The service people were absolutely horrible. First, they didn't deliver on the day promised. Then, when they arrived they were slow and RUDE!! They were supposed to come with everything they needed to hook it up. We paid for all the service and parts. The cord was supposed to reach and didn't so WE had to provide something to extend it. They were loud, aggressive and when they finally got it put in, it stuck out further than it was supposed to. They made excuses, but they were just bad at their job. We paid a fortune for delivery and disposal, only to realize they were the last place we should have gone for a dishwasher. TAKE MY ADVICE -- GO TO LOWE'S INSTEAD!!!

We purchased a new set of LG appliances for our home. The sales process was easy as the salesperson was very helpful and knowledgeable. Delivery and installation were a disaster. We received a text rescheduling delivery two days before expected delivery. It assigned us a new date without asking what was convenient for us. On delivery day there were several scuffs and dents in our flooring and walls. The delivery people were very insistent on putting my rug back in place so it made me suspicious. When I lifted it up, there were scratches all over my floor. Appliances were not even leveled. Our dishwasher needed a plumber to install and the plumber that was sent was great and we have no complaints about him.

Updated on 10/23/2025: Now Home Depot Jessica stated on 10/22/2025 they would come reinstall. Then contacted me 10/23/2-25, stated they cancelled my reinstall due to Unique coming out to access the washer. The warranty they contract w/ does not do installation. Then declined to fix the issue. Looks like the contract they have w/ Unique does nothing to help the customer. Basically gave me run around all way up to this point. Will be closing mob account permanently to warn others as well about my experience
Original Review: Been off & on w/ washer. 3 mos of. kssues been having many issues w/ Samsung front load washer. Samsung warranty come out today. Assessed Home Depot deliver/installation improperly installed the washer cross the water lines. I explained to Home Depot manager upon first day of installation the delivery men were in such hurry they didn't even stay to complete a wash cycle. Had they stayed they maybe find they crossed the water lines. Why I can't even get cold water on any cycles.

My new LG washer leaked. I had the washer for 1 month. Home Depot said their warranty is good only for 24 hrs. Can you imagine??? They would do nothing. My neighbor said the same thing, SHe had a problem with an appliance and after 1 week they said the same thing. Their warranty is good for only 24 hrs. I am shocked. Please beware, never buy an appliance from Home Depot. I only wish I had known.

We had the best experience purchasing our new GE Cafe 4 door white matte refrigerator. The Pro Team at store# 0652 Rancho Cordova, CA are experts to find us the finest appliances at the best price! Vikash (Vic) and Mike made our buying experience hassle-free and worry-free. They ensured the earliest delivery and scripted detailed instructions for a smooth delivery. Our community is very fortunate to have these associates working here at our Home Depot and I have already told a dozen friends to seek them out for their next purchase. Thank you , Vic and Mike. Our experience with Temco has been nothing short of awful. They were contracted to deliver our appliances from Home Depot, and the process has been a disaster from start to finish. Deliveries have been delayed over and over again, with no communication or accountability. Most recently, they showed up without the dryer we had purchased — the delivery team admitted it wasn’t even on the truck. At this point, it feels like they outright lost our appliance. Meanwhile, we’ve had to go weeks without essential items we paid thousands of dollars for.
The constant rescheduling, broken promises, and complete lack of reliability have been exhausting and costly. We’ve wasted time off work waiting at home for deliveries that never showed up, and we’re still without what we ordered. If you see Temco is handling your delivery, be prepared for endless delays, poor service, and zero accountability. They have been incompetent at every step, and customers deserve far better. Home Depot will give us a new dryer and tried to help but this delivery service has to go.

We bought a stove in store - the extra fees were a lot, but we figured we were still at a good price. The delivery company has been a nightmare and I wish I knew who they were. The first guy said they wouldn't install the stove - he came in, was on his phone for about 20 mins, and then looked at the gas piping and said it needed to be secured to the wall. He said we needed a plumber. He called a guy at a Papa Johns (he had the speaker on) and I guess was attempting to get his friend to do it for an extra cost (we paid for installation with new parts already!!) but I told him not to bother. He sat there for another 10 mins on his phone, asked if we were refusing the delivery, and then left.
The second try, we got a call in the morning saying the delivery was good to go and the truck would be arriving soon. Once it arrives, a guy gets out and says "didn't they call you? there's a part out of stock so no delivery today." He leaves. Third try was today. We've had to take off all three days from work with limited PTO because they won't give you a time estimate until day-of. We didn't get the time estimate message by around 10am so called to see what was happening. Home Depot called the delivery company, and the delivery company said they had no record of an order.
Next try will be on the 20th (10 days from now), and our order will be automatically cancelled on the 23rd since they only keep the appliance in the warehouse for 20 days. They've offered to just bring the new oven in and leave it in our house, but we paid way too much for installation and for the old one to be removed - we're not putting another dime into this!! I want to get a full refund for everything we've put into this, but my wife is still hopeful we might end up with a stove. I sincerely think they will come up with new excuses to run out the time, and then not refund us anything.

There's purchased appliances for at least ten houses in the last twenty years In south Florida. I have always dealt with the same store. Decided to buy the white LG Appliance package while nightmare from the start. First, the girl orders the wrong color microwave so that sets off the whole microwave cancelation 5 microwaves later due to warehouse damages. I was charged every single time I was charged 5 microwaves, 2 stoves and 3 dishwashers. Still don't even have my dishwasher installed. Even though I paid for installation, because these guys don't know how to install dishwashers.. I'm supposed to have my dishwasher. Reid delivered yesterday.
I get a call at seven thirty in the morning that that one is damaged.. While it's all fine and dandy, that they'll give you a couple 100 blocks on a gift card for the inconvenience. Let's talk about my Home Depot credit card that has over thirteen thousand dollars on it from a eight thousand dollar sale, which really should be seven thousand dollars and I refused the microwave and returned it fully. Was told I don't have to go to the store and they pushed it through to find out a week later. I do have to go to the store for that refund and swipe my card because it wasn't in store purchase. I am so over home depot. I don't think I will ever shop with them again. Bye bye been with you for twenty five years. Time to move on.

We spoke with customer service at Home Depot and they said that "somewhere on their web site, it says they don't take that particular model." Excuse me but a contract is a contract. Subject: Extremely Disappointed with Appliance Delivery & Customer Service. I’m writing to express my disappointment with a recent appliance order from Home Depot totaling $2,900, which included a refrigerator, stove, and microwave. Unfortunately, the experience has left me frustrated and unlikely to order from Home Depot again. When the refrigerator was delivered, the door was dented. We contacted customer service right away and spoke with a manager—her name was either Dana or Daina—who was extremely rude and dismissive. All we asked for was a replacement door, but she flatly told us it “wasn’t going to happen.” This level of customer service is unacceptable, especially after spending a significant amount of money and trusting Home Depot with a major purchase.
To make things worse, the replacement delivery was scheduled for Labor Day weekend. We had to stay home to wait for it—on my mother’s birthday—since the refrigerator was a gift for her. This entire experience was disappointing, stressful, and upsetting. For such a large purchase, I expected a higher level of care, professionalism, and support. Sadly, that was not the case.

I beg you, please do not buy an appliance from the Home Depot. I have had nothing but nightmare service and a headache ever since my washer broke, which is under warranty. They are absolutely awful to work with…. you can’t speak to a human person. My washer has now been broken for three months. First, it was impossible to make the appointment, then they ordered the wrong part, then they came out to put the correct part in, they left, and it is still broken. Now that I’m trying to go back to square one, I’m running into the same issues with making an appointment It makes much more sense to pay a little more and go to a smaller appliance store where you actually get good service if something goes wrong.

If I could give zero stars, I would! I purchased a high end stove and refrigerator for our cabin so that we could have it for our family reunion on the fourth of July. The truck showed up two weeks prior without the refrigerator. They then said that it would be delivered the next week. I had MULTIPLE calls to Home Depot to determine whether the refrigerator was coming or not. They said it was on the schedule for July 2 and that I would get a notification from the delivery company. I did not receive any notifications that it was coming and had to contact them to make sure it was coming. They said it would be there between 3 and 7 and I would get another notification (this never happened).
They would not give me the contact information of the delivery service but could only say their records stated it was being delivered. It did not show up by 7 and I called again. They said it was still coming. Finally, a truck showed up at 8:00 pm. The delivery men could not get the french doors to line up (one is about a half inch higher than the other). He said we needed to get a replacement. He would put the information in his notes and to call the store and that they would bring a replacement. They did not install the bottom pull on the freezer. My husband had to install it and we discovered the that the ends were broken.
When I called, the store said that it was the holiday weekend and I would have to call back on Monday. When I called on Monday, they said I would have to go through Frigidaire and they needed the model number and serial number (which I didn't have because I was back home and getting ready to leave on vacation for a few weeks). They said not to worry about it, just to call when I was back up there. When I finally got the information and called, they said I had to call Frigidaire directly. When I did that, Frigidaire said I had to go through Home Depot because it was broken when I received it. When I called Home Depot, they said that they had nothing in their notes so they couldn't replace it.
I am a Home Depot Pro and have spent a ridiculous amount of money at their stores. I will never deal with them again. This has been a nightmare of being on hold for hours and dealing with people who don't know what they're talking about. Every time I have to be there, I need to drive two hours. I am now waiting for a tech to come out to look at the refrigerator to tell me that yes, indeed it is broken.

DO NOT buy any major appliance from Home Depot!! We bought a KitchenAid built in refrigerator and the delivery people could not leave it in our home as it was "curbside" so it was left on our patio. Installation was NOT available at the time of delivery. We used their Pro Referral Service and another week passed before the technician could come out. The refrigerator (which weighted over 600 lbs.) was brought into our home and plugged in. We were told to wait 24 hours before plugging in. We did as advised. When we plugged in the refrigerator, the freezer never got cold. We called Home Depot and we were asking for another unit as this one was clearly defective. We were told NO RETURNS after 48 hours.
When we explained to the customer service Manager, Bri, what the situation was, she actually asked us why we didn't take it out of the box and find out if it was defective while it was sitting on our patio! What??? The level of incompetence and lack of customer service is absolutely unbelievable! We have spent tens of thousands of dollars at Home Depot over the last several years but this will be our last time. We are so disappointed with the lack of customer service behind this over $ 8000 refrigerator. Go to Costco, Pacific Sales, go anywhere except Home Depot. You have been warned!!!

Went to HD to try and find a retro looking refrigerator. I had significant difficulty looking online since the page was so full of self promoting pop ups I could not see the item or read info so I went to the local store in new hartford ct. Totally useless. Waste of time sitting with an elderly gentleman who ate his snack bar while looking online for what I was describing. He had no knowledge whatsoever on the topic. He spoke not a word to me while munching snacking and and printing out site info for me to read. He did this at my request and based on his response I thought he knew what he was doing.
He printed out info on 2 refrigerators without a word to me. He told me the classic refrigerator I was looking at had no drawers in the freezer which I found out later is not true. The pages he printed - maybe 6-8 pages each model - were useless since they were blank. Just gray bars across the page with a single picture on the first page. No info at all. The salesman gave me no info. I hope he was not sick and that is why he chose to eat rather than provide any real assistance. After 10 min, and absolutely no info I went to lowes. Total waste of time looking online or going to the store. Huge thumbs down. Trying to click on the thumbs down icon right now and the system will not let me. Dorms like a crummy way to screw their review results. Shameful store.

Very upset- when picking between Home Depot and Lowe's for a washer and dryer we went with Home Depot. We asked why can’t they just deliver it the next day and they said because they can’t. Would not recommend Home Depot and will not be a returning customer.

Purchasing an appliance at Home Depot in Cary, NC has been a nightmare. The Home Depot staff locally and nationally have not delivered on their promises or provided even basic Customer Service. Home Depot has cancelled two deliveries, on the 3rd attempt delivered a broken washing machine that flooded the laundry room and caused water damage to my first floor ceiling. Now I get to spend a great deal of time with an insurance claim with their insurer. I've already been forced to provide their insurer with the same information in two different formats. Given all I've been through (I live 45 min from this rental property), I simply asked for just a little help with getting an exact time for a replacement delivery and all I get is excuses as to why the third party hauler won't do that despite the fact they work for a large company like Home Depot.
I have a time window, but they haven't provided me with a truck tracker this time so I have to sit around and wait there and have no ability to see if there are delays, etc. We've had discussions with the Cary, NC acting store manager, the Assistant Store Manager, many people at their 800 number, and lastly the Resolutions department. They're all full of excuses but no assistance. Picture attached is the internal hosing of a brand new washing machine that caused the water damage at my unit.

Very, very, very disappointed with Home Depot Installation Services. They delivered my new dishwasher on June 26. I had paid for removal and haul away of old dishwasher. When the new dishwasher was delivered, I was told that it could not be installed because there was a leak in the cut off valve. I was told that someone would be out to replace the old valve, remove and haul away the old dishwasher and install the new dishwasher.
When I did not hear anything back from them, I contacted customer service. Someone was supposed to come out and take care of everything on July 1. No one showed up nor did they notify me they were not coming. I contacted them again on July 2 and someone was supposed to contact me today - July 7. I have not heard anything. I was also supposed to receive a $100 credit on the new dishwasher because it had a dent in the front. That credit has not been issued. The new dishwasher is still sitting in the middle of my dining room. I am a senior citizen on a limited budget and do not have the funds to pay someone else to come out and perform the services that Home Depot has not taken care of. I am a big user of reviews so I wish I had done more due diligence before buying online! The installers couldn’t use the hose I was forced to purchase with my dryer, instead using the original hose. They also broke a piece off that only hid the screws so it was purely cosmetic. But you can’t simply get that one piece as a replacement- they must replace the entire dryer. The Home Depot team NEVER called me back to schedule the dryer replacement. I went to the store to complain about the hose falling off both the dryer and the wall (see the picture) but was told I shouldn’t have accepted installation when they couldn’t replace the hose, but more importantly they couldn’t help me because I had purchased it online! I wish I had known.
I called HD and got approval for the replacement and was told they will call me between Monday and Wednesday. Of course they did not! When I called back, I was informed they had already scheduled the installation without my input! When the guys delivered, they refused to change the door direction because it wasn’t on the order! I begged and they finally did it but couldn’t install the hose because it was no longer connected to the wall! Now I have to have a plumber come out so I will incur more expense! I’ve had this dryer for 4 weeks and have only used it a handful of times before the hose broke and now I can’t use the new one at all! Beyond frustrated!

I paid $1363.00 in April 11, 2025 for a Frigidaire washer/dryer combo. It was installed on April 19, 2025. On June 25, 2025, after a week of wringing out the clothes from the washer that is not draining, I called for warranty service. Finally got an appt for July 2, 2025. The tech says the drain pump is broken and there was some concern about the motor. Today, July 3, 2025, I get a message from the techs saying the part will take 7 to 10 business days to arrive and another 48 hours to schedule install. I called Home Depot and requested a new replacement. This unit is less than 90 days old. The so called "Resolution person", a boy named 'joy" was extremely rude, would not listen and put me in a very long hold without warning. If I could have gotten to him, it would not have been nice.
I am 72 years old, I paid $1400 cash dollars. Am I suppose to lug my clothes to a laundromat? Home depot says they cannot replace. I must go with warranty. Ok, home depot, you just lost a customer and I will alert all reviews I can, after I contact my credit card company. We used to love Home Depot for the home we built and our architectural business. We recently purchased an LG washer and dryer. The installer delivered it, left it in the hallway, and then the installer came back five days later to install it. After installation (which they didn't call us in advance for; they showed up at 7:30 am unannounced), the dryer didn't work. The installer installed it and then said we have to have a drain pan installed. Our plumber did that at a cost of $300.
After about 15 calls, Home Depot said they no longer cover it after 48 hours and we have to contact the manufacturer. It would not have been possible to see that the dryer didn't work sitting in the hallway uninstalled. LG eventually came after we spoke with them several times. It turns out the Home Depot installer (Pro Home Services) broke the gas valve during installation. If you value your time, peace of mind, sanity or well-being, purchase from anyone other than Home Depot. Truly deplorable customer service that no one should ever experience.

>>> DO NOT PURCHASE LARGE APPLIANCES HERE <<< I purchased a GE profile washer/dryer May 8th, 2025 from Home Depot and paid extra for the professional installation and 3 year protection plan. We left for the weekend to attend a wedding shortly after it was installed and returned to a flooded basement. Our plumber identified that the washer/dryer was the culprit, and a faulty installation stripped one of the plastic connections causing a slow leak (which we didn’t immediately notice since it started behind the unit).
We called Home Depot who referred us to GE for a repair/replacement. GE has been to our home now 3 times over the course of 6 weeks, ordered 3 sets of parts, and has fixed absolutely nothing - their repair person actually dented the unit and the leak has broken it completely (no heat in dryer). GE stated we need to ask Home Depot for a refund or replacement, and their service tech candidly told us GE never deems a unit “unrepairable” and will continue to order random parts and schedule service appointments every two weeks hoping something works/the customer gives up.
After explaining the issue to Home Depot June 2nd, the Watchung NJ store manager refused to refund the faulty unit (which their installers broke) and told us we needed to call Allstate under our protection plan. Allstate, when called, told us they can’t replace the unit until the manufacturer warranty expires (in a whole year) and only the Home Depot can replace or refund us.
The dryer unit is still leaking, doesn’t heat, and nobody is willing to take responsibility for selling a defective product (Home Depot, GE, or Allstate). We did everything “right” and AS OF JUNE 19, 2025 have property damage (the soaked basement carpet we had to blow out for 72 hours), emotional distress, and haven’t been able to wash our clothes in our home for months. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. Buy from Lowe’s and don’t purchase a GE product. DO NOT TRUST THEIR “PROTECTION PLANS” OR WARRANTY

Dishwasher Installation Disaster – I Had to Do It Myself. I purchased a Maytag dishwasher from Home Depot along with professional installation. The installers showed up, took one look at the space, and walked away — citing “missing side panels” as their reason. These were cosmetic trim pieces, not structural or code-related. My home was inspected just weeks before (April 2025) and passed with zero electrical or code issues. The previous dishwasher had been installed and working in the exact same space for years.
After multiple follow-ups and vague excuses, I had to install the dishwasher myself — with no professional training. It’s now working perfectly. There was nothing preventing their team from doing the job except a lack of desire to do it. Home Depot has yet to issue a refund for the service I paid for, nor have they taken accountability for the experience. I wasted time, lost work, and got ghosted by their customer care team after being told a manager would “review” it. That was days ago. I highly advise others to think twice before trusting Home Depot for appliance installation. If it’s not 100% cookie-cutter, they’ll leave it behind and vanish.

We are renovating our rental house and ordered appliances from Home Depot online. We checked the "ready to use" box on the washer and dryer, refrigerator, and stove (which couldn't be done as there isn't an installer for that in the area). They delivered them during the week when my son could be there to let them in. The only thing they asked my son was if we wanted the washer and dryer stacked. My son called me and I told him no, so they didn't. In fact, they didn't install anything we asked them to. They delivered them, asked that question, and left.
Fast forward to this week. I called the customer service number and spoke with Camille. I told her what was going on, to which she responded "you are one week outside the 30 day window for installations". She then proceeded to blame my son for not asking them to install the appliances. I told her he shouldn't have to because we checked the box for "ready to use" appliances. She then went on to say that they didn't do it because we were renovating. I reminded her that she didn't know that until today in this conversation, so they wouldn't have known that until they saw it themselves while delivering AND the room they put the washer and dryer in is NOT being renovated.
She then told me that it's now 1 week outside of the 30 day installation window, that I should have called to get them installed sooner, and that there's nothing she can do for me now. She even went as far to say "if you really needed these installed, you wouldn't wait 5 weeks to call to get it set up", and reminded me again that the install service was free within 30 days of delivery.
I told her it does not matter why I didn't call right away or what is going on at my house, I checked the boxes to have them "ready to use" and they didn't do their job. The fact that it's a free service is worse, because installing them should be automatic then, we shouldn't have to ask! She offered to give me a list of people to hire to install them. We jumped back into the vicious circle of it being their job to do it in the first place, and nowhere in the ordering process stated that I needed to call within 30 days to have them do it. It was implied that they would right away when the boxes were checked. She admitted that they didn't do their job but told me there was nothing she could or would do about it.
They told my boyfriend when he called a couple of days ago that we needed to report any issues with the appliances within 48 hours of delivery - beware of that too as it is also not something they disclosed to us upfront when making the purchases. So far we know the stove and fridge work. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. We will not be wasting anymore time or money at Home Depot.

I generally refrain from negative reviews, but I’ve had one too many predictable bad experiences. Right now, I have a brand new washer in my basement I can’t use because the extender hose set up by HD delivery and install is leaking. They rushed in, set it up incorrectly and rushed out the door. Didn’t bother to make sure it was functional. No one seems to care anymore about whether they do a good job. Out of all the appliances I’ve purchased from HD, I think one of them was a trouble free experience. So now, it’s more phone calls and my time, to try and fix the problem. Home Depot, please contract with a delivery company that actually knows what they are doing.

We scheduled installation of our new dishwasher and when they showed up told us we did not have the correct parts for the install even though this is what we were given in the store. So rescheduled for the following weekend after another trip to Home Depot to buy another part. Waited all day and no one showed up. So we called to find out what happened, After about 40 minutes on the phone we were finally told they could not do our install because it was more involved than the typical installation whatever that means. Our appointment was confirmed by email the night before. They just left us hanging with no notification they would not do the install. Will NEVER use Home Depot again and you should really reconsider if you plan to.

We were not told about the return window and we were only 2 days late but they said they couldn't do that. Speaking to call center it was up to the manager to make that decision and he could have returned it. He could have charged us a restocking fee which would have been fine. Ok so All of this began when our refrigerator died weeks ago. Went to Home Depot to find a replacement. Went to 1 other store because they listed a model online that of course "They" didn't have either. That was the case with a few we called. So figuring, HD will have 1 & take care of us. NOPE. Did order, canceled order because we were told by friends DON'T ORDER Any Samsung Appliances. They do NOT service & they're Just Not Good with Appliances. Thought About My Flip 4 Samsung Phone Week before, under warranty, but, ATT Said, it's Samsung, you won't have a phone 4-3 Weeks if you go thru THEIR Warranty.
So, cancelled entire bundle of Samsung. Was going to order LG. Same Country BTW. S.Korea, Both. So, employee talked me into re-ordering the Samsung Bundle because He said, why spend $2200 more? Samsung is not bad. They deliver fridge, microwave & dishwasher. Had to remove & install but since fridge was "On" installers left, I'm sure thinking No Problems. WRONG.
Today is the 30th. Delivery was April 25th. Fridge hasn't been "COLD" nor can you set the Temps, nor can anyone on phone tell you how or in-store. Their floor Model is one their employees can't set either. They at HD say tech can be there on Monday, go to store, they say. Not ordered for a tech. But they saw it in notes. NO one knows what any are doing. Husband says, "We haven't been ABLE to have this fridge working since it was delivered. Pick It UP, drop another one that WORKS Off & Install." Set for Tomorrow. But, all is delayed & no one knows anything.
At this point, you can't even talk at anyone at C/S to let them know what's going on, nor do I think they care we've paid for 4, 1's never worked, 1 backordered. THEY PURELY SUCK all the way around. DO NOT trust anyone at Home Depot & Good Luck if you have a problem with paying for items like a $2200 fridge that doesn't work & they couldn't care any less if it ever does. You're just supposed to WAIT & WAIT & Well, PAY for it even IF IT NEVER works. WOW, they've gone down & NO way to let anyone know. But again, don't think they care anyway. Corporate or store.

I am very disappointed by Home Depot's delivery company. I ordered a washer and dryer from their store in Oneonta NY two weeks ago and delivery and installation was scheduled for last Tuesday. When the delivery arrived the installer said they could not install the dryer because he was given the wrong power cord, he was given one for a range, not a dryer. This meant installation had to be rescheduled for this week, Tuesday, between 11 and 3. There was no sign of them by 3:15 so I called Home Depot only to be told the delivery was rescheduled until Friday. No one bothered to call or text me about this. Now I have to miss a second day at work in one week because they were too lazy to let me know. My job is already short staffed and now I have to tell my supervisor I will be out another day!
The Home Depot rep who I spoke to said according to the delivery company no one put a note in the system explaining why it was rescheduled, they said they had the right part, enough drivers and enough trucks, I guess they just didn't feel like doing their job. I am going to demand a refund and tell them to come and pick up these appliances if this happens again. There is no reason to cancel a delivery with no notice and make people sit around all day and miss work.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE FORM START TO FINISH! Purchase a dishwasher from HD on Feb. 19 which was supposed to be delivered on March 1st. Scratch that. Date changed to March 5th only a few days but I had to re-arrange travel, work, etc. to satisfy this. The beginning of the nightmare. It was delivered and the fellas bolted fast as they could. I noticed minor damage and called about it. Due to the nature of the dent as well as the small warp in the inside (who knows what was damaged internally or if there could be a leak, etc. - this is a brand new appliance which should be free of damage completely). Reached out to the support line which, in turn they let me know that a replacement was only available April 12th which was shocking to me to start with.
I looked online and there was a model that was the same make (diff model) and about the same price (I would pay the diff if required) to what we purchased so I asked if they could send me that one instead as it was available for March 26 - still a ways off but a bit better. I once again re-arranged all my schedules to accommodate. I get a call on March 22nd letting me know the date is pushed until April 12th (coincidence?). I was at work so no time to process the call. Got home Sunday late, reached out again the next day. Didn't get much aside of the Apr. 12th date (which does not include the fact installers call the day before delivery to schedule which takes about a week or so IF I have the appliance at home) was, at this time now, tentative.
I called the next day the 25th and spoke with a very ignorant agent. Expressed my concern and asked if the installer was re-schedule which I was told no then the line got "disconnected". I called back and FINALLY a saving grace. The lady on the other end was empathetic, kind and very nice. She had tracked down my order (took her about 15 minutes minimum as it was broken into two orders not clearly laid out I am told) which the extra warranty was removed (not replaced with the new order) as well as the install was not re-scheduled. After some back and forth, I finally let her know I wanted a full refund. It took about another 45 minutes of back and forth and on hold, etc. and finally I was given the green for a refund BUT, I had to go down to the Home Depot and physically to it there which I am not sure why as I could have done it while on the phone but regardless that is how it was to be.
After work that day, the 25th, I went down to Home Depot and was able (to my complete surprise) to process my refund no questions asked or not one gave enough of a crap to reach out to attempt to rectify the dissatisfaction. The next day (today the 26th) the 3rd party movers came and took it away leaving foot prints and scuff marks on my high end hard wood floors. If there was a negative star rating I would give it. I have NEVER had this much trouble with an appliance (I have purchased several) in my life. Went to another vendor (about a mile away from the HD) and the EXACT model I had to wait for they had in stock, it was ordered and delivered the next day. Install scheduled for 2 days after. Badaboom!

I purchased a new GE Dishwasher Model GDF535PGR6CC from the Greenwood Village Home Depot end of July, 2024. They would not install it because their delivery people were not electricians (had not been informed earlier). Several weeks after I had someone else do it, my laminate flooring started to pucker. Finding a faulty door seal and water gushing out during each wash, HD referred me to GE. Dishes weren't cleaned, the bottom rack fell off the door, the rollers fell off, the entire thing was a cheap disaster. I ended up having to get an entire new floor and filing a claim with the GE Insurance.
After finding the perfect ceramic floor tile at Home Depot, working with great in-store salespeople, and financing the project, I had to wait three months for installation (Oct-Jan). On the day installation was to start no one showed up. I was informed the installer was behind on another job and the next day would be the start. I received a text that start time would be between 8-10 am. No one showed up.
At 11:30 am I called the store and the sub-installer. I was told the installer was in Colo Spgs and it was snowing so he would not come until the snow stopped. It was sunny in Denver, where I am. At 2:30 pm he showed up. He was extremely difficult to understand. He took pictures of my already demo'd area and sent them to his boss. The boss did not respond for another hour. Then the boss called me and told me Home Depot would not install my floor unless I had asbestos mitigation and water damage mitigation (with only phone photos and the testimony of the installer that my house "smelled musty") done.
The installer then told me for a cash price he would subvert the company and install himself. I would then have no coverage for liability, workman's comp, or warranty for job quality. I told him no. I found a private installer and the job was done perfectly. Also, the HD measurer told me the company would not install tile under my dishwasher because it would then not fit under the counter. The private installer did so with no problem.
I also had two bags of grout and nine bags of mortar that were ordered and not needed. Because of the impossibility of HD installing my floor, I have a large credit on my HD credit card that I cannot use but have no way of recovering except as a store credit. Overall, other than the actual tile and the service of the in-store saleswomen, this project has been a nightmare--after waiting three months!
In addition, installation timing was due to HD's installer's back-up and was to occur three weeks after my own scheduled major surgery. I have had to hire help to move my personal items from the site and clean. If I'd known HD would be such a disaster for installation I could have had my private installation company do this project in December, before my surgery. I will never use HD for much of anything again.
The entire reason I had to replace my flooring was because of the GE dishwasher I purchased from HD in August that had leaked and ruined my previous floor. HD would not help. The GE Insurance adjuster is low-balling and refusing to replace the machine. I have written and called Home Depot but have been met with silence. The saga continues. . .

The delivery guys pointed out a huge scratch on the front door and said that we could either keep the fridge at a 25% discount or order another one and use the damaged one as a loaner. We said we'd take the discount, I took a photo of the invoice with the note on it about getting a 25% discount. A week later I realized no refund happened. I chatted with Home Depot online and they said I'd see it in in 5-7 days. I didn't. I waited, chatted with Home Depot AGAIN, and they said it would be 3 days and that if I didn't see it I might have to go into the store. I never saw it.
We had to go into the store where they finally gave us a refund. That was FOUR WEEKS and FOUR OPPORTUNITIES to pay me back for the favor of keeping damaged goods. I had the worst experience ever when buying a new refrigerator from Home Depot. It was their delivery company that I had issues with but since that is who they hire, this complaint is on them. They need to listen to their customers because without us, they wouldn't be in business. I was told delivery and installation would be 3 days after I bought it which was fine. When the installer came, he lied and told me that my ice box valve was broken and that I would have to call a plumber to fix. I called a plumber right after he left and thankfully the plumber was honest and he told me that the installer lied and that nothing was wrong with the valve. That being said, I still had to pay them for the service call. I called the HD store where I bought the refrigerator and the person who answered looked up my order number and told me that they would re-deliver the next day. Never happened!
I again contacted HD customer service by text as they do not like answering the phone. They told me that the delivery date made by the store employee was in error. I even received an email confirming the delivery. I had to take off from work for this delivery. Okay, they again set up a delivery date, but then showed up a day earlier (Luckily, I was home). When the delivery/installer showed up, he had his measuring tape in hand and told me that the refrigerator would not fit and that I would have to take my door off to get it delivered. What a joke! I know that is not how it is done. This is not my first appliance delivery. I almost lost it but instead told him to deliver my refrigerator. He went back to the truck and called for me to come over. He said look, it is damaged! I walked away and immediately contacted HD customer service. They could not give me a re-delivery date and said I would know in about 48 hours. What!?
If I went to a store and purchased another one, I would know the delivery date right then and there I told CS. No help there! I was without a refrigerator for 9 days at this point so I cancelled this order. I ordered a new refrigerator from another appliance store (family owned) the next day and surprise, surprise, the day after purchase it was delivered and set up without issues. I will never buy another appliance from Home Depot. I am a long time customer but I will shop elsewhere from now on. Then Home Depot only refunds the $50 for failure to pick up the old machine. They claim the installation was “free” so you need to pay someone else to install with no refund. I would have left zero stars for this review if it had been an option. I ordered a washer and dryer from a Home Depot store in October 2024, to be delivered five weeks later, after I closed on a new house. During the week preceding the scheduled delivery, I received several emails and texts, confirming my delivery date and delivery window. On delivery day, I received a call from the crew telling me that they would be at my house in ten minutes. After 45 minutes had passed, I received an email and text that I had a "missed delivery" and would need to reschedule. I called customer service, who contacted the delivery crew. They had been at the wrong house and had returned my washer and dryer to the warehouse, without contacting me. I rescheduled delivery for one week later. I never received any emails or texts confirming the new delivery date.
I called customer service the night before and morning of the delivery date and they confirmed that I had a delivery window scheduled that day. Once again, they were a no show. I contacted customer service again and was told that it was too late to contact the delivery dispatch and I would need to call back on Monday to reschedule delivery again. I called them that Monday morning and was told that I was on the schedule for that afternoon. As it turned out, the appointment was for the plumber to hook up the gas (for a dryer that I hadn't received yet). At that point, I cancelled my order and requested a refund. A month later, I received my Home Depot credit card statement, with a late charge for non payment. I contacted customer service and learned that my order had not been cancelled. There was a note on my account that said the items could not be delivered due to "job site conditions."
Almost a month after I had cancelled my order, my account was finally credited, however, they left the $29 (plus tax) delivery charge on my account for a washer and dryer that had never been delivered. After another called to customer service, I have finally been credited for the entire $1800 charge. The Home Depot credit card required a first payment before delivery, so I still have $150 refund coming to me. Once the account balance is settled, I will be cancelling my Home Depot credit card. Buyer beware! Read the reviews! Do not order appliances from Home Depot!

I called Home Depot support to schedule an installation date. One week later, the same two guys come to install at the past the time frame promised. They are FaceTiming their boss who is a woman. She appears to be lying down in bed in a dark room and spoke no English. Through the smartphone translator they tell me their boss said they are not authorized to install my dishwasher. This has been extremely frustrating. I feel stuck with no support from Home Depot. I’m extremely disappointed with this Home Depot appliance delivery and installation process.

I purchased a new refrigerator, stove, 2 microwaves and dishwasher, so not a small order. After 4 attempts I still do not have all my appliances delivered. It is the saddest delivery experience I have ever had. And the reasons are totally unacceptable. Honestly, I don't think I could make up a worst delivery experience. They say they will let me know the day before what time the delivery will be, morning or afternoon. That happened once out of the 4 attempts. The sad part is I have to take off of work so I can be at the house.
They did let me know the 1st attempt was not going to happen 2 days early, but the last three I have had to burn 3 days of my PTO and will have to use more until the final appliance gets delivered. Not to mention the 10 plus hours of being on the phone trying to figure out what happened. Oh, and because I do not currently live at the house currently, I drive 170 miles round trip each time. That is over 510 miles of driving and again, still don't have the appliances. I asked them to change the delivery address to my current home and I would drive it to my new home myself. They said they can't do that. I would think after 4 failed deliveries they would be a little more flexible.

Try to get a dishwasher delivered was a complete hassle. We took off a day of work, received the item, and it was damaged. Had to go through the entire process again. But this time we missed the delivery window by 5 minutes. We contacted Home Depot who contacted the third party seller who said they couldn't turn around. I get not wanting to be late but waiting 5 more minutes now. Cost another week and a half waiting for our appliance. They had to wait for the appliance to return to the warehouse before. Even rescheduling the delivery, I understand they use third party delivery systems, but it should not take this long to get your appliance which is over five hundred dollars delivered to you. What kind of customer service is this? And then when you contact home depot, you just get past from one representative to the next. After waiting forty five minutes on hold, it's absolutely ridiculous and terrible customer service.

Delivery of the appliances is a joke. First day they call and say that they are 30min away and after 4 hours I get another call that the truck driver went to another city and will reschedule. After another 4-5 hours on the phone, still nothing. I get the overwhelming, and the traffic, and the don't care attitude from the delivery companies, but why is HomeDepot taking my money in advance, if they can not deliver. They need to start getting paid when they deliver. Maybe that will help to put things on track.

We recently purchased a GE Refrigerator/Freezer from Home Depot which came with Free Delivery and Installation. Delivery and Installation was a joke. All that was done was to carry the appliance into the house and plug it in. The refrigerator was brought in as it was shipped by the manufacturer. This means that they did not install handles or shelving which was shoved inside the refrigerator in boxes. They would not install the water line because our shut off valve was not immediately behind the refrigerator.
We called a plumber out and he thought this was crazy because we had a setup with a shutoff valve right below the refrigerator in the basement which he indicated was to code. He advised doing nothing and we should simply hook the waterline into the new refrigerator ourselves. The 4 refrigerator doors were totally covered with a blue protective film which was also tucked into the seams so it could not be removed cleanly. When I asked the delivery man about the protective film, his response was "do you expect me to spend my day peeling this off". My wife and I spent hours over 2 days trying to remove the film but are still left with blue film around the edges which we can't get totally out. If you look at the Home Depot website, they have a picture of delivery men carrying in a refrigerator very similar to ours that that has handles installed and no protective film on the appliance - FALSE ADVERTISING! We will never return to Home Depot again.

Paid to have HD install new kitchen appliances. When they went to install the dishwasher, they found it was severely damaged. I refused the broken appliance and they left. Later that day, our kitchen flooded due to the missing plumbing that was taken with the dishwasher. At first, HD seemed reasonable (send us quotes) and then they passed us off to Sedgwick. . . 6 months later, we have to beg for updates. They asked us to prove they did the install. We sent them 3 different contractors quotes, we’ve hired a lawyer to represent us. Nothing has worked. Half our basement was destroyed due to the flood and so was half our kitchen. We cannot open a claim with our insurance until Sedgwick either accepts or denies— which they refuse to do. If you want work with accountability, stay away from HD installers. This technician must have been running behind because he was not ever going to install my washer. First, he said I ordered a different model no. So it wouldn’t work. Of course it was a different model no, my old washer is 20 years old but the size is the same so it can stack. Then he said you need a new stacker connection. I told him I had already had that checked and my existing g hardware will work. Then he said he couldn’t unscrew the sides because there wasn’t enough room so I got a screwdriver and unscrewed it for him. Then he said there was a screwdriver in the back and he couldn’t pull it out. He pretended to tug and it wouldn’t budge. So I tugged and it slid forward and was easily taken out. He called his manager and said the space was too tight (which it wasn’t) and he would t let me talk to the manager.
Meanwhile I’m holding my dryer that I slid forward and I can’t move. He tells me he has 30 min per call and he has to leave and he leaves! I struggle to push the dryer back on top of the washer myself and I call customer service to talk to a manager. At 2 pm on Friday they said all the managers had left because they are on the east coast. That’s baloney - of course there is a person in charge around at 2 pm when service calls are being made. I also was on several holds for a very long time. I never got it resolved. I said to credit me and I bought one from Beat Buy. They installed it with no problems. I believe that I was intentionally misled by Home Depot. Forgetting the “fine print” I was led to believe that the price quoted was, indeed, for the replacement of the hot water heater that was being sold to me. In fact, even though your “salesperson” knew that I was NOT replacing the water heater with exactly the same model, I was told by your installer that the quoted price ($800 more than the cost of the heater itself) only covered replacing the heater with exactly the same model. In fact, I was charged $500 additional because the pipes, etc. had to be moved.
This was clearly known by HD (including a picture of the old heater) and I was clearly never told that there would be any charge for anything other than any need to correct things that were out of code. They said nothing else! Finally I checked online for the delivery status and it said they were here, so I went outside to find them and direct them to my unit. I asked, "Couldn't you hear me?" and they said nothing. I figured out during their time here that neither of them spoke or understood English except a very few words.
The first thing the lead did when he went downstairs was pull on tape that was holding my dryer exhaust pipe in place, loosening it. Then he came up and couldn't even talk to me, but instead typed a long paragraph into his phone that he had to have his phone translate into English. They refused to do the installation because they said the dryer duct pipe was not secure, and that the water valves downstairs were corroded and supposedly leaking (they had NOT been leaking). I said "I can get that fixed but you still need to take the old washer and dryer away. The lead said "Not possible." At this point I was very angry and called into Home Depot who called and asked to speak to their supervisor.
They finally took the old washer but said they could not take the dryer? He said, "It's connected." I pulled on the hose and where he had loosened the tape, the pipe and hose and everything fell down! But I said "IT'S NOT CONNECTED NOW. TAKE IT." And they finally took it. So I got the duct repaired and I got the water valves replaced and called back in as Home Depot had advised me to do to reschedule the installation. They gave me a date of Wednesday 7/10. On Tuesday, 7/9, I got a call from the delivery company saying they had to cancel the Wednesday installation and that the earliest next day available would be Saturday, 7/13. Obviously, this makes us frustrated with "The Home Depot delivery experience" because we specifically stated that we did not want the item delivered if it was not delivered the day after we ordered it. Therefore, if the item is stolen, we should not have to pay for it! We then called The Home Depot store by our home and spoke with a manager...the manager sent an employee to go to our home and see if the item was still there. Of course, the item was not there, so we don't know if it was stolen or in fact delivered at all.

I also have a 200? gift card from father's day...I'm going to have my daughter cancel it...The washer was a Maytag...mechanically sound but wouldn't clean clothes...not much agitation...I took it back to Home Depot and left it...Even if I lose close to 1000$ I'll never go to home depot...I work at a hotel so I'll be sharing this info and in neighborhood app..and of course family...It's time that the giants fall head first....

I wish I could give less than one star. I bought a new home in Florida that I rent out that required an entire house of appliances. On Memorial Day weekend I went in and ordered a refrigerator, dishwasher, over the stove microwave and wall oven. I paid to have all of these items installed and hauled away except for the wall oven. The lovely sales associate I worked with told me they do not install wall ovens and I needed to get an electrician to install the oven. I had no issue with this and purchased the item anyway. However, the other three items were no problem for Home Depot to install and remove old items.
I had to wait two weeks for the delivery and install. The delivery was done on a Friday. When they showed up the men on the truck told my tenants that "they were not allowed to install the items" and they would need to wait until Tuesday for the install team. They unboxed all the items and left them in the middle of the living room. When doing so they took the oven out of its box and placed it on the floor bending the bottom piece that goes between the oven and the cabinet almost breaking it off despite the fact that they had no business touching this item as they were not supposed to install that one.
My tenants called to complain that the installs were not done, and the items were in their way. When I called Home Depot, I got a very nasty customer service person who disconnected me when I asked for a supervisor. I called back and got a much nicer customer service person who put me on hold for a supervisor and came back several times to let me know she was still working on getting a supervisor. It took 50 minutes.
When the "supervisor" finally got on the phone he at first told me ALL of the issues were MY fault. The microwave cannot be installed because of a tiled backsplash, the dishwasher could not be installed because of "a faulty valve under my sink". I asked him how it was possible for the delivery team to KNOW I had a faulty valve under my sink if they never opened the sink cabinet? How come when I purchased the microwave, they did not say a backsplash might be an issue. Also why did the delivery team tell my tenants he was doing them a "favor" by hooking up the refrigerator waterline.
When I asked him that he went into the notes better. He came back and suddenly, instead of telling me they were sending out "a special plumber as a favor to me", he started telling me what a huge error the delivery team made. They were supposed to install everything. It was not a favor to hook up the fridge and the other items should have been installed also. He said if a valve was the issue they were supposed to send a picture of it but there was no picture or statement of valve issue. The customer service supervisor had just "assumed" that was the issue when he started talking to me. Needless to say, I still had to wait until Tuesday for them to return (no rush, no special circumstance, just put back into the queue). This supervisor GUARANTEED me several times that by the end of the day Tuesday ALL items would be installed and on Wednesday I should call back to get a credit for my inconvenience.
On Tuesday only the dishwasher installer showed up. He was in and out in ten minutes and there was no valve issue, so no real reason why it could not have been installed the previous Friday. No microwave installer showed up despite the fact the supervisor told me someone was coming because the new microwave is an inch and a half shorter than the original one and therefore would not come near the backsplash so that was no longer an issue for them to install.
I called back on Wednesday and the customer service person I spoke with had no idea that someone was supposed to come back to install the microwave. She gave me back a credit for the installs and removal fees that were never done and the big inconvenience credit that the supervisor assured me would be worth calling back for? $100. $100 on a $5,000 order. A whopping 2% for my tenants to take 2 days out of work, live with 3 major appliances blocking up their kitchen for 5 days, having to postpone a weekend home event, still not having an installed and working microwave.
I know I missed a lot in this review. But it boils down to they sold me a promise, they didn't feel like doing that promise, they gave me a guarantee for not fulfilling the promise and then they failed to deliver on the guarantee and they thought tossing a measly 2% credit on an order they most likely made at least a 20% markup on was adequate. If you need appliances do not buy them from Home Depot. I went to Lowe's and bought a washer, dryer and 3 toilets paying for install and removal. The washer and dryer came the next day. Installed without any issues. The toilets were picked up at the store by the professional plumber and installed without issue. Obviously, Lowe's is much better at finding and scheduling the professionals needed to install the products they are selling. I will NEVER BUY ANYTHING AT HOME DEPOT AGAIN!

Just Bought a GE Washer and GE Gas Dryer about a month ago. They brought washer and dryer left it in garage. Said they could not install it. That it would not fit it under cabinets. The cabinets needed to be raised higher to fit them in. They came back and installed a week later. The dryer didn't get hot. Just barely warm. I ask tech about the heat and he said once you run it for a while the heat will increase. I ran it 3 different times on same load and it did not dry the load. Called them back and they said it has to go on the warranty since it was past the 48 hours. They would let GE know and they would send out a tech.
Took them days to get one to come. He took it apart and said it is now overheating and has a code of F20 and it shuts off and won't run. Said he will report to manufacturer and he will have to order a part. My thinking is if you buy a new product and have never been able to use it that you wouldn't have to start adding parts already. Did they send me a used dryer? Apparently Home Depot knows the manufacturers don't have reliable products because they don't stand behind the product. They should not sell them if they can't stand behind them.
It has been almost a month and I have not been able to use the dryer. Do they act slowly and drag out the days until the one year warranty is up and then you get stuck with junk appliance? I am beside myself as to how they can get away with selling you a product they know does not work and making you keep it. Why would you go to the warranty after 48 hours if you were selling a quality product? Some of the people that we spoke to were very hateful and did not resolve the issue. I have purchase many products from them in the past and they use to stand behind the products they sold. Apparently they don't anymore. I will never purchase another item from Home Depot. I am still in shock with the whole situation. I feel like I just got robbed at gun point! Buyers beware!

I have had several appliances delivered over my lifetime. Today was a first in terms of a horrible delivery experience. At first, the guys refused to put my refrigerator in my kitchen, claiming they couldn’t take off the door in order to fit it. I became THAT person and called a manager, whom I put on speaker. The manager instructed the crew to put the refrigerator in the kitchen. Then the guys scraped my range across my new vinyl floor, scooting it carelessly. Had it been my old laminate floor, it would’ve been completely scratched. Fortunately no damage there. Then the guys put my refrigerator door back on. They practically stripped the screws and forgot the door hinge cover as well as the bottom cover. The handle to the door was loose as well.
The worst part of the day was after they left. I had a marble entryway installed four weeks ago. Now there is a 4-5 inch crack thanks to these morons. I had covered it with towels and cardboard on top of the towels, secured by painter's tape. I had told them to be careful of the marble when bringing in the refrigerator. Now my new beautiful floor has been marred. I am beyond disgusted. I filed a claim through the store and will wait to see what happens. I will never order another delivery from Home Depot.

Brand new lawn mower delivered today that looks like a piece of crap. Note provided pictures. This is the product that HD shipped to me today. Rust on the bolts, rust on the frame, and rust in the cup holder. $2500 piece of crap that HD didn't even take the time to look over before delivering it. Probably left this thing outside for months and then sold it to me. Last time I ordered recessed lights they lost some of the order and only refunded me. Didn't even offer to replace. 5 years ago ordered a snow blower and it got lost in shipment. Not sure how you lose a 200lb snow blower. At this point I'm done with HD and the store at Riverdale, NJ. Every time I go to the store the items that say in stock online are never on the shelf and you can't find anyone to help. If you want to know why Amazon is crushing your business, this is why! I will take my business elsewhere going forward.
Update: Just got the call from HD. Initially they called and told me that they would bring a new mower and see about getting me a discount. Now they're saying they will give me 10% off of their crap product they delivered and aren't bringing me a new mower. Absolutely unbelievable at this point. Customer service rep tells me they leave the mowers outside and it's just a result of the elements. These people must live over at Earth 2. So your response is the customer should just take the product you decided to leave outdoors and get exposed to the elements? Really!! I just can't believe it! Worst customer service I've ever seen.
Final update: I've attached more pictures of this supposed "new" lawn mower. This thing looks like a used lawn mower. Rust everywhere, scratches and dents in the paint, dirt all over the inside of the engine cover, and rust on the battery terminals under the seat. This thing was not just sitting outdoors. This was used by someone quite a bit. Now here's where it gets really good. My fiancé and I went to HD last night to ensure they were scheduled to pick this piece of crap up today as no confirmation emails have been received. And guess what! There's the same model mower on display outside in front of the store and it's almost in perfect condition except for a scratch. So I got the POS mower and they sold me a "used" one as new. Just take a look at the pics. Contacting my credit card company this morning as charge is pending and I want it blocked.

I paid for both a new stove and new refrigerator on Sunday March 24, 2024. My current refrigerator is dying and is not working so as a single mom, I need a new refrigerator as soon as possible. It was supposed to be delivered Thursday, March 28, 2024. I called the 800 number to confirm the appointment that morning and was told I am the 8th customer in line that day. After emptying my schedule and waiting all day Thursday for the delivery, I did not get a phone call from anyone until some lady from "Core Logistics", their delivery provider, calls me at 5:40 pm to claim that they can not deliver today. I explain the hardship of being without a refrigerator due to the current one not working right and even offer to pay more money to get delivery here as soon as possible.
This lady at Core Logistics claimed that the earliest would be Saturday morning and I told her I want to be the first customer because I have this emergency of needing a refrigerator. (And to think I was also going to tip each driver as well for being here on time first thing at 7 am on Saturday, today, March 30, 2024 like this lady lied to and promised me...) This lady said that I would get a phone call between 6 am and 7 am on Saturday March 30th and assured me that I would be the first customer this morning. So guess what? No phone call, so I call the 800 # and first spoke with Terry. Terry told me they are still closed at 6:47 am and that there is a problem in that nobody at Home Depot's computer system shows that they are supposed to deliver to me today and that there are no notes in their system past last Thursday the 28th when the original delivery was to take place.
She told me to call back and that the only notes in the system were at Core Logistics but that nobody is answering their phone. So I did - from 2 phones at the same time and spoke with both Nate and Osheeana at the 800 # after 7 am. When Nate put me on hold at some point, he came back and said that Core Logistics - the delivery company is closed today for the holiday. I made it clear that I was lied to by the woman who went out of her way on purpose to tell me that I was their first customer this morning and to expect a phone call between 6 am - 7 am today, Saturday March 30 for the delivery of 2 products that I paid $1,885+ for on Monday March 24. Next I drove down to the Home Depot where I spoke with the Manager named Nick and showed him my long notes from the multiple calls this morning. I ask for a refund.
He says he can not refund me today and showed me that he typed in his computer system notes to Cancel the Order ASAP. Nick told me that I need to talk with Gisell on Monday but he could not tell me what time he gets in. So I went to Lowe's and spoke with Chris in person and showed him the receipt from Home Depot and the long notes from the failed Core Logistics delivery and Home Depot fiasco. Chris was a great comfort, telling me he could get these same items delivered day after tomorrow (Easter) on Monday and that Lowe's is open until 10 pm tonight. On my way out the doors of Lowes, however, I asked 9 total employees including one assistant manager what time they are open until tonight to confirm what Chris told me was 10 pm and NOT one of Lowes employees could answer my question.
One was a new employee, 2 were trainees and all the 6 others scattered including the assistant manager who ran behind a closed door in order to tell me what time that Lowes is open until tonight. So if I were a budding entrepreneur in Medford area of Oregon, I would open a stoves and refrigerator store right away. You can put both Home Depot (thieves who took my $2,000) and Lowes (where nobody can tell you what time the store closes) both out of business. In addition, I paid for 2 - two - five year warranties on the products and did NOT get any literature about who/what/where to call for each warranty or any paperwork for them. When I called, Dave said that I can come pick up the brochures for them. However, due to the very bad treatment, I am going to get a refund. How are they going to refund me $180 for each warranty?
In addition, I still need a refrigerator since ours is broken and have to "re-pay"? for another, new warranty twice again to a different place? Someone ought to stop the theft, intimidation, demoralization, disheartening campaigns on a Federal Level. Thank God I live down the street from the FEDERAL Courthouse. These are strategically designed campaigns that target specific individuals to create intentional, deliberate harm INCLUDING but not limited to stalking, intimidation, harassment, demoralization and other serious crimes - based on a systemic basis and the system needs to be sued and held accountable on not just a Federal but International Level for targeting innocent civilians. This is being done to innocent people and needs to stop.

As a property manager, getting appliances delivered in a timely manner is not only a must, it's also state law. Home Depot's delivery company located out of Lacy, WA. is not a reliable source for any delivery.
2. They do NOT read the comment section to help them with the delivery "Steep driveway entrance, Small parking lot" because if they would have, they would not have sent the largest truck in their fleet TWICE, only to say "Errrr, we can't get the truck in there."
3. When the the delivery company fails/gun-decks the delivery, Calling the HD delivery 1-800 # is an absolute waste of your time- They will tell you anything to speed up the conversation, such as "I've got that rescheduled for a tomorrow delivery" knowing full well that the delivery schedules are set days in advance and your delivery will most likely be delivered next week at the earliest.4. I have personally watched the truck roll up to the delivery address, driver and helper sit and chitchat in the cab for a few minutes, then the truck rolls away, only to get a email saying "Your delivery was missed because no one was home."
I order a ton of appliances from HD, I mean a ton of them. It's a very simple contract- I pay for delivery and install, HD delivers and installs on the date that THEY have chosen. The delivery crew for the Kitsap Peninsula is very unprofessional and their lead manager needs to be replaced. I will be looking into Lowe's.

We have purchased a dishwasher online from Home Depot, which the dishwasher works great. The 1 star is for the terrible delivery and installation contractors. First they made few excuses not to install the dishwasher and said to leave the dishwasher in our APARTMENT, we have to get someone else to install it. One of the excuses was the 6 ft hose in the installation kit is too short to hook up to the drain. The dishwasher is right next to the kitchen sink. My building maintenance staff came to have a look, said the hose is same as the one in use.
I insisted they should try to install it or they would have to take the dishwasher back. I would not have 2 dishwashers in our apartment. The men reluctantly installed it, the dishwasher works. However, a few days later, the kitchen sink started leaking. Someone had pulled the stopper loose from the drain hose. On top of that, we got electric shock from the newly installed dishwasher. Have to get someone to check the grounding of the dishwasher. We were told that delivery contractors refuse to install an appliance has happened to other people in our building. The contractors even got into a fight with our building maintenance staff.

I was contacted today from the executive department at Home Depot. I had also written a Matt Riley, VP, So I suspect the phone call came from that letter. At first they were simply confirming my refund and I was getting upset because it was going to take 3-5 more days. But before I could speak they added they would like to give us a $250 gift card because of the improper delivery issues. Also, an investigation is taking place over the original delivery crew attempting to have us give them money for an extended warranty.
I was told today that no one in the delivery department has any authorization to offer anything. So clearly that was an attempt to extort money. The gift card was emailed immediately with no waiting. I told the gentleman that I appreciated this offer and it gave me hope that something was going to be done so this delivery experience does not happen to anyone else.

On Jan 14th we ordered an LG refrigerator. Delivery was a week later. We were called outside to the delivery vehicle and shown a lot of damage to the appliance. The delivery crew said, “We knew this at the warehouse. Our manager authorized us to offer you a discounted extended warranty today to still take it.” We said, "Wait, you want us to buy an extra warranty to cover what will obviously be a non working refrigerator. No thank you. Please take it back." Felt like we were being scammed. I call Homedepot.com and they attempt through LG to expedite a new one. But it won’t arrive until Jan 24th. I accept the date, but I’m not happy. We have had no refrigerator for 10 days by then.
Jan 24th arrives. Window of 8-10 was changed to 2-6 the day of. But they arrive at 3. My phone rings. It’s the delivery crew. They are refusing to drive the large truck up my long concrete driveway. It’s a hill, but we’ve had moving trucks, UPS and Uhauls up here before. It’s also pouring down rain. They said, “We are leaving. You’re going to need to reschedule. We’re not pushing a dolly there in the rain.” My husband sees them and says, "Just drive up. It’s fine. You can turn around." They refuse and leave. I immediately call Homedepot.com. This time I’m stuck between anger and tears. I’m begging for an expedited delivery of the next day because we have no working refrigerator. They tell me 1/30 and that is all they can do. I have the call escalated.
The next woman tells me the same. She offers me a gift card to go to Home Depot and buy a mini fridge. I told her, "First of all you have over $2000 of my money for the refrigerator I want currently on a truck. I do not want to purchase and drag in my house a mini refrigerator! Also, I recently broke my leg, My husband has been holding the house together while I’ve been down. This offer is not helpful. Just send a smaller truck, or send drivers willing to bring a big truck up my driveway tomorrow."
Nope…nothing. They said they could do nothing about it. They don’t make delivery schedules. So I canceled my order. And to add insult to injury. We must wait 7 days for the refrigerator I want to be returned to LG BEFORE I receive a refund. I’ve written all the email addresses I can find. So far I’ve heard nothing back. But after reading all these 1 star reviews…I don’t expect I will hear anything. But I’m sharing this story about Home Depot appliance delivery with everyone.

I made contact with sales associate, Cara. Cara looked on the website and found it very confusing and she had 2 other sales associates to help. One was John. Both could not figure it out on the website and also found it very confusing. They did advise that they are pretty sure it comes with an ice maker, but if it is delivered and it's not there, just send it back or call the Appliance Hotline. I did not want to do that. I wanted assurance it came with an ice maker. John stated that, "The floor model looks like there's one it, so I'm sure there is." I purchased, however, I also searched the website and could not find where there was an ice maker.
I went back to Home Depot on 01/02/2024, hoping to speak with the manager and hopefully she could contact whoever, to verify the ice maker. The manager who was busy with a customer on the phone and said she would be right with me. Well 20mins later a sales associate saw I was still waiting and offered her assistance. I explained the issue and we went back to Frigidaire on display. She also could not figure out if it came with an ice maker. At that time John (from the previous night) came over and she explained to John the situation. John looked at me and in a very loud condescending tone, "LOOK we went over this last night! Inspect it and if it doesn't have one, call Appliance Hotline or don't accept it!" I told John, I want a guarantee before it's delivered. John's response was beyond disrespectful, "LOOK in Life, there are no Guarantees!"
The female associate was extremely embarrassed and she kept apologizing. This was not her fault. She was trying to be very helpful. She brought to the manager, explained how I was treated by John. At that time the manager said she would try to help. Explained issue again. She couldn't figure out how it was displayed on the website. She also advised, to inspect it before it was brought into my home and if it's not there, reject it. At that time, I requested a refund. I did not get her name, but the refund for order #** processed by **. I went over to Lowe's to see if they had the same model with an ice maker. The sales associate verified they have it, however, it was priced at $1399.00 Lowe's gave me a price match with guarantee of an ice maker. I did contact Home Depot with this experience, the only thing that was done, I noticed on their website, they stated this model has an ice maker and increased the sale price.

Terrible operation. They sell you expensive big ticket items and do not give you decent service after the sale. We bought an expensive Samsung refrigerator with an extended warranty from the Daphne, Alabama store. First the ice maker stopped working then it started leaking water which damaged our floor. Home Depot and Samsung are refusing to fix our floors. They knowingly sell these defective refrigerators because of a contract with Samsung. Meanwhile our dining room floor has been damaged for almost four months.

I was able to get Home Depot out and they were able to fix the door on the dishwasher which was not properly assembled. As for the refrigerator, I ended up having a plumber come out and install a new water valve that was not functioning properly. My only issue is that the problem could have been discovered sooner had the original installers tested the water dispenser. I am completely satisfied with the outcome and appreciate Home Depot sending someone out.
Original Review: Dec. 29, 2023
Yesterday, I had a new refrigerator delivered and installed by Home Depot. First lesson, don’t buy appliances from Home Depot. The installer had to know the water dispenser and ice maker didn’t work, but never bothered to tell us. I called Whirlpool and “passed the buck” and sent me to Home Depot. Of course Home Depot can’t get someone out to look at it for 5 days. Second lesson, don’t buy Whirlpool because obviously they don’t test their products before they ship them. I am disappointed in number one the installer Alexander N for not bringing this to our attention, number two in the lack of urgency on both Whirlpool and Home Depot’s part to solve the problem, and number three in myself for trying to buy a product from a U.S. Company when I could have purchased Samsung who had very positive reviews.

Delivery company showed up late with no apology. Wouldn’t take water hose off of washing machine and wouldn’t install because water was connected to dryer as well (It’s a hose that you screw on). They never really spoke directly to me to explain their reason. Just that they don’t do it. He called supervisor but wouldn’t let me speak with him. Took pictures over top of me removing hose. Then left and said he wasn’t delivering. I asked several times to speak with his supervisor but he refused. I called Home Depot to complain and got nowhere. I was put on hold for 20 minutes waiting for a supervisor and then was hung up on. I called back and did get a supervisor but was told my delivery wouldn’t be until 2 days later, which was unacceptable. I asked for my money back so he refunded my new hoses and the removal fee. It wasn’t until I pushed that I got a full refund. I won’t be doing business with them again.

Bought a stackable washer and dryer from Home Dept and the installation team didn’t know how to connect both of them. One supervisor told them they had wrong stacking kit, and they just put the washer and dryer side by side not even hooked. Later I received a call from another supervisor saying they had right stacking kit. And Bluetooth connectivity cable was extra and it goes in garbage. Next day, 3rd supervisor said we need that cable so washer and dryer can communicate. Then he cancelled our install appointment on his own without our consent when I complained about all the stuff going on. I give all those ill mannered supervisors -ve rating for poorly doing their jobs, taking things in retaliation and making things difficult for customers. Shame on all those supervisors who don’t do their jobs . Home depot you will go down in business with those kind of selfish and non professional people… They don’t deserve to be your employees.

A long one but might be of interest. In Oct 2020 I purchased a Maytag Double over glass top stove from Home Depot. I bought it from them for some very specific reasons.
1: They matched the price of other vendors, had stock, and most importantly had a viable extended warranty program. The availability of the extended warranty was the key reason I bought from Home Depot having experienced their service regarding previous appliance purchases.
2: Previous purchases of major appliances (washer, dryer & inverter microwave) proved these extended warranties were a good investment as they extended the warranty out to 5 years. It was used once for both the washer & dryer and the microwave. The cost of the repairs was significantly higher than the cost of the extended warranty programs.
Earlier this week, the rear right burner stopped turning off completely and would not work in the 1& 2 o'clock positions. A serious failure. In addition, the upper over had slowly been taking longer and longer to heat up to a high temperature. I went through, found my original bill of sale and my warranty registration. I then went to Squaretrade's (owned by Allstate Insurance) and registered my claim (remember, this is a stove with a burner that won't turn off completely). That was 3 days ago. I have had to initiate every call which goes through a US site, set up to service American customers, not Canadian customers. The US site runs you through all kinds of questions to check it's you and not a scammer and then when you say "Home Depot Canada", they redirect you to a "Canadian site" and you go through the entire process again. According to my phone records, I've now done this 13 times.
The initial contact told me 'We were going to go through some troubleshooting steps' that he was confident would solve the problem. The 1st was for me to pull the plug for "one minute" and that would reset the burner (for the novices, this is how you "fix" a big screen TV that won't turn on). I pointed out it was a mechanical rotating burner that you could hear it was not engaging. The next solution was to pull the breakers for the kitchen and that would reset the stove. I pointed out that I live in a part of the country where long power outages are a weekly event and the damn stove has been rest at least 6 times in the last month. I've met gnats with a higher IQ's.
One half hour he called me with an amazing program solution that he was confident I would be thrilled with. I was to search and find a technician to fix my stove, pay for the service and submit the bill to Squaretrade/Allstate for approval. If they approved it, I would be paid somewhere down the line, maybe.... I pointed out to him, that all of those things were what I was paying his company to do and certainly weren't my responsibility and I was not Squaretrade/Allstate’s bank.
Now things get really interesting. I received another call from a representative of Squaretrade/Allstate with another solution. He informed me that they in fact had "NO ONE" in Durham to provide that service (repairing my stove) so they were going to rebate me my money spent on the warranty. The stove repair would then be my problem. I've been to Home Depot twice, promised action and got nothing. I spent today alone over 4 hours on hold for Home Depot Canada only to have them hang up 2 seconds into the conversation when they finally answered. I tried connecting with Atlanta only to find that even there, no one answers phones. I've left a message for their VP of Ops but would be surprised if I heard a peep out of her.
So, in effect, Home Depot sold me a product that they or their partner Squaretrade/Allstate knew there was NO support for which no matter how you slice it is fraud. Additionally, they use the warranty program as a competitive advantage which is also a major issue. Had I known that the warranty program was in fact nonexistent, I would not have bought the appliance from Home Depot. It is my intention to file a formal complaint with the Competition Bureau for deceptive marketing practices.
In addition, any consumer who purchased a similar product will have also been defrauded and rather than this being a single consumer, it may encompass hundreds of Home Depot customers over the last 3-4 years. I will also initiate a small claims lawsuit against Home Depot Bowmanville and Squaretrade/Allstate to recover the cost of my warranty, interest, the loss of my time @ $200.00/hr early next week.

We ordered a Bespoke fridge from Home Depot on August 31st with a delivery date of October 21st due to back orders. On October 20th, it was rescheduled to the 27th, then rescheduled to November 15th. On November 13th, I started calling Home Depot delivery to inquire about the reason for delay. I was on hold, transferred around, and NEVER got a consistent answer. Finally, I was told that it would be delivered on November 18th. One hour before the end of the delivery window, we got a call that the truck broke down, so it would need to be rescheduled AGAIN!!!
On Monday, November 20th, the delivery team showed up with the fridge only to tell me that they don't install the fridge panels or pull our old fridge out. Apparently, we were expected to pull the fridge out and disconnect the water line..WHAT!!! I told them to put the new fridge in the garage, and I would get this handled with Home Depot. I immediately went to the store to speak with the manager. I was told that the delivery team absolutely installs panels and should have removed the fridge.
The next attempt at install was scheduled for November 28th. I ended up calling my kitchen contractor to come out on the 27th to move the old fridge out and disconnect the water line just to make sure that there were no excuses when the delivery team showed up on the 28th. Wait for it...On the 28th, one hour before the end of the delivery window, I get a call. The truck broke down AGAIN!!!! WTH! I was beyond LIVID!!! I told the delivery gal that this needed to be rectified immediately and find someone who could come get this taken care of asap. She told me she would call me back...She NEVER called back. I called the store again to talk to the manager but it was now almost 5pm so he could not really do anything that night.
The next day the manager spoke with the 3rd party delivery team manager, who said the next available day he could get me scheduled was December 7th. ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!! There is absolutely NO CARE for the customer or their time from this company! To shorten the story, the fridge did finally get installed yesterday, the 30th, but not without further complaint. The team that installed the fridge did a half ** job that had to be corrected and finished by my boyfriend.
While the management at the actual Home Depot store tried to do everything in their power to get things done and make things right, I will NEVER shop at or buy ANYTHING from Home Depot again!!! This GIANT corporation should be ashamed of itself for treating customers this way!!! It may be a 3rd party delivery service, but your name is attached, and it is ultimately your responsibility to take good care of your customers!!! Good riddance!!!!

The range was not level, they stripped the screws on the microwave mount, and the microwave vents were not installed. Workers received call while installing telling them they were taking too long at the residence and that they needed to stop wasting time.
One of the employees went and sat in the vehicle after the call leaving the other employee to finish up on his own. The employees themselves were friendly and respectful. My only complaint with them would be that they handed you stuff to sign but never explained to you what you were signing. Did I still get charged for the installation of the things that were not installed…yes but they did haul away a fridge that they were unable to move to a room. Called Home Depot about the damage to the appliances and mentioned the floors, cabinets, and walls, they ignored my comments about the floors, cabinets, and walls, they then forwarded me to GE to speak to them about the appliance who is now sending a technician to speak about options with the dented fridge. I called the Home Depot number and they would send a plumber out the next day. He came and discovered the pump was leaking. I had to call back to customer service and explain this. They informed me that they would have to send a GE person to my home. I told them it was already discovered as a defect in the dishwasher and I needed a new one to replace the defective one. After much arguing they finally agreed.
On October 16 my new one was delivered and they came in to take the defective one out. When they pulled it out there was mold on the back wall and the floor was wet. So they did not install it. I had to call back again and explain this. Now I have to go through their insurance company. The insurance company is not very helpful, they said I had to find someone to come and inspect my floors. I did this and it looks like there is water under the flooring in front of the dishwasher. Now I have to wait 24 -48 hours to hear back from them.
The insurance company also told me that this would have to go through GE but they haven’t contacted me yet. So when they took the dishwasher out they discontinued the water to my sink. I called Home Depot customer service again and asked them to come back and hook it back up and they said they don’t do that!!! So then I called the manager of the store that I bought it from and he told me to hire someone and send him a copy of the receipt and he would credit my card back. And he did! I visited the store, found my Electrolux appliance (they're getting reviewed next) and paid with my Home Depot card. This would be delivered to a home just being built that needed a delayed delivery since electricity had not been hooked up. BIG MISTAKE. Home Depot sent their delivery men prior to electricity but said they would be back to finish the installation (in essence, all that was left was to stack the washer and dryer on top of each other and plug it in). And the clock began ticking. You see, all appliances must be returned within 48 hours for Home Depot to have any responsibility. Three weeks later when the Certificate of Occupancy was issued and electricity turned on, the washer spewed water all over the place. Then began three weeks of pass the buck.
Home Depot didn't want any responsibility because it was past 48 hours -- despite the fact the installation had never been finished. They claimed it had to fall under the manufacturer's warranty. Electrolux scheduled someone to come out and "fix" it, despite the fact we had videos the machine was broken or unsoldered or something UNDERNEATH which caused the problem and we requested a brand new machine. This repairman never showed up. Scheduled technician #2 did show up five days later -- I was SO MAD at the situation, I asked my husband to meet him, and he did.
The repair man found the problem, said it had been broken in transit. He fiddled around underneath for a while but NEVER RAN THE MACHINE, agreeing that we should get a new one and he would tell Electrolux to send another. Gave my husband a case number to call Electrolux about sending a new machine and picking up the old one through the original Home Depot store, had him sign something that he had shown up, and left. My husband called Home Depot that night. Same platitudes of "We will arrange it with Electrolux tomorrow."
But the next day, Home Depot says, "Your husband signed a paper saying the repair was made. The technician says he never told you the machine should be replaced, and the case number indicates the machine was fixed as far as Electrolux is concerned." So basically, we're out $900. We have a non-working machine. Home Depot has washed their hands of the situation (I have unfortunately paid off the machine on my card. Another big mistake. And Electrolux isn't sending us a machine.) How these people live with themselves in this web of lies and buck-passing is beyond me. We will never shop at Home Depot again for anything. Ever. Will that make a difference to their bottom line? No. Just another big box store with pitiful customer service -- but I can't stress this enough -- NEVER EVER BUY AN APPLIANCE FROM THEM.

I recently had a new HVAC System installed. We discovered that my room was covered with lint. The HVAC System had lots of lint in it also. The vent hose was wrapped around a pipe and had a hole in it. This was done by your Installers. I paid for a 5yr warranty. The warranty company said they will not cover this because it was an installation problem. Home Depot said they will not cover because this was over one year. How was I to know the vent was wrapped around a pipe???? If my HVAC had not been replaced I would not have known!!! Too much LINT can cause a house fire!!! So your installation was not safe. My house and life has been compromised.
I have not received any remedy other then a 50.00 gift card. I wasted all day being transferred from Department to department. I often held on the phone for 35 minutes each time. I pleaded with them stating it was new and all of them like unified robots said there was nothing they could do. I asked why 48hrs and like unified robots they quoted the 48hr return policy. Thanks executives at Home Depot for enacting a horrible return policy that keeps money in your pocket and screws good standing people. I will do everything in my power to give business to Amazon, Lowe’s and other companies that values my business and has a REASONABLE return policy. Hoping you can make this right.

Ordered a refrigerator and range to be delivered to our short term rental (Airbnb). Delivery was scheduled two weeks out and made a day when our VERY busy Airbnb was vacant. Delivery service has been to this location plenty of times and with the same size truck. This time though the delivery company tried to scam my wife that they could not deliver the product unless they were paid under the table above and beyond what we already paid to Home Depot. Their reason was there was nowhere to park. Yet they did park less than 100 yards away and could have parked behind our garages. Employee didn’t even try to discuss with my wife. Only informed my wife that they could drop off the appliances today and come back on Tuesday to install them. But they would need to be paid under the table and beyond what we already paid Home Depot. She refused so the delivery was cancelled by delivery company.
This was a complete scam by the third party delivery company. Either pay us extra or we are not delivering. Yet they KNEW the address where they were delivering for 2 weeks. So why even send a larger truck? Also plenty of trucks deliver products to the area. Yes sometimes they block traffic but all the neighbors are aware of this issue and drive to the next street witch is only 100 feet away. Home Depot was no help at all. I now have to cancel my next guest costing me thousands in revenue. Headed to Lowe’s and cancelling my Home Depot account.

This has been the worst experience of my life and I will never buy appliances from Home Depot again. They do not control the distribution of what they sell, but rather contract it out and they do not care. I ordered a refrigerator, range, hood and microwave drawer. The microdrawer was basically pushed off a truck into the driveway (no notification that they were even there and sustained immense damage). I had to pay for a replacement and wait over a month for them to pick up the damaged unit (after I called several times). The refrigerator has a ding in the door that we did not report within the 48 hours allotted time as it was covered with packing tape. We had to pay $500 to replace this door out of pocket. Do not buy appliances from a big box store as this may be your experience. I have since switched to a local company and they do care. Seek them out - they still exist and you do not pay more.

I, too, would give it 0 stars if that were an option. Their 3rd party delivery people were rude, lazy and uncooperative. They wanted to just leave it in my hallway without installing it…Ridiculous in a 700 sq ft condo. I had them take it away. Speaking to the manager over numerous phone calls only resulted in two more failed attempts to have them delivered! There was complete incompetence and lack of communication between HD, the delivery company and the manufacturer. I asked for a refund and made the purchase quickly and easily over the phone from Caplan's. They were pleasant, courteous and arrived on time. The installation was quick and efficient and took only 20 min. I would NEVER buy an appliance from HD again.

So been a “Pro” with HD and spent plentiful cash. During remodeling project it “mostly went well” with 2 exceptions. Frigidaire burner knob didn’t work. HD has an inspection for dings and scratches 48 hours policy, well a week later when installing problem was noticed. So then you’re caught b/w HD and Frigidaire finger pointing…Good luck on that $900 oven that’s doesn’t work and potentially a fire hazard. To make matters worse, kitchen faucet delivery never was received. HD said it was left in mail room…Our property has 8 outdoor mailboxes…No mail room…No service or customer support from HD for this! Unreal, there are competitors to HD who will be getting our future dollars. About 6 hrs at store and on phone calls with the “lack of customer service” is super annoying. Hopefully, Frigidaire will get a technician out to property so we don’t lose rental income.

I ordered a GE Over the Range Microwave at cost of $280. Also paid $140 to Home Depot to install. Two installation guys came for 15 minutes and slapped it up on the brackets of the wall. No measuring. No leveling. No clean-up. After I cleaned up the area, I noticed the microwave wasn't even straight. The right side of the microwave sat 1/2 inch lower than left side. The installation guys eye-balled it. So now called Home Depot back and have another 4 hour window on which someone will appear to see about straightening it up as it should have been done in the first place. Definately not worth $140 installation fee for sure. Take those funds and hire someone who knows what they are doing and will do the job the right way the first time. Not a crappy - slap it up on the wall and walk out job that I got from Home Depot. These two installation guys where literally at my house for 15 minutes and did a piss poor job of installing the microwave.

Some people do not wish to deal with finding an installer for whatever product they buy. Home Depot advertises installation available for many of their products. This is an excellent sales tactic, EXCEPT, in some instances it is misadvertizing. I was interested in a AC mini Split. Home depot carries a brand at the exactly same price as the manufacturer. Neither, charge shipping. So basically, the deal is identical. But you are lured into buying from Home Depot because they offer installation too!
When their installer calls, you then find out he does not install the Home Depot mini split but he will gladly offer his brand for few thousands dollars more. So, in summary, Home Depot refers you to an installer who does not install the Home Depot product but offers to install his product. Furthermore, he claims he does not know why Home Depot did it. There is a level of misrepresentation of service in this case. HOME DEPOT my advice, "Sell your mini split with a disclaimer stating that Home Depot does not offer installation for this product."

We ordered a new dishwasher from Home Depot on July 11th - in order to "save time" I opted for the 'professional' installation. When the unit was delivered a week later, the installer failed to use the supplied mounting brackets, removed the noise/heat insulation blanket, and actually drilled INTO the new unit to try and secure it on the sides. He also completely failed to install the footplate. After he left I tried to use the unit and found that I couldn't close the door because of the screws in the side of the tub, and when I tried to push it closed the whole unit popped free and shifted in the opening under the counter.
I immediately called Home Depot, and spent over FOUR hours on the phone trying to reach a solution. They wanted me to keep a damaged, potentially dangerous, unit, and worse: wanted the installer to come back and "verify" the failed installation. After refusing this ridiculousness I finally got a replacement unit and a new installation team - but again I had to wait a week. After hanging up the phone my wife and I were cleaning and found that the installer had also caused a leak under my sink by overtightening the valve, so back on the phone we go - I was told this wouldn't be an issue and the next install team would handle it. When the next install team arrived, they refused to install the unit, and said I needed a rescue plumber. They took our replacement unit back, and left us without a dishwasher for another week while we waited for a plumber.
After getting the valve repaired, we had to wait another four days for an install team, and when they arrived and installed the unit, they found that one of the legs had broken and stripped the mounting, meaning that the unit couldn't be levelled safely. They completed installation but said that I would get ANOTHER replacement in ANOTHER week. When the crew arrived today with the dishwasher packed, shrink-wrapped, and secured I thought all would be good - only to see giant dents in the dishwasher door once they opened up all the packaging. Four install attempts, damage to my house, a month without a dishwasher for a family of five, and three units later I decided enough was enough. I just got a refund on the entire order. Want to guess when they'll be coming to pick up the broken replacement unit? In a week.
Home Depot installation is a scam - and worse, DANGEROUS - DO NOT USE HOME DEPOT INSTALLATION. To be safe, don't use Home Depot. I am never buying anything there again. The lack of care in customer service, the lack of professionalism in installation, the lack of ANY form of apology during this entire mess has absolutely destroyed any chance of me ever using them again.

On 7/10/23, I received notification that the item was not available and a new delivery date was set, August 3rd. I call their Customer Care and the female rep stated that the date had been changed. I advised this was unacceptable, that if it wasn't available, I wouldn't have ordered it. She placed me on hold and after over 5 min, she came on and stated that the refrigerator could be delivered on 7/17/23. I accepted this. Three hours later, I received another message that it could not be delivered on 7/13/23 and the new delivery date was 8/3/23.
I called again and a male rep stated that it was in fact 8/3/23 and that the previous rep, should not have promised the 7/17/23 date, I expressed my unhappiness and he stated what do you want me to do about it. Do you just want to cancel the order. I stated, No. I want my refrigerator. He stated then it is Aug 3. On Aug 2, I again received notification that the refrigerator would not be delivered until 8/9/23, which thankfully it was. This was over one month on an item they showed as available. Plus all the problems with the customer service and promises. I don't believe I will ever buy another appliance through Home Depot. Multiple techs have been here 6 times since then. Replaced the water valve 3 times, the water hose and the wiring harness over the last 3 months. Home Depot will not return or replace the fridge, saying it’s Frigidaire’s problem. Each time I’ve had to make a service appointment the phone lines are too busy to take the call or I have to wait hours on their live chat. Then the next available appointment is at least two weeks away. Customer service reps or technicians have never been rude or anything, but their system just sucks.
IF the tech deems it unfixable then we can start a replacement request, which will take who knows how long. Home Depot needs to fire their delivery company. The men showed up and saw the tight space that they needed to get the washer/dryer out of to place the new washer/dryer in. I just had an electrician take out the washer/dryer to test the outlet 2-3 days ago so I know it's very do-able. They conversed and seemed dubious about everything. They moved my old broken washer/dryer around to assess the outlet and broke my hardwood floor lip for the washer/dryer area. They then left to get the new washer/dryer and told me the dryer door was broken and they couldn't deliver it as a result. Because they were so dubious - did they break it so they wouldn't have to take responsibility for the broken hardwood floor? I don't understand how this isn't checked when put on the delivery truck in the first place?
This is a big cluster for me since I took a day off of work special for this. I've been without a working washer dryer for some time and the first time I tried to buy one the wooden door needed to be removed off of the area (which I did). It took me a couple of months to hire someone to do this. This whole process has been beyond frustrating. Home Depot fail!

Once she was invoiced they then told her that she was not eligible for the $50 credit so she immediately cancelled the card. Can you spell BAIT AND SWITCH? We took delivery last week of the refrigerator that is intermittently quiet, making a medium noise and making a very loud noise.
Since it is more than 48 hours after delivery, Home Depot said I needed to deal with my extended warranty. I called the useless people at AllState Protection Plans (The reps are in another country, by the way) who underwrite the plan and they said it is a defective unit and I need to deal with Home Depot and that they would not honor their warranty. This is of course after at least an hour of going through their maddening phone trees and submitting copies of an order that they should have on file. No matter how this situation resolves itself DO NOT BUY AN EXTENDED WARRANT THROUGH ALLSTATE! They are useless and appear to have designed their system to inflict the maximum amount of frustration and wasted time on someone wanting to make a claim.
I then called Home Depot once again and the supervisor said that he would contact the warranty company and resolve the situation. He called back and I was now directed to go to the Frigidaire the manufacturer. I had to speak to one of their Bots and give information. It did not understand when I used the phonetic alphabet to give them the serial number. I was then placed on hold with a message that it would take 20 minutes to be connected.
After 26 minutes on hold I was able to finally speak to a LIVE person at Frigidaire!!! Hurray!!! I was finally able to get some service from a representative who said he would put me on hold and schedule a service call. Guess what? While on hold, I WAS DISCONNECTED!!! So, I called back and got back into the Queue and hearing a maddening recorded message trying to get me to purchase a water filter every couple of minutes! After getting through after another 20 minutes on hold, I finally have an appointment with a service tech to look at the refrigerator.

The 2nd fridge they sent was also dented, as was the 3rd. When the fourth fridge arrived, not only was there a major dent on the side, the inside shelf’s were broken and had punctured a hole in the back wall. Because I was sick & tired of dealing with it, I asked them to just switch out the doors. As the delivery guy was cutting off the plastic, he scratched the freezer door & tried to hide it. I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding the recent series of events related to the delivery of a refrigerator that I purchased from Home Depot. I believe it is essential for you to be aware of the unsatisfactory experience I have had with your company, as it has caused significant inconvenience and financial loss.
On Jun 17, 2003, I placed an online order for a refrigerator through the Home Depot website, eagerly anticipating its arrival. Unfortunately, the first delivery attempt turned out to be an utter failure. When the delivery person arrived at my apartment, they glanced inside and abruptly left, stating that they would return shortly. Regrettably, the delivery person never returned, leaving me and my family bewildered and without any explanation. Concerned about this incident, I immediately contacted Home Depot's customer service, seeking assistance and clarification. I was assured by your representative that the subsequent delivery would be handled by a more experienced team to avoid any further issues. However, to my dismay, the second delivery attempt was also a complete failure. The delivery personnel failed to show up at the scheduled time, despite the online system indicating that they had missed us.
Throughout this ordeal, I tried contacting Home Depot's customer service multiple times to seek clarification, express my frustration, and request a resolution to this matter. However, the level of responsiveness and assistance I received from your customer service department was alarmingly lacking. The lack of concern and support further aggravated my disappointment and dissatisfaction with Home Depot's services. The consequences of these delivery failures were not insignificant. As we had cleared out our previous refrigerator in preparation for the new one, we were left without a functioning appliance for an extended period. The perishable food items we had stored spoiled, leading to a significant financial loss and inconvenience for my family.

DO NOT ACCEPT HOME DEPOT'S "INTEREST FREE" CREDIT CARD - IT IS "FRAUD! (sic)" Or... very nearly FRAUD (sic)! BEWARE!!! Home Depot is committing consumer deception (fraud) by offering interest free financing via their Home Depot Credit Card (and CitiBank). I used it to purchase $5000 of appliances 2 years ago. It worked fine for almost 2 years - set my account up for autopay and the balance was steadily paid down automatically every month to $1300 - UNTIL - the final 5 months!
When I received the statement indicating the remaining balance for the last 5 months - Home Depot had suddenly, increased the balance from $1300 to $3000!!! When I called them to report credit card fraud - they said they had added $1700 of interest to my "interest free" account - even though the autopay had paid 5 times the $50 payment due each month ($250 each month) - there were never any late payments or missed payments. When I called them to straighten out the balance due - they finally agreed to credit my account for the $1700 of interest they had added, if I paid the remaining balance due or $1300. Of course I did... and... closed the account for good! I will never shop at Home Depot Again! BEWARE!!!
I should note... that... the very, very fine print at the bottom of their "interest free" credit card offer... may say... something like "no interest is due if you pay the balance at the end of the interest free period..." which may be much shorter than the payment period allowed... even if you pay payments 5 times greater than the credit card requires... If you do accept the HD "interest free" credit card... be sure to confirm that your payments will pay the balance due before the end of the "interest free" term - mine was 2 years.

Tech arrived, pretended the doorway was too small to accommodate a butterfly maneuver into the kitchen. Claimed no haul away on his order. Told him I'd find my copy. Stated he was going to get his dolly. Went to truck, sat, moved back lift up and down, then LEFT!!!!
Called customer service and they said he had noted damaged fridge - but never communicated anything with us! Could have at LEAST installed our microwave!!! Of course I only have 48 hours to report damage - which I'm not sure of because he never told me. Customer service very pleasant, starting an investigation - but we are without a microwave and fridge a week and a half and counting. They'll get back to me in 24 to 48 business hours. Tomorrow is Friday, so likely no remedy until next week if we're lucky. This BLOWS!!!

My wife and I wanted to update our home refrigerator and bought a 25 cubic-foot Whirlpool refrigerator at a Home Depot store on 8/28/22. The Home Depot hauled our home refrigerator and attempted to deliver a broken refrigerator on 9/10/22, and they would have, had my wife not noticed it was badly dented just a couple of seconds before they were pushing it into place. Then the Home Depot delivery person practically forced us to accept receipt of the dented refrigerator saying that it was the best way to go about it, that it would be reported as a loaner, and that it would be replaced very soon. The replacement never occurred, but rather many failed dates of delivery were scheduled by the Home Depot where they did not show up, they did not advise us about it, and my wife and I wasted our time and energy by observing their “4-hour time windows” and by emptying the loaner refrigerator on each occasion.
Due to all this, the Home Depot Customer Care offered us $1,000 in HD gift cards not to cancel, to which we accepted on 12/15/22. They offered a speedy “silk glove service” to deliver the refrigerator. None of that occurred. On the contrary, during a call I made to the Home Depot store manager on 2/8/23, I was informed that I had 2 options to move forward: either to reorder the refrigerator and be reimbursed for the original purchase once the reorder were perfected or to simply cancel the purchase and be reimbursed once the loaner were retrieved.
The Home Depot store manager stated that our old refrigerator had been discarded and we could not get it back, and HECK!!!, either option had done away with the $1,000 HD gift cards we had been offered by the Home Depot Customer Care Department on 12/15/22. We decided to cancel the purchase and shop somewhere else for a refrigerator. SHAME ON YOU ON THIS SCAMMING PRACTICE, HOME DEPOT. WHERE IS YOUR COMPLIANCE TO NC CHAPTER 75 OF THE CONSUMER PROTECTION STATUTES, HOME DEPOT??

Ordered a refrigerator May 14th to be delivered Friday the 19th. Delivery truck shows up unannounced, wouldn't wait 10 minutes for us to get back home. Would not deliver Sat or Sunday, truck shows up again 11 am Monday, but forgot to bring the refrigerator. "Human error" forgot to load it on the truck. Refused to go get it and return. Called customer service, admitted the error but now we have to wait another two days for delivery. UNACCEPTABLE FROM A COMPANY LIKE HOME DEPOT. We have now been without food refrigeration (new house purchase) for 5 days. I have been a life long customer, even grew up next to store number 1 in Atlanta- but I am now an ACE Hardware or Lowes customer.

First purchase with delivery was in July of 2020. I had ordered a washer & dryer. Not only were the drivers over 2 hours late, but they didn't even speak English. The dryer had a large dent in the front & when I called the store I was told to refuse it and call an 800 number. I did that (after a long hold process). It took over a month to get another delivery and again they didn't deliver in the delivery window provided and there were no updates so 2 days of work were lost waiting on the delivery.
December 2022 we ordered a generator online for delivery. It was to deliver January 6. On January 5th I went on to see if there was a time and it stated it had delivered a day prior?? It was not here. I spent many hours on the phone with both Home Depot and the delivery company to no avail. I ended up disputing this on my credit card. I am still waiting on a final review of that dispute even though I provided chats with the delivery company stating it was never delivered along with a police report we had filed. In summary -- NEVER ORDER ANYTHING THAT HAS TO BE DELIVERED FROM HOME DEPOT - YOU WILL REGRET IT LIKE WE DID!!

Bought a washer and dryer from Home Depot on the 4th of May. It is now the 15th and I have not gotten the product. Requested a refund and to cancel the order and was informed I would by their awful resolution department that l would see the refund in 2 business days. We're now on business day 5 and still no refund or product. I just find it amusing that at the end of business day on the 4th of May they didn't hesitate to debit the $2200.00 from me but don't let be the other way around. Horrible customer service from their resolution department who are supposed to be trained to handle this. Home Depot really let us down big time.

RE: Maytag Washing Machine - Extended Warranty Claims. The coverage is thru Asurion, of which the process to file it & to receive a call back from an approved authorized dealer by Whirlpool is DEPLORABLE. There are too many layers to go thru to get the claim scheduled for a 3rd party svc co to come out. My machine is 28 months old.
- Filed claim #2 on 05/10 (Wed), insured my claim is in urgent status but I am still getting the run around as to who that 3rd party svc co will be coming out to re-assess & fix; this will be the 3rd trip.
It is frustrating as can be when I haven't had a washer since 4/27 & I'm stuck in the loop of getting a callback. HOME DEPOT and/or WHIRLPOOL! - you need to FIRE Asurion & find a more efficient insurance process...it is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE that a consumer who PAID for the extended warranty at the time of purchase, and in the time of need - I'm stuck in the loophole of multiple "middle-man"/layers of how a claim is processed/scheduling a svc call. HOME DEPOT AND/OR WHIRLPOOL - pls fix your extended warranty coverage processes! There is nothing worse than being at the mercy of finger pointing on who is responsible for next steps & turnaround time.

Purchased several Husky brand cabinets for our garage from here. We really liked the look and the price was within our budget. We had no problems ordering online and the website was easy to navigate. Things went downhill from there. The items weren’t “in stock” at any of the stores in our area, so our choices were either have them delivered to the store for free or have them shipped to our home for a pretty substantial freight charge. We opted to have the smaller wall cabinets delivered to our home, and the larger standalone cabinet delivered to the store. The closest store to us is almost 40 miles one way. The wall cabinets arrived in a timely fashion with no damage. The standalone cabinet arrived at the store 10 DAYS after we ordered it. We drove there and picked it up, and when we got it home and opened it, two of the panels were dented to the point of being completely unusable.
I immediately called the customer service number and told them about the damage. They said that UPS can pick up the package and we could return it that way, or we could take it back to the store ourselves. We opted for the latter, because we needed to get the matching Husky tool chest anyway, which we were assured was “in stock” at the store. We loaded the 150lb cabinet up and off we went. We got to the store and there were no issues with the return other than the fact that it is now 2 days later and the money has not gone back onto the card. We then moved on to the tool chest. They had ONE “in stock”. An assembled display model that was dented and had a bad wheel.
We were offered this at FULL PRICE and then told they didn’t have another one. We were then passed from person to person and finally wound up at the service desk for OVER AN HOUR while they called from store to store searching for another one. The level of incompetence and lack of communication was astounding. They finally found one at a store that was 60 miles away and we are hoping that after we drive there tomorrow it will actually be “in stock.” There were no apologies and no offers of any kind to make any kinds of amends. We like the look of the Husky line, but going forward we won’t be dealing with this place anymore.

We ordered $5300 worth of appliances from Home Depot. One of them was a KitchenAid dishwasher. I'm now on my third attempt to get it installed. The first delivery date was delayed as they said it was out of stock even though I was told it was in stock the day I ordered it. The first installer who arrived refused to install it as he said the breaker box didn't designate the dishwasher even though we had checked it out and told him which one it was and had turned it off. He said we needed to get an electrician out to do it. The second installer who arrived immediately said that he couldn't install it as the new water line hadn't been hooked up. We had purchased it with the dishwasher and had it right on the counter and he said they don't run it under the floor to the turn off valve in the basement. We said we could do it and it'd take two seconds.
He picked up his bag and said Home Depot doesn't tell their customers what the installers don't do and they get blamed. He said to cancel the installation and get a handyman to install it. I called HD and they said it wasn't their fault but I told them they should tell their customers what the installers DON'T do when customers place their orders so they can get these issues resolved prior to the installers showing up. Never have heard of an installer for a dishwasher who doesn't do electric or plumbing as part of the installation. So now we're scheduled for another installation and who knows what excuse they'll have this next time. A couple years ago we had purchased a new stovetop from HD and had issues with it and swore we'd never go thru HD again. This is the last straw! NEVER AGAIN!!!

I called the store and the store Tells me I have to deal with GE. They passed the buck. It is only a month old. Phoning GE is not easy. Trying to use the internet is always wrong password or they don't like my personal information. Home Depot should be more responsible. I paid to have it delivered and installed. Now I will have to pay to repair or replace it. Also, Bought a GE dishwasher and it doesn't clean dishes. GE used to be dependable.

I bought a refrigerator and gas range from Home Depot. When they came to install my refrigerator, the delivery guy said he can't install it, because the shut off valve was in the cabinets under the sink. He said he couldn't touch it. Meanwhile he dragged my range from against the wall. I went to call Home depot to tell them what's happening, got someone finally and she wanted to talk to the installer but he left. Didn't say goodbye. Said he would be right back. He was gone, not only did he leave but he left my range in the middle of my kitchen. Home depot offered no solution. My question is why is this guy able to install the gas range, but not the refrigerator. He also asked me if it was a gas range, told him yes, he then asked where is the tank. I told him it was natural gas, no tank. Again, he asked me, "Where's the tank..." He had no clue, maybe that's why he left. Might have been a good thing because he could have done some serious damage.
Not only that, but in this state, they need a license to install a gas range. I'm willing to bet he had none. Don't rely on home depot. Calling the store after the fact, the resolution guy told me I should have read the checklist, NOTHING in there about cabinets. Nadda. The resolution guy, had no clue either. Never again. I went over to Lowe's and bought instead. Bye Home Depot.

We purchased a washer/dryer a month ago in Mechanicsburg PA. Delivery day took off from work to receive the delivery. It was canceled at the last minute. Same thing happened for the reschedule. Third try they showed up but the washer was all dented in. So had to reject it. I was told by the manager at Home Depot that it was between us and the manufacturer's warehouse and the Delivery company. Not HD's problem. After a month we were set for delivery again yesterday. Again it was canceled at the last minute.
A week after we purchased the washer we also purchased a microwave with deliver and installation. When Estes delivery came to deliver it the guys took it out of the box and then said they didn't know how to install it!!! Then asked if I wanted them to leave it so I could install it myself or have a contractor do it! Unbelievably horrible service. Home Depot has been good in the past but not anymore. From now on I'm purchasing from a local appliance store. Their prices are almost the same and they actually stand behind what they sell because their name is on the Door. Small business is the way to go. Home Depot needs to clean up their act.

Bought an LG Dishwasher from Home Depot in mid March 2023, It was delivered on 03/31/2023 and the delivery person told me that it was damaged and that I should receive a replacement unit. On April 10th 2023 received the replacement LG Dishwasher. I am remodeling my home and did not installed the unit until April 17th 2023 and this LG Dishwasher was also damaged. I contacted Home Depot and they told me that it was not reported within 48 hours and that there was nothing they could do, to contact LG.
Called LG and they send a repair gentleman that check the unit and he agreed that it was damaged during transport or delivery, he gave me a case number **. LG also claimed that I needed to contact Home Depot so that they could solve the problem, so far I have been on the phone with both LG and Home Depot for over two hours and nothing has been resolved, and I stuck with a damaged dishwasher that neither of them want to take responsibility for... DO NOT BUY ANY APPLIANCE FROM HOME DEPOT!!!
