The bed itself is great. Love it. We financed half of the purchase. They describe the financing as an installment plan. How many payments and how much each payment is. IT IS NOT!!!! It is a credit card. So what happens is it shows up on your credit report as a credit card that is maxed out. It will kill your credit score. It is NOT an installment acct like they describe. On your paperwork it even states number of payments and amount of each payment. I’m not sure how they get away with this. Beware.

Our original bed was not adjustable and that was why we got the second one later on. Sleep Number's sales representatives were great. I have a reflux disease and I needed to raise the head of my bed up. I also have a bad back and my husband was having a breathing problem. I was just fussing with the bed this morning and I'm not sure I’m really happy at the moment. It seems like my side of the bed is getting a kind of a dent in it. I sleep on my side but it doesn’t seem like it ought to be that deep. Overall, I'm quite satisfied -- I wouldn’t have bought the second one if I hadn’t been. I also bought my daughter one and she loves it.

We just wanted information at this time. We were very impressed and the salesperson was great. It really helps to experience the different features. As an older person this would provide a comfortable sleep and even help with certain medical conditions.

We upgraded to a king-sized Sleep Number bed and this is our second Sleep Number bed. We had the first one for three years. The gentleman out of the Coon Rapids explained everything to us. We weren’t sure if we had enough financing available and he helped to lay out all the possible options for us to go from there. Then we scheduled a home delivery since we got a flexible base. Overall, I really like the bed. The only thing that bothers me from time to time is my side of bed decides to try to slip off the frame. Other than that, it’s been all good so far, including with the delivery team.

I have owned 2 other beds. I have tried other beds but with new sleeping issues, I had to have my Sleep Number bed. If you have a partner then owning a Sleep Number bed is a absolute must. Invest the time and you won't be disappointed.

I was having back issues and the bed we had wasn't working. I like the squishy bed, but my husband likes a hard bed, so we bought our first Sleep Number and it helped immensely. I also got another one to go in the camper because I had back surgery and I was downstairs all day. We now have a king size in our bedroom, a queen size in our kids' and a queen size to go down in my office. It started out house-driven, and it's still house-driven, but we love them. We even talk about our beds to everybody. The first one that we purchased was the entire bed set, but the other two were just mattresses. We scheduled a home delivery for the first one and the other two were delivered because there was no base to worry about. They installed the first one and they were great, while for the other two, they came with UPS and they just dropped it off and left.

I had had an injury and I am disabled. I spend most of my time in bed and a Sleep Number bed is very comfortable. I can adjust depending on my pain needs and I can make my side go up and down as I need. There was nothing else that could compare for us. We love our bed. We had also bought from them previously and we referred a family member who purchased one as well.
I had also talked to some salespeople briefly when we were buying sheets for the bed and they were very helpful. We also scheduled for somebody to come out and the delivery team was great. We didn’t have the correct base for the bed because the salesman thought it would work without it so we didn’t buy the other one. But we had to get a different one and it was really two of them because the two sides move independently. So they helped us by telling us that and we didn’t have to find that out ourselves.

I went to the Greenville Sc store. Lisa helped me. I plan to purchase the bed she told me about. Great customer service. I was able to truly experience the feel of a Sleep Number bed. I loved it!! My husband will be trying the bed and we can’t wait to purchase. I would recommend Lisa and this Greenville sc store. I look forward to my sleep being better.

We've had a P5 Eastern King Split since Jan 2015. Time and again I've so wanted this company to redeem itself, as I know so many people who love their product. But alas, our experience with them has been sub par. First, they couldn't get our name right in the store. They actually created a name for my husband that didn't exist, and since we financed, this created huge problems for his credit--since he had to prove he was him, but it wasn't him... And this was after multiple tries of getting them to correct the problem. (3 years later we did resolve this issue.) And then there's the customer service in the store, which told us they custom make the beds, so ours would take awhile. And then I get a call the NEXT day that our bed is on its way.
When it arrived the people were fast enough, but I noticed the cover for the bed had a lot of loose threads. I wouldn't expect this from a $3000, "custom made" bed. And our protective mattress pad hadn't arrived ahead of the mattress--since they made it so fast--they couldn't coordinate its shipping fast enough. And since we had a toddler at the time, there was no way I wanted to use the mattress without a cover--thus, we had to run out and randomly buy one. And then spend more time on the phone, trying to sort out returning the previously ordered cover--which is non-returnable. (And unlike high end department stores that are willing to work with their customers, I found Sleep Number to be very unempathetic.) Luckily they did take it back, as it was their mistake, but it was like trying to get Trump to accept responsibility.
Fast forward three years, both my husband's and my air chambers fail. I ask if this is normal. I'm told no it's rare. I'm sent a replacement for his side first, it's the wrong side (and it was refurbished, which I was not told would be the case.) We finally get the right one. And then I request the second air chamber--same mess up--wrong side, and then I'm sent another refurbished one. This is where I decide I have to say something. In talking with customer service, they just tell you how much it's going to cost--they don't tell you what you're getting for your money. They don't give you the option, or they can't see the option.
This needs to change. The customer should know if they are buying something refurbished--especially if they can't return it--and it's replacing something that was bad to begin with. As I told the customer service agent, I really hope by reporting this, there will be some changes and improvements in their systems. With so many other good mattress companies out there, I feel like Sleep Number tries to set itself apart. And if they really want to succeed in doing that, I think they need to have better sales reps and informed customer service agents.

This is our fourth bed from Sleep Number. The previous one was 20 years old, and my wife wanted one that splits in the middle so that she could raise her side. Their sales professionals were awesome. Shawn and Cora were our two main contacts and I was very comfortable with them. We went back and forth three different times, looking at the beds. They always made me feel like I was their only customer and I felt well taken care of. They offered us to come and lay on the beds as many times as we needed to make the decision. It was a pretty pricey experience for us at this part of our lives, but we waited 'till they had a sale and they were good about letting us know. Also, the delivery guys moved the other bed for us into another room. It was all good.
However, I wish we would've gotten the one with the vibrator in it. Also, I'm not crazy about the sheets which I wish were cheaper. I had a problem with one pair where they got little knots on them, and Sleep Number took care of it. I called the home number and they sent out a new pair of sheets. They didn't give me a hard time. I also wish the bed had a little more memory foam in it. But it's everything we expected it to be. It is so much better than the old one because the old one didn't have any foam on the sides. Our new one has real airy foam, so it's way better.

Sleep Number p5. Worst experience ever. After expending $7000 on a bed, what we received was a mattress that the first night deflated. I am still waiting, 17 days later, they pick it up for a return. The 100 days trial it is not true, because you cannot return the base.

Once I got out of my tech training and started working full time, I got middle back pains every day or every night so I bought the cheapest Twin-size Sleep Number bed at the time. It got rid of the pain 98% of the time and I have always been able to find somewhere comfortable to be. Recently, I bought a King-size which was my third one. My girlfriend who is living with me wanted the tilting head to better alleviate her back issues. The delivery was almost perfect. They got it all set up in place and as they were going, I asked about moving it around because I needed it shifted about a foot one direction and against the wall. They said that it was delicate and I wanna be careful. The way they were linked together was just plastic and that he would do it later. But we both forgot and I was able to move it okay by myself. Other than that, it was perfect. The bed is high-quality and it should be for the price you pay for it.
I gave a previous bed to a friend of a friend and ended up having to replace the pump unit because the controller screen had gone dead. I got on the phone, got a hold of somebody, we got one chosen out and lined up all the details. I was very clear that I was paying for it and that they should bill it to one address but it needs to be shipped to another address. The order confirmation comes through a few minutes later and I saw they didn't get the address situation worked out correctly. So, I called back in, had that adjusted, it was confirmed that they’d gotten it right, and it was all done. I called in about two weeks later because I still hadn’t received it. I was told the order had been cancelled the next day for no apparent reason and they had no explanation as to why. The gentleman I was dealing with was unhelpful and all he wanted to do was help me place an order again.
Since it was an anomaly in their system, I asked them to get it there quickly instead of having to wait another two weeks for it. It was a very frustrating situation and I had no reason to believe that there was still an issue. Also, our latest unit only has one remote and I can never find it. So, I end up having to fire up the app on my phone to control the bed. I know that the air pressure is controlled with one module and the tilt is controlled with another module. So, the phone has no problem connecting to the bed to air the mattress up and down, but to tilt it, it has a very hard time and it tries to tilt the bed several times. It’s still relatively new tech but it would be helpful if they could really iron out the connection with the tilting base.
I have recommended Sleep Number before and I got my parents on it. They get small little discounts for throwing my name out. My closest friends where I live ended up buying a top-line also after I suggested it. My friend kinda hates me because he went down there with his wife, and I didn’t head them off at the pass when she went right to the most expensive bed, and that’s pretty much what they ended up with. He told me I just cost him $10,000.

This is our second set of Sleep Number beds which we have purchased. We had the first set for 13 years and we still have them, we just relocated them to my daughters home so that when we go to her home, we sleep on them there.

We previously had a Sleep Number and we liked it. We then bought an adjustable bed from them and it has excellent quality. The sales rep that we dealt with was extremely courteous, and the delivery went very smoothly. The delivery team moved our previous bed and set up the new one. The bed is flat 98% of the time, and we're thinking of years to come when we wanna watch TV in bed.

Buyer beware! Our Sleep Number ("S#") sales person was not forthcoming on the 100 day trial period in its entirety. It was not explained that the 100 day trial only covers the mattress and does not include the adjustable base, which you are stuck with no matter what, even if you return the mattress. Second, you are not told that the adjustable base is from another company, Leggett & Platt ("L&P"). Third, nowhere in the Terms and Conditions of Sale ("TCS") is it stated the adjustable base is from another company, let alone the name of the other company, in this case L&P. Of course, if the salesperson did reveal this, the salesperson/S# would have a lot less sales.
The exclusion of the adjustable base is described in the TCS. HOWEVER, we did not receive the TCS until: (1) AFTER we signed on the electronic line for the purchase on our credit card; (2) AFTER we scheduled our delivery; (3) receipt/TCS printed with the TCS being attached BEHIND the receipt; and (4) receipt/TCS physically NOT given to us until: (a) the salesperson folds and places receipt/TCS in the information booklet; and, (b) the information book with receipt/TCS placed in the attractive, sturdy S# envelope. The placement of the receipt/TCS in the booklet and envelope all happens while the salesperson is telling you how most of your questions can be answered from the booklet, but if you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to call.
In other words, the slight of hand/distraction by the salesperson displaces your attention from the TCS so that you are listening to how helpful the salesperson will be. Since the TCS is fundamentally a contract, the fact that the consumer if not given this before they make the purchase and is not asked to read and acknowledge understanding the TCS (by signing, which we did not do) before the sale is, at best, misleading and, at worst, deceptive.
I can't help but feel that this is part of the salesperson's training to ensure that the TCS is not read until the sale is complete. Undoubtedly, S#'s market research has figured that at this point, most people are euphoric about their new purchase when walking out and don't think about reading the fine print that has been strategically buried in the packet of information.
I called L&P to return the adjustable base. L&P will not talk to you about such a return because they do not sell retail and in turn tell you that you have to talk to S#, who in turn refer you to the TCS, hence making a loop with no possibility of closure. At the end of the day, S#'s sales practices forcibly sell an adjustable base for which the consumer has no recourse if he/she returns the mattress. I will be contacting the Attorney General Consumer Fraud Division to file a formal complaint. If you have found yourself in the same predicament, reading complaints like this after the fact (like I did), I encourage you to do the same.

I've always wanted to get a Sleep Number. I tested them out a few times and I really enjoyed them. I purchased a split top model and their reps were awesome. Every time we’ve had a question, it’s been answered and there has never been any salesman pressure.They gave us the differences between the models which was really nice. Since getting it, I've been loving the bed. I’m a nurse, so I’m on my feet all day and a quality night’s sleep is important to me. People won't regret getting one of these beds.

We had a Queen-Size Sleep Number bed that we bought in 2004 and recently, we went up to a King-Size with the adjustable feet and head. We got the p6, the frame that went around it, the headboard, we got the sheets, pillows, and mattress covers. We like the beds. They’re good and comfortable beds. The reps at Sleep Number were great. The gal who helped us showed us all the different beds and answered all of our questions. We tried everything out and we kinda zeroed in on what we wanted. We had it delivered and set up and installed. The guys that came out to set it up showed me how to put it together, take it apart, and how to work it and program it. They were really awesome. Sleep Number should keep doing what they’re doing. They were very informative and they had a lot of good displays in the store to try out. We’ve told people about them before. They’re expensive but they’re worth it.

I've had a Sleep Number bed for 16 years. When I first got one, it was based on a recommendation by a family member because I was having some lower back pain issues in bed and I couldn't find a comfortable mattress. I stopped to the store and got a Select Comfort 5000. I was pretty happy with it. I've had them for a very, very long time, and I've referred a lot of family and friends over to them.
I went to one of the newer stores recently and it was very clean on the inside. We described what we were looking for and we walked through products that they thought kind of fit the parameters. I tried below and above the recommendations and ultimately went with one of the recommendations of the seller. The delivery team was awesome. They were very conscientious of the house, and of getting rid of the old bed. They were very personable and did a great job explaining all the bells and whistles on the new 360. It was a very good experience overall.

I just woke up refreshed from my second night on our new Sleep Number P6. If you don't believe the difference a mattress can make you haven't tried this bed. It has been a long time since I have had more than 1.5 hours of sleep at a time. I got 6 hrs last night! I was having an issue getting connected with bluetooth, but my salesman Joseph (Muskegon MI store) and case manager David hung in there with me until the issue was resolved. This bed is worth its weight in gold, and the customer service is top notch!

Was a long time Sleep Number customer and went back for our new bed. Did not research online or anything. Just walked in and bought a Split King P5 360 Smart Bed & Split E. King 360 Base because we trusted the company that much. WAS is the keyword here because we assumed that this company was still good, honest and stood by their products, but they absolutely do not!! Having lower back issues I was excited but apprehensive about buying an adjustable base, I'm really short so what if the bends didn't hit me in the right place or what if the adjustments didn't go high enough to give my back relief. However, our concerns were eased away when we were told it was no problem and that it had 100 day trial period so we could return it if things didn't work out.
WHICH IS 100% NOT TRUE. So shame on me for trusting that my salesperson who knew I was apprehensive about the base didn't mention that the $3,000 base is non refundable. So I signed and didn't read the paperwork attached to my receipt because I thought my salesperson was being honest. Again, shame on me. So now, not only does the bed not work for us, but I'm stuck with this base and no mattress.
The kicker is that we were willing to try to make the mattress work if they would waive the non refundable clause because we really wanted the bed to work. Nope. I signed and that's that (and trust me customer service will repeat that you signed over and over again). So now I will NEVER, EVER, EVER buy anything from Sleep Number again. Which means neither will my friends or family (who by the way many bought because I told them how awesome the beds were). You lost my trust Sleep Number and now my business. You need to be upfront about your return policies in store.

I have bought this time one of the new Flex beds, but have been very disappointed in the quality and the comfort. My first bed was wonderfully comfortable, but since my knees have been injured I thought the Flex bed would be perfect. The bed's quality is not at all the quality a $7000.00 bed should be, in my opinion. It separates at the top by 5-6 inches and is always out of tilt. The bed seems lumpy and to keep it from having a pothole in it, you have to inflate the mattress daily to 100 and flatten it out. The customer service has been no help. They want me at 70 to take the bed apart to see if the frame is separated a/or the foam had torn or is lumpy. This is a horrible bed and that's all there is to it. Fix it or replace it. Don't make me jump or crawl around to prove it. Thank you very much.

My husband used to work at Sleep Number and we got a bed from there and we liked it enough to buy more. We scheduled the delivery and they were nice and pretty quick about it. They called me when they were coming and when they actually would be there. I didn't have to wait around all day so that was nice. We had a king size i8 from about eight years ago, and then I have a queen size i8 now and I like it a lot more. And I preferred to have the queen as our bed even though it's smaller. The air chamber is inside of it instead of outside, which is nice. It has the air technology where I can feel it adjusts to my pressure when I'm sitting on the bed. The old one doesn’t have that.

We have not received our bed as of this date (7-26-18). We are excited to sleep on the Split King Bed p60 Smart Bed. It was very comfortable in the store. Our agent, Victor, did a great job helping us choose a bed that met our needs and comfortable level. The store was clean and set up to try as many different beds as needed.

We needed a new bed with adjustable base and have used Sleep Number for over 10 years. The store in Woodbridge, VA was exceptional in appearance and customer service. Jessica went through numerous variations and beds with us to get the best fit for our needs. While the cost of a quality bed and mattress is fairly high, I always think in terms of the idea that 25-35% of life is spent sleeping so you should sleep well.

We bought our first Sleep Number around 1998 and really liked it. Recently, we bought a second one, a queen-sized P6 mattress and their reps were excellent. They took the time to explain all the different models to us and went through the different prices and options. They also explained how to use the controls. Their delivery crew came in, took out the old one and installed the new one. Then they went over the controls with us again. Sleep Number's quality is very good and we get a good night's sleep every night. We really like it.

They were very professional and helped me with any problems that I had. The one corner of the bed was sunk into the floor. He was able to move the bed to resolve that problem and then we had to order a different mattress because the wrong size mattress has been ordered originally. They were able to take care of that as well.

My bed is not firm even though we added the air mattress you sent us about a week ago. My Sleep Number is 85 and my spouse uses 100 which does not leave room for improvement. I am still experiencing a rough time when I try to turn over as the mattress is not firm enough and also waking up with back aches. Why was the mattress in your showroom so much more firmer than what was delivered to our house? I want to know if you are going to correct this. Please advise.

We replaced our old Sleep Number with a newer model. I loved the sales person and he was the same one who we bought our original bed from. He was extremely helpful. It always takes us a long time to make up our minds on what we really want, but he was very patient with us, talked us through everything, and answered all of our questions and concerns. I am very happy with him. Then the in-home delivery was excellent too. I couldn't ask for any better delivery guys. I was impressed with their friendliness and knowledge. They explained everything to us as they hooked the bed up. Told us anytime we had a question, we could call them. The new bed is a queen size and the head and foot part raises. It took us sometime to get used to it, and my husband and I have to compromise to get a place where we were both comfortable. We finally found that place and we're loving it.

I love my Sleep Number bed, that’s why I will repair it or buy another one. I have owned this bed for 19 years and have never had a bad night of sleep. I’ve had guest that have spent the night and they all want to sleep in the only guest room because of my Sleep Number bed.

I had a Sleep Number bed for about 15 years prior to buying a new one. The new one doesn't sink. The guy at the store was great. Everything that he did was helpful to us and he made the whole thing a lot easier and more understandable based on the new features of the bed. I've been a Sleep Number customer for a long time. I enjoyed my Sleep Number bed and I didn't wanna change it. Recently, I bought a newer bed from them. It's a little different to get used to because the design changed. The sides all around the bed are harder versus the older one which didn't have as hard a side on it. Other than that, their delivery team was excellent and I liked the way they explained things step-by-step. They also answered the questions that I had.

We enlarged one room and we’ve had two single beds in it. We enjoyed that, then we went from two singles to one queen size. We had a Sleep Number bed before and it was perfect. So, we decided to get a new one. We love it and we have two different remotes for it. It rises and has got the numbers. I like my head up a little bit and my wife doesn't. But other than that, it’s great.
The lady that sold us the Sleep Number bed was very knowledgeable and really answered us on any questions. Then, when the delivery team came, they did what they were supposed to do. I was hoping they would put the headboard on better than they did, but that wasn’t their responsibility because we didn't buy the headboard from them. We bought a different one. That was my fault, not theirs. But they did a marvelous job and they cleaned up after themselves. The Sleep Number is the first bed I could actually sleep in all night long. I wake up occasionally, but it’s very comfortable and there are no lumps. I like to keep mine at 75 on my side and while my wife likes hers at 55. Her son also bought a Sleep Number and he loves it.

This is Dr. **, a physician in Orlando who attempted to purchase a King i10 360 Smart Bed for $9237.00. I am an existing customer since 2005 having purchased a SLEEP NUMBER Model No. 9000 Eastern King Purchase on April 30, 2005. This is to inform you of the substandard customer service I received and damages to my floor today after 2 failed attempts at delivery of my bed.
I purchased the bed after 2 visits to the Waterford Lakes store on June 23, 2018. My interactions with Katie and Devon were superb. I was excited to upgrade my existing Sleep Number bed. I closed my practice to new patients Friday morning of July 13 to accommodate a weekday delivery of my bed. I would have had to wait 4 weeks to have a Saturday delivery. What was to be an exciting morning turned into a frustrating one. Installation of my bed was unsuccessful because I was not informed beforehand from your company that the frame crossbeams at the base of my king bed frame had to be removed. Understand that my existing Sleep Number bed sits on those cross beams.
The installation guys blamed this on the failure of the sales team to inform me that the base frame crossbeams need to be removed. The blame game I witnessed was so distasteful. I am a CEO of a company. My policy is that our team does NOT tear one another down especially in front of a customer. The store manager, Katie and Devon were so nice to me. I could not believe they would destroy another Sleep Number team member in front of a customer. My son and I attempted removed of cross beams without success. In addition the base of the frame was broken. My existing Sleep Number was transferred to my son’s bedroom. I was advised to keep the delivered bed parts at my house in order to speed up the process.
To my dismay I had to wait another week until today July 20, 2018 for second attempt at delivery. I requested Saturday explaining I am a busy physician who sees patients during the week. I was told that it had to be today July 20th, 2018. So from Friday July 13 to Thursday July 19, I had no bed to sleep on in master bedroom. Plus bed parts were all over my master bedroom and in our garage forcing me to park outside. The cross boards at the base of the bed were successfully removed.
I got to my office early at 6:15 am to get charts done. At 9 am I left my office to meet the delivery team at 9:15 am. I was given the bad news that the base of the new bed would not fit even with the removal. When I question them, they say that the delivery team last week should have know that it would not fit without removing the supporting beam on the sides of my frame. The technician then asked me to use a hammer to hit them off. I refused. It would destroy my frame. Customer service gets on the phone. The technicians ask me for a measuring tape. Here again technicians come without basic tools. They take pictures and send to Sleep Number delivery team. The technician explains that we need extended legs on the base. Yet the delivery team supervisor and case manager tells me they even with extended legs it would not work.
This took almost an hour. Then the delivery supervisor informs me that the drivers can only remove the base. All the other parts of the bed would have to be picked up another time. Unbelievable! I call Katie ** at the Waterford Store. She is so apologetic. She and Devon are the only Sleep Number employees today that said “Dr. **, I am so sorry about all of this”. No one else apologized. Listen to the recordings if you have them. You will be appalled.
Then I am placed on hold again. I am told her the delivery team will take away all the parts of the bed left there since last Friday. I am relieved. I ask Sleep Number delivery to have the gentlemen to reassemble the cross-boards of my bed frame, and move my old sleep number bed back to my room. They did so leaving deep gashes in our wood floor upstairs. They also left the pillow top of the bed with all the foam overlapping creating a steep ridge on the middle of the mattress.
I asked Sleep Number delivery to help us take my son’s mattress back upstairs. It was in the garage ready for the delivery team to haul it away. They refused. I was in tears. Katie ** is on the phone with me during the entire ordeal. She said she is requesting corporate permission to come to my home to help me move my son’s mattress back upstairs. This is now 11 am. I have wasted 2 hours when I could have been at work seeing patients. The end result? My old mattress has a steep ridge in it, my son has not bed to sleep on, AND I have deep gashes in our wood floor upstairs with the transfer of my old Sleep Number bed back to the master bedroom.
Katie and Moe arrive and help us take the mattress and box spring upstairs. Katie and Devon also fixes the foam in the pillow top so it lays flat. They offer to take back the mattress cover, pillows and sheets to the store for full credit. 3.5 hours today and 2.5 hours last week for 2 failed attempts at installation of a Sleep Number bed for an existing customer. The damage to my floor needs to be fixed by Sleep Number. Katie checked my remotes and says I need a new pump so I can see the numbers from 0 - 100. She is checking to see if it is covered by warranty. I do hope so.
The lack of communication between the Sleep Number installation team and me prior to delivery is not acceptable. Failure to let me know beforehand that removal of the cross boards is necessary is not acceptable. Sending technicians out without a basic tape measure or screwdriver and tools is equally unacceptable.
Know that I am a extremely unhappy Sleep Number customer that had lost revenue two Fridays in a row. The first delivery team on July 13 should have had a tape measure to measure the bed frame and know that the new bed needed extended legs or that it could not work period. Now I just wasted another day and sustained damage to my floors. This needs to be repaired by Sleep Number. A replacement pump covered under my warranty is needed promptly.
Worse of all, is to see how the delivery teams blame Katie and Devon for this debacle when they are the ONLY Sleep Number employees who apologized and offered to help. The fact that the delivery team could not help us take my son’s mattress back upstairs illustrates the heartlessness of the Delivery Team of Sleep Number. This report has been filed with the Federal Trade Commission. I await your prompt response to see what is the appropriate next step in this injustice. All I can say is “FOR SHAME” for all those involved today excluding Katie and Moe.

We're a long time customers of Sleep Number. Recently, we remodeled another area of our home and we decided to put a new bed in there. We moved our i10 there and then we purchased a new i8 for our bedroom. Sara was the gal that we worked with in Silverdale. She was very informative and we had a great interaction with her. Then, we had the bed home delivered. The delivery team came in and it was a bing bang boom set-up. Everything went great. So far, we love our i8. We use the intelligent sleep part of it to tell us how we're sleeping. We have a lot of friends who bought Sleep Number beds and we all have sound sleep.

This is the second Sleep Number bed that my wife and I purchased. The store rep was trying to push expensive stuff on us, so we ordered it online. Then, I assembled it myself. The quality of the bed is great and since the first time I ever slept on a Sleep Number almost 20 years ago, I've always liked it. I highly recommend the bed but not their customer service department. It was pretty bad. When I called in, I couldn't get my old account number linked up with a new account number that their rep accidentally created online. And their IT department was truly second rate. They told me things that would be done and would happen, that our order would take 24 hours to process and could take up to two weeks, but none of it ever was accurate or true. It was ridiculous. I also had an issue while trying to get my discount applied.

We bought a Sleep Number bed and the frame necessary to operate it. Within the 100 day free trial period had a health crisis that required a pacemaker. After reading the warnings that came with the pacemaker: that magnets, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth, and motors all need to be kept a certain distance from the pacemaker, we made contact with Sleep Number, the pacemaker company and the doctor but no one could give a definite answer as to whether the bed would interfere with the pacemaker operation. The new Sleep Number bed, that we purchased, has all three.
Being under the 100 day period we opted to return bed rather than take a chance. Then is when we found out that the frame that is needed to operate the bed could not be returned. The sales person never warned us about this and we signed the contract on a computer screen, making it difficult to read through the contract. Had this very important fact been brought to our attention at the time of the sale, at least we would have made a better informed decision. (The contract copy that was put in the information that was given to us, does not have our signatures on it.) We are now stuck with a $3100 bed frame plus out $400 for the mandatory delivery and pick up fee. This was not a risk free trial!!!

We already had a queen size Sleep Number bed for about 10 years or so. A lot has changed in the technology over those 10 years and we also wanted a larger size bed so I'm very happy that we upgraded to the king size Sleep Number bed. We knew that we wanted another Sleep Number because we've been so happy with our old one. Meg, the sales rep, convinced us which one we should get. She was fantastic from beginning to end. She had been great at following up with us. She's a rock star for this whole thing. Even the home delivery was excellent and exactly on time.
This time, we got the 360 smart bed and we got the one where the head and foot part doesn't move up and down. It's better, more comfortable, than the old one all the way around. Everything about it is great. I like the comfort and size of it. Although I had no way of knowing exactly what my sleep quality was before we had the bed, I had wanted to improve it and this has been great being able to track my sleep and to really see better what's going on. The only thing that I'm not wowed about is the inconsistency of it as there were some nights that it didn't track. I've talked to them at the store about it before and it sounded like that they're still working on that part of the technology.
There were times as well that I couldn't change the Sleep Number settings on the app. Most of the time it worked and when we've checked our Wi-Fi and made sure that everything is good on our end, it's okay. I just wish that it was a little more sturdy. I wanted to play around with it and see if I could change our numbers and there's no response. Other than that, everything is good. It's consistently comparable and wonderful. We have a bigger size bed now so we ended up getting bigger sheets, pillows, sheet protector and bed protector. I'm very happy with all of it. Meg helped us tremendously to be able to make it all happen.

My wife and I were having some discomfort in our hips because we’re side sleepers and we thought it would be good to try the Sleep Number bed. We’ve had one years and years ago, but that was very different than what we bought this time. Their sales reps were terrific and very helpful. We scheduled for home delivery and the guys who came out were fantastic. We like the bed a lot. Since using it, there's been a big difference.

Greg, from the very start, was 100% PROfessional! This dude knows the Sleep Number Brand, better than the infomercial! What was so cool about this purchase was the process of experiencing the bed while having a knowledgeable employee to interact with. If we had a question, Greg had an answer. While laying on the bed, I could look up at The visual proof that showed the before and after images of my back. When I first laid down, The Sleep Number was set to 100. At this point, I felt comfortable to be completely honest. Greg lowered the setting and I began to feel like I was closer to being in my hammock back home. After some tryin' time, I ended up with a number 30. Then Greg adjusted the Sleep Number back to 100 and it felt like I was laying on the mofo ground. Anyways, The Sleep Number Bed is a bed worth checking out. Oh yeah, the warranty ain't bad either.

I am unhappy with my Sleep Number Bed. I am in the process of trying to return it. YOU CAN ONLY RETURN THE MATTRESS. THEY WILL NOT TAKE THE $3000 BASE. Please know that before "trying" the bed. I would have never bought it had I known this. They have the legal bases covered. I just don't understand if you have such a great product why the trickery? Put on your website that the base is nonrefundable!

We needed a new bed, so we bought one from Sleep Number because we liked its comfort. Our experience with our sales representative Erin was phenomenal. Then, the two gentlemen who delivered my unit and installed the bed were kind, courteous, professional, and patient with my understanding of how it worked. Since having the bed, we have been sleeping better. After the first night, my husband experienced a stroke, so he associated that with the bed for a while. But, I had a 97 sleep score last week and he had an 87. So we acclimated. We’ve already referred somebody to Sleep Number.

We had a bed with a memory foam but it was so hot. I couldn’t stand it. It just wasn’t comfortable and I have a bad back. So everybody said if I want the best, I'll need to go to Sleep Number and so we did. The staff was great. We were going to get a bed that was more expensive but when we laid on it and tried it, the salesperson said we're not gonna be happy with that one and he was absolutely correct. So we went down a notch, and the bed that we got is just perfect. The salesperson was honest and good. He could also tell by looking at us when we were pleased and when we weren't. It was a good experience.
The delivery was wonderful as well. I went downstairs and my husband stayed up while the gentlemen did it, and he was great. He explained everything. He was in and out. He also came earlier than they said, which was perfect. The quality of the bed is great and since having it, my back doesn't hurt anymore. Also, the temperature is wonderful. We got the cooling pad with it, which helps me feel a little cooler at night. I'd totally recommend Sleep Number. In fact, I sent one of my friends there and they bought one also.

Seriously, we've only had our new bed for 2 days. We are both really surprised at how well we've both slept. Hmmm, I honestly can't find anything to gripe about! Lol. Although it is very early to give a true test, we are very happy with how easy and fun the buying process was. We had a great sales associate, Mark at the Denton Texas store. And the two young men that delivered and educated us were very kind and friendly and it was a pleasure to watch them do the setup. It was as if they do this every day. Lol. They were very professional and fun with the whole set up and instructional process. They honestly made me think that I might want to work for Sleep Number!

I purchased my original bed in 1998 when they were still branded "Select Comfort" and I absolutely loved it. I recently purchased a replacement because I lost the first one in a fire. I cannot believe the advances that have been made by Sleep Number! My new P6 360 best is absolutely amazing! The new bed not only has adjustable firmness but it actually "learns" your sleeping habits when you use the "Sleep IQ" program on your smart phone or tablet. Combined with the new comfort layers on the bed top, this bed truly blows the competition out of the water!
It will even adjust automatically if you roll from you back to your side (or any number positions) to keep your spine aligned properly. It drastically reduces all pressure points. We purchased an i10 360 smart bed in late April and have had constant issues with the bed controls. Customer service has been difficult to work with in resolving these issues. They send technicians to fix the bed and as soon as they leave the problem arises again. Their solution is to unplug the bed and wait 10 secs and plug it back in again while removing and re-inserting the remote batteries. I am beginning to believe that this is a dumb bed! Customer services blames the problem on the base manufacturer who says the error codes are not coming from their base component but coming from the mattress controls.
Last Friday their technicians came again to install replacement parts only to find out that some of the parts sent to us are the wrong ones and when they left the pump was not connected to the mattress. Home delivery was suppose to call us to send technicians back but as of right now, no call. Also, they previously sent the headboard brackets I ordered, but only one bracket was included in the box and I had to wait for another package to be sent. I never received the warranties for the bed and base components and did not know that Sleep Number does not provide or support the base component; Leggett and Platt does.
We will have to eat the cost of the base, $3000 if we return the rest of the bed however, the flex-fit base is usable on any mattress that operates with an adjustable base. We also have a new i8 bed and are so disappointed with the customer service, we are now looking into 2 alternative beds since we are within the return period for each. These Sleep Number beds are not as comfortable as we thought they would be; they are just adequate. I would advise anyone thinking of purchasing a Sleep Number bed to do your research and think twice before buying one.

We purchased the Sleep Number bed and openly explained to the salesperson that we were moving overseas. I voiced concern over needing to make repairs of any sort. We were assured we would be able to get repair parts overseas. After a week of sleeping on the bed we are not satisfied with our purchase. The other part the salesperson left out is we have to sleep on the mattress for 30 days before return. Unfortunately that will not leave us with enough time to test drive another mattress.
We now know after doing some research, that the warranty will not be valid overseas leaving us in a catch 22. Stuck with a mattress for 30 days, leaving us in a rough spot headed overseas and now with the warranty issue. Clarification should be far more available and the service people should be aware of more information and better trained. We have enough stresses with moving overseas as it is and this is really stressful having such a large purchase needing to returned over our heads. We also made the mistake of buying the FlexFit base so we will be biting the bullet on that huge mistake. Writing this review to prevent other active duty folk from potentially making the same mistake.

We got our second Sleep Number bed and we've had it for two months now. We like the new technology. Our older bed had everything on the floor and wires all over while the second one has all the wires on its sides and on the head. It also lets me know how I'm sleeping and gives me suggestions on what to do. We dealt with everybody at the Sleep Number store and they were excellent. Also, the delivery team went above and beyond their job. Our Sleep Number experience has been fantastic.

SleepNumber 3000 - There is no quality control and quality assurance at this company when ordering a head rise. They would not issue a refund on the lift part of the bed ($1800) or make us whole by giving us the plastic foundation that they took away. The head rise addition makes your back break in the morning. The case manager said that's impossible.

Good Evening, Over the past few months I have been educating myself about mattresses in order to make a smart purchase. I have MS so there were multiple reasons I made your Sleep Number my final decision. My Wife and I visited your store on the Boston Post Road in Milford CT on July 7 2018. We were immediately approached by Randy who was to be our sales representative. As a Manager at a BMW center I understand the importance of creating an experience for your clients. Your facility is wonderful and exactly what I would expect to make a client feel comfortable during the process. Randy should be considered an asset to your Company as he exceeded my expectations.
As mentioned earlier I have MS which has me utilizing a wheelchair. This complicated the sale but every question or concern was handled professionally with patience and empathy. In addition there were two other Ladies working that obviously possessed a great attitude for a retail environment. We decided to make the purchase and while it was being finalized I excused myself to use the restroom. Not surprisingly the restroom was clean, well lit and easily handicap accessible. While using the safety handrails to assist me to stand I hit my head on a storage cabinet on the wall. The impact was hard enough to briefly disorient me and draw blood. I rejoined my Wife and Randy at the sales counter to complete the sale. The two Ladies I mentioned earlier were at the sales terminal also.
As we conversed I was informed that one of the Ladies also struck her head on the same cabinet giving her a concussion. She was apparently on workers compensation due to this injury but I didn’t pursue any further details. At this time a third Lady approached and without introducing herself informed Randy that an incident report had to be completed. Without any eye contact, empathy or concern she asked if I required medical attention. I declined and as abruptly as she entered the area she went back to the aft of the store.
When she left it was divulged that she was indeed the Manager of this location. A sincere apology was absolutely in order let alone the courtesy of an introduction and a thank you for my purchase? Please commend Randy and the two Ladies for a job well done, I have contacted my Neurologist and he requested that I go in to his office tomorrow 7/8/2018 so he may look me over. The courtesy of a phone call would be appreciated.

This P6 really isn't working for me. With Sleep Number at 90, my lower back is really sore in the morning. When at the store, my recommended setting was 100, though that seemed a little too firm so lowered to 90. After a week, the lower back pain was getting worse. Talked to a comfort specialist and also went into the store again, this time they recommended a setting of 40. Tried that out and was even more restless in bed and took a longer time to fall asleep than with the higher setting. Now the middle of my back is sore. Don't like the wave or waterbed motion when I move in the bed. It really doesn't feel much different than a $50 dollar air mattress. Have no confidence that I will ever get a good nights sleep in this bed. Will be returning this bed, and going back to an inner coil spring mattress, in which me and my wife sleep much better.

We had a Sleep Number for about 12 years which we really liked. We decided that it was time to upgrade and so we went back in several months ago. The sales team was awesome and they were very helpful. The guy that helped us let us check out several other mattresses and he would adjust the Sleep Number and let us feel that. Also, he didn't put any pressure on us and he answered our questions. The other employees at the store were like that as well and they were very accommodating.
The delivery guys got the bed to the house right exactly when they said it was gonna be. They put the bed together, got the app hooked up to our network and explained it to us how it worked. We didn't have that feature in our old mattress. We also got the mattress pad to the panel controls. I'm sleeping better and every morning, I open the app and I've been getting good scores and good time sleeping. I can't imagine sleeping on a regular mattress now so, everything's great.

My body has changed and I'm a little older now. I needed something a little bit softer on my side and my back. Some of the other mattresses were too hard or just too soft. I've known about Sleep Number before and I could have bought it 10 years ago when I bought a Tempur-Pedic mattress but I didn't want to at the time. They were newer then, but now they have a lot more stores and they've been around for a long time. Plus, I've read the reviews on Consumer Reports. I called Mark, the salesman, beforehand and he told me to see him. Buying didn't take too long because I had already seen what they had. My brother came over a few days later and bought a mattress there too.
When I got the p6 it was new and I was interested in it. There was also the 360, a new series of mattresses that Sleep Number came out with. My brother bought the p4 which was one of the ones that they were discontinuing. I scheduled the delivery at the store and it went a lot faster than I thought it would be. I've had my Sleep Number for a few months and it works well. It just took awhile for me to get the right number to be on. I have it set on 35 and my brother has his setting on 80 or 85. He needs the harder bed. Since I got it, I just sleep and don't get up. And when I get up, I have no pain in my side and my back at all. When I sleep on the right side, I don't have any muscle cramping or pain. Everything's fine and I have the bed just the way I wanted.

We’ve been using Sleep Number bed for 2+ years, and the strong rubber odor that comes with it still hasn’t gone away. On the contrary, the smell seems to be getting even worse, making my wife and myself hard to fall asleep on it. In the beginning we’ve used a waterproof bed sheet to cover the bed so the smell wasn’t as strong, but we could still smell the rubber so we wanted to do something more, and that’s when we put the chamber outdoor for weeks hoping the smell would go away, but none of it did. What’s worse, we don't know if the chemical is toxic. Moreover, the smell seems to stick and it’s all over our bed sheets, comforter, pillows, and clothes now so our whole bedroom is still filled with the rubber/chemical odor even without the bed.
We finally called the customer service today and wanted to know ways to resolve the issue, but to our disappointment, the answer was to try using sheet dryers to absorb the odor. I’m deeply skeptical about that having any effect especially when direct sunlight exposure cannot eliminate the odor. After an extensive conversation with customer service, they agreed to replace the chamber, but at the customer’s expense. Well, Sleep Number Bed, I really do not know how to express how extremely disappointed we are, as we had high hopes for your beds, and they aren’t cheap. We now believe your beds have a design and manufacturing issue—in other words, a design defect. Until we can see that you care about the health of your customers—when we are presented with an adequate solution—we would highly discourage others from purchasing your products for their well-being.

Last Saturday chat room assistant was very helpful, walked me thru process of troubleshooting to try and reinflate bed. In end after several attempts to fix problem it was determined a replacement pump was required. Agent asked for address and confirmed delivery would be received by Tuesday 3rd July. Chat call ended. Third of July came and went, no delivery. 4th of July being a holiday so thought perhaps shipping delayed for this reason. Called SleepNumber at 888 number today 5th of July and Agent Cathy was very apologetic but pump had never shipped.
Another surprise, we had to pay a % for pump under warranty program. We've had bed 4 years. If chat Agent had explained all this at time of online chat we would have paid and received pump by now. Cathy had to submit payment and consult with Supervisor Danielle who authorized priority handling and express shipping to get pump to us as quickly as possible. Cathy did note that chat room line had dropped before chat Agent could apparently complete the chat room call and advise about payment so item never shipped!!
I would have thought at this point an email or phone call would have been appropriate to resolve completion so pump could be received... and not left until we called back to inquire why pump was not received. As a side note, my husband is just out of hospital after 11 days and it would have been nice to get him back into our Kingsize Sleep Number bed rather than the guest room. Overall very disappointed with chat room Agent not following up on the apparent dropped chat call.

I'm going to take full credit for this one. I should have done some more research first. We ended up getting roped in by a salesman at a store because my wife and I were extremely uncomfortable on our old mattress. We were told that we got a "great deal" on one of their "sales" but ended up paying just under $5,000 for a queen mattress and adjustable base. We've had it for a little over a year now and still have about $3000 left to pay off. And we are just as uncomfortable as we were with our standard spring mattress. Just a lot more broke! The delivery process was terrible. Late and very rushed. The worst part is - NO REFUNDS! We were ready to give it back about after a week, but we didn't take time to read the fine print. My wife and I have been wanting a new mattress for a while. Our old mattress was 15 years old and so it was time for a new one. And in thinking about what we would want, we wanted to make sure that it was adjustable, that it set our needs and everything. And that also we could have her side and my side to be different because we don’t have the same preferences. So really, Sleep Number seemed like the only solution. And with the 25-year guarantee, it’s like this is the last bed we’re gonna have to buy.
The sales rep was very pleasant. She was not pushy at all. She just welcomed us to the store and asked us what we had in mind. And we just started telling her what our issues with sleeping we were in, what kind of things we were interested in, and explaining that we wanted the different controls for each of us. And so she directed us to several different options and we narrowed in what we wanted and got the exact one that we wanted.
The delivery team was great, too. They showed up, there were some issues with our bed frames, so they had to make some adjustments to it. But I was very pleased, they did it all themselves, I didn’t need to get involved at all. And when they left it was all perfect. And we turned out to be all Raiders fans and then we had a fun time chatting with them. Now that we have the bed, it's a great experience. We’ve just been sleeping like babies. We actually bought recliners about a month before we bought the bed but we find ourselves watching TV in the bed because it’s just so comfortable. I’ve recommended Sleep Number.

We had the Sleep Number bed that first came out seven years ago and then we got the upgraded model so that I could sleep better. Our sales rep was great and so were the delivery boys. The delivery boys said they have a better technology on the foam. They told me to get the foam replaced on the other bed which we've taken to our place in the mountains and that it should be under warranty. I called customer service on that and I was disappointed because they told me what it would cost. The rep said it was under warranty but that it was prorated and the cost was a lot to put out just for the piece of foam to replace. Also, I’m still getting used to the new bed. It tells you how you sleep and I'm still trying to figure it all out. Sleeping at 60 a night versus sleeping at a 90, it’s like, “What’s the difference?” It’s a little frustrating. I paid a huge amount for this fancy schmancy bed and I don’t feel like I’m sleeping better yet. But they’re awfully nice.

Worst bed ever, glorified blow up mattress. Back has hurt since first day we got it. Do not think it is right that you have to pay for delivery and pickup if not satisfied. Now out almost 500.00 just for trying the bed. Very dissatisfied. Felt great in store, not good at home actually sleeping in it.

In 2007 I bought a two-chamber queen size bed. Switched it to a single chamber in 2011 and they want a pro-rated from 2007. I will no longer recommend this bed to any one and I will send a message across my email and Facebook.
Updated on 07/06/2018: The customer service for this company is absolutely terrible. Bought two chamber bed in 2007, switched it to a single chamber in 2011, and now it needs a new pump. They prorate it from the original purchase, (2 chamber) from a bed I no longer own. They want to sell me a 2 chamber pump for a one chamber bed and I have to rig it so only one hose works, for 240.00, or pay 380.00 for the correct pump... WOW.

We were recently disappointed with our experience and lack of resolution from a recent delivery of a queen size mattress and adjustable base. We had two issues: 1) Upon delivery the base and bed would not fit up our stairs. We later learned from those delivering that this is happening very often on the queens beds as a result of a new design in the bases that make them bulkier. We were not warned of this in advance. They offered to take it apart to fit it in but would have to null the warranty. Upon calling customer service we were simply offered to instead buy a king size bed.
2) Upon the departure of the delivery crew we found a very long scratch across our hardwood floor where the crew dragged the old bed. We called customer service and were told then we would receive a call back within 24-48 hours to begin resolution. It has now been a week. For the money we were willing to spend on a great product we are left worse off than before without the service we’d expect.

As with anything parts do wear out. After 10 years of service our adjustable frame became defective. We were worried that a replacement would not be available so we were pleasantly surprised that indeed Sleep Number did have a replacement. Not only that we were treated like family. Part received, installed, had a problem, tech center walked us through a simple step and... WaLa. Best service and product. Buy it, you will not regret it.

I was hoping for the positive experience the salesman had indicated. But when the bed was delivered, it has a huge gash in the foundation from a fork truck. It was clearly damaged even before the box was opened, yet it got pushed through the supply chain and was delivered damaged. Then I had to wait 2 weeks to get another one. In the meantime, my wife and I had to sleep in the guest room since we had gotten rid of our old bed. I told them the 2nd delivery had to be late afternoon, and was told no problem. Today I was told delivery was at 10 a.m. -- I am not going to be in town and told them that at the outset. Now to get the 3rd delivery I have to wait another 2 weeks. This is absurd. I am regretting the purchase and I don't even have the bed yet.

I am new to Sleep Number and purchased Smart Bed 360, i10 bed. Spent 11K and my experience of customer service and home delivery is been worst, I have never experienced this bad customer service, it’s been a month and have received all the parts to my bed so far. Home delivery people don’t care about your schedule, they will call you to schedule something but will never give you the date you wanted and I have tried 3 different times and 3 different reps, they are very rude and don’t care about customer’s convenience. I would never recommend anyone to go buy Sleep Number because of worst customer service ever!!!

Horrible is because it's the only way to describe our experience at this time. First off the delivery and setup was great. The installer called about an hour before he would be here to install. They got the bed all set up and gave a very brief overview on how it all worked. My wife and I were stoked about the dual temp feature as our current bed was very hot. Anyway the installers left and that night we set our beds to what the store had told us our setting would be. I understand it might fluctuate a little either way as every bed might be different. My wife pretty much finishes each sleep on the couch. Her side does not stay like it should and ends up being like a rock. My side ends up on 5 for some reason. After day 4 we started seeing errors on dual temp and Sleep IQ.
We have had this bed almost 3 weeks and my wife has made it the whole night like 4 times. I toss and turn all night. We called and told support the issue we were having. They send a foam piece to put in the bed to make it firmer. No idea why when it's the bed that is failing. Anyway when the new installers came out to put the foam in I told them about the weird things going on. Like setting mine at 35 and my wife's at 30. Hers feels like it has 100 and mine was at like 0. After the next morning I look to see what they are at and hers says 30 but is like a rock and mine says 5. Now I know I did not move mine. And since my side has no air and hers is like full, she keeps sliding down on my side and then neither of us can sleep. Therefore she goes to the living room to sleep.
Told the installers about SleepIQ and we tried to go through the setup process again. This time the bed can't find my network. It can't even seem to find any of the 11 networks that are available when I search from my phone. They called tech support to see what to do. Support told me my network router was too far all of a sudden. Worked for 4 days but now my router is too far? To me it was a BS answer. During setup the bed could not see ANY of the connections available and there are 11 active networks right there. Support told me to get a repeater so it would work. I had spare router setting around so I plugged it in less than 2' away from the bed and it still could not see the wireless network (but it's my network). Now I still have to keep this bed for 30 days before I can return this. Very Very upset as it will be 30 days that we will not get good sleep.

We are return customers and love our Sleep Number bed that we purchased 12 years ago so we just recently purchased them for our kids. I tried ordering online but ended up going into a store because I had questions about the product and promotions that I wanted to talk to someone about. The store staff was friendly and knowledgeable but did have some trouble with a recently rolled out ordering system, which made the transaction time longer than it normally would be. And the delivery scheduling could be improved by having morning or afternoon time slots selections. They could only select an entire day which is hard for a work day delivery so we ended up going out 3 weeks to get a Saturday. Overall, good experience with just a few kinks that could’ve made it smoother.

I bought a Sleep Number bed because I am having spinal surgery in a few days. I get it May 4th they could not deliver until today the 22nd. Then when they get here the installers were the most unprofessional rudest people I have ever dealt with even when after almost an hour on hold finally got the speak to a so call customer service representative how also was extremely unprofessional. The installers left saying they refuse to install my bed because my carpet had stains on it so I told them it was still a little damp because I shampooed it that morning. I could put blankets down on the floor for them but they said no and called someone at their tech dept and told them my house smelled and I had too many pets and that made it a health problem.
So they after sitting outside from 12:15 until about 3 pm they just left. I called them back and told them I wanted my bed so they finally came back and dropped my bed off. I told them I wanted a number of their supervisor or someone I could talk to to get some competent installers out here because I need my bed. I already get rid of my old one. They gave me the wrong number. They gave me their tech support not counter service so they connected me to them and I told the person I need my bed installed now and she told me I would have to wait until the 5th of July. I told her that's unacceptable. My surgery in the 28th of June then she came up with the 28th of June. I told her I want to be compensated for my inconvenience and she said, "No we won't do that. Our installers can refuse to install anyone's bed."
In the meantime I have to sleep on my floor from today the 22nd until I go into the hospital on the 26th. I told her, "If there is more damage done to my back and neck because of this there will be a lawsuit." I paid almost $4000 for a bed to help me recuperate from my surgery. If I did not need it for that I would be demanding my money back at this point. I do plan also on making a formal complaint with Consumer Affairs in Arizona and the Better Business Bureau.
I work in customer service and I am sorry this company does not know the meaning of customer service at all! I work at a Walmart and I deal with thousands of people every day. I have been so upset about my dealings with trying to get my bed installed that I have told my fellow employees and my customers to stay away from Sleep Number company. They take thousands of dollars and give NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL!!! I am also going to contact Sleep Number's corporate office about this and possibly the media like 3 On Your Side about how Sleep Number does business.

Would definitely recommend Sleep Number as I said this is our 4th one speaks for itself! And they are made so much better than our original one bought 1998. I have sleep apnea and wear CPAP so being able to elevate head and feet awesome! Also have arthritis in feet so being able to warm them will be wonderful, esp when cold.

Our salesperson was terrific. Here is our problem: 6 boxes arrived on 6/15. We called the store where we purchased it. They took our name and said they would call UPS tomorrow. We used the online customer service. We are missing the Deck panels. Lexi at the call center gave us the following tracking number with this explanation: "** that's the tracking info however it hasn't left the warehouse yet, should within the next day or 2." On 6/15 we received no notification that a part was back ordered or delayed. We waited a week to assemble due to work schedules. She then told us we need to take this up with UPS. I replied that she just told us the item was in the Warehouse. She told us to call customer service tomorrow. We saved for 11 months for this bed. We paid CASH and are not off to a very good start at all. Tonight We broke down our old bed frame/bed and are sitting with a partially assembled bed that we cannot sleep on.

I have enjoyed my Sleep Number bed for 21 years. Customer service has always been excellent in resolving issues. I have replaced a few components over the years under warranty, but at a prorated cost based on the age of my bed. I also recently added a Sleep Number topper, which made my bed even more comfortable than I thought possible. With the replacements and improvements I’ve made to my bed, it is like brand new at a fraction of the cost of buying a new bed after all these years. This bed has been a great investment. I bought another used Sleep Number bed that was seldom used in the previous Owners guest room. I too use it in my guest room. My guests always rave about the comfort of that bed! I am a loyal and highly satisfied Sleep Number owner.

Don't buy a Sleep Number bed and expect it to ship on time even when you pay expensive freight charges. We ordered our bed on 5/31/18 and it should have shipped on 6/14/18. Today is 6/19/18 and our bed has still not shipped. The only communication we have had from Sleep Number is when we reached out to them to find out when our bed was shipping. They have never contacted us other than to send an order confirmation. Customer Service can still not tell us when our bed will ship. We have contacted them four times and still have no idea when we can expect to receive our bed.

We already had a Sleep Number bed and knew how much we loved it, so we went and bought another one. I also have a Sleep Number pillow that I use and I love it as well. The second mattress that we bought was for our trailer, which had a mattress that was less than adequate. The rep worked closely with us about asking dimensions, and he was great. Sleep Number offers great products, and for people who are looking at new ones, they need to really look, compare and sleep on a Sleep Number. The other mattress companies tell you that you gotta buy a new one in 10 years, while Sleep Number has a 25-year warranty.

I bought this bed (Sleep IQ Split King) for $7500 three years ago. While it is somewhat satisfactory the network connection stopped working. First they sent the wrong part. Then they told me that they can't send the part and I would have to buy a new pump. Warranty is only 75% so cost is $200 to me. The part that needs replacing probably cost about $10 and can be replaced with a simple plug in. I have read other reviews that this is common practice with the company. I would recommend that no one do business with them.
Updated 06/20/2018: I purchased a $7500 bed from this company 3 years ago. I thought it was a reputable company. However I had a Processor Card (about a $10 part) go bad in the Pump. The company said I had to buy a new pump at a cost of $200 after my share of the warranty is covered. I had read several reviews that said the company does this frequently as a source of income. They did offer to reduce the cost to $88 after several communications in reply to my complaint. I told them it was ridiculous as I didn't need a pump.
I offered to pay for a new card but they said they wouldn't send just the part and I had to buy the new pump. Since the card just plugs in and I could easily do that myself I told them I wouldn't do that. They said, "Sorry then we can't help you." I would recommend anyone considering buying a product from them should look to their competitors as apparently the reviews I read are accurate and they look to make additional money from their customers in this fashion. It's unfortunate they need to do this.

We bought two sets of sheets to go with our split head of the bed on our king sized mattress. These sheets went for $300 each which I thought was outrageous! We took the sheets back to get them exchanged. We were told those sheets were on sale and we would have to pay more to get them replaced. I felt this was outrageous especially since they cost so much. This is the bait and switch and "ya got to pay more" to get warranted Sleep Number merchandise components replaced. I felt this was outrageous customer service to get defective merchandise replaced. Sleep Number pricing is extremely predatory. I hope I never have to replace any more of Sleep Number because they really stick it to you. Their customer service ends with the sale and they ought to have their own problems sleeping at night.

We had two other beds before and this is our third Sleep Number bed that we purchased. The original one was a queen bed and then we got a king bed. And then we moved to a new house and we got another king bed. We also got additional pillows and sheets. One of the reasons we changed from our old Sleep Number to this one was every week, if I put the number on 50, it would go down to 35. So far, the new one seems to be holding just fine. When you look at the buttons, it just says Larry 50 or whatever I’m setting it at.
The sales reps were very good and they certainly knew their product at the store. Moreover, the delivery was on-time. Two men came, removed the old bed, installed the new bed and they were quick. We had one or two questions and they answered it so our experience was fine. I would certainly recommend Sleep Number again. I’m a repeat customer and I wouldn’t have gotten the third bed if I wasn’t happy with the product.

We had a Sleep Number bed for 25 years and decided to get a new one. We purchased a P5 and we got the mattress and base. I’ve also gotten pillows. Their sales reps were great. They were very helpful in showing us the different styles of beds, top beds, and options that we had. The delivery team was great. They moved the other Sleep Number bed upstairs for me. They got in and put the new bed together. They knew what they were doing and even set up a bed frame for me upstairs. They were very resourceful and very nice, and great, courteous people to have at your house. I didn’t think I could sleep better on a different Sleep Number bed but I can’t believe how much better I’m sleeping on this new one. I would tell others to get a Sleep Number.

We already have a Sleep Number bed and we purchased the most recent one for our daughter's house. When we go down and stay with them, we'll have our Sleep Number bed with us. The one we have here at home is the adjustable base and the split king and the one that we recently purchased was just the plain king and a lot of things have changed within the 10 years. So, the sales rep explained everything to us and how everything worked. Then, the guys who came and set it up were wonderful. They got at my daughter's house at the time they said they were going to be there and everything was perfect.
We got a modular base and a mattress and it feels a little bit firmer than the one we have here at home. But we went ahead and placed a memory gel on top of that and it's very comfortable. We also have the pillows and the sheets although I wish the price of the sheets were a little lower. Other than that, we've been very satisfied with Sleep Number. I have arthritis which was our original reason for getting it and it has helped out a lot. We have recommended them and my sister and my son bought a bed.

We did not like the bed, the mattresses move around constantly, the firmness setting changes anytime your partner rolls onto your side, the sides cave in while sitting on the edge of the mattress. It was easy to sink toward the middle between the 2 mattresses (air bags). Worst part it cost us over $400 to find out!

The delivery men were very courteous - even took their shoes off inside the door so as not track dirt through the house. They put the bed together and cleaned up the trash from the boxes. The bed itself is wonderful and I look forward to many restful nights of sleep.

Initially, we needed a new mattress and we tried out Sleep Number. We liked them so we bought one and have had it for years. Then we needed another bed and decided to get another Sleep Number because we liked the one we had. We got along with their sales professionals well and they were nice people. We knew exactly what we wanted, so they didn’t have to do much selling. The two guys that came and delivered the bed were good, professional and courteous. I appreciated that they put booties over their wet shoes because it was muddy that day.

I purchased our 1 year old bed from a friend of the family. When I called for assistance in setting up the SleepIQ system, the rep told me that they do not assist or talk with anyone who has purchased the system used. I was not calling for warranty support, but just general information. He stated it was company policy and could not help me in any way. Buyer beware - If you buy the bed, just know that your chances of selling it, the components or bases someday are slim, given they refuse to assist the buyers in any way. In my opinion, this limits the value of the bed considerably.

We needed a new foam mattress. I went to the Sleep Number. They do not sell them there. The salesmen gave me the number to call for replacement parts. I called the number and ordered my new pad. The persons that help were great. They took great care of me. They were kind and professional. I would have like to received the information the the product and cost before the order was taken so I would understand my purchase. We like the new pad and how much difference it made. I've had Sleep Number since 2006 and I moved into a smaller space so I needed a smaller bed. I purchased a Sleep Number mattress, the base and got sheets to fit the bed. Everything went well. Their reps were good and very knowledgeable about their products. We had one glitch where they had the wrong address, but we worked that out. Also, the delivery team did an excellent job. I would recommend Sleep Number. I gave my old bed to my daughter and tried to talk my son into buying a Sleep Number bed.

Stayed home Memorial Day to try it, great first date. After that I have not experienced a good night with the assembly, I have adjusted the Sleep Number for both I and my wife, she has told me I snore louder when adjusted to snore. Lights under the bed stay on for 15 min. The pad is uncomfortable, the response is sad to say unresponsive, $8,000 dollars for what.

We're a two bed family. We're on our third Select Comfort. They're so comfortable. If you hurt your back, you can soften it or make it harder. And being older, it's easy to lift the mattress ends and tuck the sheets. It's worth every penny.

We wanted to love the Sleep Number i8 Bed. When we laid on it in the store, we thought it was heaven and we were really excited about being able to individually adjust our sides. However, when we got it home we realized it's nothing more than an expensive air mattress. When you move, your partner also moves. When weight is shifted anywhere on the bed, it affects the other person. It was not comfortable to lay in the middle of the bed to snuggle with your partner. Overall, the mattress was not as comfortable or luxurious as it felt in the store.
In addition, the sleep tracker app is not very accurate. While it would detect if you got out of bed, it was often confused on the exact time or would say I was in bed, when my husband was in bed and I had gotten out of bed 2 hours earlier. It was also not accurate to detect overall restless sleep vs. restful sleep. In their defense, I don't really think any sleep tracking devices are that accurate.
When we called to initiate the return of the mattress, the representative on the phone asked if we would be interested in having someone come out to add something to the mattress that would help with the motion transfer. If they have something that would help, why isn't this part of the bed already? Why are they waiting until you return it to install something to help with this? You're paying a lot of money, they should provide these things when you purchase the mattress.
I will say though that the return process was easy, painless and quick. Within a few days of calling we scheduled a pick-up and within a few days from that we received our refund. A week or two later I looked on the website and that model isn't even offered anymore. It seems like they are phasing out the Sleep Number Beds and focusing on the Smart 360 Beds. I'm assuming they received a lot of complaints or returns and decided to change directions. Regardless, it wasn't what we hoped for so we are glad we returned the bed.

We’ve owned our Sleep Number bed for 20 years and it has gone moldy. So we went to the Sleep Number store in Lakewood to look and we were totally thrilled while the store manager answered our questions. He did a great job. We bought two beds within three months of each other; one's a California king that had the adjustable legs and raises and then, for my son, a queen that had just the adjustable head. Both beds came great and we had the same crew deliver them each time. And they did a good job. One bed was 10 grand and the other one was five. It's a little expensive, but I like the fact that we can adjust the pressure and the firmness of our bed. We got an electric mattress bed on the one and then a couple of regular mattress beds, a mattress pad and then a pillow too.
The hard part is they don't sell enough of these beds to hotels. So, when we go to hotels, we don’t sleep very good. I have actually paid more money to stay in a hotel that advertises they had Select Comfort where I can set it to my comfort level. Also, I’ve told people that Sleep Number's the best way to go. The company needs to get their prices down a little bit though so more people can afford them.

I now own 3 of these beds. 2 twins, and 1 California King! Not only have I now had the king for 18 years, but Sleep Number has replaced anything that has gone wrong and still takes my calls whenever I have questions or issues. Plus sleeping on these beds are amazing! My guest love them!

I like the Sleep Number Ltd Edition we bought several years ago. But it took a little getting used to. One thing I noticed immediately was the Sleep number each of us was given in the store wasn't what we actually felt was most comfortable at home in this particular bed. The real number for us is much higher. And the bed needs more cushioning/padding. I'm not happy with that part.

I purchased a pillow and received the shipping confirmation on May 24, and the pillow arrived shortly after that. The pillow arrived while we were on vacation, and I had already determined I no longer needed it, as I had been given another product that met my needs. The pillow remained in its original packaging, completely untouched and unopened, exactly how I received it.
On June 6 I called customer service to authorize a return for this item, however, I was informed that since the product was "in the home" it could not be returned, only exchanged, AND that I would only have one chance for an exchange. I bought this pillow from Sleep Number online, specifically because of the return and exchange policy they offer, with advertising about trial periods and that you are guaranteed to like your product or you can return/exchange it if you don't. I haven't even opened the box! So essentially, I paid over $115 for a pillow that I don't want and cannot return, even though it has not been touched or used in any way. This is an inflexible, stagnant policy, that I am surprised a company can maintain in this day and age of social media and online reviews.
Surely, someone could have made an exception for this particular and unique case (they wouldn't - I even spoke to a manager). Sleep Number would rather completely alienate a customer than make an easy policy exception over a hundred dollar product. Not a great customer retention policy. I will certainly be informing all of my friends and family to beware of this company, and will obviously not be shopping here again myself.

We purchased an i7 about a month ago. There was a problem with the first delivery, they came without our mattress. I talked to customer service, the person was very rude. The new mattress arrived a week later and the men set the hoses up wrong. The mattress has under four inches of comfort layer as opposed to the five inches listed on the website. The gray cover is too tight, squishing the gel foam edges and making them curved which makes it easy to fall out of bed.
We went in to see our sales person and told him we wanted to return the mattress. He said he would email customer service but we've had no response. We stopped to see him again and he said he'd send another email. We're still waiting to find out when someone will pick up this horrible mattress and our account credited. So disappointed! Tomorrow wouldn't be soon enough. We expected so much better. I wish I could rate this in the negative. Our experience has been that bad. (Except for the pillow, the pillow is really nice.)

We paid a lot for this Sleep Number and have had it all of 10 to 15 years. But now it's falling apart and still sleeps very well but the base that comes with it is made out of plastic and is broken on my wife's side and the air leaks out of it. I am thinking about building a new base to see if I can find the air leak and fix and make it last at least another 5 years. Also have the cashmere top so if you want a cooler night sleep you don't want that but I have gotten used to that. Overall I can't complain over this bed. For the best models you will pay but by far the best bed I have ever had and could never go back to a spring mattress. Thank you Sleep Number.

We’ve had Sleep Number mattresses for years. They're expensive but we have chosen to have all our beds Sleep Number mainly because we don’t have to replace them after the springs break or the mattress gets uncomfortable after a couple of years. We bought three mattresses and the latest one is a guest bed. We tried to buy the latest one in the store and their computers were down but they made it work eventually. I worked with the people in the store and the manager was great.

I had sleep issues, so I got a Sleep Number bed. Bill, the salesman, was very knowledgeable. The delivery people were very nice. They assembled the bed and they did a very good job. I've had my Sleep Number bed for six months and I'm pleased with it. Since I got it, my sleep has improved.

We bought a Sleep Number mattress, and it took some getting used to but have grown to love it. Ours is a dual adjustable bed. The newer versions of our bed are better than the old versions. If I had to buy one today I would pick the one with temperature control.

This bed is simply the biggest pile of garbage I've ever bought. After comparing I'm told I can spend another $1000 to try another product from Sleep Number. After our $8000 plus original purchase for a horrible bed why would we give you more money? Horrible product, horrible service, horrible experience. Do yourself a favor and don't even consider buying a Coleman air mattress on steroids from this company.

I was doing some research between Tempur-Pedic and Sleep Number. The sales reps at Sleep Number were very helpful. They explained the bed pretty well and they were very patient. They did a fantastic job presenting the product. My wife liked the bed a little softer while I like it a little harder. Her number is 40-45 while mine is 60-70. Tempur-Pedic was too soft for me. We tried Sleep Number and we liked it so we went with them and bought the mattress and a set of bed sheets. The delivery process was quick. They got a technician who might need to be trained on the app side as he was not very familiar with it. But he made several calls and talked to the customer service team on the phone and he resolved that issue. Overall, that was good. We have been using the bed every day since we bought it. It's a great product.
Sleep Number should spend a little more on exposure to social media or TV commercials. There had been a lot of commercials on the radio but I don’t see too much commercial on TV or YouTube. A lot of people buy a brand new mattress and six months later, it would be too soft and there would be a pain in the back. With Sleep Number, those issues could be permanently solved since the bed's firmness could be adjusted, if they want it softer or harder, based on the user's needs. Also Sleep Number could customize the bed for a couple. A Sleep Number bed is an ingenious product. I already referred it to one of my friends and he bought a mattress two months ago after my recommendation.

We have 2 Sleep Number beds. We are building a new home and went to purchase a 3rd bed. The new so-called smart beds are too firm, even when the sleep number is set to the lowest setting. The foam is not soft and is too dense, you barely feel any adjustment at all. Also none of the new 'P' series mattresses are compatible with the vibrating platform. The vibration platform is being discontinued. The vibrating platform is only compatible with the 'C4' mattress which is also being discontinued. I do not need a mattress that thinks it knows what I need to sleep and adjusts all night, but I do need the vibration feature.
Our first bed was their least expensive model and we have owned it a decade and a half. The newer one we have was their top mattress at the time, but to buy a new one with a vibration feature we would have to buy an inferior mattress to the current one we are using. Be advised that they are not silent, only their sheets & mattress covers work well on the beds and they are expensive. The beds are very expensive as well and in my opinion they are no longer worth the price. Up until they eliminated the sensible, comfortable, soft pillow top mattresses, I thought they were the best on the market. I no longer believe that.

I've had a Sleep Number bed for about 15 years and it was time for me to replace it. I went in the store to look at the new ones and I ended up calling the 800 number to order because the rep in the store was pushing me to buy a really expensive one. I decided that I didn’t want an adjustable bed but if I needed to, I could upgrade to an adjustable with the mattress that I was buying. I got a better deal calling the 800 number because the rep that I spoke with knew more. She was really nice and wonderful. I scheduled my order for delivery and the delivery team was great. They came in and took the old bed out of my house. The overall quality of the bed is real good, too.

I like my side firmer than my husband so it is great to have that choice. Don't think I can rotate the mattress which might be a negative. So far I am happy with it.

Remote Control and new replacement pump were not working. Adam in the Coralville, Iowa store did an excellent job of working with me. He made phone calls, checked into my concerns, and was able to fix the problem. He was pleasant, knowledgeable, and has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend the Sleep Number bed and especially Adam.

Found the cost of replacement parts far outweigh any usefulness of the warranty. I find it disingenuous to price your replacement parts so high. In addition, your "chat consultant" proved to be too busy to effectively help identify the proper part to be requested, and seemed to want to move on before allowing me to identify what part it was through my own research.

We appreciate you taking time to share your feedback on our 25 Year Limited Warranty, Jeremy. While defects in our beds are rare, the ones that do occur are most often found and reported in the first two years of use, which is why we fully cover any replacements due to defects during that period. After those first two years begins the prorated portion of our warranty, where we're still covering a portion of the cost of your replacement, but no longer the full 100%. For close to 20 years, we’ve always enjoyed Sleep Number products and a little less than a year ago, we wanted to purchase a Sleep Number product that had an adjustable base. We enjoy the bed and we like it very much. How everything works was relatively easy to figure out as well. But I used to deal with one salesperson who ultimately left the company then another salesperson who was transferred out. There's too much turnover amongst the sales staff and since the time that we bought this bed, the salesperson has left as well. And although there’s an 800 Sleep number directly to them, they're a not customer service-oriented company. Everything is just in black and white to them and they don't know enough about the product to be helpful. Nonetheless, the delivery went really well. The delivery man and the installers were very experienced. They were in and out, very quickly and professionally.

We have a Sleep Number 5000 that is almost 10 years old and this is the first time we have had to replace a part. It has been moved twice and stored in a warehouse during those 10 years, and it sleeps just fine these days. A Sleep Number is worth the money.

We’ve had Sleep Number for about 10 years then we bought another one. We purchased the sheets, base, and the split king mattress which can both raise the feet and head part. The sales reps were knowledgeable and helpful. Then the home delivery team knew what they were doing and they got it done. We're satisfied with the quality and we love the bed.

I tested a bunch of different mattresses at a bunch of different stores but the customer service when I walked into Sleep Number were absolutely incredible. The guy who helped me out was nice, super knowledgeable and really answered all my stupid questions. I’m a younger guy and I get treated really poorly when I go into places that have expensive products and that wasn’t the case at Sleep Number. I purchased the C4 and dual chamber and I absolutely love its quality. Sleep Number is the best bed that money can buy.

We bought this bed in Sep 2017, and it broke on May 28th 2018. The valve that connects the air chamber to the pump just completely pulled out of the bed, making one side of the bed useless since it will not hold air. These things have a 20 year warranty right? So I chatted in with Katie (who was great), and I was informed that the air chamber is completely covered by the warranty. BUT... I will have to pay $99 plus tax to have someone come install the air chamber. I asked if I could go by my local Sleep Number store to pick up the replacement part. NO. They do not stock parts. I asked if I could do it myself... NO. It would void the warranty. I said OK, let's replace it.
In the meantime, so I could actually sleep on the bed, I asked if I could apply some super glue or duct tape to the valve and try to put it back in the air chamber while I waited for the new air chamber to be installed... NO, it will void the warranty. So now, not only do I get to spend over $100 on a less than 1 year old bed. I also get to sleep on the couch for 2 weeks while I wait for someone to come install a air chamber that I could do myself with no issues. They will be installing the thing on June 11th. Unfortunately I am past the 100 day mark, or I would be getting my money back for this bed.

I LOVE my Sleep Number adjustable base bed. But, have had to replace the adjustable base motors for the second time in four years of owning the bed. The Sleep Number people I've dealt with have been great, but I am worried about the long-term of owning this bed and keeping the adjustable base working. I paid an extra $1,000.00 for this adjustable base and using it is extremely worth it, but what is going to happen when the bed is no longer under warranty, and I have to keep replacing the motors? This is going to cost me money constantly! I am very worried.

My niece had a job at Sleep Number and talked to me about the bed. Since then, I’ve been buying from them for around four years now and I’ve bought at least five beds. Andy, their Sunvalley Mall rep, was terrific and I liked his detailedness. He knew about the bed and he was non-pressure in selling. I keep track of him and I would oftentimes call and see if there are any specials. Recently, I bought a Sleep Number bed for my mother-in-law. I got her the one that elevates in the feet and the head. It's a tad pricey but that's outweighed by its comfort level. We had it scheduled for delivery and our experience was very positive. When I had our first bed installed, I saw how they did it then after that, they would deliver the bed and I would go ahead and perform the installation. This time, the gentleman just came in and dropped it off. I love Sleep Number’s superior quality and I recommend it to friends.

I have had my mattress for 19 years. It has been a good mattress overall. My only complaint is it loses air on one side, which while troubleshooting with Sleep Number I was not able to resolve with numerous attempts.

We decided to get a bed where we could lift the head and the feet so we got a Sleep Number. But it's really expensive. It's like an investment. They delivered the bed and the team was great. We bought sheets and comforter, too, but I'm disappointed in the comforter because it leaves fuzz everywhere in the bed sheets. I called Sleep Number and they said they couldn't do anything about it. Also, we had issues with the remote not working all the time but we put new batteries in it so it's working okay now. And the bed is fine and we like it. It’s just difficult to make the individual twin bed, to get the sheets to get underneath. I have to lift the head or the feet or both to get the sheets on to stay on but I’m living with it.

I purchased this i8 360 SMART BED from an old friend who manages a store on the other side of the country. After trying it for 30 days I was completely dissatisfied with the bed, never has my back hurt more. I contacted the store to request information regarding the return of this bed, at that time I was instructed that since this bed was purchased under the friends and family discount all sales are final. This was a surprise to me since this information had never been conveyed to me. In addition, I never signed a single document relating to the terms and conditions of this sale.
After speaking with customer service I was instructed to talk with the sales manager. I then asked him (manager) and was instructed to follow up with customer service. The follow up call with customer service resulted in the following: The C/S rep contacted the store manager, the manager stated that he had verbal authorization to sign my contract (not true) and that he also verbally informed me the non refund stipulations of using the friends and family discount (again, not true). I have now requested the supporting documentation showing where I signed such a contract and/or was informed of the "all sales are final" stipulation. All of this mess is opening this company up for a deceptive trade practices lawsuit...

Bought this bed in Feb 2017. The pump died in Feb 2018. They sent a new one and now this one stopped working, the bed levels won't budge and it smoke when we attempt to use it. We wish we never would have purchased. Can we please just a refund so we can move on with our lives? We haven't slept well in months.

We bought a top of the line mattress and foundation. The mattress was adjustable at head and Foot with temperature Control on each side. It came with a 100 day money back guarantee. The bed was poorly installed and we sunk in the middle. When we tried to return it we were told we could return the mattress but not the now worthless 5000 dollar foundation. When we complete as inefficient they told us we should have read the fine print closer and not listen to their company owned store salesman. A game of gotcha!

We had a Sleep Number in our house and we've had it for eight years. Then we bought another one from the store for our motor home. The representative who helped us was very knowledgeable and very nice. She answered all of our questions and she was great. We had the mattress delivered at home and it came by UPS. Overall, the quality of the mattress is much nicer than the mattress we had in the motor home.

I had Sleep Number's 2012 bed and then I upgraded to a different mattress. I went from a solid king to a split king mattress and didn’t have to change out the base. I just had to upgrade the top and got sheets. Their sales reps were always excellent. Everyone has always been able to help including when I have any snafu with the remote control. The delivery team was very nice too. They had a little problem wherein they couldn’t assemble but were very courteous.
My new Sleep Number is excellent. I couldn’t refer it any more than I do to everyone I know. I tell them that the Sleep Number comes with a 25-year warranty. I waited way too long to get one because it’s the best you could ever get and if you have issues with financing there’s several years of financing. So rather than buy a crappy bed four times over just buy one good one. It’s a great product, it has great warranty and it’s a great night’s sleep.

Each side of the Sleep Number mattress is adjustable for firmness and it contours to the body eliminating pressure points. However, the downside is the initial cost. But other than that, it is especially good for 2 persons.

We've had a Sleep Number for about 20 years. This is my second Sleep Number and I've had it less than a year, and I like it so far. I went in the store and the rep was very nice. The delivery guys were okay, but I had a few questions that they didn't seem to know much about. They knew how to put the bed together, but that was the extent of their knowledge.

Sleep Number is excellent comfort for both of us. I can adjust my side to softer while my husband prefers his side firmer, it's great. Also we recently purchased the temperature control pad. I have my side cool while my husband has his side warm. Absolutely love this bed. Oh and the adjustable base is fantastic. My favorite part is the massage feature, it just puts me right to sleep.

My wife and I both have back problems. And having a Sleep Number turned out to be a good choice. I called them in their store and talked to them and they went down here. I filled out an order form and then a guy showed up at my house so I could do it over the phone. Then three days later, the new mattress was here. We have the frame from our previous Sleep number and we just set the mattress on it. And we've had it for about a year now and we’re doing fine with it. When I'm on the bed, I'm usually asleep. The bed is really nice, has a better quality and it seems to be more durable. Sleep Number has lived up to its reputation.

We love the comfort of the Sleep Number bed. The first time we went into a store in Peoria, we tried the bed and really liked it. But we were not impressed at all with the way they conducted their business. And we’ve told them that. We have a friend that lives in the Quad Cities and they have a Sleep Number bed. The store was in Bettendorf, and that’s where we went, and they were wonderful. The reps took all the time that was needed to be with us and they explained things really well. We had already fallen in love with the beds and they helped us make the decision on which one we were going to get. And we also bought pillows. We’ve been very happy.
But the delivery went good and bad. The guys that came were extremely nice but after they got the bed all the way up, my husband looked down and on the side of the bed was where the name of the bed was written. He asked the guy if that was the name of the bed that we purchased because what was written there was different. Apparently, the delivery guy had multiple deliveries and he brought in and set up someone else’s bed which was lower in quality. The bed that we purchased was very nice. They come in in pieces and they have to blow up tubes in these beds. So, when they come in there in a box, one would think how that is gonna turn into a bed.
The guy took the wrong bed out as a full-blown mattress and he got our bed going. He was a little shook and pretty upset at that time so when I was asking him some final questions, he gave me some incorrect information. But had I been the next guy that was gonna get that bed and they brought it in that way, I wouldn’t have taken it. But the delivery turned out fine for us. It was just a fiasco and it was kind of funny. And we’ve told them that so they were well aware of that. Also, because we are in the Illinois division and we bought the bed in Iowa, it was delivered by the Illinois division out of Peoria, the same place we had problems with.

My husband and I bought a Sleep Number bed over 25 years ago. That was our first one and we used it until he passed away four years ago. I have since relocated and moved closer to my son, and I wasn’t gonna bring that great, big, king-size bed with me, so I bought a new one. I got a queen-size Sleep Number bed and I love it. This time, I got the mattress and the base. The last time, we didn’t need the base because we had the bottom from the water bed and we used that. I got some bedding as well. I also bought a knee pillow for my granddaughter for Christmas and she loved it.
When I purchased my Sleep Number bed this time, the sales reps were very friendly and helpful. They understood what I was looking for and my interactions with them were very good. Sleep Number got my bed delivered and set up wonderfully. The delivery guys came when they said they were gonna come and they did a great job. They were in and out and gone.
I have a question, though, with something that's coming up. Since I'm moving from my apartment into a home that I have purchased, I was gonna call somebody at the store to ask if I need to let the air out of the mattress for the movers to move it or leave it alone. I’ve recommended Sleep Number beds to everybody we know and I told them that it would be the best sleep that they’re ever gonna have. I love the quality of Sleep Number's products.

i8 360 Smart Bed - My experience was with a very knowledgeable, friendly salesperson who showed us and explained every mattress in the store to us. She guided us to the proper mattress for our needs and wants. We have since considered the purchase of this mattress even though it is quite expensive.

I was willing to pay $7000 to get a good night sleep. I thought I was reassured of a good investment because 100 day warranty that Sleep Number so prominently advertise and speak about at their location. The truth of the matter is that I was disappointed on both counts. Not only did the bed not live to expectations (as I consistently woke up with lower back pain), but attempting to return the bed was even more painful. What was sold as a complete bed now, all of a sudden, the bed and the base are separate! They will accept the uncomfortable bed back, but after they let you know it will be more than a $200 charge to you! What about the base, you ask? They don’t accept the base back! That’s right, the $3000+ base you thought was part of the 100 warranty...it’s NOT! Unless you have a need for a base (adjustable or otherwise), you just lose that investment, In fairness to Sleep Number, I listened more than I read!
I listened to the commercials brag about their 100 day warranty. I listen to the salesman tell me that if I was not satisfied for any reason, I had 100 days to return it. I guess I should have known that the contract stated the base of the bed could not be returned. I guess I should have known that I was not purchasing one single item but instead two completely different items. I guess next time I purchase a TV, I will make sure I can return the TV and the remote control. Or when I purchase a pair of shoes, I can return the right and left shoe. My advice to you, if you are thinking about purchasing a Sleep Number, you better pray you love it. If not, you will lose more than time and sleep. YOU WILL LOSE MONEY! P.S. A manager did agree to take the base back...for a $500 restocking fee!!!

I've had sleep apnea issues and my husband's had back issues. A friend of ours works for a Sleep Number store, so we're able to get his friends and family discount. He met us at our house 'cause he was in town for the weekend, and it went great. I also visited one of the stores to get fitted, and it was good. We tried the bed out and he ordered it for us. We also got the mattress protector and sheet. The delivery was good, though I wish I had paid a little more attention or been involved in the process. We're going to move and my husband's very handy, but I'm afraid that we might not get the bed up right.

We’ve had Sleep Number beds for quite a few years. We bought a second one when we moved here six years ago, and we bought a new one to replace our old bed which was a California water bed. We’ve been happy with it, and we’ve had guests come and stay with us and they went off and bought Sleep Numbers. My sister was the one that got us started and between our family, we probably have about eight to 10 beds. The last bed we purchased was up at the Florida Mall, and the reps were fantastic. Everything came in as expected. I got a coupon for pillows because we had referred somebody and we happened to be in Naples, Florida. There was a Sleep Number there and the woman that helped us with our pillows was fantastic too. Delivery was great as well.
With our first bed which goes way back, we had a problem with mold growing underneath and that was totally handled by Sleep Number, and we were satisfied with the way that was resolved. And when we lived up north, we had the bed warmer which was lovely up there, and I’ve now passed it on to my nephew who lives in New Hampshire ‘cause he’ll need it. We live in Florida, so we don’t need it anymore. It’s such a good product that we don’t really get rid of it, we just keep passing it around.

We've had our first Sleep Number for multiple years and this recent purchase was our third one. We have five miniature Australian Shepherds and a couple of them like to share the bed and our previous bed, a queen is not big enough. My feet hung over the end in that. So we went from a queen to a California king. The guy there at the store that we bought our first bed from was still there and we dealt with him on this recent bed. The guy that delivered it did a great job. Everything's set up. I had the queen Sleep Number bed already moved, torn down and reset into my son's room. We upgraded to move him off of a regular mattress and into a Sleep Number too.
I like Sleep Number’s ability to change. I've got back issues, and it is nice to be able to crank it all the way up and have a lot of support if I'm stiff or if I'm feeling good, I'd be able to crank it down and sink into it a little bit and have that cushy feel. I’m a big burly guy and every now and then, I want the bed to feel nice and cushy. Also, I love the bed’s quality. It's great. They told us we need to run it up and down everyday to maintain the Sleep Number setting. When we first got it, it wasn't an issue trying to do that, but then I just forget. I wish that I can set the timer on at 10 o'clock where it would auto-insulate and reset at 5:00 o'clock in the evening, that would be awesome. My experience with Sleep Number has been great overall. I can't sleep on anything else. We even have one in our motorhome.

We got a Sleep Number adjustable bed for medical reasons. We got the mattress and what comes with the bed, but we had our own pillows. We've had our Sleep Number bed for a couple of years now and I have only good things to say about it. The sales rep knew what he was talking about and we had a very good experience with him. We were new customers and we told him our problems and what we wanted, and he seemed to put these all together. The delivery team was great and the delivery of the bed went well. The quality of our Sleep Number bed is excellent and it helps us get to sleep. Our experience with Sleep Number was great and I will recommend it to people that have our kind of problems.

My ex-husband and I have had a Sleep Number in the house for awhile and we both enjoy being able to sleep at our own settings. I have a king i6 or seven. It’s held up great and any problem I’ve had, I just called Sleep Number directly like when I needed a piece and they just sent it out with no delay. My Sleep Number now is very good. The sales reps were very good. They made sure we got what we needed for our budget, that we had everything we needed to start out with the bed with the mattress cover and sheets, and making sure it was all comfort based versus just to getting a bed like being in a normal mattress store would.
The delivery process was good too. The team was nice and prompt, let me know when they were coming, and was able to have a better time scheduled, so I’d have known when they were gonna arrive. They worked with my schedule. Sleep Number's professional service is always great. I have no problems going into the store, their staff is always very helpful, and they don’t sell me something that is not needed. They try to get the most for the budget that you have and they’re worth it. I’ve referred them to everyone.

Our first SN bed was a queen C4 that we purchased about 16 years ago. At the time the master bedroom in the house we lived in would not accommodate a king size bed. We were just sick of paying a lot of money for mattresses that would break down in just a few years, so we decided to go with the SN bed. What a great decision! We were very happy with the bed, so when we moved to the new house we bought 11 years we ordered a king size bed and have been just as happy. We still have the queen in our spare room, and have had people rave about the comfort when they have stayed with us. Now, we are buying our 3rd SN bed, for the vacation home we are buying! Once we have it and have tried it out I will write a review on it. I have no doubt we will love it as much as we have our other ones.

We had a Sleep Number bed before and we wanted to try where the head and legs come up so we bought a new one. The sales rep took care of what we needed then it was delivered. The new bed is soft and it is pretty much the same as the previous one. I have only had one occasion when I felt I needed to raise the head a little bit because of congestion. But the bed did the job and I'm glad that I’ve only had to do it once. I am very happy with being able to adjust the bed's firmness, but being able to raise the head and legs is probably more than what most people need.

I’ve had Sleep Number mattresses for approximately 20 years and I’ve had very good success with them. I purchased two king size mattresses. One for here in Ohio and one in our winter home in Florida. I also have a Sleep Number queen size mattress on one of the beds in one of the spare bedrooms and a Sleep Number sofa bed. The Sleep Number reps were excellent. We knew what we wanted and they didn’t try to change our minds. They have a good product and I would highly recommend Sleep Number. One family of friends came to visit, stayed in the spare bedroom with the Sleep Number and they all say that it was one of the best night sleep they’ve had in very long time.

I have had Sleep Numbers in the past. I had one for probably 4 or 5 years. I used a different mattress before and then I recently bought one. The first salesperson I dealt with was more trying to upsell me on everything. But I put my foot down and said I do not need any of that. But, he’s very friendly. And then the second time, I went in there for a pillow, and he tried selling me up something else too. I’m like, “Dude, I’m here for a pillow. Stop it. I already bought a bed”. But, he was very nice too. The delivery team was fine, but I had to ask them how to use it. But, otherwise, they were great and friendly as well. I will not buy anything but a Sleep Number. I love it.

This bed (King p6), in theory, is great. The fact that you can control the firmness level of each side separately is a great idea, until it doesn't work. As long as we've had the bed, which has been 7 months, it has had a slow leak on one side and so does not stay firm. When we first called customer service they told us to take the bed apart and switch the equipment around. This did not resolve the issue so we called again. Customer service then told us that we've had the bed for a long time (7 months!) and we need to buy a replacement air mattress! It wasn't until we asked for a manager that they decided that they would try to help us by sending someone out to look at the bed. This is unacceptable service for how much we spent. We are ready to throw in the towel and get a different bed just so we don't have to deal with the headache of dealing with this terrible company. Don't waste your money on a Sleep Number bed!

In the middle of the night, without warning, after two years of operating just fine, my $10,000 bed stopped communicating with your server. At midnight in Idaho no one answers your phone. AND, your product cannot be reset without access. I had back surgery three days ago. Now the bed does nothing but cause me pain because it's FLAT and not Zero-G. Very unhappy customer. Will spend my time tonight on social media filling the airwaves about your product's crappy performance. Hope I cost you a hundred sales.

The store was wonderful and the sales guys were great. In August, it will be a year since we’ve had Sleep Number and it took me about six months to get used to it. But I’m sleeping better. My husband wanted the bed and his numbers are terrible. He doesn't sleep very well and I don’t know what’s going on with him. But we’re not gonna switch. It’s gonna have to work for us. However, I bought one of those blankets and it was washable. It was warrantied for a year. I washed it in December and all the cotton was sticking out of the seams after I washed it. It was terrible. I called Sleep Number and I took it over to the store here to show the people, because I just saw that this is what’s happening. “You guys should be solving these things.” But Sleep Number replaced it.
Now, I have not washed the new one at all. I have had it five months and I haven't washed it. But they told me that they wouldn’t replace it the second time. But if it happens again, I should be replaced or my money should be given back because it was 100 bucks and it shouldn’t do that. Not just a few things were sticking out. It was just all over the place. Maybe I got a fluke. But all in all, we’ve been pretty happy.

I bought the i8 bed and had hoped that it would alleviate back pain, but it hasn't. I called to ask about returning the bed and was told that extra foam and a gel pad and pillow top could be sent to me at no cost in order to see if the additional padding was helpful. Unfortunately it was not. I called again to inquire about returning the bed. Here is where it gets shady. I was specifically told by the salesperson that the only cost to me to try the bed would be the $199 delivery fee that I opted for. But here's the real charges. Either pay $29 per box label PLUS the shipping fee to return OR pay $199 for techs to come and remove the bed. And those free gifts of foam and a gel topper that I didn't even ask for in the first place, I have to pay to return them or get charged $499 for them. Let me reiterate I was told they were absolutely free and when the gel topper tore I threw it away.
Now I'm left to pay for something I didn't want and $199 minimum for returning a bed that I was assured would be free to try. Andy at the Virginia Beach, VA store you are shameless and flat out lied to me and my husband. Other issues with the bed include the pump not working properly and once the extra foam was installed it left a gap at the head of the bed that had to be filled with a rolled towel in order to keep it from eating my pillow and leaving me with neck strain. Overall I am not impressed and feel like I have been shaken down.

We had a Sleep Number bed in our motor home and we liked it. So when we needed a new mattress, we decided to go with Sleep Number in the house. Everybody was very helpful and nice at the Ganz Store. We scheduled home delivery and the team was great. We bought the base and the mattress a year ago and we love the bed. Each person can have their side set the way they like it and it's very comfortable.

I just wanted to warn all potential Sleep Number customers of a very bad customer service experience we had with ordering a Sleep Number bed frame. If you decide to get one, proceed with caution. TL:DR version – By the time it’s all said and done, I will have missed four days of work – unpaid - to have it delivered and set up, and it’s still not right. I gave up and told them to come pick it up and refund my money. We are going to buy a different frame, as their frame was simply not worth the trouble.
Long version: Ordered the frame, took 6+ weeks to get it. Took off work to have frame delivered. They forgot to send the hardware package. Said it would take 3-5 days to get the hardware and 3-5 days to reschedule. Escalated the issue and they had the screw package overnighted. Took off work to have frame installed. Screw package was sent to the wrong address, and also received a call stating the driver was in a car accident the night before and they were unable to make my appointment anyway. Expressed my sympathies and asked to have another driver sent. Was told only one driver works this area (note that I’m in an area that has close to ~2M population). Was also told this was the only driver in the area and he works 12+ hour days. I said that’s probably why he was in an accident (overworked).
Rescheduled for today (5/15). Hardware package shows up Monday (yesterday). Took off work to have the frame installed today. 3rd day off. Dispatch called; stated the driver “had an emergency” and can’t make it today… someone will call me back. Escalated and said if they can’t make it today, come pick up the frame. Was offered ~17% off the frame, and free bedding. Declined offer, as 17% doesn’t even come close to compensating me for my missed time at work. Made an appointment to have the frame picked up. This will be my 4th missed day of work.

We can't apologize enough for the trouble that occurred with your delivery, Mike, and that this experience resulted in you returning your order. This definitely isn't the great experience we strive to provide for our customers and we will be forwarding your comments along to our leadership teams so that they can look into ways to improve our delivery processes in the near future.

It was perfect. They worked very hard and were very polite--and neat! We are old - 83 and 81 and Daniel explained the whole process as he was setting up, and then he made sure we knew how to control the bed, and who to call if we had any problems. We give them A+ - you should give them a pay raise.

I got a Sleep Number because my brothers each had one. I have one for at least 15 years and decided to get a second one. I recently bought a queen-size bed from them and the delivery went very well. They set everything up and took the old one back. I'm very happy with the quality of the bed and I'm anticipating getting either the head raiser and/or the foot raiser. I would recommend Sleep Number. In fact, I've already recommended it to my nephew in Colorado.

We purchased a Sleep Number Bed in 2004 and were happy with it until we discovered mold between the memory foam and the cover for the airbag. Obviously the mattress was sweating and unable to breathe, which caused moisture to accumulate and thus the mold. Although we have a 20 year warranty on it, we need to pay a large amount to ship it back to Sleep Number in order for the warranty to cover it, and even then the warranty is pro-rated. We looked online and saw many postings that many others also had this problem with their Sleep Number Bed. We NEVER want another Sleep Number bed as we don't want to take the risk that it will also end up with mold! I could NEVER recommend that anyone purchase a Sleep Number bed!

I had a very pleasant experience at my local Sleep Number store. The sales professional took plenty of time to help me understand all of my options and explain to me how to use the remote and what the implications of each bed were in terms of pros/cons. He never pressured me at anytime to make a purchase.

We walked into a store on our way back from a trip to Wisconsin and decided to buy a Sleep Number bed. We got to try out the bed and that was what sold us on it. The home delivery service was great. Both my husband and I like the overall quality of the bed. We have this king-size bed and we have that halfway split. So, he can do his thing and I can do mine. We sleep better than we have in years. We've been married 25 years and half the time, my husband slept in the basement because he couldn't get comfortable. But the Sleep Number bed very comfortable and it has been a game changer for us. We've already recommended Sleep Number to a couple of friends.

DON'T PURCHASE FROM SLEEP NUMBER! Crew broke our bed frame March 17, 2018. Filed a claim with Sleep Number and it is still unresolved. After that we discovered the damage to the base, yes black plastic. Replacement base delivered and set up today, ok only part way set up, still can't use our Sleep Number bed. $3,300.00 for mattress padding with two air mattresses, smaller than a crib mattress, and a black plastic base. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.
