I rated them so high because the escrow specialist did a great job! I could not even understand the initial call taker and I’m pretty sure she did not understand me. The woman from the escrow section was awesome! She was informative, professional and articulate in her understandable explanation!!

Ocwen has reported to my credit a foreclosure... my home was never in foreclosure. They were modifying it and it sold during the process and they were paid IN FULL. I’ve written letters and they still have not removed it from my credit!

Courteous and always eager to provide answers to my questions. You are doing a good job. But cant understand the reason for the announcement "This is an attempt to collect a debt", even when I am the one calling, and you don't know why I am calling. Are you primarily a debt collection agency.

As such, we provide the disclosure you referenced so that consumers are fully aware that Ocwen can be considered a debt collector in some instances.

I had my home mortgage loan acquired by Ocwen Loan Servicing in 2005 through a buyout from my last mortgage co… TWICE they have put me behind on my mortgage payments now over the past several years by rejection of my payments stating that for whatever bogus reasons they rejected the payments due to late payment (more than 30 days) late... Thinking I could just make two payments at once the first time it happened. My mistake…
They had been rejecting the payments I was making through MoneyGram and stated that if you are more than 30 days late you can't just "catch up on the payments" without going through some stupid loan remod crap or other scam deal they offer...just to add more money to your loan pay off amount. These people are ridiculous!! Now yet again they are telling me that I would need to do another loan remod...because of a late payment on a "disaster relief plan" that I entered into as of Oct 2017 after a hurricane hit my house/fence… They worked out this plan that has turned into yet another nightmare with Ocwen…just like everything else they do!!
I was told that I could make repayment amounts of $300 plus dollars in addition to my regular monthly mortgage amount and those amounts would be deferred until Feb 2018 x 4 payments… They're now telling me that my mortgage is 11 months past due!!! What in the **... I have received one letter stated that they rejected my payment that was made for Aug 2018. That's the only one I have received to date… That's what spurred me to question as to why it was rejected??
I spoke with 3 people on the phone today 10/24/18…only to find out that I have to pay over $9,000.00 in order to catch up my loan or to do another loan remod and probably add another damn balloon payment to the end of my already upside down mortgage!!! This is ludicrous!!! How does this mortgage company still exist?? Constantly ripping people off... Tons of complaints on this website and other consumer affairs type sites and the BBB!!
How is this possible that this company can foreclose on someone's home and do illegal transactions with escrow funds and numerous other sketchy dealings with people's mortgages… And still be in business??? I have had it with Ocwen!!! This time I am retaining an attorney…using all the payments over the several months that they have rejected and that are still in limbo hopefully with MoneyGram!!! And retaining legal representation!!! I am also reporting them to every agency known to man!!! Including my state representatives!!! Thanks for NOTHING!!! OCWEN!!! Takers of hard earned money and hard working Americans' sanity everywhere!!!

I recently sent my 2 ON TIME mortgage payment by certified mail (no return receipt) as I always do to Ocwen because they once lost a payment and it was a nightmare to resolve. This recent incident which I am writing about, USPS showed the payment delivered to their address within the date due period, but no one signed for it, therefore the payment went back into USPS hands which then USPS could not find. I followed up immediately with Ocwen (before they called me) to tell them about the now lost payment with tracking number as well. I asked them what to do, then acting in good faith I came to the conclusion to resend the payment overnight delivery to resolve issue as quickly as possible and called customer service to tell them of the progress.
I later again called customer service to follow up on them receiving the newly issued payment. I also asked about late fees and two separate times customer service people told me because of my excellent history of ten years or more the late fees would be waived. Well sure enough the newest statement came and guess what? The late fees were there. So I called Ocwen, explained situation, while on the phone the representative went online to USPS tracking, saw that my payment was at their location on time, but they did not sign for it.
I was then told "well since the late fee has been applied I nor anyone can change it". I asked to speak to a higher up and was told I would only get the same answer and if I went higher up than that they wouldn't take my call. If someone reads this from Ocwen please have the decency to recognize customers that have been loyal and proactive in resolving a problem instead of hiding behind a very unpersonal and discouraging company policy or agenda.

Ocwen Loan Servicing has been our first mortgage servicer for many years now. They have provided us with excellent customer service and have helped us during difficult times with total understanding and compassion. Our recent loan modification was completed easily and stress free with the help of our personal modification Specialist, Trevor. He was always kind, understanding, and timely with each appointment. He made the process simple and helped get us back on track, and all without judgement. We are grateful Ocwen has helped us keep our home after a very rough couple years.

Called Ocwen to verify recent payment made through Western Speedpay posted. Was treated in a quick efficient manner that fully answered my question. While on the phone, was able to ask more questions about other issues, because the agent I was speaking with was so knowledgeable.

It started 1 month after my husband passed away. I continued to make my monthly mortgage payments on time, In November of the same year I received notice that Ocwen had paid 2500 for my homeowner's insurance when previously it was only 731 a month. Took 4 months to get that straight. Sent Ocwen a check for 1800 to escrow Then they informed me my mortgage was going up from 642 to 842 a month. Paid 842 a month for the following year. Was informed it would go back to 642. They said we didn't send in enough.
So all payments sent in since weren't credited because it was a partial payment. I was informed I would have to do a loan modification or risk foreclosure. Told me to send in 1000 for down payment of loan modification. Sent in 1000, they received it on August 23rd. They stamped on front of money order that it was received on the 23rd and sent the money order back to me and said it wasn't received. Sent same money order back two times now and it has been returned. They informed me that I had to send in 1162 a month to get caught back up by October 29. I sent cashier check on October 4th. It was returned to me on Thursday October 18th with a letter saying wasn't sufficient amount. I'm at my wit's end. I have jumped through all their hurdles and they still want to take my home. I'm a disabled 64 year old woman who Ocwen wants to be homeless.

Lost my job in 2009 due to economy. Filed for bankruptcy in 2011. OCWEN lost or did not have proper documentation or signatures on documents always asking for more time. Bankruptcy dragged on for 2 years until the court ordered OCWEN to have things ready by a stated date. Almost 1 1/2 years after the bankruptcy, OCWEN refused our payments saying we were behind on our mortgage. We weren't. We decided to sell our property, OCWEN has not allowed the sale, even after being contacted by a property lawyer we hired and the buyer's lawyer.
1 year later, the seller no longer wants due to no answers from OCWEN to us or to the what would have been buyer. We also sent certified letters telling OCWEN since they won't allow the sale, we would walk away from the home and they can deal with it. Still no answers or replies. I lived in the home for 19 years and never thought this would be the way I would have to leave it. When you do call and get someone that speaks English, they are unable to answer questions or explain why we are in the situation with them we are in. I guess the good news from them was a letter saying they were going to sue us (received over a year ago). Good! I look forward to finally getting some answers. Hopefully they will have their paperwork in hand since that always seems to be a problem for them. Hopefully it doesn't take them 20 years to do so. If your mortgage is ever sold to them, all I can say is good luck and try to refinance with someone reputable.

I cannot believe in the modern age of computers and electronic commerce that Ocwen Loan Services LLC is now charges $7.50/month to process a mortgage payment unless you go paperless. I do not go paperless for various reasons and do not do automatic payments for other reasons. Although you might be the 4th largest lender, you do earn the right to be 1st in customer complaints. Because of your September 2018 change and my unwillingness like many other to go 100% electronic and use only free electronic payments, I'm having to revert to how everyone paid bills years ago. I'll receive your bill. I'll write out a check, and I'll mail the check.
I need to commend your company for giving jobs to people instead of computers. Now, we have the mail people processing and delivering more mail, have people in your business centers processing checks, and have people at other financial institutes processing checks. Another dissatisfied customer without any way to turn except to contact my local representatives to see whether we can pass laws in this state to make this type of "for pay" electronic processing made illegal.

Your interest rates on our home mortgage is high and not reality based. It creates undue stress on seniors who want to keep their beautiful homes both for their children and themselves. Drop your interest rates to more affordable realistic numbers. Thank you!

Your customer care person was very helpful. Your changing off your webpage made it very hard to pay bills. On your old webpage, you were able to pay additional principals and escrow, on the new page it was change.

When I was at an all time low, Ocwen made it possible for me to keep my family home of now 62 years. They always are willing to work with me in every circumstance. They provided me with a loan modification making it possible to keep my family home. They are superior in going the extra mile.

Since losing my mother at the end of 2016 Ocwen has been so understanding and such a blessing to do business with. Their empathy and willingness to work with my circumstances have kept me from losing my home. I never once felt berated by anyone because I fell behind on my payments. My home suffered major damage from hurricane Florence. Once insurance claim was approved we were told we had to send the check to Ocwen and deal with them for disbursement of funds. I admit after reading nightmare stories about my situation I was scared to even call. But to my surprise Ocwen was extremely nice and did everything they could to release the funds to quickly get my home fixed! I cannot Thank you enough for the peace of mind knowing my house will soon be back to normal. Every single Person I came into contact with was very very nice and compassionate to my situation! Thank you Ocwen!

I am at the point of refinancing our loan with another credit union just to move the loan to a different mortgage servicing provider. At this point, it seems worth an extra interest point. This has been years of frustration at their stonewall incompetence and byzantine processes. I have spent hours and hours listening to an eternal loop of "Thank You for Holding. Our Next Representative Will Be With You Shortly." They were uncooperative about applying additional payments to principle--it took six months to get them to stop holding the additional payment as "reserve" and apply it. In one year, I have never succeeded in actually speaking to the person assigned to our loan. I think they made her up, and this whole place is actually one guy in a basement and an automated phone system.

My representatives, Victor and Shawnee had "World Class Customer Service". My issue was not with them because they both resolved my discrepancy. My issue was, I faxed documents to the Insurance department per the Ocwen agent request in August 2018 and when I called to follow up a few days ago in September. My documents were not found. I panic because my renewal was coming up Oct 30,18 and I needed the Insurance policy to be corrected.
Victor fixed the problem on his end, he then referred me to Shawnee in another department. The phone got disconnected, but she immediately called me back with a resolution. She assured me that I was within time frame and everything is taken care of. Although, Victor passed me on to Shawnee, he should have been finished with the call. However, a few days later Victor called me for a follow up to check on my concerns and advised my business was completed. I'm now happy with the outcome. Both are a great asset to Ocwen. Keep up the good work!

Well other than trying to refinance there was always something in the way since then the interest is going up twice on my mortgage. Now I can’t make payments online because the greedy OCWEN WANTS $7.50 for me to make them electronically payment. How much more blood do you want out of me. When I turn to stone you will not get any more greedy **.

I cannot believe that OCWEN now charges customers $7.50 to pay online for their mortgage. This is 2018! Everyone has this service for free. This is an attempt to extort money from your customers. I know that OCWEN will say it's because I didn’t go paperless. I like having the statement sent so I can be reminded to send in my payment with a visual piece of mail. I won’t do autopay because if an error occurs on the business’s end, getting your money back is difficult! I was already thinking about refinancing with a different lender... this pretty much makes that decision a no-brainer! If you’re a new buyer, stay away from this lender. Imagine 360 payments with $7.50 charge each time. Do you really want to pay $2700.00 in fees for “convenience” (also known as basic 2018 technology).

Ocwen sent me the money out of my escrow account, I talked to someone in India, they told me that they could not put the money back in my account, then the next month my escrow account went into arrears. It was a battle, it's been several years to get this settled, it has been a very unpleasant, I still don't trust Ocwen to do the right thing. Now Ocwen wants to charge $7.50 for doing payments online, what is this???

I called customer service requesting information about changes in my mortgage. The customer service agent was very professional and eager to help. All of my questions were answered one at a time and explained to me in a way to ensure I understood. The agent also asked if I did understand and had any other questions.

For the past few months Ocwen has been sending mail to me about refinancing my loan wiith them as our mortgage balance is a few years from being paid off. Our loan was assigned to Ocwen a number of years ago after the mortgage scandal with Countrywide. At the time the mortgage was picked up by Ocwen I started reading their reviews from other customers. Reading the reviews of Ocwen did not make me comfortable having my loan with them.
Today, my wife had to call Customer Service to find out why our mortgage was not taken out for this month. The person she spoke with told her there was an issue with the mortgage the previous month and because of that we were no longer on automatic deduction and that this month's mortgage was late and we had to pay a service charge. The customer service rep said since we were late Ocwen had started a process of foreclosure. In that we were just a few weeks late and were paying the mortgage over the phone, we also had to pay a late fee, which I understand but not happy with.
We were also assessed an additional $14 for a home inspection, that we did not have. Besides trying to scare us with possible foreclosure, this rep was very rude to my wife. I could hear my wife being respectful of him so I don't understand why he could not have respectful of her. My wife tried to get him to transfer her to his supervisor multiple times but he would not. This no way of working with a customer to continue to keep their business. Warning, never be late with a payment or Ocwen's will start foreclosure on your home, even if it is a few weeks after the payment is due. Even if I was thinking of refinancing my mortgage I would NOT do it with this company.

Ocwen representative was very accommodating and helpful. The representative was knowledgeable and addressed my concerns accordingly. He was also able to refer to the right department for further assistance. I felt heard and understood which made my experience positive. I would definitely recommend Ocwen to my friends.

We hired a firm to verify, and create a full packet to submit a loan modification 3 months ago. As I’ve read over and over again, Ocwen is repeatedly asking for updates and wanting us to verify names, banks accounts, etc that we have already verified to them. I’m very proficient in mortgages and legal paperwork. I’m frustrated in that Ocwen seems to only delaying the process on purpose. If I don't call them, they wait a week for the scheduled meeting to inform us they want something else. They mail the requested forms, but it takes 6 or 7 days to get it in the mail? Delay, delay, delay.
We had our bank change the statement format for one, and they would not accept the official bank statement in its new format! I have my wife’s name on the mortgage for 15 years and I had to get an affidavit to prove that she is one in the same person that differs on other forms. I proved SS benefits and had to again, prove where on the bank statements were the deposits. It’s like they're not even looking.
I hope in God's name they are forced to comply, close down or get shut down. Bottom line is, we were trying to be pro-active and avoid harder financial hardship. We have proven that we can pay, we have great credit but we are upside down. We’ve tried to refinance 3 times over the past 5 years. I’m almost to the point of walking away and letting them have the damn house. Never in my life have a lost 3 months of sleep over something.

My VA Mortgage doesnt allow for Assistance... I am still waiting for Ocwen to review my mortgage after my bi-weekly payments disappeared, and when they called saying I qualified for help in MD settlement, then said I had a VA loan and just hung up.

I can’t believe it that this lender affect my life and my expenses even because they are not reporting my mortgage to the credit bureaus. There’s zero about my mortgage, so, my fico it has been affected. Typically when we get a mortgage in our credit report it help a lot to get an stronger credit and better fico. You can’t trust on this lender, review your credit report if you get your home with this company or be aware from them.

Ocwen sent someone to look at my house and no one was home and they declared that the house was vacant and unoccupied. Had someone cut the grass in front and then billed me $ 114.00. I Called and spent an hour on the phone trying to explain to someone in the escalation department, with no luck. What a rip off. Take my advice. Don't do business with Ocwen.

PHH Mortgage has lost our payment or at least stated they lost it after they cashed it. We had to get our bank to call them and show proof that our check we wrote to them had been cashed. We pay our house payment early each month and pay the full amount or a little extra. We are never late. PHH Mortgage is saying we are now behind in our escrow payment. They sent us a breakdown of the payments and they are missing the 08/2018 payment. When we call, we are sent to what must be a call center in India where a person with a very heavy accent clearly has no idea what we are talking about. They refuse to let us speak to a supervisor or say a supervisor will call us in a few days. Supervisor never calls.

My experience with Ocwen loan services is the best, Whenever I need help Ocwen is always there for me. I got hurt at work and couldn't afford to pay my mortgage. Ocwen help me with a homeowners modification so that I can stay in my house. I don't know what I would have done if they were not there for me. On 9/29/14 I sent Ocwen 6 money orders for a total of $6,000 to Ocwen to pay my loan and to pay down my loan principal. I sent the money order by FedEx and tracking confirmed delivery on 10/1/14. Ocwen LOST all 6 money orders! I had to cancel all 6 money orders and pay $15 x 6 = $90 in cancellation fees plus the FedEx 2-Day shipping fee of $9.50. Almost 2 months later on 11/24/14 Ocwen FOUND the 6 lost money orders well after they were cancelled and tried to deposit all 6 of them. When they were returned unpaid, Ocwen charged me for 6 "Returned Check Fees" of 6 x $25 = $150. It was not until 1/30/17 (2 years and 4 months later) that I received a final refund of all of the erroneous fees I was charged!
In September 2017 Ocwen fabricated a 2nd social security number on the same loan account for which they lost $6,000 in money orders! This caused letters from the IRS to be sent to Ocwen and Ocwen sending me requests for proof of my "2nd social security number" that did NOT exist! This fiasco took me 3 months and a lot of unnecessary correspondence, phone calls and TIME to resolve! Ocwen caused me no end of time-wasting problems that should NEVER have happened if they were a well organized and well run company but they are NOT! These problems occurred over a period of 3 years and 3 months! I was so frustrated with them, I vowed that one day in my busy life I would write a testimonial to tell people about these TRUE stories. Ocwen was a disastrous loan servicing company for me!

Ocwen Financial Corporation/Homeward Residential, Inc - I’ve been a customer of Ocwen Financial Corporation for over 10 years, in those years I’ve applied for mortgage modification and have been denied many times. I have an adjustable rate mortgage that is currently 6.5%. Since 2008, I have been upside down in my home value. I didn’t walk away, I’ve held on and I have tried to do the right thing. My mortgage has doubled and continues to increase. I can’t get Ocwen to do the right thing and modify my loan to a standard home loan. In 2017 Ocwen accepted approx $50,000 from the Hardest Hit Fund and they continue to want more. I am now at risk of foreclosure as my mortgage continues to increase.

First off I am a widow!! I have owned several homes in my life and I have never experienced what PHH Mortgage has done to me. In fact my last home I was at for 18 years and never had a payment raised once, when I had a fixed mortgage rate! My bank sold my loan to PHH Mortgage! So it wasn't like I picked this company for my mortgage. Every single year my payment has gone up to where now I am almost paying a 1000.00 a month on a 110.000 loan. They have sent me so many wasted pieces of paper that I could stuff a bedroom full! This company is absolutely the worst! I have now filed bankruptcy chapter 7 so I will keep my house but I cannot wait for the day that I can refinance through another company! I cry once a month when I get statements from them. Why doesn't someone do something about this company. They have squeezed about all the money I had out of me! And I'm supposed to be in retirement! Come on please help!!!

I never Maid a late payment. I never missed a payment. They screwed up my credit, reported me late... took double payments out of my bank account. I spent at least 40 hours on the phone trying to get them to fix their own mistakes. They put me on auto call and harassed me multiple times a day. I file complaint after complaint. Finally they sold my loan to Wells Fargo. Ocwen doesn't know it's head from its rail. People don't speak English well are rude and incompetent.

I did everything I was asked to do and still did not achieve anything. I should have reported you to the Better Business Bureau. I wouldn't recommend you to my worst enemy.

My mortgage was taken over by Ocwen Loans Servicing, LLC from G.M.A.C. via business reasons. I had no control over the takeover which was translucent and informative. I verified my mortgage amount, any other charges to this account, i.e. insurance, and interest plus. I received good customer service and timeless returns on callbacks to me. Mortgage paid in full.

My mortgage was transferred to Ocwen in about 2012. The first I learned of this was through a phone message from them. Again, what was the company? I didn't even know. Then in 2013 I was laid off for the second time during the recession and I applied for a refinance. Could have faxed in, but mailed all the paperwork for safety. Then began the requests for my bank statements, over and over again. I always faxed them and waited at the machine for confirmation. Still the same thing, send in bank statements. I started writing things on the cover page with the documents, like 'someone has to actually get up and walk to fax machine and pick up the pages and put with application pages'. Still I couldn't get noticed. It was never reviewed to my knowledge and I struggled for years by not having the opportunity to refinance when I needed to.
My interest rate was high (10.1) and the market was down at times to around 2 and 3 percent and still no one would review my application. I did internet searches a dozen or more times trying to find the agency responsible to making sure mortgage companies were doing as required but never did find out so I could make a formal complaint. Then, I think it was last year, my mortgage is suddenly transferred to yet another company and today (year later) I discover that they owe me nearly $500 in escrow fees. Letter I received (with my last name spelled incorrectly) said they couldn't find my current address (yeah, same one). They've been holding this money for a year.
I would have thought it would have been transferred to the new mortgage company. I was short a payment after my layoff due to social security retirement having to wait a month before regular payments. That $500 would have been more than half the missing payment. How dare they deliberately fail to timely review my refinance application and how dare they hold on to these funds for so long?

Ocwen has my loan all screwed up. I applied for a modification and made ALL the payments. I got approved for a permanent modification again missing NO payments and now they want to foreclose on my home. Why? Because they did not credit my account correctly. Now they won't fix it. Stay as far away from this company as possible.

I sent a check to pay off 98% of my mortgage in April 2018. The check came back 30 days later with no explanation. I called. They told me I had to pay off the entire mortgage. I got the pay off amount resent another check in full May 2018. The check came back again 30 days later with no explanation. I called. They then told me I had to send a certified check and gave me another pay off amount for approximately 300.00 more. In June I finally paid off my mortgage. I just received a notice that my credit score went down because Ocwen reported me delinquent in May 2018 even though they had received the money and sent it back.
I called to ask them to correct this error. I spend almost 4 hours with almost nothing being done except for me to hear their policy over and over again. They are scripted to the max with no one able to make any common sense decisions outside of their policy equation. They are terrible with customer service and their representatives only read from scripts. Horrible and stress full situation all around. They bought my mortgage. I did not choose them. They certainly do not have anyone's interest but their own. BEWARE! IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE TO NOT USE THEM!

This company has held my mortgage for over 6 years and I can honestly say they're horrible. Every time I need something (once a year or so) I am reminded how horrible their customer service is. You can't get a hold of anyone. They never call you back. Their website is riddled with bugs. Recently I've tried to change the bank account that I auto-pay from but their website crashes each time I try to change the account. It's been over 3 weeks since I've tried to contact them and I get an auto message saying they'll call me back within 24 business hours. 3 weeks and still no call back. Then they randomly responded to one of my emails saying I don't have a direct-pay currently. Well, that's absolutely false. I've been auto-paying two times a month for 6.5 years. I'm honestly considering refinancing my mortgage just so I can get rid of this company (is that even possible?).

The reason I contacted Ocwen, was to report the passing of my wife. The person I spoke with offered condolences and sounded genuinely empathetic to my situation. They were knowledgeable about what I needed, and were able to handle my concerns without delay or having to put me on hold. While this may seem trivial to some, those that have been through similar situations will understand how much that means. My insurance carrier was the only other call that made me feel the same way. Other companies I contacted were cordial, but there was nothing really genuine in their words of concern, it was all business. If ever asked, I would recommend Ocwen to friends and relatives.

I called and the lady that I talked to was very professional and answer questions that I was confused on. She also explained if I had any questions later on, "Please feel free to call." I have paid 1,400 (more 1,500) the first year on a 76,500 HE. Plus had to pay over 7,000 to get started...for a person that lives paycheck to paycheck it isn't easy. Since I have other bills to pay including a 800.00 dollar mortgage. This is suppose to be our last month paying. Instead of 1,400 they want 6,697.00. I don't mind paying what I owe but not some amount that is totally off. Plus the maturity date for the whole 5 years was August 8th...but a month or so ago they took it upon themselves to change it to July 18th. I have kept every bank statement proving I paid 59 months. Since I still owe July's payment...The ** thing is I didn't even choose this company. The other mortgage company went bankrupt...in all this company has gotten a extra 50,000 out of me. In my opinion I think it is all about taking someone's home away. I think I should get a lawyer to check this out.

I got a call from someone at PHH mortgage informing me my mortgage payment was overdue. I mailed the mortgage payment on the 1st of the month. (Due on the 10th). They called on the 17th asking me for credit card information to make the payment good. I informed them I need to call the bank to find out if the check I sent had cleared. Called the bank right away and it had not cleared so I had the bank cancel the check and called PHH back to make funds available to them. They informed me that there would also be a $28.38 late fee and a $17.50 service charge for their collection agency.
Whoa! In twenty years we have not made a late mortgage payment and they want to treat us like that for a mail problem? They basically told us that if we didn't pay the extra charges that it would be reported to the credit bureau. Come to find out they sent us a letter previously with a new mailing address for mortgage payments. That is where the check went. We were told by the PHH rep on the phone that was not the correct address. Didn't matter we were paying the full amount at that moment. Pay the extra fees or else. I would recommend against doing any business with PHH mortgage.

I recently changed home insurance companies with a much lower rate and had questions whether the escrow account had been re-evaluated which would result in a lower monthly mortgage payment. The representative quickly understood the issue and clearly explained my options and suggested course of action. A totally responsive and professional experience. I wish all companies had such knowledgeable and customer oriented employees. Thank you!

Ocwen is the worse mortgage company my wife and I have ever dealt with. We completed a five year reorg late last year. All payments to Ocwen were made on time and after the reorg was completed we have made every payment on time. Things were going along great until last April when for reasons unknown to me Ocwen decided to back out five years worth of mortgage payments and then reapply them to our account.
Somehow these idiots didn't reapply all of our payments and now claim we are almost $800 in arrears. On top of that we filed our 2017 tax return based on the Form 1098 they sent us stating we paid $14K in interest. After they backed out our payments they sent us a revised 1098 stating we paid $0 in interest and then sent us another 1098 stating we paid $13K in interest. On top of all this they sent us a letter telling us to ignore the 1098's for $0 and $14K, that they were errors. What? You morons can't even get my interest payments correct?
We have talked to Ocwen representatives about this situation but have not gotten no resolution. I can't even make my monthly payments online. I have to call every month and listen to them tell me I'm behind almost $800 when I'm current. My next step is filing a complaint with the state and if that doesn't end this idiocy I have no choice but to hire an attorney. This has been a nightmare and it is all due to Ocwen having their head so far up their ** that they can't even figure out what they have done. Oh, my wife even talked to one person at Ocwen that didn't understand if you made a mortgage payment say on March 31st that this was your April payment. Really??? DO NOT get a mortgage thru Ocwen. I have never dealt with such a poorly run company. I'd give them zero stars if I could.

I approached Ocwen about refinancing request to use our equity to help pay for a repair on the home and have extra in case it was need. Ocwen advised at first that they would allow us to refinance but not for extra - to save $120 on the bill. I could not understand why we couldn't use the equity in our home. Ocwen at first was great - but when we ran into concerns, Ocwen pretty much slammed the door. I even called back to leave messages requesting if we were still eligible for refinance even to make it lower and there never was a reply. We had approached another lender who has been giving us counseling and is to the point looking at possibly giving us another loan soon to use the equity. It would have been nice if Ocwen had helped us understand instead of turned their backs.

Ocwen was not the originator of my loan but bought it soon after I closed. Besides being late paying from time to time I had never had too much interaction with them. Lately I’ve experienced financial difficulties due to my wife’s illness and Ocwen has reached out to me and seem only too happy to help find a solution. It early on but I have confidence that we will find an amicable solution.

My family member, more than half the provider of the mortgage. Took very ill, we got behind. So now they won't accept our payment. They want this ungodly amount. We been there over 40 years. Ocwen doesn't seem to have any compassion. I don't have anyone else to turn or take me in. They said they will work with us. I am waiting to see. And why they close my Western Union account because I was late, if they are going to work with us? It's because they rather see me broken and homeless. I pray there is a God!

I had a very pleasant experience with the representative that assisted me. Each time that I have had to call in for a question or something that I needed to be explained I was always given the highest customer service without leaving anything unanswered. I believe that OCWEN Mortgage is by far one of the nation's finest Lending Institutions, and they all can learn by OCWEN’S practices because I have been with other lenders and all of the experiences were not the best.

This has been a terrible experience and I'm so mad right now. First of all Ocwen added a "remark" to my credit report on Jun 3, 2018 stating "foreclousure initiation". I have not been late on my payment in nearly 9 years. I immediately contacted Ocwen to be given the runaround and was told TransUnion must have added it in error. I called TransUnion and was informed that they are record keepers and only add what the creditors send them. I spent hours on the phone because I wanted this mess off the remarks on my credit. I was finally notified by Ocwen that it was an error and it would be removed and the remark "loan modified" would be added.
Well this didn't make me feel any better. My loan was modified 8 years 2 months ago and the remark has NEVER been on my report so why now. I don't feel that it is fair or right for Ocwen to just added this comment after 8 years 2 months. I just spoke with Ocwen again and was advised they wanted ME to provide proof that is has never been on the report. TransUnion told me its never been on the report but TU doesn't provide proof nor do they do 3-way calls. So how the heck am I suppose to have proof of credit reports for the past 8 years and 2 months. This is a bunch of bullcrap. They don't try to help you with the problem and they care. They have the worst reviews and complaints and I wish I could move my loan. I will be surely looking for a different mortgage company after this poor treatment.

I called yesterday to get a breakdown of miscellaneous fees being charged in the amount of $427.92. The customer service rep on the phone could not tell me, but said he would send me the breakdown. When I received it this am via email, I was in shock. SP Web Fees, Property Inspection Fess, as well as Property Inspection Fees (Exterior). I called a spoke to another customer service rep who sent my call to an "Escalation" rep. I asked her what is a SP Web Fee. She said it was a fee charged for using their web page to make a payment. I reminded her I was already charged that fee and it was paid when I made my payment, and I have my bank statements to prove it. She then said I was not being charged that again, to which I told her they were in fact charging me that fee again because I was looking at the statement they just sent me. She said I was not and she would not "argue" with me about it.
FACT is, they are charging me AGAIN a $10.00 SP Web Fee for making a payment online. That fee is included on the statement. Why am I paying it if I have already paid it!!! I have my bank statements to prove it. I then asked her how they could charge me $317.92 for Property Inspection Fees when no one has ever been to my house. She could only say they had a right to charge that, even though no one has ever been here. She was no help at all, and refused to even consider taking these fees off, or offering another way to get these issues resolved. Her name is Vickie, ID #**. Totally rude and not helpful at all. I have/am dealing with other issues with them, but would need a book... Am considering getting an attorney as they are total frauds.
Updated on 10/05/18: I have been behind on my mortgage no more than 2 months after losing my job after 20 years at the same company. I have tried to get a loan modification, have sent them everything they asked for (more than once), only to be told they didn't get it and/or needed more information. This went on for about 2 months until I had had enough of their bull and dropped the whole modification avenue. I am now caught up, however, I still have not made my October payment yet. I believe I still have 10 days until fees apply. My issue is they continue to send people to my home to take pictures. Here are these strangers, coming to my home taking pictures of my grandchildren playing in the yard, and that scares them, and me!!
Who are these men taking these pictures???? Have they gone through any type of background check to protect my grandchildren?? Do they know they are not sexual predators?? Are they willing to take responsibility should one of them be a total nut job and hurt one of them, or find their picture on some sleazy website?? I tried calling them about it, only to be told they didn't care about my concerns, they had every right to send anyone they wanted to my home to take as many pictures as they wanted. AND... I get charged for this as well!!! So, on top of an insane $7.50 fee for paying my mortgage online, they have been charging me $23 per month to send strange men to my home to take pictures!!!
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I get I have been behind on my payments, but I don't believe it gives them the right to send strangers to my home to photograph small children!! They harass me by banging on my door only to walk away when I answer. They try to get into my back yard... The list just goes on and on. I can't believe this is even legal for them to do. If you do business with these people and have small children, please be careful!! There are so many crazies in the world, you never know what can happen. They should be ashamed of themselves for doing such a low life thing as sending strangers to your home. Buyer BEWARE!!! This company is no good!!!

I have been dealing with various Ocwen reps for several years. My wife and I are in an active Chapter 13 bankruptcy. We did not declare our home in the bankruptcy and have continued making our monthly mortgage payments in a timely fashion. We have never been late or paid a late fee. Ocwen has lost our mortgage twice in the last 10 months. We have had to issue a "stop payment" on our check which cost us $35.00 and then re-issue a payment. The most recent episode was with our May payment. We mailed our May payment on April 30th and it never was credited to our account. This time I decided to not stop payment on the check mailed on April 30th to see if it would arrive. It never did. I finally stopped payment on that check, at a cost of $35.00 and mailed two checks, one for the May payment and one for the June payment.
I sent them by Priority Mail at a cost of $ 6.70, and they were received and signed for on June 4th. The two checks cleared my bank on June 6th. I have been working with an ERM rep for some time and have found it very difficult to contact her. I have left multiple messages for her and she does not return my calls. I have read hundreds of customer reviews for Ocwen and was amazed at the hundreds of poor reviews I read. Based upon my experiences, I can understand why there are so many such reviews.
I just sent another lengthy e-mail to the ERM department at Ocwen and sent a carbon-copy to my attorney for his review. I am almost 77 years old and am a retired firefighter so I have seen many things in my life and I can honestly say that I have never dealt with a company like Ocwen. I would gladly appear on a TV show to express my frustration with this company. I'm sure that this review with get the same "canned" response from Ocwen that all of the other poor reviews received but, at least I have vented my frustration. I would welcome a personal comment from anyone. Thanks for your time!!!

As you can see in my previous complaint on 5/28/18 the Ombudsman got involved. They were given bank statements, credit reports, VOM, and Credit Report History proving that there is a reporting issue. Today 6/5/18 I get an email stating that they are not fixing the errors... yet this is what I get “In the event you believe Ocwen has made an error in the credit reporting of your loan or that the above mentioned months are not the months in dispute, please provide us with a copy of the credit report at the address provided below. Please include the following information: Identification of which month(s) and what reporting is being disputed. Explanation of why this month(s) and reporting is being disputed. All applicable evidence showing that your payment for that month(s) was received on time or that the information we reported was incorrect."
Ok how many times do I have to show proof of this error? Didn’t I just send all this in? I sent every bit of this information requested multiple times into the Credit Reporting Team and the Ombudsman team. Including credit reports showing past years were fixed then changed then fixed then changed... there is no help with any of the teams involved they are fraud (Google them)... I am now wondering if I mail all the Bank Statements and credit reports to their investors... let them see what is going on, not to mention maybe the IRS also my bank statements showing they are reporting my interest paid for year is incorrect based on proof of bank statements.
Obviously no one at Ocwen knows basic accounting and even with proof reports what they choose, or assumes another department has done the correct research. Assuming this company would of done the proper research based on bank statements to correct the issue and the fact that I was purchasing a home and needing it fixed immediately I chose to at the time attempt this myself, now that they have failed to address and fix the issues presented to them on my bank statements and lost me not only the sale of my home and a purchase of another home, I will be taking this issue much further, I fully understand everyone else’s issues with this company and hope everyone gets resolution without it being a small class action lawsuit because the stress, mental anguish, and anxiety I have had in the last 3 years can’t be paid off.
The losses and impact that their company has done to our lives is worse than losing a home to an earthquake or fire and losing all your irreplaceable belongings. I can’t stress enough to stay away from this company! And as I have done in the past I will continue to fight this issue and will continue to pray for everyone who has also been impacted by this company, they can not continue to destroy people’s lives.

My principal amount payoff is $19,000. My grandparents are an elderly couple that I took care of in their older years left me their house and generosity for taking care of them. When I went to go sell the house I called to get up pay off seat and they said I owed $36,000. $14,000 + Financial charges this amount of $36,000 has never been on a statement. I have gotten myself into a lot of trouble now and I tried to ask him about it. They spoke to me like I was very stupid. I tried to explain if it's not on the statement how would I know.

I never had a problem with this mortgage company. I have been with them for the last 6 years and never had a problem. At one time they were calling after I had made arrangements and it annoy me, but after explaining that it was due to the computer doing auto dial, and each time they were pleasant to explain the procedure I accept it and never was bother after that. I always pay when I get my social security check and I get a confirmation quickly after paying. I never had a problem with Ocwen and I would consider them excellent.

Awful experience. They stole our money and could not find it. Tried to modify our loan. They took over 6 months and just played us so they could take our house. All you talk to are foreign people who can't speak English. Thanks to them we are homeless.

I have been suffering since 2012 my account was with Chase. JPMorgan sold the account to account after short sale the property and after many years reporting to my credit I owe them. This bank representatives are overseas and to get the documents gets lost and when I talk to someone, they escalated the call from one department to another. I did a 3 way call Ocwen, Chase and myself, Chase verified they did the SHORT SALE, gave Ocwen all the details, and they haven't done anything.
This is a big problem when they have move overseas to safe money since is cheaper to pay their employees, but, we suffer for not being able to contact direct to representatives in USA to solve problems sooner. Many faces got lost and takes them over a week to received if they get it, but, by their own representatives said, is 50/50 to get the documents CUSTOMERS send. I will be looking for a Legal Advice to resolve this problem, since is costing me to use my Credit... Think a million times before you choose Ocwen.

I posted two complaints on the BBB website about this horrible company. They posted a comment back asking me to call their ombudsman. I called the ombudsman and she had no idea why I was calling. There was nothing in my file about this complaint, the previous BBB complaint or all the complaints I made to various supervisors. She kept putting me on hold to look things up because obviously nothing was written down. This is the customer service you get with OCWEN. And when I told her, her company should identify themselves first before asking a homeowner to do so, she said that's the way it works.
So, you get a call from something that sounds like a call center from a foreign country and they won't say who they are until you tell them first. Which people obviously don't want to do because you are not supposed to identify yourself to someone who may be running a scam. Run from this company if your mortgage company sells your mortgage to them (that's how I got unlucky) and if you are just searching for a new company, do not choose OCWEN.

During the housing crisis my mortgage was taken over by Ocwen when the previous mortgage company went under. That same housing crisis hit us hard in Florida. I am a painter, tied to construction, work was practically nonexistent and having family with kids, the finances were a constant juggling act. We got behind in the mortgage, times were very hard. Finally work stabilized, the economy was picking up and we were back on our feet. During that time Ocwen worked with me on a loan modification. It was a lot of paperwork and jumping through hoops and waiting for a decision. The whole process took 6-8 months in all but it was well worth it.
I had heard and read some not so good things about dealing with Ocwen and was a bit apprehensive, but I had to be optimistic so I started the paperwork. Now it wasn't easy and the paperwork is meticulous. I kept having to supply updated pay stubs and such during the review, it was stressful to say the least. However Ocwen was always on top of things and did what they said they would do. I got my mortgage back on track and my family still lives in the only home our kids have known, that's priceless. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience dealing with Ocwen.

Telephone communication was about the mortgage insurance policy on **. Ocwen was informed that Farmer's Insurance company was replaced by AAA Insurance company. The Ocwen representative was professional, courteous, and helpful.

People are always friendly and helping wherever they can. Sometimes repeat calls like in my case get a bit much but I do understand. I wish calls on the weekend would be after 10 am Eastern instead of 8:00 am.

I asked for a waiver to a late payment that was a day late. A good job was done and handled well. I am wondering how I can mail you my check on the morning of May 9th and as of today May 19th you haven't taken it to account. Beyond frustrating as I will now get another late charge. I wish my bill were able to be due on the 15th of the month and we'd never have an issue. Please help.

After my Dad passed, we inherited a number of real estate holdings. We formed an LLC and placed all of the properties into it. As soon as OCWEN found out about my father's death, they changed the name on the mortgage to "Estate of..." We tried for several months, to get the name on the mortgage changed to the name of our LLC, but Ocwen kept insisting that we could not change the name on the Mortgage without my deceased father's signature.
Of all of the accounts, mortgages, etc. that my dad had, OCWEN was to only one that demanded a signature from a dead man. The only thing that OCWEN was willing to do, was to keep accepting our payments. There is no way that I will ever do business with OCWEN in the future. No way in... And then on top of that, they keep sending me emails, even though I have "Unsubscribed" several times.

I called concerning a letter I received concerning notice of ownership transfer of your mortgage loan. Cory was very friendly and courteous and explained the letter to me. Then I received a letter stating loan # ** must be paid in full by 12/01/2018. The second letter convinced me that either YOU are not happy with the way I paid the mortgage payments or you are you would not want to loan me any money in the future. I will be glad when the note is paid off on 12/01/2018 then I will no longer have dealings with OCWEN.

The conversations that I have had with Ocwen has been unsuccessful. Due to cancer in my family I'm trying to get a lower interest rate. They keep telling me I'm sending the same info as before when that is not true. Ocwen has not been a help to me and my daughter with the Mortgage. There are more lenders on my mortgage that I discovered.

I recently applied for an equity loan with another company, only to find out that the company could not verify the Title was "Clean" or "Clear". I reached out to Ocwen and they cleared it up for me -- yet, I'm not sure the other company was willing to accept Ocwen explanation; so, I mailed them a complete copy off the HAMP Approval and Subordinate Note that extended and Amended the original Deed/Title. After this experience, which I spent $495 for an appraisal; I would recommend anyone who was approved for a Modification Loan to check their Deed and Title to ensure it is clean and clear because apparently many companies do not want to hold more than the second lien in any property when applying for an equity loan.

I requested help with my Mortgage in 2005. I was given an adjustable rate and new 10 Year mortgage without my authorization. I have requested proof of serving rights and proof of payments. Never received. I'm in Kidney Failure and Heart Failure and they have scheduled the foreclosure sale without mediation. Help.

To close out escrow/taxes - I have to wait 6 years to do this. 6 years that is too long for seniors to wait. Main object is to pay my house down and try to have extra money to live on. 6 years just too long. Just don't want house to be paid off so you can collect interest. This is just not fair for seniors. No help from anyone mortgage companies or the government...

Ocwen went out of their way to help us rework our mortgage. I have a tenant who is waiting for disability and has been unable to pay--I was making payments on my own until November when I could no longer do so. Ocwen gave me time I needed to resolve my issues and helped me by lowering my interest rate and reinstating my mortgage. Thank you very much!

Hours posted for technical support are until 8pm ET but when you call they close at 5PM. No one can help and to set up an account for online viewing is a joke. I have spent several days and spoken with several people who all claim to get me logged in online and then when I try it doesn't work. They are all incompetent, don't know what they are doing and don't have a clue how to help. And they don't CARE!!! How this company is still in business I don't have a clue. I wish my mortgage was paid off already and I was done with them. The only personnel I speak to are in another country and have a hard time understanding what I want.

Four months in a row we paid additional principal - clearly marked on the payment stub. EVERY time we would get a statement showing that the funds were not applied to principal. Each and every time we'd have to waste an hour or so to call the representative and have the funds applied to principal. With the consistency of the error it seems intentional and with so many customers likely a lucrative mistake to make. So frustrating.

We had wind damaged done to our dwelling due to a severe wind storm that went through our area. We need the loss check endorsed by the mortgagee. They were very friendly and fast with getting this done for us and returned so we can get a contractor to repair the damage.

I was told that some info was sent to me about furthering my Loan Mod. I never received it. Was told that it was denied. No info was sent to my attorney. I asked the rep if he can sent it again. He told me that he could only send it to my attorney. So why wasn't that done in the beginning. I could not speak to anyone until my attorney sent out an authorization that I could speak on my behalf. I sent my payments out. I asked for a letter stating that my Loan Mod trial was complete. Received it. But I could not speak on my behalf until Ocwen received the authorization. Now I'm waiting on a reversal. I wouldn't stop at send monetary payment but stop at paperwork. Need help please.

Absolute joke of a company! I called for the details of my payoff to find out exactly what would happen when we paid off our mortgage. I was told within 2 days I would have my escrow refund mailed to me, so with the postal service it would be a week or so. A MONTH after the mortgage was paid off I called again, they now tell me 25 days after the mortgage is paid off they will issue a check. What a bunch of liars!!! I can guarantee you if I held my mortgage payment for a month and a half the shoe would not fit on the other foot. I would never consider dealing with this company again, never!!! Keep someone's money for a month and a half that does not belong to you is pure wrong. I hope others read this and heed warning. BTW their email system doesn't work either, they say they will get back to you in 24 hours, another lie.

I am very happy with the way Ocwen helped me keep my home and their understanding of my situation. I almost lost my home and Ocwen was willing to work with me and my situation. Currently I am working on a payment plan and hope to be back on track within a couple of months. I always had great customer service except one time with a female but everyone else was very understanding.

I only have two complaints: 1) at the end of my mortgage I have several "balloon" payments, which at this time I don't see how I can make, 2) when my principle is reduced because of good payment record, it is implied to the IRS that I have been given cash that I need to pay taxes on. Not true. I have been given no cash.

Keep messing up amount due - Per our agreement dated 3/22/18 we were due to make an extra payment of ~$2800 which was due to an error by the bank in applying our original modification payment. We made that extra payment of $2800 in March along with the normal March 1 payment of $2800. We followed up with $1400 late in March for April and another $1400 in the beginning of April for April. At the point we should only owe for May 1 in the amount of ~$2800. Per Kathy, $1400 was misapplied to principal and needs to be fixed. Please confirm the above and correct the statement sent on 4/10/18 which shows amount due of $5,262.46. Again, the correct balance for due for May. Should be ~$2800.

They truly are a horrible company to deal with. I went through a refinance with them that they screwed up so badly I was given the option to cancel and get all my money back. I so wish I could have. The government wouldn't let me. They said I started with them and so I had to continue to work with them. Consumer Affairs representative was absolutely no help and could have cared less. Now my loan is back with them and I am wondering how it is that they are allowed to make money on your payment to them by using a third party source. Why are they not taking payments directly like every other business I pay monthly. Total rip off. Please do not use PHH for your banking needs!

Once again, we are having difficulty with Ocwen Loan Servicing. In May, 2016, they paid the escrow property insurance they had collected to the wrong company for the wrong property. We suspended payments until this problem could be rectified. It took until November, 2016 to resolve this. This was reported to the credit bureaus so our creditworthiness was adversely affected due to their mistake. Trying to resolve this additional problem was also a monumental ordeal.
Currently, we qualify to have the FHA MIP insurance requirement removed from our monthly payment liability. Federal statutes in force for mortgages prior to 2013 specify reaching 5 years or longer with the current mortgage and attaining an LTV of 78% to remove this requirement, which applies to our situation. This is also becoming yet another monumental ordeal for something that should be an automatic process. It is, therefore, my highest recommendation to AVOID this mortgage company at any cost.

I have had issues in the past with Ocwen and having to get my loan back up to date for missed payment and had not so great customer service. However this time I called and got a woman who was very compassionate and took the time to explain everything to me. She went above and beyond in helping me get all the information needed to wire transfer my entire amount to bring my account up to date. I even had to call her back to ask a second question and she was able to recall me from earlier in the day and help me. She left me feeling like she actually cared and that I was not just a number in her day. I am very pleased with my experience.

I have a manufactured home on a permanent basement. The home will never be moved again. There is a process called title elimination so the original title the manufacturer used to haul it down the road can be eliminated and the home can be upgraded to real property. It's something most banks want done to enhance the value of the property. To contact Ocwen, I had to talk to several people in another country who had no idea what I was talking about. All they would give me was a fax number in the United States. A normal brick and mortar bank would understand this process and have it done quickly. Not Ocwen.
After multiple attempts and leaving a bad review, a representative from the United States called me to get the problem resolved. She is also impossible to get ahold of and ultimately my request was denied because Ocwen don't understand the process or it's been sent to the wrong people to make the decision. I have my house on the market and the buyer's bank can't pay off my home until Ocwen signs the papers. That is normal practice in the industry. I feel like I'm talking to someone from Mars when trying to explain what needs to be done. My request was denied because of ignorance to the manufactured housing loan process by Ocwen. We are about to lose the sale of this house and I will have to file lawsuit all because this is not a bank where I can talk to someone who understands this process.

My wife I have been Ocwen customers since 2013. Our previous mortgage company was a homeowners nightmare. After our mortgage was transferred to Ocwen we were able to breathe again. Ocwen worked with us to get our mortgage out of foreclosure and we have been on track. What the other mortgage company wouldn’t do to assist us Ocwen stepped in and our fear of losing our home was gone.

Matthew made me feel as though all the time and effort did matter. And my clean payment record with them, was completely taken into consideration. I have had 3 mortgages with Ocwen, I've paid back 2 in full, with an excellent payment history. In my case Ocwen ignored the FTC rules that state any payment made at midnight or before (even 11:59 p.m. on the 31st of any given month) is an on-time payment. A year ago Ocwen gave me a 30 days late payment score for paying after their cut off which by the way was only known to them. The cut off time that they made was 9:00 pm. When I presented them with the law, they reconsidered their position and removed my late payment.
Once again cash flow was tough after the holidays this January. I was not able to make the January of 2018 payment until the 31, I made it well before 9:00 pm understanding the challenge with them here. So now they tried a new trick, they say I made my payment at 1:20 am 1 hour and 20 minutes after midnight on the 1st!, when I called them on this they scolded me about last year and did not even know the facts or even care.
And this was the office of The Consumer Ombudsman. Which is supposed to help consumers. The woman supposed helping me had no idea, she insisted I called at 9:00 am, then she reread my complaint and oh yes it was 1:20 am, well the answer is still the same! Did not read my request for help, they could care less and flat out lied about the timing of my payment. And for the record the payment cleared my account in the same 2 days on the 2nd as normal not the 3rd. If I did really pay on the 1st, as they stated not the 31 I've paid the near One million dollars in on time payments with only a couple of exceptions, nearly unbelievable considering years of tenants paying late and on and on... but to them I am nothing.

Absolutely the worst. They say they help. Not here. Was offered assistance through a buyback program. Applied for short sale. Was approved all the way to the closing table then Ocwen would not provide docs needed. Thrown from person to person. They tried to say full disclosure was not made by us. A reputable company realtor and myself in contact with them through the whole process. Called the ombudsman. Got nowhere. Received a letter stating they were not aware of buyback as they sent my realtor approval simultaneously, then told it was in their legal department. Continued to call then sent a letter of denial for not making the deadline! All the while calling and getting the runaround!! Truly upsetting.

My loan through OCWEN was paid off at the beginning of March 2018 and I am still waiting to receive my escrow refund of almost $800.00. I have called several times and have been told that it was mailed out on 3/15/18 as to which I still have not received as of today. I always get a non-speaking English person when I call and was told once that they were putting a stop payment on the check and re-issuing another one to me. I was then told the next day that I had to wait 30 day in order for them to re-issue another check. I don't know what to do about getting my refund!

OCWEN is the WORST company EVER! We have been trying to work with them for over a year - No one in that company understands their business - EVERYONE we speak to gives us DIFFERENT conflicting information - Our modification keeps getting denied and each time we call we are told it is for a different reason. All the errors we have encountered are Ocwen's and we can not reach anyone competent enough to help us. They just keep asking us to fill out the same paperwork OVER and OVER and OVER again OR write appeal letter after appeal letter. We are ready to file formal complaints against this company.

I have had nothing but horrible experiences with OCWEN. When I call, I always get a non-English speaking person. There is no accurate accounts of discussions put into the system. I called on a Monday to discuss a hardship. Called back on Thursday of the same week and the rep stated that there was no record of my phone call. I was late on a payment and when I called to make the payment, they refused. This now goes on my credit report as paying late for 60 days.

Well today 3/24/18 I leave OCWEN handle my escrow (going to change). Today I get my mortgage bill in the mail & again like the last few months it has gone up & I did not know why. Well today I went over everything & come to find out instead of my escrow going down like it should have because my insurance was costing me over $1200 a year & I found another company that gave me more coverage for only $765.00 year & I got my taxes lowered also. Well today I find out that I now have no homeowners insurance because apparently OCWEN canceled it & signed me up for their homeowners insurance but get this, their insurance ONLY covers the house structural & nothing else so says the guy I talked with & yes I got pissed & told him off & then he said, "I will switch you to a manager because this is not right." & so he switched me to her (Holly **).
Well she contradicted most everything the guy said & said to give her to Monday to get things worked out. Well I was pissed & I said, "Tell me what happens if a match is set to the house? I lose everything & you all are covered & it's been this way for 2 months without anyone notifying me of this." And said, "HOW by law are you all allowed to do this?" She said, "Sorry & give me till Monday to get it worked out." & I said ok. WELL I get off the phone with her & about a half hour later the sheriff shows up at my door & said I told them I was going to burn my house down & I told the deputy, "Yea right. If I do that I would lose everything that I own," & explained everything & he agreed & left. REAL NICE OCWEN! TRY AGAIN! It seems like this company is doing EVERYTHING to make me lose my home & I never missed a payment.
I called them (OCWEN) almost 2 years ago about doing a home hope program because my home is only worth $65000 thousand & I owe $128 thousand (Had a appraisal done) & sent them all paperwork & all 4 times they kept saying they did not receive it or could not find certain pages or I sent in the wrong items that they wanted but I sent exactly what they wanted & never nothing would happen so I gave up. I am telling you this, the reason this company wants us to lose our home is because they have insurance & it covers them if I walk away & on top of it they can then sell it & make more $ so it's a win win for this company. Well I am going to start filing any complaints that I can & ANY place I can about this company because OCWEN YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET AWAY WITH IT!

Our mortgage was turned over to them for bankruptcy claim and they increased our monthly payment without notifying us and now we are on our feet again, we are in jeopardy of refinancing because of their tacking on late fees when we have continued to pay our previous monthly rate religiously for 8 years!!! They are a blood-sucking immoral institution!

I originally had a loan with another mortgage company who sold it and resold it until Ocwen got it. I was in the process of refinancing when the market fell apart at which time Ocwen wanted nothing to do with a refinance and cut the process off just prior to setting up the final appointments. Due to financial issues I was unable to get caught up on the ARM and did a loan modification. It was still difficult and I ended up in Ch 13 but again did another loan finance in 2017. After 3 months of on-time payments I received a letter saying the modification was no longer valid because I didn't submit it timely. I followed the directions that said it could be sent in or "the first payment made on time" would be sufficient.
There was another clause somewhere saying to sign. However the very front in the modification was clearly stating a payment would be a form of acceptance - which I made timely. Even my attorney thought it was bogus but said to work with Ocwen to do another loan modification. I did and again submitted everything by the due date for this newest modification in 2018. Today my attorney got a set of letters from Ocwen saying the modification was rescinded for not being submitted timely. I am now pursuing legal action against Ocwen if they do not repair this error of THEIRS.
My only conclusion is the attempt to again force me into another modification so that again the loan payment will go up. I am also submitting a complaint with the CT State's Attorney's Office as well as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. According to their records there have been over 25,000 complaints against Ocwen. The CT State's Attorney General has litigated against them twice in the last 2 years. I have been treated very badly by their representatives in the modification. They suddenly stopped in 2017 when I called to complain.

We came home today to find a Notice of Foreclosure taped to our front door. We've been in bankruptcy, chapter 13 for over 2 years. We've make our trustee payment every month and Ocwen acknowledges with a receipt that they send us. The letter states that our home goes up for auction 4/18/18. We called Ocwen asap and they said they have NO record of our bankruptcy. How can this be when they cash monthly payment.

I like dealing with Ocwen Customer Services. They're thorough, friendly, knowledgeable and patient. Received an auto mortgage payment receipt for the month of March from a closed bank account. I had failed to update my auto payment with OCWEN. I called to advise them of this oversight. Your customer service assured me and walked me thru the steps to make corrections. Ocwen loan servicing has been my mortgage company for a few years now. I listen to other people talking about their mortgage companies and they always sound so terrible and unforgiving. Ocwen on the other hand has been nothing but helpful, understanding and respectful of me and my situation and, In my opinion, has bent over backwards to make it all work for me. My relationship manager seems to really care about my account and she gets an excellent rating but Ocwen itself gets a 1 rating because I don't like their customer service, their loan modification laws. I've applied at least 7 times and each time I'm denied. I would not recommend Ocwen to a friend.

Had done a loan modification years ago when my mortgage was with GMAC. After many years property values decreased and the interest rate increased much I was not able to make the payment. Decided to remodify the loan in 2017. Absolutely could not believe they would not offer a principal reduction at all even though all they were charging interest on top of interest that had been converted to principal. The principal balance was so high it disqualified me for Government modification. When the loan got remodified they INCREASED my payment. I just don't see the sense in that.
I asked them to unmodify it and they said they cannot do that. Why would anyone modify their mortgage to lower the payment and end up with a higher payment? Is this even legal? Now how much sense does that make? Then within a few months it went even higher? To an additional $800 more! They said it was due to a shortage in the impound account for property taxes. I am now being foreclosed on and have only another 45-60 days before I lose my home. I raised 7 children in this home... it's such a shame.

Most of us work Monday through Friday. I had an issue with my bank (they closed my branch close to me). I receive my statements online and seldom monitor this so once or twice a year, my funds get low in my one account. I have two accounts with the same credit union. To my dismay I realized my payment was not processed for insufficient funds. I have (**.000.00) readily in my other account. I thought they would be linked but they are not. I tried calling Ocwen so I could change the accounts over the weekend. No customer service on the weekend to talk to.
What makes this problem worse is that there is a three hour time difference so when I get home from work, most often, you guys are closed for customer service during normal working hours. I am sure I am not the only one that has this issue. Overall, you have been a very good company to work with. I only have 2 years left on my maturity of the loan. What would also be nice is to partner with some insurance companies for home insurance. Make it easier on us shopping for better rates and give us your loyal customers a competitive rate. This way we stay loyal with our loans. Thank you.

I recently had my mortgage adjusted due to a change in my property tax rate. I submitted all required paperwork in November of 2017, but did not have an actual adjustment made to my mortgage payment until February 2018. And the adjustment was only made after I called Ocwen to follow-up on my request. After speaking with an agent, I was assured that the servicing department would be notified about my request. The problem I had with the process is simply that all adjustments should have been made once Ocwen received the necessary paperwork, and some type of acknowledgment made via e-mail that the changes will be/have been made. It's all about simple communications with the customer. The company IKEA does an excellent job of updating customers with 'advisory e-mails'. In the end, I am now satisfied that the adjustments to my mortgage have been made.

Over the years Ocwen has held my mortgage. Every time I have called with a question they have answer it almost immediately. If not, they have returned my call immediately with correct information. Never had a problem with Ocwen. They also keep me up to date on any programs I may qualify for to assist in my payments. Thank you.

I had Ocwen for over 14 years and 9 months. I thought they were great till I went to sell my house. They reported me as late when documents show otherwise. They said they would repair their mistakes and correct it in the credit bureaus. LIES! It’s been over 60 days. I ask to speak to a supervisor in the US, I get disconnected or put on forever hold, never am able to speak to someone in US. Now I am having to begin legal proceedings to get this corrected. In the meantime I am unable to buy a house because of their mistakes!

My mortgage was transferred to Ocwen from AHMSI. I have been very happy with Ocwen. At one point they offered me a step-rate mortgage which really helped me get my mortgage back on track. I was offered help last year, but ended up being able to get through my hard time. They are friendly & courteous when I call. I have had no problems with them. I would definitely recommend Ocwen to friends and family.

I was totally distracted by the actions and statements of my former wife the first week of this month and I turned my attention away from my real responsibilities. I tried getting my escrow done as I requested and ask for a mortgage refinance and they would not hear of it. So I went elsewhere and now saving over 1400.00 monthly. Never would recommend them. Let's see how long it takes to get the money they owe me from escrow and Suspense Balance. Hopefully they give me interest like they charge daily.

When Ocwen assumed our second mortgage several years ago I wasn't sure what to expect. The process was seamless. Now, we are on the cusp of paying off the loan and reflecting on our experience with this company. Unlike our first mortgage holder, whom I will not name and will NEVER do business with again, Ocwen was willing to work with us when we suffered a devastating health issue approximately 7 years ago. They were not threatening or judgmental when we fell behind on our payments due to our (at that time) current health situation and inability to work. Their customer service has always been easy to deal with and they treat the individual, not the loan number! I highly recommend this company for your homeowner needs!

I received a prompt and accurate response about my "paid in full statement." I was also pleased about how quickly my response came via e-mail,1 business day, and I was ready to contact my city tax assessor to find out exactly what procedures I needed to follow. I was happy because what I thought would be a "headache" was no problem at all.
