    Got our mortgage through NewDay but after refusing to refinance from 2.25% to 6.5% they sold our mortgage after telling us when we originally financed that they wouldn’t. I wish the leadership would look into this and stop saying we are here for the veterans until it isn’t so.

    From day one, NewDay USA could not handle my escrow account, totally incompetent. They could never seem to do the simple task of knowing what my insurance and expenses were and tailoring that to my payment so my escrow account would be right when they were due. Now they have sold my loan to freedom mortgage and prior to selling my loan inadvertently paid a $5200 Insurance bill to a company I have canceled. I am still in the process of getting my refund and all seems to be going well with the insurance company after a three way conversation with new day and the insurance company I have canceled with. New day admitted the wrong payment was their fault and made it the wrong time due to an incompetent staff. I would never do business with NewDay again, and hopefully I will be thankful that they sold my loan to freedom mortgage before this is all over!

    I have had several VA loans in my 75yrs. This has been the most expensive I have ever experienced. Every week or so I have been requested to go thru another inspection and repair. We got a VA loan 5 years ago on this same house and did not go thru this much anguish and frustration and expense. We were told that we would wind up with $10K in the bank but only got a little over $4K. Plus the payoff in bills was supposed to be complete but several checks was less than actually less than owed an we did not charged on them. I have left messages for Blane ** and he is busy and have not gotten a call back yet. He usually calls back promptly.

    We encountered several projects along the way and many of them could have been prevented by doing the simple things like entering all of the income in the beginning rather than waiting to tell us our income didn't meet the requirements.     Phillip ** has been great - mortgage has been closed and I set up autopay BUT I still have one thing that seems to be a problem with someone failing to complete the final checks I need in order to finish the financial problems I have incurred. When I ask about checks a lot of pointing fingers and blaming someone else. If this is not done quickly, I stand to lose thousands of dollars all because no one wants to do a simple final task. Everything went well except for this and why, I don't know and no one wants to take responsibility. It's always someone else or a different department. I need my checks ASAP, THIS WEEK.
