    This mattress gave me the best sleep, absolutely helps someone suffering from a chronic pain condition because of the ability to adjust softness and firmness. My Select Comfort bed is easy to make, adjustable comfort, soft to firm and a winner to me. We have had ours 20 years. The service department was extremely helpful in getting a new cover when something got spilled on it. The mattress has a 25 year warranty. The cost was well worth it.

    Our first Select Comfort lasted fifteen years. When we ordered a new one over the phone there was no pressure about trying to upgrade us to a more expensive model. I am a physical therapist and I have suggested this mattress to many because you can adjust the firmness to what feels comfortable for your body on a hourly basis if necessary.

    We've been trying to get something that's comfortable. It's what mattresses can do, so we decided to try Sleep Number. We've had one in our RV before and recently we bought sheets. We're still trying to figure out what our numbers are. But, the product has good quality. We've had very nice interactions with their sales rep there. In addition, the delivery people dropped the box off and we put it together which wasn't hard at all.

    Our delivery, after waiting 2 weeks, scheduled for today, was cancelled 6 hours prior to arrival. When we called to find out why, they had some crappy excuse then offered to place us at the end of the queue for the next round of deliveries. We are currently on hold trying to get our order cancelled altogether. The customer service appears to be seriously lacking.

    What a nightmare. Spent $3k on a bed on 11/21, delivery scheduled for December 3rd. Great. Got phone call and email confirmation. We tossed our old bed out with the trash. At 9:30 on December 3rd, got a phone call that bed was NOT going to be delivered because "the route was cancelled." We later find out that someone called in sick and that's why the "route was cancelled." After a dozen phone calls and a visit back to the store, many people gave us times/dates that would not work for our schedule and/or we're too far out in the future (once again, we've already tossed our old mattress). We finally arrange for the bed to be delivered on the 8th between 4-8 PM. Again, a phone call at 8:42 am (voicemail) said that "the route is cancelled, it's scheduled for next Tuesday the 13th." Again, this did not work with our schedules.

    Again many, many phone calls and a trip BACK to the store, where we were ASSURED from various high-ups that wow, 2 cancellations in a row never happens, blah, blah. The delivery was again scheduled for 7-11 AM on the 10th - again, the morning was the only time on that day that would fit into our schedules. Another phone call at 9:15 AM on the 10th, this time from the technician telling us "I'm going to be there in 5-7 hours." (This if course makes it well beyond our 7-11AM window, and we were not going to be home in the afternoon, which we explained repeatedly to multiple people). The reason? It makes more sense to "go north last." Three times the charm, we cancelled the bed. If this nightmare of an experience was any indication of what customer service was going to be moving forward, we want no part of it. Well and truly horrible experience. Oh, and we still don't have anything to sleep on.

    For 3 consecutive nights the left side of the bed (empty) registered sleep patterns and breathing. Since my partner was away, this has caused a rift in our relationship... Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? The store said the pump needed to be reset, but my physicist partner is skeptical as the "data" for each night was different.

    We had a bed from a different company that is no longer in business, and that bed needs to be replaced. It's 20 years old, it already had a dip, and one side was losing air. The mattress pads we bought from Sleep Number are of fine quality. This is our second purchase from them. We have another Sleep Number bed in the house.

    The Sleep Number bed is fine though too expensive. The company itself is absolutely awful. It started with them bringing the wrong bed and NOT telling me. Then getting conflicting information from the installers, customer service, AND my salesman. THEN IT GOT WORSE. I actually caught one salesman SLEEPING ON A BED! I had another didn't like that I was upset at getting bad information and just said "nope. I'm not going to help you." What kind of service is that? Maybe try "I'm sorry for before, but I will get this straightened out for you"! I spent $7000 on this bed. I should have no, zero, nil problems. I've also had to call customer service 3 times. Each time I was on hold for 30 MINUTES!!! Now, after 1 month with the replacement bed (the correct bed), it's broken. The motorized base isn't motorizing. WHAT A RIP-OFF. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

    We had our bed delivered yesterday. The guys were wonderful!! Everything was set up and we went to bed and played with the settings a bit. We were told we only need one remote since we have the app on our phones. Well what they did not tell us BUT I had read several negative reviews about is that the bed will not stay connected to the app and in our case we have not been able to get it reconnected at all. Nothing works. So when my hubby wanted to change the settings in the middle of the night he had to get out bed, walk around and get the remote from my side. I feel as though what we paid for this technology is a complete waste of money.

    So I spent 49 minutes ON HOLD with client support and then when I asked for a supervisor that can send me another remote when he put me on hold it disconnected. I won't completely say that he hung up on me. Then I tried the chat option and gave them my phone number and asked for a call back. I was told it would be 24-48 hours. They REALLY don't love their customers. This is a horrible way to treat a customer that has spent thousands and thousands of dollars on their product.

    Our numbers only halfway show up so we can't tell what number we are at. The representative I spoke to said you don't make our type of controller anymore so we'd have to buy a new pump and get a new controller that way. Our pump so far is just fine so we don't feel the need to do that. We will just get to a setting we like and not worry about what the number is I guess.

    I called the parts department on November 18, 2016 for all parts needed for a dual temp pad. I had instructed them we had not purchased the pad yet but needed the heating & cooling source, 2 wireless remotes, 2 power supplies and 2 power cords, plus two power cords for two other beds that our puppy chewed. This was for a king bed that we were buying from a friend that had only the pad nothing else. I also looked up this information from their website so I knew what I was asking for. They quoted me $575.78 and put it under my account for all items I was requesting. I said I would call back after I check with husband.

    We thought this was a good deal. Ordered the parts and paid the bill. Received 3 of the 7 packages per the boxes. I called December 6 telling them we never received the motors. They tell me they never quoted them to me and it would cost me another $1299.96, plus tax and shipping. I told them four boxes were missing according to the shipping labels. They told me that was a mistake. I asked for a manager (Dorothy). She would listen to the recordings and get back to me in an hour. Dorothy never called back. Called again December 7, they told me to call again she was off. I called again December 8, per (Bret- supervisor) he can only offer $100 off. It is not his fault the salesperson misquoted me. I told him unacceptable. He then went on to tell me I should not buy used. It always cost me more in the long run repeating my mistake over and over again.

    I then asked if I bought the motor if they would do some type of free financing. They told me I had to call the credit card company that they work with. I called them and they told me I had to work with a local store. I called the store and they told me I had to work with the parts department. As of today I am still waiting on the following people (Keith and Phil) to see if they can help with a better deal. People who will not help resolve the issue of the original order placed and quoted wrong: Collet, Joe, Dorothy, Brian, Bret. There maybe one more in there I missed after several phone calls. No receipt in any boxes only the label that I have copies of missing box 2,3,4 and 7.

    I got a bed that folds up, and the mattress was too soft for me, so my daughter wanted me to get a Sleep Number. The sales people at Sleep Number were all very nice.     We had been looking at getting a new mattress, trying all the different options we had and liked the Sleep Number. We were at a show, and there were some additional discounts available to us that made the purchase attractive. Even though we were at a show and there was pressure for them to be making sales, we did not experience a high-pressure sales pitch, which we appreciated. We got the Sleep Number mattress with the adjustable headboard, the base, as well as the topper product that can cool any mattress. Their sales reps were great. We had some follow-up questions after installation, and they were very helpful with that as well. The delivery people had to take the base apart because of the narrowness of our staircase, and even though it was a pain, they did it happily. We’re still figuring our bed out and forget that we have to reset it every week, but in general, we like the product.

    My husband and I had tried other beds and they didn't last. We have back and neck problems, so we decided to get a Sleep Number bed and we could keep the cost down. Their annual sale in February was very good and we only needed to buy two twin toppers to go on our king-size foundation. The rep was awesome and the delivery team did a great job. They were efficient and on time. We've been having the best sleep with our Sleep Number adjustable bed. It really makes a difference in our health issues. We change the number as we need to.     I have two Sleep Number beds and I recommend them. I have one that I bought in 2000 and I have the whole system that I just bought last year. It’s the Sleep Number adjustable. It goes up and down. The delivery went fine. They set everything up for me. The only thing is that I need new remotes. They're broken. One of them only works part of it. It’ll only raise the mattress. It won’t raise or lower the feet and head. So I have to do that with the other remote, but the other remote got dropped on the floor and it’s not together all the way. They’re both still under warranty.

    I had years of back pain and not being able to sleep and it has even gotten to the point where I was living between the bed and my recliner and not getting any sleep. So, I had to try something different. About a year ago, we got a Sleep Number mattress, the base, mattress topper, the little two-inch foam and the cover for that, sheets, and everything that goes along with that. Then we went with MyPillow because we've heard a lot of great things about them. It's been good and the Sleep Number sales reps were very nice. We tried different beds and they were really helpful about answering questions that I wouldn't have thought to have asked.

    The delivery team was also helpful and they answered my questions about the programming. I'm a technical guy so I like to ask about how they were setting it up and they seemed patient and explained everything. The Sleep Number bed is amazing and my sleep is now a solid 70% better because there are still nights when my back goes out and sometimes I have to get up and move around. I have definitely recommended Sleep Number to people looking at beds.

    I had a regular mattress for years and it was time to get rid of it. My friend had a Sleep Number which they had for years and they love it. The Sleep Number sales reps were great and the delivery went fine. However, I don't like my bed. I feel like I'm sleeping on a 1950 blow up mattress. I tried every setting on it and I'm not comfortable on it. I ended up going out and sleeping on the recliner chair. Sleep Number sent me a full mattress but it hasn't helped. Overall I wouldn't recommend it to a friend but they did their job and I'm satisfied with them.

    Our son had a lot of back issues so we thought we'd try a sleep number so he could adjust to his level of comfort. When the guys delivered the mattress and hooked an air pump to it just like you would from an air mattress you buy at walmart or target, I was extremely shocked. Air mattress and plastic bed frame is all this is. Save your money. Either buy the air mattress from walmart/target or get a REAL bed. Will never buy Sleep Number again!

    My wife and I like very different bed styles: she likes firm while I like soft. The other beds weren't working and so we got a Sleep Number. Delivery was horrible. My wife took off to stay at home to pick it up and they never showed up till 5:00 at night. They were six hours late! The delivery guy was by himself and I had to help him carry out the bed and actually ended up damaging our bed frame from it. The SleepIQ is also a pain in the butt to set up but overall it's a good quality bed.

    My fiancé threw a huge fit wanting a Sleep Number bed. He said he has always wanted one his whole life so I saved up until I got my tax money return and bought a regular split air on each side mattress and the box spring. The sales rep and I had a wonderful interaction. The bed was delivered right out front and we love its quality. I had a hysterectomy in May and if I had a regular bed, I would have died because I had to keep adjusting the firmness and softness.     We had been shopping Sleep Number for a couple of years. My back got so bad that we thought we had to make a departure and go another direction, so the reason for purchasing a Sleep Number was primarily physical. We bought the base, the bed and we did some linen. My back became a lot better since we've purchased the bed. The sales representative was good. We got all the info we needed between her and another guy at the store. The guys that came and set it up gave us some good tips too. The quality is good and I'm pleased. I wished I would’ve got a little bit more of an upgrade of a platform because the head goes up for both sides instead of getting the split mattress and I thought that we should have bought that one instead after we got the bed, but there's another day.

    My husband & I got the C2 during the President's Day sale 2015. Summer 2016 we started having problems, we weren't comfortable any more. By Fall 2016 my husband was sleeping on the couch because he was so uncomfortable! He said the bed was fine when he went to bed but by the time he woke up his back was hurting - it felt like he was laying on the floor like it had leaked air throughout the night. On my side, the leg part adjusts but the back part stays rock hard!! I can set both sides of the bed to the same number & it obvious that there is a big difference in hardness/softness.

    I have called the 1-800 several times. While everyone has been nice & polite, the problem has not been taken care of. This bed is suppose to have a 25 year warranty & not even 2 years into it, we rarely sleep into it! I was told it'd be $180 for a tech to come out & look at the bed! Why do I have to pay even more money for this bed when it's defective & not my fault?! We are both so over this that we'll go back to a regular mattress!

    As you've owned your bed longer than that, you’re now in the prorated portion of your warranty, where we're still covering a portion of the cost to replace any items under the terms of your warranty. However, your warranty does not include a technician which is why we do troubleshooting over the phone or online because it lets us find out what needs to be replaced and order the new part while we’re talking with you rather than waiting for a technician to come out and look at the bed. That means the replacement arrives much faster than it would if we had to wait to hear from a technician and it makes sure the situation is taken care of and our owners start sleeping well again as soon as possible.

    It came to my attention today that the delivery team illegally dumped my mattress, box springs, and the box the new mattress was delivered in, by the side of a rural road. This was brought to my attention as the box had Sleep Number's and my address printed on the label. See attached. I give the delivery team a "0" on their delivery. This action was completely unprofessional and illegal. I have discussed this with a Customer Service supervisor named Greg as well as the sale representative Jessica ** from the Center Valley, PA store. I believe that the town of West Rockhill, PA should be compensated for the cleanup and I should at minimum be refunded delivery expense.

    We've had our Sleep Number bed for about seven months now. It was recommended by a couple of people who really liked the bed. We had a Tempur-Pedic, but that just wasn't working out as we were waking up with sore backs. We tried the Sleep Number bed and we love it now. The sales professional we had was wonderful. Everything was great in the delivery as well. They set it all up and put the other bed downstairs for us. They were really nice. We usually have the head part elevated a little bit. Normally, we keep it at what our number is, but depending on how we feel, we adjust our number once in a great while. It's nice that we can adjust it to a certain firmness if ever our backs are bothering us.

I spoke with a supervisor named Bret at 2:45 pm. She could not find the bed either. For compensation she said she was authorized to offer one piece of bedding. Someone will call to reschedule delivery within 48 hours. How disappointing this is. Wait two weeks for a bed only to be told my order fell through the cracks and be offered such minimal compensation! Not happy at all with my experience so far with Sleep Number.     After spending so much money for a new bed, we were under the impression that we had a great bed with longevity. After approx. 3 years we find out that our air chamber is apparently defective and the company is now demanding we pay $65.60 for an apparent new chamber plus postage!!! I am a 72 year old Vietnam Veteran on limited income and I would certainly never order another Sleep Number bed as they are way too overrated and too costly for what you get. At least we learned our lesson and I would urge anyone to do very detailed research before buying on of these overpriced inferior beds.

    On 11-15-2016 I ordered a Sleep Number i8 bed and mattress from a very knowledgeable, courteous and helpful Store Manager in Fresno, Mr. Jorge **. Due to a recent family emergency (heart attack), I needed a good quality elevated bed for my wife to be able to sleep safely. Mr. ** showed me and my daughter the various features of the Sleep Number bed with a full demonstration and a contract was completed. Our delivery date was set for 11-26-2016 between 10 AM and 2 PM. With 4 people setting aside their busy schedules until 7 PM, awaiting delivery so that our current mattress would go to a needful person, there was no delivery; no phone call or text message to either of the two contacts I had supplied.

    I called the central 800 delivery number at 3:15 PM and the lady stated that the bed and mattress were on the truck, but "for legal reasons" (?) she could not call the deliveryman; only text him. I stood by phone and cell phone until 7 PM, as stated above. The next day I complained to Mr. ** and he promptly and correctly carried the complaint to "his boss" with the final complaint reaching, I believe, the VP of Marketing of the West Coast or similar title, in San Jose, CA. He was very courteous, but the information he imparted was that the deliveryman got sick and tried to reach me. The deliveryman claimed that "[my] phone number was not set up to accept messages." An obvious lie on the part of the delivery person; my home phone has an active answering machine and my cell phone accepts voice and text messages; both were checked each hour until 7 PM or later.

    Admittedly because my wife had neck problems requiring a chiropractor from trying to sleep on elevated pillows during this time, I was furious at being lied to on top of the non-delivery per their agreement. I will credit the persons on the phone with being courteous despite my less than civil tongue. The next delivery day was allegedly today, 12/1/2016, but I was meanwhile researching competitors and learned that there are many beds with more features, minus the adjustable airbag, at half price. And research of reviews indicated a fairly high number of complaints with servicing problems; plus the fact that, as I had been shown on the contract, that if I didn't like this bed, the $4000 bed frame is not refundable; apparently because it is made in China.

    Today I canceled and ordered a Craftmatic Adjustable Split Cal King bed, with guaranteed return of bed and mattress if it is inferior, rated #1 by a certain agency - at half the price I would pay for the Sleep Number and with more features; only no air bladder. Realizing that the air bladder thing is nice, the service, promises and reliability of American made equipment are far more important to me than a Sleep Number. Bottom line - put off and then lied to - that was the absolute deal breaker for me. If they lie, how can they be trusted if something needs servicing? My condolences to Mr. **, a very decent representative, for the loss of this sale.

    If you are thinking of buying a Sleep Number Bed, I would strongly advise you against doing it. DO NOT BUY A BED FROM SLEEP NUMBER BEDS UNTIL YOU READ MY STORY. My wife and I recently purchased a Sleep Number King Sized Model SLE with dual adjustable air mattresses and dual adjustable Flex Heads that allowed us to raise or lower the head separately on each side. We wanted to buy this exact model in a queen sized bed but were told by the Sleep Number Salesman that 1) No other manufacturer makes the Dual Flex Head model, 2) This model only comes in a King Sized Bed, 3) We could finance the purchase over 3 years, interest free and 4) We could return the bed for a full refund within 100 days if we were not fully satisfied. ALL FOUR STATEMENTS WERE FALSE.

    About 45 days after making the purchase, at a cost of over US$6,500, we discovered that another company, Personal Comfort Beds, makes exactly what we were looking for in a Queen Sized Bed, for almost $2,500 LESS than the price charged by Sleep Number. We decided to take advantage of Sleep Number's return policy to send their bed back and purchase the Queen Size Bed from Personal Comfort Beds, only to find that Sleep Number refused to take it back. They repeated the false statement twice more that no one makes a Queen sized Dual Flex Head. They also said the return policy only applied to the mattress but the King Size base, which costs $3,000 and which would be totally useless to us with a Queen sized mattress, was not returnable.

    They absolutely refused to budge. Not only that, but we also discovered that the purchase contract has been assigned to a finance company and that if the balance is not paid in full within one year, we will be required to pay interest at a rate of 29% per annum, retroactive to the date of purchase. If you are thinking of buying a Bed, my strong recommendation is DO NOT BUY A SLEEP NUMBER BED (unless you want to buy a slightly used King Sized one from me). Instead, check out the Personal Comfort Beds. You can order them on-line.

    My bed is great, I love it, but within the first year of having my bed, the split between the two tops keep getting wider. I moved and put it back together, thinking it must've been the foam needing to be adjusted back. I've put it back together many many times, and it still keeps getting wider. I chatted with a representative and all he can tell me is with the split tops, there are bound to be gaps... I told him a 6 inch gap that my 2 year old can fall into and suffocate? I asked if Sleep Number has made any wedges to put between it, or if they could somehow help me fix my problem, he said there is nothing they can do. So I guess I continue to place a pillow between the crack because even myself is able to fall into the gap and have a hard time getting up out of it. Only thing he can tell me afterwards is that if the gap gets bigger I can always call back. All I asked for was help to figure out how to minimize this gap. Please help me.

    We've had our Sleep Number bed for several years and absolutely love it. However, now it's leaking. The bed is under warranty but they don't have service technicians that can come out and troubleshoot the issue and/or solve the problem. They will only ship you parts once you try to figure out what's wrong on your own. I work several jobs and time is money. I don't have time to do science experiments on my bed to figure out what's wrong with it. After calling for several days before I could finally get through and waiting on hold for a total of several hours, I told them I would be glad to pay for one of their technicians to come out and fix the bed. They informed me that's not an option and that the troubleshooting process is easy. I will now need to take time off of work or give up a job to troubleshoot my leaking bed that's under warranty. As much as I love the bed, I would consider a different one for my next purchase.

    I used to pass by the Sleep Number store. I liked that you can adjust the setting. When if it's too hard, you go a little bit softer and you're good.     Our first Sleep Number bed gave out and we had some problems with mold as well as stuff under the pad. We then went to iComfort and used it for maybe a year but it just didn't fit my husband well. So we went back to Sleep Number when they told us that they had fixed some of the problems that we had with the first bed and bought our second mattress as well as two pillows around the first of the year. Their sales person was great. We already have a platform bed frame so we just had our purchases delivered and set it up ourselves. I'm not having any problems with the mattress but I'm not overly thrilled with the pillows. Nevertheless, I'd recommend Sleep Number.

    So let's start off with save yourself the headache! My husband and I went in because we need completely different firmness levels. In the store we tried the different mattresses and found that we really liked the comfort of the i8 (One of the more expensive models). Still a bit apprehensive, the associate said we had nothing to lose and assured us that we had 100 nights to try the mattress and if we did not like it, we could simply return it for a full refund... WRONG! First of all, you should know that you should not believe ANYTHING a salesperson tells you, and I take responsibility for that, but so that is doesn't happen to you, read on...

    We received the bed, which feels NOTHING like the showroom model, in fact, it feels as if I am sleeping on a deflated air mattress from Walmart. I could have saved thousands and purchased a air mattress, deflated it a bit, added a foam cover, and walla... got a Sleep Number. Also, the remote and pump are a bit wonky, we tell the bed to fill it up more, and it deflates, and vice versa. So I called the store, to which I was promptly referred to customer service. I then called customer service, and after a 30 minute hold time, they picked up and promptly hung up. :( So I called back and after a 26 minute hold time, finally spoke with someone. This someone told me that the store associate had in fact NOT represented the 100 day return policy correctly, and that we did in fact have something to lose, almost $350!!! We had to pay a $179.99 delivery charge when we purchase which they will not refund, which I guess I can understand.

    Still not as advertised by the employee. However, they want to charge me $29.99 per box to take it apart and send it back... in 5 boxes!!! OR charge another $179.99 pick up fee to come get it themselves. So, the full refund isn't quite a full refund, its quite the opposite, and maybe if the bed they delivered actually felt as soft and fantastic as the showroom, I wouldn't want to return it. I do not believe I should have to cough up MORE money to get rid of a mattress that's not even KIND of as nice as the one I thought I was purchasing! I've read a ton of the terrible reviews now, and I am not the only one who thinks I was sent less of a bed than I thought I was purchasing...     We purchased a Sleep Number C4 mattress. Its listed height is 10 inches. When we received the mattress, we noticed that its height was only 8 (when it was fully inflated). We immediately sent an email to Sleep Number asking them to clarify this issue. Their reply was the measurement is taken in a laboratory setting [with a laser] and can be a difficult measurement to duplicate in the home. I have a PhD in Engineering, I really do not know how a laser measurement can add 2 inches. We truly believe that the quoted height of 10 inches is MISLEADING if this cannot be measured at home with a reasonable error. We are very disappointed. If you ever consider purchasing a Sleep Number mattress, make sure you measure its height!!!

    My husband has a really bad back and I thought Sleep Number would give him some relief. The sales reps took their time with us, showed us all around, and let us try out different beds. We purchased two mattresses, mattress pad covers, and pillows. The delivery guys took away our old bed and got us all fixed up. We like the quality overall. My husband loves his bed, and it has helped his painful back tremendously. But he will need to take the remote back to the store to have it checked because either it runs out of batteries super quickly or it comes on and off intermittently. And then, one side of the bed makes a very loud ticking noise when we raise the foot portion of it, so, my husband's gonna ask them to come out and take a look at it.

    The Sleep Number bed is expensive and we ended up paying just shy of $3,000 for it. It's a little steep but it's an investment. You spend a whole bunch of money on a mattress and then a couple of years later, you end up buying a new one because they wear out. So the point is, I'll never ever buy a bed again and as long as I don't buy one for the next 10 years, I'll be okay. But what I'm most unhappy about is the price of the sheets and the pillows. The bed is a king size with a split in the middle, so we were forced into buying the sheets for it, but the price is over $100 and a pillow costs $70. But everything else was great. In fact, I have told my friends about Sleep Number, but for them to be careful about the price of the sheets.

    I bought Sleep Number because of its good reputation. I had a really lousy sales experience experience however. I went to the store two or three times and I was not very pleased with the service and the way I was dealt with, so I ended up ordering my bed on the phone. The delivery and set up went fine though, they demonstrated the different parts of the bed for me. Still, I was not pleased because I ordered a mattress cover and they gave me the wrong size. I still have the mattress cover even though I couldn't use it since Sleep Number was supposed to call me back and set up where I could exchange the cover for the king-size, but they never did that.

    My son had purchased a Sleep Number and really liked it. My husband is very ill, and we needed a new bed for him so we decided to try the Sleep Number. We only got the twin size for him because he's on a machine and he can't move around so there's no point in having a big one. And he had to have the adjustable which we got. It was incredibly expensive. By the time we got done, it was $5,000 for a twin size bed so I consider the cost pretty prohibitive. He also has some trouble, and so do I, with the remote and trying to figure out how to make things work and turn them off. But he's been happy with it. We got the heating and cooling unit. He had used the cooling unit during the summer and will be using the heating unit now.

    The reps were also very polite and helpful and nice to work with and they did a good job. The sales staff was extremely accommodating. They gave my son some credits for referring me. I had questions about the bedding sheets, waterproof pads and pillows and they were very helpful with that. The pillows that we got from them are a hundred bucks apiece and very expensive but I love them. I have recommended Sleep Number to friends.

    We love the Sleep Number bed. When we looked at the difference between our old bed and this new one, we liked the fact that he could have his way and I could have my way, so we purchased the c2 mattress and base. The sales representatives at Sleep Number took their time to explain to us the difference between the beds and the payments. They also helped us out with the questions we have, they let us try the bed and the different settings. They also showed us on the TV where our pressure points were at.

    Their delivery team were great as well. When we used to buy the regular beds, we had to clear the way and it was more of a mess and chaos.But the Sleep number delivery team has set up the bed real quick.     We had different beds in the past - regular, standard mattresses and they have never solved any of our back problems. Then we thought Sleep Number might be of some help. We went to a mall near and bought our Sleep Number bed with remote and it's working fine. It's better than the others that we've had. Clakamas is a good salesman. She leeched us out of all our money without even hurting. Their delivery team put all the bed together pretty well. We are mostly satisfied. My dog likes it and one of our cats is sleeping on it now. She seems real satisfied and she makes a bit of a den 'til we got it at a softer setting. However we expected too much. It's a lot of money for not getting exactly what you want but it's close. I got a bad back and my wife isn't much better either. It doesn't solve all my problems but I wish it would.

    I bought a king-size dual mattress adjustment bed in April, it cost me almost 10,000 but my husband wanted it so that was that. The bed frame now makes a horrible noise every time you try and raise or lower the head or foot on my husband's side. I called Sleep Number and they said they don't carry the warranty on this, that a company called Flexfit does, I wasn't told that when I bought the bed.

    Anyhow I called them and they sent a part to a so-called repair man. We set up a date and time and an hour before he was supposed to come he called and cancelled, said he would get back to me. That has been a week ago and I haven't heard a word from him even though I have left 2 messages on his phone. I called Flexfit back and they told me I had to deal with him myself and that was that. I called Sleep Number again and they also said they wouldn't handle it. I am so mad!!! There is an old saying "Make a person happy, you never hear a word back but make someone angry and the whole world will know".

    We were unhappy with the other beds we had, which were something in the order of a Tempur-Pedic and an Original Mattress Factory bed. So we got Sleep Number's full gamut, which was worth $9,500. We got the adjustable base, one of the more top of the line mattresses, all the sheets, pillow cases, and knee pillows. I met the sales rep one time, and she was helpful and friendly. The delivery team did a good job. They knew what they were doing, and were in and out pretty quick. However, I'm disappointed with the base.     A nightmare from the beginning after purchasing bed from the Southlake,TX store. The bed is a king bed that the head raises, & foot raises, & wave action. Pumps were not working after a week, air mattress keeps sliding down towards the foot of the bed & will not stay near the headboard, went the store and was told by management that they just sell beds & given a number to call to schedule repairs. Was offered to buy a $1500 headboard with a $100 discount, no way. Called the number & took about a week. The most unprofessional person showed up, dirty shirt, no card to identify himself, only a bag of tools & Sleep Number parts. Item was fixed but he had difficulty in doing that. I asked about the mattress issue I had reported & he had no clue what to do about it. Now the wave action will not work. Too many issues for a 4K bed. This my second Sleep Number bed & my last.

    I talked with several of my older friends and they said that Sleep Number was a decent bed, so I went out and spent way too much money for the bed that it is. The sales people were very sufficient with what they knew about the product, but they were not well-enough informed about the base and the way it should be properly installed.

    The gentleman that came here to install the Sleep Number seemed very knowledgeable and he made some suggestions to me as to what should be done for the foundation and what it should sit on before I put the mattress. He said it will bow without proper support in time, and the proper support would be in the way of the legs that are sold separately which were never mentioned to me. That information should be known to the sales representatives and they should also understand why that could be necessary for extra support in the frame itself. Obviously, they did not know anything about it. Overall Sleep Number is okay, but it’s not great for the money I spent.

    We had a mattress for about 28 years, guaranteed for 20, and it was too good, but we got to the point where it needed to be replaced so we bought a new bed from Sears. And for whatever reason, the box springs on one side didn’t match the other box springs. It actually sloped to one side. We couldn’t convince Sears that it was their fault so we finally gave up on that and decided to get a Sleep Number bed. We liked the idea of the adjusted foot and that was the reason we made the purchase.

    It’s two separate beds with two separate units. I told the two installers that one side was lower than the other. I thought the installer would adjust that when he'd finish it but he never did. We began to realize it when we made the bed Monday morning. We adjusted it back to 100 and that’s when we recognized the fact that it slopes. The left-hand base is not level with the right-hand base. It’s not uncomfortable but just a little annoying at times. We haven’t been over to Kenwood as I want to stop in and have a chat because I think it ought to be adjusted. It would be easier if they contacted us and we made an appointment for an adjustment than having to go across town. But the comfort level and the ability to adjust both the foot and the head are so relaxing that we obviously would recommend it to anybody.

We got frustrated and went shopping around and decided to go with Sleep Number because of the fact that we could adjust and maybe hopefully compensate for that. The delivery was good, but they put the Sleep Number inside my existing bed frame and not screwed into the thing, so it's down too far.     Our experience in the Sleep Number store was a very good experience. Bobby was our salesperson. He was very knowledgeable about different types of we wanted to look at. He took the time to explain the differences of each style of the beds offered. We test them and decided on x12 model. We set up a time the bed to delivered which was supposed to be delivered the week before actually received it. This was an inconvenience because we had to arrange time from work to be here. Then when the bed was delivered part of it came with the installers and then they had to wait until the rest was delivered by UPS later in the day. Seems to me that that part of the bed should have came with the installation team or sent to our house in advance! The installers did a great job on their installation and showing me how to use the bed correctly.

    Was not satisfied with how the dual temp worked. Thought it was a great concept but did not make me feel cool, I would still get warm and when I moved the bed was cold making me wake up further. I am ok with the fact that I did not find this product to work for me, my biggest frustration is with the return charges. I paid to have home delivery, they did not bring it in a box and they took the boxes that the blower units came in. I didn't expect to have to pay to have it returned and since I had no boxes I would have to figure out how to box it up. Paying again to have them come pick it up, another $99. This should be able to be returned to the store and your customers not have to pay such an additional expense.

    We ordered a new Sleep Number and were tossed around between two different store reps on the first visit. They were very rushed and didn't even give us all the information we needed - later found that out. Delivered the bed at 8:30 pm on a weekday. When they brought it in they damaged our railing inside and out! The frame of the bed now shows the 2-1/2 inch scratches from then dragging it across our railing! Told us we could email them with pictures and they would give us a $200 correct. So we did and never heard a response so emailed again and have called and left messages and now are telling us there isn't anything they can do.

    We want to return it and they told us we can but not the frame! This is the worst business I have ever dealt with! They keep pushing me back towards the first rep who did nothing and they keep telling me she is going to email me and never does! Worst customer service. We are looking into a small claims for the issue since they will not work with us on the matter. Good luck to any suckers out there!

    I have been trying to get my bed fixed and the Cooling system won't work. I am on hold for 40 minutes... Ask to speak to a manager and then I am disconnected. This will be the THIRD time I have to have someone come to my house. Once for delivery, once to fix, and another because it needs to be replaced. They do not work with you at all... I had my bed delivered on August 6th and it is November 14th and I am still trying to get this fixed. I have an appt. scheduled for 12/6! I don't appreciate having to hold for 40 minutes and then being disconnected. I have placed a note on my Facebook telling people not to buy a Sleep Number. My bed was $16000.     My wife and I are considering buying one of your mattresses, but this is a HUGE investment! One factor that is just sticking in my craw, is this 100 day "test ride" of the mattress. This is a HUGE incentive, EXCEPT, it doesn't apply to the Flex Fit Frame! WTF! So, if I do not like my mattress, I'm free to return it for a refund, but I'm STUCK WITH THE FRAME... A $2,000.00 FRAME! This is seriously putting my purchase in jeopardy. It's bad enough to pay $2,000.00 for a mattress, and ANOTHER $2,000.00 for a movable frame, but to get stuck with a frame if I decide I do not like the bed, is just outrageous!     My wife and I purchased a split king Sleep Number bed. We went in expecting to be very satisfied with the bed, and did not read the fine print on the contract. The 100 night sleep guarantee almost worthless. We do not like the bed. We were not aware that the base is not available. We got the split king adjustable and the cost was about $7,000. The base, sheets, and mattress pads are not returnable. We can only get about $3,300 back for the mattress. Our "free" 100 night sleep test is going to cost us about $3,700.

    I feel that Sleep Number is a very crooked organization, and I encourage everyone to look at other options. Sales was great. I could tell customer service got a lot of unsatisfied customer calls. She said a lawyer could look at the contract, but I had no basis to get the bases returned. As I read the contract the base is returnable, so this fight isn't over yet. Sleep Number = dishonest, crooked, manipulative, sneaky, expensive. Stay away from Sleep Number.

    I have some reflux and my ENT had recommended I get a bed that elevated. I bought a Sleep Number and the thing that raises my legs makes a horrible creaking noise about a month or two after we got the bed. Also, Sleep Number did change out the top to make the bed a little softer, which was very nice of them, but the mattress is not very soft even with the upgrade we have. It sags more than anything. Then the space we have for the two tops that go up is supposed to be 4 inches at most at the top but it's 6-8 inches. So we have to have a pillow. It's been disappointing with the comfort level and the quality.

    We had a king size Sleep Number for about 7 years that we liked very much for the adjustability of support. My husband likes it very firm while I need softer support. I did have to add a 3 inch memory foam topper to make it more comfortable for me after the first few years. The foam support surrounding the air bladder did get slightly distorted on my side of the bed as I tend to sleep near the edge of the mattress too. Despite the minor problems we decided to get another Sleep Number and place the first one in the guest room.

    We decided on the top of the line model split king with adjustable head and foot for each side. It has more memory foam in the mattress with the sleep cool or warm sides, too. The bed was great for sleeping at first but the two mattresses started separating more and more creating a "gully" of about 3-4 inches between the two sides over the first six months. This is not good if you like to cuddle or have sex. Customer service sent the same guys that set our bed up. They were polite and tried to readjust where the the mattress are attached to the support board and frame. But since the mattresses are only attached to the frame with cleats going through fabric on the bottom of the mattress it didn't help. They said there wasn't anything more they could do.

    Now after less than 3 years the "gully" is a chasm of over 6-7 inches with the mattresses needing to be constantly pushed back toward the middle to keep it completely on the support frame. The bed is completely useless for sexual activity. It also is not working for my side sleeping any longer as it irritates the bursitis I now have in my hips and shoulders no matter how I try to adjust the bed. I sleep better on the memory foam mattress in the other bedroom. I regret spending over 5K for this bed and now want to replace it asap.

    Maybe the problems could be helped with some sort of design that keeps the mattresses from sliding to the edges with a firm board surround but it think the foam pieces that surround the air bladder would just break down with use and you would still have a problem in the middle of the bed in this model. In short; If you plan on having sex in bed don't get the adjustable full split bed model and some side sleepers may not like SN beds due to lower amounts of memory foam.

    I'm so disappointed with the lack of service options. I loved my Sleep Number bed for many years. For the past 2 weeks my bed has been deflating all day, all night. I did part one of your customer support. Clearly my tubing has been compromised or the air pump. I do not want to mess with my spouse's tubing or pump for the fear of messing that up. Also, it is not easy to remove all the bedding, pads, foam etc. I'm a senior with a terminally ill husband. I don't have the energy, strength or time to deal with this. I have no options other than to pay $180 for a service call or spend hours taking apart my bed and risk not getting properly together and potentially waiting weeks for parts and service along with high fees. Why would I ever buy another Sleep Number bed? I'm totally disappointed and greatly fatigued. I'm open to suggestions other than what your customer service has to offer.

    Our bed was delivered on August 12, we were scheduled for a morning delivery and they did not arrive till evening with no call from them. So had call Sleep Number, be on hold for 40 mins with Sleep Number waiting to find out when they would be coming just to be put on hold again and the call was dropped by them, so called back and waited another 30 mins and this is on top of my husband taking part of the day off to be here for the delivery. Since then in the first week bed started having connection issues, emailed and did live chat and did not get a response till 4 days later. 3rd week of owning, Bed started knocking loudly when raising or lowering along with the issue still having with loss of connection and remote's working the wrong sides and lowering and raising when not supposed to.

    Called and again on hold for over 30 mins yet again. Let them know all issues of bed. Parts were ordered. Tech was to call when they arrived and I had to end up calling him to find out he had them for a while. 8th week owning Set, appt for repair tech 9th week. Appt day tech was here late so I call him and remind him of our appt. He arrived and although he was a nice man he was very hard to understand due to several missing teeth, he appeared very unclean and unprofessional so much so that it was uncomfortable to have him here that I called my father to come over while he was here. Not all the parts came that should have, was told new remotes were order and control box but that was not the case. He did fix the knocking noise by removing factory installed plastic washers. That I kept due to fear of warranty issues.

    Appt ended with him calling and reordering control box and remotes then I was told remotes are on back order. In three months' time I have replaced batteries and both my husband's as well as mine 3 times due to dying. Waited two weeks. Control box came in. Tech came late again. Replaced box and still no remotes. Now a week later the right side of the bed will not raise the head of bed and makes both beds return to flat. Called tech on Fri to let him know, he said he was busy on Fri but would call Sleep Number and call me back... It's Saturday and still no word and broken bed. Very frustrated and regret our purchase. And calling Sleep Number support requires a full time job it seems due to the hold times, so VERY disappointed.

We had a lovely session with two sales professionals at the Sleep Number store who were very helpful, open, friendly and it was a very big part in why we pulled the trigger at that point.     This is the review I left for the Sleep Number website last night. I will share this wherever I can to let people know they shouldn't bother with this company. We have had our Sleep Number ILE (this is the special model on sale for half price during Labor Day) for about 1.5 months. We loved the one we tried in the store over Labor Day. This is NOT the same bed! We paid $3k (supposedly worth nearly $6k). As other reviewers said, it "hammocks" like a used mattress, doesn't support your lower back, makes your hips hurt when you side sleep after about 15 mins... etc. The mattress in the store was very comfortable and we lay in it for about 45 mins to be sure it was the one. The one that came to our house says it's an ILE, but is definitely not the same bed. We are so disappointed. I am an average sized woman -5'8", 140 lbs, so it's not like I am taxing this mattress.

    After having awakened up hurting in the middle of the night again last night, we decided to zip open the "pillow top". There is the top, which is about 1/2 inch thick and a piece of egg crate foam about 3 inches if you measure from the bottom to the top of one of the peaks. It is not even close to memory foam. It is a cheap piece of foam that sinks to the bottom when you press on it. Of course the website shows layers and layers of special foams between you and the air chambers. The customer service people say these many layers are all sewn together in that pillow top. Don't be fooled.

    When the pillow top (of all these many layers) and the egg crate foam are compressed, you have about 1/2 inch, if that, between you and the chambers. Again, this is not what we tried out in the store. The one in the store was very plush and supported my back. I chose it because I am a back sleeper. It looks nothing like the one on the website. In fact, I expressed concern that the mattress looked flimsy and was told by the customer service rep. that it would smooth out over time. It sure looks like it is missing some filling materials.

    My husband called the store manager, who said only customer service could help us. When my husband mentioned that he feels like we were defrauded (meaning bait and switch) they immediately agreed to refund not only the cost of the mattress but also the original shipping/set up cost we paid and would not charge a dime to come pick it up. The profit for them on these must be phenomenal since they didn't bat an eye to a total refund request after the word fraud surfaced. Wouldn't want the BBB to get a complaint. What a racket. I am almost certain this review won't be allowed to be published, but it sure made me feel better writing it. I will tell everyone I know about our experience with this company's product. They just don't seem to be honest. Maybe it was the local store. Who knows? Don't waste your money.

    Why I didn't buy a Sleep Number bed at the Fort Myers, Florida store. I was sold on the Sleep Number bed by the product and the warranty. All of that was undone by the sales staff in the store. The salesman (Sol) had a terrific "Bait and Switch" technique in which he would call me with one price quote, and in person claim that he could not possibly have left such a message for me because the price was too low. He would also constantly try to up-sell from the P5 to the P6 against our stated desire.

    Worst of all, when we were in the store awaiting the calculations on what we wanted, my wife heard the salesman conspiring with a more senior saleswoman to call the Facebook $100 discount, a "Military" discount. I have dealt with some extremely sleazy salespeople in the past, however this team takes the bottom feeder prize for slithering through the feculent practices of placing personal gain over all else by mocking patriotic selflessness of Military Service. Any organization that would not clean house of a store infested with such amoral vermin, is not one that I would support by purchasing their product anywhere.

    I am disabled due to my back. I got the mattress and an adjustable base from Sleep Number but I'm disappointed with the mattress. It is way too firm even if my Sleep Number is 25. I was thinking that the bed I laid down at the showroom was what I was gonna be getting. That was comfortable but this one isn't. I was thinking they could have sent me a mattress pad but they didn't offer me any suggestions or solutions. I had to go out and purchase a memory foam cover made by a different company. Other than that, I like the adjustable frame. I have back problems and got spinal fusion in my neck but I seem to sleep a lot better because I can elevate my head slightly to where my neck is comfortable. Also, the sales reps were professional and the delivery people came on time.

    I had Sleep Number for five years now and loved it. I had a queen size and a twin bed. Their sales professionals were really great, but the delivery was the only problem. The first time, on the queen size, was fine. On the second delivery, I asked the delivery team to deliver the bed to my work because I was moving, but they didn't and they delivered it to the new house. And so, I was there on the day that they say they delivered the bed, and the bed was not there. But when I went later that night, the bed was sitting on the porch, and the people said they delivered it. I tracked it and the tracker said that they delivered it at a certain time, which is impossible because I was there. Anybody could have taken the bed, so the delivery team messed that up. But it ended up being at the house, was still there and nobody took it, so that was good. Other than that, I love the bed - it's high quality. I highly recommend a Sleep Number to anyone.

    We bought a motor home. It had a Sleep Number bed in it and we really liked it. Then recently we bought a bed. The guy at the Sleep Number store was very helpful. The staff who delivered the bed to our home were terrific. They showed me how to operate the bed and cleaned up after themselves. We're very happy with the bed. We had gone through two previous mattresses at great expense and hated both of them. So when we got this, we knew we liked the one on our motor home, so we got this one. And I commented to my husband last night. I don't even feel the bed move when he gets up in the night to go to the bathroom which is very nice.

    When they opened the packaging a little live mouse got out then hid in the closet. While I'm making the bed and stuff I see something out the corner. My eyes ran across and saw a mouse. I had not had mice before we had that bed delivered. We caught them very quickly and my husband called and reported it to the Sleep Number people. They were very nice. Other than that incident everything was lovely and I am sleeping better.

    My husband and I have had a Sleep Number bed for about 15 years now. It's starting to lose its usefulness and so we decided to purchase a new one. Two weeks ago we placed the order and selected today, October 28th, as our delivery day. I was assured that we would receive a call with a time for delivery. As of this morning we had not heard from the delivery department. I called this morning to ask when I could expect my bed and why had I not received a call.

    Apparently they called the old number in our account instead of the new number that we had given. That said, I find out today that my delivery time is somewhere between 2:30 and 6:30! Had I received this information I would never have agreed to this time frame as I had dinner plans that evening and never anticipated such a late window. Still, I was assured that 6:30 was a remote possibility and it would probably come sooner. I was told to call back at 12:30 for a better time. When I did I was told that there still was no information available. I again stressed that I had plans and needed to know. In the meantime, I had completely dismantled my bed earlier in the morning in hopes that it would help expedite the process.

    A short time later I heard from a woman in the delivery department who told me that, not only would I not receive my bed by 6:30 but that they were anticipated at least one hour past my delivery window and maybe up until 9 pm! I told her that was unacceptable and asked to speak with the supervisor. Tameka, the supervisor, told me that there was nothing that she could do about it. I told her that unless she could get my bed to me, I would cancel my order. She asked if I would like to be transferred to customer service. I agreed. Then Tameka put me on hold for 20 minutes! I actually called from another phone while I was still on hold and spoke to Anthony who said he would transfer me to Jeff but hung up on me instead.

    I called back and finally spoke to Jeff who told me that Tameka was still trying to help me. How exactly, I have no idea. Mind you, my other phone was still on hold with Tameka. Finally I was transferred to Emily who told me that there was nothing that she could do either and that the delivery people were delayed by a four bed setup that took longer than expected. Not exactly what I wanted to hear. What I wanted was for someone to tell me that they were going to help me. That they would find a way of getting my bed to me before 9 pm! That somewhere along the line someone would be an angel and fix this but, while everyone apologized, in reality no one actually cared.

    I canceled my order. Now I sit here with no bed. I ask you, isn't this what you do everyday? How, exactly, could the delay be pushed so far? Why, exactly, is no one willing to go the extra step and help when something like this happens? I'm sad and frustrated and angry and I want someone to be held accountable. Customer service, especially from the delivery department, is shockingly poor.

    When my husband and I tried out the flex top king I8 bed in the store it was really comfortable so we bought it (minus the base) last November. I was in a car accident in December and fractured my L3. When we finally got our bed in January (delivery was delayed due to us moving) I was so excited because I thought it would help with my back, but I've still been having pain every day. I adjust my sleep number but nothing really seems to help. We would have returned it but we couldn't afford anything else at the time. We have now had it for 10 months and I still feel like I got a better nights sleep on my old mattress.

    I'm now kicking myself for buying a $5000 glorified air mattress. I am just hoping that there is still some way that I can return it. I don't care if I have to pay the return shipping as long as I get back what I paid for the bed. On another note be weary of the lyocell (however that it spelled) sheets. We got these really nice looking light brown ones but my side turned a brownish green color which I can only assume is a reaction to my skin but they were too expensive to have to replace this soon. Overall I am very disappointed in Sleep Number for the poor quality and in myself for the poor decision. I'm just glad I never got the base now that I am finding out that it is not returnable at all.

    Purchased this bed on October 8th. Yes it feels good, but then any new mattress does. What angers me is that if you want to return it you are pretty well hosed. We purchased the FlexFit 2 Adjustable base to help with my back. The salesman just happened to forget to tell us that you can't return it. No one can tell me why they won't take back THEIR adjustable base that they sold me. Sounds like a major scam to me. Nothing like having to spend $8,000 and then being treated like scum. I'm already talking to my lawyer about a lawsuit since they offer no return for their own product on the bed frame. Should be a good amount of money for something as simple as Select Comfort not standing behind their own frames.

    Our bed was delivered September 17th. When the installer tried the remote control it was defective. It could only perform the firmness function (soft or hard). It couldn't show the Sleep IQ function. The installer assured me a new remote control would be ordered and sent to us. Two weeks later I phoned Customer Service to find out when the remote would arrive. I was on hold for over 15 minutes. I hung up and phoned later. Again I was on hold for over 15 minutes. I hung up and tried Live Chat through Select Comfort's website. I was informed that no remote had been ordered. The Live Chat person ordered a replacement for me and promised it would come in two weeks. NOTHING arrived.

    We went to our local store for help. We were told they couldn't help us; that we needed to call Customer Service or UPS. We called UPS and found out the package was 'missing'. UPS contacted Select Comfort to inform them of 'nondelivery'. Another new remote control was to be ordered. I phoned Customer Service to make sure the new remote was indeed ordered. However I was told via a recording that their phone lines were too busy with unexpected volume of calls, so I should phone back another time! FINALLY, the new replacement remote arrived TODAY... 38 days after our bed was installed. Our bed cost over $3500. We love our bed but we are NOT impressed with Select Comfort's total lack of Customer Service or Support.

    I was looking for a new mattress for my RV, and got one from Sleep Number. In my motor home, the wood base of the bed is set on a pedestal and over the top of the diesel engine that's in it. The sales rep took us through the store and showed us three or four different mattresses, the ones that lift up. We lay on them and the rep showed us how to operate the controls, and how to move the beds up and down. So, he worked quite extensively through all of the mattresses there. I had the mattress delivered and set up, and so far, everything's been great with it. Compared to our old bed, we get a lot better sleep on our Sleep Number bed, and I'm very satisfied with it.

    We needed a new mattress, went into a Sleep Number store to look at the mattress, get prices, and the salesman sold us that day. The sales professional was very good, thorough, showed us all the options and helped us make a good decision. We got the sheets too because there was a special going on. Plus, the delivery team were very efficient, came in, got it set up and did a very nice job. The bed is wonderful, and the quality is fantastic. We love Sleep Number and we're very happy we got it. We look forward to sleeping on it the rest of our lives.

    We've had Sleep Number beds since 1995. The first one we purchased was in our motor home and we moved out of there in April. And then we bought a king size for our new home because of the ability for each person to control their side of the bed. The sales guy that we spoke to was great. Our new bed is better than the first one we've purchased. The only thing I really have difficulty with is getting sheets on it and keeping them on. I have the proper sheets but they seem to wiggle off.

    The 100 day trial period is a great marketing idea and it won me over. I was suspicious that somehow I would in fact lose out if I had to send the mattress back. So I talked in length with several Sleep Number professionals before making my purchase. After confirming with an in-store rep as well as 2 customer service agents via phone I decided I could stand to lose the cost of shipping ($180) if the mattress did not work. I asked in several different manners and with different angles to ensure that if I returned it, all I was out was the initial shipping costs ($180). I even specifically asked, "If I return the bed, I really get everything back expect $180?" Too good to be true! After being assured that this was the case by all 3 reps, I sprung for a mattress. What was NOT explained, though I asked 3 representatives repeatedly, was that not only do I lose initial $180 for the shipping, but I am also responsible to pay $180 to have it shipped back.

    If you return the bed you lose $360 NOT $180. I understand this 100%, it makes good business sense, but what bothers me greatly is this was NEVER explained, even when I very clearly and specifically asked. This is bad business. The mattress itself was not very impressive. It is really an air mattress with a foam padding on the top. It was comfy, but not $3,000 comfy. For $3,000 I want to yell with joy every night when I jump in bed. Maybe that is asking too much, but I certainly don't want to wake up with back pains every morning (which is why we are sending ours back). All-in-all, I am sure these beds work for some folks, but the reason I am VERY dissatisfied is because Sleep Number did not come through on its promises. Please just be upfront with customers. Tell them they are out $360 if they return the bed. It's that easy.

    I've only had this mattress 4 nights and I hate it. My back is killing me. I've had to take pain medicine for it. I call, they tell me I have to wait 30 days after waiting 42 minutes to talk to someone so I ask if they can go ahead and schedule a pick up 30 days out because I'm going this week to get a different mattress. They tell me no! My husband has never had back pain from a mattress and his back has hurt him every night! This was the worst purchase we have ever made and your customer service sucks! If I sleep on this bed for 30 nights I'll have to go see a damn chiropractor!

    Because of what we've been hearing from people, we decided to buy a mattress and a base from Sleep Number. However, the salesperson didn't explain things very well. I asked if it was like an air mattress and he said that it wasn't. But when I put it together it is an air mattress. It's the worst bed we've ever had, and my wife hates it.

    I have a bad back but have felt relief since using Sleep Number. I like how I can recline the bed or if my feet are hurting, I can raise that part. I look forward going to bed every day.     I would not know how my Sleep Number bed sleeps. I purchased it 3 weeks ago it is still not in my home. I am 70 yrs. old and have not had a bed because I sold my other. The first week they were booked. Only deliver on Thursday, they were full. Next, delivery date I was out of town on business. Guaranteed delivery on 10/20/16 and even sent me an email confirming delivery. Guess what someone more important must have come along? They did not show. No call. Stayed home all day. I see many delivery problems in these reviews. Never again. Costco here I come.

    I have placed an order on August 25, 2016 and as of today October 19, 2016 I still haven't received the order. There seems to be back order of beds and you get to hold 30 minutes or longer for customer service that has no idea where the order is. I did receive the sheets and the mattress protector one week from the date of purchase and now I can't return $413.00 sheets due to 30 day return policy and bed takes over 2 months to arrive. My Order #**. I've decided to go with Reverie 8Q Cal King. Services are much better and so is the bed.

    My husband and purchased the P5 bed. We lay on it in two different stores. The bed that was delivered to us was horribly uncomfortable. The foam pads that were sent to us did not help at all nor did it matter what the settings were. An air mattress from Walmart is more comfortable. The Customer Service team basically does not exist, it is 100% unacceptable to be on hold for a minimum of 25 minutes prior to ever speaking to a representative. When we contacted the sales associate for help, she was forbidden by corporate to do anything, we couldn't even send her email pictures of the bed. When we emailed Customer Service with pictures it was 3 days before anyone even responded to us, again that is completely unacceptable. When we wanted to return the bed, it was incredibly difficult and Customer Service again was very argumentative and difficult.

    All this company wants is money and I am incredibly disappointed that we ever even considered a Sleep Number bed. When the gentlemen came to pick up the bed we were given a phone number to return the mattress pad since we were returning the bed. He stated that he was unable to take it, it needed returned through a separate shipping department. When I attempted to return it, I was told that I could not, I could only exchange it for something else. Why would I want something else from Sleep Number?? The bed was so uncomfortable my husband could barely walk or turn his neck from sleeping on it and had to go to the chiropractor from the bed that "promised us the best night's sleep we ever had."

    Now I have a $400 bill and nothing to show for it. It is absolutely ridiculous that we had to buy a $219 mattress cover in order to maintain the warranty and now that we do not even have the bed I cannot return it. If I could give this company a "0" star rating I would!! I will make sure that as many people as possible are made aware of what a shady company Sleep Number is and it is in everyone's best interest to never purchase anything from them ever!

    Our bed inflate and deflate whenever we try to move the controls regardless of whether we are trying to move the right or left side of the bed. When you call customer service, we did this twice today, (we were on hold over 30 minutes each call). Who does business that way. I bet the sales side answers phones much quicker! A young lady who was obviously troubleshooting from a form made us answer and do multiple tasks for another half hour. It was crazy! For an $8,000 dollar bed under warranty send a tech out for goodness sakes!

    Now in resolve, they are sending a part out that may or may not be the problem and thank goodness a set-up tech who might know something and since the bed is a whopping 10 months old (under warranty) they will cover charges and acted like I should be so very grateful! I was so frustrated during the first call, I was tears! I can't believe anyone ever buys a second bed or recommends these to a friend! I am scared to use the remote. It has not been fun to be part of the Sleep Number Family!

    My wife was dissatisfied with our old bed so we got a Sleep Number and she is ecstatic about it. Sleep Number was having a sale so their reps were very busy when we went to the store. The salesperson was dealing with about three different clients at a time but they were very good at letting us lie down and think about what we wanted at the same time. The delivery was fine but it’s a little disappointing to see the mattress come in boxes which one could ship in the mail. It didn't look like a mattress when it came out of the truck. I kept waiting for a big box to come out of the truck but there was no big box. Also, I'm still cautious about how long the edges of the bed are gonna stand up when I sit on them. But to this point, it's still doing good. There are no problems and no indications of problems.

    We purchased a sleep number king size bed a few years ago. In the beginning the mattress was very comfortable. You could adjust it and we were happy. Over the last year the mattress wouldn't inflate, So I called the company. I called the number listed under my warranty plan and I was put on hold for 35 minutes never speaking to a representative until I hung up and called and pressed the prompt for a sales person. The number for the sales department was answered in 35 seconds. At which time I was told that I had to fix the bed myself. I explain to them I have a bad back and I can't lift things or crawl under the bed to adjust the hoses to diagnose the problem. Finally after quite a long conversation, they said they would set up a service call for me which would cost $189. The sales person said that he could knock it down to just $99. I agreed and they came.

    The servicemen were very nice and replaced the pump and gave me a new remote. Unfortunately they admitted that the bed would not this Inflate. They left and said they would call the company and send another person. I have never heard from anyone at sleep number again. It's been over two weeks. When I try to call again, once again I was put on hold. This time I waited for 18 minutes and hung up. I'm at a loss of what to do. I would not recommend buying this bed as they do not service their product.

    I got married 5 months ago. When my fiancée and I discussed the type of mattress we wanted to begin our life together we test drove a few but couldn’t come to an agreement. We decided to visit a Sleep Number store. The associate was excellent. He took the time to educate us about the product. We walked out purchasing a King Split with all the bells and whistles. (could have bought a small car for our final purchase price). We consider this an investment. It will outlive us. My only complaint is the remotes (specifically the buttons) don’t always work with initial contact. It acts as if it doesn’t make contact with the electrical.

    This morning at 10:25 I called Sleep Number customer care service only to be told that I must be transferred to a different department. All together at both departments I spent over half an hour on hold. Once I finally got through to the correct person as I was starting to get results my call was dropped. This was very very frustrating! I have a lovely Sleep Number. In fact it would be even better if it worked! I bought a Sleep Number with adjustable base and massage. The adjustable base works fine. The massage feature is almost completely non existent.

    I have been online to try and shoot troubleshoot this problem myself to no avail. Navigating through your site is lengthy and were ready. Very hard to find or pinpoint exactly what it is you need for which model bed you have. Funny how when you're sitting there with the credit card people are more than happy to offer you bottled water and tell you how wonderful your plastic card is and how happy you're going to be with your bed. I encourage you to look elsewhere. Once the bed is sold you no longer exist. Their customer service is outsourced and you can barely get through this thick accent wrong good enough to try to understand any instructions given. Thousands of dollars for a bed that doesn't work.

    Last night I only slept 4 hours. And that's because the night before I only slept 3. It must have been from here exhaustion. Tonight maybe I'll sleep better on the couch. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. The damn thing isn't worth the money. And it definitely isn't worth the headache. Needless to say their customers service sucks and their products are cheap and shoddy. Now I understand why they come with such a long warranty. Didn't think I was going to need it. Little did I know.

    The Sleep Number mattress that I bought for my girlfriend is my second purchase from them. I have a platform bed but I like sleeping better on hers than mine. I really like beds with no frills and I've always hated those cushion beds. Their sales reps were very friendly.
