The company is LegitScript certified, meaning it’s regularly monitored, meets transparency standards and complies with all applicable state and federal laws.

How does MEDVi work?

To get weight loss drugs from MEDVi, you must sign up for a monthly membership:

  • Step 1: Complete an online evaluation that includes your health history, weight loss goals and contact information.
  • Step 2: Choose your medication and enter payment details. Prescriptions can be delivered to your home within 24 hours of approval, or you can request a telehealth appointment to speak with a provider first. Appointments are typically scheduled within two to three days, though same-day consultations may be available.

With your membership, you get 24/7 messaging support and unlimited access to MEDVi’s patient care team for questions about your progress, side effects or dosage. You can cancel your membership at any time, but you can’t receive refunds on prescription products.

MEDVi weight loss medications

MEDVi prescribes glucagon-like peptide-1 agonists (GLP-1s) and dual GLP-1/GIP receptor agonists, available as an injection or tablet. These medications mimic the effects of GLP-1, a gut hormone involved in appetite and blood sugar regulation, helping slow digestion and increase feelings of fullness. The company primarily prescribes compounded GLP-1s, but some branded drugs are available.

Weight loss medications available:

  • Compounded semaglutide, injection or tablet
  • Compounded tirzepatide, injection or tablet
  • Ozempic, injection only
  • Wegovy, injection only

Compounded medications are made with the same active ingredient as branded drugs, but they are not Food and Drug Administration-approved. MEDVi sources its compounded GLP-1 drugs from Belmar Pharma Solutions.

I normally do not write reviews, but after seeing so many mixed opinions online, I wanted to share my HONEST experience with MEDVi because my experience with them has been extremely positive from start to finish. I had absolutely no problems with MEDVi whatsoever. Every time I needed assistance or had questions, I was able to speak with an actual trained medical professional — not some random customer service person reading from a script. That alone gave me confidence in the company.

What really stood out to me was how much they actually cared about safety and medical responsibility. When I originally asked for a dosage increase, they did NOT automatically give me what I wanted just because I was paying for the service. In fact, because I had already lost a significant amount of weight and my BMI had dropped considerably, they refused to increase my dosage and instead lowered me to a maintenance dose for safety reasons.

Looking back, that says a LOT about this company. Many places today will simply increase doses as long as the money keeps coming in. MEDVi did the opposite. They prioritized my health and safety over profit, and I genuinely respect them for that.

    I followed their advice closely:
    - Exercised regularly
    - Ate healthier
    - Increased protein intake

    - Stayed consistent

Within just a few months, I lost a very significant amount of weight. I also never had a single issue with billing. No hidden fees, no surprise charges, no shady practices. Their pricing was exactly what they told me it would be. When I canceled before my next shipment, there was zero hassle and zero games.

At one point, my endocrinologist had me try oral weight loss pills from his office because they were cheaper than the injections. Unfortunately, the pills simply did not work as well for me personally. When I called MEDVi about restarting treatment, they STILL would not restart me immediately until I completed updated blood work first to make sure I was medically healthy enough to continue.

Again — that speaks volumes. If a company insists on updated labs before taking your money, that should give people confidence that they are operating responsibly and actually care about patient safety. For me personally, MEDVi has been professional, transparent, medically responsible, and highly effective. MEDVi all the way for me.

A little embarrassing to admit but I used to do my grocery shopping in two trips. Not because I bought too much or the bags were heavy. Because walking back to the car with a full cart across a large car park was genuinely tiring and splitting it up into two smaller trips felt easier than dealing with that. I had been doing it for almost two years without really acknowledging what it meant about where I was at physically. My husband came with me once and offered to take the cart back and I let him without explaining that I usually did two trips. That felt easier than the conversation.

I found MEDVi after a period where I had stopped trying to lose weight and started just trying to understand why my energy had changed so much over the previous few years. The consultation asked different questions than I expected. Not what I was eating or how much I was exercising but what tasks had started feeling harder, what I had quietly stopped doing, what a normal day actually looked like from an energy perspective. It felt like a useful inventory of things I had not admitted to anyone.

My husband was supportive in the early weeks in a way that mostly just added pressure so I stopped discussing it with him. He would ask if I had noticed anything and I would say not really and he would nod encouragingly and that would be worse somehow than if he had said nothing. Something shifted around the six week mark. My work trousers were noticeably looser and I had not been paying close attention to the scale so it surprised me when I checked. Around ten pounds at that point without having tracked it carefully.

Month three I did the grocery shopping in one trip. Loaded the cart completely, walked across the full car park to the car, loaded everything into the boot, walked back to return the cart, walked back to the car again. The whole thing. Did not register it as anything significant until I was on the motorway driving home and suddenly thought about the two trip system and realised I had not thought about it once while I was there. My husband still does not know the two trip thing was ever a thing. I have not told him. Some progress does not need an audience and some habits are better left unexplained.

I knew exactly which flights of stairs I avoided and exactly which ones I had no choice but to take. That mental map had built itself without my consciously constructing it. The parking garage at work, the two flights at my sister's building, the stairs at the train station where the elevator was usually broken. I had routes and contingencies and backup plans all organized around a limitation I had stopped questioning. My sister's building was where it happened. I had been visiting her every few weeks for three years and the two flights up to her apartment had their own routine. Slow start, pause at the landing, second slower half, arrive slightly winded and recover before knocking. That was just how those stairs worked.

I had been using MEDVi for several months before that visit. Getting started had involved a consultation that went deeper than previous attempts had ever bothered to go. A provider worked through my physical limitations, stamina levels, eating habits, emotional relationship with my own progress, and the full history of what I had tried before Semaglutide was prescribed at a low starting dose adjusted carefully over the following months. The measured approach felt right given how long the pattern had been building. Early weeks were slow and uncomfortable and I want to document that accurately. The stairs at my sister's building did not feel any different for the first month and I had to actively remind myself that something was accumulating even when nothing visible was changing.

The visit that changed things I almost missed entirely. I was at her door before I realized I had not paused at the landing. Had not thought about pacing, had not arrived winded, had not needed a moment before knocking. I stood there for a few seconds just registering what had not happened. Then I knocked and did not say anything about it because I needed to sit with it quietly for a while before sharing it with anyone. I have lost 30 lbs since starting. The stamina came back in increments too small to notice individually and then all at once in a moment on a staircase that I will not forget. Trusting that consistency was building something real during the months when nothing felt like it was changing turned out to be the hardest and most important part of the whole process.

There is a specific kind of exhaustion that comes from being present in body but absent in energy. I knew it well. Family outings had become something I managed rather than experienced. I was there physically, going through the motions, but a significant part of me was calculating how much longer before I could sit down, how much further before we could head back, how to pace myself through something that should not have required pacing at all. My kids had started checking on me in a way that children should not have to think about. That pattern was what finally made me do something. Not a doctor's visit, not a number on a scale, but watching my own family quietly adjust their plans around my limitations without saying anything about it.

I found MEDVi and the consultation was the first part of the process that felt genuinely different from previous attempts. A provider went through my energy levels, the physical limitations that had been accumulating, eating habits, emotional patterns, and the full history of what I had already tried. Semaglutide was prescribed at a low starting dose with gradual adjustments planned over the following months. The conversation felt diagnostic in a way that gave me confidence something real was being addressed.

First month was hard in ways I had not fully anticipated. Mild nausea in the early weeks made family evenings harder before they got easier. Progress was invisible long enough that my confidence wavered more than once. I stayed with it because the alternative was watching the pattern continue and I had seen enough of where that was heading.

The family outing that changed everything was not planned as a milestone. It was an ordinary Saturday. We were out longer than usual and somewhere in the middle of the afternoon I realized I had not thought once about sitting down or heading back. I was just there. Fully. Playing, laughing, present in a way I had been rationing for years without realizing the people around me had noticed. I have lost 33 lbs since starting. The energy came back in a way that changed what I could give to the people who matter most to me. That was the measure I had not known to set at the beginning and the one that ended up meaning everything.

I had stopped buying clothes that fit properly. Not consciously but the wardrobe had gradually shifted toward things that covered rather than fit, that were forgiving rather than flattering. I told myself it was a preference. Looking back it was accommodation dressed up as taste. I had been down this road before. Attempts that produced early results and then stalled, motivation that burned hot for a few weeks and then flickered out, a pattern of starting over often enough that starting again had lost most of its charge. I needed something that addressed why the pattern kept repeating rather than just pushing me through another version of it. A friend who had used MEDVi for six months was direct about her experience in a way that made me take it seriously. I booked the consultation the same week.

A provider went through my full history before anything was recommended. Eating habits, body image, the emotional side of the pattern, previous attempts and why they had not held. Semaglutide was prescribed at a low starting dose adjusted gradually over the following months based on how I responded. That the conversation went as deep as it did before anything was prescribed gave me confidence I was in the right place. Early weeks were slow and uncomfortable. Mild nausea, minimal visible progress, and enough doubt that I had to remind myself daily that I had committed to a real timeline this time. There were moments it felt like another attempt heading toward the same outcome.

The waistline moment came while getting dressed one morning. Something fit differently and I stood there long enough to actually register it. Definition that had been absent for years had quietly started returning. That visual shift landed in a way the scale had not quite managed and the motivation that followed felt different from the kind that burns out. It felt steadier. More grounded in something real. I have lost 32 lbs since starting. The physical change is visible in ways I notice every day. But what changed alongside it was how I treat the process itself. Less punishment, more patience. Less all or nothing, more showing up consistently without requiring perfection. That shift in approach was what made the difference between this attempt and every previous one.

On 5/10/2026, I contacted MEDVi customer service at 585-312-4226 and spoke with a representative who identified himself as Tyler **. I asked for MEDVi’s physical mailing address because I am disputing a charge from MEDVi on my credit card. The representative told me that MEDVi has “no physical address.” I am concerned that the company would not provide a physical address or mailing address for written communication, billing disputes, or formal correspondence. I am requesting that Consumer Affairs review this issue and require MEDVi to provide a valid physical mailing address and appropriate contact information for consumer complaints and billing disputes.

Steer clear from this company and its greedy money-making scam. They only have compounded GLP, which is not approved by the FDA, and the facility they use has been cited multiple times for violations regards to its methodologies. I was taking the pill form at 400 a month. On the 3rd month, I got an rash on face and neck from taking the pills. I was told to stop taking them. Even though there is data to show these adverse reactions to their compounded versions, they still continue to push them to customers. They know that their version of pill has low bioavailability absorption rates, which requires you to be on it for a long time to see any results. This means more money for them and higher risk to you. Be very careful about doing business with them. They say a money-back guarantee. This is a lie, as they did not refund my money after several requests.

At first I was impressed with the patient portal, check in virtual apts., and just knowing if I had any side effects I could contact Medvi to discuss. I took for 2 months and then my sister had a stroke so I got off track. Fast forward two months and I was going to start back up. I realized Medvi had charged me 399 x 2 months and never sent my script. When you need to contact them in relation to an issue with meds no problem. I had a very difficult time getting anyone to speak to me about the 800 charges and no pills. I ended up just canceling my account out of frustration but no one would discuss the fact that they charged me two months and never shipped anything. This is not a reputable business.

Horrendous customer service. They take you money and don't ship out medications. They send vague emails we are so sorry but it's just empty words. They are a scam and should be shut down. Over 280 complaints made against them with BBB. Buyer beware. They are scam artists. When you try to cancel they will give you some bs that it was done timely and keep your money. Good luck trying to get genuine answers from them.
