A couple of years ago we had a home bathroom remodeling project and the contractor referred us to our local Home Depot for appliances and service for parts of the project. The results ended up adding a couple thousand dollars to the project with final unsatisfactory results. Eventually had to go elsewhere for the appliances and service to have things done correctly. Needless to say, we were pretty unhappy with Home Depot from that point on.
Flash forward to present day and some of the sting had worn off. Recently our refrigerator stopped working and I looked at multiple sources for a replacement. Home Depot had a product that suited our needs and the delivery date offered was in the near future, so I decided to give your company another chance. The purchase was made and the original delivery date was established as July 7. We were going to be out of town that day, so I called to see if we could reschedule to a later date not too far in the future. Unfortunately, the next open date was July 23, and that would be way too long to go without a refrigerator, since we had already had to throw some of our food out. As a result, I instructed the delivery service to keep the date of July 7, and I made special arrangements to have my daughter be at our house. We were told delivery would occur between 4 and 8 pm.
July 7 came and went without delivery of the refrigerator. When I called customer service to ask what had happened, they informed me that the delivery date had been changed to July 23. So now we are without a refrigerator for another 2-3 weeks. Apparently I have no other recourse at this time other than cancelling the order and trying to find a refrigerator somewhere else that could be delivered sooner. Guess I will explore this option, but in the meantime, in case anybody there actually cares, thought I would inform you of the poor customer service I have come to expect from Home Depot.

Home Depot appliance delivery is a joke. I ordered my new washer and dryer on 06/05/2020 with a delivery date of 06/30/2020. They first bumped my delivery date to 07/07/2020, which is today. My delivery window was 3 PM-7 PM. I got a call at 10:30 AM with a vague VM asking me to call back “at this number”... I called 3 times and it went to VM but there was no mailbox to leave a message. I’ve been sitting around my house for hours waiting. Then at 6:15 I get a call stating that they tried to deliver but got no answer. Keep in mind that was well before my 7:00 window ended... They refused to “come back” and wanted to reschedule for 7/14/2020! Total garbage!
I had to gather several friends to help me move heavy furniture and clear a path for them today... Now my house is trashed and they absolutely lied about attempting delivery. There was nothing I could do, my word against theirs. I canceled the order and I will never buy anything from Home Depot again... not even a screwdriver. Worst customer service I have ever received in my entire life. What a waste of an entire month that I can never get back. Boo, Home Depot, boo.

Purchased a GE washer & dryer and an LG refrigerator on May 21 with a delivery date of May 29. On May 27 I was told the delivery would be delayed to June 16! I'm new to Las Vegas, in a brand new home with no fridge! Home Depot blamed LG for the delay to which I complained to LG but it turned out LG delivered the fridge to the Home Depot shipping on May 28 so it was Home Depot who held my fridge to make only one delivery on June 16! But they were quite happy to point the finger at LG.
Appliances arrive on June 16 but the washer is defective and needed to be returned. July 3 is the new delivery date! 5 weeks with no washer and now Home Depot is offering me $50 as an inconvenience fee! What a joke of a company and customer service. They don't care -- at all! I previously purchased with RC Willey but Home Depot made 'better' promises to me...how stupid was I to believe them! Anything to make a sale Home Depot! DO NOT purchase from this moral lacking company. You'll regret it ... I have.

NEVER order major appliances or contract Home Depot's home improvement services. The minimal savings on the front end or ability to use your store card is not worth the shameful lack of proper service you'll NO DOUBT suffer from on the back end!! This is my 2nd time in about 4 yrs and both times were nightmares! Their appliance delivery department is an astonishingly, shameful mess! They must still be using paper files with a dept only staffed by unpaid, part-time interns to track appliance orders. Customer service is an endless loop of extremely long hold times, being transferred to the wrong departments, apathetic or unknowledgeable customer service reps who each give you different answers AND THERE IS ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY from the lower level reps to upper management!
I typically wait to order major appliances around major holidays so I can maximize on the sales. I ordered 4 appliances on May 18th. Today is July 7th and THEY RESCHEDULED MY DELIVERY 7 TIMES!! The last 2xs they waited until the delivery time frame to give the same dog ate my homework excuse of "THE DELIVERY DRIVER HAD AN EMERGENCY AND THE DELIVERY HAS TO BE RESCHEDULED!!!" And I already had to cancel 2 appliances from that initial order and reorder from a different brand because one of the many reps I spoke to believed those 2 were the reason for the delays. Clearly he was wrong! When the 2nd order was delivered we couldn't even accept the fridge cause it was visibly damaged! So in total 1 item has been delivered to date!
I have FIVE KIDS that includes 2 toddlers and I WORK FULL TIME at a demanding job. My husband is in the MILITARY so he is GONE a lot. We rent out the house he bought when he was stationed at Fort Bragg. We purchased these appliances for a family of four whose lease began on June 1st. Due to this debacle we had to rent 2 appliances from Rent A Center so the family can cook and have a place to store perishables. If we didn't do that this family would have no appliances in the middle of quarantining due to the pandemic!
There are companies that are just as big that have fail safes in place that prevents customers from getting lost in their huge customer service maze. Clearly this company does not. IT BOILS DOWN TO THIS since THEY ARE THE MCDONALDS' OF HOME IMPROVEMENT. They do not care if they lose customers due to poor service because they'll make money off of all the others who have yet to know their fate.
Home Depot's standard store card typically only gives you 6 months interest free anyway. So you are better off having a regular credit card that you keep at a zero balance so when you need to make a major purchase you will probably have an offer for 12 or 18 month interest free once you add a balance. So go to an appliance only store or a company that only focuses on the home improvement service you need and put it on that credit card. Home Depot is only good for quick in store purchases. (Even with that good luck finding a store clerk willing to help!) YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!!!

Ordered online: June 29, 2020. Scheduled delivery was July 3rd, it was a good deal on a washer dryer combo unit with free pick up and a charged install. I can't review that unit because the delivery drivers did not read the delivery instructions, so I don't have the unit yet. 2 homes & 2 driveways on address use the north driveway. (The street runs north and south, no curves no excuse for confusion.) They parked at the south driveway which is obscured from my house.
(8:44am) In an effort to be courteous and make things easier I decided that since they hadn't shown up at the door or in the driveway yet and I still had time I would get my car out of the way for when they eventually arrived. I planned to park in the other house's driveway since they are cool with it in situations like this, plus it was almost 9 in the morning and they were sound asleep.
As I round the end of my driveway and can see the top of the other driveway. I see the delivery truck parked. They were standing outside the truck, watched my car exit the north driveway, drive in the shoulder (our property still) and enter the neighbor's driveway they were parked in front of. I waved at the delivery people as I got closer who waved back. As I park (in the driveway that they are also in front of) but before I can get out of the car, they quickly Jumped into their truck and drove off without a word.
My delivery window was 8:30am to 12:30pm. No one called me, texted or emailed. I started trying to call immediately (approx 8:47am). I could not get through to the"Correct" department at Home Depot until 1:03pm. Using the numbers provided in the email order confirmation and on the website were not helpful. I navigated IVR systems that ask for your zip code. Say they are transferring you to the correct department then hang up (repeatedly), or say your delivery is still on schedule at 12:45pm (after the window for delivery), customer service reps who don't have access or info on Online deliveries but take your number and promise to get the delivery sorted out from the correct department and call you back.
When I finally am able to get through to the right department myself (Never got the callback) I am informed via relay since I can't talk to the 3rd party delivery company myself. They knocked at the house and no one answered and I'll have to reschedule. I explained what happened, that they did not knock on the correct house, that they had ignored the delivery instructions... that they saw me and drove off anyway... This of course made no difference.
The neighbor confirmed they did not ring the doorbell because by now it was late enough they were awake and had been for a while. I had today off work. I now have to arrange for either myself or someone to be able to be here on Tuesday the 7th for a rescheduled appointment that I won't find out the timeframe for until the 6th "at some point" via text, which makes arranging things soo easy. (I'm the only driver for my household and we both work at the same business and carpool.)
Bottom line. I am frustrated, irritated and angered by how today went. No clear number to call. No ability to contact 3rd party delivery/installer company directly. This is bad customer service. I didn't screw up. They did. I should have had a delivery driver back out here with my install & pickup of the old unit the same day, within the delivery window. No excuses. (Screw ups happen, fine, but own it.) No one called me about any of this, not when they didn't get an answer at the door etc. and to not even ring the doorbell? My advice would be if you choose to use home depot, pick it up and install it yourself. We'll see how the next appointment goes but I am not feeling good about it.

Ordered appliances on April 21st 2020. Chose May 26th as my delivery date. Called on May 26th because had not received my delivery time. Appliances were backordered. They were in stock when I ordered and paid for them. Delivery delayed until June 16th. Received a recorded message on June 14th delaying delivery again until June 30th. Called on June 29th confirming delivery for the 30th. I was told appliances were in fact at the warehouse and being loaded on the truck and that I would receive a call later in the day with my delivery time. No call. Called on June 30th, guess what, missing 2 of 3 appliances. Done. Cancelled order and will never order from Home Depot again. Takes 7 - 14 days for refund. Took 1 day to debit my account. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

I purchased a refrigerator online from Home Depot. On the day of installation, one of the team members called me and informed me of what I needed to do before they arrived. I did everything they asked, except for that I struggled to get the copper water line off the fridge with my wrench. When they arrived, the one team member was extremely rude to me right off of the bat. He began berating me that he could not fit our fridge through the garage door, even though I had measured it prior and it was wider than my new fridge. Finally, his other team member grab his measuring tape and measured it and they both realized I was correct.
Then they came inside to inspect our fridge area. I explained to him that I was having a hard time getting the copper pipe off of the fridge. He asked if I had shut off our water valve. I said yes and that I had tested the water to make sure it was off. He then rolled his eyes at me and said that he can’t help me or instruct me how to get the copper pipe off and laughed. He then told me I shouldn’t be doing things that I’m not good at (I’m a women, btw). I was completely taken aback by his comments. I told them I would figure out myself and then they literally just left me with a broken fridge and a new fridge in my garage. I will be calling back and complaining and I will make sure that I receive my money back for the installation kit and removal of old fridges. Those delivery men were extremely disrespectful towards me and should be reprimanded for such unprofessional behavior. I will never order from Home Depot again.

RIDICULOUSLY LAZY and incompetent. Uncaring. I spend 1,500 on an advanced Samsung Washer and Gas dryer appliances. Waited over a week and a whole day for them to come and when they finally came they came with jokes and complete bogus excuses for why they can't do the job I paid them to do. I would not get anything delivered from HOME DEPOT the people they employ do not care and what's worse is if you call HOME DEPOT they also won't care.
I won't get into the long story but bottom line is they didn't want to work and despite me paying them a lot of money I had to do the installation and delivery of the appliances myself which in itself isn't a bad thing, but I'm older and sedentary and health wise advised not to do such strenuous work myself. That was the reason I paid them to do it. The first thing they did when they came was produce jokes that they weren't going to install it. Then they went thru the motions of saying they will but after connecting a hose and removing my old gas line connection hose by unscrewing it the guy didn't want to work anymore. He lied about that he can't take off my older connector to replace with the other sized connector because of paint? Then he lied saying it was cemented shut?
I offered to do the connector removal but he told me it was already too late and they left the machines in my garage essentially forcing me all by myself to bring them inside my home and to connect them myself. HOME DEPOT should be ashamed. Worse is they should be ashamed that they have virtually no mechanism to complain or voice issues likely by design because I'm sure they have these same lazy incompetents doing the same to other people like they did me. FOR 1,500 I should had gotten much more than what I got - grief and issues.

After 12 emails... they are going to give me credit to return it... so before you buy any large appliance at Home Depot... check to see if that company has a service agent in your area... because Home Depot will do nothing about warranty problems... You are on your own... They are just a middle man.

They had a sale of several hundred off of a Samsung range and fridge. They could not sell us the products at the advertised price because of where we live because they do not deliver to our ZIP code area. I said I would pick up myself. They said price was for delivery only. Nowhere was that mention in the advertising. I know Home Depot doesn't need my business, but for the principle of it I will never shop there again. This kind of false advertising is unethical and borders on discrimination to me.

I orders a cold press juicer on their website, upon logging in I received a 10% discount code which I tried to use on checkout, I couldn't find the coupon box and went through to pay via Paypal thinking it would take me back to the website to review my payment and add the coupon code before proceeding to payment. However this went straight through.
I then emailed advising the customer support team of the error as these things happen and didn't think it would be an issue with the company, I received no response after 3 days so I emailed again to the support team, no response, so emailed again. I then finally received a reply 6 days later, the reply I received from Robertson at Home Depot was truly appalling, referencing their policy and that they are under no obligation to refund the money and advised me to cancel my order, I then replied advising of my disappointment and letting them know to cancel my order, I then received a response advising that it was already posted so they can't cancel, with no other options provided. I strongly recommend you shop somewhere else online, I won't be making the mistake of going through this company again and I wish I had read the similar reviews people have made online with this company before ordering.

Almost six months without a working kitchen due to the negligence of the Home Depot's install services. They "attempted" to install on 12/31/19 and due to a faulty install, damaged my kitchen beyond use. They passed their responsibility on to "their" totally inadequate insurance company who did nothing for 6 weeks. It was after mold started growing that I asked my own insurance company for help. Home Depot's install services should not be used! To date the bill is way over $50k for a simple dishwasher install and I still do not have a kitchen. Try eating out during covid on top of that horrendous experience! I would never use their services again and I have many opportunities to do as a Property Manager. Stay clear of them or plan on eating out often!

I bought a washer & dryer set from Home Depot. The in store experience is fantastic and very helpful. The store manager helped me and answered all my questions, I ultimately decided to buy a more expensive model from Home Depot because I was very satisfied with the experience. Problem arises with delivery and post purchase customer service from Home Depot. Home Depot's third party delivery company - Spirit Delivery - did not deliver my appliance and I had to contact Home Depot for a resolution.
When I contacted Home Depot customer service to find a way to get my appliances delivered or available for in-store pickup I was placed on hold for 2 hours. When I was finally able to talk to a human, they had zero power to help in any regard. They tried to contact the delivery company and the store manager (same one I bought the appliance from) and both parties were unable to come to a compromise to deliver my appliance in a timely fashion. After being on the phone for a total of 4 hours with zero progress, I ultimately cancelled my order and bought the same appliances through Lowe's where I can pick it up in store. Before buying an appliance from Home Depot, I highly recommend confirming the delivery carrier and doing research on the delivery carrier before buying the item.

I am highly disappointed in Home Depot. I have been waiting over 2 months for a product. That the manufacturer has said is in stock. We even called the manufacturer ourselves to verify it was in stock (because the customer service rep we talked to told us to call). I totally understand the pandemic. But, I can't just let this slide. Because we placed the order April 14. Here it is June 10. Still no correspondence from Home Depot (unless WE call them) about our order.
It was first supposed to be delivered last month on the 20th. Then HOME DEPOT rescheduled, not us because they claimed they lost the order. They rescheduled and informed us it was lost due to a system glitch, only after we called asking where our product was. So, here comes this month. It is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. We called today to get some sort of confirmation. They have us the typical messages of we would get a call. Well, we never did last month. So, we insisted on answers. Well, apparently we are not getting this product again this month.
We were on the phone with a supervisor named Judy whom hung up on us (we were not being rude). We had actually came to an agreement of getting some compensation for all of this and she was trying to get our product for us, but she hung up and has yet to call back. So, we called back. We talked to yet another rep. They said it would be rescheduled for July (so we are waiting yet ANOTHER month because of them, not us!). They also said they would send us a gift card through e-mail for $175 (for our frustration, this isn't even half of what the order cost us). However, we never received that e-mail either. So, who did they send that e-mail to, because it certainly wasn't us. They have our e-mail, because it is what we used when making our online order.
This is ridiculous. I looked through many other vendors before choosing Home Depot to do business with. Then your company wants to jerk me around. I am already in contact with the AG office here in Missouri. They have my complaint. I am also contacting the BBB. You can't just take somebody's money and not communicate anything with them. Please make this right, I just want my product that I have paid for!

Then they also told me it would take another month for delivery. Spent 2 hours on the phone with customer service (most of the time on hold) to finally get my order cancelled and money refunded but they still won't send a confirmation email for the refund so I'll be disputing it with the credit card company. I will never purchase anything from Home Depot again!

Home Depot sells the appliance, a different company delivers and drivers don’t know how to install, a third company handles delivery schedules. After reading the other reviews about Home Depot Appliance delivery, I am left astonished that they still dare to offer delivery of their appliances. The soonest I was to get a delivery appt for my washer and dryer was 18 days after my order date. I patiently wait and delivery day comes. I wait all day for the delivery to arrive, checking the status on-line. With 30 minutes left in my delivery window period and 1 delivery ahead of me I receive a call from the delivery company claiming that their truck broke down and my delivery needed to be rescheduled.
The gal makes a point to add to the conversation that reschedules are being rescheduled for the 15th (15 days after their missed appt) but making an exception and offering me a Tuesday the following week. Why not Monday? Well they are booked and apparently those orders take precedence. She made it sound like I should be appreciative that I was getting granted a special delivery day...3 days after they missed the appt and not 2 weeks. I have had a problem with Home Depot since May 1st of 2020. I came to the store to look for a washer and dryer for Mother's Day and pick out the one for her. Now I usually don't deal with home depot for stuff like this because of your ratings and yes I read all reviews before purchasing anything from a store. So I purchased a washer and dryer from the home depot because she said she wanted it from there because it was close to home. I was very leery but that was where she wanted so I went. Purchased the MVWB765FW washer @642.00 and MGDB765FW dryer @ 753.00 with a 10 % discount on appliances @ 396.00. So they never checked to make sure the product was in stock when I paid the money.
They sent me an email on May 8th stating that the dryer was not available until Saturday, July 18th which I thought was ridiculous so I went to home depot and asked them why so long for the dryer. They never told my mom that they would have to build a whole new dryer because they were out of the one she wanted. So I tried calling a couple of times just to get hung up on which is very disrespectful at any given time.
When I got to the store they had already talked with someone through customer service so they were gonna upgrade her to the newer model which was fine at the price we already paid for. So when salesperson Janette ** called back to find out if they were gonna still give me the deal they said o.k but when went to the Manager who was on Duty that day of May 11th he didn't want to do it so I had to pay for an upgrade and to redo the whole transaction over with me owing them 166.43 which I paid since she was getting the upgrade. Lo and behold the day of delivery they come with the color of white which should have been Metallic slate. What I paid for.
It was just too much to deal with at the time so I went up to the store and asked for the manager named Jo who never since the whole process has begun to come and say, "Well I'm sorry this keeps happening and that we will do this for you for your time coming up here." Just nothing wouldn't even show his face which I think is bad customer service for him and the entire store. But the delivery guys were awesome. Juan ** and Jose ** very respectful gentlemen. These other salespersons are very nasty and rude **- Janette and ** - Sally also **- Ariel. Order No. **.
I will never ever purchase anything as long as I'm living and breathing from Home Depot store number 1911 Cicero, Il ever again. All I want is my money back from the upgrade and you will never hear from me again and if I don't receive it I will take you to small claims court over it. I work too hard for my money and to be treated this way is unheard of. This will also go on your reviews so that you know how your employees are "UNBELIEVABLE." Patricia **

I purchased my Samsung refrigerator in 2015 along with 5 year protection Plan. I failed to receive notification from Asurion, the provider of this plan, to renew. They did not send a needed letter with a code to do this. They are now refusing to renew the warranty stating I allowed it to lapse, yet no letter with a needed code was sent to my home. Of interest, in November 2019 I had to use the warranty as the refrigerator needed service. I confronted them with the issue of not notifying me as I had had to use the warranty and this cost them money. they disagree. If I had received this letter I would have used the code to renew. I have contacted the BBB but Home Depot refuses to assist with this matter.
Asurion is a third party to Home Depot. I want consumers to know what happened to me. I now have no warranty for this appliance. Home Depot encouraged me to contact Samsung, the manufacturer to see if they might sell me a warranty and they offered 100.00 towards the purchase if I could do this. I bought a stove and the extended three year warranty from the Aiken SC Home Depot on 2/5/18. On 5/6/20 the glass stove top broke when I turn it on to cook breakfast. I called the Aiken Home Depot where we bought it and was told by one of the guys there to bring it in. I argued and said, "We had it delivered, it is busted and the glass is fragile..." He insisted we bring it in. So we taped the top as best we could to try and keep it together on the 15 mile trip in the back of my husband's truck to the store.
We went inside and went to customer service as we were instructed and finally got Cliff the assistant manager. Cliff informed us that whoever we spoke to had misinformed us and and to take it home and await a service call. We were scheduled a service call from Asurion (who does Home Depot's warranties) on 5/13/20 between 12 and 4 pm. On 5/13/20 at 11:15 we received an email from Sloan Appliance company asking us to take a survey about our repair experience. I called them and spoke with Sara and told her we were scheduled for an appointment from 12-4. She said, "Actually, Home Depot and Whirlpool canceled your appointment on 5/6/20 at 12:11." I said no that cannot be right. We even spoke with assuring on 5/6/20 to try and get the appointment escalated.
We spoke with Gisselle, Sara, Ilean, and Derrick at Asurion on 5/6/20. We again called Home Depot in Aiken on 5/13/20 and spoke with Leanna who was nice, but could do nothing to help us. We also left a message for Gloria and spoke with Margaret and then Leanna again. We were told we could call back and speak with Cliff tomorrow, but we had to try and get yet another service call. We did not cancel the first one and have been given the run around since the beginning from both Home Depot and Asurion.
We have been a week w/o a stovetop or oven in a pandemic in an area where going out is dangerous and a lot of restaurants are closed or on reduced hours. I am also a diabetic and my husband has been out of work for 8 weeks because of this pandemic. We do not have the money right now to buy another stove and what good is the 10 manufacturer's warranty or the three year Home Depot/Asurion warranty if they will not service, replace, or refund our money?

I had a refrigerator delivery scheduled for Saturday May 2nd. When the delivery company showed up it was clear from the start they didn't want to do it. I have a townhouse where the kitchen is on the 2nd floor. They told me specifically that I needed to remove a lighting fixture on my landing so they could clear the space and install a shut off valve for the water dispense behind the fridge. They would not deliver it and left. I paid for someone to come and install the valve and took the light fixture down and had a reschedule date for today, May 13 (earliest they could do).
Two different delivery men showed up and once again, once they saw stairs, clearly didn't want to do it. The new story was that they couldn't clear the angle on my staircase without damaging the walls and would have to pay personally out of their own pockets for any damage. They then took their tools, went and called the delivery company who called me and said they couldn't deliver again. They again left and I'm still without a refrigerator. This is after two times of clearing out my refrigerator and freezer and I'm left with nothing. Refrigerators are delivered all the time in my complex. Home Depot should be embarrassed. Sadly, they won't care.

I purchased a washer and dryer, on April 7, 2020 and received it on May 5, 2020. Purchased all upgraded accessories for installation. Delivery team came and did not install anything because the vent they brought was too short, therefore the feet on the dryer were not put on, power cord not installed onto the dryer, washer hoses not connected, washer not leveled. They just dropped them off and left!
I called Home Depot, on hold the first time for 45 mins and got nowhere, called second time on hold for 2 hours and 15 no one picked up, third call on hold for 40 mins and was told too bad so sad because install was free. No, the install was included in my purchase. My husband spent an entire day tipping the dryer over to put feet on it, watching youtube videos to install the power cord, etc. I ran load in the dryer and it burned out and no longer works. I had it for 24 hours! I have little kids, laundry is piling up and home depot refuses to provide proper customer service!

I went into the store and bought a refrigerator to have it delivered the following Saturday. That Saturday they attempted to deliver it but after they took it off the truck they opened it up and saw it was cracked inside so they had to take it back to the warehouse because they could not leave it or give me a loaner one and saying that someone would call me about the next step. Not once did they allow me to look at it and they said they took pictures of it. No one from delivery called me back so I had to call them and was told they need to call the manufacturer about getting a replacement. They call me back a day later saying the manufacturer would not replace the item and that my entire order was canceled because I supposedly told the delivery guys to cancel this order which I know I never said I canceled it. They said because the order was canceled that they have credited my bank account.
I checked and was not seeing anything so I called them back where they told me that I had to go into the store to either re order or ask for a refund. So I go to the store and asked for a refund. The store would not refund the amount because they had to wait for the paperwork from the vendor which would take days. So I have been out of a refrigerator for 2 weeks and ended up going to an appliance store to shell out more money on another one which I should have done in the first place. This all sounds very fishy with all the run around they gave me and not giving me a refund, so I am disputing this with my bank. Don't ever buy an appliance from Home Depot.

I received the phone call the day prior to delivery (4/28/20) confirming delivery for 4/29/20. I have everything ready and I'm waiting for my new washer the morning of 4/29/20 between 8am-noon. Nothing. I get an email at 11:30am stating that my delivery has been delayed until May 23rd.... Seriously??? The day of delivery and pushed 3 weeks out, not to mention after confirming by phone the day before. And an EMAIL? So unprofessional.
I called the Home Depot number and followed the automated system to get some information. Half an hour on hold later, I gave up. I canceled my order online. Now I hope to get my refund in 3-5 business days. It's Wednesday, I ordered another washer on BestBuy.com to deliver on Saturday. I bet I get my new washer from BestBuy before I even get my refund from Home Depot... Horrible service. I will never shop Home Depot again (Hello, Lowe's).

They were supposed to bring our refrigerator and hook it up. They came an hour past when they called, I’d already taken on the food out, and then they said they couldn’t hook up the water line and that they wouldn’t unhook it and leave it out so that we can be able to get our food back in later when fridge gets cold. He said we have to call A plumber and then call them back. But I know for sure when Contractors worked on our floor previously they were able remove the refrigerator line and leave the waterline in a bucket. This is very inconvenient. They did not tell us ahead of time that there was anything we needed to do to be able to hook up a refrigerator. Not impressed.

I bought a ceiling fan from Home Depot online. It was suppose to come with a remote and didn't. I've been calling every day for two weeks already, and stayed on the phone 20-55 minutes each time I called NOT KIDDING to get nobody to answer!! All I want is what I paid. $150.00 is a fan and a remote that goes with it. Well their website says I can text as well, so I decided to text the number a day later. Still no response, so I texted again telling them what I'm telling you. Finally someone texted me telling me he would help me to worry. I'm like omg! Thank you so much!! I really appreciate you.
I gave him my info. Said he had to look it up. Said it would take 3-5 minutes. 4 hours later I texted him back and said, "Hello did you forget about me?" He finally after another hour said, "Sorry we're really busy. Let me get the vendor on the line," and that was the last time I heard back. I texted the number again this morning, and their online automated text said. "Thank you for contacting The Home Depot. To support the high volume of help requests resulting from COVID-19, we have temporarily suspended messaging services. Our customer service team is still available. Please call us at 1-800-430-3376 between 6am ET to 2am ET." say
Meanwhile, I called again just to get no answer again. I WILL NEVER BUY HOME DEPOT ONLINE EVER! I WOULD RATHER BUY FROM AMAZON! I purchased a Samsung fridge in 2017. The salesperson told me to purchase the 5 year warranty as if you have 2 calls on it. They simply allow you to get a new one. Like a Lemon Law. Also we all know appliances are not built as they once were. I purchased the warranty and the fridge did go bad in a year or so. Fixed it, I called and told the appliance repair and Home Depot it does work...however doesn’t sound the same as before it was fixed. It’s a unit I use in my cabin in Northern Michigan, so I generally only get there on weekends.
I called last Sunday the 4/19/20 and was told and sechedule dan appointment for Monday afternoon - great! Those people didn’t show. Said due to Coronavirus they no longer service this area. But I found out by calling them (appliance people) Home Depot did not call me, I did the work. Called Home Depot, sent someone else out A & E (Sears) and they showed up in Wednesday and as was checking out said this was a “cash call” meaning I pay them not Home Depot or warranty. I explained that was incorrect - I don’t mind paying, but this is a warranty call. He leaves. Understandable but frustrating. Now the 5th time I’ve thrown food out of my fridge.
Call Home Depot, they tell me a guys in the way - I explain he just left, didn’t know this was a warranty call. Ask if they could contact A&E and correct that. Now Friday - no one contacted. My fridge is literally dead - I have called Home Depot on 10 occasions. On Wednesday (afternoon) they sent me to a “manager” - he couldn’t make a decision, however assigned me to a person and said this person will fix this and call within 24 hours after this escalation - it’s now Friday 4/24/2020 - no call from the “assigned rep”. In fact no call back from any Home Depot in these 6 days and when I called in today the lady said we should have an answer by Monday.
I explained even if you do on Monday, it will be Tuesday or Wednesday and then they’ll have to get parts - this will be 2 weeks. I explained To her sales guy says 2 calls - "I’ll bring the fridge to the West Branch Mi Home Depot and they can plug it in and see it doesn’t work, I’ll buy a new fridge and when you certify it just send me the money you said you would (old purchase price) - like the sales guy and warranty says and we’re good!"
Their warranty service is ** and they are not good to deal with. It’s outrageous that they would not have an appointment schedule in 6 days, now going to be 10 at least as we’re at the weekend. Don’t call anyone back. They cannot find someone to service Samsung in the area.... Then why do you sell it here? I find it outrageous and corporate America at its best! Samsung makes bad fridges - got it - sales guy says 2 visits and we replace the unit (over exaggeration or lie - you decide) Home depot and their service - this is outrageous.
They sold a warranty and can not or will not even get someone out here. What if someone else visited my cabin and didn’t know fridge was bad and ate some food and got sick and had to go to hospital during this pandemic time? Poor service and poor quality of and from Home Depot. I put them on the same line as FM. And Buick who sold me a new car with a 2.4 engine and has an oil consumption problem from Chinese engines, that they know about, but don’t want to fix that problem as they, too, are Pieces of **!

Lowe’s was no better: the Laurel store told me they were out out of the unit I wanted and I would have to travel 20 miles to their Glen Burnie store to order! I bought an oven because ours did not work on 3/19. I paid for delivery, installation, and take away. They delivered the stove a week later, but could not install because I didn't know how to turn off the gas. OK. I learned how to turn off the gas and called for them to come and install. It was a week. They said that they came, but they didn't. I know this because my dogs go crazy when someone comes to the door. So, I called and complained, but they refused to have the guys come back. Another week.
Today they refused to come because the gas valve was in the basement right below the stove. I called them and they would only come back if we installed a new gas valve at the site. I was so angry and frustrated because not only did they not come at all so they could take away the broken oven, so we could install ourselves, we have to wait another week. I told them to just return our installation and take away fees and we would do it ourselves. I will never, ever use Home Depot's delivery service again. Also, we I tried to write a review on HD's web site, it was impossible.

Next time you need new appliances, think again before ordering from Home Depot. I had a delivery of a refrigerator and microwave range scheduled for today between 7am-11am. In addition to drop off, an extra fee was paid for install of the water line for the fridge. (The range was solely a drop off). I set aside my morning, ensuring I planned my meetings around their convenience. I pulled everything out of my broken fridge (which you can imagine is a large amount of food given the quarantine). Everything was cleaned and ready to go.
When they arrived they said they needed to call their boss, and left the house, but didn’t say why, and soon after I had customer service call me and say that GE does not allow the installers to touch copper lines which is what I have on my fridge. (Keep in mind, this was never something outlined in the parameters or instructions they give you to prepare for your delivery). She said that they can deliver the new fridge but can’t take the old one. I asked her if we got it disconnected, if they could take the old one as well and she said that they would and to just let the delivery person know.
My boyfriend was able to turn the water line off and get the copper line disconnected from the fridge. When the delivery person came back into my home, we informed him of this and he immediately said “I’m taking fridge back to the warehouse”. I asked what that meant and he ignored me and started walking away. I said, "Excuse me excuse me" as I also followed him and he refused to respond or even acknowledge that I was trying to get his attention. He exited my house and starting rushing back to his truck. I continued to follow him still trying to get his attention and he continued to ignore me as he jumped into the driver seat of the truck and told his partner to get in the passenger side.
I continued to say, "Excuse me" and he said, "One moment". And I said, "No, I want my fridge and range - you’re obligated to deliver it". I told them that they’re both in their seats with the truck turned on and they appear to have no intention of delivering the appliances that are owed to me. (Mind you, the range was delivery only from the start so there’s no reason that shouldn’t have been delivered). With that, they sped off with no explanation and with my appliances still in tow. I then had to reconnect my old (and leaking fridge) and reload everything back inside that I had just unloaded 30 min prior.
Home Depot’s resolution? Rescheduling another appointment for next week that I will now have to block time for, and go through the entire process of unloading a very full fridge and freezer again. The level of disrespect and lack of customer service is unacceptable. I cannot believe that a big name like Home Depot works with contractors that treat their customers this way. I am also extremely disappointed in Home Depot’s nonchalant response of “just rescheduling the appointment for next week.” They did nothing to turn this around into a positive experience which is very telling.

Horrible experience purchasing a Samsung refrigerator. Ordered online with a delivery date of 03/14. The fridge was delivered damaged. Delivery company contacted GE Home Delivery who ordered us a new fridge. We waited Another 5 days for delivery. We were told that they had to change our delivery date due to "truck error" and our new delivery date was 4 days from that date. We were told that after the fridge was delivered, we would be compensated for not having a fridge for 10 days. Today the fridge came. They offered to give us $50 and that's all they could do.
Our family of 4 has been eating restaurant food for the past 4 days because the fridge did not come before we moved into the house, with no fridge, as we had arranged. This has been a major inconvenience, not to mention the money lost due to eating every meal out. Such a disappointment from such a reputable corporation. Ultimately, the error falls on Home Depot where we purchased the refrigerator. Still waiting to hear back from anyone from either company.

It was loud so I opened the lid thinking it was unleveled since I was washing a small load of clothes. What I found was that the water was not filling up in the machine. Long story short, I've spoken to the assistant manager, the store manager and the corporate office and no one is willing to exchange the washing machine.
They said, I should have reported it within 48 hours. I asked what about the 90 day return policy. They said it doesn't apply to appliances. I asked how would I have known that. We purchased this washer and the matching dryer on February 15th via the website (this page) and they were delivered on February 22, a Saturday after the stated time interval, and after Home Depot's support department was closed. After they installed it and left, I discovered that the LED lights were not functioning properly on the main panel and called it in, but was not able to obtain any resolution due to the day and time. I also registered the product on Samsung's website and sent in a service request directly to Samsung since I had no idea what Home Depot was going to do about it.
I did get in touch with Home Depot on Monday and they told me to go ahead and let the Samsung (NISI) tech come look at it and call them back when he did. Samsung sent out a technician on February 25 (Tues) from their official NISI contractor and he determined that the unit had been damaged either in the plant, during shipping or during installation and that he could not fix it. We called Home Depot, who put us through to their Samsung people and initially got some pushback but eventually they agreed to replace it, but they couldn't do so until March 3, a week later. During this time we had the dryer, which I had to help the Samsung tech take down from the washer, sitting in the middle of our small living room. Finally, they showed up early in the morning on March 3 and installed the new unit which worked fine. At that point we had not been able to do laundry for a week.
Today, March 7, we realized that the installation team had somehow damaged both the hot and cold water taps/handles and that water had been slowly leaking down the pipes and under the floor. It also wicked into the drywall. In order to determine this I had to once again move the units out of the closet. So I called Home Depot to let them know about this and they are supposed to be sending an "Installation Check" person but I have no idea when. And I also filed a claim with them regarding the damage to our house. But once again, I have two appliances just sitting out of the closet, blocking two other doors, and I've had to turn off the H/C water taps and wrap the pipes in towels that I remove every hour or so after they soak through.
This has been an utter nightmare. We live in a small house and I have had to take days off of work, spent literally hours on the phone, and now we're looking at a major floor replacement job because of the ineptitude of Home Depot's installation teams and the incredible slowness of their first replacement. I now fully expect them to claim that the taps were already old/damaged, but they were not. There was no problem with our previous washer in that regard, nor was there any problem with the taps on the *first* (defective) unit they installed and later replaced. The only time water started leaking from *both* taps was after their second installation/replacement, and since *both* hot and cold are now damaged, it cannot be a coincidence.
Their installers damaged my water taps/faucets/handles and my house is a disaster now, pending whatever they (or our homeowners insurance) are going to do about it - No matter whether Home Depot pays for it or not (Small claims court is one option I'm considering if they don't), now I'm looking at at least another week of having no working washer and dryer, them sitting in the hallway blocking doors, and having to take who knows how much time off of work to supervise the contractors who are going to have to 1) replace our wood floors, 2) repair the damaged spigots, and 3) replace the damaged drywall.
For the above reasons, and pending Home Depot doing the right thing and making us whole and fixing everything that is damaged, I highly discourage other customers from buying here and using their install teams. The whole thing has been a major hassle, time sink, and it's all happening during this pending "coronavirus" outbreak. Dirty laundry is piled up and we are sick and tired of this experience. Now their fifth (that's 5) party install checker Daryl ** refuses to even inspect the situation and we are being forced to contact a plumber to fix the plumbing damage then a contractor to fix the floors. It looks like small claims court or an attorney are the next steps. Save yourself the hassle and DO NOT pay Home Depot for a washer install. Call your own plumber and have them come out to ensure the connections are done correctly!

Less than an hour after buying the washer we contacted Home Depot and they stated we had to call Samsung. We contacted Samsung and they stated we had to call Home Depot. We took pictures and sent to them. Told them it was physical damage. After a few calls both to Samsung and Home Depot, the manager from Home Depot said Samsung would send someone out. They came out today and said it was physical damage and they would not fix it and we needed to call Home Depot. I was asked if I wanted the extended warranty after I had paid for the washer and my husband was loading it up.
I have 12 kids in my home, and I have fostered many more. I bought the floor model because it was the largest in stock. I am on my third washer from Home Depot in five years, and the one that just broke I believe is still under warranty, but I bought a new one because they have already had to fix the last one twice. I usually buy everything from Home Depot, but their customer service and products have gotten ridiculous. We are now having to load this washer up and return it, because they say they will not fix it. I could have returned it a week ago and had a new washer delivered by now. They stated we can return the old washer and purchase a new washer, which is now more expensive because I got a discount for buying the floor model. You are putting yourself at risk if you pay for delivery. I bought a 33 inch refrigerator and a washing machine from Home Depot. As the delivery guys were bringing it up the four stairs to the front door I hear “hey lady we’ve got a problem.” He said, "We can’t get it through the door because of the awning over the door." When I mentioned to them the previous guys were able to get a 36 inch in the door with the awning there. He said “I’m not gonna do it. It’s too hard. You must take the awning off.” Then they went and sat in their truck. I got a ladder and a screwdriver and took the awning off then they got out of their truck and started to bring the Frigidaire up the stairs. They got to the doorway and I hear them say “hey lady we got a problem.” It was like watching a Three Stooges episode. He had it bent forward at a 30° angle when all he had to do was straighten it up and lift it over the landing with about a 4 inch clearance.
When I mentioned to him to try that he held his hand up and said “quiet.” They installed the fridge without hooking up the water even though a plumber had already installed the shut off valve and supplied the line. He tried to convince me that the dishwasher was in the way and I needed a plumber, I had already prepared the line for the fridge with a dedicated line to the dishwasher so I knew he was Lying. He was hostile and angry and I just wanted him out of my house.

I'm glad I asked about the installation. I paid $150 to install. I was told that they would not do the wiring nor would they uninstall the existing oven nor take it away. They would just basically drop off the oven. They recommended to call a 3rd party for the electrical work and have the area prepped. So basically, I paid an extra $150 for delivery only where the delivery is free as stated only for purchases over $300. That was very disappointing as I was excited to have a new oven.
I CANCELLED THE SALE. I call Best Buy, Filco, and Sears and asked them about their installation for new ovens. I was quoted $120, 190, etc... for a full install. That includes removing the old oven and taking it away. So basically, all I had to do was be home for the delivery and installation. Once done, the oven would be ready for use. I've decided to take my business to either one of the 3 competing stores. Your loss Home Depot. You guys really need to fix your delivery and install services. I ordered an LG electric washer and dryer on February 8th 2020 from your online Home Depot Store. The dryer wouldn't turn on. An exception form was completed by the delivery man convinced me that there was no power to the 220 outlet and I needed to call my electrician. I should have returned the dryer at that point as Home Depot doesn't accept returns or exchanges on appliances.
My electrician found that the dryer would not turn on because it required a 30 AMP versus the 20 AMP 220v wiring we had at the dryer location. It wasn’t possible to run additional wiring to this outlet. There was not any information on the Home Depot online product listing indicating that the LG dryer had this 30-amp requirement. This information was only obtained by calling LG product information service line. After 4 days of talking to online customer services representatives, I was able to reach the local Santa Fe New Mexico store manager.
The manager would accept the return with a $79 pickup fee and a 15% restocking fee $121. These costs will be deducted once the dryer is returned. I will also need to add a moving fee of $25 to move the dryer to the garage as the new gas dryer I also ordered from Home Depot will be delivered on February 20th. The Santa Fe store will pick up the old dryer on Monday February 24th. These additional costs 15% restocking, $79 pickup charge and $25 moving fee are about 30% above the cost of the LG electric dryer that we had ordered from Home Depot.
In the end, customer services person said that she would provide me a gift card for $121 for the cost of the restocking fee. All the customer services representatives were exceptional, but this no-return policy and the penalties are unacceptable and I want others to know about them. I have ordered, exchanged and returned many appliances and other large electronics in the past from ABT, Lowes and Amazon without any problems or additional penalties.

THEY USE A HUGE SUBCONTRACTOR AGENCY THAT DOES NOT USE LICENSED PLUMBERS OR TECHNICIANS--and Home Depot doesn't stand behind their work. We had a dishwasher installed 2 days before going on vacation. The installer mis-installed the dishwasher, disconnected the hose to our water filter leak detector, which then leaked undetected for 10 days while we were out of town, and (to add insult to injury) spilled the lemonade we gave him on the floor in the front hall and left it there for us to find. We spent literally MONTHS going back and forth with Home Depot (who foisted us off on their subcontractor). After literally MONTHS, they denied the claim with no explanation. Never ever again.

I purchased a GE stove from Home Depot and purchased the Asurion warranty. Well 3 years into the warranty, I placed a service call. The stovetop cracked. It was covered. One year later the stovetop cracked again. They accused me of dropping a pot on it thus cracking it. "We will not cover it". Will never purchase an appliance or the crappy warranty from Home depot.

I purchased an appliance package including refrigerator, oven, dishwasher. First attempted delivery was on 1/31 by a company Home Depot contracts with in Coral Springs Florida. On first attempt was told by the drivers the refrigerator could not be installed because a shut off valve on the ice line was needed. I paid out of pocket for a plumber to install ice line shut off valve, as I was told that was the only issue preventing installation. Today a different delivery team came. Only one spoke a little English, the second one spoke no English at all. They communicated with each other and over the phone in Spanish. I was then told there was an additional problem preventing refrigerator installation, being a plastic connection between the copper ice line and tubing e wall.
Why wasn't I told this the first time so my plumber could have taken care of both issues at the same time. It seems the delivery service is playing games, making up excuses not to install. If I replace the plastic connector I was told about today, what excuse will they come up with at the 3rd delivery attempt. I don't see how Home Depot makes any money on appliances if their delivery service gives customers a hard time like this. I cancelled the $3500 sale and they lost a customer for life.

I went to purchase an appliance package this past weekend. I would not have declined the install package for my appliances because I would not have been able to install them myself. My appliances were delivered this morning and left in my garage. The delivery guys said they didn't have any tools to install my appliances. I called Home Depot and they said I declined installation. SO NOT WHAT I WOULD HAVE DONE. So I said, "Ok well I would like to have them installed, please come install them." Nope... SOL is what I was told, and if I wanted to hire a company to come do it I was quoted $900!!! Are you kidding me??
So, again I said, "Ok, let's return all the appliances." Re-purchase them and I will PAY for the install. Well now I have to wait for a manager to make this decision and she won't be at work till tomorrow morning. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT HOME DEPOT AGAIN IF THIS IS NOT MADE RIGHT. All my brand new appliances are sitting in my garage! I am so upset that I can't even think straight! VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER!!!

My family & I were repeat customers at Home Depot. However, this last experience has definitely changed all of our minds. I purchased a side by side & gas range on 1/2/20 to be delivered on different dates. It took 2 1/2 weeks to get the refrigerator delivered. The scheduled date was 1/9/20. 1st attempt they didn't bother about showing up or calling. 2nd attempt they claim it wouldn't fit thru the doorway. 3rd attempt the same doorway they claimed it wouldn't fit thru..it fit thru. Gas stove scheduled delivery date was 2/8/20 8am-12pm. At 9:30 2/8, I received a call that they had to reschedule due to a truck breakdown. Again, I'm back at the home depot complaining about their contractors not delivering an appliance on the scheduled date.
The Home Depot needs reliable contractors for delivery of its appliances. I have never been so inconvenienced. So much that I will never ever recommend them for high ticket deliveries. Home Depot gave me credits for the inconvenience but it's not about the money, it's about fulfilling an agreement. I paid for it...so you need to deliver it per our agreement. I had to pay a Plumber to unhook my old stove, hook my old stove back up and now pay again to unhook the old stove should they ever deliver it and hook up the new stove.
Needless to say if I ever get the ** thing delivered, I will never ever give Home Depot another copper penny. Corporate needs to look at the complaints for their deliveries and contract with better companies. I spoke to another customer who experienced the same exact inconvenience...so this wasn't a fluke. Get it together Home Depot!

When the guys showed up with the new range, they removed the old one and just dumped the new one in my kitchen and told me I was on my own as far as installation. When I called HD, they "referred me to a contractor" which is the same as sending me to Yelp. Absolute crooks. NEVER buy appliances from them. Ever.

We paid $1400 for a new refrigerator with full installation and delivery. The delivery guys parked at the end of my driveway and said they "couldn't" get up it although they had not even tried. (UPS, the propane company, and other box trucks have made it up our driveway with absolutely no issues). My boyfriend offered to unload the refrigerator where they were and he could get it up the driveway for them with our tractor that has a bucket. They said that they would unload it in the road and the delivery would stop there, and we would have to get it into the house ourselves after paying for full installation. The delivery people were rude, lazy, and simply did not want to carry a refrigerator up a set of stairs. We told them we'll do our business elsewhere.
We then called customer support to get our money back. The man on the phone told us he could not give us an immediate refund because the fridge had not been scanned into inventory at the warehouse. He said that right now the fridge is in our name. He then said that if he issues a refund right away, it would be a liability for them because the shipping company could be selling refrigerators off of the truck. Which is essentially what they could be doing anyways if the fridge never made it back to the warehouse. Now we do not have a fridge and we're out $1400 for 10 days which is a lot of money for our family right now. We have spent A LOT of money here in the past as we are building a new house, but now we are absolutely done with Home Depot. I will gladly take my business to Lowes and my local hardware stores.

We purchased this fridge from our local Home Depot a few years ago. Got all the extra extended warranties we could including a replacement for significant problems from Home Depot. Problems started a couple of years ago with the back of the fridge icing up: Service call 1: Replacement of the whole back of the fridge. Service call 2: Complete failure to cool down. The compressor had failed. It took them, and I kid you not five weeks to get the part in and fix it. We asked for a replacement or a temporary unit, nope. We got about $300 to compensate us for all the lost food, a small fraction of what it cost living without it (we have four kids) for over a month.
Service calls 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 (this one is maddening and took months to resolve): Unit started kicking the breaker erratically (sometimes hours or days apart). Our kitchen is up to code with arc fault breakers (saves a hundred lives a year). They said it was our house, but it would pop every breaker except for the old fashion heat up type (only useful to prevent fire, not electrocution -- did I mention we have four kids!). They tore the system apart looking for problems, over the course they replaced every circuit board in the system. No solution, "it is your house's fault; nothing we can do about it!"
Finally, after months with an extension cord running down the hallway to keep it on the ice maker started acting up, service came again (the same guy we are on first name bases), open it up and found a small water leak that was shorting out the circuit. Yes, this can cause arcs that will pop the breaker. Replaced whole ice maker and door panel. Yes! No more breaker problems. Finally, we don't have to worry about fried friends and family.
Service call 8. Back of the fridge iced up again. Replace the whole back of the fridge (again). Service call 9, 10, and ...? Ice maker leaking and making a big mass of ice. Replaced ice maker, service left (this was yesterday), but we never got ice, service guy came back today ("new ice maker should be working. Must be a bad connection, reconnected looks fine. Water coming in"). Hours later still no ice! We will call again, I guess.
In parallel to this, we have been calling both home depot and LG. Home Depot sold us the service contract, and LG manages it. Home Depot says, "wow, yes, they (LG) should replace the unit." LG, "we don't replace units service them; call Home Depot." Service guy, "You can ask LG for a replacement, but they will never do it." We have gone into the Home Depot and ask for a manager to discuss; they have no power; just call the same number. Ask for a manager at LG to get the same runaround. Not sure what's next, but if we weren't so busy, I'd go to small claims. BOTTOMLINE, don't buy any appliances from Home Depot!!! It is just not worth the hassle if you have a problem. The replacement guarantee is a lie. I would go anywhere else; I bet Amazon would even give you better service.

We purchased a GE bundled package of dishwasher, refrigerator, stove and microwave on 11/23/2019 with a delivery on 12/7/2019. During the purchasing process we were told the dishwasher that was part of the bundle was back ordered - but if we upgraded (paid more) we could get a GE dishwasher that was in stock. We agreed to do so as it was only $50 more. On 12/7 we had not received a text or call for delivery so we called and were told our delivery had been push out to 12/20 due to a backorder on the dishwasher and the refrigerator.
On 12/19 we received a text stating the stove and microwave would be delivered but the other items would be delivered 12/28 due to backorder. The microwave was not installed when delivered because the tech did not have the tools to install it - so 2 days later another tech showed up to install it. On 1/8 received a text stating the refrigerator would be delivered on 1/10 but the dishwasher was backordered further out - to 1/ the ref 28. The refrigerator was delivered and we switched food over. Woke up the next morning to find it was not working and all of our food was ruined. It was supposed to be replaced within 48 hours but they are all on backorder.
A GE tech was scheduled 3x to look at the refrigerator but called out sick 2x and was blocked by a traffic accident 1 time. I just got a text saying the dishwasher is now backordered until 2/20/2020. I cannot believe how ridiculous this has been. They have had my money for 3 months and I still do not have my appliances! Wow - has Home Depot really sunk so low as to shamelessly treat their customers this way? Where are the values that the built Home Depot brand? The slap in the face is they are still advertising these GE bundled packages daily on TV and radio. Shame on you!!

We are on our 6th attempt at delivery of an LG washer and sidekick pedestal mini-washer that we purchased on Black Friday from The Home Depot. Washer and pedestal need to be installed together. On original delivery Dec. 23rd, the washer was severely damaged so we sent the truck away with both the washer and the pedestal and reschedule of delivery. Fast forward to today... Multiple failed delivery attempts, we have easily spent over 10 hours on the phone with HD, LG and their shipping company. It is a complete nightmare. No one can get this very simple task of coordinating delivery of the washer and sidekick right. One party has said the sidekick was cancelled. Then the other says it wasn't. Then they say it is scheduled now and all ok. Then only 1 item shows up on the next truck and work order shows the other was cancelled.
Rinse and repeat... This process has gone through 3 cycles now... I've taken off work multiple times, removed a door and taken out and then reinstalled my old washer 5 times now. We've been on the phone with at least 8 different people on multiple occasions for well more than 10 hours total. I have never experienced the complete level of ineptness on the part of all 3 entities we have to deal with. I also don't understand, when we buy from HD, why WE have to spend so much time on the phone with the trucking company. I would drive to HD and demand to get a washer put on my truck, but they don't carry inventory. Everything ships from the manufacturer (that's what we were told anyway).
10 days ago we were on the phone for over an hour with someone at HD, after being "escalated" to someone higher up, and thought it was finally taken care of. Of course, today only the sidekick shows up and the driver then spends a bunch of time of the phone with HD and says the full size washer was cancelled... Bottom line, HD has had an unbelievable number of chances to get this right, and they can't. They either so completely inept that they can't, or they just don't care and they won't. Never buying from HD again and neither should anyone else. I am thoroughly disgusted, still out the value of the washer, and no idea when or if we will get it.

Home Depot Bethesda has been my store for years. It was the obvious place since I live so close to it. I have remodeled my whole house using their materials and products. Same with the gardening plants and supplies. In the past I have had to chase associates to get help with products, waited for long periods trying to get information over the phone, and return defective/broken products. I did not mind. They are my neighborhood store.
My last experience with Home Depot was a disaster. Last November I needed to replace my washer and dryer so decided to go there once again. Everything went well. The products were back ordered but I did not mind waiting for almost a month. The delivery day arrived. I did not get a call ahead but I thought they would just come. They never did.
Many phone calls and a store visit after, I was rescheduled for a week later. On the same day of the delivery, I get a call from the delivery company saying they would have to reschedule for the following week. I went to the local store and there was nothing they could do for me. It was a difficult situation. If I cancelled I would have to wait even longer so I decided to give them another chance.
After been rescheduled for the third time, on the same day when my delivery was expected, I get an email - not even a phone call - saying they would have to reschedule one more time. That was it for me. I went to the store and cancelled the order. I have had it. My health is more important so I decided to take my money somewhere else.
To this day, almost one week after proceeding with the cancellation of my order, my money has not been credited to my bank account. They say the system will not allow them to do it until later. It is such a sad and frustrating experience. At the end of the day they have the money and that is all Home Depot seemed to care about. I felt I needed to share this experience because other people need to be aware of this possibility when they shop from Home Depot. Their delivery associates are not to be trusted and are not held accountable and Home Depot's system is convenient just for the store itself. Just purchased a new set at another store which will hopefully be delivered in two days.

I have seen several posts on here very similar to our situation. We paid $900 for a dishwasher to be delivered. Once installing the unit we found it would not register the door being closed so would not start a load. We called the next morning and were told appliances could not be returned unless refused at time of delivery. Website said you have 48hrs from time of delivery. I was told by Lenah who was what she referred to as a salaried manager that their website was incorrect.
Talked to LG and they were amazing. They dealt with their Home Depot department to approved a refund. We then had to call the asst manager of our Home Depot because we had to get the refund from them. He looked on our acct and apologized for everything and said he would have LG call the next day to arrange a pick but I could come by the next morning with my debit card to go ahead and get the refund. Of course when I get there he was not there and I was told by another manager he was wrong. I would not be given a refund until the unit is back in a LG warehouse and they notify Home Depot they have issued them a refund. Basically would take 3 weeks. Obviously Home Depot is not concerned with customer service at all. Unbelievable.

My washer was struck by lighting so I was replacing it with the same exact one. In store purchase was great and professional the 3rd party delivery was a different story. I had scheduled it for my day off but was called into work. I had a friend stay at the house and paid her $100. When confirming the appointment I asked if he could have the door opening to the left, he said no and that I needed to call a tech for that. Weird but whatever. He was on time but parked 2 inches away from my brick mailbox and unloaded a front facing washer with the glass front against the dolly. He had no tools and wanted to leave the washer in my garage to go get tools. However my dishwasher guy was almost there and he able to assist.
My friend who had called me minutes earlier for tools then called again bc the delivery guy did not want to place the washer on top of the pedestal since there was no note on the order. Really??? I sent them packing with my new washer! Home Depot rep called to reschedule my delivery date for another week out. I asked to talk to a manager. She placed me on hold then after 5-6 minutes of holding she disconnected the call and didn't call back. But wait it gets better... I called corporate the next morning. She was nice, no doubt, but the lady previously noted that I hung up on her and the earliest delivery was now 2 weeks out. So.... I called Lowe's. My washer stopped working and I ordered a new washer and dryer online. This was a month and 5 failed delivery attempts ago and I still do not have a washer or dryer. The website does not explain what washer and dryers are compatible to be stacked with each other. In addition, it does not explain that the stacking kit needs to be purchased separately to installation services. The first attempt failed because the washer I purchased would not stack with the dryer that I already had. I decided to purchase a new washer and dryer to make sure they would stack. The second attempt failed because the delivery team got injured on a previous installation. The third attempt failed because the stacking kit has to be purchased separately to installation services.
At this point I physically went in to Home Depot to sort out this mess. I purchased the stacking kit and told the lady that it needed to be delivered at the same time as the washer and dryer, otherwise they wouldn't be able to install it. She assured me that it would, then forgot to actually reschedule the delivery of the washer and dryer. So after waiting another week, the delivery guy showed up with only the stacking kit.
Every failed delivery causes about a week delay before the next attempt. After waiting another week it snowed barely 3 inches overnight and they refused to deliver in such conditions. The roads were totally fine and free of snow, I have no clue what they are talking about. Home Depot sells snow shovels, I can't imagine they are snowed in. I do not recommend ever purchasing a washer and dryer from Home Depot, especially if you have to stack your washer and dryer. They have ZERO sense of urgency and could care less about your situation. You'd think they would be willing to reschedule me a bit sooner after 5 failed attempts in a row, nope.

Home Depot is our go-to store and there is rarely a week that we aren't in there. As the owners of several vacation rental properties, we rely on Home Depot to help us keep on track. It's painful to write this negative review but it has to be done because the experience was so egregious. We bought a washing machine on Black Friday and were told it would be delivered the following week. We were then called and told delivery would be a month out because they had so many deliveries. They then suggested we just return the item and purchase it again later (What?!). We declined to do that and complained about the delay. We were told by customer service that once the delivery was made we could request a partial refund that would cover us needing to use the laundromat for a month. We were then given a delivery window of noon-4. We both work so my husband started looking for a call around 11:30 am.
He got a vm around 10 am stating that they were headed that way. He called the delivery people and was told basically, "Too bad, you missed the delivery." This despite the fact that our delivery was scheduled at noon earliest! We were then told that it would be another two weeks before they got back out! After more complaints, we were again told we would be compensated for the laundromat and for the inconvenience. When we finally received our washing machine, more than 5 weeks after the purchase, Home Depot informed us we would be credited $75, not the $125+ we spent at the laundromat nor anything for the inconvenience.
This was such a bad experience and the delivery and customer service reps were so rude that we will be switching our business to Lowe's and local hardware stores. I added up what I spent at Home Depot over the last year and it was well over $5,000. I hope that the $75 or so they saved by not crediting us like they said they would was worth the loss of that business. It's already in effect - I just spent $80 on a ceiling fan. At Lowe's.

When ordering an appliance from Home Depot just make sure you take off an entire week to be able to receive your delivery because the company they have deliver it is horrible! From the moment they called they were trying to get us to reschedule our delivery because as the driver said "I've got 20 delivery today" so he has no time for me, someone who paid for it. The moment he got here he was refusing to take away our old dryer, which this is a service that we paid for. He got here, walked in my house, saw that he had to take my dryer into a basement and then said "it doesn't fit" and walked out of my house. This man didn't measure anything, didn't even take a look at anything. Just said it won't fit and then started an argument with me in front of my new born baby, cursing at me, and then gave me the finger and told me that in quote "you're not getting your ** dryer ever" and left.
I called home depot and all they said was, "Oh we can reschedule it...." Like I'm missing work now to get this delivery. What do you mean reschedule it? The guy didn't even try. But apparently that's not home depot's problem. They already got their money so they pretty much told us we're ** outta luck and they could care less about how the guy acted nor that he didn't even try. As the customer representative said they don't deliver the product, they have another company do it so it's not their problem. Really nice home depot. I will never ever, ever buy any other appliances from you again.
My biggest issue is that I have the same exact dryer in basement that I ordered but it won't fit.... Every Supervisor we spoke to was completely nasty to us about the situation as well to the point where the supervisor from home depot told me that he is refusing to even just reimburse us for one of us having to miss a day of work (because apparently this Tuesday is the only day they have available to deliver my dryer in the next 2 weeks!!!) and for us to wait for our delivery whenever that may be. 2 hours on the phone and they can't do anything except be nasty. They won't even do anything for us until after it's delivered because they want to make sure we're stuck with it so that they can ignore us from there. Terrible service. If I could give this a 0 star review I would but it's not allowed.

On the first load, a nP error messaged appeared within 15 minutes of drying. I unplugged the unit and restarted it, same issue. I called LG and reported it within 48 hours. They told me it was an electrical issue so we sent an electrician to look at the outlet and electrical wiring. Our house is a new construction as well. He told us there was no issues with the electrical at all. We called Home Depot again and they sent another technician to look at the installation. The technician looked at it for 10 minutes and said it was a faulty unit and would order us a replacement. We never got the replacement order.
We called Home Depot.com again and they said it would take 24 hours for the technician to upload his service. Again, no one called us so we called back. We got transferred to the local Home Depot store. They told us they speak to their manager and call us back. Still no phone call from anyone. I called Home Depot 1-800 number again and they transferred me to a LG representative that said they would have to send their representative to do a service order and review it before sending us a replacement. This has been very very frustrating and we still have no answers or solutions. It was been 10 days. We purchased a brand new dryer that has not worked at all. Deliver w/ no Installation or parts. I made an entire order of new appliances worth over $5,000. The delivery came on time but the work order had no installation for none of the appliances nor did they delivery any of the parts for installation that I paid for. The phone number to call never leads you to a real person. You have to select that you will be making a new order for you to speak someone. So it took me after 6x times of calling them to figure that out during the delivery to figure out what to do. Then that person had to talk to someone else.
I figured out HOMEDEPOT.COM has a glitch when ordering you can select installation with the parts and the only thing that will transfer over to the work order is the parts and not the installation. ONLY THEN were they able to reschedule an installation because they were trying to tell me I didn't select installation. SURE PLACE THE BLAME ON THE CUSTOMER INSTEAD. For the engineers working on homedepot.com they need to do a better Q&A testing before making changes to the site and this one might make a lot of customers unhappy.

We purchased a refrigerator on Dec. 3. We were told that it would be a 2 week delivery. We were fine with that. Well 2 weeks later, we get a call on the Thursday prior to delivery. Stating that our fridge would be delivered between 3 and 8 PM on Friday the 14. Friday came and no call and no fridge. Went to Home Depot that Saturday the 15th. They said that it is rescheduled for the 28th. Which was a Saturday. Saturday came and no fridge. Called home depot again and they contacted the delivery company and told them they don't deliver on Saturdays. So yet another reschedule on January the 3rd.
We were promised that we would get out fridge today. The delivery team arrived with our fridge and then was told they can't do it because it is raining. We were told that they deliver in any condition. So now it is rescheduled for the 10th of January. I've never seen a delivery team so incompetent. I will cancel my order and never buy anything from home depot again. I would advise anyone buying appliances from home depot to STOP!!! Save the trouble and go to LOWES!!!

The fridge was damaged out of the box. I was promised I would receive a call from their dispatch in the next 20 minutes about scheduling a second delivery for a working unit. 20 minutes passed. No call. I eventually called them and was given the run around.
Apparently Home Depot transfers the matter to the manufacturer, leaving it upon them to set up a follow up delivery. In this case, Whirlpool. It took several days before we had a rescheduled delivery, one over a week later on the 27th. (It was the 30th, but I got it bumped up.) The messed up thing is that I had to do a lot of follow up calls myself to learn what the heck was going on. I wouldn't have even known it was transferred to Whirlpool if I hadn't followed up on things myself. I also noted that if I had simply refused delivery/cancelled the fridge, and then ordered a whole new one through Home Depot I would've had a delivery date of the 26th. That makes no sense and the whole experience has sworn me off using Home Depot for future appliance purchases.

I was told driver would call when 30 minutes away. I received call at 9:10. (Still have voicemail saved.) I then get call at 9:15 saying the delivery team is at my house and will wait 10 minutes and then have to leave. Their customer service rep says I'm lying about the 10 to 2 delivery window. She says that it will be Friday before they can try to redeliver and they will call me Thursday and give me a timeframe. I'm telling her I'm paying for this and they can't deliver when they feel like it. She's just holding the phone not saying anything. She's not trying to help at all. I just cancelled the order and bought my set from Lowe's. There's no problem with Home Depot but with this company they are using who don't care about the customer.

I purchased a refrigerator from Home Depot on October 27. It was scheduled for delivery on November 2. The delivery shows up with a damaged refrigerator. Home Depot said I had to deal with the delivery company. After many phone calls and escalations I finally got a refrigerator delivered on November 9. The refrigerator worked fine for about two weeks then suddenly stopped working. Called Home Depot only to be told again that I had contact manufacturer because Home Depot gives you 48 hours to report a problem. I can understand 48 for damages but not operating issues.
I was told my problem was due to refrigerator being in garage and I needed a garage kit. I call three of the companies Home Depot provided only to be laughed at about needing a garage kit. The manufacturer agreed to send someone out. It was scheduled for today only to get a phone call to say they couldn’t send someone out until January 9. You see I paid Home Depot 600.00 for this refrigerator and it only worked for 2-3 weeks but Home Depot has washed their hands of my purchase. While you think you are buying from Home Depot you are really buying from Appliance Depot and you only get 48 hours to identify issues! It is not my fault that the refrigerator stopped working!
Fortunate for Home Depot paid with Home Depot credit card. If I had used my Amex I would dispute and leave the refrigerator by the curb! I am very disappointed with Home Depot and their lack of concern to resolve my issue. I could understand if I purchased six months ago but it’s been 6 weeks and refrigerator only worked 2-3 weeks of that! I caution you against purchasing appliances from Home Depot because you have no recourse.

Ordered an over the stove microwave on 7 Dec for and the earliest delivery install available on Saturday the 14th so we scheduled that. 6pm on the 14th they call and say they cannot deliver it as it is badly smashed. (They never came to my house. This was just discussed on the phone so actually the delivery person actually refused it – not me, but their records show I refused.) 3 days later, as you have to wait 2 business days, I was able to call into the system to schedule reorder for the 30th. They arrived on the 30th. We inspected it and it looked fine. After they installed it (where they did not look at any of the instructions – only one of them spoke English). I noticed it is angled up as it comes out from the wall. The lower corner is 1/2 inch further from the wall than top. Their excuse was my cabinets are not straight - but my previous 2 microwaves hung just fine.
Also - they did not perform the full appliance setup (none of them read the instructions). They did change the damper in the back for outside exhaust but did not change the follow other 2 required steps when venting outside: the charcoal vents on the bottom or switch the top front vents (per the manual – which they never looked at, and I had to do these steps myself after they left to ensure my product functions as expected. See the manual – Damper installation section - page 5 Step 3, and Page 5 Vent Cover Installation steps 1-4.
Finally when they were done they just packed up and left after I said I did not like that it was not level. They did not clean up the mess they made with their drilling and install – the top of my stove was covered with sawdust and drywall dust from the install which I had to clean up myself. I called Home Depot and they will send out another installer next week to fix it supposedly. Considering all the extra issues (double delivery waits for me, my time) and completing the proper installation of the microwave parts per the instruction manual – I should get a full refund on the installation. I will never buy from Home Depot again.

Purchasing at the Home Depot has been the most stressful experience. I purchased from them a refrigerator, a dishwasher, a range and a range hood. They only give 48 hours after delivery to return any of the items. I wanted to return the range hood. I called before the 48 hours expired and scheduled a time for pick up. The scheduled date I was given for pickup was 11 days after the delivery between 11 am to 3:30 pm. The day arrived and no one showed up. I called multiple times throughout the day to see where they were but every time I spoke to a new associate, I got a different story. One associate named Gina literally had me on hold for 43 mins to tell me they’ve rescheduled the pickup for yet another week without given me the timeframe or anything and then hung up one me.
The worse part is that no one takes responsibility, the customer gets screw and the Home Depot gets away with their shady moves. It’s been a horrible horrible experience. I do not recommend anyone to buy appliances from the Home Depot. Please save yourselves from the stress because even if you weren’t returning, just the delivery of the other appliances were stressful enough. Please purchase somewhere else and don’t be tempted by those ‘sales’ they promote. They aren’t worth it. Up to this date, I am stuck with a range worth more than $400 and even though I followed their 48 hour policy, they didn’t take responsibility for picking it up. And another terrible part, you do them the favor of taking the appliance to their store and instead the Home Depot charges a 15% stock fee! No no no! Never again Home Depot!

So anyone who has ever bought appliances from Home Depot knows, is that at the point of purchase everything is very well organized. You immediately get an email with an order # and a link to track your delivery. You then get a text which connects you with an app that further allows you to manage your delivery. All of that is well and good until the third party delivery company fails to show up with your appliances on the specified time/date. In my case, they just failed to show altogether. I was supposed to receive a delivery to a property I'm rehabbing on 12/19/19. Workers are there all day. In fact, the front door was off of the house and being painted inside. I'm assuming my appliances were delivered, since I had workers there all day and since I never received a phone call, text, or email stating that no one is there.
A couple days later when I'm at the job I don't see my appliances. My contractor tells me that no one ever showed. At what point was I going to get a phone call, text, or email for me to reschedule? I will tell you when, NEVER! These ** never circled back with me. So I just lost over an hour trying to a) get to the bottom of what happened, and b) get my appliances rescheduled. So now they're rescheduled for January 2nd. But it gets better, the manager of customer service at Home Depot then has the nerve to tell me that they can only hold the one unit until January 6th. Are you kidding me? You people and your third party delivery company totally drop the ball and you then tell me that the clock is ticking on my order? I recommend to anyone reading this to find a local appliance dealer or wholesaler and deal with them. If you tell these companies that they need to match Home Depot pricing they will. Bye Felicia.

Luckily our Handyman is there, and removes it in 2 minutes...Just as soon as he gets it out, we get told "sorry the dishwasher and microwave are damaged." Now I have no dishwasher installed, so I call HD and the Dishwasher I ordered is on backorder for 2.5 more months! No offer to make this right at all, they have had my money for over a month now too! Our moving company brought an entire household of furniture, including a "garage refrigerator and freezer" up the same driveway the day before! Delivery man said the appliances would be delivered to Home Depot and they would make the delivery on a small flatbed truck. Found out Barlow Company took the appliances back to their warehouse in Phoenix, 97 miles away, to be rescheduled at a later time for delivery to HD in Prescott. This makes absolutely no sense. After not hearing back from Home Depot within 48 hours with a new delivery, my husband called and found out the appliances would be delivered by Barlow to Home Depot on 12/31! On Nov. 30 we went into a Home Depot store and ordered a Kitchen Aid dishwasher with a total cost of almost $1,000. We selected Dec. 7 (a Saturday) for delivery due to work schedules. This Saturday is always the St. Jude Marathon in downtown Memphis so notices are all over the news and signs on the streets that travel in the downtown area will be problematic until after 11:00 due to road closures. The delivery company did not take this into consideration and attempted delivery at 9:30 am. There was traffic in front of the home so obviously some roads had opened up but the driver called and claimed that he could not get to our home. We called the dispatch and they rudely told us that they were re-scheduling our delivery for Tuesday.
We then called the delivery driver and offered him $100 to bring it out on Saturday since Tuesday delivery was problematic for us. He agreed and arrived at 5:30, installed the dishwasher, turned it on to check for leaks and left. Twenty minutes later the dishwasher stopped working and hasn't worked since. We called Kitchen Aid on Monday morning since they were not open on Sunday and were told it was a "dud" and we needed to call Home Depot and get a replacement. We called Home Depot and after several calls and long hold times finally managed to get a manager (Candace) on the phone. She said "no we don't have to replace it since it did turn on". Then she decided that since it was within the 48 hours that they did need to replace it.
After another long wait on hold the representative did the paperwork but only to discover that the delivery couldn't be arranged until Dec. 18 (a week and a half after the faulty dishwasher was delivered) which isn't convenient with our work schedules so we are waiting until Dec. 21 for delivery of a new Kitchen Aid dishwasher that will hopefully work this time. So Home Depot has our money and we have no working dishwasher for almost a month now.

Home Depot told us they would install the Microwave and charged us the installation fee in advance at the store. They really don't want to install the appliance. When they get to the house they say they can't install the microwave because the microwave does not vent directly out of the back - despite the fact that the microwave was to be vented directly above the microwave in the exact center port location of the previous microwave. Couldn't be more straightforward. It was obvious the deliverymen are instructed to sell you on keeping it... to leave you with a new microwave and leave the customer with the task of figuring out how to find an installer and then dispose of the old unit themselves. Beware of this and when it happens - tell them to take the unit back. Unfortunately we still have the huge microwave on the floor.
We finally got the HD upfront installation fee refunded (took several weeks) but here we are with the new microwave on the floor and it will cost us big time to have someone come in and then the disposal fee. Don't fall for this scam and just send the unit back with the deliverymen. They don't tell you about this straight out the back venting requirement at the store and these installers were clearly coached - very good at convincing customers to keep the microwave without installation. Home Depot buyer beware.

Disclaimer: I realize that the installers are sub-contracted to perform installs, and they're not Home Depot employees directly. We ordered a dishwasher online and had it delivered to our home. The first set of installers claimed that they needed to install a junction box to power the new appliance. They also said that new holes would need to be cut inside our cabinets to re-run the water and drain lines, as well as to accommodate the box. They, of course did not have the tools to do so, and claimed they couldn't or wouldn't do that anyway.
Ultimately, they unpacked the new washer and left it in the garage so they wouldn't have to transport it back to the warehouse (so it wouldn't be damaged in the meantime). Then we had to reschedule the install for two weeks later, once I had gone in and cut the holes in the cabinets myself, which was not an easy task. The second set of installers were much better. They completed the job with no excuses and were very professional and courteous. I'll be calling their office and leaving a positive review.

The phone service is automated that they are now close with no communication regarding the redelivery or if it is even still coming after multiple calls saying it would tonight. The two ladies on the phone each time were Nichole (who hung up the phone) and Megan. Thank you for your terrible service and have a nice day. Please don't use home depot. Going to use Lowe's next time.

We ordered a 30 in. 5.8 cu. ft. Gas Range with Self-Cleaning and Fan Convection Oven in Stainless Steel to be delivered and installed, paying for everything that day. The delivery was scheduled for next week. The day before the delivery was confirmed, as expected, at 4:30 PM. An hour later we got a call from a different number that went straight to voicemail without the option of being answered. This voicemail said the delivery was canceled and rescheduled for a week later. We called multiple times to try and understand how the delivery could be confirmed only to be canceled an hour later, they told us it was a broken-down truck.
The next week, again we got a call confirming delivery the next day, only again to get a voicemail canceling delivery. We called Samsung, they said Home Depot does deliveries and they could do nothing. We called Home Depot and they said they don't do the deliveries but instead a third party does that they couldn't tell us any information about so we couldn't contact them ourselves to ask what was happening.
When I asked to cancel the order and get a full refund they said the refund can't be processed until the day of the Oven delivery, which appears to be never. Not only do we not have an oven, but the money we saved to buy the oven is also tied up making the purchase of an oven from an alternative vendor impossible. Unbelievably horrible service. Home Depot, Samsung and this Third-Party delivery service they're hiding behind should be ashamed.

I purchased a premium 50 gallon gas Rheem hot water heater at The Home Depot store on N. Division St in Spokane, WA on Monday morning about 9:30 after calling and setting up a request for installation of same on Sunday evening, Nov 10. Home Depot clearly advertises that if you call before noon, you can get it installed that afternoon. What an incredible joke. I did receive a call first thing on Monday,Nov 11th at 7:45 from J&J Plumbing, their contracted installer. She asked me a few questions about my install project and then told me she would send me an email with an estimate right away. Here it is Thursday evening on Nov 14th and NOTHING from J&J Plumbing. I will be speaking to the Home Depot manager about this awful experience. Since, went to Angie’s List, found a responsive and qualified plumber and had it installed on Wednesday. Extremely disappointed with Home Depot. Will spend my money elsewhere in the future.

I choose Home Depot thinking that they will be professional than the local vendors. I explained the below to 5-6 home depot representative and nobody knows what's happening till date. The issue:- I got the project done from Home depot for Furnace, AC, Water Tank and Humidifier installation and Purchase installation. The guy from home depot told me that it will be converted to an EMI and you dont need to worry about anything, just apply for the card.
The project is completed. The bill is 12700. I got the card. Its limit is 5000. How am I suppose to pay the rest of the amount. Citibank can't increase my limit beyond 5000. For my complaint I got transferred from one department to another and nobody solved my issue. I even transferred to United States. Somebody transferred me to Corporate office and it turn out to be customer service. Then after that "Hugo" transferred me to another country where the representative can't understand English. I am being mentally tortured by Home depot service.

I ordered a dishwasher from the 23rd street Home Depot, the guy took all the details of what I want to buy, and made sure he understood that the the kitchen countertop is granite, so he has to take in consideration when they come to replace the old one they drill on the side because it is not possible on the top. They scheduled a week later the delivery.
On the day of the delivery, they called and said they are coming between 12 and 4 pm, so I took a time off from work to be there. I waited until 3:30 pm and not one showed up, so called customer service then they said that they came waited outside the Building and left because no one was in the lobby to take them up to the apartment. My building is 24/7 two door men. So they basically didn’t even come and lied about the whole thing. So I had no choice but to call and reschedule.. Now it is a week later. So on the new day of delivery, they called this time and said they are downstairs.
When they get to my apartment, the guy looked at the kitchen counter and said, "Oh this is not gonna work, you have a granite kitchen counter and this model doesn’t allow us to drill on the sides, only on the top." (remember I spent almost an house when I placed the order explaining to the sales a person at Home Depot 23rd street that he needs to be sure that the dishwasher is the right fit for what I was talking about, stone countertop, and I made sure to mentioned it many times to avoid any surprises when the moment of installation comes). But one of the delivery guys said: "But we can install it for you if we cancel the installation fee without company and you give you us Cash instead, and no one has to know about it." I was shocked that the guy was very confident that he said that, he made it look as if he does this on daily basis.
So I said I need to call Home Depot to see why they made this mistake, but then the guys said while he was calling someone on his mobile phone, one second, talk to our manager, while I was on my phone with Home Depot, so I told the Home Depot customer service person to hold for one second, and took the guy’s phone and a woman said to me, "Sir.. yes they can't do it, maybe you should figure out something.." So I said, "Thank you but I am ok. I will talk to Home Depot about other option," and hang up the phone and put it on the table near because the guy was whispering something in other guy’s ear.
Then the guy screamed at me and said, "I Handed you the phone why did you put it on the table and not give it to me." (Home Depot was on hold on my phone). The guy then said in a very angry tone; "YOU HAVE ONE MINUTE TO DECIDED." I felt extremely threatened in my own home, and wanted these guy out immediately but tried to stay clam while I was explaining the situation to the Home Depot person on the phone. Then the two guys said.. "We will see you next time." And left with the dishwasher.
So while I was on the phone with Home Depot I was able to tell them what happened since the two guys left already. Home Depot let me connect you to the right person. This right person was definitely the very wrong person as she said we are not responsible for the installation people behavior, and she Even said that the salesperson whom I spent an hour explaining the right fit for the dishwasher wasn’t his fault.

First, I ordered floor panels after a recommendation from a floor expert at Home Depot who I had consulted with in person in the store. When the panels came two weeks later, they were the wrong wood. I asked them to exchange them with the right items, and they confirmed that they would do that, and they ordered the correct panels. However, then nothing happened for weeks. I keep calling, with no results. I was told the order couldn’t be found, or that the order could be found, but they had delivery problems. Finally, i went to the store and spoke to a supervisor who confirmed the order, but he was unable to find the panels that had already been delivered to the store in their warehouse. After an hour, I left while he promised he’d work on it.
Another week passed without results. More calls, more confusion, and finally a delivery date. I waited during the delivery window for 5 hours, but no delivery happened. More calls (15 altogether) and apologies from HD, and a new delivery date for the following week. The next day, I was out of town and received a call that the would deliver in 20 min. ???? I had no way of getting to my house in such a short time, and had to call again to make sure they'd kept the delivery date they had scheduled for the next week. Finally, i received the items. It had taken five weeks to get the right items.
Second, I ordered a GE fridge from Home Depot. There was confusion on the website whether the door was reversible and I called HD. They told me they didn’t know, and asked me to call GE. I called GE and they said, yes, it’s reversible. I hired a task person to be there during the delivery window. When the fridge arrived, they had the wrong model. A lost day of waiting and paying a person to wait while I was at work. Because I rejected the fridge (wrong model), HD cancelled the order.
I contacted customer service and they told me because the order was cancelled (by them), I had to “physically go to the store” to reorder because the order had been cancelled. I was confused and called again. This time, I was told, I had to “reorder from GE”. I was even more confused since I had ordered from HD and not GE. I called several more times, and was told I had to re-purchase the fridge, and when ask for possible compensation for the waiting time, was disconnected. Same during two other chats.
I contacted an elevated customer service person via email who seemed nice, and re-ordered the fridge for me via phone. He also gave me gift certificate, but then told me the fridge had “gone up in price within the week” and asked me to apply the certificate right away to the new purchase, which seemed strange since it left me without certificate really. However, he was nice enough to set up a new delivery date.
Third: Again, In the proposed delivery date, I waited for five hours, and the fridge finally arrived last minute. The delivery people opened the truck and a wave of what smelled like ** escaped. They took out the fridge, without much care, showed me the upper part, and asked if I accepted it. I said, "Let me see it first," but they were very pushy, eager to move on. I noticed that the door swing was on the other side. They told me that I had to order the swing at purchase and pay for it, and that it “needed to be done in the factory”. Then I noticed that the door rubber on the freezer was torn, and I had to send the fridge back again. More customer service calls, during which-again- I was told that the door reversal had to be done in the factory at GE. I then contacted the elevated customer service person again, and he told me that that wasn’t true. He scheduled a new delivery for the following week.
Fourth: The delivery window was confirmed for 2-7 pm. Again, I waited five hours, but no delivery of the fridge. For 6:30 on, I called the delivery company, but no one picked up until after 7pm. They then told me the “truck had broken down”. This time, I cancelled the order as I was so frustrated with HD. The customer person contacted me and apologized, and told me that the order could not be refunded via phone, and that had to physically go to the store to swipe my card to get a refund. ??? No other compensation was offered. I went to HD to swipe my card to get the refund. This was the last trip I will ever take to HD. I’m done with them. Lowe’s it is from here on…

We purchased our kitchen appliances from Home Depot simply because they gave us the best price and we had a great experience with our washer and dryer we purchased from them as well. Our appliances arrived at our house about 5 weeks after purchasing them. The fridge had 5 dents in it (2 from the fridge cart the delivery guys were using) and a scratch on the front. We were told we could try to get compensation for the products because of the damage so we thought we would try. The stove had a huge scratch and dent on the side and the "3" button did not work.
We called Home Depot/Whirlpool and decided to have replacement products as the compensation was not enough to warrant the damage on the new appliances. We were told the replacement appliance would be here within 7-10 days... 2 months later, after 30 calls to home depot, and 1 cancelled delivery from the delivery company, we finally got our replacement appliance. The problem this time? The fridge did not work at all, and the stove looked like the delivery guys had dropped it out of the truck. At my wit's end, I called to ask for my money back and decided to buy my appliance from a reputable local company instead.
Heed my warning - if you purchase from Home Depot all might be fine. BUT if it is not you will have a pain trying to get it figured out. Purchase from a local company without 1-800 numbers to jump through when you have issues. Our new appliances just arrived from the local company and not only do they work, but there are no scratches, the guys were incredibly kind and respectful of our home, and were really hoping to create a better experience for us as they knew the struggles we were through with Home Depot. Do not buy appliances here - you will regret it! Support Local.

2) They didn't mention that they were re-configuring water and leaving an uncapped water outlet on the main drainage pipe. This uncapped outlet caused subsequent water damage.
3) They lied about checking the water.
4) They couldn't figure out how to drop the legs and mount it properly, but assured me that the machine was "totally functional" although it wasn't seated properly.
After capping the outlet myself, we tried running the dishwasher. It stopped with an error code indicating that the water was not draining correctly. I called Home Depot "Appliance Hot Line" and spoke to "Marissa". According to her, this was an issue I had to resolve with the Installation Company, not Home Depot. Home Depot, according to her, is not responsible for any problems arising from the company they have hired, no matter how incompetent they are.
A second, more experienced, installer eventually showed up. His first response when he saw the uncapped water outlet was that "we don't handle something like this, you should call a handyman to fix it". He subsequently ordered a new machine. We are still waiting for this machine. I don't understand how Home Depot can hire this sort of company and tell me they have no responsibility in the matter. We bought an expensive Bosch and paid for installation. As a result, we're dealing with drainage problems and washing dishes by hand. I should have gone to Menards and hired the contractor myself.

We ordered a stackable washer and dryer online from Home Depot. In order to save the $60 delivery fee I tried to have the units delivered the to the store, but I was informed that regardless of if I had the units delivered to my house or to the store I would have to pay the $60 delivery fee. This was strike one. Why should a customer pay for a company's logistics?
When I was ordering the units online I selected the take away option for $20, where Home Depot will remove your old units. There was also an option for a warranty which I declined and an option for a stackable assembly for $80. I wasn't clear what that was so I contacted a representative from their Live Online Chat. This individual informed me that this was the hardware for the unit which would be required if I wanted to stack the units. OK, $80 is steep considering the cost of the actual units themselves, but I need them stacked - so I paid.
The units arrived after a few days. Good turn around time, one of the reasons we went with them. As the delivery men, who were great, were moving my units into place and taking out the old units. I asked about the stackable assembly kit. He said they didn't have one for this order, showed me on the bill. I showed him my email and he told me to call Home Depot and that they would sort it out. Perfect. No big deal, they must have forgotten. I'm sure they'll expedite a shipment to me right away.
Well, they didn't. In fact, they informed me that I never purchased an assembly kit. What I did purchase was the cost of the delivery men to stack the units for me. What, for $80? Stacking a dryer on top of a washing machine is a 2 minute job for 2 adults, and requires 2 screws. How is it possible that it's $80?? And wait. The Chat Representative told me that this was the kit I was paying for. But this time, the representative I was speaking with didn't care what I was told before - that didn't matter. I was then told that I would have to go to a store and buy one myself. They then put me on hold before I even agreed to do that - and told me that the nearest 3 stores to me don't even carry this item in stock. That I would have to pay for it online and pay an additional $60 delivery fee. That they would not waive that fee.
I escalated the call, explained everything again (this is actually the 4th time I've explained the situation because I kept getting transferred), and they confirmed my only recourse was the spend another $140 (parts + delivery) and then AFTER the order arrived they would see about offering me "some compensation" but that they couldn't discuss what that compensation might be until after I paid them more money.
No chance. I then found the same item on another store's website for HALF of the retail price with free delivery. I explained this to the representative and she said to order it from them. So the end result was that I found a solution to the problem myself, after 3 hours of customer service run around, with zero responsibility on the part of Home Depot or their representatives. They were content with me going to a competitor to order the parts. I will never shop at Home Depot again. They extort their customers $80 to lift a dryer onto a washing machine, because they know some people have no choice as they cannot do it themselves.

There is apparently no contact between the technicians and Home Depot, so they are unable to check where the truck is that supposed to deliver the dishwasher; and I am now back on hold with Home Depot, to try to find out where the dishwasher is. Once it's delivered, I guess it will just sit in a box in the living room of my condo, since I will then have to call Home Depot back again to try to reschedule technicians - who knows when that will be. Had a Whirlpool washing machine delivered on 10/16. They came first thing at 9am which was great. 2 delivery men carried it in my basement through my garage, and nailed the door. Which pulled the veneer off slightly, minor damage, no big deal, but they acted like it didn't happen. Whatever. The real problem was after they put the new washer down, and took my old one away. One of the guys says he is going to give me new hoses for pipes on the wall that go to the back of the washer. I said ok. He goes to truck, when he came back I asked him if he really needed to be doing that since I didn't request or pay for an installation and my steel hoses were fine. He looks at me and smiles like he didn't know what I said (or care). He has one rubber hose on, goes to put the 2nd one on and I hear water splashing on my floor.
1 original hose had putty or caulk on it for whatever reason (bought house 2 years ago), and he was unable to attach the new rubber hose without it leaking. He tells me I need to go to Home Depot and buy a new fixture to attach the hoses, or call a plumber. I said I didn't even want him touching the hoses and that he ignored me when I asked. I began asking why he did that, did it even need to get changed etc...he tells me not to get an attitude. He gets a delivery paper for me to sign that he has already circled the option for "no property damage". I crossed that and circled there was, and then while I am asking questions both men just leave.
Later, while I'm on the phone talking to the HD store manager I realized one delivery guy had actually taken the steel hoses from my property. According to everyone I talked to no-one should have been touching pipes/hoses/installing etc...No idea how this will turn out. I also discovered the guy put a cap on the end of the pipe attached to wall that Hercules could not unscrew due to how hard he was cranking and the putty on the pipe. Now my old washer is gone. I don't know if my new one works. I got my metal hoses back but can't even see if they will work because of the cap this guy put on.
Hopefully HD does right thing and covers cost of a plumber or sends someone to my house. It was just bizarre that this guy ignored me, answered no questions, took my hoses, and screwed my pipes, and tried to circle no damage. I would have had to physically stop him to prevent this. I think he wanted to metal hoses to sell. Website even said no hoses would be provided. Very weird.

And there was a few other issues. Then I called Home depot to have them come back. They came back a week later and re-installed the door and left. After they left, we noticed the fridge door doesn't close unless you physically lift the door. Then I called home depot to come back, then a week later they came back and reinstalled it. Moving on to the washer and dryer, the first delivery company came and installed the washer, they said they couldn't installed the dryer because they smelled gas. Then they left.
I called SoCalGas, and they came and took a look, they said the gas smell is normal because we didn't cap it. They said the valve was not leaking after they tested it. But when they tried to cap it, they accidentally broke the gas valve. Then I called a plumber and fixed and replaced the valve and cap. Then I called home depot to come and install the dryer. Then they came and said they can't install a Gas dryer in the garage. And they wouldn't tell me why. I got so frustrated, but eventually they told me that the Gas dryer need to be 18" off the floor and have a concrete wall between the dryer and the car.
I was so pissed off at the moment because when they came the first time, why didn't they tell me that. Instead, I ended wasting 2 weeks and still don't have the dryer installed. Then I called Home depot trying to file a complaint, they were not helpful at all. And I can't return these items because home depot doesn't take returns on previously installed appliances. I will only buy from Costco in the future. Costco would have given me zero issues.

Bought a dishwasher, range and microwave from Home Depot. Paid for installation of the dishwasher. Exact same model as the one already installed--just a different color. Installer came and said they couldn't install it because it was a "side-mount" and the board on the right side was missing. Oddly enough, when the dishwasher was installed two years ago, Home Depot installers removed the board to install the dishwasher and we just never got around to putting it back on. So obviously, the board in question was not integral to the installation.
While I was annoyed, I let it go and asked if they would take out the dishwasher. Nope, because it would leave an open water line (which was shut off). So then I asked if they could install one of the other appliances. Nope, "that's not how it works". So all the appliances were left in the garage--blocking the egress point from the house. I had to go out the front door and through the garage door to make sure there was no damage.

Don't understand negative complaints on this site. Bought a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator and was told that any damage needed to be reported within 48 hours. Ten days later my wife noticed some damage on the side of refrigerator, close to the floor. It was obvious that the refrigerator had been dropped. We went to the store and talked with a lady in the Appliance Dept. She called Whirlpool and they stated that they would have somebody come out look at it.
The man came arrived on schedule and was polite and professional. He took pictures and submitted a report to Whirlpool before leaving the house, and told Whirlpool that the damage was such that it could not be repaired. He told us that it was obvious that the damage was caused in shipment and that he did not think Whirlpool would consider it a defect in manufacture. He suggested that we again contact the store and tell them that they could obtain the pictures and a copy of his report from Whirlpool.
We returned to Home Depot and again talked to somebody in the Appliance Section. They again contacted Whirlpool and the refrigerator was replaced within a few days. Granted we had to jump through some hoops, but they were not difficult hoops by any stretch of the imagination. Everyone that we dealt with was courteous and helpful. True, the refrigerator should not have been damaged in the first place, but as they say, (clean version) stuff happens. Once the damage was reported to Home Depot they took all the proper actions to make things right. I don't see how they could have treated us any better.

So it use to be that you could buy an appliance and be sure that if it didn't meet your needs that you could return or exchange it within a reasonable amount of time. That was a predominate change from the 60's and 70's where you were out of luck when you walked out the door. That was a great change to support customers during the 80', 90's and 00's but it no longer is true.
It seems that GE, who sells their refrigerators thru Home Depot, now (although you aren't told at delivery) provide a 48 hour return practice. Any contact outside the 48 hours is met with penalties and delivery delays. Home Depot (who I purchase the refrigerator from) now hides behind the GE program because they have conveniently decided to not provide a customer service program to support these events. THEREFORE, if you decide to Change, Upgrade or Return your refrigerator you are out of luck without absorbent return charges being added on to any of the actions above.... Well so much for buying USA product.

Two years ago we bought a Samsung electric slide in stove from Home Depot with a three year extended warranty. Two months ago we turned on the self-cleaning function and it burnt out the oven and the control panel for the stove. After doing some research we discovered this is a very common problem with this model of Samsung stove. We immediately notified Home Depot. The company that handled their extended warranties spent a month asking us to prove we had the warranty even though we sent them a copy of the sales receipt four times, which is what they required as proof. We were constantly in contact with the local Home Depot in Westminster, CO. They were no help and just kept referring us to their extended warranty company. Finally, after a month Home Depot sent out a repair tech. He fixed the stove but told us not to use the self-cleaning function because it will only burn out again and was a fire hazard.
We were outraged to learn that Home Depot was selling a product that was a known fire hazard. We filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Colorado Attorney General's consumer protection office, sent a registered letter of complaint to the President of Home Depot (who never responded) and finally, contacted a lawyer. We spent hours on the phone with Home Depot and their extended warranty company. Finally, with the threat of legal action after two months of fighting, Home Depot fully refunded the price of the stove and the cost of the extended warranty.
We recommend two things: one, don't buy Samsung appliances; research on the web shows that they all are inferior products except their cellphones and TVs. Second, don't buy an appliance or an extended warranty on anything purchased at Home Depot. They do not stand behind their products or their warranties. You might consider not buying anything from Home Depot unless it is nails or screws.

I have had the absolute WORST experience ordering and installing from HOME DEPOT. I ordered a dishwasher back on August 20th and it’s October now and it has still not been installed after wasting so much of my time and money waiting around for them to come to my home on 6 different occasions without doing anything but wasting my time. They delivered a broken dishwasher that could not be installed, yet they will not replace the dishwasher that they delivered to me broken.
Trying to resolve this situation has been a nightmare. I have been on numerous calls with HOME DEPOT, the delivery/install Company (HOME DELIVERY AMERICA) and manufacturer MAYTAG. When I speak to Home Depot representatives I have been transferred or aimlessly put on hold to be pawned off on other associates that I have to re-explain the problem who have either hung up or put me on hold to talk to someone else who can’t help. Now they tell me that they will send someone to repair a dishwasher. But why should I have a refurbished dishwasher when I paid top dollar for a brand new one!?
The Install team doesn’t even actually do any work. Instead of telling me all the issues they see on the first attempt they tell me each problem on another occasion telling me that they can’t install because of something else. They also don’t keep appointments. I scheduled an appointment with them and they didn’t put it in the system so it had to be rescheduled. Today they did not even call or show up for the appointment. I called to report it and have them come but the company cannot get in touch with their own workers! Because no one works at HOME DELIVERY AMERICA! Employed by HOME DEPOT! Why do you rip your customers off and waste their time and money!? I am outraged by the incompetence and lack of responsibility of Home Depot on all levels. I would not recommend them to anyone and will be writing reviews and letters.

First of all never buy a Samsung Brand appliance. We were warned that service on Samsung was very difficult. Second don't bother buying the extended appliance warranty from Home Depot unless you have lots of extra time in your life to deal with actually getting service work done. I have needed service twice this year on 3 year old Samsung appliances. The first time it was my fridge and it took the warranty company 2 months to get it repaired after sending the service person twice to the wrong address and actually three service trips to fix the problem.
The 2nd time it was our Samsung washing machine. It has been 3 months and the warranty company has just now decided to pay us the original price for the washing machine since they can not get anyone to fix it (we will see if my check actually shows up). This is after spending many hours on the phone and going to the store twice to complain to the store manager that my machine was not getting repaired. Stay away, stay away, stay away, stay away from Samsung and Home Depot added warranty service.

Take a few months off from work first. That way you won't have to explain to your boss why you're coming in late. (I had 6 different delivery/install days!) I decided on July 10 2019 to buy my kitchen appliances from them. I knew it might cost a little bit more money ($7500) but I wanted to give them the business. Unfortunately, I decided to buy 3 appliances from 3 different manufacturers. Maybe that was my downfall. We set up a delivery date of Aug 17 (1st delivery date[DD]). Over a month away but they said they would need to make sure they get all 3 appliances together before delivery. I was not in a hurry so I agreed to that.
Aug 9 LG called about the fridge. It was being phased out. They offered me another one. But it wouldn't be available until Sept. Okay. Set up for Sept 6 (2nd DD). Sept 6 comes along and guess what? No delivery. I called the delivery company Home Depot uses. They said the GE Stove was on back order. Lol. But they forgot to call me. New date scheduled for Sept 12 (3rd DD). Sept 12: uh huh, you guessed it. No delivery. No calls. I called them. They said the stove didn't make it to the delivery truck. New date scheduled for Sept 18 (4th DD) (I normally love double Ds but not in this case).
Sept 18: Johnny and Jeffrey show up to deliver appliances. Right away they say they cannot install Bosch Dishwasher. It's too far away from sink! They make a note of it and say someone will call me to arrange a date for that install. No one called. I called on Sept 21. Cassandra schedules me for Sept 24. I specifically ask if they will have everything they need to do the install. She says yes. Sept 24: CJ and another guy show up. Right away they say they can't install the dishwasher cause they don't have the right part. HOLY COW! They weren't told what to bring. CJ says he will personally take care of it on Sept 26. He did. I gave Home Depot over $7500. My girlfriend says for that amount of money they should have worn white gloves and kissed my ** to get this right. Wow.

After 3-4 calls to the store over the next 5 1/2 hours, we were told several times that there was a delay, but we should receive our call soon and that they had no way to contact the delivery company.
Finally at 6:30 PM, 15 minutes after our last inquiry, we received a callback from the store stating they were able to contact the delivery company and our order was not on the truck and would not be delivered. We have no explanation as to what happened and no one notified us until 5 1/2 hours after our delivery window ended that our delivery would not actually occur. They also post pictures of the interior of the house from a real estate company - kind of creepy. The last time I had such poor performance from a vendor was a product from Sears. We called in the morning to confirm a delivery time and were told there was no refrigerator. We spoke with Debbie at GE Appliance Delivery. According to Debbie, they did not have our refrigerator to deliver and she had no idea where it was. She suggested I call the manufacturer. (??) I told Debbie that we took the day off from work to be home to accept the delivery, and someone from GE Appliance Delivery should have called us if they knew they had no refrigerator to deliver as scheduled that day.
Debbie said it was not GE Appliance Delivery's responsibility to let customers know if they are not getting a delivery as scheduled from them. (??) I tried calling Home Depot but got nowhere. The woman I spoke to said that I was 7th in line to be delivered. From 1030 am to 230 pm. So I asked her if it was a safe plan to expect them to arrive around 1230 to 1 pm. She said yes. Then the prearrival call was not made to me. Then my daughter who was at work called me and said they were at the house. She text me the number they called her from.
When I called them I was in route to my house. This delivery was a must happen today delivery. To help you understand how important, I am going to tell you that because this delivery didnt happen my family has to use ice coolers. Water logged food and the inability to store food sanitary. My calls kept getting dropped and after I begged to speak to a supervisor, my calls were answered by their staff being rude, not understanding and lying to me. Because my number came up the first time I called them.
Jeremy answered and knew who I was without me telling him my number. I tried at least 5 times with them pretending to not be able to hear me and never allowed me to speak to a supervisor. I got a person who lives 2 blocks away to come let them in. 6 minutes after the truck left my home. They would not turn around. They were offered additional cash for the drivers and would not accommodate my emergent need for our fridge to be delivered. Next available delivery 1 week away. So because my request to be contacted was not done. So I could call friend down 2 blocks. Our family will have another week without proper food refrigeration. I would not recommend anyone to go thru this delivery company at all. My rating is really 0/5.
They lack the ability to consider the impacts of their decisions on other humans. I have not one thing positive to say after this was said and done. My good faith communication was not done. Even when they see that they failed my request, they would not work with me. And they would not extend the wait time for me to reach my neighbor. 6 min after they drove away, they would not make an exception. I spoke to Abby, the escalation manager, and she stated that is the policy and she could not override the process. She did offer a form to file for $50.00 stipend for laundromat expenses. MY DISGUST with Home Depot and Samsung Appliance Process August 29, 2019. VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER H ** Atlanta, Ga. On July 8, 2019 we purchased a complete appliance package (Refrigerator, Stove, Microwave, and Dishwasher) from Home Depot. Delivery was set-up 8 days later by Home Depot. We have already paid for the package.
The day before delivery July 15, 2019 NO Call to confirm the delivery. On the date of delivery July 16th, we’re finally given a call and the delivery is 1 ½ hours AFTER the latest delivery time. Stove and microwave installed no problem. The refrigerator is installed but the freezer doesn’t work. Brand new refrigerator so OBVIOUSLY ALL THE FOOD IN THE FREEZER SPOILS. We are headed out of town so we don’t know that the Brand New Freezer doesn’t work. We get back in town 3 days later and find the food spoiled. Now we call Home Depot and tell them the Freezer doesn’t work. We go to the store. NOW they tell us about some type of 48 hour notification upon delivery. You can’t deliver a paid for appliance in 8 days AND 1 ½ LATE but you can tell me about a 48 hour notification time when I’m not at home.
Also AFTER they take out my dishwasher it won’t fit because the counter is not high enough, must be raised 2 inches. Needless to say I’m NOT Happy about that so me and my wife debate about a smaller dishwater or raising the counter. Decide to raise the counter at our expense. They take the dishwater back but NOW mine doesn’t work.
Now back to the nonsense. Home Depot and Samsung start to argue about this 48 hour notification while I still don’t have a working refrigerator that is brand new. This goes on for 3 hours in the store like we have time for this. Finally the store manager states a service tech will need to confirm the freezer doesn’t work and they schedule a tech. We still don’t have a fridge or dishwasher. It’s July 24, 2019 and we’re going vacation in a week. It takes 4 business days for the tech to arrive July 29, 2019. Tech arrives and states the freezer doesn’t work, Brand New refrigerator. He now orders the new fridge, it now 2 weeks and we still don’t have a fridge or dishwasher. We leave for vacation on August 3, 2019 and you know Home Depot and Samsung have a 48 hour notification process. So we decide to wait until we get back from vacation, we paid for the appliances on July 8.
On August 3 we’re getting on the ship for vacation, my wife is on the phone for 1 ½ hours at the dock, dealing with these issues. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING, can’t even go on vacation dealing with nonsense. We get back and they deliver the fridge and dishwasher on August 14, 2019 over a month NO FRIDGE or dishwasher. They install the fridge. IT WORKS, but NOW the dishwasher wheels won’t rise up. You must be joking. So we tell them to take back the dishwater. It seems you would check the appliances before you deliver them to save everybody time and aggravation.
They now schedule the dishwasher to be redelivered 1 week later August 21, 2019, 6 weeks from when we paid for appliances and still not in. Now they deliver the dishwasher 7am in the morning. NO call. The delivery guy gets there and now states they can’t install the dishwasher because the tile on the floor is blocking it. I’m EXTREMELY DISGUSTED at this point and tell just leave the dishwasher I’ll have it put in myself. DISGUSTED Customer H ** August 29, 2019

DO NOT LET THE INSTALLERS take your appliance out of the box until they have removed your old (in this case) dishwasher. While they were inside with me, telling me they couldn't remove my old unit, someone in the truck unboxed the new unit and threw away the insulation! Unbelievable. Further, since they had 18 installs scheduled that day, they HAD to find reasons not to do some of them. There is NO WAY to do a good job installing appliances 18 times in 18 different homes in one work day. Thus, they look for any excuse to move onto the next house without doing the job. And, apparently, remove any items that might slow them down (in this case, the insulation around the unit).

Upon opening it, I found it was an item that had been opened, taken out and then returned. I paid full price and this was not acceptable. I started a return immediately and put the box with the shipping label taped to it on my front porch. I called Home Depot everyday to make sure the return was in order and that it was going to be picked up. Everyday for 4 days their reps assured me everything was fine, and that it would be picked up between 8am and 8pm.
Today, the 5th day, I called again, because no one had come to pick it up. That's when the rep told me it was a purchase from a 3rd party vendor (what?!) and that the vendor would not pay for pick up. She patched in the UPS rep, (UPS outsources their cust. svc. to other countries) who said I could take the large, very heavy pkg. to the UPS store or wave down a UPS driver in my neighborhood. After I get home from work. Yeah, right. By the time I realized UPS was no help, the HD rep was off the line. So it boils down to HD not letting their customers know that their product is coming from another company, and for not taking responsibility for their bad choices. Now I have to find someone to lift the package into my car, so I can take it to the UPS location during my lunch hour, and hope there is someone who can carry the package out. All to get my money back for a used item that I thought I was buying new. Shame on you, Home Depot. Never again.

Moving into a new house - need a washer and dryer. The delivery date was put 4 weeks out so we had to spend first 2 weeks without either. When they were delivered the delivery guys said there was a problem with the wall plug (receptacle), and that the dry works fine because when you jiggle the plug in the wall - the light comes on for a split second. I had him write it on the delivery receipt and then I signed the delivery receipt thinking that was enough proof. I missed the line on the receipt where the Driver was supposed to sign. He never signed, so I'm not sure if I can even use the receipt as proof of that person being here. In any case I had an electrician come to the house to check on the wall receptacle to see if it is functioning properly. He said that the problem is definitely with the machine (Dryer). My wife then call Home Depot Customer service and they get Samsung and the Delivery company on the phone to help.
Samsung provides only 2 options - go through the warranty department and get it fixed for free (which is eventually what we chose) or file a complaint with the delivery company and HD to have the dryer returned and a new one sent out to us. The delivery company representative (Forward Air Inc.) got upset at the Home Depot representative for asking on our behalf to see the delivery documentation and refused to help us. My wife will be calling to share her feedback with the delivery company that their drivers should not provide advice on whether or not an appliance is functioning as designed - they should always defer to the customer and take the machine back if it is not functioning properly. In any case I will be paying off this washer and dryer and any other charges on my HD credit card and then closing the account and shopping at Lowe's for the foreseeable future.
Why pay a company thousands of dollars to have them outsource a delivery and then NOT help you sort out the mess when their product does not work? I will be sharing this feedback with Home Depot as well. I know I can probably kiss the $150 for the electrician goodbye, but I'll ask all three companies anyway. I guess that's baseball. Samsung is not to blame (except for the defective product) - Home Depot is partially to blame (for outsourcing delivery and being unwilling to help when we purchased the product from them) - the Delivery Company is entirely to blame for offering advice on a product that they do not sell (they only sell their labor) - I am partially to blame for thinking that anything will ever go as planned in my life and assuming that "these guys do this all the time, it must be the wall plug". I will attempt to update this post if I can later on as the saga continues. There is still a broken dryer in my house. Miles to go before we sleep.

Paid for delivery, installation and haul away of Dishwasher. Waited 2 weeks for delivery. Third party delivery showed up at 5:40pm on a Friday. Parked in the middle of the street rather than backing into driveway. Invented several excuses such as... Cannot locate water shut-off, showed them where it was. Then they said it had to be next to water faucet per code. Drain line was too short; I suggested they use existing drain line. Called Home Depot, they set me up in their Pro Finder and I located someone else to come out to install.
They used existing shut-off and said there is no such code so long as there is a shutoff. They came prepared with longer drain hoses as that is a very common impediment, but used existing drain hose. Contacted Home Depot for remedy. They insisted I return the drain hose to the store for a refund. Same with installation kit. Well your 3rd party took them. Are they going to now come and haul away the old one. Certainly not. One of the main reasons for purchasing the appliance there was to get everything in 1 transaction. But ended up being my own contractor, managing multiple steps in the project.

We purchased an LG refrigerator from Home Depot! Big mistake. We also purchased the extended warranty through Asurion, which "assures" that if the appliance has to be fixed more than three times it would be replaced under the "lemon law" terms in the contract. That is rubbish. Our ice maker broke down and it took nine times for a technician to figure out what actually was wrong. Each time a technician was called out and "worked" on everything imaginable. Nothing worked.
Finally the ninth call-out a technician said the problem was in the entire door and they would replace the door. They finally replaced the entire door with ice maker and the ice maker worked for only one year. It again stopped making ice and we called the extended warranty and they sent out another technician. We waited one week and after not having heard from the warranty company we called and they stated the technician never even got back with them and they assumed it was closed. My husband was livid and asked to speak with a manager. This is simply ridiculous. The repeated time taken off work for over 10 times now for a refrigerator's ice maker that simply will not work. We will NEVER buy a product from Home Depot as they do not honor the terms of the extended warranty. Go anywhere but Home Depot for your appliances.

Ordered a Maytag washer from Home Depot online. Bought the hoses, the drain hose, paid for the removal and earliest delivery was almost two weeks. Delivery guy came today and said 1. The drain hose couldn’t be hooked up because the washer is in the basement. Told him the salesman said it drains up to 8 feet. 2. He then said the hose was too long and he couldn’t install. 3. Gave him the old drain hose, he said he was only allowed to use new parts. 4. Told him installation was what I paid Home Depot for, he said he doesn’t work for Home Depot.
Tried to call HD customer service six different numbers and all I got was a recording saying delivery was scheduled for today. Finally called and followed prompt for new order and got a customer service rep. Canceled the order, refused delivery. Went online to C... ordered a machine and delivery is this Saturday - no charge for delivery, removal of old machine or parts. There you have it - one company gives service to its consumer and one company could care less. But I will give the HD customer service guy five stars since he reversed the charges on my HD credit card and said it should show up in 3-5 business days. Closing my HD credit card, just not worth the hassle.

I bought a washer and a dryer from Home Depot which they said they had 27 in stock. I had to wait 10 days to receive the shipment from the warehouse. Home Depot's, Ovation Delivery guys brought just the Dryer initially and said the Washer was on back order. When I called Home Depot Appliance section in Edmonton the salesperson started acting up and was not very helpful. Called Home Depot projects had to wait on the line for 30 minutes two times and had to wait on line for 15 minutes to get in touch with Customer Service Agent. Couldn't left a message. Contradicting statements from Home Depot stating the driver could not load the Washer since there was no space in the vehicle. Which was not what was stated before and the driver said the unit was back ordered. Agent at Home Depot said they would compensate me for the trouble.
Finally the Washer arrived at 6.30pm while my whole day was ruined just waiting for the appliances. Not a very good experience. Ovation/Home Depot gives a window of 4 hours to deliver was given 8.00am to 12.00pm. Did not deliver all the appliances and spent my whole day waiting for the appliances. Home Depot claims that the problem is not theirs but the Delivery people. How is that Home Depot does not take responsibility of their Delivery people whom they have contracted?

Where do I begin? We purchased a new Whirlpool kitchen combo on 5/26/19. This consisted of a new dishwasher, stove, microwave, and fridge. We had an original delivery date of 6/22/19. We had some things come up and therefore pushed our deliver date out until 7/13/19. We removed all of our own appliances from our kitchen on Tuesday, 7/9/19 because we were also having new flooring put in by Home Depot on 7/11 & 7/12. Whelp, the kitchen combo never showed up on Saturday 7/13 and no one knew where it was!!!! To this day, we have not received an explanation as to why we never got our appliances on 7/13. We got the runaround from Home Depot and Whirlpool. On Tuesday, 7/16 we called Whirlpool because WE STILL HAD NOT HEARD ANYTHING!!!! And we're told it would be delivered the next day, 7/17/19.
Keep in mind, we both have full-time jobs and had to take two days off of work to have the flooring done, and we did not have any appliances for a week! Unacceptable customer service! AND we had been paying on our items since June! Now onto the washer and dryer. What a JOKE! We did get those items on 7/13, everything hooked up and guess what, dryer doesn't work! We were told we had to deal with Samsung directly if we wanted a new unit - As I am writing this review, we still do not have our new dryer. We are scheduled to FINALLY get it tomorrow, 7/23....biggest pain ever.
A company as big as Home Depot, Samsung, and Whirlpool can do better than this. Shame on all of you. Without your customers you have no business. We are more than likely going to cancel our Home Depot accounts and go with someone else that will go out of their way for their customers. We are in the year 2019... Things don't just "get lost" without an explanation and if a BRAND NEW DRYER doesn't work, the customer should get a spare in the interim until a new one can be brought to them. PERIOD. There really is just no excuse. You want good customer service then change your way of thinking and truly be there for your customers. Shannon and Lee ** of Meridian, Idaho.

Our delivery was scheduled for Monday morning 9am-1pm. Received confirmation the evening before. The morning of, we received a call at 9:30am that our delivery was being delayed because the truck was broke down and it couldn't be rescheduled until Wednesday morning. I had checked and there were 7 deliveries ahead of us. Why did it take until 9:30am to tell us that the truck basically never showed up to the warehouse to pick up the deliveries. I know this because I was offered the ability to pick up the item. I would have picked it up except they refused to put it on my vehicle for me. I would have had help at home, but not at warehouse...
I complained to them and Home Depot and got nowhere. Home Depot gave us a concession refund of $125 and promised the item would arrive on Wednesday and that we would be earlier on the schedule. That felt great and appropriate. Well, guess what, it's Wednesday morning (today) and I get another call that the item can't be delivered because the truck is broke down. WOW! I'm starting to think that they need better trucks or need to rent a truck. Turns out that they just have contractors as truck drivers and they neither Home Depot or this company have control over it. What a joke and waste of time and money! Again, I had to take off work, rearrange my schedule again, because of the confirmation the evening before, only to have it cancelled again last minute. This is beyond frustrating.
After going back and forth with Home Depot, and ForwardAir, I was given a $75 concession by ForwardAir and they promised my fridge would be delivered on Friday!! I have an infant and a 3 year old and a breastfeeding wife and have now been without a fridge for 1.5 weeks and Friday will almost make it 2 weeks, if THEY EVEN SHOW UP!! Which is at this point is completely a joke! I'm starting to think that the whole "the truck broke down gag" is just a lie to appease customers. Whether the driver called in sick or didn't show up because it was too hot, or they were overbooked, I'm pretty sure that they just kicked me to the curb again.
I have now taken off work twice and they want me to do it again on Friday and trust that they will show up! No thanks!! Instead I had a friend take off work, we rented a dolly from Uhaul and we went and picked up the dang thing ourselves. And they WOULDN'T EVEN HELP US LOAD IT IN THE TRUCK!! And when I called to have it set up for Will Call, the woman argued with me about it having been cancelled on Monday and today and said it was scheduled for friday. She was incredibly rude and told me that if it was cancelled, then I would have gotten my money back. It was completely uncalled for and unacceptable conduct. I just wish I would have gotten her name. I told her that semantics aside, it seems that they aren't able to deliver my fridge and I want to just pick it up myself.
I feel like someone in upper management needs to know to be fixing this problem and that if Home Depot is trusting this company to deliver goods for them, then they are in a lot of trouble. There need to be contingencies in place for when something like this happens. A local store could have sent two guys and a truck and a dolly to pick it up, just like I had to do and it would save a lot of trouble.
I promise, this is the LAST appliance that I will EVER purchase from Home Depot and everyone in my circle will know as well. After years of preferring Lowe's, I was actually warming up to home depot during this experience, prior to the delivery fiasco. I have lost at least 10 hours of work due to this, lost face with my boss, caused undue stress to my breastfeeding wife and myself, and more lost groceries, and more ice I had to purchase. I don't think I will ever trust you to successfully deliver something again. I hope this gets fixed in the long-term, for the sake of your business, but this was miserable. All of your Home Depot customer service people were very helpful and nice, but it was obvious that they really have no power to do anything to actually help me.

Appliances (Fridge, Dishwasher, and Range) were promised to be delivered on 7/11 (our 21 year anniversary) from 4-8 pm. So we cancelled our plans in anticipation for our new kitchen. Around 7:15 pm we received a call from the delivery guy saying they were running behind and there were at least 5 people in front of us. I told the delivery guy that I just wanted to know if they were going to come or not, but he would not commit either way. He just gave me the runaround saying he didn't know if they would be able to make it or not. Basically, he wanted ME to cancel the delivery, not him so that his paperwork would say the customer cancelled. So at 8:45 pm he calls back and says there were still 2 other customers front of me. So again, I ask if the delivery would still happen and once again he wanted ME to cancel. It's like he refused to say "We are running late and WE CAN'T deliver. I ended up canceling that day due to it being so late.
It would have been 11 or 12! So I had to call back the next day to reschedule. At this time the online confirmation said the appliances had been delivered. Well, that wasn't true! Since they only delivered in my area one day a week it was the next Thursday 7/18 before I could get at new appt. So for the next week I checked my online delivery appoint and it said Thurs 7/18 from 4-8. They updated the new delivery info! But on 7/17 when they called to confirm the appointment THEY had changed the time slot to 7-11 AM! So all week I had been arranging to be home from 4-8, but now they say 7-11 AM. I had been planning for the wrong time slot because of what it said online. When calling to change this or at least express my concern the customer service rep for the delivery company was rude and hateful and said that the time slot online was from the last week, not the new week. Makes sense right, the date was correct, but not the time.
The info online should have been correct! Unfortunately I could not rearrange another day for work so I had to call Home Depot to cancel. HOME DEPOT DID NOT CARE. THE DELIVERY COMPANY DID NOT CARE. It took me all of 3 minutes to cancel a $3,700.00 order and not one person asked why or was even the least bit concerned. I was gone in the click of a couple of buttons at Murfreesboro, TN Home Depot. Lots of time, energy, and frustration wasted on Home Depot. I am so disappointed and angry.

When getting ready to install the dishwasher we noticed the door wouldn't close, we opened it and realized the basin was dented on the inside back bottom and top and there was in fact a dent in the back that was perfect straight line that was overlooked (most likely because it looks like part of the design). Since it was after 48 hours Home Depot has washed their hands off the problem. They refuse to exchange the dishwasher because their policy is 48 hour return on appliances (who realistically installs all their appliances within 48 hours of delivery??).
The advice I got from Home Depot is to go through the manufacturer and have a repair person look at it. The repair person came out and said there is nothing he could do. We then had a lengthy conversation about how of all the appliance vendors Home Depot has the worst customer service and frequently delivers damaged appliances. Luckily the manufacturer is Maytag and they have been working very patiently in seeing if they can replace the damaged dishwasher from Home Depot. I purchased a refrigerator and five year protection plan and uploaded the receipts and documentation. The refrigerator now needs a third repair for the same problem. I spent two hours on the phone with Home Depot trying to schedule a repair but was not able to because Home Depot "randomly selects" customers to review and research, requiring them to re-provide the receipts and documentation (that was already submitted and used for the previous two repairs) in order to schedule a repair. This review takes three days after you re-provide your receipts before you can call back in to try and schedule the repair. The interesting thing is that while on the two hour call last night I heard a recorded voice tell me several times to upload my receipts now so I won't have to "worry about lost or faded receipts"... Unless you are randomly selected four years after your purchase to find those faded receipts, upload them and wait for the review.

Purchased an electric hot water heater to replace my old one, asked for the install through their contractor. Got a call from a number with no caller I'd info. Had a nice lady who stated they would be sending someone out for an estimate, she also mentioned having to pull permits. Now having rehashed homes in the past I questioned her about the permits. My State doesn't require a permit to replace a water heater as long as it is 1 not moved to another location and is not a conversion from electric to gas. I knew that I didn't need a permit and told her so where she lied to me saying code had changed. I scheduled the guy to come out for a quote. Then proceeded to call both the county and state to check if the code had changed. It had not, as long as the existing heater was at code I didn't need to pull permits or have a state inspector come out.
I then got a call from the guy who was supposed to come out for the quote. He sounded as if he wasn't interested in coming out and asked some questions. I answered them, he then told me to start. The install best case scenario with no problems was going to cost 779.00. I responded I had already purchased the heater and to be safe new lines even though the lines on my old one are pristine. I live in a hard water area my old 10 years hot water heater had no issues that I was replacing before it became an issue. Was that just the cost of install or all inclusive. NOPE just the install. He explained the permits and inspectors fee was over half of the total cost, that's when I informed him I had already verified that neither were necessary. He basically told me I didn't know what I was talking about. I then told him that had a permit been required it was only 30 dollars.
He then started in on a list of extras he was legally obligated to put in to bring my house to code, I told him none were necessary as I knew my house was code as I had already contacted the last plumber who replaced the heater just prior to me buying my house had planned on him doing the work but he had retired. I had also had other plumbers give me quotes on replacement with them providing the tank it was around 800 total being the highest. He told me good luck. I couldn't possibly get an insured and bonded plumber for that price.
So between my purchasing the hot water heater and his install quote I was at a bit over 1300 dollars, I called Home Depot cancelled the order told them what a scammer the installation company was and hired another plumber who installed the exact water heater charged me 100 more for the unit and 65 dollars per hour labor. My total cost was under 700 dollars less than 79 dollars the scammers wanted to charge for just the install and I saved 448 dollars on the unit I purchased from Home Depot. Buyer beware check the info they give you to make sure it's not a pressure to charge you more for products or services that are not needed.
They claimed a plumber could give the same warranty as Home Depot, it's the company that manufactures the product that has a limited warranty, not Home Depot and how good is it when it's not HomeDepot doing the work but referrals to their preferred contractors (or preferred scammers). I just wonder how many older people have been had for paying an inflated quote. Remember he said 779 minimum. I imagine the sky would be the limit depending on the location and appearance of the home and how much money he could get out of them, Disgusting. I did leave a negative feedback on their page. This is the second time I had issues. The first was resolved when I contacted the corporate office. This issue isn't directly due to any misrepresentation of Home Depot just who they choose to delegate Business to.

I went to Home Depot (after horrible experience at Lowe's) to buy a washer and dryer that were advertised to be on sale. Found a young lady, very polite I might add - to get me a sales associate. Well... Is it a prerequisite that employees at these stores NOT know how to do a sale? The guy informs me that his department is counter tops but that he'd try and help me. He got through everything on the washer but when he started on the dryer, he got confused. At that point, he asked me to wait 30 - 40 minutes until the sales associate for that department came in. Are you telling me that there was no one else in that store that could ring up a sale. After dealing with both Home Depot and Lowe's in one day - I came home without either a washer or dryer.

My wife and I bought $1600 Samsung refrigerator three weeks ago. It has not made ice from day one, and we have had 3 service calls. The service techs are performed under contract with DIRECTV and Home Depot will not honor any return after 48 hrs. The irony is that the ice maker must be installed for 24 hrs before it will even try to make ice and by then you have only a few hours to report the problem; or Home Depot will tell you to go fly a kite. At least that is what the Englewood/Port Charlotte Fl store did to me. Find an established mom and pop store aligned with a major buying group. They have a better reason to help you out than a big box. I wish I had followed my since learned advice!

My Rheem water heater started leaking around the heating element after one week. Home Depot would not allow a return. The manufacturer would not allow return but simply to send out a service rep to look at it. I will not purchase any more appliances from Home Depot as they do not have an acceptable return policy.

Home Depot is a great resource for day to day jobs around the house, however if you ever make the mistake of buying appliances from them (like we did), never ever go for their installation and delivery. We thought it would be a one stop shop to pay for everything and have the peace of mind. Far away from it! The moment you pay you will have to deal with what they call Home Depot Project Center. That is a glorified term for a call center with incompetent rude and unprofessional staff, all they do they defer you to the installation guy and the delivery guy. Very poor quality service. Our experience was worse than a nightmare.
First dishwasher arrived, broken. The second was supposed to come between 8 to 12 noon, but it arrived at 10PM without any notification before, or any apologies after. Then the installation guy showed up a few days later to look briefly at our kitchen cabinet and said, oh you are 1/8 of an inch short, so I can't install it! An obvious attempt to make a project for himself. I returned the whole thing, went back to the store and bought a floor unit, rented their truck and took it home, and installed it that evening all by myself, all said and done in less than 3 hrs. Home Depot did not make any efforts to make things right. I am extremely disappointed. Do your research, try to find another merchant to stand behind their products. If you have to buy from Home Depot, never ever get the additional services they offer.

I never thought I would have such an issue ordering a dishwasher from Home Depot. I wish I could give negative stars. I ordered on May 25th. The earliest they could deliver was June 11th. I was sick when I received it, but upon initial inspection it looked fine. I went to install it on the weekend a few days later with the help of my dad. That is when we noticed that one side had a bracket that was completely bent as if they had dropped it off a truck. This caused the door to not open all the way. I called Home Depot and they told me there was nothing they could do about it as 48 hours had passed. They told me that I would have to get it repaired under warranty.
I had a repairman come out today and he was able to get the door opening by hitting the bracket with a hammer for 10 minutes. After he left, I went to move the dishwasher when the bottom metal plate popped off on that side. I then saw that the leg was bent sideways. I called the repairman back and he says they would have to come take a look at it again, but that they wouldn't be able to come out again until Tuesday.
He said the metal bracket is part of the tub so if they are unable to fix it he would order a tub, but I think what they mean by fix it, is hit it with a hammer some more. He said if they had to order a tub, it would likely take 3-4 weeks. For the time being I have a $900 paperweight. I am beyond annoyed. When buying a high end appliance, I expect new and functional. Not something that looks like I bought it used off Craigslist. I have no idea if and when I'll have a functional dishwasher or if other components were damaged possibly shortening the life of the dishwasher.

I bought a dryer from Home Depot 2 on the 18th of June. Went to plug it in and to my surprise it was not working. The delivery people didn't hook it up, didn't even tried it on to see if it was working at all. I called Appliance delivery to ask them to send someone else to install my dryer, to wish I was promised to send someone over on June 20th. At 6pm I called again to ask when these people will be here and to my surprise they didn't sent anyone to my home to install my dryer. I am so disappointed, so angry, so aggravated with appliance delivery!!! If I could give ZERO star I would!

Bought an appliance suite at Home Depot. Whirlpool - Dishwasher, range, refrigerator, microwave $2400.00. The salesperson was extremely nice. They delivered my appliances 1 month later, charged me $159.00 - only Included installing the range and refrigerator. I installed the dishwasher and tried to install the microwave myself as they were going to charge me an additional $250.00 per item to install. The microwave was missing parts; no brackets attached to microwave —couldn’t attach! I asked to exchange, their answer was No. I asks to return it for a refund. Again, their answer was No. I asked if they would come help me install it (maybe they had a professional who could help me somehow adjust and make it fit as they would not exchange it). Their answer was No. Terrible customer service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HOME DEPOT WHATSOEVER! I will NEVER SHOP HOME DEPOT AGAIN. I will go to Lowe’s as I should have in the first place.

Purchased a new GE Refrigerator online and had wrong delivery address. Notified Home Depot in advance of delivery via customer service 800# and was told impossible to change delivery address. Requested to speak to manager, manager stated she contacted delivery service and delivery address was changed. Delivery called 30 minutes prior to delivery and wanted to verify delivery address. I told delivery driver of change of address and he stated to call back Home Depot to have the contact delivery service of change and to call him directly. After two more calls, another manager stated they contact the delivery driver and since new delivery address was only 8 blocks away that it would be no problem.
After 20 minutes, delivery driver called and said he was told that he could not deliver to different address and rescheduling would be done and it would be another week for delivery. In the past, had same problems, I just annotated delivery driver's copy of delivery and initial after contacting company to legally exonerate the delivery driver and the company for change of delivery-a simple fix. Yet, Home Depot does not commit to customer satisfaction or veterans, like myself, or customers in general! They spent more money having item returned, for storage space and possible liability for damage while awaiting another delivery date. Plus 800# for Major Appliance Department has no option to speak to a customer representative!
