Our refinancing with Nationstar went well. Although, I haven't seen any benefits yet since this is my first month and I just made the first payment. I have 15 or 16 months to breakeven with all the cost that I had to pay for refinancing. Right now, I'm in the dark but I'll probably start seeing some of the positive changes within a year.

The refinance process was awful. There seemed to be little sense of urgency until it came time to receive the closing costs. Then, of course, contact was made daily. There was a lot of misinformation that was provided at almost every turn and they seemed to not really have a good knowledge of what was going on. To top it off, all of the contact information has been changed too, without my consent and is now being mailed to an alternative address.

I had my loan through Nationstar Mortgage and there were a few problems with my interaction with the professionals. They had moved my representative to a new desk and her computer didn’t get hooked up right so my email to her got lost three times. There was another issue when I had already sent my payment in and she wanted me to stop payment on the checck so I did, and then I again had to start payment back up on the check. It was a headache but they covered my fees so they did give me good service though there were few headaches and bumps.

The Nationstar reps were knowledgeable during my refinancing discussion and I did get the 15 year loan. I wasn't happy when after I started the whole process, I got a letter from Greenlight saying that if I stop what I was doing with Nationstar, Greenlight would give me 1.5% cheaper interest. But I had stayed with Nationstar since I had always good service with them and I was wanting to get down to the 15 years. I’m happy now to be coming double on what I’m paying per month, and with the service.

Nationstar was very helpful and willing to bend over backwards whatever problems or questions that we had. We were pushed over several years ago from whatever company we had at that time, and thinking we could save $200 to $300 a month so we might as well refinance with them and we did. They were all very, very nice. Our discussion of the refinancing options was very clear and to the point. We are saving around 300 per month so it saves us enough money to help us out. After a certain transaction, they would follow up and ask if we're happy with what happened. They did good follow-up.

The person from Nationstar that actually came to do the closing and had me sign all the paperwork was fine. After he left, and after they started the process of the paperwork they found out that there was a piece of paper that I was supposed to sign that hadn't been included. That held up the funding of the loan and it was difficult because we were in Mexico at that point. So, we had to figure out a way to get the form emailed to us, print it off, get it signed, get it scanned in, and then we had to have it sent back. So, we're on holiday and we set apart half a day of our vacation running around, trying to get the piece of paper signed. Everything about the process worked fine except for this one missing piece of paperwork which was just really disappointing because everything else went so well. It wasn't a great experience and it wasn't terrible - it was pretty good.

Most recently, I called to pay my mortgage and have my account unlocked. 20+ minutes after being on hold and told that I was NOT in the system, I hung up to get another representative. Nationstar's impound account consistently paid my property taxes two months late, one to two days before the late charge. Because the property taxes were past due, I had to pay them out of pocket for my refinance to get funded. Five weeks later they send my $2950.00 to the county, not to me. If Nationstar would have checked with the county, Nationstar would have seen that the taxes were paid over a month earlier and still past the due date. Refinance was needed due to Nationstar's refusal to remove the mortgage insurance, despite my meeting the required 78% debt to 22% equity and never being late on a payment.

Now, due to Nationstar's negligence, I have to wait for the county to process the payment that Nationstar states they wired a month ago, that still hasn't posted, and for the county to refund the funds to Nationstar. Then Nationstar said they will send it to me. Worst home loan company out there.

We wanted a lower monthly payment so we inquired about refinancing. Their staff seemed very friendly, polite, and knowledgeable during the process. I'm just a little disappointed in Nationstar because the first time we tried to refinance we were obnoxiously called by Nationstar several times a day for days. It was ridiculous. Finally, just to stop the phone calls I listen to what they had to say about refinancing and then I talked to someone who was a very friendly but the whole process dragged out for about 9 months and then I was told, "We're sorry, we can't refinance you. The rates had gone back up."

I didn't lock into a very good rate and at that point, the rates had gone back up and I couldn't go anywhere else. I'm very upset about the whole process. This time I was told certain things would happen and that didn't necessarily happen. They told me it would be an absolutely no fee closing cost but I was charged $500 for closing cost. When I complained about that they credit back a little bit. They tried to take care of my complaints but I am just dissatisfied.

I have been dealing with Nationstar since February and was told the entire process would take "2 weeks". That was a joke since I just can't seem to get my rep to stay-up on my account without calling every 3/4 days. She does not seem happy that I continue to call to check the status of what we previously had talked about but now, here I am, mid-April & today my loan is being sent to another mortgage company & will need to start the entire process again. I am not living in my home and I have in fact, not told my 6 y.o. daughter about our initial approval since I have not felt like this process was ever going to end & I just can't stomach breaking her heart.

Little back story: We are very behind on our mortgage but was promised we could get the modification & have everything brought current but now we've been awaiting "investor/underwriter" approval for 3+ weeks. How is that possible? I feel like I have been given the run-around & it is devastating because it's not just another account, it is our family home. We are in desperate need to get back into. No one at Nationstar seems to be concerned about completing individual accounts, just seems to be a management system of emails & phone calls. I am very disappointed.

Attached RMA to reply email same day (March 30, 2015). All submissions were within the 30 days. Loan mod app denied because application was said incomplete. Yet, I had provided Nationstar with complete application and all requested documents 5 times in 30 day period. A year ago we move out of our home that was mortgage through Nationstar. My husband was a first time buy and didn't know that we had to contact the company to let them know that we are moving due to our family growing larger. We contact the mortgage company and fill out paperwork and email/mailed and call numerous times for updates. Then around November 2014 we was declined for all have programs and we advised the home was up for foreclosure in Feb. 5, 2015.

We call and asked about short sale option. The rep. said that was not a option at this time. The rep. check my account and said the following things to me over the phone, "This what you should've done when you was looking for homes. You should have called us and notify us that you was looking so we could told you what to do about the current home you living." He looked in the account further and advised me that all the paperwork I did between Sept.2014 was declined.

The dedicated rep. that was assigned to me DID NOTHING, NO GUIDANCE, NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE WHEN I CALLED FOR ASSISTANCE. I advised the rep that I was never given the option of short sale when I was completing the paperwork in the beginning. We was told over the phone until it was too late! No follow-up call, nothing. Then recently we just found out that the home did not go up for foreclosure in Feb. 5, 2015.

We received a call today in April 14, 2015 that we was giving an extension for a short sale. We was never told that information until we finally received a phone call and the person actually left a message and we call them over the phone again. They told it too late for short sale. I am like we didn't receive email, phone call with a live person leaving a message left, or letter about an extension given. If the foreclosure attorney could mail a letter to our new house address, why couldn't they do the same about the extension given (that we never asked for) sent to us by mail? However, they can call when the extension/foreclosure is about to expire next month on the 5th of May.

This company and their lines of communication with the customers in my opinion is very poor. We always paid on time until we moved for our growing family in a new home and now we are going to have a foreclosure on our credit. Overall, I called about my account, my wife did, and we was told the same thing -- nothing could be done about the foreclosure in Feb. 2015. Now they gave an extension and never advised us about it. All they can say is that we call and we are like no and no one left a voice mail about nothing. I can't win for losing with this company and I honestly have tried to make it work and complete paperwork so I won't have this on my credit.

My experience with Nationstar was great except, I think Nationstar's closing paperwork is absolutely outrageous. As a matter of fact, I was gonna send it to the President of Nationstar bank. The thing is 200 pages that need to be signed. It took an hour and 15 minutes to sign the thing, and that was without even reading anything. In my opinion, that is insulting and offensive. I'm a professional and I've done closings before and I would be embarrassed to put that in front of somebody.

If it was my company making a loan and I saw that, I would go to the legal department and tell a lawyer who cook that up that they would be fired if they couldn't make it 25 pages. There's absolutely no cause to have 200 pages of documents needing to be signed. I even have to sign my name with aliases that I have never even heard of. They forced me to sign my name like I've never signed it before. The closing documents that are being used are totally inappropriate, unnecessary and insulting. But the girls that I work with were really good, very helpful and responsive. It was a great experience until the closing, which was an absolute disaster.

I want to say first of all the noticeable number of reviews obviously written by shills. I hope Nationstar does not think people are falling for that. BOA transferred my loan to Nationstar which was like jumping from the frying pan to the fire. After a 3 1/2-yr nightmare with BOA, six months into the loan, NS began harassing me saying my escrow account was short. After carefully doing the numbers I found that they had been overcharging me and that they actually owed me money! Since I would not pay the fraudulent extra amount they wanted, they began returning all my payments and then assessing fees against me.

This also included inspection fees to see if I "was still living in the home" -- even though they were receiving my payment each and every month like clockwork. Now they are threatening foreclosure, sending certified letters continuously. At one point I stupidly set up additional payments to cover the "supposed" shortage. Now I come to find out I never owed them any money. My attorney says they are perpetrating this same scam on thousands of unknowing customers.

They are a nightmare to deal with. They lie. They steal and they will not correct their mistakes. They have been trying to persuade me to "refinance with them" or do a "new loan modification" so that they can even MAKE MORE MONEY OFF ME. I am not falling for their tricks. These people are "banksters" in every sense of the word just like their parent company, BOA. DO NOT DEAL WITH NATIONSTAR. THEY HAVE THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS AGAINST THEM!

I called Nationstar customer service (well at least that's what they call it) and was told they could do NOTHING until the bank paid both, which would overdraw my account. Called my bank and stopped payment. Now Nationstar will not allow me to use that bank account to make a payment.

Get calls from them each month asking about my payment, even though it was already entered and on their website. Got another today, even though their website shows the payment processed. I had no choice on this lender as I was forced to them when Bank of America sold my account to them. Never have I dealt with such an non-helpful and unwilling "customer service" department. I would not recommend them to my worst enemy, and can't wait to sell my home and be rid of them. On a scale of 1 to 10, they are somewhere close to a negative 100000000.

Since March 25th I have talked to several NationStar Customer Service representatives (** and others) and have not been able to get title released. They did provide a note saying loan had zero balance which got me to settlement with no title. If the new title company (Hallmark Title in Vienna VA) has to seek title, they will charge me three thousand dollars in legal fees. How can I get this title released from NationStar?

Our Mortgage was sold from BOA to Nationstar which we figured would be a blessing. We contacted Nationstar and asked them how we go about getting off our ARM and into a fixed rate. They said “no problem, we will send out a package” for us to fill out and what forms were needed. We figured, finally some peace of mind. They sent a letter with the contact person who was handling this. I filled out all the paperwork and my husband checked it all to make sure it was correct and we sent it back. Well almost 2 years later, 5 times of sending the same paperwork back in and never once talking to ** who was our contact, we are still on a ARM.

Like with BOA it was "you're missing a form" so we would just send that form back in out of the copies we made when we sent all the paperwork in and still nothing. Nationstar, if you see this I hope somebody will email me so we can get this taken care of. We are upside down and never asked to reduce our mortgage (be nice). We are always on time with our payments. I thought was going to be so much different than dealing with BOA but so far nothing has changed.

So I want to start out from the beginning, I called in Jan. 29 to start a refinance on my home because I want to get away from my home mortgage we have now. When I called in I got a very nice man that helped me start the process and I sent over most of my information. After sending him the required documents I had some papers to e sign and lock in my rate with my co borrower. After signing the said documents I started to get emails from another lady assumed as the "Closing Coordinator" I'm ready to have it all done and over at this point knowing it's going somewhere and then she requests all the same documents I sent over the first time to the first man. I am okay with sending them seeing as I'm ready to close and move on.

Well I was told in Jan that no doubt we would be done and ready to close before April 1st due to the fact that this is for a divorce and we also had a little more than 2 months to get it done. Well I didn't hear from anyone for a couple weeks assuming due to the ice storms in Feb. and I was okay with this thinking the ball would be rolling once they got back. After they returned I got more items requested and again without hesitation I sent them. At this point I was a bit frustrated because they had requested the same documents over and over again. Well I received an email from the first man I had dealt with and he requested the same documents she "closing coordinator" had just received.

After talking to the first man he said there was miscommunication and to send everything his way and he would just forward everything and to stop dealing with her. Well after the first underwriting we got another list of items to send including 2 letter of explanations, an updated bank statement (because they had waited so long they needed a new one), more w2 (they now have 4 years worth) and all 2 more years of tax information. Also they have terrible communication skills with you. They do not keep you updated at all and every single time I had to call her she would give me something else I needed to give her and it would frustrate me because it would make me feel like she would wait forever to call me to inform me or just send me an email when I had informed her many times I don't check my email frequently seeing as I work all day.

So on March 10th I received an email stating we had been conditionally approved and basically the only thing they were waiting on was a Quitclaim Deed. So the entire week I spent trying to get my ex-husband to sign a quitclaim I thought they would be working on the finishing touches of the file. Well on that Friday I sent over the signed and notarized quitclaim and was ready to get a closing date. I hadn't heard anything all week so I thought that everything was ready to go. They then had to request an updated employment verification via phone from my boss because the written one was now past 30 days. Well here we are April 7th and we still have no closing date. They are still requesting taxes they are now 4 years back on taxes and they are wanting another updated bank statement with an updated balance.

They have also now requested without us knowing a profit loss from my co borrowers tax agent for this year. I have never had so much trouble with any loan. It was much easier buying the home than refinancing!! If i knew i wouldn't be fined for canceling the whole process I would and just go elsewhere. I was really hoping to have an easy experience and have been way more than cooperative. I don't know what else to do and am still waiting for a closing date. I would not recommend them to anyone for any reason and if anyone has any advice on what to do to speed up the process or if it's even legal for them to request so much information.

Everywhere I have been they have only requested 2 years taxes and w2s or 1099s, 2 months bank statements, note from house and quitclaim. They now have 4 years taxes, 4 years w2s, 3 months bank statements, full divorce decree, 2 letters of explanation in regards to credit inquiry and addresses, payoff quote, 12 months payment history, current demand on the home (sent 2xs), custody order (no child support is paid so I don't know why this is needed), property insurance, quitclaim deed. On top of everything else we have signed re disclosures at least 6 times because they have taken so long.

Next re disclosure that is sent I will not sign and take to my lawyer and see if there is a way out of this because I am completely over it!!! I have bent over backwards for these people and my interest rate isn't even going down. So if you had the time to read this I hope I helped you figure out to NOT use Nationstar. And I pray for everyone that is dealing with the same crap I've gotten myself in.

Though the people who have helped me are very kind, or at least putting on a good show, unfortunately most know nothing about things they should be trained to know if they are claiming to be customer service. Last year we were issued a check from them for funds that apparently they refused to put towards our late payment, because they claim unless it's a full payment it's unacceptable. The check was dated for 8/26/2014. Unfortunately, through some mishap at our post office the check was lost and we didn't receive it until March of 2015 at which point the check was worthless.

After complaining to the Post Office I immediately called Nationstar Mortgage and that is when the Merry Go Round started. First they gave me to Customer Service who I told my story to, they couldn't help me, but gave me another number. They said I needed to speak with Customer Service and the cycle continued. Finally, I was given to a woman who actually could help me or so I thought. She said she would cancel the check and we would be receiving another one in a few days.

We never got the check so I called again on March 31 and went through the same routine telling my story once more. This time the woman claimed that though it was supposed to be issued the person responsible for doing so took too long so it was canceled. So she put in another request. Still no check, so I called again today and the same thing happened. I spoke with at least four people, until I found someone to give me a straight answer. And once again I was told it was rewritten and mailed out last week. We shall see. Whatever happened to people who care, has the world become so bad that no one does.

I would like to refinance my high interest (mobile home) loan (I have great credit)-- but am also leery of doing this with them regarding this, because of all the negative reviews I have been reading. The issues revolve around lack of response from the customer service and misdirecting or not applying payments that were made, or not applying escrow payments, etc... While I understand no system is perfect, the >20% complaint rate of this company is disconcerting. Unfortunately, I am stuck because so few institutions will make loans on mobile homes, even though my property tax statements indicate the property (land value) is more than I owe on the mortgage.

The people were very nice but they just kept being: 'Oh, we need one more thing'; 'We need one more piece of information'; 'We need one more document', for a house that we lived in for 14 years and for a mortgage, for less money than we had with the company that we are already with. It was a very painful process. Finally we were able to drop the mortgage insurance, interest rate, and loan term but we kept up the same payment - so there were some benefits there. In June of 2013, I was so happy because Bank of America was going to modify my loan due to the DOJ and mortgage settlement. I just had to make the first trial payment. So I made the payment and then my loan gets transferred to Nationstar Mortgage. I tried to send Nationstar a payment to continue the 2nd and 3rd month but they refused and kept saying that they needed the modification documents from Bank of America.

Months passed and they sent me two modification that had balloon payments. I told the representative on the phone that this was not the same modification as Bank of America. I called Bank of America and they said there was no balloon payment because I qualified under the old Countrywide loan for principal reduction. They even told me to apply for an in-house modification that didn't include my wife income. Of course it would be denied for negative disposable income.

A few months later my loan goes into default and then they ask me apply for modification which I did but when I tried to send in the documents, the loss mitigation team told me that the lender was not participating in modification. They even asked me to call HUD which I did but HUD can't do anything because the lender won't accept a loan modification. I requested phone calls from July 2013-present so I can show the world how they acted -- not helping people with modification. This exact reason why most lenders were being sued. Please see mortgage debt settlement. In addition, they are selling my home for 700000 which is more than it's worth and more than I owe. So that explains why they don't want to honor or give me a modification.

My situation currently is Nationstar is wanting to foreclose and take my house due to payments not being received. The mortgage used to be owned by Bank of America and with them I had some of the same issues I am having now with Nationstar. Bank of America lost the paperwork saying I was the representative of my dad's estate and tried to foreclose. My lawyer had to send them a letter stating I was the representative of the estate and to let me make payments. I paid the payments and all was fine.

Nationstar has now taken over the mortgage and I have had no issues till now. Apparently they too have lost the paperwork saying I was the representative on the estate. Last month is when I found out that they had lost my paperwork. In January 22nd 2015 I sent in a loan modification paperwork and got nothing back or heard nothing from Nationstar. I received a letter saying they needed receipt to show property taxes were paid so I sent that in. I get another letter saying they need receipt for property taxes.

I am talking to a rep a few days ago and tell her all that has been going on and they could care less. I tell them I will sending everything in certified mail that way I know Nationstar has it. I am told no not to do that it will take longer but to fax instead. I also found out that day that my account being turned off is why I couldn't make my payments because they didn't have me as representative of estate. Talk to a rep supervisor today and now the paperwork has mysteriously appeared. My mortgage payment with Nationstar includes my homeowners insurance that Nationstar pays yearly. In 2014 after a really bad storm here in Dallas, the fence in our yard was completely knocked down. I called Nationstar to get my homeowners insurance contact information so I can file a claim. When I called our homeowners ins. (Safeco) they informed me that our insurance had been cancelled in June due to nonpayment. I told them that could not be since it is paid thru our mortgage company. After further research we found out that Nationstar called Safeco to get the payment amount and they paid timely but, since the amount they paid was not the full amount, our homeowners insurance was cancelled. Safeco says they sent notifications to both us and Nationstar but I never received anything in the mail. The amount paid by Nationstar was $1700 and what should have been paid was $2400.

Nationstar didn't even know my policy was cancelled. Once they found out, they added a very expensive insurance on my policy for the months without coverage. This has depleted my escrow and they have now increased my monthly mortgage payment. I keep calling but I cannot get anyone to help me. This has been going on since Oct of last year. I have spoken to different people in different depts. but have not been successful. I called three weeks ago and spoke to someone in the Escrow dept. they said the info was given to the Supervisor for research but I have yet to hear back from anyone. I called last week, was put on hold for 20 minutes then was disconnected. I called yesterday, was on hold for a few minutes then disconnected. I can't get anyone to help me. I do not think I should be responsible for any increase in my mortgage payment as it was their error that my policy was cancelled. I have now received a letter of foreclosure.

Former Mortgage Co. (Cenlar) transferred my account to Nationstar within the last 30 days --- with notification only from Cenlar. I was never contacted by Nationstar about my new account number, etc., nor the options offered for monthly payment (only received letter from Nationstar about sharing Personal Information). Today (3-31-15),

I called the phone number on the Personal Information Letter (888)-480-2432. I spoke to a female Rep. -- she could not speak English correctly -- I could barely understand her when conversing. After several attempts, I was able to make my payment over the phone. Then I was told there is regular charge of $14.00 - $19.00 (plus) to make my payment via telephone. With former company (Cenlar), there was not a charge to use the automated phone payment service, but Nationstar does not offer an automated phone payment service -- must speak to a live operator. I became so disgusted with this female Rep. -- I ended the call.

Then within moments, I re-call the same number above...This time, the Rep was also female but I could understand her English. This Rep was very friendly, but could not answer my question: "How can I make my mortgage payment via automated phone call without being charge this $14.00 - $19.00 fee?" She also informed, "This service is not available, but it would cost $14.00 - $19.00 (plus) to accept a payment by telephone."

Read this very carefully (Nationstar)...charging this amount of money to received mortgage payment via telephone is a "Rip-Off" to your mortgage clients!!! As stated, I have yet to received anything from Nationstar (except letter above)...congratulating me for being a new client. I do not have any written documentation stating my account number, payment options and etc. In my opinion, this multi-million dollar company (Nationstar), has very little gratitude for their clients.

With the first Rep., I asked to speak to a Supervisor -- I was told all Supervisors were busy. The automated phone payment system is the most reliable and most economical way to accept a mortgage payment...because with online payment, if you make an error, your account is frozen for 24 hours (plus). And with a direct payment from a Bank...it is a fact -- the Bank will sooner or later made an error and the mortgage payment is late and not on time -- thus the mortgage payer is penalized with a late charge and negative credit rating, etc.

Why doesn't Nationstar offer the automated service, instead of being required to speak only to a live operator -- who usually can not speak or properly pronounce the English Language correctly -- then also to be charged a fee of $14.00 - $19.00 (plus)??? I was told a Rep would contact me -- but when will this Rep contact me???? Yes, I am mad and upset!!!

My mortgage was transferred to NationStar a couple years ago. I have never been late on a payment and take my credit very seriously. This account is my first position mortgage which was opened in August of 2004. This loan is an interest only LIBOR loan. NationStar neglected to inform me in writing as required in the original note that the interest only portion of my loan was ending which resulted in a higher monthly payment. Since the only time my monthly payment had changed in the past was after an interest rate adjustment (every 6 months) I continued to pay the same amount I had been paying which was $300. Since I wasn't notified in writing of the change, I unintentionally made a short payment. I didn't even realize what had happened until I received a call from Nationstar saying that my account was past due.

After several calls into Nationstar over a period of 3 days, I demanded to speak to someone state side that could explain why my monthly payment increased. I finally spoke to a manager that took the time to look at the original note and explain that the interest only period had ended after 10 years. I immediately paid the outstanding balance and informed the person at Nationstar that I had not received any written notice of the change. This person pointed out that the correct amount was reflected on my September statement. I informed her that I had paperless billing and that all I get each month is an email notice stating that my mortgage payment is due with a link to login and view/pay the statement. Since the interest rate wasn't due to change for several months I had no reason to log in to look at the statement and made my normal payment through my bank.

NationStar made no attempt to notify me in writing of an increase in monthly payment other than to show the new amount in an online statement. According to the original note, The Note Holder will deliver or mail to me a notice of any changes in my interest rate and the amount of my monthly payment before the effective date of any change. This notice will include information required by law to be given me and also the title and telephone number of a person who will answer any question I may have regarding the notice. This certainly never happened, and I don't believe my account should reflect a late payment. Unfortunately NationStar refused to work with me regarding the issue and a late payment (30 days) is now reflected on all 3 credit reporting agencies.

We got that underway and then made the first payment on the new mortgage and I haven’t got no problems. The only thing that bothers me is that I have a really hard time when I want to contact them. Like when I tried to make my first payment, I pushed buttons till my fingers were likely to fall off before I got a human. The first time, I actually gave up. So, I called the man that got the mortgage through for me, and he couldn't help me as much as far as getting through. It's been hard since it's all automated. I get some automated voice giving me 3 or 4 options phrased in a way that I don’t know which one to choose. When I dial a number, and get somebody, they’re polite, but it just irritates me when I call and nobody answers the phone.

Nationstar also billed me for 6 months after I mailed the payment in and I got a second bill, so, I didn’t know what to do. That’s why I was so desperate to reach them. If I had to do it over, I’d go to my local bank and do it. Somewhere I can look at somebody and be able to walk up and talk to them.

My experience with Nationstar wasn't that great to be honest. They are not a good service or mortgage. I was in the real estate industry for a long time so I dealt with a lot of this stuff over the last 20 years and their customer service really sucks. And their dealings with you as far as your payments into your escrow, they're horrible. We had two houses with them and they were messing up - they were paying the wrong insurance to the wrong house. And then every year, they were jumping the amount that they had as a cushion and we were very unhappy with it. We actually refinanced both of those with them simply just to get them away from our escrow. We have enough equity in our properties that we didn't really have to pay into the escrow.

I know that there's no company that's really perfect, or that you end up being happy with over a long period of time but I wouldn't go around carrying a banner for them or telling other people they should use this company. At the same time, I also wouldn't go out and specifically bad mouth them either. It was a very unpleasant experience because we were constantly on the phone with them trying to straighten things out. We're hoping that now that we got our escrow away from them, it'll be a little bit nicer.

I was divorced in 2010 and my ex-spouse kept the home and stated she would refinance in her name only. I signed a quit claim deed, however that did not remove my rights as a co-borrower on the original mortgage, just my rights to the property. I was unaware I was still on the mortgage until I received a call from Springleaf (the original mortgage company), looking for payment. I started to investigate and found that my ex-wife actually modified the original mortgage not once, but twice while Springleaf still owned the loan. I discovered that Nationstar had then taken over the mortgage and I requested copies from Nationstar for all the paperwork with regards to both modifications.

I was sent all the paperwork with regards to the 2010 modification, only to find that my ex-wife used copies of my pay stubs, that were meant to be used for calculating child support payments and verify total income, to modify the original mortgage without my knowledge or signature.. The original amount owed was increased and I was never a part of this modification agreement. I would have NEVER agreed to this modification. The copy of the 2013 modification had my name on it as a borrower. I contacted Nationstar several times and again asked for copies of the supporting paperwork for the second modification made in 2013 and was sent a letter stating that in no uncertain terms, they did not have to provide me with the requested documentation. I have every right to see what supporting paperwork was used to modify the original mortgage, for a second time, again without my knowledge or signature.

I pulled my credit report and see that Springleaf made an inquiry in 2013, so I have the right to see all the documents involved in that loan modifications. My concern being that again my pay stubs, tax returns, etc were used to complete the second modification as they had been used for the first modification. I contacted Springleaf to get copies from them and Springleaf reported to me that ALL the paperwork was forwarded to Nationstar and I would need to contact them. Nationstar refuses to provide the documents to me. I need to know if again my pay stubs were illegally used to complete a second mortgage modification without my knowledge, or signature.

I have the right to know what the total amount owed was prior to the second modification and what amount is owed after the second modification was made. I have the right to see income verification papers, tax returns, etc.. I'm running blind, my name is on the mortgage as a borrower, the original 2005 mortgage has been modified twice without my knowledge or signature, my credit is getting hit with credit checks, my credit score is going down with all the late payments, fines, etc., I'm getting calls from collections, the balance keeps increasing as well as the amount of time to pay off the mortgage. I have begun the process of filing complaints with the Consumer Financial Protection agency and the Federal Trade Commission to try to get the copies of the supporting documentation with regards to a mortgage that I'm legally and financially liable for.

I am writing a letter to Nationstar to indicate that I refuse as a co-borrower to any and all changes that were made to the original mortgage that I signed in 2005, to any and all changes being made on the current mortgage they own and that any and all paperwork involving my mortgage be provided to me at my address in addition to the other borrower on the mortgage. I cannot see how these changes were even legal and I plan to pursue it.

I have been in the process for the Short Sale program since November of 2014. Nationstar assigned me a preferred agent in my area. We went through all the steps and then finally last week I received a letter dated March 3, 2015 that read "Congratulations! You are eligible for the Short Sale program." It further went on to add that "final approval for this program is contingent upon our review of the purchase contract". I have had a purchase contract on this house since February, so it seemed that finally my sleepless nights and carrying two mortgages plus utilities would be over. As a single mother on a teacher's salary, these past months have not been easy.

On Friday, March 27, I had my agent call Nationstar to inquire about the review of the purchase contract. He was told that my short sale had been denied because my credit score was too high. He was also told by my "dedicated" loan specialist that Nationstar had sent no such letter. I phoned Nationstar myself and after being referred to the short sale escalation department, then loss mitigation, then back to short sale... I found that no one really knows what is going on. I was told by the last individual with whom I spoke that the letter was a computer generated letter that all customers receive when applying for the program. There was no record of the letter in my file that anyone could see, if they looked. I kept having to read it to them. This so-called computer generated letter will stand up in court.

I was already in Equator, their short sale system. I had a buyer and a signed contract. Now... Nationstar in spite of their campaign to help homeowners avoid foreclosure is forcing me into foreclosure. I had just enough money to make 6 months worth of payments, which I have done since I vacated my home in November. I do not need the money Nationstar advertises they will provide families who need to relocate; I only needed assistance to sell my home that is $20,000 underwater.

I am now out of money, and based upon my phone call yesterday with a Short Sale department supervisor, who treated me like the lowest form of life I am no longer eligible in spite of the letter I received - because I am not behind on my payments, and because my credit score is "too high" - as a result of the fact that I am a responsible consumer. My credit score, by the way has dropped 200 points since February as the result of carrying two mortgages and my debt to income ratio. Yet, according to Nationstar, I am not in financial distress.

Nationstar is punishing me for not simply walking away from my former house in November when I purchased a new one. The new home was necessary for my family, and due to the fact I am a veteran I did not have to pay anything to purchase a new home. Due to the fact my old home was in such disrepair, it was more feasible to purchase a new home. I did not need assistance from Nationstar to do this as they promote in their homeowner assistance program. I felt I would be able to lease it, and in fact had a signed contract to do so, but due to my HOA's rental restrictions I could not. So I tried to sell it myself only to find the house will not sell for what I owe.

Nationstar would rather go through the expense of foreclosure than to accept the offer of what my home is currently valued at, simply because I have tried to live up to my financial obligation to them. Now that I am out of money... I know that the harassing phone calls will begin. Each time they call they will be told of the months they strung me along, had me in Equator, had a short sale specialist as well as real estate agent assigned, knew I was continuing to make payments as long as able, knew I was attempting to preserve my good credit. Every reason I was told I was no longer eligible was all in my hardship letter which got me to the point of the attached letter indicating the next step was the review and acceptance of the sales contract on the property.

I am sending the letter of eligibility to my lawyer and to local as well as national news agencies. Nationstar's so called homeowner assistance to avoid foreclosure is a lie they tell themselves to help them sleep at night I guess. I am tired of sleepless nights. My $1029.32 plus utilities, plus HOA dues will no longer be paid - I can cancel the utilities, but the HOA will now place a lien on the house... and if it forecloses, well I suppose Nationstar will have to fight that battle.

I cannot understand how anyone would think forcing a single mother, who is a veteran, and an educator into foreclosure that will only cost them money is good business. I have no more money to give. I suppose in retrospect, I should have just walked away. By now... it would only be an unpleasant memory, but my integrity was at stake. Was my integrity worth over $6000 when I am now being forced to do what I so desperately wished to avoid?

I had a previous mortgage with them (I had it with Bank of America and they sold it to Nationstar) and at one time, when we had a change in our life, Nationstar helped us get through that time and gave us some suggestions. That’s been almost 7 years ago and I’ve had great success with them ever since.

During our latest refinancing, ** the girl that helped me is the sweetest most helpful person. I had two closing people and it kind of got a little touch-and-go there because of two different people asking for the same thing. ** said, “I don’t know why they just didn’t give both loans to one person so that way they’d have all your information.” I said, I don’t know. She said, "We'll pass our notes back and forth. You don’t worry about getting it through twice."

I recently lost my job and my mortgage payment increased so I'm in the middle of refinancing. Nationstar Mortgage and I have gone back and forth since January 2015 due to my payment being late (but not more than 30 days). I had to obtain my payoff for my new lender so the lender and I contacted Nationstar to get the numbers. During my call, the customer service agent provided the information and at the end of the conversation began to question me about my March 2015 payment. Keep in mind, I had my new lender on the phone. The agent informed the third-party candidate that I was late for the month and he kindly stated that he was only concerned about over 30-day late payments. The agent then redirected the questions to me, "Why haven't you made your March payment?" It got to the point that I finally had to ask her to read the notes on my account and that I would not discuss the matter with her at that time.

I hung up after obtaining payoff for the my loan and called back and asked to speak to a manager. I asked him to go back and listen to the conversation, since it had been recorded, to see for himself how the matter could've been handled differently. I informed him that I didn't appreciate her tone and that I pay my bills regardless if they're over the 15-day grace period. I also let him know just because someone is experiencing a financial hardship that his agent shouldn't assume they're a scumbag trying to get out of paying their financial obligation.

I had some very unkind words towards the the agent and informed them that I'd never consider Nationstar Mortgage again. The manager apologized and stated he'd handle the situation and get back to me. The incident occurred Friday, March 20th, and today is Wednesday, March 25th and I've heard nothing. I requested the number/email to customer relations and he declined to give me the number and ensured he'd handle the situation. The manager I spoke with name is **. As far as I'm concerned, Nationstar will not receive any business from me or my friends going forward. All they had to do was look at my loan history to see my payment record to get an idea that I handle my affairs in a timely manner.

Hello my name is Mytchell and I'm an independent news producer. I just realized today that my mother's mortgage loan that Loanstar has been servicing, was made illegally. Currently Nationstar is servicing my mother's loan at a 50 year mortgage at 8% percent interest!! Her payments shot up in November, 2014 from $1,200 per month to $1,900 per month! What makes matters worse is that Nationstar not only knows about this illegal loan, but they aren't admitting to it and are trying to turn her 'bad' loan into a 'good' loan' by refinancing her house!! I can't believe this company!!

I don't want to escalate this complaint by making it a 'media' complaint but I won't let my mother be taken advantage of. I demand justice and for Nationstar take care of this situation ASAP and to reimburse my mother for her higher payments as of November, 2014. I don't want to make this a news story.

We did get behind three months 2011, went through chapter 13. Decided to dismiss it in June of 2014 because our Nationstar "case manager" confirmed we owed $3600 and we were all update. Finally, get to mending our credit. Get a statement from Nationstar out of the blue stating we owe $18k. They 'bullied' us by saying they were going to foreclose... which forced us back into chapter 13 to stop them. We have hired attorneys to get to the bottom of this with no success because no one at Nationstar will return the phone calls or emails.

Our statements make zero sense. The erroneous in arrears keeps going up, even though our mortgage balance is going down. And the fees... 14 'legal' fees applied just in June of 2014! Just one of many illegal stints from the upstanding Nationstar.

I have filed complaints with our state senator regarding Nationstar this morning. Next the Texas Attorney General. Nationstar has made a mess of my family's life for the last three years. We have lost credit, a lot of money in attorney fees... and no return call from this fine financial establishment called Nationstar. I know Nationstar recently hired a new attorney, I am sure she is bombarded with content customers like me... after all you have to work at a BBB rating of an "F". I didn't hear from them again until weeks later after I contacted another mortgage company. Nationstar then said that their "investors" at that time couldn't modify my loan. Besides contacting the BBB and Attorney General's office, does ANYONE have any other ideas or suggestions how I can stop Nationstar from this unsavory business practice?

Now that my disability payments are being received regularly, I've requested that Nationstar put my outstanding balance on the tail end of my mortgage (which they have refused to do). I've also asked them to lower my loan percentage from the present 9%, which has also been refused. What do you do when you want to make payments and they're not accepted? We purchased a modular home several years ago. The head of that mortgage company eventually was found guilty of some fraud types of things. The company failed and the mortgage was taken over by Cenlar. That organization sent us a letter encouraging us to refi with Nationstar. I called them and after almost completing an online app, the rep basically said that he just realized ours was a modular home and I had wasted his time.

I started looking for another company, yet we continued to get letters from Nationstar. I called and asked them to stop sending stuff since they didn't really want our business. Nothing changed. We started the refi process with another company. We got to the point where we were approved and the new company needed our payoff amount. At that point Cenlar sold our loan to Nationstar! Cenlar would no longer give us info or accept the payoff.

I tried calling Nationstar and could not get to a human being. I finally dug up some numbers in their corporate HQ and called them. I reached a ** who promised to get some action. I got a call from ** who said she was in the Pacific time zone somewhere. She gave me her number, **, and told me she would call me back when the issue was resolved. I never got a call. My wife and I both called that number and got only voicemail. I called on the Nationstar toll free and kept entering weird number combinations until I got through to a human in India. I tried several times with different people in India and got no results. They had no record of our loan!

In the meantime, the time limit on our refi lock expired. After a week, our loan info appeared in their online system but it says they need another week to process our request. I should also note that when you do get through to a human being by screwing with their phone system, you are warned that Nationstar is a debt collection company, not a mortgage company. Our credit rating is, and has been, in the very desirable range. Yet, we still have fallen into the hands of a debt collector. We are still struggling to get away from them.

Nationstar sent me a letter last year asking me to either choose Opt.#1 Modification or Opt#2 Deed in Lieu. Since I couldn't sell the house for years nor rent it out, I decided to go with Opt.#2. I filled out the paperwork and along with the Title, I mailed it to Nationstar by certified mail. Few weeks later, I received a letter from them that they cannot grant me the "Deed in Lieu" program because of an "Incomplete Request". So I thought that an explanation will follow, asking me for more information or paperwork, but I have not received anything as of today. The door locks were changed and they kept the Title, but no response at all since last December.

However, yesterday, I received a letter from Nationstar's law firm stating and I quote "We enclose for service upon you a Request to Enter Default filed by the Superior Court of New Jersey in the above matter"... What the heck does that even mean? So to sum up this nightmare... Nationstar does not respond to my letters, denied the Deed in Lieu without any real explanation, changed the door locks, and kept the Title. What they're doing is illegal!!! Nationstar bought my loan from a previous mortgage lender. I hadn't even heard of them before then. They were horrible and if I had a choice, I would have dropped them in a minute but I was too far down the road with them. I started my mortgage loan process in November of last year and my mortgage closed on February 28th. I had to hurry and get paperwork in so we could get it done. Nobody called me. Nobody did any paying with it. All of a sudden, I get a call from someone at Greenlight. I don't even know who they were. Nobody at Nationstar told me who they were and so after I started saying, "Well, who are you and what do you have to do with my loan?" They said, "Oh, sorry, we forgot to tell you that this is who does the paperwork." The first person that got assigned me there wrote me an email and said, "I'll call you tomorrow." But I never heard from him.

Then I got a call from somebody else a month later and started asking me all the same stuff that I had already done and I'm like, "Well, what happened to the other guy, and why are you calling me, and what's taking it so long to get my mortgage done?" And he said he couldn't say anything because he hadn't read my file yet which I think is retarded that you would even pick up the phone and call somebody without making yourself at least well versed in the situation. Then I tried to called ** who was the person that originally was working with me at Nationstar because I was ahead on my mortgage payments and I'm like, "Can anybody tell me what's going on with my process so I know whether to make the mortgage payment or not?"

So consequently when I finally ended up closing I was not a mortgage payment ahead which is where I could have enjoy being but rather right on time. The whole thing sucked. There were mistakes in my paperwork where they kept saying that I was going to pay whatever for. I had to go back and say, "No, you're going to pay for it. That's what you told me that you were going to." "Oh, yeah, we'll pay for it. Don't worry about a thing." And considering the way everything else got handled I was really worried that I was going to end up paying for that. So the communication was horrible. And then to try to meet the deadline, I actually had to make the notary on an evening when I was not available and has to make her come to a restaurant I was at because that was necessary to get me to close without me having to make a mortgage payment for Nationstar or Greenlight, or whoever they are to review all my paperwork.

What's really sad is when I tried to find somebody of authority whatsoever, it was impossible. I never even heard from the ** girl again. They never even had the common courtesy to call me back. The guys at Greenlight they were like, "Well, you know, we understand you're frustrated but let's just get it done." I'm in the service industry and have managed people for a long time and the best thing about the company is that if people wanted to find me, to ** me out about their experience with what my employees did, they could always find me. I couldn't do that with Nationstar. I couldn't go and be like, "Hey, you know what? You're right. We mishandled the situation and here's what were going to do for you since you've been such a good client of ours." Nothing and nobody to talk to. I was like, "Who runs the refi department?" They don't know.

How do you not know the answer to a question like that? It's impossible to actually put my complaints anywhere except with the guys that were doing the underwriting or their paperwork for my loan. And to this day, I still have no idea why that was my experience. Nobody could tell me anything. I think somebody completely dropped the ball on me, and nobody wanted to take responsibility for it. So I think it should be easier to find people of authority if you're looking to file a complaint at Nationstar Mortgage but you can't do that because nobody knows anything.

I would not recommend them to anybody. If I think about refinancing my house any time again in the future, I probably would not use Nationstar for the way they handled me. And truthfully, I don't even understand what took four months to get it done considering I have been a Nationstar consumer for years before I decided to refi my house and come out of an in script only and put myself into something that was locked up.

For 4-5 times I'd applied for the HAMP and every time there is an excuse as of why they don't want to approve the modification. For every excuse, I'd attempt to fix whatever they want, so I can keep the home. For the last application I felt confident that finally I was able to get back in track and put all this stressful times behind and move forward. But once again Nationstar, looking to make a quick buck via foreclosure or dragging their foot meanwhile adding lawyer fees, denied me without an explanation. I'd given them everything they have ask for. When the stress that this whole situation is causing on me is unbearable and affecting my military career as well.

While pulling up my year-end statement for my taxes, I noticed there was an past due charge of $22.50 on my account. I then proceeded to investigate where this charge came from as I never pay my mortgage late. In fact, I often pay it early. The charge did not appear on my October 2014 statement but appeared on my November 2014 statement as "past due." Since I do not get paper statements in the mail, I was unaware that it was even on my account. My October payment matched the amount on my October statement. My mortgage payment did go up in November, which I paid the new amount minus the $22.50 and since I was not late making any payments I was completely clueless as to why this charge appeared on my account.

So I proceeded to call customer service. After some investigating she said that there was a escrow shortage which should've been paid in October. So my next question was, "Then why wasn't I billed for it in October?" She didn't have an answer. I paid my statement balance. She said, "Since there was a shortage in 'payment' they took the payment out of escrow to make my payment compensate for the shortage so the money is to pay back escrow." She then transferred me to the escrow department who pretty much told me the same thing but still lies the question: I paid my statement amount in October so how can my payment be short $22.50? Nobody seem to have an answer for me. When reviewing my transaction history, nowhere does it indicate that my October payment was short. I was then transferred back to customer service, and over an hour after I placed my call, was told they would issue an investigation and I would be contacted and 5 to 7 business days.

I was a Bank of America mortgage holder for five years (whom I loved and never had problem one!) before they sold it to Nationstar who has had it for about two years now.

This is my second incident with Nationstar, the first being right after they took over my account. I was told by Bank of America that my payment would remain the same. However, my first Nationstar bill showed a higher payment. I questioned them then and was told, "That's the amount we received from Bank of America." Without proof, I had no choice but to pay the higher amount. I'm completely dissatisfied with not only the runaround that I got yesterday but their billing practices, first with the higher payment initially and now this "past due amount." How can they say that I'm past due $22.50 when I was never billed for it in the first place?

I know failing to review my statements between November and now is my fault but I still would have questioned the billing in November had I been aware of the situation.

Updated on May 3, 2015: On March 19, I posted a review. A week later I received a generic response that "someone was looking into it and would get back to me in 5-7 business days." Nearly a month went by before I heard anything from them. When I did get a phone call to discuss my issue, I was told again that their investigation department would look into it and get back to me in 5-7 business days. This was in mid-April. Now that we are in the beginning of May, I'd like to know what Nationstar considers 5-7 business days. I doubt they have any desire to resolve my issue. I seriously wish I had the funds to refinance somewhere else. I would love to go back to Bank of America!!!

I feel that the offer that I had with Nationstar was reasonable and fit well with the market. I was already a current customer and just refinanced with them. Being able to avoid a long laborious process, the appraisal and all that stuff was nice. One of the really big things was that we had a strict deadline because my wife was leaving to go out of the country and we needed to expedite it to within a couple of weeks and the loan officer was able to do so. The whole thing was fine and I would recommend them.

I own a home with my mom. She is on the mortgage and I'm only on the title. I have had the worst time trying to get a repayment plan setup. I had to take FMLA to care for my ill mother. In May, my mom was in a car accident that left her with over 10 broken bones and in a fight for her life. When she needed to buy a new car, she reached out to Nationstar and they said she could skip the next month's mortgage payment and repay it over the next six months by paying an additional amount each month. When it came time to make the new payment, the account hadn't been updated. We called and they said they would fix it and to try again the next day. It went on like this for weeks. Well, since then my mom, who has been battling kidney and heart failure, caught that nasty super bug CRE. She has been in the hospital since January and now she has lost her hearing and has severe speech problems. I had to take a non-paid leave to care for her.

I just returned to work and they sent a letter saying we are two months behind and we have 35 days to pay them the past due amount or they will call the loan in full. We don't even have an assigned dedicated loan specialist! WTF?!? I was forced to bring a laptop to the hospital and help my mom fill out an electronic application for a modification. We don't want a modification. We want a repayment plan. I'm back at work. So frustrated at the process, the lies, and complete disregard for the law. This has been a nightmare. Two months past due and still making monthly payments and the bank wants to take our home that we spent over 100k on. Welcome to America and Nationstar.

I was calling for over a week and couldn't get through to Nationstar. They had billed me about $2000.00 and I just was move to them 60 days. After they finally contacted me they said I owed 0 balance and that bill was because they had not received payment from other mortgage company.

    Original Review: March 16, 2015

I received a bill from Nationstar only after being with them from 30 days after other mortgage sold my acct. They NEVER answer phone and you're not able to get through to them. When you ask for call back an automated system calls back and says their phone tree is unavailable. Called for 4 days straight. No luck. Received a bill only after 30 day with them and it says I owe 1200.00 dollars more than my mortgage and doesn't explain why. Can't get a hold of them and the bill says pay by 3/17. I received this 3/14. I called old mortgage and they said they have no idea why I'm being charged. I have no old debt.

I was so happy with my old company and so unhappy with Nationstar. They are the worst and I was told this by a few people at an escrow office. I read reviews online while trying to find an email address and that scares me even more that they have some of the worst reviews. I would pay extra to have a new reputable mortgage company. Nationstar should not be in business the way they run it. I want to know what this 1200.00 Bill is but can't get anyone to help me. I am now trying to send certified letter to get communication from them.

My relationship with Nationstar right now is hot and cold. Hot being not so pleased and cold being okay. My loan with Bank of America was absorbed into Nationstar. I called them about refinancing my mortgage because of the letters that I got. I got one letter that I ignored and then a girl called me last year to talk about it and she was gonna do all this stuff. And then I get a phone call back from her saying, "Well we can't charge points in North Carolina so we can't do this deal and it's not in your best interest anyway." And she dragged her feet and everything. The rates went up and then it became not feasible to do it.

The second experience came off of a letter that I received saying that they could refinance the property and save me some money so I acted on that letter. I didn't wait, I made a phone call and I got a guy by the name of ** who just blew me off. I don't know what he figured out but he just got to where he would not return my phone calls and then quite frankly we'd come down to the time to close on this loan and they'd come back with the big payoff number that wasn't accurate and I didn't close the loan. They had pulled the payoff statement from Nationstar for the loan account and were asking me for $8000 to pay off somebody else's loan to get mine refinanced. That obviously didn't fly and I'm the one that discovered that they had the underwriter or the closing coordinator (**) with Greenlight, had pulled the wrong payoff statement from the loan.

So I started pursuing things with Quicken Loans and Wells Fargo and then I got another letter in the mail from Nationstar. So I called a second time, got a different guy named ** and his closing coordinator was **. Long story short, we finally got the deal done. We closed back in February but for someone to make an error as large as pulling a wrong payoff statement, then putting that into a HUD-1 statement and sending that to me and telling me that I'm gonna have to pay another $8000 to close my loan when they've made that kind of error, that's bad on the part of Nationstar to allow those kind of things to happen and do nothing about it.

The loan originator ** would not return the phone call. I called him when we're trying to work things out, he would not return the phone call. So I'm a little pissed about all of that. ** took the bull by the horns and he got some stuff done and I don't have any complaints with him. ** was great to work with as closing coordinator with Nationstar. He didn't mention Greenlight Loans in this. But they were really good to work with and got the job done for me without those type of grievous errors.

My refinance went okay at the beginning. I knew there'd be some cost but the guy who called me said it would only be about $200. I didn't think it would be right paying that cheap. I asked him, "What is the catch?" and he said, "There's no catch. This is the only closing cost." I asked him ten times if he was sure and he said yes. So I went with it but I wasn't happy at all when it ended up being $2100. But it's done and over with.

To me personally, Nationstar was a little slow. The processing took a lot longer than I anticipated. The person that we initially talked to, I guess you would call him the "marketing person", took our initial application, looked things over, and explained the different possibilities to us. I got the impression that because we were an existing Nationstar customer, the process would be faster and that approval or closing would occur early in January. As it turned out, once it was handed over to the closer, it didn't go that fast. And it took well into January for the closing to occur.

We started all this back in late December and it was immediately after Christmas that it was turned over to the closer. And from the perspective of the closer, it normally took this long. It took as long as it did. In fact, they had to expedite it to get it done by the end of January, before the next payment was due on our existing loan.

At first they indicated that they would try, but there was no assurance that it would get done in what I considered a speedier manner. I just thought it seemed to me that us being existing Nationstar customers was irrelevant. It didn't have any effect on it at all. The process just took its normal course regardless of whether we were an existing customer or not. The bottom line is it got done by the time it needed to be done. So, it got done. My spouse was actually 100% satisfied, no problem at all. I'd still recommend them. Nationstar did a satisfactory job. It went slower than I anticipated, but apparently, I was just confused and misinterpreted what they said.

After 2.5 months of collecting documentation and waiting to pay the closing cost, I was told that they wouldn't be able to close on it due to North Carolina laws that their underwriter was not allowing to go to closing.

They wasted 2.5 months of my life that I can't get back and have nothing to show for it. That process took 10 months. Several phone calls and a lot of frustration and then they sent the payment bill to the wrong address and fined me for being late.

This year I switched insurance companies. Unfortunately Nationstar paid both insurance companies. As soon as I received the refund, I sent it back to Nationstar for the Escrow balance. They noted receipt of the funds, but increased my payment as if I still had an Escrow shortfall. I submitted a ticket, got a response that they received the funds again, and did not change the payment. I submitted another request and here I am 8 days later with no response from Nationstar.
