    New Day financial and the staff made this process so simple from start to finish. The approval process was thorough and complete. This part of the process was quickly completed. When I decided to purchase a home the market was slow and the inventory of homes for sale in the areas I was looking was not in abundance. When I finally found a home, from the bid to the closing again went very quickly. 28 days to be exact.     My experience with Julian was flawless! Everything was dealt with far above & beyond my expectations!! Throughout this, very little was expected & he answered any & all questions I had! Turns out that when the money went into my bank directly my daughter Maelee started a new job as an Ambulance technician. I was able to send her money she needed to get the items she needed knowing it would help our relationship as well!     I think the staff at New Day I worked with tried to help as much as they could. They were honest and forthright with all my questions.     The company you use to disperse checks is not a reputable company according to Chase Bank, Advantage credit card for now. Chase put a 10 day hold on the check advantage credit card. Text, email, phone messages nothing. Here I am two weeks later after closing and I still haven’t received the money promised that it would be overnighted. I even signed for it to be electronically sent but no fees back from your company. This man's lack of concern and/or interest in fulfilling New Day's commitment to assist me in the loan process was unbelievably sad...especially given his position. I followed up 4 days ago and was assured I would be hearing from "Him" no later than Tuesday, December 6th. Well, today is December 9th and I have yet to receive one reply to my numerous emails, voice mail messages and texts.

    I am so very disappointed in the the performance of the New Day USA's staff, lack of follow up and overall communication. As a Woman, a Veteran and a previous New Day Client, I would hope that Admiral Lynch will take this review to heart and look into why I was treated so poorly. A simple email, phone call or text to me from New Day would have made every difference. Ignoring me, especially after I called and complained, was just wrong.

    Closing agent told us the settlement company would mail checks. We called Anthony ** and never got a call back. We called again, and again until we reached him. Anthony told us the closing rep wasn’t correct and he would call the following day to coordinate the FedEX package being mailed to us in VA, where we were working during the week. No call, and FedEX was sent to NC requiring a very long, overnight drive to retrieve the checks to be mailed. Our settlement date was delayed by nearly 2 weeks due to an oversight by Anthony and no calls back, despite being assured he would call. We referred my Aunt and Mother to Anthony because he was wonderful at the beginning, but once we signed off there was ZERO follow through. Terribly disappointed and now we get the honor of a month of less income by having to pay bills that should have been paid off by our loan. We’ve faced financial loss, and that’s not acceptable.

    Was really disappointed in the service. The constant delays and the lack of communication. Started off with an agent, halfway through was assigned to another agent. Constant delays, not by me. Requested documents were immediately send. I was held up by the "Title Company" without explanation. After constantly hounding them as to reason for the delay. It was learned, delay was over a shared driveway..That took 2 seconds to resolve, but had me waiting nearly 2 weeks after I was notified of my approval.

    I was really disappointed in the service. I kept hearing about the "Admiral", and his commitment to the veteran. At the end of the day, the "Admiral" charged me and made a considerable profit off of my refi. I believe NewDay, should compensate me for the unnecessary, "running" around I had to do. It seemed they were more interested in "their" bottom line, than helping a veteran.

It’s all about TRUST with us veterans: for myself, personally, having been spared my life at age 23: surviving [Tet] in I Corps: with the 26th Marines at Khe Sanh, Con Thien and Hill 881N on Easter Sunday, 1968, I simply cannot make any decision absent the feelings of being [safe] and sensing [trust]. Closing was effortless: [Ted] arraigned for me to meet with an established NOTARY in my area; they contacted me and a meeting at the local library was scheduled. Everything went smoothly and as planned.

    The mortgage was finalized a few days later without a single problem....with NewDay USA, one has THREE DAYS to then decide to follow through with or, or refuse the mortgage. Funny thing is, as the borrower, I ALWAYS felt in complete control of all business... again, safe and secure in the trust of [Ted] ** and NewDay USA.     Everything went very smooth, the exception of the appraisal, the company that you used I feel did not get a true picture of the current market, both of the homes used for comparison had sold more than six months ago and were not a true picture of the current market. This caused our loan to be lower than anticipated so that we did not get as much out of the home to allow us to do what we were planning.

    Also at the beginning of April our rep sent an email that we might get to close around the 12th. On the 22nd he requested that I get the Insurance checklist as the insurance company would not release it to you. On the 25th I faxed you the copy, on the 26th he requested a pay-off from the current loan company. I was able to provide it later that night and was told that we should be able to close on the 28th. That’s over 16 days from the estimated closing date, and I had to do the final legwork to make it happen on the 28th.     I was disappointed that I didn't get the 3.65 interest rate. When we started this back in December I was under the impression I was going to be locked into that rate but as time went on I noticed on a new set of paperwork that it had not been locked in and the rate was now 4.25. I was told his system wouldn't allow him to lock the 3.65 in but we locked in the 4.25. Like I said I started this in December because I couldn't close until March because of previous refi.     We finally closed on 11/9 after an original closing date of 10/2. It stated in the contract that New Day would pay property taxes out of closing. They sent the funds to our county tax office a week later on 11/16 then they turned around and canceled the check on 11/22. When they got the funds back, there was a charge of $427 from our old mortgage company that they reappropriated from our tax money. They did not notify us of any of this and still have not provided documentation to back up this claim. Two months later on 2/18 they refunded the balance of our tax money.

    March 10 a delinquent tax notice was sent to us with late charges and interest. I verified that this was correct with the court house and called New Day immediately to find out what happened. They have taken no responsibility for this, will not answer questions and they kept saying they would send out payment, but the charge would be added to our payment broken up over a year. For the full amount. Six weeks later and another round of penalties were added to the bill and no payment. I went ahead and paid it late fees and all. After multiple calls and conversations with New Day which resulted in no answers or any sort of resolution.

    First of all, to begin I would like to commend Alexis ** for her professionalism, communication skills and help in getting through this extremely tedious process. She is a true professional and I would highly recommend her. My negative review has to do with this overall process which is labor some, repetitive and in many cases, redundant. It took me three months to get through this process and I experienced a rate increase while working on getting information together. The appraisal process in Alabama was also a delay for at least 5 to 6 weeks. What was really frustrating is providing the same information and documents over and over and over. It was very frustrating. In many cases information was easily verified without having to go through the same steps again.

    The only reason I went to NewDay is because I am a veteran. At one point I almost canceled the process and decided to pay a higher rate with my bank. Had it not been for Alexis I would have done so. Even at my closing, there were two documents that Madeline and I had to sign giving NewDay permission to obtain information that was already included in the closing documents! Let me make myself clear, the information was already obtained and in the package. I envision a group of accountants/underwriters sitting in a room with green shades pouring over documents to justify something that has already been acquired. If you see the value of my home and the amount of the loan against the value, coupled with my credit ratings and assets, this loan would be a no brainer for any company. I have to say, overall, this process really needs to be overhauled, streamlined and improved for your customers. Best regards, Greg

    THIS TOOK WAY WAY UNORGANIZED. WHEN I CLOSED I WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE CLOSING DATE. Other than having to explain the same thing over and over and over to these loan officers like asked and answered I literally had to justify my credit cards 3 different times why was the first time not good enough it took way too long. Also on the night of the closing your man left the office and did send my title company all the needed documents to close. I don't you people really gotta fix your customer service habits, develop a culture, not this crap we had to deal with. I WILL NEVER USE NEW DAY AGAIN FOR A LOAN UNLESS SOMEONE CAN EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THIS WAS ALL JACKED UP. Absolutely below the standard Admiral Lynch.     The process started out on 11/15/21 with a phone call from our Account Executive. He stated “the Admiral wants you to know that there will be no out-of-pocket expenses” and told us the documents he needed. I stated that the reason we didn’t complete doing business with New Day before was the representative before went on vacation and the process stalled as no one else there could continue the process; he stated he was sorry for that and someone on his team would always be available to keep the loan moving. Within the first week we were told that WE needed to pay for a “termite inspection” and a water test. When I questioned it I was told if we didn’t pay, it would delay the closing by weeks!

    One of the documents we provided was a mortgage payment history. It showed the previous years payments WERE MADE ON TIME, but several payments were reversed AFTER RECEIVING by the mortgage company and re entered IN HOUSE OF THE MORTGAGE COMPANY because of THEIR bookkeeping reasons. It was put upon us to find out why they did this AFTER RECEIVING THE PAYMENTS ON TIME! What companies do with funds paid to them after they receive them is NOT NewDays business; much less putting the responsibility on the client to find out information NOT GERMANE to the closing!

    The Account Executive went on vacation from 12/16/21- 1/3/22 (which was the intended closing date) and the contacts he gave never responded to my calls or emails during that period! After finally given the reason for the payment history, we were then questioned about a bankruptcy that we disclosed from 14 YEARS PRIOR! Seven years is the norm and ten is extreme, but 14 YEARS?

    Next, we needed to come up with a “Driveway Maintenance Agreement. We’ve been in this property for 20 years and always paid for it. The neighboring properties have changed hands twice and we’ve never had a problem, but the “Rub” is: the Account Executive knew back in November that we shared a driveway and never mentioned this document would be needed and wanted to see if the underwriter would require it! He scheduled the closing again and said it would take place on a Friday, then moved it to Saturday, then Monday, then Tuesday. There is a lot more I could go into but the pattern is clear: the process started with a lie, had more deception as we went, requested information and delayed the process unreasonably, and put us through undue pressure and stress!

    We started the process positively, I became more and more negative as the situation progressed; and am now feeling so violated and bitter that I have completely lost any faith in NewDay USA to the point that I will warn every veteran I know to stay as far away from them as possible as it causes more stress than PTSD! Though mine wasn’t service related, this process awakened every I’ll feeling and bad thought and nightmare I’ve ever had to the point of wanting to inflict physical violence on the perpetrators!! I pray nobody else has to go through anything like we endured from a company that claims to be an advocate for veterans!!! And yes; I’ve kept the emails, texts, and phone records and will only share them with other veterans who are contemplating this horrible company!!!!!
