I had a mortgage with a different loan company and Nationstar bought it. I got a little notice inviting me to apply for a refinance and I did, and I like it. I'm certainly not an expert in the mortgage area but the people at Greenlight Mortgage were very helpful. I got a very nice deduction of the interest rate and my mortgage is significantly lower than it was. I'm very happy. However, I got a mortgage bill in the mail from the old mortgage but I was told by the Greenlight people to disregard it. I am hoping that I received the right advice and since it was from Nationstar, I followed it.

Nationstar bought the loan from my original loan from Bank of America. The person I spoke with during the refinancing was really good and fast. Every time I have a question, he always helps me. The process was good, and they were really helpful. My interest has gone down and I was able to have the term cut from 22 to 15 years so I'm completely satisfied. I always tell everybody I see how Nationstar's process was, that they were really helpful, all the papers were done online, and everything was really smooth.

Nationstar took over my mortgage servicing two years ago and have been hard to deal with from the beginning. They don't respond to requests at all. It's awful. When you call they say they will fix it in 3 to 5 days but it never happens. They have been doing this for 6 months and it never changes. My advice is refinance somewhere else. Nationstar is the worst!

I Googled Nationstar and I was a little leery at first because some people come up with all kinds of negative stories. But there was more positive than negative and our experience was positive. Everybody was good. The guys we dealt with were easy to get ahold of, not like some other ones we've had. I usually can't talk to a live person and that gets really frustrating. But with Nationstar, we didn't have any problems like that with their people. We got our monthly payment and the interest rate lowered a bit, which helped. I wouldn't have any problem recommending them to anybody.

The whole process went very well. All agents involved were professional and well versed in the process. Although, about 45 or so days later, I did receive an email indicating my original paperwork was missing one of my initials, and I had to resend it. That was a little offsetting for a moment. Otherwise, a smooth process.

Me and my husband obtained 2 mortgages in 2001 with Bank of America. We've never had a problem with them or our payments being automatically withdrawn on time and then 2 years ago we were transferred/sold to NATIONSTAR. We weren't told until after we got information from Nationstar. About two months ago we received our maturity date letter saying that we have over $8000 due on our maturity date for both of our properties in total. We've never missed a payment at all. We received our statements and we pay them and have never been late so we contacted Nationstar and we have been getting the runaround ever since until today. I escalated until I couldn't escalate any more.

After being told month after month that we will get something from the research department about our account because they can't seem to figure out why we had such a large payment due on our maturity dates, where it is supposed to be only one payment and then we would be done. All we got from research is the exact same thing we've gotten before which is a promissory note that we have and been going by since 2001 which is 15 years ago. Then today I get the supervisor on the phone and he says when a payment is not received on the exact date it is due been there is interest accrued on it daily.

Mind you we mail in our payments because we didn't know what Nationstar was and we didn't want to give them our direct information like our routing and account number so we mailed a payment in. And like any other mortgage or homeowner we thought well our payment is not 10 days late--it's not even 3 days late so once they receive it we will be good to go. We received our statements and they didn't show anything past due or any late fees because we always made our mortgage payments either on the day or at the latest they'd receive it and process it 2 days later.

Our statements always the same amount of $776.41 on one account and $214.35 on another account so we thought "oh we're good to go, we're almost at our maturity date and we're close to paying our accounts off!" No such thing because they are saying when they received the payment a day or two late it accrues daily and they put that on the unpaid principal which is due on the maturity date. I asked why weren't we told this or why wasn't it on the billing statements because IF WE KNEW THIS WAS OCCURRING WE'D PAY IT SO IT WOULDN'T BE A BALLOON AT THE END!

We never had a problem with Bank of America mind you, all of a sudden after we have a Nationstar for two years now it's a problem and we now owe $8000 in total on both of our accounts. So please tell me if this is fair or not because it is not if we had this problem with Bank of America we probably would have been owing $20,000 by maturity date but no it's $8000 because it happened in the last two years when we started with Nationstar. My advice to you is if you have Nationstar or are trying to acquire Nationstar, run the other way because now they think I'm Bill Gates and I can just pull money out of thin air. But with little janky servicing companies like this that the big banks sell to because maturity dates are coming up and they aren't making money off of, that's how Nationstar will get over on you so please beware of them! Thank God I'm well off but it's still our hard earned money gone to scam artists.

Their reps were very cordial and helpful. I'm counting six years off of the period of loan and paying only slightly more than what I was paying. So it's going to be six years in savings of approximately eighty thousand dollars by doing the refinancing.

I'm writing this comment in hopes that the appropriate people/agency has this information available as to prevent the hardship that my family has suffered as a result of Nationstar Mortgage llc. This is not my first rodeo with Nationstar, after a three year battle with another mortgage co. Nationstar purchased my loan. They tried foreclosing on me and threatening me 16 times until HUD stepped in. Now I had a flood in my home before Thanksgiving was issued a check and after communicating with Nationstar, endorsing the check, paying for overnight returned funds $30, the following were their request. I'm a contractor performing my own repairs, copy of my lic., my bond, my insurance, my tax ID, copy of the insurance claim, and repair claim. This was per their loss mediation dept. faxed by them checked off by them!

I was to receive a partial payment 40,000 of the 50,403 dollars the check was made out for this check was cashed on 1-14 along with the check for $30 dollars for the overnight delivery of the first payment. Again my loss happened in Nov. at which point I commenced repairs and was told that after I forwarded the endorsed check I could expect it in 3 days. I've contacted Nationstar 6 times at no point have they made any effort to contact me. Each time I have contacted them they need another paper which I've already sent them. Each time they ask for a contract between the contractor and myself. Each time they apologize and do nothing offering to resubmit to the review team another 5 days I've spent over 42,000 towards repairs and in this process my father has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. They were made aware of this from day 1.

My funds have been depleted and Nationstar only response to this situation is to call 3 times to ask if I have their mortgage check. I keep impeccable records to whom I talk, what they said, all faxed transmissions and correspondence. I WILL TALK TO ANYONE ABOUT THEIR DECEPTIVE PRACTICES. They have now knowingly affected my ability to pay my mortgage, health care, pg&e, and other bills. Is this retaliation for reporting them to HUD. You decide. Please help, as Nationstar is apparently untouchable!!!

Our mortgage was purchased by Nationstar Mortgage in 2015. Their accelerated equity program is handled by Equity Accelerator which we participated in. Monies were drawn twice a month from our checking account to pay for our mortgage. We paid off our mortgage in December, 2015. I notified Equity Accelerator that our mortgage was paid in full and that they should cease to withdraw monies from our checking account, but they continued to draw these funds on 12/31/15 and again on 1/6/16 for which we had to put a stop payment on, incurring service charges of $36.00 and $35.00 respectively. When we confronted Equity Accelerator about these charges, asking that they be reimbursed to us since we had given them notice, they asked to speak with a representative from our bank and went on to ask them to reverse these charges as a good will act.

We were mortified that they should do this and not bear responsibility for their mistake themselves. At the same time, Equity Accelerator had already deducted half of our mortgage payment ($1,819.25) from our checking account on 12/15/15 towards the January 2016 mortgage payment due on 1/1/16. We notified Equity Accelerator of this and was told that this amount would be refunded to our checking account. Subsequently, we did receive a letter from this company indicating that the amount of $1,819.25 would be refunded to us by February 3rd, 2016 if we did not sign up any new mortgage with them. On February 2, 2016, our checking account was credited with $1,518.88 from Paymap (Equity Accelerator), this is $300.33 less than the amount we are entitled to.

We tried to reach representatives from Equity Accelerator 4 times, each time having to go through a series of prompts and wait time, only to be disconnected before speaking with a representative. Finally last night we were able to speak with a customer service representative who indicated that the difference represented an enrollment fee, something we had already paid for at the time we signed up for this program. Then this became a discontinuance fee because we did not cancel within the first 90 days of our enrollment. How can this be when our mortgage was paid in full - why would we need their services any longer if we no longer had a mortgage. We asked to speak with a supervisor and were told that there were no supervisors available or even there at all.

We advised them that we would be contacting Consumer Affairs and The Better Business Bureau to lodge a complaint. We are looking for restitution of the bank fees we were charged because of their mismanagement and for the balance of the mortgage deposit deducted from our account and deceptively not refunded to us, a total of $371.33.

This issue is now on its 13th month and finally today I spoke, yet with another staff member by the name of Franklin that said that the reason folks are in a situation like I described in my previous review (foreclose to short sale instead) is because it is our fault. He stated that Nationstar has every right to do what they want. I tried explaining to this individual that I wished to speak to a supervisor or someone in a higher supervisory position as he was being very rude and condescending about my situation. Franklin said that there "was no one here higher" than him (mind you he was the first employee in a call customer service that I was sent to) and yet no one is in a higher position than him???? Then he said "Oh, that person is out of the office." Really? I am having realtors, investors and other folks in the real estate business just walking into my house (garage), backyard (yes there is a door that remains closed) yet they walk right back in.

He said I should basically suck it up because they are doing me a favor by possibly buying the house at a higher bid. (I told Franklin that there was a bid in place via a short sale two weeks ago that Nationstar has ignored). I have maintained a book on the lies that they have told me and I tried to explain to Franklin what options were shared (foreclosure, short sale, deed in lieu) and they NEVER ONCE MENTIONED that if the house went thru a short sale that they would NOT accept the offers that have been given to the realtor. Apparently Nationstar has their own "way" and not the legal way of handling short sales. After researching laws and speaking with various attorneys (California Association of Realtors) it's NOT legal for them to accept another offer in auction but they will do it anyway.

Nationstar has not been challenged in CA due to the cost that will be placed upon the consumer (me) versus big business (Nationstar) with deep pockets. So once again, Nationstar is a horrible business. After taking much rudeness from Franklin I had some choice words for him. I have documented all my efforts and lack of by Nationstar for 13 months. The way these employees get to lie, cover and not KNOW really what they are doing is a criminal act!!! I have spoken with a total of 9 different "employees" of Nationstar and NOT one has explain to me the same process of how they handle a short sale, modification, foreclosure and deed in lieu. If I could give them a ZERO STAR I WOULD MOST DEFINITELY WOULD! Accept the short sale bid and let the consumer move on their lives.

When the account was transferred to Nationstar Mortgage we had an escrow balance of $596.82 on April 16, 2015. We made one additional payment on May 8, before taxes were paid by, of $134.15, giving us a total escrow balance of $730.87. The taxes paid on May 29, 2015 was $771.13. This left us with a negative escrow balance for 6 months of $40.26. Obviously the negative balance needed to be paid plus account for the next year of $80.52 which is a total NEW increased amount of $120.78 for the first 12 months. Assuming the federal maximum cushion allowed by law is 1/6 of the escrow is charged, that would add another $288.43 for the year.

We estimate the maximum amount the escrow would increase from $134.15 would now be $168.25 per month yet Nationstar Mortgage increased the escrow from $134.15 to $400.02 per month, which is against the law—against state and federal regulation regarding escrow accounts. Nationstar Mortgage refuses to give any statements and refuses to give online access to view statements and refuses to do any escrow analysis which we are entitled to receive by federal law. I believe Nationstar Mortgage is involved in a big scam and stealing tens of millions of dollars from hard working Americans.

Nationstar's mortgage professionals during my refinancing was top of the line. I spoke with them because I have my loan and I wasn’t sure if I could get it through. It came a point that I can refinance so I had one individual who worked with me. He said, “You know, you can. And here’s what I think we’ll do. You will save some money. And you are at that point, you have at least 20% equity so we can drop that PMI insurance. It’s about $300 a month.” So we went through that.

I went ahead and gain the necessary documentation. Then they said “Yes. We want to do this.” I was trying to talk to somebody who would walk me through the entire process with the loan papers and everything else. They did a fantastic job to the point that they arranged for somebody who could come with all their documentation and sat on our dining table. My wife and I signed all the paperwork. It was very comfortable because I was already with Nationstar. I have no problem and I enjoy being with them.

Staying with them made the process easier because they already had my payment history on the house. They already have some documents and we just need to update a few things as opposed with the bank. We saved a good amount of money a month and that’s helped us as we made our budget go this year that we’ve been able to lower our expenses. I hope that anybody who'd get Nationstar would have a good experience as my wife and I did.

My home loan was changed and Nationstar became the servicer of the loan. They were quite over the top in their communications to us, urging us to refinance. Not a week went by for a good year that we didn’t get some mail from them saying we should refinance. Since they were already servicing the loan, it seemed the easiest thing to do.

I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was. We started doing it and within a few days it was all done. The people that I've dealt with were very responsive, experienced, thorough, and helpful. There were a couple of times that I ran into questions and called. Even when they were not available and I had to leave a voicemail, they got back to me within probably five minutes. Also, they were willing to talk about any of the different things that we wanted. They mapped out several different options for us and talked us through the positives and negatives of each one. It was very thorough and helpful. We have a 15-year mortgage now which before we had a 31. So we skipped years of mortgage payments.

I have been dealing with Nationstar since my mortgage was transferred to them. I have spoken with numerous customer service personnel in which they are polite and try to answer questions I ask. I have tried numerous times daily/weekly to get a hold of my "Dedicated Loan Specialist" with no luck whatsoever. I am in the process of submitting documents for a modification and noticed on the website that I still needed to send a couple more. I needed to talk with the specialist as I had a question about one of them. No response, he does not answer phone. I leave messages and have given both cell and work #'s. I called today 1/27/16 and talked with someone in customer service who stated my modification was rejected due to the missing documents??

If I could have talked with my "Dedicated Loan Specialist" and got the answer to my question this would have been resolved. Now being told I would have to re-submit everything. Very frustrating when you supposedly have a "Dedicated Specialist" assigned and you can never get a hold of the person. Would be great if I could actually talk with someone about it and get some kind of result/help on getting the modification going.

I cannot give Greenlight 5 stars because my initial interaction with loan processor Ronney ** was miserable to say the least. He was a master at dragging things out; non-responsive, asked more than one time for documents already provided and had to have me send updated bank statements because things dragged on so, that the ones provided became outdated. I finally lost my "nice" and advised that I was going to contact the "complaint" department and this time I copied Victor **, my original contact loan officer. I can only assume that he is responsible for contacting Paul **, a supervisor. Paul was great, started things moving along the way they should have and then turned me over to my new loan processor, Albert **. Albert was also great, kept in almost daily contact and today, my two refinanced loans are approved, funded, closed!!

In reading the first 20 reviews, it appears that my experience was the exception, not the rule, lucky me. LOL. I can only advise, if you decide to use Nationstar/Greenlight, at the first sign of delay tactics, get on the phone to their customer complaint department. It appears they have many excellent, professional employees, I just drew a slacker at first. My hats off to Victor **, Paul ** and Albert **.

Nationstar kept sending me notices to refinance. At that time, Wells Fargo had a lien against the place and I couldn't do it. As soon as the lien was lifted, I went to Nationstar. Their professionals were good. The guidance that I received was great and they were able to reduce my payments. I had a problem setting up the auto-payment since I had auto pay with Nationstar for a couple of years and no problem with that. When I refinanced, they didn't automatically continue that and I had to go through the whole application process again which I thought was not necessary. But it's handled now.

Another, when they're doing background checks as far as financial or credit rating, they need to update it. Before, I was in trouble with Wells Fargo. That didn't sit well with me so I went the wrong way and did all kinds of bad things. Nationstar says on my credit report that I'm 'seriously delinquent on payments', but that was during the arbitrary moments. When it was all rectified and all the accounts were paid off, they didn't say, "Everything's good with us!" It hasn’t been updated when it should have been done by Wells Fargo. They did not put in the good part. So I got a bad credit report.

My wife and I recently refinanced with Nationstar Mortgage, and while Caitlin ** was very helpful in working through all our different options and setting up the initial refinancing figures, the mortgage processing department was quite frustrating to work with. The digital document review and approval process was confusing and we had to approve some documents multiple times.

There were numerous emails requesting information that needed to be submitted before finalizing the refinancing. In the end, we don't understand why we weren't just sent a list for requested information, so we could do it all at once. Had the processors been more organized or the process itself streamlined, the number of emails could have been greatly reduced. In all, there were over 100. We started the process in early December, and didn't have our closing until the middle of January. We're glad we refinanced, and are happy with the reduced interest rate and loan term we were able to get, but the process was a disappointment. Because of that, I'm not sure we would recommend Nationstar to our friends or family.

The goal of refinancing a home mortgage is to decrease the cost of the mortgage and monthly payments. After I re-financed with Nationstar, my new payments and mortgage were much more than my original payments. Nationstar, the scam called HARP and many other loan companies use gross pay to calculate new mortgages instead of one's net pay, the liquid funds available for paying bills. By using my gross pay (taxes and other fees taken out before I receive true liquid funds) Nationstar calculated my new payments to be half my monthly income instead of the 1/3rd required by law.

As far as I'm concerned, using gross income to calculate anything should be unlawful and require imprisonment of those that falsely calculate using this immoral and incorrect method of calculations. I want to know if any other citizens feel the same way about the way loans are calculated? I also want to know if anyone has a logical explanation for using gross income calculations?

Nationstar Mortgage bought my mortgage from Freedom Mortgage in the summer of 2014. An error was made in the handover. Nationstar began writing, texting, calling, and emailing me about only making a partial payment. No matter how hard I tried, Nationstar insisted I pay the remaining balance. They even said they conducted an internal investigation and determined positively I had only made a partial payment. Finally they said they were sending a letter to the credit companies as I was in arrears.

At that point I contacted Freedom Mortgage and explained my problem. They assured me I was on time with all of their payments to them and they would contact Nationstar. A short time later a man purporting to be a Nationstar Vice President called and apologized for their error and harassment. I told him I was concerned about my credit score. He assured me no notice had been or would be sent to the credit companies. I recently was turned down for a Capital One credit card because of my credit.

I downloaded a TransUnion credit report. It contained a negative report from Nationstar saying I had been 30 days late with a payment. I contacted Nationstar. They sent in a correction. I am appalled they can adversely affect my credit irresponsibly and I cannot get the Capital One credit card. Can any action be taken against Nationstar, for example a fine or adverse report on their record? My Nationstar loan number was **. I have since sold the property and paid off the mortgage.

When they said they were going to send me documents, I got them and followed up with me to make sure I was still comfortable with everything. My previous experience with Nationstar was horrible. There was a big screw-up with my account. We had to take money out of our 401(k) to fix it and it was all an error. It was a huge mess about a year ago and then we couldn't refinance. But now it's good. It got us in order for the next step when we got refinanced not too long ago.

I was talking to somebody who didn't know what he was doing, so it was a waste of my time. The representative said I could only do a 15-year mortgage. And then I went shopping around, and because I owned other real estate, my tax return said I didn't qualify for a refinance. When I went back to Nationstar Mortgage a second time, the guy I talked to was very helpful and knowledgeable and I wish I had gotten in touch with him first. They offered me a 30-year mortgage this time. I'm now getting lower monthly payments since refinancing with them.

Nationstar has a habit of sending payment for homeowners insurance just under the wire. They give you the runaround and say "we mailed the check" but it is always late to the insurance company. I do not understand why the checks are still mailed through the USPS and no one can give me an answer. This is something I have faced each year and multiple phone calls withhold time that can reach an hour. A really bad way to run a company. If your direct debit payment isn't there the day it's due you get calls within 24 hours. Even on a weekend when the banks are closed and no debits go out.

I’ve been doing business with Nationstar for quite a while. They bought a loan of mine and I hated them at first. They were the worst and I was doing everything to get away from them. They used to call me. The mortgage payment was due the first, but they accepted till the 15th. When you have income properties, the tenants pay around the first to the fifth and then I always send in the check on the fifth but they would blow me up day in and day out. I would get more automatic calls from Nationstar. They weren't called Nationstar yet back then (their name has changed four times).

I own a lot of multi-family complexes, and I recently closed an escrow on an apartment building of mine with Nationstar. Christina got the deal closed in nine days and it was the fastest and the easiest I've ever seen. I could not speak any higher as far as my experience on this recent refinance. When I did it in 2007, a 5.5% loan was great, but it wasn’t that competitive anymore, and Christina was absolutely fabulous. I’m in the telecommunications and I deal with technology solutions, and I’ve referred her to several commercial real estate companies that I do business with. I’ve gone out of my way to send business the way of Nationstar because of the experience she gave me. I opened up my communications and leads directly to Christina. I don’t know if it was her or the company but she seemed to really make a difference.

    Reviewed Dec. 29, 2015

I started this process on September 18th, 2015. I was considering using Quicken Loans to refinance my mortgage, but then out of the blue, I was contacted by Sam ** at Nationstar. Because my current mortgage is with them, I mistakenly believed that it would be easier to use them than to contact a "stranger" about my refinance. I closed on this loan just 3 days short of the 15th week.

I did everything they asked for, sent in every document and paid every fee for outside information. What it came down to in the end is that the underwriter was (for lack of a better term) jacking both me and my loan processor around. Case in point... they needed a questionnaire from my Association. The Association filled it out and sent it in. Well that wasn't good enough. They wanted the "long form" questionnaire which I needed to pay $95.00 for. I did that, the Association filled it out, and sent it back.

There was a center section of the form that requested information about their insurance coverage of the structure. Now keep in mind, the Association has already given them that information, and so in its place, gave them the phone number of the Insurance Agent in charge of the property in case they had additional questions. At the same time, the person from the Association told them that we had 30 rental units in the complex.

I needed to have an appraisal of the property which was done somewhere around week 3. At that time, the association reported that we had 31 rental units. Obviously a conflict in information. Here's the problem in this example. The form that said we only had 30 rental units was on the same one page form as the information about the insurance. The underwriter sent it back for the rental unit question, and waited until it was corrected to send it back (again) for the insurance information.

I was also required to send a letter explaining why I didn't give them a home phone number. They asked for my phone number, I gave them my phone number. I didn't know, nor was I ever asked if it was a cell number or a landline. There were the most serious issues I had. Then it came down to multiple days off, supervisors either quitting, going on planned medical leaves with no back up or just general incompetence. Bottom line as I stated above, this process took almost 15 weeks to complete, and as of today's date, I still have not received my equity check. Bottom line, I am planning on purchasing a different house in 2016, and I will do my very best to stay as far away from Nationstar as I can.

Faxed paperwork again in June only to have my payment sent back again in August with a check in the mail. I sent it back Western union in August so it can match the date again. Now they are asking for 2500.00 to close the modification after I made the down payment of 955.55. They are saying the date started June 16th 2015. How could this be possible when I had to resend the down payment in August.

Finally I was told August 1st 2015, I had an extension until August 9th 2015 until they could finalize Modification. I needed this to go through since I fell behind on payment. I was in the process of refinancing my mortgage loan from a 30 yrs to a 20 yrs starting on Oct 08, 2015. The refinancing process was suppose to be completed by Nov 01, 2015. The person I was working with completing my loan mode stated that they had to verify paperwork that they should not have be verifying. Keep in mind that the closing date was Nov 01, 2015. Each time it gotten close to the closing date they put in place they would always need additional paper to process the loan and you would not have from them for 1 to 2 weeks at a time.

In the beginning I was told that my est closing cost were $300 and something in the beginning of Oct. By the time Dec coming around they wanted around $1200 for closing. The I was current on my account so there was no reason why the closing cost should change so quickly. Before closing I was told that "your account was approved and funding would happen within 72 hrs" after on Dec. 7 2015. But on Dec 11, 2015 I received a call from the person I was working with stating that they now needed all my bank statement with an explanation of anything over a $100 deposit within the last 3 months.

That should have been something as for earlier in the loan after was the closing cost should be. They waited until the loan was approved and then ask for this paperwork that would add an additional week or two to the loan process. I think this was done on purpose so the loan would not get from a 30 yrs to a 20 yrs loan. One more thing, the process went process the loan lock date which is 60 days. This is unacceptable for person with great credit and persons that pay their mortgage on time.

My original loan was transferred to Nationstar from Bank of America which I wasn't all too thrilled about. However, following my initial inquiries and being able to directly reach a live person I was immediately pleased. After the transfer I decided to check out the VA IRRL options in hopes of lowering my interest rate. It was refreshing again having direct access to a live person during the process. Initially things went really smooth. I even had a unique situation resulting in me travelling for approx. 6 weeks during the final stages of the closing process. I informed all parties of this to which they determined would not be a problem as a mobile notary would be sent to my out of state location.

While out of town on business the first issue occurred when I was contacted about my DD 214 stating the lender could not identify the Discharge status and questioning whether I was honorably discharged. My original loan was a VA so I was baffled but asked what we needed to do to rectify. They stated a new DD214 would need to be sent over... Well I was out of town and not returning home until late end of week. Luckily they came up with a workaround so the process would not be delayed.

Week of closing, I was informed the notary would contact me. I'd previously provided my work location, availability, contact info etc. No one could reach the notary. The attorney contacted me inquiring about the notary to which I had no knowledge of. I called the lender to inform them of this and they did escalate. Signing came and went then finally the new notary contacted me but would not be able to meet until 7 PM... Obviously I would no longer be at the work address. Minor inconvenience but still added to the frustration level. Met the notary and completed all signing. As this was a split signing, all parties were aware of the timeline, due dates, distance between borrower, etc.

Morning of December 22nd, the lender contacts me stating that they missed the closing and that I would now need to pay the December mortgage - which was to be skipped due to the IRRL - and the numbers would need to be recalculated, however only after I made the payment. Totally blown by this, I inquired as to what other options were there as this missed closing was due to the lender/notary, etc and not the borrower. I was informed that that's just how it goes and there was nothing they could do until the payment was made. My issue is that the lender should make a concession since this miss was due to them and not me. I have done absolutely everything they asked but to have this occur leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.

I inquired about refinancing my old mortgage after receiving an email from Nationstar. The people I spoke with were all super awesome. The first person I dealt with before I was passed off to Greenlight Loans was absolutely fantastic. One benefit since the refinance is that I don’t have to pay my mortgage itself first, and that’s great. I’d recommend Nationstar.

My payments are going through the roof due to flood ins increase, tax increase, and now principal is due as this was originally an interest only loan. I paid extra money on my escrow to help cut some cost and now the escrow has risen. It's not my primary residence and cannot get rent to cover the increasing cost. Getting thru to them and getting help is useless. They gave me a dedicated loan specialist who I can never get a hold of. His voice mail always says "one of the other agents will be glad to assist you." If you're my DEDICATED LOAN SPECIALIST shouldn't I only have to deal with you?

I have been with them for 10 yrs with automatic withdrawal and they still cannot or will not help me because there isn't any equity in the house and it's underwater (not by a lot but it is). They told me to fill out a HARP loan application which says something like what is your hardship, loss of work, disability. I am still working and don't have a disability. I find their lack of concern over my issue is big cause for me to not recommend or like this co. at all. If you have a choice go elsewhere cause when you need help you won't get it from them.
