Purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator on 9/16/17 and now it doesn’t work. I have been on the phone with Lowe’s and Frigidaire for 10 days now. The representative at Lowe’s has been very helpful in trying to get the problem resolved. I have called Frigidaire or have been called by them no less than 12 times. They say the hold up is that they don’t have the serial number. I have given them the number during each phone call.
They say they cannot repair the unit and will have to replace it. They somehow cannot get their act together and call Lowe’s and give them authorization to replace it. The representative I last spoke to was extremely rude. It was all I could do to remain calm. Customer service at Frigidaire needs major improvement. Here I am at Christmas with no refrigerator and working with a company that obviously has no concern for their customers. I have never been so disappointed with a company. Consider another brand when purchasing an appliance.

Purchased a new side by side Frigidaire from Best Buy. A few month after delivery the frames for the glass shelves in the bottom of the fridge cracked. They send a replacement. The clamp that held one of the Chelsea broke. They replaced it as well. Then a crack appeared on the lining wall inside the fridge about 4 to 6 inches long. They asked me to send pictures. I did, they were very nice and eventually they replaced it with the same model. After a few months of using the replacement model the same started to happen. This time all the shelves and all the drawers cracked and the crack appeared again in the very same area on the lining as the previous fridge. This time getting bigger and bigger. This time my pictures did not help. They insisted I contacted a service company they recommend. I did. They came. They took pictures. Did not recommend any repairs and left.
After many attempts by email and by phone I was told that I had refused to allow the repairs and therefore denied the replacement of the fridge. They recommended I called in for service (again) to tell them what was wrong and what needed to be done. I argued that I had already called. They had already attended. Why call them again since they would not budge. I contacted the service company and they confirmed they had sent the report to them. I asked them to send it again giving them the email address of the person looking after me (supposedly). I allowed one week to pass and wrote again asking if they had read the report and what was the next step. No answer. I wrote again and again. Finally an answer that I had refused service and would not replace fridge and asking me to contact a different service company although the First one was their first choice.
I argued again that I had never refused any service since mine was offered or proposed that it was clearly a defective fridge having the same issues in the same spots yet they stonewalled me on the basis that someone wrote in my file that I have refused service. It’s been three months. We are still sitting with half a fridge. No drawers. No shelves. Everything piled up. They have the pictures and continue to give me the runaround. I don’t recommend this model to anyone let alone paying for an extended warranty that so far all it does is aggravate us, stonewall us and frustrate us. We see no end to this nightmare. They did not like what the First company told them. I don’t know but why force me to call another one? They were highly recommended. Are they trying to cover it up? Who knows.

Ice maker - I urge all Frigidaire owners to write a review. To prospective customers, please write that these complaints have caused you to choose another brand, CONSUMERS UNITE to protect ourselves. As many of your other customers have had to do, I am writing a negative review on the Consumeraffairs.com website. My hope is that as more people complain, your sales will diminish and you will be forced to correct this deficiency. As stated previously in my email to you, this unit has had to be repaired under warranty several times by a reputable, local appliance repair firm. You have this documentation within the product's serial number, but refuse to correct the problem. I strongly urge prospective customers to choose a different manufacturer. This email will be included on the Consumer Affairs complaint forum.

Bought a Frigidaire Stainless steel side by side refrigerator from Lowe's in June 2015. Recently saw the inside right plastic wall panel starting to crack. So, contacted Frigidaire. They informed me that the warranty had expired on it. I told them that this is a manufacturing defect, and they need to repair/replace it. They do not agree with me. I feel I need to inform the Public that they should not buy a Frigidaire Refrigerator product, as it is Defective, and should be Recalled. I had a GE Refrigerator for over 10-years, and others before that, and have yet to see a cracked inside wall on any of them. Here's the Frigidaire Model Number = FFHS2611PFCA.

Purchased Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator from Sears in Guatemala City less than two years ago. Sears tech unable to solve icemaker issues. Leaking water and not making ice. Finally called my own tech who lowered the refrigerator temperature which seems to resolve the leaking. "Bad design," he said. Today, after 18 months the whole thing went away as it is no longer working. "Bad motor and/or card," says the tech. So, I have no refrigerator at all going into the Christmas season. Frigidaire should be ashamed.

When it arrived, the refrigerator side wouldn't cool. When packing the Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator for shipment, they taped the door from the freezer that controls the amount of cold air so it couldn't open inside the wall. A technician found it. Problem solved. However the shelves break with almost no weight/pressure on them. Two have broken and the 60-day warranty for free replacement just ran out, so we have to buy replacement shelves at $40+ each. It's like having to buy ink for a printer!!!

We purchased a side by side Model # FFHS2611PF from Lowe's in July of 2017. The so called ice maker makes so much noise the dog can't sleep. It has now quit working at all, and one more call to Frigidaire customer service could cause hostilities... Take my word for it. There are complaints after complaints on here and other consumer boards about this obvious recall candidate. The fine folks at Electrolux need to step up and assume responsibility for this junk. The problem is not going to fix itself.

Ice maker freezes up consistently due to bad design requiring thawing & replacement of motor. It is a KNOWN flaw by Frigidaire yet they do nothing to remedy it, just temporary repairs until next freeze, dragging it out until warranty expires. We finally had enough, have an extended warranty so all repairs are covered, we are just disgusted with having to have repairs done every few months. We told the service agent that we want the fridge replaced, we were told that Frigidaire would have to do that. Frigidaire now claims it is the responsibility of their dealer, we are caught in the middle of a faulty fridge.
It should not be that a company can sell a product that they KNOW is faulty and not be required to make good on it. Anyone could sell anything, have a warranty, drag out repairs that ALWAYS require parts to be ordered to repair a known defect, run down the warranty period and say… “Too bad.” Their customer care is rude, unresponsive, will put you on hold, or just hang up. If you are lucky enough to get through to corporate, although they are more professional than customer care, they will just regurgitate the same garbage as customer care.
Currently corporate is claiming that we only contacted Frigidaire once regarding the faulty fridge. Even though their records indicate when THEIR dealer has been put repeatedly to make the same repair. Stay far away from this product and company unless you are ok with scheduling a bi-monthly repair schedule on a new appliance that should have an implied warranty of at least a year of no worries or repairs! Spend the money and go with an actual reliable brand, this is not one of them!

Frigidaire side by side Frigidaire Gallery. I am writing you about an issue that I have with one of your products. We recently purchase a refrigerator, gas oven, dishwasher and microwave and picked your brand above all the rest as I did some research and Frigidaire came out as the top appliances. Since I purchased these appliances in May I have had issues with the ice maker in the refrigerator as I won’t produce any ice. I have call into the support number and they sent out a third party repair person who didn’t really know what to do but replaced a tube.
The ice maker still doesn’t work and so I called again and they want to send out the same third party repair person. I have been purchasing bags of ice since I bought the refrigerator in May so that my family has ice. When I purchased these items I expected them to last a long time with any issues but realize that this is not the case. I would expect that the support personnel would make every effort to rectify the situation and also go above and beyond my expectations. I would really like to hear your thoughts on this situation.

Love the design and layout of the compartments. Well made and sturdy construction. Have a few issues with the ice cubes sometimes getting stuck in the opening when dispensing the ice. This causes the flap not to close all the way and letting outside air into the freezer. This melts the ice and then closes properly but takes long time and warms up compartment. Also noise level has slowly increased for the compressor/fan. I clean regularly so it's not working harder from debris or blockage. This company has proven to me that they can make good quality refrigerators that last. I have owned just about every brand. We own 2 regular size refrigerators and 3 compact ones for our various outbuildings. Also purchase appliances frequently for our rentals.

The thermostat control does not work, had a replacement and still doesn't work, EVERYTHING freezes on the first shelf of the refrigerator. Can hear this loud, noisy refrigerator even with bedroom door closed. Have called Frigidaire many times, had many techs out, who all say they cannot make the refrigerator more quiet. Frigidaire refers me to page 18 of the owner's manual, which has the nerve to say that a high pitched hum, pulsating sounds, snapping and clicking noises, popping noises, sizzling and hissing noises, gurgling noises and boiling sounds are all NORMAL OPERATING SOUNDS! I'm 63 years old and have never had a loud, very noisy refrigerator before. How can these loud, obnoxious noises be normal? They are not normal. Frigidaire just says they are because they make an inferior product.
Even one of the techs told me they are mass produced and use cheap parts and components, and it is very noisy and if I want a quiet refrigerator, buy an LG or a Kenmore! Another tech told me that if I want a quiet refrigerator, to buy an LG or a Maytag. Also, Frigidaire tells me that at the factory recommended setting, the refrigerator should be 37 degrees F, but it is at 42 degrees at the recommended setting. It doesn't even get to 37 degrees at the maximum coldness setting. When you call Frigidaire, their employees make one excuse after another basically explaining why they cannot help you. They will not replace your refrigerator, even if only 5 months old and under the 1 year warranty. This is a terrible company that makes terrible refrigerators. DO NOT BUY, unless you want a horribly noisy refrigerator and want to get nowhere dealing with the Frigidaire employees on the phone.

We bought the refrigerator from Home Depot in late September of 2017. Within two weeks, the freezer started frosting up, and temperature dropped in the refrigerator. Upon examining the freezer drawer I determined that the left side of the drawer was sagging at the front due to the ABS plastic slide mount having broken at the front support pin on the side of the freezer box. I called for warranty repair at the shop recommended on Frigidaire's 800 number. It took five days to get a repairman here. They agreed with my assessment, said they would order the part to be shipped to my house, and come back when it arrived. After a week of waiting, I called back. They had failed to tell me the part was on factory backorder, due Dec. 8th. A call to Frigidaire customer service, escalated to management, got me nowhere. After checking all their warehouses, they told me I could expect the part around ten days after Dec. 8th.
We will be without our freezer for almost 3 months. The only reason the refrigerator works is because I used duct tape to re-attach the slide mount to where the drawer almost seals. It is frosting up rapidly. We had to buy a chest freezer for use in the meantime. Frigidaire has not offered to replace the unit, and now I find on close examination of their limited warranty that labor is not included! I have a brand new, broken appliance that Frigidaire will not stand behind. Never again will I buy a Frigidaire product.

Everyone that owns a Frigidaire should report it to the BBB, which is what I'm going to do... Their products, plain and it SUCKS... We have been having trouble with the ice maker ever since we purchase this darn thing. Have had service people out, had the ice maker replaced, at a cost of $100.00, had the service people out once again and STILL the same NOISY icemaker. I would anyone that is thinking about purchasing a Frigidaire to think TWICE, you are in for a whole lot of problems and with NO satisfaction with Frigidaire.

2 months after purchasing our Frigidaire Gallery Refrigerator, it stopped cooling. We called Lowe's, where we purchased it, and they said replacement was not an option and arranged for a service call. We waited 2 weeks for the technician to make the service call. After the service call, we waited a month for parts and installation. All was OK for a couple more months and they it stopped cooling again. Two more weeks for the service call and another month for parts and installation. The cooling is still fickle with temperature fluctuations and now the ice maker is malfunctioning and some freezer bins keep falling out of the racks due to being taken out so many times.
We purchased the extended warranty, but Lowe's says Frigidaire is responsible for the first year. Frigidaire says they have no record of the second service call and 4 service calls are needed on the same problem within thirty days to qualify for "lemon law" replacement. When one service call takes 6 weeks to complete, I don't see how it is possible to have 4 service calls in 30 days. At this point I am very frustrated with Lowe's and Frigidaire. Their customer service people have been pleasant but totally unwilling to provide any real help. Good luck if you decide to buy a Frigidaire from Lowe's.

We bought the Gallery model FGHB2866PFGA in 6/2016. In 10/2016 they came out because of water dripping about the dispenser paddle. They said it was from ice pieces in the shoot melting that weren't dispensed. After many times of wiping up water - that came down from behind the paddle they finally came out again in 3/2017 and replaced the dispenser module.
In 5/2017 they were out again because of a noise at the rear of the ice maker when the door was closed. When the door was opened it stopped because the fan stopped. Nothing was done because they didn't hear it. To this day I still wipe up water several times a day that drips out of the dispenser behind the paddle. I was told during one of the service calls to put a folded up paper towel there - I'm sorry but that does not fix the problem. If it wasn't for this persistent problem of water drips this would be a good unit.

My new Frigidaire "Gallery" refrigerator started making a loud clicking noise almost every time the motor turns on. I ignored it for a while, hoping it would go away. It didn't. I called Frigidaire. They sent a repair person who did the repair Frigidaire recommended. The noise continued. The repairman was sent a second time, and he told me during that visit that this noise is a manufacturer's defect and any repair is unlikely, even dangerous because it could cause leaking in the future.
I discussed this with Frigidaire, and they refused to admit it's an unworkable defect. Instead, they sent a repair service two more times to my home (2 more days of missed work for me), only to finally admit after the 4th service call that this indeed is how the refrigerator is, and I have to live with it. When I asked for some compensation, they offered a 3 month free labor and parts in case something else goes wrong in the next three months. Pathetic. When I was a little kid my parents had a big Frigidaire side by side. It lasted more than 20 years. Too bad Frigidaire quality has gone down the drain. I'll never buy one again.

We bought our Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator 18 months ago. We have gotten used to the whining coming from the fridge when it makes ice. We have also gotten used to water forming on the bottom of the ice maker which restricts the rotation of the ice from the back to the front of the tray. When we try to push for ice, there's noise but little to no ice comes out, even though the basket is full of ice. Four weeks ago, the temp of the refrigerator section began fluctuating from 33 degrees to 55 degrees and back down again. We are working with a technician, assigned to us from our home warranty company, who told us that ours is the fourth Frigidaire refrigerator he has worked on in the last 30 days with the same problem. He stated that Frigidaire is aware of the problem (not defrosting properly) but has been slow to respond. Per the tech, we have to wait two weeks while the tech tries to get this resolved with Frigidaire. Totally Unacceptable!

I purchased this Frigidaire Side by Side French Door refrigerator because I already had Frigidaire Gallery appliances (both an electric stove and a microwave oven which are years old and working fine). Upon installation, my new Frigidaire Gallery did not function properly because it was not cooling as per the manufacturer's manual (it took over 24 hours to cool and had to be set at the lowest temperatures possible). After it cooled, we turned the temperature back to the manufacturer defaults (0 degrees for the freezer and 37 degrees for the refrigerator). Then the unit froze any item in the refrigerator side that was next to the wall separating the freezer side (liquids, eggs, vegetables, etc.) and I had to move them out/away from the wall separator for them to thaw (or put some of the items outside of the refrigerator).
The construction quality was so poor that the French Doors were not aligned properly and the technician sent by Brandsmart could not correct the matter. He also said that the refrigerator was cooling properly (that was before we discovered the frozen food issue). And finally said that Frigidaires were made by robots and that they were not perfect (I took THAT issue up with Brandsmart). The refrigerator's seals were defective and improperly installed causing cold air to leak out when the doors were closed. Inside, beside the wall separation insulation issue, there were loose screws holding up panels as well as a loose panel that simply clipped onto the walls and could come off easily if an object was placed too close. The panel was not sealed and you could see water lines behind it.
The ice and water dispenser were poorly designed and easily spilled constantly, PLUS the water temperature was never even cool, but at room temperature. FINALLY, the refrigerator was noisy and had various different sounds that it emitted almost all of the time. Frigidaire devoted two pages to "refrigerator noises", so obviously this was a design/function issue that must have been problematic for them and they addressed it in the User/Owner's Manual in order to prepare the customer and let them know this was normal.
They explained that the noises came from a variety of sources inside the unit (and they described about 12 different working parts or areas where one would hear noises). THIS is the NOISIEST REFRIGERATOR that I have ever HAD or HEARD... MORE SO THAN EVEN MY OLDEST ONES DATING BACK 40+ YEARS!!!! To add insult to injury, I contacted Frigidaire on their website and they sent an email reply that I would be contacted by their representative within 48 hours and over a week later I am still waiting for them to call or email me. I will NEVER buy or recommend Frigidaire's refrigerator line to anyone.

My wife and I bought a refrigerator as well as a dishwasher and within a year started having issues with both. I have been able to do my own repairs on the dishwasher to keep it up and running but with the refrigerator, that was a different issue. It started freezing up in the back making the ice and water dispenser inoperable. We would be able to defrost it using a hair dryer. We also had a few people come out to look at it. The latest was an actual Frigidaire technician. Even he didn't know what was wrong with it without consulting the company.
Long story short, it was a manufacturer’s defect (according to Frigidaire), no insulation in the back. After speaking with Frigidaire, they would only give us a 20% rebate upon buying a new refrigerator. We've decided to go a different route. This has been an ongoing issue since we bought the fridge. The supervisor from Frigidaire was also very curt when speaking with my wife, telling her they didn't even have to give us the 20% rebate. I would recommend going with a different brand. Customer support and product have left a bad taste in our mouths.

I am on my 5th repair and it's still not working properly. On top of that, the repairs that were done left a mess on the seal - greasy silicone on the door in order for it to seal properly so the crisper wouldn't freeze over. It started with condensation dripping from the water dispenser, which took 5 service calls and various parts to replace. In-between the crisper started freezing, so the manufacturer's technician called for silicone to be seal the box in case warm air was getting inside and greasy silicone around the door seal, both making a huge mess and leaving a greasy residue on the seal. Now the fridge temp control is not reading the temp properly, so I don't know if the fridge is cooling down to the correct temperature. This is so unacceptable, and their only response is that they warranty only repairs and will not replace the unit.
I now wish I would have bought a different brand and have no choice but to keep letting people into my house and disrupt my life until the warranty expires a year from now. They did offer me an extension on the warranty, but at this point I don't want to deal with them any longer. I'm at the point of tears and so frustrated that we will be on repair number 6 soon. My food is spoiling from them having to leave my door open for long periods of time while doing repairs and they don't cover food spoilage. I have a four year old Frigidaire French door refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom (model no. FFHB2740PS1). The ice maker began to stop working intermittently. I replaced the ice maker and solenoid valve twice. The problem persisted. The last technician told me that there was a design flaw with this product that Frigidaire was aware of, and had a possible fix. That fix included a kit consisting of a foam insulation pad for the back of the unit plus several replacement parts for the inside of the ice making unit. I agreed to try the repair.
The technician installed this kit and the ice maker worked fine for about a week. Now, the inside of the ice storage is compartment is apparently too warm and the ice is slowly melting and then partially refreezing in the ice bin. I am getting water leaking out of the bottom of the ice maker and then freezing on the back wall of the inside of the refrigerator. In addition, the ice has once again stopped working. Apparently, there is no solution to this problem. The refrigerator has a design flaw that cannot be resolved. It's a shame to spend nearly $2000 on a refrigerator that is essentially junk after just four years. I would stay away from Frigidaire products as well as any refrigerator that has the ice maker in the refrigerator part of the unit. It needs to be in the freezer portion.

They were rude and the technician reported that he had no idea what was wrong with it, but ordered some parts and came back and replaced them. He never told us when or if he was done. He just left.
The fridge was continuing to do the same thing, so we called Suzur back and they sent him again. He called the technician department of Frigidaire while at our home and they decided somehow that it was working fine. He did nothing. He said there was nothing else he could do. The next day the temperature was back up above 45 degrees again. I called Frigidaire and was told after being on hold for 20 minutes that because I had purchased an extended warranty from them over the phone recently, they would have to transfer me to that department, even though this repair was under the initial warranty.
Another 20 minute hold. They told me that even though Suzur Electronics said there was nothing else they could do, I would have to have ANOTHER technician come out to determine if it was fixable under the extended warranty! After 19 yrs my Maytag refrigerator stopped working. It was a great refrigerator & never had a problem. I went to Lowe's as they had a sale and bought a Frigidaire 18 meter replacement. I should of returned it immediately as I could tell it was poorly made, the shelves were unsturdy but I live alone, am a senior & disabled so thought I will just keep it. I had bought three appliances that month not all on the same date & I got confused or I could of had it fixed or returned. Now it is 2 years old and all the plastic bars that hold in your items on the side doors are broken so I have white duct tape on all of them. Plus I have to keep a towel on top shelf as it leaks from the freezer. When Lowe's brought it over they did not even set the control buttons on normal settings, so all my ice cream melted & it caused a mess. The control button to the freezer you cannot change unless I get a blow dryer out as it gets frozen.
Everything about the refrigerator is cheaply made and now I have to buy a new refrigerator, my Maytag lasted 18 years with No problems. I should of bought an extended warranty but I have a home warranty but they won't cover it because it is made so poorly it is not covered under my policy. I have tried to call their customer service line and can't ever get a hold of them. I should of taken care of this last year but I have been ill and I only have energy to do the basics but today as I opened it up with the stinky towel I am fed up. I don't know if Lowe's might help me as I have spent thousands of dollars at their store. I bought this on 7/13 and it was broken at the end of June 2015, but I also bought a washer & dishwasher so I was confused on the dates. I realize it is not the top of the line refrigerator, however 11 months & it starts falling apart. I am on a fixed income and it was all I could afford.
The saleslady at Lowe's said she owned the same model as the one I bought and said it is a great refrigerator and I trusted her. I will take blame for not contacting them sooner but as I mentioned I have a chronic illness & was confused what date I bought it. You can argue it was my fault but seriously a refrigerator only standing up for 11 months is below standards. My Maytag lasted 18 years with no issues, but it wasn't made of plastic products.
I see I am not the only one that is complaining about their poor products so maybe we can get a class action suit against them for selling substandard products! If you could help me in anyway I would be so grateful. If Lowe's & Frigidaire would allow me a credit towards a new refrigerator I would be very happy. I have to replace it as the water keeps leaking and I am nervous about using a blow dryer inside my small freezer to change the settings as I know it is not a safe combination. I would appreciate any assistance you could offer me.

Within one week of purchasing our French Door Frigidaire refrigerator in July 2016, the ice maker was leaking. Since then, we have had a repair company out 10 times and the 11th will be tomorrow. After speaking with representatives from Electrolux for almost a year trying to get this resolved, I emailed the CEO and another bigwig whose territory is North America. I finally was offered a new unit with the stipulation that we pay over $200 for installation and delivery. This was a defect in their unit that was never fixed and we would be taking money out of our pocket to take our chances on another malfunctioning refrigerator.
After reading the other negative reviews and viewing a previous class action lawsuit, it is evident that the ice-maker defect was never fixed. We do not want to replace our defective unit with yet another comparable unit. We have been asking for a full refund, but the company refuses. I am appalled at the customer service we have received over this past year, and I urge anyone thinking of buying a Frigidaire appliance to spend your money on appliances from companies that actually take care of their consumers. What an eye-opening disappointment Electrolux and Frigidaire have been.

The smell coming from it is very very bad, we've had 7 technicians to come out to fix the problem but all has fail. Everyone that comes to our home smell it also. I had noticed a few weeks ago a large icicle was forming in the freezer in the area below the ice maker so decided to call Frigidaire as it is still under warranty. The person I spoke with told me multiple times it sounded like I was leaving the freezer door ajar. Please. I'm 67, I have left a door ajar, and this is not a result of that!
The appointment they gave me was today, July 6, anytime between 8 and 5 so around noon I decided to call Frigidaire to make sure someone was coming. Guess what? Their call to the repair company was rejected but they never bothered to check so no one is coming today! Now I'm supposed to wait until July 12. This is running water, folks! We purchased a Frigidaire Gallery fridge about 2 years ago. From the very beginning the water dispenser never dispensed cold water... It was room temperature. Within 6 months the display no longer displayed all of the characters so it is hard to read the display. The grill at the bottom of the fridge broke off. The ice dispenser requires a lot of patience. The ice maker in the freezer itself doesn't shut off despite the arm lifting to alert the fridge to stop making ice. The fridge has started to make strange noises that weren't there before. For a fridge that cost us almost $2,000 I expected way more stability than this piece of crap has. I'll NEVER buy another Frigidaire product again...

I just wanted to warn you should you be considering purchasing any Frigidaire or Electrolux products - that they have really gone downhill and would advise you NOT to purchase. Some facts below; Purchased: Frigidaire Counter Depth Stainless Steel for ~ $2400. Frank's Electric actually comp’d me on the ice maker a 3rd time as well as other parts). Total spent on repairs so far nearly $1700. Early this month, the ice maker and the water dispenser (interface board) failed again AND the back of my fridge is a block of ice due to poor insulation, a known defect. To make this refrigerator 100% operational, it would cost me another $200 minimum in labor + the ice maker $125, the interface board $$160 and valve $95 or another cash outlay of $603.75.
Tom at Frank's Electric has been good and shamefully comes back for the work. He says I have a lemon and that if he continues to replace these parts over and over again, they will continue to fail. I have not issue with Frank's Appliance. However, when dealing with Frigidaire/Electrolux – they were painfully polite and ABSOLUTELY NOT willing to do anything but give me 30% discount on more replacement parts! So bottom line, DO NOT purchase this brand or for that matter, Electrolux as they are part of the same company. To think I choose not to get the default fridge from my builder and instead went with this “upgrade”. They resolution to the problem, continue to invest in replacement parts with a 30% discount on the parts. Illogical and pathetic.

The last repairman said Every shelf is detaching from the wall liners because there isn't anything substantial for the shelf to attach to. He told me they aren't designed to hold much food. The shelves aren't strong enough. Fortunately this ice maker works great, but there is a cracked plastic shelf, a cracked vegetable drawer, and the bottom shelf on the door has a broken hook that attaches to the door. I bought a really nice French door Frigidaire Professional Series Fridge in stainless steel. The ice maker started acting funny so I called customer service. Inside the fridge there is a sticker: "For product questions, parts or service call..." I explained that the ice maker was putting out massive chunks of ice, shaped like the bin, meaning water was filling the ice bin and then freezing. The customer service rep's response was for me to "use ice more frequently" and to "take the bin out and shake it twice a week." I told him this was a new thing and that something was wrong and I needed it repaired. At the end of the call he actually said: "I'm so glad I was able to answer your question today" and then proceeded to try and sell me water filters. I told him that actually no, he did NOT help at all, but that did not faze him.
Well, the ice maker is made of flimsy plastic and after a couple of years of dumping the ice, it has a huge crack in it (which is why the ice bin filled up with water before freezing), the flipping mechanism is broken and the sensor that tells the bin when to dump has also broken loose. So... The wires came loose from the sensor, touched water and they shorted out the main control panel of the fridge.
The repair job is almost $500.00. And we won't know until the new circuit panel is installed if any other panels got fried. Thank you Frigidaire Customer Service for NOT helping me. And a special thanks to Frigidaire for making an inferior "top of the line" product with cheap plastic parts that wear out. I will never buy Frigidaire again. Luckily my fiance had gotten up to get a drink of water. I heard him yelling and woke in a foggy haze of a wretched smell of burning rubber and heavy smoke. Jason was able to put the fire out, and thank God neither our Children, dogs, or anything else was harmed. I called Customer Service, waited on hold for an hour. After I explained the situation the rep said "Let me get you the name of a service technician in your area". I asked her "Then what? After the technician comes then what?" She explained that the technician needed to confirm the origin and cause of the fire. I then asked, "Do I have to pay for this tech visit?" To which she said, "Yes, since it's out of warranty you have to pay".
This made no sense to me. Given the techs really work for Frigidaire, why would I pay them to come out and then possibly provide a false report in order to "cover" Frigidaire. She asked if there was any other damage, I told her no, she put me on hold. When she came back she basically told me since there was no other damage, it was out of warranty there was nothing they would do. I expressed my frustration that just because we were fortunate enough and Jason woke up, and nothing else was damaged that we should still receive help. I asked to speak to a manager, and she did get a manager. The manager told me the same thing. Out of Warranty, out of luck. I am totally disgusted. We soon discovered that there was a constant puddle on the top shelf. What seems to be happening is that cold air is coming through a vent over the top shelf and this is causing the warmer air in the fridge to condense onto the shelf.
