel" in another department. She puts me through to him (this takes about 20 minutes, 2 customer service people who ask the same questions x2 (VERY ANNOYING), before I get put through to Joel. I express my displeasure that he did not call me back as promised. He said he sent Armstrong an email and had not yet heard back, so he hadn't called me (could this email not have been send the night before, the first time I asked him?). I said good customer service dictates that when you say you are going to do something (ie call someone back by a certain time), you should do it... Even if you don't have an answer yet – give a status update.
Of course he apologized (hollow words obviously) and said there is nothing he could do. I said why can't you call them? He said ok. I'm put on hold for about the 100th time (after numerous calls), he comes back and says they're closed and nothing can be done until Monday. I said you have $850 of my money and I want my money returned. It's not my fault you can get your ** together and pick up the dishwasher as scheduled. It's been sitting in my kitchen since Jan 20, and I want it out. I want my money back now, HD's errors are not my fault and you have $850 of my money that you won't give back until you pick up the dishwasher, so pls pick it up today, as you had previously promised you would do. Call another mover I don't care, just get it picked up as I want my money back.
I'm told he can't do that and I have to be "patient". Really?!?! I've been MORE than patient, with NO COMPENSATION whatsoever, REPREHENSIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE (and after reading other comments on this page, I can see that I am not alone), and HOLLOW APOLOGIES. I ask to speak to Joel's supervisor, as I want to speak to someone who can do more than send emails and leave voicemails to the moving company and say they're sorry. Joel tells me he does not have a supervisor. I ask him who does his performance reviews as I want to speak to his boss. He tells me he doesn't have one (seems odd to me....?). He says he will personally follow up. I ask for his number, so the next time I call I don't have to go through a bunch of transfer calls, repeated questions and take me 20 mins to get through to him (as it did today).
He tells me he has no phone #, I have to call the main #. He says he'll send my issue to the "Escalation Department", but that they won't be in until Monday. I ask for the # for the Escalation Department, as at this point I have no faith that the issue will be passed on, or that anyone will call me back. I ask for the customer complaint address and phone #. He said I can only provide feedback online, through the customer service form on the website. I said I want to speak to a person in the customer complaint department, not send an email that I'll never receive any resolution to (which seems to be the pattern of HD staff). He said there is no number to call. I say go figure... HD obviously does not want to deal with customer complaints, which has become abundantly obvious to me.
Mr. Kinnaird - I WANT TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE WHO HAS AUTHORITY AND I WANT MY MONEY BACK. You are holding my money hostage by not picking up this piece of junk that remains in my kitchen for the past 36 days. I have already purchased another dishwasher from one of your competitors, who have 10000x the customer service that you have. This is the first time I purchased anything online with HD, and I can affirm that given my experience, I will never ever set foot in a HD store ever again, and will never ever purchase anything from HD. Please come and PICK UP YOUR JUNK and GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK.

Was supposed to have a delivery on 2/15 but no one contacted me to say my washer and dryer were on the way so I called both delivery service who then told me they weren't coming and we needed to reschedule. Fast forward to today. Have been calling all morning between Home Depot and the delivery service after I was told by the delivery place that our order was canceled, except we didn't cancel it. Now my washer is missing and I am the one that has to keep calling people back. This is the worst service I have ever gotten from Home Depot and we have been dealing with them for a few years. All we want is answers and no one knows what to tell me.

Bad communication between delivery and store. Bought 2 appliances; cancelled one and they said the delivery date would change so I cancelled whole order. Delivery was calling me; I talked to store and they said my delivery was cancelled; 2 nights later at 8 PM, the delivery person knocked at my door. Three - four weeks later, delivery called me today. Why do they have to make this so complicated. By the way, I went to a competitor to make purchase.

When Home Depot had my washer and dryer delivered, my home was damaged by the carelessness of the delivery team. Several nicks on the walls, a door that got banged in and paint scraped off the walls due to them being careless when bringing them into the laundry room. I immediately took this up with the Home Depot I had purchased the set from and was told "it would be taken care of".
After endless emails being sent, the owner of the delivery company called me. I could not understand a single syllable that he was saying and to top that off, he sounded intoxicated. That conversation got me nowhere. I proceeded to contact Home Depot again and they told me to contact the Home Depot Claim Adjuster named Jessica. She did not return my initial calls, but I happened to make a last attempt at contacting her and was lucky enough to have her pick up. I gave her the claim number for my case and she said I needed to wait some more to hear from the delivery company.
At this point, I became very annoyed and tried to nicely explain to her that I feel as if I am getting the runaround. She told me I needed to be patient. HA! Patient? This has been going on for over a month! I then said, "Look, I don't want to have to turn this into a legal situation where I have to hire a lawyer." Her response to that was, "Well ma'am you have to do what you gotta do". I cannot believe the unprofessionalism and lack of caring that I have gotten from Home Depot. I had thought I was making a really good choice when going with them for my appliances, but apparently not! I will never spend another dime there again and I encourage anyone reading this not to as well!

I will not tell you the 1st time GE sent two men to install my Microwave convection oven... But the second set of installers never installed it right as they did not read the installation manual. I not knowing this was told by a friend who came to my house that it was installed to recirculate back in the house rather than the vent to the outside that was obvious. I thought they did it correctly till then... When I called Home Depot in several different phone numbers and talked to supervisor and was hung up on by one c/s person... they told me the installation was only guaranteed for 30 days and that I had to call Maytag... who called out a service company only when they called to set up a time. They told me they would not check installations only problems. My problem is it is not broke. It works but it works improperly. So now when I use the oven the heat is going to come back into my house.
BUYER BEWARE. I CANNOT FIND ANYWHERE WHERE IT SAYS INSTALLATION IS ONLY GUARANTEED FOR 30 DAYS.

However after five days of hearing nothing I called them and after two hours discussion they told me that they can deliver washer/dryer after 5 days, means totals of 3 week after purchase to deliver it to me. I had to follow up with them to make sure it was on schedule. Finally it came in with damage and I refused delivery. It is understandable that the product may get damaged during the delivery. What made me hate is the customer service when I tried to reach them. The way they speak to their customers are unacceptable and rude. After multiple follow up I got a call after 5 days saying the delivery was scheduled for Feb 6th. Their process definitely does not include customer satisfaction. They don't care about the customer's schedule but have their own timelines. Even a missed promised date does not take priority for them.

Today is Jan 31st, per the automatic phone call on Jan 30th evening, our ordered appliances should be delivered between 1:00 PM ~5:00 PM (later, I called home depot, the schedule in your system was between 3:45 ~ 7:45 PM). I went to the delivery address before 1:00 PM and waited for them until 7:45 PM. Still, no one calls us or show up for delivery. During the long waiting period, I was not able to get drink/food and have to make several calls to the Home Depot subcontractor and The Bridge water 202 Home Depot.
The feedback is that the truck already on the road and I should just wait, or they can’t reach the delivery team, or the office closed. One of the GE’s representatives, a lady named Lisa (I can’t get her name clearly but very close), told me on around 4:20 PM, that our sequence number is 14, and now the truck at stop 13, so we will be their next stop, and we should receive a call within 30 minutes. But apparently, she may lie to me.
So, I called again around 5:19, and the lady told me she couldn’t find that information which Lisa told us. But on a later call, another gentleman said he can see that we stop 14, but he doesn’t know where is the truck. So let’s put this aside, I think I can’t trust this company any longer. Now I have to find The Home Depot, who is selling the appliances to us directly and received our full payment about two months ago to take your responsibility to make our delivery happen. We do not care if it’s from which company, we just want our goods showed up with new in box and been installed per our order correctly.
As a customer who been regularly buying from home depot, I hope you as representative from home depot, a huge company, can concern about your customer’s frustration. I have personally been waste one full day of Jan24, one-half day till late evening on Jan 29, and another half day till almost 8:00 PM on Jan 31. And each travel to the delivery address is more than 35 minutes, and I took days off for this never show up, no feedback delivery. If you were me, what’s your feeling? Yeah, Home Depot is a big company, you may never have an ear for us.
So here are some questions: Is that our appliances been stolen? Is that the delivery company just do not want to make delivery to us because they made some many mistakes and dared not to show up? Are they just delay our delivery because our last name is Asian (I hope this is not the case!!!). We are tired of dealing with the delivery company, we just want with Home Depot to take care of this, and I believe if the Home Depot (Bridgewater 202) store want to solve this issue, you can easily arrange delivery for us on time and in time. So, please do not pass the ball to GE or whatever the 3rd or 4th party which we do not even know the name and never have the luck to talk directly. We just need the product that we bought and the warranty that for our appliance may already waste two months?
Our last request has never received a formal feedback from your store, and that makes us feel that the Home Depot (Bridgewater 202) store do not care about our case. I hope this letter can make you do something for the customer who paid you. We reserve the right to claim for a compensation for the loss of our time, transportation expense, time to deal with all the unnecessary issues that related with this order, mental stress and health impact due to the long waiting time.

I purchased a refrigerator from Home Depot and had them install it. One and a half years later the icemaker and freezer are not working properly. I call for a repair, but the person claims my fridge was not installed properly so the warranty is void. I explained Home Depot installed the unit, but was told by Susan at the Honolulu Home Depot that it is my responsibility to know the ventilation requirements and thus it's my fault.
In the meantime, I spent about 35 hours on the phone trying to speak with a manager, left many unreturned messages, and had several people promise to help that never followed up. A second person was sent to confirm with the same findings. I'm told by Home Depot there isn't anything they will do. I get a letter explaining my warranty (which I paid $250 for) was voided. At this point, I lodged a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and was refunded the repair estimate and warranty ($800.00). I chose to purchase a new unit from Sears Appliances and donated my previous unit to the food bank. 6 months later I get the refund, but only after the BBB got involved--not cool.

We purchased an LG appliance package from the Black Friday sale 11/30/2017 and were told that the items would be delivered 1/27/18. Ok we didn't mind the wait as it gave us time to redo our kitchen, but January 15th the LG customer service center calls and informs us that the microwave selected on our package was discontinued, they were going to upgrade it at no cost. Ok, we are reasonable people. On January 18th we receive another call for exactly the same reason and I was thinking well at least they are on top of things... WELL THAT WAS TOTALLY NOT THE CASE. January 27th came with no appliances delivered, so we had someone paid to install the appliances that had no appliances to install.
I called the LG customer service and we were told that our appliances were not scheduled to be delivered until February 10th. SO WE HAVE NO REFRIGERATOR, NO DISHWASHER, NO STOVE OR MICROWAVE UNTIL THEN!!! A trip to Home Depot on the 28th was a waste of gas as they can't get ahold of anyone on the weekend, so this morning I have spent 4 hours going between Home Depot, LG and my husband who both companies continue to disrupt at work even after being asked, then told to call me instead. The outcome they believe is satisfactory? February 6th. Yeah the 500.00 we saved for this sale has already been spent in the food that was without refrigeration being thrown away, having to order cooked food, an installation charge and another full week without the appliances. Maybe we shouldn't have expected our fully paid for appliances to be delivered on time and gotten rid of our old appliances?

They told us to schedule another window for installation and haul away. We did immediately and it was scheduled on 1/18/18. On that day they was supposed to show up between 10am~2pm but never shown up. We call them around 3pm and they said they cannot connect the driver. So we have to reschedule again by the end of day because for sure they won't show up. So the next schedule is again another week 1/24/18. Purchased a washer and dryer from Home Depot on Jan 10/18. Scheduled delivery was for 1/20/18. A part of the delivery was not only to install but also to remove my old washer/dryer. Upon scheduled delivery, movers came at approx. 1:00 pm and delivered and picked up old appliances but did not install. The delivery guys had mentioned that someone else would be coming within the next 30-60 minutes to do the install. No one showed up. I called the 1-800 number provided on receipt and spoke with the appliances department to which I was told that installation is extra and was not a part of my order. I vehemently informed them that it is indeed a part of my order and this issue needs to be fixed. The receiver recommended I call Home Depot to get this sorted out to which I did and they confirmed that installation should have been done during the time of delivery.
To make a long story short, I did a lot of back and forth between Home Depot, the appliance department, installation department and even Ovation delivery (the company HD uses). Home Depot was recommended to me but I will never recommend them to anyone else. I am still waiting for my machines to be installed. I do not know why there is so much confusion and why me as the customer has to be chasing everyone to get some kind of result. I now have to wait on what appears to be the installer’s time to get this rectified as there is no sense of urgency. I went with HD thinking that since they are a known and reputable company, they would not have these kind of issues. Clearly I was wrong. Someone either needs to get their stuff together or be dropped from doing business together. This is so upsetting, disappointing and unprofessional!!!

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator and microwave from Home Depot, an 11/25/2017 online Black Friday sale. The original order said a delivery date of Jan 5, 2018. They charged my credit card immediately for the purchase. January 4th, I get a call saying that my order is delayed but they don't know why. I have to track down someone from Samsung that tells me my microwave is holding up the order. My current refrigerator is on its last legs so I said cancel the microwave so that I can receive my order. The Samsung employee told me I would get my refrigerator in a couple days if I canceled. I wait on the phone line forever for my new delivery date and she says, "Oops, didn't change your delivery date at all." It was still 1/12/2018 and we can't add the microwave back on. It was a great price on the microwave so I lost out on the savings.
I schedule another vacation day so that I can be at home for the delivery. The delivery company calls on 1/11/2018 to tell me my 4 hour window is 2 pm - 6 pm. On 1/12/18, they never show up to deliver my merchandise. I call the delivery company and am told Samsung didn't have the refrigerator in the warehouse. I call Samsung and they are absolutely clueless. My delivery date remains 1/12/2018 with no update. They didn't have the courtesy to tell me my refrigerator didn't show up and they allowed me to wait an entire afternoon for a delivery that was never intended to happen.
On 1/15/2018, I contact Home Depot to help resolve the problem. I spent almost 2 hours on the phone and nothing was resolved. I was told they had almost 40 refrigerators in the warehouse by HD. Samsung can't figure out what happened and repeatedly tried to get me to cancel the refrigerator order. I insisted I wanted my merchandise. Again, the price was great and I can't order another one for that price. Samsung had to start a "document search" that could take up to 48 hours. Why do I care where they lost their merchandise? Why would they not just send me one of the others in the warehouse? Apparently, that is an unreasonable expectation.
Today (1/18/2018), I have yet to hear from anyone regarding my order and the supposed document search. I was told someone would call and schedule the delivery. I had the HD employee call my local store to see if they had a refrigerator in stock that they could deliver. The local store calls me back to offer a loaner. I don't need the hassle of taking another day off to get a loaner there. I did not request a loaner, though the gesture was the only positive out of this entire mess.
Samsung, the delivery company and Home Depot each take zero responsibility for fulfilling the order. Home Depot says, "Gosh what can we do, it is them." I paid Home Depot and they need to resolve the situation. Meanwhile, I have burned two vacation days for no reason, paid for the product 8 weeks ago and have nothing!!! I did have to specifically ask that my microwave credit be applied to my account. The HD employee did that but didn't take off the install charge that was associated with the microwave. Another hassle I will have to track down.
Samsung is particularly annoying. They will tell you any manner of false information to get off the phone. They can't send me a refrigerator because they will have to charge me for another refrigerator. Of course, they do not have access to my credit info since I bought from HD. The lack of professionalism and inability to honor their sale prices is astonishing. I thought Home Depot was a quality company, employee owned and committed to quality customer service. I highly recommend you go elsewhere when looking for appliances. I have lost a lot of money in paid time off, phone time and still don't have a much needed refrigerator.

I am extremely upset about the delivery of my new refrigerator purchased online from Home Depot and delivered by Home Delivery America in Union NJ (201) 758-8081. This horrible experience took place yesterday January 15, 2018 and since last evening I have been trying numerous ways to resolve it with no success. The delivery of my refrigerator arrived at 5:45 even though I specified in the online order that my building only accepts deliveries up until 5pm. The delivery workers stated that my door is not wide enough to bring the refrigerator in, then I pulled out my own meter and showed them that it is in fact 32” wide and the refrigerator is only 30”. They removed my old refrigerator and proceeded to install the new one, by install I mean putting it in place and plugging it in. They did not install the water line for which I was charged nor did they make sure that it was all working properly.
I called their company only to be told that there is no installation. They just bring the water line and only install if there already is a water line in place, which makes no sense. Then they left. I proceeded to call Home Depot to complain and spoke to Mark and then to Michael and both got disconnected or hung up on me. While I was doing that my two excited children (ages 4 and 5) run to open the refrigerator and came out of the kitchen with a working drill. The delivery workers left a working drill in the refrigerator, thank God no one got hurt. Their negligence put my children in danger!!! Someone could have easily lost an eye. I proceeded to call Home Depot and the Home Delivery America company but got no answers. Then at 8:30 pm there is a knock on the door and it is the delivery workers returning for their drill. I told them that I will return it to them only after I speak to someone from their company and file a proper complaint report.
I tried to call the company at (201) 758-8081 but got their answering machine and left a couple of messages. Then a women named Beth or Maddy, as she used two names in the same conversation called me from ** and when I told her what happened she would not give me the delivery workers' names, nor a complaint number and in the end hung up on me. The worker left and several minutes later I got a call from the 90th precinct ** and the officer told me that the delivery workers are complaining that I won’t give their tool back. I told the officer the whole story and how dangerous the negligence of these workers was and asked that they please send an officer to my house and I would be happy to give the tool back but I want a written report.
At 9:30 pm officers ** and ** came over and I explained the whole situation to them and gave them the drill back. They instructed me to file a complaint against the delivery company not only with Home Depot, but also with the Better Business Bureau, which I did. I also contacted the delivery company and filed an official complaint with them. This whole process endangered my children’s lives, wasted a ton of my time and still my refrigerator which cost over $1500 is not fully functioning!!! I was texting with several people from Home Depot including Kim, Luis and Scott from Home Depot but none of them have been able to resolve my issue. All I am asking is for a plumber to be send to my house to finish the installation at no cost to me at a time convenient for me!!! Or to be credited to my credit card $350 which is the average it takes for a plumber to do the job and I will hire someone myself.
I cannot believe that Home Depot works with such a negligent company which endangers the lives of children and does not complete the work properly. I hope to hear from you soon in regards to this issue. I also have tons of screenshots of my conversations with Luis and Scott but all are useless because they keep telling me to call the 1800 number which I have tried and can’t get a Home Depot representative on the phone. To say I finally connected with a person and talked to 2 representatives and their supervisor and it turned out that they were not from Home Depot but from the horrible delivery company and of course were not helpful at all. As you can see I also emailed with the customer-care and got redirected by them to the 1800 numbers as well. I am simply at a lack of words for this horrible customer service and the whole experience and will be very vocal about it. Outraged, Customer.

My husband and I purchased a washer and dryer. I went back in 2 days later to cancel my order because of problems Samsung has with their washers blowing up causing injuries. They cancelled my order. Their workers don't seem knowledgeable. I hoped on getting store credit to purchase another brand with them. Instead they hold on to your money for days and will not tell me when I will get back my money. I wish I read the reviews. I will never recommend HD again or shop there. Very Unhappy.

Asked do they honor Vet by 10% off, what they did was jack the price up and then gave 10% off. The problem was I paid more than the floor price. Final got 10% back after 2 trips. Delivery came and dropped off, I paid for install. They claim my deal was not to install. Wrong. We showed them and then they installed the units. They tried to take off and would not accept there was damage to the washer. So they wrote on my copy damaged and signed it. On the way out they destroyed my front steps and took out a chunk. I made them aware of it.
1 week later delivered the 2nd washer and it looks like it had been rolled out the back of the truck. They tried to make me take and I refused. They went out to the truck and took off and did not let me know what was going on. GE appliances company handles all Maytag deliveries. Strange why another manufacturer delivery of the new appliances from a different company. Could GE be damaging appliances so the purchasers would get mad and buy GE.
Went to the store and advised the problems we are having and I made the decision to have appliances picked up and return my money. Went thru again the problems and the pictures. Spoke to a woman MGR and she stated Monday the store would pick up both units. Final after 4 weeks after I paid for the units the store came and picked up the set and headed back to credit my account. Is this how the BIG business handle them selfs? I hope not because the service sucks on all parts and neither one cared for the purchasers.

Went into the Downingtown PA store 1/1/18 and purchased a new LG washer and dryer. Scheduled delivery for Saturday 1/6. As the delivery date neared the area got hit with snow and I received a call informing me that the delivery had been rescheduled for Wednesday 1/10 when I wouldn’t be available due to work. Called the provided phone number and waited 1.5 hours on hold with the appliance delivery “department”. My call was never answered before disconnecting. Took over another hour the next day to finally get a person on the phone and informed them I needed a Saturday delivery. Changed the appointment to Saturday 1/13. The following day I got a call informing me that my delivery was scheduled for Friday 1/12. Went through the whole ridiculous phone call process with absurd hold times yet again. Re-confirmed Saturday 1/13 delivery.
Received phone call the evening prior to my delivery date informing me delivery team would arrive between 1:30-5:30 and that they would call 30 minutes prior to arrival. Neither of those statements held true. At 7:30 PM on scheduled delivery date, still no word from delivery team. Called Home Depot again and provided order information. Was informed by first rep that she couldn’t find my address of the delivery roster. Call was forwarded to the delivery agency (?) where I was informed that the delivery was scheduled for today, that they couldn’t contact the delivery crew directly, that it was the last delivery of the day, and that “sometimes the crews just get held up”. Okay, I can see that, things happen. But how about a phone call to advise the people who are sitting at home waiting for the products they spent a couple thousand dollars on that there’s a delay?
I canceled the order and will now be going to a local appliance store. I will happily pay a higher price to avoid these idiots in the future. These people (at least the ones in charge of delivery) give zero **. I won’t ever order any major items through Home Depot again. Absolutely unacceptable customer service and horrible, horrible communication. Save yourself the time and high blood pressure and go to your local applicable store.

I was left wondering what happened to my order until I start chasing them with dead ends and finally going back to Home Depot to ask for an explanation. I ordered a new appliance from Home Depot. The delivery lead time was very long but ok. It arrived and before it was uncrated, the delivery guys complained they would have to roll it on a dolly up a small hill. How do they handle carrying appliances upstairs, which I am sure they have to a lot. Then they said that they didnt have a hose long enough to attach to out output.
I paid extra for the hose and installation. Our laundry room is pretty standard, so I dont understand why the hose was an issue and there was no mention of limitations on hose size while ordering. After all that, the appliance itself was dented badly so we refused it. To try to reach customer service for a new delivery date is an exercise in patience.
The phone prompts are ridiculous. They are numerous and cant be bypassed to talk to a person. Finally, you reach someone and you get disconnected and you have to go all through the prompts again! The waits on the phone after the prompts were 40 minutes. The new delivery date offered (finally, after days of calling and emailing - cause their idea of a 72 hour wait just to GET a new date is more like 96 to 108 hours) was so far in the future, it is a joke. So I cancelled the order. I will never shop there again. And I have bought a lot there through the years, appliances, fencing, flooring, you name it.

Had it been a simple delivery delay, I would have been ok. The issue began when GE didn't contact me to let me know there was a delay (apparently Home Depot contracts GE for appliance deliveries and installations). There was no phone call or communication of any kind. So I waited for delivery, at about 1 pm I decided to call Home Depot to see what was up, and they directed me to GE, without giving me any further information or assistance. I called them and honestly, that's where the problems began. First they told me to check the app, I did, it showed a delivery date of today. I called back and was sent through the automated system where I was told, again, that delivery was scheduled for today. I called again and this time I was able to get an actual person on the line, who told me that yes, delivery was scheduled today, but there was no time window set.
When she clicked over to find out what was up, the call dropped. I called again, spoke to someone else, this person told me that the delivery had been moved to Monday. Needless to say, I was frustrated. I asked "why?" and he said that the dryer had just been delivered to the delivery agent. Ok, so I asked why I wasn't advised? And why Monday? I want it delivered asap. When he went to "find out more info" the call dropped again. I was frustrated and called again. Asked for a supervisor. This guy tells me there is nothing he can do.
Of course I asked why wasn't it given to the delivery agent (he didn't know), why it wasn't communicated to me (he didn't know), and how it could be made right (he couldn't do anything except say "I'm sorry"). I insisted on an earlier delivery date, but he said that wasn't something he could do, that the delivery agent was overbooked. As you can imagine, at this point I'm beyond frustrated and bordering on livid, and I said that this was their mistake and they had to do something to make it right! Nope, nothing. Monday. No offer to mitigate the delivery cost, no attempt to get the dryer to me any faster, nothing. And that is where my anger comes from... not the delayed delivery, but the horrible customer service and absolute unwillingness to do anything to fix their mistake.
When I exhausted all possibilities with GE, I called Home Depot again, and after several attempts to speak to a manager, I was unable to get anyone who was willing to do anything than shrug their shoulders and say "I'm sorry...we've had this complaint before." Again, nothing to help ameliorate the situation. Both GE and Home Depot have lost a customer after this experience. There is no need for customer service to ever be this poor and for something like a basic scheduled delivery to be so unreliable.

We did not receive a call the day before. I called the store Saturday at 10:15 am to check on the order. The store had entered a pre-existing phone number and last name from their computer on my order even though I gave them my current cellphone number which they listed as an alternate. I was told the delivery was en route and should arrive soon and they would correct the phone number. I called the store again at 2:18 pm and was told they would deliver it between 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
I called the store at 6:52 and spoke to the store manager who said they could be still en route and to call him back if they didn't deliver it. I called again at 8:07 and was told they would contact their expeditor but that person would not be in until Tuesday because of the holiday. I called the store Tuesday morning at 09:05 am and spoke to the store manager who told me he would contact the expeditor and find out the status of the order. He called me back ten minutes later and told me they had called the number "I" had given them and did not get an answer.
I told him the store had entered that phone number which we had not used in over 7 years and that they had the actual number as the alternate which no one had called. He then said the driver had come to my address at 5:00 pm and knocked on the door and no one answered. This was not true because my husband and I both sat home the entire day waiting on them. We also have four large dogs who would have barked as soon as they heard someone knock! At this point I told the manager to refund my money and keep the ** refrigerator! Purchased an LG French Door refrigerator from Home Depot Nov 26, 2017, Delivery date scheduled for Dec 6th. Delivery came and driver pointed out a small scratch and advised I order another one. The next delivery date was scheduled for Dec 19th... Day came and I called to see if they were on time and some at GE didn't enter the reorder correctly, so it never got put on the schedule. So now another delivery date of the 22nd was scheduled, and one of the drivers fell and sprained his wrist, so they cancelled. Why they don't have back up people to cover illnesses etc, baffles me. So now it's rescheduled for the 30th... It snowed. I called in the AM and they were on schedule and will be there between 11-3. 3:00 came and no truck. I called and they recalled the trucks because of the weather and no one called me.
They now want to deliver it New Years Day at 1:00 and we're having a dinner party for 12 people at 1:00, so we said no, that they'd have to be there before 10am for us to manage it. They said they could be there at 10 and maybe before 10. We said ok. 10 came and went no truck. Had the delivery company's number now and called at 10:30. He said they left 20 minutes ago and would be there in 30 minutes. 11:00 came and at 11:30 I tried to call him 20 times and no answer.
At 12:00 I got a call from the driver saying they'd be there sometime after 2 and I told him the other guy promised me by 10 and he said he never got that information and we were number 6 delivery for the day and they only did their first delivery at 11. So I cancelled the delivery and I'm cancelling the order. Now, I like Home Depot and their only problem is hiring this delivery company. Do not buy Home Depot appliances until they fix this.

I purchased a washer and dryer from homedepot.com for my new home. When delivery was made the dryer was an electric dryer unit. I paid for all required parts for installation so that they could install it for me on the spot. After everything was plugged in and done the dryer didn't start. The delivery driver checked the connection then the outlet and said, "You have a 120v outlet, this needs 240v. You'll need to call an electrician to fix this, but if you have any issues contact this number." Maybe I was just too naive as a first time homeowner... but I contacted the number to report the issue because it says any defects must be reported within 48 hours on their return policy. Of course their rep was nice and friendly and said this is not correct procedure and I've contacted the delivery company to call back and pick up the dryer.
Well guess what? I never received a call back and when my electrician as able to come by to check my outlet he said there was no issue. It's a 3 prong plug and they both read 120v which adds up to 240v. We tried again. Dryer turned on this time but would not start. Called them again to let them know the delivery team never called back to pick up the unit and my electrician verified that my outlet was functional, and I was told a return cannot be approved by service rep because a store manager is only one with authority to approve an appliance. Again I was told they would call me back in 48 hours and they didn't call back (see a pattern here?). So I went to my nearest store and asked about this issue. Apparently their return policy for appliances doesn't apply to appliances. Go figure, huh? The store manager told me all appliances are labeled in the middle of the details page online with a text stating non-refundable product.
He said they come direct from manufacturer so any return has to be approved by the manufacturer. He did offer to call to get it serviced, but at this point I wanted nothing to do with Home Depot or their customer service. So now I'm stuck with a dryer that doesn't work and they won't take back and can only get it serviced through Whirlpool rep. I've already tried filing a consumer complaint and complaint with BBB. Keep going through same loop of responses from different reps like they all have the same scripted text. Last I heard I was going to be contacted by Whirlpool service rep to diagnosis my machine's problem in... you guessed it 24-48 hours.
It's been over 3 days and haven't heard back from either one of them. Seems super shady to me to hide non-returnable product in a wall of text on product page. There's no mention of appliance being non-refundable anywhere else on my receipts or delivery invoice. You'd think if they had such a strict no return policy on appliances they'd say it somewhere more visible to the consumer... unless of course they have something to hide. Going to try contacting my local news and business attorney to see if it's even legal to have a return policy that can't be used.

My wife and I purchased a refrigerator, with a 5 year protection plan, from our local Home Depot in Sarasota, FL in June 2014. In late November 2017 the fridge stopped cooling, and had ice forming at the very bottom of the unit. We filed a claim on 11/28/17 with the Protection Plan company (the store associate that we spoke to on the night of 11/27/17 was very short with us and told us that all claims were handled by a 3rd party company). The first company that they contacted to come repair the fridge ignored the 1st appointment which was scheduled for 11/30/17. After contacting both the appliance repair company and the protection plan company again we were setup with an appointment on 12/5/17. Great, except that the folks that came to look at the fridge did not speak English very well at all and my wife could not really communicate the issue to them.
It turns out that they topped their first missed appointment by not coming back to repair the fridge. So approximately 2 weeks later I called the protection plan company again to complain. I was put on with a “Supervisor” who assured me that the parts would be overnighted to another company and that the fridge would be repaired by mid-week. Well mid-week came and went… I had to contact the repair company to find out what was going on.
Turns out that the parts that were to be sent overnight never arrived! At this point, Thursday 12/21/17, I decided to engage the store where I purchased the fridge. After all I purchased the item from them not some third rate protection plan company. I was assured by the store ASM that I would hear from the store’s appliance order specialist the very next day. Enter another missed deadline… The store never contacted me regarding this matter. I decided to go to the store in person to speak with the person that was supposed to contact me or the ASM that I spoke with. I was then introduced to another ASM, who started digging into the matter a bit.
After finally contacting the second repair company on the phone they had agreed to set up an appointment for the following Wednesday to simply look at the fridge to make sure that whatever parts were on their way were going to be the right ones. After all we were dealing with the company that originally came out that was unable to communicate in English. Well by the Wednesday appointment parts magically appeared at the service center. Unfortunately, the parts were not exactly what was needed to get us back up and running. So back to the phone with the store and the protection plan company. The dog is chasing its tail!
The next day we receive a phone call from the protection plan company checking up on the repair and to inform us that now that the repair has been made they are going to close out the claim. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?!? I get the sense that any repair company arrives at your house that a repair is considered done (yes this also happened with the company that could not communicate in English as well). So here we are, two visits from a repair company and supposedly two completed repairs. I call all of the involved folks back to inform them that the jokes are no longer funny and that the fridge has NOT been repaired.
Okay, so the second service center informed me that they had to order another part because the first was not going to repair the fridge (12/27/17). Another unfortunate event is that the part that they had to order is supposedly a special order part… No idea how long we will continue to be without a fridge, in fact I am at the same place I was on 11/27/2017 when I went to the store to initiate the process to begin with. This also puts us at a month without a fridge, and running in circles with the store, the protection plan company, and the repair companies.
The store ASMs that I have engaged with have assisted, however, both the store and the protection plan company have informed me that they are escalating my claim for replacement of the fridge. It turns out that we have been given false information, and that there was no escalation of the claim. I cannot for the life of me come to terms with why both The Home Depot and the protection plan company would inform me that they were escalating this for replacement when in fact they were not.
Despite the clear lies that I have gotten that the store has tried to help, but it appears that they are calling the same protection plan company that I have been dealing with. The round and round conversations related to this topic can only be laughed at, you really cannot make this stuff up. The local ASM offered us a mid-sized fridge with a freezer to hold us over since we are living out of a dorm sized fridge on our Florida patio at the moment. While this was an admirable offer, as a disabled veteran I do not have the means or the physical ability to pick up a fridge, and move it into my house. So I had no option, and had to decline the offer. It is now Saturday 12/30/17 and no one knows when my fridge is going to be repaired or replaced.

I went into the store and the Home Depot associates understood my frustration. They called the delivery service and were told there was nothing that could be done. I then called and the final straw was when I asked why they would not just take it back, they told me that no one picked up the pen for me to sign for it. I was told by the delivery service that I had to sign in order for them to bring it into my house. I was not aware until it was opened in my house that it was the incorrect refrigerator.
They just don't care if you are satisfied. They are rude and disrespectful on the phone. Who tells someone that? When I asked further they told me that I would not like their answer and they would not say anything else because they knew it would start an argument. They also suggested that I bring the refrigerator back myself. Seriously? What happened to the customer is always right and what happened to good customer service? I closed on my home December 8th and decided to go with Home Depot due to holiday savings even though I'd already paid a deposit with another company. BIG MISTAKE! I was purchasing all 4 GE kitchen appliances (French door refrigerator, gas range, microwave, & dishwasher). I paid $5700 CASH and was given a delivery date of December 14th. The night before my delivery date we received a phone call from an automated system stating our delivery date had been changed to December 26th. When I called the 800 number to get more information they referred me to the store, I call the store and they tell me to call the company they go through to do the deliveries, I call them and leave a message and get NO RESPONSE for almost a week.
I then go in person and speak with a manager who says he will call me the next day (HE NEVER DID), I call and request to speak with another manager who says he will look into it and call me right back (HE NEVER DID), I call and speak with another manager and complain about the 2 previous managers who never called me back and she states she will look into it further and call me back. Well she actually did call me back and proceeds to tell me the reason my appliances haven't been delivered is due to a back order on a DISHWASHER!!! I have been without a refrigerator & stove (which in my opinion are absolute necessities) for 3 weeks now, I have 3 small children, and was expecting guests for the holidays (which I had to cancel).
Now here we are the 26th and I STILL HAVE NO APPLIANCES!!! I took off work and everything and waited, when my delivery time window came and went I went through the same cycle. Call store, call delivery company, and then I was told to call GE. GE is now stating it's the refrigerator on back order. At this point I'm over it, GE & Home Depot both have dropped the ball. I'll be getting my money back and going with another vendor and manufacturer for my appliances. I was actually going to spend $5000 more on window treatments but after this I'll be spending that somewhere else as well.

I found out the delivery window by looking online at Home Depot website. Delivery person never came to my door...dogs would have barked, did not ring bell, or knock. When I called them back, they were unwilling or unable to return. Delivery persons must have enjoyed a coffee break somewhere but did not attempt delivery to my address. I ordered the refrigerator from a competitor and it was delivered promptly with much communication. And yes, the dogs barked when the competitor’s truck pulled up in front of the house. The experience confirms again that a customer is not important.

On Black Friday of 2017, my wife and I ordered an LG kitchen appliance package and it was scheduled to be installed on December 22! On the 22nd, the team showed up during the time they were supposed to and quickly told me they would not install the gas range nor the dishwasher! The range because it was LP and the dishwasher because it was not next to the sink! I canceled the order!
Home Depot will refund the money but will not honor the installation agreement that was agreed upon and my wife and I have missed out on Black Friday deals. We told the sales associate what we had and he never said that they would not change out LP and I still cannot figure out why they would not change out the dishwasher since it was within the length the advertisement states! I was a loyal customer of the Home Depot and will never deal with them again! They will not stand behind the customer but rather the installation crew! If they would have told us on Black Friday about LP, we may have been able to secure a bonded plumber! They knew when they sold us the package that we had an LP system!

I ordered a KitchenAid dishwasher and paid in full for it and all installation charges and parts. The goal was to have it installed by Christmas as a gift and the delivery date was scheduled for the Saturday before Christmas. I got a call last night saying it would be delivered between 7am and 11am. Just before 11 today, I called to see where the installation truck was and was told the product was on backorder. When I called Home Depot, they said that it wasn't on backorder when I ordered it, but now there is nothing they can do until after the holiday. Then I got another call from Home Depot saying the actual problem is that the delivery truck is missing, with 81 appliances on it. I can't believe I have paid in full for a Christmas gift that has now just vanished. Where is the professionalism here? I'm shocked!

Between the fantastic appliance and awesome installation I know my next order will be done with Home Depot. Thank you for the wonderful service. I know people are quick to point out their problems and I believe everyone should be just as eager to point out when a job is well done and you are happy. We recently purchased a Samsung Dryer from Home Depot in Edmonton and are very dissatisfied. It was broken when it arrived. We are having a horrific experience trying to get it repaired/replaced/refunded. Home Depot does not allow return of appliances. The store gave 4 different numbers to call depending on the day we called. We are now impatiently waiting for a service man. Dryer initially short circuited and kicked off the house breaker, then it would not dry clothes and then it kept running indefinitely when there was three minutes on the timer. We turned it off after 45 minutes, so that it would not burn the house down. We are very disappointed with Home Depot and their process for dealing with their defective product. The no return policy is not stated on any of the documents we received with the dryer. In fact the payment receipt states "all items must be returned for a full refund". Apparently this advice is false.

I was not able to shop for christmas. Or, go out to eat with family, because of the delivery hours. The cooktop was not delivered. I called, they apologized and said it not put on truck. Promised to deliver the next Friday, December 15. Again, no delivery!!! I called, this time no apology. I asked what happened. Because, it is now ONE WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS. AGAIN!!! I waited from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm!!! I wasn't able to christmas shop or go out for dinner. Again, no apology!!!
After insisting they find out why, the put me on hold for at least 2 minutes. They then told me that the cooktop had been sitting at the Home Depot 30 miles from my home the whole time!!! They never intended to deliver it. After telling them how upset I was for not only having to be home, but now I have to arrange Christmas dinner at someone else's home because my stove top is broken!! They said they would reimburse me in 10 days. They finally gave me a $50.00 egift card. This does not even come close to making up my having to waste 2 Fridays just before Christmas!!! So, NEVER shop online with Home Depot. They keep your money. And, never deliver the product.

Home Depot failed to deliver the appliances 3 times costing us thousands of dollars. We eventually canceled part of our appliance order and had Lowe’s deliver next day. Original order 11/11. Original install date 11/16, 2nd scheduled install date 11/28, 3rd scheduled install date 12/4. Canceled order the night of 12/4 and ordered new refrigerator and stove from Lowe’s. However, Lowe’s couldn't get the washer and dryer so we were stuck hunting down the 3rd party installer. The local Home Depot store in Carson City swore up and down that the 3rd party in Reno would bring the washer and dryer appliances back the morning of the 5th by 9 am. I hired a handyman to rent a U-Haul and go to Home Depot in Carson City on the 5th. However, a 4TH FAILED delivery later and the washer and dryer appliances were still sitting in the installer's warehouse in Reno.
I had to hire a new handyman to drive to Reno on 12/6 and a third handyman who specializes in appliance installs to come the 6th and 7th of December. I had similar nightmares on my other house in South Lake Tahoe in the spring with the same major appliances PLUS quartz countertops. The installation crews didn't show up on the days they were supposed to, only partially installed orders, complained the entire time and the countertop guys had to come out and fix a horrible installation. Needless to say after giving HD 15K of my money in 2017 I will NEVER shop there again. I'll add a friend in LA went through a 4+ month installation nightmare on her floors. It seems Home Depot is too big now and customer service is not their top priority. Which is sad as I work with HD on new construction locations, outparcel developments and bloom box installs. Their real estate team is superb but operations and customer service are lacking greatly.

The delivery company used by Home Depot is incompetent and has terrible customer service. We ordered 6 appliances (washer/dryer, stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, and microwave) that were scheduled to be delivered on Saturday, 12/9. We were told they would call 30 minutes prior to our delivery so we could be sure to be home (we just moved into our home and were still packing up our things from our apartment that day). They called the wrong phone number, even though we specifically stated which phone number to call, and showed up before we could make it to the house. They then left and rescheduled our delivery date for December 21st. We obviously can't go that long without a refrigerator, but they are refusing to budge and will not deliver to us any sooner than the 21st.
So they expect us to go nearly two weeks without a refrigerator and other appliances because of a mistake that they made. They have added a huge amount of stress to our move and are making this entire process a complete nightmare. I will be writing a letter to corporate and I hope in the future they learn to assist their customers better, particularly ones who spent a large amount of money on multiple appliances.

I have a Maytag washer under the Home Depot warranty. I started calling the warranty line two months ago in October, 2017. It is December 12, 2017. My washer is still not repaired. I have had 4 service calls. The repair person keeps saying it needs one more part. So I am still waiting for the next part to come in before they schedule service call 5. Two full months without my washer is more than an inconvenience. The warranty is worthless. I could have called a repair person that is not on the HD network and had it fixed immediately instead of getting the run around for two full months.
I could have bought a new washer the day the problem started. I would have had to wait for only one window 8-12 for delivery instead of numerous schedule changes so I can be here for the repair window. Expenses have mounted up at the Laundromat. As for the idea of giving a new appliance if the old one is not repairable, the tech needs to state it's not repairable. As long as he keeps ordering parts, it is technically repairable. I would love to attach paperwork, but none is ever given. Rip Off!!!

It arrived with a big scratch on the side. The tech didn’t hook up the water or ice maker, which I didn’t notice until after he left because of the scratch. I’ve been fighting with Samsung for a week to get someone out to see if the problem can be fixed or if I need a new fridge. Samsung shouldn't let Home Depot send anyone because it had to be their certified rep.
When I call Samsung I have to tell the same story every time I call in. I took off a 1/2 day off work to wait for their tech only to find out that Samsung had changed the app time to the next day. This has been a miserable experience, compounded by Samsung’s TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Do not buy a Samsung appliance, and if you do don’t buy thru Home Depot. We are in the midst of a major kitchen renovation, and ordered our appliances well in advance to ensure on time delivery to keep our project timeline on track. We ordered a Whirlpool refrigerator, dishwasher, and wall oven, and a GE cooktop, in store on October 7th, for delivery in mid-November. We later visited the store to actually delay our delivery to Dec 6th since our project was running a little behind.
On Nov 28th, I received a call from the Whirlpool rep at Home Depot's "depot direct" distribution center informing us that the fridge we ordered (almost two months prior) was not in stock and would not be available until May 2018 (6 months from the date of the call, and eight months from the date of our order!). I canceled the refrigerator order and ordered the same model from Best Buy, who were able to verify via phone that they had four in their warehouse and delivered it within about 3 days.
Later that evening, we received an automated call stating that our deliver date for the remaining appliances had been changed from December 6th, to December 18th. That timeline would have been completely unacceptable, so I called them back to figure out what was going on. After a couple of hours on the phone, the Whirlpool rep determined that the problem was the GE cooktop, which was back-ordered and would not be available until December 18th.
Again, I ordered it from Best Buy (who delivered it two days later) and canceled the order from Home Depot. I confirmed multiple times with the GE and Whirlpool reps (in two different departments, that are unable to speak to each other) that my GE order had been canceled, and my remaining Whirpool appliances were scheduled for delivery on Dec 7th (the 6th was no longer available by that point).
Dec 7th rolled around, and the deliver truck showed up. We were so excited to finally have out new appliances! But guess what they delivered? The GE cooktop (that was supposedly backordered and I had canceled over a week prior)! No sign of our remaining Whirlpool appliances. Over two months after placing our order, I have received no appliances from Home Depot, and received no refunds for the over $3000 worth of appliances I've had to cancel. I called the store where I placed my order this afternoon (December 8th), and two different store reps were unable to tell me the status of my remaining Whirlpool appliances (wall oven and dishwasher).
I just checked with Best Buy, and they can have them both here by Monday (today is Friday). So I am now cancelling my Home Depot order completely, and will never order any appliance from Home Depot again. This has been an unbelievable fiasco for an almost $4000 order of fairly high-end appliances. The level of incompetence demonstrated by Home Depot's distribution center, on multiple occasions, across multiple brands, and working with multiple reps, has been a ridiculously frustrating comedy of errors. I will never order an appliance from them again.

He told me to call customer service and have a new one sent out the same day my fridge was going to be delivered, which was the following weekend. When they came with the fridge the dishwasher was not with it. I had to call again to have the dishwasher scheduled to be delivered. Another two week go by and finally my dishwasher was delivered. The delivery service did refund me $150 for the troubles. A few weeks ago I go in to purchase a new washer and dryer. I purposely stayed away from GE hoping to have a better experience not knowing that Home Depot uses the same delivery service for everything.
I was scheduled for the delivery and they called the night before to let me know the dryer was on backorder, so they can't bring just the washer I have to wait. Scheduled for two weeks later. Now I got a call tonight that my washer and dryer is once again on backorder so will not be here today Saturday December 9th, the earliest is now December 26th... We purchased the 5 year buyer protection plan and were assured of the excellent customer service that Home Depot offers. Upon calling them, we were informed that they were too busy and to ask Home Depot for another repair company to look at our freezer. One week later and three more phone calls to the 1-800 number, as we were told we would receive a phone call from them with the name and number of another repair company, there was no return call and they cancelled our repair ticket. We were told to contact Samsung directly for a refund.
Earlier, we had called Samsung and we were told that they never received notice from Home Depot regarding a problem, so we would need to deal with Home Depot and Samsung can't help us. We are now locked in a battle between Home Depot and Samsung and no one seems to want to help us. Not only are we out the $2000 we paid for the fridge, but also the $200 we paid for the five year purchase protection plan - not to mention the money they promised for the loss of food. And when we called the Torrington store directly for guidance, one of the employees in the appliance department actually told us that at least the fridge was working and we should be happy. This has been a horrible experience and we would never ever purchase another major appliance from Home Depot. Their customer service is of no help and they have been less than cordial on the phone. I was having a dryer delivered and installed that was purchased at Home Depot. I received a robocall telling me when my dryer was to be delivered and if I didn't like that date, I could call an 866 number to reschedule - they called the night before it was supposed to be delivered so, If I went ahead with that date. I would've been scrambling to reschedule all of the appointments and responsibilities I needed to attend to that next day and get them all done that evening - really considerate of them to give my time such consideration and value...so I had to call to reschedule the delivery - and there went the rest of my evening.
I don't know if you've ever had to deal with Home Depot delivery, but expect exceptionally long hold times - I called them and watched my battery drain on my cell phone and the call timer tick past 37 minutes before someone finally picked up - even though this had already been a very inconvenient, inconsiderate and thoroughly aggravating experience, I was polite with the woman who answered the phone. The only reference I made to the ridiculously long hold time was that I thought she could use a few more helpers to answer the phones - and she agreed - it probably stinks working there.
So, I rescheduled the delivery - or so I believed...the next evening as I was driving home from work, I got a call from a driver who told me he was about an hour away and would be there shortly with my dryer - so much for spending nearly an hour online with these yahoos trying to reschedule that - they completely ignored it and did what they wanted to do regardless of what I had requested. I decided to go ahead and let them do it - mainly because I don't want to deal with these incompetent jokers again...just know that if you purchase an appliance from Home Depot, they'll install it whenever it suits their needs - not yours, but theirs - and somehow they call this customer service. You can't reschedule the delivery online, and it seems there's only one overworked poor woman stuck answering calls for their delivery team - she's a nice person working for cheapo jerkwad company.
So, how much is your hassle, your time, and the ability to trust and rely upon a vendor worth? Mine is worth enough so the next time I buy a major appliance, I'll likely skip Home Depot completely and buy elsewhere from a business that has a better sense of the needs of their customers and respect for their time. Get your act together Home Depot - this isn't how you win repeat customers and earn a decent reputation - but judging from the similar reviews I see written here - that doesn't appear to be much of a concern.

She spoke to a manager which confirmed that I can return the stove but would have to pay a haul away fee which I accepted. Was promised on three occasion that they were picking up the stove. First one they state there was no date for pick up, second time stated the truck broke down but no one call to tell me, third time stated they had only one person on the truck and they cancel again which no one called me to tell me. I have called Home Depot numerous time and no one know what they are doing after paying my card off. I will not shop here again. I will go to Lowe’s instead. Horrible service.

While in the process of having my kitchen remodeled we purchased a package of LG appliances from Home Depot - Spring Hill, FL store the end of October to be delivered 11/21. All appliances were in stock except the microwave so we purchased an upgraded microwave so we could rest assured they had everything for the delivery. Delivery was 11/21 to ensure we had them for Thanksgiving. Two days before delivery I received a call notifying us they had changed our delivery date to 12/1. I visited the store in late Nov to ensure this was all set and got the bad news that they would not have my appliances until mid-January. Now after disposing of our appliances before Thanksgiving we would have none for Christmas either. Never do business here.

Nov. 18th we went to purchase a refrigerator from Home Depot. I was told the earliest they would deliver it was on Nov. 22, the associate proceeded to inform me to make sure I inspect the refrigerator the day it’s deliver for any damages, if I find any damages to refuse it and they would have to deliver another one. Fast forward to Nov. 21, I received a call saying they would arrive between 12-4 the next day and to expect a call 30 min prior to the delivery. Next day I received a call at 11:30 and they arrived at 12. I went out, inspected the refrigerator and saw two very large dents on the doors, so I refused it.
The delivery man let me know he would be filing out a claim and that someone should be calling me with the next delivery date. Well it was the day before Thanksgiving so I figured I wouldn’t get a call back till Monday Nov. 27. Well on Nov. 27 I took it upon myself to call and check on the status, and was told that someone had called me to let me know the next delivery day would be Nov. 30th, which was not true because I never received a call. Anyways that didn’t matter as long as I got a delivery date. I was supposed to get a call Nov. 29th letting me know what time frame I should be expecting the refrigerator which I didn’t get.
So it’s Nov. 30th today and I called this morning to check on the delivery status and to get a delivery timeframe. I called about 10 times trying to get an answer and every time I would be put on hold and eventually they would hang up, finally I someone gave a timeframe of 12-4 so I wait. 3:30 comes around and I have yet to get a call from someone with my delivery so I call, again I call over 5 times and every time I get put on hold, they hang up, or transfer me to a department that has nothing to do with I need (which are answers).
Finally I talk to someone and come to find out the refrigerator never even made it to the delivery dock and that they had no clue where my refrigerator was at. So I decided to cancel my order and I am now going somewhere else. I’ve without a refrigerator for a week now and I’m not about to go through all this mess again just to wait another and be fridgeless. Never again am I purchasing any type of appliances from Home Depot.

I ordered an Oven, Dishwasher, and Fridge. On 11/27 I called the 800 number to make sure my order was good for their delivery date 11/28. The lady confirmed. The next day the deliver team shows up without my fridge. I called the 800 number and they told me my order was canceled, they claim it was a computer glitch. I asked why I wasn't notified and they said I was but the notification went to the wrong email, so technically I wasn't. I replaced the order with the 800 number and decide I will wait another week to get my fridge.
Later in the evening I go to use my stove for the first time and the entire cooktop is loose and moving. I called the 800 number again the next morning 11/29 to complain about it and come to find out my fridge order has been canceled AGAIN, Nobody can explain why. So I have no fridge and a dangerous stove with a loose glass cooktop. I decided to just place the order again but I only have so much room on my credit card so they said I will have to wait 2-3 weeks for the refund to appear on my card and then I can call back to place the order again. So I am looking at a month without a fridge.
I can not be more disappointed. After spending 2 hours on the phone bouncing around from person to person nobody can get me my fridge. I have requested all appliances be picked up from my home and I will be canceling other pending orders I have with Home Depot during the renovation of my home. My husband, myself, and my contractor all have Home Depot accounts and used them frequently as we redid each room in our house. Just this past month I have spent almost $3,000 with them. I will be returning every piece and we will call be canceling our accounts. The absolute worst customer service I have EVER received.

By 9:30 at night, I had no dryer and never received a phone call saying they were not coming. I called the deliver company the next day [I think they were called Sprint or Spirit], they said they called me and left a message and I had rescheduled for Nov. 13. I said that was a lie, I never received a phone call and wouldn't reschedule for a day when I am not at home.
I went into the Home Depot store. They couldn't help me because it was ordered online. They could only help me with in store purchases. So I reordered the dryer and had to call and cancel the online order. I called to cancel. Two weeks later and three phone calls later and I still don't have my $443.64 refund. Every time I call, the customer service representatives are great but I still haven't received a refund. The store that charged me said they can't help because they are waiting for some number to be released from the delivery company. I have heard that there was a call put into the supervisor, yet still no refund. How long is it going to take to get my money refunded?

We had Maytag Neptunes prior to purchasing the Samsung products and we bought them through Sears. Sears was amazing. Their service agreement was perfect and I would have NEVER waited more than 2 days to have someone at my home fixing a broken appliance. We confirmed the address and he said he'd be there in 30 mins. An hour later, I called to check in and no answer. Left a message. Another hour later, called again. Same drill. At 9 pm I called the HD and spoke with a Customer Rep. She filed a complaint ticket but was told I had to call back in the morning to try to reschedule.
Next morning (as in now), I called and have been on a holding pattern for about 45 mins. I'm typing this while on hold. Anyway, the Cust Rep told me the driver log says the address was wrong. Ok, so we all confirmed the correct address. It's correct on everyone's forms. So, here I am on hold, on hold, on hold. And looking at another 4-hour window at the delivery company's convenience. Was told a representative would call Thursday to provide a delivery time frame. No call was ever received Thursday. We attempted calling twice on Thursday to speak with someone to assist us with this delivery information with no luck. We provided 2 phone numbers and there were no messages left. Took a day off of work without pay for the delivery on Friday.
By mid morning no call was received regarding delivery time. Called and asked to speak to store manager Tamika ** and was placed on hold for 40 minutes and she never answered, responded or called back. Spoke to a rep named Patrick and stated that delivery is for Saturday. It was on back order. No one ever told us! No apologies were ever made. All he had to say was that was in the system. Didn't acknowledge that because of their error I lost a day of pay and now had to take another day without pay so they can possibly deliver on Saturday!
He refused to give me a delivery time for Saturday. At no time did he offer to correct the mistake they made and make it right. Very nonchalant and oh well attitude. My husband contacted Home Depot's Customer Care and spoke with Candace, who was very nice and he advised of what happened with our order and how upset I was the service I received.
In 15 minutes, Patrick calls my husband, and advised he was responding to Customer Care email about our experience. He goes on to say since he canceled the order after speaking with me, and the appliances could not be delivered now until Monday. My husband advised that was unacceptable, either deliver the appliances on Saturday or forget about it. He went on to say that he was unable to change the delivery because Home Depot orders directly from the factory, blah blah.blah...
My husband, said, "Will contact the factory, tell them a mistake has been made and see if exception could be made." Patrick's response, "Home Depot doesn't work that way. We're not a Mom And Pop shop". Needless to say the Service received was deplorable, no empathy, no apology even, just a "that's just the way it is and like it mentality". I Will NEVER make a purchase at Home Depot again and will share my story with everyone I can. The WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. (There is already a fridge there with a hooked up waterline- wonder how that fridge got connected?)
Fast forward 2 weeks- and $200 to get a plumber to install on/off water valve, called back to Home Depot to have icemaker water supply installed. I get a call from Home Depot saying no one answering door. I assured them we were home. Home Depot rep hung up on me. Tried to call her back about a dozen times: phone repeatedly disconnected. Delivery guys eventually showed up (I suspect they were at wrong address) and did nothing. Said we had defective icemaker. I called Home Depot to ask for replacement fridge, as I had bought extended warranty, which I was told guaranteed replacement for a defective product. Home Depot rep says that’s not so. He’ll have to check with a manager. Still waiting... It will be a cold day “you know where” before I ever buy anything again at Home Depot.

First, Home Depot should demand that products they sell, such as General Electric - GE will take a product back for defect. I've had a washer and dryer combo that I used 1 time, and 2 months later it's still just sitting there, not working. One repair guy came out, said he ordered part and never called back, I called him about 5 times and left messages, still no return call. Can't reach anyone at GE, on hold for over 1.5 hours TWICE! If HOME DEPOT can't stand behind a product then they shouldn't carry it. Or take it back and send it back to the company. It's ridiculous.
Home Depot does NOTHING to help they just keep saying, "call GE there's nothing we can do." I will tell you this, I had 24 more units to purchase for a rental complex and I won't be buying GE and I won't be buying from Home Depot. In fact, I've started buying things, even though they cost more, at local hardware shops like Ace. We purchased appliances over a month ago and one was on back order. So we opted to wait and receive both at the same time which push it out almost a month from purchase. We quickly found out that your appliance delivery is outsourced. The shipping company contacted us the day of delivery and said they could not deliver because the truck broke down. Are you kidding me!!! This is Home Depot!! Only one truck!!! Oh to make matters worse the person who call could not pronounce the word REFRIGERATOR!!!
They insisted a delivery on Monday... We chose Saturday because that is the only day of the week we are available for delivery. We opted for the next Saturday and received the confirm the day before. Well Saturday came. We waited for a call from the delivery company we were promised and clearly told in the message we received the day before. We got no call and the truck showed up 15 minutes before the end of the window of time we were told. I told them they would have to wait because they did not call and we had to empty our refrigerator. The driver was not happy about that stated he called about 2 hours prior. We received no call. We checked all our phones no missed calls or messages.
To make matters worse the oven looked like it was in a demolition derby. I did not accept or sign. I told them to put everything back on the truck. I immediately stormed to my local Home Depot and demanded a refund. Fortunately I did get refunded after waiting over an hour. Obviously Home Depot’s mission statement does not include customer satisfaction care or quality control. It's to the point where we either use bleach for towels or vinegar for clothes just to try to get the stink out. There's not chance of our clothes smelling fresh as they did with our GE front load machine. We had LG out several times to no avail... There's nothing wrong mechanically is what we're told. There's nothing we can do about the stink, even though Service Tech #3 acknowledged the towel had stink to it. We purchased the Home Depot warranty at the time being told "anything wrong at all...we'll take it back", "no hassle". So after about 3 months of this, we called Home Depot. We had to go through LG for the first year before Home Depot would even talk to us.
So, a year with stinky clothes. Now we're out of the LG service period, Home Depot continues to drag their feet on honoring their "no hassle" warranty. They set up an appointment for a service call on Friday. No show. Then another one was set today. This person has now told me we should only be washing 6 towels in the load at a time. Wow... That didn't come with the manual. We run about 8 loads a month at the very most. I am running the clean cycle regularly every single month. We are emptying the filter every month. We should not have this problem. I'm also now being told by the 4th tech that's come by for the dryer that doesn't dry properly that we have to pull it off the wall every month and clean out the back... NOT IN THE MANUAL. We do not have access space for this in our laundry room. We have recently discovered the washer seems to work half way ok if you use the bulk load setting, but what good is that with saving water?
The dryer also seems to work half way ok if you don't use the auto sensor drying mode. If these modes aren't functional then LG shouldn't fabricate a machine with those settings. The biggest complaint here is with Home Depot at 425 S. Val Vista Drive in Mesa, AZ and the way they've handled this "no hassle" warranty they sold us. For over a year we've been fighting this. This is far from no hassle. We have yet another call into the general manager. Meanwhile, I had to run a load of shirts twice this weekend to get them to come out semi-non-stinky.

I purchased an LG refrigerator in Jan. 2011, cost $2300. Also purchased extended warranty for $209. Sept. 5, 2017 the compressor went and now I am stuck with a refrigerator that could be fixed but there is not a repair person in a 3 state area that will touch LG's. After dealing with LG, with no luck, I went to Home Depot, where I purchased the refrigerator. I explained the situation and the appliance department manager said that they have had complaints regarding the LG refrigerators and no one to repair them. I asked why, if they are aware of this, are they still selling LG's and the extended warranty.
To me this is consumer fraud. Why are they being allowed to sell a product and warranties, for them, knowing full well that no one will repair them and getting parts out of Korea is impossible. I realize Home Depot is a box store but $2300 for a refrigerator and $209 for an extended warranty is not a small amount of money, at least to me. I feel something needs to be done so Home Depot cannot sell this product any longer.

We purchased a GE refrigerator from Home Depot and they were to deliver it on Friday, September 1, 2017. We were called several times to inform us of a time for delivery so we stayed home because they said it would be delivered between 7 and 8 pm. Approximately at 7:30 we got a phone call and they said they were at our mail box at the end of our road. We could hardly understand what they were saying. We told them we lived at the end of the road and they would come right in our driveway. They said, "No, too wet" and we told them to stay there and we would come show them where we lived. So we met them at the mailboxes and they thought we were going to load the refrigerator in our truck (two senior citizens). So they opened the back of their truck and every appliances were soaking wet and the boxes were falling off of them. So we told them just to take it back, we didn't want it.
We came back to the house and called Home Depot and they said someone would get back with us in 24 to 48 hours to cancel out the order. Never heard from anyone so we called them back on Thursday, September 7, said they were still waiting for a return number from the vendor. Today is September 9 and still have not heard from anyone. When it comes to large appliances, make up your own mind. Do you think this is where you want to shop?

The initial purchase (July 9th) seemed okay, except told the refrigerator was not in stock (back order). Okay, no problem, but I had to selected a delivery date for something not in stock (Aug 13th). Again, no problem because told once in stock, I could change delivery date. The initial sales associate called me with a date that was soon approaching (Aug 4th). Great, I thought. Got an auto link the night before (Aug 3rd) stating my 4 hr window for delivery. Took a drive to where I was having fridge delivered, only to get a call from Home Depot’s contracted delivery service that they were NOT going to deliver my fridge because LG had not delivered it to them. So I called the HD Pleasanton location of purchase and that is where I got the run around.
Not only did I have to speak to 4 different managers 1 store manager, I was told that I - yes I could call their contracted delivery service to see what was happening or call LG since they didn't like dealing with orders that were made in their store to be delivered to another region of California (my order was going to San Bernardino County). It took several/numerous telephone calls to finally get someone to locate and reschedule my delivery. (Aug 10th) is what I was told by the HD manager. Nothing was delivered. Again, no communication between departments and LG said they would deliver my fridge on (Aug 13th) - the original date that was set up on date of purchase when the appliance was on back order. So the refrigerator was finally delivery, and guess what: IT WAS DEFECTIVE. I had to wait another week and finally on (Aug 19th) LG delivered my refrigerator.
I was told LG would give me a check for $100 for my inconvenience but that hasn't arrived. Home Depot offered $100 and ultimately gave me $250 but the entire ordeal was done without compassion for me as a long time Home Depot customer. HD took no responsibility to assist me when I had a problem. Everyone passed the buck and I the customer, had to do all the calling around and dealing with 3rd parties. If Home Depot has a contract with a delivery service (Temco) and also has a relationship with LG to sell their merchandise, and there is a problem, then it is NOT the customers’ responsibility to resolve it, it is Home Depot’s responsibility to see that their customer is satisfied. This was a sell that left me with mixed feelings, glad I finally got my merchandise, but disheartened by the way Home Depot handled the process of the sale when it was brought to their attention that there was a problem.

When I bought my fridge and asked for it to be delivered I was only given two choices of days. Of the week I had to work both days and my boss did not want me to be gone then. I told her I HAD to. I could also not choose the time of the day. Home Depot called at a very inconvenient time and I had to leave work when I wasn't suppose to. Once I arrived at home the delivery people wouldn't come in my driveway. They said they couldn't fit. They didn't try and they didn't park on the street and use a dolly to bring it in. They said they would bring a smaller truck on another day. WHY DIDN'T HOME DEPOT ASK about the size of my driveway in the beginning.
That day arrived they were suppose to come in a small truck and they didn't come. They said they didn't have me in their system. So I picked another day. Meanwhile my boss is frustrated that I keep needing to take time off work at times that don't match our work schedule. I called Home Depot to ask if they could help narrow down a delivery time that would work with my schedule. I talked to Allen a manager. He was unhelpful, unfriendly, and unconcerned. He said he was very busy with other phone calls. I was polite and nice the whole time. He said there was nothing his manager Buck could do but he would have Buck call me. (This is called passing the buck!) Buck never called.
A couple days later I tried calling Buck. I was on hold forever. Buck never picked up. I left a message for Buck to call me. He never did. I tried calling Allen back. I couldn't get through. I would call at different times and at no time could I get through to either. I finally called the delivery company and told them of all the issues. The only time they could come that I wasn't working was during a funeral I was to attend. (At least they listened and tried to help me not miss work). I had to miss the funeral. After all that they didn't even come in the time window they said they would. (The drivers were fine though).
Once I FINALLY got the fridge it had a dent, a scratch, and some scuff marks on it. I bought a brand new fridge. It shouldn't come like that. I am still in the process of trying to deal with that damage. I called Home Depot about it and they said they'd call me back. I haven't heard back from them. It's only been one day so perhaps they'll call??? HOME DEPOT DOESN'T CARE!!! I had been planning to buy more appliances from them but NEVER AGAIN. If you can find a Mom and Pop store you'll be way better off.

Bought a Samsung refrigerator at the end of May while on sale. New model with all the bells and whistles, even with $1000 off sale price the total cost was over $3000. I looked over manuals, did not read word for word. It comes with a pitcher built into door with an infusion tube and automatic fill feature. I was using it for ice tea, decided it needed cleaning and put it in the dishwasher, it came out warped and I could no longer get the top on it which does not allow you to use the auto features and when the door closes the liquid splashes out. I brought the pitcher back to Home Depot about two months after the purchase to see about having it replaced. They were very helpful, said they would take care of it and would contact Samsung for me. They called the next day to tell me that Samsung said it was my fault and they would not replace the pitcher.
The manager of the appliance department at Home Depot said that they would cover it for me, but I had to call J&J parts which is the official Samsung parts dealer, order it, pay for it and Home Depot would reimburse me. I called J&J parts, found the part and was told it would cost $107 with tax and shipping, I said "We are talking about a water pitcher," "Well we have to send you all the parts that go with it, we can't just send you the pitcher." Another bad notice for Samsung. I have not received the part and therefore have not been reimbursed yet, but hopefully I will receive it and I know Home Depot will honor their part. Very disappointed in Samsung, it was a very expensive refrigerator and they should stand behind their product.

I live in a rental. The dishwasher broke. After a month of waiting already the landlord calls telling me one will be delivered on Friday. I was excited, tired of hand washing dishes. They arrived in a timely manner. Maybe that's what the one star can be for. I am very sorry to say not trying to be rude I could barely understand him. First the landlord paid for installation. So he was upset when I told him that. He kept telling me I had to call. I kept telling him I didn't order it. He had to talk to the landlord. So finally it was established it wouldn't be installed that day! Then he wants to leave it in the middle of my dining room. I finally got through to him I didn't want it there. So it was decided to put in garage. He tried to get me to sign for it. I told him I wouldn't until I looked at it. He became very angry, ripped the top off. It had a small chip of course. I told him to check with the landlord.
First he tried telling me it wasn't a chip. Then got pen all over the front trying to wipe the Chip off!!! He then got angry when I pointed that out and loaded it back on the truck. That was when I closed the garage and called it good. The landlord called about 4 days later. Now it's going to be 3 more weeks for them to redeliver!!! Oh and with Home Depot the expectation is you have the appliance kicking around your house and then and schedule installation at another time!!! WTF. The funniest thing is the landlord thinks that perfectly acceptable. Lucky for them it wasn't me they were dealing with. I would of had a few suggestions where they could shove it while we waiting for installation. I have heard nothing but horror stories about Home Depot. I would never buy a appliance from them. I will pay extra and go to a local company. Will update when I actually get to wash a dish! Lol.

I purchased new Maytag refrigerator, over-the-range microwave and dishwasher and they were delivered on August 12, 2017. The appliances were unloaded and unpackaged in the street and carried into my home. The refrigerator had a dent on the side, but since it would be hidden by a cabinet we accepted it. We were not able to install dishwasher as the cabinets were not yet completed. I did not notice till we went to install a week later that the enter tub was bent. I was told that Home Depot would/could not do anything since it was beyond the 48 hour acceptance policy - a policy that we were not aware of.
I was instructed to call Maytag, who set up an appointment with an appliance repair center. So now I have a brand new dishwasher that I cannot use or install waiting for replacement tub, which could take up to a month! Not to mention a never used appliance that needs repair! When I initially made the purchase the dishwasher was delivered in the same week. Ridiculous considering the amount of money I spent at Home Depot. Bought a new Whirlpool dishwasher Model #WDTA50SAHZ0 from Home Depot at the end of July 2017 with the extended warranty. About a week later it was delivered. Rude and poor would be the best way to describe the delivery team. I had the dishwasher installed a few days later. It powered up but the soap just puddled in the bottom and some was scattered and sprayed on some dishes. Nothing cleaned. Spent the next few days troubleshooting using the manual, the manufacturer's website and the web to see what might be the problem. I tried this with what little time I have as a business owner myself. When we realized the machine just didn't work we went to Home Depot. They handed us a brochure, circled a toll free number and told us to contact them and they'd take care of everything. When I called they told me that the extended warranty didn't apply until after the first 12 months so I had to call the manufacturer.
They gave me the number and I called. The manufacturer told me that this needed to be elevated to another team and that someone would get back to me. A couple days later someone finally did. I explained it all to them again. They said that a technician had to see the machine...that was the process, and one would call me soon to book a time. Days later a call came in from some guy to confirm the appointment for Monday (this was the Friday before!!). I had to take a half day off work to be there because of the short notice. On Monday the tech came in and said the main motor didn't work. I went to Home Depot and told them about it all and said I wanted a new machine as I had paid for new and would end up with something refurbished. They told me the manufacturer would have to refund them then they could refund us.
The following day they called us and said that that wasn't right and that we'd have to call the manufacturer and ask for a special warranty form and apply to see if we could get our money back. I have tried every way I can to get satisfaction from Home Depot. I am getting my extended warranty refunded tomorrow at their store but they said I'd have to wait 6 to 8 weeks for the manufacturer to hopefully refund me for the machine. That still leaves me out the installation charge and what has amounted to having to lose a day from my work to handle this brutal experience. Terrible product. Terrible service and no support from Home Depot. A single customer means nothing to them. The thousands I spend there every year will now go elsewhere.
I wouldn't recommend a Whirlpool product to anyone and as far as Home Depot goes I have been a loyal customer to them since they arrived in Canada. This is what that means to them... nothing. I advise anyone looking for appliances to shop around and ask about service and refund policies. I'm not sure one retail vendor is any better than the next, but I can assure you HD has lost us.

I would highly advise anyone considering purchasing major appliances (like washers and dryers) from Home Depot not to do that. I have had nothing but a horrible experience with Home Depot since the Electrolux Washers and Dryers were purchased from them back on May 31, 2017. Firstly, they couldn't deliver the washer and dryer until July 1, 2017. Then when the washers and dryers were delivered, I was told by the 3rd party deliverer that I couldn't use my washing pan that I had purchased (and they didn't balance my washer and dryer at all). They also damaged my property during the installation. I filed a claim against that and I still haven't heard anything back on it (almost 2 months later). So one of the plumbing experts from the Home Depot store in Wyomissing, PA had to come out 7 days later, with the 3rd party delivery guys again, to re-balance my washer and dryer and figure out how to get it into the pan correctly.
The washer and dryer are still unbalanced and I was told that this was due to my flooring and that there was nothing they could do (because it's also in a tight space). Fine. It's been 2 months of using the washer and dryer consistently and no issues. Then on Saturday night, the washer started flashing E11 and saying it couldn't load the water. I called the Home Depot Protection Plan which I purchased when I bought my washer and dryer and they set up an appointment to have it looked at/repaired today. So I took off of work to make sure I'm here for it. I had a funny feeling, since I never heard from the 3rd party repair service to confirm the appointment, so I called the 3rd party repair service to confirm the appointment and got a voicemail that the technician was out of the office.
So I called the Home Depot Protection Plan again and they confirmed that my claim had been rejected by the 3rd party repair technician because the claim hadn't come directly from Electrolux. I escalated to a supervisor and that supervisor (whose name I don't remember) was so rude to me during the entire call - gave me attitude and then just forwarded my call back to the 3rd party technician who was out of the office on vacation. So I had to call the Home Depot Protection Plan back again and they assured me that they were going to get me another service technician. But here I sit, without anything resolved yet... just twiddling my thumbs. I'm glad that Home Depot thinks that I just have countless work time to burn to deal with issues that they're causing by having these 3rd party vendors who aren't reliable.
I have a feeling that even after the 3rd party technician comes to my place (if that ever truly gets scheduled), they won't be able to resolve the issue... just because that's the experience I've been having thus far. Just do yourselves a favor and avoid this kind of headache/nightmare altogether. I understand that outsourcing certain things is cost-effective in the short term, but it's clearly not cost-effective or generally effective in the long term. You'd be better off spending a little more money and buying your appliances from a mom and pop shop. Or I would go to Lowe's. I purchased a stove from Lowe's at the same time that I purchased this washer and dryer from Home Depot and the experience with Lowe's was 1000x better. No issues with that whatsoever.

I ordered a Kitchenaid dishwasher with installation kit, delivery and haul away, and 5-year protection plan on July 5th. It was to be delivered on July 19th, and I was told to move all furniture and obstacles so delivery personnel would have a clear path. I complied, and the dishwasher was delivered on July 19th as promised. The delivery people spoke very little English, and I know very little Spanish, but they managed to tell me that the drain hose was too short. So, I called Home Depot Customer Service and asked what could be done. The rep spoke Spanish and asked to talk to them. Then, she told me they would leave the dishwasher there and contact me to schedule installation in few days with a longer hose.
Right after they left I noticed they left the box in the middle of my living room, and the dishwasher was sticking out of the installation space at a right angle to my silverware drawer - just enough that I couldn't open it. By July 28th, I still hadn't heard anything and called the Home Depot store that delivered it, and was told the person I needed to talk to wasn't there and they would call back. They didn't. I called back twice. I finally called the appliance hotline and talked to Lindsay, who was very helpful and set up installation for August 4th.
On August 4th, I was home waiting all day, and finally called the Appliance Hotline at 7:05 p.m. and asked if someone was still on their way. I was told they would be there around 8 p.m. They arrived about 8:15 and installed the dishwasher and turned it on before they left. I asked why they were turning it on, and they said that they had to be sure it worked. The next morning I went down to the laundry room to remove some clothes from the dryer, and the wall under the dishwasher was streaked with water stains and there was a puddle on the floor.
I called a plumber with Roto Rooter who said that nothing was wrong with my pipes or shutoffs, and the problem was probably the dishwasher and that I needed to call Home Depot, because if he touched it, it would void my warranty. I called Home Depot and was passed around again. It was a Saturday (August 5th) and the person I needed to talk to wasn't there after I had called twice. On Monday, I talked to Abbie. I was told that I needed to talk to the Claims Department (Sedgwick). I told them my water was shut off in the kitchen since Saturday, and that I really just needed someone to check how it was installed. They took down my information, gave me a claim number and told me someone would call within 48 hours.
On August 14th, I finally called Sedgwick back and told them that no one had called. And even though I have given everyone I talked to my new phone number, she said I wasn't called because they didn't have my new number. She said she sent a message to Delivery and that they had 48 hours to respond to me. On Tuesday, August 15th, I was called told the person I was talking to that I was still without water in my kitchen, was washing my dishes in the bathroom sink, have health issues that require I prepare my own food, and that I either needed the dishwasher fixed or removed, so that I can have use of my water again. She said she was scheduling me for a service call on Thursday, August 17th, and that they would call me one half hour before they arrived. No one came or called.
I called Home Depot again and was told that it was a service call from the manufacturer that was scheduled. They have no idea why they didn't show and that I should call back early in the morning. At this point, I am feeling very unwell, want my water back on, and don't care if I have a dishwasher anymore. I just want them to take it back and leave me alone!

Not true. I was home all day. They then said that they tried to call and as it was an old phone number. No one answered. (We had already confirmed delivery by email so the call wasn't necessary.) On the delivery instructions we had included a current phone number they just didn't bother to call it.
A new delivery date was scheduled a WEEK later. Two days before we got a call asking if we still wanted the delivery and we confirmed that we did and were assured that we would get our delivery, but on the day of the scheduled delivery we haven't received an email or call confirming the time so called to be sure the delivery was indeed coming. We were told that there was no delivery scheduled for us and we wouldn't be getting the refrigerator again. After many phone calls and complaints we are now told that the soonest we can have the delivery is another 3 days form now. At this point we over 2 weeks from the date ordered. I got a replacement refrigerator from Home Depot. As Home Depot's online ordering system had some issue, I was not able to place an order online. Therefore, I chatted with the customer support representative and asked her to place the order on my behalf. I gave the tax exemption number and specifically requested that sales tax not be charged. But she messed it up and charged the sales tax. When I received the receipt, I followed up with the representative, and they were not able to fix it. I was asked to call after a couple of days as they might not do anything about the pending order. I called them again after a few days and was transferred to multiple departments, and none of them were able to assist. Finally, I was asked to go to the store.
Yesterday, I went to the store on countryside (140 Countryside Plaza, Countryside, IL 60525) in the morning. I went again yesterday, and I was told that I need to go to another store on Cicero (7200 S Cicero Ave, Bedford Park, IL 60638). Yesterday night I went to this store, and they told me that they could not assist with this and I have to talk to the online people (they are the one who told me in the first place that I need to get the assistance from the local store). First of all there was a defective part on the washer and there was water inside the washer to prove that it was installed before. Their delivery guy came and said that we needed to replace our valve in order to install the washer and so he just placed my washer in the garage. In addition, he broke my old washer trying to remove it and I haven't been able to wash my clothes since then. A few days after we called our plumber to fix the valve in our house. We also asked him to take a look at our washer. Our plumber said that the connector on the washer is broken.
We called their installer and they didn't want to do anything about it and told me to call Home Depot. After calling home depot I was told that the return policy is 48 hours after the delivery. NO ONE TOLD ME THAT BEFORE. PLUS THEIR DELIVERY GUY DID NOT CHECK FOR ANY DAMAGES ON THE WASHER. What's worst is that I called in their technician and he even agreed that the washer has been installed before. I even have proof of him saying it on video and home depot doesn't believe me. The customer service representative kept saying "Sir, in our database the technician never said that". And in the end all they can say is "We can't help you with that." I called customer service at my local HD & the manager said he would see what they can do. I am so sorry that I ever placed this order. Years ago I said after a French door fiasco that I would never do business with Home Depot again. I wish I had stuck with that decision.

The only reason I'm giving Home Depot 1 star is because that's the least I can give!!! First I went to Home Depot searching for a dryer to replace the one I had/have, when I finally did the research and picked the one I wanted when dealing with salesperson I was there over 2.5 hours because she's was only in that dept for 3 months!!! Then it got delivered on a day that suited their schedule not mine!!! So it got delivered and I told Home Depot not to install I'll do it (it's an electric dryer so basically just setup vent for it and plug it in). I proceeded to do that and follow manufactures guidelines on letting it run for 1/2 hour before using to take the new burner smell out of dryer. As it is on and turning I hear a clunk every rotation (this is on a Sunday they delivered on Saturday).
I called Home Depot to come swap it out. Person from appliances said "NO" it's Maytag’s problem, I called Maytag and they are closed on Sundays so I waited for Monday and called Maytag during my working hours they said "no" call Home Depot. It's in the 48 hour return policy there. So I called Home Depot and explained to them what Maytag had said, Home Depot said sorry it's Maytag a problem. They called Maytag and hashed it out!!! So now Maytag is sending over a repair man to replace a drum "they think" might be the prob. So I'm waiting for them to repair my brand new never used dryer!!! So basically I've had a dryer for 3 weeks because they have to order the part and can't use my dryer!!! I hate Home Depot. Always the same crap when I go there!!!

I purchased a brand new refrigerator made by Maytag from Home Depot store 222 located in Davie, Florida under 2 years ago. At the time of purchase I was not offered an extended warranty from the associate because the item was supposed to have a factory warranty of 1 year and a ten year warranty for the compressor or motor on the item. The motor has gone bad under two years and Home Depot nor Maytag is giving is me any type of solution to the problem without it costing me hundreds of dollars or possibly a new refrigerator.
I am asking for some help in resolving this issue because I am an elderly person who is on a fixed income and does not have the resources to go out and get a new refrigerator. I spent over $1500 on this refrigerator under two years and simply cannot afford to get a new one now. I am a diabetic whose insulin has to be refrigerated. Help me please. I have provided the model number of the refrigerator and serial number. Model number: WRF560SEYM04 Serial number: VS53889270.

Absolutely not. Strike three. I called and spoke to Pat the manager at the Stratford, CT store, where I purchased the freezer and he was going to get back to me with some type of compensation - have not heard from him. Strike four? My freezer is now scheduled to be delivered on Monday - one week later than promised - will I receive it on that day and will I receive it within the time period - who knows? Strike five???

I am very disappointed in Home Depot. My delivery was scheduled for 6/15. They call one day prior to the delivery and state Ithaca stove had not arrived. It leaves me 7 days without appliance. They Promised me credit for $100, but instead, they send me some rebate for 25 to be used for GE products. I don't need any products and what can you buy for 25 dollars. Totally lied so they could get a sell. Top that off, I must send a receipt and it will take 8 weeks. How is that compensating me. Alexis a store employee also said it was odd and GE customer services Rep! Do not show at Home Depot. The supervisor was rude as well. I held 12 minutes before they could get me a rep.

I ordered a Dishwasher with installation and haul away of the old appliance. The delivery guys were most unprofessional - they messed up my kitchen and left installation half way. I have 2 dishwashers sitting in my kitchen with practically no space to move around. They wanted to break the tiles to take out the dishwasher. When my husband said no need they said take it out yourself. When my husband started to remove the old dishwasher they requested to warm the food in my microwave and said they will come after lunch on their way back. They did not come back.
When I called delivery service they said they will come in an hour. After an hour they said to wait till End of the day. If they dont come call back tomorrow. When I called the next day they said "sorry we will have to create a new Work Order" and they will show up after 5 DAYS. I called Home Depot to escalate the matter. They said "sorry we will NOT help". They will come after 5 DAYS. Worst experience ever - caused us so much aggravation - no usable kitchen with 2 small kids! AVOID ordering from Home Depot - Lowe's is much better!!!

I purchased a GE refrigerator and a 3 year warranty/ protection plan July 2014. In May of 2015 I called HD explaining I'm having a problem with my fridge. They flatly refused to help saying I cannot use the plan the first year b/c it's still under warranty with GE. Audrey explained it doesn't "kick in" until the second year after my GE warranty ends. No worries - my HD plan will expire 7/2018 and I'll get a full 3 years. Well, today I noticed my renewal notice stated expiration is on 7/18/17, so I called and was told protection starts the day of purchase. Bottom line - stay away from HD warranty/protection plans. You pay for a 3 year plan and get a 2 year plan. CROOKS!!!

Purchased this refrigerator(Samsung Stainless French Door Refrigerator) 3 1/2 yrs ago... Stainless started to disappear a little over a year ago and now the entire outside of the refrigerator looks like a total splish splash. Streakings running down freezer door and front. Just a total mess of a dab of paint here and there. Home Depot's response is that this is cosmetic and not covered under additionally purchased 5 year protection plan. Clearly this is a defect in the stainless finish.

On 5/30, I purchased a range, microwave and dishwasher. I was given a delivery date of 6/17. When I phoned for delivery time, it was changed to 6/24 and was told delivery would be between 8:30a-12p. I phoned at 12:30p only to be told the delivery people did not show up but I would have delivery on 6/28. Phoned on 6/28 and was informed they only had the dishwasher on the truck. When they arrived, the men looked under the sink and told me I did not have the correct line for hookup and left (they were very rude).
Phoned the Brandywine Home Depot store in Delaware and was told by the manager, "it would be delivered on 7/1." Needless to say, again no delivery and was told it would be delivered on 7/10. When I phoned the manager again was told they would only deliver all 3 items and would not make a trip out again. This time I cancelled. This store's customer service is beyond words. I would put in this complaint but I have had it with HOME DEPOT. I will take my business to Lowe's or Best Buy. I phone the corporate office who's service was not better than their store. Buyers beware!!!

I'm very disappointed and frustrated with the delivery services of Home Depot. We urgently needed a washer and bought it from HD. The salesperson assured us that product would be delivered in four days. On the date of delivery I was told they were overbooked and they rescheduled. For next 3 times they didn't bother to call us and kept us waiting, when we called the company we heard the same thing over and over that they are overbooked. Not only that, we were also told the company called and left messages on our phone. Both our listed phones have answering machines, caller ids and missed call list. We did not receive any call. Finally we cancelled the order and then the delivery guy called us. There was no communication between the company and delivery people. Very disappointed.
