Victor ** helped me get my refinance. With not much time to do it in, he went to bat and did a tremendous load of paperwork for me and secured the refinance, all with patience and courtesy that today is just rare. I recommend Victor ** if you are looking for professionalism while dealing with refinancing your home.

Title company could not get their end of the refinance right. Met with notary for closing on 3 different occasions and paperwork was wrong each time. It was finally corrected because we submitted to them the correct information that was filed at the courthouse. Still had to pay title fees!!! Nationstar representative was very rude and not helpful in correcting the paperwork. Always blaming "title people" but not offering help. Nobody proofread the documents before sending to the notary or they would have seen the errors. Would NEVER recommend this company.

The two people that I worked with, Jesus ** and David ** worked way beyond my expectations. Issues were quickly resolved and Jesus communicated with me every step of the way. I would recommend both to anyone that is interested in buying a home or refinancing.

After the initial contact, it was very difficult to speak to anyone by phone. Phone calls were not returned and the entire process took almost 3 months to complete. The final paperwork still has errors and no one has returned my calls about getting it fixed.

GREAT, WONDERFUL is all I can say about my refinancing with Nationstar. It all started with my first call and I was transferred to Carlo ** and he made it so easy and understandable and I was able to do everything by E-mail or faxing. And if I had any questions he was always available to answer them. When the application was all completed, then Kimberly ** got involved with the loan processing and she also was very efficient and helpful, and they both kept me informed through the process. Also the closing agent Rick ** was terrific and professional. All in all everything was done quickly from the start to finish. My only regret, I should have refinance sooner. Thanks to each of you.

I had an experience a year ago with Nationstar where I had refinanced but I cancelled. The guy that was working with me then seemed like he'd rather lie to me than tell the truth because the truth sounded better. However, this time everything went smoothly and they were upfront with me. Overall, it was good, quick, and an easy experience with Nationstar.

Nationstar contacted me and it was surprisingly awesome. They were straightforward and did what they said they were going to do. Shawn ** is my mortgage officer contact person who offered me a loan to refinance my residence. Shawn is a first class professional. He is a Very good listener, untiring to pay attention to all my needs. In the end with a bit of delay by the HELOC LENDER TO COMPLETE SENDING IN SUBORDINATION, WHICH WAS BEYOND SHAWN AND/or my control. The final processing came through. However, Shawn and Jeff ** have both been my loan processing officers on a previous loan. I am extremely happy with Greenlight Loans and Nationstar services. I talk with at least three individuals, all female, who all provided me with excellent, caring services, answered all questions. I got three names Kanika, Virginia, and Caitlin ** with whom I talked. Spent the most time with Caitlin who was patient, competent and provided very caring service which made me feel valued. It was very hard for me to call and ask for help with my mortgage due to current financial hardship. So give those three women a pat on the back for providing me with excellent service.

The original loan officers made it sound like a slam dunk and no problem at all. Then the underwriter kept asking for more and more information doubting if I actually lived in the home even though I have lived here for 10 years. Closing cost are OUTRAGEOUS! Original loan officer sounded professional and then I was passed off to someone that seemed like it was their first day on the Job. A bait and switch of loan officers so to speak.

I kept getting information from Nationstar about refinancing so I decided to follow up. The very first person that I spoke with was extremely nice. He was helpful and patient, and he also explained things. But, the last person I talked to was arrogant and rude. The day we were supposed to do the actual transaction, I wanted to see about putting it off until the next day because of something that was happening. That time, we've done all the paperwork and it was set for that day. I, however, had to go ahead and let them come, which made me late for my appointment because I had to change the time. I also tried to call them to make sure that they have already arranged to do an automatic deduction when the new loan amount is supposed to start next month, and that everything was set. But, everybody I talked to can't seem to understand my concern and it was horrible.

My mom passed away two years ago and my dad is on a limited income. We kept getting notices all the time from Nationstar saying how it easy it is to refinance. My husband and I thought to go ahead with it. They were absolutely fantastic. The refi cost us hardly anything. There was no verification of income. Anyway, my husband owns a mortgage company and he gave Nationstar his two thumbs up so they must've been pretty good.

I was looking to pay off my mortgage as soon as I can within the next six years, that's why I decided to refinance with Nationstar. Refinancing was very smooth, and I didn't have any problem. With this company, I'm sure the mortgage is going to be paid off a lot faster. My first payment is also not due until September 1st. I'm recommending it.

For the second month in a row I have had great difficulty paying online. Once again today I tried unsuccessfully to make a mortgage payment just like last month. Both times I tried many, many times throughout several days. Now I have to wait until Monday to get help and like last month it will probably be a customer service rep that can't understand English and I'll be repeating everything over and over again. This Nationstar website sucks and there's no excuse for it.

We were in the process of selling our house when Nationstar bought our mortgage from Cenlar. We went ahead with the refinancing and the guy that initiated it went over four different options, and we went with lowering the monthly payments. They were good.

Kenneth ** promised a discount on my refinance provided I returns paperwork on time, of which he didn't do. Your company also sent misleading information promising discount for refinancing which was misleading advertising. I called a member of management to whom promised follow up and he never did. Your company has serious management issues and deceptively misleads your customers.

Underwriting kept coming back with requests for copies. I sent everything they requested at application time. It was ridiculous. Same employer for years. The new mortgage payment was a little over one-half of my prior mortgage amount with Nationstar. Never late. It took months...literally. I would be hard-pressed to recommend them.

I refinanced with Nationstar because I was in an adjustable rate and needed a fixed rate. However, I was not happy with the guidance I got during refinancing because the rate was higher than what I originally had. But other than that, the experience was good.

3 years ago I tried to get this company to lower my payments due to my husband being terminally ill. His name was not even on my Mortgage and they put me through so much crap and then denied it. My husband died and I tried again to lower my payment and was refused again. All they wanted to do is refi and save me 50.00 a month. Well I did refi but not with them and I'm saving 300.00 a month. I have never been so glad to be away from these crooks.

I've contacted customer service numerous times and finally Adrian from customer service department calls me back. She assures me since the loan has been paid off in full that I should get the cancellation of the deed by email at the end of the day. It's been two days - I've called twice and unfortunately I have not got the results or any other calls back. The service started out great but since then seems to tailed off. I cannot sell my house without this cancellation of the deed and I've already extended closing once. Please help.

It seemed that no one knew what the other department was doing? Very hard to understand agents. Response time slow or hardly ever returned my messages. Loan process very slow. Agents all seemed to be disinterested. Trying to contact agents for help was very difficult. Getting satisfaction of any sort seemed impossible. Tried to contact managers of a department was also difficult or impossible. All in all very dissatisfied. I would not recommend Nationstar.

Mortgage professionals were good during my financing. When I first switched to Nationstar, however, it was horrible as people from your call center couldn't answer questions. They also had the nerve to tell me that the interest never varies on a loan - if I pay earlier and pay extras, it does! The call center and my pre-refi was horrible, but my refi-on was good.

I would not give the experience a 5 because I think it took too long for it to close. I do give all of the people that we interacted with high marks because they were courteous and extended themselves to answer questions. This includes the closing agent who was very thorough and knowledgeable.

I received a letter to refinance the house. I was with Nationstar and like the company so I called in to see what could be done. Carlo ** was very helpful. It take two months but we refinance with Greenlight Loans. Sign all paperwork but have not received anything about where to send payment or setup auto-pay at this time but I know I will soon. I just like to say again how much I like Carlo with his help. He always give me info on the day to day work of the paperwork.

The mortgage guys were wonderful. I told Nationstar guy who called that I have never had any luck with refinancing and that nobody could save me any money. The representative then worked through it and found me a way not save instant money, but money over time. I would recommend them.

Refinanced our mortgage. Process was straightforward and quick. I provided all the documentation required and completed the process in less than one month. Closing was at our home and when we wanted it. All the documents were e-mailed to us and we scanned the papers back to the bank. Any phone communication was promptly answered by the bank.

Overall, I am pleased with the service I received. The only problem was that not all information was requested at one time. I would send in information, then later more was requested, at least four times. All the delaying the processing of my paperwork, I felt this was unfair to me, plus time consuming on your part. I have been with Nationstar for several years. Always thought I had good credit. Never been late on payments. Before the loan was complete, I was thinking my credit was not good. I had a 748 credit score.

When I started the refi I was told that the loan would only cost me a total of $4785.00. I ended up paying much more than that. I see that the interest rate are now lower than the interest rate I received on my loan? You would think that A long time customer would be given the better rates so to keep them happy and a customer for a longer time. Overall I am happy with Nationstar.

I feel obligated to respond on this media because somehow this company has 4/5 stars. On Yelp the rating is a solid 1/5, which is clearly what this company deserves. My loan was sold to Nationstar December of 2012 and was immediately disappointed in every aspect of the way this company does business. I made calls to attempt to correct mistakes and other small issues with the initial transfer but every item was an uphill battle. All the issues I had were eventually corrected or removed only after extreme amounts of frustration and disappointment. I have since completed a streamline refinancing using my veteran status, and I am happy enough to stay with Nationstar for the time being. I would NEVER have chosen to use this company initially and would suggest others to go with someone else.

I called Nationstar regarding an offer I received in the mail. A few minutes later I was looking for documents in order to refinance my home and save me money. The best part is that Adam was able to find an offer that I wanted and he did not "sell" me something I didn't need or that could of hurt me financially. The process took way too long, My employer was contacted over 50 times!! My loan had to be started over after 2 months. Poor communication all around!! Even going into closing, was never given instructions on who to make money order out to. Had to buy money order, then cancel it... then pay for a wire after the closing agent informed me... super disappointed! Also closing costs were more than I was told.

There was a problem due to an incorrect designation on the warranty Deed caused by a previous refinancing many years ago. My loan got sold out to Nationstar so when I want to refinance, I called them and they did a HARP loan for me to lower my payments. Their mortgage professionals were fantastic, some of the better ones I've ever dealt with. They were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I gave them the requirements and they closed the loan in 14 days.

A representative from Nationstar accused me of fraud, saying that I didn't have mortgage insurance. I told him that I had homeowners insurance through the Auto Club. I told him it was homeowners insurance. He became threatening. It was upsetting. He was confusing me, because we had insurance and I didn't understand which property - I carried different homeowners insurances on two different properties. He was upset/angry and I was totally confused.
When I told my husband how he threatened me - saying I was fraudulent, my husband called him back and straightened out everything, he said that he had been confused, due to the Auto Club carried our homeowners insurance. He apologized, still, I feel his threatening call disturbing. I wish that he would have called back later after I had told him that he was confused and that he was confusing me - perhaps, that was why he became angry with me. We were both having a bad (crazy) day.

We inquired about refinancing our old mortgage to get cheaper interest rate. So far, we've had no problem with Nationstar except for the woman we first dealt with over the phone. She sent us everything to do the application online which is 65 pages. She was ditzy and it seems that she had more than she could handle in her job. Every time I would talk to her about something she would start saying, "Okay", and then she'd say, "Why don't I have your account up." And then she'd say, "Oh, okay." Then, she'd go on and say something else and tried to tell me one thing about something and I said, "that's not me." And she goes, "Yes, it is." When I insisted that it's not me, she told me that she had the wrong person's account pull up. That's understandable but every time after that it was always like that.
Then, one time when we were all done refinancing, a person came here and we had to sign some paperwork. She's going to give it to Nationstar and we'd be done. However, all of a sudden, that woman called us again and said that since we put money down on our account now, she had to redo our paperwork and resign stuff. I told her no, but she insisted that we had sent in $743. When I told her again that I did not, she got cocky with us and yelled at us, "Yes, you did." Then, I told her not to tell me what I did and did not do because if I wrote a check to somebody, I would know that. It ended up they found out it was a money order and I told them that I never write a money order - because I always send a check.
I told them to find out who sent that in because they have posted it on the wrong account. Somebody has made a payment and that poor person didn't get their payment named. So we went back and forth with her on that and she said that we have to call customer service because she can't help us with that. So we called customer service and they're the ones who had to do the research. Then afterwards, she was nice and told us since she didn't take payments so she wouldn't know that. So we weren't real pleased with her and glad we were done with her.

My wife and I secured a mortgage with Nationstar approx. 3 years ago & set up an auto-payment from our bank. While seeking a 2nd mortgage, we were told that Nationstar had "dinged" our credit which had a material and adverse effect on the new mortgage rate. 1 email and 8 (really, 8) phone calls and 3 weeks later, it turns out that we, in fact, were late - $70.00 - due to an increase in escrow holding.
We've rectified the auto-payment to reflect the new mortgage amount. Were we in error? Sure. But good business would suggest that someone work with us (3 years, no late payments, stellar credit) rather than send us into a labyrinth of non-responsive customer service reps. No word on whether they are willing to give us a "gimme" on the $70.00 35 days late payment. Seeking another mortgage provider. Bad customer service doesn't pay.

My mortgage was transferred to Nationstar after a few years of servicing by Ocwen (after picking up my GMAC mortgage when they went out of business). In general, Nationstar is a breath of fresh air after dealing with those two previous companies. All customer service people I dealt with during the initial transition were incredibly polite and helpful (and not in an offshored call center - bonus!). Also, their online capabilities for both managing my mortgage and the refi process are smooth, informative, and easy to navigate.
The refinancing process was so incredibly simple and easy! I worked with Jay **, who was fantastic, and figured out how to make my refinance work even though I was counting down to my wedding smack in the middle of the paperwork timeline. You'd think trying to do all this at once is crazy and stressful, but it was such a breeze! Part of me is sorry I waited so long to refinance, because I'm sure I could've saved a ton of money in previous years, but ultimately I'm so happy to give Nationstar and Greenlight my business that it really worked out ideally. They have a customer for life!

I still don't believe it happened. At the beginning of May of this year, David ** called me, introduced himself and asked if I owned property and if I needed help with refinancing. I initially hesitated since I knew I could not borrow any money and I was in debt. Since I had been consistently making payments for 10 yrs (and none of them late), he suggested that by him helping, it would reduce my monthly income by two hundred dollars and that the life of the loan would not change. I finally decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did it with Greenlight Loans. He told me it would take 6 weeks for the whole process.
I found myself working with two highly professional and easy going people to work with (David ** and Justin **). They were always there and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. It only took several weeks - we signed loan documents and the loan was funded by June 13th, six weeks after the process had started. David ** had made good on all his promises. My first payment is scheduled to be August 1st and I will be saving $262/month. Thank you very much. It has been a great experience and you guys are awesome!

I requested the refinancing of my current NationStar mortgage that we have had for ten years. My preliminary work with Errol ** cleared the way for the application process to begin. He was terrific, informing me of the possibilities and working with very preliminary numbers. Then the process went sour. The loan was passed off to Greenlight Loans. On June 11th I received an email that the loan was approved and five items needed to be provided. I quickly collected the requested data and sent them to GL. Repeated requests followed, three times asking me to clarify ownership of another address that is not mine. They asked me why we were collecting rent on a home we live in, all the while having the appraisal they ordered in front of them defining the legal mother-in-law apartment.
I addressed this twice, once providing the legal registering of the apartment. The repetitive calls, requests for minute details, and other interactions prompted me to ask if they really wanted this loan. I began feeling like a suspect and not a long time customer. One month later the process completed and the loan closed. I am happy with the 3.99% interest, but frankly my research in the beginning revealed that was available from a variety of mortgage sources. Greenlight needs very prompt and serious attention invested in their customer service and the approval process.

I got my loan, and it took less than 45 days. However, the communication from start to finish was lacking. Sometimes took 4-5 days to get an email or call back. One time it was 11 days! Plus, when it came time to close our cash back was almost $2000 less than we were told. With no reason at all given. No communication. I wouldn't use them again just to save some frustration.

I spoke to Cheryl today and wanted to check about refinancing. I was unable to talk about our mortgage because my name is not on the mortgage. I understand that. I asked Cheryl if I could talk to a Mortgage officer about some general refinance and Mortgage questions, not referring to our mortgage.. She put me on hold and came back on the line to tell me no one would talk to me about a mortgage, not even general question. I was shocked! What company will not engage with a customer that is interested on buying their product. We have a home equity with a different company and I will call them and ask them the questions I need answered.

I think the process took far too long, Feb 5 to mid-July 2015. I was asked to provide the same multiple pages of material several times. I was not contacted within 24 hours of my responses several times. People were terminated from your company who worked with me during the process. I am grateful to have the process complete.

I could write a book because it took 2 years of legal fighting to get them to behave and still I was hurt by legal fees, credit rating and other fees. I was laid off my job. I called them and asked if I could skip a month payment and make 2 the next month. The Nationstar rep said yes. I sent in the 2 payments and they sent it back saying they are going to foreclose! WHAT!?!?! I been in the house for 10 years. I went through layers of supervisors and they said the rep had no right to do that payment plan with me and the higher up I went, the more rude and brutal they were. Then they started the harassing calls and threats. Finally after 2 years they settled. I still have the house but it was a kick in the gut! This company is pure evil!

Everything was great except that I needed my processor (I think) to contact me more but she still was great. I am pleased very with Nationstar as my home lender. Thanks so much for a easy process. I would recommend you all to anyone else who needs your services.

The refinancing process took three months. I sent numerous emails requesting updates that went without response. I was told multiple closing dates that came and passed. The cash out portion was not funded for ten days after the closing being told it would be wired. I began to think I had been scammed.

I refinanced through Victor ** at Greenlight. The entire process went very smoothly from beginning to end and was very quick. I ended up saving over $200 a month. I would recommend Victor and Greenlight to anyone.

Nationstar Mortgage was an absolute pleasure to work with on my re-finance. The team of Ahmad ** (Sales) and Keyta ** (Processor), were outstanding. I told them both I will see them in 6 years when I want to take my 30 year to a 15 year!

The people we dealt with at Nationstar during our refinancing were professional, and they didn't lie. They helped me figure out a better refinancing option that didn't have a penalty. I like that signing all the paperwork was done electronically, that the closing was quick, and that they changed an agent when we had an issue with one. Overall, we never had any problem with them, and we now have lower payment.

The entire experience with Nationstar was exceptional. My primary contact was Kevin **. He was professional, knowledgeable, available, and friendly. I was able to reach him by phone, email, or fax. Most times he answered the phone immediately. If he was not able to answer, he returned my call promptly. I would, and have, recommended Nationstar to everyone. My whole process, from start to finish, took less than 3 weeks. That could never happen without Nationstar being efficient and responsive. Kudos to ** and Nationstar Mortgage!!!!!

They gave me very good guidance on the options that I can take for refinancing. It was very clear, easy to understand and very simple. They were also very good in following up and keeping me informed in the process. I got several emails and many phone calls making sure that I knew where things were and what was going on. Nationstar lowered my payment which is nice and the fact that I recouped the cost of the loan in a short amount of time. And I've had very positive experiences with all the people that were involved.

He was MOST helpful in fielding all my questions and helping me to secure a new Nationstar refinance on my rental property. I am very satisfied with the entire process and would recommend this company to anyone who is looking for refinancing options. I now have 3 Nationstar mortgages.

My mortgage was sold to Nationstar from Chase. I was upset because I'd never heard of Nationstar & absolutely loved Chase. The biggest turnoff was calling Nationstar & talking to someone in a 3rd world country with broken English. At least when I spoke to customer service agents from Chase they were in this country. My mortgage is due on the 1st & after the 15th it's considered late. Nationstar has the nerve to start placing collection calls to me on the 11th of every month. Talk about being highly insulted & offended.
The Nationstar employee had such bad English I could hardly understand what they were saying. I sent Nationstar a cease & desist e-mail last week. I've yet to hear back from them. Talk about a straight up ghetto & low budget company. If you want to pay your mortgage on their website after the 10th of the month they have the nerve to charge you a $9.95 service fee. Talk about price gouging! My payment is through bill pay from my bank. I have sent an e-mail about the fee to the consumer financial protection bureau & to my state attorney general's office.
My biggest complaint is about Nationstar's piss poor customer service. They give new meaning to the phrase! I really wish there was a rating of less than zero because Nationstar sure deserves it! Twice I have called & asked to speak with a customer service supervisor or a supervisor in the escrow department only to be transferred & got a recording that says "your call can't be completed. Please hang up, call back". Now I've already sat on hold for at least 10 to 15 minutes (I think they do this to discourage you hoping you'll hang up) only to have to call back. I JUST DON'T LIKE NATIONSTAR.

Going from 20 years left to dropping down to 15 made more sense, so this led us to inquire about refinancing our old mortgage. Everything went fine with Nationstar until I made a payment that wasn't applied. I was then supposed to be refunded a check for $1,488, but I got a check for $148 instead. The customer service girl didn't understand anything I was saying, I’m assuming she must be overseas, so there's $1,400 out there in limbo somewhere and nobody seems to know where it's at. But everybody was good. Jonathan, who originally started the refinance process, always calls me back.

Our documents were signed on 06/20/15. We were told by Sally ** from Greenlight that we should have the check no later than 07/03; if we did not have the check then we should call her. We left a message for her on 07/06 and emailed and left a message with her on 07/08. We both also took time to call her at multiple intervals through the day to see if we would get her on the line (it always went to voicemail). Left a message for her manager, Tanner ** multiple times through the week. We still have not heard from them as of today. I decided that I would call Nationstar on 07/10 to get a status on the check and see what I could find out. I was transferred to escrow; this is excess cash to close, so I was sent to the wrong department. Then I was transferred back to customer service and then to Greenlight loans & spoke to Zac.
I informed Zac that we had left multiple messages on multiple people's phones; he could not find our loan information, told me that this wasn't his work and that people were in line, and hung up the phone. I then searched and found the consumer affairs hotline & left a message regarding the issue. Monday evening 07/13 I received a call from Erica. She informed me that she saw that the check had not been cashed, confirmed my address, and told me to expect a check via fedex within about 4 days (now I am relieved that someone communicated). Friday, 07/17, we receive a check via 2-day fedex and believe this is resolved. Saturday, I deposit the check in my account. Monday, 07/20 we receive another check. I look at our account, and the money deposited Saturday is not listed. I left another message with Erica in Consumer Affairs today. I want confirmation that the new check is the correct one.
1. Why hasn't Sally ** or Tanner ** responded to multiple voicemails or emails?2. Why is it that I have to speak to one of them or to consumer affairs about my account? Why can't I access this online or have 1 point of contact that has access to my information and is willing to return communication in a reasonable amount of time, or pick up the phone?
3. Why would my check from 06/20 be located and sent out 2 day fedex while another check is being reissued?
There were misspellings in the emails. We have not received communication (except from consumer affairs). I am really disappointed in this process.
