Pros
  • Medication included with membership fee
  • Fast approval and shipping
  • Unlimited provider consultations
  • No contract required
  • Money-back guarantee
Cons
  • Doesn't accept insurance
  • Branded tirzepatide not available

How does MEDVi work?

To get weight loss drugs from MEDVi, you must sign up for a monthly membership:

  • Step 1: Complete an online evaluation that includes your health history, weight loss goals and contact information.
  • Step 2: Choose your medication and enter payment details. Prescriptions can be delivered to your home within 24 hours of approval, or you can request a telehealth appointment to speak with a provider first. Appointments are typically scheduled within two to three days, though same-day consultations may be available.
  • Step 3: After you check out, a board-certified physician will review and approve your prescription. You’ll receive shipping and tracking info within two business days, and receive your prescription within eight to nine days.

With your membership, you get 24/7 messaging support and unlimited access to MEDVi’s patient care team for questions about your progress, side effects or dosage. At the end of each month, you’ll need to fill out a refill form and pay the next month’s membership fee to continue getting your medication. You can cancel your membership at any time, but you can’t receive refunds on prescription products.

MEDVi weight loss medications

MEDVi prescribes glucagon-like peptide-1 agonists (GLP-1s) and dual GLP-1/GIP receptor agonists, available as injections or once-daily tablets. These medications mimic the effects of GLP-1, a gut hormone involved in appetite and blood sugar regulation, helping slow digestion and increase feelings of fullness. The company primarily prescribes compounded GLP-1s, but some branded drugs are available.

Weight loss medications available:

  • Compounded semaglutide, injection or tablet
  • Compounded tirzepatide, injection or tablet
  • Wegovy, injection or tablet
  • Zepbound, injection only

Compounded medications are made with the same active ingredient as branded drugs, but they are not Food and Drug Administration-approved. MEDVi sources its compounded GLP-1 drugs from Belmar Pharma Solutions.

MEDVi cost

Membership costs start with a discounted introductory rate and then increase for the subsequent months. All services and products from MEDVi must be paid out of pocket; the company does not bill insurance. • Compounded semaglutide injections: Start at $179 for the first month and go up to $299 for the following months.
  • Compounded semaglutide tablets: Start at $249 for the first month and go up to $369 for the following months.

  • One-on-one counseling
  • Metabolic report

The MEDVi weight loss program combines prescription GLP-1 medication with ongoing clinical support. The program also includes ongoing guidance and support, with access to appointments and messaging as needed.

Does MEDVi have a membership fee?

Yes, MEDVi requires a monthly membership fee, which includes the cost of your medication and unlimited messaging and telehealth visits with a provider.

Where is MEDVi available?

MEDVi is available in every state except North Dakota. Patients in Kansas, Indiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma and West Virginia are required to meet with a provider before they can be prescribed weight loss drugs. Patients in Alabama and California can only be shipped injectable GLP-1s, not tablets, per state law.

What do I do if my MEDVi medication isn’t working?

If your MEDVi medication doesn’t seem to be working, reach out to the company and request a doctor consultation. You can review your lifestyle habits and medication dosage to ensure you’re getting the most out of your MEDVi prescription.

If you can demonstrate that you haven’t lost weight after following MEDVi’s program for at least five months, you’ll be eligible for a refund, minus a 25% doctor consultation fee.

How much does MEDVi charge for tirzepatide?

The starting price for tirzepatide through MEDVi is $279. After the first month, the price increases to $399.

Still have questions?

Is MEDVi legit?

Yes, MEDVi is a legitimate company. MEDVi is LegitScript certified, meaning it’s regularly monitored, meets transparency standards and complies with all applicable state and federal laws. It also stands behind its products and services with a money-back guarantee.

“What really stood out to me was how much they actually cared about safety and medical responsibility,” Salvatore shared in a ConsumerAffairs review. “When I originally asked for a dosage increase, they did NOT automatically give me what I wanted just because I was paying for the service. In fact, because I had already lost a significant amount of weight and my BMI had dropped considerably, they refused to increase my dosage and instead lowered me to a maintenance dose for safety reasons.”

While many reviews mention being happy with MEDVi’s customer service and guidance throughout their weight loss journey, some report issues with payments and cancellations.

“I was told by multiple reps and a provider there was a money-back guarantee of up to 75% of what I paid …  just to be told in the end they had just changed the policy,” said ConsumerAffairs reviewer, Jaxson. “Instead of addressing my concerns, they cancelled my subscription without discussing it with me first.”

I signed up with MEDVi at the end of September 2026. My experience has been very positive. I wanted to lose about 25 pounds. I only have 4 more pounds to go before I reach my goal weight. I plan on taking Semaglutide at a maintenance level once I reach my desired weight. My blood pressure and cholesterol readings are both down. I do work-out 6 days a week and try to eat healthy on a daily basis. I have telephoned and emailed customer service a few times with no issues. My prescriptions arrive on time. I do make sure to fill out the monthly intake form right away so the doctor can send the prescription to the pharmacy. Thanks MEDVi!!

Have been very pleased with Medvi. I had a small hiccup with my order in the beginning but they rectified it immediately. The coaches have been very helpful and provided much insight for my success. I started my journey weighing in at 154lbs in December, and I’m currently 127lb in June. I’ve felt a little nausea and some tiredness but that was only minor compared to how great I look and feel now. I would highly recommend recommend this program to anyone who like me had difficulty losing weight with conventional diets.

I got the product without the frozen ice block, left on the Florida sun, product was hot. I called Medvi, a certified medical assistant called Amanda, refused replacement, stating that Tirzepatide has 2 weeks shelf life. So pretty much scam company; if you are already buying this out of pocket, get it from somewhere cheaper. This is 400$ a month. They just lost a customer because Amanda wanted to fight.

Avoid these guys like the plague. Initial medication was ineffective so they suggested a change to another medication. When I received the next invoice, it was $100 more. When I called to complain, they then told me the new medication cost more. This medication was also did not work as advertised, so I called to cancel. I was told I had already paid for 3 more shipments and my cancellation would take effect after those shipments arrived. I was assured there would be no further charges. I received notice of another shipment and another $399 charge. When I contacted them to fix the issue, they stated our policy is to not issue refunds after medication has shipped. MEDVI was the biggest waste of money and they treated me poorly.

One star. If you need your medication on a schedule, look elsewhere. This is the second month in a row MEDVi has failed to deliver my refrigerated medication on time. I contacted them repeatedly in advance of this shipment specifically to avoid the problem, and I was assured each time it would arrive before I left for an overseas trip. On a Friday I received written confirmation of Saturday delivery. Only afterward was I told the pharmacy does not ship cold orders on Fridays, which means the confirmation I was given was never accurate.

Since then I have gone through four different representatives in under a week. Every reply says my request has been forwarded or escalated. Not one has given me a ship date or a delivery date. When I asked them to commit to a specific day, I was told delivery dates cannot be guaranteed. For a temperature-sensitive prescription that has to be taken on a set schedule, that is not an acceptable answer. I have also asked three times for a supervisor and twice for compensation. Neither request has been acknowledged. Other providers ship this same medication reliably and for meaningfully less money. If a company cannot get medication to patients on time, it should not be selling it.

The last shipment was sent again to the wrong address and when I called about the last shipment I was told that the medicine would be canceled but the $119 will still be charged, since it is a subscription. Tried their Tirzepitide plan. Tried pills and injectables; didn't lose any weight, really even changed diet. Tried to increase dosage; still didn't work. Called in and cancelled after they kept increasing the price to 400 for a single month, then two months later got another charge for 400 to my account. They then tell me I never canceled but have no real reason why they didn't charge me the previous month. And then won't refund my money and tell me they can just send me more medication that doesn't work. Absolutely terrible company to work with and do business with; definitely will be filing a complaint with BBB.

Medvi is quick to provide GLP-1 meds to anyone that asks. If it goes south, as it did for me they are also quick to ghost. I was sick for five days. I requested nausea medication, which they agreed to send to my pharmacy. They did not. Now I know why - they have no doctors. I requested my account be canceled and a refund issues - and now they're nowhere. Anyone considering Medvi should read this article in Drug Discover & Development published on April 24, 2026 titled, “Fake testimonials, no pharmacy and an FDA warning: how Medvi built a $1.8 billion telehealth company in the gaps between regulators”: Fake testimonials, no pharmacy and an FDA warning (**).

Run from this company. I used them for 9 months. They sink the hook in with the "subscriptions." The process is you fill a prescription form out and meet with a nurse practitioner and/or they just review your refill request and then approve the script and it is mailed out. I had a week before I needed to fill and I got invoiced. I immediately called in and got a very hostile support person stating she couldn't refund didn't I know what a subscription was? I used chat and still was denied...Mind you no medication has been shipped at this point. I still have a week's dose on current shipment. But they won't refund...They hide behind website terms and conditions but NOTHING in your patient portal states a billing date for you to be aware of this magical date that billing automatically hits whether you have an approved refill or not.

Going on 3 months now, no changes in my cravings or hunger, no changes in my weight. First month was $149, second and third month were $299.00. I received emails telling me that it was time to request a refill each month, but I never sent the request, but I was charged and the medication came anyway (seems fishy?). I had no follow up on how the medication was working or questions about my experience or health or asking if I had any questions. The approval from their "pharmacist" was approved on the same day I signed up. Shipping was super-fast!

For the third shipment, I got an email stating it was time for a refill and to send a request. I immediately called to ask them to hold off on the last shipment, they said they couldn't cancel and it would ship out anyway. It was 3 weeks earlier than I needed it. But they didn't care. I asked to speak with a supervisor, they said there were none available and after insisting for a few minutes that I speak with one, finally they said they would have a supervisor call me within 48 hours. That never happened. I called later to cancel and they just tried to convince me not to cancel. It has been 10 days since I asked them to hold the last shipment, they charged me for it but I still have not received it. This was DEFINATELY a scam to me, and I spent $750 with NO RESULTS, and I only received 2 of the 3 shipments of Semaglutide. Frustratingly sad.

I tried it several times over three months and got the same results, actually worsening over time. I have scheduled a personal doctors appointment to be sure I have not damaged myself with this product in some way.

I was up last night and saw a charge come thru at midnight for a fourth 'reoccuring' product send. I immediately called to cancel the subscription. After getting thru the AI system block to a person they said they could cancel future orders (not sure I believe them - I have contacted CC company to block them), but could not refund my money for the charge I just saw less then 15 minutes earlier or stop product from shipping although he admitted it was not shipped yet. This is predatory and very much a well dress SCAM! DO NOT use this company for anything if you value your money and health.

I am extremely disappointed in this company. I signed up for the month to month and paid more instead of the subscription. I understood that if I did not fill out the request for a refill each month, I would not be billed. Well, I was wrong. They will bill you no matter what. Also, the last two months, I requested to reduce my dosage to get on maintenance since I had reached my weight goal and they refused. The doctor said I needed to continue the same dosage for another month. I am sure to keep me paying my monthly fee. Even though I told her I was experiencing dehydration regularly. So, they did not change my dosage. Well, I lost more weight than I wanted and continued to not feel good. I guess the lesson here is make sure you contact them and cancel, regardless of the plan you choose with them. I'm sure there are better companies out there that provide the same service and do not push the drugs without concern for the patient's symptoms.

When I attempted to call customer service, no one could give me any answers.

I have never written a review but this service is completely unacceptable and I would never recommend them to anyone. They are extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate of their customers. I have had to wait 4 days & counting for an update on my medication. After several calls & the same protocol answers, I’m forced to write this review. I would never recommend this group to anyone.

Updated on 06/27/2026: The customer service representative contacted me and promised to resolve the issue and refund my $400 for the medication that was never sent. I will update you if the refund is complete.

Original Review: I had a horrible experience with online telehealth clinic. I saw their ad for Tirzepatide for weight loss. I started corresponding with the company and I agreed on getting one month supply for around $145 and I specifically clarified vis email and during a phone call with their customer service that I don’t want to bu put on a monthly plan until I try the product and make sure it works fine for my body, First of all the medication didn’t do nothing on the I didn’t lose one pound during the month I used the injection. Moreover, It made me very lethargic and out of energy so I decided I am not ordering this thing again.

Surprisingly next month and despite me request not to be put on a monthly plan my account was deducted for $400 bucks (which is double the advertised price) without my permission and when I tried to contact Medvi customer service they were very hostile, unprofessional and she refused to offer any solutions or even cancel my subscription. They charge me for $400 and didn’t even send the medication !!!! So I was charged for nothing. I tried to call them to resolve this matter with no response whatsoever. So my whole experience was a nightmare, this company is a scam. Watch out and be very careful, I don’t recommend dealing with them at all.

My experience with MEDVi, so everyone is aware. I ordered a 3-month weight loss medication package and received deliveries in March and April 2026. However, I never received the May shipment. At the time, I was reassessing whether the medication was beneficial for me, so I did not follow up on the missing delivery. On June 10, 2026, I received a debit alert showing I had been charged for another 3-month billing cycle (June–September 2026). I immediately contacted customer service to cancel, as I no longer needed the service.

The first representative told me the new billing cycle had been canceled and encouraged me to order the final medication shipment from the package I had already paid for in March, which I did. However, when I logged into my account after the call, I noticed it still showed as active until September 2, 2026. I called back and spoke with another representative, who told me he could only cancel the last two months of the subscription but could not cancel the new 3-month billing cycle that had just been charged, despite the fact that I had not used the service. I requested to speak with a manager, but instead of being transferred, a support ticket was created and I was told someone would contact me. Unfortunately, the follow-up was not helpful in any way, and my concerns remained unresolved. Based on my experience, I found the company’s billing and cancellation practices extremely frustrating and concerning.

I chose MEDVi after researching numerous GLP-1 providers. The medication was effective, and over approximately 8 months I lost 25 pounds. For that, I am grateful. Unfortunately, my experience changed when the formulation of my medication was changed without my knowledge. After months of using the same compounded medication without issue, I had an adverse reaction to a new vial. During a telehealth visit, I was instructed by a provider to stop using the medication and dispose of the vial, and I was told a replacement would be sent. Because I trusted the provider and the company, I followed those instructions. It never occurred to me to ask whether I would later be responsible for the cost of medication I had been medically advised not to use. The medication worked, but the way this situation was handled ultimately led me to seek treatment elsewhere.

For anyone considering MEDVi, I encourage you to ask detailed questions before starting treatment:

      • Will you be notified if your medication formulation changes?
      • What happens if you have an adverse reaction?
      • If a provider instructs you to dispose of a medication, are you still responsible for the cost?

      • How are disputes regarding provider instructions handled?

One final consideration is cost. While MEDVi does not charge a monthly membership fee, it was one of the more expensive options I found. Over the course of treatment, I invested more than $3,000 in my care. I would encourage prospective patients to compare providers carefully and evaluate not only pricing, but also policies, communication, and customer support. My intention is not to discourage anyone from using MEDVi, but to help others make a fully informed decision.

Don't do it. Supposed to be 179 a month, they charge me almost 3000.00 in 4 months. When I called to straighten it out, of course, no supervisor was around, and they said they can't send me a credit till after the next billing cycle. I'm furious. I don't have time for this. If they can't do their job without me calling all the time, what good is the service?

Rethink your decision. I have been a customer since November and let’s be honest, this stuff is not cheap. My meds was shipped on Friday and was supposed to receive on Saturday, but wasn’t delivered until Monday. The ice pack and meds was hot. I put a thermometer on the ice pack and the temperature registered at 82 degrees. Called immediately on Monday when received and didn’t get response until Wednesday, which is their “approved policy timeframe”. Seems keeping medication cold is not necessary even though must be stored in refrigerator. They used the term “temporary warm” is totally acceptable and told me to use the meds. The ice pack and meds was not “temporary warm” (their way to justify not rectifying the situation), it was hot. When we pay the money we do, feel the meds should be 100% viable with no questions. I do not think it is safe to take the meds and not worth risking it. Just love wasting money. Beware everyone.

I had a very frustrating experience with Medvi. I was led to believe this was not a subscription, but I was charged every month afterward. When I tried to resolve the issue and request a refund, I was told refunds would not be provided. The lack of clarity around recurring billing and the refusal to refund charges made the experience feel misleading and unfair. Customers should be clearly informed upfront if they are enrolling in a monthly subscription, how much they will be charged, and exactly how cancellation and refunds work. I would not recommend Medvi to anyone who wants transparent billing or responsive customer support. Also they charge you more each month without notice. The medication does not work at all. They have also received a warning letter from the FDA **.

Run away - this is a scam. They duplicate your order without your consent and say it was your responsibility to cancel in the fine print - they never called or followed up with a medical appointment to even ask how I was doing. When I saw that they charged my credit card I called immediately and was told that I should of Called a few hours ago but it was too late. I said has it been sent and they said no. I said then don't send it. They said they wouldn't send it but they would not refund me. I told them on four different occasion not to send it and I still don't have the product I don't want but they still refuse to refund me. Total rip off.

The meds are not the same strength and they do a bait and switch. The meds are 400 per month not the 199 or 129 advertised. It is nearly impossible to stop the order and they will charge cans not send the meds. I asked to cancel in April and have been charged twice since now with no meds sent because according to them I cancelled.
