    Using the option for Veteran, we were able to refinance my home with enough cash-out to do major yard repairs that have been waiting. The assisting staff were exceptional in helping and keeping us informed along the way. And my monthly payment came in just where we anticipated. With the covering of previous debts, my monthly payment is actually less by almost $100.00 if I still had to pay those payments separately.     So me and my grandfather owned a home. I was on the loan everywhere and was the trust on this Mortgage we already had through our bank. So my grandpa sees this commercial on T.V. It was way too good to be true I thought. So he called and started talking to these guys and I had messed up my credit pretty good so we were scared bank would make me sell as is when he died. When he talked to Andrew he tells him, "O yes we can do that to where we make up a quick deed so you can give it to him when you pass away sir." My grandad did all things you have to remortgage a home termite fix stuff get appraisal. So who comes to our house to show us where to sign and tell us what we are signing? IT'S ANDREW. He lied straight to my face and told me we were signing a document for when he passes it goes to me. I asked him cause it look funny. He said, "This is what that is for sir."

    I ask, "Should I have a lawyer look at this?" He said, "Sir I am a VA lawyer. I am here for the vet and his family." So my grandfather had done probably four or five mortgage loans in his lifetime so I figured he knew he was just old and didn't know I signed mine deed over to him and the man lied straight to my face then when I complained about it he said, "Read this copy of this document you had that your grandfather signed." This document says that the preparer which who is Andrew is not responsible for anything that is done wrong on this paperwork because he's just following the instructions cuz they got instructions on what to do. They have the grantor and grantee completely backwards and now I cannot do anything to get in the back of my grandfathers home that I've been sitting at, living out with my grandfather taking care of him and my mother for over 12 years.     I am a disabled Veteran 100% with PTSD. I have had a difficult past. I purchased a home for 36k, owner financed as I have never been able to qualify for the 100% VA mortgage as I don't have good credit because of my past. I paid off the mortgage on my house and own it free and clear. I called NewDay USA for a refinance, and or loan to pay off $15,000 in debt I have on my credit report. I was told I could not do that as VA guidelines state that VA cannot finance loans for houses that are owned free and clear, even though NewDay states in their ads on TV, that if "YOU OWN YOUR HOME AND NEED CASH" NewDay is there for you to pay off credit cards, debts, etc. False advertising.

    I was told NewDay would call me back about a loan, but no loan reps were available at the moment as they were in "training." I never got a callback, but I did get a letter in the mail that said I was turned down due to bad credit. Apparently the "Admiral" and his company only care about Veterans with near perfect credit, the rest of us who have suffered and have had our lives ripped apart by our service, can just sod off. Anyway, I stayed home for 3 straight years, doing nothing but paying off my house and it is paid off. I thought that buying a home and getting it paid off would allow me to get my bad debt paid off, but I guess there's no second chances for us. No wonder there are so many homeless Veteran's out there.

    NewDay and other loan institutions do not care about us Veterans and their ads are deceptive. Just another bunch of Hucksters trying to take advantage of Veterans. In my opinion, if you have served, been injured, lost your family and your financial well being, you should be able to get a 100% mortgage for a home and stability, regardless of your credit rating. That would help Veterans, not a promise of a 100% mortgage that you cannot obtain. I am writing to my Congressman and requesting a full review of NewDay USA and their advertising campaign and business practices.

    I refinanced my home after first intending to refinance with money from the process to pay down bills. When the appraisal came in too low for that I was offered the option to simply refinance the cost of the home, which I did. This ended up giving me a savings of over $1000 a month due to a lower rate and a lower mortgage amount. My account manager was Nicholas **. He was extremely helpful in the process by promptly responding to my questions and to any problems that arose. One thing that I would have found to have been very helpful would have been to have someone contact me after I received the preliminary closing documents to explain questions I had and to make sure I understood all of them.     Our experience was not the norm. Usually someone can get a refinance within 60 day or less. However, our situation was not the norm. Kirk called us after a representative had told us that we did not qualify for a refinance. He asked us more detailed questions and saw that we could qualify for an exception.     I was led to believe that your organization was dedicated to helping, no relieving the veteran from financial pressures. I am a US Marine veteran 72 years of age still dealing with a war that we could never win or it seem not supposed to win. But at any rate your representative Tony ** did an excellent job selling your position of helping veterans and I have read your core principles that doesn't meet my experience. It was almost a done when the package was rejected because my home didn't qualify as it was a manufactured home, nobody asked up front and should have before I got my hopes up for help.     Delay in rate lock cost us money. Plus on the original start of refinancing hardly any communication with female loan officer. She acted like she could care less and always GAVE excuses for lack of communication. For people who advertise they care about veterans MAYBE if the loan officers WERE veterans and know what it is like to be SCREWED then they might act like they care.

    We were told originally we were going to save $350 plus in refinancing which it was NOT true 'cause they did NOT put in the CORRECT numbers even though they were provided them, example 10 cents a year for wind and hail insurance which it was $1969 per year which brought it down to a savings of $105 PER MONTH. If they had tried to lock the rate quickly which they did NOT, I could have PAID the 6th payment EARLY if it meant LOCKING the rate but because it was delayed the savings went down to barely $50 a month and will take YEARS to catch of the difference of refinancing based on cost. Both loan officers should be ashamed of themselves for WAITING so long to lock the rate and SCREWING a VET AGAIN.

    The NewDay commercials were inviting and appealing as a spokesperson who claims to be a veteran to help other veterans get into a home. False, I called and was turned down due to not perfect credit. I then called a Texas local mortgage person who got me a VA loan approved that same day and am now in my home. The NewDay USA company wanted me to go on one of their programs to assist bringing up my credit score when in fact it did not have to be raised. I was able to get a VA loan for 100% of my home loan through a local mortgage broker. You would think by the NewDay commercials that they are experts and really want to help, I am disgusted watching their ad now. They are no friend to veterans, unless you have perfect credit I guess.

    They use a bait and switch method for FHA & VA home loans. None of these people are veterans, I wonder if Thomas Lynch is actually a veteran.     Beware of dealing with this opportunist fraud organization. The difference between their loan and the identical Federal Credit Union was more than 1% higher rates after. 2 point buy down, more than $10000 additional charges in closing costs, $300 a month higher monthly mortgage payment all the while settling a cash payout on a refinance of $25000 less than the Credit Union. Their process was slow, paper intense and I spent more time working for them than they did for me. I highly recommend Veterans to RUN!!

    I wanted to get a home equity cash out on my house. I too fell for their TV ads and (after 20 letters in the mail in 3 months) I decided to give them a try. First, instead of giving me cash out, they want to pay off most of my debts. What that means is that debts that I have now for 1 to 3 years remaining are now going to take 30 years to pay off instead. The next problem is with the appraisal. I bought my house 5 years ago for $178,000. Their appraiser appraised the value of my house based on 3 other houses, but not mine. I looked up the other 3 houses on Zillow.com and the appraisal was 4 to 5 thousand less than their actual value. (2 of the 3 were actually sold in the past 3 months so the values shown on Zillow were accurate.)

    Anyway, after owning my house for 5 years they appraised it for only $172,000. Property values have gone up by 6% in the past year, not down. So, I looked my house up on Zillow and (to my surprise) my home's value is $196,000. NewDay USA would have been ripping me off for over $25,000. There is no way I am doing business with these people. Oh, one more thing, my current interest rate of 3.75% would have gone up to 5.25%.

    If you're a Vietnam vet that exists on $1800 retirement NET and $1300 SS NET per month, don't bother with these jerks. They told me I had to have $2200.oo per month disposable income after all utilities/home insurance/car insurance/etc. There is no way we'll ever be able to qualify. The Admiral is a liar, and they only want to give loans to a higher middle class. Waste of my breath and time on the phone.

    First, a letter comes in the mail, unsolicited, address to my spouse and stating that as a Veteran she is pre-qualified to 100% refinance our home. What a load of BS. She never served. Second, I tried to check their interest rate but that depends on the results of a credit check. Another load of BS. Third, I have a 20 year mortgage and they want to write a 30 year mortgage to get the monthly payment below $700. If this isn't enough to convince to not do business with NewDay Veterans USA then you should keep reading the negative reviews.

    Wow, NewDay USA is so great. As a veteran, I only had to call customer service 1 time due to my own error. I accidentally clicked on "submit payment" twice. They told me to just skip a payment the next month.

    Such a great company with such a great purpose. Helping veterans is so admirable and this company strives to go above and beyond for each and every vet. A lot of people wrote poor reviews and I’m wondering if we are even reviewing the same company because in my experience it is nothing less than 5 stars. Of course they can’t help everyone and just because you are a vet doesn’t mean you are entitled to a loan. I’m glad you served but your credit score is 500 how do you honestly expect to get a loan? But I digress. All in all great company!

    I was in the mortgage business for years so have experience with fees and charges. I didn't follow through with using this company because their fees were outrageous. They were charging a higher interest rate and fees in excess of 10,000 of who I ended up going through. This company is taking advantage of veterans and stay away from them.

    NewDay USA is a scam to try hitting vets when they're down. Unfortunately, at the time I applied, I was not... Lewis ** on August 2 lied about my FICO Score being below 740 and said it was the only way. I have a 748 mid score. Tried to raise my 3.5% loan to a 3.75% with a buy down of $3k for a 1/2 point. WHAT??? They're a scam. I called Mr. ** on the line and he says, "they vary." I said, "Yes they do but mortgage companies use the mid score, otherwise my high is 772." They also pay the $400 for your appraisal, (but charge all closing costs. Amerisave gave me a no fee loan, just paid appraisal, way more money in my bank.)

    Info: I owe $58k on a $349k house in California. Current payment $452 on a 3.5%. So definitely not desperate. Not dumb either, just purchased a car at 0% 2 months prior. I called Amerisave, same day. Ironically, even after re running my credit, my FICO goes up to 748 remarkably. I went to docs in 15 days, signed on 8/25, disbursed on 8/29, 15 yr 3.5%, no change, just paid all of my debt off. Actual New payment $972 @, 3.5%, paying off over 70k in high balance crap and my condo I own as well.

    (NEWDAY PROPOSED $1298) 3.75%. The day of closing, NewDay sends me a list of 15 more things I needed to qualify for their ** loan? All Amerisave needed was basic stuff, not your entire life history. NewDay USA Supervisor called back and asked why I wasn't following through on 8/25, an hour before the notary showed up at my house to sign Amerisave Docs. I ripped him and he said he'll have his supervisor call me back. Well, no callback, of course. Silver spoon ** who now run the Washington Mutual of 2017 with no recourse. Call Amerisave and you'll feel the speed, professionalism and relief. #NewdayUSA, #TRUMP, #MORTGAGE, #RIPOFF, #DACA.

    I applied for a VA refinance and a representative named Joe called me, I asked about doing a refinance and he was talking about a cashout, I told him I wanted a refinance. He asked and received more than enough information to determine if I qualified. He said he had to run a credit report on me and then said while I was ok in that area but they could not do the mortgage because of my income. That made no sense to me as he had this information in advance and should not have had to run a credit report to determine that. This ended up with me taking a hit on my credit for no reason whatsoever. I do not want to take any action against them but my advice is to stay away from this company.

    As a former USN of 13 years I got sucked into the advertisement about how they take care of their veterans. This has been a total disaster! Lies and misstatements from Alex **, our fine "agent." Calls to try to contact VP of Compliance as well as other "executives" is next to impossible. We tried to rectify these issues but only met BS and resistance. One of the worse experiences I have ever had. Please, take your business anywhere else. File complaints with BBB (they are not even recognized by), Consumer Affairs, Veteran Administration, Attorney General of your state, state and federal representatives. This company defrauds veterans and smiles all the way to the bank.

    I applied for a VA loan and was given a 4.7 interest rate and my FICO score is over 820. Ridiculous. I went with Wyndham Mortgage for 3.7 VA Loan. Looks good on TV but not so good when one applies for a VA loan with NewDay USA.

    My wife and I are self-employed. We want to install a $60,000 pool and it can be hard to borrow from banks. I was turned into NewDay USA as a lender for veterans. I applied for $60k only to get an offer back that refi's my home from 3.75 to 4.75 PLUS a $21,000 closing cost (1% higher on my $250k mortgage). It would cost me almost $100,000 just to borrow the $60k, not including the interest or payments on the loan. It appears that they were trying to take ALL of the equity out of my house.

    When my grandfather called them today, he got beat around the bush. We thought nothing of it because they sounded honest. Little did I know that "Being guaranteed" wasn't true. My grandfather had high hopes going in, but left angry. They asked a slaughter of personal questions that didn't get us anywhere. Plus things were "set up" so my grandfather wasn't eligible. It just makes me mad. Somebody should shut them down. Now! This is not fair or right to any veteran. I bet they just want to empty your wallet and your 401k leaving you with dashed hopes and dreams. I wish I could rate them a 0!

    I recently closed a refi with New Day USA. Not only was I charged $7900 in fees, they gave me a 4.75 interest rate which when I had it looked over after the fact several people told me it was criminal and highway robbery and there's no way they should charge that amount of fee and if they did, the interest rate should've been much much lower. I feel compromised and I'm sad and I even called my mortgage contact and he said everything was above board and legal. That's all he had to say.

    I called NewDay to get a home repair loan. I was approved for $12,500 but the catch was it would raise my mortgage by 280.00 a month for 30 years. That's 3,360 a year for 30 years of my mortgage that equals over one hundred thousand dollars for a 12 thousand dollar loan. Who is in charge of these vampires, don't they have any concise, moral, or feelings for American Veterans. The next time we go to combat for them we should charge them hundreds of thousands of dollars or just tell them to go kill the enemy themselves.

The customer service I received was above and beyond my expectations (Nathan ** was the best!). Just a little background of my credit: Bankruptcy (Discharged 2015), two tax liens (paid), slow credit.     I called their phone number just to get some information on their NewDay 100 Home Loan advertised on TV. They called back... and said the call "might take a half an hour". I talked to a Bryce who asked me lots of questions about my home. I wanted to refinance because I had both a first loan and an expensive 2nd Line of credit loan, and hoped to reduce my interest rate. After about 35 minutes I told them my home was held in a family trust, and the loan agent said that since this was a VA related loan, they couldn't make the loan, and this was resulting in a DENIAL of my application. I hadn't even been told that I was making a formal loan application. So I said then I want to withdraw the application.

    This they said they couldn't allow, since I had given them my social security number and allowed them to check my credit report. Apparently this constitutes (according to them) a formal loan application. But since VA loans cannot be made to properties in a trust, they would have to issue me a denial. I said but I have excellent credit, and an excellent FICO score, and this will be a big huge Ding on my credit report. They basically said, "Tough... you just applied for a loan, your property is in a trust, so we have to deny the loan." This was about the time they had just informed me that I had officially filled out a loan application over the phone!! I said, "But I never signed anything, so how could this be a formal loan application" and NewDay said simply it was a formal application.

    That was 3 days ago, and today I received their official "denial" letter denying me a loan, AND... incorrectly stating that they had used information from my credit report to deny the loan. FALSE... They told me it was totally because the property was held in a family trust. I am going to pursue legal resolution if my credit scores take a hit. This outfit is doing a sham business in my view, since they NEVER once told me I was making an official and formal loan application until AFTER I had told them the property was held in a trust, and they informed me this resulted in denial. Angry, and willing to take action about this.

    My wife and I are both Navy vets. My wife is fully disabled. We have a home that has a ton of equity in it and we decided we wanted to get a cash-out loan to make some home improvements as well as afford my wife a service dog to help with her medical conditions. We decided to try NewDay USA after her father made a suggestion. What a total mistake.

    We are the perfect examples of why this company is a joke. We have outstanding credit, great income, low debt, lots of equity in our home, and no late payments. But because I am an over-the-road trucker they denied us. On the grounds that I am not at home enough to be considered a permanent resident, they told us. Are these people serious? They strung us on for a month straight, making us everything fax under the sun including multiple electric/water bills proving we reside there, and at the last moment they pull the plug on us and basically give some bs excuse and leave us hanging.

    But their small print and numbers tell us that we are the ones who are lucky. Their finance charges are astronomical, and we found a much better way to get the money we need without having to pay out 9k in "closing costs." Don't trust a company who fronts it with some unknown guy saying he's a Rear Admiral and how much they care for vets. If people actually DID as much as they say they care, the VA wouldn't suck and there wouldn't be a 22/day issue.

    You can have a lot of money in the bank... You can own two homes free and clear... You can have the best credit... But if you don't make over $1725 a month you won't qualify. The other lenders have no such rigid standards to get a VA home loan as NewDay USA.

    Today I spoke a loan representative name Cody. After taking all my credit information. He tells me I have to show that I have landlord experience on a W2 in order to get the loan amount requested. Where is that on the loan application? These people are not for service member unless it leads to a big commission for the loan officer and the lender.

    Facts, they are not a mortgage lender, they are document processor, the charges for processing our loans are insane. The rates are worse. My score is 786. They hounded me for months about my income and bills. I had no bills, WHY? I cancelled the process. Navy federal credit union gave me lower rate, better online process, saved me thousands. Take note, my VA appraisal was 100% based on neighborhood comps. Bad idea, I complained to VA HQ. Lady said, "I don't care if you have totally remodelled your home, we go by neighborhood comps only." Local real estate folks and closer said appraisal was at least 50k below actual market value. So beware of what expect and what you get.

    House loan. They said they don't go by credit score, well they LIED because they looked up score and said they couldn't help. But at first they said they could and didn't go by your score. Then THOMAS said VA couldn't help because we don't owe any money on the house and FHA wouldn't help because a couple late payments. So this company lied big time. So don't waste your time calling them unless you are rich... Then you don't need them.

    I did a primary application for NewDay USA, as I wanted to do a cash out refinance VA loan since I have a substantial amount of equity in my home. I read reviews online after I applied and decided that this company was not for me. I sent an email and told them "never mind" and to cancel. I received a call from Dan **, a loan specialist asking me why I wanted to cancel. To make a long story shorter, he convinced me to give them a try. I did, and it is just a little over 3 weeks since I applied and I close tomorrow with a loan that I am happy with.

    After reading many negative reviews throughout the internet, I realized that many of these negative people did not qualify for the loan for which they applied and blame it on NewDay. Also, I saw comments to the effect of "I am on a fixed income and they would not work with me", or "Our VA appraiser came up with numerous repairs that needed to be done" and they slam NewDay. Well, this is not their fault obviously and I realized that the reviews are just people not doing their part or they weren't qualified for whatever reason in a lot of cases. I can tell you that when I was asked for something, I sent it. My loan officer, Dan **, is a straight shooter and the process was not complicated or drawn out. Yes, the fees are a little high, but I am happy with my loan and it was completed within 30 days. A word to the wise, take many of the negative reviews with a grain of salt.

    As a Navy vet I saw the commercial and had a shadow of hope that there was someone out there who could help us get back on track and get ahead of our debt. I didn't even make it past the registration form as it was telling me I had an error to fix. The error was the spelling of my wife's name, she spells her name Hilary. I was not allowed to move past this form as it told me this was not legitimate spelling of a first name. Who has the right to tell another person how to spell their name?? Or for that matter refuse moving forward on a form because THEY don't recognize the spelling?? Would not have anything to do with this company or any other that acts in this manner.

    We wanted to get a better rate and clean up some debt. I have had five previous mortgages at different addresses in the past. I am a small business owner who has had difficulties in the past with mortgage companies who would ask me to submit copy after copy of various documents. Some would ask for the same document two or three times.

    So after months of watching the NewDay commercial I called the phone number. I was greeted with an introduction and a thank you for your service, I discussed my needs with a Kevin ** who was very professional and courteous. He asked me for the "various" documents and was never repetitious. Kevin expedited the process and we closed in thirty days and paid off our debt. This was the easiest mortgage or refi I have ever bought. I recommend NewDay and Kevin very highly. I will return to NewDay if I have any future mortgage needs. Call them!

    My father used NewDay USA and referred me to them. I can't speak highly enough as to how smooth, transparent and positive my experience was. The whole process took three weeks. Veteran friends used other lending institutes and had horrible experiences and even some of the good ones took 4 months. Kevin was patient, informative, transparent and reviewed my numbers every time I asked. I got a solid deal and accomplished all the goals with this loan I needed to. I highly recommend NewDay USA 100 if this is the type of loan you are looking for.

    I am a Navy Retired Veteran looking to finance my home. I have a contract for deed in Minnesota and saw the commercial on NewDay USA and thought it sounds good. Boy was I a fool. After spending lots of cash to fax papers to Teddy, I found out I was declined the loan because I could not prove my address. WTF. I lived here for 6 years. My property tax bill has my name, address, utilities in my name. The reason is bull. Never had I ever been so disappointed in the bull that this place hands out 2 customers out of many like this place. I hope that ** Admiral is reading this complaint.

    This needs to have a "zero stars" option. So the NewDay mortgage representative said "your application looks excellent, credit score is great, no income issues ..." (provided 2 years of tax returns, I'm self employed). This went on for a few months, more and more information etc. Then finally we get the appraisal done, exactly what I estimated ($185,000) to the penny (suspicious). But we're in the home stretch then, or so I thought, but 'voila', then he calls and says "I just looked at your numbers ..." (apparently, for the FIRST TIME) ... "and oops, you're not affluent enough (didn't have enough income)."

    I had even changed my residency, to the state where my home was, one with high state income tax which I now have to pay for last year. (I had been a resident of a state with no income tax). So be advised, if you're not rich, don't bother. If you are rich, go to your local bank, you don't need these creeps anyway. They claimed the VA insisted in collecting $5700 closing costs, doesn't that sound even more scummy and scummy.

    I'm a U.S Navy Veteran. After watching the TV commercials ad nauseam with the 32-year veteran, I decided to call and get a quote. Spoke with Peter (last name withheld) on a Wednesday. He said he could give me a quote after about 10 minutes of questions. 50 minutes later and I'm at Defcon 4 because of all the redundant irrelevant questions and the huge time overrun. I told him that I'm hanging up since he still couldn't give me a rate, all I was asking for was a 15 or 30 year fixed rate. Every other lender I spoke to gave me that information in 10 minutes or less. So, Peter tells me he will call the next day and he'll have my options to discuss. No call the next day (Thursday) from Peter. I call his office 3 times Friday, each time leaving a message to please call me. My 3rd message may have contained a few expletives as I couldn't believe how lame this company was at returning calls & treating their perspective clients respectfully.

    At the most inopportune time on Saturday evening, Peter called me. I told him I am no longer interested and hung up. 4 days later I get a ton of papers from FedEx overnight delivery. It's a packet of all the paperwork for my mortgage. I only asked for a quote and Peter sent me this packet with about 50 papers to sign, all within a specific time period, etc.. Peter called me about a week later and asked why I hadn't signed and returned all the papers. I told him, first I only wanted a quote to think about and then make a decision.

    Secondly, why would I refinance at 4.4% when my current mortgage is 4.3%? That makes absolutely no sense. Why didn't you notice how ridiculous that is when you sent me that packet that I never requested? He couldn't give me an answer. I really can't recall ever having dealt with such incompetence. A woman from NewDay called me about a month after I had received the papers and asked how my experience was with NewDay. I told her horrible and please don't ever bother me again.

    I don't understand why NewDay USA wants to keep wasting paper by sending me mail every month. It's ridiculous! I followed the directions and call the number, put my address in to request my address be taken off the mailing list for all mail offers and still get junk mail. What does it take? NewDay is wasting their time, my time, paper and their money. IF NEWDAY IS READING THIS STOP THE MAIL ALREADY, YOU'RE NOT GETTING MY BUSINESS!!!

    Wow, there needs to be a class action lawsuit against these people. I went seven months of BS before giving up on the process. All was good in qualifying, the appraisal, income, credit report and such. Was supposed to be closing several times with all the inspections passing and then nothing. Would not hear back from them. Then when I did, the water test timed out, then the WDI inspection timed out. Then was told I could not get any more extensions and the whole process timed out. Did not even know I was even in extension mode. Dan told me I had to start all over again but said it is a good thing because I qualified for a better rate and closing cost were less. So I proceeded, everything is good and should close in a week or two.

    Then after all this time a new requirement was demanded that was to have my LP heaters inspected by a HVAC inspector, and verify that they are installed to local building codes, which there are no such codes, and that they are furnished with an oxygen depletion sensor. I had furnished info on these heaters, early on, pages of the manufacturer's manual clearly stating that they do. Many months ago at this time, faxed it again but was not accepted. OK. I go through the phonebook asking HVAC Companies about the inspection now required by NewDay and these people think I am out there somewhere as they never heard of such an inspection and I could not find anyone to do it. This was just a bogus requirement. And of course, good old Dan from NewDay said he was making calls to on my behalf but did not have any success either. He even told me he did not know why this was requested.

    So, then while this was happening, all of a sudden the original appraisal had timed out and that another one had to be done. I could not believe my ears. Are you kidding me? I finally said "Forget it. I do not want your loan." It was during the last couple of months in my 7 months of faxing this and that, arranging inspections, spending over 2,000.00 I really started looking into them and wished I did before I ever made that call long ago.

    When you see a commercial such as theirs several times a day, (FOR AND ON BEHALF OF VETERANS), you think you would be treated fairly and apply for a benefit (THAT YOU DID IN FACT EARN). I realize that some of us qualify for what we are looking for and some of us do not, but surely, if you do not, you would think you would be told from the start and not drag someone through the coals for 7 months. I think a lot of what goes on with them and their methods has nothing to do with the VA at all.

    This is a bogus company which seems to be very arbitrary and unethical. I have saved every email and every document, that state the apparent false status through my process and the time lapses that were intentionally executed to time out my process. (2 times.) I do not intend to let this go and that is why you are reading this. Please save yourself your dignity and do not waste your time. The Admiral in the commercial should be ashamed of himself and NewDay should be shut DOWN.

    Waste of time. Spent close to an hour chatting with Acct. Exec. Although I have three other Lenders waiting for me to call and close with them, New Day decided I wasn't a candidate for refi. I believe New Day is highly scrutinizing Veterans and only financing those well positioned. If you got a 600 something score (mine was 680) they do not seem interested and will WASTE YOUR TIME FILTERING FOR HIGH CREDIT SCORES!

    The commercials by this company look great, but the retired admiral representing NewDay should be ashamed of himself. After viewing this commercial several times I decided to call. After reviewing my situation they said "sorry, we can't help." I had a credit score over 800, and am a vet. My current mortgagor, Green Tree said yes, they could refinance me, Quicken Loans said yes, MiLEND said yes, and Loan Depot said yes. We ended up going with MiLEND, and were very satisfied with the results. I WOULD NEVER CONTACT NEWDAY loans, and I resent their implied support of veterans. I think it is a scam, and gave them one star only because I couldn't give give them zero.

    I am a 77 yr old disabled vet. I receive $1500 per month income. I haver no active loans. My "scores" are at 644. I am qualified for the VA loan. I earned serving approx 4 yrs (1958-1960). NewDay seemed to be interested in making a loan on a $56,000. Cond in Banner Elk NC 28204. My only liabilities I am aware of at $550 monthly lease option rent for a full year. Prior to that I paid $550 per month on a rental that burned down because of a Lexmark printer explosion according to the fire marshal. In all cases I paid my monthly rent of $550 per month on the 5th of each month by automatic bank draft. I have paid my monthly living expenses each and every month.

    NewDay disqualified me because "income insufficient for amount of credit required" ($56K. Being a low-income Vet with disabilities). I find NewDay's "reason" for denial extremely offensive and highly discriminatory. Do the math. PITI on a $56K home loan (VA) would, in fact LOWER my monthly housing expense from $550 to under $400 per mo (approx) effective giving me a "raise" in my income by around $$150 per month. I held no secrets from NewDay when I was solicited for a loan.

    I harbor no illusion that this "complaint" will result in anything but "Trump" like excuses. I would RECOMMEND that any Vets low income seeking for secure a home with VA benefits they earned serving their county to AVOID the humiliation set forth by New Day. I also suggest "New Day" to change its name to BAD DAY. Thank you for this forum for whatever good my experience may do to assist other low income disabled vets.

    I'm not quite sure why there are too many negative comments about this company. My husband and I refinanced and took cash out to pay off some debts in mid-July 2016. The process took about 45 days. We have substantial amount of debts but our income combined is pretty good. Credit score is about 680+. We closed last Friday and received all the checks yesterday to pay off our creditors. We are very happy about that. Yes there's tons of fees that they charge but they were able to waived about 10k so they can approved the loan. We didn't have any issue with the fees because we are paying off at least 70% of our debts. Ben ** had helped and guided us through the process. I would say the process is a little tedious but I can understand why. We had refinance before but we had never taken cash out of our equity. We didn't pay anything for appraisal nor termite inspection.

    I think people maybe having issues is because they are not meeting all the requirements that company are requesting. We were on top of everything. Every documents they requested we ensure they are available within hours max 24 hrs from the time they requested it. We comply in everything they needed us to do. We are very happy!!!     Applied for VA refinance loan. I am retired, have plenty in the bank to pay off my home or mortgage if I want to but for tax and liquidity reasons prefer to just refinance. Amy ** pulled my Transunion credit score which was over 800. She needed one more score but I had to remove the freeze on one of them (Experian or Equifax). Executed temporary unfreeze for 24 hours from 9-10 Aug, called her and let her know. On 11 Aug I get a voicemail from her stating that because she still can't pull a 2nd report, she will have to put my application on hold.

    I called her back and asked her if she had attempted to contact me to let me know there was a problem so that I could call the credit bureau that I had paid a fee to unfreeze my report. She hesitated, then said she had (I later searched my phone and found no missed calls or voicemails from her). The subject of my lack of employment came up again in the conversation. I asked her if that was going to prevent approval even if the other report comes back with a credit score over 800 and she said yes. I told her that this would have been helpful to know before wasting my time (and the money I paid for the Experian fee). She stated that it made no difference how much money I have in reserve, as they would only consider actual "income". On a side note: in my research for another lender I learned that there is NO INCOME REQUIREMENT FOR IRRRL LOAN!!!

    I have been communicating with Andrew and he is giving me the impression that this is not a company that I want to deal with. He does not call or answer my email. His initial email asks over 25 questions including what I want to do with the money and other unwarranted questions. My wife and I would just like to learn about the program as advertised on TV by Col. Lynch all the time. One would think that a company that wants to deal with veterans and that spends millions for advertising would be a little more professional. What a waste.

    My husband is a veteran and watching the television commercial it sounded like something we would be interested in. After 3 months into the application, the person supposedly helping with the loan continued to ask for ridiculous evidence of our qualifications for the refinance loan. With the last phone call from them, I recall that they were recanting on their offer that they originally made and were changing some of the important points, which they had used to convince us that it was a good deal. These people should not be allowed to continued to prey on VA families, as they disrespect veterans. This was very sad for us.

    I am a Veteran of 10 years active duty service. Like millions of other middle-aged, middle-class men, I lost my job and was unemployed for 15 months before finally landing another job. We missed mortgage payments, but prior to missing any we notified our mortgage company (OCWEN) of our issues. They promised to "work with us" and that our credit would not be affected adversely as long as we communicated with them. This complaint is not about OCWEN - that will be a subsequent complaint. When things became desperate and in order to avoid being thrown out on the street including our 10-year-old daughter - we pulled all our pension money out and brought our mortgage current. We then sought out help from NewDay to refinance and hopefully reduce our interest rate and combine 1st and 2nd mortgages in order to hopefully reduce the monthly total as well, as the new job pays 1/3 what the old job paid.

    NewDay said no problem, as long as our current mortgage company revised the status of our mortgage to current, which OCWEN did. I called the NewDay rep again. He pulled our credit report and said that the report does show current, but still shows the months that were not paid on time. Clearly, NewDay is ONLY interested in providing mortgages to those with PERFECT credit ratings and histories and has no interest in helping veterans and their families who fell on hard times and need the help that NewDay advertises they are all about. To say NEWDAY IS A SCAM IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. Retired Rear Admiral Lynch should be ashamed of himself. The FTC should close down their ads as FALSE ADVERTISING. They should be blacklisted on the BBB, and frankly, as scam artists, they should go straight to jail.

    We contacted them in regards to getting a home loan. Following a short sale, our credit score are good. We have only had 2 late payments in our credit history which were to be able to file for short sale. They say they will do all they can to help but when I called them they stated no matter what credit score was and no matter we only had 2 late payments in over 20 years of credit history they would make us wait 5 years, yes 5 years! Normal banks only require 2 years and New Day had a much higher percentage rate. They are a scam. They don't want to help veterans. They only want perfect credit people to issue loans to. Very disappointed in a company that states they "are here to give a hand up to veterans". It really should be "we are here to try and take advantage of veterans".

    I have read some of the reviews about NewDay USA since my refinancing and can honestly say I wish I had read them prior because I would have chosen a different financial institute to do business with. As a disabled veteran, I fell for them saying that they waived many of the fees for being disabled. My process began in Nov 2015 and I just finally closed on the deal Apr 2, 2016. We went back and forth numerous times over a five or six week period about a private road maintenance agreement and when I was told to get it signed because it was good the next day I received an email stating more changes had to be made. This was the kind of hoops I had to jump through and headaches I had to put up with. They drag their feet over this to where they wanted me to pay for another termite inspection which I refused to do so.

    My agent then said they would try to waive it but were waiving more than usual for me to which I responded I was a disabled vet and you offered those waivers. Before closing day the dollar amount was given to me for a refund and at closing the amount was about 500 dollars less than quoted to me. Upon talking to the agent handling my paperwork he began to try to justify where the 500 dollars went and how I was going to be saving money in the long run. Never got a definite answer about the 500 dollars. My experience with this company was just about the worst experience I have ever dealt with in my life. Again I say I really wished I had done a little digging into the background of the company that is all for the veteran. VETERANS BEWARE!!! This company is truly not what you would think it is.

    The ad on television is a farce. Tom Lynch is a sham! This company has no idea what a veteran goes through. In these tough economic times Vets have had financial issues like everyone else. I applied for a VA loan and this company wants you to be perfect. No credit blemishes even though I have a credit score of over 700. They would not give me a mortgage because I lost a home almost five years ago. Went to another company and was pre-approved in two days! New Day has also been under investigation.     I recently applied for a VA backed loan from New Day USA. I had seen the TV commercials featuring ADM Tom Lynch. His strong message to Veterans got me to call the 800 number. I was so glad I made the call. When the representative answered, he gave me his telephone number and said he would be with me through the entire loan application process. That impressed me greatly. We were in frequent contact by both email and telephone throughout the process. He worked extremely hard in gathering all the information and documents he needed from me to complete the process. As stated by ADM Lynch, I was able to refinance my home loan with a lower payment, pay off credit card debt, and have money in the bank. I was finally able to have my house painted with the money I received. This entire process was the most pleasant I have ever had. I highly recommend that any Veteran looking to refinance a home loan contact New Day USA.

    It is amazing that this corporation is allow to remain in business. It is one of most high pressure sales organizations that I have ever run across and all they want to do is sell, sell and sell more. They want to get you the highest mortgage that you can legally afford so that the sales commissions of the mortgage specialists can make huge amounts of money. They really don't care about us as Veterans, they just want to make money off us.     Almost every day I get an UNWANTED, UNSOLICITED, mailer from New Day USA, despite these facts: I'm not a veteran, nor am I closely related to any. Am not interested in borrowing, refinancing or anything else from this company. I am on the National do not mail list. I have called and requested to be removed from their mailing list many times and every time I was promised I would be removed. So they are liars, too!

    I am an environmentalist that does everything I can to reduce my carbon footprint and am appalled and offended daily by their callous waste of paper sending millions of unwanted mail. Everything about this company offends me. I would NEVER do business with them! I would be willing to join any boycott, protest or overthrow of this company and would love to see their board publicly outed for the scum sucking lowlifes preying on veterans that they are!

    Should have read comments from your readers... They are very accurate on fraudulent type activities carried on by NewDay. All negative comments they nitpicked about were answered in most positive responses. They stalled me for more than 4 months and still have not accepted or declined my application. Have gone through at least 3 POC's since application began. Am so ticked off... I penned up letters to the mighty Admiral and complained, but no response. Any former military officer should be very aware of the negative conduct his subordinates/associates.

    Researched a legitimate bank for my mortgage and got positive response. I compared cost figures from NEWDAY and other bank and was astounded to see that NEWDAY costs were nearly double figures I received from competitor. The Admiral must be receiving one-hell-of-paycheck to put his name and his reputation on the line for a firm, in my opinion is conducting business in a most dubious/deceitful manner.

    I just made my first payment after 2 weeks of stress on if I was going to be a late payment for my first payment as I got piss poor info as to where to send my first payment. I talked to one person in your Pittsburg office named Larry who blew me off and gave me a phone number which was not even NewDay. I called the NJ office on 10/13 to find out whether or not they had received my payment and was told they had not, yet it cleared my bank account this morning 10/14 by 8 am. For something you had not received yet, it certainly cleared really really quick, like overnight. I am beginning to get a really bad feeling about NewDay Mortgage!!

    Had I known I was going to get a run around on where to send my payment, I would have gone with another loan company. You should have ONE place that payments go to!!!

    I too believed the tv ads, and found nonsense and craziness beyond belief! Questions that were not only non-stop, but also unnecessary. (Some were downright intrusive.) I received more paperwork than on induction in the Navy & Army combined! The final straw came with a bill for $4455.02! I guess this was my "benefit" as a veteran! I wanted to vent with these folks when I trashed their paperwork, but they very nicely fail to provide an email address. They sure caused me lots of grief, and held up the process of getting my home.     We applied for a first time VA Loan after seeing the convincing TV commercials. They quoted us a rate of over 1% higher and tens of thousands of dollars in fees higher than other VA Lenders. We have excellent credit. We took our business elsewhere and it makes me sick to my stomach every time I see their ads on TV fearing that some other veteran will be suckered in. In my opinion, They should start a New Day by having their license revoked.

    This experience has been awful from the beginning. We went through three loan officers because the company kept losing their employees. Plus paperwork had to be signed numerous times and mailed at our expense. The "FREE " appraisal that is advertised is not free but added into loan charges. We were told after almost three months process that we should re-apply in May 2016 due to one late payment on a current second mortgage with a perfect first mortgage payment history. What a waste of money and time on our part. Veterans beware.

    First of all the high review I read sounds fake. I am an Army Vet. NewDay scammed me all the way till credit score time. After the credit report that's when Kyiera tells me they don't accept anyone that's been late within the last FIVE years on home payment! Could have told me that information up front before pulling my credit and getting all my info that they are just gonna sell. They are not an up front company or a vet company. They are just a shady company wanting people with perfect credit regardless if you have very good credit. SO YOU BETTER HAVE PERFECT CREDIT. Called another in State company and got approved right off the bat for $400000 g's. Kiss my money bags, goodbye NewDay!!!

    It appears New Day USA is only for veterans who own a home, but if you own a Mobile Home you don't qualify, and I was only asking a loan for $10,000.00, so I guess what I own for a home isn't good enough to even qualify. It disturbs me to know that just because I don't live in a $60,000.00 home or higher they won't even consider me so I can do some home repairs, I even own my mobile home now free and clear so it should have made the process easier.

    This was the worst experience I have ever had dealing with a company. I tried to get a loan thru NewDay. I started the process may 4th 2015 after giving them all the info they requested and performing repairs to my house as per the FHA appraiser. They said on July 13, 2015 that the loan was declined due to condition of the house. They need the condition of the house in may 2015. So why it took an additional 45 days for them to come to that conclusion I have no idea. They contacted my employer without my knowledge. So who else knows what additional information they requested without my knowledge after they knew the condition of the house.

    If they didn't want to do business with me then they should have been upfront. I had to go thru multiple managers to get answers. The loan officer that was assigned to me in my opinion was clueless. The only time I got answers to the status of my loan was when I became upset and demanded answers. At one point I received an email stating that they would not be working on my loan this week because they were going to concentrate on loans that were going to close in June. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. It was just an all around bad experience. I don't know how they are still in business.

    False advertising. They do not service veterans... attempt to rip off instead.. We applied for a total of $161,000.00 and were approved on the spot. The total they finished with after their "fees" was $176,000.00. Certainly would not recommend them. Smooth talkers but a rip off. Past experiences of refinancing with other financial institutions have never exceeded $3000.00 including appraisals. The Admiral should check it out before he endorses this "company" that is stuffing their pockets from the "Veterans they seek to serve."

    First and foremost I will admit that my credit history is not the greatest, however I have greatly improved that over the last 5 years paying off all my bills and finally getting my financial house in order. After a long period of calls and paperwork I was denied because of 90 day late payments almost 5 years in the past! This company does not care about Veterans as they tout in their advertisements and one little issue will stop the process immediately!     I called to inquire about a stream line refinance of my VA loan. I am retired Navy so when I saw their commercial about treating Veterans more than just a number I thought maybe they would be different, boy was I wrong. I went through the whole application process and they even pulled my credit, which is 772 by the way. After about 45 minutes I was told that since I was involved in a short sale back in 2011 that they would not do anything for me for five years. It didn't matter that I was able to get a VA loan for my current home after only two years after the short sale. When I brought this up the guy said "our money our rules.” I feel they actual treat veterans worse than many other financial institutions that deal with VA loans. I will never have anything else to do with such an egotistical company ever again. Sad excuse for a company that says they treat veterans better than others.

    I contacted NewDay USA to find out what their loan rates were for a 15 year fixed rate mortgage. I did not want to give the guy my Social Security number to enable him to get a credit check because I already knew my FICO score which was almost 800. He insisted, and I caved. Too bad I didn't read the reviews before contacting them. The guy said he would pass my info along to someone who could help me within 24 hours. Haven't heard from them, and I'm sorry I was duped into believing their (false) advertising.

    This company is a scam, they promised to refinance my home and added $10,000 in fees not including interest. They had me pay for an appraisal and then denied the refi because the home did not appraise high enough when the $10,000 was added. These people should be shut down and forced to stop preying on military people.

    I was refused a loan with NewDay and their reason was is that I have not made a mortgage payment in many years. Even though I have credit ratings in the mid 700s with all three credit agencies. This outfit is a ripoff company and is not the least bit interested in the Veteran. All they want is your money. My best advice is stay away from NewDay. Their whole program is BS. The Admiral on TV should be ashamed of himself for trying to sucker in the Veteran who served his country. He should recant his statement. I wonder how much he was PAID to do this AD. You know I doubt if anybody at NewDay was ever in the service of his or her country.

    They wouldn't consider me for a debt consolidation loan. I was told by a representative that I must have a mortgage in order to get equity from my house. After I filled out an online application, I was sent a disapproval with extreme disorders with my credit etc. The part about a veteran being more than a credit score is an insult to me, a veteran. A totally bad experience for me; it's as if I was pushed aside for being too small in my request for a small loan.

We had allowed ourselves (wife and I) to take on too much debt while supporting our unemployed son who needed major surgery. Rep at New Day worked with us and we could not be happier.     Recently I contacted New Day to refinance my VA mortgage on my house. The individual that I contacted requested a lot of information in which I gave him most. I also attempted to find out the going interest rate on a 15 year mortgage and also find out approximately how much it would costs to refinance. He was not willing to give me any of this information, even though I requested approximate information. He insisted on running a credit check but I told him my score that I received from the bank, which is a 755. He made it a point to put down Credit Karma and said they are not accurate.

    He continue to want to run a credit check and I told him that every time someone runs a check it knocks a couple points off my score. They made a solid attempt on keeping me at a disadvantage and he quickly hung up. I strongly feel that he was hiding high costs from me. I would not recommend veterans use USA unless they become more forthright. Information is needed on both ends to make financial decisions and he clearly tried to take advantage of me.

    Suppose to close with in 30 days, now on day 41. They are telling me my house needs some painting and here we are the middle of Dec. I don't see too many houses being painted right now. If they don't want to give me the loan, just say so. At this point looking at reverse mortgage.

    I would suggest strongly that you disclose your high credit score requirement before you waste potential customers' time and lower their credit scores through your investigations. This is unfair to those trying to raise their credit score and a complete waste of valuable time. I find your business tactics to be lacking with so many canceled calls and inability to give clients undue time and attention!

    Solicited me regarding modification of my home loan and a 100% money back if they failed to provide a modification. I paid $4200 to them. No modification took place and company refusing to give money back. They keep transferring my calls to other people, and taking my number to give a call back. Then no one answers the phone.
