    DO NOT BUY A SLEEP NUMBER BED!!! We fell for the hype, and we are so sorry that we did. The whole process and this bed have been terrible. You are charged $199 for the delivery, which you cannot decline because they have to assemble and pair your bed for you. It is not an “extra” if you are forced to buy it. This is the first stage of the rip-off. If you want to attach your headboard to the bed, you have to buy the brackets at an extra at $60. They do not even include the needed brackets for a headboard on a $5000 purchase? This is the second stage of the rip-off. Let me assure you; this is nothing more than an ordinary air mattress. It deflates at night. If your partner happens to have a different “sleep number” then you do, then you spend all night balancing yourself, so you don’t roll downhill, and unless you like your bed as hard as a rock, you feel every single movement of your partner.

    If you attempt to utilize the responsive air to try to find some comfort, you get woken up all night long by the sound of an air pump rattling the bed. Since day one, some of the features did not work; we got an error almost every time we tried to use the foot warmer. We called and were told that an update had caused an issue, and it should be fixed, it was not and continued to give us an error nearly every time we turned it on.

    THE 100 NIGHT GUARANTEE IS A LIE!!! Everywhere you look there is a huge banner assuring you that you can try the bed for 100 nights risk-free, but what they bury in the fine print is “THE BED” MEANS THE MATTRESS. YOU CANNOT RETURN THE BASE! I called after a week and wanted to return it because we were so uncomfortable and the sales guy told me that he would send me a “topper” to make it more comfortable (obviously they do this a lot), and if that does not work then I can, of course, send it back. He does not mention anything about not being able to return ALL of the bed. I didn’t find that out until three weeks of terrible sleep, along with back and neck pain that required a trip to the Chiropractor!

    Explain to me how I am supposed to test this bed and see if it works for me if I cannot use the features that I am paying so much money for in the first place? I can’t try the foot warmer or the raising and lower of the head and feet before I spend $5000 on a bed? They tell you that it has to be on a firm flat surface, which means I cannot test it out on my slatted bedframe, so of course, I buy the base! To test out the bed before I commit! When you see a line that says you can return the bed, you would assume it means the whole bed, but you would be wrong.

    But don’t worry; they are so helpful as to tell you that after the delivery people modify the base (yet another $199 rip-off) that you will be able to use it with any mattress. Just what you want right, a $2100 basic metal bed frame!?! They will tell you some BS story about why they cannot take the bed frame back, but it is just that, BS! I am now stuck with this stupid bed base which is ridiculously heavy and now useless, I am out $2100, and I have no bed because Sleep Number stole my money.

    The delivery of our Sleep by Number bed was carried out in a very professional and friendly manner. The delivery team was on time introduced themselves and asked to see the location for the bed.     This is the second replacement mattress we received in less than a year. The staff has been very helpful, but, the product seems to be breaking down. When it works the mattress is very comfortable but it seems to me the pump should automatically keep the pressure at my favorite level. It doesn’t. I go to bed with it at 95 and wake up with it at 35.

    I've had my Sleep Number bed (i8 Split King) for a few years now and I'm pretty happy with it. We recently moved and the movers totally messed up the bed when they reassembled it (despite their assurances they had a lot of experience with Sleep Number beds). As a result, I had to contact Sleep Number to have technicians come out. At that time I also noticed what appeared to be a broken zipper on the duvet cover. So Sleep Number sent out some technicians (for a fee which is OK) to fix the bed and they also sold me a new duvet cover for several hundred dollars.

    The technicians showed up on schedule and fixed the bed. However, it was noted that the duvet zipper was not broken and the new one was unneeded. I attempted to return the cover to Sleep Number but was reminded that it was non-returnable due to company policy. I pointed out the fact that the new duvet cover had never been removed from the shipping box and was in fact, still new. Sleep Number refused to budge and would not allow me to return the duvet cover so I'm stuck with a duvet cover I can't use. I'm done with Sleep Number simply due to its company policy.

    Our split top bed is not holding together at the split. It keeps separating more and more. They state that 6" is a normal split separating the mattress from the top. With that amount you can fit a pillow between there. It found though the beds in the stores displayed are touching one another where the split is, there is no gap and they leave the part out then in time it will start to separate. We can't even lay in the middle of the bed or your head falls in the gap. The sheets are super expensive and they do not last. Warranty is 2 yrs and they state that the standard to replace sheets is 2 yrs but also the standard states that if your sheets are great quality and taken care of that they should last 8-10 years. I don't know anyone that rebuys sheets every 2 years. This is just the companies way of taking more of your money.

    My bed broke, It has been over two months. Countless phone calls and techs showed up. Still broke. We have done everything Sleep Number has suggested. We were told the tech would be out with everything to fix the bed, They did not do anything. My bed leaks approx 2 lbs per min. We were sent a new pump, now both sides leak, I do not suggest buying one of these beds. I tell everyone I an the trouble I have had trying to get this bed fixed. I get being patient. We have...     Never buy a Sleep Number bed. Ours has broken after only 4 years, and after speaking with the warranty center for three days straight, they say it will still cost us hundreds of dollars to order the replacement part, even after the warranty covers 64%. This is a predatory practice of marking up what should be a simple $50 part, just because they are the only ones who can provide the one that fits the bed exactly. We are throwing out the rest of the bed, which is stuck deflated and unusable, and buying a normal mattress from a less predatory company.

    I owned my first Sleep Number bed for about 16 years and was very happy! So we decided to purchase a new i-8 360 half split. For the first month we were happy and then this issues started. First the bed started to separate in the middle and bulge out on my side. The bed became more and more uncomfortable. We contacted sleep number and would get solutions that didn’t work. They finally sent out a new mattress cover, after we had to call back because they didn’t finish the complaint! It helped some with the middle separating and helped with the side bulge for a little while. We also put a regular fitted sheet on to try and help, it didn’t help either.

    Now the bulge is hanging over the bed 3 1/2” and my wife's side is setting lower than my side and hers is set at 65 and my side is set at 50. We spent almost $10,000 on this bed and have been very unhappy. Sad thing is I went camping last weekend and sleep on a $40 air mattress and slept better on it than I have on my sleep number. Only had this bed for almost 2 years and have buyers remorse.

    I have had my split King for 5 yrs and one side will no longer stay on the movable platform. This leaves a large opening in the center between the two mattresses. Many things fall through this space such as remote control both the TV and the bed, and sometimes the dog. I have called for help and was told to check the alligator clips that hold the mattress cover to movable frame. They have ripped through the mattress cover so no longer holding the bed in place. The warranty covers 60% of the cost at this point, so the cover cost to me is $503 which I feel is exorbitant for the poor quality of the product. I have always liked the bed for comfort and recommended it to many people. But this poor quality aspect and the high cost of replacement is disturbing.

    My first night was disappointing. I ordered my bed, pillows and Mattress pad all at once. Received the bed but I couldn’t have a complete experience because I have not received my pillows or my mattress pad. At the time of sale I was led to believe the pillows are important part of a good night's sleep so I should’ve received the pillows at least by the time I received my bed.

    I had a Sleep Number bed that I’ve used for 11 years. I received an advertisement in the mail. When I called in I was told all these wonderful things about the new sleep number mattresses. I believe I was deceived by the seller. I have slipped on the Sleep number bed and I’m less comfortable than I was on my Original Sleep number bed. I would like to have my old bed back.     No lie and hype but this is so far the best bed I have had. Super comfortable and does not sleep hot. One word of advice to anyone who is thinking of purchasing an adjustable base, make sure it will fit up your stairs, if your bed is going to be on the upper floor of your house. On delivery day to our demise the adjustable base was not going to fit. Thankfully the Sleep Number delivery guys and customer service were there to rescue me. We have had everything now set up and in place for almost two weeks and are loving the new bed. I think this was a good investment. Good job to Sleep Number and their team.

    Sales staff was great. Thought we were getting a great bed. Eight months the bed worked fine now the remote loses connection every night and I have to unplug the bed (reboot) to get it to work again. This has been going on for 4 months. Now the technician has had the parts for over a week with no contact. I keep calling to get an update and I get "I'm sorry". Well when you are stuck in the upright position in the middle of the night or you wake up and your spouse is on the couch because she didn't want to wake you up "I'm sorry" is getting real old!!! Right now the bed is under warranty but I can't imagine how much this is going to cost me when the warranty runs out. This bed was supposed to be one that last for a long time but I don't see this bed sticking around very long with the problems we have already had. FYI we bought a high end model.

    Updated on 10/21/2019: I wrote a previous review regarding continued problems with P5 right chamber deflation. Over the past 4 years the problem has continued with replacement of the chamber twice and the compressor once. After writing that review I was contacted via e-mail by Customer Service. I was asked to call them regarding the issue. Again, all we do is go around in circles.

    In order to test the problem I would have to pull the bed apart, reverse the hoses, and see if the problem still exists. Since I cannot perform this Herculean feat by myself (I am a senior citizen with a bad back - the reason I purchased this bed in the first place) they tell me it would cost me $199 to send a technician. Then, no doubt, when they decipher the problem it would cost me more money to replace either the chamber or the compressor. What a crock! This whole system is utterly ridiculous. Not happy with any of this. I would never recommend this product since it has been defective from the time it arrived. Customer service is a joke!

    Original Review: Purchased P5 system in June 2015. Have had nothing but repeated problems with deflation of the right chamber. Had it replaced twice, the compressor once, and now it's happening again. Very disappointed. Bought this product because of a back problem. Constant deflation does not help but makes it worse. Because it is now over 4 years old I am expected to pay over $140 for a new chamber. I don't think that will alleviate the problem since replacing the chamber twice already hasn't worked over the long haul. I can only believe that this particular system is defective and I see no reason why I would have to pay to replace the chamber for another defective product. I would never recommend this to anyone.

    Sleep Number is a joke. A scam. Do not buy from them!!!! First of all we get our bed delivered and we are told it will take up to 2 hours for set up. It took 15 minutes for them to blow up the air mattress and put the layers on and that was that. Sleep Number is NOT a mattress. It shouldn't even be considered a bed! We were told we have up to 100 nights to return the bed and now we are told we can't return the bed for 30 days. They are even trying to charge us $200 plus tax for the delivery and $200 plus tax to pick it up. I told them I will come bring it to the store and they say no that's not an option. That the stores don't even carry their own products! If you want a Sleep Number bed just go to Walmart and buy a $50 blow up mattress. It's the same thing! If you adjust one side firm and one side soft it will be all uneven and 2 people will just roll onto each other. I would rather sleep on the couch for the rest of my life!

    Updated on 10/18/2019: The Sleep Number customer care department added a response to my bad review the other night. "We are sorry you had a bad experience, please call a different number to see if we can make it better." with a number and a name. I called the number, it is the same number to call for any inquiry. Then when I finally get a person on the phone they are completely unaware of this person that responded, Aaron ** nor is there any info on my account about this. So I am still in the same situation waiting for another repair a month from now and still sleeping miserably. They just wanted to try to make the review look like they are taking care of customers. Nope.

    Original Review: I had a Sleep Number bed for probably 6+ years before my divorce. I loved it. So I purchased another one since I have remarried and paid almost $8000.00 for a nice one. Big mistake and waste of money. I have not been happy since my purchase in January. During the 100 days the store associate would say adjust this and that and it will get better. Give it more time and turn this off or try this. To change mattress we were stuck with the frame we bought so it made no sense to just change the mattress cause "this was the best". We sleep in a trench every night. That is if my husband even sleeps in the bed. He usually sleeps better on the couch.

    They have come out and replaced hoses. Which two guys came out looking like one was searching our home for what he could steal. Seemed like he was on something. We still inflate and deflate during the night even though the responsive air has been turned off since the first month. Now we have to wait a month for them to come and replace pump and air chambers. We are ready to throw this mattress out and get one from big lots which will be more comfortable. It is terrible that we have to pay this much money and I have to go to a chiropractor every other week and my husband now has shoulder and back problems. Do not waste your hard earned money on this.

    I was over charged $368.86. The customer service rep said it was a wrong charge and it would take 90 days to fall off. This is unacceptable so I asked to be transferred to a supervisor who was extremely unhelpful and refused to acknowledge they double charged me for my bedding items. At one point I was even hung up on. I wish I had never bought this bed. Also our app doesn't work correctly. At set up they couldn't help me fix it. Very frustrating.

    This is the MOST OVERRATED mattress. Don't let the commercials fool you. You are buying essentially a blow up air mattress, where you get to control how much air is going into it. This is the most wasted $3k I have EVER spent on something. You would probably sleep better on a $40 air mattress that you can buy at the store. Within the first year we had to have the air chamber replaced. When the bed started losing air AGAIN a year later, we found out that our awesome warranty that was sold, depreciates with time - so you're sold a "20 year warranty" but what they fail to tell you is that it depreciates after the first 2 years. They want me to pay for ANOTHER air chamber - GIVE ME A BREAK. This bed has been nothing but a problem since we bought it. I've slept better on a $200 mattress from Walmart that showed up in a box!

    I purchased my 2nd Sleep Number bed last November. This past Spring I received a mailer that said stop by your local Sleep Number store and see if you won a prize. I happened to be near my Sleep Number store within the time frame of the promotion and remembered that I had the mailer in my car, went into the store, and found out that I had "won" a knee pillow. Said Knee pillow never came. I stopped by when I was in the area again to inquire about the knee pillow, and the salespeople said that they would take care of it. Then I was in the area again a month or so later, and they said that I might have to contact customer service, but then said that they would take care of it. I don't have a lot of faith in your promotions. I'm enjoying my bed, but annoyed with this experience.

    I bought an I8 with SleepIQ in 2015 and paid the $179.99 to have it installed. I have never been a real fan of the bed because to me it sleeps just as good as regular mattress but cost 3-4 times as much, but I have always said that at least I do have a good warranty with the bed so that made me feel better about paying so much for a bed.

    Then a few days ago I started having trouble with the bed deflating while I was sleeping on it. I pulled the bed out and checked everything I could, like the website said to, and I found nothing obviously wrong with it. The next day I got online and chatted with a CS Rep and he told me to switch the hoses and see if the air leak switched and if it did it was the pump but if it didn't it was the mattress. I did as he said and the leaking switched sides. I logged back on today and started chatting with another Rep and told him everything that happened. He asked me for all of my information and I gave him everything but I was beyond surprised when he told me to have a new pump sent it was going to cost an additional $129.30. So that means I paid $3700 for a bed, $180 to have it installed, and I have had it for a little over 4 years now and it is going to cost me another $130.

    I am the only one sleeping on this mattress so it is not like the pump is used but maybe 2-3 times a week and the equipment I paid a fortune for will not even last 5 years?! That is absolutely ridiculous. Paying that much for a bed I expect it to last for years, at least 7-10, before it breaks. It just served to solidify my feeling that the beds are not worth the price. I can only imagine what one of the air chambers is going to cost me when it pops. There is nothing you are going to get here but an overpriced mattress. Save three grand and just buy a nice regular mattress. The warranties on those are better anyways.

    We had a Sleep Number bed and liked it, so we purchased another one in Florida. This is our third Sleep Number bed in 10 years and we still have all of them as functioning beds. We love them so much that we wanted the king-size. We moved a queen-size one to a guestroom and purchased a king-size bed and box frame. The team that came out did well. They set it all up and explained to us the remote being in-sync with the internet. They also downloaded the app on the phone.     I purchased a Sleep Number to get a better night’s sleep. We figured out what we wanted pretty quick, so it wasn’t a complicated process. We went with the one that's partially split at the top, and the delivery was fine. The only thing they didn’t do is they didn’t ask us what height we would want the bed at. I used a floor jack for a car to raise it up so I can adjust the legs and lower the bed because my wife is short. Also, the remote is lacking in user-friendliness. Everything today is a little bit more modern, and the remote is pretty bulky. It’s suggested that you return your Sleep Number to 100 every morning, so a single button push would be awesome.

    I love your beds, but could you please make it possible to buy split king fitted sheets for your mattresses without having to purchase complete sheet sets? I use duvet covers as my top sheets, so I have no need to buy top sheets. Yet, both times when I have purchased replacement fitted sheets, I am forced to purchase your sheet sets with flat sheets and pillowcases which I have no use for. This is wasteful, expensive and counter to sustainability practices.

    Dissatisfied with your product and disappointing experience with the return. Your Sleep store personnel are not trained to explain the cost associated with the return of your product should it not meet expectations. Or maybe they are trained to not make mention and allow the customer to find out the hard way. Either way, you have lost a customer and gained a person who WILL NOT recommend your product to anyone. Your competition does stand by their claim of a FREE trial. You should look into this also versus subsidizing your brick and mortar stores with customer delivery charges.

    We purchased a split king mattress approximately one month ago and the store and salesman were great. However, the delivery guys that came were subpar and had little to no personality. They did not do a good job with the set up. They installed the bed and left it 10 inches from the headboard which then allowed our pillows to fall thru when sleeping. And unbeknownst to me at the time, they also did not do a good job setting up the base. After sleeping on the mattress and dealing with a lot of pain due to the plush top, we decided it was not good for us and opted to get a different one. It took them three weeks to bring the new one, which was ridiculous.

    Let me state that my husband and I are both disabled but he is a paraplegic and obviously permanently in a wheelchair. The whole reason we went with a Sleep Number bed is that he needs a firm bed and one that he can adjust to assist him with turning over, as well as transferring from the bed to his chair. So we both slept in pain due to the softness of the mattress while waiting for a new bed. When the day finally arrived for them to deliver the new bed, this pair of delivery guys were AWESOME! Like night and day compared to the other two.

    Previously when I contacted customer service to exchange the mattress they informed me it would be just the mattress, yet they sent a whole new base which was not necessary. The driver got on the phone with his boss who then told me he had to contact corporate to deal with the extra base so as there would be no mess up on my bill as he indicated could likely happen. After finally getting that straightened out, the guys started the exchange and then found the mess the first crew made. They discovered that the bed should have never been left 10 inches from the headboard, and the legs at the top of the bed were sitting on my original bed frame and were not touching the floor, and they had left the air hoses just lying on the floor. This new crew promptly got to work to fix the poor install.

    Then when they were testing the bed and using the remote, they found it was programmed to a split king and would only raise each side of the bed which obviously would not work for a solid mattress. They called in to get help on how to fix it and was told to disconnect the bed and let it reset, which did not work. Then the man on the phone told them the bed needed a new motor and they would have to order it. The installer asked to have IT call him. Within minutes IT called and gave Dwight (installer) a walk thru on reprogramming the remote which then worked perfectly, so we didn't need a new motor. Due to a heavy delivery load the crew did not get to my home until 7:00 PM and because of the "mess" that they had to fix, those poor guys didn't leave until 9:30 PM! I felt so bad for them but was incredibly thankful for them, and their great service and integrity.

    We slept on the new mattress for two nights and were very pleased with it. But on the morning after (9/26/19) my husband woke up and went to transfer from the bed to his chair and did not realize the mattress had deflated. And when in motion, and having no support from the bed, he landed on the wheel of his chair and almost fell to the floor. And in his physical state, landing on the wheel as he did could have caused a wound or broken his hip which could have been a death sentence for him due to his injury.

    I immediately got on the phone thru chat as the office was closed to speak to someone and reported the incident including what happened to my husband. The chat employee indicated I had to do troubleshooting before SN would consider coming out of which I informed him was not possible with our disabilities. He looked to schedule me an appointment and informed me it would be some time in Oct. but that he was contacting another department to see if they could speed up the service call. He promised to contact me back via email with a date, which he did but the service date was not until October 3rd!

    This is completely unacceptable! Your company should have an emergency crew for people with severe disabilities, such as my husband's, to correct an issue such as this. So my husband has had to sleep on an almost flat bed as we have no other bed for him to access! I don't know if the issue is in the base or the mattress but the base is only a month old and the mattress 2 days old. Needless to say I am highly dissatisfied with your product and your service. If something had happened to him, or does happen, from the fault of your product, you are leaving yourself wide open to a lawsuit! I will be posting this information on the website of the Better Business Bureau, Yelp, and any other outlet I can if something is not done to compensate us for the hardship we have had to endure, and the problem corrected.

    Our Sleep Number delivery was scheduled for 9/24/19. Sleep Number had to cancel the delivery due to their truck breaking down. Delivery was rescheduled for the next day but my husband told them it would have to be in the morning since he had already taken off work one day. They agreed and noted it in the computer. My husband waited all morning on 9/26 and they did not come. He called and was told that they could see where a morning delivery was noted in the computer but that they had scheduled it for the afternoon anyway. They told him it will now be 10/9/19 before we can get our mattress.

    This is completely unacceptable as both scheduled delivery errors were caused by Sleep Number and required my husband to miss two days of work and our daughter to be displaced from her bedroom for the next 12 days due to it already being prepared for the new mattress arrival. We have left multiple messages for Rhonda to get the delivery date moved up since it is Sleep Number’s errors that have caused the delay or requested that our order be cancelled so that we can purchase something else, but have not received any response. We are extremely dissatisfied with our experience!

    The 120 night 'free' trail they promote is a gimmick that took me long time and aggravation to finally get my refund, with a 're-stocking' fee. I had to threaten to get my attorney involved. Each customer service person is trained to use certain words against you like, 'I thought my bed was under warranty', they answer 'your bed is under warranty but not the base you purchased with it to make the bed work'.

    No retail consumer should be mislead as if I am purchasing from a company outside of the USA. This company uses every trick in the book to make you think you must keep your $7000.00 Sleep Number bed when you don't! I also knew upon delivery that this adjustable bed would not fit inside my fitted platform bed frame, I was assured by the delivery man that if I purchased bed feet raisers, the bed would fit. They didn't have it on hand, I had to pay more for it and wait for it before I could determine if the bed would even fit. To then later find out, the adjustable base was NONrefundable. DON'T believe the million dollar marketing this company does. Why don't they have any google review pages set up???? I wonder!!!

Then another $199.00 plus cost of part to come back and install whatever part is needed. COMPLETE RIPOFF WITH UNREASONABLY HIGH SERVICE CHARGES AND RIDICULOUS WAIT TIME FOR SERVICE. Anyone thinking about buying from this company should know that there is no meaningful or reasonable customer service for the products it sells. Obviously the lowest of priorities.     I enjoyed the first Sleep Number, which is a little more standard of the bed prior to this second Sleep Number. But my wife has had some back surgery and she needed to maximize her comfort. So I got a 360 as my second one. But when I first got it, some things had to be troubleshot. Sleep Number outsources their 360 frame, the construction and maintenance of it, to another company. In other words, it’s an OEM of the product.

    The Sleep Number tech support would hand me off to the other company, and their tech support. So, you get into bouncing between the two going, “Well, it doesn’t look like our problem. It must be their problem.” That was a little frustrating, but they got to it pretty fast. I had a very good experience with the delivery crew at first. But they had to come back and repair something. The bed is pretty complex and it was some of the issues that the guy came back for were beyond his understanding of the product. But overall, Sleep Number has excellent quality.

    People lose enough sleep over problems in the world -- so nice not to have a problem with what I'm going to be sleeping on! I called, told them the problem and voila! Within just a week, I had the replacement. Understand, I have back and hip issues & an extremely limited income. I tell people, this bed is worth literally saving up your pennies for. Not only because it relieves pressure points and you can change your firmness for different sleep or sitting up positions, or even fitness levels (more muscle tone after PT can make your comfort setting change) and with this you don't need to waste time trying to make a too soft bed work with boards, or a too hard one work with foam. Those things never actually work. This does. Press a button. Done.

    On top of all that -- this ease of service on problems? There is NO buyer's remorse. With my budget, it was truly a terrifying amount of money to think of spending, but the most fully satisfactory expensive item I've ever bought in my whole life so far. (I have hopes, maybe the Sleep Number experience will rub off on other companies as top executives buying beds realize, gosh, great product with great service CAN be done...)

    We were happy with our first Sleep Number, but it wasn't enough. It was the basic one and it was beginning to sag. In order to pop it back up, there was gonna be a $200 charge to get a different cover. We knew we needed an upgrade and decided to go to the store and get another one. We like it and are happy with it. I find it to be a very user-friendly bed that is not cost-prohibitive, but for me, it's a little bit higher than it should be. I'm not that young and while I don't have any problems now, in another 10 years, I might have problems climbing in the bed. The foam is holding up pretty well though. Plus our settings are fine. I have referred Sleep Number to other people.

    Sleep Number 360 seriously injured my Disabled son. June 8th your bed was delivered for my disabled son. From day 1 the bed had a mind of its own, inclining and falling flat all by itself. After many calls and always saying you don't send technicians out and it's not your problem. Bolts would fall out and wires would unhook. Finally my son got seriously injured trying to reconnect a wire and the bed fell on him pinning and trapping him by his chest. Thank God we were home, who knows how long he could of been trapped. But my answer from Sleep Number was, "It's not our bed, not our problem, but we'll give you a free pillow, and no we don't exchange beds once they are in your home. That option is no longer there". It will take 6 months for my son to heal and has constant pain.

    We liked the adjustability of Sleep Number and the warranty, too. Their salesmen were very good. They were good at answering our questions. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have bought the product. So far, Megan hasn’t complained about it. She likes it and she’s recommended a couple of her friends. One of them actually bought it.

    Megan was happy with the product. She was happy with the salespeople. She wanted to attach the headboard that came with the old bed set that she had. And when she bought the mattress, the bracket that needed to be attached was a separate purchase and that wasn’t communicated to her. Then when she ordered the bracket to hook it up to her bedframe, it didn’t fit. Things didn’t line up. Maybe she should have asked, but we’re spending around $3,000 on a bed and have to fork out another $50 for a bracket that I thought should have come with the bed. Still, overall, it was a positive experience.

    This is our second Sleep Number bed in our 32 years of marriage. We started with a conventional full bed, then a Queen water bed, then an off-brand King air bed (that lost its air on my side every night), then a King conventional mattress and finally our first Sleep Number King about 10-11 years ago. My wife is 5’2” and 130 lbs. I’m 6’4” and 350 pounds, on a good day! Quite the difference in size. Our first Sleep Number was the first bed that I could turn over in and not wake my wife. It has held up flawlessly and has never lost air on my side. It has been quite comfortable for both of us.

    We decided to purchase our new bed due to some health issues for both of us. My wife just had a cervical fusion and also has some vertebrae fused in her lumbar region and doesn’t sleep well, normally. She also watches TV in bed some days. I have some issues where I need to elevate my feet. There seemed to be a very good sale on the iLE mattress, so we decided to buy the split California King with the Flexfit 2 adjustable base. We can independently adjust our heads and feet, so both of us are comfortable. My wife has been using the Zero G setting and is sleeping better than she has in years. I find the bed to be very comfortable.

    We recommend Sleep Number beds to our friends and relatives regularly. They are expensive, but all of the literature speaks to the importance of sleep in healing! If you are going to spend a quarter to a third of your life in bed, wouldn’t you like to be comfortable? We spent multiple thousands of dollars on the first four beds in our marriage. They lasted us 20-22 years. Our first Sleep Number has lasted 10-11 years and is in our guest room, where I expect it to serve us well for years. Our new bed has a 25 year warranty. I hope to outlive that warranty, but I will be in my early 80’s by then. I’m not sure why anyone would buy another brand?

    We’ve had Sleep Number for about 12 years, and we're now on to our second one. My husband likes the firmer mattress than I do, which was what we started with. Then, when we purchased our new one, we wanted to make sure that we had the flexibility of getting the feet up and down now that we’re becoming of age and we relax and watch TV in bed. The rep was very informative and helped us make a good, educated decision on which one to buy. The guy who came here for the delivery was also very informative of what we should do to make the bed and work the bed. They were able to do everything I needed them to do.

    The quality of the Sleep Number is great and the mechanism that makes it come up and down works fine too. Our puppy got under there and chewed on some of the wires but my husband was able to put it back together with no issues. So, it’s very nicely made. We love our Sleep Number, and we told a couple of friends about it when they were looking for a new mattress. They eventually bought one as well and thanked us very much. We had a special phone call with them just to go over some of the things that we’ve liked with our bed.

    FIRST TIME REVIEWING ANYTHING ONLINE EVER. IT'S THAT BAD. We have had our Select Comfort mattress for some time now and we have never been happy with it. I've contacted the company several times concerning a huge gap that divides the two sides of the mattress. This gap is 7' wide at the top and 3" at the base of our mattress. Before buying this mattress, ask yourself if you are ok falling into a huge gap in the middle of your bed if you get anywhere near the middle. The fine people at SC "customer service" told me that many people buy a foam insert to fill in the gap. WHAT? Plug a hole in a $5,700 mattress with foam. SMH. For a mattress with the price of a used car I expected better.

    Delivery window 8-11am. Arrived 10:56am. I was on a work call, and the technicians set up the bed, made my daughter-in-law sign something and they left at 12:05pm without me knowing anything. Bed doesn't work, remotes say "connectivity error." Customer service tells me they will have the delivery techs come back out when they wrap up the current install before they go to the other 2 stops. Delivery driver, Brandon (very rude), calls me to tell me that he isn't coming back out until he gets all of the other customers delivered today.

    Customer service puts Supervisor Bret on the phone and has me attempt to "troubleshoot" why the remotes aren't talking to the bed. During this process, I'm asked to lift the mattress and adjustable frame to plug in the pump, but when I put my hand under the mattress to find the magnet, I realize feel a tear in the cover around the magnet at the head of the bed. Bret informs me that the delivery techs cannot come back out today because of rules & regulations dealing with truckdrivers, and that the delivery folks will NOT be coming back out today to get the bed working. I told them to come get the bed and I'd go another route, but then they tell me that they can return the mattresses and adjustable bed stand, but NOT the headboard and frame since that is a custom order. GOTCHA!

    So, I'm now at their mercy to wait longer. They are placing an order for a replacement cover and another order for another set of delivery guys to come out and get the bed working. I've waited 6 weeks for this, and now we wait another 2 weeks for it to be correct, AND we have a split king bed that cannot be adjusted for two more weeks. I have back issues, which prompted this purchase in the beginning, and now cannot sleep in my bed for the next 2 weeks. I had planned on purchasing 2 more of these for our lakehouse, pretty sure that will not happen. This has been the worst furniture delivery/setup experience I've ever had, and for $12,000....you think you'd get better service.

    I had their bed that they say is the last bed you will ever purchase, for less than a year and one of the air chambers leaks. Even though they claim you have a 25-year warranty (for the record the replacement chamber was covered under the warranty at no charge) labor is NOT covered. Therefore, if anything go wrong with bed and it is “internal” labor is not covered. Are you kidding me; according to their salespeople, this is the most advanced and durable bed ever made. No need to flip a mattress ever again. No need to buy a new best for the next 25 years. Lies, when something happens you need to pay $199.00 extra. Of course, like the bait and switch company, they seem to be, keep complaining and they will reduces the cost. After three chat sessions and a call to customer service, I had to pay $53.00. Great Bed but beware of the company!!!!

    My complaint is about Sleep Number Beds and Deceptive Sales tactics. You go into the store where they are so nice and helpful you try all the beds and get to the cash register where they get other employees to distract you while signing. They get you to initial the area that says the base is non-returnable, by saying and circling at the same time that you have a 30 day trial and saying a date so that date is in your head and it's the wrong date so you are late calling to Simply return it. Yes I am a idiot for not reading it but there should be a law against being deceptive. They kept telling me to call. To Simply return it on the 19th saying, "You get 10 days extra cause the time starts when you receive the bed." But that is not true. I bought the bed on the 9th of March. On the 5th of April I called to have the bed returned, and was then informed I just barely made the return date, and on the 3rd page 4th paragraph where it says the base is non- returnable.

    I have dispute the charge to no avail. They said they side with the merchant since I signed it. But first and foremost I did not sleep well at all on this bed. Could not find a comfortable position the whole time I had it. Now the base is leaning against the wall and I had a friend give me a bed that I can actually sleep in. Please if there is anything you can do to help people like me that in good faith are deceived, by merchants that bury their deception on page 3 paragraph 4.

    Unless you currently sleep on the floor, this bed will not be an upgrade. Was in a rush when purchasing and was told several times the bed could be returned. Paid over $11K. Come to find out, only the mattress can be returned. Wrong bed initially delivered, which was like a brick. Foot warmer was missing and took two weeks correct mattress. I got the top of the line mattress they carry and might as well purchased an air mattress, which is the equivalent of a Sleep Number mattress. My wife and I couldn't have been happier when they picked the bed up, except we were told they wouldn't move the old mattress back in place. Terrible company & horrible customer service. You would think paying $4K for the base and $7K for the mattress, they would do whatever necessary to make the customer happy- COMPLETELY NOT THE CASE!

So far, I like the older style better because it's soft, and it will get hard but then I still got that little softness. I just unzip it and remove the foam around it. For the newer one, I put a two-inch foam on top of it. The only problem I've had was when I blew out six of the controllers for one of the beds three times. I got a surge of power from lightning and everything went nuts. It fried the circuit board. The control is underneath it and I gotta buy the whole control 'cause they won't sell the circuit board. It's $300 each for the motor. But I finally put a circuit breaker in the house.

    We’ve had Sleep Number for about 12 years. We started off with one in our motor home, and then we got one for the house, and then we upgraded it. The bed arrived on time, and the guys came out and took care of it. They were very professional and very good. We have the California King, and from sitting on the edge of it, the mattress kind of separated. We didn’t realize that we were supposed to pump it up. We called it in and they got somebody that came out to look at it, and ordered us a new foam thing that goes around on the side. So we’re getting that replaced. We have recommended the Sleep Number to others. With the original mattress that we had, I would wake up almost every morning and my back would be killing me. But since we’ve had the Sleep Number bed, I don’t think I’ve ever woken up with a back pain. It’s made a total difference.

    I called to inquire about my refund on 5 different occasions and was given different information during each call. Initially mailed 8th, then 15th, then 12th and today again I was told the 8th. Each time I asked for facts instead of speculation based on Company Practice and I was assured the information was accurate. Obviously it was not. During my call earlier this week I spoke to a Supervisor who told me she had pulled specific documents and confirmed the refund was mailed on the 12th which contradicts what I was told today, it was mailed on the 8th. Sleep Number boasts that refunds are gladly given when customers are dissatisfied with their product. That has not been my experience.

    In Instances when a company has received multiple calls from a customer expressing dissatisfaction, there should be a process to resolve the concerns immediately and flag multiple calls/concerns from one client in order to better understand and more expediently resolve problems with a process. I am extremely disappointed by my experience with Sleep Number Beds. I have a sleeping disorder but have been unable to purchase a new bed and am sleeping on a sofa because your process did not provide a humanistic application for a human being experiencing a dilemma.

    We purchased our bed less than a month ago. First, you have to pay (no option) for them to come and install the bed. Once the bed finally arrived, the bed was installed incorrectly and the base/box spring was broken. The first night sleeping on the bed, there was a horrible creaking sound in my husband's base, and in the middle of the night, it fell off the frame! Their phone customer service is BEYOND useless and had the biggest attitude problems I have ever encountered. I had to go into the store (which they are wonderful) and they placed an order for a replacement base.

    Two nice men showed up 2 weeks later with 2 new bases and installed them. No more creaking- problem fixed... or so we thought. That first night I noticed my side not being able to hold a number and it kept pumping up more than usual. This morning (4 days later), I woke up to a completely flat bed. When I tried to pump it up- nothing happened. I lifted the side of the mattress up to notice the entire connector into the air chamber is already cracked and dried out and the valve is no longer connected! The bed is 3 weeks old!!!!

    When I called customer service, they are happy to send me out a new air chamber (as it is clearly under warranty) but it would be here in 10 days. There is a warehouse 45 minutes from my house- I could walk there and back faster! When I asked the customer service rep what I was suppose to do for 10 days before It got here, his comment was "that's not my problem ma'am". I am so beyond disappointed with the bed and their customer service at this point. A $2,000 bed with mandatory $200 instillation should not have these issues! And their customer service should not have this attitude.

    While we have always loved our bed that we bought in 2015 we had to have it moved out of our bedroom while tile was put down. We had to pay $250 each time it was moved. While we thought that was excessive it needed to be done. After they put it back together it never aligned up right again. Trips to the stores just gave us rude customer service or they ignored our complaint. Today I did a chat and still did not resolve the issue and they still want to charge me. They did not have chat back when we had our problem and being deaf and not being able to talk on the phone back then was not easy. I am posting this so that if you ever have a problem with your 25 year warranty don't count on it. They still charge you. I will also be putting in a complaint with the BBB.

    You need the ability to separately adjust both the head and feet as zero G is great but your partner may not want to sleep that way. We wish we had bought separate foot adjustment capability. Work the extra money, as it's not that more. I want sleep in zero G but can only do that for a short time before we have to lower the single foot adjustment.     We purchased out i8 mattress and FlexFit 2 base about a months ago (July 2019). It was great for the first three weeks until the head adjustment portion of the base malfunctioned and is now stuck completely upright rendering our bed useless! It happened on a Sunday so no customer service, but I was able to use the chat function to get some assistance. It took the person over an hour to tell me that he couldn't help me, and that I had to call the manufacturer. It took FOUR days waiting on hold for 30 mins to an hour each day to get a hold of the manufacturer(Leggett and Platt). I had to call at 6 am (when they open), and wait on hold for 30 mins just to talk to someone.

    When I finally got ahold of the company the woman told me she had to contact someone to come out to look at the bed, but since we only used the app and didn't have a remote that she had to send out a remote to them first before they could service my bed, but that someone would be contacting me to set up an appointment. That was five days ago. No call, no service, still have a bed I JUST BOUGHT THAT I CAN'T USE. It's been TEN days with a broken bed and no solution or follow up from the company. I am considering just returning the whole bed and base. At this point it seems like the best solution. So moral of the story is if your bed works it's great, if something goes wrong you're out of luck.

    We convinced our other family members to buy Sleep Number. With our family total, it's our sixth bed. And we decided to buy the new bed because ours was 10 years old. We wanted the new technology that moved. And we’re older now. We just wanted the functionality there, so, we just decided to upgrade. And we were also able to get zero percent.

    Every time I walk into a store, I would say, “I should work here because I can sell your product.” I joke about it, but I do appreciate the product, and it does help. The mattresses are comfortable. I love it. It’s an investment. I already spent $10,000 in a bed. Now, I just spent another $10,000 on a bed. So, I'm spending a lot of money on the product. But in the end I’m finding that all the products that I get from Sleep Number are good products. In the end, you’d be happy with whatever you got. I’ve never had a bad experience with their reps. When I go to the store, it’s fun. We enjoy going in there because we joke over, like we look up our account, and they're like, “Oh wow.” It’s like we buy everything. I’ve had my pillows from there. I enjoy the associates. They're fun.

    The delivery people are always very helpful. I was out of town when this last bed came. But my husband was here, and he said they took the old bed down, they put it up in the other room, and then, they put the new bed up. So, I have zero complaints. Whenever I need something, I just can’t go into the store and get it, necessarily. I can normally get a blanket, but with a remote or bigger things, I have to call customer service and that’s fine. But then, it’s two weeks for things to get delivered our way. I understand it’s probably their business model, but that delivery time frame is very long for just something simple as a remote.

    We purchased the bed and then had to wait over a month for a Saturday delivery. The bed was delivered two hours after the last delivery window time. The two technicians that showed up basically didn’t know where they were. The headboard brackets were never attached to the bed. Call the 800 Number and was instructed on how to do that myself. We will have to take the bed apart just to add the brackets since the bed. It’s obvious it was not because we’re not late. I have called and chatted I requested a technician come back out since this is happening with the three days and I basically told here is your troubleshooting tips. I will never recommend this product anyone. The customer service reps are just reading script and if you’re lucky you may find someone willing to help you. Other than that they deliver the bed you’re stuck with it.

    So I bought my i8 in 2014. Getting into bed at 10:00 one night 2019 and my wife went to adjust her setting. Seldom touches her side. The unit stopped working. Support is closed, but online chat is open. 1.5 hours later - need to buy a new pump and takes 5 to 7 days. They were helpful, but no parts in stock to the next day makes no sense. So keep in mind they are there to help, but the pump is not covered and is 75.00 and takes a week with no mattress. Do you want to invest in technology and have no bed?

    Our P6 Sleep Number bed was purchased in May of 2015. On Sunday, 8/11/2019 my side of the bed lost all air. When I tried to inflate the bed the pump just made a clicking sound. The pump had stopped working. We were unable to call customer service that day as they are only open Monday through Friday. At 8:00AM Monday I called customer service only to get the recording that they were closed and would be open at 8:00AM, which it was! I continued to call numerous times until finally after 9:00AM a service rep. answered. This first service rep. had an attitude and was not helpful. The second service rep. who seemed much more knowledgeable ordered a new, pro-rated pump. She said it would be shipped via UPS Next Day Air and that we would have it Tuesday. She said to check my email where I could track the shipment.

    I check Tuesday several times and it showed that there was “no tracking for this item”. I then called customer service who told me the pump had shipped but that it could be up to 3 days before I got it. Why wasn’t I told that before? I have arthritis in my lower back and have been sleeping on the couch which has made my back hurt more each day. It seems to me that either you should be able to pick the pump up somewhere local or they should like, overnight mail, actually be able to get it to you next day. I am happy with the bed but based on this poor customer service would no longer recommend it.

    Sleep Number makes good beds and they work. I purchased another bed from them recently and their reps were great. I walked in and their rep said "Hi" and told me his name and Sleep Number. Since I had one, I said "“Hi, I’m Diane and my Sleep Number is 35.” The whole place just cracked up ‘cause there were new people coming in wanting a Sleep Number. That time, I was interested in one of their older models. When I told them that they were more than happy to help me go back through and find the one I wanted. The delivery experience was great too.     Great bed, had a problem with height being paralyzed and short as I am. It isn't easy to get a bed I can sleep on anymore. Staff has been good trying to assist to get one that works.     I had a Sleep Number 15 years ago and I really liked it. Since it was about time for another one, I purchased and had a great experience with their rep. I liked her knowledge and found that she was a very nice person. I purchased a full mattress from them and their delivery guys piled in and got it all set up. Thus far, I like that it is adjustable. Some days I don't feel like I want a firmer mattress or a softer mattress. I can adjust my Sleep Number the way I want it. It lets my whole body soothe out and relax.     We purchased a Sleep Number because of the fact that my husband was whining and complaining every day when he woke up. We got the iLE mattress. We also got beddings, pillows, blankets, etc. The reps are absolutely wonderful. Everybody from the different individuals in the stores as well as the delivery individuals we’ve dealt with was very professional and nice. We sleep a lot better with Sleep Number. I love it.
