VA REFI. Admiral, Tyler ** and the rest of your team did an outstanding job helping my wife and I leave Wells Fargo, at a 5% interest rate, to you good folks at New Day USA. Tyler was very professional and kept us "in the loop" at all times on the progress of the new mortgage. He called at least 2-3 times a week and guided us on what and how to sign electronic documents via the internet. Tyler did a stellar job and I recommend he be considered for promotion in the future. Account Executive, Giuseppe (Joe) ** is absolutely superb. Handled all aspects of refinance in a professional, knowledgeable, and competent manner. All documents were forwarded in a timely manner, necessary follow up questions handled quickly, and closing was very efficient. I'm very pleased with his services, he made it easy for me. Mr. ** expedited my paperwork and loan and kept me inform of the loans progress; what was needed and approximately how long it would take to close the loan. I had accumulated debt over the years from one to another family events, trying to help my kids and live life. First time I applied through your company it appears to have been a Goat Rope. I received a letter saying I had withdrawn my request, which was untrue. Second time was different. Trevor kept me informed, of every thing and talked me through changes. I felt treated with respect, with being informed it moved much faster leading to a successful outcome. I have nothing but praise for Trevor B. M. Only problem occurred trying to mail out the checks sent to payoff my bills. To ensure their delivery the expenses of insuring the checks were way too expensive. I didn’t have the spare money to do that. I had to send them out on a????
I feel if the money was instead deposited in my account it could have been much easier and safer. I have two banks I deal with, I could have transferred the largest amount to pay the EFCU loan off without risking that in a delivery method. Heck Trevor could have done it with my account information I could have given to him to ensure delivery and my intent to payoff all these accounts. At this moment we’re at the honesty of a parcel delivery service. I hope they make their destination.

My experience with New Day was great and professional. From the beginning to the end was very professional. I would highly recommend New Day to my veteran friends in the future. The closing was a little long in signing the refinance papers, but when the closing was done, I can say the closer was exceptional.

We tried to refinance our home with NewDay TWICE. The first time, the loan rep said I didn’t have enough time at my current job to approve the loan. The rep recommended waiting 6 more months and then reapply. We followed her advice and then got directed to a new rep. My husband and I BOTH explained our situation several times. He looked at our file and assured us that the time with my new employer was sufficient. Two months later, hours spent getting the documents to them, home appraisal, etc., we received a call from Kyle that my time of employment was not long enough. I am BEYOND frustrated with New Day USA. We will not be returning to them for future financing.

From start to finish when dealing with your representative, Nicholas **, my wife and I felt safe, secure and confident in our refinancing path. I cannot say enough about Nick's professionalism and the personal manner in which he treated us as we quickly progressed to the approval stage. We went from 3.75% to 2.875% and could not be happier. That would not have been possible without Nick's support every step of the way.

My account manager was named Derrick L **. He was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly and answered my questions in a very timely basis. Ashton was awesome! The whole loan process was quick and painless. The paperwork required was minimal and all interactions (except closing) was done digitally. We even closed at our home. I received several calls during the process - just to update me on the status. The whole process and timeline was explained in detail - and accurate. I highly recommend Newday!!!

We had a great experience with the refinancing of our loan. We were paying a higher interest rate and decided to take advantage of the lower interest rates. We contacted New Day and worked with Nick from start to finish. He was very helpful, informative, friendly, and professional in all of our interactions. Great service. I appreciate my loan officer Nicholas very attentive service he provided during the process of the refinancing. I was in the process with another company. It was frustrating not able to get a response from the loan officer assigned. She never returned my calls or emails. I got a lower rate and great service from New Day.

The process for refinancing our VA mortgage was very easy to accomplish. Phil ** kept us informed and although he was out sick a couple days, Lucas ** maintained the process without a hitch. I had first contacted our mortgage holder to inquire about refinancing and they informed me that my rate would most likely go up not down so I then contacted NewDayUSA and Phil ** contacted me almost immediately. The process was nearly effortless and even the signing process was a pleasure because of the professionalism and friendliness of the signing agent. Thanks NewDayUSA.

I'm a Retired Navy 1st Class Electrician's mate. I served our Great Country for 21 yrs 6 months and 28 days. Spent 12 yrs 2 months on ships. 2 Aircraft carriers, LCU-1, LHA and 3 Minesweeps. His professionalism and knowledge was excellent!! I do have one piece of advice to the creators of your survey. Do not place minimums on how many words customers should have to write. Most people tend to get turned off by having to write so much on surveys and part of the reason they choose not to do surveys.

Newday did what they said they would do and we closed the first part of April 2020. The loan costs with Newday was a lot cheaper than with other lenders. They asked for a minimum amount of paperwork from me and that was greatly appreciated. Thanks for all your good work.

I was delighted with the entire process. It was really hassle free. Your agents explained everything, and called periodically to keep me informed on the status of the loan. All document processing until the final closing was handled electronically, and at the end your staff arranged to send a notary right to our house! The whole process was a big improvement over our last loan. Best of all, we will save about $360 a month!

Their TV commercial says "no income verification". That is a lie. They ran our credit then informed us that we missed their income by $2000 per year. My wife and I have been married for over twenty-six years and owned four houses and never missed a mortgage payment. Go with Loan United.

All in all it was a very professional and quick moving process. Being done electronically was very easy and once understood how it worked was very efficient. We worked with Nick ** who is more than familiar with the process and assured us that as steps to get the loan were taken, that everything looked good and reassured us everything was as it needed to be. Our only concern was the "cash to mortgage" on the loan estimate which he said would probably go away once all the final figures were in. Probably was a little concerning to me, but Nick knew that that figure was only an estimate if any information would change during the process.
The loan amount was actually less than what we needed and with Nick's advice we locked in our new rate which was lower than a couple of days earlier. NewDay has served us well and we recommend them from our own experience and also of other people who have used them. As veterans, both my wife and I, give NewDay a five star rating along with Nick ** who made it all happen, thanks guys!

I was lied too many times. Marshal ** and his boss Alec **. This caused closing to not be on March 31, but April 3. It was known by New Day USA since February 2020 to be for March 31 2020. I did not receive final closing disclosure at all. I only saw final numbers when at closing. At that point cash to closing had changed from a little more than $6000. To over $8000. I was also informed that even though my credit score was over 750 and interest rates had dropped with the fed. I could not get into the 2s without "buying points" another $2000. Many things were VERY sub-par. This is Not my first home purchase, but is my last ever deal with New Day USA!!

Charles ** was informative, knowledgeable and professional throughout. There were times when I was going to forego this process and use my own bank but his assistance and explanations helped me understand the process. I originally was going to just refi and lower my payment but my spouse credit caused us to use another program. I can tell you there are few things worse than settling on something. This is our second experience with NewDayUSA. We did a VA refi with NewDayUSA 2 years ago; and with the current low mortgage interest rates, it was a good time to take advantage of the VA IRRRL Refi program to further lower our mortgage interest rate. As a result working with Emily we were originally offered a 3.5% rate; but when the Fed lowered the Treasury rate 100 basis points, she was able to lock us in a 3.24%!! The net result: We are saving almost $6,000 a year on our mortgage/escrow payments!! We couldn't be happier with NewDayUSA and Emily. We have since recommended several other veterans who could benefit from the NewDayUSA VA IRRRL Refi program. Arne **

My loan officer Alyis ** provided courteous and timely services. He came through on all areas discussed and so did NewDay USA. Unlike my then current lender, NewDayUSA did not tell me to go out and get an offer from another company and then they would beat it; New Day pitched their lowest rate for my credit rating and let the chips fall where they may. I could of gone back to PennyMac with NewDayUSA's offer and gotten a slightly lower rate, but I was so impressed with their honesty and services that I accepted their Rate Lock in and refinanced with NewDayUSA,, Great Job Admiral.

I truly had a great experience doing the VA Streamline ReFi and the customer service was awesome. We have done business with NewDay USA before and we trust this company very much. One concern was when the Fed dropped the interest rate by .50 we were not able to take advantage of it as per our NewDayUSA Agent who stated does not apply to ReFi transactions; however, Rocket Mortgage advertises if the interest rate drops before closing, the client will receive the lower rate. It would have been nice to receive the lower rate which would have saved us some money.

I finally succumbed to the daily mail from New Day to refi my home. My first contact was not very professional. In fact, I had to call back many times to find out if anyone was interested in helping me. Finally, I made contact with Randall ** and he was very helpful, although I could tell that I was not his only customer, but he did persevere. Overall, thanks to Randall, it was a good experience.

Our contact was Armon **, who was great. Armon was very patient, and remained professional even in the face of my and my wife's expressed frustration during the process. The only suggestion I have for Armon or anyone in his position, is to have them do the document e-sign process a couple times to become familiar. It was not clear right away to us that the document review is first and only THEN does the document to be signed appear, and signing takes place. To us, it appeared that the document didn't have the live links needed to sign - but in reality we were looking at the review section. I think it caused your IT folks to work unnecessarily, to figure out why. If Armon had been more familiar, he could have helped us figure that out more quickly. It's a small thing, but rather important to everyone's experience.
We both want to emphasize that Armon did a great job and was super responsive! He even learned a bit of our police 10 code! As for the loan process itself, there were a few requests from the processor and/or underwriter, that were a bit ridiculous and quite burdensome for us to respond to. At least one, which would have required our tax accountant to respond that my wife's sole proprietor LLC (law enforcement consulting business) was in fact active. We had to point out how illogical and frankly impossible the request was, and it was ultimately dropped. Overall, we are grateful for the terms of the loan and happy that we pursued the refinance through NewDay USA.

Excellent experience! Kyle H., our mortgage representative, was excellent. We learned how much we could save and all the information regarding or estimated new mortgage was delivered on our first phone call. He kept us in the loop and the communication was excellent. We were able to do all paperwork, save the closing, electronically. In less than 2 weeks, we closed on our new lower mortgage! The actually new mortgage payment came in $50 lower than we expected. The closing agent came to us and all paperwork was signed in under 40 minutes. We lowered our payment by $200! So happy we chose New Day USA!

As a veteran I am typically very cautious about any company that states they are 'vet friendly' as many have proven not to be. From the first call with NewDay USA, my agent was responsive, concerned and timely with all aspects of the transaction. Being a real estate investor, I have had so many terrrible experiences with lenders that I hate the thought of starting a new relationship. Neil was excellent and stayed in contact with me on every step. Additionally, the process was not drawn-out. We closed very quickly which as you know, is a giant cash flow advantage. Thank you all for your professionalism and for being a true advantage for veterans.

VA Loan. I want to thank you for all your time and your interest in help me get through the process of my home refinance. Today my wife and me were review all this process, that in today financial market is really too complicated, for any person, special if you are a Vietnam veteran. I want to express my sympathy to your organization, and to all your staff and technical support for the extraordinary work accomplishment and for the high professional teamwork. I am a retired Business professor of the University of Puerto Rico, I really valuated all this organization, philosophy and principles, committed to help our veterans on their financial needs for the refinance of their homes, and the way to made veterans qualify for get the best opportunity to finance his home.

I was particularly pleased with Nick's assistance through the refinance process. He kept us totally informed daily of the status and when we could expect to close. These VA refinance offers from NewDay USA are pure **. The offer letters arrive on what resembles official military letterhead with a retired admiral's imposed signature. However, the offer letter utterly fails to mention anything about terms, conditions, or fees. Looking at NewDay USA's "Top Lenders" you see Veterans United, Veterans First, Freedom Mortgage, and Quicken Loans. These companies are, in many opinions, NOTORIOUS for deceptive lending practices, extremely high fees, and poor business ethics. Just compare their interest rates to the APR. It's a ripoff! Run away from these predatory lenders. They don't care that you are a veteran. They just want your money.

My account executive at New Day USA is Mister Dawit **. What a cool guy! And a fine gentleman!! I had him jumping thru all kinds of hoops but he never got flustered or irritable or impatient... walked me thru every detail and even helped me learn to use that wacky pdf filing system. I'm sure I was a real headache for him but he was Dawit-on-the-spot. Couldn't ask for a more knowledgeable guy. Give him a raise and the rest of the week off. I LOVE my new loan, Admiral, Sir!!!

I worked with Angelo ** who was greatly helpful and helped me through the process of refinancing my condo. There were several parts of the process that became frustrating, such as incremental addition of documents. Also, Although the NewDaty TV commercial says "no income verification" and "no appraisal" -- and, although I had no specific issue with providing the information -- I did nave to submit such information and a home appraisal was needed to complete the process.

The experience was quite frustrating. The loan officer and loan processing officer were always pleasant and constantly working on having the loan processed. The problem was the last minute demands from the underwriter that placed us and your staff in a crisis mode. It took 5 months after receiving the pre approval letter before we had a certified closing date!

Things were going great until the holidays hit at the end of Nov and Dec. What would have taken about 4 to 6 weeks ended up taking over 9. Frustration. After closing (ours was the largest amount of paper they had ever done) then there was a 3 day waiting period?? Why? Then things went quick and easy.

My wife and I both had great jobs, and they paid us very well for what we did, but over time we accumulated a large amount of credit card debt. We were making good progress on paying the accounts off, but I was forced to retire due to medical issues, and my wife struggled with her work trying to make up for our loss of income. Little by little we started to struggle with paying our debts but now could only afford to pay the minimum due. We were now just living paycheck to paycheck. It happened so fast.
Our house had quite a bit of equity so we attempted a cash out refinance. Our current lender assured us that they could do a refinance for us, and because they already had the mortgage it would be a quick, easy process with only the minimum paperwork required. Then after we began the process they started delaying things, requiring more and more documentation and wasted time. By this point we had already spent 3 months waiting for loan approval. When they stopped contacting me, I called them and received more excuses. So I watched an ad for New Day on TV, and gave them a call. After explaining the situation with Amanda our agent, we began a new application. I had already been through the appraisal, pest inspection, and had all of the necessary paperwork already done with the current lender so I just sent copies of documents we had already completed.
Only 2 weeks later we already had a closing date with New Day USA. The whole process took only 18 Days, start to finish. Now all of our debt is paid off, we have a lot less bills each month, and now have over 2 thousand dollars less bills to pay each month. New Day was a great help for us, the people we worked with treated us like family, and improved our lives more than I can Express. Professional interaction. Finance officer, Joey ** was exceptionally competent and truly patient - consistently kept us apprised of the status of the loan and assisted with obtaining documents. The request for an extensive amount of documentation was a pain in the posterior, but not the fault of New Day, just the way the process works. It took 2 months but partly my fault and some of the ludicrous requirements. However, essentially a painless process. I would refer to New Day to any Veteran(s).

For days I've been seeing the NewDay USA commercials on television about no closing cost on fees refinancing and it always says call now and save $2,000 yearly. Well I called and was told that I did't qualify for that loan because I was not refinancing a VA loan. I was told that there was another refinance loan available. I was looking for a 15 year refinance on my condo which had a balance of $127,000. By the time the representative finished my new balance would $132,000 with an additional $400.00 to my monthly payment. Mind you I am not looking to take any money out of this loan. It did't sink in until I read the contract and have backed out.

I'm sure NewDay is very good at handling streamline refis, however I needed to refi from a conventional loan so my experience was a nightmare. I told the rep that I needed the refi to free up some cash to make repairs to my home. He said that was no problem. Turned out it was a huge problem. When the VA appraiser inspected the house, he wrote up all the repairs I had intended to correct with the proceeds from the loan. Then I was informed by my Newday rep that the repairs had to be completed BEFORE WE COULD CLOSE ON THE LOAN.
I told the rep I did not have $25,000 to get a new heat pump and complete the repairs and he told me to talk to the appraiser. When I addressed this with the appraiser he told me the LENDER COULD WAIVE THE REPAIR REQUIREMENT. I told my rep what the appraiser said and he said he would take it up with the underwriters. When he got back to me, he said they would not waive the requirement. So I was on the hook for a $450 appraisal fee and maybe much more with no money. In the end, I was able to get a HVAC contractor to install the heat pump system and wait until the loan closed to be paid, albeit at a premium price. The rest of the work was paid for on credit cards with the labor provided by me and my family. As a point of interest, I am 70 years old and have two disabled sons that live with me. Thank you for a three month nightmare Newday.
We appreciate your feedback. The appraisal process is certainly a large factor in the loan process. NewDay is unable to influence any appraiser or appraisal process, and is therefore unable to affect the appraised value of the home.

I felt like it was an okay process. The same as any other similar process, everyone needs to have their hands in it. I didn’t care for the underwriter changing my last name without asking. Ben knew my name was important to me as well as having my husband included. Ben ensured both of those were taken care of. I appreciate your company for doing a 100% loan. I did not like the appraiser that you hired. They didn’t care about their job and it was apparent. Maybe he was having a bad day. I’m not unhappy with your company about that.

Three months should be enough and getting docs over to the underwriter to review and approve would expedite. Hiring more and training personnel which would not overwhelm your staff.

Our loan officer was friendly but all rounds of paperwork were delayed since e-sign never worked but were still posted electronically instead of overnight mail. Still don't understand why an IT person couldn't have looked into it. Had some paperwork issues with closing out of my control which caused more delay but they worked through it with us.

I had sent the following comments to two people. I'll just forward them to you. The first was to Mr. Ben **. That's why it starts, "Hey Ben." Hey Ben, just wanted to take a few minutes and let you know about my loan experience with Kevin, which is overdue but had some pressing events in the family the past few weeks. First of all, this loan was not an easy endeavor. Not because of any situation with New Day or Kevin but unexpected situations that arose beyond any of our control. Because of these circumstances, the loan took about four or five months for issues to be resolved. When Kevin first advised me of the restriction, having to do with square footage that had to be addressed, I thought I would be able to get this resolved in a very short time. Little did I know that this issue would delay the loan process by months due to the unreasonable and, AH, I was dealing with.
I expected that Kevin would give up on me getting the issue resolved and move on to a, more less complicated, process with someone else. That didn't happen. Kevin advised me that, "Mr. Jerry, I'm hanging with you until we get this thing done" ....and he did. He never gave up on me or my persistence to push until something, or someone, broke. Although It cost me over a thousand dollars in legal fees and a lot of wasted time, we were successful.
Through this entire process Kevin was more than a loan agent to me, he was my friend. He consoled me with what I was being, needlessly, put through by the person I bought my property through. Here's an important factor you need to know. I'm 71 years old and my wife of 50 years is 74. I did 2 tours in Vietnam and retired after 35 years with fire/rescue in Seminole County, Florida. My wife is disabled with osteo and Rheumatoid arthritis, CHF and Parkinson's disease. She is very close to needing a walker or wheelchair. This loan was for a remodel of our home to make it handicapped usable.
After years of dealing with death and destruction on my job I have severe PTSD that I am under treatment for. I would get very depressed over the situation I was dealing with over the loan. If Kevin hadn't kept in contact with me and assured me that he was, in for the duration, I would of been a mental wreck. He never gave up on me and kept in close contact with me encouraging and assuring me, all the way, that he had my back. What you have in a representative like Kevin is not just a great company asset, but you have a great human being that has deep feelings and considerations for the people he comes in contact with. I told Kevin several times that, "Kevin, I wish you were my next door neighbor" and I really do. Actually, I intend on contacting Kevin every so often just to say hello and, maybe, chat a little.
Because of Kevin, I will, gladly, refer any veterans I know to New Day. I know this is very long but this few minutes is nothing as to the months of friendship I had with Kevin. This is the second time we have used New Day. A very excellent experience. Always professional and to the point. They were able to lower our current interest rate by 2% and saving us $200 per month. Everything was done online and in our home. The notary came to the house so we never had to travel to a financial institution to do any paperwork.

Agent was great to work with. Thought there were too many hoops to jump thru, but I guess when you're loaning many thousand of dollars one has to be careful. They do, However, make it seem easy in their t.v. ads. I did save approximately $650.00 per month which is a chunk of change. It's nice to have it all in one monthly payment instead of taxes and home insurance to pay above the mortgage costs.

I was very surprised by how easy and fast it was to refinance my home loan with New Day. Our rep was very helpful every step of the way. Mr. ** shepherded the entire transaction from inception to closing in a FLAWLESS manner. Everything was done on-time and efficiently. It was the very best refi we have ever undertaken in over 45 years of home ownership! Mr. ** was so good that he somehow managed to arrange a Notary for us on Christmas eve, locked in an incredible 2.75% 15-year loan, and we got our cash-out into our bank account on the last day of the year. If you are lucky, Maggi will handle your loan, she is amazing! I had waited on another "military friendly" lender for 2 months. Once I decided to go with NewDay, closed within a month! The only thing I recommend is to watch what gets "rolled into" the process. Anything you can pay now instead of adding to the loan balance is in your best interest.1

This is the worst company I have ever worked with. They are a bunch of liars. If you ever get Reece ** as your case manager...Stop. You do not want him helping you. He doesn’t use a phone to make sure everything is going ok. You can’t get ahold of him if you do call. He keeps asking you to send more copies of the same thing because it was “blurry”. Then tells you that you should be closing by a certain date and that you shouldn’t have to pay mortgage for the month. Well, shouldn’t have listened to him. He couldn’t close on time. I even reached out to VP Ben Taylor. Another waste of time. He said he would personally take care of us. He told me that we should be finalized by the New Year.
What he failed to tell me was that the whole company would be closed from the 23rd of Dec to Jan 2. The so called emergency after hours line is a waste of your time so don’t even call. This company says it helps Veterans. Don’t believe the commercials. We started our process the beginning of November. I am writing this review at the end of December and still nothing. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else. This has been a very frustrating process and has caused a lot of stress especially around the Holidays.
During the loan process, each document submitted is reviewed as a part of a complete loan package to ensure that the transaction is beneficial to the borrower. I PCS' from Ft Bragg NC to Forney TX. We arrived in Texas on Dec 1, 2019 and check into a hotel in Mesquite Tx. Our closing date was Dec 4, 2019. Our HouseHold Goods were to arrive at our home on Dec 6, 2019. Then we were told our closing date was changed to Dec 12, 2019., then it changed again to Dec 16, 2019. That being said, we stayed in the hotel for 18 days. By policy, the military only pays for 10 days travel for reimbursement for lodging and meals, so the other 8 days, we have to come out of pocket, which was close to 1000 dollars. Those addition 8 days caused a financial hardship to the family, plus our two kids were out of school for the whole month of December because they couldn't enroll.
We were told about the laws of Texas when it comes to appraisals and closing. If we were told about the laws of Texas, we possibility would have waited a few more weeks before we arrived, thinking we were to close on Dec 4, 2019 and the kids could have remained in school, plus we could have been more financially prepared. All of this is going to Christmas holidays. It was a lot to deal with for the family.

Nothing but problems. I was dealing with Paul and he has no communication skills. We were looking to do a debt consolidation and Re-Fi. We had a mortgage company that couldn't get our escrow account right for the past 2 years and were tired of fighting with them. We received checks after closing to send off to our credit card and other loans we had. That was a process to go through all the checks and do all the leg work to get them sent off. Two of the checks were lost in transition. I was on the phone for over an hour just to talk to someone. Then I was told they can't access them they would have to look into it further. Which they should be able to do that with a couple of keys on their keyboard.
Once I had someone on the phone I was told that our New loan with New Day was in transition to another lender. Yes not even our first payment went through and they sold our loan. The real kicker is they sold our load back to our original mortgage company that we fought to get out from under. This was not an easy experience, everything was just a ** show. If this is how they do business with us veterans don't bother.

Went with a VA loan with agent Steve ** of New Day USA who was there for us step by step and if we had any questions, he actually answered the phone or if we texted Steve he would text us or call us back with an answer that we could relate. If you can give them the right paperwork that they ask for or have most of it ready, things will go smoother with less headaches. All I can say is if you're a Vet and you have half decent credit, you can own your own house with no down payment and with no BS. I would tell any Vet to jump on this deal.

We believe that the appraiser did not value our home as high as he should have. I know two real estate appraisers who would disagree with his appraisal. He did not give us credit for the upgrades and improved that we did had done to our property. There are smaller homes in our neighborhood that have recently sold for more money than what our appraisal came in at.

I've refinanced with NewDay in Nov 2019. I kinda feel like I've just had the bait and switch. I was told that I would receive a payout of around $3600.00. So I contacted the agent that I went through this morning 12/02/2019, To find out when would I be receiving my payout and I asked several times throughout the process of how much and when I would be getting it. Well come to find out that it is paid through the last mortgage company (MR COOPER) after they close out my account.

On August 14, 2019, we applied for a rate reduction on our New Day Loan with Benamin **. Our communication was very bad. At the end of September we called Ben. He told us that the papers had been lost. As a result, everything had to be redone and the locked-in rate of 31/2% would go up to 3-3-/4%. After a battle, he agreed to give us the 3-1/2%. Communications improved but we still had to leave messages weekly if we wanted information. We finally e-signed the closing papers on November 10 and signed in front of a notary on November 15. There have been no more communications. New Day did a great job on the original loan in 2018. It was processed in about 15 days.

My experience started out with me informing my Agent that in 2018 I didn't make as much as I had in previous years due to me transitioning back to my home town. I served 5 years active duty and 10 in the National Guard and was working a full time job at Ft. Bragg. It was time to get out and head back to Texas. My Agent insured me that it wouldn't matter and we proceeded with the loan paperwork.
After two weeks I was informed "I didn't make enough money in 2018" and was a "Risk"....a "risk". So I ask the Agent, "Why did you run my credit?" My credit is above 800 and in the two houses, multiple cars. I hadn't missed a payment...EVER! All my Credit Card bills paid in full every month, wive's students loans etc. He had no answer. Just "I didn't make enough money in 2018". So this company that barrages us with Tatiana and the Admiral and how great for Veterans they are, denied a Combat Veteran and Green Beret because I didn't make enough money in my TRANSITION OUT OF THE MILITARY?? On this Veterans Day, thanks Admiral, you are nothing but another lender. YOU DO NOTHING SPECIAL FOR VETERANS. NEW DAY USA IS A JOKE!

In the beginning everything was going smoothly but after 25 to 30 days into it I wasn't so sure I wanted to finish the loan but we invested too much time to back out. A lot of problems getting to closing including getting a pay off from my current mortgage company. Ending up having to do it myself and weeks past the original scheduled closing. This was because either it wasn't requested or it fell through the crack. I ended having to be very proactive in getting information or getting stuff for the closing. Lack of updates by the loan office either emails or returning calls. Closing documents were delayed being sent to title company. So it was delayed, I worked for a WFHM doing closings and this one was not a smooth process.
Originally we were told my income only, even though we tried to send my wife's as well so there wouldn't be no problems in getting approved. We weren't told until 30 days into the process that it was needed. It was a VA refinance so it should have gone a little smoother. But from start to finish it was a chore and had to be the one requesting information, documents or sending in additional documents. My only recommendation in doing a loan would to anyone else would to be ready to stay on top of the process from start to finish. Three stars was the lowest I could go because I was satisfied but not completely maybe 2.5 stars.

We purchased an over-55 Condo and were required to pay Mortgage Insurance of $2250 monthly. After two years we decided to refi our conventional mortgage and try a VA loan. This was our first experience with VA, although I have qualified since 1964. The process was slow and we were not pleased with the rate; however weighing the fact that the MGI would disappear we went for the new mortgage. Our rate changed from 4.75 to 4.6. Not much but here we are.

This is to all Veteran "PLEASE!!!" "PLEASE!!!!" Do not believe all these positive reviews about Newdayusa. This business is a "SCAM!!!!". This company tells you one thing and do another. I'm saying this from recent experience. They will do anything you want at the beginning but as the process continues everything changes. My consultant was Kristen **. I was supposedly good for a $330,000 loan which I told her I don't need that much. So when they came and appraised my new home it was appraised way over what I bought the house for. Kristen ** called me the next day and told me we couldn't go thru with the loan. And I asked why, she said something about the equity and I said let's try something else and she said OK.
So I called the lady who did my appraisal and asked what my home appraised for and she told and it was great. So I told Kristen the appraiser said she could call her. Kristen wouldn't call her so she trying calling Kristen ** and she would not answer her ???. And every time I trying calling her after she called and said we couldn't go thru with the loan she wouldn't answer any of my calls, texts or my email. But had the audacity to send me a letter telling she's sorry that I canceled going thru with the loan, which was a lie. She was trying to cover her butt by sending me the letter. So I gave them a nasty review on one of the web page. All this just happened last month.
As you read those positive reviews they pretty much saying the same thing. I believe they are having people from their business write positive reviews to make it seem like they are a top notch business. Plus some of the positive reviews on one website have the same positive reviews posted twice. Disregard what you hear or see on television, read about Newdayusa because it's a lie. They are not Veteran friendly at all. With them it's all about the money and how money they can get out of you. Because every figure they throw at you are high especially their closing costs. I'm just being honest here. "I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYBODY!!!!"

I requested a re-fi on my home, with 'cash back'. The folks I spoke with were very helpful from the beginning of this process. Because I requested 'cash back' to pay off existing credit card. balances, NEWDAY used my credit report to find and list these balances. Unfortunately, because of the length of time it took to close, I had to make payments on my c.c. accounts so I would not be late with any payments. NEWDAY then sent individual checks TO ME for each account so that I could mail each check to each vendor.
Because of the elapsed time, EACH of my vendors received MORE than what I originally owed for each account. (Over $1200) spread out over 13 accounts. I believe there must be a better way to handle these payments on a re-fi (cash back) basis. Without question, I DID want these accts paid off, but now each cc acct will have to generate refunds back to me. Seems very messy to me. If this (cash back) was handled differently, I would have given a 5 star rating, since the cust reps were very good.

This is the first review I have ever written and I feel compelled to write it. I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience at NewDay. I have excellent credit and was refinanced into a VA loan that was worse than my existing loan. I was pulling money out and felt NewDay would work with integrity and honor. This was not the case. Shortly after closing (next day) I received multiple calls and realized I paid between 1.5 and 1.75 points higher than the going rate. WARNING: Shop around because NEWDAY does not operate with Honor and Integrity!!! SHOP AROUND!!!!

Updated on 10/28/2019: I never leave reviews but this is my 2nd one here and I wanted to share my experience. So after 3 months of waiting, I was denied. On 3rd party verification with Credit Plus and my current lender, it was mentioned I had a late payment in which I did not and my lender was going back thru to check on things. Well their Credit Plus agent was disconnected and completed her report stating I had a late payment anyway, but the truth is my lender has not reported anything as late. For that reason, I was denied and NewDayUSA ceased contact.... and I'm not complaining about that. They need to stop sending my crap in the mail still as well, but had they done this in a timely manner, then things could have been different. I should have considered a different route than NewDay.
Original Review: I originally purchased my home through Veterans United 1.5 years ago and was in and out in just at 30 days. So now 1.5 yrs later, I wanted to take advantage of lower rates and decided to give NewDay a shot which began the 3rd week in July and I am still waiting. I was scheduled to close on 6 Sep, then 19 Oct according to their portal, and who knows when now?. I am being asked of things to provide that could have been resolved a while ago thus further delaying the process. I am pleased with the communication with my loan officer, but there's no reason for this to drag on like it has. This has been the most frustrating and stressful process ever and could be totally preventable.

We are on second agent because the first never returned our calls and the second is doing the same. When we asked the status of our application we were told it was suspended due to a time limit. When we asked if they got all our paperwork they said they would call back. LOL still waiting.

After going through a divorce I had to get a refinance to get my ex off of the loan. Because of my agents negotiation and influence, he was able to work well with underwriting to get my loan completed through all of the hurdles that come along with a divorce. They ask you multiple times for the same information. They send you disclosures of costs for closing only to have it go up almost everyday. They make promises to you one day and change it the next. If they do this to Veterans I guess they have no shame!

Ms. ** is my account executive. As a retired Program Manager for the USAF I would have given her all 10's on her job evaluation. Unfortunately I can't give her what she deserves. A promotion!! My experience was great because of the guidance she provided. Her efforts and knowledge afforded her customers will make this a fantastic company. She appears to be veteran oriented person and that is important to us.

Hats off to my Loan Officer, Justin ** who showed endless patience and professionalism during the lengthy processing of the detailed information that was required for the mortgage documentation....Looking back now, I can say the process was actually quite painless. I also appreciate the local loan officer who did final closing at my home late in the evening to accommodate my schedule. Overall thanks goes to the New Day organization for running a tight ship!

Got what I wanted with minimal effort. Everything was explained up front and no unforeseen snags arose during the loan process. The loan manager was very helpful and allayed all my concerns. We applied for VA loan and denied so went with FHA refinance loan over a month ago. Our account rep worked diligently and involved her manager to get the appraisal started. After a month still no appraisal started. We decided to go a different route with someone else after this! Very dissatisfied! Not so much the rep.... Very disappointed with overall New Day but FHA appraisal dept is really lousy!

I just wanted to commend Mr. ** for the outstanding job related to re-financing my home. His expertise and professionalism was second to none, he took me step by step through the whole process and made it very user friendly and understandable. Disappointed. This process required repeated phone calls, emails and input on our end. When you were unable to make a phone call and get payoff on our home equity loan (which your office insisted had to be closed, against my wishes), I provided a payoff amount late last month. Instead of then using that figure, a previous amount was used leaving over $900 owing on that account after application of your payment. We had also hoped for faster turnaround, having started process on August 6 and not having funds in hand until September 18.

The beginning started out great and then we got a new rep. Destinee was awful in answering the phone, getting back to us with answers to our questions, her communication was horrible. We ended up at the last minute going above her head so we could get our stuff done. We would ask her if there was anything else she needed and she would tell us “no, you are good.”
Then the very next day she would text us and say she needed a list of everything we had to get done by the end of the day. I don’t think it is very professional to “text” clients to be able to get a response or to ask questions. This was very unprofessional. We would have questions so we could give the attorney answers and it would take days for her to respond back. That is after she said “text” was the best way to get a hold of her. The two men that we finally contacted and that are above her were incredible and helped us so much. Destinee was dragging this process out so much that we had four scheduled closing dates and they all got postponed. She was absolutely awful.

Found my experience what I needed. Our agent was knowledgeable and helpful. Using your computer programs was good and fairly easy to use. I would recommend others to give your company a try. My Loan # was **. When I started this process I was told I would get a "FREE" appraisal. Everyone that I talked to told me I was on a recorded line so this is easy for them to prove or disprove. Now that I have withdrew my application and went with a different company that is giving me a better interest rate. Suddenly the appraisal is not free. It is now the responsibility of the new lender to uphold NEWDAY'S promise.... I called My account manager PAUL ** and told him what the other company was offering and he said NewDay can't match that so I told him I was going with the other company. I signed a transfer document and the other company sent it to NEWDAY and they said the could not read it so we made it darker and they still dragged the feet.... but it is done and my new loan is being processed.
The new company is asking me for proof the appraisal was paid so I called PAUL ** today and he said no one at NEWDAY told me it was free. It was always going to be rolled up in my Mortgage with NEWDAY...So I told him that NEWDAY was misleading the Veterans they claim to be trying to help. I will not be recommending this organization to any Veterans.
Hello Arthur. If we ordered the appraisal, and the loan did not close, you were not required to pay the appraisal fee. We can confirm the appraisal was paid in full.

The overall experience was great. My only complaint/gripe is the interest rate that we got. When we started the process the bond rate was in the mid 1.70% area. The bond rate got down into the 1.50%'s when I tied down my interest rate. That whole time in the drop, my interest rate did not budge at all. You would have thought that my interest rate would have dropped some. My agent advised since this was a cash out, this was the best we could get! Still don't know if we got took or not.
