When we first started the loan process, we had Zachary **, he was very good on keeping us informed and up to date. When Zach transitioned into another role, Alec was introduced and he was good, but we weren't kept in the loop on everything. It may have been due to us not having him from the beginning. Overall I am pleased with how smooth everything went and I would recommend you to my friends or anyone looking for a VA loan.

Colson, Jae and everyone involved were very professional and were there every time I needed something. I am VERY unhappy and ONCE AGAIN as a Vietnam Vet feel taken advantage of. I JUST saw YOUR commercial with Tatiana saying NO APPRAISAL FEES!! We were billed $450 for a VA appraisal (which I was told are VERY critical of their appraisals) so we should be happy with the result AND $200. for a termite inspection we were told would be reimbursed. We accepted a MUCH higher interest rate due to our credit (no credit check?). NOT HAPPY and struggling to make payments.
Hi Kit. The commercial you are referring to advertises our VA IRRRL loan programs, which have different sets of terms and requirements than the VA Cash-Out program you did with us. The Cash-Out program requires an appraisal while the IRRRL program currently does not. Regarding the termite inspection, our customer service fee will review your file to determine if a refund is due.

This was our third time going through a refinance process with different lenders and NewDay was by far our best experience yet. Our account manager, Mr. Carlton **, was such a pleasure to work with in this process. He was ahead of the game all the way through and answered each of our questions promptly and made sure we understood what our options were at all times. I am a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer and we thank Admiral Lynch for his service and the top quality people who serve all our veterans with their help in home financing. We are completely satisfied with all aspects of our new mortgage. Thanks to all who helped us obtain this new loan. This will let us do the upgrades on our home we have wanted to do for some time and pay off some bills too. And enjoy our retirement just a little bit more! Thank you all very much.

Excellent. I'm mentally disabled. Not really sure what you want me to here other than my experience was professionally top notch, on time, all our credit cards are being played off. We have 10 grand for savings home improvement maybe travel. We're totally grateful for the program we received and our house payment will work out nicely. I don't know if this what you're looking for but thank you.

NewDay USA made this refinancing easy to understand and gave me the information I needed but didn’t force me or try to change my mind. I felt that it was my choice what, when and how my money was used for and Bob ** was professional and understanding of my work schedule and very easy to get ahold of for follow up questions.

Pat ** helped us with our 100% home refinance and did a terrific job. Always courteous, professional, and applicable to our needs and desires. He helped us close in minimum time, about 3 weeks! He always seemed to be looking out for our best interests and where we could save time and money.

I was hesitant about choosing NewDay USA to do a VA backed refinance, but was I wrong! Simply the easiest process I have ever done. Communication was absolutely fantastic. Paperwork process was not an issue either. This was as painless, and as easy a process. They got us refinanced on a fixed rate at a percentage point higher and helped us obtain equity to pay off debts to allow us to live easier and more comfortable versus always trying to make ends meet. I recommend any Veteran to give NewDayUSA a chance, it is well worth doing so! Thank you for everything!

Not a good experience. Your team did not know what to ask for. I would send paperwork then they would ask for something else. Then have to resend then forgot to say I needed to sign somewhere on it. Then needed my wife and I both to sign. Very unorganized. I think the interest was too high. Not real good for a veteran serving a veteran.

My experience with NewDay was outstanding!! Mostly because of the bright young people you have working for you. Nicholas ** was my loan processor and he made everything work out!! Please promote Nicholas immediately, give him a pay raise, and the day off!!! I served 30 years in the navy from 1961 to 1991 and I was a third class boatswains mate on board the fleet oiler USS Chikaskia (AO-54) in 1963 when you and Roger Staubach almost won the national championship!!!! It was a pleasure and a priviledge to do business with you!!!!

There were a few things that had to be resubmitted due to a change in closing date of 2 weeks. The HOA gave us late notice on a document they needed sent in prior to release and permission to close. On the day of closing we had to wait for last minute changes so we could close. It wasn't the smoothest closing but we did close.

Nick did a great job. He was accurate with the numbers, kept us informed of changes or delays and made our refinance happen quickly. Being able to close at home was very convenient. As a veteran, I thought I would give them a chance as they say they could do 100% financing. After stating several times that they would fund 100%, they refused. They said they had the best rates, their interest rates were horrible and not even remotely competitive. I would call them a predatory lender. Lie after lie, then unfair practices.
Hi Robert. At this time, NewDay can certainly lend up to 100% of the homes value, but the structure of the loan is ultimately dependent on a variety of qualifying factors. We regret that your experience did not meet your expectations.

I called per the commercials to refi and use funds to pay some bills. They state they want to help veterans. However, they do NOT tell you that there is a minimum FICO score required. I have been laid off twice in 2 years and as a result my FICO score is lower than it should be. I was told there was nothing they can do.

NewDay USA delivered what they promised, plus some. Even though some unexpected problems came up that could have sidetracked the refinance, they worked with me to get these issues resolved. The account manager was very persistent, understanding, and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend NewDay USA to any veterans who are looking to refinance their home. Megan **, was very wonderful and attentive in making sure what needed to be done was done immediately. We had a moment not sure if appraisal repairs would be completed, Megan offered to help find the services we required if needed. This is the type of people we are far, few and in between of. I hope Megan is given a special something for her efforts. I have contacted New Day USA since it started advertising. Megan was the very first one of the many I have spoken to that actually made my wife and I had some hope. Again, I greatly appreciate the efforts Megan took and made me feel as I was important enough to share her time with.

Personal refinance agent was Extremely helpful. He understood my needs and worked out a plan to fulfill my request without trying to manipulate or stray from them. The process was streamlined which allowed for a fast stress free closing within 30 days of my request to refinance. The entire process was clearly explained and easy to understand without confusion. I highly recommend this veteran ran mortgage company to fellow veterans!!!

My loan executive was extremely professional and courteous, he assisted with all of the required documents and even though the process took longer because of my somewhat unusual circumstances, he made it all possible. The entire process from beginning to close was very pleasant, fast and extremely professional. I was very impressed with how the loan was done mostly by phone, email and finally a Notary was dispatched to my home to finalize all documents. We just completed our VA100 refinancing closing and received our checks via overnight mail as promised. I must note that our Account Executive was polite, knowledgeable, and walked us through every step of the process. When we had questions, he had the answer. There was only one issue during the entire process. I'm told that our closing package was missing a crucial document which was only discovered after the docs had been received by New Day. That made a second closing necessary which delayed our process by 4 days. It was inconvenient but in the grand scheme of things, it was inconsequential. We highly recommend New Day without hesitation. This is the second time we have refinanced through them and both times have been positive experiences.

Joseph ** did an outstanding job front to back with the information flow and loan processing. I made my first contact with New Day on May 9, and we closed on our loan June 22 - absolutely outstanding work. My only one negative was that as part of the closing process, Service Link was to forward us a check for a credit pay off. This check was delayed arriving by almost 5 days because it never went out in the first place. These funds could have easily have been wired to the creditor - very much like our original mortgage was paid off - and would have prevented us from getting a negative hit to our credit report for a late payment. This of course was not Joe's fault - but Service Link should be held to account.

My experience with Mr. David ** from NewDay was outstanding. Mr. **'s courtesy, professionalism and attention to detail deserves praise. My experience with Secure Link was horrible, one mistake is excusable, numerous errors make me question their competence. First, they asked for my wife's name, I left a message with the information, no response. Closing forms had name misspelled. Closing agent was 30 minutes late making my wife late for work. After closing they requested me to date some forms, I did as requested, no response. I had to call Mr. ** to verify forms were received.

I worked with Brandon throughout this process and there wasn’t really any problems. The process continued at a good pace and Brandon followed up way more than I expected. He made sure things kept moving. The only remotely negative thing I would say might be to permit payoffs with a direct deposit vs physical checks. This process of getting the checks to a bank and paying off the CC the banks have NO CLUE how it works and it took over an hour to get them to actually take and pay off the CC.

I cannot put into work the gratefulness I feel for New Day. I found myself financially backed in a corner and at risk of completely ruining the years of good credit worked hard to build. William ** was amazing. I was constantly informed and reassured that New Day was working hard for me. I came into this not believing in the process. This organization changed that outlook. Experience has conditioned me to believe that when you're down, companies claiming to provide assistance only provide rhetoric. Everything you stated when refinancing my loan was true. The timing of every step was true and sound. The only problem was with the VA inspection. I was refinancing to get money to fix and paint my home. The VA wanted me to fix and put paint on chipped paint.. You were able to help me explain to the VA that it would be fixed and painted when I got my new loan. A soon as the VA passed the house we closed in three days.

Loan to be funded and debt that will be paid was not clearly communicated to me. Mistakes did not become clear until loan was funded. I stilll have accounts to pay that I expected to be covered by the loan. I feel that my loan manager did not do a good job of clarity.

Our contact was Alexander ** and we could not be more pleased with the service he gave us. He kept in daily contact with updates as the refinance progressed and explained everything thoroughly. He was professional, kind and extremely knowledgeable about the entire process. We have refinanced previously and sadly that time was not an enjoyable experience. There was virtually no contact with the refinance company and we could not get anyone to answer our questions. It was nerve racking. I’ve seen commercials for NewDay and it was a pleasant surprise that everything stated in the commercial was true... and even better than stated. We thank NewDay and especially Alex for his help... Our experience with NewDay was fantastic. We have lived in our current home for 14 years and incurred some significant debt due to unexpected medical expenses. VA Loan - Did not fulfill stated goal and Purpose of the Loan. Not happy. The reason for the loan was to get rid of all credit card debt that I was forced into in a very short time. I was advised that ALL credit card debt would be covered (but not the car). The worst credit card of all, with US Bank for $12,800.00 was not included. I emailed Evan and complained, no response. I'm Not happy with what happened.

The loan officer (Shadi **) could have been better at asking required documents at one time. He continually would ask for more items instead of asking for them from the beginning. He also did not reply to my questions via text or email in a timely manner. Your commercial states you are dedicated to serving veterans, but as a 20+ Air Force retired vet, I did not feel I was taken care of. I had plenty of other options and I would think your employees would appreciate my business. To be honest if I did not have to deal with my dying mother at the time I would have taken my business elsewhere. I would like to recommend your services to my fellow vets but at this time I just don't think your agency deserves it. You would think I deserve some type of discount for the issues I had to deal with during this process. Thank you.

I like the loan and the terms are OK, your sales/ service people are great/ outstanding; however, your processing is broken. I suffer from PTSD and your information collection and approval process caused me to have setbacks in my mental health recovery. I have purchased homes before and have never experienced such incompetence. The information and evidence that I was asked for on the morning of closing put me over the top of my capability of coping with stress. I came very close to having myself committed to the hospital for mental health issues.
In the future have all of the low hanging fruit issues settled at least a week prior to closing. I would be honored to talk with you about this situation at anytime. I have my MBA in business management so I feel that my inputs would likely improve your customer experience, to include military members/ Veterans with disabilities. Nevertheless, stay the course with this noble mission of helping Veterans. For full disclosure, I work for the Veterans Administration and serve Veterans on a daily bases. This was the easiest mortgage EVER! I received loads of advertisement from New Day. I was a bit suspicious about applying because I never heard of the company. I prayed about it and felt comfortable in my spirit. So, I called. My loan advisor, SCOTT **, was professional, patient, thorough, friendly, and compassionate about my concerns. He answered all of my questions and gave me great counsel. SCOTT updated me as the loan process progressed. He was prompt in responding to phone calls and emails. I cannot say how wonderful the experience from beginning to the end. Daniel ** was the Loan Officer for this loan. Exceptionally gifted, well versed and extremely professional. Told us from day one what New Day was going to do and nothing, absolutely nothing went off track. We started the process on April 29th, 2019, signed the loan docs on May 21st, 2019, received checks and closing papers on May 28th, 2019. Text book process. I have personally been in the Real Estate business since 1971 and am aware of the process one goes through to purchase or refinance a home. Daniel ** will always be referenced in any conversation I have in the future doing Real Estate. A true professional who "knows his stuff". A definite asset to New Day, don't let him go! I never thought I'd be able to get a home loan. I am a disabled veteran and tried going through a standard bank and was turned down. I called New day USA early one morning to see if I could buy a nice home... Well the story is we're are now moving in to our new home, New Day made it so easy it was unbelievable. Most of my experience was positive. The one area that I think needs to improve is the communication with NewDay and me. There were days before I heard back on the progress of my paperwork sometimes. It just drag out too long. The gentleman I worked with was smart, articulate and knew what he was doing. This was great and he was great in that area. Just improve the communication timeliness.

My husband and I have been very satisfied with our dealings with all aspects of the loan process.. Our loan officer was very nice and communicated all necessary documents needed to expedite the loan process with time accuracy. We had a lot of documents that needed to locate... that was the difficult part because a lot of them had not been filed, and we were still unsettled and had not been in our home but two years and had a lot of construction going on during that time.. So the paper documents were a bit unnerving. That’s were the patience of our Loan officer was very helpful.. It took a lot of the frustration off the loan process... Thank You Andrew. I will start by saying my loan officer Brendt ** was excellent and did his part in making sure I qualified. I am a 10yr Iraq army veteran with an honorable discharge. My ltv is at 65. My credit score was at 623 and I own my own home free and clear, no liens and no other attachments and all fha appraisals and inspections were completed. Some rookie underwriter decided I did no qualify because I own my home free and clear that I did not qualify. This is some bull! I truly believe because of my location and color that I was redlined because I live in Detroit and an **.
I am deeply offended at the level of disrespect I was shown with this company. I own a lot of property but like every one else I wanted to cash out some of the equity. Was my file number so I don't get the proverbial we can't find the file! There were no such fha regulations pertaining to such. To all veterans who are true veterans this company is full of it and does redlining. I am deeply offended at this companies complete disregard for my service and the fact that I was just dropped like I was nothing! A lot of unnecessary repairs and money went into securing this loan to which I was told to continue. I'm hoping every veteran read thru the tv drama. And report just another fake company. Hello. Per your FHA appraisal, the current Owner of Public Record of the home is an LLC. According to FHA guidelines, the borrower must have sole ownership of the home for 12 months prior to completing an FHA refinance. We regret that we were unable to assist you at this time.

This was a great experience - amazing customer service and very thorough with the whole process of the loan. The only suggestion I could make is that the final checks that went out to creditors were over the amount owed and now I have to track down credits back to me. I have never requested or wanted anything from this company but I continue to receive information from them. It’s just like getting calls from telemarketers that you cannot get rid of. The mail keeps coming & coming & coming. What a waste of time. If I wanted their info I would have contacted them. I received a better deal for a vet at my local bank which also offered 1st home buyer also. Even though I wasn’t. Home banks do a much better job... Stop sending the junk mail.

I first want to say, thank you to all the vets who took a few minutes out of their lives to warn other vets about this company. NewDay does not care about Vets. They are greedy and only care about how much commission they are going to get from conning a Vet into refinancing more than they should, I hate to say it but NewDay isn't the only company that takes advantage of Vets. I actually started a application with NewDay and after I explained why we were refinancing and that we were planning on retiring in a couple of years, they came back with a very high (I mean really high, like $282,000 high) loan refinance. It was outrageous. The closing cost were going to be $22000!!! Not to mention they tied 0% financed short term loans into that price, but when I asked the loan officer to get me a preapproval letter, he didn't know how to do that, and boy am I glad.
I started to check into their credentials and once I seen all the reviews here, I called another loan company. But if I hadn't read these reviews I would have been taken to the cleaners. Now they won't stop calling me and sending me emails. As a matter of fact they are sending me mail now that is stating they are going to share my information to other 3rd parties. It’s almost like a scare tactic. They are basically harassing me. I wish all of you the best and I hope that more Vets would read these comments and save themselves some real headaches.

I received an invitation to refinance with the cash-out option. I proceeded with refinancing so I could pay off all our high interest credit card debt. Our contact at New Day was Jacob **. I must say that I believe Jacob went above and beyond his duty to assist us in this endeavor. He is professional, courteous, knowledgeable and walked us through the entire process from start to finish. The only drawback was the interest rate. I do, however, understand as we had very high credit card debts due to my wife's loss of her parents recently and the trips back and forth to Colorado. The GREAT news is that these debts are off our backs and we can once again put money in the bank instead of paying high interest on credit cards. I hope that Admiral Lynch will take a moment to thank Jacob and reward him for his superb work.

I saw the New Day USA loan commercial on Fox and figured I'd give it a shot. I was just looking to consolidate debt into 1 lump sum which we have done before. I had all my information ready before calling them. I knew my credit score and the current interest rates. A guy by the name of Justin ** worked on my case and after wasting several hours trying to get the interest rate from him I realized this is a scam.
My credit score is A+ and this jerk came back with some fictitious number which did not match with the credit report that had been run by my identity protect services. As a result he couldn't offer me a lower interest rate. He then began to insult me and tell me that I'm ridiculous for even disagreeing. He sounded like a child. He also mentioned that low interest loans don't exist anymore. Then why would you advertise it on TV with the guise that you're helping veterans? This experience taught me that New Day USA is not focused on helping veterans. It is a predatory service which tried to take my current fixed 3.75% interest rate and convert it to 4.75% with an additional 250K in debt. Needless to say I had some choice words for Justin before hanging up. Don't mess with veterans!

I was very pleased with the processing by Theodore **, Account Executive. He was very responsive to answering questions and returning phone calls. When unexpected issues arose, Ted was good at explaining what additional forms were needed. His response time was exceptional in responding by either telephone or email. At first everything in the loan process was running smoothly. I was even told it was running so smoothly it looked like we could close on the loan early. Then I was told the title company needed a letter from my attorney verifying that my ex-wife could not place a lien on the house despite her not being on the original title or loan and having submitted a quit claim on the home. I submitted the letter and waited only to be told the title company wanted to wait until after a pending court date to see the outcome.
The divorce was a year ago and the court hearing was to determine how to proceed with taxes since my ex had not signed return checks or tax filings she was ordered to sign the previous year. Following the hearing I was told the title company needed another letter from my attorney once again stating my ex wife could not place a lien on the home. Once again my attorney submitted a letter explaining this. I was expecting to proceed at this point however, I was informed my ex-wife needed to verify and sign the attorney's letter. I explained to NewDay this was an impossible request as my ex-wife needed to be court ordered to sign documents from the previous year. I was told they would look for another solution to the problem. They came back about a week later with a plan to pay settlement money for 2020 to my ex-wife out of the loan.
Maybe I am just naive but I fail to understand why a a title company sets the terms of a refinance when they have a clean title, a quit claim, a copy of the divorce decree, multiple assurances from an attorney, and no history of non payment or late payment to my ex-wife. Not to mention the insult of being told that in order for the loan to go through they would need to pay the 2020 settlement payment in March of 2019 or have the money held until payment was made. Why would ANYONE would refinance at an interest rate a full percentage point higher than most and pay interest on money that they were told how to use or have sit idle/unusable for over a year is beyond me. Needless to say I halted the process a little poorer for appraisal, inspection, and attorney fees. Overall THE MOST INSULTING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE.

As a 35 year combat veteran and senior officer, I would never inquire about a loan from this organization. They target niave veterans into getting VA loans saying they will approve when others won't. New Day USA is no different then any other loan group. Shop around first. All mortgage groups that offer VA loans follow strict guidelines.

I had to have cataract surgery and on a fixed income, chose my eyesight over a house payment. They never contacted us on why our payment was late so we could work with them. Gave us to Freedom Mortgage. Thrown under the bus & had excellent credit before that! So much for help!

Absolute disaster! NewDay USA sells their loans to third party mortgage companies. What does this mean? Third party is like third grade mortgage companies. They sold mine to Freedom mortgage. Twice I set up on their wesbite auto payments and twice they did not pull funds. If I didn't check weeks later like I did, there was a good chance my payment would have been late and affected my credit without me knowing. This was the worst loan experience I have ever had. From improper pay off amounts to rate going up. Never would I recommend this company to anyone. I am working on an indebt letter to the BBB. NewDay USA sold my loan to another company—Freedom Mortgage, whom I’ve never heard of, and, simultaneously, my monthly mortgage payment went up $64. I have since had several calls from Freedom for no apparent reason and no explanation as to why the payment went up.

Obtaining the loan through NewDay was easy and we dealt with a loan agent who was always friendly and professional. HOWEVER, only about 2 weeks after the loan closed, we get the notice that the loan has been sold to PHH Mortgage... PHH Mortgage is a company in which 49 attorney generals filed a class action lawsuit for poor business practices; if you search for PHH Mortgage, all you will find is one-star complaints with very serious allegations. The new year approaches, and we have not had to make our first payment yet until January to PHH Mortgage; but based on what these reviews are describing, we are in for a nightmare. So I am only going to give NewDay two stars; we feel we were catfished into dealing with a substandard company.

NewDay USA is a scam designed to bleed cash out of our nation’s veterans. In 2016 my wife and I finally had enough equity in our existing 7.25% mortgage (we took an equity loan just before the bottom fell out in 2007 and ended up underwater), to refinance. Both of us had credit scores in the 790s when we applied with NewDay. They came back with a 30 year rate of 4.75%. This is a full percentage point higher than out existing bank was quoting on a VA loan. The difference over the course of 30 years would have meant tens of thousands of dollars in NewDay’s pockets at our expense. Multiply this by the thousands of Vets they are giving these high quotes to, and you have a company that exists to rip veterans off. The Admiral should be ashamed and this company should be invest by the Feds for questionable lending practices.

Jacob ** was extremely helpful through the whole process. He answered all my wife's and my questions in simple to understand terms. We had a little trouble setting the closing date but that was all on my end. My mother was in a hospice house. Jacob was very patient and said he only needed a 48 hour window to work with. Applied for a refi with a 20K cashout and got the extreme sales pitch from the very first moment and told repeatedly how the good Admiral loves his vets. My current mortgage is 220K on a home valued at 350K. Have a stellar credit score of 805. Lived in the house for 18 years and paid every month without problems. Have a VA disability income, corporate pension, and social security and was told income was insufficient for credit requested. Then came the real sales pitch with the “have I got a deal for you”. Offered to pay off my 6K of total credit card debt, proffered an inflated new mortgage interest rate of 5.85 percent for a fixed 20 year term.
I laughed heartily and told them I had received one other offer already with a fixed 20 year 4.35 interest rate without having all the hassle and without having to endure all the ludicrous behavior. NewDay USA is a scam and they obviously prey on veterans. Stay far, far away unless you enjoy dealing with “used car sales types” and want to get taken to the cleaners.

Refinancing my home - The overall experience was very positive. The only glitch was that the first appraiser did not submit his report at all. This caused an extended delay. I reached out to NewDay for a home refinance. Everything was going smoothly until we had the house appraised. Since we had taken out the floors, the appraisal wouldn't be complete until flooring was installed. Joseph, our account executive worked with us the whole way so we could get the refinance done. He went above and beyond anything I expected to make sure our refinance was complete. He worked with the flooring contractor, and my wife to get things done. After a year and seven months of making our payments on time and never being late, they decide to drop us and also decide that we will deal with Freedom Mortgage from now on. I completed an application online, it was only a few minutes after I sent it the application in that I received a call from Mr. Ben **, he identified himself and asked if it was okay to go over my application. Updated on 12/26/2018: It seemed to me that the folks helping me didn't know what they were doing. They constantly asked for more papers instead of telling me what they needed at one time. They lost papers I had sent and then asked for them again. They cost me more money because they didn't know what they were doing. As soon as the house closed they sold my mortgage to another lender. Don't use these people even if you are a Veteran.

What a trying experience today with your customer service department! I called to ask how to set up auto pay, which should have been done when I signed the refi documents. I was told that the loan number I gave them was not a loan number and that I would have to wait until I got the first bill before I could set up auto pay. That's bullshit people!!! There is only 1 Loan ID number and I gave it to the person who seemed to be put out by me trying to ask questions. As far as the person who helped me do this refi, Mr. Trevor **, he is top notch and easy to get in touch with, but your customer service sucks! I want to know how to set up the auto pay NOW!!! You need to contact me and tell me what website to go to in order to get that done!

Spoke to a Mr. David ** absolutely terrible attitude rushing thru the process. Trying to force me to do everything over the phone without providing any real information. Had an attitude and very short tempered. I am a disabled veteran. This is a very delicate situation. I have already had a very horrific experience dealing with my current mortgage company. With just a two week notice, NewDay informed us they have sold our papers to a company with extremely low reviews. The process took about 30 days from the first call to closing. Our contact kept in touch to let us know just what he needed and sent everything to us that needed our signatures or information. The process consisted of nine or ten phone calls and about the same number of emails in which we responded by scanning documents and emailing back. If all these documents were needed why were they not in the initial list? I was told NewDay USA did not want to cause stress with too many documents in the initial list. Just days before closing we were told we needed a wood destroying insect report. It was hard to find someone to perform this service on short notice.

My loan officer was polite and courteous. However, due to a breakdown in communication between parties within the system, my closing was very delayed from the date of loan approval (45 days). My property was not appraised well. My appraiser was very elderly and could not physically do a full appraisal of the property. I also received a very high interest rate of 5.6%. This experience only accomplished half of my goals that I set out to accomplish with this refinance.

I've had several VA loans with you and up until this time was very satisfied with the process. However this time it took so long and I had to submit so many documents repetitively. I believe I submitted the same document about 6 different times. And I started the process in June of this year and we just closed last week. So a total of about 2 months. This letter is in reference to NewDay mortgage. To say this company helps veterans is a gross lie. I applied for a cash out on my mortgage for approx. 20,000. My current loan is about 125,000 and the value of my home is 230,000. Although my credit is not stellar (600) I figured my house used as collateral would be ok. I have lived in the house 10 years and have paid monthly payment with no problems.
When I raised the issue I only wanted 20,000 to pay debt he said, "Well your credit does not warrant this but if you take the full amount we can work something out." To go on TV and claim "We help veteran. Disabled or not." is a total joke, it's a money maker and a profit maker and a scam. They suck. Pull your ads or at least tell the truth. You don't help veterans unless it fits your bottom line. Just to get this off my mind I'll contact the VA to voice my complaint. Thank you. I feel a little better, how terrible it is that they prey on veterans on helping them but do the opposite.

I spoke to a loan officer named Cody whom processed my loan application. After reviewing my excellent credit he had the audacity to quote me a high rate charging me 2 points on the back of the loan and an origination fee which all the fees totaled up to $20,000.00. I asked him why would he think that I would agree for them to take $20,000.00 of my equity in my home. I am a disabled veteran and served my country for 22 years. I also did my research about this company and found out that they lost their license to do VA loans. I am very disgusted with this company and how they are ripping off Veterans. Some action needs to take place to put them out of business.

As a prior Mortgage Broker, I did have some misgivings about dealing with a lender I did not know, however, Matt ** was very helpful and my husband and I would recommend NewDay to any Veteran. Matt kept us informed the entire process and it went very smooth.

Great experience. Mr. Teddy ** did a great job of keeping my loan moving. Mine is an unusual situation since I am self-employed with rental income making up the bulk of my income. Verification of rental income seems to be a difficult chore for most banking companies but Teddy stuck with it and got it done. Very happy with the outcome.

This company does not deliver on what they promise. They take months to close a loan, when they promised 30 days. Once closed the customer service department has nice people but it’s inefficient. It’s like talking to robots. You can’t get answers to anything. They try to pull every trick they can to charge you fees if possible. We had a hail claim and the insurance company sent a large check to them, in turn they had to endorse it and send it back to us. It took MONTHS! This happened every time! Our contractors had to wait for months to be paid, outrageous. We are considering a refi to get away from them. They claim to take care of our military, it’s a scam and a joke.

We are thrilled with our experience with NewDay USA. The refinancing process was made so easy, they did almost all of the work and guided us through what was expected of us. We had tried a couple other companies before we found NewDay and were left very unsatisfied. Our agent, Courtland ** couldn't have been nicer or more helpful and professional.
