Ordered an over the stove microwave on 7 Dec for and the earliest delivery install available on Saturday the 14th so we scheduled that. 6pm on the 14th they call and say they cannot deliver it as it is badly smashed. (They never came to my house. This was just discussed on the phone so actually the delivery person actually refused it – not me, but their records show I refused.) 3 days later, as you have to wait 2 business days, I was able to call into the system to schedule reorder for the 30th. They arrived on the 30th. We inspected it and it looked fine. After they installed it (where they did not look at any of the instructions – only one of them spoke English). I noticed it is angled up as it comes out from the wall. The lower corner is 1/2 inch further from the wall than top. Their excuse was my cabinets are not straight - but my previous 2 microwaves hung just fine.
Also - they did not perform the full appliance setup (none of them read the instructions). They did change the damper in the back for outside exhaust but did not change the follow other 2 required steps when venting outside: the charcoal vents on the bottom or switch the top front vents (per the manual – which they never looked at, and I had to do these steps myself after they left to ensure my product functions as expected. See the manual – Damper installation section - page 5 Step 3, and Page 5 Vent Cover Installation steps 1-4.
Finally when they were done they just packed up and left after I said I did not like that it was not level. They did not clean up the mess they made with their drilling and install – the top of my stove was covered with sawdust and drywall dust from the install which I had to clean up myself. I called Home Depot and they will send out another installer next week to fix it supposedly. Considering all the extra issues (double delivery waits for me, my time) and completing the proper installation of the microwave parts per the instruction manual – I should get a full refund on the installation. I will never buy from Home Depot again.

Very unsatisfied. I purchased a refrigerator on 11/20/19. It was supposed to be delivered on 11/27/19. It arrived with a huge dent in the freezer door. It was sent back. I was told that the replacement would be delivered on 12/8/19. It was not delivered! I called the delivery phone number, and I was told that it would be delivered on 12/28/19, between 4:30-8:30pm. IT WAS NOT DELIVERED! I did receive a confirmation on the delivery date as 12/2819. I went to the store where purchased to confirm the delivery date and time. I had 2 confirmations of the date and time. It was NOT delivered. I received NO phone call of a change in the delivery time or date. When I called the number I was given, I could NOT talk to a live customer service rep. I will be canceling my order and be going elsewhere! Do not buy anything from Home Depot! You will be waiting for months for delivery.

Purchasing at the Home Depot has been the most stressful experience. I purchased from them a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a range and a range hood. They only give 48 hours after delivery to return any of the items. I wanted to return the range hood. I called before the 48 hours expired and scheduled a time for pick up. The scheduled date I was given for pickup was 11 days after the delivery between 11 am to 3:30 pm. The day arrived and no one showed up. I called multiple times throughout the day to see where they were but every time I spoke to a new associate, I got a different story. One associate named Gina literally had me on hold for 43 mins to tell me they’ve rescheduled the pickup for yet another week without given me the timeframe or anything and then hung up one me.
The worse part is that no one takes responsibility, the customer gets screw and the Home Depot gets away with their shady moves. It’s been a horrible horrible experience. I do not recommend anyone to buy appliances from the Home Depot. Please save yourselves from the stress because even if you weren’t returning, just the delivery of the other appliances were stressful enough. Please purchase somewhere else and don’t be tempted by those ‘sales’ they promote. They aren’t worth it. Up to this date, I am stuck with a range worth more than $400 and even though I followed their 48 hour policy, they didn’t take responsibility for picking it up. And another terrible part, you do them the favor of taking the appliance to their store and instead the Home Depot charges a 15% stock fee! No no no! Never again Home Depot!

I purchased a dishwasher from Home Depot on 12/11/19 they were unable to get the installation done because Waldo ** the delivery and installation guy told us he doesn't have the tools to remove our old dishwasher so we should hire a plumber and have the plumber disconnect the dishwasher for easy haul away...and then call Home Depot when this is completed to schedule a time for new delivery. We did and reschedule the appointment for 12-27-19.
Today Waldo ** returned with the dishwasher and has a new problem. He told us that we only has one socket for the dishwasher and we needed 2. My husband told him this is unheard of. Every electrical appliances has and need only one socket. Waldo ** then said to my husband, "I'm not an electrician so I can't install the dishwasher...call Home Depot for the installation refund," and then he turned around and saw my uncle sitting in his wheelchair and bust out laughing and pointing saying, "Oh look at that old man sitting there. Time for him to die." This bought tears to my eyes...who could be so inconsiderate and rude. This made me so sad I asked him to leave my home.

I bought a Hampton Bay ceiling fan from Home Depot in October of 2018. Recently, the fan motor stopped working. I called the warranty center, which is Home Depot, listed on the Hampton Bay guide book. A male answered and after taking preliminary information, asked for my receipt number. When told I didn't have it, he said there's nothing they could do and if I read the warranty, I would know that. When I politely told him that I would not be recommending Home Depot or its products and would not be shopping there in the future, HE UNCEREMONIOUSLY DISCONNECTED THE PHONE LINE. REALLY, HOME DEPOT??? I'VE BEEN IN YOUR STORES...THEY'RE NOT CROWDED!

Beware of Home Depot's no return policy on appliances. Even items that are only online that you can't even touch have a no return policy. I've talked to a number of home Depot Representatives from the store manager in Cary North Carolina to the customer service 800 number and I've gotten nowhere. This is really really insane poor customer service. Their major competitor has 30 days return on appliances. I would never buy another appliance from Home Depot again.

If I could give zero stars for Home Depot's customer service I would. Worst experience I've ever had. The management team are finger pointers taking no responsibility for anything. We moved into a house without appliances. Ordered on 12/4, delivery scheduled for 12/21. On 12/20 I called for delivery window after 7pm because no one bothered to call me and was told my delivery was rescheduled for 1/7... WHAT, over a month without appliances. No apology just told it is what it is. Out of their hands. Truck delayed a day but no explanation why that adds 16 more days to my wait time. Got nowhere with anyone. I will NEVER set foot in a Home Depot again and not because I didn't get my delivery but because of the lack of customer service, lies and for taking no responsibility in the matter. Sorry Home Depot, if you take my order and my money it IS your responsibility, not your delivery company, not your manufacturer's but YOUR responsibility.

So anyone who has ever bought appliances from Home Depot knows, is that at the point of purchase everything is very well organized. You immediately get an email with an order # and a link to track your delivery. You then get a text which connects you with an app that further allows you to manage your delivery. All of that is well and good until the third party delivery company fails to show up with your appliances on the specified time/date. In my case, they just failed to show altogether. I was supposed to receive a delivery to a property I'm rehabbing on 12/19/19. Workers are there all day. In fact, the front door was off of the house and being painted inside. I'm assuming my appliances were delivered, since I had workers there all day and since I never received a phone call, text, or email stating that no one is there.
A couple days later when I'm at the job I don't see my appliances. My contractor tells me that no one ever showed. At what point was I going to get a phone call, text, or email for me to reschedule? I will tell you when, NEVER! These ** never circled back with me. So I just lost over an hour trying to a) get to the bottom of what happened, and b) get my appliances rescheduled. So now they're rescheduled for January 2nd. But it gets better, the manager of customer service at Home Depot then has the nerve to tell me that they can only hold the one unit until January 6th. Are you kidding me? You people and your third party delivery company totally drop the ball and you then tell me that the clock is ticking on my order? I recommend to anyone reading this to find a local appliance dealer or wholesaler and deal with them. If you tell these companies that they need to match Home Depot pricing they will. Bye Felicia.

The Company did work with me, albeit with about 3 hours on the phone. However we reached a good solution in which we will be receiving a dishwasher next Saturday, all agents I spoke with were kind and understanding. Home Depot certainty kept my business with their solution. Its very much a first world problem to have to say "how can I live without a dishwasher over Christmas!!"

Spoke with HD about prep needed for delivery, did everything they said. Guys show up, and immediately see the old dishwasher still in place (never told on checklists to remove it), were very rude and were going to leave! Luckily our Handyman is there, and removes it in 2 minutes...Just as soon as he gets it out, we get told "sorry the dishwasher and microwave are damaged." Now I have no dishwasher installed, so I call HD and the Dishwasher I ordered is on backorder for 2.5 more months! No offer to make this right at all, they have had my money for over a month now too! Awful experience, I would pay the extra money and go through a company who would care at least a little about you!

I order a washer and dryer and when the delivery came the truck would not pull in the driveway, I spoke to the 3 guys in the truck and showed them if they backed into the driveway how easy the delivery would be. I had the doors off already and the old machines outside already for pick up. They went back to the truck and left never telling me they were leaving. 5 minutes later I received a call from the carrier that they couldn’t make the delivery. Apparently the delivery guys were too lazy to deliver up my long driveway. I would have taken the delivery at the end of my driveway but they didn’t even have the courtesy to tell me they were leaving. I cancelled the order and went to Lowe’s. The price was better for the same machines and I got them the same day. Home Depot lost my business forever.

Made arrangements in advance to haul the old fridge. No call, no show. Called support at 8pm who said they could not reach the delivery team. I purchased my kitchen appliance set (refrigerator, oven, microwave, and dishwasher) from Home Depot 3 years ago and had the worst experience with their delivery and installation service. I had to schedule 3 separate deliveries because they weren’t able to do it properly the first time and when they finally were able install all items they left my kitchen hardwood floors with deep scratches.
Shame on me that I trusted the sales person at Home Depot that they have a new delivery and installation service that is operated by their company now (due to all of the issues they had with the previous one). I purchased a new washer and dryer and the delivery people were to arrive between 3pm-7pm but they didn’t get to my house until after 8pm. Then they let the dryer sticking out 2 ft from the wall so it was sticking out in the middle of my laundry room. When I asked him why he left it like this he said that the air duct they were “given by Home Depot” was too long and I had to go to Home Depot myself to get and install a shorter one. Why the hell did I pay for part and installation services then?!?! I am never purchasing appliances from Home Depot again!!!

I bought a stove at Home Depot with high expectations, but the installers left the equipment installed without verifying if there was any gas leaks, unfortunately, when I tried to turn on the stove there was a very hazardous gas leak. After, contacting the Home Depot they assigned me to directly contact the delivery company (they didn’t even bother to do it themselves). Therefore, Home Depot will not even take responsibility for my appliance installation. Now, in present day, I am still waiting for a proper technician to assist me with this serious issue. I was not pleased with the Home Depot appliance department nor their delivery company.

My husband and I ordered a suite of Kitchen Aid appliances from the Prescott Az Home Depot scheduled for delivery Dec 10th. The appliances made it to the bottom of my driveway but a 3rd party delivery man from Barlow Company was unwilling to bring the appliances up the steep driveway. Our moving company brought an entire household of furniture, including a "garage refrigerator and freezer" up the same driveway the day before! Delivery man said the appliances would be delivered to Home Depot and they would make the delivery on a small flatbed truck. Found out Barlow Company took the appliances back to their warehouse in Phoenix, 97 miles away, to be rescheduled at a later time for delivery to HD in Prescott. We live 8 miles from the Prescott store!
This makes absolutely no sense. After not hearing back from Home Depot within 48 hours with a new delivery, my husband called and found out the appliances would be delivered by Barlow to Home Depot on 12/31! Home Depot would then call to schedule delivery with a few days, so early January. Due to a major home remodeling project, the appliances were removed so the new floors could be installed, so we have no appliances! My husband went to the store and spoke to the store manager Ryan who expressed zero empathy, offered no solutions, rejected husband's ideas due to store policy and then suggested he leave because he was too upset.
2 days ago our appliances were 100 ft from our front door and now they won't be here until early January. Who wouldn't be upset? I called Corporate Resolution and spoke to Cheryl who was also unwilling or unable to offer a resolution. In fact she said to me "I am only hearing one side of the story. I haven't spoken to the delivery man"? What?? I am the customer, not the delivery man. Can someone from Home Deport please help us? Craig Menear, can you please help us?

WE just received a Maytag from Home Depot today. THe third party delivery contractor decided to allow the box to get wet and delivered it that way. I did not notice it until 5 mins after they left and I started to open the box. I called the third party contractor and Homedepot.com and since Maytag refuses to replace it they refuse to do anything about it. Home Depot is allowing the Contractor to get away with this and the customer is left to have to let the appliance "air out" as I was told over the phone. So we are stuck with this and then pray that Maytag will fix it if it has issues. THis is the second dishwasher we buy from them that comes with issues. THe first one was a Samsung that lasted about 3 years and was a lemon from day one. Never again.

On Nov. 30 we went into a Home Depot store and ordered a Kitchen Aid dishwasher with a total cost of almost $1,000. We selected Dec. 7 (a Saturday) for delivery due to work schedules. This Saturday is always the St. Jude Marathon in downtown Memphis so notices are all over the news and signs on the streets that travel in the downtown area will be problematic until after 11:00 due to road closures. The delivery company did not take this into consideration and attempted delivery at 9:30 am. There was traffic in front of the home so obviously some roads had opened up but the driver called and claimed that he could not get to our home. We called the dispatch and they rudely told us that they were re-scheduling our delivery for Tuesday.
We then called the delivery driver and offered him $100 to bring it out on Saturday since Tuesday delivery was problematic for us. He agreed and arrived at 5:30, installed the dishwasher, turned it on to check for leaks and left. Twenty minutes later the dishwasher stopped working and hasn't worked since. We called Kitchen Aid on Monday morning since they were not open on Sunday and were told it was a "dud" and we needed to call Home Depot and get a replacement. We called Home Depot and after several calls and long hold times finally managed to get a manager (Candace) on the phone. She said "no we don't have to replace it since it did turn on". Then she decided that since it was within the 48 hours that they did need to replace it.
After another long wait on hold the representative did the paperwork but only to discover that the delivery couldn't be arranged until Dec. 18 (a week and a half after the faulty dishwasher was delivered) which isn't convenient with our work schedules so we are waiting until Dec. 21 for delivery of a new Kitchen Aid dishwasher that will hopefully work this time. So Home Depot has our money and we have no working dishwasher for almost a month now.

Home Depot told us they would install the Microwave and charged us the installation fee in advance at the store. They really don't want to install the appliance. When they get to the house they say they can't install the microwave because the microwave does not vent directly out of the back - despite the fact that the microwave was to be vented directly above the microwave in the exact center port location of the previous microwave. Couldn't be more straightforward. It was obvious the deliverymen are instructed to sell you on keeping it... to leave you with a new microwave and leave the customer with the task of figuring out how to find an installer and then dispose of the old unit themselves. Beware of this and when it happens - tell them to take the unit back. Unfortunately we still have the huge microwave on the floor.
We finally got the HD upfront installation fee refunded (took several weeks) but here we are with the new microwave on the floor and it will cost us big time to have someone come in and then the disposal fee. Don't fall for this scam and just send the unit back with the deliverymen. They don't tell you about this straight out the back venting requirement at the store and these installers were clearly coached - very good at convincing customers to keep the microwave without installation. Home Depot buyer beware.

Worst Appliance Service Ever!! Don't order appliances from HD!! Home Depot delivered a broken dishwasher, and we waited for a tech to arrive several days later, only to tell us the machine was defective. Yet Home Depot refused to replace the machine! After 4 calls to our local store we finally called Bosch, who agreed to "do us a favor" and replace the machine their "certified tech" noted was defective.
HD's "policy" is to refuse to replace if damage is not reported with 48 hrs. They tried to weasel out of replacement, despite their own tech placing the note in their call system that he found the machine to be "defective". We also called our local store within 48 hrs (and several more times over the next two weeks). They simply lied to us with promises to replace the machine, but failed to do so. Save yourself 12 hours of time and 3 weeks of aggravation (what it took us). Buy someplace cheaper, and use the savings to pay for a reputable contractor to install.

Disclaimer: I realize that the installers are sub-contracted to perform installs, and they're not Home Depot employees directly. We ordered a dishwasher online and had it delivered to our home. The first set of installers claimed that they needed to install a junction box to power the new appliance. They also said that new holes would need to be cut inside our cabinets to re-run the water and drain lines, as well as to accommodate the box. They, of course did not have the tools to do so, and claimed they couldn't or wouldn't do that anyway.
Ultimately, they unpacked the new washer and left it in the garage so they wouldn't have to transport it back to the warehouse (so it wouldn't be damaged in the meantime). Then we had to reschedule the install for two weeks later, once I had gone in and cut the holes in the cabinets myself, which was not an easy task. The second set of installers were much better. They completed the job with no excuses and were very professional and courteous. I'll be calling their office and leaving a positive review.

I waited until 3:30 pm and not one showed up, so called customer service then they said that they came waited outside the Building and left because no one was in the lobby to take them up to the apartment. My building is 24/7 two door men. So they basically didn’t even come and lied about the whole thing. So I had no choice but to call and reschedule.. Now it is a week later. So on the new day of delivery, they called this time and said they are downstairs.
When they get to my apartment, the guy looked at the kitchen counter and said, "Oh this is not gonna work, you have a granite kitchen counter and this model doesn’t allow us to drill on the sides, only on the top." (remember I spent almost an house when I placed the order explaining to the sales a person at Home Depot 23rd street that he needs to be sure that the dishwasher is the right fit for what I was talking about, stone countertop, and I made sure to mentioned it many times to avoid any surprises when the moment of installation comes). But one of the delivery guys said: "But we can install it for you if we cancel the installation fee without company and you give you us Cash instead, and no one has to know about it." I was shocked that the guy was very confident that he said that, he made it look as if he does this on daily basis.
So I said I need to call Home Depot to see why they made this mistake, but then the guys said while he was calling someone on his mobile phone, one second, talk to our manager, while I was on my phone with Home Depot, so I told the Home Depot customer service person to hold for one second, and took the guy’s phone and a woman said to me, "Sir.. yes they can't do it, maybe you should figure out something.." So I said, "Thank you but I am ok. I will talk to Home Depot about other option," and hang up the phone and put it on the table near because the guy was whispering something in other guy’s ear.
Then the guy screamed at me and said, "I Handed you the phone why did you put it on the table and not give it to me." (Home Depot was on hold on my phone). The guy then said in a very angry tone; "YOU HAVE ONE MINUTE TO DECIDED." I felt extremely threatened in my own home, and wanted these guy out immediately but tried to stay clam while I was explaining the situation to the Home Depot person on the phone. Then the two guys said.. "We will see you next time." And left with the dishwasher.
So while I was on the phone with Home Depot I was able to tell them what happened since the two guys left already. Home Depot let me connect you to the right person. This right person was definitely the very wrong person as she said we are not responsible for the installation people behavior, and she Even said that the salesperson whom I spent an hour explaining the right fit for the dishwasher wasn’t his fault.

First, I ordered floor panels after a recommendation from a floor expert at Home Depot who I had consulted with in person in the store. When the panels came two weeks later, they were the wrong wood. I asked them to exchange them with the right items, and they confirmed that they would do that, and they ordered the correct panels. However, then nothing happened for weeks. I keep calling, with no results. I was told the order couldn’t be found, or that the order could be found, but they had delivery problems. Finally, i went to the store and spoke to a supervisor who confirmed the order, but he was unable to find the panels that had already been delivered to the store in their warehouse. After an hour, I left while he promised he’d work on it.
Another week passed without results. More calls, more confusion, and finally a delivery date. I waited during the delivery window for 5 hours, but no delivery happened. More calls (15 altogether) and apologies from HD, and a new delivery date for the following week. The next day, I was out of town and received a call that the would deliver in 20 min. ???? I had no way of getting to my house in such a short time, and had to call again to make sure they'd kept the delivery date they had scheduled for the next week. Finally, i received the items. It had taken five weeks to get the right items.
Second, I ordered a GE fridge from Home Depot. There was confusion on the website whether the door was reversible and I called HD. They told me they didn’t know, and asked me to call GE. I called GE and they said, yes, it’s reversible. I hired a task person to be there during the delivery window. When the fridge arrived, they had the wrong model. A lost day of waiting and paying a person to wait while I was at work. Because I rejected the fridge (wrong model), HD cancelled the order.
I contacted customer service and they told me because the order was cancelled (by them), I had to “physically go to the store” to reorder because the order had been cancelled. I was confused and called again. This time, I was told, I had to “reorder from GE”. I was even more confused since I had ordered from HD and not GE. I called several more times, and was told I had to re-purchase the fridge, and when ask for possible compensation for the waiting time, was disconnected. Same during two other chats.
I contacted an elevated customer service person via email who seemed nice, and re-ordered the fridge for me via phone. He also gave me gift certificate, but then told me the fridge had “gone up in price within the week” and asked me to apply the certificate right away to the new purchase, which seemed strange since it left me without certificate really. However, he was nice enough to set up a new delivery date.
Third: Again, In the proposed delivery date, I waited for five hours, and the fridge finally arrived last minute. The delivery people opened the truck and a wave of what smelled like ** escaped. They took out the fridge, without much care, showed me the upper part, and asked if I accepted it. I said, "Let me see it first," but they were very pushy, eager to move on. I noticed that the door swing was on the other side. They told me that I had to order the swing at purchase and pay for it, and that it “needed to be done in the factory”. Then I noticed that the door rubber on the freezer was torn, and I had to send the fridge back again. More customer service calls, during which-again- I was told that the door reversal had to be done in the factory at GE. I then contacted the elevated customer service person again, and he told me that that wasn’t true. He scheduled a new delivery for the following week.
Fourth: The delivery window was confirmed for 2-7 pm. Again, I waited five hours, but no delivery of the fridge. For 6:30 on, I called the delivery company, but no one picked up until after 7pm. They then told me the “truck had broken down”. This time, I cancelled the order as I was so frustrated with HD. The customer person contacted me and apologized, and told me that the order could not be refunded via phone, and that had to physically go to the store to swipe my card to get a refund. ??? No other compensation was offered. I went to HD to swipe my card to get the refund. This was the last trip I will ever take to HD. I’m done with them. Lowe’s it is from here on…

We purchased our kitchen appliances from Home Depot simply because they gave us the best price and we had a great experience with our washer and dryer we purchased from them as well. Our appliances arrived at our house about 5 weeks after purchasing them. The fridge had 5 dents in it (2 from the fridge cart the delivery guys were using) and a scratch on the front. We were told we could try to get compensation for the products because of the damage so we thought we would try. The stove had a huge scratch and dent on the side and the "3" button did not work.
We called Home Depot/Whirlpool and decided to have replacement products as the compensation was not enough to warrant the damage on the new appliances. We were told the replacement appliance would be here within 7-10 days... 2 months later, after 30 calls to home depot, and 1 cancelled delivery from the delivery company, we finally got our replacement appliance. The problem this time? The fridge did not work at all, and the stove looked like the delivery guys had dropped it out of the truck. At my wit's end, I called to ask for my money back and decided to buy my appliance from a reputable local company instead.
Heed my warning - if you purchase from Home Depot all might be fine. BUT if it is not you will have a pain trying to get it figured out. Purchase from a local company without 1-800 numbers to jump through when you have issues. Our new appliances just arrived from the local company and not only do they work, but there are no scratches, the guys were incredibly kind and respectful of our home, and were really hoping to create a better experience for us as they knew the struggles we were through with Home Depot. Do not buy appliances here - you will regret it! Support Local.

So I took my receipt back to HD to get my money back (1,400.00) and now they have the nerve to tell me I have to wait for the delivery service to return it to the manufacturer. Why is this my problem if they couldn't deliver it to me? What says they will delivery it back? Home Depot I want my money back. YOU SUCK and PS absolutely no apologies were ever given. All I heard was, "Oh well this is our procedures". Well don't worry HD. I will never be back in your stores again.

Called to ask for a replacement unit but was told that it would have to be repaired and not replaced as it was not reported within 48 hours. I am not able to cook on stovetop as I must put large heavy chair in front of stove to keep door from falling open due to pressure of spring. No one at Home Depot seemed to go beyond "we sympathize with your dilemma but... we cannot replace the unit." Repair man cannot come for over a week. I should have gone to my local appliance dealer who could have come that day and replaced the unit and not repaired it!!! So much for the big box stores and never never again HOME DEPOT.

2) They didn't mention that they were re-configuring water and leaving an uncapped water outlet on the main drainage pipe. This uncapped outlet caused subsequent water damage.
3) They lied about checking the water.
4) They couldn't figure out how to drop the legs and mount it properly, but assured me that the machine was "totally functional" although it wasn't seated properly.
After capping the outlet myself, we tried running the dishwasher. It stopped with an error code indicating that the water was not draining correctly. I called Home Depot "Appliance Hot Line" and spoke to "Marissa". According to her, this was an issue I had to resolve with the Installation Company, not Home Depot. Home Depot, according to her, is not responsible for any problems arising from the company they have hired, no matter how incompetent they are.
A second, more experienced, installer eventually showed up. His first response when he saw the uncapped water outlet was that "we don't handle something like this, you should call a handyman to fix it". He subsequently ordered a new machine. We are still waiting for this machine. I don't understand how Home Depot can hire this sort of company and tell me they have no responsibility in the matter. We bought an expensive Bosch and paid for installation. As a result, we're dealing with drainage problems and washing dishes by hand. I should have gone to Menards and hired the contractor myself.

We ordered a stackable washer and dryer online from Home Depot. In order to save the $60 delivery fee I tried to have the units delivered the to the store, but I was informed that regardless of if I had the units delivered to my house or to the store I would have to pay the $60 delivery fee. This was strike one. Why should a customer pay for a company's logistics?
When I was ordering the units online I selected the take away option for $20, where Home Depot will remove your old units. There was also an option for a warranty which I declined and an option for a stackable assembly for $80. I wasn't clear what that was so I contacted a representative from their Live Online Chat. This individual informed me that this was the hardware for the unit which would be required if I wanted to stack the units. OK, $80 is steep considering the cost of the actual units themselves, but I need them stacked - so I paid.
The units arrived after a few days. Good turn around time, one of the reasons we went with them. As the delivery men, who were great, were moving my units into place and taking out the old units. I asked about the stackable assembly kit. He said they didn't have one for this order, showed me on the bill. I showed him my email and he told me to call Home Depot and that they would sort it out. Perfect. No big deal, they must have forgotten. I'm sure they'll expedite a shipment to me right away.
Well, they didn't. In fact, they informed me that I never purchased an assembly kit. What I did purchase was the cost of the delivery men to stack the units for me. What, for $80? Stacking a dryer on top of a washing machine is a 2 minute job for 2 adults, and requires 2 screws. How is it possible that it's $80?? And wait. The Chat Representative told me that this was the kit I was paying for. But this time, the representative I was speaking with didn't care what I was told before - that didn't matter. I was then told that I would have to go to a store and buy one myself. They then put me on hold before I even agreed to do that - and told me that the nearest 3 stores to me don't even carry this item in stock. That I would have to pay for it online and pay an additional $60 delivery fee. That they would not waive that fee.
I escalated the call, explained everything again (this is actually the 4th time I've explained the situation because I kept getting transferred), and they confirmed my only recourse was the spend another $140 (parts + delivery) and then AFTER the order arrived they would see about offering me "some compensation" but that they couldn't discuss what that compensation might be until after I paid them more money.
No chance. I then found the same item on another store's website for HALF of the retail price with free delivery. I explained this to the representative and she said to order it from them. So the end result was that I found a solution to the problem myself, after 3 hours of customer service run around, with zero responsibility on the part of Home Depot or their representatives. They were content with me going to a competitor to order the parts. I will never shop at Home Depot again. They extort their customers $80 to lift a dryer onto a washing machine, because they know some people have no choice as they cannot do it themselves.

After spending hours on hold and on the phone with them to arrange the installation of a new dishwasher (and hauling away of the old dishwasher), I just had two technicians show up to try to install the dishwasher...that hasn't been delivered yet. There is apparently no contact between the technicians and Home Depot, so they are unable to check where the truck is that supposed to deliver the dishwasher; and I am now back on hold with Home Depot, to try to find out where the dishwasher is. Once it's delivered, I guess it will just sit in a box in the living room of my condo, since I will then have to call Home Depot back again to try to reschedule technicians - who knows when that will be. What abominable customer service. To be honest, I never write online reviews of products or services, but this experience is so frustrating that I felt compelled to share it.

Had a Whirlpool washing machine delivered on 10/16. They came first thing at 9am which was great. 2 delivery men carried it in my basement through my garage, and nailed the door. Which pulled the veneer off slightly, minor damage, no big deal, but they acted like it didn't happen. Whatever. The real problem was after they put the new washer down, and took my old one away. One of the guys says he is going to give me new hoses for pipes on the wall that go to the back of the washer. I said ok. He goes to truck, when he came back I asked him if he really needed to be doing that since I didn't request or pay for an installation and my steel hoses were fine. He looks at me and smiles like he didn't know what I said (or care). He has one rubber hose on, goes to put the 2nd one on and I hear water splashing on my floor.
1 original hose had putty or caulk on it for whatever reason (bought house 2 years ago), and he was unable to attach the new rubber hose without it leaking. He tells me I need to go to Home Depot and buy a new fixture to attach the hoses, or call a plumber. I said I didn't even want him touching the hoses and that he ignored me when I asked. I began asking why he did that, did it even need to get changed etc...he tells me not to get an attitude. He gets a delivery paper for me to sign that he has already circled the option for "no property damage". I crossed that and circled there was, and then while I am asking questions both men just leave.
Later, while I'm on the phone talking to the HD store manager I realized one delivery guy had actually taken the steel hoses from my property. According to everyone I talked to no-one should have been touching pipes/hoses/installing etc...No idea how this will turn out. I also discovered the guy put a cap on the end of the pipe attached to wall that Hercules could not unscrew due to how hard he was cranking and the putty on the pipe. Now my old washer is gone. I don't know if my new one works. I got my metal hoses back but can't even see if they will work because of the cap this guy put on.
Hopefully HD does right thing and covers cost of a plumber or sends someone to my house. It was just bizarre that this guy ignored me, answered no questions, took my hoses, and screwed my pipes, and tried to circle no damage. I would have had to physically stop him to prevent this. I think he wanted to metal hoses to sell. Website even said no hoses would be provided. Very weird.

And there was a few other issues. Then I called Home depot to have them come back. They came back a week later and re-installed the door and left. After they left, we noticed the fridge door doesn't close unless you physically lift the door. Then I called home depot to come back, then a week later they came back and reinstalled it. Moving on to the washer and dryer, the first delivery company came and installed the washer, they said they couldn't installed the dryer because they smelled gas. Then they left.
I called SoCalGas, and they came and took a look, they said the gas smell is normal because we didn't cap it. They said the valve was not leaking after they tested it. But when they tried to cap it, they accidentally broke the gas valve. Then I called a plumber and fixed and replaced the valve and cap. Then I called home depot to come and install the dryer. Then they came and said they can't install a Gas dryer in the garage. And they wouldn't tell me why. I got so frustrated, but eventually they told me that the Gas dryer need to be 18" off the floor and have a concrete wall between the dryer and the car.
I was so pissed off at the moment because when they came the first time, why didn't they tell me that. Instead, I ended wasting 2 weeks and still don't have the dryer installed. Then I called Home depot trying to file a complaint, they were not helpful at all. And I can't return these items because home depot doesn't take returns on previously installed appliances. I will only buy from Costco in the future. Costco would have given me zero issues.

Bought a dishwasher, range and microwave from Home Depot. Paid for installation of the dishwasher. Exact same model as the one already installed--just a different color. Installer came and said they couldn't install it because it was a "side-mount" and the board on the right side was missing. Oddly enough, when the dishwasher was installed two years ago, Home Depot installers removed the board to install the dishwasher and we just never got around to putting it back on. So obviously, the board in question was not integral to the installation.
While I was annoyed, I let it go and asked if they would take out the dishwasher. Nope, because it would leave an open water line (which was shut off). So then I asked if they could install one of the other appliances. Nope, "that's not how it works". So all the appliances were left in the garage--blocking the egress point from the house. I had to go out the front door and through the garage door to make sure there was no damage.

Don't understand negative complaints on this site. Bought a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator and was told that any damage needed to be reported within 48 hours. Ten days later my wife noticed some damage on the side of refrigerator, close to the floor. It was obvious that the refrigerator had been dropped. We went to the store and talked with a lady in the Appliance Dept. She called Whirlpool and they stated that they would have somebody come out look at it.
The man came arrived on schedule and was polite and professional. He took pictures and submitted a report to Whirlpool before leaving the house, and told Whirlpool that the damage was such that it could not be repaired. He told us that it was obvious that the damage was caused in shipment and that he did not think Whirlpool would consider it a defect in manufacture. He suggested that we again contact the store and tell them that they could obtain the pictures and a copy of his report from Whirlpool.
We returned to Home Depot and again talked to somebody in the Appliance Section. They again contacted Whirlpool and the refrigerator was replaced within a few days. Granted we had to jump through some hoops, but they were not difficult hoops by any stretch of the imagination. Everyone that we dealt with was courteous and helpful. True, the refrigerator should not have been damaged in the first place, but as they say, (clean version) stuff happens. Once the damage was reported to Home Depot they took all the proper actions to make things right. I don't see how they could have treated us any better.

So it use to be that you could buy an appliance and be sure that if it didn't meet your needs that you could return or exchange it within a reasonable amount of time. That was a predominate change from the 60's and 70's where you were out of luck when you walked out the door. That was a great change to support customers during the 80', 90's and 00's but it no longer is true.
It seems that GE, who sells their refrigerators thru Home Depot, now (although you aren't told at delivery) provide a 48 hour return practice. Any contact outside the 48 hours is met with penalties and delivery delays. Home Depot (who I purchase the refrigerator from) now hides behind the GE program because they have conveniently decided to not provide a customer service program to support these events. THEREFORE, if you decide to Change, Upgrade or Return your refrigerator you are out of luck without absorbent return charges being added on to any of the actions above.... Well so much for buying USA product.

Two years ago we bought a Samsung electric slide in stove from Home Depot with a three year extended warranty. Two months ago we turned on the self-cleaning function and it burnt out the oven and the control panel for the stove. After doing some research we discovered this is a very common problem with this model of Samsung stove. We immediately notified Home Depot. The company that handled their extended warranties spent a month asking us to prove we had the warranty even though we sent them a copy of the sales receipt four times, which is what they required as proof. We were constantly in contact with the local Home Depot in Westminster, CO. They were no help and just kept referring us to their extended warranty company. Finally, after a month Home Depot sent out a repair tech. He fixed the stove but told us not to use the self-cleaning function because it will only burn out again and was a fire hazard.
We were outraged to learn that Home Depot was selling a product that was a known fire hazard. We filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Colorado Attorney General's consumer protection office, sent a registered letter of complaint to the President of Home Depot (who never responded) and finally, contacted a lawyer. We spent hours on the phone with Home Depot and their extended warranty company. Finally, with the threat of legal action after two months of fighting, Home Depot fully refunded the price of the stove and the cost of the extended warranty.
We recommend two things: one, don't buy Samsung appliances; research on the web shows that they all are inferior products except their cellphones and TVs. Second, don't buy an appliance or an extended warranty on anything purchased at Home Depot. They do not stand behind their products or their warranties. You might consider not buying anything from Home Depot unless it is nails or screws.

I ordered a dishwasher back on August 20th and it’s October now and it has still not been installed after wasting so much of my time and money waiting around for them to come to my home on 6 different occasions without doing anything but wasting my time. They delivered a broken dishwasher that could not be installed, yet they will not replace the dishwasher that they delivered to me broken.
Trying to resolve this situation has been a nightmare. I have been on numerous calls with HOME DEPOT, the delivery/install Company (HOME DELIVERY AMERICA) and manufacturer MAYTAG. When I speak to Home Depot representatives I have been transferred or aimlessly put on hold to be pawned off on other associates that I have to re-explain the problem who have either hung up or put me on hold to talk to someone else who can’t help. Now they tell me that they will send someone to repair a dishwasher. But why should I have a refurbished dishwasher when I paid top dollar for a brand new one!?
The Install team doesn’t even actually do any work. Instead of telling me all the issues they see on the first attempt they tell me each problem on another occasion telling me that they can’t install because of something else. They also don’t keep appointments. I scheduled an appointment with them and they didn’t put it in the system so it had to be rescheduled. Today they did not even call or show up for the appointment. I called to report it and have them come but the company cannot get in touch with their own workers! Because no one works at HOME DELIVERY AMERICA! Employed by HOME DEPOT! Why do you rip your customers off and waste their time and money!? I am outraged by the incompetence and lack of responsibility of Home Depot on all levels. I have needed service twice this year on 3 year old Samsung appliances. The first time it was my fridge and it took the warranty company 2 months to get it repaired after sending the service person twice to the wrong address and actually three service trips to fix the problem.
The 2nd time it was our Samsung washing machine. It has been 3 months and the warranty company has just now decided to pay us the original price for the washing machine since they can not get anyone to fix it (we will see if my check actually shows up). This is after spending many hours on the phone and going to the store twice to complain to the store manager that my machine was not getting repaired. I decided on July 10 2019 to buy my kitchen appliances from them. I knew it might cost a little bit more money ($7500) but I wanted to give them the business. Unfortunately, I decided to buy 3 appliances from 3 different manufacturers. Maybe that was my downfall. We set up a delivery date of Aug 17 (1st delivery date[DD]). Over a month away but they said they would need to make sure they get all 3 appliances together before delivery. I was not in a hurry so I agreed to that.
Aug 9 LG called about the fridge. It was being phased out. They offered me another one. But it wouldn't be available until Sept. Okay. Set up for Sept 6 (2nd DD). Sept 6 comes along and guess what? No delivery. I called the delivery company Home Depot uses. They said the GE Stove was on back order. Lol. But they forgot to call me. New date scheduled for Sept 12 (3rd DD). Sept 12: uh huh, you guessed it. No delivery. No calls. I called them. They said the stove didn't make it to the delivery truck. New date scheduled for Sept 18 (4th DD) (I normally love double Ds but not in this case).
Sept 18: Johnny and Jeffrey show up to deliver appliances. Right away they say they cannot install Bosch Dishwasher. It's too far away from sink! They make a note of it and say someone will call me to arrange a date for that install. No one called. I called on Sept 21. Cassandra schedules me for Sept 24. I specifically ask if they will have everything they need to do the install. She says yes. Sept 24: CJ and another guy show up. Right away they say they can't install the dishwasher cause they don't have the right part. HOLY COW! They weren't told what to bring. CJ says he will personally take care of it on Sept 26. He did. I gave Home Depot over $7500. My girlfriend says for that amount of money they should have worn white gloves and kissed my ** to get this right. Wow.

Hanging in my kitchen!! Then hauled my new fridge away!! Because Rashad had 8 deliveries to do since he came at 7 pm 1 hour late. By 8 pm he had another delivery!! For the record I gave Home Depot appliances details smooth delivery about my foyer. Knew in advance!! When Rashad showed up, lied to Home Depot my foyer was not safe to deliver/Install. The truth is he had another delivery to do by 8 pm and did not want to deliver or install!! My fridge I bought Sept 20. Rescheduled another week at October 3!!! Could write plenty. Very frustrating experience. After installation, ice started forming in my freezer. I was told by a service company and an installer to return it. Flaws were pointed out to me. I didn't see the problem immediately but called HD well within the first month. I found out HD has a two day return policy. Lowe's has a 30 day return policy and I was told by others with new appliance problems that they honor it with no hassle. This is just one issue but one which may be helpful.

I ordered a refrigerator for delivery on a day someone would be available to accept the delivery. Our delivery window was 9 AM-1 PM, but we never received our 30 minute notification call. Calls to the delivery information number only routes to an automated system that states our delivery is on schedule and repeats the 9 AM-1 PM window. After 3-4 calls to the store over the next 5 1/2 hours, we were told several times that there was a delay, but we should receive our call soon and that they had no way to contact the delivery company.
Finally at 6:30 PM, 15 minutes after our last inquiry, we received a callback from the store stating they were able to contact the delivery company and our order was not on the truck and would not be delivered. We have no explanation as to what happened and no one notified us until 5 1/2 hours after our delivery window ended that our delivery would not actually occur. I will never purchase or recommend purchasing an appliance or any other item that requires delivery from this company.

- An additional week to get one delivered "If" a replacement is needed.
- I have no option to request a new replacement for my "NEW" appliance.

When it came time to deliver the washer and dryer the lazy delivery people said the driveway was too steep for them and would not unload the items from the truck. I called Home Depot right away and they said there is nothing they can do. I have had larger trucks with large furniture delivered with no problem, just takes a little more work, which these lazy people did not want to do. They drove away saying it was too difficult for them. Home Depot did nothing to help. They said they would cancel the order and refund my purchase price in a few weeks. Installation subcontract firm drove by house 30 minutes after the installation window, claimed they couldn’t get in the very short, clear driveway, and took a picture of the front yard (not the driveways) as justification. They also post pictures of the interior of the house from a real estate company - kind of creepy. The last time I had such poor performance from a vendor was a product from Sears. They subsequently went into foreclosure, and I haven’t bought from the stunted Sears since. Home Depot is on that avoid list.

I waited 30 min wandering around and finally got someone to help me purchase. When they came out to installation the installers said they could not install. A couple weeks went by and I called for a refund and did not see the credit on my card. I called again and they finally after many delays credited. We called in the morning to confirm a delivery time and were told there was no refrigerator. We spoke with Debbie at GE Appliance Delivery. According to Debbie, they did not have our refrigerator to deliver and she had no idea where it was. She suggested I call the manufacturer. (??) I told Debbie that we took the day off from work to be home to accept the delivery, and someone from GE Appliance Delivery should have called us if they knew they had no refrigerator to deliver as scheduled that day.
Debbie said it was not GE Appliance Delivery's responsibility to let customers know if they are not getting a delivery as scheduled from them. (??) I tried calling Home Depot but got nowhere. No answers, explanation, or apology for inconvenience. No plan for refund. Nothing. We are trying to get our money refunded through American Express. Ok. I had a serious conflict of time with needing to take care of my job. So I called 2 1/2 hours prior to my 4 hour window. I added my number as the contact number for delivery. The woman I spoke to said that I was 7th in line to be delivered. From 1030 am to 230 pm. So I asked her if it was a safe plan to expect them to arrive around 1230 to 1 pm. She said yes. Then the prearrival call was not made to me. Then my daughter who was at work called me and said they were at the house. She text me the number they called her from.
When I called them I was in route to my house. This delivery was a must happen today delivery. To help you understand how important, I am going to tell you that because this delivery didnt happen my family has to use ice coolers. Water logged food and the inability to store food sanitary. My calls kept getting dropped and after I begged to speak to a supervisor, my calls were answered by their staff being rude, not understanding and lying to me. Because my number came up the first time I called them.
Jeremy answered and knew who I was without me telling him my number. I tried at least 5 times with them pretending to not be able to hear me and never allowed me to speak to a supervisor. I got a person who lives 2 blocks away to come let them in. 6 minutes after the truck left my home. They would not turn around. They were offered additional cash for the drivers and would not accommodate my emergent need for our fridge to be delivered. Next available delivery 1 week away. So because my request to be contacted was not done. So I could call friend down 2 blocks. Our family will have another week without proper food refrigeration. I would not recommend anyone to go thru this delivery company at all. My rating is really 0/5.
They lack the ability to consider the impacts of their decisions on other humans. I have not one thing positive to say after this was said and done. My good faith communication was not done. Even when they see that they failed my request, they would not work with me. And they would not extend the wait time for me to reach my neighbor. 6 min after they drove away, they would not make an exception. I really do not believe Home Depot would treat their customer like their delivery service did. I hope Home Depot reads this review. They are welcome to contact me by email attached to this review.

XPO subcontracted to a small company. They installed the double oven incorrectly creating a dead short. I had to hire a different electrician - XPO denied any issue. Worse, they incorrectly installed the gas cook top, breaking a new valve and connection, causing a gas leak.
After two weeks of no stove and dozens of calls, hours and hours of frustration, XPO refused to properly address, contractors didn't show up, XPO tried to evade responsibility, their phone reps were beyond rude (even hung up on me) - I had to hire a plumber to come out and replace and fix the defective gas valve and connection (yes, a plumber). According to their policy, another call has to be made with more repair parts to see if the washer can be repaired. If it cannot be repaired, cash back or replacement washer. Today is 15 days.
I spoke to Abby, the escalation manager, and she stated that is the policy and she could not override the process. She did offer a form to file for $50.00 stipend for laundromat expenses. Abby stated the usual repair time is 6-8 days and the 15 days are out of the norm. Due to circumstances around my disabled mom, this warrant policy is not meeting her needs. MY DISGUST with Home Depot and Samsung Appliance Process August 29, 2019. VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER H ** Atlanta, Ga. On July 8, 2019 we purchased a complete appliance package (Refrigerator, Stove, Microwave, and Dishwasher) from Home Depot. Delivery was set-up 8 days later by Home Depot. We have already paid for the package.
The day before delivery July 15, 2019 NO Call to confirm the delivery. On the date of delivery July 16th, we’re finally given a call and the delivery is 1 ½ hours AFTER the latest delivery time. Stove and microwave installed no problem. The refrigerator is installed but the freezer doesn’t work. Brand new refrigerator so OBVIOUSLY ALL THE FOOD IN THE FREEZER SPOILS. We are headed out of town so we don’t know that the Brand New Freezer doesn’t work. We get back in town 3 days later and find the food spoiled. Now we call Home Depot and tell them the Freezer doesn’t work. We go to the store. NOW they tell us about some type of 48 hour notification upon delivery. You can’t deliver a paid for appliance in 8 days AND 1 ½ LATE but you can tell me about a 48 hour notification time when I’m not at home.
Also AFTER they take out my dishwasher it won’t fit because the counter is not high enough, must be raised 2 inches. Needless to say I’m NOT Happy about that so me and my wife debate about a smaller dishwater or raising the counter. Decide to raise the counter at our expense. They take the dishwater back but NOW mine doesn’t work.
Now back to the nonsense. Home Depot and Samsung start to argue about this 48 hour notification while I still don’t have a working refrigerator that is brand new. This goes on for 3 hours in the store like we have time for this. Finally the store manager states a service tech will need to confirm the freezer doesn’t work and they schedule a tech. We still don’t have a fridge or dishwasher. It’s July 24, 2019 and we’re going vacation in a week. It takes 4 business days for the tech to arrive July 29, 2019. Tech arrives and states the freezer doesn’t work, Brand New refrigerator. He now orders the new fridge, it now 2 weeks and we still don’t have a fridge or dishwasher. We leave for vacation on August 3, 2019 and you know Home Depot and Samsung have a 48 hour notification process. So we decide to wait until we get back from vacation, we paid for the appliances on July 8.
On August 3 we’re getting on the ship for vacation, my wife is on the phone for 1 ½ hours at the dock, dealing with these issues. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING, can’t even go on vacation dealing with nonsense. We get back and they deliver the fridge and dishwasher on August 14, 2019 over a month NO FRIDGE or dishwasher. They install the fridge. IT WORKS, but NOW the dishwasher wheels won’t rise up. You must be joking. So we tell them to take back the dishwater. It seems you would check the appliances before you deliver them to save everybody time and aggravation.
They now schedule the dishwasher to be redelivered 1 week later August 21, 2019, 6 weeks from when we paid for appliances and still not in. Now they deliver the dishwasher 7am in the morning. NO call. The delivery guy gets there and now states they can’t install the dishwasher because the tile on the floor is blocking it. I’m EXTREMELY DISGUSTED at this point and tell just leave the dishwasher I’ll have it put in myself. DISGUSTED Customer H ** August 29, 2019

DO NOT LET THE INSTALLERS take your appliance out of the box until they have removed your old (in this case) dishwasher. While they were inside with me, telling me they couldn't remove my old unit, someone in the truck unboxed the new unit and threw away the insulation! Unbelievable. Further, since they had 18 installs scheduled that day, they HAD to find reasons not to do some of them. There is NO WAY to do a good job installing appliances 18 times in 18 different homes in one work day. Thus, they look for any excuse to move onto the next house without doing the job. And, apparently, remove any items that might slow them down (in this case, the insulation around the unit).

Once the time passed I started making phone calls and come to find out they changed my delivery date and did not notify me of this. We removed our old appliances from the kitchen the night before so when they came in I could Start installing the new one since I did not pay HD to do so.
Now I have no stove, microwave, or dishwasher in my kitchen and no explanation on why I do not have my new appliances or a delivery date of when I'll see my appliances except my refrigerator which is another week and a-half out. When I called the Home Depot store I purchased the appliances from and told them what had happened and that I need my appliances since I already moved them out for the New ones all I got is, "Let me make a phone call." No remorse. And I also tracked my shipment and it said to be delivered Saturday. I told the manager the only way that was acceptable is if I had refrigerator will be delivered also and he told me "there's not a magical warehouse that they can just get the refrigerator from". I called Home Depot everyday to make sure the return was in order and that it was going to be picked up. Everyday for 4 days their reps assured me everything was fine, and that it would be picked up between 8am and 8pm.
Today, the 5th day, I called again, because no one had come to pick it up. That's when the rep told me it was a purchase from a 3rd party vendor (what?!) and that the vendor would not pay for pick up. She patched in the UPS rep, (UPS outsources their cust. svc. to other countries) who said I could take the large, very heavy pkg. to the UPS store or wave down a UPS driver in my neighborhood. After I get home from work. Yeah, right. By the time I realized UPS was no help, the HD rep was off the line. So it boils down to HD not letting their customers know that their product is coming from another company, and for not taking responsibility for their bad choices. Now I have to find someone to lift the package into my car, so I can take it to the UPS location during my lunch hour, and hope there is someone who can carry the package out. Moving into a new house - need a washer and dryer. The delivery date was put 4 weeks out so we had to spend first 2 weeks without either. When they were delivered the delivery guys said there was a problem with the wall plug (receptacle), and that the dry works fine because when you jiggle the plug in the wall - the light comes on for a split second. I had him write it on the delivery receipt and then I signed the delivery receipt thinking that was enough proof. I missed the line on the receipt where the Driver was supposed to sign. He never signed, so I'm not sure if I can even use the receipt as proof of that person being here. In any case I had an electrician come to the house to check on the wall receptacle to see if it is functioning properly. He said that the problem is definitely with the machine (Dryer). My wife then call Home Depot Customer service and they get Samsung and the Delivery company on the phone to help.
Samsung provides only 2 options - go through the warranty department and get it fixed for free (which is eventually what we chose) or file a complaint with the delivery company and HD to have the dryer returned and a new one sent out to us. The delivery company representative (Forward Air Inc.) got upset at the Home Depot representative for asking on our behalf to see the delivery documentation and refused to help us. My wife will be calling to share her feedback with the delivery company that their drivers should not provide advice on whether or not an appliance is functioning as designed - they should always defer to the customer and take the machine back if it is not functioning properly. In any case I will be paying off this washer and dryer and any other charges on my HD credit card and then closing the account and shopping at Lowe's for the foreseeable future.
Why pay a company thousands of dollars to have them outsource a delivery and then NOT help you sort out the mess when their product does not work? I will be sharing this feedback with Home Depot as well. I know I can probably kiss the $150 for the electrician goodbye, but I'll ask all three companies anyway. I guess that's baseball. Samsung is not to blame (except for the defective product) - Home Depot is partially to blame (for outsourcing delivery and being unwilling to help when we purchased the product from them) - the Delivery Company is entirely to blame for offering advice on a product that they do not sell (they only sell their labor) - I am partially to blame for thinking that anything will ever go as planned in my life and assuming that "these guys do this all the time, it must be the wall plug". I will attempt to update this post if I can later on as the saga continues. There is still a broken dryer in my house. Miles to go before we sleep.

Parked in the middle of the street rather than backing into driveway. Invented several excuses such as... Cannot locate water shut-off, showed them where it was. Then they said it had to be next to water faucet per code. Drain line was too short; I suggested they use existing drain line. Called Home Depot, they set me up in their Pro Finder and I located someone else to come out to install.
They used existing shut-off and said there is no such code so long as there is a shutoff. They came prepared with longer drain hoses as that is a very common impediment, but used existing drain hose. Contacted Home Depot for remedy. They insisted I return the drain hose to the store for a refund. Same with installation kit. Well your 3rd party took them. Are they going to now come and haul away the old one. Certainly not. One of the main reasons for purchasing the appliance there was to get everything in 1 transaction. That is rubbish. Our ice maker broke down and it took nine times for a technician to figure out what actually was wrong. Each time a technician was called out and "worked" on everything imaginable. Nothing worked.
Finally the ninth call-out a technician said the problem was in the entire door and they would replace the door. They finally replaced the entire door with ice maker and the ice maker worked for only one year. It again stopped making ice and we called the extended warranty and they sent out another technician. We waited one week and after not having heard from the warranty company we called and they stated the technician never even got back with them and they assumed it was closed. My husband was livid and asked to speak with a manager. This is simply ridiculous. The repeated time taken off work for over 10 times now for a refrigerator's ice maker that simply will not work. We will NEVER buy a product from Home Depot as they do not honor the terms of the extended warranty. Go anywhere but Home Depot for your appliances.

Ordered a Maytag washer from Home Depot online. Bought the hoses, the drain hose, paid for the removal and earliest delivery was almost two weeks. Delivery guy came today and said 1. The drain hose couldn’t be hooked up because the washer is in the basement. Told him the salesman said it drains up to 8 feet. 2. He then said the hose was too long and he couldn’t install. 3. Gave him the old drain hose, he said he was only allowed to use new parts. 4. Told him installation was what I paid Home Depot for, he said he doesn’t work for Home Depot.
Tried to call HD customer service six different numbers and all I got was a recording saying delivery was scheduled for today. Finally called and followed prompt for new order and got a customer service rep. Canceled the order, refused delivery. Went online to C... ordered a machine and delivery is this Saturday - no charge for delivery, removal of old machine or parts. There you have it - one company gives service to its consumer and one company could care less. But I will give the HD customer service guy five stars since he reversed the charges on my HD credit card and said it should show up in 3-5 business days. Closing my HD credit card, just not worth the hassle.

I bought a washer and a dryer from Home Depot which they said they had 27 in stock. I had to wait 10 days to receive the shipment from the warehouse. Home Depot's, Ovation Delivery guys brought just the Dryer initially and said the Washer was on back order. When I called Home Depot Appliance section in Edmonton the salesperson started acting up and was not very helpful. Called Home Depot projects had to wait on the line for 30 minutes two times and had to wait on line for 15 minutes to get in touch with Customer Service Agent. Couldn't left a message. Contradicting statements from Home Depot stating the driver could not load the Washer since there was no space in the vehicle. Which was not what was stated before and the driver said the unit was back ordered. Agent at Home Depot said they would compensate me for the trouble.
Finally the Washer arrived at 6.30pm while my whole day was ruined just waiting for the appliances. Not a very good experience. Ovation/Home Depot gives a window of 4 hours to deliver was given 8.00am to 12.00pm. Did not deliver all the appliances and spent my whole day waiting for the appliances. Home Depot claims that the problem is not theirs but the Delivery people. How is that Home Depot does not take responsibility of their Delivery people whom they have contracted?

Bought a LG French door refrigerator with extended warranty. Home Depot states they will replace the refrigerator if it can't be fixed. We had problems right from the start with food not keeping temperature. This time, the unit was declared "unfixable" with a major electrical problem. We have been trying since June 17th to get Home Depot to honor it's promise of a new unit and we are not getting reimbursed for the defective unit. Do not bother to purchase the extended warranty - Home Depot does not honor its promise to replace your defective unit.

Called the next day to confirm they would bring the pedestal as well, because it was taken with the damaged unit. 3. 2 weeks later, unit delivered with NO pedestal...no apology, no one cared when called.
4. Redelivery of pedestal 1 week later- it was damaged, not even wrapped up on one side in truck had dents, scratches, and damaged legs. 5. Will have to wait another week to try again on delivery of new pedestal. But Home Depot doing NOTHING to make up for their bad service. 6. SO This will be my 4th time to have to wait the day and block the schedule so they can deliver something, I went 4 weeks without a washer/ dryer because of the lack of preparation and communication. Where do I begin? We purchased a new Whirlpool kitchen combo on 5/26/19. This consisted of a new dishwasher, stove, microwave, and fridge. We had an original delivery date of 6/22/19. We had some things come up and therefore pushed our deliver date out until 7/13/19. We removed all of our own appliances from our kitchen on Tuesday, 7/9/19 because we were also having new flooring put in by Home Depot on 7/11 & 7/12. Whelp, the kitchen combo never showed up on Saturday 7/13 and no one knew where it was!!!! To this day, we have not received an explanation as to why we never got our appliances on 7/13. We got the runaround from Home Depot and Whirlpool. On Tuesday, 7/16 we called Whirlpool because WE STILL HAD NOT HEARD ANYTHING!!!! And we're told it would be delivered the next day, 7/17/19.
Keep in mind, we both have full-time jobs and had to take two days off of work to have the flooring done, and we did not have any appliances for a week! Unacceptable customer service! AND we had been paying on our items since June! Now onto the washer and dryer. What a JOKE! We did get those items on 7/13, everything hooked up and guess what, dryer doesn't work! We were told we had to deal with Samsung directly if we wanted a new unit - As I am writing this review, we still do not have our new dryer. We are scheduled to FINALLY get it tomorrow, 7/23....biggest pain ever.
A company as big as Home Depot, Samsung, and Whirlpool can do better than this. Shame on all of you. Without your customers you have no business. We are more than likely going to cancel our Home Depot accounts and go with someone else that will go out of their way for their customers. We are in the year 2019... Things don't just "get lost" without an explanation and if a BRAND NEW DRYER doesn't work, the customer should get a spare in the interim until a new one can be brought to them. PERIOD. There really is just no excuse. You want good customer service then change your way of thinking and truly be there for your customers. Shannon and Lee ** of Meridian, Idaho.

Our delivery was scheduled for Monday morning 9am-1pm. Received confirmation the evening before. The morning of, we received a call at 9:30am that our delivery was being delayed because the truck was broke down and it couldn't be rescheduled until Wednesday morning. I had checked and there were 7 deliveries ahead of us. Why did it take until 9:30am to tell us that the truck basically never showed up to the warehouse to pick up the deliveries. I know this because I was offered the ability to pick up the item. I would have picked it up except they refused to put it on my vehicle for me. I would have had help at home, but not at warehouse...
I complained to them and Home Depot and got nowhere. Home Depot gave us a concession refund of $125 and promised the item would arrive on Wednesday and that we would be earlier on the schedule. That felt great and appropriate. Well, guess what, it's Wednesday morning (today) and I get another call that the item can't be delivered because the truck is broke down. WOW! I'm starting to think that they need better trucks or need to rent a truck. Turns out that they just have contractors as truck drivers and they neither Home Depot or this company have control over it. What a joke and waste of time and money! Again, I had to take off work, rearrange my schedule again, because of the confirmation the evening before, only to have it cancelled again last minute. This is beyond frustrating.
After going back and forth with Home Depot, and ForwardAir, I was given a $75 concession by ForwardAir and they promised my fridge would be delivered on Friday!! I have an infant and a 3 year old and a breastfeeding wife and have now been without a fridge for 1.5 weeks and Friday will almost make it 2 weeks, if THEY EVEN SHOW UP!! Which is at this point is completely a joke! I'm starting to think that the whole "the truck broke down gag" is just a lie to appease customers. Whether the driver called in sick or didn't show up because it was too hot, or they were overbooked, I'm pretty sure that they just kicked me to the curb again.
I have now taken off work twice and they want me to do it again on Friday and trust that they will show up! No thanks!! Instead I had a friend take off work, we rented a dolly from Uhaul and we went and picked up the dang thing ourselves. And they WOULDN'T EVEN HELP US LOAD IT IN THE TRUCK!! And when I called to have it set up for Will Call, the woman argued with me about it having been cancelled on Monday and today and said it was scheduled for friday. She was incredibly rude and told me that if it was cancelled, then I would have gotten my money back. It was completely uncalled for and unacceptable conduct. I just wish I would have gotten her name. I told her that semantics aside, it seems that they aren't able to deliver my fridge and I want to just pick it up myself.
I feel like someone in upper management needs to know to be fixing this problem and that if Home Depot is trusting this company to deliver goods for them, then they are in a lot of trouble. There need to be contingencies in place for when something like this happens. A local store could have sent two guys and a truck and a dolly to pick it up, just like I had to do and it would save a lot of trouble.
I promise, this is the LAST appliance that I will EVER purchase from Home Depot and everyone in my circle will know as well. After years of preferring Lowe's, I was actually warming up to home depot during this experience, prior to the delivery fiasco. I have lost at least 10 hours of work due to this, lost face with my boss, caused undue stress to my breastfeeding wife and myself, and more lost groceries, and more ice I had to purchase. I don't think I will ever trust you to successfully deliver something again. I hope this gets fixed in the long-term, for the sake of your business, but this was miserable. All of your Home Depot customer service people were very helpful and nice, but it was obvious that they really have no power to do anything to actually help me.

Appliances (Fridge, Dishwasher, and Range) were promised to be delivered on 7/11 (our 21 year anniversary) from 4-8 pm. So we cancelled our plans in anticipation for our new kitchen. Around 7:15 pm we received a call from the delivery guy saying they were running behind and there were at least 5 people in front of us. I told the delivery guy that I just wanted to know if they were going to come or not, but he would not commit either way. He just gave me the runaround saying he didn't know if they would be able to make it or not. Basically, he wanted ME to cancel the delivery, not him so that his paperwork would say the customer cancelled. So at 8:45 pm he calls back and says there were still 2 other customers front of me. So again, I ask if the delivery would still happen and once again he wanted ME to cancel. It's like he refused to say "We are running late and WE CAN'T deliver. I ended up canceling that day due to it being so late.
It would have been 11 or 12! So I had to call back the next day to reschedule. At this time the online confirmation said the appliances had been delivered. Well, that wasn't true! Since they only delivered in my area one day a week it was the next Thursday 7/18 before I could get at new appt. So for the next week I checked my online delivery appoint and it said Thurs 7/18 from 4-8. They updated the new delivery info! But on 7/17 when they called to confirm the appointment THEY had changed the time slot to 7-11 AM! So all week I had been arranging to be home from 4-8, but now they say 7-11 AM. I had been planning for the wrong time slot because of what it said online. When calling to change this or at least express my concern the customer service rep for the delivery company was rude and hateful and said that the time slot online was from the last week, not the new week. Makes sense right, the date was correct, but not the time.
The info online should have been correct! Unfortunately I could not rearrange another day for work so I had to call Home Depot to cancel. HOME DEPOT DID NOT CARE. THE DELIVERY COMPANY DID NOT CARE. It took me all of 3 minutes to cancel a $3,700.00 order and not one person asked why or was even the least bit concerned. I was gone in the click of a couple of buttons at Murfreesboro, TN Home Depot. Lots of time, energy, and frustration wasted on Home Depot. I am so disappointed and angry.

On the morning of 7/12 I hadn’t heard from Home Depot, so I called them only to find out my delivery had been rescheduled. I was never notified of this and I was not available that day. The rep just breezed past that part and wanted to know and made some vague reference to “maybe getting you some kind of compensation”. Not an amount or a commitment, just a passing mention. At this point I did not feel I could trust their word to either deliver the dishwasher or make any provisions for their errors so I asked for a refund. I was told that would take 2 weeks. When getting ready to install the dishwasher we noticed the door wouldn't close, we opened it and realized the basin was dented on the inside back bottom and top and there was in fact a dent in the back that was perfect straight line that was overlooked (most likely because it looks like part of the design). Since it was after 48 hours Home Depot has washed their hands off the problem. They refuse to exchange the dishwasher because their policy is 48 hour return on appliances (who realistically installs all their appliances within 48 hours of delivery??).
The advice I got from Home Depot is to go through the manufacturer and have a repair person look at it. The repair person came out and said there is nothing he could do. We then had a lengthy conversation about how of all the appliance vendors Home Depot has the worst customer service and frequently delivers damaged appliances. I purchased a refrigerator and five year protection plan and uploaded the receipts and documentation. The refrigerator now needs a third repair for the same problem. I spent two hours on the phone with Home Depot trying to schedule a repair but was not able to because Home Depot "randomly selects" customers to review and research, requiring them to re-provide the receipts and documentation (that was already submitted and used for the previous two repairs) in order to schedule a repair. This review takes three days after you re-provide your receipts before you can call back in to try and schedule the repair. The interesting thing is that while on the two hour call last night I heard a recorded voice tell me several times to upload my receipts now so I won't have to "worry about lost or faded receipts"... Unless you are randomly selected four years after your purchase to find those faded receipts, upload them and wait for the review.

Purchased an electric hot water heater to replace my old one, asked for the install through their contractor. Got a call from a number with no caller I'd info. Had a nice lady who stated they would be sending someone out for an estimate, she also mentioned having to pull permits. Now having rehashed homes in the past I questioned her about the permits. My State doesn't require a permit to replace a water heater as long as it is 1 not moved to another location and is not a conversion from electric to gas. I knew that I didn't need a permit and told her so where she lied to me saying code had changed. I scheduled the guy to come out for a quote. Then proceeded to call both the county and state to check if the code had changed. It had not, as long as the existing heater was at code I didn't need to pull permits or have a state inspector come out.
I then got a call from the guy who was supposed to come out for the quote. He sounded as if he wasn't interested in coming out and asked some questions. I answered them, he then told me to start. The install best case scenario with no problems was going to cost 779.00. I responded I had already purchased the heater and to be safe new lines even though the lines on my old one are pristine. I live in a hard water area my old 10 years hot water heater had no issues that I was replacing before it became an issue. Was that just the cost of install or all inclusive. NOPE just the install. He explained the permits and inspectors fee was over half of the total cost, that's when I informed him I had already verified that neither were necessary. He basically told me I didn't know what I was talking about. I then told him that had a permit been required it was only 30 dollars.
He then started in on a list of extras he was legally obligated to put in to bring my house to code, I told him none were necessary as I knew my house was code as I had already contacted the last plumber who replaced the heater just prior to me buying my house had planned on him doing the work but he had retired. I had also had other plumbers give me quotes on replacement with them providing the tank it was around 800 total being the highest. He told me good luck. I couldn't possibly get an insured and bonded plumber for that price.
So between my purchasing the hot water heater and his install quote I was at a bit over 1300 dollars, I called Home Depot cancelled the order told them what a scammer the installation company was and hired another plumber who installed the exact water heater charged me 100 more for the unit and 65 dollars per hour labor. My total cost was under 700 dollars less than 79 dollars the scammers wanted to charge for just the install and I saved 448 dollars on the unit I purchased from Home Depot. Buyer beware check the info they give you to make sure it's not a pressure to charge you more for products or services that are not needed.
They claimed a plumber could give the same warranty as Home Depot, it's the company that manufactures the product that has a limited warranty, not Home Depot and how good is it when it's not HomeDepot doing the work but referrals to their preferred contractors (or preferred scammers). I just wonder how many older people have been had for paying an inflated quote. Remember he said 779 minimum. I imagine the sky would be the limit depending on the location and appearance of the home and how much money he could get out of them, Disgusting. I did leave a negative feedback on their page. This is the second time I had issues. The first was resolved when I contacted the corporate office. This issue isn't directly due to any misrepresentation of Home Depot just who they choose to delegate Business to.

We thought it would be a one stop shop to pay for everything and have the peace of mind. Far away from it! The moment you pay you will have to deal with what they call Home Depot Project Center. That is a glorified term for a call center with incompetent rude and unprofessional staff, all they do they defer you to the installation guy and the delivery guy. Very poor quality service. Our experience was worse than a nightmare.
First dishwasher arrived, broken. The second was supposed to come between 8 to 12 noon, but it arrived at 10PM without any notification before, or any apologies after. Then the installation guy showed up a few days later to look briefly at our kitchen cabinet and said, oh you are 1/8 of an inch short, so I can't install it! An obvious attempt to make a project for himself. I returned the whole thing, went back to the store and bought a floor unit, rented their truck and took it home, and installed it that evening all by myself, all said and done in less than 3 hrs. Home Depot did not make any efforts to make things right. I am extremely disappointed. Do your research, try to find another merchant to stand behind their products. If you have to buy from Home Depot, never ever get the additional services they offer.

I never thought I would have such an issue ordering a dishwasher from Home Depot. I wish I could give negative stars. I ordered on May 25th. The earliest they could deliver was June 11th. I was sick when I received it, but upon initial inspection it looked fine. I went to install it on the weekend a few days later with the help of my dad. That is when we noticed that one side had a bracket that was completely bent as if they had dropped it off a truck. This caused the door to not open all the way. I called Home Depot and they told me there was nothing they could do about it as 48 hours had passed. They told me that I would have to get it repaired under warranty.
I had a repairman come out today and he was able to get the door opening by hitting the bracket with a hammer for 10 minutes. After he left, I went to move the dishwasher when the bottom metal plate popped off on that side. I then saw that the leg was bent sideways. I called the repairman back and he says they would have to come take a look at it again, but that they wouldn't be able to come out again until Tuesday.
He said the metal bracket is part of the tub so if they are unable to fix it he would order a tub, but I think what they mean by fix it, is hit it with a hammer some more. He said if they had to order a tub, it would likely take 3-4 weeks. For the time being I have a $900 paperweight. I am beyond annoyed. When buying a high end appliance, I expect new and functional. Not something that looks like I bought it used off Craigslist. I have no idea if and when I'll have a functional dishwasher or if other components were damaged possibly shortening the life of the dishwasher.

I called Appliance delivery to ask them to send someone else to install my dryer, to wish I was promised to send someone over on June 20th. At 6pm I called again to ask when these people will be here and to my surprise they didn't sent anyone to my home to install my dryer. I am so disappointed, so angry, so aggravated with appliance delivery!!! If I could give ZERO star I would!

Bought an appliance suite at Home Depot. Whirlpool - Dishwasher, range, refrigerator, microwave $2400.00. The salesperson was extremely nice. They delivered my appliances 1 month later, charged me $159.00 - only Included installing the range and refrigerator. I installed the dishwasher and tried to install the microwave myself as they were going to charge me an additional $250.00 per item to install. The microwave was missing parts; no brackets attached to microwave —couldn’t attach! I asked to exchange, their answer was No. I asks to return it for a refund. Again, their answer was No. I asked if they would come help me install it (maybe they had a professional who could help me somehow adjust and make it fit as they would not exchange it). Their answer was No. Terrible customer service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HOME DEPOT WHATSOEVER! I will NEVER SHOP HOME DEPOT AGAIN. I will go to Lowe’s as I should have in the first place.

I told delivery driver of change of address and he stated to call back Home Depot to have the contact delivery service of change and to call him directly. After two more calls, another manager stated they contact the delivery driver and since new delivery address was only 8 blocks away that it would be no problem.
After 20 minutes, delivery driver called and said he was told that he could not deliver to different address and rescheduling would be done and it would be another week for delivery. In the past, had same problems, I just annotated delivery driver's copy of delivery and initial after contacting company to legally exonerate the delivery driver and the company for change of delivery-a simple fix. Yet, Home Depot does not commit to customer satisfaction or veterans, like myself, or customers in general! They spent more money having item returned, for storage space and possible liability for damage while awaiting another delivery date. Plus 800# for Major Appliance Department has no option to speak to a customer representative!

We purchased a dishwasher during the Memorial Day sale and when doing so we were offered a $25.00 discount if we opened a Home Depot credit card. We agreed but upon receiving our first statement the discount was not applied. Upon calling Customer Service on 6/03/19 we were apologized to by a Rep by the name of Casey and he assured us that the discount would be applied the next billing cycle. We proceeded to pay the balance in full minus the $25.00 on the advice of Customer Service. I called today, 6/17/19 to make sure the account was paid and was told we have a $25.00 balance. Upon asking to speak to a Supervisor we were connected to Samantha and her response was that since we were given a 10% discount due to Memorial Day sale we were not eligible for any other promotion. This is absolute fraud on the part of Home Depot.
We did not ask to open a credit card on the day of sale but was advised by a Home Depot employee that in doing so we would save an additional $25.00. This was also confirmed the fist time we contacted Home Depot. Samantha was unwilling to to honor the discount promised and could care less about what we were promised by her company. This is incredibly poor business practice and in the future we will go out of our way to shop at Lowe's before ever spending another dime at Home Depot. I requested Samantha to cancel our credit card immediately and all she could say was if you do that you will not be eligible to open another one in the future. So I guess threats and fraud is Home Depot’s way of doing things.

Unfortunately, I can't write a finished review. All I can do is write what is happening so far because I'm still waiting. I purchased a top of the line KitchenAid Stove from the Waterbury Store In November and it is now June and I'm having electrical issues. Since I can't cook I called to have them send a repair person out to see what the issue is that is causing my stove to shut off while trying to cook. It can be a fire risk so I have to be safe. Well, the first time I called they told me a repair person would call me to make an appointment to assess my stove. Ok. No call. I waited four days thinking I may have missed the call. So I called Home Depot back to see if someone was coming and they said I have to call the manufacturer. Then they couldn't give me the number or find my name and purchase in the computer.
Now I have to bring my paperwork and have them look at that. On the original delivery, they delivered the wrong model and asked if I wanted to send it back but at this point I was already unable to cook for a week. Now 7 months later after purchasing a new top brand stove it's as if I never bought anything and I'm back in the same situation unable to cook. I'm still waiting to resolve this. Unbelievable how they couldn't just give me a number to call. I'm hoping to have everything done to my satisfaction so I could write a better review if that ever happens. Anne.

Went online Saturday, June 8th, to purchase a new gas grill from the Home Depot which is only about 10-15 miles from me. I was unsure whether the grill would fit in my mid-sized SUV so I paid the extra $20 for "express delivery" and to receive it the same day - Saturday June 8th. At checkout it stated that the delivery could be anytime between 10:00 am and 8:00 pm.
So, I sat around my house all day yesterday, Saturday June 8th, and kept my cellphone handy in case the delivery driver called. 1 pm, 2 pm, 4 pm, 6 pm, 8 pm... no delivery. No text, no call. I check the status using their online process and it shows that it is out for delivery. 9 pm... nothing. I call Home Depot's 1-800 number and a nice young lady says she will check on it. I'm on hold several minutes and she comes back on the line and says that she has a couple of possible answers.
1. Due to traffic (I'm in Oklahoma City...traffic issues? LOL) they may just be running late and could still end up delivering the grill as late as 11:00 pm.
2. If I don't have it by noon on Monday, June 10th, to call Home Depot back.
REALLY? So, I paid the extra $20 for express same day delivery, which didn't happen. I sat around my house all day Saturday to be there for delivery which didn't happen... And I now have to wait until Monday??? Wow. Not even a call or a text from anyone to tell me that it wasn't being delivered as promised. Of course HD will tell me that they use an outside delivery carrier and it isn't their fault. Yeah... it really is. I specifically asked him if he didn’t have a longer cord with him. He told me no, that I had to call an electrician and have him pull the wire down from the plug on top of the counter and install a plug on the wall behind the dishwasher. He left the dishwasher in the crate, unopened, in the entry of my Condo. It was nearly 5:00. I was number 12, the last delivery. Now I have to wait another 7 days for the dishwasher to be set up. He found a live wire in front of the dishwasher lying on the floor. He connected it to a double plug commercial box and left the box sitting on the floor in front of the old dishwasher. Then he charged me $296.51. I asked him if he installed the new lug that trips if it comes in contact with water. He said “No, that is not needed yet. Even called the office to confirm that was correct. Now I have to wait for another 7 days for the dishwasher to be set up in working order. I made a purchase from the York Home Depot for a stove and refrigerator. A day later I bought the microwave to match. First off one day made such a big deal that Home Depot refused to combine my orders on the same delivery truck. That started off the bad taste in my mouth. Secondly was the big issue. I received a call the day before my delivery was due to be delivered and was told the driver will be out between 2 and 6 pm. Ok, that was great... However I waited all day from 2pm and by the time 6 pm rolled around I called customer service to see where the driver was and if he was delayed. Notice I never received a phone call to tell me he would be late. When I called the first red flag was, "We have no idea where the driver is!" Second they kept me on hold for almost 20 minutes trying to track down the delivery truck and driver. No truck, No Driver!
Third, the delivery truck and driver is MIA! How do you not know where your drivers are. Shouldn't you have a dispatch and tracking system like most valuable companies do? So it's now 9:52PM and they still have no clue where or what happened to the driver and the truck. Home Depot stated "We are unable to locate our truck and our driver". This is totally unacceptable. I said, can we reschedule my delivery and I wanted a refund for the delivery charges. Home Depot tells me when the delivery arrives I can refuse it. They are giving me some numbers to call tomorrow to complain about my experience. REALLY!!! Now, if I refuse the delivery all together there's so much red tape to go through to get my money back and it will take 30 days. NO, this is ridiculous. Reorder my appliances and send them out the next day and refund my delivery fees. I will never have anything delivered or purchased from Home Depot again when it comes to major appliances.
This is not their first screw up, they did it to my neighbor as well. Who hires drivers like this? It worries me that I am relying on this person to install my "GAS" stove. Home Depot uses LG logistics to deliver their appliances purchased from the Noblesville Indiana store. This company does not communicate with Home Depot and vice a versa. When they showed up they informed us the washer and dryer were to already be removed. I paid $40 for both appliances to be removed. Why would I take them out into the garage when I am single and cannot move those types of items? They went ahead and removed them and says this happens all of the time.
Furthermore, after installing the washer I complained that it did not look level. They told me to wash a load and it would level out. I got A level out and demonstrated how uneven it was and that I was not going to live with that. They told me the washer legs were not adjustable on my model. After looking through the installation manual it is one of the first things that are to be done. Leveling of the washer is extremely important. I found a piece of wood out in the garage and they lifted it up and stuck it under the legs and it was level. However the wood sticks out way beyond my washer. How stupid are these people? The legs are adjustable for leveling as an idiot would know.
Also damaged my folding doors and knocked them off track. Couldn’t get them to close after putting them back on track and had to have somebody come out and fix them. For starters... 200 degrees for 10 minutes is not going to clean an oven! I was instructed to clean it every few weeks and it wouldn’t be a problem. I have been doing this and when the cycle is done there is nothing but greasy water in the bottom which has to be soaked up with a sponge, which then becomes saturated with grease. The sides and bottom of the oven are still coated with grease and then I love to spend the next 2+ hours with soap and vinegar trying to clean the oven. Talk about going back to the dark ages! I purchased a Samsung dishwasher a couple years ago, along with the rest of my kitchen and laundry room. Extended warranties on all items. The dishwasher in particular has been a thorn in my side. Three claims over the past year and half for the LC (leak?) error code, three repairs. During my third claim, I called the store of purchase and pleaded with them to help me procure a usable dishwasher. They stated they could do nothing for me, I had to continue to go through Asurion for repairs.
Last week my fourth claim went in, hoping to just get a refund under the (clearly stated) Lemon Policy. The technician came out yesterday and verified the issue was indeed the same as prior visits, and he informed Home Depot (or Asurion). Today I am told that I will not be receiving a refund because the dishwasher is under Samsung's warranty and they simply transferred me to Samsung support to schedule yet ANOTHER technician visit. At this point I just want a refund on the dishwasher, and the extended warranty because it is completely useless now. Shame on Home Depot for offering such a horrible extended warranty and even being associated with Asurion. Now I am stuck without a dishwasher until yet another service call gets scheduled. I'm sure this will require yet another day away from the office to babysit the technician while they assess the issue and order another part... Then another day to install another part. The saga continues.

Writing about my 2 experiences with Home Depot installers. The first was last year when we bought an over the range microwave. Delivery was scheduled for a Wednesday, and we were told that we had to remove the old unit. So I did that Tuesday evening. Wednesday morning we get a call that the microwave didn't come in, and won't be delivered until Saturday. Remember the over the range part? I had milk crates holding up the cabinets over the microwave, so couldn't put the stove back until the install done. Three days of no hot meals besides toast.
Install crew comes out Saturday, bring in microwave, ask me to sign for it. Say they were never told to install it. Showed them the receipt saying install paid for, they called someone and argued on the phone, then put the microwave up. Afterwards, they ask if we want the box. Nope. They then took some stuff out and said they were "extra parts". I didn't realize that the vent damper was extra, but I guess it is when you leave it taped shut (found that out when HD sent out another installer, who, per the store manager, "goes around and fixes the problems when the outside crews do installs."
So, we needed some new windows in the house. HD running a special on windows installed, so I ordered them and put 25 percent down. Set up a delivery date and time. Get the robocall every day for a week reminding me of the install info, and have everything ready when they get there. Supposed to arrive between 9-11am, I call my "project manager" at noon, never got a callback. Call the 800 number at 1230, the woman tries to contact the installer but he's not answering his phone. She confirmed the delivery date and time as being correct. Get a call from a district manager at 130 telling me that the installer, after coming to the house to verify the measurements, never submitted his paperwork. Delivery date and time to be determined, and oh yeah, one of the windows to be replaced broke yesterday and won't close, but that's not their problem.

The worst part is the refrigerator. It is beautiful but Samsung put a defective ice maker in their refrigerator. We have had 2 repairmen out twice already for refrigerator and once for microwave. Our issue was installation: The microwave was installed by the trucking company that delivered our appliances. The microwave was damaged beyond repair during the installation. Home Depot told us that we would receive a new replacement for the damaged microwave by about May 20, 2019. When we called Home Depot in May 2, 2019, HD said there were none of our model LG Microwave in stock and did not know when they would have them in stock!
In short, HD told us to buy a microwave from another distributor and they would refund our microwave from our HD store account! They told me instead of bringing the old one in house they would leave it and send a new one. While placing it in space it was a little tight. They gave me a date for delivery of a new one. I received call the day before and minutes before the delivery they called to say it was never put on truck.
I then received a call from their warehouse and was told that they had never received it from the manufacturer. They set up delivery date for another delivery. I then say what are they going to do about my refrigerator that they damaged. They said that I would have to call the delivery company that they sub and file claim. Of course no one could give me that info. When I finally got their info I placed many calls in over a year. No one ever returned my calls. I finally gave up. I forgot to mention mention that the 1st time they made a delivery a delivery to my home the year before they tore up my brand new linoleum and was going to leave. FIRST of all, we kindly asked to remove his dirty shoes or wear “boot socks” before coming upstairs to my laundry room, he gives a clearly reply saying “NO we cannot do this as it is Home Depot policy.” I clearly called the head office to ask what policies Home Depot has and she had told us he is allowed to wear boot socks over his shoes. Second, this Home Depot location did not provide us with ALL the necessary detailed such as, not telling us that we have to remove all the pipes from our old laundry washing machine by ourself and how we can not use a old pedestal for our new machine. He kept on saying “He’s a busy worker and has 20 orders after us and this is wasting his time” when in reality it was a waste of our time and money. We payed for shipping and handling and service fees for installation.
When they came to deliver it they were the RUDEST PEOPLE I have EVER met. He brought the machine to my driveway and started to leave until my sister said that we PAYED for installation and then he had started to say “NO, SHOW ME THE BILL” acting like we were lying to him. When my dad showed him the bill his eyes opened up and started walking upstairs WHERE he BROKE our CHANDELIER and didn’t say anything about it until my sister saw him KICK IT TO THE SIDE. (What kind of customer service is this?)
When getting to the laundry room he PUSHED my dad to the side (which is ASSAULT) and started to remove the pipes from my laundry room when he could have done this from the beginning. He insulted me infront of my neighbourhood by yelling at me and he left my laundry machine unhooked without installing my new laundry washing machine. He gave us a very hard time. I would NOT recommend anyone to purchase any type of appliances from this location as after we had told the store manager this has happened, nothing was done to meet customer satisfaction. If I could give a 0 in this review I REALLY would.

Let me start off by saying that I understand that the Delivery/Installation company is contracted through HD, and not actually employed by HD and that they have minimal control over these companies practices, but they need to rethink their partnership with the people they are choosing to represent their company. We just had our THIRD terrible experience buying a major appliance from Home Depot. The first one was a refrigerator when we moved into our new house. It is French door style stainless and one of the doors had a huge dent. Luckily it was just cosmetic and they were able to install it and just came back later to replace the door with a new one.
The second time, the dishwasher in our rental property was starting to show its age and was on its last legs, so we replaced it for our renters. Thank God it was still somewhat functioning, because relying on Home Depot's delivery service to be prompt is a joke. The whole ordeal was almost THREE WEEKS. We waited about a week for it to be delivered. It arrived and of course it was damaged. Not minor damage, but the whole front was caved in like it was literally dropped from the truck onto the ground.
Obviously delivery was refused. So then they give us another date for the following week. I call Home Depot to dispute this, asking why they cannot expidite it in some way since we've already waited a week and it was not our fault that it arrived damaged. Why should we pay the price for their screw up? HD basically told me that they have nothing to do with the company and they have no control over it. Basically just told me to kick rocks. I asked if she could put a note that if there was a cancellation in the schedule before our delivery date if they could call and put us on early. She said she would. Not surprisingly we didn't receive a call before our scheduled day. So delivery day #2 comes, it's uncrated, luckily looks great.
They get to installing and tell our renter that they can't install it because of a plumbing issue that was apparently not code. Ok, I understand that. They have protocols. They have to follow to cover themselves. I get that. They told us to have a plumber fix the issue and they will come back (in almost another week) to install it. To just Install it. No appliance on the truck to unload. Just 10min to install a dishwasher. I spoke with a plumber that was able to get out there THE SAME DAY and fix the problem. I had asked if he could just install it instead of having the delivery company come back and he told me that to have him do it would be a lot more expensive and that we were better off just having them come back to do it since we already paid the $20 for the installation. So we waited. FINALLY after almost 3 weeks the dishwasher was installed.
We should have learned our lesson after this, but we went with HD again after our old washing machine broke last week. I looked at several different appliance stores including Lowe's and some of the online only ones. The others were either 2 weeks out for delivery, charged shipping, or were more expensive. HD was a week for delivery. For some reason I didn't look at Best Buy until AFTER we ordered through HD because it is not the first place I think of when I think of appliances, and they're usually more expensive. I was disappointed we didn't, because they deliver 2 days out from time of order (in our area, anyway. Apparently there's a warehouse close by). They also deliver on Saturdays, and the washer is actually the same price through them. If we had ordered through them we would have had the washer 2 days later.
But whatever. We already ordered it. So we'll give HD one more chance. I told my boyfriend that if they screwed it up this time we were done. That we were canceling it and ordering from Best Buy. So, washer was scheduled to be delivered Thursday (yesterday; at the time of writing. For context.) Got the call Wednesday confirming delivery. My boyfriend took work off for Thursday to accept delivery. So Thursday morning he gets a call at 10am stating that the driver had an emergency and they were cancelling our delivery and rescheduling it for Monday. Which means for the second week in a row we have to go to the laundromat to do our laundry because we don't have any clean clothes for the following work week.
Don't get me wrong, I have a heart. I hope the driver is ok of course. But to cancel deliveries that people have waited most likely over a week for and taken off work for? No. You put those deliveries on another truck and another driver just has to work a little bit later that day. That is what any other company would do. This was the last straw. I got on the Best Buy website, went through the ordering prompts, and they had openings for Saturday for delivery. Same price we paid at Home Depot for the washer, installation, haul away, everything. We called Home Depot, cancelled our order, and ordered through Best Buy.
Never again will we order another appliance through Home Depot. We will still shop at their stores. But as far as anythin#g not carried in store, especially anything big and expensive that has to be delivered. Never again. Home Depot: these contractors you are hiring are bringing your name and company down. The proof is in the reviews. PLEASE make a change.

I bought new appliances from Home Depot. The staff in the Department was wonderful. The calamity with the delivery was absurd. I was called by the delivery people on March 30 to tell me that my microwave arrived damaged and they would not deliver it. They said they could not get another until April 10. The remaining appliances were delivered by rude delivery men. After my dishwasher was connected it was found to be not working. I called Home Depot and they were going to get another but, I had to wait until the 10th. Apparently there is no stock of any appliances in FL. They all have to be shipped from the abyss at a glacial pace.
Now we are at the 10th and no appliances yet. I am told by the store that they have not arrived. Then l was told they are in the warehouse but can’t be delivered until hell freezes over. Next, I am told they are not even in the area. Nobody knows what is going on and communication with me is not happening. Finally, I insist that the nonworking dishwasher be picked up so that my new counters can be installed and the old countertop can be removed without damaging the dishwasher. It took 3 days for Home Depot to figure out how to pick it up.
Meanwhile, Home Depot is telling me I cannot possibly have my appliances until the April 23. The delivery people keep changing the appointment day to the one day of the week that I am always gone even after I tell them 4 times. Finally, they change the delivery day to another day but, nobody tells me. After a few times I started getting angry. The end of the story, Home Depot refunded my money for the dishwasher and will give me the dishwasher with installation. The delivery people have to deliver them to the store and the manager will bring them to my home. This entire goat rope will never happen again. I will buy from Home Depot but not appliances. They need to learn to properly communicate with customers and they absolutely need to change delivery companies.

It took us 4 weeks to get our LG Fridge/Freezer to work. We had purchased an extended warranty when we bought the LG from Home Depot. It stopped working and we called to report it. The service company hired by HD had no record of us, so we had to fax info that we had purchased the unit and had an extended warranty. Then they couldn't find anyone to service us!! They told us to find our own service people!!! Which we did within 5 mins using the computer. To make a long frustrating story shorter.... it was fixed 4 weeks after reporting it. That is 4 weeks without a fridge or freezer!!!! Shame on Home Depot for using such a terrible service company that are unprofessional and don't know what customer service is!! We will never purchase another appliance from Home Depot and we will make sure everyone we know hears our story!!! Buyer beware!!!

I own a property management company and own 28 apartments. I order appliances often. I recently ordered a dishwasher from Home Depot on 4/7/19. I noticed the address on the order was wrong and for some reason the delivery zip code defaulted to the zip code on my Home Depot account. I called Home Depot delivery at 1-800-455-3869 and was told to call GE delivery service (wrong info as usual). I called GE delivery and I was told they would make the correction and no problem on the delivery. The delivery never came. I called GE back and I was informed that I need to call Home Depot. Round and round we go. I called Home Depot home delivery and they told me they would iron out the zip code on the delivery, reschedule for another day and call me back by end of business day on 4/12/19. Nothing happened and I never heard a word.
I called Home Depot delivery again and I was informed that I have to call GE delivery on Monday 4/14/19 to finally rectify getting the dishwasher to the correct address. (another lie) I finally escalated it with a huge battle and found out that the original order needed to be cancelled by a Home Depot rep and another dishwasher would have to be ordered. The whole process would have to be started all over again. Representatives who work for Home Depot home delivery are clueless and there is major training issues and customer service problems with Home Depot Home delivery. They have no idea what they are doing nor do they care about customers and quality customer service. There is no One Call Resolution. They are horrendous and will now lose me as a customer. What a waste of my valuable time!!!!

3/20 I ordered appliances range, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher to be delivered 3/25. Paid for everything and left the store oblivious to the frustration I had just created!!! 1. 3/25 Appliance delivery never showed up...no call no show they claimed I was mot home. When I called Home Depot they said they had no control as they use a 3rd party delivery service. 2 hours of on hold later I finally convince the delivery to return 3/26. 2. 3/26 they show up, remove all old appliances; install dishwasher and range and microwave, tell me the fridge will not fit and basically leave me with no fridge. 3. I notice microwave is damaged (it looks like they dropped it) while I am cleaning up all the drilling mess they left... Several trips to Home Depot later Home Depot sells me a new Whirlpool fridge and schedules my replacement microwave for 4/1.
4. 4/1 they arrive with the fridge but alas, no microwave. 5. Several hours on hold, they agree to come out with replacement microwave, which they damaged, 4/4. 6. 4/9 no show again, they claimed again I was not home as I am sitting on my couch calling them. 2 more hours on phone with Samsung and Home Depot. Home Depot manager agrees to call me back 4/10. 7. 4/10 after several attempts to contact Home Depot I call Samsung and maybe a microwave will be delivered 4/20.
