On November 12th, 2021, I took my son to a local Quest Diagnostics for a blood draw. Thinking that QD workers know what they’re doing, but I had no idea at the time, that the individual taking our info did not know what they were doing and mixed my insurance info up with his: The result being months of frustration and loss of my time. At first, I received a 4 figure QD bill in March which I thought was odd, since it was almost 5 months later. I called to see what the issue was, and was told that the BCBS claim was denied because my son’s info did not match their records. I explained that the person recording the info at the local QD location did seemed to be confused about my son’s birth date.
The rep at QD said that they would update the claim and it would get resubmitted go through – Four months later I received the same bill again much to my dismay, and once again contacted them to see if the issue could be resolved. This time, the QD rep told me that they had resubmitted the claim in March, but it was denied again, and it looked like the wrong info was once again submitted. So I gave the QD rep the info again, and same response – "We’ll get this taken care of for you." Liar. August 5th, 2022 – I just got a notice from a debt collector representing Quest Diagnostics. After the last QD contact, I had searched for negative reviews about QD. I was stunned at finding thousands of complaints on the BBB site and hundreds of more elsewhere.
Scrolling through the complaints, I immediately found many complaints like mine. Today, August 8th, 2022, I called BCBS for some updates on the claims that they were receiving from QD. I was told that there were NO submissions from Quest Diagnostics past last year – so basically QD did not even attempt to resubmit a claim, they just lied to me, which is more than negligent, malicious. I called QD an hour ago and once again, they took my update information again and told me that they would resubmit and it would be taken care of. Never happened. Now it's mid-September. 2022 and I am filing a lawsuit.

Quest billed my healthshare for labs drawn and my healthshare sent them the check. They are refusing to update my account or verify that the check was received. I have sent them all the documentation and proof I have, but they are still billing me directly. I have contacted customer service and they just run around in circles. They don't seem to know what they are doing nor care about the customer.

I went to a Quest in NJ for labs August 2021 and 2 of the services were double billed. Medicare paid the first bill in 2021 shortly after the lab draw. Then 6 months later, Quest resubmitted the bill which of course was rejected by Medicare, so Quest billed me personally. I went back to the same Lab in NJ this August 2022 and was told I had a balance of over $250 that had to be paid or I couldn't have my labs done. Calling the billing company many times, I was told there is nothing they can do. I asked for a supervisor several times and the calls were disconnected. I have reported this fraud to Medicare. Medicare agrees that the bill was submitted twice and that the patient is not responsible for paying for these labs.
Upon further delving into this, I find that Quest settled a class action lawsuit for $1.8 Million dollars for overbilling and double billing unaware patients. The whistleblower worked at Quest and saw this happen consistently. It seems that it makes no difference, because they are still at it. There is no way to fight it without an expensive lawsuit and they refuse to give you services if you have a balance bill. They make you sign an ABN saying you will pay what Medicare doesn't cover but there is nothing that says you agree to paying a duplicate service. There is no way of knowing this in advance. I hope this information helps someone else because "the little guy" is being duped into paying for labs that they are not required to and this is clearly fraud to the patient and to Medicare. This is just an example of why the price of healthcare is so high. The big companies just don't care!

Wasn't able to make an appointment online, so I arrived at around 8:40 am at the quest location on 2229 west Ball rd., Anaheim Ca. When I was checking in one of the employee asked me if I had an appointment, I said no, She told me it's going to be a long wait as priority is given to the ones with appointment, She actually helped me check in as a walk-in and told me to take a seat, As hours ticked by many people just left, I guess they were familiar with the practice, tired of waiting or went to other locations, when a man who was seating next to me asked me what time my appointment was, I told him I didn't have one because I was a walk -in, He told me he had an appointment for 11:20 and he was also a walk-in but he got an appointment when he was checking in because someone had cancelled their appointment, I was shocked because I had arrived almost 30 mins before him.
Later I asked one of the lady and she said that how the system work, not first come first served as walk-in, really? Who made such a dumb stupid system? Is it a lottery? Whomever is responsible need to find a new job/ career. That silly, don't waste people time, some people wake up in the early hoping to catch an early worm, not to play 5 grader games. At 3:30pm the lady come back and say, "If don't have an appointment you can't be seen," I waited for over six hours for this madness? Quest you ought to be ashamed of yourself and how you conduct your business. It's just pathetic.

My blood was draw by "Amy R", and I got poke 8-10 different times until my vein burst and have worst Bruises in my life. First off she have trouble finding my vein, so she poke the needle in 8-10 times until she found it. And she did something wrong (not holding the tube correctly) so there is blood leaking out and it also stop in the middle so need to redo it again. After poking me another 5 times, She knew she is not doing it right so she call someone else to help.
The other nurse saw what happened and she was surprised too because my arm already have been poke so many times already, so she need to poke my other arm instead!!! But this other nurse is quick, only take 10 sec and it's done. This "Amy R" person should get more training before going into the field, she have no experience and it's hurting patient. The worst is that she did not even apologize and acting everything is fine and run around away hiding in the back. This is such a horrific experience for me because I go to the lab few times before.

I got 2 emails stating my credit card didn't go through. I tried to reply to both (neither said do not reply) and both came back undeliverable. When I go to customer service it asks for a bill number - neither email provide one, asks for lab code - there are no codes in the drop down for CT. I went to the site and looked under my billing, pay bills and anything else I could find and there is no site to update credit card information. They charged me $10. Really unacceptable customer service when I'm trying to pay a bill.

I went to Quest Diagnostic on 3rd Street Jacksonville, Fl for the 2nd time today Saturday August 20, 2022, to have a major lab test done as the first time a week ago I was sent away because I did not have a mask (you’d think they’d have a mask). The tech was rude throwing his sticky notes while complaining “I don’t know why don’t they just give you a paper instead of faxing it.” That’s after he told me there was no order. After he finds the order, he pulls up a bill. I was unaware it existed, never got billed for, but it had apparently gone to collections. Obviously, he refused my getting tested and now I have to wait yet again as it is the weekend.

I had written a negative review last year and received over 100 viewers, and the visit after that review saw some positive changes, but yet again my last visit for a blood test requested by my doctor on a Friday for an appointment on Wednesday, so my walk in visit which I have done all the time in the past 25 years, on a Monday morning fasted, so I sign in and after an hour wait, I come to find out that should have made an appointment and that they will take me in order which they have received with the rest of the walk-in and after all the people who had appointments, which could take all day or never.
I leave and come home and make an appointment for the next day, and as I go in the next day I had to wait more than an hour to get my test done which only took 10 minutes! Great. Please allow me to mention there were no staff on the front desk, even though the nurses inside working hard around the clock properly and I personally salute them, yet first there were more patients than employees, second every nurse was processing the paperwork and doing the testings themselves.
My advice to you is :- Patients are there because they are not well, most of them fasting, waiting on these uncomfortable chairs and some of them waiting outside the office by the security guard request, so you tell me does this sound like a place where sick people should endure? Or Are we becoming like poor countries where people don’t have much choice? Let me mention that we as patients are paying for the service, yet we are treated as we are getting a free service, being ordered for where we should wait, no masks given to patients who forget to bring mask, How much a box of mask cost every day? It is just ridiculous and sad for a medical facility not to offer emergency masks when most already came with it, not only it wasn’t offered but one of the staff members was extremely rude to the patient for forgetting it. I know we are better than this, make it happen if you can.

He sits me down and just jabs needle in causing me immediate pain.. It bled for a while.. 11 days have passed which is ridiculous.. My arm is still sore today and I'm pissed off now… No way it takes 11 days to heal. This disabled man has no business working in this type of sensitive lab work.. placing needles in the public and doing it incorrectly.. I'm taking my complaint to Quest Corp office in New Jersey tom. 7/11/22. My arm has just today shown less redness but still aches if touched .. This deaf guy needs to only sit up front not draw blood.. He is mentally incapable of performing these procedures or how to place a needle correctly in a person's vein… Let me know if you live in my area Henderson, Nv and used this deaf guy perform a similar screw up on your vein.. The Quest employee who was packing up for Quest to move out of the site told me that the decision to permanently close the site on 07/01 had been made well before I had made my 07/05 appointment on 06/30. Why was I permitted to make an appointment online at a Quest site that Quest knew was going to be permanently closed on the date of my appointment? I know why. Quest could not care less about inconveniencing its customers. I will never use Quest again.

The issue is related to billing with a service date of Jan 14 2022, the 'processing' for which has been extending beyond belief (with Quest's continued inefficiency in directing/routing the bill to the correct address of the Insurance company) ... Thereby edging towards messing the customer's (that’s me) credit history (for no fault of mine) ... Innumerous email communications and numerous phone calls to Quest (directly and/or through my Medical Insurance company, on three-way conference calls) appear to (continue to fall/have fallen) in deaf ears ...
I was surprised by the first ‘Laboratory bill’ from Quest dated April 28 2022 informing me of a ‘huge’ amount due (marked as ’31-60 days’ past due), which had not yet been processed through the Insurance company (since Quest had sent the documentation/service records to the INCORRECT ADDRESS). Soon after receipt of the said bill, I reached out to the Insurance company, informing them about the same, who reached out to Quest and communicated to Quest the correct address to which the documentation/service records need to be sent. Quest had also confirmed to the Insurance company that while the said bill is being processed, it would be placed on ‘Hold’ (implying would not be considered as ‘past due’ yet, thus not having to be passed on for ‘Collections’).
However, as of today (June 23 2022), Quest has continued to fail to submit the said documentation to the correct address of the Insurance company. However, Quest has continued to send me their bills (marked as ’61-90 days’ past due … ’Over 90 days’ past due … ‘Final notice’ ….), despite their own continued mess up over months (blatant display of absolute inefficiency!) despite having informed the Insurance company/me of the said bill being placed on ‘Hold’! And, based on the 'final notice', Quest Diagnostics would pass this bill for 'Collections' (in not paid by me in 10 days) ... ALL OF THIS FOR A MESS UP CAUSED BY QUEST DIAGNOSTIC'S OWN CONTINUED FAILURES!!!
Since early May 2022, I have been reaching out to Quest either directly over phone/email or through my Insurance company over a three-way conference call with Quest diagnostics/My Insurance company and myself were participants. Every communication from Quest repeat (at least) a 30-45 day time frame for processing … shows their incredibly, slow processing/performance. Here is an extract of my email communication to Quest Diagnostics dated June 17 2022:
**** (Names have been masked for privacy)
It continues to be a very unpleasant experience having to deal with you guys at Quest!!! On receiving the 'new' bill from you guys (effective with no change to the bill for the service date of 01/14/2022), it suggests if ANYONE AT QUEST EVER DOES A JOB RIGHT!!! I spoke to Quest CSR, **, today, who informed me that the Insurance company denied the claim for the service date of 01/14/2022 because the service was NOT in the coverage period! (ABSOLUTE NONSENSE). Immediately reached out to the Insurance company and spoke to CSR, **, who conferenced the call with Quest CSR, ** ... When I gathered that the bill was continuously being sent BY QUEST TO THE INCORRECT ADDRESS OF THE INSURANCE COMPANY!!!
All of this since the service date (of 01/14/2022) and several calls/communications to quest & insurance company, ever since I received the first bill from Quest in early May 2022 (when insurance company had asked Quest to resubmit the bill to the correct address) ... Multiple time ... See your records if you ever maintain any ... And today to gather that Quest did it again (sent to wrong insurance company address)!!!! What a waste of services/personnel/'so called' services (that is non-existent) ..
Is it very difficult for you to see/refer/verify that, when the processing of the bill for a later service date of 04/22/2022 appears to have been sent/processed to the correct insurance address (substantiated by the EOB received from the insurance company), and why the billing for the service dated 01/14/2022 continues to be sent to the incorrect address??? Sounds like there is a need for a lot of you to have your vision checked!!!!! Absolute nightmare!!!
****Needless to say, it proves the need for Quest's management to look into the inefficiencies of their bill processing and avoid future inconveniences to anyone else.

This is a terrible company and you should not do business with them if at all possible. Had lab work done last August. Got bill for $800+ in October. Normally after insurance processes it is about $10. Call Blue Cross and find out Quest did not submit it to Blue Cross properly. Called Quest and explained the situation and they said no problem, they would take care of it. Next month, $800 bill shows up.
Have been through this cycle 5 times explaining to Quest how bill needs to go through local Blue Cross office first. Blue Cross has been called over the situation and they have explained the process several times to Quest people and told me it is taken care of. Nope, got a bill with the threat of a collection agency being called now. Apparently what I will have to do is pay the bill and then file a criminal complaint with the District Attorney to get this straightened out. Don't ever use this company!!!

They send Bills for Preventive Lab work services which are covered 100% by CIGNA. Also CIGNA EOB says patient don't have to pay for this service but Quest keeps on sending Bills which increase the stress for already suffering patient & their families. Appeals drag for months and months and no hope for timely resolution. During this time duration Quest denies Patient critical services, This leaves patient no other option but to look out for alternate service providers. Hence I do not recommend Quest Lab work services with CIGNA corporate insurance.

Was billed 294.02. Ok, was not happy with a Suprise bill but hey, we all know how that goes. Set up a pay plan for $60.00 per month. That's it. Pay off in august. Needed to change the date so called, they said they would cancel it and I would have to do another pay plan. Ok. So next day I set it up. Due date comes around they take their 60. Ok, next day, they take another 60. I reach out to billing and file a discrepancy. Been a month now, haven't heard anything. Each time I check back, it's "We're still investigating". Well, due date comes back around, and the SAME THING HAPPENS AGAIN. When I called again, I got the run around, so asked for a supervisor. She came back and said they would stop the next pending payment and cancel the payment plan altogether, and that they are still investigating where that extra (2nd payment) of 60$ went.

So I waited outside and when I went in I asked the woman, "How come they’re not wearing masks?" She said, "We can’t force people to do it." And she proceeded to tell me that they now recently started testing for live Covid. I wish I knew that before I came in and they certainly can’t enforce it and they should considering it’s a medical business and they take all kinds of patients with low immune systems. That’s a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Quest Diagnostics forced me to give a credit card number to get tests that my Dr. ordered. Forced me to sign a paper giving them the right to charge my bank or no test would be done. I had to sign to get the tests but wasn't really concerned because I have Medicare & Medicaid that covers lab. These tests took place Dec 8, 2021 and I just got an invoice charging me $426! Why?? Because Quest sent a bill that was CODED WRONG & Medicare declined it. Rather than contacting me when they had copies of my insurance cards to discuss why these charges that have ALWAYS been covered each & every time I've been to Quest with the SAME TESTS ordered, they just took it out of my bank account.
I'm a senior on Social Security & my bank account was just emptied by these ** [not allowed to say]! Can't pay my bills, can't buy food, can't even get a birthday present for my grandson. Not only that but they plan to get $339 more when my Social Security check hits next month. Whatever you do, do NOT let this ** [not allowed to say] force you to give your bank info unless you know the correct treatment codes so you can make certain they don't bill the wrong codes to your insurance. I'm not convinced that they deliberately bill the wrong codes because it's easier & faster for Quest to just take the money from your bank account, but that's just my opinion.
BTW, I've called their 800 CS number many times & after going through a ridiculously complicated phone tree, you're put on hold & suddenly a voice says "Goodbye" and hangs up! I tried chat & was told I had to call the 800 CS number. Around & around in circles when you have a billing problem, what does that say to you about this company? On 4/9 Quest put through a debit card transaction for another $121.24. After calling customer service, I was told that I was set up on a monthly payment plan for this amount. How can they set me up on a payment plan for a balance that is not owed? Also, my payment information was NOT saved when I made either of the previous payments, so they are obviously saving card information even when you ask them not to. It's a shame that we are required to give 1 star because this Arena Blvd in Sacramento location does not even deserve that. I had an 8:10 am appointment but was 16 minutes late because I got lost. The kiosk would not let me check in because I was beyond 10 minutes late. Of course, I never imagined that this would be an issue. I told the lady at the front desk with the short red hair that I could not check in because I was 10 minutes late, and she rudely told me that I was too late and had to reschedule. I explained to her that I really needed to get this blood work done before I started light therapy today. She told me that they do not take walk-ins. She told me to write my birthday and last name down, and she would check into things.
A couple of minutes later, while she was back at her desk typing away, I noticed that my information was still just sitting on the counter (out of arms reach). I asked her if had the information she needed, and she rudely responded, "Yes, but I only have one computer monitor." I wasn't trying to rush her; I just wanted to make sure that she had what she needed. I didn't want to just leave my birthday and last name information sitting on the counter for the next patient to see. Finally, she grabbed my information off the counter and, after a few minutes, said that she would be able to put me in walk-in so that I could be squeezed in between any no-shows. She told me that it can take hours for me to be seen and instruct the assistant on the floor to help me sign in to the kiosk.
In the meantime I am standing in a crowded waiting room that only had 5 chairs with about 15 people they have been waiting for quite some time (despite of appointments) to get blood drawn by one of the 4 phlebotomist in the back. After waiting for about 40 minutes, a lady was called but was not there; however, I was not called/ squeezed in as promised. I waited another hour and named after the name was called, but mine was not. I finally got up and asked the floor attendant how long it would be about before I was called? He said that I would be called after the appointment or seen. I said, "But everyone here has an appointment, so that doesn't make sense." That means I would be seeing at the end of the day, and it is now 9:40 a.m. in the morning.
It was at that point that the rude lady with a short red hair abruptly interrupted our conversation and stated that I was only a standby because I was at my appointment and that I could be waiting there for hours and she does not know when I will ever be able to be seen even though I was the only stand by there. While waiting there, I had already booked an appointment at the downtown location that would be coming up in about 40 minutes. After she said that, I just told her to take me off and walked out. I arrived downtown, and my experience was like a breath of fresh air. I was treated with dignity and respect. When I arrived at the downtown location, even though my appointment wasn't until 10:40 and I arrived at 10, I was taken in and done by 10:15.
If you like being talk to very rudely, waiting for a long time to be seen even if you have an appointment, and standing up while waiting to be called, then this is the location for you. I can only compare the Arena location to maybe a County Medical Center or welfare office situation compared to an actual organized and functionally running laboratory. The receptionist with the short red hair is extremely rude, belligerent, belittling, and loud. She totally lacks people skills, and I don't understand how she still has a job. I witnessed her being rude patient after the patient, which prompted me to look at the reviews for this location. I knew that it wasn't just my experience that day. If you read the reviews on here, you will see that her and her rudeness is mentioned several times. I felt like I was being treated like a second-class citizen in there begging for a handout.

My doctor has all of the other results, but the office will not let me have them until I see him, which will not be until THE END OF APRIL. I have made several inquiries by both phone and email as to why my results are not in my Patient Portal, and why everything is taking so long. I am given a different line of ** every time.
I do not know who is running the show at Quest, but never in my life have I EVER had this problem before. NEVER has standard bloodwork taken more than three weeks to come back. The LOGICAL thing to do would be to send the results sans the one blood test that is not ready, to my Patient Portal. I will NEVER use this lab again - EVER. I have had the most upsetting and frustrating experience with these people, and they have left a very bad taste in my mouth.

This was my first visit to Quest and the last. The tech was having a bad day, someone in the lobby said something stupid and she thought it was me. She then proceeded to BUTCHER my arm, taking out her childish reaction to a frustrated person in the lobby. She was quiet and mean... like a creepy toddler with a pointy thing in her hand. I received an ulcer where she inserted the needle and three blood blisters from where she taped the gauze. THEN she made me sign something with no text to verify that I read my name on the blood vial. I signed something that had no information on it for me to verify what it was.
Today I called the lab because my results weren't back yet and the lab never received my specimen. SHE THREW IT AWAY! I was asked to go be redrawn. Never again. Very unprofessional, unkempt girls with a psychological problem should not be working with needles. Someday Quest, you'll be facing a lawsuit when her ugliness really comes out. Do a better pre-employment screening. I called Quest to describe the situation and have no idea if anything was done since I was supposed to receive a call and did not receive any call back. Oh and the bathroom door didn't lock. Hope no one had to pee.

I waited and waited until 2 other ladies came out to get others at 10:15. They said they would get back to me. I never saw anyone else again. I tried calling, returning texts, etc. Finally at 10:25 I realized I had to leave to make my other appointment. Later I received a text saying they were ready for me. This place is horrible especially the lab technician who claims to be the office manager, my first experience with her was while she was on her personal phone talking to what sounded like her child she called me by name into the lab area. She was attempting to draw blood from me and asked what arm I was comfortable with without even looking at the doctor's orders and I responded with, "I'm not here for a blood draw," and explained why I was there and she rudely handed me my test kit, no bag just handed it to me and called the next patient. I left the office in a full blown panic attack and I WAS totally HUMILIATED!
The 2nd unpleasant visit was having to go get retested for the same as the 1st visit, I was given my test kit and the next morning returned to submit my sample and the same woman again in front of everyone in the lobby refused to take my sample stating she had no orders for me and closed the door on me, I knocked on the door and asked how this was possible as I came in the day before and was given the kit and instructions and told to return in the morning, even got my wife to speak to her and by then I was in a full blown panic attack. I left humiliated and didn't even left my phone behind. My wife had to go back to retrieve my phone. If you don't mind being humiliated and your privacy violated this is the place for you.

I don't know their names so this is the only way for me to identify them. We had appointments but yet had to wait 45 min. When we were finally called, the ** male refused to do a bloodwork because the prescription had a minor tear. Now I point this out that my other daughter who went in before her and whose prescription also had a tear (because we were in an accident where these papers got soaked in water) was attended and her bloodwork was completed after applying tape to the torn section. I must mention no information was missing, it could be easily legible with a tape. This male not only refused but verbally abused us. Ok so we leave with a fasting 2 year old because of the ego of the attendants.
Now my other daughter, 7 year old whose blood was drawn but she had to provide urine sample but since she did not eat or drink anything, she couldn't pee right at that time, so we went outside, had her drink something and came back 20 min later with a urine sample BUT the ** lady had me check in AGAIN and put me on the waiting list! Just to drop the urine! Any other lab always allows you to come back and drop urine sample because sometimes people are not comfortable peeing there and this was a 7 year old! After waiting for some time, I just trashed the sample and went home. Now we have to do the test AGAIN! Why? Because the people here were rude, abusive, unhelpful and plain unfair! They are not fit to be in the healthcare industry!

First of all, I never thought that I will write a bad review to Quest Diagnostics personnel, knowing that some people know the job and some don't assume that there is more good than bad people. When I come for the blood work, (in any facility), I always mention that my veins are very tiny and that I am on **, which means they should know not to use a regular needle. But, when I went on 02 February 2022 to Quest Diagnostics in Bradenton FL it happens that two female phlebotomists don't pay attention to what I am talking to them, (one is Maria), they even lie to me that they don't have small butterfly needles, and when I ask them why is that they told me that they are not supplied. Both of them try to but weren't able to do the work, I mean one after another one. Both fishing in my arms for the veins; when I told them that I don't like it they start to look for my fist to draw out the blood.
So, I asked for the manager and the second one said that she is the manager; I was so upset knowing that they lie but I can't do anything. She pulled the needle out (the second one), doesn't apply the bandaid to my arm, and let me go laughing at me. I told them that I will give them "a beautiful" review. So I went out and I notice that I don't have the bandaid; I returned inside and spoke to another phlebotomist about it; she was so surprised that some of her colleagues let me out without the bandaid and she suggested coming another day to do the blood work by Judy. Today, on 08 February I went so happy to see Judy, hoping that she will do the work, but she was the same as the other two, only I got the bandaid; I should mention that she also doesn't care about the small needle. I am so sorry for us who need to deal with this kind of people. I would give 0 stars if I am able. Just don't go there if you have tiny veins.

Ended up with a surprise bill. It was literally “impossible” to inquire about prices before, during, or after having the bloodwork for I was unable to talk to a human being on the phone. Quest Lab is an In-Network Lab but I was charged more than if I had gone to another lab without insurance at all! Talking to someone at Quest was literally IMPOSSIBLE, you’ll have to deal with Interactive Voice System with no chance to talk to a human. I’m refusing to pay out of principle.
The details: On April 6, 2021, my primary care Doctor requested a bloodwork. I did my due diligence of choosing an in-network lab. I even went to Quest Lab one day before to ask directly if I would have to pay anything for my bloodwork. A nurse briefly came out and confirmed I wouldn’t have to pay anything (she probably just wanted me to leave quickly). In the meantime they will spend money mailing letters requesting payment on accounts which are waiting to be processed through the antiquated software claim process. Hiring truck drivers is a difficult task these days. There is the long applications, background checks, interviews, physicals, driving tests, drug tests, employment verification, plus a lot of persuasion. It used to take three days to get the results for a pre-employment drug test, now it takes two weeks or more. It now takes three days for the specimen to get to the lab. Unfortunately, no driver is going to patiently wait two weeks to earn income to support their families. Therefore, all the time and money you invested in hiring the driver is lost when the driver takes a job at a different company, because Quest Diagnostics cannot process a drug test in a reasonable amount of time. Quest is non-responsive, unsympathetic, and basically does not care, because whether you get your test results or not, they will get paid for doing inefficient work and destroying your business.
I have contacted Quest Diagnostics numerous times with no resolve. I am still waiting for the drug test results for drivers who went to work for other companies. I am out of the time spent interviewing drivers, running background checks, and employment verifications and the money spent to prepare the driver for the position, cost of drug tests, and physicals. Not to mention the stress created inside the company due to driver shortage, tempers flaring due to late delivered freight because of driver shortage, and the final stress factor is waiting for drug test results with a boss breathing down the back of your neck expecting the human resource personnel to miraculously make the drug test results to appear. Instead of telling the other person to put on a mask I was instructed to sit further away. I said I could not sit there and would need someone to come out and get me or call me when they were actually ready to take me. This did not happen. After 20 minutes I sent my husband back in to see how much longer it would be and was told they were now ready for me. The other staff member who was checking me in had their mask hanging under their nose for most of our interaction, and was also taking the mask off to talk on the phone when she had to call to get a lab code. Extremely concerning as I already stated I have a health condition. Due to the fact I was taken 30 minutes after my prescheduled appointment and the unsafe environment I had to leave without getting the labs I needed ahead of a critical doctor's appointment. Stay far away from this service center as it is poorly run and they do not care about your health.

I had two different medical bills with this company and did not receive a copy from them. The labs had been sent out from my medical provider's office. I had double insurance at the time and for some reason Quest did not bill my insurance. I only found out that I had a bill from my credit report as due to Covid I experienced hardships and had to move twice. The customer service representative was abusive and unhelpful when I called for help with this bill. He interrogated me and played games when I tried to recall who my primary insurance was through. He acted as though I was trying to be deceptive when all I was trying to do was get this straightened out. He yelled at me and I demanded to be transferred to a manager at which time he then disconnected me and I have now been on hold for an additional 20 mins.
There was no reason for this bill to be sent to collections. Quest was able to see and bill my insurance but chose not to. The representative was able to see who my primary insurance provider was but chose to ignore this and carry on in an abusive manner and yell at a customer. This company should remember that WE ARE CUSTOMERS. I will avoid Quest Diagnostics at all cost in the future. No one should have to deal with this kind of service from a healthcare company.

Ridiculous wait times at location for walk-ins and there are only 2 phlebotomist working. I'm still here and I've been waiting 1 hour and 10 minutes. I made an appointment for a lab test. I paid upfront for the procedure. When I arrived at their office, I signed in and within a minute, my name showed up on an electronic bulletin board giving patients their wait times. My wait time was noted as 2 minutes. Approximately 1 minute before I was to be called, a nurse stuck her head in the waiting room, pointed at me and said "You're next". Approximately 8 minutes later, my name disappeared off the bulletin board.
When I questioned a nurse about my appointment, I was told they had no record of me having an appointment. I explained they were showing my name electronically plus I had an appointment confirmation number given to me when I made the appointment. I was told to use their sign in register and to make a "walk in" appointment if I wanted to have a test run. I re-registered and during the start up of my appointment, I saw my information already posted from my initial appointment plus showing it prepaid. An opinion, incompetence or a deliberate cancellation by a nurse not wanting to see me. What do you think?

Like everyone else has said, my experience was negative. I've gotten hundreds of blood draws throughout my life. It is only at Quest where their phlebotomists have messed up and I've gotten nerve damage from it. The first time was in December 2020. I went to a Quest near Jericho, NY to get a test for COVID antibodies. The phlebotomist missed the vein and struck a nerve. I experienced an electrical shock and it was very painful. For the next three weeks, my arm hurt when I moved, with both numbness and tingling.
The second time was in August 2021 (five days ago). I needed routine blood work and went to a different location, one located in Roslyn, NY. Unbelievably, the phlebotomist here had NO CLUE what they were doing. And once again, I had pain when they took blood from me. My arm was sore when I left and there is still a bruise. When I move my arm a certain way, I have an achy feeling-the same feeling when you pull a muscle-that extends throughout my arm. Once again, for the second straight time in a row and within an eight month timespan, Quest Diagnostics messed up the blood draw. Again, I've gotten probably hundreds of blood work with no issues. But from Quest, there is always an issue. I will never go back.

Quest has a customer be damned attitude. My doctor sent them a prescription for lab work on a Thursday and when I arrived at the local Quest facility the following Tuesday they said they didn't have it. I'd brought a copy of the prescription with me just in case, but the phlebotomist, who said she was the unit supervisor, said she couldn't draw blood because, the doctor who wrote the prescription hadn't provided her address. I asked why the address was necessary and was told that they didn't know where to send the test results without it. I said how about sending them to me. They said they couldn't do that.
I said I could give them the doctor's address but they said the doctor had to provide it. I asked them to check for the script the doctor had sent them and they did and found it, but it also didn't have the doctor's address. I didn't think to ask them to draw blood and check later, but they undoubtedly would have refused as their attitude was basically "we can't help you" rather than "what might we do to help". When I called Quest customer service to complain and noted that the local facility had my script for 5 days and had done nothing to check it, they said "Oh, we don't check the scripts till the patient is there." From now on I'll use LabCorp. I hope they're better.

All I wanted was to speak to a representative, or see some kind of list of supplements and medications I should be concerned about that have the potential to give 'false positives' as the job I'm applying for is very important to me. After probably 30 minutes of being jerked around by an automated system, I finally got a customer service rep who, when I asked the above inquiry said, "No. Sorry. Ask your doctor."
This place honestly sucks, but they probably have a monopoly. Don't use them if you don't have to, I've had other experiences with them in the past including them sending me a 400 dollar bill after my doctor ran tests that told me wouldn't cost me anything additional. Total garbage company from my 2 experiences so far and I literally don't ever leave bad reviews. We purchased "At home Covid-19 active infection kits" back in September. My husband & I needed them for travel and to avoid a 14 day quarantine at our destination. We canceled the trip & didn't use the kit. Their policy states that the kit expires 70 days after purchase. If it goes unused, they would refund us our money automatically. Well, that didn't happen. I called several times & got nothing but run around. I talked to 5 different people & was given 3 different phone numbers to call. 2 of those people tried to tell me that I'd have to wait another 70 days to get my refund. That's when I read them their own refund policy off the website only to leave them stammering for excuses.
I ultimately called my credit card to disputed the charges & got my money back that way. This is shameful considering the kind of year 2020 has been not to mention it's Christmas time. You cannot ever reach a human being, ever. Can't reach anyone at the local center, anyone to discuss a bill, can't make an appointment on the phone OR on the website. Quest likes to make money, yet they DO NOT want to share it with human beings. They hire human beings as sparingly as possible. The IVR is nothing but "press this" and "press that" and eventually you will not reach a human being but be forced to hang up, or the IVR will hang up for you.
This company is just grossly capitalistic: they want to make all their money ON HUMAN BEINGS and all their tests, yet they don't want to hire CUSTOMER SERVICE employees. They want to make their money here, but refuse to employ people--aside from drivers and phlebotomists. HIRE SOME HUMAN BEINGS---IN THE DOMESTIC MARKET OF THE UNITED STATES WHERE YOU MAKE ALL YOUR MONEY---TO DO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I hope the government finds its way to fining QUEST for being in medical care and services, yet categorically refusing to provide services.

I left and called their customer service to complain and ask for a solution. They told me that their waiting time shown is not reliable and I should have waited and my appt was forfeit. They recommended to go to another location which had a 3 min wait time as a walk in with driving time 20 min. I said ok I'll give that a shot. I arrived at the location only to be told that this is an appt only location!
I begged them to take me and finally they put me on the schedule for a 10 min wait. 10-15-20-30-40 min went by and I asked whether I was going to be called and they told me the computer system is down for several hours. I left of course returning to the original location where I had an appt. I put myself as a walk-in and was told I had a 68 min wait time. I chose to be notified by text when I should show up. I went home and I never got a text message. 2 hours later I went to the same location to look at the monitor to see where I was in the scheduling. My name was not even there. I then decided this is enough and called my doctor's office who charged me $25 to take my blood so I did this instead. Money well spent. I wish there was a "no-star" review because even one star is more than they deserve. In a nutshell, I went to get some labs done, and after a week without hearing from them, I decided to call the main toll-free number. After waiting over 20 minutes, the agent that took care of my call informed me that I had to get retested due to "Inconclusive Results." I wish I could say this without exaggeration, but ALL the answers that I received were "I don't know..." I was at a loss for words; I didn't know what to do because all I got from her was the same response.
I decided to go back to the testing location to learn that there was a note that I had to get retested, but there was no reason explaining why I needed to get retested. As if I were trapped in an inescapable labyrinth, the woman at the testing center, also responded with "I don't know..." What a disgrace! It is evident that people's health is certainly not what Quest is concerned about. I have tried to call HQs, but that is not an option. You will hear "all of our agents are still busy at this time."

This was not the first time that I received another trash invoice from the Quest Diagnostics. Earlier, they had wrongly billed me duplicate and I had to spend a lot of time, energy, and effort to make the matter clear to them and to finally get rid of them. Now it was another folly of them. The incompetent agent sitting in their lab forgot to enter my new insurance information in their system on September 08, 2019. On the first place, she never asked for my ID card and insurance information. I myself had to hand them over to her.
The lady who took my new insurance card and ID card to make photocopies of them was just too busy chatting with her colleagues and was not paying any attention to me. She was very rude. I submitted my feedback information in response to their survey a couple of days after my lab test date. I clearly stated in the feedback that I provided my new insurance information. But instead of disciplining their employee, they sent me a new invoice stating that I had no insurance.
Then, for two days in a row, I tried hard to contact them through the phone number they had provided on their invoice. After waiting for 20 minutes each time, they hung up on me and I was unable to talk to someone. On the following morning, I tried to update my insurance information through my MyQuest account on their website, but after entering my lab Code and Bill #, when I put my date of birth or phone, I received an error message and so was unable to proceed further. Their lab, billing department, and both phone and website are a complete fiasco. I again scheduled an appointment with their lab for this year’s tests by mistake, but seeing all this, I had to cancel it. Instead, I have scheduled my appointment with LabCorp. I have a next-door neighbor who baked me some cookies about three weeks ago; it was completely innocent and assumed I was a smoker as her son said I was cool, from what he tells me. I do not smoke ** as I am a commercial driver. It was brought to my attention the next day that the cookies I was given were, in-fact, "Pot" cookies. So I went to my doctor, who told me that I tested at 52Ng/Ml and will not pass a drug test as the dot cut off for THC is 50Ng/mL and has to be below that mark to be considered a negative. So I waited and waited. On the 24th of August, I went in and took a drug test for a new job. Your lab tested my urine at 41Ng/mL which was below 50Ng/mL and should have been deemed a negative test as per DOT standards.
§ 40.87 What are the cutoff concentrations for drug tests?
**
(a) As a laboratory, you must use the cutoff concentrations displayed in the following table for initial and confirmatory drug tests. All cutoff concentrations are expressed in nanograms per milliliter (ng/mL). The table follows:Initial test analyte
Initial test cutoff 50 ng/mL3 (I tested at 41Ng/mL) -9 below the cut off level.
(b) On an initial drug test, you must report a result below the cutoff concentration as negative. If the result is at or above the cutoff concentration, you must conduct a confirmation test.
(c) On a confirmation drug test, you must report a result below the cutoff concentration as negative and a result at or above the cutoff concentration as confirmed positive.
So by notifying my employer and then submitting the results to the DOT Clearinghouse, you violate HHS federal drug-testing standards and my heppa as you relaying inaccurate information that violates my rights. I am looking at getting this cleared up and removed from my records as a positive test and re-categorized at a Negative result as my results fall below the cutoff level of 50Ng/mL, which is set forth by DOT.
I am resorting to any means necessary and up to legal action against Quest labs to have this removed and compensation for damages to my carrier and emotional state. I cant work. You took my carrier from me by not following federal guidelines on testing. I would like to be contacted on this matter and would like to resolve this without legal action... I will wait for your response as DOT Clearinghouse will also be reversing the listing as contested misinformation and notifying the state licensing agency to inform that you're not following the guidelines set for cut off levels in your drug testing.

I would like to tell you about my last two experiences at Quest Diagnostics located at 293 Commerce Ave, Manteca, CA. On both visits, the waiting room was packed and social distancing was impossible. On both visits, patients are allowed to enter the main waiting room BEFORE THEIR temperature is taken. Reasonably temperatures should be taken at the entrance to the Diagnostic center not AFTER. Because of this faulty setup patients who could potentially have Covid19 will be sitting in a crowded waiting room possibly infecting everyone else while they are waiting to have their temperature taken.
Also, when I came in for lab test on my first visit the technician only did two tests instead of the several tests required. Of course, I did not realize this until I got my results back a few weeks later. So I then returned for the rest of the required tests and then I was told because the doctor used the incorrect code I would have to pay for the test. When I asked if the office could call my doctor I was told that there were 40, yes, FORTY people in the waiting room and office staff does not have time to be calling doctors. When I offered to step outside and call my doctor I was told I would lose my place in line and it would be a long wait. My next option was to leave without being tested, which is what I did. I am very disappointed in the unsafe overcrowded conditions at this Quest and feel like the staff is concerned that THEY don’t get Covid19, which is understandable, but the patients should not be subjected to it either.
I certainly didn’t want to have to come in to have lab tests and face greater exposure and I will not ever be returning to this Quest Center. Hopefully, I will find safer conditions at the other Quest centers in Manteca. During this pandemic, Quest should change their method of operation and have appointment only testing and take temperatures outside the door and keep 7 or less people in the waiting room at all times in order to maintain social distance of the posted 6 feet.

Had a mix up with getting a sample sent out, but Quest never reached out to me, rather it was my PCP. This set off a multi day goose chase and hours wasted sitting on hold with Quest's central phone line. Additionally, dealing w/ Quest HQ was particularly frustrating because the customer service reps kept giving me incomplete or sometimes, outright incorrect information. How are you going to keep me on a 20-30 min hold every time I call and then give me the wrong information? Oh that and the fact that the local line doesn't appear to even take phone calls? Like every time I would call and hit the option for general information it would just be like "sorry this line is not available now" and then hang up.
So every time I had a question about this protracted and awful experience I had to drive over there and ask in person. That and 1/2 the time, I would ask a question and the staffer would tell me to call customer service who don't know things about their own business. Went to a testing site last friday (8 days ago) done by Quest Labs. Still have not gotten results. Went to another site on Thursday (2 DAYS AGO), got my results at 6:20 am this morning. Some of these labs are not interested in providing usable results and just want to play numbers. Limit the volume of testing to a level that can be processed in 2-3 days or forfeit payment.

The lab tech told me I could sign up for an account online and put him as a dependent and get his results through the online portal. I created an account, and have tried EIGHT TIMES to add my son as a dependent, uploading his birth certificate as they asked. Each time they email a denial stating that the name on the birth certificate does not match the name of the account holder! I called to explain that I (his mom) am the account holder, so of course my son’s birth certificate (which has his name) would not match mine! I have called and emailed customer service, but they cannot get it straightened out!
Today via phone, she finally said she would email me the results as I confirmed all info over the phone but yet when she emailed me, she said she could not give me the results because the system still isn’t letting her! This is unacceptable - I paid for the lab tests, I am entitled to the results. It should not be this difficult since I had my drivers license and his insurance card when we were at the lab to have his blood drawn! I will start by saying I am the sole breadwinner in my family. I have a wife and four children. On 7-14-2020, I took a COVID-19 test at my local physician's office (Dearborn, Michigan). The staff at that site stated I would have my test results back by 7-17-2020. After making repeated calls for results, my physician's office suggested I call Quest Diagnostics to obtain my test results. After being on hold for over twenty minutes, their representative stated, "They have my sample. It is still in a pending status." She also included, "We cannot provide you with a date when your results will be ready."
As a result of their inability to provide test results, I have lost my employment. I do not understand how this same lab can quickly produce test results for major sports teams and government officials, and someone like me, Joe Taxpayer, must wait weeks to get results. Even the NBA grew weary of the wait from Quest and replaced them with BioReference Laboratories. The time it takes to get test results for someone like me, Joe Taxpayer, is deplorable.
My test results, along with many others, are low priority. My question, now that I have lost my job, will Quest Diagnostics hire me? If Quest receives federal money, the funding should stop until they can prove they can produce results in a timely fashion. Additionally, Quest should assume responsibility for the loss of income and reimburse those who lost employment due to their ineptness for anyone else in my position.

But Nurse continued to ignore all those facts and stocked with her initial Request/Demands about the First Page!!?? My explanations were that actually I did not Obligated or Required to bring my personal copy of Doctor's order. I did this voluntary just assuming that it will be helpful, but I was wrong! I asked to talk to Office Manager with hope that maybe she/he will help to resolve this issue and move forward with my lab work.
Unfortunately, the Office Manager was trying to justify the Nurse's action in regards that in my own copy the first page is missing and started educating me about the lab work process! I repeated to the Office manager the same point that I am not required to bring my personal copy and teared off my copy and asked them to assume that its doesn't exist, and I never did bring one!!! All they have to do is to check my ID and pull my Doctor’s Order from their computer, take my blood and close the case. Finally, I been transferred to different nurse and after 20 minutes of argument and 5 minutes lab work, I was able to leave this Office.
I am Senior Citizen with history of Heart Issues (had a Heart Attack 3 years ago). I trying to avoid any stress I can but first time in my life I had a chest pain after visiting the Medical Facility!!! No Apology from the Nurse, No Apology from the Office manager who was standing by the wrong approach of one of her workers. Very Unprofessional, very Careless especially in dealing with old people in Medical Facility and not like in the Fish Market!
After this incident I am going to consider to choose another Company for my future Lab Work because it’s just dangerous to go through all those stress that can lead to another Heart Attack. And what is most important that those stress was caused by Medical Workers in Medical Facility! After I returned home I did some research about the Service provided by Quest Office on 1663 N Clyde Morris Blvd Suite 1, Daytona Beach, FL 32117. Bingo! 2.6 stars from 43 Google reviews. I called the customer service today, was on hold for one hour and six minutes, the representative refuse to get a supervisor for me when she was unable to answer my question and then hung up on me two minutes into the inquiry. I got a call from Credit Collection Services initially, saying my bill was overdue. The reason? Quest got my address wrong. I wanted to confirm that this was a real bill for a valid service because I had never received an invoice, so I set out to get an itemized invoice. When I first called, they asked for my invoice number in order to answer my questions about my bill. However, because I had never received my invoice, I did not have my invoice number. I asked them to send me my invoice, and corrected my address. I did not receive my invoice within the 2-3 weeks they claimed it would arrive by. So I called again. This cycle continued for 3 months.
Quest got my address wrong 3 times and my email wrong twice. It took 9 phone calls each with a hold of 1 to 3 hours over the course of 3 months to receive my invoice, without which I couldn't pay my overdue bill. The only reason I received an itemized invoice was because I had a customer service representative from my insurance provider sit on hold with me for 2 and a half hours and request it from the representative. When I finally did receive my itemized invoice, it was so confusing I really didn't understand what I was being charged for. There were 2 $103 charges for "laboratory testing". I had to pay the nearly $300 out of pocket still not really knowing why I was billed.
The phone menus are endlessly confusing. Part of the reason my address was so difficult to convey was that the phone lines to Quest customer service are very quiet. Neither I nor the insurance representative who helped me with this issue could properly hear the Quest service agent. It is ridiculously unprofessional of Quest to not provide their customer service agents with properly working equipment. It is also unprofessional for Quest to not provide an invoice number to customers who are contacted by Credit Collection Services, and it results in it being very difficult for customers to contact Quest with any questions about their bill or review their bill online in any way. Quest needs to change their customer service policies. They need to hire more representatives, give them better equipment, and probably pay them more. The system takes advantage of errors to make customers pressured to pay without reviewing their bill.

The issue is that my test results were emailed through My Quest and when I went to view them it said "No test results found". I have tried calling every number for quest for help with this issue. No one can help me because they said they were not able to send results to me by email because I purchased them due to privacy. They have "escalated" the situation to support team and nothing gets resolved. There isn't a direct number for test results only an email team that may take 5-7 business days to respond.
I have called about 15 times, spoken to 6 different people and all of them have said, "I see your results are available but we cannot give them to you. It has to be done through my quest only." They also say, "We have "escalated" the situation and it should be delivered by end of day." The results never come in at the end of day. Her twin sister was not even there. Before her blood was drawn, my daughter presented her lab prescription, health insurance card and driver’s license. How in the world could they mess this up?! Then Quest was going to just change the name on the bloodwork, but that’s unethical and against FDA regulations. They ended up saying they need to redo her labs...I said never will I use Quest. This is appalling and apparently has happened to other people at this same location. This is a costly mistake. Never again will I use Quest.

I now have a black and blue mark the size of a half dollar. Today, I dropped off a stool sample and was told it wasn’t right although I followed the directions of yesterday’s tech. Today’s tech threw my stool samples in the rubbish. These people are rude and incompetent. They should be fired and replaced with robots.
