    My mattress was ordered on Nov. 28, 2016. Within 24 hours, I received a call to verify my order; to see if I had any questions, and was told that it would take at least 15 business days, and I would hear from the delivery service to set up delivery. On Dec. 2, 2016, I received a call from the delivery service and my mattress was delivered on Dec. 7, 2016. I am amazed at the service I received, both online and over the phone, and the delivery was so smooth and unbelievable! It will be one week since taking delivery, and so far and I am satisfied. Will update this review once I have had at least a month to fully see what I purchased. The service from Saatva is superb!

    Ordering was easy and the follow-up phone call reviewed our order which was good. We received the mattress on December 6 so we have only used it for a couple nights. At this point I am thinking we may have ordered the wrong mattress. It is a Flagship Luxury Firm we may have been better served with the Plush Soft. We may be using the 75 day home trial period and go for an exchange. We will know soon. I think it shouldn't take 75 days.

    This is our second Saatva order in several years, and we have been very pleased in both cases. My only strong suggestion is that you include the height of your frame in the basic material, instead of only within FAQs. This time we are ordering the frame and needed to know its height in order to reckon the total height of the three elements. I found it and then forgot where I found it, and had to look all over your site a second time. Otherwise all has gone fine so far and we look forward to the delivery.

    We received the mattress and foundation in a timely manner, no complaints here. The shipping company which delivered the mattress was on time, although after opening it up we noticed a few holes and grease on the mattress. We can live with this, but, maybe the mattress should've been wrapped a little better, or the shipping company could have been somewhat easier on the merchandise.

    For a company that prides itself on the ease of online ordering, there is an annoying amount of old communication techniques being used. I understand that you have to work with delivery partners but that is no good reason not to have an online order viewer or a way to track or make changes within your website. You have tens of millions in revenue and you are severely lacking compared to other online mattress companies in consumer-facing web tools. As a web developer I know that something better than what you have could be built in a few hundred hours. I should not have to speak to people over the phone for something I ordered online. I hope I am incorrect and I merely cannot find your online tools. Your staff is very kind, but please update your technology for this decade. Excited for the mattress, though!

    Overall the buying experience with Saatva is excellent. Their customer service department is awesome and timely. I had to exchange a Luxury Firm for a FIRM mattress as the Luxury version is decidedly too soft. After a months of use on my first mattress, there was a depression too deep in the top layer to ignore. Saatva replaced the mattress... Amazing. We have taken the precaution on the 2nd go around to use a 2" top foam layer as we don't want to take a chance and it is working well. However, our mattress had to be thrown out due to possible asbestos exposure... So what did we do... Of course bought another mattress, foundation, and frame from Saatva!

    Everything went just the way it was advertised. We received confirmation of our order. We received follow up that it was being manufactured and more follow up when it was completed. The delivery company called and we set up an appointment. The mattress and foundation arrived in the time frame given. They took away our old mattress and box spring as promised. They delivered the exact item that we ordered. No problems at all.

    The mattress and foundation are of high quality and a great value for the price. We have had it for about 2 weeks. We are sleeping better. I am not blown away by this mattress. It is just very good mattress for a very good price with no complications, no haggling and no surprises. We are very happy and we still have about 60 days to return it if we want to.     I had never heard of Saatva before and wanted to learn more. After reading all of the information on the most excellent website I took a chance and started a web chat. The person that I chatted with was professional, polite, and very knowledgeable. His responses to my questions were exactly what I needed to make up my mind as to whether or not I was going to again, "take a chance" and actually commit to ordering a mattress.

    After further study and reading many of the reviews I (actually "we" - my spouse and I) ordered the item (the flagship King).     I ordered the Saatva mattress in soft because of all the great reviews. Initial delivery was a bit difficult, and it was improperly set up as they use local delivery companies who are not actually knowledgeable of the product. I had to move the mattress and fix the frame myself which sort of negated having it set up by delivery people in the first place.

    After 4 weeks and 3 days of sleeping on it I was having horrible back, hip, and shoulder pain. I called to return it and of course they tried to convince me to keep it and offered an extended night trial. I just wanted it gone per their advertising that you can return it if you are unhappy. They tried to make me feel as though my unhappiness with the product was my fault and were quite bullying and constantly reminding me that they are the best reviewed mattress out there and 95% of people are satisfied. I had to repeat myself a number of times before they agreed to the return.

    Then the next day they called me and told me they would refund me $600 and I could resell it myself because it was going to cost them a small fortune to come pick it up. I told them that was unacceptable and I wanted it picked up and fully refunded. I again had to listen to another guilt trip implying it was my fault I was unsatisfied as they are so highly reviewed.

    I finally received an email the next day confirming my return that said I should receive a call from the delivery company to schedule a pick up in 4-7 business days. 7 business days later I called Saatva because I had not heard from any delivery company. The man on the phone told me it can take up to 10 business days but he would contact the delivery company. I then quickly received an email from NVC logistics (apparently the company that oversees Saatva deliveries) that told me the local delivery had left me a couple messages but gave me their number so I could contact them myself since I keep missing their calls. I have had no missed calls and no voice mails from anyone since finally getting Saatva to agree to the return. I did have a couple missed calls from the delivery company when they tried to deliver as I work in the hospital and cannot have my phone on me during my shifts.

    Both Saatva and NVC have been very rude and poor in their customer service. If you know someone who has the mattress and you've tried it then go ahead and buy but be aware delivery service will depend on who they contract in your area. (My bedroom wall was scratched during set-up.) If you want a very hard mattress then even the soft option will work for you. They will do anything to get you to keep your mattress so if you are unsure or want the option of returning DO NOT BUY FROM SAATVA. They will be rude and make it difficult. I very much regret this purchase, and hope to help you avoid this situation.

    My husband and I have bought several mattresses over the past several years and all within 6 months have had a "dip" in the center and we have woken up achy and sore. I found this company after a Google search and tired of sleeping 1/2 the night on the couch and 1/2 on the bed. My husband is a large man (he is 6'6) and we both sleep differently causing us to both sleep poorly. After doing lots of research and reading hundreds of reviews I decided that the queen 14.5 inch FIRM would be our best bet. The delivery was fine and the company was nothing short of amazing!

    Once we got our bed it became clear that both my husband and I made the right choice! We never wanted to get out of bed! No more aching, sore hips, shoulders, and painful lower backs waking us up. We both fall asleep very fast and sleep more soundly. The 14.5" is quite tall but my husband prefers it being so tall. It feels like we are sleeping on a cloud. Rather than sinking into the mattress we feel fully supported. Best investment ever! Highly recommend to anyone who is "settling" or dealing with an okay night's sleep. No dips or creaking or sinking like with our other mattresses.

    I ordered the Luxury Firm but it was way too firm for me. First time I called to see what my options were they suggested a topper to help get the bed broke in and sent me one totally free of charge. For me this did not help so I requested to return it. They immediately refunded my account minus the shipping. I am now waiting for the pick-up to be scheduled. The mattress was not for me but the customer service is exactly as they say. However others stated they received follow-up calls but I have not received any call since the original purchase. The mattress is very attractive but just not for me.

    First of all, I have no problems with the mattress or foundation that we received. It was packaged well and so far, the mattress (Luxury Firm) is supportive but not rock solid. The delivery process was great up until the actual delivery day. I had asked for a 30 minute call ahead so I knew when to be home. I didn't want to wait around during the 4 hour window, so we went somewhere nearby. We got a call from the delivery guy which I missed and when I tried to call back, the delivery guy was inaudible and he hung up. The delivery guy called back shortly afterwards to tell me that they made a mistake in their route and are actually in front of my home. Luckily, I was only about 15 minutes away and I asked them to wait for me until I got home.

    Unknowingly, my in laws were home and took the opportunity to tell the delivery guy to bring the mattress up to the room. I soon got a phone call that someone needed to sign off on the delivery. I arrived just in time to see the delivery guys get in the truck and have the opportunity to ask if everything was ok. They said yes and just drove off. I discovered that the mattress was indeed placed in the room upright, but nothing was set up. I understand there was confusion with my in laws providing different direction, but the delivery guy should have called me to confirmed it was OK to start and waited for me to come home to make sure set up was done properly. If I had gotten my 30 minute call ahead or if they had just waited for me to be home, my delivery experience could have been much different.

    The customer service was great. The communication was a little off as far as on delivery but was handled. We got the first bed and tried it for a while and it was very hard to us and hurting our backs. So contacted customer service and she sent me a mattress pad to try. We did try it and still was uncomfortable. I contacted you guys again and got the mattress exchanged for your softer one. The mattress was delivered and the old one picked up. I have not heard from you guys since that. You would call to ask about satisfaction, but not a word by phone or email since I asked to get a different mattress. Anyway, we even put on the mattress pad and the bed is hurting both our backs and shoulders. I am a chiropractor and this bed is way too firm for proper spinal alignment. I guess we are stuck with the bed and cannot get our money back. I cannot recommend your mattress to others.

    Saatva clearly places great emphasis on customer service. Was great to always have a person (instead of a computer) to guide me through the process. It's also nice that you clearly state that customer satisfaction is paramount. The one area of constructive feedback I'd give is that in my several interactions with customer support (twice through chat on the website and once with my phone call after I purchased), the Saatva reps were incredibly scripted. In the chat, the rep really just restated what was already available online, which made me feel like my individual questions weren't as important. And with the phone call, the rep literally just read a bunch of information and then said "have a nice day." It was awkward, and I think she could have asked if I had any questions before ending the call.     We are less than a month in and already enjoying the comfort of the new bed. My wife has had two lower back surgeries and this mattress has allowed her to finally sleep through the night. Delivery was within two weeks after order and we were kept inform of any status updates. I paid for the old mattress and foundation removal; however, was not informed that this didn't include the existing bed frame.

    The delivery company about left until the frame was taken apart and moved out of the way and they did not take with them. We had the understanding that the existing bed frame was considered part of "foundation" so I feel it should be made known if you purchase that service that you are expected to remove the bed frame. As I mentioned my wife had back surgeries so performing this activity isn't very conducive when trying to move a California King Mattress and Box Springs.

    Three years ago, I needed to buy a new mattress. I began researching TempurPedic, Sleep Number, Beauty Rest, and all the other name brand mattresses. A friend of mine told me about Saatva Mattresses made in the U.S.A. They offered a great trial warranty so how could I lose. I chose the flagship which is one of three degrees of firmness.

    They delivered and installed the mattress and took the old one away. I had been suffering from lower back pain due to an auto accident several years ago.     I was really excited to get this mattress and it was great for about 3 months then my hubby spoke up and said "we need to rotate this mattress, my back is killing me." Now he's not a small man, he is almost 240# so I figured because he's a big guy he's getting the body impression sooner. No biggie, so we rotated it and now I'm in pain! So about a month later now I can't take the pain anymore and we rotate it yet again! It's at this point I see that the quilting thread on the pillow top has started to come out!     A few years back we endured the mattress run-around when purchasing a new mattress. I vowed we would never again endure such an unpleasant experience. We ultimately purchased a Hastens Cal King 2000T. We moved to Florence in Dec 2015 and needed larger mattresses for our guest rooms. I spent the better part of a week researching mattress construction and online companies. I was now an educated consumer and contacted Saatva before purchasing. The responses were always friendly, forthright and accurate. Satisfied that we were dealing with a knowledgeable and reputable company, we purchased a Cal King Luxury Firm 11.5" w split 8.5" box spring. The mattress arrived in about three weeks and was courteously unpacked and installed by the delivery company.

    After airing for 24 hours to allow the packaging plastic odor to dissipate, the missus and I slept on it for a couple of nights, getting excellent sleep. Support is excellent, temperature is ideal and there is ZERO smell. It did not aggravate the missus' back. Since April 1, 2016 we've had guests every two to three weeks. These guests have ranged in age from 19 to 75+. Without fail, EVERY one has said something along the lines of, "That's the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in." We just ordered our 2nd Saatva Luxury Firm. Highly recommended.

    The buying process for the mattress seemed fine. The install crew was very nice. My issue is, I don't sleep well on this mattress. I was out of the country for a while right after I bought it, and when I finally slept on it, it was so hard, it made my shoulders and back ache. I woke up tired and unrested. I thought it was just a new mattress and I would get used to it, but it hasn't improved. Now it seems like the pillow top has compressed down to nothing, and I can feel the springs when I sleep in the middle of the bed. I'm 5'9 and 130lbs, so I don't think it's a body weight issue. I really wanted to like this mattress, I loved that it was made with organic cotton, but I'm so disappointed. It hasn't even lasted a year.

    We are not sure about this mattress. It appears that the company asks for feedback and says it has high ratings based on the initial contact with the company. I have not seen reviews from people who have owned the mattress for a while and I am really unsure how it will last based on my initial impression of the quality. Our delivery folks were going to give us a foundation that was different than what we ordered. Fortunately we noticed and they had the right one in the truck.

    The mattress is soft on the outside edge, something that is not like the quality mattress we looked at in the stores. Also we inquired about whether the mattress top would be hot as we are avoiding those made with heat retaining materials. We were told it would not get hot. However, it does not have the cooling properties of other mattress we looked at and does get warm. We also are not convinced it is even - might be a little softer in the middle but could be our imagination. So we are still debating about whether this was a wise purchase.

They called us today after 12 pm (less than an hour before our delivery window) to say that the mattress now won't be delivered until Thursday. The mattress was not as firm as I thought a medium would be and it sags down so much on the edges that we are unable to even sit on the bed.     My husband and I were very hesitant about ordering off the beaten path *sigh unseen* online and away from the more familiar and heavily advertised mattress.com and its affiliates. But the guarantee was what convinced us (and the amazing reviews). We are supremely impressed in both the professionalism and communication of Saatva.

    The frame has extra supports (we ordered a Queen) and the box spring and mattress are just high quality throughout. For the first time in years I can actually lie on a bed without feeling discomfort or pain after an hour and without needing to lay on all sorts of additional foam support. I am on the heavy side (over 200lbs) and my husband is not (155lbs) We are short in stature (both of us under 5'3") so we use a footstool to climb on (which is not really an issue since we use footstools often for everything lol) but just be aware of the height if you are 5'.     We haven't received our order yet so I can't speak to that part but the ordering experience was very nice. I had a small problem when trying to place my order and while I was writing out an email, Saatva was already calling me to help. No pushing or rushing. No pressure. Just professional yet personable customer service. I hesitate to use that phrase because it was more like having a personal assistant who cares helping. If the three mattresses, foundations, and frames we ordered are as high quality as their customer care people, my family will be sleeping in clouds of comfort once they arrive.     I have spoken with three employees, starting with Rubin, then another salesperson, and finishing today with a woman on the telephone. They have all been exceptionally nice, informative, straightforward, clear, and helpful. My only reservation about recommending Saatva is that it takes so long to get the mattress. I wish Saatva kept some in inventory, rather than manufacturing them only upon receiving the order.

    I was a little skeptical of ordering a mattress online, sight unseen. The reviews were amazing and the price was even better so we did it. This is our second mattress from Saatva. The Soft was comfortable but a bit TOO soft for us. We returned it and the Luxury Firm is so comfortable!! Give it 30 days to break in. We absolutely love this mattress. Everyone from the company has been so helpful. Yes we will order again when our kids need a new mattress! I'm just a happy customer.

    I first bought my Saatva mattress roughly one year ago after I did quite a bit of research. I wanted an organic mattress, and their materials and process seemed excellent. After quite a bit of research, reading reviews and going over products I decided on the Flagship Luxury Firm mattress. I had just moved to a new apartment and was sleeping on an air mattress with little support, so I was relieved to get the confirmation call from the delivery company that they had received my mattress. I was less happy to hear that the mattress would not be delivered for more than ten days, because they had no other deliveries in my area. I told them to send it back; I would go local and get a mattress because there was no way I could continue to sleep on the air mattress.

    Saatva generously agreed to deliver the mattress the next day, which I appreciated. The first thing I noticed about the mattress was that the middle was higher than the sides, which supposedly was normal and would eventually flatten out. It made for about three weeks of uncomfortable sleep. (I’m a back and side sleeper and had to keep wedging a pillow around me to keep from rolling.) Finally I noticed the bed began to flatten out.

    For the first several months, I slept decently, but started to notice a depression in the middle, where I sleep. I had been rotating the bed as per schedule and this last time I noticed it made it better for about three weeks and then I noticed the same sagging. When I am sleeping in the bed, it is sagging much more than 1.5 inches. For the past couple of months I would wake up with my right hip feeling numb, and then about two weeks ago my lower back has become extremely sore and hurting and I have to move around in bed and change positions as I cannot stay comfortable. I have no health problems contributing to this. I finally broke down and bought a Serta Memory Foam mattress topper and last night was the first night I slept on it (not happy as it is very warm) but I did wake with no extreme pain aside from residual soreness from the last few weeks of just sleeping on the mattress.

    I got online this morning and chatted with “Steve” and explained what I was experiencing. He was very nice, but basically quoted me the same information from the FAQs. I realized this wasn’t going anywhere and he offered me a phone number to call the company which I am going to do later this morning. I notice that many of the reviews on this site are about the customer service and not the mattress - it seems a lot of reviews are posted before the customers even have received their mattress. I will post an update after speaking to the company.
