    I like the comfort of having a Sleep Number. I purchased a mattress, a pillow and the pad that goes on top from them. Their sales reps were polite, friendly and they explained everything. Their delivery team was great too. Since getting the items, I've been having the best sleep I've ever had.

    I purchased a top of the line Sleep Number bed 11 years ago. We’ve had a few problems but always had Sleep Number come out and service. One side of the mattress deflated. We contacted Sleep Number and it took almost 3 weeks for someone to service the bed. They finally came out today. I spent over $8,000 on this bed and waiting this long for service is appalling. I couldn’t do anything since I had just had a heart attack and unable to try and fix. I’ve been so uncomfortable it has made my recovery very difficult. If they are selling these beds they need more service technicians to support their products, this is a disgrace!

We strive to make our beds easier to service, should our owners have any trouble, which is why our 25 Year Limited Warranty provides coverage for replacements due to manufacturer defects but doesn't include a technician. We can often do troubleshooting right over the phone or online and get a solution on its way often in less time than it would take for a technician to come out and report back to us. If you'd prefer to have one of our technicians come out and go through the troubleshooting for you or install a replacement part, that is an option we can offer but it can take time to schedule depending on the area you're in and the availability of our team.     I purchased a Sleep Number bed based on recommendations from other friends that have it, and the people in the showroom were great at explaining everything. We got the whole bed, the movable bed frame, the mattress and a set of sheets. Though I wish the sheets weren’t so expensive, I was impressed with the rep's knowledge and his willingness to spend time with us. We laid on every bed in the store and they went through the whole computer-stimulated thing.

    I bought a Sleep Number flextop king dual i8 - from Sleep Number (no ADJUSTABLE base) floor model. Original selling price $4600.00 but got it for $2600. Purchased in April, well that began my nightmare. I dreamed about owning a sleep number bed for years because the commercials made it look like the best thing since homemade pie. I was sold and desired one but every time I went in one of the stores and priced one they were just too expensive.

    In the meanwhile, my current mattress became more and more uncomfortable to the point it was hurting my husband and I back really bad. So we visited several stores pricing mattresses but my desire was a sleep number bed. Well one day we went into the sleep number store again and they were having a sale. We could get the I8 bed for $2600 compared to regular price, however, it was a floor model. Being caught up in the moment and the fact that my dream could come true and not to say I almost certainly believed that we would sleep like a dream with no more back pains so we purchased it.

    After a week, my husband and I back was killing us. So I called the store and they told me to contact customer service. The customer service were nice as they call themselves “comfort care”. They sent us additional foam to put in the mattress because I really wanted a refund at this point because I felt duped. We tried it and no luck. We tried using the adjustable settings, still back pain and the bed feels like you’re sinking or depends on setting like you are sliding down. It’s such a weird feeling. It’s now November and I am reaching out to sleep number management in hopes of getting resolution to this issue. I am not rich and don’t have $2000 to burn. I truly would like to request a refund so that I can seek another bed that fits our needs. This has been unbelievable because I really thought this bed would be our answer. Again, I ask that you please issue us a refund.

    We've had a Sleep Number for about 16 years and we recently bought an upgraded one. The salesperson that we bought the bed from was very good and knew their product. The first time we scheduled the delivery went fine. But we are going to have another event with them today, and it's not going so well. We’re having them come to re-set up the bed because they didn’t really set it up the way I would like. It’s difficult to make in the way it’s got set up in our bed frame. But I had to pay for that, and they’re supposedly coming to fix it today. They told us to keep the whole day open, which was fine.

    Two days ago, they couldn’t let us know what time the service would be. When they called us with the time, they told us the people would be here between 4:00 and 7:00 at night. But we already made plans to go out to dinner with somebody else in the evening around 5:30. We don’t know what’s gonna happen at this point. When they say "the day", for me, "the day" was 8:00 to 5:00, not 8:00 to 7:00 or whatever they think it was.

    After buying the bed, we bought bedding and a comforter. But they messed up the order and what we received. So, we went down to the store and took it back, and then they were gonna send me the correct stuff. But they didn’t send me the correct stuff. I had to go back down to the store and get that straightened out. Now, we’re supposed to get the correct item today in the mail. It took three to four weeks before we finally got this whole thing straightened out.

    The other thing that really upset me was that they didn’t give me an invoice for the second time that we ordered it. Then I got an invoice in the mail, so I called them and told them it was the wrong item. But it was already mailed and they wouldn’t do anything about getting me what I wanted until after the unit arrived here and I took it back down to them. Then they reordered one. Now, what I think I’m gonna get is just what I wanted from the beginning. In general, Sleep Number was very good. Their products are very nice and we like the products.

    We bought a FlexTop King bed for $8,000 3 years ago. Within 3 months it was losing lots of air every day and there was such a huge dip in the bed it feels like we are falling out all the time. We also have needed to buy 6 sets of sheets because you have to buy sheets from Sleep Number as they are the only ones that fit. We've needed to purchase 6 pairs already in 2 years because they are so flimsy they keep ripping. Each set of sheets is $250. We have had our old bed for over 10 years and it's still much more comfortable and the sheets lasted for years. We contacted them 3 times and they said we need to adjust the bed ourselves and wouldn't come out to look.

    This is my 2nd Sleep Number bed. I have enjoyed both. My first I bought in 2010 and bought a C2 which is one of cheaper models. It was good and I enjoyed it but it was NOTHING compared to ILE Limited edition with flex 2 adjustable base! Both my husband and myself can set our head and legs to level we want independently of each other so we are both sleep comfortably while still sleeping side by side! Yes the Sleep Number bed is more expensive than other beds but if you have trouble sleeping like I do because of health issues it is worth EVERY PENNY!

    We purchased a Sleep Number bed for many reason but the one that was of utmost importance was all the feedback we heard about how it helped individuals that snored. The Sleep Number bed was designed so you could raise the individuals head without your partner side (head) being raised as well and this was to aid in stopping the one individual from snoring so the other individual could sleep. You could purchase a Sleep Number bed that would raise the head together or separately. We chose the bed that was split to raise individually. We tried the bed first that you could not raise then the split model bed where you could do each side individually.

    Don't need to tell you these are quite expensive beds, they offer the 100 days return policy but in the small print that you're steered away from they don't disclose to you it is only offered on certain models so once you purchase these quite expensive beds you're done. You're out your money if they don't work or are uncomfortable. Well that is where we fit in, this has to be the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on in my whole entire life. The snoring from my husband is worse now than it ever was before, raising his head up all the way or just part way does no good, in fact it actually makes the snoring worse. I have slept less since this bed purchase than before and I wanted this bed so bad. I saved and saved, hunted for deal after deal only to be so disappointed beyond my wildest dreams. This bed is falsely advertised, it is not comfortable, it does not help with snoring, or any other issues you might have.

    I myself wake up every morning in more pain than I did before sleeping on a regular mattress. Like raising the bottom to help with legs, pain, discomfort, all it does and has done in our case is make things worse, sleep deprived, so sorry we ever purchased this bed and now 5 grand later stuck with a bed we simply hate and so sorry we ever bought this bed. It was a better choice just to buy traditional beds, mattresses and take our chances. At least we would not have been out all this money and their return policy does not just apply to certain models. I am so sad that I begged and teased my husband into letting me have this bed as now I am stuck with it, I am so sleep deprived I can barely function every day and to top it all off we have a special needs child that requires total assistance which of course falls on me as I am homebound. I tend to her every single need every day on my own.

    I am putting this out there so no one else ends up making this mistake by all their false statements, to get you sucked into purchasing this bed. I too was like you. OMG. If this stops my husband from snoring I want this bed, I want to sleep. And believe me when we walked through Sleep Number doors that is all they told us over and over as they showed us their models, wanted us to lie on them, test them out, etc etc. You will have endless restless nights, no more snoring, wake up fully rested blah blah blah. Again like I stated above they got our money and now when I called them to inform them this is not true they say, "Oh well does not work for everyone." Well okay. Put that out there. Let people know it is a possibility it will not stop individuals from snoring not that you have tested the beds over and over and it is a proven fact it stops individuals from snoring because that is not accurate.

    I was a consumer that was so overwhelmed from endless sleepless nights that I totally believed your facts. I want to know now how can you make this statement when indeed it is not accurate? I want to know how BBB/Consumer Affairs/FDA approval let you make these accusations? Or is it because they have not heard from individuals like ourselves letting them know this does not work? I think maybe that is our next step besides leaving this feedback. We need to also contact them as well to inform them your statements indeed are not all accurate as you make them out to be.

    We've had a Sleep Number bed since the early 2000 and it was getting old. I purchased a new one about a year ago. It was a queen-sized bed, single mattress and we bought the lift to get the head up elevated above the rail. The experience was all good and prompt. Everything they told us was accurate and true. I scheduled the delivery and they sent people out to take away the old and install the new. And it's not only that. They were also there to show me how it worked. They were professional and very informative, and it was a very nice experience. I love the new mattress. I’ve had the first one for almost 20 years that time and I’ll stick with it. It’s been a great experience.

    We purchased a king size - split top adjustable base bed just over 2 years ago and we have a gap right in the middle of our bed that is 6" wide. This space is located between the left side and the right side of the bed - this space is perfect for falling into, losing remotes, having pillows fall into - but not great for sleeping! I reached out to their customer service and they suggested trying their troubleshooting guide, tried it and it didn't improve. They also sent out these bolts that were supposed to help. That did make a minor improvement but since, we are back where we started.

    I reached out to customer service again and was told to try the troubleshooting again. I explained that I had been down this road already and it didn't work. He then stated this is a manufacturer's defect but since it's over 2 years old, they would cover 72% of the replacement and I had to pay over $300! I'm not going to spend $300 on something that may not solve the problem. This is ridiculous that we paid thousands of dollars for this bed (don't remember if it was $7000 or $9000 and we are still paying on it) and have this issue. Not a happy customer!!! This is my 2nd Sleep Number bed and will be my last!

    Bought a split king i10 model bed July of 2014, told it has a 25 year warranty, been dealing with the two mattresses drifting apart in the center of the bed for a while. Called Sleep Number today to explain it to them. "Oh that is not correct, needs to be fixed. You are under warranty, we will replace both the covers and foam inserts of the pillow top..." It will only cost us $460.00!!! How is that a warranty? So they sell you a bed to last 25 years and after four it is falling apart they will fix it as long as we pay for it. They come off like this is your last bed ever - never need to worry about anything anymore. Crooks, shysters... Never buy their crap. Don’t fall for it. After paying 7 thousand dollars this is what you get.

    My experience with Sleep Number was fine. I had one and then it was time for an update. I bought the mattress last March and the sales rep was very helpful and fine. The delivery team was really good too. All their products are nice but the sheets and pillows are a little pricey so I don’t buy them. But I love the quality of the Sleep Number mattress. I don’t think I’ll ever sleep on anything other.

    We were looking for a bed and went to a Sleep Number store. We were attracted by the Sleep Number concept because me and my wife could choose a different setting regarding the way we sleep. Salesman was very nice and told us that we had 100 days to try the bed and if we didn't like it we could return it and get our money back. At this time we were told that we could choose UPS delivery for 59 dollars or Sleep Number delivery and bed installation for 199 dollars. We kept looking for a bit and finally took the step to buy a C2 bed, and first surprise the UPS delivery wasn't an option anymore. So we decided to not get their special bed protector to stay in our budget.

    The bed was delivered, not a big deal to install for them, but after a few hours we noticed that the side of the bed was not getting his shape. Called Sleep Number, took pictures and we were told that it was normal and the bed will get its final shape after 3 days. It never did. First night was not good at all, very disappointed. It didn't felt like when we were trying it at the store. Real feeling of sleeping on a camping inflatable mattress. The change of setting didn't make it better. At this time we already knew it wasn't gonna get better. My wife's back pain were getting worse the days passing and we had to buy a mattress topper so it would not feel too bad for her. Called Sleep Number after 3 days to return it because the feeling was really bad and the shape still weird. They told us they could take it back in 1 month! And the return would be charged 200 dollars!

    We told them that the mattress was defective and we didn't want to pay the return because of it. After negotiating they finally said yes. When the payment was returned, we noticed that they never us for the return fee like they said they would. We finally got rid of that horrible mattress but it cost us 400$ just for the delivery and return. They never talk about that in the stores, all they care about is selling you the most expensive mattress, and once delivered you realize that it's just a cheap air mattress with a little bit of foam around. My advice avoid those scammers. They sell overpriced mattress, don't tell you about their return policy, just promise you everything is reimbursable.

    I have had my bed for a few years now, and I like it. However, because it is basically it is an air mattress, I had no idea it would bulge on the sides. I often times have to sit on the side of my bed prior to getting out of it. The mattress is now bulging or sagging. I wish I had known it would do this prior to my purchase. At least with a regular mattress you can turn and flip it to prevent this from happening.

First, we recommend unzipping your mattress and rotating the foam comfort layers inside your bed. While you can't flip the mattress itself, rotating the foam will help give you a more even wear. The other thing we'd recommend is to set your bed to 100 each morning when you get up. This will help keep the components within your mattress taught and should prevent the bulge you mentioned.     Got my bed and the very first night I was on a support chat window trying to get my pump to work. After being promised a new one would be shipped out 2 day rush, anyway you can count 2 days came and past. This happened on a Wednesday night, I got my new pump the following Monday. Thanks guys.     Updated on 11/12/2018: I dropped the controls for my adjustable bed. The holding end for one of the batteries broke. These controls have 3 holding brackets. The one that broke was made of VERY THIN material. I think this is the reason for this issue. I had this happen once before but it had to do with something else and I can't remember. I feel this is a manufacturing issue. This probably has happened to numerous individuals. My first issue was the representative that took my call sent me the setting controls for the Sleep Number when I explicitly said I had my bed in the upright position and it was impossible to get the bed down.

    Know copper is a conductor. I would really have been in a mess since it has taken about 3 weeks to get a new control. I put enough copper wire to hold the battery in place and the controls worked. Today I got my new controls. I am thinking since this is the second time this has happened maybe the manufacture of the sleep controls needs to send me a spare pair of controls. The manufacture is China as we know a cheap manufacture of all produces. I am sorry to feel so negative but can't help it.

    Original Review: The person I spoke with could not have been nicer but she sent me the wrong controls. I told her my bed was in the upright position and would not come down. When my controls came they were the bed controls for what # one wanted to sleep at. Fortunately I know how to fix my controls with a copper wire so they will work.

    Essentially three people were involved in our purchase and installation: Alejandro ** (sales) and Renee (sp?) and Brandon (delivery/installation). All were pleasant, personable, helpful (and patient with us) and very professional. Alejandro never pressured us, but he carefully and completely described differences between our old Sleep Number bed and the options available. He helped us select the optimal system for our needs. Renee and Brandon called twice on the day of delivery, and were within two minutes of the projected arrival time. They were hard working, efficient, worked like a team in assembly and placement of the bed, and they explained the hardware and the software to us quite well. We like the improvements of this bed over our previous (15 year old) Sleep Number bed. We only received it last night, but I suspect we'll be quite happy with it.

    We purchased a Sleep Number bed and FlexFit 3 Base. The sales associate assured us that we would have a 100 day trial with a money back guarantee. Prior to receiving the bed, we saw online that people had issues with returning the base, so we called the store and were told... "Sleep Number would not do that and even though the base isn’t technically included, the company will take it back if you’re not happy."

    Within 30 days we knew the bed was not right. We had the iLE mattress but it was not comfortable at all, it caved in the middle and both my wife and me had bad back pain resulting. We contacted Sleep Number and they sent a mattress foam topper, but it still did not help so we decided to return. After an hour dealing with customer support they accepted the return. Upon returning the bed, we had not received a refund in 7-10 days as we were told so we called to inquire. They then started processing the refund, but after all was said and done they shorted us $1000, which they claimed was for restocking and delivery. It’s just crazy how a supposed free trial ended up costing us $1000... Plus a lot of time and frustration having to spend hours on the phone with various customer support associates. We do not recommend Sleep Number at all, this was a horrible experience.

    I have a very bad back and wanted to try Sleep Number out. I went to them and my last salesman was patient, very kind and helpful. I bought the 360, which is the best one. However, I'm unhappy that they would ask me to purchase a $40 control after spending over $9,000 for a bed. They said I should use my iPhone or iPad. Still, scheduling the delivery went perfectly and the delivery team was great. Also, the 360 is extremely more comfortable than our old bed. The padding is thicker, much better, and softer for me. My husband loves how you can recline anyway you want to sleep. I love being able to see at night due to the light under the bed when I get up.     I had my first Sleep Number for 15 years and so it was time to get a new one. The one I recently purchased is a better bed. The mattress top is a little better than it was originally, and the frame is certainly better, too. The sales professional I dealt with didn’t try to push anything on us. He was interested in what we were looking at and what our needs were. I have rheumatoid arthritis, so there are some days when I need a harder bed and some days when I need a softer bed. He was very accommodating in trying to fulfill my needs. The home delivery was also magnificent. The delivery guys were the best and they were funny as well.     My husband and I spent $7000 on a bed and waited 3 weeks for delivery. The bed arrived and was defective, so could not be installed. We waited 4 more days for another bed. When the delivery people showed up for the second time, they had no bed on the truck to install. They then said we’d have to wait 2 more weeks for another bed.     I called the Sleep Number Warranty Department on 10/10/2018. They had me pull everything off the bed then completely unzip the top of the mattress and do an examination of the foam underneath while I was on the phone with them. This was unbelievably ridiculous and then I volunteered to email this person pictures. Never heard a word. Called them again this AM. They are going to UPS me some new foam out to stuff my mattress. No warranty service. I'm 63 years old. I should have asked these questions before I bought the bed. Beware, you don't get what you pay for. I don't recommend buying this bed. What happens if it shifts again? Why did it do it this time?

    6 years ago I got into a car accident. I've been in pain ever since. It's getting worse and worse because of the Sleep Number bed that I've had for 5 years. I went through for remotes because I have adjustable frame. For the past year the foot part won't go up and the head part won't go down and I can't afford to buy any more remotes. They say it's a 20-year warranty but they're full of it. The bed slides off the frame so you have to lift it. Now there's a big hole on the bottom of my mattress that was hooked up to a hose to make it softer or harder. All it is is an air mattress and an egg crate. $3,000 I spent and it's making my back worse. I told the guy at the store I just got into a car accident so he gives me a bed that I have to lift the mattress every day. I've been sleeping on the couch for a year. They should not be allowed to stay in business. Worst customer service. Lies lies lies. Thank you.

    We have Sleep Number products in our home since early 2000. This time, we got a Sleep Number 360 smart bed. We had already had a Sleep Number bed for eight years and we have kept it and put it on another room. The reason we switched to the 360 was because my husband had rotator cuff surgery. He's had surgery on both shoulders. And with that surgery, you have to sleep in a recliner for so many weeks. He can't lay on either one of his shoulders for long at that time so it really helped. He felt very comfortable with the bed. He can keep it raised to keep the pressure off of his shoulders. Four weeks ago I had to get up during the night and help my husband get up. Now that we got a bed that raise up my husband could move back to the bed and sleep sitting up without putting the pressure on his shoulder.

    We went to Sleep Number more than once because it was a big decision for us to spend $10,000. The sales professional at Sleep Number was very good. We went before the surgery because we knew that it was gonna be a problem with the controls on the chair. The recliner was electric and the control was on the side that he had the surgery. She was able to talk about problems people have with their shoulders and the different ways that they adjusted it to accommodate for that. They answered all of our questions. We even got into the frame of the bed because we wanted to keep our frame on our bed. The rep was able to handle all of that really well. One issue for me though is trying to find the bed skirt that will work. I know Sleep Number has one but I’ve not actually looked at it. I know that it would not work for me. I have other friends who have Sleep Numbers and that's the one thing that they all struggle with.

    My wife and I bought a couple of beds since we have been married and the last one was not a good quality. I had a couple of people who recommended Select Comfort bed so we thought of trying it. When we walked in to the place, their customer service was amazing so we ended up walking out with a bed that day. Tay was nice and helpful. He answered all our questions and he was balanced. He took care of me and my wife and also interacted with my son. He was very professional. He upsold us and we bought everything, the pillows, bedding and a comforter. We even called back and ordered more sheets.

    We had the products delivered. The gentlemen brought everything in and set it up. When they were bringing the bed in, they did not damage anything which was important.     I have to say today is a great reason for me to cancel my orders for a new bed with Sleep Number. They have a 25 year warranty but the way that they do the math you only get 24 years. This is very important when dealing with the warranty replacement. I placed an order for a bed in September 2004 and I have had issues and tried to be a replacement part and they told me that I was in my 15 year of having the bed and this is in 2018. I know that I had issues in school but I know 2004 – 2018 = 14 not 15. I spoke with some customer’s service agents and so called mangers also that were really rude. I just know that I will never buy from this company ever again.

    This is my 2nd SN bed. The salesperson, who is also the store manager, knew exactly what I had before. A SN bed with a SN box spring. When my new bed was delivered & assembled, I had hoses sticking out on both sides, apparently, the salesperson failed to tell me the hoses are now on the sides of the bed, not at the head of the bed like they used to be. So, it cost me another $480 to get the "integrated" base. Why do I call it failure to disclose? Because the exact same thing happened to my Mom who was getting her 2nd SN bed. Just imagine walking into your bedroom & seeing hoses sticking out of both sides of your bed. No discount offered either, so this must happen a lot.

    I've been very pleased with the comfort of my i10 Sleep Number bed for three years. But now during the first time I flipped and rotated the top foam layers, I discovered many, large, nearly through-thickness fractures of the memory foam layer. Memory foam should not crack after 3 years. Just got off of chat with Sleep Number and, under their so-called, limited 25-year warranty, these two pieces of memory foam are costing me $237.36. This is a total rip-off.

    I've had a Sleep Number bed for at least 10 years and I was happy with it then a friend of mine bought that off me. I bought a new one in February and I got a good service. The sales rep was fantastic and did a great job. He sold me that day and my closest friend, and I've got another friend that may be interested. I got a queen size and I have the ability to elevate the head and feet. I also got some of their sheets, body pillow, and two of their curved pillows where my neck can fit into. The delivery team was great too. One was a little new at it, but the rest couldn't have been any nicer and were really personable. There was one who knew exactly what he was doing totally and he was one of their best guys. He did everything and showed me everything. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. However, I don't like that I had to pay for delivery. I'm very capable of installing one of these beds.     I slept on run-of-the mill air beds, and I really liked them but the problem with them was they lasted about six months and then the seams would let loose and they would become a balloon. I’ve had back problems and I worked hard all my life, so I was finding a bed that I could lay into it and get a good night’s sleep. So far, I’ve been happy with my Sleep Number. I got a twin and a double. I’m still on my twin and the double bed is still in the box. I wouldn’t have bought the second one if I wasn’t happy with the first one.

    When I was buying the first one, I gave the credit to the department, in the store in Minot. For the second one, I did it over the internet and I ended up with a way better price. When I was trying to do it on the internet, I got interrupted by a live person and he walked me through it. The bed was delivered in the same timeframe and as promised. I would recommend Sleep Number.

    We had Sleep Number before and we liked it. We had our mind set up in buying one because our old one's sides were breaking down and it was just getting old. When we were in the store, the rep didn’t high power us into anything other than what we felt comfortable with. She just said, “Here’s the products, and here you go.” Also, the delivery team was good. They came in, took the old one out, put the new one up, told us what to do, where to go, how to work the controls and all and left. We had a smile, they had a smile.

    We now have the queen bed that rises up and has a vibrator. I liked the old product because when I got my number down where I wanted it, I slept better. But after six months the side started breaking down a bit and I was getting a little discouraged. But this one, it has been about six months now and so far, so good. I feel very comfortable with it. I could sit on the edge and put my clothes on without feeling like I’m falling out of bed. So, the product is muchly improved. I’m extremely satisfied. I'd ask others to come over tonight, try the bed out and see what they think.

    We had a Sleep Number bed 12 years ago. I loved it, and then it finally gave up the ghost. We had to get another one but we did not want to pay the amount of money that it was at that time. We tried one or two different brands and nothing seemed to satisfy, so we went back to a Sleep Number bed and bought the i8. Sleep Number is one of best, most comfortable beds.     I paid cash upfront from my bed and was told it would take almost a month to get here. That alone is unacceptable. However on the day of my scheduled delivery I have all my other furniture moved out of the way and my old bed taken away and then an hour after my appointment window I get a call saying they're not bringing my bed due to a truck issue. I mean come on $7000 for a bed. You go rent a truck because now I've got nowhere to sleep. Nobody at customer service corporate or home delivery that I talked to could have cared less. Too bad so sad. Ok so I'll come pick up my bed... it's mine... it's paid for. They refused. Go to the BBB... this is VERY typical of their practices. Do NOT deal with this company.

    About six years ago, we bought a foam mattress set and it wore out faster than we had anticipated. So, for the past couple of years, we’ve been looking at different brands and different types of beds. We were really pleased with the warranty that came with the Sleep Number and we liked the ability for each of us to choose how firm or how soft because we have different sleep numbers. We were excited with the various things that we saw with that brand. We tried some of the other ones but I didn’t feel comfortable on the memory foam toppers on the other lines. When we were adjusting the number, I couldn’t tell a difference between 35 and 75 because of the memory foam on top. I didn’t like that.

    Sleep Number's sales rep was very helpful. He was very patient when we were doing the first test and analyzing our Sleep Number and feeling the different levels where they had that displays above the bed which showed your pressure points and stuff. He was very knowledgeable, explained what we were looking at and what he was doing and did very good with it. He didn’t pressure us into buying one model or the other. He listened to our comments and our concerns with each bed we tried out, and we felt that he helped us pick the bed that was the best for us.

    The bed was delivered and we were really pleased with the set-up team as well. My husband was at home and he commented on how quickly they had taken out our existing bed, brought in the pieces for the Sleep Number and had it set up. He said that soon after they left, he was playing with the remote and that something happened. He called them and they turned around and came back and fixed whatever he did.

    I love the bed. My lower back doesn’t hurt as much. That’s a big difference because I don’t know what was causing my lower back pain, if it was just the way I was sleeping in the bed because I was flat or if it was the firmness of the bed. But once I found my Sleep Number and a comfortable sleeping position, my back pain has gone.

    My back was hurting a lot and I couldn't get a good sleep, so I went to Sleep Number. Their reps were very friendly and helpful. We were asking too many questions but they answered each of them. I've had Sleep Number products in my house for close to 15 years and this was going to be our second bed. It has been that long since having our first bed and we were wondering about what was new. They were pointing out all the stuff that we didn't have and it made even more sense to upgrade from our old one. My wife was also very satisfied with the delivery.

    The new Sleep Number has a lot of different improvements which has worked out well. It has a better size, it looks a lot better and I don't even notice the difference between the two bladders now where I did before. All in all, the Sleep Number bed helped with my sleep. Also, my brother-in-law had been in an accident and broke his back. We told him about our bed, and so they purchased one, too. They've been happy with it.

    My wife has had some serious back problems, so 21 years ago, we stuck our neck out and tried a Sleep Number bed, and it worked out very well. We also put a Sleep Number bed in our camper 17 years ago but we don’t have that one anymore because we got rid of that camper. Then about a year ago when our first Sleep Number bed was 20 years old, we decided to replace it.

    The guy at the Sleep Number store in Maplewood, Minnesota was very good. I’m a retired Director of Procurement, so I spent my life at sales working with sales people, and this guy was a little different but very effective. He took us around and showed us the different models, and I laid on each one and tested them. He insisted on showing us how the big king size bed allows us to tilt the bed up and down. He did a great job and we now have our third Sleep Number bed. We purchased only the bed because we already had a base and besides that, the bloody thing costs $3,500 for just a mattress. Our original bed was not even a Sleep Number. It was called a Select Comfort and it didn’t have the electronic controls and everything else. It had an air pump that was hooked up via wires and it was noisy. So, we went to a very new model that is more advanced and we did good.

    Normally, I would pick the bed up myself, but I had a leg amputated three years ago, so there are a few things I haven’t learned how to do yet. I figured I’d just pay an extra and we scheduled a home delivery. The bill for home installation wasn’t all that bad and we paid it. I was at work when the crew delivered the bed and my wife said they came in, took the old mattress apart and put it in the junk pile. Then they installed the new mattress and everything was good.

    This new bed is a little quieter to operate. It has some of the features that Sleep Number occasionally likes to taunt, like we can get a report on how we sleep and all that stuff. It’s great. I love the bed and my wife says her back is better because of it.

    I have been intrigued by some of the new extremely high density foam beds because they tend to be very flexible, which is something that people need. But I used to sell mattresses years ago and I’m not convinced that the inner spring mattress is the right answer in the long term. I had a bit of a lawsuit five or six years ago with Select Comfort when somebody made a mistake along the line, and it had to occur at Select Comfort’s corporate offices. It caused a little bit of a credit problem for us. We got it straightened out, however, and it was all taken care of. But even though I was kinda crabby with the company for a while, I was never crabby with the product. I’d recommend the Sleep Number bed. The product is top-notch great and I can’t imagine a better bed.

    The store and purchasing process could not have been better. But once I left the store, any level of service or interest in my experience ended. The first bed arrived two weeks after the order as expected, however delivery issues and lack of any communication left me waiting at home from 8 am when it was expected till 4 pm when it arrived and was set up. Setup was incredibly fast, so much so I was more focused on how to ensure my app on the phone worked than noticing the bed was sagging and the sides "tub" were completely warped. I called customer service immediately after the delivery guys left to alert them of the issue, sending pictures and was informed then it was 'defective' and they would have to send a replacement, 3 weeks later. Beyond the look, I was told I should be able to sleep on the bed. WRONG! The first night was terrible and even at 100% inflated was so soft it felt like a hammock.

    I've spent the subsequent nights on the sofa or at friends as the only mattress/bed I have is the 'defective' Sleep Number. I was able to go out of town to my beach place where I have a bed, then learned that Sleep Number was mailing the replacement 'components' of my bed to my home, of course NO ONE told me. So I had to have friends drive to my place and pull box inside. I called to try to expedite the replacement and to understand what and why things were being mailed and was told it was protocol and normal for them to mail these to me and I should expect two more packages. None of which is useful for me until the installation person arrives to put this all together still a week away.

    I received an email informing me I should package my return products and print a return label for my defective bed for it to be shipped back, but when I called to get clarification I was told to ignore the email and that the installation person would take away the defective components. A subsequent call to customer no-service I was again was told I needed to print that return label but I didn't need to worry about the shipping as the installer would take it. (not sure why I need to print a label) Each call ended with someone vowing to get back to me... no one ever did. Each call or transfer to another person or supervisor resulted in less interested or caring person on the other end and no help.

    Customer service has been rude and dismissive and I'm out nearly $3000 for a bed I can't use, and I was told my 30 day free sleep period would not reset with the replacement parts, so technically once I get a bed I could actually sleep in, I will have only the longer warranty and have to deal with the replacement/repair process protocol. I called to ask that they please just come and take the bed(s) back, was told I would have to reschedule an appointment as the current appointment was for a repair and the person would not be allowed to take all the components away. So I'll have this junk in my house an additional two weeks. Now I have to go out and buy a mattress that I can actually sleep on and get in line to have Sleep Number come get the garbage I have.

    I have never had such bad service from anyone who wasn't the phone or cable company. I will warn anyone and everyone who ever mentions the need for a mattress to stay clear of this company. Maybe a functioning product would be a good bed, but this ordeal and the lack of customer service or empathy for the customer experience should keep anyone from trying it.

    We had a Sleep Number bed before and we liked it. It sleeps both people separately and it doesn't move around when you get up or down at night and not wake the other person up. We recently purchased a king-size with the pillows and a couple of sheets and the staff at the mall were all right. Also, I had a very informative interaction with the sales rep. She even tried to get the date moved up for getting the bed here, but they couldn't do that. The delivery team came and put the bed together. It stays up on whatever it is adjusted to. The bed came with a lot of information on it like when you go to bed, get up and the heart rate. It's very comfortable. It's good to know you can go somewhere and get what you ask for and be satisfied with it.

    My girlfriend and I got this bed over a month ago when all beds were half price and were more than excited to use a new bed as our last bed was pretty worn out. We ordered the bed in a physical store along with a couple bedding items to include the Total Protection Mattress Pad and In Balance Layer along with a custom pillow. All of that was pretty pricey, but we figured it was well worth it to protect the bed from anything not covered by warranty and everything was such high quality, we figured we would take the extra hit.

    Fast forward a little over a month and my girlfriend and I are anything but satisfied with the bed. We were told that the ILE was going to feel pretty much like the i8, which we loved when we tried in store. It did not. In store my Sleep Number was calculated to be around 55 on the i8 to support my back. After a couple weeks at that number, I could barely get out of bed from the lower back pain I had.

    So, I gradually reduced it down to 35 over the course of a week or 2 and found it to be ideal to fix my back problems. But, at that low of a setting, the mattress just feels like a glorified air mattress that you would use while camping with a little more padding. You can feel the air in the mattress shift around you and everything. Not to mention the low setting of 20 that my girlfriend had to use to be comfortable. Her side felt like sleeping on a puffed up plastic grocery bag. We have been very underwhelmed by what was supposed to be one of the best mattresses on the market.

    Fast forward a little more to today when I called to return the mattress as we were done making excuses for a couple thousand dollar purchase just to get a decent night sleep. The lady I had the pleasure of talking to was anything but pleasant to have a conversation with. Each step of the way of getting the return set up I was given knowledge of all the costs I was about to incur. $200 just to have 2 guys come unhook the mattress and haul it out in less than 10 minutes is a little steep. "Sir, it was in the document you signed when you purchased the bed in the returns section" was what I was swiftly met with like she had been through this a couple times already today.

    After a slight hold, I was then told that only the bed was returnable and the almost $400 worth of bedding we got still needed to be paid for through the CC vendor. Not to mention I had already paid $200 to get the bed delivered to me that took all but 10 minutes to set up which was not getting refunded. That, too needed to be paid off as well.

    So, now I am sitting here having to pay for the extra $800, half of which is delivery fees, the other half is unreturnable bedding. The mattress protector and In Balance layer has been underneath brand new sheets for a month and I pretty much have to hopefully sell for less than half the price to get anything back on that investment that the salesman said "was almost mandatory". All of this because we didn't like the mattress.

    And the "100-night In-home Trial"? Sounds good at first thought. But, after a couple weeks of being uncomfortable in a new bed that is supposed to adjust to you, you know whether you like it or not. We looked into returning the mattress at around 3 weeks and the first thing that comes up when you go to Sleep Number's Return page it informs you that it may take up to 30 days to get used to our mattress and if after that you are almost encouraged to return it if you still don't like it. That's a pretty convenient amount of time, 30 days. It just so happens that 30 days is also the amount of time you have to return any bedding items. So if you do as you're instructed and give the bed more trial after you're almost certain you don't like it, you get the cost of all the bedding you were encouraged to buy shoved right in your face with nothing more than "It was in the contract that you signed when you purchased the bed".

    This is a very poor business practice and is almost downright deceitful. I was almost certain that this bed was going to fix my back pain and gave it all the chances in the world to do so, even giving it second and third chances as I was instructed to do before returning it. Now I have to foot an $800 bill for returning a bed that I just wasn't satisfied with. I will not be purchasing another Sleep Number bed and will definitely make sure to suggest any other mattress for anyone I know looking for one.

    Bought bed on November 23. 2017 Finally got delivery on Dec. 14th, 2017, I couldn't use bed because it was wobbly and made all kinds of noises, like an old spring mattress. I had to pay if I wanted to return the bed and be stuck with a 3400.00$ bill. After about 8 wks. They sent a technician to fix it and found out it was not installed right and the bed legs were not even screwed on tight which made it wobbly and move all over the place. I have also told the company that the air mattress has an indention and sits 2 inches from the edge which makes the bed camelback, and very uncomfortable to sleep on. Now it has developed a rise in the center of the bed and is more uncomfortable to sleep on. Nobody will listen to my complaints and I'm stuck with a $3400.00 bed that I can't hardly sleep on.

    We purchased a king-sized Sleep Number dual-bed which has a controller for both sides for raising the foot or the head. The bed is perfect. It works well and we enjoy it. The only problem I had with it was it came with extended legs and it was too high. The rep didn't tell me when I bought it that there was an option that you could get the shorter legs or the taller legs. I ended up having to pay to get shorter legs put on it.

    I finally argued with the Sleep Number and they said that they would cover the cost of installing the shorter legs, but I still had to pay for the shorter legs and that was unfair. They could've just taken the longer ones with them and gave me the shorter ones, but I'm stuck with longer ones. The shorter legs are fine, but I wasn't pleased that I had to end up paying for the shorter legs. But other than that, it was a great experience. There was no interest on the financing, the bed was delivered at the right time, and they did a great job of installing it. I'm happy with the entire process. The bed is overpriced, but that's beside the point. If you want it, you gotta pay for it. I'd recommend Sleep Number to friends.

    We’ve had a Sleep Number for around 14 years, and I like the idea that I don’t have to flip the mattress over all the time and the air pockets inside are adjustable. Knowing what we wanted, we recently bought another Sleep Number along with some parts to replace the damaged things on the old mattress. The sales reps were very informative and low pressure, and then, the delivery was excellent. The guys did a great job in hooking up not only the new one but in replacing the parts in the old mattress, which was above and beyond what I expected them to do. We had the second Sleep Number in our guest room and our guests remarked how comfortable the bed is.     I had a bad back and it gave me trouble with every mattress I tried. Someone told me Sleep Number and I got one of their beds. I started with mine a couple of years ago and I’ve been with them ever since. What I have now is my third one. We were upgrading some things on our home and I liked the feature of the elevated head because I have a bad case of acid reflux and I wanted to be able to raise my head up at night. I had a waterbed frame where we put the California king air bed inside, but it was difficult for my wife to make the bed inside of that box. We decided to take a look at the Sleep Number. I didn’t have any idea it was gonna involve that much money, but then I thought that we will only do this once and we will never end up buying another bed like that. So, we might as well bite the bullet and get what we really want instead of what we think we would like to have.

    I worked with a rep named Jean at the Sleep Number store and she was very low pressure. She didn’t push me and didn’t press it, but she still told me so many options and outlined how I could make it work, and it sounded like something I wanted to do. The delivery went well. The guys came in and set it up in no time. The whole bed was a little heavier and a little bigger than I thought -- the superstructure with all the metal for the raising of the head and the feet -- but the use we get out of the bed outweighs the inconvenience of trying to move it around. We were at the point of putting wood floors on our home and taking the carpet out, and we could put the bed on the floors and slide it around if we had to move it at all, but the delivery was good. The guys that came in did a good job of putting it together and it has been working ever since. I like its quality and it’s very well done. However, it’s a little more difficult to make than we thought it would be with the split head. It’s also a little hard to get around as well. Still, we are doing fine with the rest of the bed.

    One time, we purchased the heating and cooling element for both beds. We got it home and turned it on. But then we got it wrong and my wife could not sleep with it being on. I boxed the whole thing up and took it back, although I didn’t know whether I would be able to return it or not. However, they were very gracious and they were more than willing. They didn’t give me a hard time. Their reps just said that if I don’t think it’s gonna work I can just bring the item back.

    I've used a Sleep Number for about 20 years. This time, my daughter bought one in Ashville. I'm 92 years old, so I'm not very good at buying stuff anymore. The bed was delivered down here and two young men came, put it together, and showed the features of the bed and how to use it. The one I have now elevates the head and feet. Other than that, it's identical to the one I've been using. But, I like it. I had a little stroke and I had a hard time getting in and out of a regular bed, so with this one, I can get up and down easily. Everything’s fine with it.

    We had one of the originals from Select Comfort and we have five of the Sleep Number so, we purchased with them and got a replacement compressor for one of our beds. The sales people at the store in Woodmere were great. Our bed was losing air pressure, so they gave us a real good diagnosis. Whoever you call on the 1-800 number at Sleep Number was very helpful, too. I was impressed with their reps' knowledge. Both the in-store and the phone call were great and they were very pleasant. Also, with the bed, I wake up rested. My back is in pretty good shape for my age and I attribute it to Select Comfort. I’ve got a very good feel about that product. They're a bit pricey but the investment over the long term is well worth it, both in money and your back. We’ve sent quite a few people there.

    First salesperson said as a last minute sales pitch that “financing ends today”... which wasn’t true because I called the next day. So we decided to go ahead, spent $8400 on a bed for delivery which didn’t happen because driver WAS AFRAID of our driveway. It’s on a curve, but not dangerous. Then said delivery would be 8 DAYS later, and now the excuse is the driver was in an accident, after telling us that the bed was on its way an hour after the time they said it would be here. Truly AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Corporate people don’t care how upset customers are.

    We gave our bed away the night before the original delivery so we’d have room for the bed that never showed up. ZERO STARS. The CEO is lining her pockets with all the cabbage people like us spend in her stores with crazy, markup on bedding and pillows. Markup equals profit people and they mark it up there. Not to mention you are basically forced to get their sheets because Walmart doesn’t sell split sheets yet... Did I mention AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Then, the first base did not work and so had to have a new one delivered (more waiting)... but actually customer service representatives worked with me and I did feel like a valued customer when speaking to several different customer service representatives. All in all, customer service was exceptional and we are very happy with our new bed and will continue to recommend Sleep Number. I don't think we will ever buy another bed!

    Ordered a Sleep Number Queen C4 bed with a Flex Fit 2 Adjustable base. The bed was delivered and setup on September 7, 2018. Like many others our old bed was removed and disposed of earlier that day. From the first night, my wife's side totally deflated, I could not understand why I kept rolling towards her side. Called Sleep Number customer support who offered several troubleshooting techniques to isolate the issue. Next night same issue. Called customer support, who again wanted me to do more troubleshooting. There was no urgency on their part to correct the situation.

    As it stands now, they are sending out some replacement parts, NOT OVERNIGHT, with a technician to arrive October 4th to install them. WHAT??? I guess we can just sleep on the floor until them. My wife has MS, and this bed and the base were purchased to help alleviate some of her symptoms. This is not an item you can take back to a store and exchange for one that works. I have already contacted a lawyer to see if we could get a full refund for both the mattress and base. Sleep Number normally will not refund take back the base. As it stands now, I have no bed to sleep in, and will have to wait almost 4 weeks to have one that I can sleep in. This has to be the worse customer service I have ever encountered.

    Christina ** and I have had Sleep Number beds for years. My last experience in Arizona was full of terrible customer service, but Christina convinced me to give Sleep Number another try, since the beds themselves are very comfortable. First, the salesman at the Arundel Mills, MD, store kept having to go ask his manager questions, and the manager was too lazy to come out and help until the third time.

    Second, though we said we didn't want a dual chamber with Sleep IQ, the salesman put us down for a dual chamber queen -- with the extra cost of Sleep IQ. I had to call and change it back to a single chamber. Third, when the bed was delivered, one box (with the foam) had three pieces of tape across the flap, but it was so open, you could stick your whole arm in. The tape also didn't have the Sleep Number logo on it like the other box did.

    Fourth, the second box (with the logo-branded tape) was secure on the outside, but the box that should've had the remote in it was empty and the instruction manual was crumpled like someone had thrown it in the trash. How am I supposed to use an air bed with no remote? Where was I supposed to sleep, especially after disassembling and removing my old bed? I certainly don't have room for two big beds in my bedroom.

    So I phoned on Thursday, Sept 13. The associate I spoke to was very nice and told me they would "overnight" a remote so I'd have it tomorrow. This is important -- she said "overnight" and "tomorrow" as in Friday, Sept 14. By Friday night, when no remote came, I phoned customer service again. The associate I spoke to this time said that Sleep Number never sends anything "overnight" and that whatever shipping options you choose (such as two-day air) don't apply until after the order goes to the warehouse and gets picked.

    I asked to be transferred to a supervisor. The supervisor was EXTREMELY rude to me and didn't seem to understand that I hadn't ordered a second remote and that I was talking instead about the one remote that should've come with the bed in the first place. She asked how much I paid for shipping, because she was going to refund the shipping cost. I told her nothing, because that was the promotion I got in the store. Then she told me "Please hold" and hung up on me. I now have confirmation that the remote will be delivered today, Sept 18 (we'll see if that's true or not).

    Once again, Sleep Number's customer service is terrible. I bought a new bed, trusted that all the pieces would be present, disassembled my old bed, and got stuck sleeping on an old futon on the floor for five full nights, without even a partial refund offered. Hopefully by the next time I need a new bed, another company will be in business selling air mattresses meant for permanent use. I will never buy another Sleep Number again, and I'll warn off every one of my friends from buying a Sleep Number again.

    We've had a Sleep Number for about 20 years and it was time to upgrade our bed. The sales rep was really helpful. We wanted the ability to raise the top of the bed, not so much the feet, and he was able to look that up. We couldn't remember what bed we purchased in the past but he was able to access our account and he let us know which one was pretty much like the one we had. We got a p6 which is the split-top king size bed. The delivery guys gave me a ballpark timeframe when they would arrive and they were right in the middle, so I was very happy with that. I stood with them while they assembled the bed and they cleaned up after themselves. Also, the rep walked me through setting up the phone app and the remote. He showed me how it all worked.

    I love our new bed and I enjoy the underbed lighting. It's weird but I love that. When I get up at night, it will turn on and I don't have to walk around with my phone in my hand trying to figure out where everything is. Also, one thing that impressed us about Sleep Number is that our 20-year old bed is still as good as new. The longevity of those is fantastic and it’s in our guestroom now. That’s usually one of my talking points to the people I’m talking to. They will outlast anything that you’re gonna spend comparable money for. We’ve been recommending Sleep Number beds for the last 20 years. A lot of our friends and my in-laws have them from our recommendations.

    We've had a Sleep Number bed for about 10 years and when we decided to upgrade our bed, we bought a mattress and an adjustable frame. But so far, I'm not totally sold on the bed. The foam is really hot to sleep on. I liked the other one though. I didn't experience the temperature variant so much with that one as I do with this one. Aside from the bed, we also bought two sets of sheets back in May. I would take the sheets off every Saturday and wash them. Then I would put a different set on so that I can alternate my sheets. But I noticed that one set of sheets was snagging. So I went to my local Sleep Number and took the sheets in. I was given a card for customer service so I called and I had a lot of trouble understanding the representative on the phone. But I was told that those sheets were only covered for one-time return. The ones that I purchased were no longer available though, so they ended up having to upgrade them.

    We spent a small fortune on the mattress, base, sheets, pillows, etc. After sleeping on it my husband had an allergic reaction to the materials which caused welts all over his body. We obviously couldn't keep this. I called customer service to schedule a return and after being on the phone for almost an hour was told I couldn't return the base, the sheets, pillows, and mattress topper. The only thing they would take back was the mattress itself, but still charged me another $199 to pick it up. I am disgusted that a company that is supposed to be top of the line has such terrible policies. I spent a small fortune on this, and they won't refund me until 7 days after pick up which is a month away. I will never purchase anything here again, and will warn off friends and family. My neighbor was going to buy one this week, but after telling them my horror story, they have decided against it.

    My old Sleep Number was worn and lumpy so I got a new one. I worked with somebody at Valley West Mall and he was very helpful in explaining the different beds. He also helped me make the decision on the one I got. The delivery went really good as well. I really like the bed, but I'm fighting the SleepIQ. Half the time, it says that there's no data recorded or sometimes it will tell me I had two hours of sleep, it's like it's not working right. But I have not made it to the store to have them help me with it again and that's on my list of things to do. I'd recommend Sleep Number to anybody and I know a lot of people who have them.

    Sleep Number is promoting their product as a "Premium" product, so why don't they pair that product with reasonably priced and faster shipping? I can go on to Amazon and buy a $6.95 paperback book and Amazon gets it to my door in just 2 days and with free shipping (I have Amazon Prime). I ordered a Sleep Number DualTemp layer, a product that lists for $849.99, and here's what happened. The shipping was $39. It took over 2 days for a shipping label to be created. The online Chat representative told me it shipped, but it had not. She did not seem to know the difference between creating a label and actually shipping a product. Now 4 days after ordering, UPS still does not show the product in transit. Bottom line, this is not a premium service, which now makes me wonder if the product is even worth it.

    Worst bed ever! Wake up in pain daily and after 11 months my husband still can't sleep in it and we bought it for him to be able to elevate legs and head. Contacted company and they have not made it right. They keep saying we are focusing on it being too soft and that is not what we have been telling them. Today we were told they have made numerous attempts to help and won't do more. Asked what attempts were numerous and were told 1 exchange and a lift kit. Umm lift kit made it even worse and didn't address issue we were complaining about except partially on the Grand Canyon split in the bed that the tech said was a design flaw of theirs. Left message for CEO. Let's see if she even responds!

    My wife and I went into the Schaumburg/Woodfield store on Labor Day and the store was quite busy. After exploring for a little while and feeling overwhelmed, I asked a gentleman a technical question regarding installation/moving, and he began working to understand our needs, demonstrated the system, and spent the next 90-120 minutes helping us decide what we wanted, making us aware of sales/specials, and the add-ons. I don't like a lot of salesmanship, and appreciated how his approach felt natural and unforced. He was helpful with providing quotes, deciding on pillows, comforter, and protector while feeling informative but not pushy. A few of the things we bought were things we asked about, and a few arose from him.

    In the end, we ordered the ILE bed on special and he walked us through the financing process and even made changes after-the-fact when we changed the pillows. Anthony is the kind of salesman that I like: he understands the technical aspects, sells by helping identify a need and it's solution, and gets backup when he doesn't know something rather than lying and **. I would recommend Sleep Number and him specifically to friends.

    I bought a Sleep Number bed a couple of years ago for my primary residence and was so happy with both my experience with the store buying it and the bed that I decided to buy one for my summer home, as well. Once again, the buying experience in the store was excellent. But even though I booked delivery well in advance, I was unable to get my first choice of a delivery date. I was able to get my second choice and even though that turned out to be inconvenient, I did not change it. Delivery was scheduled for between 1-5 pm.

    Sometime after 3 pm, I received a call that the delivery truck had a brake problem and my delivery would have to be rescheduled. Having ruined my day, the company was extremely unaccommodating -- and I found the representative with whom I spoke to be both arrogant and rude -- about a rescheduled delivery, and since they were unwilling to offer me a time that worked with my schedule, I canceled the order. They seem to have refunded the delivery charge promptly, but more than 10 days afterwards, they still have not refunded the much larger purchase price. I would not treat any customer, let alone a repeat one, so badly.

    We purchased from Sleep Number years ago and we just got a new queen-size bed that I needed. I like the whole thing and all that can be adjusted. I also like its firmness. But, my bottom sheet tends to pull away from being tucked in when I’m in bed. It seems to be a bit bigger than the mattress. Also, the sales professional who helped me was impressive. He was very personable and we clicked on some level then we became dear friends while I was there. The bed was dropped off and the guys put it together. They took apart the king-size bed I had and put it in a separate room because I did something else with it. I love my new mattress and I’m sleeping great. Sleep Number did great.

    We had a Sleep Number bed for 17 years and we also bought one for our RV several years ago and another one when we got a bigger RV. Sleep Number gave my wife some comfort in sleeping at night. She has a back issue and she does the research for the bed. She went from a C2 and then she decided to upgrade. The one we have now is above that and it has a better quality. We already had the frame. And it’s working out fine for her.

    My wife talked to the sales rep and had questions for him. She felt that his answers were satisfactory and then we purchased the bed. I scheduled it for delivery, but they took an old number off our file from years ago and gave it to the delivery guy and he could never get a hold of us. I had to miss the play that my granddaughter was in because he didn’t get there until about 7:00. It wasn’t his fault because the number he had was wrong. But when he got there, everything went smoothly. He turned around and took the old one and inflated the new, set me up on my cell phone with the information so we can look at our sleep patterns, and then left. He was also very nice. I have recommended them and there has been around six Sleep Number beds that have been purchased by my friends.

    My very expensive Sleep Number bed arrived yesterday (9/1/18.) It had an early-generation base that did not work. My mechanically astute installer finally got it to work through a temporary fix. I have asked for a new, current base. (Does anyone test this stuff? And who decides who gets old equipment that has been replaced and who gets current equipment?) In addition, neither the installer nor I could get the “Sleep IQ” app to work. It still doesn’t. Finally, the remotes that I ordered have not arrived. Fortunately, the installer had one spare remote. Without it and without “Sleep IQ,” I would have been in trouble. I can’t imagine how so many things could go wrong on one order except I am beginning to realize that this is one badly over-engineered mattress. This is our second Sleep Number bed and, based on the first day’s experience, will be our last.

    We have had our bed for a little over a year. We have two small children, and accidents happened. So the protective cover made sense. Before the mattress was a year old, we had to use the parts replacement due to the protective cover leaking. We were assured this was an anomaly and the entire mattress was replaced (except the air inserts). Well, the second one did no better. I have again noticed the topper leaks. I have been keeping incontinence pads on the bed to help, but those slide from time to time. So we again have a nice, stained up, mattress. I am completely disappointed.

    Our experience with Sleep Number has been great. This is our second bed from them. The reps did great and the delivery team did well too. They brought the bed in and hooked it up, and everything worked fine. However, my wife told my sister how much we like our Sleep Number bed so she bought one and it was installed wrong. My sister can’t get it fixed and it has been over a month now that she has it. Sleep Number couldn’t find anybody to fix it and now, it’s gonna be another two weeks before they get to send a technician to fix the bed. Although my wife and I were perfectly satisfied with our bed, I’ll never ever recommend Sleep Number to anybody again.

    We bought the Sleep Number bed through a friend's recommendation. We bought the regular frame and then the day that it arrived, I called the store and said we changed our mind and we wanna get the adjustable bed frame instead. It was cricket from then on and it took about three months before they finally called us back and told us that they would be able to exchange it at no cost, but simply to purchase the adjustable frame. When a customer calls the day that something is delivered and says, "We changed our mind," they should’ve jumped right on it and sold us the other frame.

    In addition, the bed was broken on day one. When I lifted up the head of the bed, it doesn’t lift up evenly. I called the installer and told him that he needed to come back because the bed was not right, but he would not come back. He sent some parts out and he said that the parts are easy to put on. I said that I would not be putting parts on a brand new bed that I paid $1,000 for and that they needed to send a technician out to put the parts on. I haven’t heard from the technician and it’s been about six months since we bought the bed. They don’t have a technician in the area and they should have one eventually. I got tired of calling people after a while and the parts are in the box sitting on my dryer for six months now.

    Moreover, the sales representatives in Albany are not great. Sleep Number needs to take a look at how they’re running their business. They wanna sell you the bed, but you won't get service after buying the bed. You got something like Sleep Number, you’ll have issues with it. You can’t just wake up one morning and think the bed’s gonna be the same as it was, the day you bought it because you can’t get anybody out there to work on it. The bed’s not worth it, so we haven’t been recommending the bed to anybody and won’t in the future until we see the technician come out and fix the bed. Go and buy just a regular bed frame, a mattress, and a box frame. They are gonna last for 10 years and you don’t have any issues with them.

    I8 bed - My sister recommended this bed to me as she loved hers. I have never liked it. No matter the setting it always feels like a brick. To be fair Sleep Number tried to satisfy me by sending me new foam and a comfort top. These things did nothing. It is still a brick and after waking up every morning feeling like I got run over by a Mac truck moved the bed to my guest room. Recently, my sister came to visit and said that my bed was nothing like hers (even though it is the same model). She agreed with me and said my bed was a brick! We can't figure out what makes her bed comfortable and mine not, but I cannot recommend this bed.

Both of our beds broke down - one we disposed of due to safety hazard! i7 (10 mos.) is broken - and after paying $200 to "troubleshoot" it, I am waiting for the new air pump, and another team to "troubleshoot" the problem.     We had a Sleep Number 5000 for 13 years, loved it. The new I8 is the worst bed we've ever had, it hammocks even at highest sleep number. Both my husband and I are experiencing horrible back pain and spinal misalignment. The company came out and added more foam to the mattress which only made the misalignment in our spines worse. They charge a $200 set up fee and a $200 return fee, so for less than 100 nights of torture you will be paying them $400. Also you can't return it for 30 days. Would give 0 stars if I could. The mattress in the showroom is not what you get.

    Queen singlei8 360 Smart Bed was a good choice for me and my pain problem. I had previously owned a Sleep Number bed and was anxious to purchase another one.     We have a Sleep Number bed that we owned for 20 years and then we got a new one, which is an i8 with adjustable base and completely two splits. It’s like two extra-long twins attached together and we sleep on it every night. We had a great experience with our sales professional. We were the only people in the store at that particular time because we went in the middle of the day. He took us around to all the different beds and had us try them and that was how we made our decision as to what we wanted. The experience with the delivery team was good. However, they weren’t able to describe what to do with the app as well as the guy in the store did, but we figured it out.

    We like the overall quality of the Sleep Number bed. The only issue we had was that it was a little hard at first to get used to what we really wanted to do with the elevation of head and feet. It also took a while to come up with each of our favorite positions. But we're glad that we did the two separate mattresses because we definitely do not want the same thing in that department.

    Very disappointed in the purchase of the pillow. Was told it would keep you cooler but the pillow heats up about 2 minutes after you lay on it. So I am turning the pillow most of the night. I have had the pillow for about 2 weeks now and keep thinking that I can get past this, unfortunately I will be looking for another pillow. The sad part about it is, is that if you take it back all you get is store credit. Why would I want to come and spend more money on a different pillow if it isn't any better than what I already have.     Due to very poor customer service, you have lost my business. Here is my story. My Wife and I visited your Sleep Number store at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, IL this summer while on vacation. We had an amazing experience with the sales lady who helped us. We went through all my sleeping issues and she conducted our sleep IQ test. My Wife and I were fit for #35 which was great! We were looking at the i8 and i10 mattress. We did not make the purchase that day because we wanted to compare your mattresses to the Tempurpedic Breeze. The next day we traveled home. We are a family of 6.

    A few weeks later I went to the Sleep Number store in Milwaukee, Wi (Bayshore Mall) and the General Manager (Cassie) was filling in at this time. I needed a new pillow because I have 4 herniated discs in my neck and I need a pillow with great support. Cassie was amazing and walked me through all the options of pillows you offered and took the time to talk about my sleep habits. I purchased the InBalance Contour pillow. She also walked me through the ILE Mattress and the i10, the features and benefits of both. I was impressed and ready to make the purchase, however, I wanted my wife to lay on the i10 and get her opinion.

    A few days later I received a call from Cassie and she wanted to know how my new pillow was working out for me. I was impressed that she had followed up with me. My wife was as well. The contour portion of the pillow was not working for me. She advised that I could exchange the pillow on Sunday 8/19 and she would call the General Manager “Josh” at the Milwaukee Bayshore location and let him know I would be coming in on Sunday. My Wife and I were thrilled and excited to make the exchange and purchase the new ILE or i10 mattress. The pain in my neck was gone when we sampled the beds in store.

    On Sunday 8/19, we headed to the Milwaukee Sleep Number to meet Josh. Upon entering the store, Josh and another salesman were sitting on beds and surfing on their phones. I walked in and asked to speak with Josh. The other salesman pointed to Josh and Josh asked what I needed. I stated Cassie had called and explained who I was and why I was coming in today. Josh said, “yea I know”, “what do you want”. He didn’t want to help me and argued with the other salesman about who was going to help me today. The other salesman said, “Josh, help this customer”. Josh said, “why don’t you do it”. Josh walked over to me, grabbed the pillow that I was returning from my hand and threw it on the floor. He said, “what do you want” with attitude and walked me over to the “wall of pillows”.

    I explained my sleeping habits like I did to Cassie. Josh said I have 2 options for side and stomach sleepers. I took two pillows off the wall and threw them to the nearest mattress and told me to lay down. When I was laying on the pillow he recommended, he said, “is that better for you” with attitude and I said sure. He told me to try the other pillow he tossed on the mattress and said, “get this one” with in a super disrespectful way.

    Furthermore, when I asked about the price of the new pillow he was selling me (it was $89, ComfortFit Classic), I asked about the price difference. The pillow I purchased was $129. Josh explained there are no credits applied to this pillow exchange and I was out of luck. I advised Josh, the cost of the pillow was not a concern and he started yelling at me, explaining that Sleep Number does not offer any types of credits. I told Josh, I would take the pillow just so I could get out of the store. Before Josh completed my new pillow exchange, I asked about the “cooling” effect the InBalance had because I liked it. He said I could purchase a cover for the same effect. After a 10 minute negotiation, Josh said “he would toss it in the pillow bag”. He did so with attitude and a roll of his eyes. I was so confused this entire time as to why he was so disturbed to help me.

    Finally, I left the store with a new pillow I know nothing about and I did not purchase the ILE or the i10 bed my wife and I were so happy to finally get. Josh did not even mention once about the i10 or ILE and I left. In conclusion, Josh the General Manger had such a bad attitude from the moment I walked into the Sleep Number Store and throughout the entire process, my wife and I will not be getting the bed of our dreams. We have 4 kids and were also thinking of purchasing new Sleep Numbers for them as well. Josh has lost all my business and my wife and I are so disappointed with his customer service.

    I bought an i8 bed because I have fibromyalgia and was told that was the model that people get for that. It arrived and it felt like sleeping on a bad air mattress with no support at all from the first moment I laid on it. I tried every setting possible and all it did was make my body pain far worse. I called the company and got a very rude customer service person on the phone who basically said it was my fault I had pain and that the bed was perfect and how was basically stupid for ever thinking the bed should feel like the one in the store did. Does that sound like a company that cares about its customers? I don't think so. It didn't matter who I talked to after that on the chain of command, nobody gave me any help, just attitude about how it's my fault I got it with the friends and family discount and was there for completely out of luck for returning it and not getting any answers or help.

    I am stuck with a very expensive bed that I can't even sleep on. And I still have to make payments on it. How does this help me at all? It doesn't. I am so angry and disappointed because I had thought I was getting what had been described as the best bed out there for fibro. I would warn all of you who read this to not buy a bed from them especially if you have fibromyalgia like I do. They do not care about you, they only care about your money. Since I'm still paying for this one I can't buy a different bed so I try to sleep on the couch but that hurts me too. I haven't slept since before I got the bed at the end of April and it's brought on neurological problems that are currently causing havoc on my life. Thank you SO much Sleep Number, you have no idea what you've done.

    Bought a P5 king. Before the 100 days were up, we upgraded to a P5 split king. The air mattress popped in the early morning hours less than 2 months after we got it. I thought since it was under warranty they would just come out and fix it. Before they order a replacement air chamber, they expect you to disassemble the mattress and check for holes. I guess telling them we heard a pop and the mattress went flat and now would not hold air wasn’t enough to determine that I needed someone to come out and fix the problem.

    Customer service told me he was getting a reading of 45 on that mattress. Impossible! It was totally flat and would not hold air. He made me feel like he thought I was lying. He did agree to send me a new air mattress, but he wanted the old one back. Fine. I should receive it in 3-5 days. I asked to have it shipped next-day. He said no because it was the weekend. It was 8:15 am on a Friday. Then he said next available installation date was 11 days away. Your bed is broken-not really high on their priority list, I guess. If I could return it, I sure would. Top shelf pricing with bargain basement customer service. Save your old mattress as a backup, you’re probably going to need it.

    I first purchased a ComfortFit Curved pillow in the store. That pillow was too firm for me so I took it back to the store and exchanged it for Pillowology, which was recommended by the store sales associate. The Pillowology didn't work for me either. I am waking up multiple times a night with neck pain. I called Customer Service and they say they can't do anything further, so I am stuck with a pillow that costs over $100 that I cannot use. Also, the store overcharged me when I did the pillow exchange and they told me to call customer service to get a refund for the overpayment. Customer Service was not helpful with that request either. This is not a company that is focused on their customers. Not happy!

    I have a bad back and my son recommended Sleep Number. I went into the Sleep Number store and the salesman was good, very nice, and knowledgeable. It was my first purchase from them and will be my last time. I bought my Sleep Number bed so I’d be prepared for my surgery but I’m not very happy as I have problems with the bed. The lights that are supposed to come on under my bed doesn’t come on now. I’ve turned it on three times. I’m also having issues about the heating pads and the cooling pads not working and locking with each other.

    I’ve called it in three weeks ago before I had my surgery but no one is calling me back. I called the salesman whom I bought it from and his manager said he was emailing someone. Now, I’m back with my surgery. The manager sounded very nice and said that she would handle the issue. On the other hand, the guy who sold me the bed worked tenaciously for me because when they sent me the wrong be, they had to come and get it. Then, they sent me the right bed but it was not set up right. One of the legs was shorter than the other. It took me almost a month to get it straight. I just had one problem after another.

    Right now, I would not recommend Sleep Number to anyone because if I don’t hear from them soon, I’m gonna have them get the bed. I’m waiting another two weeks and I’m calling it in because it doesn’t make sense when I pay $10,000 for something with all the things that I had, the sheets and the hot and cold. I had guys who came and tried to work on it but they couldn’t get it fixed. I gave them a chance for it, too and I paid for it. Sleep Number is a good bed but they don’t keep up with their product.

    I bought my Sleep Number in 2005. I was told I was spending so much more money because it was such a great bed and it would last me my lifetime. I didn't believe that since I was 41 in 2005 but I did believe in the 20 year warranty I was told I would get. Instead I got a good bed that needs tune ups. I've had the side cushioning replaced over the years, the remote and the motor. Now this week my bed developed a huge lump in the air chamber. It appears the threading for the chamber is coming loose. It is defective and can no longer be used. I called to find out that I would have to spend $100 (more money, again) on my "lifetime" mattress. Beware when you buy a Sleep Number. You will be spending money on it every couple of years. This is terrible customer service and no way to stand by your product and support your customer!

    To anyone considering a new mattress, DON'T buy a Sleep Number. Our last Sleep Number lasted 20 years without a problem, so in 2014 we purchased a new i10 Split King. Woo-hoo! The motor that raises the head & feet broke on one side (replaced under warranty). Some braces fell off (said we didn't need them). Four years later I started getting backaches. I took apart the mattress to discover that the high-density foam insert has cracked and split. So I called SN and was told that warranty replacements are prorated. The cost of the insert is over $300, and I will have to pay $118. Jack up the price of the replacement - Really??? So we went to Costco and bought a twin mattress topper for $95, and we're back in business.

    I had a Sleep Number before and this time, I bought an adjustable bed. It works. I get in, go to sleep and I don’t have any back pain when I wake up. Everything is great about its quality. I will recommend Sleep Number to other people if they could afford it.

    All three sales people were very knowledgeable and courteous. We have owned this bed since 2007 and love it! Solved so many issues since we have opposite needs. He likes soft and I prefer firm. Both have back issues. Solved!

    First day we got the bed had error on remote. Called store. Said to unplug bed let it reset. It went away. Week later it's back. Called customer service 4 times. Very rude. Still not fixed. Said we can't return base and cost 200 bucks for them to come out and fix on warranty! What a joke. They didn't tell us that at store so got a high priced bed that don't work right. What a ripoff. They said they would take top back with a 400 dollar charge. They said to sign papers when buying. It said it was standard. Wish I would have read it first. So people beware if go to Sleep Number!!!
