I called Nationstar and spoke with Quynh ** and Ton ** who was very informative, explained in detail my options and answered all questions. They both followed up on a weekly basis throughout the process. The electronic signature process save a lot of time and was seamless. During the refinancing, there was some confusion, mostly pertaining to the closing. I got a call saying the closing was going to happen at a given time but it didn't happen. I got a call back saying they can't do it that day and they can on a given day. That that never happened, too. However, I was pleased overall because I've gone down this refinancing road before and I always got to a point where what I was originally told wasn't going to be the case. I was a little skeptical when the young lady who dealt with me first informed me that it wasn't Nationstar who did it and they meant everything this time. And it was true. There wasn't any issue with the process other than the very end. I would recommend Nationstar to a friend.

I went through the Make-My-Home-Affordable through SunTrust and they sold my mortgage to Nationstar. Toward the end of that home program, I wanted to lock in the rate so I stayed with Nationstar and refinanced with them. The benefit of refinancing loan with them is that I have a fixed rate now - locked in at a rate where it was acceptable and it was less than my next year's rate. Before, it was the whole program, a 5-year fixed rate but every year it goes up a percentage. Nationstar professionals were great. The gentleman on the phone was knowledgeable, answered all my questions. He started the whole process for me and everything went quickly and smoothly. I'd recommend them to others.

I've always had good luck with them. I was hoping I'd get a little bit better interest rate but I didn't. And afterwards I saw where other places had a lot better rates. But it was already too late, I had already signed. I'm not disappointed at all except for the interest rate. They were good to me on the phone, cooperative, and I didn’t have any problems with them.

Nationstar took over my loan and I started getting multiple emails about refinancing opportunities, so I went with them. Their mortgage professionals were great and I had very good guidance when discussing about my refinancing options. My monthly payment was reduced about $150 since I refinanced, but the only issue was that I thought my mortgage rate would have been a little lower since I have excellent credit, but I was slightly underwater on my home value to what I owed. Other than that, I’m happy with my experience.

It was a complicated closing as I was physically out of the country, which required a bunch of trips to the US embassy - one of which I was very happy to do, as the end result was savings in our mortgage. Hard not to recommend - as difficult or arduous the process is the ultimate end game is savings.

I didn't know who they were until I found out they've been reporting bad fraudulent information on my credit file for 3 years. They say I have a mortgage through them in which I don't, due to me renting for 3.5 years now. I've repeatedly told them to correct this to no avail. I guess I have to contact the BBB and Attorney General to get this resolved. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY.

Updated on 10/30/2015: Nationstar finally sent me paperwork that I've seen already showing where they "purchased" a loan from Aurora Loan Services in July of 2012. In my opinion, Aurora Loan Services sold them a bad loan and wasn't honest with them. I've told them 19 times now that my original mortgage foreclosed in 2011 and Aurora Loan Services was my second Mortgage on the property.

Now why would I send monies on a property that someone else has owned since March 2012...??? They said they're going to take possession of the property...?? I guess they're going make the new owners vacate the home they've owned for 3 years. (lol) If they did a little research, they wouldn't have ruined my credit over a 3 year period. Does anyone know of an Attorney that handles these types of Fraudulent Credit Reporting situations? Nationstar is a terrible company and I advise everyone that their practices are unfair. Nationstar has bad reviews all across the internet and does not care about the consumer or their credit-worthiness.

He made me feel very comfortable and was listening to what I had to say especially when discussing my refinancing options. Hopefully, refinancing will cut the mortgage about 7 years or more and the PMI out because we really did not need that. Overall, it was a lot easier than I had anticipated. Nationstar Mortgage bought my mortgage from Cenlar. During my re-financing, Justin took my initial call and sounded good to work with. However, the other officers were awful. When my loan went in, the guy processing it was rude. My loan went into a suspended queue, until August. During that time, nobody bothered to call me so I called Justin and the gentleman that was helping me, which he never returned my call. Justin did and said, "I'm sorry it was in the queue. Let me see if I could push it through."

He got me in touch with a guy named Lawrence who was really nice and did a good job. However, Nationstar Mortgage seems to have some kind of system which would mess up my paperwork. I emailed Lawrence about it and told him that I filed paperwork but in two forms, they got my birth date wrong. I also said that I was curious as to the interest rate. They never responded and nobody has ever fixed my forms to this day. As a matter of fact, I was going to call Justin to find out what is going on and when my payment is due because I don't know if I'm supposed to pay my October payment from my old loan. I don't know why they're horrible at getting back to their customers or if they're too busy but it's just not a good experience for me.

Our interactions with Nationstar's mortgage professionals were fine. But our first experience wasn't good because the young lady said the refinancing was going to be a quick process being that they already have all our information. She said that we didn't need any papers but suddenly she was asking us to submit several documents. And I said to her that that was the reason why I was refinancing at that time. Being a school teacher, I didn't have time to go look for all those documents, we're closing the school year. That was my only concern when doing the refi. So that didn't work out well.

So I proceeded to call Dan. And then Dan said he clearly understood and he was very, very helpful. It went really well. He was very professional. Clarity throughout the entire process from the beginning until the end. The only issue that I had with them was I kept asking them what was going to be my loan payment. I was refying two houses. And they kept quoting me an amount. And for one of them it was accurate, but then for the other house it wasn't accurate. I felt that it wasn't as honest as I had expected with one of the loans, and I almost didn't close. If it wasn't for Dan, I would have not closed it.

They were saying it's only $40 more. Then when the person was here to sign the documents, she said "Oh, they told you that but they didn't include the taxes and everything". I said, "But you see, that's exactly what I had asked. I asked them if they were including everything". And when they were sharing with me the totals, they were saying that everything was exactly what I wanted. But at the end, it wasn't that exact amount. But I just went along with it because I needed to get a fixed loan.

I know that was done on purpose because in the first loan, the closing coordinator did include the taxes. He included everything. But for the second loan, it was convenient that he wanted to match my amount - I didn’t want it to be $2,000. He said everything was exactly as I asked him but he wasn't giving me the quote that included everything. The person who came to sign the documents, the notary was very helpful, and very clear. She took each document, and she explained every single paper and asked if we had any questions.

Unfortunately, any bad experience stays in your mind. It's funny because I told Dan that I was gonna refer Nationstar as soon as I finish my loan. Now I have two friends who are closing but I told them not to go with Nationstar because the closing coordinator pulled a fast one on me and I don't want that to happen to my friends. So Nationstar lost two accounts. But if it wasn't for that, everything else was okay.

Refinancing with Nationstar was a long drawn out process that just kept going on and on. The timing and communication back and forth wasn’t good. I didn’t think it would take more than a month or two, and it took almost 6 months. Part of that was my fault too because there was a lien on my property that I didn’t know about, so that slowed things down. The judgement for the lien was paid off completely a long time ago, but trying to get in contact with the judgement holder to get the lien released was a problem and I ended up having an attorney to do that. Eventually, Nationstar just dropped the application because I wasn’t getting any place with getting the lien cleared off. When I finally got the lien cleared off, I called Nationstar back and within 3 weeks it was done ‘cause they had all the documentation.

Most of the time the mortgage professionals were helpful and answered all my questions and the agents themselves were doing the best they could. It’s just that there was a problem and it seems I always had to contact them to see if there was any progress. It was a learning experience for me. They eventually, got the job done, but I had to do all the footwork. But since refinancing with Nationstar, I dropped my mortgage payment about $300 a month, and that’s what I wanted to do.

It's the second time I refinanced with Nationstar and I'm very pleased. The first time is because I thought I'd be able to refinance. But this most recent one was because I got letters from them saying that I could refinance and save money. I like the fact that so much of this is done so easily through e-mail and phone calls. Everybody was very professional and they got back to me very quickly. This last time, when I had a question, Sue gets back to me right away. When they originally told me how much I would be getting back from my first mortgage, they didn't have it quite right. So I said, "I think it's a little bit more", and they looked into it and got right back to me. It's very efficient and prompt.

I got a letter so I called the number and got information from Nationstar and asked questions, and they had all the right answers so I went ahead and refinanced with them. I had everything written down and every time I tried to follow through, there was a glitch and I was not happy with what I was getting so I would track it down. The third time I tried it, I was satisfied with what was said that we were going to be doing this time because I'm not sure what kind of program was out there. They were helping me and my daughter in lowering the payment and interest rate. They had a person come up the house and do a notary.

Nationstar Mortgage's professional explained to me the program and that I qualified for it. I decided to give him the information on the phone which got me going back and forth with the questions and answers. I wanted to make sure everything was legit because when I looked at my email, it was Greenlight. They're all connected so that threw a red flag for me and I get antsy when I start doing stuff and don't have an actual person to see. But I would recommend highly if somebody came up and told me they got a letter from them. I would say "Yes they helped me and they could help you."

Recently my wife and I refinanced our home with Nationstar Mortgage, and would like to express our sincere appreciation to a couple of key people involved with our transactions. First let us say that the entire process from our first phone call, to our closing was under 6 weeks. Our first contact was Mr. Rod ** Mortgage Professional who gathered our information, and began to move forward with our application. We were asking for additional funds, above our existing mortgage, in hopes that our equity would provide us with monies to pay off some nagging bills (credit card debt). Within hours we were told we could move forward, and the very next day an appraiser was at our home. Next, Mr. ** sent us an email introducing us to Ms. Denise **. He told us that she is a Master Loan Processor/Closing Coordinator and would be overseeing the remainder of filing, and the closing of our loan.

We responded expeditiously as per his request, and the introductions were made. Our closing was officially assigned to Denise ** who made it happen not only quickly, but proved to be one of the most professional people we have ever dealt with in the banking world. Ms. Denise ** was in constant contact with us, and together we were able to get her the documentation she needed to expedite, and fulfill the new loan requirements. Denise ** was a pleasure to work with and we felt like we're working with a friend (not kidding). Nationstar should be proud to have these two people working for them. They truly made our refinance an awesome experience, and we have nothing but great things to say about the entire process... life changing.

I'm now with Nationstar because my mortgage was sold by Countrywide to them. I wanted to lower payments on my mortgage so I inquired about refinancing. Their mortgage professionals explained things to me and took me through my refinancing options, which was especially good. And they were quick in pushing my paperwork! They told me it could take up to 45 days, and I closed in eight business days. Also, they responded to all of my comments, questions, and concerns. At times I would call and leave a voicemail and I would routinely be called back within three hours.

However, I haven't seen any financial benefit yet because the equity accelerator program I was in continued to debit my account. But by October, I’ll have no payments and my payment went back down by $230 a month. That takes what I’m paying for mortgage below what I would pay for an apartment in my area. It will be less than it ever has been, so that’s significant progress.

The other thing was I made it very clear from the beginning of the process that I wanted to know if there was going to be any additional closing fees regardless of how much they were. Because everybody I know whenever they close, gets hit with “Oh, Surprise! We need $2,000.” We need an extra $8,000” as they sit down to sign paperwork. I told them, “I don’t want to pay anything. I don’t wanna hear whenever we sit down to close that I owe anybody any money. If I’m gonna know that, I wanna know up front days in advance and I wanna know exactly how much it is."

I got an e-mail the day of close and it was like, “Surprise! You owe us $300 somewhat dollars.” I called them and said, “What is this? This is not what we talked about at all”. And they said, “Well, you know, these kinds of things come up,” I said, “No. We specifically talked about this and I said I wanted to know. And you said, ‘Don’t worry about it. It’s not gonna happen’ and now it’s happening.” It wasn’t the amount of money; it was promise keeping and irritated me.

I get a call back a little while later and the company waived that fee. They said, “You know what, you’re right. That wasn’t the deal. You did specifically say on multiple occasions that you did not want to pay anything at closing. And if you were going to have to, then you specifically requested advance notice. And we gave you an email nine hours before you’re supposed to sign paperwork. That’s not advance notice, so we apologize.” I was impressed and pleased with that because they stuck with their side of the bargain. Overall, it was very painless and quick. People were thorough, very responsive, courteous and super helpful. But I wish that I could’ve gotten a little bit better of a rate.

Let me preface this by saying that I've been a Realtor for seven years, so I'm more than knowledgeable about mortgages and refinancing. I also am fully aware of the normal length of time it takes to close an uncomplicated mortgage or refi. Additionally, my husband and I have personally been involved in three mortgages and three refinances. This is our odyssey with Nationstar/Greenlight Loans: Since we already had our mortgage with Nationstar, we decided to let them keep our business when we decided to refinance. At first, everything seemed fine. The Nationstar rep who secured our account, Max **, was professional and helpful. I have no complaints about him. The trouble started once our account was handed off to Greenlight Loans. The Greenlight rep that we had to deal with for over two months (that's two months for an uncomplicated refi on a house with $150,000 of equity) was dreadful.

Vanessa ** was in contact with us via email and, very often, by phone. I initiated the transaction online. I communicate via email much more efficiently than via phone call. I expect to be contacted via email and made that clear. However, Vanessa called me up to four times in one day. Put simply, she had no idea what she was doing. We had several "tense" conversations where I had to inform her what was needed by the underwriter and what was not. Case in point: Bringing cash to the closing. Vanessa called me one afternoon near closing to inform me that the underwriters required a "proof of funds" for the cash we would need to provide at closing. This is for a REFI. Since it was the FOURTH time I'd spoken to her that day, I attempted to calmly remind Vanessa that people don't bring cash to refi closings. That's just one of the many, many examples I could provide of this rep's incompetence.

I also had to not-so-politely know that this transaction was taking about twice as long as it should and that we needed to close in the immediate future. If we hadn't already wasted over a month of our time with Vanessa and Greenlight, we would have backed out of the deal. However, since it wasn't an emergency and we could extend the rate lock, we decided to stay the additional couple of weeks. I will never recommend that any of my friends or clients use Nationstar for a mortgage or refi if they contract out to Greenlight. This was a stunningly unprofessional and painful transaction. I can't imagine how people who are not mortgage-savvy navigate a transaction with Vanessa. I can almost guarantee you that they waste their time and, quite possibly, their money dealing with her.

Nationstar made refinancing very easy. As a matter of fact, I thought it was a scam to start with because it was too easy. If I had known it would've been that easy, I would have done it months ago. We were looking at the interest rates and the term and the length of the term. We wanted to go from a 30-year to a 15-year and we were able to get that. They were helpful and I would recommend them.

I had a Nationstar Mortgage already. They called me proactively to let me know that I was eligible to get a better rate. The staff was very responsive and helpful, and I could always speak directly with the SAME live people so I didn't have to keep explaining myself to new people. Everything was handled online or over the phone. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that I kept getting calls from other Nationstar employees telling me my current mortgage payments were overdue. One side of the company didn't know what the other side of the company was doing, and vice versa. Still, a very good experience.

I have paid my mortgage on time and in full since the day I started with this company. First, they took a check I sent for my Escrow account and deposited it to my mortgage, then tried to charge me interest. It took me 3 months of calls, emails and faxes, on my time, to get the situation rectified. I pulled up my credit report and found a late pay for January 2015. I called Nationstar and they said they took my mortgage payment and applied about $100.00 of it elsewhere (I don't know where or why), and then internally considered the remainder to be insufficient to pay the mortgage. But, they kept the money I sent and never notified me of this. My bank statements show the credits to my account of the full amount.

I called 2 weeks ago and LaToya told me to fax her the proof and gave me her fax number. I did that, no response. I faxed her again yesterday, no response. I called today and Erica told me that she shows nothing on her screen about this and she can't get ahold of LaToya and that I need to resend everything to the research department. They have a different department for everything and since no one works together you have to tell your story every time you call and they tell you you have to tell another department. It is very infuriating. My credit has been greatly affected by Nationstar's mistake and they are not correcting it promptly as they should.

I have been with Nationstar Mortgage about 14 years and during my years experience hasn't been the best, with communication to customer service. On my credit report Nationstar filed me as foreclosed, which was not true. I had filed bankruptcy in 2010 but affirmed the mortgage. Filing bankruptcy appeared to cause a breakdown every time I needed to talk to someone. I was able to get my loan modified. As doing so, each time I called I was directed to the bankruptcy dept. As being on the modified program I never missed a payment but each payment was never reported to the credit bureau and my credit scores never increased and each time I would call concerning this problem I was told it would be corrected. Not so!!

Although in August 2015 I was allowed to refinance with the HARP program and my daughter was my co-signer. We had a name change from Yvette ** to Yvette ** and during the signing on the new loan ** was on the paperwork and I had asked my processor to please make sure during the title it will be **. And lo and behold it had **. When I asked can this be corrected I am told I need to see a Title Attorney. Therefore I think this is unfair. Although we tried notifying the title co. at the time of the signing but no answer. I am disappointed at the experience I have endured and I hope my credit score will improve to show that I am making payments and I hope you can help or direct me to change my daughter's name on the title to **. Thank you.

This set off a series of time consuming phones calls to Nationstar and insurance company. My insurance was cancelled due to non-payment. Greenlight loans was easy in the beginnings because of filling out paperwork on the computer and that sped things up. My first loan didn't work out because of PMI which I didn't want and Todd figured out that with "less" money I could bring the principal down giving me a 20/80 loan and in turn cut my costs even more (about $1000). After closing the first time, a hiccup occurred because it combined the old loan figures with the new ones Todd came up with so I had to close a second time. But, everyone that I dealt with was friendly and helpful. The closers came to the house which made the refinancing even easier. Would use that same people over again.

When we contacted Nationstar to see about the loan and what we should pay because we never received any documents from them just the old bank that sold the loan. When we called Nationstar we were told we could not make a payment because they had none of our records or our account information yet and when they had our info there would be a package coming in the mail with all of our information on it as soon as I get all of our information that never occurred. In fact after 4 months of waiting they finally had our account information and wanted us to pay for the last 4 months all at once. Of course we did not have the money to pay it off all at once. Roxanne suggested we do remodification. 3 weeks into the modification our loan specialist was switched to Juan. We were told Roxanne no longer work there.

We have filled out four packets and every time we do they say either "we didn't get it", "something wasn't right with it" or they need more information. The only time they say they receive documents that we have mailed them is when I sent it certified letter and it has to be signed for. We have been at this for about 8 months now. They will tell me they need one document. We send it to them. Don't hear anything from them for 3 to 4 weeks even though we email and call and get no response and then we finally get a hold of them and they say "well that other document has already expired, now we need new" and it just repeats.

Now we are facing foreclosure. My father built this house in 1958. After he passed away this is the only thing that we have left of him and now we're looking at losing it. I would not recommend Nationstar to anyone. I believe they want the house to foreclose. They have not tried to help us in any way. Nationstar purchased our loan and we refinanced with them since we wanted to lower our interest rate and payment. It went relatively well at the beginning when we talked to their mortgage professionals. But we had a problem at the end when they shorted us $120. Since the loan closed on the first of August, my wife sent our payment beforehand, on the 26th or 27th of July. She usually sends payment for the old loan before it is due. The bank received it and on the first or second, it was closed. It was faster than we thought and everything was fine.

We expected that we would get the whole amount back because when they received the demand, everything was calculated. But when Nationstar sent us the money back after four weeks, it was $120 short. A lady explained it to me, but it was strange that they deducted something which they shouldn't or added something and transferred from one loan to the other. It was not been properly explained. We never received a statement on what happened to the money. We are still waiting for a statement from the lender to see how it was calculated and what had happened. We're mad about being shorted $120. But as far as Nationstar handling the new loan, everything was fine.

Funny thing is, THEY ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE ESCROWING MY ACCOUNT. I called them and they told me they made a mistake (ok, fine) but it could take 6 months to get it adjusted. Really?!? It took 5 minutes to do it wrong. In the meantime, I will have an escrow readjustment (ok, remember, I don't have an escrow!) which will make my bill go up as they expect me to refund them the money. I didn't ask them to do any of this. Just take my Principal and Interest and leave taxes and insurance to me!

We tried to refinance a home with these people. We got nothing but the runaround for months! Endless requests for documentation. Endless delays. We had to nag them every single week for an update, and each time they demanded more info. It was ridiculous. And then, 4 months later, they turned us down. This was for a mortgage they already owned (they bought it from B of A). The new loan payments were less than the old ones. Didn't matter. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE, YOU WILL REGRET IT.

Without question - this refi was absolutely the worst!! The whole process took over 2 months and was continually handed off to a new person every 2 weeks. Each had their own issues to work thru, taking more time. Then at the end, more hoops to jump thru with "conditions." Never use Nationstar Mortgage and Greenlight Loans. PAIN FROM START TO FINISH! Not that this will have any effect. They are so big, my loan doesn't matter to them. Besides... They are just too big to fail (or improve). Sound familiar?

About a year and a half ago, I attempted to do a refi and was turned down by Greenlight, which is associated with Nationstar. There was an individual that came over to do an appraisal and he was rude. But the Nationstar guy I worked with was nice. I wish I could have gotten a lower interest rate, but we ended up getting a 3.75. I was in an interest only for 10 years and now it's the principal. My original was way lower than what I ended up with 10 years ago and the county of L.A. messed up and long story short, we had to refinance. The only way we could keep this dump is by an interest only. I still owe more money than this dump is worth and I'll never own it.

After shopping several lenders I decided to refinance my home loan with Nationstar since they were the current holder of the loan. After trying to work with them for almost 2 months to finalize the loan I now realize that decision was a mistake. The communication has been very poor. Customer service has been terrible and clarity, messaging and transparency in the underwriting and closing process horrible.

My underwriter has provided me with unclear communication and when I attempted to get clarity by asking what additional conditions were needed to finalize my loan, he responded with "I'm not going to allow you to trap me"??? How is trying to understand the requirements/guidelines set forth by your bank trapping you? Additional background... I am not a borrower with bad credit and no income and my home is in a favorable equity position. If you are currently considering Nationstar and have alternative options, I would highly recommend using a different lender.

Refinancing was very easy as there were some forms online. It all went quicker than we expected. Overall, it's a positive experience. We have a longer loan now but we do have a lower payment so that's good. The only thing I think when we got to signing the papers, there were some errors and miscalculations that had to be fixed. It wasn't a huge deal but there were at least a few forms that we had to re-sign because we have two houses. She came to our house and we didn't have to go anywhere. That was really nice and I appreciated that. It was very convenient and easy.

Nationstar has all the earmarks of either a startup or just a poorly organized and managed company trying to cash in on a fast moving cash in now opportunity. The questions ask seem like delaying tactics vs needed info. The salesman was very competent and effective, the rest of the group involved seem to have a hard time. The way I started judging the response was if something did not get done - I did not have to ask - just did not hear from anyone after promised response. Communications within seemed to be fragment or sloppy or just incompetence running amuck. It took 80 days or more to complete the transaction. Every excuse was used from blaming my response, to blaming the feds requirement, to acting surprised that something had to be done a certain way. So blame the state. Like it was something new - a surprise.

It would be better if I had an explanation of the Nationstar's process earlier. When I understood what was going on, it wasn’t terribly bad. Once I became familiar with it, a lot of things went untold. I didn’t know there were other people involved until the very end. I wasn't expecting to receive a check from a certain company. I wanted to make sure it has something to do with my refinance but there were no explanations or anything of that nature. I wasn't happy with those type of things. It would have been well if someone inform or call me with the closing, and they didn't do a good job with it.

I'm still waiting on the paperwork that will be sent to me in the mail. The notary public that would do it was supposed to mail it overnight and I've yet to receive. I had emails from them that was helpful. I wanted to know when I would see the hard copy so I emailed them back. I was told it would be within three to four days and the time had passed. Very dissatisfied with them. Everything could have been done a little better.

Shortly after, I received a confirmation email from Nationstar CONFIRMING that my Auto-Pay was scheduled for 9/1/2015 and would be drafted every month from my Regions account (and they did show the last 4 digits of the account)! Only they never did. Then, when I inquired about the missing payment, they said they were 'unable' to find my account! I asked where they were looking for it since everyone else was able to find my valid checking account.

Other companies use the exact same banking data for their ACH debits! I sent numerous messages and even attached the confirmation email I had received from them back in August but EVERY time they responded, they never actually answered my questions! September 8th I received a letter from Nationstar advising me to make a payment by September the 16th. On September 9th I called in and talked with Carla. For the last year I've tried to get in touch with my loan specialist Tobi ** who NEVER calls me! I am trying to do a loan modification since I lost my job and he never responds to me. Carla informed me I had to pay at least $850 by the 16th and that the $450 that I just sent them was in limbo. I asked her several times if my unapplied funds would apply on September the 14th when I make a payment. She assured me several times that it will "automatically" go in with my Payment.

I called in today to get the code for my Western Union payment and another lady told me that they sent my $450 back to me along with my other $12 that I paid on September 11th. I asked for a supervisor and got in contact with John. John told me the same thing and said that he couldn't stop payment. I asked "when I would get the check." He said "around 5 days." I asked if I could pay my $850 and when I got that check if I could send it back for payment. He told me "no." He said I have to pay it all at once. I told him what Carla said and he said he's sorry but the computer does it?

I asked if I could extend my date by a day to make sure I get the check, he said "no" because the letter (a piece of paper) has the 16th on it. So I asked "what are my options?" He told me to find a way to pay it all before the 16th or they are foreclosing. So now I have to find a way to come up with another $450 in 2 days! This isn't the first time I've been lied to. Last year I made a payment, they sent it back because they changed my due amount by 10.00 and I didn't know it so it was in lingo and they sent it back making me late again. I talked with a guy then that said "just pay over the phone with a credit card until you get the check back." So I finally got my father to help me since I have no cards.

I call back after several phone calls assuring me I can pay that way. I talked with a nice girl who took my mc payment and she said it wasn't going through so I tried a visa still nothing. We couldn't figure it out?! There was a $20000 limit that hasn't been used. So finally another guy gets on the phone after two more people and informed me they only take debit cards. Apparently everyone there needs more training especially when my home is on the line. Get your facts straight. You don't realize what people go through and how their lives are. You don't realize that that small mistake just caused panic attacks and a strain on relationships because you're not properly trained.

NationStar is a horrible servicer. In May 2015, the servicing of my mortgage was transferred to Nationstar. Because I have two (2) houses on my property, I am required to carry homeowners' policies on each, plus I carry earthquake policies as well. For the 22 years I have owned my property, every servicer has paid the annual declarations from the insurers from the monies it impounded into my escrow account. That is, until Nationstar took over the account. This servicer first dropped the earthquake policies while it continued to impound the earthquake fees.

When I called to ask why, Nationstar informed me these are not mandatory policies and therefore they don't have to service these policies. At no time did Nationstar email or write to me that this was their decision; they just unilaterally did it without bothering to inform me until I contacted them. If that weren't enough, Nationstar dropped the declarations for the second fire/hazard policy from its escrow. Of course, they were still impounding the insurance. Dropping a hazard policy is illegal. Although I've made many phone calls to Nationstar and being promised each time that they would update my account, to date they haven't. A Nationstar representative even called my insurer promising they would add the declaration AND pay it by September 11, but they have not done so. The insurance is due by September 20. The good news is that my insurer now has a record of Nationstar's lying about when this matter would be resolved.

Knowing Nationstar's bad reputation as a servicer, I began a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in July 2015. We are at almost 60 days and even though Nationstar promised the CFPB it would rectify its error, it has not. Therefore, I intend to contact the CFPB about Nationstar's failure to perform and to aggressively seek enforcement. Nationstar is a pathetically, inept servicer. It's a shame that consumers cannot choose the company they wish to have their mortgages serviced with because I think the servicing would improve vastly if servicers had to compete for our accounts. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would rate Nationstar 0 (zero).
