Just be aware that Frigidaire ice makers appear to be a known problem that was allowed to go on for years. I don't know if they corrected them in current models but this particular design was used for many years and they fail miserably. I'm about 4 years in now and it's basically useless. I've bought new parts, replaced the whole ice-maker etc. It still isn't reliable and often dumps water all over the place; very poor design. Buyer beware. I will not be buying Frigidaire products in the future.

The display panel on our refrigerator went out the following year after our purchase. The retailer we purchased from has been out three times trying to fix the issue, which has been going on for a year and a half. Finally I called the manufacturer today. They stated that because it is past the one-year warranty they will not do anything. It doesn’t matter that I have documentation that this issue happened within the first year and that we have been working with the retailer for a year and a half to try to get it fixed. Their solution was that we pay to get it repaired and after 30 days if there are no further issues they would be so kind to let us purchase an extended warranty. I don’t think It would be appropriate for me to say what I would like to tell them to do with that offer. I will never buy another Frigidaire appliance and I would not recommend Frigidaire for anyone.

My mom bought a Frigidaire Stainless steel fridge from Lowe's on 9/2015. Within 4 months, ice started to form around the fan, you knew when the fan starts making noise as it scrapes against the ice. Make a long story short, this has happened about every 4-5 months since the day we bought it. We even purchased an extended warranty, called customer support, but they wouldn't do anything.

The last repairman that came out told my mom that Frigidaire is aware of the defect, but they'll never admit it. He even specifically informed my mom that this issue started happening when Electrolux merged with Frigidaire. Electrolux started using some sort of a digital part, whereas Frigidaire was using the analog part that prevented the ice from building up. I know many others are and have been experiencing the same issue I’ve been having since my mom bought the fridge. NEVER again will I buy a Frigidaire product, nor would I recommend their products to family & friends.

I have had this fridge for about 2 years. Ice making is terrible, it will make ice when it feels like it. Has not made ice in 3 months, new filter cost me over $60. Have always changed filters in a timely manner. But still makes ice when it feels like it. Now a noise in the back has started. Sounds like a switch or valve opening and closing over and over... Customer service was very unhelpful as normal. I have a gallery dishwasher as well, has been replaced 2 times and the 3rd dishwasher has been repaired once. Overall my experience has been very poor for the money I have spent. Seems like no one wants to take responsibility for the poor quality of the Frigidaire stuff.

I purchased a refrigerator from Home Depot in July 2018. The day of delivery I noticed a popping sound so I called Home Depot immediately. They came out the next day and they said it needed to be leveled. The sound went away until 3 weeks later when it started to pop again and the refrigerator stopped working. I called Home Depot and the referred me to Frigidaire. That turned out to be a waste of my time. They said they would send out a tech from my local area. 4 days later we got the repair and the refrigerator worked again.

Now this week the refrigerator once again stopped working and all the food was spoiled as the last time it stop working and once again the company called in a tech to repair finding that the fan had failed and it was built up with ice. The manufacturer will not allow for a new replacement. They said as long as it is repairable they will continue to repair however many times it breaks. They will NOT replace. I warn... DO NOT purchase any Frigidaire products. This company does not back their product. I have been forced to buy a new refrigerator and junk the old/new one. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with.

I am 67 yrs. old and can honestly say that Frigidaire exhibited the absolute worst customer service I have ever encountered. I own and operate apartment complexes in Pittsburgh. Bought a fridge through my supplier to replace a malfunctioning unit. Right out of the box, the interior light was out. Thought the bulb was missing? Removed the lens/cover to find the LED light bulb faintly flickering. So dim that if the light cover had not been removed you could not notice it. My supplier and I both contacted the Frigidaire service center. They would not send a service tech out to fix it and stated that since there was a dim flicker that as far as they were concerned the light was working. Will not buy another Frigidaire brand, ever.

Bought the entire Gallery series for my kitchen. Dishwasher broke after only 5 years and replaced. New dishwasher leaves dishes wet. Refrigerator ice maker had to be replaced only after 3 months. Refrigerator compressor started making loud knocking noises after 3 years and ice maker not working again. Even repairman tells me Frigidaire are the products he receives the most calls for. I’m not putting out any more money on these horrible appliances. I’m hoping they just completely break so that I can buy new ones from a different brand. Advice to anyone in the market for appliances, stay far away from Frigidaire.

The 4th one that came out called Frigidaire and told him the sound it was making. He wrote down on the work order "knocking noise is refrigerant passing thru evaporator as par frigidaire normal". A loud repetitive noise is normal??? Frigidaire doesn't want to fix the noise. It's now 11 months old and same noise. Warranty gone next month. I purchased the best refrigerator that Lowe's had and this was the Frigidaire Professional model. I figured if I spent the most and get the best but what I got was a bucket of lemons. The ice maker has an issue and it is inherit to with all similar model Frigidaire ice makers of this type. The company obviously knows about this. When you call up they try to play naive but of course they do know about this because if you look on the web you see complaints everywhere. The ice maker freezes in the back. The gear will not turn once it freezes and therefore you have no ice on the top ice maker and you have to defrost it somehow.

While it's frozen it thumps as it tries to turn so you spend the night listening to a machine thumping because obviously your refrigerator's on constantly. They'll send a repair Tech to fix it under warranty but in a month is going to happen again and what's your warranty is up or extended warranty plans over you're screwed and you have a machine that's a piece of junk.

We bought a Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator in June of 2016 to compliment a complete kitchen renovation. Here we are in January of 2019, 2-1/2 years later faced with $1000 in repairs. The refrigerant has leaked out and the refrigerator and it will not longer cool adequately. We called the service department at the dealer where bought it. They looked at the issue and said it could not be fixed. After lengthy non-committal discussions with Frigidaire service, they insisted that we use a different company to inspect the refer. We had to pay for the $95 service call. This company found that the unit could be fixed for $890. This is to repair the freon leak and also includes the parts and labor to replace the control panel and display which had also failed. So we will spend more than $1000 to keep this supposedly "high quality" appliance running.

I am very tempted to just scrap it but we already paid $135 to recharge the freon by first repairman and then another $95 to get the correct diagnosis. Frigidaire tells us "there is nothing they can do". Well, there is something I can do, and that is to be very sure that every place that I can find where I can review Frigidaire gets the facts about this company. They will not stand behind their product. They will duck taking any responsibility and will stick it to you when their crappy product fails.

I try to buy American, but in return I expect the quality and service that that implies. You are much better off buying a Korean product like LG or Samsung or even some Chinese manufactured appliance than buying Frigidaire. At least you know the quality is suspect and you don't feel so bad when you have to chuck it after a few years. Shame on Frigidaire, they are driving business and jobs away from America buy not providing the quality and especially the service that we should expect from and American company. Please pass the word, do not buy anything from Frigidaire.

I purchased a Frigidaire Gallery bottom-freezer refrigerator in 2016. Less than a year later, the door ice-maker stopped working. They put in a back panel to fix problem. Was told this is a common problem with this fridge. Towards end of 2018, ice maker broke down again. Fortunately, I had an extended warranty. The repairman came out twice, replaced front panel, but that did not fix the problem. I called extended warranty for a different repair center, since the first guy appeared to be at a loss. Weeks later, another repairman came, ordered a new bottom panel and installed it some weeks later. However, he found that another part was still needed. When this part arrives, fridge will have to be turned off 48 hours. During that time I will have to clear everything out of fridge & freezer, and we will have to eat out.

I called Frigidaire (Electrolux). Given the defective nature of this ice maker, I wanted a free extended warranty for at least another year. That didn't seem too much to ask, given all the time and money this fridge has already cost me. And with its track record, the ice maker will likely break down again. They would just do 6 months. After that, I will be forced to continue purchasing extended warranties so I don't have to pay expensive repairs on a fridge that has an obviously poorly designed ice maker that will keep breaking down. Frigidaire knew this model had a problem with the ice maker, yet continued to sell it. My advice: Don't be fooled by its good looks. This fridge is a lemon. Also, Frigidaire is no longer the company it once was. They build junk, and then make money from selling extended warranties.

And I should state that my wife and I are retired and it is only the two of us at home. Anyways, the plastic shelves on the door started to crack within 4 months. The plastic above the crispers cracked because the frame was not strong enough to support the crispers. Then the crispers cracked at the handles because of both poor design and flimsy material. My 25 year old refrigerator that this one replaced is used as a second one and is in excellent shape compared to this one. I would hate to think it will outlast this newer one. I bought the entire Gallery line from Frigidaire in December of 2013. After about 2 to 2 1/2 years the icemaker quit working in the refrigerator. I have been trying to get this fixed for the past 2 1/2 years! No one knows how to fix it. It decides to make ice every so often and then stops. Maybe it will make ice for a couple of trays, maybe for a day, maybe for a week, maybe for a month--it's anybody's guess. Currently it is not working again.

When the last repairman came out a week ago he replaced the icemaker unit, which was done once before to correct this problem. This did not work again. I have had repairmen out 7 times to work on this and no one can fix it. I have called Frigidaire, who wiped their hands of the problem. They may as well have said "Tough luck, Sucker. You bought it and now we wash our hands of you." They were not interested in this problem for a unit with their name on it.

This sounds like what a previous person said was wrong with her icemaker, who has the Gallery model with the fridge on top that contains the icemaker and freezer on the bottom of the fridge. When the last repairman came out we noticed a wet spot on the back of the fridge right behind the icemaker where it was wet and starting to rust. I asked him about it, and because he did not know what to do, he said he did not think it was a problem. But, this may be exactly what the problem is as Frigidaire does not insulate the unit properly apparently.

I know Frigidaire knows what is wrong, but refuses to fix it because they have turned so many units out it would cost them some money to fix it. Now I have a rusting back to my fridge and it is being caused by this icemaker. I will never, ever buy another Frigidaire product as Frigidaire does not back what they are selling to customers. I am no longer a Frigidaire customer and hope people do their research before spending their hard earned money with this non-caring company. Like another reviewer, the non-smudge feature is not worth this.

I have had the worst experience of my life with Frigidaire customer service and with an order for water filters. When I had my Frigidaire refrigerator delivered, I went online to register it. During the registration process, there was an offer to order 3 water filters for $88.46 plus tax. I ordered those and was immediately charged $95.23 for the order but, after several days, I had not received any shipping information. I called Frigidaire customer service and they said the order had been lost and that it would take 2-3 business days for them to look for it and that they would call me with an update. I never heard from anyone so I called back and they just continued to say they had not found the order.

After several more calls and their saying they just couldn't find the order, they then one day said they had gone ahead and sent the merchandise. But later, during that same call, they said that they actually never sent the merchandise because they had charged the wrong amount for the original order, and that it wouldn't go through until I paid them an additional $0.58. At this point I was so frustrated that I asked for a refund instead of continuing to have to deal with them, but they refused to refund my money, saying that would not be possible... So I had to pay $0.58 to get them to send the filters. And after all of this, they wouldn't even send the filters express mail. I still don't have the filters. I so wish I had not gotten a Frigidaire appliance and will tell people to never get anything Frigidaire again. What an absolutely horrible company.

I bought a Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator/freezer in April of 2016. Under the 1 year warranty. Within a fourteen-month period, the ice maker had to be replaced twice and the auger replaced once (it would stop producing ice just about every 6 months). We were told by the repair technician that the seals were not very good so the last time he came to replace the ice maker, he double sealed it, which worked for about a year.

I purchased a three-year extended warranty June 24, 2017 for $310.37. Then, in August of this year (2018) the ice maker stopped working again. It is now December 22, 2018 and they had yet to repair the ice maker. After the first call for repair, in August, the vendor they use, A&E send a technician out who looked at the back of there refrigerator and said the problem was sub-par insulation. He said they use a cheap foam which expands and contracts but degrades quickly. He said there is no way to open the back of the refrigerator to replace it either. He put caulking on the back of the refrigerator and left (didn't replace the broker ice maker).

That did not work so I placed another call for service a few weeks later. The A&E technician sent a text and said there would be a $99.00 service fee and we would have to pay for any parts used. He said he was told it was not covered under warranty. We contacted them and told them it was covered and it was Electrolux who sent the dispatch for repair. A&E canceled the visit. We called Electrolux and explained what happened and they said they would send another technician out. He came but informed me first that there would be a $99.00 service fee and I would have to pay for any parts used, I told him no and explained that this happened before and it is covered. He said he would have to leave if I didn't pay the service fee (he didn't even bother to call his office or Electrolux to confirm coverage). He left without repairing the unit as I refused to pay.

I contacted Electrolux Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, and explained what happened again and spoke with a representative, Jorge. Jorge said he would look into it and follow-up with me in a day or two. He insisted this was not their problem but, that it was a problem with their repair vendor, A&E. He said he couldn't issue another work order / dispatch ticket until he was able to look at the technician's report from the visit. He sent me an email to me on Monday stating he had still not heard from the technician and he would follow-up again in a day or two.

I didn't hear from him again until Friday, when he told me he issued another work order / dispatch to A&E for the following Tuesday, December 4. He attached a copy of the dispatch ticket showing the repair was covered under warranty so if the repair technician told me again that I would have to pay a service charge, I could show him the ticket. My fiancé is self employed and cleared his schedule for December 4 to be home the whole day for the technician, missing a day's worth of wages. No one showed-up. We never received a phone call, text or email either. I sent an email to Jorge and to this day, have never received a reply from him.

I called Electrolux again (December 17, 2018) and asked to speak with a supervisor. I spoke with Corporate Supervisor Webster and he assured me he would find out what was happening and get someone out to service the refrigerator/freezer. I asked him for a direct phone number for him so I wouldn't have to spend twenty minutes on the phone trying to reach him. He gave me his direct phone number and extension. He looked into the matter and apologized and said the error was theirs, that the dispatch ticket did not reflect the repair was covered under warranty. He said he would issue another work order / dispatch ticket for A&E to come out on Friday, December 21, 2018. He said he would follow-up with me in one to two days (he never did).

My fiancé (not me) received a voice mail message on his cell from Electrolux on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 (not from Webster though) stating a dispatch has been sent to A&E and we should be hearing from them soon, and gave us the dispatch number. It is now Saturday, December 22, 2018 and we have not heard from A&E or Electrolux again and no repair technician came yesterday.

I called Webster Friday, December 21, 2018 to follow-up with him and it went into his voicemail inbox. I left a message with my call back number. I contacted a local news consumer team who has contacted Electrolux twice in as many weeks and neither they nor I have received any communications from Electrolux. I also did a little research online and found that Electrolux settled a class-action lawsuit for the defective ice makers just months before I purchased the refrigerator/freezer so I know they are well aware of the problem.

I am a disabled person with limited abilities. I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator model # FGHF2366PFAA, SN # 4A6020366PFAA on 7/13/2016 for $1698.00 along with the extended three year warranty which cost an additional $125.00. Problems with the unit started occurring September, 2017. Below is a list indicating the problems and dates technicians have come to service the unit:

Date, Company, Reported Problem, Remedy: 9/18/2017, Quality Repairs, Control display not working, installed new display, not dispensing ice cubes. 12/-/2017, Dial Appliance Service, Refrigerator/Freezer not cooling. 12/20/2017, Quality Repairs, Refrigerator/Freezer not cooling, added Freon. 5/4/2018, RTV Appliance Service, Refrigerator leaking water from bottom, Released some Freon. 6/19/2018, Dial Appliance, Freezer not cooling, Adjusted the compressor. 7/25/2018, Aid Audio & TV Service, Control Display not working, Installed a new display. 11/28/2018, PLA Service Center, Freezer not cooling, Tech states compressor died. He stated it would take a week to get the part.

Lastly, the warranty company denied the new compressor base on the tech saying the refrigerator was infested which is not what he said while in my presence. No one at the warranty company or service company couldn’t tell me what was the nature of the infestation. Asurion stated that I needed to get an exterminator and have them clear the problem. They refused to give me the findings in writing. I knew this was all a ploy, but I followed instructions regardless. Needless to say, the exterminator found no infestation of any kind. I have asked the warranty company to be reimbursed for the exterminating service. There was approximately two other service calls for the same problems. However the techs gave me no paperwork and I fail to write it down.

In 1/2018 Asurion, the warranty company, tried to compensate the situation by sending me a mini refrigerator and a check for $300.00 to replace lost food, when in fact the cost was far more also, not a solution to the problem. I contacted the warranty company and with minimal questions they said they were sending another technician on 12/13/2018. I am being treated unfairly. It was obvious that the compressor was defected and a simple fix was avoided. Please advise.

I bought a Frigidaire refrigerator in February 2018 and started having problems 6 months later. According to the tech person who came out, who has no ties to Frigidaire and is a reputable service, says it is a coolant leak. He recommended requesting a new refrigerator. He's tried to find the leak on Oct 10, Oct 17, Oct 26 and Nov 15 and can't find it. Now Frigidaire wants to solder in different tubes vs giving me a new fridge and will only extend my warranty six months. When I spoke to the warranty department, they said the warranty only covers parts, not a new refrigerator. I've lost time off of work and food in my fridge which they will not pay me for. My past refrigerators have lasted me at least 10 years. I will NEVER buy FRIGIDAIRE again. Beware my friends!!!

Have a two year old refrigerator that I purchased for a new home along with six other products. I wouldn't have another Frigidaire product in my house if they gave it to me! About two months after getting the refrigerator, we started having trouble with the ice maker. I took out an extended warranty (another big mistake). I call Frigidaire and they sent a "so called repairman" out to look at the ice maker. He ended up putting a string and taping it up on the back of the refrigerator to hold up a water line. Had to call him back because ice maker still not making ice.

Called Frigidaire again and they sent out another service repairman. This guy seemed like he knew what he was doing and repaired what he thought the problem was. Still not working. Called Frigidaire again. "We won't send that repair person again, we will send someone else". So repairman #3 comes out and puts in a new ice maker. He left with a comment, "If this don't work, we will call Frigidaire and get a replacement order number and deem this unrepairable". Still not working. Called again and sent the same repairman. "Too late in day to call Frigidaire, will come back next Wednesday, have to be in your house when I call them".

We were out of town on Wednesday and had to have a family member leave work and come to be at our house to let repairman in. He gets here, makes a phone call and advises "he is going to order still another ice maker and will call when it comes in to come back and install it." What a joke. I have called customer service and the response has been everything but polite. We are Sr. citizens and don't need this kind of stress. We really thought we could rely on Frigidaire products, but never again and our friends will know it!

This is my first Frigidaire refrigerator and I was excited because of the cool name. But within two months, I got ice in the motor, and the refrigerator door gasket was coming off the door. The repair guy unfreeze the ice in the motor and declared the door gasket rotten and needed to be replaced. However, within the next one and a half year, I had to call them 7 times because the gasket kept coming off. Different repair guy tried different things -- lubricant on the gasket, extra sealant on the door side, replaced the gasket and finally replacing the whole doors, both the top and bottom one.

I called Frigidaire to ask for a new one but they cited their usual policy and refused. Now almost three years old, the gasket came off again, the Frigidaire warranty finally had ran out and under the Lowe's warranty, they said the problem was my fault and refused to cover the repair because of the history of how many times the gasket had problem!

I was told this is cosmetic and not covered under the warranty. How a defective shelf moulding and broken wheel are cosmetic is beyond me. I bought it (model# LFSS2612TF) in July but it sat in the house unplugged till I got a Certificate of Occupancy Oct 1 and I was staying in the house getting it ready to be a vacation rental the noise is horrible. It actually woke me up at night when sleeping in the first floor master. When I finally got the repairman out to look at it he told there is the copper tubing issue and also no insulation to drown out the sound. Mine is being replaced by Frigidaire due to a faulty seal and I do not want this model again.

I want something that I can sleep at night with this model. There is two other problems that l so it has 2 other known problems. One is popping sound when opening door and other is veggie drawer squeaks. This refrigerator is a piece of junk and they need to stop selling it. I bought mine at Lowe’s and if Frigidaire did not offer to replace it then I would have gone back to Lowe’s as they are great to work with but all retailers need to stop selling this refrigerator until Frigidaire fixes the problem.

Look for a different brand. I purchased this freezer October 15, 2017, from Home Depot., as a storage freezer to supplement our kitchen unit. It failed Labor Day, Sept. 3, 2018. I lost everything in the freezer, including a half beef from a local farm, around $800.00 worth of frozen goods. Things break, I understand, so I really do not want to trash the product too bad, as the defective $28.00 imported cheap thermostat is in almost all brands. The REAL problem was with Frigidaire. 1.5 months to fix it. As they rely on local repair people (who in my area are hard to find and very busy) I understand it can take some time. I called and spoke with customer service at Frigidaire five different times and suggested it would be easier to send a replacement freezer as time clicked away without use of this unit. They would not even consider it as it was “repairable”.

Each time I called, they tried to sell me an extended warranty, without fail. At one point I was “offered” a “discounted” 12-month warranty reduced from $38 dollars to $34 dollars. My response was after being over a month without a freezer (up to this point) would it not seem like good business to at least offer some goodwill? I told them that the cost of the warranty was not the issue, really, for the price of a bottle of wine and a block of cheese, it was about stepping up to the plate and keeping a customer. Nope. No way were they willing to do that! So here is what I learned. Frigidaire is in the extended warranty business first and foremost. They lack even the simplest software technology to follow up with warranty repair claims with their customers to see if a repair is progressing or completed, or with their subcontractors (gosh, imagine calling a customer to find out if their appliance has been fixed or what the status was)!

Apparently, they do have software that lets them know when your warranty expires so they can contact you about extended warranty options though. All customer Reps at the call center read from the same script and are helpless beyond that. People I spoke with always were nice and I made sure I kept it professional (they are just folks with hands tied). Purchase from a company that has a sense of what customer service means. In the end all Frigidaire had to do for me was at the very least follow up and appear like they were interested in solving the issue with the freezer, and not try to keep selling me warranties while it was still broken. The very next day after the repair was completed, arriving in the mail, was an “offer” to purchase a 3-year warranty for $160.00. No thanks.

We called Frigidaire about how the fridge was not cooling and was new. It was under warranty and they said they'd have it repaired. I argued for a new fridge as no one would want to repair a new fridge right away. They would not replace it and forced us to have it repaired.

Called Frigidaire and they said they WOULD NOT cover parts and labor to repair the unit. They try and make ME the bad guy by stating it's outside of warranty so I shouldn't expect it to be repaired even under outstanding circumstances. I've worked with other companies in the past outside of warranty on issues and have been taken care of no problem. They also make me the bad guy for not having purchased an extended warranty. We live in Florida where it is 90 degrees daily. Electrolux told us they ordered the part back on Oct 1st. We were set up for repair on Oct 4th. Every 3 days Electrolux calls us to tell us the "part is on order." It is now Oct 27th. Nearly 4 weeks without a refrigerator or freezer. Just received another call saying the part should now be shipped Oct 29th. I suspect that we will get another call on Oct 29th telling us that the part is ONCE AGAIN back ordered.

The only people we can speak with are call center staff. I have been unable to find a way to speak with anyone outside of the call center. They don't care. More than a month with excuse after excuse after excuse. We were also told on Oct 2nd "if we can't get the part in a timely manner, we will replace the refrigerator." I think a month is no longer "in a timely manner," however, Electrolux will not tell us how long we do have to wait. We paid a lot of money for a warranty that seems to be absolutely worthless. She also told me that since I had only purchased my extended warranty contracts for one year at a time, the two breakdowns would not even be considered. Each incident was on a separate contract. She demonstrated no concern or compassion towards the expense or frustration.

My frustration is that I could not find a single doored fridge that opens on the right side (hinges on the left). Yes, I am 100% sure my door is not reversible, contacted Frigidaire and they advised the same. Seems like this is the new trend with single door fridges. I purchased a fridge that has no ice or water dispenser so no special connections in door, but still I cannot reverse the door. I googled lots of different brands and they all seem to have the same issue, yes this is an issue. There is no choice of which side you want your door to open when purchasing. My whole kitchen is on the right side, my fridge opens to the wall and the door hits the granite countertop Island because it opens the wrong way.

Thumping noise from day 1. Frigidaire sends tech out. Tells me there is no problem and the noise should go away. Offer extended warranty. Why buy one when my problem wasn’t fixed? Unit died within 2 years of new purchase. I never had a refrigerator before that needed any kind of servicing. But this lump of crap made noises from day one and the Frigidaire contracted service guy says it’s not out of the ordinary and will probably go away... Nice... In addition to the noise the door seal had to be glued back in place a number of times. My recommendation... Stay away from Frigidaire.

Loud sound accompanied by popping sounds. I've spent over 40 hours in the past 4 months on the phone, sending emails and meeting with 4 different repairmen and each time Electrolux keeps saying they want another opinion despite the repairmen informing the company the fridge needs a compressor and seal replaced at an expense greater than just exchanging the 5 month old fridge Electrolux had refused.

This is an open concept house. The fridge wakes us up several times during the night. Imagine spending a 1000.00 for the privilege of being woken up nightly for over 5 months and Electrolux refuses to exchange the fridge. Please don't purchase Frigidaire, for a few dollars more and peace of mind run, don't walk to the next brand. Most horrible product experience we've ever experienced and it’s still NOT resolved.

We bought a french door gallery Frigidaire about 2 1/2 yeas ago and had issues from day one with the ice maker. They came out to fix it 5-6 times. We did not have ice for almost 6 months. Then in the back of the fridge part under the pullout drawer, ice started to build up. I broke the ice away, melted and did this a few times.

So what is happening is that the ice maker is leaking in the back and the vent from the freezer is freezing the water and building up in the vent. They came out again, looked and it and said that they would have to charge us because it was out of warranty. They then offered to give us 25% of a new one, then I complained about that and they went up to 50% off. They said that they would send out a letter for this "wonder" deal that they were giving us. Never received the letter. The ice maker has not been working properly from day one and their customer care sucks. I would not recommend these products to anyone. Them knowing that our ice maker didn't work from day one, they should have been on top of this. I am writing this review late because I am upset because I had to defrost the freezer with my shop vac. This last week the Frigidaire gallery model # fghs2631pf4a lit itself on fire in the middle of the night. The fire department put out the fire and we had a repair man come out to see what parts it is that lit the fire. It was the start device and the start capacitor located near the compressor. I called to let Frigidaire know that their fridge had lit on fire. Since there are no recalls currently and my fridge is over a year they said they just could do nothing and didn’t care for the information. So if you buy Frigidaire realize they don’t stand behind their products nor care if they are safe in your home.

My husband bought the extended warranty, something we never do, but a good thing for this junk. The refrigerator was so loud & made a clicking noise (everything that happens I video/audio with my iPad). 1st service call: they have a foam panel UPSed to me for the back of the unit & a new top ice maker. That was installed at the 3 month mark. 2nd service call: noise & water leaked on my new wood floor, a 2nd top ice maker installed & lots of silicone. Due to leaking & the awful noise I have now had 6 service calls, 5 top ice makers, 1 bottom ice maker repair.

The bottom works fine, the top has stopped completely so no ice or water from the door. I have had 2 service calls on the slide in range. Both times because of an awful clicking noise that turned out to be the fan not stopping. Wasn't sure if the house would burn down or not so I would turn off the breaker when we left home if I had used it that day. The microwave has had 2 service calls to replace circuit boards & lights. Also the fan works but it still doesn't draw steam or smoke out. An Uncle owned an appliance store several years ago before his death & Fridgidare was a top brand. I purchased a new 3 door with water and ice in the door refrigerator in February 2018. It was manufactured December 2017. I always thought of "Frigidaire" as an American product. It is not! It is a brand marketed by the European Company Electrolux and made in Mexico. In July the notification light "Order Filter" illuminated. I called Frigidaire directly, ordered the new part, and after waiting nearly three weeks, they sent me the wrong filter. They had the correct model and serial number, so how was this possible. After more research on their website, I found out the correct filter was no longer available. I called Frigidaire again and was told they were over four months back ordered and were no longer accepting orders for the filter. I was told I could purchase it elsewhere. The part available elsewhere is an aftermarket part that (according to online reviews) fits poorly and leaks.

We bought a new Park Model. It's a top of the line camper. On June 26, 2017 used it for three months until closing of our campground. On May 1st 2018, the refrigerator would not cool. The Company we bought the park model from came out mid May to say they could not fix it. The problem was within the refrigerant system and we needed to call FRIGIDAIRE to have a certified tech confirm it was unrepairable. Frigidaire gave me two options. One could not come out for three weeks, I went with Ashworth. They refused to come out if a work order was not generated by Frigidaire. After many calls I did a conference call so both parties could Duke it out. I also extended the warranty by 2 more years.

Frigidaire finally generated a work order. Two services calls later the two tech soldered a area where it was leaking. It was fixed until 4 weeks later. Everything in both the freezer and fridge was warm. The fridge was not working again. New refrigerant lasted 2 days. I still do not have a working refrigerator after 6 separate services calls. Frigidaire will not agree that it's unrepairable. They keep changing out other parts, compressor, evaporator and I'm now waiting for a filter dryer part. Frigidaire claims they only see one service call not 5, from late May up to last week. Their policy is they have to attempt to fix the problem 3 times before they replace the product.

It is August 8th 2018. Waiting for 6th service call to replace a filter dryer, if that doesn't work the Tech will call Frigidaire to see if there is another part or if they will finally say it's unrepairable. At this point they have spent more than it would cost to replace this lemon. I spoke to the company we bought the park model from to share this story, He is taking it to the Rep that oversees the manufacturing of the park models. I also spoke to the owner of Ashworth Appliance. I hope they can help. My voice is getting nowhere, I believe they hope I give up and buy a new refrigerator, I will not.

We purchased Frigidaire model FFHS2622MSU with manufacture date of 4/14 in the summer of 2014. First, ice maker didn’t work. It was under warranty. Repair person said it was a common problem with this model and replaced the ice unit. Next, after about 2-3 years of light use in our second home, cracks began developing all throughout the white fridge interior. Around drawers, on back, at bottom, and around side walls. Multiple cracks are opening up as holes, several appearing as cracks that undoubtedly will be opening up soon.

Called company and also talked to corporate. Of no assistance. Only suggestion was that I invest another $100 in an authorized repair person to evaluate, and they may or may not do anything about it. Obviously this is a nonrepairable problem and is a defective product that should be recalled. Other complaints online about same issue. Already spent $1500 on a fridge that had only been used for 3 years and don’t want to throw good money after bad when company is obviously not interested in standing by a clearly defective product. Afraid to continue using this product to keep food cold for my kids, as with these gaping holes in the insulation walls, can’t ensure it’s properly keeping perishable food at a consistent temperature.

The earliest Frigidaire could send someone out to check the refrigerator was more than a week out - and it meant I had to take time off work (again!) to meet the appliance repair person. The customer service representative said that it wasn't good business sense to plug a refrigerator in before it left the factory; it would take too much time. I had the service tech out and he said just glue it in place. If you do that then there is no way to service the unit later as the screws are behind this tray. Next problem is the ice maker freezes up, again the tech said raise the freezer temp. It is set in the middle setting from the factory and didn't start this until 2 years old. The problem seems to be with the defrost unit in the ice maker not heating enough to let the unit turn loose of the ice cubes. Again NOT MY FAULT!

The latest issue is the water line is freezing in the door where the water dispenser is located. After calling the service tech again, the problem is the lack of proper insulation in the door to protect the water line from freezing. I am tired of spending money on this useless piece of junk from GE. NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE A GE PRODUCT. Now they want to add tubes on the back of the appliance which will make it stick out 3-4" from the wall. Explained to Frigidaire that this would not work because we bought this size because of the space allowance. Now we will not be able to open doors completely but they said that was not their problem. Do not buy from Frigidaire who is owned by Electrolux. We even have an extended warranty that says they will replace the appliance. They have no concern for their customers. Read all the complaints. Ice would collect at the back inside the machine...you couldn't even move the switch. Then cold air would stop circulating to the refrigerator section. Very disappointed with the brand.

I've had cheaper brands in apartments I've rented which lasted longer and they weren't new! They responded to a bad review by asking me to call their warranty center. But when I called they were just unsympathetic and unapologetic. They even cancelled my warranty because now they said I had preexisting conditions...but it's happened repeatedly over 5 years. So I'm stuck with their junk. Their Policy is not to replace the unit until several trials of changing the same part. But their quality is just inferior. We live in northwest Indiana. We purchased this Frigidaire Gallery side-by-side refrigerator/freezer (FGHS1PF4A) around Nov. 15, 2015. Since purchasing it, we have had problems with the refrigerator and freezer going down in temperature and up in temperature several times, sometimes multiple times per week. Most of the time it goes down in temperature which is better than up. :) I know there is a control function telling the compressor to either not turn on or not turn off. We have had technicians out 3 times and tomorrow will be # 4. I have had to call several times to report a problem.

I have received some assistance with ideas over the phone during the first year. When the temperature drops to -14 or -15 in the freezer, the refrigerator side is close to 32 to 34. When the freezer rises in temperature to 24 or higher, the refrigerator measures at 48 or higher. I know this to be true because I place a thermometer inside both units. The temperature on the thermometer is always within 4 degrees of the displayed temp. The operator board on the front has been changed 2 times and the main control board located on the bottom has been changed once. One tech told me that this happens to some Frigidaire and Samsung units quite often. She said turning it off from the front panel for 20 to 30 minutes should solve the problem. If not, I have found I have to actually pull the unit away from the wall to unplug it. Letting it stay unplugged for 10 to 15 seconds has cleared the problem and allowed the unit to function properly.

I am a retired instrument tech from the Navy and a steel mill so the context of the problem I am familiar with. I just have never worked on refrigerator/freezers. I am familiar with temperature control systems though. This is an intermittent problem which can be an issue if we are ever gone for a length of time. I hope this helps some of you if you are having issues with your units. I intend to talk to the store I purchased this from to perhaps get a replacement. The technicians usually say now that unless they see the problem they can not do anything about it. I have a power surge protector plugged into the outlet and have had it since the unit was installed so any surges occurring should be covered. Needless to say like one consumer said, it is a good idea to purchase the extended warranties on refrigerators.

We purchased our Frigidaire refrigerator Model FFTR1821QB6A a little over a year ago. Our third handle just broke off (plastic part at the top). It is just my husband and I and we tried not to use the handle too much so it is not due to overuse. The ice maker makes awful noise frequently. Last, but not least, it began leaking the first month we had it. Found out the fan underneath was not working.

It's too bad that zero stars are not available. Our French door, freezer below Frigidaire has been a nightmare! We've had no less than 10 repair trips on this machine. We've lost food, we've been without an ice maker many, many times, and now we have mold on the wall behind the machine. The mold is the result of the ice maker leaking water in the back of the refrigerator. It has rusted through and caused mold to form on the drywall behind. Frigidaire is paying for the mold remediation that is now required but I'm sure that's in order to avoid a lawsuit. Their most recent "fix" is to apply a two inch thick foam pad to the back of the machine to hide the problem and as a result the refrigerator sticks out past the cabinet in a way that is unacceptable. Frigidaire could care less. We are going to throw the refrigerator away - we don't trust this piece of junk.

I purchased a Standard White Refrigerator in September 2016. The first problem that I had was the handles just broken off from the door. I told the company where I purchased it from and they said they ordered the part but never came out to repair it. Second the rubber around the door came off. Keep in mind I only had the refrigerator under a year. I have an extended warranty and it ends in September, 2018. Now here it comes... drumroll... it completely klonk out. Before it klonk out there were loud noise, I thought because I didn't have the ice maker connected.

I called the company where I purchased it from and the associate set me up with the warranty department. The warranty department had a service technician to come out to see what the problem were. He went in the back panel and seen that the Frigidaire Maker had a Samsung compressor. He asked me were this a brand new refrigerator and I told him yes. He said he never seen a new refrigerator that have another's maker's part installed with different number marking on it. I thought the same thing. When I called the company where I purchased it from and told them what the technician had told me she argued me down that they ordered my refrigerator from their warehouse in another state and it was brand new. Frigidaire are responsible I don't think the company where I purchased it from had no idea that it was a rebuilt refrigerator. Seems like fraud to me.

I purchased an Avanti 11.6 Refrigerator in March of 2016 from PC Richard & Son in NY. When it came a few days later I noticed a crack in the freezer door, I called them and got the runaround. I put in a complaint to the BBB and it took 7 months for any resolution which resulted in a refund to PC Richard. I went back to PC Richard November 2016 and purchased a Frigidaire 11.6 Cubic Ft FFTRT222QW Refrigerator. I took a two year extended insurance with PC Richard and have since had the Frigidaire for a year and a half. The appliance made some noises for two days and then just died-stopped working.

My husband and I work 9-10 hours a day and do not have children who would be opening and closing the fridge all day long. This appliance was no overused or abused. I take very good care of my appliances. I have $150 worth of spoiled food which Frigidaire will not reimburse, nor PC Richard's extended insurance does not cover either. NOT Acceptable. A good reliable appliance should not have any issues under two years old if it's well maintained. So I put in a complaint to the BBB. My two year insurance with PC Richard expired in Feb 2018- which I am angry with them also, they send me all kinds of emails to spend on my PC Richard credit card and notify me of sales, yet they never sent me a renewal notice to renew my insurance. (I am a licensed Insurance Agent, so this is unacceptable to me.)

Frigidaire is made by the Electrolux Company, they first answered me and stated they will offer me 50% off parts - I said I do not want parts, this is basically a new appliance, I want a replacement. Then they offered me 40% off on a Manufacturers rebate to purchase another Frigidaire Refrigerator. I replied that I do not want another Frigidaire - then send me the 40% in a refund check. They refused to do this also. I would never purchase another Frigidaire again. They wrote back to me and stated they will not send me a 40% refund as in the year and a half I had this appliance, there were no service calls or complaints. I said, "Well there weren't any as the appliance was working fine until two weeks ago." And I said to them - they think so low of their own product that they ARE EXPECTING service calls and complaints in under two years of the consumer owning the product?? That is sad and pathetic.

They should think more of building a stronger product and not make them so cheap, I'm not made of money where I'm going to go out and buy a new refrigerator every year or two years!! I am disgusted and disappointed in this whole situation. They do not even stand by their own product, they are expecting service calls and complaints in so little time of the consumer owning the product.

I purchased a Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator on August 26, 2017. It stopped cooling in October 2017. I had to call a serviceman three times and each time, an evaporator kit had to be replaced. Finally in May 2018, I contacted the Frigidaire Company in Charlotte, NC. I received phonecall within a week. Frigidaire corrected the problem. The company made arrangements for me to have my refrigerator replaced which is all I needed in the first place. I had to call a repairman in October 2017, April 2018 and May 2018. It was frustrating to purchase a refrigerator which stopped working/cooling. The Frigidaire Company staff were wonderful. They made sure that I became a happy customer again.

On August 26, 2017, I purchased a Frigidaire Gallery French door refrigerator. It has not worked since I it. On 10/10/17, it stopped cooling and the repair company said they had to replace the compressor and replace the evaporator kit. On 4/6/18, it stopped cooling again and the repairman had to replace the air handler and replace the fan and gasket. On 5/25/18, I had to have the repairman return. He said the evaporator kit had to be replaced again and he said he needed to seal the system.

My refrigerator temperature is 58 degrees, which means my family has to eat out because I purchased a refrigerator that does not keep food cold. Lowe's is where I purchased the refrigerator and they said they are not responsible. So I contacted the Better Business Bureau. I am upset, because it's not right for a consumer to in good faith purchase an appliance and it does not work. I am left with a refrigerator that serves no purpose plus it's still within a year and I am out of the cost of a refrigerator. Now I have to purchase a new refrigerator. I am not being compensated for buying a faulty appliance by Frigidaire.

This side by side fridge has flooded the drain pan multiple times. The tech came out and said it was a design flaw and that it needed a bigger drain pan, but couldn’t get one to fit. The water hose in the front is too close to the floor and too cold so it causes condensation and has caused two bumps on my hardwood floor. The drain pan at the bottom of the pan is too old and does not allow the water to flow down during a defrosting cycle so after flooding my floor again, unclogging it and having it freeze up again, I had to stick a copper wire from the condenser into the drain hole. This product is an engineering failure. DO NOT BUY!!!

Frigidaire do not care, customer service is a joke, they are perfectly happy to have a family of 4, two babies, live without a fridge for at least 3 weeks. Now it has to go to back office for review, which take 2 days at least. Then IF they agree to replacement I have no idea how long that will take as they won't tell me. They will not replace the refrigerator, although it is less than eight months old unless it is irreparable. The repair service said Frigidaire has a "no overnighting" policy when it comes to sending replacement parts. This is unacceptable! Don’t buy - if it goes wrong they prioritize cost over safety! We live in a rented apartment. The landlord bought a Frigidaire fridge with a top freezer for us 3 months ago. Five weeks ago, the freezer door did not appear to work and the fridge was buzzing. We called Frigidaire and they sent an engineer three days later. My husband works from home, so we worked around their schedule.

The engineer replaced a part. One week later we called Frigidaire back, as the freezer was defrosted. They sent another engineer a week later. This engineer said that another part needed replacing. This part took 2 weeks to arrive. At this point, having bought a fridge 3 months previously, it had worked only for 2 months and then been broken for 4 weeks. Our landlord had to buy us a mini fridge as we had nowhere to store fresh food, milk, etc.

Then the first engineer was sent back in. He did not have the correct parts and worked from 5 pm until 9:30 pm soldering new tubing to the back of the fridge. Two days later, I smelled burning in our apartment late at night. It was the fridge. I unplugged it but now am very angry, rather than just inconvenienced. If I hadn’t noticed, I don’t know what would have happened. 6 people live in the apartment block and this could have horrible. Frigidaire has still not replaced the fridge but at this point I’ll pay to remove it and buy a new, safe fridge.

How would you like to have a refrigerator who every serviceman says they have no idea how to fix and no one will replace it? One customer service rep said well the warranty is out in June so are they trying to give me the run around until June? It has gotten louder and the only response the customer service team can come up with is oh well they didn’t do this or call this guy or blah blah blah. I have seen reviews online about Frigidaire and how disappointed customers are with the same product. I wish I would have known before I bought it. I purchased this new type stainless steel french door refrigerator as a birthday gift to myself - much to my chagrin. First complaint was a loud noise, followed by a loose freezer handle. They were fixed by a repairman sent by Gill's in Bristol RI, obviously not happy with my early complaints. So when I noticed a large gash in the 'floor' of the refrigerator, I assumed it was caused by my partner, despite his denials. Soon after - this is within the first year - more cracks, dents, or what he describes as possible 'stress fractures' occurred.

Then I 'caused' a crack in the front one of the drawers while cleaning it, even though I can't figure out how I put it in the sink and picked it up with a crack, one which grows larger and makes it difficult to open the drawer now. A similar crack appeared in the bottom drawer - not being washed. Frigidaire will do nothing, and accepts all this as apparently 'pro forma' problems. Now the freezer handle is loose again (third time we attack it with the trusty allen wrench). And this was my gift, to replace a 10 year old unit by LG... Oh, how I regret that! Frigidaire is cheap (at $2000!), customer service is useless... And now I'm stuck.

I called the Frigidaire/Electrolux parts department to make sure the original order was still coming and I was assured it was and I should disregard the wrong part I had been sent. I waited the full 10 business days as patiently as possible with no further deliveries. The email I was initially sent for tracking shipping never worked at any time I tried it.

Today, the 10th business day, I called again to ask them to track the shipment for me - they said it was delivered on 3/27, only 4 days after I had been told it was shipped. Which means it was indeed the incorrectly delivered part that they thought was delivered and the previous customer service person had told me the wrong information and wasted my time, our money and has kept my family without filtered water for all this time. I was very angry and told them I needed it shipped to me asap at fast speed.

The CSR I was speaking with said he didn't have authorization to expedite shipping so I asked him to put me on with a manager who could. The manager I spoke with apologized but said she did not have the power to change shipping speed because I had initially paid for regular shipping. What was the point of my speaking with a manager? This was their error - they should have fixed the problem by sending me the correct part at faster speed. I am still very angry.

We have a 5 year Frigidaire Gallery Refrigerator (FGHF2369MF6), French Door with Icemaker. In the same transaction, we bought the same Frigidaire Gallery Series Gas Range, Microwave & Dishwasher for our new home. The ice maker was not producing ice beyond half full for some time & kept getting slower. We replaced the water filter (2 months earlier than the Frigidaire manual AND the filer manufacturer recommended), and it somewhat improved ice production. However, when we pulled the refrigerator out to check the water lines, we found a 2" diameter rust spot on the exterior of the back metal panel of the refrigerator, 13" down from the rear right corner.

There was no water line connection at the spot or any kind of opening of any kind. There was also white residue from apparent water condensation that had trickled down the metal during evaporation. Note - the interior of our home is never above 72 degrees year round. It was not hot enough to create condensation. Our first call was to ABT Appliances, where we bought the unit. They confirmed that this was a product defect, and that Frigidaire was well aware of this issue.

They said we needed to file the report with Frigidaire directly, but then Frigidaire would contact a local service to come out & address the issue. We called and eventually referred to a local service company, we were told we needed the authorization number from Frigidaire. A second call to Frigidaire was with a rather frigid associate who only kept repeating that we didn't have the extended warranty & the manual states they do not cover rust. Over & over. They say that this is the authorized fix. I requested the refrigerator be replaced to no avail. After numerous calls in attempting to get the refrigerator replaced I was told the only solution I had was to take the tape or to leave it as is. Having no other option but to have the tape put over the hole I asked them if the warranty repair would be warranty for any time and they said that they would give me an a six month additional warranty to re-tape it if the tape came loose.

After going through two or three different repair companies I find out that the refrigerator has to be emptied for 48 hours and be at room temperature before they will repair it. Electrolux claims no responsibility for my food, or even to supply coolers for me to unload my refrigerator. Being disabled it would be very difficult for me to transfer my food to other houses or wherever I can find to put it for 48 hours and I cannot afford to purchase coolers which I asked them to supply. Of course they refused.

The decline in this company is unbelievable to me and I would never purchase another Frigidaire product and suggest you do not either!!! They do not honor their warranty and take no responsibility for the quality of their products. Repairman stated to me that the reason for the crack was Electrolux has stopped putting enough insulation in the walls of the refrigerators and have even taken the water reservoirs that used to be in the walls to keep water cold out. This piece of equipment is garbage and I regret ever purchasing from Frigidaire. I also contacted Sears where I originally purchased it who does not honor their warranty to replace the item. Frigidaire French - Terrible fridge. 3 years old and the water and ice maker dispenser is the biggest problem. Both units water lines freeze up. Turn the unit off to let thaw out to use again. Ice tray will crack and leak water into the ice bucket causing the ice to cluck together making it too big to dispense. Can't buy just the tray, must buy complete ice maker around $100 if you want to change it on your own. Since the arger can't break the large chunks of ice it will crack the ice bucket. Another $50 just for the bucket. You will have to take the arger and other parts off the old unit and put on the new one.

Did I tell about the extra items you get with your ice. You will find small pieces of plastic and Styrofoam in you ice. Don't have a clue where that's coming from, but you will enjoy the extras. Frigidaire is aware of all of these problems and will do nothing to help. If you think that I'm the only one with this problem, the spend a moment and search the web. You will find a lot of people having the same issues. Sorry that I bought this $2000 piece of junk. Never again.

We had no way of knowing. So we ate it. We both got Salmonella!! We almost died!! It is 2 years old!! I have Lupus. So I could have died from the Salmonella or complications! Plus we had and HAD being the point.. Boston Terrier that was on insulin. She died from complications. We now suspect the insulin got hot and went bad, since she had had no issues with her insulin in 4 YEARS until we bought this fridge 2yrs. ago! There is NO way to know it is doing this until it fails COMPLETELY OR CATCH IT!! This serious!! Frigidaire could care less!!! Please... this really is LIFE OR DEATH!!!

In 2013 I renovated my kitchen and bought all new Frigidaire appliances. The fridge was a French cabinet style with a bottom freezer and internal ice maker. First the ice maker didn't work correctly. Sometimes it worked and other times it didn't. We had a power outage (the house and appliances had surge protectors) for 10 seconds and the fridge never started up again. We contacted a repair person and 2 visits later (and a $900 bill) the compressor and motherboard were replaced. The repair person couldn't explain why this happened. We lost power again 9 months later and all of this happened again.

Instead of paying to have it fixed a second time, we decided to get rid of the fridge and bought a new Whirlpool refrigerator. In addition to the expense of the repair bill, $400+ to replace food 2 times, and the purchase of a new fridge (remember, the old one was only 4 years old!!!), we were out a lot of money. I contacted Frigidaire customer service and never got any satisfaction of any kind. All emails were from letters that they send to everyone. My advice to anyone considering buying Frigidaire appliances is DON'T DO IT. They don't make a good product and don't stand behind them. I'll never buy another Frigidaire product.

I will never purchase a product from Frigidaire or sister co. ever again. Products are junk! I purchased a brand new refrigerator and 2 months in the freezer stops working. About a month after being repaired it stopped working again. Also noticed it has Samsung compressor. I called Frigidaire to confirm the part was installed when manufactured and they can't tell me that. I was told they only know a compressor was installed. Really? They have no record of original parts installed when manufactured. How as a consumer am I able to verify I did in fact receive a brand new fridge? Frigidaire told me there is no way to verify. Worst co. I have ever dealt with. Never again!

I bought a side by side refrigerator model FGSC2335TF0 in December of 2017 and within a few days, it was not freezing food items on the refrigerator side. Fast forward to February 2018 and 6/7 service calls later, the refrigerator is still not working and is now so bad that it leaks water from the water dispenser. Frigidaire has continuously refused to replace the unit and insists on trying to repair it even though they have so far made it worse! Never mind that I am taking time off from work when they send service people, I am throwing food out every few weeks after they 'fix' it, and that my wooden floors are now so badly damaged from water leaking from the unit. I have made the decision to throw the refrigerator away, accept I bought a lemon and move on as they have said my unit does not qualify for replacement - whatever that means. Thankfully, they are sending me a $50 gift card to make up for this *insert sarcastic sniggering. NEVER AGAIN!

When we finally got a visit from Frigidaire's authorized service company, he pulled the refrigerator out and saw that the perforated holes had not been punched out, causing it to burn up the compressor and the motherboard. Now we are waiting another week for the service company to come back out and replace those parts. 2 weeks without a fridge, all the food spoiled. And the customer service is rock bottom.

It started out with the back of the refrigerator freezing, then the icemaker freezing and making a loud thumping noise, the shelves on the doors cracking and breaking, the meat and cheese drawer breaking. We had to shut the water off completely to the refrigerator because the whole unit started freezing, and we haven't use the icemaker in over a year. But this past weekend it completely stopped working and we are done!!! Please, please, please do not buy this refrigerator and see the pictures attached!!

I am urging anyone considering a Frigidaire refrigerator to look elsewhere. They are horrible. In the short one and half years I have had this fridge it has given us a number of issues with the ice maker. Finally, the loud thumping sound that has been ongoing for the past few weeks has prompted me to leave a poor review. Our warranty has expired and we were told we gave to pay out of pocket to access the issue. As we are awaiting to put more money towards a relatively new fridge that already cost 2 thousand dollars to begin with I am livid and hoping I can spare at least someone the activation accompanied with purchasing a fridge from this company.

Furthermore, the repair technician who came out told us that we were about to have water problems behind the fridge because the coil was just about come through the aluminum backing. The service company could not repair because it is a sealed system/compressor issue and recommended I call Frigidaire for warranty repair. Called Frigidaire (it's now over a week with no refrigerator) and was told by the surly customer service representative that a different company will be coming out next week to diagnose the issue, then I have to wait 5-7 days for the parts, another repair date, etc. So, in short, weeks until I have a working refrigerator when it is less than 2 months old!

I had 2 bad experiences, and 2 good experiences! My first phone call: My first phone call to Frigidaire was answered by a totally uncaring woman. I complained of the noise my shiny new fridge was making. (I nicknamed my fridge Darth Vader because that's what it sounds like), and the fact that it would leak all over the floor for no apparent reason. She said, in a very snooty voice, "If you read the owner's manual, it says that!" She had no right to talk to me in that tone of voice. Like I have to right to call her! She sounded illiterate. I did read the owner's manual. It said the refrigerator will make noise. Of course, it will. If it doesn't make any noise, it would be because it isn't running! I'm talking about a very annoying, very unusual noise.

My 2nd phone call: I called back because I could get used to the noise, but not the wet kitchen floor. A different woman told me that "Some leakage is to be expected." Not quite as snooty, but... um... no! Leakage is not expected! My 3rd phone call: Finally, I made an angry call, based on my 2 previous experiences. This lady was friendly, concerned, and helpful! We came to the conclusion that we needed either a new filter or a bypass. If neither of those worked, she would be happy to send out a service rep. By the time I got a new filter installed (my own fault for taking so long), the ice maker had completely stopped working and was flooding the floor worse than ever! The new filter didn't help.

My 4th phone call: I was given a friendly, "How about tomorrow morning", instead of an argument! The service rep was wonderful. He knew the problem immediately. Apparently, the ice-maker has been a problem in the past (as noted in these reviews). He changed it out without hesitation, with a new model designed specifically to alleviate the problems the old ice-maker had. He also recommended leaving the ice-maker turned off (I had turned it off for awhile thinking something needed to be defrosted - I was right, but it still needed to be replaced) until we got a bypass. I had purchased the filter because I couldn't find a bypass anywhere (except online). He ordered one for us, and we got it via UPS in a few days. We now have a steady flow of ice and no leakage. Darth Vader still lives in our house, but we have gotten used to him. If he ever stops gasping for air, we will call again, because he will have died.

Bought Frigidaire Refrigerator, Microwave, Dishwasher thru Clayton Mobile Homes brand new 12/2017. I've actually only lived in the home 10 days. I paid a lot to upgrade from the cheap appliances normally in these homes. Yet all have a shiny cheap looking exteriors that scratch extremely easily. Immediately upon removing the shipping film there were scratches on the exterior refrigerator doors, microwave, and dishwasher. All appliances develop scratches despite very careful minimal use. I don't even cook. Nothing has touched the surfaces except water and clean microfiber cloth per manufactures manual. BUT, if you do touch the exterior surfaces to clean they get scratches. And there are several different types scratches that just appear. They look terrible.

According to Frigidaire website the Refrigerator model FFSS2315TE has an Ultrasoft exterior finish. According to their representative on the phone Ultrasoft (trademark) means "matte" finish. All these appliances have shiny surfaces. I did not get what I paid for. So far Frigidaire is not correcting the problem. I feel all three appliances need to be removed and replaced with the correct models, as shown on the Frigidaire website. No children live in my home. Bought with Oakwood Mobile Home.

I purchased a Kenmore refrigerator manufactured by Frigidaire in 2013. Since the time of purchase I have had the icemaker/water dispenser serviced three times between 2013 and 2016. When I pulled the refrigerator out to inspect it the back had rusted out. The area of rust was approximately a foot wide and four feet long. I contacted Sears and was told I had to contact Frigidaire.

Frigidaire told me just the opposite. After investigating the problem I learned that the rust problem has been known by Frigidaire since 2008 and they have done nothing to correct it. When I got nowhere with either Sears or Frigidaire I contacted the South Carolina Consumer Affairs Division. They made my complaint known to a Sears rep who sent a letter saying there was nothing they could do about it.

When I called and spoke to this rep she was very nasty and told me to go ahead and contact an attorney. Needless to say I am very unhappy with the way I was treated and now have to purchase a new refrigerator which I cannot afford. I am 73 years old and living on a fixed income. I highly recommend that no one purchase a Frigidaire Refrigerator and if you already own one, be sure to pull it out and check the back for rust.
