About Zealthy

Zealthy is an online health care platform where patients can receive primary care and prescription medications from licensed providers. The company provides a variety of services like mental health, birth control and skincare, but it’s mainly known for connecting patients with weight loss drugs. Patients can access both brand name and compounded GLP-1s without having to meet with a doctor.

Pros
  • Access brand name GLP-1s and compounded drugs
  • Insurance accepted
  • Prescriptions available without meeting with a provider
  • Discounts for noninsured patients
Cons
  • Monthly membership fee required
  • Not available in all states

What is Zealthy?

Zealthy is a virtual health care provider that’s been in business since 2023. It offers prescription drugs and telehealth appointments for services like mental health, primary care, erectile dysfunction, birth control and skincare.

However, it primarily serves patients seeking prescription weight loss solutions. The company provides care in 34 states and has medication options for those with and without insurance.

How does Zealthy work?

You must have a Zealthy membership to receive prescription weight loss drugs. This membership gives you access to unlimited chat and messaging with a weight loss coach and insurance coordinator, as well as a monthly video or phone visit with your provider.

  • Step 1: To sign up, you must verify your identity and complete a questionnaire about your medical history and weight loss goals.
  • Step 2: A provider will review your information within one to two days, and then contact you with treatment options if you’re eligible.
  • Step 3: Once you have a prescription, a coordinator will review your insurance coverage, submit a preauthorization request and assist with payment. Patients without insurance can access affordable, compounded alternatives. Your coordinator then works with partnering pharmacies to get your prescription shipped directly to your home, typically within nine business days.

You can cancel your membership at any time, and you won’t be charged for the following month. Refunds are not available for prescription drugs or membership fees you’ve already paid.

Zealthy weight loss medications

Zealthy primarily prescribes glucagon-like peptide-1 agonists (GLP-1s) for weight loss. These drugs were originally developed to treat type 2 diabetes, but are also approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat obesity. GLP-1s work by managing glucose levels and are most commonly self-administered by subcutaneous injection.

With insurance, patients may have access to brand name GLP-1s like:

  • Ozempic
  • Zepbound
  • Wegovy
  • Mounjaro

If you don't have insurance coverage or if these drugs aren’t covered by your plan, you’ll be prescribed a compounded drug. Compounded drugs are made with the same active ingredient as name brands, but are not FDA-approved. Options include:

  • Compounded semaglutide, the main active ingredient in Wegovy and Ozempic.
  • Compounded tirzepatide, the main active ingredient in Zepbound and Mounjaro.

The only other medication that may be prescribed is metformin, another type 2 diabetes drug that helps regulate blood sugar levels.

Zealthy cost

There are two associated costs when using Zealthy: membership fees and medications.

  • Membership fees: A weight loss membership costs $135 per month. You receive one-on-one coaching, access to medication and help with prescription coverage. The only medication included with this fee is metformin; all others must be paid for separately.
  • Medications: Members are responsible for paying the cost of their medication.
    • Brand-name drugs: When covered by insurance, drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy can cost as little as $25 per month or whatever your prescription copay is.
    • Compounded drugs: Compounded semaglutide costs $151 per month, and compounded tirzepatide $216 per month when you purchase a three-month supply.

Patients without insurance can also bundle their membership and medication costs. A bundled membership with semaglutide costs $217 for the first month and $297 every month after, and with tirzepatide is $349 for the first month and $449 every month after.

Is Zealthy legit?

Yes, Zealthy is a legitimate company that employs board-certified clinicians and coaches. It also offers a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, so if you’re found to be ineligible for weight loss drugs, you can get a full refund.

In addition, the company only works with pharmacies that have been accredited by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), are LegitScript certified and it only uses FDA-registered manufacturers and distributors to source raw materials for its compounded drugs.

I started with the injectable Zepbound compound. It took about a month before anything happened. When I increased my dose the first time the medication seemed to kick in. I did feel mildly, but manageably nauseous. Right away I had an aversion to my 3 cups of coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. Also, my meal intake became less. Within the first two weeks on the higher dose I lost about 6 pounds. Now, at the end of my third week I am about 9 pounds less than about a month or so ago. I feel great. The mild nausea is still there, but not to the point where it keeps me from doing normal work and daily activities. I plan to stick with it until I reach my desired goal and am thrilled that the weight loss has finally begun.

I am so happy with Zealthy! I was really hesitant at first… but the process was pretty quick and easy. I even asked Gemini to tell me of Zealthy was the real deal before I purchased. I was approved for Semaglutide and am seeing great results! The cost is fair. It arrived within a few days and was packaged very well and very cold. I started at 222 pounds and currently weigh 207! I am part way through week 5. I will be reordering!

So far my experience has been very good. This is my first week and anytime I need information it is readily available. I personally know people who have been on similar plans and have lost the weight they need to lose. The injections are very easy to administer so after doing the injection you just go about your day. Give this a try. You won’t be disappointed.

This company is a scam! They are 1000% fraudulent. They go by multiple names, like fitrx or firxapp, as a way to scam people. They falsely advertise their prices. If you request to cancel they never actually cancel you and continue to charge your account hundreds of dollars. They don’t actually deliver any product they promise to. This is a FAKE glp1 and weight loss company. RUN!!! Pick literally any other site that has nothing to do with this company. They intend to do nothing except steal your money

1 star. Serious medication safety issue. I disclosed my medication allergy in the intake paperwork, but Zealthy still prescribed me a medication I am allergic to. I have opened four support tickets and called customer support multiple times, but the issue has not been resolved for over two months. During my last call, the representative disconnected, and when I called back, the call was disconnected again. This is unacceptable for a healthcare service. Allergies should be taken seriously, and customers should receive timely support for medication safety issues.
