Due to a rare genetic condition, both my son and I require frequent, almost weekly, blood and/or urinary tests and monitoring. When given a choice by the ordering physician, I always have the blood drawn (or urinalysis) at LabCorp. (I am NOT associated with LabCorp in in ANYWAY) If I may elaborate further. Quest has the audacity to charge customers $10 to access reports online through the patient portal. This is absolutely ludicrous. LabCorp provides anywhere, anytime, secure access to results on my mobile or desktop in easy to understand visualizations that virtually anyone should be able to understand. More importantly, this service is of no additional charge to their customers.
I've also noticed a significant deterioration in the quality of customer services (i.e., professionalism, timeliness, friendliness) at Quest facilities in the Alpharetta and Johns Creek GA. You no longer have staff to greet, sign-in and answer questions for arriving patients and phlebotomists serve this duty along with the clinical activities required. Ninety percent of the time (or more) the front desk at one office in Alpharetta is unmanned and clients must wait in hopes of a phlebotomists coming to the front to call back the next patient. It seems to me with the amount of money Quest is saving by not having someone at the front desk they can at least allow patient free access to their online medical records. I could not believe it when I logged in to download my results!!
The wait times are horrible, even when you have a pre-scheduled appointment. It seems the waiting room is always crowded and the facilities are short staffed regardless of the location. The staff are so busy I don't blame them if they are 'short' or stress once you finally get called to see them. I do recommend Quest take a look at their business strategy - having less staff is definitely taking a toll on their overall performance.

I went to the Athens, GA location on October 5th. We were in and out with an easy blood draw. My doctors office called to say that Quest had called them, and they could not send out the blood because of an outstanding bill of $23. The bill was not due until October 6th. I tried calling and was hung up on 3 times. I called my doctors office this morning. We both tried calling to get the matter resolved since I had already paid the bill over the phone. Neither one of us could get an answer, so a nurse from the office drove to the lab. She just informed me that they had disposed of the blood over a $23 balance and there was nothing that could be done since this was the policy of Quest. This is a horrible policy that comes with the worst customer service.

I was undergoing so many tests back in March 2017 as I had a medical condition. One of my blood work was time sensitive. It was assigned by my doctor otherwise I lose one whole cycle. Went to Quest Derry NH to perform the blood work as usual. Before my doctor follow up appointment after 3 weeks from performing the blood work, I called to make sure that they received The results. It turned out that they didn't. Went to Quest Diagnostics the same moment as we live close to the lab and the staff started to investigate.
After spending three hours there, they found that my blood was collected and taken to the lab and then thrown away. They said that the supervisor will call me the next day as it was around 7:30 pm. That next day was my doctor appointment. On our way, we received a call from their supervisor Katherine ** informing that a mistake happened and my blood order was thrown in the garbage and they don't know who did it. She apologized and she was extremely nice and assured my husband that the fees are waived. It was a shock to us because we have now to wait for another cycle.
When we arrived to our appointment, I had no results but we expected that my husband results are there. So the clinic staff started searching for my husband blood work and couldn't find anything. In a time the manager assured that they sent my husband blood work. So the nurses started calling Quest but in vain. No blood work was found. We had to wait for my next cycle to perform another blood work for both of us. During that period Katherine ** informed that she takes full responsibilities and that they will waive the charges in the first cycle. And that our next cycle blood work is for free as an apology from Quest.
Unfortunately nothing is free. We received so many bills so many notices worth $7000. We tried to contact her so many times. She was rude, impolite, irrespectful and she said it's not her responsibility. And we have to follow with the billing department. Tried to complain so many times to their complaint department. Every time we were promised on the phone that they will help us but nothing happened. I wish what happened to me and my husband never happens with another couple. We passed through hard moments and lots of payments because my blood was thrown away.

This was one of the worst experiences/healthcare practices I ever paid for. Besides the great services at the front desk, but once I left that office it turned to a nightmare quick. Waited over a week for my results, sent 5 emails in which none were answered. Called customer service 3 times and was on hold for at least 10 minutes each time, and still never got to talk to a human being. Their online software isn't the best. Yes, once Quest actually sends your results, the online service does make it easy to review but if you need any help or if you have questions it is almost impossible to get a answer! To be honest it just doesn't seem like they care about their clients and just worry about your money! If I could give them a half star I would!

This is just adding to the heap of reviews from people who feel that this company has acted unethically, unconscionably, and without regard to what makes a good society. This company preys on the weak. They charge exorbitant prices when you have insurance, knowing full well that whenever there is confusion or dispute, the costs will be passed along to the powerless consumer who has no recourse. It is absurd that routine tests should have prices that differ based on the insurance that you have. No other industry works this way. If I go to the corner store and they tell me that a pack of gum costs 1000% of the market price, I can refuse to pay and go somewhere else.
What Quest did in this case is that I had routine blood work ordered by my doctor for an annual exam. Quest charged nearly $1000 to the insurance company, who then offered to pay them $114. They accepted. This means that they are doing tests that cost them less than $114 and charging nearly $1000. This is unconscionable, predatory, and unjustifiable. Of course, there was one test that my insurance company did not pay for and then Quest insists that I owe them $250. I am sure that they would accept less than $25 from the insurance company, but if I have to pay for it then it's 10 times as much. Makes sense, right?
I called them multiple times explaining that I needed more time to get the doctor's office to convince the insurance company that the test was "medically necessary" and they told me every time that they would give me another 30 days. Then, they sent the account to collections anyway only two weeks after my most recent phone call. I know that I am powerless, but any opportunity I have to hurt their business I will take it. I will forever insist that I only see providers that do not deal with Quest and if I ever have the option, I will insist that Quest not be given my business. I will encourage everyone I know to do the same. These are horrible people.

Have spent thousand of dollars and would have continued spending hundreds of dollars a year with QUEST, but they have billed me double the price of a test and they are not interested in correcting or accepting a fair price for the service. THEY HAVE BILLED ME DOUBLE WHAT THE CHARGE SHOULD BE. It should have been paid for by Medicare BUT they filled out forms incorrectly!

Quest has one person doing reception, blood taking, billing, processing -- ONE. By my arrival at 11:00 am, 29 patients had already been processed according to the sign in sheet. This is WRONG and probably down-right criminal. It should be investigated. HOW do you take the legally required breaks?

Nobody in this field know what they're doing!! I think I am dealing with a billing scam and I don't know what to do!! How can we trust in a doctor's office when the nurse says that you are not going to get your prescription if she does not collect a sample of your urine??!!

I have been to 5 different Quest locations in North Texas over the course of the last 12 years. I only go there because my insurance will not pay otherwise. First, they are horrible with kids. My 4 yr old was crying and the tech grabbed her shoulders, shook her, and said "If you don't calm down, I'm gonna stick you again!" My teen has been there multiple times where the tech digs around for a vein pointing the needle in different directions going on & out like they have no idea what they're doing. Invariably, after sticking her 3 times they say they couldn't get it because "She's dehydrated & needs to drink more water."
Lastly, I have NEVER seen a tech wash his or her hands. And I mean NEVER! They put different gloves on between people but I see no hand cleansing going on. Between myself and kids, we probably utilize Quest about 6-8 times per year. I always fill out a survey by email afterward but nothing has ever changed. The only positive I can give is that, if you schedule an appointment time, they will take you back at your time even if the waiting room is packed.

Background - I've been going to the Quest in Thorndale, PA for a very long time, and have yet to have ONE pleasant experience. Needles - my veins are very small and they should therefore use a small needle by default (Phlebotomy 101). When I asked about the needle size, I was told that I have to tell them EACH TIME I come in that they need to use a small needle on me. I asked if they can add a note to my account about always using small needles, but they said NO. On the visit where they used the big needle, my arm was bruised for 2 weeks. On another recent visit, I was injected in 3 different places, and left there taped up everywhere, it was ridiculous! That phlebotomist had been there over 20 years (she even stated that she opened that Thorndale office). I had to come back the next day to complete my blood work (hydration issues), but she also advised me NOT to take my blood pressure meds that night.
BP meds - I called my doctor about that and the nurse said that that was the craziest thing she had ever heard. 20 years of experience, really? Billing - be warned that when they do the intake paperwork, they will sometimes tell you that you owe them an estimated amount, and they give you a bunch of credit card options for payment. DO NOT ever pay them a dime!! Say "NO, BILL ME." Let them put the claim through to your insurance 1st. Only pay after your insurance has assessed what you owe. My labs are always covered at 100% by my insurance, and I never get billed a penny by my insurance after my visits to Quest. I made the mistake of paying them the estimate one time, that will never happen again! Also note that they won't ever voluntarily give you the option to bill you, but IT IS a valid option. I tell them that every time I go in and they don't ever push back/argue with me.
Employees - they are very very unpleasant and rough. I am not sure if they hate their job, their employer, or both. They all complain about everything under the sun. Several have complained about issue such as; having to rush to open other offices in the same morning, being short staffed, the lab request from the doctor has too many pages (really?).
Customer experience - the worse experience ever, and I have spoken to others who have visited other Quest labs, and they have shared similar feedback. Quest management, if you don't start treating your customers right, the Malvern, PA location will be the 1st of many to get closed. I have visited my last Quest lab this past week, and will be taking my business elsewhere starting next month. Location and convenience is just not enough anymore.

I went to the one in Lowell MA. First of all the woman had an attitude from the minute I got there. Just her demeanor and tone of voice made me very uncomfortable. She even asked me what was wrong with me. When I went to the restroom she kept accusing me of trying to flush the toilet. I was trying to get toilet paper and it was stuck to the metal container it was in was making noise. She accused me 3 times of trying to flush the toilet. She had to have had her ear to the door. Then when I came out their sink wasn't working and she offered me hand sanitizer. That is disgusting. I cannot stand using the bathroom without washing my hands. How unsanitary, I am disgusted. Fix your sinks! How are you going to have no working sinks in a place like that? Are the drug test results even trustworthy?

I have been using this lab for many years and with the same health insurance. I have had blood work done annually. Every year. Same insurance. No problems. Today I was asked for my driver's license and a credit card was demanded!! This NEVER happened before. Does this sound like the start of identity theft? I was very upset and should have left, but I handed over the documentation like a fool. Now I will be worried for months. I am planning to cancel my credit card. All this because of suspicious behavior! Not worth it. Will use another lab.

Every time I have used Quest, it's been a terrible experience. They are disorganized, often rude, and have a bad reputation among doctors. I'm a very patient, well mannered person, and even I get irritated with them. Have your doctor recommend a different lab to get blood done. All of my doctors have nothing good to say about Quest. They are infamous for messing up orders and also for being rude and inconsiderate to patients. Here are two of my worst experiences:
1) Seeing that their hours were 7AM to 4PM, I arrived at 3:30PM. The employee was noticeably irritated and told me that they were already starting to close up. I insisted that the hours were until 4PM, but he tried to tell me that "We need a half hour to clean up and close." Once I asked to speak to his manager, he complied and let me come in.
2) This what the experience that prompted me to write this review. I had blood taken using a direct order from my Doctor. A week later, my doctor informed me that Quest didn't take all of the blood that was on the order, so I had to go a second time. I tried to verify with the person taking the blood that everything was on the order, but she insisted that if something was missing it was the doctor's fault. Well, they got it wrong AGAIN! My doctor told me that they have constant complaints from patients regarding Quest and had me get blood taken elsewhere. I had to get blood taken different times when it should have been once!

I called several Quest Diagnostics locations multiple times and the employees did not answer. The message went straight to voicemail after multiple calls and the mailbox was always full. I finally got in touch with someone and informed them that the online appointment scheduler does not work. It will not submit my request. They cut me off when I was speaking and gave me a number that I had ALSO previously called and was a broken landline. I could not get in touch with a single person. Bottom line, customer service is a disaster.

Nobody EVER answers the number at my local office, a real problem since I want to ask questions about the local office. The toll-free number is a rolling mess of a thing to get where you want. There's something wrong with their system today. The automated system recording was loud enough to be clearly understood but the operators were all especially quiet (phone system problem). They say JD Power might call me. I hope they do. I will leave a scathing review.
I'm sorry, national numbers are nice for businesses whose locations aren't intended to deal with customers face-to-face, but a MEDICAL service, I should be able to talk to the location I would be attending. THE ONLY THING I can say is that the two operators I spoke to nice and courteous. Looking at the other reviews here, and their barely one-star rating, I am glad I canceled my appointment.

I arrived at the Quest Lab in Milford, MA. I had signed in and also shown them my credentials. They drew about 5 vials of blood. I receive a call from the doctor that they did not receive the labs. It was determined that the Lab had entered my name incorrectly (it indicated I was a male). They did not complete the order and nor did they send it to the lab. There was no follow up at all. When I called their customer service yesterday I was told that they would communicate with the Quest lab in Milford MA on Water St. I'm still pending a response. I'm shocked that this company is still in business based on the complaints that I'm seeing. They seem to provide a needed service, but their lack of follow up and their procedures to resolve issues is seriously lacking.

I had lab work done at Quest labs in 2/17. I told the lab tech that my insurance policy had changed. She looked at my insurance card and said, "no it's the same number". When I received the EOB from insurance company, that had that it wouldn't pay anything. So I called Quest and told them the problem. The lady I talked to acted like I didn't know what I was talking about and made me read the whole EOB to her before she asked for the correct insurance policy number. When I gave it to her she stated "oh that's the problem. Your number is different"... well duh!! Next month I received a corrected bill but it didn't show the discount from the insurance company. I called Quest again and told them the problem. They asked me to fax them the correct EOB. I did.
Another bill came 1-2 weeks later. It didn't show any changes. Another phone call to QUEST to go through the whole problem again. She asked me again to fax the EOB. I did. 1-2 weeks later, another bill. You guessed it. Same problem. Now I'm getting bills every week. I got a past due bill as I hadn't paid on it till they straightened it up. I even emailed them and faxed the EOB again. Called them 6/5 and they said they'd send me out a bill showing that I had a zero balance as I had since paid them and they were showing that I had. Today, 6/12, I received a new bill with the original amount of the bill ($1000+), not showing the discounted amount, nor the $200 they charged my charge card, nor the balance I paid them.
What does a person need to do to get things taken care of. I have written an email to their patient advocacy person now as I'm tired of dealing with them. Thinking of hiring a lawyer for the continuous harassment receiving now. Does anyone at Quest know anything? Either they do and their company is running a scam by trying to get more money. Or they're dumb. But everyone I talked to on the phone was very courteous. We shall see. But if you can avoid it... avoid Quest labs like the plague.

I have been talking to Quest billing department for bloodwork test I was billed for that my doctor did not order. I told them to take it off my bill and they said they wouldn't unless my doctor called them and told them to do so. I called my doctor's nurse and she said it was never ordered and my file shows it was not ordered. She also gave me a copy of what was ordered. I told this to Quest and they said it must have been called in at a later time over the phone. I told this to my doctors nurse and she said they always fax with doctor's signature to them. It is also documented in file. When I told this to Quest they still refuse to take off my bill. I asked them for the proof since they should have a copy of the order from doctor, which they do not.
I noticed also Quest has made changes. They no longer have a girl up front that handles the insurance and billing and logging information into computer for patients and their blood draw technicians. They now have their technicians type the doctor's orders along with the codes into the computer before they can draw your blood. Believe me, it now takes forever. I arrived with my son at 8:09 am to get blood work done before school. Although the building was open, the quest lab had no one available in reception until 8:30 am. The clipboard did not have a fresh sign in sheet prepared for the day. People were arriving early to get their labs done and I started a sign in sheet and placed it on their clipboard so that it would be clear what order patients arrived in. We stepped out for 15 minutes so my son could pick up lunch at Subway and when we returned at 8:25 am (before the lab was officially taking patients), the woman from Quest had removed our sign-in sheet and started a new sign-in sheet and had people sign in random order. She reprimanded me that we started a sign-in sheet (when she failed to provide one for the day!).
If this is Quest policy, not to have a sign in sheet prepared until the minute the lab opens for patients, it should change. A sign-in sheet should be available in the morning as patients arrive, not when the lab is ready to take the 1st patient at 8:30 am. We were the 1st ones to arrive and ended up 5th on the list after she caused the chaos. This was a very frustrating experience for us at Quest and my son did not have a chance to eat breakfast before school, after his labs, because we were 5th to be seen - instead of 1st, like we arrived. The patient names could have easily been transferred to her new sign-in sheet in the order that the patients arrived in, instead she chose to be spiteful. Extremely poor customer service. No wonder other Quest reviews reflect a 1-star rating out of 5-stars. It's time that Quest management implements more customer friendly policies and replaces the rude employees.

I worked and worked to get this filed through the proper insurance process. They discounted the $1104.35 by $952.03 and then insurance paid $121.85, leaving me $30.47 to pay. So, if I happened to be a non-aggressive person and took things at face value, I would have paid over a $1,000 for nothing. This overstatement of cost incurred has occurred on every statement and invoice I have received from them. On 2/16/17, Quest decided they could not do the complicated test and forwarded specimens to the Univ of Miami. As of today, March 3, 2017, Quest still cannot tell me where the tests are, nor the tests results, and have been extremely rude in every conversation I have had with them. My doctor has also repeatedly called both Quest and the Univ of Miami. TODAY, I CONTACTED, WITH THE HELP OF BLUE CROSS, THE UNIV OF MIAMI PATHOLOGY DEPT AFTER SEEING THEIR BILL ON BLUE CROSS website. It seems they sent the report several days ago to Quest but were glad to fax my doctor a copy. Quest had failed when sending the test request to the Univ of Miami to have the results faxed to my doctor, even though the order was marked "STAT," once more showing their disregard for life. I am a retired orthopedic surgeon who had gone to a local Quest Diagnostics lab at 8501 Arlington Blvd suite 120 Fairfax Virginia Tele 703-205-9686 to have blood work drawn for a follow-up visit to a local cardiologist. I had been given a list of required laboratory test from a visit that had occurred over one year previous to this visit. I also had some symptoms consistent with enlargement of my prostate and wanted to add two tests to the battery of blood work test that I was going to get for this visit and was informed that I could not add additional tests to this doctors required test even though I was a legally license medical doctor which was greatly disturbing to me. Being nice I just acquiesced to this foolish unreasonable policy and they call my cardiologist who okay my additional requests for a urine analysis and PSA (blood test for prostate cancer).
This was drawn but I worried that they did not have the correct diagnostic codes (call ICD-10 codes) that should be associated with those two tests. The predicated outcome occurred when I suddenly got a bill from this lab for over $750 when all of my previous lab work was covered by Medicare and my secondary Tricare in the past. I even had reasons on my explanation of benefits from Tricare stating that Medicare had refused to pay for some of these tests because they were considered "unnecessary."
So I wanted to see if the correct codes had been utilized to justify tests that had been done over one year in the past and had been authorized to be paid by Medicare and met a huge roadblock. They would not confirm or deny that they had used the correct codes (which they had not I came to discover later). I could not have them check the codes utilized to see if they were correct. I was told that they could only get this information from my cardiologist and not me (though I am a license doctor!). It turned out that incorrect codes had been utilized and they sent in that information to Medicare and though my bill was reduced by 24 + dollars it still was large.
So I called again the billing department and this time when asked what codes had been utilized against each test they said that they did not have access to this information and that they could not get to that information (which was no a bold faced lie) which I did not appreciate since all medical billing systems have this type of information. Therefore a customer could not check to see if there had been mistakes in the utilization of these codes which could lead to nonpayment by an insurance company (this case Medicare).
They said I could not get that from them but would have to go to my primary insurance organization which in this case was Medicare who also will not give out this information except by mail and would mail be an "summary of benefits" which I am not sure would give me this type of detail. Medicare will always send a document back to the billing entity (this case Quest Diagnostics) with that detail called an "EOB" ("explanation of benefits"). In effect there was no way that a customer in this case even a doctor could find/discover a possible clerical error leading to a nonpayment of a test(s).
So two points of this complaint: 1. I consider it highly, highly unethical that there is no simple time saving way a customer could ever discover a legitimate billing error leading to nonpayment of a test by an insuring organization thereby sticking the customer with an illegitimate bill. In this case I was told a direct lie that this information cannot even be seen by a billing person so blatant dishonesty is now involved by this large organization. 2. Not even a doctor can order his own diagnostic test through this lab. Result: I will never go back to this lab again nor advise any patient to utilize this organization even though in my own practice I used previously Quest Diagnostics for over 20 years. It is amazing that this lab which is probably the largest in this country is so unethical in its business practices.

I had to wait 2 hours to do a urine test, which I was about to explode. I think Quest needs to do more hiring. Those tests are not cheap and people don't have the time to sit around for 2 hours and more for something that takes 15 or less. Shame on you Quest.

Cost, cost, cost, with insurance?? I visited Quest PSC and was informed, before my blood draw (with doctor's order) and active insurance (that costs me and my family $1800 a month), that I still need to pay $180 for the 6 tests my doctor ordered. There was nothing they could do, I was relegated to pay and could not do anything about it. The wait was long and the phlebotomist was "ok."
I have since began researching this issue and found (in Texas) a patient can chose what lab they want to use. There are a lot more option than I first thought, I now use a small, private lab in downtown Dallas, they charge me upfront (1/3 the price of Quest for most tests). And they provide me a super bill to submit to my insurer and I get the money back. It is a little more work, but they were very informative and walked me through the process. Please, please, please do your research and don't get taken by these titan of industry anymore. We should support local, if you live in Dallas ADX is a good choice, but there are many others that will work with you much better than Quest worked with me. They can reduce prices, examine your insurance, and keep you informed much better than you think. The rules are changing and it's up to the consumer to stay informed.

When I call them they treat me like an idiot. When I ask about the differences about this price and the one they would get from any insurance company, they just said "well this is the test price". Go somewhere else to do your test or at least be sure it is cover before so you can negotiate the price. They are doing more that 1100 taking advantage of a pregnant woman. They just have no ethic.

But it never fails, when I receive my insurance EOB, there is always a balance due. When I phone my insurance provider, they explain that something was coded wrong, this happens every time myself and my wife go, without fail. When we call the insurance, the billing gets corrected, but I should not have go through this each time. Each time we go to QUEST, we even make sure to tell them the lab work is for routine screening, yearly physical. The script is even written routine on it. Watch out people, look at your insurance coverage for yearly physical, most insurance companies cover 100% on physical related procedures. Your deductible is not a issue on routine physical.

At 8:54am I have finished drinking the glucose drink. Please note the nurse has not recorded any times. I have done it myself. At 9:32am I was called in for my blood to be drawn. I was surprised that my blood was drawn before one hour was up, but assumed that the medical professionals know better. Oh, Lord, I was wrong. My results came up higher. I was shocked since it is my second pregnancy and I have not had gestational diabetes with my son. I told my family members who are doctors about it and mentioned that my blood was drawn almost 30 minutes earlier. They immediately said that my test was invalid and the lab must retake it at its own expense. To say I was upset is to say nothing.
I immediately called my doctor's office and began the investigation. Quest Lab at first said that I would fail the test anyway, which does not even matter and they could not know it for sure anyway. Then when I pushed for the further investigation and explanation of what happened, they refused to accept any liability and said that they have done everything right. They have never refunded my money and I have transferred to a different doctor after this. Sure thing my foot will never step into another Quest Diagnostics office again. I also plan to file a small court claim since accepting the responsibility is not Quest Diagnostics policy and they would rather deal with the court and spending money on a lawyer to represent them.

When I contacted Quest via online, they flat told me that, as their policy, they wouldn't give me any information the reason for the payment denial by Medicare, and that I needed to contact Medicare and our supplemental insurer.
I then contacted their customer service via phone, hoping a real person can be more helpful. When I call the toll free number listed on the bill, it only gave me two options: one for getting a copy the bill and another for bill payment. I just pressed "0". To my surprise it directed me to their customer service line. To my dismay, the person named Linda, was very abrasive and rude. I relayed the information I got from Medicare, which was that the documents Medicare received did not meet the criteria for payment. I requested Linda to resubmit the claim with proper information, I was again flatly told that "We wouldn't do that". No explanation why.
Then, she told me that they did not make any mistakes and, if there were, they were made by my doctor. For exactly a year I've been battling with Quest Diagnostics. I'm billed $482.39 for a standard, routine laboratory test that was absolutely covered under my former insurance (Blue Cross, Blue Shield of Kansas City). Initially, the doctor's office had in fact submitted the wrong coding but corrected it numerous times but the one and only "corrected" claim that Quest Diagnostics re-submitted to the insurance was actually not corrected at all: they simply re-submitted the same claim with the same, wrong coding.
At this point, I have lost count of how many times I've called Quest only to hear "there's nothing we can do", or "your doctor's office has to correct this mistake and re-submit this claim" which again, has been corrected and re-submitted. To make matters worse, the doctor's practice has permanently closed. It seems absolutely ridiculous to have to pay almost $500 when having one of the best insurances in the country because Quest can't correct four letters. Literally, four letters! The absurdity of this situation is incredible considering that the same exact test was successfully covered less than a year before, for the exactly same amount of $482.39.
I'm not entirely sure that this battle is worth fighting any further as I've spent countless hours on the phone between my insurance, my doctor's office and Quest Diagnostics when it's beyond clear that Quest are the ones who have dropped the ball. I suppose that for the sake of my mental health I should probably pay the bill which on principle seems absolutely wrong. Lastly, I've been receiving calls from what seems to be their collection department. I got billed for a drug test in March 2016. Also, I was told by my doctor I tested positive for marijuana. I never took a drug test in March. My last drug test was in December 2015. I haven't smoke pot since 1974. I'm trying to find out what's going on. Getting information from Quest is very difficult. Trying to get my doctor's office to show the video of my visit just is not going to happen. I feel like a victim. They should just allow me to go into a local Quest office and get the information I need. Medical care in Florida sucks.

I have blood work done routinely because I am on Warfarin. The woman who worked there for the past year or so left for another job and the subs are awful: long waits, bad attitude for first sub who told me when I asked why there were 6 people waiting and I was not taken at my designated time but... a walk-in was taken ahead of me. She said, "That's the difference between First World and Third World people. Third World people are worried about food and First World are worried about waiting in line."
Afterwards I went out to my car and saw blood running down my arm. She had neglected to put enough band-aids over the site. Two weeks later a sub went right through my vein. I had to yell out in pain. The site was swollen, raised, and painful. I called Stacy at Quest, emailed her, and sent pictures. Never heard a word. STAY AWAY! Have since found out that if you are on blood thinners, you can have your cardiologist order a home kit and you can do your own blood by pricking your finger. A nurse trainer comes to your house and gives a lesson. Perfect! No more attitude, lines, and incompetence.

I had a saliva drug test done where it was sent to Quest Diagnostics to be done. It came back positive for Marijuana even though I know for a 100% fact this is mistake. Guess what? You don't like their results and don't agree with it? Well guess what? You have to PAY THEM $150 to have them do further testing when it's CLEARLY THEIR MISTAKE. They messed up my results and I have to pay THEM? WHAT? How absurd is that? I'm lucky I'm only 20 years old and don't have a family to feed. Imagine being someone who has a low paying job, living paycheck to paycheck, and gets a false positive on a drug test. This person living paycheck to paycheck isn't able to shell out $150 to prove their innocence when this company messes up. Like how freaking absurd.
Honestly, this place is horrible. I hope this place gets put out of business one day. I've had labs done here plenty and it too is an absolute pain. Get your stuff together Quest. I am filing this review after numerous attempts to discuss this episode with representatives from the company. Full disclosure I am an emergency physician and I accompanied my (80+) mother to an appointment for lab work. When the technician was about to draw her blood I watched to determine if she would wash her hands. She began to put on her gloves and I asked her to wash or sanitize her hands. She told me that in her Quest training she was told that she did not need to wash her hands. She told me that she did question the Quest trainers because in her technical school they were trained to wash/sanitize their hands before each encounter. She also told me that she sanitized her hands prior to bringing us back to the procedure area. This is not helpful as she touched multiple sites such as computers, doorknobs pens etc.
It takes an enormous effort for my mother to get ready to go to an area for a blood draw. To reschedule would have been very difficult. My mother hates conflict so she allowed the tech to draw her blood. She did not want to complain because she was worried about burning a bridge in her healthcare world. She is her own health care decision maker so I respected this decision.
These are the World Healthcare Organization best practice recommendations for blood draw: "Perform hand hygiene and put on gloves. Perform hand hygiene; wash hands with soap and water, and dry with single-use towels; or if hands are not visibly contaminated, clean with alcohol rub. Use 3 ml of alcohol rub on the palm of the hand, and rub it into fingertips, back of hands and all over the hands until dry. After performing hand hygiene, put on well-fitting, non-sterile gloves."

Probably not their fault since they have to deal with irate customers because their employer is too greedy to hire another couple of employees. Inconvenience customers and have employees take the brunt of complaints - great way to run a business! My out of pocket cost is around $100 and I'm sure my insurance is paying a lot more (of my premiums). Good way to treat those who pay for your services and the people who actually do the work.

Me and my husband had to go for routine blood work, so I made appointments online for both of us. We got to the lab and they were extremely busy. When they called us to the back I asked if my husband can go with me since I have severe anxiety. I went first. The woman began taking my blood, which wasn't as bad as my last blood work where my arm hurt the whole day and the following. Next up was my husband. His went well. No problems there.
A week later my doctor calls and tells me I need to go for another set of blood work because the test results showed a level of 247. I freaked out. After being so upset about this and making all the appointments to do more blood work, which again is very hard for me to do, I asked my husband to test my sugar in the morning. Let me add my husband is diabetic. I am not. He tested my sugar the next morning after fasting and I was at 100. I was happy and starting to wonder, "Did they mix up our blood?" I had my husband call his doctor. The purpose for his blood work was to test to see if he can begin a new medication for his MS. They said his blood work came back normal. When he asked about the blood sugar -- know full well he is always high -- they said his BG was 97. At that I knew they must've mixed us up. The only thing my blood work ever produced was an elevated triglyceride level.
What upsets me the most is what if this blood work result showed a more terminal illness? Not to mention the medication my husband needs depends on his accurate blood results. Everyone kept telling me they don't make mistakes or there is a margin of error. Why is this acceptable? How many people have had their test results mixed up? Not to mention I have to pay the co-pay for blood work that resulted in a mix-up!! I am beyond angry!

I was sent an invoice for $500 in April of 2016 when my date of service was October of 2015! Mind you that this invoice was sent after I had already filled out a hardship form as well as sending in all required documents and making a payment after my balance was adjusted.
When I called in to ask why I was then being sent another invoice, they told me they had no record or documentation of my payment or the documentation I sent in. So then I had to request the hardship forms to be sent out AGAIN (!) only to wait over a week to receive nothing. Then called them, only to be told that they had no control over the US postal office, when I know damn well it has nothing to do with the postal office when I get my mail everyday in a timely fashion at 10:30 am everyday. I received a totally unexpected bill for $218.48 from Quest in mid-August for a homocysteine test my doctor had ordered. Since I had this test at least twice before which was covered by Blue Cross HMO before I changed to Aetna, I was surprised that Aetna Medicare Advantage did not pay for it. I called Aetna and they referred me to their website which outlines their reasons for denial of coverage of the homocysteine test. Of course I strongly disagree with their (supposedly) science-based analysis of the merit of the homocysteine test for cardiovascular risk (and assume my doctor did also, since he ordered the test), but was helpless to change their denial of coverage in my case.
I was prepared to pay the Quest Lab bill ($218.48) for the homocysteine test until I called a local lab (Any Lab Test) and found that they only charge $89.00 for the test. Then I checked lef.org and found the homocysteine test offered for $64.00. I then called Quest and spoke to a lady named Juanida, who told me she would research whether or not the bill could be adjusted and get back to me. During the conversation with Juanida I emphasized the fact that the Quest bill was at least twice to three times the amount the other labs were charging for the same test. I also was very upset that I had no bargaining power at all. I had no prior opportunity to bargain for a better price. Quest simply dictated the amount they wanted me to pay, and I had no input whatsoever about the amount. I had to pay it -- or else.
I can't think of a similar situation -- outside of healthcare billing -- where the customer is ordered to pay for an item or service without having any say at all in the price, and no ability to shop around for a better bargain. Since I didn't hear back from her over a couple of weeks, I called again on 9/21 and she said that she was hopeful, and in fact, fairly sure, the bill could be reduced, and would call me back when she got an answer. She did not call me back, so I called her at least twice more over a period of a couple of weeks, leaving messages. Still no response.
I am extremely angry. It is not just a matter of being billed too high a price for a service I never contracted for with Quest Labs either directly or indirectly. It is my realization that we patients as consumers have no bargaining power in the U.S. medical care system and are basically helpless. And indeed, this whole scenario of my dealings with Aetna and Quest seems to me symptomatic of what's wrong with healthcare in the U.S., which has degenerated into a greedy free-for-all-money-grubbing battle among insurance companies, pharmacies, laboratories, doctors, hospitals, corporate controlled medicine and big pharma for financial advantage and huge corporate profits, with patients best interests not even on the radar.

I was taken back to the draw room at 10:20, and I had orders from 3 different doctors for routine blood work. The woman in charge yelled at me because she did not want to do 3 orders at once because the paperwork would take too long. I offered to come back at another time, and she said "no." I told her my doctors tell me to come when I have them all at once so that I only have to get stuck once and that I've always done it, just not at the Woodbourne location. She immediately had an attitude and said that she's been there 30 years and their policy is to come in for one doctor at a time. She sat at the computer and did my paperwork for 25 minutes while I quietly waited.
During this time, I was trying very hard not to cry, as I was extremely anxious about getting blood drawn and then to be treated so rudely; I felt sick. When she finally drew my blood, she told me she would have to take a lot, so I told her the last time I had a lot taken, I almost passed out. She came right over and stuck me and started filling up the tubes. In the middle of this, she was yelling into the waiting room to the patients waiting and to her one other employee who was in the other room. She paid no mind to me sitting there, uncomfortable and anxious. She didn't even have the needle out all the way before she put a urine sample cup in my face and told me to get up right away and go to the bathroom. No concern if I was dizzy or feeling faint. My physician uses the services of Quest for lab work. It has not been a pleasant experience. I have not gotten ANY of my results, although I've requested them several times. They have NO problem sending out bills for the lab work, however. Why am I paying for labs that you probably did not even complete?? It is ridiculous. Then, if you go to their site, there is the option to "upgrade" your account to see past lab results. Why do I have to pay to see results that I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR?? This is ludicrous.

When a friend from China, visiting the U.S., had a medical problem, she used the little she had to see a Doctor. Unknowingly and without her consent they took a swab from her Virginia. She paid for a (2) scans and two Doctors visits. Then got a bill from Quest for $1100 + for blood work that wasn't even taken. She has no money to pay this charge. Especially when NO blood was taken. This experience has given her a bad impression TO SAY THE LEAST of our American healthcare system. There are many people without insurance in the states but when people like Quest take advantage of the sick and people in need they need to be convicted in a court of law. Especially when they are kicking back 25% to the Doctors. I have had bad experiences in the past with Quest and they have put me in a financial hole. With the price of healthcare today it is a catastrophe when you get sick. How and where do you turn to address this problem.

If you are considering going to this laboratory, please read this first! First visit I waited in the waiting room for 15 minutes listening to the two employees talk about "House Hunters" and not even acknowledging I was there. When my blood was finally taken, the needle was adjusted while still in my arm. I suspect this is why I had a massive bruise for over a week after, which has never happened before.
I could deal with the unprofessionalism and unskilled blood withdrawal, but what was unacceptable was they lost my samples. 4 samples went missing and at first they claimed they had no record of it. I only discovered this after not receiving my results and called to inquire. How do you lose 4 samples with my name, phone number, and the original lab request from my doctor, that also had my name and his name on it? I can't imagine what kind of ineptitude, irresponsibility, and probably sheer laziness that has to be involved in losing a patient's samples. I finally called the main Quest Diagnostics a second time to try to get some answers. The woman I spoke to called the San Leandro lab where she was able to confirm I dropped off the samples, and that they had sent the samples out, but have no idea where. They just randomly sent the samples somewhere and again have no record of it.
I should also mention the person in SL had said she was going to call my doctor to see if he could provide her with more information so we can track them down. NO attempt to do this was made. I am still waiting to hear back, but at this point who even knows if the samples they sent are mine and not mixed up with someone else's. This entire debacle has been handled so poorly, I have zero faith in this laboratory. The fact that they handle highly sensitive information and specimens with absolutely no professional care is not just disappointing, but scary. Also, in the waiting room there is a place where you can take a survey or leave comments regarding your visit. It is no surprise they took all the cards out so people can't complain. No worries there, I am filing a complaint with their main laboratory, health department, and more. Absolutely unacceptable, and I urge others to never go to this facility, for your own health and safety.

My wife and I have been waiting for test results for over two weeks now, when we were initially told the test results usually take a week. After 14 days of waiting, we contacted the doctor who will be reviewing and providing us with the results. His response was that "Quest usually takes longer on this test, and I honestly haven't been given a good reason as to why." This test will tell us if our first child is healthy or not, and this isn't something we really feel like waiting on. I have contacted their customer service and am now seeing if I can cancel the test so we can go to a different facility. At best, I will attempt to only pay a portion of the fees incurred but based on some of the horror stories here, I don't anticipate that being easy. 'Merica!

I was told by the lab lady that Quest is under new management and they want 50.00 on the spot or I get no lab work done. I've been doing my best to pay them monthly but it's not enough now. The consequences are that there are many elderly and children who are going to get hurt. I have insurance but that's not enough. It seems my life is only worth 50.00 to them.

Quest did my blood work and did not fill out the insurance forms correctly then billed me because the insurance did not pay them. I called them 5 times, my insurance BCBS called them 6 times, and my husband's union rep. was on a three way call with them and the insurance company trying to explain to them how to bill the insurance company so they could get paid. They said they finally understood and would change the billing, but they did not do it and bill me again and again for two years.
Finally after trying to get them to bill it the right way to get paid I received a threatening letter from collections. So after two years I said "the hell with it" and paid the 43.32. Their employees are not very bright and are very rude. Please do not go there if you wants your labs done correctly. Oh yes I forgot, my doctor's nurse even call them and they still did not understand. I think the woman understood but was too lazy to do her job. Which is frustrating as a practice because they don't even offer to find out. They have poor customer service skills and always seem to be in a bad mood.
Almost all of my patients complain and dread going to Quest. When I called Quest and spoke with a Susan she was rude and did not even offer to find out about a specific test that she called me about. If I could have rated it no stars I would have!!!! When I called Susan back twice she never answered but when I called from my personal cell phone they answered automatically on the first ring but asked me to hold for nearly 20 minutes!!!!!! I have an upcoming semi-annual checkup with my primary care physician and went to Quest Diagnostics for my pre-visit lab work. I have ConnectiCare Medicare health insurance and Quest is the contracted lab. There was no extraordinary testing done like genetic or anything out of the ordinary. But when I saw the bill and what ConnectiCare paid, I nearly fainted. The total bill was $954.76. The technician took about 2 minutes to draw 3 vials of blood. I gave Quest a co-pay of $25.00 and ConnectiCare paid Quest $239.81.
Although my co-pay was $25 and I reached into my monthly S.S. check of $1000 a month to pay this copay, I am disgusted at the blatant overcharging for laboratory services by Quest Diagnostics. The entire amount of this bill adds up against my annual yearly medical expenses that send me into the doughnut hole. Subsequently I will reach the doughnut hole much sooner and have to pay more out of pocket. I feel that there is no way to justify a $954.76 charge for a routine blood test. And speaking as a nurse who worked hard for 35 years in my profession, I think this is a clear case of overcharging and inflating prices in order to get more out of the insurance companies that use Quest Diagnostics. Patients are being ripped off and insurance companies are being ripped off by vulture companies like Quest Diagnostics. Shame on them all.

Given a choice, I would never use nor recommend the services of Quest Diagnostics. I fortunately have another lab that I can use that is approved by my insurance company. However they are approved by my husband's insurance company. I spent two hours of my valuable time on the telephone this morning attempting to speak with someone regarding a billing issue. (This is the second time for this same type of billing/payment screw up made by them.) I find them to be totally unhelpful and incompetent.
We received a THIRD NOTICE (Past Due Notice) in the mail from them. Approximately one month ago I sent them information (check number and date of payment) showing the bill had been paid. They however state they have no record of it and make it incumbent upon the patient to spend hours on the phone proving to them that they have been paid. They have an extremely inefficient and incompetent billing department. The Quest Diagnostics representative I spoke with today alluded to our being put in to Collection for the invoice in question. I spoke with a customer service representative at my husband's insurance company and they assured me that the invoice had been paid and that the check had been cashed by Quest.
We fortunately do not have any serious medical issues but can you imagine someone with very bad health having to put up with this nonsense. Quest Diagnostics is an extremely poor representative of the medical community. I can see why after reading all of the other reviews and my experience with them that they have only one star out of a five-star rating on this consumer site.

Fast forward two WEEKS and the employer says they haven't gotten my drug screen results. I call Quest to see what's going on using the little receipt they gave me if I had questions and was told they couldn't tell me anything because the employer is the client, not me.
Just today the employer contacts me and says there are problems with my drug screen results and asks for a chain of custody form which Quest didn't give me (all I got was that tiny slip of paper that they called a receipt). I took a picture of that and sent it to the employer. I have been reading here on this subject for a while now, and see all the bad, but when things are good, no one can seem to write. I just want to say in this day and age, workers do several jobs, and so it may seem to the patient that we are rude or taking our time, let me explain. Rude can be misconstrued by a "receptionist" actually concentrating on the task at hand, so that all insurance info is right, so that you don't get "unpaid" bills by your insurance company. If your Dr. doesn't put the correct DX code on your paperwork, you will get billed. It at that point is not quest's mistake, it is the Dr.'s. The Quest "receptionist" really phlebotomist is not trained in billing. So this is why there are numbers to call to discuss your bill. Call the right number and you will speak to a person, just ask a quest receptionist for that number.
Aetna, Cigna, BCBS, want a estimated patient responsibility at time of service. That's new? No it is not. But it is because the person at the front window until now has not been made to ask. Now they have to. You may ask why now. Well, from all the people who don't pay their bills, this is why. If you ran a business, you too would want to get paid for your services, correct? It's not something new, it's something that your insurance states your responsibility may be up to. What isn't used is credited back to your card, which is why a "card" is used. United Health Care... you are out of network. You will pay. If you don't have your insurance card, you may not get serviced. It too is a must upon being seen, every single time if the receptionist is doing the job right. Going to your Dr. you need your insurance card, and a co-payment right? This is the same type of environment - that's the way insurances work.
They can also NOT give you your results, because it at that point, is not your property and is a HIPAA issue, it is your Dr.'s property. Go to MyQuest.com and sign up for your results you can get them there. Nor can they even get into the "report" area on the computer. If your Dr. states he didn't get the report... rest assured you would have gotten a call to let you know they did not get all of your blood draw, and to please return, and that phlebotomist would definitely know about it because the phlebotomist would be making that call, and would have gotten reprimanded. When there is 2 or 3 people working hard to get you in, in a timely manner, and get everything perfect, after seeing 15 people waiting at the door, they need to keep people moving. It's not that they are trying to be rude, they are in concentration mode to get this task done and keep everyone happy and healthy.
Not only do they have to go down the list that must be signed upon entering, but they are also trying to follow a list where people actually have appointments. Remember the people you see at a Patient Service Center does not just enter and draw blood. They spin down your blood, keep the integrity of the test, freeze it, pour it off, and get it ready to be taken to the main lab to be tested. It's a very prestigious job, and sometimes overwhelming when they can't find a certain code, can't read a Dr.'s order, or someone falls ill, or a Dr. can't be found, with 20 people waiting. Rest be assured, they can hear complaining out there. They want to be the best they can for you, and to make sure there are no flaws as if it were their own blood tests.
At the end of your visit you are handed a little green paper to phone in or go on the computer to state how your visit went today. Do you do that? So this is just a little bit of an explanation of what you may THINK is not always what it IS!

They herd you in from the main room, and if you're thinking you're being called to go in, they're actually put you in another large room with everyone else. The people are not pleasant at all. Second and they just started this, they now require a credit card up front and there is a $75 cap. So whatever the insurance doesn't cover, they recoup through that cap. I had two separate orders done on the same day. For one of them, they charged the insurance $798. You can read about my experience in virtually all the other reviews here, so let me bring up a point. This review site doesn't seem overly reputable. It collects private information from every single person who comes here wanting to post a review. Not just an email address, but a physical address, phone number, etc. All these 1-star ratings coming from people who are willing to give up such information to an unknown company online just to share the horrible specifics of their visit should tell you very clearly how bad of a company this is.
For my part, on my first visit, to pick up a specimen collection container, I was made to wait while the attendant/receptionist handled a string of people who came in after me. Then I returned to the counter and she didn't even remember me after fifteen minutes! She'd completely forgotten who I was. She tried to make me sign in again. Then, a woman who was waiting on the other side of the waiting room came over. She had been waiting for 45 minutes and had ALSO been forgotten! Just left her to sit there.
So when I went to return the specimen this morning, I was less than inclined to sit down and wait when I was instructed once again - sit down holding my container of urine in a public waiting room. She instructed me to wait until she was done with the person who had come in before me. While she assisted that person, two more people came in. As she finished with the first person, I peeked around the wall to get her attention, and she raised her voice "Sir, you have to wait! These people need to be signed in!" I was scolded for doing as instructed.
I bit my lip. I very much wanted to share my thoughts to this horrible person, but the only thing that came to mind was the retribution that could come. I very much believe she or one of her co-workers would contaminate my sample in spite. I refuse to return to this place, nor any of their other offices. This company will not get any more of my money if I have anything to say about it.

Beware! Never use this company. My daughter went to a doctor that used this company and this company coded something wrong and tried to have her pay for all the lab work which was covered by insurance. They started calling day and night requesting payment. The insurance company United Healthcare paid for the correct amount and told Quest that this other amount is not the patient responsibility and they had made a coding mistake. United Healthcare faxed and mailed them this information as well as calling and talking with them. I spent 6 hours that day talking with everyone and over 16 hours trying to clear this up. Everyone including Quest assured me that it was taken care of.
Well since then my daughter is still getting calls occasionally waking her up. When I called Quest to find out why they are still calling they said they won't call again and disconnected (hung up) on me twice. I wouldn't trust anything they say. These are bad people.

Went to get blood work for daughter as thought she may have genetic abnormality. Referred by our geneticist. Aetna denied the bill ($3,000). Said it was experimental. I tried called Quest to work out a lower fee. I can't afford $3,000. The Aetna rate would have been only $375. Neither doctor nor Quest sought prior approval from Aetna. I can't believe I'm the first person to have Aetna and this insurance and they knew it was going to happen. No one seems to have authority to help me. Now it is in collections.

I am writing on behalf of my husband who suffered a stroke some years ago and has a severe form of aphasia (language disability). After some insurance changes, we were asked to use the Quest office for his blood work. Today was our first visit there. The front desk staff was quite rude and disrespectful. The office was empty when we arrived, but the "bored-looking" receptionist asked us to sign in. Looking around the empty office, we didn't quite understand the sense of it - but we complied. I tried to explain to the front office person that my husband has to have his blood checked on a regular basis, and that he is used to going by himself. The previous office knew him and accommodated him. Anyhow, our interaction with the front office person (spiky hair and tattoos galore) was very unpleasant. We will have to contact his insurance to look at alternatives. He was very upset about the front office person's rude, but most importantly, uncaring behavior. Someone like this shouldn't be working in the health care system.

Opened a letter today stating it was a 3rd notice and is seriously late from Quest Diagnostics. It is a bill for the amount of $1,462.08 for lab work that was denied by my insurance, and not authorized by me either. I still don't even know what the charges are actually for and have not seen any bill previous to this or had any contact with Quest regarding this. The bill is dated for July 14, 2014 by a doctor who is not even practicing anymore.
After contacting Blue Cross/Blue Shield they suggest I submit an appeal along with all documentation stating the lab work was medically necessary, I was also told that the lab work would have needed their prior approval to be covered in the first place, basically, the lab work was not authorized by the insurance company or myself. This seems like some kind of fraudulent scam of billing for service not rendered and hoping the patient will pay just due to the confusing terms on the statements, in any account, due to the amount it will need to be handled by a lawyer, possibly looking into a class action suit due to other patients I have heard complaining of the same issue with Quest Diagnostics and the invisible doctor.

Please contact a doctor's office with any further questions about the tests performed." I already told them that the doctor closed/sold his practice during the one month period that I gave a urine sample and my follow-up so I could get my prescriptions filled. He's gone, I never even got the results, had to submit to another lab test to Logan Labs. The Nov 3, 2014 gave a value of 9.1 (high), and the Nov 5, 2014 gave a value of 6.1. BOTH were done at the same Quest diagnostic place. My urologist doctor said that there is an error because six months ago I had a PSA value of 5.1 and it couldn't jump up to 9.1. I called Quest diagnostics Client services, and they told me "WE do not make mistakes". If my doctor believes that there is an error, HE should call an order another test. I was initially told my labs weren't called in. Using my cell phone, I called the rheumatologist's office. Unfortunately, my conversation was not mute. (Something wrong with my phone. Everybody could hear the phone connect) After several rings, the Quest receptionist found the lab request. No problem...I thought. At least I brought something to eat just in case my blood sugar dropped. I was the "very" last customer called up with another customer. We were ushered to the same room where he was seated and I was left standing. She handed me a cup, which was my cue (I guessed) to go to the restroom.
I went to the restroom bewildered. Brought the urine sample back and was told to stand outside the door while she drew the other person's blood. As I have a herniated disc in my back, this was somewhat uncomfortable so I went to the back of the receptionist desk and leaned on it. "Thank God" another Tech saw me and took me in. I've been treated "bad" before but I was caught off my guard. She put Professionalism at a whole other level. Seriously! Just An FYI.

Trying to pay a bill? Don't even try calling, there are no human beings on those phones. Trying to schedule an appointment? Don't trust their website, they'll tell you that you scheduled the appointment for some other time or day, if you do so, print the page, not that it would help you much with their staff, which seems to be glad to show you an attitude and to begin a verbal fight with you at any time. Have questions about your bill? Be ready to have a three way call with doctors and insurance, they will try to get as much as possible from you. If you dare to have you samples taken at their offices, don't look in their eyes, don't stare at the nasty bloody containers left opened, make sure you don't look much to their stained lab coats.
And if the "nurse" has missing or golden teeth or tattoos or blue hair, do your best to look in her eyes, otherwise they may treat you VERY badly, living bruises, avoiding eye contact with you, ignoring any questions you make and shouting someone else's name over your voice while shouting at you "THANK YOU" several times. Then you may live that place, knowing that it was wrong as you are the customer and YOU are paying their salaries and if your insurance is AETNA, don't even waste your time complaining. They DO NOT have any other lab where you can have at least a humane service. They don't care because they know that your insurance will FORCE YOU to go with them. I am going to try to go insurance-less next year, with a health savings account and if a major surgery comes along, I will make sure to book my medical vacation at another country where people is treated like people.

The first time I went to Quest I had an appointment scheduled for 7am. The Quest employee that was supposed to open the office forgot the keys and I, along with 15 other people had to sit outside on the cold cement for an hour before someone from another office brought keys to open the office. Most companies concerned about keeping customers/patients would have apologized and offered some kind of discount for that visit or the next. Quest did neither of these. That alone should have been a sign for me to find another lab to do my blood work, but I gave them another chance which I now regret.
I am a diabetic, and for those who don't know there is a test called hemoglobin, glycosylated or A1c which is very important test for diabetics to have a few times a year. It tells you if your diabetes is under control or not. When it is out of control you are at a much greater risk for heart attack, stroke, blindness and kidney failure, so this is a very important test and potentially life threatening when a lab like Quest messes it up which is what happened to me. I went to Quest on two separate occasions to have my A1c tested. The first time they did not test my A1c even though it was clearly marked on the blood order from my doctor. One of the Quest staff members admitted that she did not understand why it was overlooked. I had my doctor call up Quest and tell them that they messed up and wrote me another order for blood work with the A1c clearly highlighted.
So I went back for another A1c test and this time they somehow either lost my test results or never sent my blood to the lab. The people at Quest had no idea what happened. They realized that they were at fault, but they told me I was going to be charged for another test. I was outraged that they were not going to attempt to make up for their error so filled out a complaint form on their website. A supervisor called me back and apologized. She said there was no excuse for what happened and she scheduled an appointment for me a few days later. She assured me that I would not be charged for this test as it was due to several errors on their part. She said that I never should have been told I would be charged and she gave me her cell phone number to call her if there was any problem. She promised me that she was going to get to the bottom of why my tests were screwed up.
So I go back and have my free test taken, finally get my A1c results after sweating over it for close to a year. And then recently I get a large bill from Quest, wanting me to pay for my free test. So I fill out a complaint form on their website and after two weeks of not hearing back from them I call the phone number that the supervisor gave me but she doesn't answer her phone or return calls. So I call their billing department and explain what happened. The lady I talked to was completely unhelpful. All she was concerned about was trying to set up a payment plan for me to pay for this bill that I was not supposed to receive in the first place.
I would strongly recommend that people find another medical lab to have their blood work done as this kind of disorganization and miscommunication is dangerous to people who are trying to take care of their health. I find it ironic that most any reputable company will bend over backwards to keep a customer happy and coming back, but a place like Quest doesn't care if you come back, they don't keep their word or care about the welfare of their patients.

A month later I received a bill for $800 for test with the indicator that my insurance information had expired and that I owed the amount. On the bill it indicated that I could update my insurance information online. I called to expedite the process during my workday. They do not have "real" people answering the phone and do not take messages. On the phone recording it said to update insurance information go online. Okay so I sat down today to update my insurance and all it will take is the primary.
If they want to update all insurance online then they need to get with the program and have all the fields necessary to get the job done or have a way of transferring the information via the doctor. Now this whole process has taken a phone call, incomplete online update, a survey that they offered, another 30 day billing turn around, and undoubtedly another phone call? I have no idea how to get this done when they do not have all the fields necessary to complete the process. The service is not the best in their office and their billing is crap.

During the interview/cost estimating conversation with receiving nurse, we discussed what standard testing, like blood type testing, was to be performed, BUT “Genetic Testing” section were to be EXCLUDED. The nurse understood this and marked that section so that the tests under "Genetic Testing" would not be performed.
On 7/8/2014, I got a delaying test report. In the report it looks like ALL tests under the “Genetic Testing” section were performed regardless of my instructions. The test report also showing that “A non-specific test was ordered and the above assay was performed. If this is not what you intended to order, please contact your local client service representative immediately at 1-800-295-6598 so that we can adjust our billing appropriately.” I called customer service immediately at that number, talked with a billing rep., told her about the test report, and advised her that Quest performed the Genetic Testing that I did NOT agree to do. At that time, I have not gotten any invoice from Quest Diagnostics. The rep. promised me that she will make the adjustment so that I will NOT be billed for those testing items. Yet, they did NOT fix any mistakes.
On 7/30/2014, Quest Diagnostics started sending invoices to me to charge me for their mistake!!! The invoice includes charges for every test under “Genetic Testing” that I DID NOT CONSENT to do. After I received the invoice, I mailed a dispute letter with all details and evidences to their billing department on 8/11/2014. So far I did NOT get any response. I sent an inquiry from their website also - there is NO any response too.
Today I received the invoice again. The invoice shows they will forward this invoice to an outside collection agency if payment is not received by the payment due date. I am really, really disappointed for their attitude. I don't think it is professional for a lab to perform testing without the client’s agreement. This is in violation of personal privacy rules. For a year I've been seeing an MD in Encinitas, CA who is trained as a naturopathic physician. After being on Levothyroxine for nearly 10 years, I wanted to switch to a natural versus synthetic medication to treat my hypothyroidism. After going through a bout of severe diarrhea, which forced me to go to urgent care last weekend, I've learned that I am now hyperthyroid. This morning I went back and reviewed my test results from the past six months. The TSH levels in particular are all over the place; there's no way that there could be that much variation with minor tweaks in the medication.
Next week I'll be going back to my long-time physician at Scripps. This is very concerning to me, I've lost a lot of weight (I can't afford to lose weight as I'm 5'5" and normally weigh only 108) and besides the diarrhea, I've started having heart palpitations. I wonder if anyone else has had this experience with Quest. The majority of comments I've read deal primarily with billing issues, although I've seen a few that mention incorrect test results. Thyroid regulation is very important, it's a good thing that I ended up going to urgent care at Scripps, if I had continued taking the medication dosage the naturopathic physician recommended, based on the lab results from Quest, I could have died. Not happy with Quest, or the doctor for that matter (but that's another issue altogether, which I'll address on a different forum).

I take a narcotic opioid medication and it is paid for by work-comp insurance. One of the hoops my doctor must jump through in order to prescribe is to send me for drug testing, specifically for this drug, to avoid issues of diversion. I knew about my urine drug screen at Quest for a month in advance. I arrived to find a dirty and disorganized office. When I finally was able to give my doctor's orders to the clerk he said he had not heard of the common medication that I was taking. I was amazed. I waited a while to be called by a tech and when she finally called me in she put me in a phlebotomy chair. I told her I was not here for a blood draw but instead a urinalysis. She became angry and stormed off to look at the orders again. She asked another employee (right in front of me) what buprenorphine was and how to test for it. She then looked it up online and researched how to test for buprenorphine. Again right in front of me.
Buprenorphine is difficult and expensive to test for, not nearly as straight forward as standard drugs, and clearly she had no idea what she was doing. Eventually she told me to "go to the bathroom" and handed me a specimen cup. I was unsupervised and wandered around until I found an empty bathroom and left my specimen in a little window with doors on either side (standard in labs). When I left I noticed that my specimen was still in the bathroom, with multiple patients around to potentially access it, and had not been retrieved by any of the employees that were all up at the front desk talking.
I could not believe that a test that can change lives, cause termination of employment, loss of driver's license, etc, was being treated in such a lax manner. Not surprisingly the test came back a week later with no drugs in my system, including the medication that I am supposed to be taking. I cannot get into the horror and nightmare this mistake has wrought upon me but it has caused financial and mental distress and may cause the loss of my work comp insurance coverage and more. It is a disaster. It has caused my doctor to question my honesty and integrity and I am now being referred to another doctor on the other side of the county in order to keep my access to my medication. Never go to Quest Diagnostics. Unprofessional and rude employees that have destroyed lives through incompetence. I am planning on suing them in order to recoup some of the costs associated with their mistake.

They have even been paid in full by my insurance but continue to demand I pay the full amount. My insurance company even sent them proof that they were paid in full but they continue to ignore this.
After doing some research, I have found out the Quest has been subject to multiple lawsuits for inappropriate billing and Medicaid fraud. I have now filed a formal complaint with the California Department of Health, a grievance through my insurance company, a BBB complaint and have notified my congressman. The reasons I am taking these actions is because there are people out there who may not have the time to fight these types of billing practices. I believe that Quest Diagnostics (QD) has engaged in improper billing practices via the process of delaying billing for long periods of time to give the consumer the impression that its prices are good and/or their insurance is taking care of it. Following is the time-line relative to this accusation: 8/12/13 - Our son had blood drawn as referred by his PCP. QD charged a $15 fee that was labeled “Estimated Cost”. No information or discussions of possible costs or charges related to tests that were to be performed were offered by QD staff. 10/26/13 - My wife had blood drawn as referred by her PCP. QD charged a $15 fee that was labeled “Estimated Cost”. There was no reason to believe that there would be further charges considering that we had been to QD 10 wks prior and that had not resulted in any. No information or discussions of possible costs or charges related to tests that were to be performed were offered by QD staff.
11/6/13 - I had blood drawn as referred by my PCP. QD charged a $15 fee that was labeled “Estimated Cost”, although it seemed like the actual cost due to consistency. There was no reason to believe that there would be further charges considering that we had been to the facility twice in the 12 wks prior and those had not resulted in any. No information or discussions of possible costs or charges related to tests that were to be performed were offered by QD staff. Seems to be a theme here. Additionally, it appears that various drug screening tests were performed that my PCP did not request. 1/16/14 - Our son had blood drawn as referred by his PCP. QD charged a $15 fee that was labeled “Estimated Cost”. We had no reason to believe that there would be further charges considering that we had been to the facility three times in the five months prior and those had not resulted in any. No information or discussions of possible costs or charges related to tests that were to be performed were offered by QD staff.
3/?/14 - Quest Diagnostic started sending invoices to us, requesting payments related to the visits shown above. In some cases, those were for visits that had occurred 6 or 7 months prior. At first, we were shocked to be receiving these bills, for if we had any idea that Quest would charge so much money for these tests, we would not have done them. Since Quest waited so long to begin billing us, Quest took away our right to make an informed decision based on past costs. Since Quest did not offer any counseling on test costs, Quest took away our right to make an informed decision based on past costs. Since Quest did not publicize test costs to our Doctors, Quest took away our right to make an informed decision based on past costs. At best, this billing practice would be deemed misleading. We also wonder if this practice is legal. We intend to start an investigation to determine if others have fallen victim to this practice. If you know of any such cases, please comment on this post. I will monitor it and take further action.

When the bill arrived it was over 1800. I have called and spent hours on the phone and got nowhere. Nobody can make a decision, or explain why the price is suddenly 5x the normal price. I had Quest look at old test results and the low price and they said each office can charge whatever they want. (Crazy answer!) With that they sent the bill to collections and trashed my credit. When I look on the net I see Quest has lawsuits against them in almost every state for price fixing, and other activities similar to what happened to me. Any helpful suggestions?

When checking in for blood work, a Quest Diagnostics Rep will take your driver's license and insurance card. The customer will assume by this action, that they are validating your request. Not the case. We received a bill for nearly $4,000 in blood work (which in of itself is insane) as our United Health Care Insurance does not cover Quest (They do not cover them as they charge twice as much for the same test as other labs). If the Quest Rep had told us that they did not take our insurance, my husband would have gone to LabCorb which takes United Health Care to have his blood drawn. After looking at all the others that this has happened to, it appears to be something Quest does intentionally and requires a class action suit!

I had blood work done at a local Calif. office 3 times. Each time I had to sign a form saying I would pay what Medicare and my secondary insurance would not pay. The third time I go to this office, I'm handed a bill for $74.91. Medicare rejected some of the tests. I wait for a bill and when it finally comes, I spend 2 days trying to find a phone number where I can talk to a real person. Not one phone number available to me worked or I was directed to some automated phone tree. I finally call the corporate office in New Jersey and get 2 new phone numbers for California.
After waiting on hold for 37 minutes, I am told that Quest will not make any effort to get the bill to my doctor so he can provide the correct codes. I was instructed to have the Dr.'s office fax the order to Quest. I get off the phone and call the Dr.'s office and am told that they don't do that and they are always being contacted by Quest for more info. Back on the phone to Quest and another 34 minute hold time to relay that info to Quest, and I'm told that it's illegal for them to contact the Dr. for a "diagnosis". No suggestion about how to deal with my situation either. I am frustrated beyond belief and I'm not sure what my next step will be. I may just let them send it to collections and then they can pay a lawyer many times what they will be trying to collect from me. I will never use Quest again though.

I went to quest diagnostics to check my TSH levels in jan 2014. They collected my blood and said that my TSH levels are 0.03. Again I went to quest diagnostics in may 2014 to make sure whether those levels are correct or not. This time they checked my TSH levels and said that it is 12. I was shocked seeing the report. How could my levels go from lowest level to highest level within this short time. I postponed my pregnancy because of this results. I got depressed seeing this results.
In july 2014 my gynecologist told me that I am pregnant. I told her that my major concern is my thyroid levels and I gave her my previous reports from quest. She told me to get my TSH levels checked again. She said that blood reports are not convincing and she told me that there won't be this much variation in TSH levels. When I asked her about medication, she told me to wait until my reports.
This time I got my Tsh levels checked, but in allegiance health. To my surprise my TSH LEVELS ARE 2.57. What is wrong with quest diagnostics? What happened to me and my pregnancy if one of my doctors had started medication based on blood results from quest? Who will answer about the turmoil and agony I went because of their reports? Who will pay the money I spend in advanced tests to rule out any thyroid disease after seeing reports from quest?

So, I'm wondering do they train the people that work at Quest to be rude? I was tested like a child and it was apparent that the lab tech did not give a damn. Problem was, I watched the other lab techs treat other patients the same way. It was ridiculous and the more kindness and courtesy I showed her, the worse it got. The lab is located at Baylor Medical Center in Frisco, Texas.

I went to a Quest Diagnostic office for routine blood work. Upon presenting my insurance card, I was told that they accept that insurance but could I provide a credit card if any items were not covered by the insurance. A few weeks later, I received a bill for over $300!! The insurance company did a pay for a single item as they do not work with Quest. I feel I was misinformed by the clerk, or I would have had the work done elsewhere. Other labs are covered in full. After calling Quest I was basically told tough luck, pay us. My account is now in collections and is hurting my credit. What a nightmare. To all, please do not use Quest as they put money first and not the patient and are either deceitful or untrained. Either way I would not trust them to deliver any of my future testings.

The technician did wrong blood test. I had to repeat the test. When I received the bill, I called the billing department. The billing rep. talked to my doctor's office. I was assured by the rep that this will be taken care of and that they will not charge me for their mistake. Yet, they kept on sending me the bill. I talked to the billing department each time I received the bill and I had to repeat the same old story over and over. I was assured that the issue would be resolved, yet nothing was done. I spent so much time with their billing representative that it is almost not worth the fight. I just feel this is a matter of principle. We should be compensated for their mistakes, instead I was being punished.

I went for blood work at their Babylon location, at 500 Main St. on 7/3 this year. After waiting 4 days for them to fax over the results to my doctor, I finally called their line (the only number they provide, because you can NEVER get the location phone number). They proceeded to inform me that they had no record of my visit to the lab. After being on hold, and passed on from operator to operator, I finally got a lady that informed me that she would fax the lab requesting the information, and for me to call back and ask for Barbara. Well... when I called back, nobody in the call center knew of a Barbara, so I started explaining all over again. This time a Linda, "helped" me, and said that she would call the mysterious location and get back to me in 10 minutes. Fast forward 2 hours, no Linda. When I called back the generic number, of course nobody knows who Linda is. STILL without my results and about to call a lawyer. This is infuriating.

Then, I call, get transferred to FOUR different departments and 45 minutes later, they tell me, "You're not in our system". They seem to have different departments for different regions. They can't spell my simple name right, and who the hell knows if I'm in their computer or not. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN SO MUCH LESS PAINFUL AND TIME CONSUMING JUST TO GO GET ANOTHER BLOOD TEST DONE SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

My doctor recommended that the nurse use the butterfly to help, but the nurse said it was not necessary and once more (this is the 3 time) could not get any blood to my lab test. But if I go to the Sacred heart, the nurses there can take my blood with no problem at all, but I have to pay a lot of money to the test. Shame on my health Insurance plan to be affiliated with Quest.

My insurance changed, so I have to use Quest now. The building looks nice on the outside, but the inside looks really rundown. The woman who signs people in is grumpy, she starts yelling if you don't get to the window fast enough and she doesn't tell you which room to go in to get your blood drawn, so you have to wander the hall until someone calls your name.
The next problem is that the phlebotomist I saw was not friendly at all. I don't think she said anything to me except to call me in the room and tell me to sit in the chair. It was really awkward. It seemed they only had one size needle (the collections jar was right next to your face in the chair, so I got a great look at it) which seemed odd, seeing as people have different veins). She was rough with the needle. She got me on the first stick, but she held my arm at a really awkward angle, right in front of me, and there was a pop when she broke my skin (not sure if I heard it or just felt it, but it happened). It hurt more than your average blood draw, and I ended up with a massive bruise that is still not entirely gone 3 weeks later. I had an IV done just three days ago that hurt way less and is already healed up, except for a tiny spot that is almost invisible.
Beyond that, I suspect some of my test results are inaccurate. I'm not going into details. It happened to two of my family members and I've even been told by a doctor that they seem to make a lot of mistakes. I'll be going back to my old lab, even if I have to pay a high copay and don't get free labs anymore. Interestingly, none of my family members have ever had a problem with Quest Lab's billing. Just the service.

On April 8th I was given a quantitative beta draw by my OB's office to confirm a viable pregnancy after a recent loss. My first draw went well however my second draw (on April 10th) was returned with the result of >2 which equates to negative. (This was even typed on the lab result provided by Quest). I was told by my OB's office that based on the lab results I was experiencing a miscarriage. This is obviously devastating following a previous miscarriage.
When I returned home later that evening something just didn't feel right so I decided to take a home pregnancy test to confirm. The test returned a BLARING positive. I then quickly ran out and purchased two different brand tests and both returned positive results. I called my doctor and they confirmed this would not be possible if HCG were not in the blood stream. They immediately ordered a new blood test with a different lab and the results turned a 1675! Now this would obviously not be possible if my HCG was >2 earlier in the day! They along with the independent lab concluded that the results from Quest were clearly faulty.
I called Quest to report the lab error and I kid you not, the first thing out of the woman's mouth and I quote "That's simply not possible, we do not make errors." You're a multi-million dollar company and you do not make errors?!? YOU OPERATE HUNDREDS OF LABS ACROSS THE US AND YOU DO NOT MAKE ERRORS?!? I was absolutely livid. I tried my best to remain calm and explained the results provided by the independent lab concluded they did indeed make an error. At this point she stopped talking simply repeating over and over "They could not discuss results with patients."
I am now in the process of disputing the charges with my insurance provider. My provider covered the cost of the lab work but they should in no way be responsible for paying for faulty work. Had Quest simply admitted to the error this would have been dropped. Now I will do everything in my power to vocalize their incompetence so others do not have to go through the stress I did in believing, EVEN BRIEFLY that they had lost a child!

The Quest office in Mansfield, NJ is located in the same building as my doctor and they have an agreement with my doctor's office to send his patient's blood to Lab Corp if their insurance requires that Lab Corp be used. I went to this lab last year and told the woman who drew my blood 2 - 3 times that it has to go to Lab Corp or my insurance will not cover it (a step which should not be necessary as she has my insurance information). Of course the moron sent it to the Quest lab and my insurance refused to cover it.
One would hope that it was just one incompetent moron, working at the Mansfield site. But apparently that is not the case, the entire company is filled with incompetent morons. I've been dealing with them for a year now as I try to get them to straighten out THEIR mistake and they insist that I pay for the services. One in particular, Casandra **, doesn't bother to return phone calls or answer her phone. When you do manage to catch her, she gives the same song and dance every time. Apparently she has been looking for their Sales Department for about 4-5 months now to find out if they can straighten out the problem. HOW MESSED UP IS THIS COMPANY THAT IT TAKES THAT LONG FOR AN EMPLOYEE TO LOCATE THEIR SALES DEPARTMENT?
If your insurance requires you to use Quest, I sincerely feel sorry for you. Personally, I would be looking for a new insurance company, if at all possible. I am eternally grateful that my insurance company is smart enough to deal exclusively with Lab Corp! Interestingly enough, my wife works in human resources and has stated that many of the employees that she supports have had lots of problems with Quest as well. I don't know how INCOMPETENCE like this stays in business!!! By the way, I would actually give them a negative rating but the lowest that you can give is a 1.

I was informed that Quest is not connected to these insurance groups and they will not pay them. I was also informed by the Quest billing office that I should have my work done at Lab Corp from now on and not to return to Quest Diagnostics. If they had told me 10 months ago that they were not connected to my insurance company groups, I would have gone to Lab Corp at that time and not wasted my time with Quest. What is the purpose of having double insurance coverage if Quest cannot access it. What is wrong with this picture?

I had gone to my Primary Care doctor for a yearly type checkup. He ordered a number of blood tests to check and see if my medications were working properly. I was sent to their in-house lab, Quest Diagnostics. Prior to doing the tests, they 'demanded' that I sign a form stating that if the insurance company would not pay that I would be responsible. I thought that I had never had any difficulty with Medicare paying for blood tests, so I signed. Well, I think they have a reason for having you sign this document up front. When bills are sent to Medicare, they adjust the amount downward typically so the patient isn't overcharged. Hmm.
Quest submitted the bill to Medicare using codes that did not match what the doctor had ordered and 95% of the items for routine blood tests were denied. Hmm. Quest rebilled me for over a thousand dollars at their full price amount. My question is do they do this on purpose. After emails and certified letters to Quest requesting their help in resolving the denial by Medicare, I received no correspondence, emails, phone call, etc. Just a new bill from a collection agency. Hmm. After reading a number of other posts regarding Quest, that too seems to be their typical MO.
I guess I have no recourse except to take them to court. If anyone knows someone to file a complaint with, please let me know. I recently went back to the same doctor and he needs additional blood work. I refused to go to Quest and requested an alternative. The doctor also was not that helpful in helping resolve the issue either. Hmm. Another possible question could be asked here. Does the doctor receive referral money back from Quest? I'm irritated as hell and don't need this aggravation.

The same EXACT tests were done this year... and I received a bill from QUEST for nearly $400.00. I logged on their website and filed a "protest" and did not pay the bill... In the next 3 months, the same thing happened. I went into Dr. ** office and confronted her "office staff" about the problem. They then said that the medical codes were entered incorrectly. The bill then was paid by insurance company. Sounds like a "resolution"... nope.
After missing 3 months payment, my credit score was lowered 90 points. After talking to 5 other friends who use Dr's that utilize QUEST, they had similar problems but after getting "credit notices" that their credit score would be damaged... they paid QUEST the bill and I have found out the QUEST then sends a 25% "payback" to Doctors who have participated in the "scheme" with their more affluent patients who do not want their credit scores damaged. Needless to say, I am no longer a patient of Dr. Tania **!

Quest Diagnostics will not perform a lab test without getting a credit or debit card number from you. Even if you have all of your insurance information and government ID and are in good standing financially, they will not take a specimen and process it without a credit or debit card number. This is discriminatory and is dangerous. Other labs like Labcorp and Bio-Reference offer the option to pay by card, but DO NOT REQUIRE IT. This is a wrongful practice. Now you know!

It seems like this lab does everything possible to discourage giving them insurance information. Maybe they think if it's difficult enough, patients will give up and pay the full amount before an insurance discount, and without them having to process through insurance. Easier and cheaper for them - more expensive for us. Twice in the last month, my husband had lab tests there and gave full insurance information. But the huge invoices came without being processed by our insurance. Though the invoice said the insurance info could be submitted online, we were blocked both times from submitting that way. A call to the company results in three levels of unnecessarily long messages and choices before being able to speak to anyone and give the information. And they didn't even retain our information from the first set of tests to the second one, only a week later. We'll be trying another lab next time!

I called the doctor, who confirmed that the order was in the system and should have been seen by Quest. He issued a new order, plus one for blood work. I have spent all day today trying to reach someone at Quest to verify they have the order. No answer at the office from 8:30-2:30.
