Brand new condo in 2020. Haven't been here 3 years and the fridge suddenly stopped working. No power to it. No help from the company. Can't even find the damn model/serial number. I BOUGHT NEW because I don't want to have to worry about things for a while. Hot water heater already busted in this place/flooded. All my kitchen appliances are Frigidaire and I don't like them. How in the hell does the fridge suddenly go out? It's not the electric supply to the fridge. They HID the model/serial number and the more I look for it, the warmer the contents of the fridge get. And it's the weekend, of course they're not answering. Appliances only go out M-F from 8am-4pm, silly me.

Notified Lowe’s for the 2nd time. 6. Service Tech shows up - temp control issue/will write for replacement. 7. No update. 8. Advised to work with warranty replacement - Manufacturer. 9. Several service calls later - all advising that the refrigerator will be replaced. 10. 18 months later no replacement and a refrigerator that does not work. Very disappointing.

We bought a complete set of kitchen appliances in May 2021 (all Frigidaire), including a French Door Refrigerator, Model, No. 4A11012628. The Fridge was built in March 2021 and we bought the Fridge in May 2021. Since that time we have had to call for service 8-10 times. So far the Ice maker has been replaced and serviced several times, the computer board has been replaced twice, the solenoid has been replaced, now we are waiting for more than a week for the compressor motor to be replaced. Each time we have to throw out food, and wait more than a week for a part to arrive. This is totally unacceptable. At this point, we would like to have a replacement Refrigerator. It is very frustrating for elderly people living in Florida to be without a Refrigerator. Please do the right thing and replace this Fridge. Signed: L C **

Am writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the Frigidaire refrigerator that I recently purchased. I expected a high-quality appliance from a reputable brand, but unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. Less than two months after purchasing the refrigerator, it began experiencing issues. To my dismay, I discovered that Lennar Builders had purchased these appliances in bulk, resulting in a limited warranty of only one year. Considering the price I paid for the refrigerator, I find this warranty coverage inadequate.

When I initially reached out to Frigidaire customer service for assistance, I quickly realized that obtaining any meaningful support would be a challenging task. I was informed by the builder that the best way to contact Frigidaire was through chat, where I was greeted by a chatbot. After answering a series of questions, I was finally connected to a live agent. This marked the beginning of my frustration. To resolve the ongoing issues with my refrigerator, Frigidaire sent a technician from my area. However, the technician had to make a total of six visits because different problems kept surfacing. It became evident that my refrigerator needed to be practically rebuilt. This level of unreliability and the repeated need for repairs in such a short span of time is unacceptable for a brand-new appliance.

Recently, my refrigerator's ice maker stopped producing ice, prompting me to contact Frigidaire again. The chat support system asked me a series of questions and then instructed me to hold for an agent. After waiting for approximately an hour, I was abruptly disconnected without any resolution or assistance. This incident further highlights the lack of commitment to customer service that I have encountered throughout this entire ordeal. To sum up my experience, I have purchased an overpriced refrigerator that continually requires repairs, all while being backed by an overpriced warranty and abysmal customer service. This situation is simply unacceptable, and it reflects poorly on Frigidaire as a company.

I purchased this refrigerator at Home Depot on the weekend of July 4th 2022. I had the distinct feeling the saleswoman was trying to nudge me into buying another brand, and I wish she just would have clearly stated that Frigidaire is a bad brand. Almost 1 year later, June 15 th I picked up a strange nauseating odor coming from the bottom of my refrigerator. I went online to do some research thinking it was the drip pan which can collect water and cause odor. Well I found out that this drip pan is un removable and located in the bottom rear of the fridge. I did more research where I discovered how to reach it and sort of clean the pan. I also called for an Electrolux technician to come out and clean it for me if I was unsuccessful. Some people said on YouTube to tip the fridge until you could fit your hand under and with the help of another person or persons to retrieve the pan, yes unbelievable. A feat I couldn’t do as I’m a 67 y/o small, skinny female.

Others suggested removing the panel from the rear and carefully inserting disinfecting wipes until the odor was gone. Well I tried the latter with some success. Then I waited 1 week for my technician appointment. The technician didn’t even bother looking at the pan, just smelled it and said, “I have never smelled anything of that nature, don’t know what it could be and can not help you.” Wow! He did mention though that it would be a waste of my time to ask Frigidaire to replace the unit. So…then why should I purchase an extended warranty, right? Not happening. Now my only choices are: Move the fridge to my attached garage or buy a Whirlpool? Never will I buy another anything from Frigidaire.

After that every time I called customer service they would leave me on hold for an hour then hang up. After three weeks of no refrigerator, I paid $1500 to fix it myself. Worst customer service ever! Our brand new refrigerator started leaking shortly after purchase. Frigidaire has sent out technicians on 5 occasions. Each time, they have replaced or fixed multiple parts. Due to the location of the leak, the water pools behind a panel that cannot be removed. This has been going on for over a year. The refrigerator is now about 20 months old. There is noticeable mildew/possible mold. The most recent technician came and was unable to fix anything else. They reported it to the next department which immediately blamed us, the customer for not emptying out the ice tray at least 2x per week. They accused us of not using the ice and letting it build up; however, we do use it on a daily basis. The refrigerator is still under extended warranty and they said they will not do anything else to help us. Now we have a leaky fridge with likely mold behind a panel that cannot be removed the cost of an extended warranty and no help.

In addition, we have a 20 month old oven. The oven door glass shattered randomly when not in use and our family was in another room. We heard the glass shatter and called Frigidaire. The oven is no longer under its 1-year warranty. They refuse to send a tech or assist. When contacting another department, they blamed us indicating "unfortunately, microcracks resulting from stress are not always noticeable until the glass is not longer able to cope and shatters into tiny pieces. Any impact on your oven glass can contribute to these microcracks....[these] possibilities could cause micro-cracks over the years. This is not a manufacturing defect." They are blaming us, the customer for rough use and I remind you, this oven is only 20 months old, not "years" old.

Terrible customer service. Hours on the phone waiting with different prompts. First technician came over. He came through the guard gate. I directed him where to park he made a u-turn and departed. After waiting all day long then I had to reschedule to the following day. Technician was here at 5:33 p.m. The window for service was from 8:00 to 5:00. He got here at 5:33 p.m. I waited all day long. He was here less than 30 seconds.

I told me I can't put tall items in the middle of the refrigerator because of the cooling vents. He told me I can't put bags of lettuce on the side. That they belong in the bin. He told me I can't put things in the back of the refrigerator cause it'll freeze the food items. I asked him where am I supposed to put my food. He said, "You can buy a double wide different design refrigerator." I said this is a poor quality refrigerator. It should have cooling vents around inside the refrigerator not just the back of the refrigerator where your food freezes. He said, "I don't make them. I just service them." He said, "You can buy another refrigerator if you don't like this one." I also where am I supposed to put my food if I can't put it in the back of the refrigerator cause it'll freeze. I can't put it tall things in the middle of the refrigerator cause it'll block the fence and I can't put bags of lettuce on the side of the Frigidaire refrigerator. He just walked out.

He was here less than 30 seconds after me waiting two days for service. I was on hold to talk to supervisor. It took me an hour and a half to talk to someone. They promised me that he'd be here first thing in the morning. He didn't arrive till 5:33 p.m. I definitely wouldn't recommend Frigidaire refrigerator. Poor quality. Not well designed. Poor customer service. Long waits on hold to talk to somebody and many props on the phone to get to just to hear the music to wait hours. Definitely not satisfied with my purchase. This is under warranty and they have technicians that don't even spend time to try to find out what the problem is.

I’ve always believed in this brand and have always purchased their product. However, my latest experience has been extremely frustrating and the customer service has made it even worst! I purchased a refrigerator for one of my rental properties and I have been having issues ever since. It took a month with back-and-forth visits to be able to address the issue - Every visit they would come to fix it but would tell me there was something else wrong but they would have to schedule another appointment - My guest stayed a full month without a working fridge. When it was finally resolved it didn't take long to start giving problems again.

Now the fridge is having the same issue, not cooling, the current guest had to throw all their freezer food out and didn't have a proper working refrigerator during their vacation stay. This is an extremely frustrating situation for my guests and myself - I called to have a technician on-site and the earliest appointment was within a week -supposedly today - After not hearing back from anyone I called again and was informed it will be tomorrow before they can come by to assess the issue. I have guests coming in and I don't know what to expect about a resolution and it will result in a bad experience for my guest's vacation stay. Extremely disappointed with this service.

In the last two weeks they have come three times have now charged $1400 and the unit still did not work. The unit was originally over $2000 and now this would be an additional 1500. Today is May 16. Our Frigidaire gallery refrigerator has Failed April 25. On April 26 I called in a claim with the Electrolux/frigidaire extended warranty. They do not list an address or email, they can only be contacted by phone Monday through Friday east coast work hours. After lengthy automated phone advisories most often it says that due to excessive call volume they have to disconnect and that one should try again at a later time.

On May 11 their authorized repair service diagnosed the fridge as irreparable. Even The repair man couldn't get through to Frigidaire ad got disconnected! He told me it was hopeless to keep trying and that he would call the next day at 5:30 am our California time when Frigidaire opens on Eastern time and text me a file number. And he did! I highly appreciate and recommend smart tech appliance repair out of Red Bluff, California. Now Frigidaire is reviewing the replacement. It's May 16 and the Frigidaire representative asked for another week of patience until I will get a communication from frigidaire by e-mail or letter that may include a document request. This snail's pace is a inconsiderate disregard for the consumer's time. A refrigerator in California is important and a warranty claim has to be resolved without completely disrupting the consumer's life for months.

We spent $2400 on a refrigerator only for it to be useless two years later. After purchasing, and after it broke within the first year, I realized what crappy design it is. The door function is horrible. A guy came out and repaired it. Which that took an act of congress to make that happen. For it to only break in another six months. Which was outside the warranty, meaning we would have to pay for any repairs. So because we bought a lemon, we are just out the money and out of luck. Every time I have had to call customer service. Which is about five or six times. I have had horrible experiences. You can tell that the reps could care less and are just trying to get you off the phone. Horrible training. Horrible product. Refrigerator should last more than a year. And you shouldn’t have to buy an extended warranty in my opinion. You should just make quality products. Never again will I make the mistake of purchasing from Frigidaire.

Updated on 06/04/2023: This is an update to my review of Frigidaire Gallery French door with 2 drawers fridge purchased March 2021. As previously shared, the ice maker is not repairable, as per Frigidaire. There is no access to the frozen water line to the ice maker. The condenser fan was replaced and failed again after about 3 weeks. The manufacturer’s parts are garbage. Waiting for another repair which is covered under the appliance repair company’s warranty. Just trying to get through this before being forced to purchase another fridge. NOW the freezer keeps throwing a HI temp warning. The Appliance repair technician believes there is a SEALED SYSTEM FAILURE! Coolant is not circulating properly. This is very bad. Where is the protection for consumers? This is a nightmare. The fridge is a little over 2 years old. Frigidaire…STEP UP and do the right thing.

Original: I purchased a Frigidaire Gallery 4 door French door counter depth Frig in March 2021. Ice maker worked only intermittently until dying in March 2023 along with the condenser fan. We were outside of the warranty window so we paid a very reputable and professional appliance repair company to fix both. They were able to replace the condenser fan and I no longer have to live with the sound of a jackhammer in my kitchen and the fridge works fine. (BTW, the fan failed after only 2 years); however, after 2 attempts to fix the ice maker using a “kit” recommended by a rep at Frigidaire, the repair technician was told by a Frigidaire rep that the ice maker was, in fact, NOT A REPAIRABLE part of the freezer! WHAAAT?)

There is a defect in the design that causes the water line to the ice maker to freeze up, BUT… BUT… there is literally NO ACCESS to the water line to the ice maker. The appliance repair company refunded me immediately since I paid to have it repaired but it was not repairable. I then called Frigidaire and the only compensation they could offer was a discount off of my next Frigidaire appliance… Like that’s going to happen. I am so disgusted with this product and the fact that there is NO Protection for consumers in these situations. Please beware.

This is a caution to other customers considering buying Frigidaire products. I purchased a refrigerator Frigidaire Gallery in 2021. It's not even been 2 years and there is a problem with the freezer section. Frigidaire put me in touch with TransGlobal to come and determine the issue. I paid $300 CAD, two technicians came over and looked at the refrigerator and have identified this as a MANUFACTURER SYSTEM ERROR, there is a Freon leak which they cannot trace. I now have to purchase a new fridge. I called Customer service. Frigidaire will not stand behind the quality of their product. I was told that I can get a discount on parts but because I do not purchase the extended warranty, they cannot do anything for me. My issue here is that the problem is with the quality and breakdown of product which the manufacturer cannot fix, if the manufacturer cannot stand behind their products then customers need to be aware of this.

I understand that I did not take the extended warranty and I was very willing to pay for parts and labour on any problem, but never did I think that Frigidaire would NOT TAKE OWNERSHIP for errors on their faulty or poor quality of equipment. I was very unhappy to hear that after I spent so much money to purchase a new fridge, that Frigidaire will not be responsible. I would understand if the fridge was old....but it's not even two years. ALL system errors should be accountable by Frigidaire. As a customer I bought this product in good faith. Model number: FG4H2272UF. Serial Number: 1K00576441.

I received my order of my Frigidaire side by side refrigerator in Dec 2022. Shortly after that, began my numerous phone calls to Frigidaire Customer Service and the several different service providers. I just want to reach the CEO of the company to explain all of my issues and or concerns. They should be made aware that this appliance has many problems. I would say my biggest concern would be that I’m afraid of a fire. My safety and the safety of my family could be at jeopardy. My walls are turning black in the back of the appliance and it’s inches away from the wall. Every service provider that has been to the house has said that they’ve never seen anything like that before.

Instead of the company (Frigidaire) addressing this issue that could possibly cause a serious problem and that it could be a safety concern they continue to send service providers to the house. They keep saying they need different documents and that there’s a process. So I guess they would rather take their chances with someone else’s life than refund a customer. It freezes the food in the fridge, the shelves seem to sit on the edges. I adjust them but they still slide, it would look as if they were going to fall. Doors are not aligned properly. It came with dings and scratches and with the film almost glued to the appliance. It makes tons of noise, all different types of sounds.

The first few weeks it ran constantly, that was when the first service provider visits started. The vents dripping water from fridge vent from where the dampers are on more than one occasion, even after having sensors replaced and more than one service provider coming to check it. The high temp message appeared and remained on for hours, until I was told to basically try and reset the appliance. They’ve already changed out the recalled ice maker, a shelf/drawer in fridge that was broken, and some sensors. I’ve had food’s freezing. It’s building condensation. I have videos and pictures to show what I’m referring too. Foods had to be dumped. This is ridiculous to be be happening with a new appliance that's a few months old. My older appliance still worked and didn’t give me all these issues and it was old. These new appliances are made poorly and really don’t compare to the older ones.

In the process of dealing with all of this my over the range microwave went and I had to purchase a new one. Of course I purchased one to match the refrigerator and the first one I received was damaged. I had to order a new one. The microwave is also made poorly and seems like the door is messed up, this is the second microwave. The door also looks unaligned. I’m just dealing with the microwave, I guess as of now it’s less issues than the refrigerator. I want a complete refund at this point. I’m so disappointed. This company does not stand by their word their guarantee. I think I’ve already had about 4 different service providers and 1 has came multiple times.

I wish that Frigidaire would come and take both appliances, so that I could go purchase something with less problems. I do own other older Frigidaire appliances that haven’t given me issues. It’s this new stuff. I’m disabled and shouldn’t be dealing with these issues. I’m supposed to be having a procedure and haven’t been able to schedule it due to having to handle all this nonsense. Every month I have service providers at my house. I want a resolution, CEO PLEASE HANDLE THIS.

This complaint spans over various dates from March 2023 - April 2023 Re # - ** and **. We bought a new FRIGIDAIRE REFRIGERATOR on Feb. 18, 2023. It is under the manufacturer warranty which cover the entire year until Feb. 2024. The refrigerator has not worked correctly since the first day we got it. Frigidaire has sent multiple technicians to our home to try and fix the problem but none of them can fix it. I was told by all the customer service reps at Frigidaire that after 3 attempts to fix refrigerator by technicians, the 3rd technician would have to call master technician at Electrolux and deem the refrigerator not fixable and broken and order us a new replacement refrigerator.

The last technician to come to our home, Dial Appliance, came and the refrigerator still does not work. I called Dial Appliance and spoke to Eugene to tell him the refrigerator is still not working and instead of calling Electrolux as per Frigidaire's policy since this was 3RD repair attempt, Eugene said he could only send out the technician again to replace a circuit board which was done twice already! Eugene also stated that Frigidaire does not have a type of "exchange policy" and that they will just keep sending out technicians indefinitely. Eugene would not call Frigidaire to report 3rd repair attempt failed. He was very rude and kept interrupting me and refused to call Frigidaire to verify its exchange policy for products under warranty. I have lost hundreds of dollars worth of food because my fresh food keeps freezing and Frigidaire will not honor their policy.

Also, 2 of the repair companies that Frigidaire sent to my house were very rude and unprofessional - Dial Appliance and Total Appliance Solutions. The customer service people at these companies are abrasive and abusive toward female customers in particular. I will be contacting Lowes and Consumer Affairs of NJ and of the USA. I want Frigidaire to give a proper working product which I paid for and reimbursement for $1000 worth food.

Bottom line, Frigidaire sells poorly made products, does not honor their manufacturer's warranty and does business with unprofessional, sub-par repair companies who are just interested in getting paid for technician visits and actually helping the customer. This is by far the ABSOLUTE WORST experience I have had as a customer from a major band. Our refrigerator is completely broken now and does not even keep a cold temperature and it's only two months old. Steer way clear of Frigidaire products. Their quality had gone way down and their customer service is just as bad.

Purchased a Frigidaire french door refrigerator at Lowe's. Less than three years after purchase we started having issues. Purchased the 3 year extended warranty, which we assumed would cover us 3 years, hence the name of the warranty. Called Lowe's and they said the warranty is actually 2 years, 2 extended and 1 from the manufacturer. First refrigerator stopped cooling, then started leaking at the bottom on one side. Ice maker in the freezer part also stopped working. Called repairman, at our cost, and they showed me a big blob of ice on the back of the refrigerator that was eating through the insulation, and melting onto the floor. This is an over $2000 refrigerator that lasted about 3 years. I've read where other people have had the same issue with the insulation failing.

They sent us their official servicer who performed the repair and a few days later they call saying we owe $500+ because our fridge is in fact not under warranty. A company like them claiming payment after the repair was performed is extremely unprofessional. Find a different company to buy appliances from. Their customer service is absolutely useless and ignorant and now we're getting into legal action because of their utter incompetence.

I have been trying to get my Frigidaire Gallery side by side refrigerator repaired since 07/22. Frigidaire said they only have 3 companies in area- it seems to be only 1 employee for each. One company came out and said he had to order a part for the water filter. He never returned. I called and always rec'd voice mail. I left several msgs. I called Frigidaire back and they couldn't get him. I waited and called back, still voice mail. Called Frig again, they told me he was on vacation. This was weeks later and I had not been informed. They were sending another company. Each time, that company kept putting me off b/c an emergency situation would come up.

The next company needed a claim#. I called myself and got the claim# and gave him. He said that was a tix#. I called bk and got the claim# and gave him. He said ok, it has to come from Frigidaire, I wish he had told me before I called bk and was holding for so long. When he called to schedule, he said Frigidaire told him I had to pay. I called Frigidaire back and told them I was tired of playing these games. That person told me he would escalate this situation up. Nobody called me in reference to this issue. I was told about the escalation twice. I'm paying for a refrigerator and it's not working properly. I have to keep paying to keep my credit up.

This refrigerator is under frigidaire warranty. It was initially under the original not the extended warranty at the time. When I first got it, they had to come service the ice maker and now it's the water filter. Again, I'm paying for something that's not working properly and also paying for this warranty with frigidaire. Now, they are sending another company (a 4th one). They were suppose to come 02/17/2023. Well they called and rescheduled. The cycle continues. Now, I'm receiving mail and emails to renew frigidaire warranty. NO WAY!!! I've asked how can I be compensated. They told me they have to go by the warranty plan. Well, they not going by the plan when I'm not getting the service. I'm just giving them money for no service. DO NOT PURCHASE FRIGIDAIRE WARRANTY.!!

I don't think they care at all. Finally executed the prompt nightmare and got a repair appointment (took almost an hour). It was mentioned in the exchange that the repair people would contact me for a credit card number in case issue was not covered by warranty. This refrigerator was bought December 2022, not 3 months ago, could not get a response as to why warranty might not cover. Issue with fridge is it runs too much and is too loud, has been so from beginning. Worst customer service experience I have encountered yet. The day before my appointment they cancelled and said they’d buy the most common parts for repairs and reschedule. This put me back another day. The tech comes and says that one of the compressors went bad and would have to order one. I told him in less than a year I don’t want a repair. I want it replaced. I was told to call the warranty company back. I do and I was told that being the tech can potentially repair it replacement is not an option. Nine days later I still do not have a functioning fridge or a repair date. This is unacceptable and poor service. I recommend buying any other brand but this one. None of these process allow you to actually talk to a human being. Ok so I found a way to work around the automated system. Got put on hold, estimated wait time 45 minutes. We bought our Frigidaire around Feb 2022 and started to have issues around the 60 day mark of having it. The ice maker would make minimal ice which wasn’t a huge deal for me. It was when our fridge stopped cooling in June/July and spoiled all our food because customer service couldn’t send any maintainer worker to assess the fridge for another 14 DAYS. After we cleaned out our fridge and the day before the maintenance worker was going to come out the fridge magically started to work again. The cooling fan sounded normal and the freezer reached its normal temperature. When their maintenance guy “assessed” what was wrong all he did was replace the ice maker because it had a recall. We told him that the fridge stopped cooling for almost 2 weeks and the fan in the freezer door made this horrible buzzing like noise on and off for a week before it fully quit. Their guy didn’t even look at the damn fridge or look for any broken or faulty parts!!!

He just replaced the ice maker and marked down that the fridge is operational. Now here we are again in December 2022 and it is making the same noise and I am receiving high temp alerts on my fridge again. My wife called customer service and it’s the same old story again. They won’t refund us, send anyone over for another 14 days to “repair” it, or extend our warranty. I can’t believe a fridge that isn’t even a year old is giving me so many damn problems. I’ll have to buy a new fridge because I can’t keep going without a fridge for 2-4 weeks every 4-6 months. Even if they knew what the problem was they would have to ship the parts and that itself would take another 2-4 weeks!!!! I am never going to buy any product from Frigidaire again because THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. Do not buy any products from them unless you love money and time. TERRIBLE PRODUCT. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. DO NOT PURCHASE REFRIGERATOR MODEL FRFS282LAF. We recently bought a new home with a brand new Frigidaire refrigerator unit. The water dispenser is leaking and drips after each use causing puddles on the floor. It began having an error code that could not be fixed by troubleshooting recommendations.

I called Frigidaire and gave information and scheduled evaluation/repair date. The company they contracted with could not come on that date as they reported they did not have the model number which was provided when I called Frigidaire the first time. It was rescheduled once the information (serial number) was given again so that they could have parts to come fix. They came out, did not have parts and had to reorder them and are supposedly coming again. They could not address the leaking water in addition to the error code as it is a separate issue, requires separate order number through Frigidaire and he will have to come again to assess once Frigidaire creates another ticket.

A brand new Frigidaire unit should not require this within three months of use. I have now missed two days of productivity waiting for technicians, have to wait for part while my refrigerator continues to not work (no ice, can't set temperature) and water continues to leak. I called and asked to speak to supervisor as I do not want this unit as it is clearly defective and was told a master technician could only process refund and technician said Frigidaire was only one who could process this. Supervisor (Riva) said they had report and that parts were ordered but then said they still needed report to be able to address issue and ultimately hung up on me. Save your time and money and your floors and DO NOT purchase this unit. I will never purchase another Frigidaire product as they clearly have poor quality control, poor customer service and blatant disregard for your time.

Each time, they told me the noises were normal. I have recordings of the noises -- which almost sound like a gunshot. Also, 2 of the drawers broke - the wheel snapped off completely on one side of each drawer. When the service technician came out for the first drawer, he had to purchase a new drawer, and left it on my doorstep.

Since I do not know how to replace a refrigerator drawer, nor should I have to, the drawer is sitting in my basement. The second drawer broke shortly after the first. Not only this, but my food is freezing -- an entire jar of pickles, my produce - an entire bunch of asparagus, a fennel -- solid ice (in the refrigerator). Frigidaire tells me this is all normal and refuses to do anything to remedy the situation. I am concerned the refrigerator is a fire hazard. I am very upset and frustrated.

Managed to get technician to come in on Wednesday. Technician tried replacing starter but by that afternoon it was back to not working. Was told a part needed to be ordered and technician would be back Monday or Tuesday.

The fridge was determined to be unrepairable. Electrolux tells me they cannot process possible replacement until they have the report from technician. Technician shows up on Wednesday and submits the report. Thursday I call and am told the back office is the one to decide if we are eligible to get new fridge and it will take 3-5 business days. I am then told I won't get a call from Electrolux, I must call them to see if they are replacing my fridge. If they decide to replace my fridge then I will have to schedule a delivery date. Who is to say they even have a fridge in stock. It's at the point where I don't think I'll see a fridge for at least another 2 weeks so over a month without a fridge. I just can't believe the customer service, constantly making me call and sending me in circles. Zero compensation for lost food or inconvenience of not having a fridge for over a month.

I am so ashamed of myself for purchasing such a horrible refrigerator. It's a gallery series. Why in the world would you make ice cubes bigger than the dispenser can handle? That is exactly what they have done with this refrigerator. Also it plugs up constantly and then it will shoot out ice cubes like crazy and you have to open the door to stop it. Also the bar that goes up inside the freezer in the ice cube department does what it wants when it wants. My ice cube bin is never full. It seems like it will make ice for a couple of hours and then stop for a couple of days. This has happened from day one when we first got the refrigerator.

I don't have the time nor the patience to call a repairman nor should I on a brand new refrigerator. The first one that we got was damaged. It was dented on the front doors. Where we got it from made it right by sending us another one. We were in process of remodeling the kitchen. So by the time we got everything perfect to put our refrigerator in its spot time had passed. I guess the moral of this story is, Frigidaire is truly a crappy product. I should have spent the money and got a better brand. Every time I have to get ice out of my freezer that stupid tiny little dispenser for those really big ice cubes I get so angry. Our brand new fridge in a brand new condo DIED WITHIN 6 MONTHS. It has been 2 months, we still cannot get our fridge replaced. I moved in to this brand new condo with all new appliances (FRIDGE, OVEN, MICROWAVE, AND DISHWASHER) all from Frigidaire. Our new fridge died in less 6 months, we lost our food and everything that was inside the fridge.

As soon we realized that, I contacted my landlord who immediately contacted Frigidaire at 800-265-8352. They told us they will send a technician. After 2 weeks of waiting someone came in and told me your fridge has gone bad, call them (the Frigidaire people) again and tell them to replace your fridge. The technician said that he himself will send a report. The technician said that he has sent the report.. guess what the Frigidaire people said they did not receive it. We kept calling until they said that they received the report.

The Frigidaire team said that they will have to another (A SECOND) technician... guess what after another 2 weeks !! same thing, the fridge needs to be replaced. Mind you, all this time we do not have a fridge. We kept calling, anytime you want to speak with customer service, you have to wait in line between 45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes. The customer service refused to pass through their supervisor. Every time we call there is another story.

Over two weeks ago (Mid of May), we were told the problem has been resolved. Funny.. we still don't have a fridge. I called again last week beginning of June, they said we have the Brick, the customer agent (he said his name is Gen) gave me a wrong numbers (** & **) and told me to call The Brick. Both numbers took me to a different service. The lady was kind enough and told me to Google The brick number which I did. The Brick team told me they did not receive any confirmation from Frigidaire People. I called again today, June 7th, same thing. Take this number call them ... I told the customer agent that IT'S not my JOB to CALL the Brick. He (customer agent) asked the Brick number I told him to Google it himself.

In Summary, DO NOT BUY FRIGIDAIRE APPLIANCES. Not only it will die in less than a year, they will not repair or replace it for you if your appliances die. We still do not have a fridge - and it has been over 2 months. I do not know what to do anymore.

Buyer Beware! I purchased a Frigidaire fridge from Costco in January 2021. The fridge started failing in Nov 2021 – it wouldn’t keep food cold in the fridge or freezer section. After trouble shooting on our own, we contacted Costco’s warranty department in mid Dec of 2021. They said because the fridge was still under manufacturer’s warranty that they couldn’t help us and to talk to Frigidaire. After multiple calls to Frigidaire’s customer service department (who kept repeatedly telling me I couldn’t read the serial # on the fridge in front of me) they figured out it wasn’t actually a Frigidaire fridge but made by Curtis International, who pays Frigidaire to put the Frigidaire logo on their appliances. I was passed off yet again.

A few calls and emails to Curtis later, I finally got ahold of their warranty department, and after sending in a bunch of photos they agreed to warranty the fridge. They said we would get either a new fridge sent to us or a cheque for what we paid at Costco. This whole process took weeks to go through. The warranty was approved in January (almost a month later from the initial contact), but they would not tell me what the resolution was going to be (either a new fridge or cheque). We had been without a functioning fridge since Nov and all I was asking was what option they were doing so I could either wait or go out and buy a new fridge.

Multiple calls to customer service and emails to the warranty department left me with no answers. NO ONE could answer my simple question, their replies were vague, template answers and not helpful. And the warranty department will only reply to emails, and it takes days to reply and even then they don’t answer questions. I finally got an email for head office after calling customer service (again) and escalating my complaint to a supervisor. Again, only email (no phone) and days later they finally said they were sending a cheque (no timeline when). This was now 1 month from when the warranty was approved. I cannot understand why it would take 1 month to answer the question: are you sending me a fridge or a cheque.

Throughout this process I had repeatedly asked for someone to talk to me about the amount of the refund, because we bought it from Costco and used two forms of payment on the receipt (gift card and credit card). No one would ever call me or answer the question about the cheque amount until it was too late. The cheque arrived and it was not what we paid for the fridge! It was about $135 less, despite the fact that we sent them multiple copies of the receipt and I requested we discuss this before they sent the cheque. I still don’t know where they got that amount from that they sent me, as that number is nowhere on the receipt or anywhere near the retail price we paid.

This has been a horrible customer experience with this company. The communication is extremely poor and practically non-existent, and now not only am I out a fridge (which I had to destroy) but I am out $135 and I still have to go buy a new fridge! This all could have been avoided if they had communicated timely and properly. In retrospect, I would have demanded that Costso give me a refund and never dealt with this awful company. I am in awe that Frigidaire would do business with such an awful company and put their name and brand on their products. I would be hard pressed to even buy a Frigidaire product again, in case it was actually Curtis again. And quite frankly, if their standards for partners are that low, I don’t want their products.

We purchased this Model # LFHB2751TF8 Refrigerator in Nov2021 from Lowes with a 5 year warranty. It was delivered on Nov 28th. After a week it started making less and less ice until it would only make about a glass full in 24 hours. With the holidays going on we waited to call for service because we didn't know when someone could be there for the service. Apparently we waited too long so Lowes would not do anything. We then contacted Frigidaire service department and set up a service appointment for Jan 4th between 8am and 12:00. We were given the name of the service company and a phone number. On Jan 4th we waited until 1:00 pm and called the company to see when they would be there. We were informed that they did not have a service ticket for our address or name.

We called Frigidaire and were told by a recording that we needed to call back as they were very busy with calls. We started an online chat and was told that the service was being done by another company that would be there between 8:00am and 5:00pm. While on the chat we called the company and they said that they did not have an order for our name or address. The chat service sent a service order to the first company name we were given. We called and the lady said that the order had just come in minutes before and she was sorry but they didn't service our area.

Frigidaire was going to send the order to the second company but in that short amount of time the company had taken its self off Frigidaire's list of service companies. We were then told that all Frigidaire could do was turn me over to their locator department to try and find another service company that would take the service order and it would be 3 to 5 business days before we heard from them. I asked for a supervisor that told me the same thing. We can't give a favorable review for this unit but we do give Frigidaire a very unfavorable review as to how they handle the service of their products. We would never purchase anything from Frigidaire again. They only seem concerned with the sale, not the service.

We have been shuffled around by very nice costumer service reps who basically did what they were qualified to do (not much). Each time we get a different rep who tells us the same things and they have most recently tried telling us our warranty is expired, even though the process was started over a month before the Warranty expired.

We live in a rural area and there are limited Frigidaire repair services in our area. The first guy came out and couldn't/wouldn't fix it. After that the reps scheduled the same guy and another service. No one came or contacted us. We've spent hours on the phone, on live chats, and emailing, with no results. I am starting to think that they are hoping we'll give up. Which makes me even more determined to see it through. Grr. Take responsibility, Frigidaire! I purchased a new refrigerator after the first Frigidaire quit working. The first week I noticed a broken drawer, which I thought one of my kids had done only to realize now why that happened. This fridge is less than 3 years old and apparently has poor craftsmanship because it is literally shifting although it has never been moved since installation by the techs. My freezer door will not stay closed and the shelves will not stay in place. Now the ice maker only works part time which I believe is due to the shifting as well. I called customer service multiple times and could never get through. Today I called and was on hold for 25 minutes before it just hung up on me, then I called back twice only to get a message that they were in training and it hung up.

I looked up a different number and was told the only thing they could do was charge me a service call of an unknown amount but no less than $100 to most likely tell me that since it is over a the year manufacturer warranty that they can't do anything about their poor craftsmanship or stand behind their product on a case by case basis. Therefore I am just stuck with the second piece of poor product from their company and oh well! When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told that she was able to take supervisor calls and that I could call back to get someone else but I would have to wait another 30 minutes or so most likely and that it is their policy and I wouldn't get any different answer.

So glad to know this is how their customers are treated with an obvious issue in their workmanship. I will be posting this review everywhere I can and will never buy another Frigidaire product. Since posted this review to their website they told me they could not post it for various reasons. I guess you are only allowed to give good reviews not honest reviews if they aren't given 5 stars. Purchase date: 10/11/20. Total purchase price including tax: 1641.94. In June of 2021, I noticed water leaking under and around the fridge on the side with the ice maker. It wasn't a ton of water, but enough to know it wasn't normal. Called the Frigidaire customer service number (1-800-374-4432) on 06/23/21. After lengthy hold time, spoke to a representative who gave me a date of 06/28/21 between 0800 and 1700 for a local repair person to come. I asked if I could have some information about the repair company, namely a phone number in case something happened that I couldn't be available the entire day, and was told, "We can't give you that information. We will give the company your number and someone will be in touch".

Fast-forward to 1655 on 06/28/21 after I had to take the entire day off work and still no one had arrived to look at the fridge. I placed a call to the aforementioned customer service number, questioning why no repair person arrived. I was told, "you did not have an appointment scheduled". "Are you kidding?" I reply. I demand that someone pull up the recording of the customer service call that I had placed on the 23rd. I was then told, "I do see where you called, but nothing was ever scheduled". I request to speak to a supervisor and am told, "There isn't anyone available to speak to you. I am in Asia". I insist that everyone has a supervisor and am told "they leave for the day at five".

I go into a rant about the poor customer service and start questioning the relationship between this customer service company and Frigidaire, and am told they will try to find someone to whom I can speak. Enter Sharon, who tells me she is on the East Coast of the U.S. She apologizes and schedules me for service on June 30th. I am provided with a dispatch number (wow, just heard about that), the company name and phone number, and instructions to call them to verify the appointment. At that point I am feeling much better.

The repair man came on the 30th and said there was nothing wrong. We had turned the water off to the fridge when it started leaking, so, to be fair, maybe that had something to do with him thinking there was nothing wrong. He had me turn the water back on, and during the 15 minutes he was in our home, there was no water leaking. However, it started again a few hours later. We placed a call to him the next day, but he never responded back.

Here I sit, one hour into my wait on the customer service line, 07/12/21. This review is really not as much about the product itself, but about the customer service experience, because that, to me, is a much more serious issue. The real test of a company is the manner in which it responds to issues. Every company has problems and makes mistakes, but it is the commitment to resolving issues that separates mediocrity from excellence.

Today, when I called the same customer service number, the automatic answering system was set up differently from the last time I called. I followed prompts for refrigerator repairs for products purchased within the past year. After entering my zip code, I was given the phone numbers of local repair companies via the automated system. The first repair shop I called was closed for business, per the corporate office. The second one said they serviced my area, but I needed to initiate a "dispatch number" with Frigidaire in order for the service to be covered under the warranty.

Okay, my question is, why would the automated customer service line even give you the numbers of the local repair companies when you are required to have a dispatch number generated by Frigidaire to receive service? The only reason to do something like that is to hold off taking customer calls, right? If the repair people know I need to speak to a Frigidaire rep to receive a dispatch number, I would think the company itself would be aware of that tidbit?

So, I try to call the same customer service number several times. One prompt led to the message of "we are busy and can't take the call" and the phone hung up. There wasn't even a choice to stay on hold. Another prompt told me I could read the FAQs online to figure out my problem, or chat with customer service. When I tried to participate in the online chat, the link was nonfunctional.

Finally, I used my head a little and picked the prompt for repairs under purchased extended warranties. I was actually given a choice to wait on hold or leave a number for a call back. I stayed on hold on one phone and at the same time called customer service from another phone line and requested a call back. After approximately 1.25 hours on hold, someone answered, but immediately put me back on hold. A while later someone else answered, and after listening to my rant about hideous customer service and how my call better have been recorded, I did receive a dispatch number.

The fact that I had to follow prompts for the extended purchased warranty, and how to purchase one if interested, in order to even be able to sit on hold for a live person, speaks volumes to me. Frigidaire apparently wants to take care of calls related to an area of the business focused on generating more revenue instead of taking care of repairs covered under manufacturer warranty that are only costing them money. I can honestly say that this customer service experience would make me think long and hard before ever purchasing from this company again.

I told him that I was assured that there would be no charge when the appointment was made. The repairman sounded like he already made the decision that the loud noise was normal. I wish there was another option 'below 1' on the star rating. We bought 3 Frigidaire Gallery kitchen appliances over 2 years ago and are kicking ourselves for not buying extended warranties, which we have a huge problem with in principle, thinking that companies should actually back their products. First thing to go was the 'black' paint on the white plastic stove top. Who in the right mind thinks that a painted product is going to last around extreme heat. Of course one doesn't know it's painted at purchase time. I've had to touch it up with auto paint on several occasions and have now given up. Looks like crap now. I guess it was too much to ask to be made with black plastic.

Second up was the fridge. The wheels on both trays for vegetables/fruit gave out shortly after warranty. All the axles and housing cracked under the normal weight of fruits and vegetables. Again, who designs items that are going to break down and can't possibly hold up under normal everyday use. Perhaps they were meant to contain cotton candy and popcorn. And the unbelievably slow water flow from the water dispenser allows one to watch their own fingernails grow. And last but not least, the microwave. It was the last to give out so I give it credit for that. I'd replaced 2 fuses and when the third blew shortly after installation, had to call a repair specialist. It's going to cost about half of the original purchase price to fix it, and with no guarantee. If you're buying appliances, steer clear of Frigidaire. They look nice, but the quality of design and manufacturing is beyond terrible.

I bought this fridge 5 years ago, it’s the one with the French doors 36 inch in width, looks great lots of room worked perfect up until last month it stop making ice and the water dispenser stopped working. So I looked and checked the water lines to see if there was a problem, when I looked at the back of the fridge right at the top right side where the ice maker is located there was a block of ice that had formed around the tubes and frozen the water supply. So I called Frigidaire Customer service to tell them my problem and that it was the first time that they heard something like this happening, their solution was to call a certified repair person from their list since it was not on warranty anymore what a surprise. So I called and was told it would cost $185.00 for the service call to evaluate the problem and then they would tell me the cost to repair it.- WHAT A JOKE..

So I YouTube this problem and found a video with an upgrade foam kit insulation for the ice maker, order the kit, took it all apart defrosted and installed the foam plus I put some extra foam at the back under the tube lines so that they don’t touch the metal back part of the fridge and freeze again. Everything seems to be working but after 3 days the ice is forming up again at the top right side and I need to use a steamer to melt the ice. Called back at the Frigidaire customer service and was told that they could send me a rear panel kit which costs $690.90 plus tax part number Mfg Part Number 5303918657 which is simple a foam sheet that covers the whole back of the fridge.

This makes no sense it is just a cover so that you don’t get to see the build up of the ice. This is simply a manufacturer bad design and a defect on their part, which they are not willing to accept. So, No No No I would not recommend this fridge to anyone. Who ever is interested in this product just YouTube “Rust on back of Frigidaire gallery fridge“ and stay from this item...

The tech came, diagnosed the problem, and spent over an hour trying to reach Frigidaire about the part he needed. Once he reached the company, he learned that the part is not manufactured, and we'd have to junk the whole mini fridge and wait for a new one. I waited a couple of weeks and then called Frigidaire (after waiting on hold 45 minutes). I was told that the service company HAD reported that the refrigerator should be replaced, but that I had to fill out some paperwork. It was ostensibly emailed to me that day. Needless to say, it never got to me.

I called 10 days later, gave them another email address, and received the request for documentation. I filled it out that day, and returned it by email, as requested. That was 10/15/2020. I called in November to see what was going on, again waiting a long time for customer service, and was told it was in process. I let it go in December, and called again this morning, 1/12/21. I was then told my request had been approved, but data entered incorrectly. It makes 10 tiny ice cubes that melt almost immediately. I called the company and asked them for another ice maker and they told me there is no upgrade available. We purchased a complete kitchen with Frigidaire Gallery appliances in June. Upon receipt, the refrigerator doors were extremely uneven making it difficult to close and clicking noise. Also, the back of the appliance has a permanent stain. We are told due to fire-retardant leakage and the top shelf freezes. We called immediately and were told that we needed 3 repairmen to come out before they would give us a replacement. In our despair, we attempted to get the appliance fixed. Four repairmen attempted to fix the refrigerator. We are told that the refrigerator had been dropped and is skewed and unable to be fixed.

The last repairman even attempted to order and put in new doors but that did not fix the problem. Now the doors are even worse aligned and open periodically. A brand new refrigerator should not need new doors and four repairmen to attempt to fix it. Frigidaire wants us to pay an additional 30% for a replacement. This company does not stand by their product.

Today, nobody showed up. When we called, we were told the service company canceled our appointment. We received no communication whatsoever. Now we have to wait another week until November 24th!!!! Twice we have asked to speak to a Supervisor during this whole experience and nobody has called us back! This is a great product, but the noise is horrible. Within minutes of the refrigerator being delivered and installed, I began to hear noises that I at first thought was a neighbor using an electric drill. I called the warranty department and a representative came out and said it was the refrigerant, but said the noise was so bad that I should call Frigidaire directly. He put a sound dampener on it, which did quiet the noise so that it no longer woke me from a dead sleep.

I phone Frigidaire and spoke to a very kind customer service representative who sent out another warranty representative. This second rep stated that it was, in fact, the refrigerant, and yes, "it was annoying" and he asked me a few times if it sounded like that whenever the fridge was running, to which I responded "yes." He then said there was nothing he could do about it because it was in the owner's manual as stating: "Buzz: The compressor may produce buzzes during operation, and the buzzes are loud particularly upon start or stop. This is normal. Creak: Refrigerant owing inside of the appliance may produce creak, which is normal." The sound is constant when the refrigerator is running and it's a cross between a dentist's drill and the lost souls of Purgatory crying out. I recommend anyone who purchases this product to ask for it to be plugged in before installation to prevent horrible sound pollution coming into your home. Thank you!

I bought this refrigerator in 2013 and have had numerous issues with the icemaker, and now the back of the refrigerator has started to rust and ice up. This has caused the water line on the back of the refrigerator to freeze. I contacted Frigidaire customer service and explained in detail what I was experiencing and that I had pictures that I would be happy to upload for them. They sent a service technician out and he explained that the insulation in the refrigerator had broken down, and that this was a known issue caused by a manufacturing defect. So, even though they knew based upon the information I provided them, that the refrigerator was unrepairable they charged me for a service call. Bottom line, after 7 years of service my $2000 plus refrigerator now needs to be tossed. With the average life of a refrigerator being between 14 and 17 years I find this unacceptable.

Frigidaire has offered to give me a rebate of 10% towards the purchase of a new Frigidaire refrigerator. I find the 10% to be inadequate and laughable as it cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts. The big box retailers typically offer discounts that are higher than 10%. After contacting Frigidaire I was told that they do repairs first instead of swapping out anything. After two weeks of waiting on the repair guy to come and tell us that he has to drill a hole here in there for it to actually stay cool. He was very helpful and was telling us we needed a new refrigerator. Because it’s brand new it was nonsense to have a broken down new refrigerator five months into purchasing.

I have been calling and calling Frigidaire customer service For four weeks now, four weeks no refrigerator replace. They actually want me to go through another person to repair my refrigerator after sending the first repairman. It’s not like I want my money back or something. That was not possible. The only thing I ask for instead of going through repairman at the repairman why can’t I just get a credit sent over to Lowe’s store just to swap out refrigerators. A paying customer purchased a brand new refrigerator just wanting to swap Out refrigerators and not go through repairs. Remind you it’s almost a month without a refrigerator just because refrigerator wants me to go through repairs before anything else. Disappointed and sad. I just need a refrigerator.

I purchased this appliance at a large home store; it arrived and was installed with no issues. However, as I began to use it, it would get very cold (less than 32 degrees F) so I could turn it up/warmer, then it would get too warm (over 45 degrees F.) and it wouldn't stay adjusted well, plus the door gasket was a little wonky. So I contacted the company. They sent out a rep who did some work. Then it kept doing the same thing again. Again I contacted the company. They sent out someone. He did another repair. Again, it did the same thing; again I contacted the company, but this time I told them I had a lemon and that they needed to replace it. They said they did not do that and that they'd send out a person to repair. Again, their repair person came. Again, the repair did not work. So I had to contact our state attorney general and file a complaint.

Once the AG contacted Frigidaire, they agreed to give me a new refrigerator (you're the one who contacted a lawyer they said when I called them to set up delivery.) It was obvious, though, when I had called their corporate folks they weren't about to help me. I was 'stuck' with their appliance even if it was defective. But, after I had the AG contact them, they did replace it. However, the same issues has occurred. It is quite sad to spend $800 on something and it not work. And now i'm just having to watch the thermometer I have in it every day and adjust to avoid things over cold holding temps or freezing my food. The unit is a stainless steel smudge proof top freezer. I had so hoped it would work well but now...well i'm just stuck.

I spent over $600 for a NEW Frigidaire Refrigerator. While it is one of the less expensive models, the name Frigidaire has always been a selling point for making quality products. This is no longer the case! The retailer sent a serviceman to check the machine. I was told that the compressor was bad and he left it disconnected and told me to not plug it in again. Upon reflection, I am suspicious that there were other issues that made the unit UNSAFE to operate. I asked the retailer about replacing the refrigerator with a "like or better" refrigerator. One of the "head" guys said he would ask the manufacturer to start a return ticket, but that they "would take care of it". The repairman then said it could be "fixed" but the part would need to be ordered and that would take 24-to-48 hours.

I asked the head of the service department (another person) to email me with the status (did not happen). I purchased ice chests thinking that my food would be safe to store for a couple of days. NOT. Apparently, it will take WEEKS to repair the unit. In the mean time, ALL OF MY FOOD just purchased will spoil and rot. According to the WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, a product MUST DO what it is intended to do. In this case, keep frozen food frozen and refrigerate foods needing cold food storage. This is a defective product and the stated limits of warranty, i.e., not being responsible for food loss due to the product's failure, CANNOT STAND.

The manufacturer is RESPONSIBLE for food loss. PERIOD. Take them to small claims court. It is easy. If you do not have the money for a lawyer, you can file "in pauperis" and get advice from a legal aid service in your community. Most consumers are reluctant to pursue compensation justice. I contacted one of the companies they suggested, who confirmed that the fridge failed due to manufacturer defect and was irreparable. The service tech sent a report to Frigidaire stating this, but instead of replacing my fridge or refunding the purchase price, they said that all they could do was offer a 40% discount if I would purchase another Frigidaire fridge of equal or lesser value.

After speaking to numerous people they eventually offered a 60% discount, but remained firm that I would have to purchase another Frigidaire out of my own pocket, then after a few weeks they would rebate the percentage. During a time when many large companies are stepping up to show humanity and compassion during this nationwide crisis, Frigidaire is choosing to do the exact opposite. The very least they should do is stand behind their product & take responsibility when it fails. Instead, they are leaving me and my child to suffer for their mistake. I purchased the Frigidaire brand because my home had existing appliances by them, but I will never again waste my money on Frigidaire & I will spend the rest of my life discouraging others from doing so as well due to the extreme negativity of this experience. Very loud pop noise from these refrigerators. Many others have complained, check the internet. I believe when the compressor kicks on it causes the pop, and sometimes several pops. Enough to be heard upstairs, and it'll startle you. Even under warranty and clearly showed him a video, they pointed to small print that noise is normal, I called BS. I just didn't want to hassle it. Now I'm just irritated and filing this complaint. There's a fix I showed them, they (service company) ignored it and said it was dated. Even though other people have it repaired under that repair bulletin. I think it's legal action time now. Also Howard's Appliance in Covina didn't follow up, just passed the buck to the extended waranty company.

I purchased a top-freezer refrigerator (model LFTR2021TF) last September, 7 months ago, through Lowes, from Frigidaire, in which the compressor has failed already making the entire thing a piece of junk after less than a year. I have never owned any other product in my 66 years that has had a compressor failure, including the previous fridge that was almost 30 years old when I finally had to replace it. This is completely unacceptable in a 21st century product (I am a retired engineer) and I declare vendetta on frigidaire; I will never buy another product from them and recommend everyone do the same.

Bought a new refrigerator (Model #FGHB2868TF4) less than 10 months ago and the compressor went out. It will be at least 14 days until they complete the repair by replacing the compressor. Given this time frame I had no choice but to purchase another unit (shame on me for buying Frigidaire again). I was thinking someone reasonable would have offered more than $100 toward the purchase given their inability to effect a quick repair. Especially since there is no such thing as eating out under current conditions and who can afford to eat out every day anyway. Never own anything from this company again.

Last year my wife and I replaced a fairly new Kenmore refrigerator that was in the house we purchased when the condenser broke (more expensive to replace that worth it). We researched brands that did not have all the bells and whistles, just a basic side by side. We landed on Frigidaire from Home Depot. Even bought the extended warranty.

7 months later the ice maker started to make a whining noise. Called Frigidaire and scheduled an outside technician to come out. He did and immediately informed me that the “lines need to be blown out with nitrogen, but that it was too expensive and besides Frigidaire was a crap brand” and left. I called Frigidaire, explained that I was in shock at what he had said and that Frigidaire should probably not use them again. A new appointment was scheduled with a Frigidaire/Electrolux technician. Today he arrived and as my wife put away the pets, I explained the issue. Even played a recording of the noise. Immediately the tech told me that it is a known issue that I should have seen in the Owner's Manual. (Really?)

Who reads the Owners Manual before the purchase? Besides the sales folk at Home Depot don’t cover that info, they’re paid to push product out the door.

Again I called Frigidaire and after some back and forth with the frontline service rep, I was “Allowed” to speak with a supervisor. Who essentially told me the same thing. The onus was on the consumer to be aware of the manufacturer's faulty products before they buy. I am Gobsmacked and the sheer arrogance and the lack of interest Frigidaire has in regards to their reputation. DO NOT BUY A FRIGIDAIRE OR ELECTROLUX WITHOUT READING THE OWNER'S MANUAL FIRST. OMG, one of the worst companies ever when it comes to customer relations.

Bought a new Frigidaire refrigerator for approx. $2,800, model FPBG2278UF, delivered within one year from today and bought extended warranty as well. Within the 12-month manufacturer's warranty, the front wheels for both of the two fruit and vegetable drawers broke out of the plastic mounting device on the track (3 in total thus far). With the mounting device partially broken off, the wheels cannot be put back and new tracks that contain the mounting area for the wheels are required. Clearly a weakness in design by the manufacturer for a fairly expensive refrigerator with plastic mounting of the front wheels not designed to last any reasonable time during reasonable use of the fridge.

One would expect this to re-occur quickly given this weak design. Manufacturer's warranty does not cover it as this is considered a cosmetic damage and does not impair the cooling by the fridge. One wonders what else is considered cosmetic and not covered. Extended warranty doesn't cover it as well as it happened within the first year when the manufacturer's warranty is supposed to cover it. Beware of manufacturer's warranty, it's just "cosmetic" and doesn't mean anything.

We bought a fridge in November 2018. By August 2019 it broke down. Called customer service and they sent out a local repair company as the warranty was not up yet. They put on a new part and "fixed" it. Within a week it was down again. Called back and a different repair company was sent out. 2 service calls later they "fixed" it. Within weeks it went down again. Same company, same technician, even though I spent 1/2 and hour trying to get a different company/technician out. Came out, installed another piece. Guess what...within a month It went out again. By now we have had to throw out the food 3 times. Mind you this is all over the holidays. The only thing I can say positive is that even though the warranty expired in November they are still covering the repairs. Now it is it is March and we have not been able to keep the thing running more than a week, some times only hours, after the technicians have been out to fix it.

I have been told by at least 2 different customer service reps that they would replace the fridge because it is non-repairable. I never heard form them about setting up the replacement so I called them a few weeks after the last one told me they would replace it. Apparently it was denied 6 days before and I was not contacted by that division. The lady I talked to said they would have to send out another service call so that the technician can deem it non-repairable or repair it...again. I set up the call so that I could be there so my dad would not be exposed to anything since the country is all on quarantine, Thank heavens I called the service company to double check on the appointment because I would have waited all day for nothing. The customer service rep for Frigidaire never finalized thing on her end after telling me the appointment time frame. So I call Frigidaire again to see what happened.

I find they have record of me calling but no clue about any appointment request. This time the lady I talk to said that since it was out of warranty they would not replace it but will only cover part and labor. This fridge is less than 2 years old and we have only been able to use it about 9 months. I was told by one of the techs that the problem with the fridge is an inherent problem with this brand. If you value your money DO NOT BUY this brand.

I called service and you can only use Transglobal (which is another nightmare). It took about 2 weeks for the service guy to come in and determine what the problem was, then another 2 weeks for the parts to come in. This is now 1 month with a not fully functioning brand new refrigerator.

He came beginning of Feb to replace the parts. Only to determine that another part was needed (one side of the door!!!!) I called Electrolux to complain and request a new refrigerator be sent as opposed to all this waiting for mine to be fixed. I was told that Electrolux warranty will fix the refrigerator not replace it. The serviceman then told me they would order the door but what he didn't tell me was that while installing the other 2 parts the circuit blew out the power in the refrigerator. I did not know until the next morning when my freezer was leaking on my hardwood floors and everything in refrigerator and freezer had to be thrown out. I called to demand replacement of my groceries to both the service company TRANSGLOBAL and Electrolux each indicating that it was not their responsibility!!!!

We are now middle of March and I have not had a refrigerator at all for a MONTH. This is absolutely unheard of in this day and age. I spent 3,000 on a refrigerator and the last 3 months it has not been fully functioning. I have never been so disappointed in a product and I will never purchase an electrolux/frigidaire appliance and I will let everyone know not to as well.

How to fix a noisy Frigidaire fridge. Bought 1 new from Lowe's. Same day it was delivered I heard a loud humming noise. Called Lowe's, they said it would be a month before they can replace it. Everyday until the new fridge arrived I'd have to turn off then turn on the fridge to get the noise to stop. The new fridge arrived. Later that evening, I heard the same humming noise coming from behind the fridge.

FIX: I'm not an electrician or mechanic or even "handy". I just got tired of the damn noise. *Do not do this if you do not feel comfortable working in and around exposed wires.* While the fridge is making the noise, remove the lower panel behind the fridge. Should be 3 or 4 screws holding it in place. You'll see in the bottom left a roundish looking device. That's the compressor. Next to mine is a plastic box almost touching the compressor. Whenever the compressor would kick on, it would vibrate this box, which sounds like a "humming" noise. Brace the plastic box by putting something between the compressor and plastic box. Could possibly use duct tape to tape the box to the compressor. I didn't look, but there's probably a screw securing the plastic box that has come loose. I hope this helps.

So disappointed with Frigidaire. I have a fridge for 5 yrs only, and today we noticed there is a condensation and malfunction (factory issue) of the ice maker. I had my refrigerator registered with Frigidaire and no notice was given to me. They had a class action, provided repair kits and now, just because it is closed and I didn't do it during the class action - which I had no way and was never informed that was an issue - they don't have repair kits. All they can offer now is a rebate of 20%.

I have 4 appliances with them, registered and when there is a factory issue they don't mind letting me know and now they don't stand for their product? A refrigerator should last 10, 15 yer. I have to replace in 5 yrs, all I get is 20% rebate? Shouldn't they stand by their product and their mistake and help me with at least half of a lifetime of a refrigerator? So half of my cost now?? They not only had a manufacturer issue and to avoid more issues they settle on a class action but they didn't bother to send an email for the registered customers that had the same refrigerator, advising of the issue. What were they waiting? For a leak to happen so I could figure out?

Shame on Frigidaire, so disappointed. Not worth staying with them. Ah, and when I called to complain - not to mentioned that I paid for a technician to come over and repair and there was nothing to do so I just lost money, the rep that helped me said there was nothing to do. Before hang up I decided to call a supervisor and then, he said there was a rebate. How come the rep doesn't know? How many people called and never got to the rebate offer? We never heard a thing or for a follow up call for two and a half months. So, I contacted them again. They sent another contractor out.

We got a copy of the invoice. Frigidaire is covering the purchase of TAPE to be placed over the crack. The invoice was for $411.00. So, be warned; if you’re going to purchase the extended warranty plan, just be prepared. I then started to notice that food placed in the freezer was not freezing up very well and ice cream was runny. Food that had been bought frozen and put in the freezer was slowly thawing.

I initially called the company I bought it from and they sent out a technician. He looked at it and stated that he'd be calling in his report on what he found. I never heard back from anyone. I then called Frigidaire service directly. They sent out a technician the following week. He declared that the controls were stuck in "defrost" mode. He replaced the controls and left. After 48 hours I checked the temp in the refrig. and freezer sections and neither had improved...refrigerator at 50 and freezer at 42. I call Frigidaire service again and was told that it could need a new gasket which they would order to be mailed to me. It should arrive in 7-10 days!!!! Then they said to go ahead and install it myself. I told them "No Way" because I'm pretty sure that would be in violation of the 1 year warranty. So, now I have to wait for 7-10 days for the gasket to arrive and then call them again to schedule a repair technician to come over again.

I feel like I'm going to have on-going problems with this refrigerator and after the 1 year warranty I'll have to junk it and buy another one. I'm very disappointed as this appliance was not cheap; it was a lot of money for me to shell out. I Will never buy another Frigidaire; I'm done. The poor insulation at the back of the Frigidaire Gallery French Door Bottom Freezer is an Electrolux/Frigidaire known issue for those units manufactured between 2013 and 2018. At first they thought it was an ice maker issue and a class action suit was brought against Frigidaire for them. They replaced those icemaker units that were on warranty, but those that weren’t were at the owner’s expense. A few years later, it was realized that the cause of the ice maker issue was actually due to a lack of insulation at the back of the unit. They tried to fix it by sending out a bandaid insulation piece that was inserted at the back of the icemaker. Unfortunately, this did not work. It was then discovered that rust was appearing on the outside back of the refrigerator due to condensation. In fact, my unit has almost rusted all the way through and my unit is only 5 years old.

My husband contacted a repairman when my ice maker stopped working two years ago. At that time, a new ice maker was installed and it seemed to work fine. Two months ago, it stopped working once again. I contacted a different repairman and he determined that I once again needed a new ice maker which he ordered for me and came to install one week later.

Prior to installing, he looked at the back of my refrigerator and found the rust and said we shouldn’t install the new ice maker because the same thing would happen. When he removed my old ice maker to look at it, it was jam packed with solid ice inside of the motor. The repairman told me to call Electrolux and charged me $100. I then called Electrolux customer service and they said I needed to call an Electrolux “certified” repairman and he needed to call in the issue to their Technical group, so I did and this cost me another $75 for them to call an Electrolux phone number and give them the serial number of my unit, and for him to tell me that there is no fix for the problem and the Electrolux would call me back in 7-10 days and tell me what they could do for me.

Ten days later, I received a letter from them stating that they would rebate me a whole 10% towards the purchase of a new Frigidaire refrigerator of equal or less value. After about 12 attempts to reach their customer service to express my disappointment with their offer, I finally reached a live human being and asked for a manager, who was able to increase my rebate up to 20%. This is so unacceptable in my book.

I began shopping for a new refrigerator and spoke with the salesman at the store. He was very aware of the issues happening with the Frigidaire Gallery French Door Refrigerators and began to tell me some other stories that other customers experienced and how mad they were at the a Electrolux company. I asked the salesman if I did order another Gallery refrigerator, how could I ensure that I was getting one that was manufactured after the issue was fixed in 2018. He said there was no way to be sure. It finally hit me that I was not thinking straight and thought why would I buy another Frigidaire refrigerator for a 20% rebate ($360), when the same problem was probably going to happen again and Electrolux was not going to take care of it. I’m now looking at buying another brand.

The repairman said that this happens, and ice forms in the icemaker mechanism preventing it from working with 3 years of this model made in Mexico. He said Frigidaire tried 2 fixes for it, neither of which worked and that our model is poorly engineered and unrepairable.

Frigidaire has offered us a 10% on a new refrigerator. Not even close for us. We want to purchase appliances that last 20 to 30 years. We have lost all faith in Frigidaire refrigerators and would never purchase another one at this point at any price. Our recommendation is to take the extended warranty if you buy one, and hope they give you a new fridge if yours fails!

Frigidaire Side by Side Poor Excuse for Freezer Drawers Plus. The two drawers at the bottom of the freezer are made of thin plastic and when they contract with the cold they fall right out of their tracks spilling all contents out all over. No matter how light the load, they don't live up to their purpose. In addition, there is no cage around the air/moisture circulator in the refrigerator and if a mustard jar or salad dressing bottle ends up against it, the entire interior fills up with moisture and ruins food like vegetables in their crisp drawer. The company wants $100 a piece for replacement drawers that never worked to begin with due to poor design function. And there was no solution offered for the vent issue. They don't seem to value their customers enough to correct the problems.

This refrigerator is less that two years old. First I don't put very The heavy pots in my fridge, the side shelves broke off. One by one where I keep sauce, dressings, bacon. Next the bottom drawer plastic frame cracked. I use duct tape to hold it together, then one day I dropped a baby bottle on the bottom of the fridge and it cracked.
