I purchased an evaporator cooler plus 2 year extended warranty. I was charged 200 that day. 2 days later they took out the extended warranty again and today another 175. Wtf! When you live paycheck to paycheck they double charged me when I have bills due. They said it’s an authorization charge. Really? They took it out twice! Other online businesses don’t do that, why does Home Depot? It’s wrong! You should get charged once and that’s it! Oh 3-5 days to be reversed which is totally wrong messing with people’s money. I will never buy online with them ever again!

We purchased a dishwasher during the Memorial Day sale and when doing so we were offered a $25.00 discount if we opened a Home Depot credit card. We agreed but upon receiving our first statement the discount was not applied. Upon calling Customer Service on 6/03/19 we were apologized to by a Rep by the name of Casey and he assured us that the discount would be applied the next billing cycle. We proceeded to pay the balance in full minus the $25.00 on the advice of Customer Service. I called today, 6/17/19 to make sure the account was paid and was told we have a $25.00 balance. Upon asking to speak to a Supervisor we were connected to Samantha and her response was that since we were given a 10% discount due to Memorial Day sale we were not eligible for any other promotion. This is absolute fraud on the part of Home Depot.
We did not ask to open a credit card on the day of sale but was advised by a Home Depot employee that in doing so we would save an additional $25.00. This was also confirmed the fist time we contacted Home Depot. Samantha was unwilling to to honor the discount promised and could care less about what we were promised by her company. This is incredibly poor business practice and in the future we will go out of our way to shop at Lowe's before ever spending another dime at Home Depot. I requested Samantha to cancel our credit card immediately and all she could say was if you do that you will not be eligible to open another one in the future. So I guess threats and fraud is Home Depot’s way of doing things.

Unfortunately, I can't write a finished review. All I can do is write what is happening so far because I'm still waiting. I purchased a top of the line KitchenAid Stove from the Waterbury Store In November and it is now June and I'm having electrical issues. Since I can't cook I called to have them send a repair person out to see what the issue is that is causing my stove to shut off while trying to cook. It can be a fire risk so I have to be safe. Well, the first time I called they told me a repair person would call me to make an appointment to assess my stove. Ok. No call. I waited four days thinking I may have missed the call. So I called Home Depot back to see if someone was coming and they said I have to call the manufacturer. Then they couldn't give me the number or find my name and purchase in the computer.
Now I have to bring my paperwork and have them look at that. On the original delivery, they delivered the wrong model and asked if I wanted to send it back but at this point I was already unable to cook for a week. Now 7 months later after purchasing a new top brand stove it's as if I never bought anything and I'm back in the same situation unable to cook. I'm still waiting to resolve this. Unbelievable how they couldn't just give me a number to call. I'm hoping to have everything done to my satisfaction so I could write a better review if that ever happens. Anne.

We purchased a refrigerator for our rental house which is 6 houses away from our residence. When purchased they never asked if it was to be delivered anywhere but our residence. When they arrived they refused to deliver, install and haul the old one away due to address. They left the refrigerator in our truck and just left leaving a 66 year old disabled man to get the new refrigerator out of the truck, up 12 steps, installed and the old one down and disposed. Do not use them!!!

I bought a Range from Annandale Home Depot store and it was supposed to be delivered on June 12 the from 4 PM - 8 PM. I was waiting but there was no call or no update from the delivery man. I called the GE Appliances delivery service with the phone number given in the tracking and the representative put me on hold mentioning that she is reaching the delivery people. I was hold for over 40 mins. Then I called again and then a guy picked up saying to call the next day. I did call on June 13th.... I spoke with 3 representatives. Each person put me on hold for over 40-45 mins stating they are trying to figure out what happened. But there was no answer and I was put on hold. Then finally a guy picked up and I was very upset.
He put me on hold for 5-7 min then said he is trying to find out, then after 5 mins he said the truck broke down and can't be delivered until the 15th. I was really disappointed. They never updated me for that. He was enforcing me to reschedule. Because of this ridiculous service I will never order anything in future from Home Depot. THE DELIVERY SERVICE IS VERY VERY VERY RIDICULOUS AND IS OF NO HELP. RIDICULOUS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

Went online Saturday, June 8th, to purchase a new gas grill from the Home Depot which is only about 10-15 miles from me. I was unsure whether the grill would fit in my mid-sized SUV so I paid the extra $20 for "express delivery" and to receive it the same day - Saturday June 8th. At checkout it stated that the delivery could be anytime between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm.
So, I sat around my house all day yesterday, Saturday June 8th, and kept my cellphone handy in case the delivery driver called. 1 pm, 2 pm, 4 pm, 6 pm, 8 pm... no delivery. No text, no call. I check the status using their online process and it shows that it is out for delivery. 9 pm... nothing. I call Home Depot's 1-800 number and a nice young lady says she will check on it. I'm on hold several minutes and she comes back on the line and says that she has a couple of possible answers.
1. Due to traffic (I'm in Oklahoma City...traffic issues? LOL) they may just be running late and could still end up delivering the grill as late as 11:00 pm.
2. If I don't have it by noon on Monday, June 10th, to call Home Depot back.
REALLY? So, I paid the extra $20 for express same day delivery, which didn't happen. I sat around my house all day Saturday to be there for delivery which didn't happen... And I now have to wait until Monday??? Wow. Not even a call or a text from anyone to tell me that it wasn't being delivered as promised. Of course HD will tell me that they use an outside delivery carrier and it isn't their fault. Yeah... it really is. That would be like a home builder who says he isn't responsible for the shoddy work of his subs. Bottom line - I always thought our local Lowe's sucked and I quit going there. HD now sucks just as bad. I guess I just need to stick to Ace Hardware.

After waiting 14 days for Home Depot to deliver the dishwasher the delivery man said that he didn’t have a cord long enough to reach the plug under my sink that sat next to the dishwasher. I specifically asked him if he didn’t have a longer cord with him. He told me no, that I had to call an electrician and have him pull the wire down from the plug on top of the counter and install a plug on the wall behind the dishwasher. He left the dishwasher in the crate, unopened, in the entry of my Condo. It was nearly 5:00. I was number 12, the last delivery. Now I have to wait another 7 days for the dishwasher to be set up. I called the electrician recommended as “the best one”. He came out, checked the Breaker Box, said it was good and turned off the switch.
He found a live wire in front of the dishwasher lying on the floor. He connected it to a double plug commercial box and left the box sitting on the floor in front of the old dishwasher. Then he charged me $296.51. I asked him if he installed the new lug that trips if it comes in contact with water. He said “No, that is not needed yet. Even called the office to confirm that was correct. Now I have to wait for another 7 days for the dishwasher to be set up in working order. In all, I have paid $1.181.56 when HD should have told me that I could buy a $29.95 6’ dishwasher cord (they have them for sale on the HD website but I didn’t know that.
I am single. I am not knowledgeable about these things. I am also an 83 1/2 year old SENIOR and this is just one example of how unknowing Senior Citizens are RIPPED OFF. It happens all the time. I have to fight for what is right constantly. I am a self directed investor and I gained 66.37% in my Retirement Accounts in 2017 according to my Brokerage, Fidelity Investments, so not All Seniors are brain dead! Instead of $297.51, I should have paid $29.95 for the 6’ dishwasher cord. I want the money I was charged needlessly and referred to by Home DEPOT’S “BEST” electrician, Nick, at Mr. Electricity in Houston, TEXAS. $297.51 and I will buy a 6’ dishwasher cord for $29.95 as I suggested to the deliveryman in the first place. Thank you. Joanne **. I called HD. In the I asked HD for electrician recommendations. They gave me four. Said the last one is the best one.

I made a purchase from the York Home Depot for a stove and refrigerator. A day later I bought the microwave to match. First off one day made such a big deal that Home Depot refused to combine my orders on the same delivery truck. That started off the bad taste in my mouth. Secondly was the big issue. I received a call the day before my delivery was due to be delivered and was told the driver will be out between 2 and 6 pm. Ok, that was great... However I waited all day from 2pm and by the time 6 pm rolled around I called customer service to see where the driver was and if he was delayed. Notice I never received a phone call to tell me he would be late. When I called the first red flag was, "We have no idea where the driver is!" Second they kept me on hold for almost 20 minutes trying to track down the delivery truck and driver. No truck, No Driver!
Third, the delivery truck and driver is MIA! How do you not know where your drivers are. Shouldn't you have a dispatch and tracking system like most valuable companies do? So it's now 9:52PM and they still have no clue where or what happened to the driver and the truck. Home Depot stated "We are unable to locate our truck and our driver". This is totally unacceptable. I said, can we reschedule my delivery and I wanted a refund for the delivery charges. Home Depot tells me when the delivery arrives I can refuse it. They are giving me some numbers to call tomorrow to complain about my experience. REALLY!!! Now, if I refuse the delivery all together there's so much red tape to go through to get my money back and it will take 30 days. NO, this is ridiculous. Reorder my appliances and send them out the next day and refund my delivery fees. I will never have anything delivered or purchased from Home Depot again when it comes to major appliances.
This is not their first screw up, they did it to my neighbor as well. Who hires drivers like this? It worries me that I am relying on this person to install my "GAS" stove. I understand something medical could of happened or an accident could of taken place but, not working with me as a customer. Home Depot you dropped the ball.

Appliances were delivered on Fri, May 24th, by “trained” appliance installers. On Saturday, the following day, I went to run a load of laundry in my new full size stackable washer/dryer only to find that the washer had never been plugged in. I was then told that due to the Memorial Day weekend no one would be able to come out to plug it in until Tuesday the 28th. When I called on Tuesday the 28th, no one had any record of the fact that someone was supposed to come out to plug it in on that day, although they did have a record of my formal complaint. Now I was told it could not be taken care of until the 31st. Each time I called no one had the correct phone numbers or the correct information. I would never purchase another appliance from Home Depot ever again.

Do Not use Home Depot in Lenoir City, TN. I purchased a new KitchenAid dishwasher and on 5/23/2019 it was delivered BUT it did not work. I asked the installers to take it with them. They said they could not as it would leave the water drain open. They said they would order us a new one from KitchenAid. We went to Home Depot the next day and asked for a replacement as soon as possible. On 5/30/2019 I again went to Home Depot to ask, "Where is my dishwater?" They said, it had never been ordered from the manufacturer, KitchenAid. I am disputing this charge and will order another one from Lowe's.

Home Depot uses LG logistics to deliver their appliances purchased from the Noblesville Indiana store. This company does not communicate with Home Depot and vice a versa. When they showed up they informed us the washer and dryer were to already be removed. I paid $40 for both appliances to be removed. Why would I take them out into the garage when I am single and cannot move those types of items? They went ahead and removed them and says this happens all of the time.
Furthermore, after installing the washer I complained that it did not look level. They told me to wash a load and it would level out. I got A level out and demonstrated how uneven it was and that I was not going to live with that. They told me the washer legs were not adjustable on my model. After looking through the installation manual it is one of the first things that are to be done. Leveling of the washer is extremely important. I found a piece of wood out in the garage and they lifted it up and stuck it under the legs and it was level. However the wood sticks out way beyond my washer. How stupid are these people? The legs are adjustable for leveling as an idiot would know.
Also damaged my folding doors and knocked them off track. Couldn’t get them to close after putting them back on track and had to have somebody come out and fix them. This is absolutely ridiculous when you pay so much for these types of products and Home Depot uses a company like LG logistics who does not seem to not know their head from a hole in the ground.

We purchased a new LG flat cooktop from Home Depot where they told us that no one makes self clean ovens anymore and everything is now “easy clean.” Sounded great at the time, but what a nightmare this feature is. For starters... 200 degrees for 10 minutes is not going to clean an oven! I was instructed to clean it every few weeks and it wouldn’t be a problem. I have been doing this and when the cycle is done there is nothing but greasy water in the bottom which has to be soaked up with a sponge, which then becomes saturated with grease. The sides and bottom of the oven are still coated with grease and then I love to spend the next 2+ hours with soap and vinegar trying to clean the oven. Talk about going back to the dark ages! So disappointed with this product. Won’t ever buy another LG product or shop at HD where they blatantly lied to us about the self cleaning.

I purchased a Samsung dishwasher a couple years ago, along with the rest of my kitchen and laundry room. Extended warranties on all items. The dishwasher in particular has been a thorn in my side. Three claims over the past year and half for the LC (leak?) error code, three repairs. During my third claim, I called the store of purchase and pleaded with them to help me procure a usable dishwasher. They stated they could do nothing for me, I had to continue to go through Asurion for repairs.
Last week my fourth claim went in, hoping to just get a refund under the (clearly stated) Lemon Policy. The technician came out yesterday and verified the issue was indeed the same as prior visits, and he informed Home Depot (or Asurion). Today I am told that I will not be receiving a refund because the dishwasher is under Samsung's warranty and they simply transferred me to Samsung support to schedule yet ANOTHER technician visit. At this point I just want a refund on the dishwasher, and the extended warranty because it is completely useless now. Shame on Home Depot for offering such a horrible extended warranty and even being associated with Asurion. Now I am stuck without a dishwasher until yet another service call gets scheduled. I'm sure this will require yet another day away from the office to babysit the technician while they assess the issue and order another part... Then another day to install another part. The saga continues.

Writing about my 2 experiences with Home Depot installers. The first was last year when we bought an over the range microwave. Delivery was scheduled for a Wednesday, and we were told that we had to remove the old unit. So I did that Tuesday evening. Wednesday morning we get a call that the microwave didn't come in, and won't be delivered until Saturday. Remember the over the range part? I had milk crates holding up the cabinets over the microwave, so couldn't put the stove back until the install done. Three days of no hot meals besides toast.
Install crew comes out Saturday, bring in microwave, ask me to sign for it. Say they were never told to install it. Showed them the receipt saying install paid for, they called someone and argued on the phone, then put the microwave up. Afterwards, they ask if we want the box. Nope. They then took some stuff out and said they were "extra parts". I didn't realize that the vent damper was extra, but I guess it is when you leave it taped shut (found that out when HD sent out another installer, who, per the store manager, "goes around and fixes the problems when the outside crews do installs."
So, we needed some new windows in the house. HD running a special on windows installed, so I ordered them and put 25 percent down. Set up a delivery date and time. Get the robocall every day for a week reminding me of the install info, and have everything ready when they get there. Supposed to arrive between 9-11am, I call my "project manager" at noon, never got a callback. Call the 800 number at 1230, the woman tries to contact the installer but he's not answering his phone. She confirmed the delivery date and time as being correct. Get a call from a district manager at 130 telling me that the installer, after coming to the house to verify the measurements, never submitted his paperwork. Delivery date and time to be determined, and oh yeah, one of the windows to be replaced broke yesterday and won't close, but that's not their problem.

We bought a washer and dryer from Home Depot a couple weeks ago and had a awful experience. First time they came to the house to install they showed up without the stacking kit so they couldn’t install them. Had to wait another week later for them to come back out to install, second time they came out they ordered the wrong size stacking kit so again couldn’t install. Third time they came out to install the men looked lost and didn’t properly install the washer, they left a hose disconnected so water leaked everywhere. So after 3 visits, missing work for the delivery time slots, spending continuously money for their mistakes they still didn’t properly hook up our appliances. We will NEVER again order appliance from Home Depot, worst experience ever!

This past year we purchased a new stove, microwave and refrigerator. All were Samsung. The Microwave started sounding like an airplane motor. The stove is not configured properly. When I put something in the Microwave the knobs in front of stove turn on. Usually you have to press in and turn the knob to turn on. But my stove just turns on with a little pressure. Very scary if you have young children.
The worst part is the refrigerator. It is beautiful but Samsung put a defective ice maker in their refrigerator. We have had 2 repairmen out twice already for refrigerator and once for microwave. In less than a year, Ice maker freezes up and no ice is produced and it also leaks. We bought a stainless steel and it is made with such cheap product that dents with hardly any pressure. I am very disappointed in the products we purchased and will never buy from Samsung or Home Depot again. Less than two years ago we purchase a Samsung washer, dryer and large TV. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will last. Cheap materials used to build these products. Beware because we spent a lot of money and are still paying for them, and they are not worth it.

On November 26, 2018, my wife and I purchased 4 major kitchen appliances from our local Home Depot store in Palm Harbor, FL. We had to wait for the microwave until mid February 20, 2019 before it was received and installed. Our issue was installation: The microwave was installed by the trucking company that delivered our appliances. The microwave was damaged beyond repair during the installation. Home Depot told us that we would receive a new replacement for the damaged microwave by about May 20, 2019. When we called Home Depot in May 2, 2019, HD said there were none of our model LG Microwave in stock and did not know when they would have them in stock!
In short, HD told us to buy a microwave from another distributor and they would refund our microwave from our HD store account! I said that I would be paying more for the microwave and didn't have room on our credit cards for nearly $800 in charges (with installation and shipping). When we tried to find another solution to the HD issue, we were bounced around from appliance department to front desk to store manager - all of which did not resolve our damaged microwave. Also, while installing our microwave, the delivery company also damaged our new LG Range! Where do we go for assistance? We have exhausted our remedies and still have an issue~!! It is an LG Microwave, model MVMH1117ST - stainless steel with convection and sensor cooking! Only place found in stock was Appliance Connection - online!

I purchased a refrigerator from Home Depot. The 1st one they delivered was severely damaged. They had already taken my 2 year old refrigerator which was sold out for me to place in my garage. While carrying it out they dropped its side damaging the left corner and scratching the rest of that side. They told me instead of bringing the old one in house they would leave it and send a new one. While placing it in space it was a little tight. While one of the delivery men pushed the it the other one pulled on my new cabinet. He pulled out board from the bottom.
I made sure they wrote on receipt that refrigerator was damaged. They told me I would receive call later that day. I waited for hours and never received a call. When I called them back they had no idea what I was talking about. After arguing with them they offered to take $100 off refrigerator. I told them no I want a new refrigerator. They gave me a date for delivery of a new one. I received call the day before and minutes before the delivery they called to say it was never put on truck.
I then received a call from their warehouse and was told that they had never received it from the manufacturer. They set up delivery date for another delivery. I then say what are they going to do about my refrigerator that they damaged. They said that I would have to call the delivery company that they sub and file claim. Of course no one could give me that info. When I finally got their info I placed many calls in over a year. No one ever returned my calls. I finally gave up. I forgot to mention mention that the 1st time they made a delivery a delivery to my home the year before they tore up my brand new linoleum and was going to leave. When I mentioned it they told me to pulled out the dryer a few inches so I would not see it. They did finally agree to replace it. I am out $400 for the damaged refrigerator. We had the WORST SERVICE EVER. FIRST of all, we kindly asked to remove his dirty shoes or wear “boot socks” before coming upstairs to my laundry room, he gives a clearly reply saying “NO we cannot do this as it is Home Depot policy.” I clearly called the head office to ask what policies Home Depot has and she had told us he is allowed to wear boot socks over his shoes. Second, this Home Depot location did not provide us with ALL the necessary detailed such as, not telling us that we have to remove all the pipes from our old laundry washing machine by ourself and how we can not use a old pedestal for our new machine. He kept on saying “He’s a busy worker and has 20 orders after us and this is wasting his time” when in reality it was a waste of our time and money. We payed for shipping and handling and service fees for installation.
When they came to deliver it they were the RUDEST PEOPLE I have EVER met. He brought the machine to my driveway and started to leave until my sister said that we PAYED for installation and then he had started to say “NO, SHOW ME THE BILL” acting like we were lying to him. When my dad showed him the bill his eyes opened up and started walking upstairs WHERE he BROKE our CHANDELIER and didn’t say anything about it until my sister saw him KICK IT TO THE SIDE. (What kind of customer service is this?)
When getting to the laundry room he PUSHED my dad to the side (which is ASSAULT) and started to remove the pipes from my laundry room when he could have done this from the beginning. He insulted me infront of my neighbourhood by yelling at me and he left my laundry machine unhooked without installing my new laundry washing machine. He gave us a very hard time. I would NOT recommend anyone to purchase any type of appliances from this location as after we had told the store manager this has happened, nothing was done to meet customer satisfaction. If I could give a 0 in this review I REALLY would.

Let me start off by saying that I understand that the Delivery/Installation company is contracted through HD, and not actually employed by HD and that they have minimal control over these companies practices, but they need to rethink their partnership with the people they are choosing to represent their company. We just had our THIRD terrible experience buying a major appliance from Home Depot. The first one was a refrigerator when we moved into our new house. It is French door style stainless and one of the doors had a huge dent. Luckily it was just cosmetic and they were able to install it and just came back later to replace the door with a new one.
The second time, the dishwasher in our rental property was starting to show its age and was on its last legs, so we replaced it for our renters. Thank God it was still somewhat functioning, because relying on Home Depot's delivery service to be prompt is a joke. The whole ordeal was almost THREE WEEKS. We waited about a week for it to be delivered. It arrived and of course it was damaged. Not minor damage, but the whole front was caved in like it was literally dropped from the truck onto the ground.
Obviously delivery was refused. So then they give us another date for the following week. I call Home Depot to dispute this, asking why they cannot expidite it in some way since we've already waited a week and it was not our fault that it arrived damaged. Why should we pay the price for their screw up? HD basically told me that they have nothing to do with the company and they have no control over it. Basically just told me to kick rocks. I asked if she could put a note that if there was a cancellation in the schedule before our delivery date if they could call and put us on early. She said she would. Not surprisingly we didn't receive a call before our scheduled day. So delivery day #2 comes, it's uncrated, luckily looks great.
They get to installing and tell our renter that they can't install it because of a plumbing issue that was apparently not code. Ok, I understand that. They have protocols. They have to follow to cover themselves. I get that. They told us to have a plumber fix the issue and they will come back (in almost another week) to install it. To just Install it. No appliance on the truck to unload. Just 10min to install a dishwasher. I spoke with a plumber that was able to get out there THE SAME DAY and fix the problem. I had asked if he could just install it instead of having the delivery company come back and he told me that to have him do it would be a lot more expensive and that we were better off just having them come back to do it since we already paid the $20 for the installation. So we waited. FINALLY after almost 3 weeks the dishwasher was installed.
We should have learned our lesson after this, but we went with HD again after our old washing machine broke last week. I looked at several different appliance stores including Lowe's and some of the online only ones. The others were either 2 weeks out for delivery, charged shipping, or were more expensive. HD was a week for delivery. For some reason I didn't look at Best Buy until AFTER we ordered through HD because it is not the first place I think of when I think of appliances, and they're usually more expensive. I was disappointed we didn't, because they deliver 2 days out from time of order (in our area, anyway. Apparently there's a warehouse close by). They also deliver on Saturdays, and the washer is actually the same price through them. If we had ordered through them we would have had the washer 2 days later.
But whatever. We already ordered it. So we'll give HD one more chance. I told my boyfriend that if they screwed it up this time we were done. That we were canceling it and ordering from Best Buy. So, washer was scheduled to be delivered Thursday (yesterday; at the time of writing. For context.) Got the call Wednesday confirming delivery. My boyfriend took work off for Thursday to accept delivery. So Thursday morning he gets a call at 10am stating that the driver had an emergency and they were cancelling our delivery and rescheduling it for Monday. Which means for the second week in a row we have to go to the laundromat to do our laundry because we don't have any clean clothes for the following work week.
Don't get me wrong, I have a heart. I hope the driver is ok of course. But to cancel deliveries that people have waited most likely over a week for and taken off work for? No. You put those deliveries on another truck and another driver just has to work a little bit later that day. That is what any other company would do. This was the last straw. I got on the Best Buy website, went through the ordering prompts, and they had openings for Saturday for delivery. Same price we paid at Home Depot for the washer, installation, haul away, everything. We called Home Depot, cancelled our order, and ordered through Best Buy.
Never again will we order another appliance through Home Depot. We will still shop at their stores. But as far as anythin#g not carried in store, especially anything big and expensive that has to be delivered. Never again. Home Depot: these contractors you are hiring are bringing your name and company down. The proof is in the reviews. PLEASE make a change.

I bought new appliances from Home Depot. The staff in the Department was wonderful. The calamity with the delivery was absurd. I was called by the delivery people on March 30 to tell me that my microwave arrived damaged and they would not deliver it. They said they could not get another until April 10. The remaining appliances were delivered by rude delivery men. After my dishwasher was connected it was found to be not working. I called Home Depot and they were going to get another but, I had to wait until the 10th. Apparently there is no stock of any appliances in FL. They all have to be shipped from the abyss at a glacial pace.
Now we are at the 10th and no appliances yet. I am told by the store that they have not arrived. Then l was told they are in the warehouse but can’t be delivered until hell freezes over. Next, I am told they are not even in the area. Nobody knows what is going on and communication with me is not happening. Finally, I insist that the nonworking dishwasher be picked up so that my new counters can be installed and the old countertop can be removed without damaging the dishwasher. It took 3 days for Home Depot to figure out how to pick it up.
Meanwhile, Home Depot is telling me I cannot possibly have my appliances until the April 23. The delivery people keep changing the appointment day to the one day of the week that I am always gone even after I tell them 4 times. Finally, they change the delivery day to another day but, nobody tells me. After a few times I started getting angry. The end of the story, Home Depot refunded my money for the dishwasher and will give me the dishwasher with installation. The delivery people have to deliver them to the store and the manager will bring them to my home. This entire goat rope will never happen again. I will buy from Home Depot but not appliances. They need to learn to properly communicate with customers and they absolutely need to change delivery companies.

They told us to find our own service people!!! Which we did within 5 mins using the computer. To make a long frustrating story shorter.... it was fixed 4 weeks after reporting it. That is 4 weeks without a fridge or freezer!!!! Shame on Home Depot for using such a terrible service company that are unprofessional and don't know what customer service is!! I own a property management company and own 28 apartments. I order appliances often. I recently ordered a dishwasher from Home Depot on 4/7/19. I noticed the address on the order was wrong and for some reason the delivery zip code defaulted to the zip code on my Home Depot account. I called Home Depot delivery at 1-800-455-3869 and was told to call GE delivery service (wrong info as usual). I called GE delivery and I was told they would make the correction and no problem on the delivery. The delivery never came. I called GE back and I was informed that I need to call Home Depot. Round and round we go. I called Home Depot home delivery and they told me they would iron out the zip code on the delivery, reschedule for another day and call me back by end of business day on 4/12/19. Nothing happened and I never heard a word.
I called Home Depot delivery again and I was informed that I have to call GE delivery on Monday 4/14/19 to finally rectify getting the dishwasher to the correct address. (another lie) I finally escalated it with a huge battle and found out that the original order needed to be cancelled by a Home Depot rep and another dishwasher would have to be ordered. The whole process would have to be started all over again. Representatives who work for Home Depot home delivery are clueless and there is major training issues and customer service problems with Home Depot Home delivery. They have no idea what they are doing nor do they care about customers and quality customer service. There is no One Call Resolution. They are horrendous and will now lose me as a customer. When I called Home Depot they said they had no control as they use a 3rd party delivery service. 2 hours of on hold later I finally convince the delivery to return 3/26. 2. 3/26 they show up, remove all old appliances; install dishwasher and range and microwave, tell me the fridge will not fit and basically leave me with no fridge. 3. I notice microwave is damaged (it looks like they dropped it) while I am cleaning up all the drilling mess they left... Several trips to Home Depot later Home Depot sells me a new Whirlpool fridge and schedules my replacement microwave for 4/1.
4. 4/1 they arrive with the fridge but alas, no microwave. 5. Several hours on hold, they agree to come out with replacement microwave, which they damaged, 4/4. 6. 4/9 no show again, they claimed again I was not home as I am sitting on my couch calling them. 2 more hours on phone with Samsung and Home Depot. I called Home Depot and they tell me that if it is past 48 hours of installation, they can't do anything and I must call the manufacturer. First, I never had an appliance break in 3 days and I wasn't aware of the 48 hours. When I called the manufacturer, they were sorry for Home Depot and was able to quickly arrange someone to come out. I must give Whirlpool a thumbs up for that. The rep at Whirlpool told me that Home Depot is the only company who has this 48 hour policy. Lowe's has a 30 days policy in such situation.
There is always a risk of getting a lemon. Therefore, I will never purchase any appliance from Home Depot with their stupid 48 hour rule. Go to Lowe's and buy the same thing and get it installed and if anything happens, you will at least have 30 days... NOT 2 days. Home Depot's policy is designed so 99.9% of the people who get it installed can't return a broken appliance.

Also, she was not aware to check the door did not swing open to right which they should have completed. Home Depot delivery options is a broken system. We ordered a brand new Electrolux washer and dryer a month ago through the store. The delivery was set to take place a week and half later. Upon delivery, we found the washer with a dent on it and refused delivery. The driver mentioned to call Electrolux and schedule for a different set of the same model. He also mentioned they can deliver late until 8pm. We called and found out the delivery for Electrolux was another week and a half out and the earliest would be on a weekday. The scheduler had also mentioned that she will put in a request for delivery to take place at later time around 6-8pm window.
Yesterday I receive a call and expecting to receive my deliveries from 11am-1pm. I immediately call them to tell them that I will need it at a later date. She insisted the schedule can’t be changed. I asked what is the latest they can deliver and she placed me on a hold as she tried to contact the delivery team. She came back to the call and notified me the delivery department is closed and to call back again in the morning. I called in the morning which was the day I was supposed to receive my washer and dryer on 11am-1pm window. I asked them if they can push my delivery back and they said they can’t. I said no one is home and I will need to change to date and the earliest would be same day next week. I explained that I am unable to be home to receive the equipment on weekdays and the best they could do was 2 weekends out.
I was upset at this point due to the lack of ownership Home Depot and it’s delivery services has taken to own up to the washer reschedule which was clearly Home Depot's and delivery's fault. No extra care was given to make things right. I will stay away from Home Depot after trying to get this situation resolved but they keep pointing at their system that there is nothing they can do about it. I spent 3 weeks waiting and now I’ll be another week before I get a refund then will be going back shopping again. Thanks for the waste of time Home Depot and the huge amount of stress you put me through. Systems don’t make your business, customers do. Take ownership of your faults. I am seeing a lot of issues with your deliveries now that I am writing reviews. Do something about it. With the amount of time I wasted with Home Depot, I would’ve saved money and had a washer/dryer already.

I would like to alert consumers of Home Depot that the 0% deferred interest is a scam. I purchased a washing machine for under $1000 in 2016. I have been paying $27 per month and was at 0% interest for 18 months. They placed me on automatic debit and I was not receiving statements. Years later, I was wondering why $27 was continuing to be deducted from my checking account. I called the customer service line of the credit card and was told that I currently owe over $1000 on the card. I immediately paid it. I spoke with Citibank just now and they were not able to help with the situation. I will not be shopping at Home Depot any longer and I am not surprised that they have such poor reviews. They will probably be going out of business soon.

Don't waste your money on the warranty and I will tell you why. We bought an extended warranty through Home Depot because we have had issues with new appliances in the past. We got the warranty for our GE dishwasher and as we expected the dishwasher broke about 7 months into ownership. Here we go, this gets WILD SO READ ON.
I called the warranty department and spoke with a lady about my issue, she asked the normal things (name, address, model number, serial number etc). After giving her the info she says "Oh it looks like you canceled your extended warranty," and with our my copy she can't go any further. I said "I most ABSOLUTELY did not cancel it, and I still have my warranty paperwork to prove it." (Make sure you keep your warranty paperwork.) I'm sure she was hoping I didn't have it.
Their shady tactic #1. Once I give her this mysterious warranty number she says "Oh yes. I see it now, let me transfer you to a technician. Hold please." I'm thinking, "Ok. Cool. We are getting somewhere." WRONG.
Shady tactic #2. This is where it gets wild. After being on hold for about a minute THE SAME LADY picks up the phone and says "Warranty technician. How may I help you." I said "I just talked to you, you said you would put me on hold for a technician." She says "We never spoke before." I said, "Are you kidding me, I have been talking to you for the last 10 minutes, you ARE the same person. I can even hear the same background noise." (People talking in the background in heavy middle Eastern accents.) She said "Hi. This is tech support." I said, "Ok I'll play your game even though we just spoke." So I explained what's wrong with the machine. I told her it's not draining water after its cycle. She had me do the old turn off the breaker and turn it back on routine. I did it and it fixed nothing.
Shady tactic #3. She said, "Ok send a picture of your warranty paperwork along with the receipt." I said, "You all already have it in your system, you even told me that after I gave you the warranty info..." Then she says ""Oooh thats right." I quickly said, "See I told you. We just spoke"!!! She then tried to change her voice to sound like a man IN MID SENTENCE, and said, "That wasn't me". My mind was blown at this point. I said "Look I just need this fixed, you have all my info. Let's get it done". She said, "Ok. The tech will call to set up the appointment." That was weeks ago... I have called 3 times since then and each time they say "It's in the investigation department." My guess is they plan on keeping it there, so they will just hear from me daily and be on a 1st name basis.

I had an appt for W/D installation. It took 3 trips before it was installed. The techs they sent out would find reasons why they could not do the installation. When they arrived it was an adult tech and maybe a kid in high school. He stated he is not taking his shoes off and that I could reschedule. They both spoke very little English. Mind you it was raining that day.
The install was done and the younger tech took one of my storage bags to use for debris. This was a large see through with handles without asking. They called and said they had to cancel delivery today, but that we would be first on the list tomorrow. We called back, and they have no record of our scheduled delivery. They rescheduled us to Friday, but no specifications were given. One person said they sent a confirmation email, but another person said they don't even use email. The delivery company was very rude and gave zero effort to try to fix the problem. Now we are having to take another day off of work to hopefully receive our washing machine.

I purchased a washer from Home Depot. Was told it would be delivered the next week. The delivery date came & was told it was too cold to deliver. Rescheduled following week. Delivered, did not install, valve corroded. We were told to fix. We did rescheduled again for next week. Got it closer, but still not installed. Told the drain was too far away. We have lived here 38 gi rd had 3 washers. No one ever had a problem before. So washer sits mid floor, not installed, not balanced, not hooked up. Had it for a month. If you want a washer installed do not buy from Home Depot.

It’s a very very long story but I will try and summarise. 4 appliances purchased. 2 were faulty. A range with 5 separate scratches and a faulty seal around the hob. A fridge with one distorted door and the other door with scratches. Arrangements were made to replace fridge doors. On the service day we were called to say the doors had not even been ordered. No apologies or anything. We are only part time in Florida so we called to arrange both products to be replaced on the same day when we returned. They messed up and Maytag dispatched the fridge immediately and now we are being told unless we accept delivery now the fridge will be returned and we cannot have another.
Bit difficult to accept delivery from a different country. We wrote to the CEO thinking this could be fixed but apparently this is well beyond their capabilities so we are left with a defective product. The mistakes were all theirs but they don’t give a damn. NEVER BUY APPLIANCES HERE - just about anywhere else would be a much better option. They rip you off.

Ordered a washer via Home Depot order ** on 1/15. Had to refuse delivery on 1/19 due to dent inside drum, grinding noise, and exterior dents. Reordered. Replacement arrived 1/26. Again had to refuse delivery due to dents in front that had been made from INSIDE the front cabinet. Now awaiting the NEXT replacement. Am seriously questioning my decision to purchase an LG if this is an example of your quality control.
Update - the third replacement was supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Since I did not get a call from the delivery service this evening to tell me the time frame of the delivery I called them - and they told me they do not have the washer yet. So I was going to sit at home and wait for a delivery that would not occur - I would have expected a phone call to cancel and reschedule. So I went to Home Depot - and they can tell me nothing. I am really questioning whether I should cancel this purchase with Home Depot and LG and find another distributor and brand.

After having the Samsung washer we purchased from Home Depot delivered, it began to leak during the second time we used it. We called Home Depot and they stated that we would have to contact Samsung. We have been playing this game since November with no solutions. Samsung is willing to reimburse us if we will remove the serial number label and cut the power cord to the washer. The reimbursement will then arrive 21 to 30 days later leaving us with no washer for a month. Home Depot is will to exchange if I can deliver it back to them. Part of the reason I bought from them was to have it delivered and the other one removed which I paid for as well. Home Depot has poor customer service. They basically washed their hands of the situation once the washer was delivered.

I wasn't planning on replacing my dishwasher after I just purchased it from Home Depot 4 years ago, but the manufacturer wouldn't acknowledge the identical part from multiple recalled models. Home Depot (delivery services) did my last installation and it was smooth and easy. This review may be pre-mature, as I have yet to get my dishwasher installed. The "Home Depot Delivery Services" have been to my house 4 times now. Each person who visited has stated a different problem that would prevent them from installing.
How hard is it to do an inspection and tell me everything the installer needs before coming back? Why would it not be helpful for Home Depot associates who sell delivery services to point out what needs to be in place, especially if anything has recently changed? Escalating this did absolutely nothing but irritate me, as the supervisor repeats endlessly that they are not Home Depot and any additional accessory need is my problem and my expense. Great lineup of different brands, but pass on the installation offers.

I ordered a washing machine online. The machine failed to arrive. After 10 days of calls to customer support persons, the supplier and the local delivery agent, it appeared no one knew where my machine was. After 3 weeks, I received a mail notice confirming my order, then saying they were refunding my money. Being confused, I spoke to a contact at Home Depot main office in Toronto and was told my order was now cancelled but they had no idea why or by whom.
A week later I received a refund. During my search, Home Depot blamed the supplier, the supplier claimed to have shipped it and the local delivery agent claimed not to have received it. It was only the local delivery agent, after I went to their warehouse, provided assistance and finally found a trail leading to the missing machine. They contacted the carrier, who said they delivered it to another company for delivery. All of this took 4 weeks from when I placed the order plus many hours of my time and energy and I still have no washing machine. I would not trust this company with my business again.

Recently, I purchased a microwave from Home Depot in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Within a few days, I realized I had purchase the incorrect type. I returned to the store and cancelled the purchase. The Store representative assured me that my refund would take twenty-four to forty-eight hours, which didn't happen. After numerous calls to the store and speaking to the store manager, who was of no assistance, I contacted my bank regarding the issue. With the help of my bank, it took over a month to recover the funds. So Think twice before doing business with this store of purchasing large items. For me, Lesson learned. In the future, I will not purchase anything from Home Depot or allow a contractor working for me to purchase a paper clip from this store.

So my machine came and the guys installed it. New hoses and everything. When he was done he told me not to start it right away because it was so cold out and there might be water in it that might be frozen, I'm not sure why it's a brand new machine??? So I had to go to work and my girlfriend came home about 4 hours later and started it and the water just started pouring out the back come to find out the hook up for the hot water was broken off and loose on the inside so the water was not going into the machine just pouring out the back. I guess I know why I wasn't supposed to start it. So fast forward a week and a new machine is supposed to be delivered. The SAME guys so show up with NO MACHINE. Just to check and make sure it's broken and yes you guessed it, it's broken.
Then the guy asks me if I started it right away like that's why it's broken because he wouldn't have been able to connect it while it was broken like that. I'm almost positive he snapped it by overtightening the hose and just didn't say anything and that's why he told me not to start it. But hey he gets paid to come out 2 more times. I told him my girlfriend started it like 4 hours later so there's pretty much only one way it broke. So they told me I'll get a call in a few days and schedule another appointment to deliver the replacement. So all I can say is don't sign unless you test it.

I purchased a $2,000 Samsung washer and dryer set online from Home Depot. After 2 weeks they finally delivered the machines but shortly after the delivery guys left we realized the dryer wasn't heating. Fast forward 5 weeks - we have been passed around a circle of Home Depot, Samsung, scheduling contractors, delivery contractors, servicing contractors...on and on. The two service contractors that came out said they couldn't do anything because the installation team broke a bolt off into the dryer and created a fire hazard. We tried to schedule delivery of a replacement machine and were told the earliest they could get it to us was 10 more days, now bringing us to a nearly 1 month total since our old equipment was hauled off (so no dryer for a month).
Finally fed up we cancelled the replacement order and bought a new machine from JCPenney (for $200 less BTW). The Home Depot machine was scheduled to be hauled off the day before the JCPenney delivery. But - you guessed it - the haul off crew never showed up and when we called Home Depot they said they have no record of that service appointment even though I got an automated call the day before to confirm appointment time. 5 weeks later we still have the broken machine, can't get our money back, can't get it hauled off. The single worst customer service experience of my life. DO NOT SHOP HOME DEPOT APPLIANCES ONLINE.

Since no one called me, (as was promised by the delivery driver), I contacted Home Depot to check on the order status.
I was told that the order was canceled (based on the false info provided by the delivery person?) and I will need to start the order process all over again. Why is Home Depot not assuming responsibility for attempting to fill my order with a damaged machine and delivering the washer I ordered in perfect condition? They are requiring me to start all over again because of their failure.

Purchasing through Home Depot was the absolute worst shopping experience I have ever had. It took them 2 months to deliver half of my purchase and it only happened because I called and complained about the delivery date change. When the fridge and stove finally came, the delivery company did not have the installation kit we paid for. The delivery company refused to send the kit and to let us come pick it up. The delivery team used a kit from another customer to install it for us, thankfully. The dispatcher told them to "just leave and let them be angry". She was on speaker, so we heard it.
Today, the microwave was delivered. It's raining and I asked the 2 delivery guys to remove their shoes. They told me they were not allowed to. They also refused to install the microwave because the 1" of backsplash would be behind it. As I write this, I am on the phone with Home Depot, 15 minutes and counting, trying to receive a refund for the microwave not installed. The delivery company chosen by Home Depot is extremely unprofessional. Both parties are to blame and we will never make another purchase there again.

The delivery company they contract with were on their FOURTH attempt to get these products to us (first time the driver wouldn't get out of the truck because he didn't want to get his shoes dirty, the second attempt they were going to be so late that our builder had to allow his crew to leave after waiting all day before they could get there and the third attempt, the truck broke down).
On the FOURTH delivery attempt, I was so fed up that I canceled the order altogether in favor of a local appliance center. NINE DAYS after the cancellation, I still have not received my refund when they had promised it within 5-7 days, and in fact, got a random call from the delivery company stating that they were attempting another delivery! Home Depot never even bothered to notify the delivery company that the order had been canceled! This ended up in delaying my refund for another 72 hours when they had had my money now for nearly TWO MONTHS without me having received a thing! I would NEVER recommend using Home Depot for purchasing appliances to anyone!!!

When I got it home I was having trouble with the door staying closed so the Home Depot guy again told me that if I bought the extended warranty everything will be covered for 5 years. This was only about the first month so they set it up. LG came out and then LG said it's not an LG warranty problem. It's an extended warranty issue. Call home Depot back and of course they have wording somewhere in their contract that they don't have to cover that. That is LG's problem. So basically you're stuck in the middle. When dishwasher was mounted only one side bracket was used. Old dishwasher was mounted with fasteners under granite counter on top and flush mounted. This one stuck out 3 inches. I am sharing our horrible experience about the appliance delivery company that is used by The Waterford, CT store. As a brief synopsis this is what occurred: On November 30, 2019 we purchased a stove and refrigerator from the store. We scheduled delivery on for Saturday, January 5th. On Friday January 4th, the delivery company notified us that truck broke down and delivery couldn’t occur on Saturday. January 5th. Delivery company offered us Tuesday, January 8th or Saturday, January 12th from 8am–11am. We chose Saturday.
On Friday January 11th, delivery company called and said that they could not deliver until 4-8pm on the 12th. We took this time as the delivery company was not flexible and we needed a fridge since our old one was disposed of. What complicated matters, was the fact that we were scheduled to leave on a flight to bring our daughter back to college that evening. However we moved the flight to the following day, as we needed the fridge.
On the afternoon of Saturday, January 12th. My wife called Home Depot to explain how upset we were about this. At this time the Assistant Store Manager looked into the system and explained to us that the delivery company was not going to deliver today because they could not locate our refrigerator! They also noted in the system that they called us to inform us that a delivery would not occur. This is an outright lie! Now at this time, after spending over $4,000 at Home Depot, canceling and rebooking a flight to wait for delivery that never occurred, we are still without our appliances. We are so disgusted and angry about our purchase at Home Depot!

We purchased a GE Dishwasher from our local Home Depot. We then were told that they will install and remove the old dishwasher. We paid extra for this service of installation, along with an extended warranty. Upon the day that it was to be installed, the two men came in a large truck that was not marked with Home Depot on it. We found out why. They told us that they will NOT disconnect, nor could we. Also, we stated that we would shut off the water fully to the house. They said that COULD NOT be done.
We told them we are the homeowners and we could do that. They stated It had to be done at the connection for the dishwasher. We then asked about disconnecting the hoses and reconnecting them. Again we were told they would not do that. They said that they would talk to their person, and we then were given the phone. That women on the phone stated that everything had to be done before they got there. They would not do any disconnecting or reconnecting.
The two men were only interested in talking between each other in Spanish. That to us is very rude as we do not understand what they were saying. The one thing we did understand one of the men was more interested on was one of the females. It was then told to us that they are only WAREHOUSE men. NOT INSTALLERS. And that we could hire a handyman to do the removal and install. I told him that handymen are NOT licensed in this state. We said that the unit will need to go back. We called Home Depot and told them about the problems. The female from Home Depot told me to come in in about three or four days to get the refund. And my husband thought that it would be automatic since it went on our credit card that they have the paperwork for the purchase.
We were expecting a plumber or electrician since we were paying for an installation of the new dishwasher and removal of the old one. Especially, since Home Depot has people to do these things on their list. So, beware of Home Depot and their use of warehousemen that only deliver and not install. Even after paying a hefty price for the install. We had originally thought that we would also hire Home Depot personnel to take care of our interior doors and tile work that we needed to have done. After this fiasco, no way. We will NOT hire Home Depot to do anything for us.

A new delivery date was scheduled for 12/28. On 12/27 we received a call from the delivery service confirming delivery for Friday 12/28. No delivery was made and we received no call that they would not be there.
We called the store and they apologized and assured us that delivery would be made on 12/31 in the morning. I purchased a brand set of LG washer/dryer from Home Depot in June 2018. We just moved to a new house & we are a family of 5. Paid $2,500+ for the pair. First issue, the woman who completed our order didn’t know what she was doing & failed to tell us the washer/dryer were on backorder & informed us delivery will be by end of June. After waiting 2 weeks & thinking our items were being delivered by end of June we then received an email that our item will arrive in 6 wks! Um, NO! We went to the store to complain. Store manager was unhelpful. We ordered another set that was in stock & had to wait another 10 days for that set to arrive. By this time, we had already gone 5 weeks without doing laundry. Second issue, installers arrive & install product. No issues that I was aware of.
Several weeks later, we notice lint collecting along the baseboards behind the dryer. We weren’t sure why but just cleaned it & didn’t think much about it. Our previous house was really dusty so we just figured this house was too. Several more weeks go by & we notice a lot more lint. We started to question the install & research online & found out discovered we probably had something not connected properly. Unfortunately, this was right before the holidays & we had family visiting for 4 weeks so we put off on making the call to Home Depot until the family left.
Issue 3, when we finally did call Home Depot refused to honor the shotty install saying their install contractors only guarantee their work for 30 days. Honestly, it took a lot longer for us to notice the build up of lint in only 30 days!! They were unsympathetic & not helpful. Saying we need to call a separate contractors to have it remedied as there was nothing they could do. This meant we would have to pay out of pocket to fix their issue. Issue 4: a licensed contractor came out & told us none of the dryer hoses were even connected, attached or screwed on!!! They were just placed in their locations & literally fell off when we moved the dryer. The back wall, our new machines were covered in about 1” of lint! My husband spent an hour scrubbing it all. The entire laundry room is covered in lint. Absolutely ridiculous!!!
Issue 5: the installers failed to give us the moving bolts to secure the drum of our front load washer. We now have to pay for those from a parts dealer. They also never leveled the machine so it rattled & shook violently from day 1 even on the low setting. This isn’t our first time having issues with Home Depot installers. Terrible customer service! If anything is remotely wrong with your install call them immediately.

The offered to sub appliances for available stock- took hours on the phone to figure out.
When the appliances finally arrived, turned out the dyer they subbed was incompatible washer and damaged the washer trying to set it up. They sent another dryer which was compatible, but failed to adjust door swing to match washer. When I called, I was told I was supposed to order it that way which is NOT even an option online. So, I spent hours on the phone getting passed around, given different information and dropped calls and 3 days waiting at the house for installers who obviously did not know what they were doing to complete this order.

Below is an email I sent to Customer Service. They NEVER addressed my complaint after multiple emails and phone calls. Will never shop there again. We purchased a Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot on 9/1/18 (order # **). On the evening before our delivery date, we received a call with a delivery window of 3 pm to 7 pm the next day. My husband made arrangements with work so he could be home. He was there for the entire time. Finally, at 7:25 while I was at an evening class, I got a call that they were 30 minutes out. I told him that they were outside of the window and no one was home. My husband had left the house to grab a late dinner.
Several days later, we were contacted with another delivery window. Again, my husband made arrangements with work to accommodate the delivery window. When they arrived the next day, the dishwasher was damaged. My husband was very displeased as he is in sales and was losing income for every moment he had to be home to accommodate the delivery/installation of the dishwasher. He was told that Maytag would be contacting him. He asked that Maytag call HIS number as I cannot be disturbed at work, and all scheduling would need to be according to his schedule. Apparently, that message was never relayed to the appropriate person because I was called.
When I spoke to the representative at Maytag, she stated that the dishwasher was on backorder, and we would have to wait another two weeks. She stated the delivery date would be on 10/11/18. I told her that date would not work as my husband would be out of town. I told her he would be available on 10/12/18. She said, "No problem. I will get that date set up for you". On 10/10/18, I received an automated delivery window for 10/11/18 on my voicemail. I immediately called the delivery company back and talked to a representative. I was obviously upset and told her that I needed a delivery date of 10/12/18 as that is what I told Maytag. She stated, in a rather unpleasant tone, that I could not have the date of 10/12/18. She told me that if I did not take the date of 10/11/18, then it would be another week or so before they could schedule me.
I told her to keep the date of 10/11/18. I had to get special permission from my boss to take a half day off work as they were not granting any vacation time that week due to a system upgrade. I am quite sure this will affect my work evaluation therefore affecting my annual raise. I also missed two important meetings. The dishwasher was successfully installed on 10/11/18.

The assistant who helped me was **. Delivery was to take place on December 21st which it did. Upon arrival the refrigerator did not fit as expected into the space (I purchased 28 cubic and it stuck out way too far). I send the refrigerator back and immediately contacted MR. ** to let him know that I would not be taking delivery of the refrigerator but would like to purchase the same refrigerator but at counter depth (22 cubic).
By now the price had gone up to $2699. I was told they would not honor the Black Friday price at this point. OK, I still wanted the refrigerator so would have to bite the bullet and pay the extra money. I inquired as to whether they did competitive pricing as Costco had the same fridge for $100 less and was told they did. MR. ** informed me that he would contact me as soon as the original purchase was returned to the warehouse and credited. He did so approximately 4 days later. I told him I was ready to purchase the refrigerator at the new price. He told me to hold off and he would contact me on Thursday (Jan 3) or Friday (Jan 4) as they would be having a sale and the price would be lower. I TRUSTED HIM! BIG MISTAKE!!!
I did not hear from MR. ** so I went online to check on the new price. Imagine my surprise when I saw that the refrigerator was now $3,299!!! I tried to contact him and he would not take my calls. I then called and spoke to a manager who told me "I DON'T KNOW WHY HE WOULD HAVE DONE THAT. HE SHOULDN'T HAVE. SO SORRY, THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT." I was livid!!! Since he didn't return my calls, I went into the store to face him. His response "miscalculation on my part" and proceeded to be very rude. In other words too darn bad.
I will never purchase another item from Home Depot (which I was previously frequently a few times a month at least). I would not purchase as much as a light bulb from these dishonorable people if it were the only place in the world that sold them!!! I WOULD RATHER BURN CANDLES AND COOK OVER AN SPIT IN THE BACKYARD!!!

I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A WASHER/DRYER FOR ELEVEN WEEKS. Our first call for service repair was placed on 10/31, a Wednesday; the product stopped working two days before. I have documented the dates for each visit and the number of parts replaced, a total of three parts replaced, each on separate visits. The washer/dryer unit has been used for 11 months before it stopped working. Asurion is scheduled to return for the eighth time to see if they can fix it. I paid in full for my product and my five-year warranty but do not have a product that works, for going on three months now. It seems to go against basic consumer law protection rights.
It feels dishonest and seems to be an illegal practice of classifying a visit as diagnostic vs service and reissuing new case numbers to get around the lemon law clause which states after three attempts to repair it will be replaced if not repaired. We have already had seven separate visits to our home - requiring 6 hours of time off from work for each visit. Asurion-Home Depot Warranty Service company has been to our home seven times out of nine scheduled appointments, we are on our fourth case number for the same product. Home Depot, San Carlos CA states that Asurion has only "serviced" our washer/dryer two times and diagnosed it three times. What are the missing two visits classified as that are not being accounted for? At this point, I do not want this product. I have requested a full refund for the product and for the warranty, twice now.

They refused to deliver it because there was an inch of sitting water at the bottom of the old washer and they said it will be too heavy to move it. I am 5 foot 3 inches, barely 120 pounds and I was able to move it just fine. These were two grown men. This was January 3rd. Home Depot's reply: "well we only contracted one delivery service in the Raleigh (NC) area so there's nothing we can do about it."
I replied, "What is the normal procedure for this company to compensate for five days of my life?" Five days of not being at work earning money. The reply: "$100 maybe $150 if we really push it." As any good business knows, you include the cost of labor and shipping into the price of your product. Can it be true that Home Depot only pays this crappy company $100 for each delivery? The delivery service failed to do their job and Home Depot failed to take responsibility for their actions (or lack thereof). I worked from home and paid a ton to a plumber to disconnect my old gas range. HOWEVER, they never delivered or even notified me. When I called, I was told it was still a week away! Had to pay a ton more to reconnect the old stove back in. WHAT A JOKE OF A DELIVERY SYSTEM!

Ordered a washing machine on 12/22 to be delivered today, 1/03/19. I got a robot call yesterday confirming delivery time 1-5. This morning a text showing delivery 2-6. I checked tracking and see 6 customers in front of me. I noticed that the address is listed as a state highway instead of Farm to Market Rd. I called the Home Delivery Support and spoke to Rosanna. She said I would be placed on hold for a moment. Seventeen minutes later she said she is having system problems. I tell her about the address. She placed me on hold again to contact delivery driver. Driver said he can't change delivery address. Rosanna stated that Home Depot is at fault. I called the person who sold me the washer. He blames Texas Department of Transportation for the address problem. He is supposed to contact delivery and get back with me. I have not heard anything in an hour now. I am going to get a refund and go purchase from Sears where I can pick it up today!

I placed an order for five appliances on 11/23/2018. One of the appliances was on backorder, so I opted to take delivery on 1/2/2019. I received notice that my delivery window was 1-5 pm and got all of my old appliances ready for haul away. I received a phone call at 2:15 pm letting me know that my delivery window was being pushed back to 4-6:30 pm because they were running behind. No problem. We waited and waited, no one showed up and I didn’t get a call. I figured no one was coming, which was aggravating since the delivery company’s office was closed and I would need to take another day off work, but I was shocked to see them finally pull up at 8:30 pm.
They spent 2 HOURS getting the fridge put together/brought in. Then, at 10:30 pm, they tell me that they gave me the WRONG FRIDGE and they need to remove it and start over. AT 10:30 PM! It was the correct model number but they had grabbed another customer’s box from the truck. So back outside it went. We asked if they could come back tomorrow since we were starting over from scratch now at 10:30 pm. We had toddlers sleeping, neighbors who have young kids, and we work early in the morning. We were told that was not an option, that since they were here we had to take delivery. Feeling like we had no choice, we continued on.
Finally, all of the new appliances were in our home and all of the old were in their truck at 11:45 pm. Mind you, they didn’t install anything even though they were supposed to. We mentioned it but they refused, saying that we could get a refund on installation. I know they were exhausted and wanted to get home. And frankly, I wanted them out of my house so I could go to bed. But now we have to install 5 appliances ourselves. The whole experience was a complete nightmare and I will NEVER EVER purchase another appliance from Home Depot again.

We purchased a new washing machine back in August. It was delivered on August 31. After the installers left, our basement was filled with several inches of water into three rooms. When trying to contact the delivery company who installed, they denied that they even installed it. We even had paperwork saying they checked for leaks before they left. They did not hook up the drain hose correctly. So when the rent cycle took place that is when the leak occurred after they left. It took over four months for them to finally take responsibility and pay for the water damage after many calls emails etc. I would never order another appliance from Home Depot that needs to be installed again. They should get rid of that delivery company.

The delivery process has been a nightmare. I was trying to arrange a delivery for a family with a baby and of course to keep milk and food a fridge is needed. I set for a call ahead. While in the restroom an unmarked number called. Left no VM. I called back and there was no name so I was unsure if it was the delivery company. I called again and left a VM for them to call as the home was vacant and I need to be there to let them in. I then called the 1800# to confirm if it was the delivery team.
After being on hold for 8 minutes my call was disconnected. Then I called back and was told it was not the delivery team. So I wait for my call as I live about 20 minutes away and wanted to meet them at the vacant home to accept the unit. I then get a call from an annoyed lady that the delivery team is at house waiting and have been for 15 minutes and they will not wait. Home Depot takes no responsibility for telling me it was not them. I then call to reschedule and am told January 2nd will be the new date. So the family that is moving in has to reschedule their move as they will be without a fridge. I did not get a call for the window. So I call this morning. I am then told delivery will be the 4th of Jan. I am livid as I just spoke with them and now was told an incorrect date. So this family again cannot move into the home.
When I ask for the recording of the call they refuse to give it to me. When I ask for them to add a truck for today or make an accommodation for the day they told me they refuse. They have no responsibility and they are not held accountable for their actions. Home Depot needs to step in and make changes or find a new delivery company. I was appalled at the lack of customer service and paying customers should not be treated this way. The employees do not seem to care about the lives they affect and something needs to change. Companies that run like this should not be in business.

One of the delivery guys was very rude, refused to take off shoes, did not install the washer (I installed it myself later - the Home Depot site should do a better job of notifying if installation is included or not). Also for some reason they insisted on taking my old rubber hose, they said that instead they are leaving the plastic one - I was not home at the moment, my wife was present, she did not know they were not supposed to take the old rubber hose and was disappointed by their rudeness so did not want to argue. I paid $20 for hauling away the old washer, so it should be up to me if I want keep the old how or not, right? Return my old hose!!!

I ordered a Whirlpool refrigerator on 11/24 and was set to be delivered on 12/20. It was delivered by two men who must be the nastiest people I’ve ever encountered. They called me ** in my own home because they didnt like how my refrigerator looked in my home. They said it in Spanish thinking I wouldnt understand what it meant. The second guy stunk up my house with the smell of vodka. Once I got them out of my house I thought that would be the end of the offensive inconveniences. The refrigerator never got cold, in fact, it was hot inside. Called Home Depot and they said the soonest they could send someone out was on CHRISTMAS EVE. I had family flying in for Christmas at my house- long story short we all spent a bunch of money to be eating out the whole time they were in town.
Repairman said that half the internal parts were missing. He would order and come back to fix it. It's now been about a week and I haven't heard anything. No refrigerator- no word- ruined the holidays- horrible experience. Oh, and when I called to make a note that this happened in their 48 hour window they said they logged it. Called back later and they me there is no note that this happened and they never sent anyone out. Then who came to my house on Christmas eve. It's blatant lying To keep the money and not have to spend more to deal with this situation. They say no returns on appliances but this is more like a large steel box taking up space. RIDICULOUS. I believe there's some sort of scam or fraud happening here.
Coincidence that everyone here has reviewed with 1 star. Some not even getting their appliance? Who else has had their claim seemingly erased from the system? I'm going to fight for a full refund. I’d be willing to bet there's a large wave of pissed customers coming to serve Home Depot with justice. Just curious from a legal perspective, at what point is theft, theft? Because this is certainly what it feels like and what it sounds like from others' experience too.

A visitor to my home pointed out that the freezer door was not installed correctly. I was just checking my account with Home Depot online and found that my new appliance would be delivered on 12/19/18 between 230 and 630 pm. I finally got a call from the truck driver at 914 pm saying the truck broke down. On 12/20/18 my account again said my refrigerator was on the truck and would be delivered between 230 and 630 pm again. On that day they never even called me.
On 12/21/18 I was called and Kim from Daryl's Flood Logistics said that she didn't know what happened to my delivery from the day before. So I asked if it would be delivered that day 12/21/18 and she said that the truck wasn't coming my direction that day and that it would probably be after Christmas when it would be rescheduled. Now tell me that you would think that was a good idea. I am retired disabled veteran that has spent over $75,000 at my local and online Home Depot in the last three years since I purchased my new home here in Lake City Fl. In the future if I can't carry it in my vehicle I will not purchase it from Home Depot. This has been a terrible experience for me and my family. We were given a shipment date of December 21, 2018. We patiently waited, called and confirmed the shipment date the day before and we were given a window of time of which to await delivery. The delivery never came. Not only did it not come, but they changed the delivery date and time twice on the day it was supposed to be delivered pushing it out further and further without ever contacting us.
The delivery company contacted by Home Depot, does not know where the dishwasher is and claim they never received it, the manufacturer claims they already delivered it to the company contracted to deliver to us through Home Depot. And we still have no idea where our dishwasher is and Home Depot claims their hands are tied. We are so disappointed with all three of these companies. So, I paid another month at my rental and wasted delivery. After waiting the month, I moved into the home I bought the day before. I purchased a Samsung electric range (NE59J7850WS) and Samsung microwave (ME18H704SFS). The delivery was free and the installation cost was $122 ($22 for the range plug and $100 for the microwave). The appliances arrived on time 4 days later. The range was installed quickly but the microwave had issues. What follows is the series of events that made the entire installation a nightmare.
The installers attached the new range plug and mounted the anti-tip bracket to the wall. They attached the microwave rear mount to the wall and drilled holes in the upper cabinet to accept the mounting bolts. When attempting to screw the bolts into the microwave they realized the holes were in the wrong position, so they re-drilled them making the holes slightly larger. They somehow stripped the bolts when they attempted to hang the microwave and gave up. They pushed the range into place and left the microwave on the floor for Samsung to resolve.
Samsung was called to have a repairman come out with replacement bolts and nuts. One week later the Samsung repairman arrived and attempted to use the new bolts on the existing embedded nuts and they did not fit. It appeared to him that the embedded nuts may have been damaged so he dismantled the microwave and replaced one nut and the new bolts fit perfectly. Unfortunately, he only had one new nut since they were back ordered for possibly another two or three days. The microwave was not installed.
I figured I could go to a hardware store and find a nut to jury rig a solution. I took the old nut the repairman had replaced and a new bolt with me to explain the issue since the bolt would not screw into the possibly damaged nut. The hardware store told me that the nut and bolt were different sizes; one was metric and the other imperial! Yes, the Samsung embedded nuts and the Samsung supplied mounting bolts were different sizes! In lieu of trying to jury-rig a nut which was unique, they sold me bolts which fit the existing nuts perfectly. The head of the bolt was smaller than the ones provided by Samsung so they sold me a washer to matched the diameter of the head of the Samsung bolt.
I returned home and removed the new nut and replaced it with the old one and attempted to mount the microwave. I moved the range out of the way to make room to for me to mount the microwave. The head of the bolts fell right through the holes drilled by the installers! Yes, the installers drilled holes which were too large for the Samsung bolts AND they were still in the wrong place! I went back to the hardware store and bought larger washers to deal with the large holes. I re-re-drilled the holes in the correct location and finally mounted the microwave!
I pushed back the range and realized that it wasn’t sliding back all the way. The installers mounted the anti-tip bracket in the wrong location which was engaging the foot of the range. I re-installed the anti-tip bracket correctly and was able to slide the range into place. Done? NO! We noticed when we used the range that all the liquid/oil in the pan was gathering in the front. The range was never leveled!!!
Summary: Samsung’s microwave had different sized mounting bolts and nuts. Home Depot’s installers installed the anti-tip bracket incorrectly. Home Depot’s installers drilled too large hole in my upper cabinets. Home Depot’s installers never leveled the range. Lessons Learned: Confirm Samsung’s mounting hardware matches. Don’t use Home Depot installation.

Zero stars should be an option when it comes to buying appliances from the Home Depot. I don't have time to write the novel it would take to describe the last 13 days since the delivery crew left the washer and dryer I ordered in the middle of my living room. Apparently they failed to bring a piece of the stacking kit such that installation could not be completed. I have spend over four hours in the past week (including hold time) with Home Depot, Samsung, and the contract delivery company. They were finally supposed to come back out today with the missing part, and they did, but said that installation was no longer in the work order.

I am a contractor/landlord. I WAS one of Home Depot's top customers purchasing over 150,000.00 worth of materials, appliances, etc. each year. After EXTREME problems with delivery of appliances, I have decided to go to Lowe's. I own several properties throughout Atlanta and have purchased appliances such as Samsung, LG, and GE at Home Depot especially the Sandy Springs (don't purchase at this location).
Every time I have purchased an appliance and had their delivery (LOL) company deliver... There are ALWAYS issues. Either they don't call, don't show up as promised or the appliance is damaged. For example, (I have verified documentation) on 11/18/2018 I purchased an entire appliance suite to be delivered on 12/2/2018. They called the night before and said they would deliver between 11-3. I waited and never got a call until 4:00 that afternoon stating the truck broke down and could not deliver for 1 WEEK. I LOST two tenants because they had NO appliances.
I called the store manager and his two co-managers at SANDY SPRINGS. I finally had to call the area manager Gary because I could not get any timely response. I talked to two co-managers and they said they would call me back on the 4th of December. Never got a call - then called Ben the manager then located the area manager. I also called the corporate number and got more information from them. I actually talked to someone who gave me facts - not the runaround. He said the products would not be delivered until the 8th of December. I called the area manager Gary to verify I would receive my products (that I have paid for by the way). He had Skip the co-manager call me 12/07/2018 and he said I would receive my products between 11-3 on 12/8/2018. Guess what? I called escalation at 3:45 p.m after not hearing a peep. I was told they were running behind. I was 13... They were on the 2nd stop.
I called Gary the area manager to no avail then the co-manager (Sandy Springs) called and said he talked to the delivery company and my products had been delivered. WHAT??? I JUST GOT THE PHONE WITH CORPORATE AND THEY TOLD A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STORY. I asked Skip to call me back and give me a status. Of course no returned call. I also failed to mention I paid for a dishwasher delivery on 12/04/2018. They called the night before and said the delivery would be 7:45 -11:45 on 12/04/2018. I never heard from them. I spent several hours on the phone to try to get a time and date. Bottom Line...DO NOT EVER BUY ANY APPLIANCE FROM HOME DEPOT. They scheduled our dishwasher for delivery on Thursday 29 November. It arrived Wednesday 5 December. There was so much hassle getting this accomplished I could write a novel. The delivery drivers showed up with no dishwasher. The warehouse “lost” it until Monday. It didn’t make the second truck on Tuesday as promised. At no time was I spoken to with a civil tone or given any help by Flood, the shipping service employed by GE/Home Depot. GE couldn’t access any shipping information and Home Depot was basically powerless in the situation. Flood repeatedly lied about contacting me. They never called once. Too much to say but it was horrific. Never again.

Ordered $5000 worth of appliances on 11/6/18 for our new home. We waited until then to get the sale prices and scheduled delivery for 11/30 which I believed was plenty of time. The delivery date was changed without notice to us to 12/12/18, which I was OK with as this was the latest date I could accept. Received a call yesterday 12/7 from Samsung Appliance delivery stating that they had changed it AGAIN to 12/26! We need to move in before Christmas and now can't because we have no appliances - STAY AWAY FROM HOME DEPOT APPLIANCES! Not even confident I get them then...

Purchased refrigerator, range, microwave, and dishwasher from the store in Superior Colorado on 11/11/2018. Set free delivery at that time for 11/30. On the delivery date I waited until mid-afternoon and after no delivery and no one called, I contacted the store and was told that delivery had been changed to 12/19. Besides missing a day of work, I had emptied and disconnected the appliances in anticipation of the new appliances. I don't know why the delivery was postponed, but notifying me of the date change was the least Home Depot could have done.

I ordered 3 appliances from HD store. Person was great. Delivery was horrible. They scheduled the delivery between 8-12 so I had my contractor here to remove the current dishwasher, microwave and stove. By 11 with no call, he left. Three more calls, three more missed time, and they arrived at 3 in an open pickup truck in the rain, appliances wet. There was also a second driver with a Honda Civic, turns out he had the dishwasher in the back of his car. They insisted they were special services, had no responsibility to be on time, and I should be grateful they brought the appliances on the right day. They also refused to take the old appliances away even though all of the paperwork confirmed I paid for removal.
We finally sorted it out, they took the old appliances and left around 4. What a long frustrating terrible experience!

Finally got Home Depot representative. Told me shipping company called, never came to house because no one answered. Driver lied, said he came to house. Horrible service from Home Depot. Would not recommend anyone buy appliances there. Still do not have stove or any satisfaction.

Our refrigerator died the Saturday before Thanksgiving. We went to Home Depot the next day and purchased a Samsung refrigerator/freezer. The refrigerator was delivered the next Friday but when it arrived it had a dent on the front and one on the side so we did not accept it. The next available delivery date was not until the next Wednesday, Nov. 28th. The delivery company (JBC Deliveries) was supposed to call my cell 30 minutes before arriving at our home. I had called the day before to make sure they had my cell phone but apparently they added it to the wrong order. They called our home phone but no one was home. They finally did call my cell phone to let me know they would wait 7 minutes for me to get home.
I rushed out of work and made it home before they left. There were three delivery men who unloaded the refrigerator off the truck and put it on a hand truck. Once it was on the hand truck it proceeded to fall off onto the street and rolled. When I said I did not want to accept it the men seemed surprised and angry. After work my husband and I went to Home Depot to see how soon we could have another delivery. After spending over an hour with one of the store managers we were told the next available delivery date would be Wednesday, Dec. 5th. That means we'll be without a fridge for almost 3 weeks.
Apparently the 3rd party delivery companies dictate when and how soon deliveries can be made and Home Depot was not willing to go the second mile to make other arrangements to help us get a fridge sooner. According to the manager who we worked with they've had numerous complaints about the delivery company and have been wanting to sever the relationship. Apparently the store is not able to do this because it has to be taken care of at the corporate level. We have shopped at Home Depot for years and appreciate their support of veterans but will be taking our business elsewhere after this incident.

Let's get this out of the way. LG makes a lousy refrigerator. Home Depot sells them. Our refrig broke down after only one year. Of course the factory warranty had expired and thank God we purchased the extended warranty. For $250, it covers the fridge for 5 years, and we needed it. Two compressors later the thing sounded like a washer and the local appliance repair center which serviced the warranty had refused to work on it any longer. They said LG has been stiffing the repair shops and not paying their invoices so they will no longer service LG appliances. Just great. Home Depot went to bat for us. They sent over a small "dorm" size fridge to hold us over. They were constantly in touch with LG, the warranty company Asurion, and their home office in Atlanta. We got two food reimbursement checks totaling over $800.
Eventually, they persuaded Asurion (with our help in the form of constant phone calls to their supervisory personnel) to reimburse us the full amount we paid for this cruddy fridge. No strings attached either so we can run it till it drops, which by the sound it's making could be any day now, or go buy a new one. It won't be an LG by the way. So most of the reviews on this site deal with gripes and problems and I just wanted to give a positive review of Home Depot, for without the extended warranty and their help, we would be out to the tune of well over $3000. Buy their appliances but be SURE to buy that warranty!!

So, on Nov 17th I purchased a refrigerator from my local Home Depot. I had to wait almost a full week for an open delivery date and then rearrange my schedule to fit that. I never received the call about the time window for the delivery the day before and had to call them myself for a time window. Then, they never show in that time frame. When called, they inform us that they are running behind and expect delivery at 5:30, the window was 12:30 to 4:30. They still never show. When called back, after being put on hold for over twenty minutes, we are informed that they can't make delivery due to a truck breaking down and that I need to call back to reschedule.
This is where FSALogistixs, the delivery company, is at fault. Number one, you should be reaching out to your customers when you fail to make a delivery that was agreed upon. A failed delivery should be automatically put out the next day, I shouldn't have to call and rearrange a delivery that the company missed. If a truck broke down, a company that respects its customers would have found a way to make those deliveries with another truck. Instead, I'm told that I now have to wait until Tuesday, because that is the earliest time they can fit me in. FSA manager this morning, Eric, believes that this is acceptable and timely customer service.
Calling the local store was a bit more help, though I was put on hold for forty minutes and had to call back. However, they were still unable to get me an earlier delivery date, so now I have to rearrange my schedule again, miss more work, and wait around for a delivery company that shouldn't even call itself a delivery company. The store offered me $100 dollar discount on the order, which barely is going to cover missed wages at work and doesn't even take into time wasted on my part, and my dad's part, to fix this fiasco that is not of our doing. When I refused that, they came back with $150 dollars which is a bit better but still not worth the inconvenience. As of writing this, I am still waiting for the fridge that was ordered a week ago.

I am so upset and disappointed with the Home Depot delivery service in CT. I ordered 3 kitchen appliances from them. We set up two different dates for delivery and one was a complete no-show no phone call. The first date I received a called after 3 hours of waiting that they would not be showing up for delivery. There was no one to speak to and no way of dealing with this issue. I drove to the store in Waterford, CT the next morning to be told it would be taken care of and appliances would be delivered asap.
An appointment was set up almost a week later (while having no fridge or stove and not able to cook for Thanksgiving). The delivery date came up, window set for 4 pm-8 pm, no show, no phone call and waited approximately 7 hours for them. I kept calling the recording and with a message they were delayed but delivery would occur that night. Nope never happened. I will never use Home Depot again for large purchases. They don't have the resources to follow through. I would be very careful using them. I don't know what distributors they are using in CT but they are not dependable or reliable.

Home Depot Complaint to be posted 11/20/2018. Our new washer dryer purchase has been a total nightmare. We went to our local store #3407 in N. Conway, NH and purchased a unit store sku # 1002962265 from a girl from the paint department who waited on us who had to call someone else to complete our purchase. When we were contacted by a shipping company “Atlantic” they were 10 minutes away at the WRONG ADDRESS which should have been passed properly when we bought this item since we have done a lot of business with this store. 1 Error!
Today 11/20/2018 the day of delivery we had a small snowstorm it appeared to be about 2 inches max. very light snow. Easily cleaned with my snowblower. We live on a back dirt road in an association but road maintenance here is very good. The plow went by several times and sanded also that I observed. The truck from Atlantic was a large box class B truck which was not adequate for the conditions I now say in hindsight and they should have rescheduled. 2 errors so far! I offered and went to meet the truck since GPS coordinates in this area is at least 6 miles off the target. The only way is to use landmarks which are right which I relayed to the driver who then argued with me about his device. 3 errors!!
I met with the truck and we drove to my home. I thought since I live on the back side of a hill and up to my turning into my drive they were behind me. I went up the hill on foot and as I chimed up the incline I noted that the road was still slick but my 4 wheel drive had no problem which now in retrospect I believe the delivery company should have taken into account. 4 errors! The drivers wouldn’t deliver since they were having traction problems simply turning around in my road because they were overloaded for the conditions and slipping on the road surface, Improper tires. 5 errors!!
Since my vehicle had no trouble getting up an down my road I agreed to take the box into my car and transport it to my house about 100 yards distant at this point. We transferred the box and they left having refused to simply help lift this into place since I had signed off which is still wrong since these are 2 young men strong enough for 15 minutes of simple lifting and conversely I am 71 and while still somewhat in shape I am nowhere what I was once. Since this is what I’ll call wrong. 6 errors!!
My wife and I got the box out of the car, up our front stairs, into the house and unboxed except for a box upon which to slide this into it final place in our bathroom – laundry. All is well until we tried to stand it up. TOO HEAVY. A call to our local Home Depot store from which this was purchased we thought would get someone even if on their own time to come over and help… So far nothing. They did say that they would call the trucking company and someone would call back… So far nothing. 7 errors!!

I purchased a washing machine for delivery to my home in Western NC, it seems our local store farms out the delivery to a store in Greenville, SC, 50 miles away. We were supposed to get delivery last Thursday. The delivery company trusted their GPS and ended up on the wrong road and therefore took the washer back to their warehouse R&D trucking. We contacted the store manager, Joey, gave him the turn by turn directions and asked if we could have the earliest delivery possible, which he assured me he did.
Fast forward to today, we were the last delivery on the truck, and guess what, they never got the instructions and again followed the GPS and again said they can’t deliver, this is after we waited all afternoon. I fault the Home Depot manager Joey and R and D delivery for almost costing us another day with no washer. Bad management at the delivery company and local Home Depot. Bad, bad, customer service. After buying a new GE Slide In Oven I was assured by the Home Depot sales person that it would be delivered in 3 to 4 business days and between the hours of 4 pm to 8 pm. And that I would get a phone call the evening before the delivery day after 4 pm to confirm the desired time frame. Sure enough I get a phone call stating that my oven would be delivered between 10 am and 2 pm on the 4th day after my order was placed. I called the number given to change the time frame and explained my conversation with the sales staff.
The Home Depot project advisor was rude, incompetent and a complete idiot causing me to hang up the phone and call back. I spoke to another advisor who was slightly more helpful but I still couldn’t get my oven delivered on the promised day and within the promised time frame. So I had to settle for a delivery date of two days later, on the Saturday but they couldn’t give me a time frame at that point. But said I would get the normal phone call the day before after 4 pm.
I received the calls the evening before stating that the oven would be delivered between the hours of 8 am to 10.30 am. That morning I moved the cars early and cleared the snow from the pathways and salted them to ensure a clear unobstructed pathway. 8 am to 10.30 am came and went so I called the project advisor to ask where my oven was. Again I was met with total rudeness, incompetence and total disrespect for a customer.
I phoned the branch where we purchased the oven and a representative was somewhat helpful and after another hour informed me that my oven would be delivered within hour or two. I sit here still waiting with no delivery and no confirmation of delivery, the time is now 4.30 pm! The oven finally arrived at 4.45pm. On inspection the appliance had no protective wrapping or crate around it and had damage to the oven door and the warming drawer. The oven was not accepted and put straight back on the truck. Some good advice, do not purchase appliances from Home Depot or use their delivery service.

I get a late night call from an automated machine telling me that the shipment is being delayed and it will not be delivered for another week or so? In the meantime, I have had the kitchen remodeled and earlier that same day, I had given the old refrigerator. I had everything stored in ice chests awaiting the new refrigerator... which will mostly spoil. I am so pissed and their customer service. I ordered a washer, dryer, and refrigerator from Home Depot for my new home. The delivery company refused to let me know the time frame they were coming until 7pm the night before. When they got there, the guy was talking about how he didn't work for Home Depot and his company was actually Home Depot's boss (weird). He was definitely one of those dudes with massive ego issues. He went to put the dryer in and then came out laughing and making fun of me because they didn't fit. He said I measured it wrong. Technically, I measured it right but since I am new to this state I didn't know they have to add 4" to the back of the washer and dryer as a safety regulation. His attitude about it was terrible. But seeing as I was moving in the next day, I wanted to check with Home Depot to see if there was anything else I could do.
He became extremely aggressive and kept telling me I didn't need to talk to them I just have to return them and wait another 2-3 weeks for them to deliver different ones. I asked him to give me a couple minutes so I could call them and then I went into my room to talk to them privately. He then started yelling at me through my bedroom door, essentially saying the same things he already told me. I asked him repeatedly to leave me alone but he would not. He got his "boss" on the phone who was actually pretty understanding and said of course I can call Home Depot to confirm. But once I was off the phone he proceeded to harass me about returning the delivery again. They still had to install my refrigerator so I'm not sure why he was rushing me so much. Anyway, they finally leave with the washer and dryer and I spent hours on the phone discussing the whole thing with Home Depot.
I felt so violated and scared (I was home alone) and the rep from Home Depot even said I probably should've called the cops. I went to Lowe's and bought a different washer and dryer because Lowe's uses their own employees, not a 3rd party delivery company. After this experience I will never use Home Depot again. Also, I just got a call from Samsung and they said the reason I haven't received my refund is because the delivery company is saying I kept the washer and dryer even though I have all the paperwork that shows otherwise. Home Depot needs to get better delivery people and verify themselves with the manufacturers what happened. It's been 2 weeks and I was told my refund would take 5-7 days.

They sent a representative to check it out, and he said there was nothing wrong with the refrigerator, bottom, or freezer. I filed a complaint with the BBB headquarters in Atlanta, GA.
When I called the store manager to arrange to return the refrigerator, he said he would make me pay a restocking fee, on top of paying for return delivery. He said this is the refrigerator I chose to buy. He said his representative found nothing wrong with it, and that I was only claiming that the freezer door was not working because Home Depot denied a refund. What has happened to Home Depot? I have been a loyal customer for probably 30 yrs and have dealt with Home Depot in several different cities in Western NY but the one in West Seneca has the RUDEST customer service associates I have ever encountered. Yesterday I was shopping for the Hoover Floormate Deluxe that was on sale for $98.00. The model is on the wall but no boxes underneath, on the other side of the aisle against a wall there were two boxes, one was pretty torn up with holes and box damage the other seemed intact and it was also named the Hoover deluxe Floormate. I asked a sales associate if this was the one on the wall and he checked the ticket and said no it was $120 because the SKU was different.
I thanked him and said I would check up front. I went to the Customer service counter and explained what I had found, the woman seemed annoyed that she had to look up the product for me. She said we have one in the store and that it was probably the one on the wall, "the display model" no box no manual. She did not offer to check other stores for me, she did not say let me ask the manager. I said well, I guess I need to check to see if Lowe's has something similar. She replied, "Yeah you do that go to Lowe's" What the Heck is going on here? Who is responsible for training these associates. This is not the first time I have encountered rudeness at this store but I thought maybe it was a one time thing. The appliances were installed but I didn't use them for a long time because my house was being renovated and I was not staying at the house. When I started to use the dryer a couple of months later, I noticed that water was collecting in the floor around the stackable washer and dryer. I thought the washer was leaking. After several calls with LG and checking the washer, no one could identify any leaks from the washer.
Finally, in October 2017 I was able to get a person to my house from the company responsible for installing the appliances. They verified that a hose was missing from the dryer and that is what was causing the leak. They had not installed the hose when they installed the appliances. They told me they were going to order the hose and install it. Since then I called several times and still no word from ForwardAir Inc. Today I called them once again and they told me I need a work order, which had never been requested before.
I have no idea how to get a work order or from whom. The attendant at ForwardAir transferred me to another company who said they didn't deal with LG. I called ForwardAir again and they told me to call Home Depot. I called Home Depot and they told me to call LG. What will be next? When I was upstairs they wanted me to sign that they didn't "damage" anything. I had to say "wait let me check for myself". I had to check the furnace that there was no damage.
There was water all over the floor that I had to use my own towels to clean up. The dryer was dramatically crooked and not installed level. Then I had them help me level it. They started the washer and dryer cycle and left. Then when the dryer took 2-3 hours to dry a medium sized load of laundry I checked and they had also pinched the dryer hose behind the washer so it couldn't breathe. Our landlord had a plug installed and asked that Home Depot install and take the old dishwasher away as was on the original order. Called Home Depot for installation and set up a time for crew to come out. We were given a window from 2:30-6:30 PM. I personally waited for them to come for the installation from 2 PM onward. As it was getting close to 6 I called the customer service line, which is all automated and takes a few minutes to get an automated update. Even past the 6:30 time, the automated delivery update said that everything was on time for the delivery and installation.
No one ever came. I spent 30 minutes trying to select different options to finally get in touch with a customer service rep from the delivery department. I was then told that the delivery company was closed at 6:30 PM and I would need to call them back in the morning. Disappointing experience and big waste of time. Home Depot never called to say sorry that they couldn't come or gave any updates or options to reschedule the time. It's all on the customer to figure it out and waste time waiting for their dysfunctional system. How can a company survive with this business model? In the future I will take my business elsewhere and highly recommend that others do the same. GE appliance delivery from Home Depot - May not arrive. Ordered a GE refrigerator and gas range from Home Depot 3 weeks ago to be delivered on a Saturday. We were told to expect a call the day before to confirm delivery. Friday no call from delivery service so I called on Saturday and was told that they did not have the order from Home Depot store despite being charged for on my credit card statement and full order from the store. Called the store in Waukesha WI and was told this is the third such incident that they had that day. Called on Monday to reschedule and discuss with the store manager on duty. This is the first bad experience that I have had with Home Depot and hope they look into their process and systems!

I purchased a dryer online and was given a delivery date and it was between 12:30 to 4pm on a Saturday so I went out to breakfast. Next thing I know I get a phone call from Home Depot driver saying, "We are here at 9am." I told them I was told 12:30 to 4pm. They told me, "We can do another time." I said okay. He told me 5pm on a Tuesday. Perfect. Tuesday rolls around. I get an email, "Your deliver will be arriving at around 10am to 2:00pm." Once again they messed it up.
At this point I called the Home Depot and I issued a refund. A guy on the phone named Joshua told me it would be 72 hrs till I can get my money. Okay. So 72 hrs passed still no money in my account. I call them back. They tell me I have to wait 7 to 10 business days to get my money so I was lied to and this greedy company wants to hold my money and collect interests and try to make their stocks look good while I am out of 400 dollars with no dryer. This company is nothing but a liar. Never again will I purchase anything from here.

We purchased a dishwasher for delivery and installation. It was delivered on November 3rd, 2018. The Home Depot plumber claimed the dishwasher was broken and they would need to call the Home Depot delivery service. They said a new dishwasher would be delivered later in the day. The delivery service called later and indicated they had to order a new one and it would be a week. The plumber took our old dishwasher and left the broken dishwasher in the middle of our kitchen. They also left our kitchen sink disconnected so we are now without a dishwasher or kitchen sink. Everyone we talk to is claiming it's someone's else's fault. Home Depot is not willing to take responsibility for anything and is telling us we have to deal with their third party delivery service and plumbers ourselves.

We were scheduled for delivery of a new fridge on Nov. 1 between 12 and 4 pm. The fridge never arrived, no one from Home Depot or the driver called to let us know. We had to do all the calling to find out what was going on. During this time, we never spoke to a real person - everything is chat, text or automated message. None of these non real-time options provided any useful information. But once the text person reached the delivery dispatch, we were informed that the office was closed for the day but they would be happy to delivery our fridge on the next delivery to the area, meaning we will wait another week.
The frustration is not so much with the missed delivery. It’s with the complete lack of regard and consideration to the customer and no accountability for the delivery service. From the existing reviews, this seems to be a chronic and persistent problem. Perhaps if Home Depot required missed deliveries to be first priority on the following day, the problem wouldn’t happen so often. But apparently, there is only 1 truck and this gets loaded the night before and nothing can change at that point. Baloney. If there was an option to choose No Stars, then that would be my rating.

My husband and I purchased a washer and dryer from HD. Delivery of first set Sept 20th 2018. Delivery team damaged both the washer and dryer bringing them in then they didn’t take them back to the warehouse. The driver wrote on the deliver sheet scratches on left side of both washer and dryer that set in place. My originals could not be reinstalled because my husband and I were not about to touch the set. Left behind 10 days and $45.00 for laundry. The second set was delivered on Oct 4th 2018. After removing the damaged ones out this team (a different pair) damaged the second washer bringing it into the laundry room. I have been in contact with a Mr. ** from HD and there has still not been a resolution to the problem. Guess if they wait long enough I might forget about it. Not happening.

Order a new washing machine, scheduled delivery. Took off work to wait in the allotted 4 hours time slot. They never showed up. Called the delivery co, was told they were there and no one was home. Asked more questions, was hung up on. Called Home Depot, was redirected to someone else at delivery company, very rude and obnoxious women who only wanted to reschedule. I was upset, did not want her only time slot so said no. 2 minutes later received an email (with no contact information) from Home Depot about cancelling my order. A week later, delivery company shows up with a washer, did not accept it. 10 days later went to local Home Depot store, my cancellation had just been started. So 3 weeks later, no washer, still on my credit card, and have to call corporate to file a complaint. Won't be buying there again.

Today I was to receive delivery and installation of an LG refrigerator and LG microwave purchased last week. The delivery came on time as promised. However: They did not set up the refrigerator because they said we had a single use water outlet. (In fact the water source has a waterline built into it and that is where they are to connect to.) They told my wife I needed to get a plumber to change the spigot. They did not set up the microwave either. They said that the newer microwaves are larger, requiring brackets to be positioned lower in the opening and they'd have to drill through the tile backsplash. However, their regulations prohibit them from drilling through tile. They left without telling my wife where the holes needed to be drilled. So I can't get anyone to drill the holes because I don't know where to drill them.
I called the delivery number and they were not helpful at all. They made excuses regarding why they cannot tie a water line together or why they didn't indicate where the holes needed to be drilled. She said to complain to the store manager because all of the installation details should have been explained to us by the salesman. I hope someone from Home Depot reads these articles because their inefficiency creates problems with the customer. I am buying appliances for a rental unit I own but will look around for another source to purchase. I like Home Depot but this experience has soured my attitude toward them. Someone needs to communicate their policies to the customer, delivery or sales.

I purchased a GE refrigerator Sept 2018. After shopping our local stores found the size needed at the price wanted to pay at Home Depot. The salesman was great - explained that I could get delivery for the next day, which was great since the purchase is for an occupied rental. The morning came for the delivery and I didn't hear anything about when they were planning on delivery. I called the store and the person said they had not arrived with the fridge to do the delivery yet but assured me she would call when they were close and let me know. Right after her call I got another call from the delivery driver explaining he was 5 minutes away. Confused I called the store and the person who answered said that is not correct and they will call when they knew more.
I waited for the delivery truck expecting them as they said they would be right there. No truck?? 2 hours pass and numerous calls to the store. Then I get a call saying the driver would not be delivering the fridge today, because they had missed me the first time around so it now can't be deliver. I paid $100 for delivery for that day, but due to miscommunication from the driver and store too bad. Never have I had such a mess for a delivery! Shortly after that I got a call stating that they could delivery with them getting a rental truck to bring it over. And because of all the time wasted and problems they would not charge me for delivery. I agreed to this and they delivered it no fee. I was happy to avoid not waiting making the renters happy to get their fridge replaced.
Unfortunately after the guys left I noticed a huge damaged area on the front of the fridge. How did that get overlooked by me and the delivery guys. I waited since it was late in the day and called the store in the morning to explain the problem after delivery. The managers whom I spoke to were accusatory and rude as I had damaged the fridge. After calls and trip back to the store I was told they would re-order a door to fix the dented one on my fridge, although the person who does this had left for the day, she would call me tomorrow. Well after waiting for her to call a couple of days I finally called and was told that they can no longer call. I would have to call the manufacturer myself and order the part. I had purchased a 5 year warranty for the fridge so they want me to use my warranty to fix the damage.

After speaking with a store manager, I was told that I basically purchased a 2 year warranty not a 3 year because their plans start immediately upon purchase. I will not purchase another appliance from Home Depot. The employees are not educated on what they are selling. They are misinformed and then relay that information to the customer. That included store managers. I was told by the manager that the extended plan that I purchased was for the 4 years and then he recanted when I called him to discussed the warranty. We discovered the valve on my hot water heater where the line runs from to the fridge for the ice maker and water dispenser was frozen. So they left the fridge in my garage and I called a plumber who came out the next day to replace the valve. Called HD back for installation and the earliest they could get me in was Thursday, 10/18.
So I called on 10/17 to see when my window time was and was told they didn't have any appt for that day for me. So now installation is set for Friday and was told I'd get a call the night before which I'm not holding my breath. 7 weeks and I have a $2,000 fridge sitting in my garage with 90-degree temps outside. On July 2 2018 my less than 2 year old Samsung refrigerator stopped working (the temperature in the freezer rose to the 50's and the fridge was in the 60's.) I had purchased the warranty protection plan from the Home Depot so I contacted them. Four months, several dozen emails and phone conversations back and forth with the Home Depot, two repair companies, 6 different technician visits and 5 changed parts later and I am still without a working refrigerator. In the meantime I have lost 1,000's of dollars worth of food that I purchased after each of the 6 times that technicians came, replaced something, and told me that the problem was "fixed". I had to go out and buy a compact fridge and a compact freezer from the Home Depot so that I could keep some essentials on hand during this ordeal.
After this last technician visited, my unit again failed, spoiling all of my food. I again contacted the Home Depot. I was told that at this time I am not eligible for a replacement or reimbursement but that they have contacted a third repair company that will contact me within the next two business days. The repair companies that they have contact you are just random companies in your area and are in no way affiliated with the Home Depot. I see no end in sight. If you are going to buy a major appliance from the Home Depot do not buy the Home Depot Product Protection Plan. Instead opt for the warranty through the manufacturer.

The first time they attempted delivery, giving me a four-hour window as the minimum opportunity, I had to take off work to be here to accept for delivery. I cleared out the laundry room to receive the delivery and had arrangements for remodeling of the laundry room to start the following day.
However, the dryer had a large scratch in it requiring me to refuse the delivery. I never heard back about rescheduling. I called them about a week later and again was given a minimum of four-hour window to be available. Again took off work to be here to accept the delivery. Again made arrangements for the following week for laundry room renovation. This time they delivered only the dryer, not a washer. All in all a bad customer service experience. The only good thing was that they did not oppose my order cancellation. Now will start over somewhere else.

Long story. I purchased 6 appliances during a sale last fall. It seemed like a good time to save some money and get very needed upgrades to our home. I had no idea that this would be the worst customer service ever! I was promised that I would have them by Thanksgiving and that did not happen (11/20 delivery got pushed). Purchased in early Nov. 2017 FYI. They did give me an ice box so I had a working freezer for the holiday (I was so disappointed to not have them when my family got here).
So here is where is got really bad. New delivery date of 11/27 got pushed and then again on 12/1! So finally an new date of 12/5 and the delivery company came with a damaged oven, washing machine, microwave, and the wrong item # for a pedestal to go with the dryer (which was not caught when ordering with the salesperson). The 3rd party delivery company said that I should refuse the damage items and that they were going to order new to replace and call with another delivery date, so I waited and waited.
Finally I call a week or so later to HD and found out that they were never reordered! SO another delivery date was made for 12/27/17. The work order was wrong and they said they could not install 2 items I believe. I paid for all installs and take away! SO when they finally came with the remaining appliances the fridge got scratched and my door damaged and I found out that the 3rd party delivery company hired another delivery company to deliver my order and they were so unprofessional!
HD tries to blame LG and the other delivery companies but refuses to give me right compensation for this major waste of my time and distress. They mentioned that the freezer should be more than fine for my time and offered $100! I think they wanted me to give up and go away, but I was reminded that if I do not speak up more and more people will be taken advantage of and that's not right! I wasted time and stressful energy on this. I need to be compensated correctly for this. BUYER BEWARE!! I filed a complaint with the BBB and hopefully they will do the right thing. Buy small and local is what I have learned from this experience. I have never written such a bad review before but had to.

He was on the phone with several different people throughout the evening. It never arrived at the destination it was supposed to go to. To make a long and harrowing story short and after over seven hours of back and forth with different customer service reps, and ten or eleven days later, we cancelled the order. We were told that we would get our refund to our bank account (we used a debit card for the purchase) in 7 to 10 days.
After 10 days we still didn't have the refund, so I called our bank to file a dispute. The bank gave us provisional credit. So today after 27 days since we made the purchase and still no credit from HD, I called and HD told me that everything had gone through with the credit, I told them, no that it hadn't, that the bank gave provisional credit until this was settled with HD. This woman transferred me to the nearby HD and this person said that since it had been paid with cash that they had to send us a check for the refund. I told her that no, we paid with a debit card. Hello all, it’s Disappointed Consumer again! Home Depot is totally outrageous! Here’s an update – Eventually, on Tuesday the Home Depot service team came to my house and moved away the old washer machine from my garden. The service team supposedly repaired the new washer with leakage problem. I was at work so my same sibling requested them to leave after the testing completed but they rejected and left in about five minutes of stay. Ten minutes after they left, the new washer was leaking again wetting the floor so severe that again took us a few hours to clean up. We are at a loss of what to do and called Home Depot again to file report/complaint. The manager claimed nothing they can do except to replace the new washer but cannot deliver the replacement until a week later.
How can one swallow the fact buying a washer from top appliance brand as LG costing more than $800 and buying from renowned retail Home Depot can get this kind nightmare experience! A simple washer purchase is now taking already 3-4 weeks and I am not even sure the replacement washer yet to arrive will actually function and passing through my door successfully and smoothly. I can only keep my fingers crossed. Most annoying is LG sub-standard washer product and Home Depot unacceptable, non-helping service. Being LG top line washer costing $800 can yield irreparable defective performance even after repair, what can we expect from LG lower cost washer?! Being well known as community-friendly yet Home Depot service can be so negative and depressing, what good products and fair services can we expect to get from them?! Again, sharing my anger and frustration with you all. Disappointed Consumer.

We purchased a dishwasher from our local St Louis store on 9/2. It was delivered on 9/11. They do not install same day - they have ANOTHER 3rd party vendor outside of the delivery service come to install - well, they discovered the dishwasher was damaged and put in a request for a replacement on 9/11. We were supposed to receive a call with our new delivery date by 9/13. By 9/17 we had not heard anything even after multiple attempts to reach people at several numbers so we cancelled our order.
First, we were told that the cancellation went through and we'd receive a confirmation email and they'd pick up the damaged dishwasher. I never got a call after that either, so I called back 2 days later and they said no, we can't cancel the order until the damaged dishwasher is picked up so on 9/19, I scheduled the pick up for tomorrow. So far, we do not have a window of the pick up time so I called AGAIN. Now they are saying that the order is not cancelled, and they have to wait until the delivery of the replacement can be scheduled before they know what time the pick up will be so they can do both at the same time.
WE CANCELLED OUR ORDER. WE DO NOT WANT A REPLACEMENT. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. No one will take responsibility, no one has any answers or resolutions and the story changes every time I call. We'll probably just have to pay the Home Depot credit card charges to avoid collections for a dishwasher that was delivered damaged, never installed and does not work. I will NEVER EVER shop at Home Depot again. This has been a HORRIBLE experience.

Product delivered and the next day the installer removed our old dishwasher-which was in perfect shape but my wife wanted a different color--and put it on the truck to haul away which we had paid extra for. Then he discovers that the new dishwasher was dropped in transit and damaged. So he takes pictures and calls in the situation and leaves with my dishwasher we have no dishwasher. Just a big hole in the cabinet where one used to be.
Salesman at Home Depot says someone from the manufacturer will call you. Has now been another week and we have no dishwasher and have not heard from anybody. Went to HD store and talked to store management. No help at all. Even offered to come pick up the floor model myself if they would just get it installed. No dice. So I'm sitting here with no dishwasher except for a defective on taking up needed space in my garage.
Called Best Buy and have one coming and will be installed in less than one week from the time of the offer. Also $142 less than Home Depot. Difference is Best Buy actually carries large appliance in inventory where evidently HD is only an order taker and all shipments come directly from the manufacturer's warehouse wherever that is. So since Home Depot does not control the situation you as a customer are in big trouble if anything goes wrong. My advice is to deal with someone who actually carries inventory and controls the situation. I wish you good luck if you order from Home Depot and there is a problem as you will get absolutely zero help.

after many phone calls and hours talking to different people at customer service, Home Depot finally refunded the delivery charge but it was a struggle and took a very long time.
The problem is not directly with Home Depot. The problem is with the company that Home Depot contracts with to do these deliveries and installations. These are outside companies Home Depot hires to do their delivery and managers at Home Depot need to review these external companies as they are affecting the reputation of Home Depot negatively.

Lightning hit our house the end of August and blew out all of our major kitchen appliances. We lost our refrigerator, range, microwave and dishwasher. The sad part was our existing dishwasher was only 14 months old and of course this is considered an Act of God so no warranty would cover it anyway. Thank God the our 8 month old washer and dryer were not running so they made it without any damage. We figured now since everything “died” at once, we would get all matching kitchen appliances in the same brand and color (GE Black Slate). So far, not too bad, Home Depot did not have the refrigerator available in the size we wanted (28 cu French Door) and we didn’t want to wait so we went to Lowe’s and they had it delivered and installed within a day.
Delivery went smooth, no damage and they hooked up our water connection for the water & ice dispenser. We purchased our smooth top slide in range and over the range microwave from Home Depot and paid for the install of the microwave. Range and Microwave came and were installed with no issues. We told the delivery men about what happened and asked them to look at the dishwasher connection so that if we needed anything we would have it taken care of prior to going in to buy the dishwasher. The delivery men checked out our “fried” 14 month old KitchenAid and said “You’re good to go, just go select your dishwasher and pay for the install”. This is where the bomb started outside of the lightning a few weeks earlier.
When they delivered our range and microwave, the delivery guys pulled up in front of the house and unloaded the truck at the street. Not the lazy delivery guys bringing the dishwasher, Oh no, they backed up their “Penske” rental truck into our driveway, going over and rutting the front lawn from all of the rain we have had the past days. Come into through the attached garage to check out where the dishwasher is going to be installed. They look at the old dishwasher which I said was only 14 months old and installed by Lowe’s last summer. They open the kitchen sink cabinet and tell me “Sorry we can’t install your dishwasher because your plumbing is copper.” Now I’m a bit confused because I know our house was built in 1998 and still has copper but how many other homes have copper as well.
I told the one delivery guy what the previous guys told me two weeks ago and he said, "No, we can only install if there is PVC piping". Now if you go on to Home Depot’s website, and watch the video about Paid Dishwasher Installations, the only thing they request is a dedicated, grounded outlet, a water supply line that has a shut off and a METAL connector and that the line is not leaking and that the consumer purchases new hoses because they can’t reuse hoses. I told him that and he still didn’t care so we said, fine, cancel the install and we will get someone to install it ourselves. While I was in the kitchen dealing with the paperwork, the other delivery guy takes the dishwasher off of the truck and puts it up against my classic 1964 Chevrolet in the other garage bay.
He never asked where we wanted it put and the one garage was completely empty because we had pulled out the car earlier that morning and parked at a neighbor’s driveway so they would have no issues get the new dishwasher in and the old one out. I came out to the garage and couldn’t believe what I saw. I told the driver who put the dishwasher there, that they had to move it and he just ignored me and went into the truck so here I am sliding the “unopened” box across the garage floor to where there was more room and away from our classic car. I questioned the delivery guy who refused to install it why did I need to sign when they didn’t open the box and he gave me attitude.
As I walked back over to where our classic car is, there is a dent in the chrome trim from them slamming the dishwasher box into the trim and I tried to tell the driver but he just got on the truck and drove away, totally ignoring me. I called Home Depot immediately and filed a complaint only to get pushed around from manager to manager to the call center and then to another manager. Then I get told “it’s the delivery company’s fault”. The delivery company is blaming the manufacturer saying it’s GE who said it has to be PVC and when I pointed out the video I get told, "Well we have to follow what the manufacturer says." I speak to GE and they tell me they never said anything like that.
As for our 54 year old car with 33,600 original miles on it, everyone is pointing fingers at everyone but no one will take responsibility nor has anyone come up with how they are going to find a chrome door strip for that car with the same matching trim color on it. The Freight Forwarding Company called me later that day and after we had a lengthy conversation, she first said, “well, I can tell you’re upset, so I will just call you tomorrow to discuss this”. At that point, I replied, “no, we will talk about this now”. The Freight Forwarding Company that Home Depot uses in Pennsylvania is “Freight Rite” out of Camp Hill. They basically don’t want to take responsibility for ANYTHING and find excuse after excuse for the behavior and damage that their employees caused.
I have photos and everything but they don’t care. If you read the Better Business Bureau complaints about them, basically their delivery team will destroy your property and/or your appliance as well and then they do everything in their power to say it isn’t their fault to the point of downright lying. The washer and dryer we purchased in February was delivered by the same delivery people, Freight Rite. The idiots stood on the dryer to connect the steam hose water line and put a huge dent in the top of the dryer. I told them, "Look what you just did," and, "No. I don’t want this dented dryer." They called it in and proceeded to tell GE that it was damaged in the box.
They lied right in front of me on the phone. I did get a replacement dryer a week later, but they had no problem about lying. Lowe’s in this area still uses its own employees for delivery and the store handles the issues without having the “ring around the rosie” effect that Home Depot does. My advice is to stay far away from Home Depot for appliance delivery and installation. I learned my lesson and I’m going back to Lowe’s from now on but since everything has been replaced, I’m hoping I won’t need anything for a long time.

My husband and I spent 1600 on a new refrigerator that was on sale for labor day. We were told it would be delivered roughly a week later. When it never arrived, we called to inquire. We were told the delivery date was put in for a month later. Myself-being the peace maker-wanted to think the best of the store. It was an accident. The guy was new, he entered the wrong date. They apologized and said the refrigerator would be delivered the following week. It was an inconvenience, but a 2nd week-fine. It's developing character, right? Ha!
When it wasn't delivered today, I called the store and spoke to the manager. While he was very kind, there was nothing he could offer to make it right. He said Home Depot merely serves as a show room but... and here's the kicker... ONCE you buy the appliance, they use third parties that don't communicate to Home Depot OR (as we found out!) to you if there is some sort of issue. SO... if there is some sort of back order, you are left waiting. After speaking with multiple managers that didn't know what to tell me, couldn't answer why/when, I suggested CALL LG. He finally did that, and found out it would be a month wait. we cancelled our order. Come to find out, this is something Home Depot has occasion to do. Customer service, damage control, is clearly lacking. I will personally never shop at Home Depot again for anything.

I ordered a refrigerator from the Hybla Valley Home Depot and had very positive experience until it was time for delivery. The first time they were supposed to come they went to the wrong address! I didn’t receive the 30 min call to alert me they were on the way at all. I received a call where they claimed to be outside my door. They weren’t! When I called back they then said that no the original call was actually my 30 min alert call and that they were on the way.
Well it wasn’t. No one showed up and I had to reschedule. They were on time the second time but refused to install the fridge! According to the driver they were, no longer allowed to attach water lines. Well that was news to me! I tried to reason with the delivery company but they refused. Fine, I’m mad but I still have a fridge, but wait I don’t! Before we resolved it the company told the driver to leave with my new fridge! Not only did they leave they didn’t put my original fridge back in place. WORST SERVICE EVER.

On August 12th I received a call from HD expecting them to provide us with our delivery window, but instead they told us the refrigerator was out of stock and sorry for the inconvenience, and it would be two weeks before they could deliver our fridge. They gave us an 800 number to call, and when we called not only would they not get us a refrigerator sooner, but the only way they would cancel the order was if we went to the store to beg them for our money back. All we wanted was them to credit our credit card for the online purchase price. We ended up going through the hassle of disputing the charge with our credit card company.

Purchased a Samsung French door refrigerator and matching over-the-range microwave for delivery. Waited patiently one week and confirmed delivery and installation of both. Made sure both had updated outlets/connections and that there was a clear path to both locations in the kitchen. On the day of delivery, our confirmed 4-hour time slot came and went. We received no notification that the truck was 1/2 hour away so when it arrived an hour late, we had to rush to clear the old fridge of food.
The two delivery men were not friendly and quite frankly seemed to hate their jobs. No apology for the lack of communication or missing the delivery window, despite the fact that I took a day off of work to wait for them. They rolled the fridge into the kitchen, peeled the protective layers off the front, but then left greasy fingerprints all over the doors. They did not level the fridge, connect it, test the functions, and they refused to answer connection questions. I ordered the upgraded braided water line in the store and I had to ask them for it three times before they threw the cheap plastic line at me with a grunt.
For the microwave with the CONFIRMED installation scheduled, the delivery men dropped the box in the middle of the kitchen floor. They did not uncrate, set up, test, inspect for damage, or discard the packing materials as outlined in the basic installation agreement. They refused to help with installation or answer any questions about it. Honestly, it was abundantly clear that they had no intention of helping us and that they couldn't leave fast enough. Thanks for nothing.
Next day, called Home Depot to request a refund on the incorrect water line and report the abysmal delivery and lack of installation. Home Depot customer service put me on hold several times trying to reach the 3rd party delivery service (didn't catch the company name or I would be blasting them on social media, too). Waited about a half hour just for them to suggest that they could drop off the correct waterline I already purchased in TWO WEEKS. When I told Home Depot that was unacceptable, I was put on hold again.
HD Customer Service assured me that I would receive a credit for the incorrect waterline but if it was not satisfactory, I would have to take it up with the retail location I ordered from. I fully expect this fight to continue for a while. As a previous reviewer stated, "If you want it done right, do it yourself." Home Depot, don't advertise that you provide free home delivery and installation if you don't. Sincerely, A Disgruntled Home Depot customer who now shops exclusively at Lowe's.

I purchased a refrigerator and dishwasher from Home Depot on line on July 28, 2018 and I finally had the dishwasher installed on September 5th; a horror story in itself but nothing compared to my refrigerator experience. Keep in mind that I purchased a new refrigerator because my old one does not work. I have been living without a refrigerator since July. As of today, September 10, 2018 no refrigerator. I have wasted more time than I care to say holding for the actual delivery company subcontracted by Home Depot (FGO Deliveries in my case) and the Home Depot outsourced delivery support company (ASI in my case). They have rewritten 3 work orders each time guaranteeing set up. Well I took August 18th, 28th and Sept 5th and now the 11th off from work and the job hasn't been done yet. They have one more day to make good on their promises but the games have already started.
Thought the support company finally had it all straightened out but I received a message this afternoon from the actual delivery company asking if they can set up the refrigerator tomorrow??? They have a work order so what is this all about??? Of course I called them back and kept my phone on hold for 4 hours listening to music. They never answered. It's really just crazy at this point. So Home Depot, I hold you responsible because I purchased the appliances from you. I think it's time to make some changes on your delivery end. And just for the record, I called the Home Depot customer service line and their efforts didn't pan out either. Come on, do you like these one star reviews? Ordered a GE washer in store on August 30 at the Cold Spring, KY location and was given a delivery date of September 7. I live in a rural area so this isn't unreasonable. I had to take the day off from work since I didn't have a specific delivery time. I waited all day, no delivery. Not even a phone call to let me know that it wasn't being delivered. I called HD and was told that it might have been the bad weather holding them up (we had heavy rains that day) and the delivery driver wasn't answering the phone.
No apologies for the inconvenience, they just said that they would leave a note in my order to call me the next morning. And they did call...to let me know that my washer wouldn't be delivered until September 14 due to "availability in your area." So basically it's only available on Fridays if they feel like driving that far and the weather is good. Their excuse is that they have too many customers and cannot keep track of all the customer's contracts, please give me a break with the computer systems available now and they do not have a sophisticated computer system.
If you can remember every time you buy an appliance with an extended protection plan and renew it before it expires then you are renewed for another period of time, however should you not renew in time you are screwed since the will not renew the protection plan after it expires and they are hopeful you will forget and not renew. We bought a new matching stainless set of appliances - dishwasher, fridge, microwave, and stove - from Home Depot on 8/26 during their Labor Day sale. The prices were great and we were very happy walking out of the store. But then everything went to crap. We were set for a delivery date of 9/17. Not great, but tolerable. Upon logging in to check a price for something, we found that the delivery date had been changed to 9/24.
We were never notified of this so the fact that we found out was a fluke. I called and was told that the microwave was on back order and that was the reason for delaying the shipment. We spent an hour on the phone breaking up the delivery so that the major appliances could be sent earlier and was told we'd receive them on 9/5. On the evening on 9/4, as I'm writing this, I've been called TWICE to be told that the order will be received on time. However, a Samsung employee called me this evening as well to tell me that the delivery has been postponed till the 12th because they failed to get the appliances from the warehouse quickly enough.
Since I had conflicting delivery info, I called the Samsung number and was told that yes, my delivery was changed with less than 24 hours notice and that there was nothing that could be done about it. No compensation, no apology. Seriously? This is some of the worst service I've ever seen! We'll definitely be ordering from a different company next time. New delivery date set. This happened 5 more times until February when we finally received our appliances. Not exaggerating. To make it worse, they didn't bother to call and tell us of the delays. We found out each time by calling them first. HD kept blaming Samsung (mfg of the oven), but I say HD was mainly at fault because they should have eaten the cost of two deliveries and sent our fridge and dishwasher while we were waiting for the oven to come in.
Three months for appliance delivery is unacceptable and a thumb of the nose at the customer. HD basically said "We'll take your money now and you'll get your appliances when it's most cost effective for us." Adding insult to injury, the dishwasher is leaving a white grease all over our dishes so we are still hand washing until we can get this issue resolved. Not happy.

I purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher online from Home Depot. I was sold a "Repair or Replace" 5 year service plan for $160. In selling me the plan, I was assured me that anything that happened to the dishwasher would be covered. They said a number of times, "If we can't repair it we replace it." Skip two years and the dishwasher is smoking. They sent out a repairman who told me to switch my products. I did. 1 year later and the dishwasher is covered in a black oily substance. I call again. They send out a technician and he says that I need to be cleaning out a filter. I do, every two weeks. 8 months later and the black oily sludge is back again. Sick stomachs all around.
I call Home Depot again. They send out the same technician. He says he doesn't know where it's coming from. He's never seen this before. I expected that the dishwasher would get replaced. NO. They said that it has mold so it's not covered. This is a dishwasher that I use daily. And yes, it has a moldy smell but what is the black sludge? And where is the mold coming from? I complained again. They sent another technician - same deal. I just called again and they are sending another technician. They have spent more money on technicians than the dishwasher is worth...and they still won't replace it. They are sending out a third technician now. Asurion Protection Plans - beware. I have had similar stoves in and out of the house in the past. A very easy fit! The delivery company explained this to me and I complied with their directions. 24 hrs later, the freezer makes a hissing sound and won't cool, which means there's a coolant leak. The unit simply won't pressurize and therefore won't ever function properly.
I called Home Depot within 48 hours to return the freezer. Home Depot however, doesn't take responsibility of it, but instead leaves it to G.E. G.E. schedules the return pickup, but fails to do it correctly so the delivery/pickup service was not scheduled. I now have a brand new, non-functioning freezer that has a coolant leak sitting in my garage, and Home Depot could care less. Do not do business with Home Depot! If you buy a refrigerator or freezer appliance and the delivery company turns it on its side, REFUSE DELIVERY! This is a tactic by delivery companies to avoid having to handle the startup process because if the unit fails, they don't have to take it back to the warehouse. After being delivered a severely damaged Samsung gas range, it took nearly a month and countless hours on the phone to rectify their error. The operators who answer the phones do not have any knowledge of the products they represent and make promises which the company refuses to fulfill. Calling Samsung to schedule delivery of another range took 1 hour and 8 minutes; 45 minutes of which was spent on hold, only to have those arrangements ignored and alternative ones made without our knowledge. The deliverers rush your inspection of the appliance, telling you that you have 48 hours to report damage. They fail to mention that this could take up hours of your time and cause untold aggravation.
Home Depot's delivery company, Spirit, is deplorable. The operators are rude, the deliverers cannot be understood on the phone and they insist on telling you how hard their job is and how many deliveries they have yet to make. For these reasons, I will never purchase a major appliance from Home Depot again. Even if the appliance costs more at Lowes or Best Buy, it would be worth it to avoid this despicable delivery company. Home Depot should be ashamed.

Beware when Home Depot say "includes installation..." I purchased a very nice washer/dryer set. HD sends a third party company out to "install" and they do NOT stand behind company. The installer couldn't hook up washer and then stated HD sent the wrong vent hose for the dryer. So... I have brand new set not hooked up. When I called HD regarding issues - they said that the hose provided by their "installation company" is the ONLY dryer hose the installation company were authorized to install and if it didn't fit, I should buy the correct hose (after paying for the WRONG one) and hire someone to come in and install it??? Seriously??? Never again HD. Never again...

I ordered a new fridge and the people that installed the new fridge broke the old one that was working perfectly. I contact the delivery company. They to claim they told me there is no liability to cover the old one. They refused to fix it and also stated that we have to fix it on our own expenses. They were very rude plus they were laughing while I try to explain my problem and take it lightly with no respect.
