    I have a very strange, old house and the mattress will go in the attic bedroom. The door to the bedroom is only 5' tall, but it's a big room and I'm replacing a king size bed. I wasn't sure if I could "taco" the mattress just to get it into the room (like the movers must have 10 years ago) or if I should order 2 XL twins. After consulting the online chat, we determined the 2 twins would be best so as to preserve the coils/integrity of the mattress. They were a little rough on the edges and were more interested in hurrying to get the mattress in place and leave than anything else.     Ordering our mattress was a wonderful experience. We have nothing but great things to say about this company. However, the delivery company you are using in the area of Madison, Wi has one delivery day and it's on a Tuesday. My husband and I both work on Tuesday. I called them to see if they could give me either a morning or afternoon time and they can't. They'll call us on Monday to give us a better idea. Therefore, one of us has to take a full day off to have a mattress delivered. That added to the cost of our mattress.

    Overall I am pretty happy with the Saatva experience. The website was easy to use, the product arrived quickly and was in excellent condition, and the mattress is great. The only issue I have is with the delivery process. The delivery team was great, but the delivery was not done as originally scheduled. The phone call with a customer service lady the day prior indicated that I was the first delivery of the day, at 11:30. The delivery did not occur until 1:30. As a result, I missed my kid's baseball game, and was sad as I really needed to be there. I tried to contact the delivery service at around 12 when I was getting worried, to check and get a more exact delivery time, but the service was closed. As a result I had nobody to contact and was stuck waiting at home for an unknown period of time.

    The Saatva site was easy to navigate. I went to the site because of the advertisement that I saw in the NYTimes Sunday magazine and then found comparisons and reviews online about Saatva. I used the chat box and also spoke by phone with one of your representatives, Steve **. Steve was excellent: professional, honest, and responsive. The delivery window is an issue for us as we are not currently at the location where the mattress will be delivered and Steve confirmed that we could make it work.     After one week of sleeping on our new (luxury firm) Cal King mattress, we find it to be very comfortable, and we wake up feeling much happier than before -- the mattress definitely deserves a 5-star rating. Regarding the delivery, their timing was good and the driver and his assistant were VERY patient and pleasant. BUT we had indicated in our order and reiterated on the phone that ours is a awkward circular driveway that could NOT handle a very large truck. Unfortunately they came in a big moving truck-sized vehicle. It took great patience on my husband's part and the driver's to negotiate that turn without damaging the landscaping and sprinkler system; if our trees had not been freshly trimmed, they would have been severely damaged. We see from other reviews that the delivery systems you have in place are probably your greatest weakness -- an online company can't afford that!

    After months of research, I decided to order a Saatva mattress. I read many reviews looking for people with back issues comments. The number of reviews was amazing, but more amazing were the number of positive reviews.     Your delivery company delivered the mattress in fine condition, but they wrecked my walls and light fixture trying to move it in and removing the old. They chipped the wall picture frame moulding, scraped the paint on 4 separate walls, all different colors, left black hand prints on another wall and bent my stairwell chandelier. My wife was home at the time and did not notice the extensive damage. 1 or even 2 little wall scratches are expected, but not 4 walls, plus dirty hand prints and my light fixture. I personally moved my last mattress in 2 years ago, without any damage. This is a case of just clear carelessness on their part. Please advise.

    I have also sent you an email. The mattress arrived today during the expected delivery window. The delivery men refused to remove their street shoes before entering the apartment. I asked them to wear plastic over their shoes. This they did. When they took the mattress out of the plastic and put it on our bed frame, I immediately noticed several dirty marks on the side of the mattress. This is unacceptable in a brand new mattress.     The shipping company called Sunday 2/8/16 to say delivery would be the following day between 10:00 - 2:00PM. At 0800 there was a knock on our door for the delivery. No prior call. My wife was home by herself and they woke her up. I had to come home from work to accept the delivery as she was not physically able to. A call in advance would have been nice so we could have been prepared. The driver told me as he was only 5 minutes out he decided not to call. This left a bad taste for us with this delivery service.

    Just a heads up. I was not notified before delivery. The delivery guys couldn't have been nicer. I picked up condoms, wrappers, lube, etc. in front of complete strangers.     Since you are not able to test out the mattress in person, I relied on the Chat Support team to guide my model selection. After stating I was a side sleeper with neck and back issues, the luxury firm was recommended. When I questioned that recommendation they eventually changed to Plush because that's what they thought I wanted to hear. So at the end of the day I chose to go with their original recommendation and order the luxury firm. Unfortunately it is no better than my previous mattress, so when I called in to get it replaced Customer Service person after hearing that I am a side sleeper with neck and back issues said "Oh yeah. You should have gotten a plush, that is what I have and it's great, not sure why they said to get a luxury..."

    Bottom line is that I will now need to pay another $99 to get it replaced with no guarantee that the plush will be any better for my back. If the product is sold online with no opportunity to check out the product I would certainly hope that the support staff would be more diligent about understanding the situation and needs of the consumer before throwing out a recommendation to close a sale.

    While I found the ordering experience with SAATVA wonderful, my delivery experience was atrocious. Not only was the company 8 hours late, the delivery team was rude. They had no respect for my home, left numerous dents and marks on my walls & railings. When I asked one gentleman to please be careful of my railing/walls he just looked at me like I was crazy and then made me sign a damage form clearing them from anything that might have happened or might still be damaged. Needless to say, it really soured my Saatva experience.

    Please note, I had called Saatva to check on my delivery status, and didn't get a ton of help from you all either - just saying "give them the benefit of the doubt". 7 hours later they showed finally up - after I had to cancel numerous plans that day while I "gave them the benefit of the doubt". I guess what shocked me most was their ZERO follow up - from Saatva or the moving company. My thoughts on the actual mattress are still out for debate as it's only been a week. Once I have had time to review my full experience, I do plan on leaving reviews in useful places for other clients.

    Extremely disappointed that when I called to order my beds the salesman did not help me to understand that it would be taller than a normal bed. When it came I couldn't even get in it and when talking to the delivery men they indicated it happens often. Not only is it frustrating that I need to wait for new box springs but I am being charged another hundred dollars for delivery for what I feel is negligence on your part.     Customer service experience was fine, streamlined, and shipped fast. Delivery process was smooth - no issues. But the product?! The first thing I noticed was no edge support - I slid right off the side of the bed like I was sitting on a slide. Not to jump to conclusions, we decided to sleep on it and give it a chance. I noticed a strong chemical smell that grew worse over time. In fact, the entire house smelled like a hospital room by the next day. I sleep under a mountain of covers since I like to be toasty at night. I woke up during the night covered in sweat with the same amount of covers that worked great on my old mattress. My husband hated it for this fact alone - it doesn't breathe at all and he was overly hot throughout the night and could only sleep with a sheet. Nonetheless, we wanted to like this product so tried it night two. Worse odor, same heat issue, worse sleep.

    We are returning this to purchase another new mattress today and getting it out of the bedroom so my headache will go away from the nasty odor. Also, when I called to return, the customer service rep offered to replace at no charge since the chemical smell is a "manufacturer's defect" and yet you are still charging me $99 to return. I don't know how on earth this is the best reviewed mattress on google for 2015 - unless you pay them the most to say that!

    So far I like the wonderfully service and friendly helpful team members but I cannot sleep on your mattress but a couple hours before it wakes me up as your luxury firm is too firm, it's has no give at all to it, it feels more like a hard slab. Firm should not feel hard but this one does. I called at 1:30 AM this morning and spoke with Eric. He was very friendly, helpful, courteous and is sending me the Plush Soft in a full size right away and no delivery charge. I ordered a queen size for my son before I had slept but a couple nights so maybe you could send both mattresses at a the same time and save you on 2 deliveries. Also on the luxury firm I am returning I put a brand new mattress cover on it straight out of the package so you should not discard it as that would be wasteful indeed.
