I bought appliance package Feb 15 2021, and at time of purchase didn't notice delivery time was scheduled for April 26, I called and rescheduled a earlier delivery time for March 3, took day off from work and appliances never showed up, I called Home Depot and was told the delivery company never received the appliances, and delivery time was reset for April 30. I just don't think is fair for people to pay for things they won't be able to use in my case until after over two months. I will be updating this review after April 30.

Fair Warning... This is an Opinion. NEVER under any circumstances should you buy an appliance, especially a washer at the Home Depot. Completely incompetent, unprofessional to the point I threw the delivery guy out of my house when he started taking pictures and wanting me to sign for something he did not install.
The story. We bought a new washer online, it said it came with free installation. OK, great. It is being delivered by JB Hunt, not a professional plumber these days... just a delivery company... that they tell me is licensed and qualified to do the install, but they don't want to install... because it is going on the second floor and requires a drain pan to be installed. I had the drain pan there, which simply needed the hole drilled out of the pan and the drain plug screwed in and then put down into the outflow pipe in the floor. Now rightly or wrongly, I assume when they tell me “everything is included, there is nothing I have to do.” I assume that 5-10 minutes is included. It is not.
OK, I’m a little pissed at this point but I tell the driver if he can give me about 10-15 minutes to gather my tools, I can put the drain pan in... I mean I could have done it yesterday or this morning, but “everything is included,” so I hadn't done it. He tells me he don’t have time to wait, he will just leave the machine and I can pay a plumber to do the work. "No," I tell him, "you are supposed to do the install." At that point as he is talking, he pulls out his phone and starts taking pictures of the install area and tells me he will hook it up, but I have to sign a form saying that if it leaks, I will be responsible. Responsible for what? If he puts a hose on wrong or loose, or if the machine is faulty and leaks, I’m going to be responsible?
I tell him I'm not signing anything. He can either hook it up, or take the machine back with him. Instead, he called someone on the phone who told me there was nothing she could do and they needed me to either sign for him to hook it up, or they would just leave the machine there and I need to call a plumber and pay for that. What? Free install? What does that mean? To Home Depot, apparently it means plugging in the machine and screwing two hoses into place. Hoses by the way they required us to buy in addition to the machine, when our old stainless steel hoses would have been just fine.
So because he couldn't wait 10-15 minutes for me to install the drain pan... and as he started once again to take more pictures, I told him to get out of my house and if he took one more picture, I was going to take his phone and literally throw him out... I now considered him trespassing. Did I forget to mention they knocked the pictures off my wall bringing the machine in and didn't even apologize or ask if they were Ok. Luckily for them, the pictures were fine.
After phone calls to Home Depot’s escalation department, I'm told the unit cannot be returned unless it is defective. The word buyer's remorse was used. I don’t have buyer's remorse, I need the washing machine but I want it hooked up like its supposed to be or I want to return it and I'll buy one from a more reputable service company. "Too bad," I'm told. "No returns. Call the local store and talk to the manager," I'm told. So I did that.
That was several hours ago and I still haven’t heard back. No one... not a single solitary soul who I spoke to at Home Depot gives a flying .... about their customers... so I can assure you, I am never setting foot in a Home Depot again. Don’t worry, I have installed the drain pan myself, hooked up the washer and the first load is in. It is all easy enough to do ones self... but that is not the point. No one should have to deal with the ignorance I encountered today... from both the people at JB Hunt Trucking and Home Depot. Consider yourselves warned.

Ordered a Laundry Dryer and asked was it in stock. Was told yes and could deliver in 7 days. They call late night before to tell me it didn't get on the truck, must reschedule. I reschedule, they never call me the day before, so at 8pm I call them, get shifted around then I am told they are waiting for it to come into warehouse, so I will have to reschedule... Different story each time. That was a lie, they did not have product in stock, so the story is still not resolved. Disappointed in Home Depot. Consumer Affairs is likely complicit because they have not given Home Depot a rating, the store has been around for years.

Today delivery set 11-3... no show/no call + the delivery company would not answer!! Spent 2 hrs on phone with HD, eventually speaking to corporate they could not get in touch with delivery company. They did nothing... 2 different dates, EXACT same problem and HD has no number to call them!!!! Run away from HD. They could not give any level of support and could not care a less. GO TO LOWE'S, GO TO BEST BUY... read the god awful reviews... stay away from HD!

Don't order a large appliance from Home Depot, unless you take it with you at the time of payment and are capable of installing it yourself. If you decide to let them deliver, plan on being at the upper limit of angry before they leave. After my experience, I'll never buy anything at HD that I can't carry out in a plastic bag. We ordered a Frigidaire electric range and requested delivery on 2/25/2021. The salesman in the store told us very specifically the delivery crew was supposed to inspect, install and verify operations before I accept the order. The crew called 30 minutes before they arrived and said, "We're just dropping it off, right?" I told them what the salesman said they were supposed to do before we accepted the range. They acted like that was the first time they'd every been asked to assemble and plug in an appliance, and acted like they were in a footrace throughout the delivery, asking repeatedly for me to sign the order as delivered.
When I finally insisted they show me how to operate it and verify it was working correctly, I found out they were just furniture carriers and knew even less about the range than I did. They didn't know out how to turn on the various functions or adjust temps, etc., and just started pushing every button they could find until something finally lit up. After they couldn't figure out why the plug didn't fit properly into a freshly installed 220v outlet, I told them to unplug and leave the range in the middle of the kitchen and I would put it in position myself, because as bad as they were trying to make it work, I sure didn't want them trying to make it fit into a tight opening. When I got ready to move it into position (after they left), I noticed the ground pole on the plug was bent.
Fast forward to today, 3/4/2021 when I received a call from a woman at HD wanting to get more info about why I had written their delivery team a bad review. She left a voicemail about 11:30 and I tried to reach her 5 minutes later on the number she had provided. For the next hour, I heard nobody knew how to reach her, had another guy try to help and dropped the call, three more people in succession who assured me they could help and couldn't, and finally at 11:25, was assured by the last non-helpful person that the lady who had originally called would call me back within 15 minutes. After waiting exactly an hour for her 15 minutes to elapse, I called in again -- three times, to get more people who knew nothing and requested the exact same info I had provided to the earlier people who didn't help.
I finally got an alleged supervisor on the line who recited an obviously memorized "apology" and assured me that the bent plug wasn't a safety hazard, completely disregarding all the stuff his delivery crew had pulled. It's obvious HD doesn't hire trained people or train the ones they hire. The only thing MORE obvious is that their whole approach to dealing with dissatisfied customers is to give them a couple minutes of corporate doublespeak and get off the phone even faster than the delivery crew gets out the door. My best advice is if you want to order anything for delivery from HD, go to Lowes and save yourself the headaches.

We ordered a gas range that was to be delivered on 02/18/2021 and they came to deliver it but due to the pending inspection they said that we should reschedule the delivery for another day which then came out to be 02/25/2021 and the guys left with the range. On 02/25/2021 the guys came without the range just for installation, I guess because in their system it was marked as delivered by the guys who came previously, so we were again told that they will deliver it on 02/27/2021 between 10:30am to 2:30pm.
Now on 02/27/2021 since no one showed up by 2:15 pm, I called in the appliance delivery department and they said that the truck is on the way, so while waiting for the truck I saw the same enterprise truck that they came in earlier twice was taking a U turn in front my house and to my surprise they did not stop and drove away. I just moved to my new place couple of weeks ago so do not have security camera installed but can get it from my neighbors to show that the guys did not stop at all. So right after that I called back in the delivery department at 2:30pm to check where they are and the agent said that in the system it was showing as delivered and installed....What???? Even if this has to be true can they do everything (park the truck, unload, place it in the kitchen and install with all safety) in 15 mins? Wow...what a scam!!!
Now another call to an agent and explained everything what happened and they said that the range is missing and they have placed a search order to locate it in their warehouse. So then what was that thing when the previous agent told me that it was delivered and installed!!! Now I cannot even cancel my order to get my $3300 until they find my missing range. Please stay away from Home Depot and buy from manufacturer's website or Lowe's maybe.

Ordered my gas range back in November 2020 but back ordered and won't be delivered till Feb 14th. I received a call on December stating the appliance is delayed and will reschedule for Feb 27. Fast forward to Feb 26, I contacted HD and they confirmed it will be delivered the next day between 7-11am. I waited for the delivery but nothing arrived. I contacted HD and was transferred to delivery company. According to delivery company nothing was scheduled for the 27 and the last note in their system was for the rescheduled delivery from the 14th. At this point I have already removed my old appliance from the kitchen ready to be picked up but now appliance didn't arrive I have no range to cook till the next delivery date 3 weeks from Feb27th. All HD can tell me is we're sorry and we understand your frustration. Never again I will buy anything from HD that would require delivery. Be warned consumers, you'll need a lot of patience with HD delivery services.

Updated on 03/16/2021: Here is my update. Today March 16th I looked at the order status of my refrigerator, since it is suppose to be delivered tomorrow. It says "delivery attempted". Yes, and attempted delivery one day before it was suppose to be delivered. Well Samsung says my refrigerator was sent to the wrong delivery warehouse. Yes, the wrong delivery warehouse. So now Samsung pushed my delivery to April 21st. Why? Because now my refrigerator is on backorder. What about the refrigerator in the wrong warehouse?
So on February 18th I didn't get it because of the weather. On February 25th I didn't get it because the truck broke down. March 17th I won't get it because Samsung sent it to the wrong delivery warehouse. What will their excuse be for April 21st. Hurricane or Flood. Samsung should not be making or selling appliances. And Home Depot Should not be selling Samsung appliances because when the appliances aren't delivered, it is Home Depot who sold it.
Original Review: I ordered a Samsung Refrigerator from Home Depot on November 21st. Home Depot cancelled my order by themselves and thanked me for cancelling it. They cancelled it, not me. I ordered the same Samsung Refrigerator again on December 31st this time using Pay Pal Credit. Home Depot then sent me this "Thank you for your recent Major Appliance order with The Home Depot. Unfortunately, there has been a problem processing your order, and we show you used PayPal for payment. We are unable to reprocess orders using PayPal and as a result, your order has been cancelled. A new order will need to be placed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you." Yes Home Depot cancelled the order again because they cannot "reprocess" orders. What does that mean?
I ordered the same Samsung Refrigerator again on January 2nd, this time paying in full with my Discover Card. This is a backorder so the delivery date is about February 10th. The 10th passes and now I get a delivery date February 18th. On February 17th I get a phone message that says because of weather they have to push the delivery date to February 25. Then I get the delivery window 11am to 3pm February 25th and I wait. At 2:30 I check the status of the delivery and it says "attempted delivery". I waited for a delivery and no one attempted any delivery at my home. No phone call no nothing. I called Home Depot and they were unable to get in touch with delivery. No one answered the phone after me being put on hold for 45 minutes. Yes the girl on the line was trying to help and kept telling me she was still on hold. She told me I would have to reschedule.
I then go to the Farmingdale NY store and an employee called up a higher up working for Home Depot, who told me I would be given "compensation" for my trouble and that now my refrigerator will be delivered this Saturday February 27th. This employee also told me that Home Depot doesn't make deliveries, that they hire local delivery companies to make the deliveries.
So now I think I'm getting a delivery on Saturday but when I get home I get a call from Samsung 855-681-6917. This person tells me the truck broke down and they are rescheduling me for March 17th. I said no, the delivery date is this Saturday and if it isn't delivered I will be cancelling. I hung up without waiting for a response. I call up Home Depot again and they tell me the delivery date is March 17th. That Samsung thought they would have had it in stock and because they didn't they couldn't deliver. She said Samsung appliances are delivered straight from the distributor. So Home Depot has my money since January 2nd and still no refrigerator. So this is what I'm dealing with. I will never again buy a major appliance from Home Depot.

Paid $2500 for a refrigerator. After they missed 2 delivery appointments, they finally showed up on a Sunday. Took my old fridge out and then unwrapped the new one. It was completely caved in on the top. Needless to say, I refused it and asked for a replacement as I couldn't even get the doors open on the new one. It will be 40 days until I can get a replacement. Yes, 40 days. Called manufacturer, and they say they can't have it made for 40 days. They advised I ask Home Depot for a loaner. I have no refrigerator, as my old one has now completely stopped working. Home Depot won't give me a loaner. Told me nothing they can do. Don't buy from Home Depot, in my opinion. They don't care. I am getting my money back and never going to Home Depot again. You have similar issues? Stop patronizing these stores. Go to a small family-owned company. You pay a little more, but it's worth it.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Bought a washer dryer in Dec. Had it delivered on Jan 02. They have a 48 hour return or replace policy if machine doesn't work, I called on Jan 4th machine wasn't working. Was told 7-10 days we would get a replacement someone would call. NOBODY CALLED. Jan 21st called to see what was happening, I was told manufacturer forgot to post replacement order, which is fine. Everybody makes mistakes. All was good until I placed another call 2 weeks later. Same thing happened then another same thing happened. Then I said enough is enough. I don't want a replacement just remove it from my house. They said they had contacted the carrier to pick up. Called the carrier. They have no such order....
Another week has gone by. Called again. Asked to speak to supervisor. Was denied because they are not permitted to pass calls to supervisors. It is now Feb 19th. Almost 2 months have passed. I have no clue when we will get money back or when machine will be taken away. Have sent email to ca_customercare@ homedepot.com hoping to get a response or at the very least an apology for having to spend my only day off washing cloths in a laundry mat during a pandemic with -41 degree weather after spending over $1500 on a machine that doesn't work. DO NOT BUY AT THE HOME DEPOT. As soon as I get my money back IF I GET IT BACK I will be buying from smaller retail business. We get better service and they are grateful for our business.

Updated on 2/17/2021: In my last review, I spoke of the HD response to COVID in that they cut the credit limits on their HD credit card. When that happened I did some research and it happened to a lot of people. So I was about to write them off but they had an incredible washer/dryer sale and I got sucked in. So I bought a Samsung set. I didn't know at the time that HD knew these units were back-ordered. When I bought them on 11/4/20 I was told delivery couldn't be until 12/20/20. And that delivery happened on time except one of the doors on the appliances was smashed. I asked if they could leave the rest and they said no, that HD won't let them install unless it all arrives together. Since then?
I call and get transferred to Samsung with no explanation or courtesy. I had to ask who I was talking to, which department, and why? Next delivery? 1/9/21 a month later because they have none in stock. I bought these units in November. On 1/9/21? I am lied to all day, they are postponed but coming, no really, they on their way, they will be there. Until 7 pm when I get a call that the truck broke down "again" so no delivery.
When they don't deliver you are bumped at least a week. Why? Item is on the truck. I should be first on the next day. I worked in freight forwarding for several years and that was always how it was done. Well not with RES Logistics the delivery service. (Officially called the MDO - market deliver operation as CEO Craig Menear boasted) I call it cheaping out at the expense of the consumer.
I hate this because the more they handle the appliance, the more chance it gets broken. I am promised 1/16/21. The guys come and know nothing about the order. The dryer door needs to be switched I say, "we don't do that" they say. I have a longer dryer cord on order I say, They stack the dryer anyway without testing and now the cord on there is too short and they can't test the dryer. (When I asked at HD about a longer cord, the salesman said they don't have them. But I ordered it online from Home Depot, so why lie and delay me? I could have had it on time for the delivery, but looked elsewhere first.)
The guys did what they could but didn't even test the dryer or hook up the steam hose. It was obvious they didn't have training for this. I get the cord and try the dryer, it doesn't work. I call an electrition to test the new cord, and my plug (4 prong) before calling HD again. He says it's all fine the problem is in the dryer. So I call again. When you call the Online Contact Center you might get a person. But apparently, if they are busy, they just pick and hang up the phone. This happened to me 4 times. 4!
Since then another delivery postponement. New delivery 2-16-21- then a call Monday 2-15-21 to confirm delivery. I ask for a time frame because I have to ask to leave work AGAIN to mee the delivery and I'm worried we have a storm predicted. the girl on the phone was not interested and I said we always get a time frame. Her response? "If you can control the weather I can tell you when your delivery will be." I lost it and demanded a supervisor. She said that I sounded upset and she was hanging up. I had to actually tell her not to hang up the phone and had to demand a supervisor 3 more times before she got one.
Bethany **, the supervisor told me she would deal with the girl (which I am not sure I believe) and that I had to call the Online Contact Center. Got a very nice man on the phone Paul who tried to help. But the bottom line is you are held hostage by what HD wants and what RES Logistics does. I can't say either is overly concerned with what I want.
So of course a short while before the delivery (9th on the list between 3 and 7 during an ice storm) their automated system calls and cancels. When will this happen again? Oh, they'll get back to me within 48 hours. I donated my units to a family unemployed by covid with kids in the house. So HD is holding us all hostage. Five delivery attempts and two broken units. Topped off with, delivery men who need more training, (and I bet much better pay) one nasty calling agent, and one semi-capable supervisor.
I tried to find these Samsung units anywhere else. Or at least the dryer and couldn't. But I don't see myself patronizing this store much more often. Home Depot won't care either. Until I convince the owner of the four companies I manage to drop his 3 HD commercial accounts which total an average of 20 - 30K a month in expenditures.
But you know what? They won't care then either. Craig has his. And the consumers? They will continue to be held hostage all for the want of an appliance that shouldn't have been promised in the first place. Someone said go to the laundry mat. Right. I'm high risk and have concerns about the expense and risk of a laundry mat. No one should have to wrestle over such things during a pandemic. Craig, you and your team of wealthy executives and your money-saving delivery people at RES Logistics should be ashamed of what you do to loyal patrons.
Original review: Last year at the start of COVID things were pretty scary. Home Depot did their part by sending me a letter that my HD credit card with them now had a reduced credit limit. I didn't owe them any money at the time and I know my previous payment record was perfect thanks to online bill pay. I can only imagine they didn't want people who might lose their jobs due to covid to run up charges and then default. I would say that is a fair concern but to swipe a broad, indifferent brush at your long time (over 30+ years in my case), loyal customers, out of distrust really made me take another look at Lowe's.
So how does that happen exactly? Does your Executive board have a BBQ at one of their mansions sitting around in their designer high ticket khakis drinking good wine and jointly decide that the consumers - the foundation of their entire empire deserves a kick in the butt during one of the worse pandemics we've ever seen in our lifetimes? I swore not to buy from them again but did get snookered into a purchase which is the next post I am making today.

I ordered a Samsung refrigerator at Home Depot in Madera California on November 14, 2020. It Was Scheduled To Be Delivered December 23, 2020. The day of delivery came and I did not receive any text/email/call to notify my appliance would not be delivered, I called Home Depot and the date was changed and it would be delivered January 5, 2021, well that date came and once again I didn’t receive a phone call to say it was set for a different date for the 3rd time this time saying it would be delivered February 15, 2021, that’s 3 whole months since I placed my order, mind you my refrigerator has been leaking water and it’s now staining my carpet. Well February 15 comes and once again they can’t even call me to notify it has been pushed back once again. At this point I’m frustrated!
I call customer care and I ask for my refund. They tell me they are processing the return to go in stores to receive my refund. I go in store for the second time trying to get it figured out just to be told I have to wait 24-72 hours, after multiple phone calls and 4 different delivery dates I am told if I cancel my order I am not eligible for compensation! I’ve wasted hours on phone calls with different people. Nobody seems to take accountability. Home Depot blames Samsung for changing the dates and there’s nothing they can do! So why are they selling products they cannot take accountability for?
I finally decided to cancel my ordered and now I lost out on time and money because I’ve been paying interest on my credit card I used to purchase this and I will not be getting that back! I cried of frustration because they were quick to take my money which was almost $2,500. I would at least like a gift card or something for all my time, gas and money wasted because they couldn’t get it delivered to me.

OK COVID is happening, there are issues, it's not great I have to pay IN FULL that far ahead, but these are different times! 3 days before delivery, I receive an automated message saying my delivery date has changed to 3/5/21.
I called to ask why this had happened and why I was notified so late, and was told simply it was on backorder and I was free to change the date. Upon asking if it was going to be delivered on 3/5 they said they can't guarantee that, so I naturally asked what the point was if I changed the date or not!!! They claimed that this is their policy for backorder items and then LIED by saying they hadn't charged me yet anyway, which is wrong, they took the money from my credit card the day of. So I am still out over $3,000 without any date by when I will get my appliances. Their answer is "Tough, you can cancel if you want" - customer service at its worst! First time purchasing appliances from this big box store and it was a complete nightmare. My washer and dryer was delivered on NYE. The next day, after running a full cycle, we found out the washer had a leak coming out of the door. New Year’s Day was a holiday so we didn’t call until the next day. Because we waited more than 48 hrs to call And report the problem, Home Depot said there is nothing we can do and we need to go through the manufacturer. After multiple attempts to get it serviced through GE, I now have a $2000 washer (and dryer) in my home that is still not working. HORRIBLE Customer Service at HD, they just lost a customer. Not that they care one bit.

They do not tell you only have 48 hours to report problems/defects. They also do not tell you the installation is on a separate day than delivery. By the time you can get someone out for installation the window has passed and they are no longer responsible, that’s when you can’t return and have to deal with manufacturers.

Purchased a dishwasher online at Home Depot Canada. Was informed it was coming on the 23rd between 8:00 to 12:00. They would call 30 minutes before arrival. No call, nothing. I understand due to COVID delays are possible and was warned upfront. I text their helpline who checked on the order and was told they attempted to deliver early in the morning. I was home, no calls, I checked my phones for calls, nothing. OK so now we are playing the “blame the customer routine”. Ok so I asked when can they deliver? Next scheduled delivery is 5 days from the 23rd making it the 28th.
They were adamant no earlier. I told them to cancel the sale. I will get it elsewhere. Home Depot refunded my money almost instantaneously. I went online and purchased the same item from Best Buy. 2 hours later I get a call from a 3rd party transport company stating they are ready to deliver. Told the guy, "Sorry Home Depot stated Jan 28 is the next time slot." I was not going to wait 5 days. So the HD person did not check with shipping company on status, was giving incorrect information, but did refund very quick. Strange business model.

We ordered a LG washer and Dryer set on-line to be delivered on 1/16/21. All went well through delivery. Wish it ended there. Later that day, we started wash and when we used the dryer for the the first load we heard a rubbing noise that intermittently got louder and softer. We immediately (the same day as delivery) called the home appliance issue line 800-455-3869 that they required us to report defects/damages within 48 hours of delivery. This is where it all went downhill. Apparently, Home Depot (HD) must report any damages/defects reported in the 48 hour window to LG so that defects are addressed by the manufacturer and not HD. First of all, very wrong of HD! I didn't direct buy from LG. I made a purchase with HD.
As a customer, I don't care where you get your credit from. I just want a smooth process that gets results from the store I purchased it from. I should not in anyway know what is going on behind the scenes with your relationship with LG. Deal with your exchange paperwork behind the scenes. However, I am now in manufacturer/3rd party delivery...! You get the picture. After calling once and being put on hold with no update, I hung up and called back. The person on the phone said they needed to have someone come out and look at the dryer and that the earliest was one week away. Really? Well after requesting to speak to a supervisor, I agreed as long as the dryer that I would continue to use would be swapped out because I do not want to be made to keep a dryer that was delivered defective and would possibly be made worse during a week of use. I was assured this would not be the case.
I also asked who EXACTLY was coming out to my house again. I wanted to be assured these were appliance repair personnel who could assess the situation and not delivery guys to waste my time. I did not want to have 2 delivery guys walk in and look at it and say, "Yup, these are installed good. You have a defect." I could clearly tell these were installed ok and that the drum was making a noise internally. The person on the phone confirmed these were appliance repair specialists that were capable of working on dryers. So skip a week ahead and who walks through my door.... 2 delivery guys!! Just as I predicted, they looked at the dryer externally and listened to the drum and said you have a defect it was installed fine. Do you think at this point I am one big happy customer? NO.
You know HD, my time is worth a pretty penny too. I was told to call the same number once again to let them know that the DELIVERY people said the install was good and we have a defect and to ask for a replacement. So I called the same number again.... Of course this rep tells me to please hold as she contacts LG. ONE HOUR and 45 MINUTES on hold and she comes back to tell me that LG is not agreeing to the replacement. I said I waited almost 2 hours for you to tell me that. That the largest home supply company can't manage a process of an appliance swap for a defective appliance delivered and reported on the same day!!!!
I asked why and to this she states that they do not have record of my calling within the 48 time frame. Funny... How would I have a re-check appt. just completed at my house and why does the paperwork that the guy just handed me state I called on the same day of delivery to let them know the dryer was making bad noises. Why do I have to know that LG is not agreeing? I do not care. I bought my product from HD. Let HD deal with this. HD needs to make the customer experience seamless. On their website it clearly states the 48 hour defect/damage requirement. I followed it but too bad HD does not know how to manage it. So once again I asked to speak to a supervisor.
When the supervisor gets on the phone she proceeds to tell me that reviewing the details she sees that the delivery guys have contacted LG and that LG is expected to contact me within 48 hours to schedule a replacement of the dryer. What?! I was just told a different story 2 MINUTES ago. Clearly this process is so badly in need of an overhaul. How can I now be at the mercy of LG and waiting for them to call me? I should not be involved with LG at all! SO this is how it ends for now. I am waiting.... hopeful to get a call from LG within 48 hours of today 1/23. I will not hold my breath as this whole simple appliance purchase has wasted so much of my time. What is even more sad is that I am getting ready to buy an oven, microwave, and dishwasher... I guess it is time to look elsewhere because I will not subject myself to this again. Service has to be at the forefront and better processes and training need to happen.

Ordered new range from Home Depot online January 8th. Was told it would be delivered January 20/2021. Then received a call saying it was back ordered until March 15. I understand there is a problem with appliance orders due to COVID but not sure why they are able to charge me in full 3 months in advance of receiving the appliance. I can understand them getting a deposit but payment in full? When I called Customer Service you can guess the type of disinterest I was met with. Basically offered to refund my money but would be off the wait list for the appliance I wanted.
What is really frustrating with this, is that I was looking for a very specific range. I did my research online to find out who carried it and whether they had one in stock. EVERYONE of HD competitors showed they were currently out of stock, expecting delivery mid March. BUT Home Depot showed they had stock and could deliver January 20. This a completely misleading and unethical business practice! They get you to place the order and say you have to PAY IN FULL for the product and they know damn well isn't in stock. Then they tell you might get it two months from now but absolutely no guarantee! Absolutely ridiculous! Will not be buying an appliance from Home Depot again. And looking at various forums, I am not the only one!

On January 5, I ordered a washing machine from Home Depot which was supposed to be delivered on January 8. To make a long story short, the delivery driver claimed he couldn't find my address (I even went looking for him) and so the washer wasn't delivered. I then contacted Home Depot and canceled the order. I then ordered a washer from Lowes and it was delivered on January 9.
Since then I have called Home Depot Customer Service every few days to inquire about my refund. On January 13, Home Depot sent me an email giving me a "case number" and that my refund request was being evaluated. On January 18, I received an automated call from Tempco Logistics informing me that the washer (the one canceled from Home Depot) would be delivered tomorrow. I immediately contacted Home Depot Customer Service who again confirmed that my order had indeed been canceled but that no one had bothered to inform the delivery company. I have now spent over an hour on hold with Tempco.

DO NOT EVER order appliances from Home Depot unless you can walk out the door with them. Ordered in October 2020, found out early January 2021 that they actually had NOT ordered the fridge (their explanations up that point was that it was "back ordered". Four hours of dealing with Head Office and only resolution was refund of our money...and we got the fridge and deepfreeze from Trail Appliances the next day. Lots of excuses, lots of blaming, and even the suggestion from on Customer Service Rep that we "consider going to the Brick" to get the Fridge and Deepfreeze!

Ordered my dryer in Nov, scheduled delivery was for 1/6/21 as it would not be in stock earlier. I wanted a plain, mechanical controlled dryer, not anything fancy. My husband and I both took off from work to be home. They either went to the wrong home or did not bother to come to the door and ring doorbell to let us know they were here. I did see a truck pull in front of my neighbour's house across the street and went out to check. It was not there for even 30 seconds before it drove away! NO attempt to contact us! I have a security cam, and it shows NO ONE CAME TO OUR DOOR! The delivery window was until 6 pm, but when I called at 4:15, the drivers had already GONE HOME! We were their last stop, and they OBVIOUSLY wanted to go home EARLY!!!
Called to complain, all they can do is reschedule, not a help as I had my current one sold and the person coming to pick it up today. Called Home Depot too, let them know what had happened. I was considering hiring HD for several large renovations we are going to have done, but won't consider it now. If they can't even hire delivery people with enough common sense to get out of the truck and go to the door, I can only imagine what morons they would send to do renovations! Their loss? Probably 40 to 50K. Will hire someone local!

I bought over $9000 worth of appliances from Joe at the Home Depot in King of Prussia. My credit card was charged in full for the items, but alas, it was pure HELL getting delivery of these items that were sitting in their delivery warehouse from the beginning of December 2020 to January 2021. We had agreed that I would get delivery of the items as they came. So Joe gave me 4 delivery dates spread throughout December 2020. As each delivery was confirmed by phone by RAI (their Allentown delivery branch), I confirmed the dates and made sure the entire day was free for these people to bring my appliances.
On each delivery morning I got a phone call from Allentown delivery saying that their truck broke down. Then they would reschedule and the same excuse of the truck breaking down was used each time! What's worse is that they documented in their notes that THE CLIENT RESCHEDULED and used that as the reason for not delivering. When they did this for the 4th delivery scheduled, I told them I didn't believe they'd ever come. They URGED ME TO ACCEPT A SUNDAY JANUARY 3rd 2021 delivery and I accepted and waited all Sunday from 7am in the morning. No trucks came, and I called their delivery number and no one picked up because the recording said they were closed.
I called Joe at the King of Prussia Home Depot and informed him. He reported it to a manager by the name of Nicole, who was supposed to call me. Nicole never called back, not even on Tuesday the 5th. I also got a phone call Monday 4th from Terry of the Allentown delivery department, apologizing for the truck not showing up on Sunday due to bad weather (which it was not bad weather that day!). She tried to make me reschedule, but I told her I was sick and tired of this and that I was going to let my Home Depot know about what they were doing.
Meanwhile, Terry informed Home Depot that the truck did come to my house on Sunday, and that I was not there!!!! I went to Home Depot on Tuesday 5th to schedule a delivery date ONLY TO FIND OUT THAT THEY SCHEDULED ME ON THE 7th and 8th of January without my knowledge!!!! They are also threatening to send my appliances back to GE! And Home Depot is now accusing me of letting items sit in the warehouse for a month. They also have chosen their own delivery dates without my approval on days when I will not be available. I have wasted 5 ENTIRE DAYS ON DELIVERIES THAT NEVER CAME and now I am being told my items are being sent back if I don't accept those delivery dates. I have never experienced such despicable, shady behavior from any company I've purchased from. I would never go to HOME DEPOT again.

We bought LG Counter Depth Refrigerator and after 53 days of use, Broke down, no power to unit. Took LG 19 days and 3 missed appointments to tell us unit is Unrepairable due to Mother Board Defective. Instead of requesting a Replacement Refrigerator, which would have Prioritized our concerns and order, Home Depot was instructed by LG to Credit Defective unit and place a new order, which placed us last in Line. Ours broke down 10/28/20. Home Depot reordered 11/20/20, promised delivery date 1/25/2021. Unbelievable- Appears Home Depot has no creditability with LG and allows LG to control Home Depot. Very apparent that Home Depot just wants to sell LG Products and not take care of their customers. True also with LG, which has the worse Customer Service Department we ever dealt with and Home Depot is following in LG footsteps.
We have asked Home Depot to upgrade and track our order. Home Depot was more interested in getting their Credit on Our Defective Unit and when we asked about our replacement unit when they requested label for defective unit, was told have to wait until 1/25/21 and Home Depot did not follow up, as Promised. LG and Home Depot have pushed our anxiety to a new level. If Home Depots sells LG or any other other products, they need to Assure and Reassure Customers that they back up the products they sell and not give us a run around and excuses to protect LG. Home Depot would rather upset a Loyal Customer than upset LG. Terrible Customer Service Process, Which is great for LG. We do not recommend Home Depot for Appliances until they have more control of Customers Concerns/Dispute Process Through Vendors and make Home Depot Customers More Important than a Vendor.

The three items come in Dec and we are told the dishwasher would need a separate install appointment due to the need for a plumber. That install happened on Dec 14. The delivery and installation were flawless, but communication by Home Depot on the install procedures was non-existent. Just wanting folks to beware if you need your appliances soon. We purchased a new refrigerator from Home Depot in Tulsa, OK, on September 26, 2020. It was an LG 20 cu ft refrigerator with an ice-maker. The refrigerators were not in stock, and they informed us that delivery would be made in December 2020. We were fine with that. In early December, we were notified the refrigerator would be delivered the very next day. We live in a high-rise condominium building in downtown Tulsa, so we had to schedule a delivery time window and reserve the loading dock--which we did.
The delivery company (Linn Star Transfer) called the next day to say they would deliver in 20 minutes. I explained to the driver EXACTLY how to contact security on arrival and where the loading dock would be. A few minutes later, the dispatcher for the delivery company called to say the driver was waiting and reported that the loading dock was blocked by another truck. Further, the driver would only remain for just a few more minutes. Along with security, I frantically ran all over the building campus, looking for the delivery truck to guide them to the proper dock. Before we could find them, we were informed that they had left.
A subsequent check of the security video footage fails to show ANY commercial vehicle ANYWHERE on our campus at all. The transfer company doesn't answer the phone, and we become concerned about where our refrigerator is now. Contacting Home Depot, they helpfully give us another number for the delivery ... which rings up an exceptionally rude person who informs us that the refrigerator is in their warehouse and would be delivered sometime when things slow down.
After a week or so of combative conversations with Home Depot, the Linn Star Transfer, and the Home Depot Corporate office, we decided to shop at a local retailer to find a better refrigerator in stock for less money. My wife then proceeds to Home Depot to request a refund...since the refrigerator is now nowhere to be found. On return, she brings a partial refund of $153 to explain that the balance of the money (the cost of the refrigerator and delivery) would come from Linn Star Transfer if, and when, LG approves the return. I stare at her in utter disbelief.
Ten more days go by without a refund. Contacts with Home Depot result in "deeply concerned" management people who promise to "get to the bottom of all this and call us back with a resolution.." No calls are ever returned. Finally, we call the store manager and layout our case: 1. We purchased--in good faith--a refrigerator from Home Depot. 2. We waited patiently for the delivery. 3. Home Depot failed to make the delivery in a timely manner. 4. We asked Home Depot for a refund of our purchase price. The manager explains there is nothing that can be done.
I explain further: 1. We did not hire the transfer company, which now has our money and the refrigerator. 2. We paid our money to Home Depot. And, it is to Home Depot we are looking for the refund. 3. Home Depot hired their own delivery company. We did not contract with the delivery company. 4. We do not control or supervise the delivery people or vendors for Home Depot. 5. We need a refund immediately. If Home Depot has to wait for the refund from the vendor/delivery people, that is their issue. Yeah. All we get from Home Depot is crickets.

I ordered a Samsung laundry set (Included stacking Kit) from Home Depot. They dropped off a brand new dryer and washing machine. They did not install it because the drainage pipe was not big enough for the new machine. After this, they dropped off the machines in my garage and left without checking the machine. The new installation date was 2 weeks after they had dropped the machine off.
Once they came back to install the machine again, we had found that the power cord was broken and the pins came off. They had not checked the machine’s functionally or told me about the warranty when they arrived the first time. They had once left again and I had to call Home Depot’s customer service. They had told me they could not help me and I had to contact Samsung customer support. It took me over two hours on both holds and transfers to finally arrange a repair of the cord. They also told me that Home Depot install crews was supposed to inform me about the 48-hour time period in where I had to call back if the machine was damaged or not working. I feel this is (SCAMMED from Home Depot and Samsung) However, Home Depot had failed to mention this when they had dropped of the machine to my house.
After the technician repaired my machine, Home Depot had used a third party to install my machines. This itself was a disaster. The “professionals” that had arrived had limited knowledge about the installation and my son had to direct them into installing the machines. It would have been easier to install them myself if I knew these were the people that were going to install my machine. Please stay away from Home Depot when you are buying and installing new things. BUYERS BE AWARE! Home Depot has the worst delivery and installation services. I bought two LG washers: a Mega washer and a sidekick washer. The delivery workers did NOT install the washers correctly by following the installation manuals. According to the manuals, the Mega washer needs to be secured on top of the sidekick washer by installing 4 screws to each of four sides. However, the workers just put screws to the left side and the right side only. They skipped the work and not to put screws to the front side and the back side.
They also took away most of the accessory parts that were included in the washers WITHOUT my permission and acknowledgment. They NEVER asked me if I wanted to keep the parts. They took away a Detergent Dispenser, an Elbow Bracket, two Wrenches, four Shipping Bolts for Mega washer, and all Non-skid Pads. These parts all had a total value of $100. I called immediately after the delivery workers left and requested them to return the parts to me, but they did not answer my call.

I lost a day of work, now no dishwasher or refrigerator which is exactly why they said I needed a plumber on site so they could leave the new appliances. The scariest thing is that they were going to hook up my gas stove but were not licensed plumbers to do so. This company is by far the worse I’ve ever dealt with. I will be taking matters to the media/newspapers. They left my family with no appliances or running water. We had to get a hotel room due to This.

Called, waited a long time, "Sorry that was a mistake, no date to give you but we will call ASAP." No one called. Followed up, "Oh, it's in our warehouse, we can deliver it in two days" - "So why did no one call me?. Oh great, what about the install I paid for?" "So sorry. Now you have to wait another 3 weeks for that to happen. Installer will call you shortly," they never call. Follow up, "Oh sorry. It's 4 weeks now!" Seriously. What the hell kinda of system so they have going there? Never buying from them again. Be warned.

I never write reviews but I have to on this one. I purchased a LG front loader. I bought the 5 year extended warranty through Home Depot. My washing machine went down on early August. I called Home Depot on 8/10/2020 and submitted a claim. The company that was sent out to make the repairs came out a week later on 8/18/2020. They looked at it and said they needed to order parts. Quite a few parts at that. A total of 8 parts. They finally came out today 9/11/2020 to make the repairs. I had to take a day off work but at this point I didn't care. I wanted the washing machine fix.. A month later to fix my washing machine but wait it's not over yet. The technician installed all the new parts but they could not get the washing machine working.
He said something called a stator that was order was damage. He said they have to reorder this part and schedule to come back out. This is so ridiculous on the side of Home Depot. Here I am at a month's time and my washer is still not fixed. I call Home Depot warranty center and all they tell me is that I have to wait. Hello I been waiting for over a month now. I ask them that I believe it's time to replace the unit now. It has been way too long. Now they have to reorder that part. What am I looking at another 3 weeks or so. This has really frustrated me. This will be the last appliance or extended warranty I ever buy from Home Depot. I really don't know what to do. All they say is I have to wait. So here I am hurry up and wait.

Talked to Store Mgr and he said they said they were sold out with no resolution, called Customer Care with same result. It was obvious they never had the product to sell and start the sale just being told they sold out on first day with no resolution. After several phone calls and disappointing results, I Had to escalate The issue just to have them finally substitute A comparable product but soonest availability was 25 days out. I contacted my condo maintenance man and he came and looked at it while Home Depot delivery was present. Said he could install it. Maintenance installed it. DO NOT ORDER APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT! I made the huge mistake of ordering a washing machine and refrigerator from Homedepot.com. My Fridge is not working correctly and I needed one quickly. Weeks after my order I received a call that said the washing machine will take another month to be delivered by the fridge is ready at the shipper. BUT- Home Depot's policy TO SAVE THEM MONEY is to only ship items together. I pleaded but they said it's their policy- AND THEN THEY SAID- If I cancel the washing machine I can get the refrigerator delivered right away, so I did.
Now, the day of delivery I call Home Depot to check the status and I was told, "We're sorry...but the entire order was cancelled. And we didn't send you an email to let you know." I spoke to their resolution department...they admitted in their notes, it clearly says CANCEL WASHING MACHINE ONLY. And yet, they canceled the entire order. I spoke to the resolution department and said, this was 100% not my fault and I need Home Depot to get me that Fridge. They said it's back ordered for another month and a half...I demanded some form of restitution- they said they could give me a Home Depot gift card to purchase a "dorm fridge" for a few months...for a family of 6. So happy Home Depot has decided to save money by losing me forever as a customer!!!! Buy from Best Buy or PC Richards or LOWES...Home Depot does not care AT ALL for their customers and the woman I spoke to from corporate resolutions proved that- they do not care.

They never did arrive....At 10:45 I received a call from the driver again stating "They did not load your stove on the delivery truck and I had to reschedule." I thought maybe they were outside but they were not. I don't understand. This is a delivery service isn't it. They didn't know my stove was not on the truck, How is it they would not know this at 7 AM.
I ask to speak to a supervisor who basically told me yes it didn't get loaded. I told her I would take this up with the Home Depot Store and probably cancel my order at the store. Delivery guys kept resisting moving the old refrigerator claiming it wouldn’t fit through doorway, though I convinced them, took off hinges, and it fit fine. Once again, I paid extra for that service, so not sure what I paid for. They also claimed new refrigerator wouldn’t fit in place, so I finally was tired of their complaining and told them, to leave. I had cleared out the refrigerator (had everything ready) including the service entrance area cleared and the padding on the elevator. I went downstairs and looked around. No sight of the delivery truck or men. I called the service number and they said the men left because they saw a fallen tree.

They should be ashamed. How hard is it to deliver an item that you pay for? I placed an order on a Tuesday and it said it would be delivered the next day for $35! Why deal with the hassle of going to the store and stressing out - I’ll just pay the $35. Wow that’s a mistake! Wednesday rolls around and guess what... Now delivery says Friday. Why? Oh one store didn’t have it and now another store needs to deliver it. Ok fine. Friday. What’s my delivery window... 7 am to 9 pm. Are you kidding me? I know we should be at home but you expect me to sit at home for 14 hours? Is this some sick joke?
Now I called 3 times before Friday to get a straight answer as to where my freezer is. I am told I will be told the day before roughly when they show up. This never happens. Come Friday I wake up early and make sure the phone is on me. I wait till morning as I get no calls and I ask roughly when the product will come and I told most likely early afternoon. I am assured they will call 30 min before. So again I sit at home waiting. 5 rolls around and nothing. I call again and am told, "Well you’re window is till 9 and the guy did take it to deliver it." Ok... I wait.
8:45 rolls around. No call. No freezer. Nothing. Now the store is closed at 8 even though the delivery is to be made by the store till 9. I check the status of the order - delivered! Really? Nope. Says it was delivered around 7. I look around our building 3 times. Nothing! I now have to call the main line who tells me to hold for a supervisor. 85 min go by on hold. 85 min!! Are you kidding me? No check ins on me. I hang up and I’m done.
All I want is my freezer. How hard is it for a retailer to deliver a product they said they would deliver on time? I didn’t give them a problem with how I paid - I didn’t make it a hassle - why are they putting me through hell?! I will NEVER order anything from Home Depot online nor will I visit this location ever. This is a disgrace! You would think people care about their jobs and making sure in this stressful time that people do their best to make the whole process smooth but that’s not accurate. Shame!

We have ordered a washer and dryer from Home Depot. The dryer was delivered first with a request to have the door on the opposite side. They delivery guys did not have the tools to switch the door. They also had materials not needed and we requested a credit and it was never credited by Home Depot. We decided to give them another chance and ordered a washer from Home Depot. They delivered the washer and took the old one away. They installed the new one and it was defective. They cut the electrical cord of my old working washer, as result, we couldn't use it. They called the main office. We were told the washing machine is on back order and we should have it in two weeks. We spent hours on the phone trying to get a resolution with no solution to our problem. My suggestion is to not purchase appliances from Home Depot. A couple of years ago we had a home bathroom remodeling project and the contractor referred us to our local Home Depot for appliances and service for parts of the project. The results ended up adding a couple thousand dollars to the project with final unsatisfactory results. Eventually had to go elsewhere for the appliances and service to have things done correctly. Needless to say, we were pretty unhappy with Home Depot from that point on.
Flash forward to present day and some of the sting had worn off. Recently our refrigerator stopped working and I looked at multiple sources for a replacement. Home Depot had a product that suited our needs and the delivery date offered was in the near future, so I decided to give your company another chance. The purchase was made and the original delivery date was established as July 7. We were going to be out of town that day, so I called to see if we could reschedule to a later date not too far in the future. Unfortunately, the next open date was July 23, and that would be way too long to go without a refrigerator, since we had already had to throw some of our food out. As a result, I instructed the delivery service to keep the date of July 7, and I made special arrangements to have my daughter be at our house. We were told delivery would occur between 4 and 8 pm.
July 7 came and went without delivery of the refrigerator. When I called customer service to ask what had happened, they informed me that the delivery date had been changed to July 23. So now we are without a refrigerator for another 2-3 weeks. Apparently I have no other recourse at this time other than cancelling the order and trying to find a refrigerator somewhere else that could be delivered sooner. Guess I will explore this option, but in the meantime, in case anybody there actually cares, thought I would inform you of the poor customer service I have come to expect from Home Depot.

My delivery window was 3 PM-7 PM. I got a call at 10:30 AM with a vague VM asking me to call back “at this number”... I called 3 times and it went to VM but there was no mailbox to leave a message. I’ve been sitting around my house for hours waiting. Then at 6:15 I get a call stating that they tried to deliver but got no answer. Keep in mind that was well before my 7:00 window ended... They refused to “come back” and wanted to reschedule for 7/14/2020! Total garbage!

NEVER order major appliances or contract Home Depot's home improvement services. The minimal savings on the front end or ability to use your store card is not worth the shameful lack of proper service you'll NO DOUBT suffer from on the back end!! This is my 2nd time in about 4 yrs and both times were nightmares! Their appliance delivery department is an astonishingly, shameful mess! They must still be using paper files with a dept only staffed by unpaid, part-time interns to track appliance orders. Customer service is an endless loop of extremely long hold times, being transferred to the wrong departments, apathetic or unknowledgeable customer service reps who each give you different answers AND THERE IS ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY from the lower level reps to upper management!
I typically wait to order major appliances around major holidays so I can maximize on the sales. I ordered 4 appliances on May 18th. Today is July 7th and THEY RESCHEDULED MY DELIVERY 7 TIMES!! The last 2xs they waited until the delivery time frame to give the same dog ate my homework excuse of "THE DELIVERY DRIVER HAD AN EMERGENCY AND THE DELIVERY HAS TO BE RESCHEDULED!!!" And I already had to cancel 2 appliances from that initial order and reorder from a different brand because one of the many reps I spoke to believed those 2 were the reason for the delays. Clearly he was wrong! When the 2nd order was delivered we couldn't even accept the fridge cause it was visibly damaged! So in total 1 item has been delivered to date!
I have FIVE KIDS that includes 2 toddlers and I WORK FULL TIME at a demanding job. My husband is in the MILITARY so he is GONE a lot. We rent out the house he bought when he was stationed at Fort Bragg. We purchased these appliances for a family of four whose lease began on June 1st. Due to this debacle we had to rent 2 appliances from Rent A Center so the family can cook and have a place to store perishables. If we didn't do that this family would have no appliances in the middle of quarantining due to the pandemic!
There are companies that are just as big that have fail safes in place that prevents customers from getting lost in their huge customer service maze. Clearly this company does not. IT BOILS DOWN TO THIS since THEY ARE THE MCDONALDS' OF HOME IMPROVEMENT. They do not care if they lose customers due to poor service because they'll make money off of all the others who have yet to know their fate.
Home Depot's standard store card typically only gives you 6 months interest free anyway. So you are better off having a regular credit card that you keep at a zero balance so when you need to make a major purchase you will probably have an offer for 12 or 18 month interest free once you add a balance. So go to an appliance only store or a company that only focuses on the home improvement service you need and put it on that credit card. Home Depot is only good for quick in store purchases. (Even with that good luck finding a store clerk willing to help!) YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!!

Ordered online: June 29, 2020. Scheduled delivery was July 3rd, it was a good deal on a washer dryer combo unit with free pick up and a charged install. I can't review that unit because the delivery drivers did not read the delivery instructions, so I don't have the unit yet. 2 homes & 2 driveways on address use the north driveway. (The street runs north and south, no curves no excuse for confusion.) They parked at the south driveway which is obscured from my house.
(8:44am) In an effort to be courteous and make things easier I decided that since they hadn't shown up at the door or in the driveway yet and I still had time I would get my car out of the way for when they eventually arrived. I planned to park in the other house's driveway since they are cool with it in situations like this, plus it was almost 9 in the morning and they were sound asleep.
As I round the end of my driveway and can see the top of the other driveway. I see the delivery truck parked. They were standing outside the truck, watched my car exit the north driveway, drive in the shoulder (our property still) and enter the neighbor's driveway they were parked in front of. I waved at the delivery people as I got closer who waved back. As I park (in the driveway that they are also in front of) but before I can get out of the car, they quickly Jumped into their truck and drove off without a word.
My delivery window was 8:30am to 12:30pm. No one called me, texted or emailed. I started trying to call immediately (approx 8:47am). I could not get through to the"Correct" department at Home Depot until 1:03pm. Using the numbers provided in the email order confirmation and on the website were not helpful. I navigated IVR systems that ask for your zip code. Say they are transferring you to the correct department then hang up (repeatedly), or say your delivery is still on schedule at 12:45pm (after the window for delivery), customer service reps who don't have access or info on Online deliveries but take your number and promise to get the delivery sorted out from the correct department and call you back.
When I finally am able to get through to the right department myself (Never got the callback) I am informed via relay since I can't talk to the 3rd party delivery company myself. They knocked at the house and no one answered and I'll have to reschedule. I explained what happened, that they did not knock on the correct house, that they had ignored the delivery instructions... that they saw me and drove off anyway... This of course made no difference.
The neighbor confirmed they did not ring the doorbell because by now it was late enough they were awake and had been for a while. I had today off work. I now have to arrange for either myself or someone to be able to be here on Tuesday the 7th for a rescheduled appointment that I won't find out the timeframe for until the 6th "at some point" via text, which makes arranging things soo easy. (I'm the only driver for my household and we both work at the same business and carpool.)
Bottom line. I am frustrated, irritated and angered by how today went. No clear number to call. No ability to contact 3rd party delivery/installer company directly. This is bad customer service. I didn't screw up. They did. I should have had a delivery driver back out here with my install & pickup of the old unit the same day, within the delivery window. No excuses. (Screw ups happen, fine, but own it.) No one called me about any of this, not when they didn't get an answer at the door etc. and to not even ring the doorbell? My advice would be if you choose to use home depot, pick it up and install it yourself. We'll see how the next appointment goes but I am not feeling good about it.

When they arrived, the one team member was extremely rude to me right off of the bat. He began berating me that he could not fit our fridge through the garage door, even though I had measured it prior and it was wider than my new fridge. Finally, his other team member grab his measuring tape and measured it and they both realized I was correct.
Then they came inside to inspect our fridge area. I explained to him that I was having a hard time getting the copper pipe off of the fridge. He asked if I had shut off our water valve. I said yes and that I had tested the water to make sure it was off. He then rolled his eyes at me and said that he can’t help me or instruct me how to get the copper pipe off and laughed. He then told me I shouldn’t be doing things that I’m not good at (I’m a women, btw). I was completely taken aback by his comments. I told them I would figure out myself and then they literally just left me with a broken fridge and a new fridge in my garage. I will be calling back and complaining and I will make sure that I receive my money back for the installation kit and removal of old fridges. Waited over a week and a whole day for them to come and when they finally came they came with jokes and complete bogus excuses for why they can't do the job I paid them to do. I would not get anything delivered from HOME DEPOT the people they employ do not care and what's worse is if you call HOME DEPOT they also won't care.
I won't get into the long story but bottom line is they didn't want to work and despite me paying them a lot of money I had to do the installation and delivery of the appliances myself which in itself isn't a bad thing, but I'm older and sedentary and health wise advised not to do such strenuous work myself. That was the reason I paid them to do it. The first thing they did when they came was produce jokes that they weren't going to install it. Then they went thru the motions of saying they will but after connecting a hose and removing my old gas line connection hose by unscrewing it the guy didn't want to work anymore. He lied about that he can't take off my older connector to replace with the other sized connector because of paint? Then he lied saying it was cemented shut?
I offered to do the connector removal but he told me it was already too late and they left the machines in my garage essentially forcing me all by myself to bring them inside my home and to connect them myself. HOME DEPOT should be ashamed. Worse is they should be ashamed that they have virtually no mechanism to complain or voice issues likely by design because I'm sure they have these same lazy incompetents doing the same to other people like they did me. FOR 1,500 I should had gotten much more than what I got - grief and issues.

After 12 emails... they are going to give me credit to return it... so before you buy any large appliance at Home Depot... check to see if that company has a service agent in your area... because Home Depot will do nothing about warranty problems... You are on your own... They are just a middle man.

They had a sale of several hundred off of a Samsung range and fridge. They could not sell us the products at the advertised price because of where we live because they do not deliver to our ZIP code area. I said I would pick up myself. They said price was for delivery only. Nowhere was that mention in the advertising. I know Home Depot doesn't need my business, but for the principle of it I will never shop there again. This kind of false advertising is unethical and borders on discrimination to me.

However this went straight through.
I then emailed advising the customer support team of the error as these things happen and didn't think it would be an issue with the company, I received no response after 3 days so I emailed again to the support team, no response, so emailed again. I then finally received a reply 6 days later, the reply I received from Robertson at Home Depot was truly appalling, referencing their policy and that they are under no obligation to refund the money and advised me to cancel my order, I then replied advising of my disappointment and letting them know to cancel my order, I then received a response advising that it was already posted so they can't cancel, with no other options provided. I strongly recommend you shop somewhere else online, I won't be making the mistake of going through this company again and I wish I had read the similar reviews people have made online with this company before ordering.

Almost six months without a working kitchen due to the negligence of the Home Depot's install services. They "attempted" to install on 12/31/19 and due to a faulty install, damaged my kitchen beyond use. They passed their responsibility on to "their" totally inadequate insurance company who did nothing for 6 weeks. It was after mold started growing that I asked my own insurance company for help. Home Depot's install services should not be used! To date the bill is way over $50k for a simple dishwasher install and I still do not have a kitchen. Try eating out during covid on top of that horrendous experience! I would never use their services again and I have many opportunities to do as a Property Manager. Stay clear of them or plan on eating out often!

I bought a washer & dryer set from Home Depot. The in store experience is fantastic and very helpful. The store manager helped me and answered all my questions, I ultimately decided to buy a more expensive model from Home Depot because I was very satisfied with the experience. Problem arises with delivery and post purchase customer service from Home Depot. Home Depot's third party delivery company - Spirit Delivery - did not deliver my appliance and I had to contact Home Depot for a resolution.
When I contacted Home Depot customer service to find a way to get my appliances delivered or available for in-store pickup I was placed on hold for 2 hours. When I was finally able to talk to a human, they had zero power to help in any regard. They tried to contact the delivery company and the store manager (same one I bought the appliance from) and both parties were unable to come to a compromise to deliver my appliance in a timely fashion. After being on the phone for a total of 4 hours with zero progress, I ultimately cancelled my order and bought the same appliances through Lowe's where I can pick it up in store. Before buying an appliance from Home Depot, I highly recommend confirming the delivery carrier and doing research on the delivery carrier before buying the item.

I am highly disappointed in Home Depot. I have been waiting over 2 months for a product. That the manufacturer has said is in stock. We even called the manufacturer ourselves to verify it was in stock (because the customer service rep we talked to told us to call). I totally understand the pandemic. But, I can't just let this slide. Because we placed the order April 14. Here it is June 10. Still no correspondence from Home Depot (unless WE call them) about our order.
It was first supposed to be delivered last month on the 20th. Then HOME DEPOT rescheduled, not us because they claimed they lost the order. They rescheduled and informed us it was lost due to a system glitch, only after we called asking where our product was. So, here comes this month. It is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. We called today to get some sort of confirmation. They have us the typical messages of we would get a call. Well, we never did last month. So, we insisted on answers. Well, apparently we are not getting this product again this month.
We were on the phone with a supervisor named Judy whom hung up on us (we were not being rude). We had actually came to an agreement of getting some compensation for all of this and she was trying to get our product for us, but she hung up and has yet to call back. So, we called back. We talked to yet another rep. They said it would be rescheduled for July (so we are waiting yet ANOTHER month because of them, not us!). They also said they would send us a gift card through e-mail for $175 (for our frustration, this isn't even half of what the order cost us). However, we never received that e-mail either. So, who did they send that e-mail to, because it certainly wasn't us. They have our e-mail, because it is what we used when making our online order.
This is ridiculous. I looked through many other vendors before choosing Home Depot to do business with. Then your company wants to jerk me around. I am already in contact with the AG office here in Missouri. They have my complaint. I am also contacting the BBB. You can't just take somebody's money and not communicate anything with them. Please make this right, I just want my product that I have paid for!

Then they also told me it would take another month for delivery. Spent 2 hours on the phone with customer service (most of the time on hold) to finally get my order cancelled and money refunded but they still won't send a confirmation email for the refund so I'll be disputing it with the credit card company. The soonest I was to get a delivery appt for my washer and dryer was 18 days after my order date. I patiently wait and delivery day comes. I wait all day for the delivery to arrive, checking the status on-line. With 30 minutes left in my delivery window period and 1 delivery ahead of me I receive a call from the delivery company claiming that their truck broke down and my delivery needed to be rescheduled.
The gal makes a point to add to the conversation that reschedules are being rescheduled for the 15th (15 days after their missed appt) but making an exception and offering me a Tuesday the following week. Why not Monday? Well they are booked and apparently those orders take precedence. She made it sound like I should be appreciative that I was getting granted a special delivery day...3 days after they missed the appt and not 2 weeks. Very unapologetic she rudely confirmed my rescheduled appt, like it was my fault?!!! Sent HD emails and sat on the phone on hold for 45 minutes. I have had a problem with Home Depot since May 1st of 2020. I came to the store to look for a washer and dryer for Mother's Day and pick out the one for her. Now I usually don't deal with home depot for stuff like this because of your ratings and yes I read all reviews before purchasing anything from a store. So I purchased a washer and dryer from the home depot because she said she wanted it from there because it was close to home. I was very leery but that was where she wanted so I went. Purchased the MVWB765FW washer @642.00 and MGDB765FW dryer @ 753.00 with a 10 % discount on appliances @ 396.00. So they never checked to make sure the product was in stock when I paid the money.
They sent me an email on May 8th stating that the dryer was not available until Saturday, July 18th which I thought was ridiculous so I went to home depot and asked them why so long for the dryer. They never told my mom that they would have to build a whole new dryer because they were out of the one she wanted. So I tried calling a couple of times just to get hung up on which is very disrespectful at any given time.
When I got to the store they had already talked with someone through customer service so they were gonna upgrade her to the newer model which was fine at the price we already paid for. So when salesperson Janette ** called back to find out if they were gonna still give me the deal they said o.k but when went to the Manager who was on Duty that day of May 11th he didn't want to do it so I had to pay for an upgrade and to redo the whole transaction over with me owing them 166.43 which I paid since she was getting the upgrade. Lo and behold the day of delivery they come with the color of white which should have been Metallic slate. What I paid for.
It was just too much to deal with at the time so I went up to the store and asked for the manager named Jo who never since the whole process has begun to come and say, "Well I'm sorry this keeps happening and that we will do this for you for your time coming up here." Just nothing wouldn't even show his face which I think is bad customer service for him and the entire store. But the delivery guys were awesome. Juan ** and Jose ** very respectful gentlemen. These other salespersons are very nasty and rude **- Janette and ** - Sally also **- Ariel. Order No. **.
I will never ever purchase anything as long as I'm living and breathing from Home Depot store number 1911 Cicero, Il ever again. All I want is my money back from the upgrade and you will never hear from me again and if I don't receive it I will take you to small claims court over it. I work too hard for my money and to be treated this way is unheard of. This will also go on your reviews so that you know how your employees are "UNBELIEVABLE." Patricia **

They did not send a needed letter with a code to do this. They are now refusing to renew the warranty stating I allowed it to lapse, yet no letter with a needed code was sent to my home. Of interest, in November 2019 I had to use the warranty as the refrigerator needed service. I confronted them with the issue of not notifying me as I had had to use the warranty and this cost them money. they disagree. If I had received this letter I would have used the code to renew. I have contacted the BBB but Home Depot refuses to assist with this matter.
Asurion is a third party to Home Depot. I want consumers to know what happened to me. I now have no warranty for this appliance. Home Depot encouraged me to contact Samsung, the manufacturer to see if they might sell me a warranty and they offered 100.00 towards the purchase if I could do this. I bought a stove and the extended three year warranty from the Aiken SC Home Depot on 2/5/18. On 5/6/20 the glass stove top broke when I turn it on to cook breakfast. I called the Aiken Home Depot where we bought it and was told by one of the guys there to bring it in. I argued and said, "We had it delivered, it is busted and the glass is fragile..." He insisted we bring it in. So we taped the top as best we could to try and keep it together on the 15 mile trip in the back of my husband's truck to the store.
We went inside and went to customer service as we were instructed and finally got Cliff the assistant manager. Cliff informed us that whoever we spoke to had misinformed us and and to take it home and await a service call. We were scheduled a service call from Asurion (who does Home Depot's warranties) on 5/13/20 between 12 and 4 pm. On 5/13/20 at 11:15 we received an email from Sloan Appliance company asking us to take a survey about our repair experience. I called them and spoke with Sara and told her we were scheduled for an appointment from 12-4. She said, "Actually, Home Depot and Whirlpool canceled your appointment on 5/6/20 at 12:11." I said no that cannot be right. We even spoke with assuring on 5/6/20 to try and get the appointment escalated.
We spoke with Gisselle, Sara, Ilean, and Derrick at Asurion on 5/6/20. We again called Home Depot in Aiken on 5/13/20 and spoke with Leanna who was nice, but could do nothing to help us. We also left a message for Gloria and spoke with Margaret and then Leanna again. We were told we could call back and speak with Cliff tomorrow, but we had to try and get yet another service call. We did not cancel the first one and have been given the run around since the beginning from both Home Depot and Asurion.
We have been a week w/o a stovetop or oven in a pandemic in an area where going out is dangerous and a lot of restaurants are closed or on reduced hours. I am also a diabetic and my husband has been out of work for 8 weeks because of this pandemic. We do not have the money right now to buy another stove and what good is the 10 manufacturer's warranty or the three year Home Depot/Asurion warranty if they will not service, replace, or refund our money?

I had a refrigerator delivery scheduled for Saturday May 2nd. When the delivery company showed up it was clear from the start they didn't want to do it. I have a townhouse where the kitchen is on the 2nd floor. They told me specifically that I needed to remove a lighting fixture on my landing so they could clear the space and install a shut off valve for the water dispense behind the fridge. They would not deliver it and left. I paid for someone to come and install the valve and took the light fixture down and had a reschedule date for today, May 13 (earliest they could do).
Two different delivery men showed up and once again, once they saw stairs, clearly didn't want to do it. The new story was that they couldn't clear the angle on my staircase without damaging the walls and would have to pay personally out of their own pockets for any damage. They then took their tools, went and called the delivery company who called me and said they couldn't deliver again. They again left and I'm still without a refrigerator. This is after two times of clearing out my refrigerator and freezer and I'm left with nothing. Refrigerators are delivered all the time in my complex. Home Depot should be embarrassed. That Saturday they attempted to deliver it but after they took it off the truck they opened it up and saw it was cracked inside so they had to take it back to the warehouse because they could not leave it or give me a loaner one and saying that someone would call me about the next step. Not once did they allow me to look at it and they said they took pictures of it. No one from delivery called me back so I had to call them and was told they need to call the manufacturer about getting a replacement. They call me back a day later saying the manufacturer would not replace the item and that my entire order was canceled because I supposedly told the delivery guys to cancel this order which I know I never said I canceled it. They said because the order was canceled that they have credited my bank account.
I checked and was not seeing anything so I called them back where they told me that I had to go into the store to either re order or ask for a refund. So I go to the store and asked for a refund. The store would not refund the amount because they had to wait for the paperwork from the vendor which would take days. So I have been out of a refrigerator for 2 weeks and ended up going to an appliance store to shell out more money on another one which I should have done in the first place. Also we all know appliances are not built as they once were. I purchased the warranty and the fridge did go bad in a year or so. Fixed it, I called and told the appliance repair and Home Depot it does work...however doesn’t sound the same as before it was fixed. It’s a unit I use in my cabin in Northern Michigan, so I generally only get there on weekends.
I called last Sunday the 4/19/20 and was told and sechedule dan appointment for Monday afternoon - great! Those people didn’t show. Said due to Coronavirus they no longer service this area. But I found out by calling them (appliance people) Home Depot did not call me, I did the work. Called Home Depot, sent someone else out A & E (Sears) and they showed up in Wednesday and as was checking out said this was a “cash call” meaning I pay them not Home Depot or warranty. I explained that was incorrect - I don’t mind paying, but this is a warranty call. He leaves. Understandable but frustrating. Now the 5th time I’ve thrown food out of my fridge.
Call Home Depot, they tell me a guys in the way - I explain he just left, didn’t know this was a warranty call. Ask if they could contact A&E and correct that. Now Friday - no one contacted. My fridge is literally dead - I have called Home Depot on 10 occasions. On Wednesday (afternoon) they sent me to a “manager” - he couldn’t make a decision, however assigned me to a person and said this person will fix this and call within 24 hours after this escalation - it’s now Friday 4/24/2020 - no call from the “assigned rep”. In fact no call back from any Home Depot in these 6 days and when I called in today the lady said we should have an answer by Monday.
I explained even if you do on Monday, it will be Tuesday or Wednesday and then they’ll have to get parts - this will be 2 weeks. I explained To her sales guy says 2 calls - "I’ll bring the fridge to the West Branch Mi Home Depot and they can plug it in and see it doesn’t work, I’ll buy a new fridge and when you certify it just send me the money you said you would (old purchase price) - like the sales guy and warranty says and we’re good!"
Their warranty service is ** and they are not good to deal with. It’s outrageous that they would not have an appointment schedule in 6 days, now going to be 10 at least as we’re at the weekend. Don’t call anyone back. They cannot find someone to service Samsung in the area.... Then why do you sell it here? I find it outrageous and corporate America at its best! Samsung makes bad fridges - got it - sales guy says 2 visits and we replace the unit (over exaggeration or lie - you decide) Home depot and their service - this is outrageous.
They sold a warranty and can not or will not even get someone out here. What if someone else visited my cabin and didn’t know fridge was bad and ate some food and got sick and had to go to hospital during this pandemic time? Poor service and poor quality of and from Home Depot. I put them on the same line as FM. And Buick who sold me a new car with a 2.4 engine and has an oil consumption problem from Chinese engines, that they know about, but don’t want to fix that problem as they, too, are Pieces of **!

Driver saw a small dog and without giving me a chance to put the dog inside the house, dropped the BBQ on the front of the driveway, ran inside his truck and sped off, leaving me to figure out how to get the BBQ to my backyard. Next time you need new appliances, think again before ordering from Home Depot. I had a delivery of a refrigerator and microwave range scheduled for today between 7am-11am. In addition to drop off, an extra fee was paid for install of the water line for the fridge. (The range was solely a drop off). I set aside my morning, ensuring I planned my meetings around their convenience. I pulled everything out of my broken fridge (which you can imagine is a large amount of food given the quarantine). Everything was cleaned and ready to go.
When they arrived they said they needed to call their boss, and left the house, but didn’t say why, and soon after I had customer service call me and say that GE does not allow the installers to touch copper lines which is what I have on my fridge. (Keep in mind, this was never something outlined in the parameters or instructions they give you to prepare for your delivery). She said that they can deliver the new fridge but can’t take the old one. I asked her if we got it disconnected, if they could take the old one as well and she said that they would and to just let the delivery person know.
My boyfriend was able to turn the water line off and get the copper line disconnected from the fridge. When the delivery person came back into my home, we informed him of this and he immediately said “I’m taking fridge back to the warehouse”. I asked what that meant and he ignored me and started walking away. I said, "Excuse me excuse me" as I also followed him and he refused to respond or even acknowledge that I was trying to get his attention. He exited my house and starting rushing back to his truck. I continued to follow him still trying to get his attention and he continued to ignore me as he jumped into the driver seat of the truck and told his partner to get in the passenger side.
I continued to say, "Excuse me" and he said, "One moment". And I said, "No, I want my fridge and range - you’re obligated to deliver it". I told them that they’re both in their seats with the truck turned on and they appear to have no intention of delivering the appliances that are owed to me. (Mind you, the range was delivery only from the start so there’s no reason that shouldn’t have been delivered). With that, they sped off with no explanation and with my appliances still in tow. I then had to reconnect my old (and leaking fridge) and reload everything back inside that I had just unloaded 30 min prior.
Home Depot’s resolution? Rescheduling another appointment for next week that I will now have to block time for, and go through the entire process of unloading a very full fridge and freezer again. The level of disrespect and lack of customer service is unacceptable. I cannot believe that a big name like Home Depot works with contractors that treat their customers this way. I am also extremely disappointed in Home Depot’s nonchalant response of “just rescheduling the appointment for next week.” They did nothing to turn this around into a positive experience which is very telling.

Horrible experience purchasing a Samsung refrigerator. Ordered online with a delivery date of 03/14. The fridge was delivered damaged. Delivery company contacted GE Home Delivery who ordered us a new fridge. We waited Another 5 days for delivery. We were told that they had to change our delivery date due to "truck error" and our new delivery date was 4 days from that date. We were told that after the fridge was delivered, we would be compensated for not having a fridge for 10 days. Today the fridge came. They offered to give us $50 and that's all they could do.
Our family of 4 has been eating restaurant food for the past 4 days because the fridge did not come before we moved into the house, with no fridge, as we had arranged. This has been a major inconvenience, not to mention the money lost due to eating every meal out. Such a disappointment from such a reputable corporation. Ultimately, the error falls on Home Depot where we purchased the refrigerator. Still waiting to hear back from anyone from either company.

Told them I've shopped there for over 20 years and never had this bad of customer service. Promptly went to Lowe's and bought an amazing Bosch series 500 dishwasher and will never buy anything from home Depot again. They lost all my business on that day for $378. Purchased a brand new GE washer Jan 2020 at the Home Depot in Oak Lawn. They give you 48 hours to report a problem. However, there is a 90 day return policy posted all over the store. Had a family emergency so did not use the washer until 5 days after being installed. It was broken with the first use. It was loud so I opened the lid thinking it was unleveled since I was washing a small load of clothes. What I found was that the water was not filling up in the machine. Long story short, I've spoken to the assistant manager, the store manager and the corporate office and no one is willing to exchange the washing machine.
They said, I should have reported it within 48 hours. I asked what about the 90 day return policy. They said it doesn't apply to appliances. I asked how would I have known that. They said I should have asked. I am now stuck with a brand new inoperable washing machine. My only option is to have it repaired. I could have kept my old washer for that. After reading so many similar experiences, I'm not understanding how they are allowed to continue to get away with this? Does anyone know who to contact to put an end to this?

I purchased a GE clothes dryer from Home Depot in November of 2019. I have had nothing but problems since the day I purchased it. Call Home Depot and they said once you purchase an appliance you now have to go to the company for service, they claim there is nothing they can do. I have had over a dozen six service calls having to wait a week to get an appointment and then the service person has to order the part and I have to wait another week. Therefore, I have no choice but to go to a laundromat because I am unable to use a new dryer. Each time the service person orders another part a day later no use of the dryer.
Two days ago they replaced the drum used it once and still have the chirping sound. The service person tells me now once again they have to order bearings and a heating element. I am totally disgusted and would never purchase another GE product. How can they get away with this? I will never purchase another thing from Home Depot either.

We purchased this washer and the matching dryer on February 15th via the website (this page) and they were delivered on February 22, a Saturday after the stated time interval, and after Home Depot's support department was closed. After they installed it and left, I discovered that the LED lights were not functioning properly on the main panel and called it in, but was not able to obtain any resolution due to the day and time. I also registered the product on Samsung's website and sent in a service request directly to Samsung since I had no idea what Home Depot was going to do about it.
I did get in touch with Home Depot on Monday and they told me to go ahead and let the Samsung (NISI) tech come look at it and call them back when he did. Samsung sent out a technician on February 25 (Tues) from their official NISI contractor and he determined that the unit had been damaged either in the plant, during shipping or during installation and that he could not fix it. We called Home Depot, who put us through to their Samsung people and initially got some pushback but eventually they agreed to replace it, but they couldn't do so until March 3, a week later. During this time we had the dryer, which I had to help the Samsung tech take down from the washer, sitting in the middle of our small living room. Finally, they showed up early in the morning on March 3 and installed the new unit which worked fine. At that point we had not been able to do laundry for a week.
Today, March 7, we realized that the installation team had somehow damaged both the hot and cold water taps/handles and that water had been slowly leaking down the pipes and under the floor. It also wicked into the drywall. In order to determine this I had to once again move the units out of the closet. So I called Home Depot to let them know about this and they are supposed to be sending an "Installation Check" person but I have no idea when. And I also filed a claim with them regarding the damage to our house. But once again, I have two appliances just sitting out of the closet, blocking two other doors, and I've had to turn off the H/C water taps and wrap the pipes in towels that I remove every hour or so after they soak through.
This has been an utter nightmare. We live in a small house and I have had to take days off of work, spent literally hours on the phone, and now we're looking at a major floor replacement job because of the ineptitude of Home Depot's installation teams and the incredible slowness of their first replacement. I now fully expect them to claim that the taps were already old/damaged, but they were not. There was no problem with our previous washer in that regard, nor was there any problem with the taps on the *first* (defective) unit they installed and later replaced. The only time water started leaking from *both* taps was after their second installation/replacement, and since *both* hot and cold are now damaged, it cannot be a coincidence.
Their installers damaged my water taps/faucets/handles and my house is a disaster now, pending whatever they (or our homeowners insurance) are going to do about it - No matter whether Home Depot pays for it or not (Small claims court is one option I'm considering if they don't), now I'm looking at at least another week of having no working washer and dryer, them sitting in the hallway blocking doors, and having to take who knows how much time off of work to supervise the contractors who are going to have to 1) replace our wood floors, 2) repair the damaged spigots, and 3) replace the damaged drywall.
For the above reasons, and pending Home Depot doing the right thing and making us whole and fixing everything that is damaged, I highly discourage other customers from buying here and using their install teams. The whole thing has been a major hassle, time sink, and it's all happening during this pending "coronavirus" outbreak. Dirty laundry is piled up and we are sick and tired of this experience. Now their fifth (that's 5) party install checker Daryl ** refuses to even inspect the situation and we are being forced to contact a plumber to fix the plumbing damage then a contractor to fix the floors. It looks like small claims court or an attorney are the next steps. Save yourself the hassle and DO NOT pay Home Depot for a washer install. Call your own plumber and have them come out to ensure the connections are done correctly!

I purchased a washer from Home Depot a week ago. It was their floor model. I live less than five miles from the store. As soon as we got home we set it up and tried to do the test wash with nothing in the wash, we got a code from the top washer. The second door handle was completely missing. Less than an hour after buying the washer we contacted Home Depot and they stated we had to call Samsung. We contacted Samsung and they stated we had to call Home Depot. We took pictures and sent to them. Told them it was physical damage. After a few calls both to Samsung and Home Depot, the manager from Home Depot said Samsung would send someone out. They came out today and said it was physical damage and they would not fix it and we needed to call Home Depot. I was asked if I wanted the extended warranty after I had paid for the washer and my husband was loading it up.
I have 12 kids in my home, and I have fostered many more. I bought the floor model because it was the largest in stock. I am on my third washer from Home Depot in five years, and the one that just broke I believe is still under warranty, but I bought a new one because they have already had to fix the last one twice. I usually buy everything from Home Depot, but their customer service and products have gotten ridiculous. We are now having to load this washer up and return it, because they say they will not fix it. I could have returned it a week ago and had a new washer delivered by now. They stated we can return the old washer and purchase a new washer, which is now more expensive because I got a discount for buying the floor model. All I wanted was a washer that worked, and they couldn’t even do that. Now I get to spend my time in the laundromat AGAIN because their products break.

As the delivery guys were bringing it up the four stairs to the front door I hear “hey lady we’ve got a problem.” He said, "We can’t get it through the door because of the awning over the door." When I mentioned to them the previous guys were able to get a 36 inch in the door with the awning there. He said “I’m not gonna do it. It’s too hard. You must take the awning off.” Then they went and sat in their truck. I got a ladder and a screwdriver and took the awning off then they got out of their truck and started to bring the Frigidaire up the stairs. They got to the doorway and I hear them say “hey lady we got a problem.” It was like watching a Three Stooges episode. He had it bent forward at a 30° angle when all he had to do was straighten it up and lift it over the landing with about a 4 inch clearance.
When I mentioned to him to try that he held his hand up and said “quiet.” They installed the fridge without hooking up the water even though a plumber had already installed the shut off valve and supplied the line. He tried to convince me that the dishwasher was in the way and I needed a plumber, I had already prepared the line for the fridge with a dedicated line to the dishwasher so I knew he was Lying. He was hostile and angry and I just wanted him out of my house.

Came in to Home Depot for their President's Day Sale to purchase a new In Wall Oven @ up to 40% off. I settled on their Frigidaire Single Wall Oven. I was satisfied on the price. I'm glad I asked about the installation. I paid $150 to install. I was told that they would not do the wiring nor would they uninstall the existing oven nor take it away. They would just basically drop off the oven. They recommended to call a 3rd party for the electrical work and have the area prepped. So basically, I paid an extra $150 for delivery only where the delivery is free as stated only for purchases over $300. That was very disappointing as I was excited to have a new oven.
I CANCELLED THE SALE. I call Best Buy, Filco, and Sears and asked them about their installation for new ovens. I was quoted $120, 190, etc... for a full install. That includes removing the old oven and taking it away. So basically, all I had to do was be home for the delivery and installation. Once done, the oven would be ready for use. I've decided to take my business to either one of the 3 competing stores. Your loss Home Depot. You guys really need to fix your delivery and install services. You're losing a lot of business because of these issues.

An exception form was completed by the delivery man convinced me that there was no power to the 220 outlet and I needed to call my electrician. I should have returned the dryer at that point as Home Depot doesn't accept returns or exchanges on appliances.
My electrician found that the dryer would not turn on because it required a 30 AMP versus the 20 AMP 220v wiring we had at the dryer location. It wasn’t possible to run additional wiring to this outlet. There was not any information on the Home Depot online product listing indicating that the LG dryer had this 30-amp requirement. This information was only obtained by calling LG product information service line. After 4 days of talking to online customer services representatives, I was able to reach the local Santa Fe New Mexico store manager.
The manager would accept the return with a $79 pickup fee and a 15% restocking fee $121. These costs will be deducted once the dryer is returned. I will also need to add a moving fee of $25 to move the dryer to the garage as the new gas dryer I also ordered from Home Depot will be delivered on February 20th. The Santa Fe store will pick up the old dryer on Monday February 24th. These additional costs 15% restocking, $79 pickup charge and $25 moving fee are about 30% above the cost of the LG electric dryer that we had ordered from Home Depot.
In the end, customer services person said that she would provide me a gift card for $121 for the cost of the restocking fee. All the customer services representatives were exceptional, but this no-return policy and the penalties are unacceptable and I want others to know about them. I have ordered, exchanged and returned many appliances and other large electronics in the past from ABT, Lowes and Amazon without any problems or additional penalties.

On first attempt was told by the drivers the refrigerator could not be installed because a shut off valve on the ice line was needed. I paid out of pocket for a plumber to install ice line shut off valve, as I was told that was the only issue preventing installation. Today a different delivery team came. Only one spoke a little English, the second one spoke no English at all. They communicated with each other and over the phone in Spanish. I was then told there was an additional problem preventing refrigerator installation, being a plastic connection between the copper ice line and tubing e wall.
Why wasn't I told this the first time so my plumber could have taken care of both issues at the same time. It seems the delivery service is playing games, making up excuses not to install. If I replace the plastic connector I was told about today, what excuse will they come up with at the 3rd delivery attempt. I purchased a side by side & gas range on 1/2/20 to be delivered on different dates. It took 2 1/2 weeks to get the refrigerator delivered. The scheduled date was 1/9/20. 1st attempt they didn't bother about showing up or calling. 2nd attempt they claim it wouldn't fit thru the doorway. 3rd attempt the same doorway they claimed it wouldn't fit thru..it fit thru. Gas stove scheduled delivery date was 2/8/20 8am-12pm. At 9:30 2/8, I received a call that they had to reschedule due to a truck breakdown. Again, I'm back at the home depot complaining about their contractors not delivering an appliance on the scheduled date.
The Home Depot needs reliable contractors for delivery of its appliances. I have never been so inconvenienced. So much that I will never ever recommend them for high ticket deliveries. Home Depot gave me credits for the inconvenience but it's not about the money, it's about fulfilling an agreement. I paid for it...so you need to deliver it per our agreement. I had to pay a Plumber to unhook my old stove, hook my old stove back up and now pay again to unhook the old stove should they ever deliver it and hook up the new stove.
Needless to say if I ever get the ** thing delivered, I will never ever give Home Depot another copper penny. Corporate needs to look at the complaints for their deliveries and contract with better companies. I spoke to another customer who experienced the same exact inconvenience...so this wasn't a fluke. Get it together Home Depot!

My boyfriend offered to unload the refrigerator where they were and he could get it up the driveway for them with our tractor that has a bucket. They said that they would unload it in the road and the delivery would stop there, and we would have to get it into the house ourselves after paying for full installation. The delivery people were rude, lazy, and simply did not want to carry a refrigerator up a set of stairs. We told them we'll do our business elsewhere.
We then called customer support to get our money back. The man on the phone told us he could not give us an immediate refund because the fridge had not been scanned into inventory at the warehouse. He said that right now the fridge is in our name. He then said that if he issues a refund right away, it would be a liability for them because the shipping company could be selling refrigerators off of the truck. Which is essentially what they could be doing anyways if the fridge never made it back to the warehouse. Now we do not have a fridge and we're out $1400 for 10 days which is a lot of money for our family right now. We have spent A LOT of money here in the past as we are building a new house, but now we are absolutely done with Home Depot. I will gladly take my business to Lowes and my local hardware stores.

We purchased this fridge from our local Home Depot a few years ago. Got all the extra extended warranties we could including a replacement for significant problems from Home Depot. Problems started a couple of years ago with the back of the fridge icing up: Service call 1: Replacement of the whole back of the fridge. Service call 2: Complete failure to cool down. The compressor had failed. It took them, and I kid you not five weeks to get the part in and fix it. We asked for a replacement or a temporary unit, nope. We got about $300 to compensate us for all the lost food, a small fraction of what it cost living without it (we have four kids) for over a month.
Service calls 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 (this one is maddening and took months to resolve): Unit started kicking the breaker erratically (sometimes hours or days apart). Our kitchen is up to code with arc fault breakers (saves a hundred lives a year). They said it was our house, but it would pop every breaker except for the old fashion heat up type (only useful to prevent fire, not electrocution -- did I mention we have four kids!). They tore the system apart looking for problems, over the course they replaced every circuit board in the system. No solution, "it is your house's fault; nothing we can do about it!"
Finally, after months with an extension cord running down the hallway to keep it on the ice maker started acting up, service came again (the same guy we are on first name bases), open it up and found a small water leak that was shorting out the circuit. Yes, this can cause arcs that will pop the breaker. Replaced whole ice maker and door panel. Yes! No more breaker problems. Finally, we don't have to worry about fried friends and family.
Service call 8. Back of the fridge iced up again. Replace the whole back of the fridge (again). Service call 9, 10, and ...? Ice maker leaking and making a big mass of ice. Replaced ice maker, service left (this was yesterday), but we never got ice, service guy came back today ("new ice maker should be working. Must be a bad connection, reconnected looks fine. Water coming in"). Hours later still no ice! We will call again, I guess.
In parallel to this, we have been calling both home depot and LG. Home Depot sold us the service contract, and LG manages it. Home Depot says, "wow, yes, they (LG) should replace the unit." LG, "we don't replace units service them; call Home Depot." Service guy, "You can ask LG for a replacement, but they will never do it." We have gone into the Home Depot and ask for a manager to discuss; they have no power; just call the same number. Ask for a manager at LG to get the same runaround. Not sure what's next, but if we weren't so busy, I'd go to small claims. BOTTOMLINE, don't buy any appliances from Home Depot!!! It is just not worth the hassle if you have a problem. The replacement guarantee is a lie. I would go anywhere else; I bet Amazon would even give you better service.

Multiple failed delivery attempts, we have easily spent over 10 hours on the phone with HD, LG and their shipping company. It is a complete nightmare. No one can get this very simple task of coordinating delivery of the washer and sidekick right. One party has said the sidekick was cancelled. Then the other says it wasn't. Then they say it is scheduled now and all ok. Then only 1 item shows up on the next truck and work order shows the other was cancelled.
Rinse and repeat... This process has gone through 3 cycles now... I've taken off work multiple times, removed a door and taken out and then reinstalled my old washer 5 times now. We've been on the phone with at least 8 different people on multiple occasions for well more than 10 hours total. I have never experienced the complete level of ineptness on the part of all 3 entities we have to deal with. I also don't understand, when we buy from HD, why WE have to spend so much time on the phone with the trucking company. I would drive to HD and demand to get a washer put on my truck, but they don't carry inventory. Everything ships from the manufacturer (that's what we were told anyway).
10 days ago we were on the phone for over an hour with someone at HD, after being "escalated" to someone higher up, and thought it was finally taken care of. Of course, today only the sidekick shows up and the driver then spends a bunch of time of the phone with HD and says the full size washer was cancelled... Bottom line, HD has had an unbelievable number of chances to get this right, and they can't. They either so completely inept that they can't, or they just don't care and they won't. Never buying from HD again and neither should anyone else. I am thoroughly disgusted, still out the value of the washer, and no idea when or if we will get it.

Home Depot Bethesda has been my store for years. It was the obvious place since I live so close to it. I have remodeled my whole house using their materials and products. Same with the gardening plants and supplies. In the past I have had to chase associates to get help with products, waited for long periods trying to get information over the phone, and return defective/broken products. I did not mind. They are my neighborhood store.
My last experience with Home Depot was a disaster. Last November I needed to replace my washer and dryer so decided to go there once again. Everything went well. The products were back ordered but I did not mind waiting for almost a month. The delivery day arrived. I did not get a call ahead but I thought they would just come. They never did.
Many phone calls and a store visit after, I was rescheduled for a week later. On the same day of the delivery, I get a call from the delivery company saying they would have to reschedule for the following week. I went to the local store and there was nothing they could do for me. It was a difficult situation. If I cancelled I would have to wait even longer so I decided to give them another chance.
After been rescheduled for the third time, on the same day when my delivery was expected, I get an email - not even a phone call - saying they would have to reschedule one more time. That was it for me. I went to the store and cancelled the order. I have had it. My health is more important so I decided to take my money somewhere else.
To this day, almost one week after proceeding with the cancellation of my order, my money has not been credited to my bank account. They say the system will not allow them to do it until later. It is such a sad and frustrating experience. At the end of the day they have the money and that is all Home Depot seemed to care about. I felt I needed to share this experience because other people need to be aware of this possibility when they shop from Home Depot. Their delivery associates are not to be trusted and are not held accountable and Home Depot's system is convenient just for the store itself. Just purchased a new set at another store which will hopefully be delivered in two days.

I have seen several posts on here very similar to our situation. We paid $900 for a dishwasher to be delivered. Once installing the unit we found it would not register the door being closed so would not start a load. We called the next morning and were told appliances could not be returned unless refused at time of delivery. Website said you have 48hrs from time of delivery. I was told by Lenah who was what she referred to as a salaried manager that their website was incorrect.
Talked to LG and they were amazing. They dealt with their Home Depot department to approved a refund. We then had to call the asst manager of our Home Depot because we had to get the refund from them. He looked on our acct and apologized for everything and said he would have LG call the next day to arrange a pick but I could come by the next morning with my debit card to go ahead and get the refund. Of course when I get there he was not there and I was told by another manager he was wrong. I would not be given a refund until the unit is back in a LG warehouse and they notify Home Depot they have issued them a refund. Basically would take 3 weeks. Obviously Home Depot is not concerned with customer service at all. Unbelievable.

My washer was struck by lighting so I was replacing it with the same exact one. In store purchase was great and professional the 3rd party delivery was a different story. I had scheduled it for my day off but was called into work. I had a friend stay at the house and paid her $100. When confirming the appointment I asked if he could have the door opening to the left, he said no and that I needed to call a tech for that. Weird but whatever. He was on time but parked 2 inches away from my brick mailbox and unloaded a front facing washer with the glass front against the dolly. He had no tools and wanted to leave the washer in my garage to go get tools. However my dishwasher guy was almost there and he able to assist.
My friend who had called me minutes earlier for tools then called again bc the delivery guy did not want to place the washer on top of the pedestal since there was no note on the order. Really??? I sent them packing with my new washer! Home Depot rep called to reschedule my delivery date for another week out. I asked to talk to a manager. She placed me on hold then after 5-6 minutes of holding she disconnected the call and didn't call back. But wait it gets better... I called corporate the next morning. She was nice, no doubt, but the lady previously noted that I hung up on her and the earliest delivery was now 2 weeks out. So.... I called Lowe's. They sent me a loaner washing machine and beat HD price by over $100. They also use a different (better) 3rd party delivery company. Hopefully I don't run into this with them.

I own a property management company and, therefore, need to get appliances replaced quite often. I am not sure which delivery company is delivering for Home Depot but three out of last five times I get a phone call that the truck has broken down, and they need to reschedule delivery. Time to start looking for a new company to order appliances from especially since other companies are price matching now.

My washer stopped working and I ordered a new washer and dryer online. This was a month and 5 failed delivery attempts ago and I still do not have a washer or dryer. The website does not explain what washer and dryers are compatible to be stacked with each other. In addition, it does not explain that the stacking kit needs to be purchased separately to installation services. The first attempt failed because the washer I purchased would not stack with the dryer that I already had. I decided to purchase a new washer and dryer to make sure they would stack. The second attempt failed because the delivery team got injured on a previous installation. The third attempt failed because the stacking kit has to be purchased separately to installation services.
At this point I physically went in to Home Depot to sort out this mess. I purchased the stacking kit and told the lady that it needed to be delivered at the same time as the washer and dryer, otherwise they wouldn't be able to install it. She assured me that it would, then forgot to actually reschedule the delivery of the washer and dryer. So after waiting another week, the delivery guy showed up with only the stacking kit.
Every failed delivery causes about a week delay before the next attempt. After waiting another week it snowed barely 3 inches overnight and they refused to deliver in such conditions. The roads were totally fine and free of snow, I have no clue what they are talking about. Home Depot sells snow shovels, I can't imagine they are snowed in. I do not recommend ever purchasing a washer and dryer from Home Depot, especially if you have to stack your washer and dryer. They have ZERO sense of urgency and could care less about your situation. You'd think they would be willing to reschedule me a bit sooner after 5 failed attempts in a row, nope.

Home Depot is our go-to store and there is rarely a week that we aren't in there. As the owners of several vacation rental properties, we rely on Home Depot to help us keep on track. It's painful to write this negative review but it has to be done because the experience was so egregious. We bought a washing machine on Black Friday and were told it would be delivered the following week. We were then called and told delivery would be a month out because they had so many deliveries. They then suggested we just return the item and purchase it again later (What?!). We declined to do that and complained about the delay. We were told by customer service that once the delivery was made we could request a partial refund that would cover us needing to use the laundromat for a month. We were then given a delivery window of noon-4. We both work so my husband started looking for a call around 11:30 am.
He got a vm around 10 am stating that they were headed that way. He called the delivery people and was told basically, "Too bad, you missed the delivery." This despite the fact that our delivery was scheduled at noon earliest! We were then told that it would be another two weeks before they got back out! After more complaints, we were again told we would be compensated for the laundromat and for the inconvenience. When we finally received our washing machine, more than 5 weeks after the purchase, Home Depot informed us we would be credited $75, not the $125+ we spent at the laundromat nor anything for the inconvenience.
This was such a bad experience and the delivery and customer service reps were so rude that we will be switching our business to Lowe's and local hardware stores. I added up what I spent at Home Depot over the last year and it was well over $5,000. I hope that the $75 or so they saved by not crediting us like they said they would was worth the loss of that business. It's already in effect - I just spent $80 on a ceiling fan. At Lowe's.

After selling my old appliances for cheap and adjusting my entire schedule to make sure I was ready for the delivery, I get a call 2 hours before delivery saying the truck never showed up last night. The soonest they can get my appliances that works with my schedule now is NEXT WEEKEND! I was not able to talk to a manager because apparently they don't work on weekends. I am very frustrated since now I have to live a week without a dishwasher, microwave, stove, or fridge. On top of that, I1 am having to cancel my Florida trip for next weekend to celebrate my nephew’s birthday because I have to stay here and wait for the new delivery. Very frustrated. Would give 0 stars if I could.

When ordering an appliance from Home Depot just make sure you take off an entire week to be able to receive your delivery because the company they have deliver it is horrible! From the moment they called they were trying to get us to reschedule our delivery because as the driver said "I've got 20 delivery today" so he has no time for me, someone who paid for it. The moment he got here he was refusing to take away our old dryer, which this is a service that we paid for. He got here, walked in my house, saw that he had to take my dryer into a basement and then said "it doesn't fit" and walked out of my house. This man didn't measure anything, didn't even take a look at anything. Just said it won't fit and then started an argument with me in front of my new born baby, cursing at me, and then gave me the finger and told me that in quote "you're not getting your ** dryer ever" and left.
I called home depot and all they said was, "Oh we can reschedule it...." Like I'm missing work now to get this delivery. What do you mean reschedule it? The guy didn't even try. But apparently that's not home depot's problem. They already got their money so they pretty much told us we're ** outta luck and they could care less about how the guy acted nor that he didn't even try. As the customer representative said they don't deliver the product, they have another company do it so it's not their problem. Really nice home depot. I will never ever, ever buy any other appliances from you again.
My biggest issue is that I have the same exact dryer in basement that I ordered but it won't fit.... Every Supervisor we spoke to was completely nasty to us about the situation as well to the point where the supervisor from home depot told me that he is refusing to even just reimburse us for one of us having to miss a day of work (because apparently this Tuesday is the only day they have available to deliver my dryer in the next 2 weeks!!!) and for us to wait for our delivery whenever that may be. 2 hours on the phone and they can't do anything except be nasty. They won't even do anything for us until after it's delivered because they want to make sure we're stuck with it so that they can ignore us from there. Terrible service. If I could give this a 0 star review I would but it's not allowed.

Do not buy this dryer or any appliance from Home Depot. We purchased 3 appliances from Home Depot recently. The LG dryer has not worked since day 1. On the first load, a nP error messaged appeared within 15 minutes of drying. I unplugged the unit and restarted it, same issue. I called LG and reported it within 48 hours. They told me it was an electrical issue so we sent an electrician to look at the outlet and electrical wiring. Our house is a new construction as well. He told us there was no issues with the electrical at all. We called Home Depot again and they sent another technician to look at the installation. The technician looked at it for 10 minutes and said it was a faulty unit and would order us a replacement. We never got the replacement order.
We called Home Depot.com again and they said it would take 24 hours for the technician to upload his service. Again, no one called us so we called back. We got transferred to the local Home Depot store. They told us they speak to their manager and call us back. Still no phone call from anyone. I called Home Depot 1-800 number again and they transferred me to a LG representative that said they would have to send their representative to do a service order and review it before sending us a replacement. This has been very very frustrating and we still have no answers or solutions. It was been 10 days. We purchased a brand new dryer that has not worked at all. Yet, home depot can not refund us or send us replacement. I did my research with this dryer and thought I was making the right choice. Buyers beware. This has been a horrible customer service situation.

We ordered a GE stove and dishwasher on December 7th and as of today, January 7th, it has yet to be delivered. Yesterday the 3rd scheduled delivery where the morning update told us "your appliance is on the truck" and ended with 2:00 call saying it could not be delivered. Calls to GE, Home Depot and the trucking company they use have not been solved the problem. Despite our situation being "expedited" they now say (with a straight face) that it can definitely be delivered on January 14, five weeks after our order! After reading other reviews here it seems that something has gone horribly wrong with Home Depot delivery service. Lowes does not carry the product we want or we would have switched a while ago. Other stores have higher prices. I have never had such abysmal service for anything, and that is saying a lot! I would not order from Home Depot until they can solve their massive delivery problem.

The salesman was very professional and helpful but the delivery team was incompetent and undependable. 1/3/2020 Home Depot schedule delivery for my Refrigerator, I took the day off from work to be available because my mother is handicap and would not be able to open the door.
I waited, until 1.54 PM. I called Home depot, delivery department, and talked to Jeremiah. He told that they had made an attempt at 1:45 but I had not been available, which is not true because I was at my home the entire time. In addition to myself, my mother and my dog were at the house the entire time. THERE WAS NO NOTE OR EVIDENCE THAT THEY THERE. They mention that they had pictures of house, probably from 8 months ago when I purchase another refrigerator.
I asked to speak to his supervisor, and instead he transfer to his coworker Diane who misrepresented her job title, and initially stated she was the supervisor. When she was not helpful, I again asked to speak to her supervisor, and she stated that the supervisor was Lora, but was not available, till Monday. I asked to be transfer to her extension to leave a message and I was told that, her supervisor, did not have her own phone extension.
VERY SAD, HOME DEPOT HAS NO SUPERVISORS AVAILABLE AND HAS LIMITED RESOURCES. I have purchased multiple appliances from Home depot, because of the quality of their products and services, but it seems that sadly the delivery department is undependable, and unprofessional. I may have to re-evaluate my choice of store, I may have to chose Lowes.

Deliver w/ no Installation or parts. I made an entire order of new appliances worth over $5,000. The delivery came on time but the work order had no installation for none of the appliances nor did they delivery any of the parts for installation that I paid for. The phone number to call never leads you to a real person. You have to select that you will be making a new order for you to speak someone. So it took me after 6x times of calling them to figure that out during the delivery to figure out what to do. Then that person had to talk to someone else.
I figured out HOMEDEPOT.COM has a glitch when ordering you can select installation with the parts and the only thing that will transfer over to the work order is the parts and not the installation. ONLY THEN were they able to reschedule an installation because they were trying to tell me I didn't select installation. SURE PLACE THE BLAME ON THE CUSTOMER INSTEAD. For the engineers working on homedepot.com they need to do a better Q&A testing before making changes to the site and this one might make a lot of customers unhappy.

We purchased a refrigerator on Dec. 3. We were told that it would be a 2 week delivery. We were fine with that. Well 2 weeks later, we get a call on the Thursday prior to delivery. Stating that our fridge would be delivered between 3 and 8 PM on Friday the 14. Friday came and no call and no fridge. Went to Home Depot that Saturday the 15th. They said that it is rescheduled for the 28th. Which was a Saturday. Saturday came and no fridge. Called home depot again and they contacted the delivery company and told them they don't deliver on Saturdays. So yet another reschedule on January the 3rd.
We were promised that we would get out fridge today. The delivery team arrived with our fridge and then was told they can't do it because it is raining. We were told that they deliver in any condition. So now it is rescheduled for the 10th of January. I've never seen a delivery team so incompetent. I will cancel my order and never buy anything from home depot again. I would advise anyone buying appliances from home depot to STOP!!! Save the trouble and go to LOWES!!!

The fridge was damaged out of the box. I was promised I would receive a call from their dispatch in the next 20 minutes about scheduling a second delivery for a working unit. 20 minutes passed. No call. I eventually called them and was given the run around.
Apparently Home Depot transfers the matter to the manufacturer, leaving it upon them to set up a follow up delivery. In this case, Whirlpool. It took several days before we had a rescheduled delivery, one over a week later on the 27th. (It was the 30th, but I got it bumped up.) The messed up thing is that I had to do a lot of follow up calls myself to learn what the heck was going on. I wouldn't have even known it was transferred to Whirlpool if I hadn't followed up on things myself. I also noted that if I had simply refused delivery/cancelled the fridge, and then ordered a whole new one through Home Depot I would've had a delivery date of the 26th. That makes no sense and the whole experience has sworn me off using Home Depot for future appliance purchases.

I then get call at 9:15 saying the delivery team is at my house and will wait 10 minutes and then have to leave. Their customer service rep says I'm lying about the 10 to 2 delivery window. She says that it will be Friday before they can try to redeliver and they will call me Thursday and give me a timeframe. I'm telling her I'm paying for this and they can't deliver when they feel like it. She's just holding the phone not saying anything. She's not trying to help at all. I just cancelled the order and bought my set from Lowe's. There's no problem with Home Depot but with this company they are using who don't care about the customer.

I purchased a refrigerator from Home Depot on October 27. It was scheduled for delivery on November 2. The delivery shows up with a damaged refrigerator. Home Depot said I had to deal with the delivery company. After many phone calls and escalations I finally got a refrigerator delivered on November 9. The refrigerator worked fine for about two weeks then suddenly stopped working. Called Home Depot only to be told again that I had contact manufacturer because Home Depot gives you 48 hours to report a problem. I can understand 48 for damages but not operating issues.
I was told my problem was due to refrigerator being in garage and I needed a garage kit. I call three of the companies Home Depot provided only to be laughed at about needing a garage kit. The manufacturer agreed to send someone out. It was scheduled for today only to get a phone call to say they couldn’t send someone out until January 9. You see I paid Home Depot 600.00 for this refrigerator and it only worked for 2-3 weeks but Home Depot has washed their hands of my purchase. While you think you are buying from Home Depot you are really buying from Appliance Depot and you only get 48 hours to identify issues! It is not my fault that the refrigerator stopped working!
Fortunate for Home Depot paid with Home Depot credit card. If I had used my Amex I would dispute and leave the refrigerator by the curb! I am very disappointed with Home Depot and their lack of concern to resolve my issue. I could understand if I purchased six months ago but it’s been 6 weeks and refrigerator only worked 2-3 weeks of that! I caution you against purchasing appliances from Home Depot because you have no recourse.
