Nationstar is terrible!!! They slow roll the client on paying their property taxes and their home owner insurance. I believe there is something illegal going on with them. They pretend that they mail these things out and they do not!!! I have had to pay in both cases myself even though I escrow! Please do your research when choosing a lender.

Nationstar offered refinancing to us and the interest was right. Their representatives were all great. However, they transferred us to the escrow department. The guy there had some kind of accent on the way he talked, it was thick. It was really frustrating and hard for us to understand him sometimes. But the process went very well and everybody was nice. Since we've refinanced, we could miss a month or two payments and we could pay until September 1st. I guess in the future we’ll pay less a month and we’ll reap benefits as far as our lifestyle and living.

We’ve been with Nationstar for quite a while and we refinanced our loan trying to pay it off quicker. I got about $400 back into my pocket and it was one of the better offers on the table in terms of refinancing. Interacting with their reps was great because it was all virtual up until closing, so it was easy and seamless. I live in one state and my wife is living and working in another. Being able to review and sign all the documents electronically was crucial for us to be able to get things done and not have to be both together and on-site for the process. Their guidance is also pretty comprehensive. If we had any questions, we could communicate with the loan officer and the closing officer. Communication with the closing officer seemed to be a little disjointed, and given that we’re all in different states, I wish he understood that.

First, this mortgage company is foreclosing on my deceased mother's home on word from her ex-husband (home was purchased before marriage to her second husband). He has no right to speak for this home whatsoever. I have a contract on this home to keep it out of foreclosure and NO ONE at this business will talk to me, nor my attorney. I work at ONE OF THE TOP mortgage servicing banks, and I know that WE HAVE NEVER TREATED CUSTOMERS LIKE THIS!!! You would think that this place would rather us sell the home then foreclose on, but not this company. Every time I finally get someone on the line they "transfer" us and then the call is dropped. I would never ever use this company for ANYTHING!! I'm so glad my employer stresses the importance of customer appreciation and satisfaction!!! This company will never rank with JD Power & Association. I can tell you that!

My loan officer Tamika ** was professional and very knowledgeable throughout the process. I appreciated knowing from the beginning what documents were necessary to start and complete the process. My closing coordinator Jason ** kept me informed regarding any changes that needed to be made. He was sure to return all correspondence regardless to it being a phone message or email within a timely manner. I can honestly say without hesitation I would recommend Nationstar for home financing needs.

The overall process working with Nationstar and Greenlight was extremely tiresome and painful to say the least. There were a number of issues that I encountered along during my 90+ days of trying to refinance my home for a simply lower rate. The loan specialist (at Nationstar) who initiated my refinance abruptly left the company and no one reached out to me from Nationstar to let me know that he (Francisco **) had moved on. I only came to find that out through a conversation with a closing specialist from Greenlight Loans. The closing specialist (at Greenlight Loans) who was handed off my loan to start with was extremely incompetent. Did not return my phone calls and was very unhelpful when asked any questions about my loan process. She (Tanya **) did very little to provide insight into the overall loan process and instead became a major impediment to my refinance process.

My closing specialist from Greenlight Loans abruptly left the company, which meant at this point I did not know who my point of contact would be at either Nationstar or Greenlight Loans. All in all I would work with 2 different loan specialists and 3 different closing specialists all throughout this process. There were a number of times, because new people were working on my refinance, that I had to resubmit or re-provide to the loan and closing specialists. The one silver lining in all of this was the final closing specialist that was assigned to me from Greenlight Loans - Bige **. She was EXTREMELY responseful and prompt in getting back to me. In fact, if it wasn't for her I think I would still be going through the refinance.

And the ultimate icing on the cake - so I had my loan scheduled for closing on 6/5 at 9 am. On 6/4 (Saturday) the notary contacts me and tells me that he can't do the closing because he doesn't have the closing docs! Turns out the closing docs were sent to the wrong place. So then the closing is finally rescheduled for the following Sunday at the same time (6/12 at 9 am). Just to be on the safe side and given my luck so far, I call the notary at around 8 am to confirm that we are good for a 9 am closing. He tells me that he was told the closing was at 10 am - clearly another miss in communication. Nonetheless, the notary doesn't show up until 10:30 and did not answer any of my calls or texts between 10:10 - 10:30 to let me know he was running late or anything. Absolutely unprofessional.

While out of state during 7-12 thru 7-19, I received a dunning letter as well as multiple phone calls presumably for the same purpose, demanding the 7-1 payment. In fact, I mailed a check in the proper amount with the correct loan number towards the end of June. The check cleared my bank on 7-1. I spoke with Bernice on 7-20 who acknowledged Nationstar error in misapplying funds from the payment. She promised the late charge would be erased, that the records would show the payment was made on time, that the error was made by Nationstar and that she would send me, at my request, an email to that effect. After making the 8-1 payment on 7-25, the loan statement arrived 7-31, showing I owed two months' payment and a late charge! Infuriating to say the least.

Bernice was either negligent or lied about sending me the email she promised figuring she would very unlikely have to answer to the same borrower again. On 8-1-16, I spoke with another customer rep named Deidra who stated the next payment was due 9-1-16 and she would remove the late fee and send me the email that I requested. I am waiting. To receive unwarranted dunning notices is inexcusable and an indication of poorly trained and/or negligent personnel.

Nationstar sent me a paper in my mail saying that I could refinance my mortgage, so I looked into it. I should have contacted other companies for this because looking back at my rate, I probably could have gotten a lower rate. Discussing my refinancing options was very challenging at first. I got a loan agent who was fired during the course of me processing our loan (he gave me some erroneous information) and then I had another person come and then I ended up with a third person. What should have taken a few weeks, took much longer but it's done now. Since the refinance, I added ten more years to my mortgage and lowered my payment.

I had a mortgage that came over from Aurora Bank over to Nationstar. I decided to do a refinance as of a couple of weeks ago. It was very quick and everything went very smooth. Their reps were very straightforward and made everything extremely easy. The guidance they gave was excellent. They explained everything in detail as we went through the forms electronically. I had a direct number to call for any questions I had and there was no wait time. You couldn’t ask for a better person to deal with especially the processor who initiated everything. It was hassle-free and it couldn’t have been better. Nationstar brought my mortgage down about $425 a month and that’s a big drop. The interest rate was only 1% less but it made my life a little easier. It’s a pretty big impact when you start adding $424 back into your cash flow.

All in all not too bad a company to work with. I have had worse but also had better. Am currently in my 1st home. Been here just over 6 years now. The financial institution I used to buy my home sold the mortgage. In my 6 years have had 4 different mortgage companies. Of them I have found Nationstar customer service to be friendly enough & I really like their website. I dislike their collection department & practices however. Was a couple months where I did not make my payment on the 1st but perhaps the 6th instead. You can count on them to start calling on day 3.

When you talk to collection department on issue they tell me they will note my account but collection calls will continue until paid. After all they are required by law to call like this. Also if I happen to not be home or answer phone when they call would leave a message and then also call back a couple hours later. Have had up to 3 message left & according to the caller ID missed 10 phone calls that day from Nationstar.

After obtaining my new loan, I arranged for payment to be made through "autopay." However, when I received my first mortgage loan statement, there was no indication that autopay was in effect and it appeared that Nationstar was expecting me to pay by check. So I called the customer service number on the form to be sure that autopay was in effect. It took three attempts to finally reach a rep who was very helpful and answered my question re my loan payment method.

Two problems, however: (1) The automated system does not work well for customers with questions not specific to the choices presented. Need to be able to reach an agent more easily/quickly. (2) I made three calls in rapid succession. I actually was connected with an agent on the first call but was immediately disconnected. I was disconnected on the second call before reaching an agent. Thankfully, I made it through to an agent on the third attempt. He was very helpful and quickly answered my concern. Then he connected me with a supervisor or tech person who attempted to reassure me that the issues were being addressed. Lastly, it would be very helpful if future mortgage loan statements would contain a statement that it was for information only/that payment would be made through autopay... or words to that effect.

On July 17, 2016, I made a payment of $300. I am in the hardship program and sent them what I could. I was appalled and infuriated to find out a few days later my checking account was hundreds of dollars in the red and my credit union (I have decided to leave after this; they have been terrible) had charged me $120 in overdraft fees. The reason is Nationstar withdrew, read, STOLE $1160.00 from my account instead! After I recovered from the shock, I called them and reached someone in the Philippines who CLAIMED they would help me with the issue but ideally I would "call customer service in the morning". (Great isn't it, how they employ Americans?)

I am still dealing with this. I have filed complaints with State Atty Gen Office, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and will continue to pursue with fury. What I find most disturbing is how many complaints JUST LIKE MINE are on the Internet--hundreds. People, they are STEALING MONEY OUT OF THEIR OWN CUSTOMER'S ACCOUNTS! What company does this and stays in business year after year after year? I mean, really? Where is the FBI? They stole $1160 out of my checking account without any authorization from me. I AM NOT ALONE. What I find appalling is I guess it's ok to steal from people when you are a large corporation despite layers and layers of regulatory "oversight". WTF? Stay tuned.

The insurance company made sure we were okay and located a nice place for us to stay with a full kitchen. Any other time Nationstar will call you a thousand times a week about refinancing with them. Anyway any checks over a certain amount has to go to Nationstar - they have to sign it and send it back. By error I did not do the return correctly after spending money to have it Fed Ex to them and having it Fed Ex back to me to start the work so that we can move back home.

I called them on yesterday and was told, "The envelope was not done correctly." Okay, you can call any other time so no one thought to call us and let us know. Then I get it will take up to 10 business days!!! We have to be out of the hotel by the 26th... That's our money and they have no right to hold us up. I SAY, "If you CAN GET AWAY from them "run"". Now we may have to stay on the street until they DECIDE they are going to mail us our check back. I have called the insurance company, BBB and anyone else who will listen. We went again with them for refinancing and I spoke with one person and she was on top of getting everything done. She was very polite, professional and talked us through the process, which was very easy doing it online. She was explaining the paperwork as we were doing the electronic signing. When it was all done, they came and filed the papers so it was a very easy transition and I was pleased. I haven't made my first payment yet, but it's a 15-year term. We knocked off four years and it's a cheaper monthly payment, so in doing extra payments, we'll be able to pay it off even in less time and save a lot of interest.

I wanted to lower my interest rate. I've been trying for about a year and Nationstar messed up on my account, so I was trying to fix that. And then, finally, this last time they're like, "Well, we can't fix it, but we can let you refinance now", so that's why I did the refinancing. The guidance was good and informational. They found the best rates for me, wherein I would be saving $200 a month. Once I got into the refinancing, the process was super fast.

I just went through a refinance with Nationstar. It was lot easier than in past times. With the advent of keeping things simple, the process went smoothly and was relatively painless. The original mortgage I had that Nationstar bought from Chase was a 10 year interest-only mortgage and they changed it to a 30 year principal and interest type of mortgage. I said that it was time I put some principal into that beast such that when I pass, maybe my daughter can use that to move onwards.

It went very well with the mortgage professionals during my refinancing. The two people that I ended up talking to were very helpful and guided me well. The young man, Hassan, was very easy to talk to and deal with and he explained things well. Then a young lady picked up from there and brought it all together and before I knew it there was a guy at my front door with a stack of papers for me to sign.

I'm paying a lot more now than I was paying before. The only thing that I'm a little bit confused about is I got a letter from Nationstar telling me that I could make a payment right then and there. But Hassan told me that I would not have an August payment, although I'm not so sure I have actually been issued any documentation to that effect. The refi just happened a month ago and I've made one new mortgage payment so far. Now I'm wondering what that number is going to settle in at because I've seen two or three different numbers.

Nationstar Mortgage's professionals were extremely friendly and helpful. We had very good communication back and forth. I mainly had two people helping me through the process and they were both very good at their job. Anytime I called or had any questions or sent an email, someone got back to me right away. The whole refinancing process took less than two weeks. We're now locked in at a lower rate so our mortgage payment went significantly down. I couldn't ask for anything better than what happened.

Nationstar Mortgage owned my mortgage prior to buying it. When I first got my old mortgage, it was an interest-only for 10 years and then it was an adjustable-rate mortgage through the life of the loan every six months. I wanted to get into a fixed rate so I looked into refinancing. I already had my loan through Nationstar so I was able to do a fast track or a streamlined refi and I did not have to provide as much information and they're already my provider.

I only spoke to two individuals, the first person that took my loan and then the underwriter. Discussing the refinance was very simple and I didn’t have tons of different options to go through because I was coming out of a bankruptcy. They described what I wanted and told me what my payment would be and made it work so it was good. Everything was very cordial, quick, direct in regards to what I needed, and professional. They kept their word when they said they would have it done by a certain time so I was very, very happy. I literally refinanced and I haven’t even made a payment yet. But I have a lower payment and I got to not make a payment for two months so that's savings.

It saved about $125 a month in payments. Everything was very easy to understand. I really enjoyed how everything was done online, for the majority, until we got to the last part for the closing. It was really easy to do all the signing of the documents online. I also liked how they said that we could pick out the closing area to meet at in our town. So I called Nationstar and talked to Amanda, and she helped me. We filled out the papers, and a week later, Dan called me and said that I’ve been approved. It’s so fast! Their service is excellent. It’s better than any other mortgage company that I’ve dealt with.

I’m very happy and grateful for Nationstar. They really care about people. They talk to me like I've known them for a long time and they are very helpful. I tell them my problem, and they laugh with me when I say something silly. They understand my concern with getting my house paid. Dan was very punctual and nice. He listened to me and answered all my questions. He took care of everything and told me what was going to happen, when somebody will get here, and what we had to do. They’re great. I was also told that I didn’t have to give a payment until August 1st. Although I got a statement that said I have to pay on the first of July, so I don’t know what’s going on there. Other than that, they lowered my payment from $2,350 to $1,945 and it’s easier for me to deal with that. I’m very happy and would recommend Nationstar to everybody.

They were very responsive, easy to work with and answered questions along the way. I'd been turned down several times trying to refinance but I never qualify for it because I technically need too much money. But there's a lot of factors that people don't pay attention to so it was nice that I qualified for this latest government program. It was when I first purchased the house from them that was the nightmare.

And I told them I had a terrible experience with them before and I'm not going to do it if it's going to be this big of a hassle. However, they'd promised me it was going to be streamlined and that it was going to be real easy. They said it's just FHA and won't be a problem. They also said I could back out anytime I wanted to and all I had to do was let them do the work. I closed the sale of my home in March 21st of this year (2016) and at the same time had overpaid the property taxes with a double payment. One from the buyer's escrow and one from Nationstar Mortgage escrow which at the time was the servicing company of my loan. The local county promptly refunded the property taxes but sent it to Nationstar Mortgage LLC instead of directly to me. When I called Nationstar on this, I received conflicting information, dropped calls, on hold for extended times and could not get an answer. After several months of this, I finally received a small check from Nationstar that was less than one third of the amount I was to receive with no explanation or backup.

I followed up again only to receive later a letter stating the amount of the payoff had been changed AFTER the close of the sale and the difference they took from the proceeds of my property tax overpayment? This is grand theft and Nationstar Mortgage LLC should be prosecuted to the furthest extent of the law! If anyone reading this can assist me in this, I would certainly provide the paper trail proving my case.

I like being able to know that when we get to retire, our house would have been paid off.

I recently do a refinance on my house due to my husband's passing. Nationstar's people were courteous but I don't feel as though they have me the best rates. I'm at 4.5 and before I had a harp loan at 3.2 and the rate was due to go up in 2017. While I never really got a clear picture of why that was happening I felt presided to refinance as soon as possible. I'm on a fixed budget now and have limited resources... Bottom line with the rates so low I feel as though they could have gone lower... But they said I should refinance again around Oct. or Nov. if the rates are lower... But if I do that I'd owe more due to the fees they add on which are around $5,000.00 dollars each time. I don't understand that either since I've had my loan with them for over 5 yrs. Now I'm not well educated in the mortgage business but it just doesn't seem right to me. I hope this helps.

My existing mortgage was transferred over to Nationstar Mortgage. I was aware that mortgage rates were very low and I also heard rumors of when they will start going up. Nationstar Mortgage had been sending out some information and I made a phone call to them. Because I was an existing customer, they were able to help me out even more with regard to my refinance.

The gentleman who answered my call was Michael and he was awesome. I didn't expect a whole lot but it was nice that I wasn't required to have a home appraisal and my fees were very low. Michael was able to get me a great mortgage rate. He spent 45 minutes on the phone with me and he had enough information. He was incredibly professional, very nice, very helpful, and he really made it easy. Within a couple of hours, he gave me a callback and confirmed he could lock in an interest rate of 3.3. I thought I'd be looking at $6,000 to $8,000 in fees come closing, but my fees for the loan was roughly about $2,000, which was wonderful.

From that point, I provided whatever documentation Michael needed. He transferred that over to a colleague of his, Shannon, who worked on the loan and closed it. I was told that was going to be this Saturday, which was in two weeks' time, but I was going be out of town. They said it was okay and told me to let them know when and where and they'll make sure the notary came to me. I live in Reno and I was up in Boyce. They made arrangements for the notary to come with the closing documents to Boyce. I was able to finish and sign them and get everything done. It's been a breeze. It's been valuable and it's a good savings to me.

Another thing that I liked was they were able to offer me a 20-year loan rather than a 30 or a 15, which was incredibly attractive to me. I've already paid eight years into this loan and I didn't want to extend it another 10 years. I would have loved to do a 15-year loan but I couldn't afford it. But a 20-year loan keeps me on track. It cuts two years off given the 3.3 rate and low closing fee. I feel very lucky and I'm very happy with Nationstar.

I was initially dreading the whole process and had reservations about refinancing. I was about to refinance previously on two different occasions. First was with Nationstar but it was starting to get tense with whoever mortgage person I was dealing with initially, so I backed out. I got another letter in the mail and I decided to try it again. This time it was good, easy, and effortless. It happened so quickly and I kept waiting for them to call me and tell me, "We need some more paperwork, we need this, we need this, we need that..." We haven't even paid our first mortgage but our interest rate went down considerably. We had a 6-point-odd and now we have a 1.5. My mortgage is now lower because they had jumped considerably. It really pumped me to go ahead and try it this time.

Our house was financed with Bank of America, who we were very happy with and sold our loan to NationStar Mortgage. We have been unhappy with NationStar Mortgage since day one. Our bills never come in on time and we have to send in the payment early without voucher because they can never mail it out on time. If we wait for the vouchers, our payment is already late. We have called repeatedly about this and they seem to not care. A few months ago, we received a notification in the mail about our escrow shortage. With this letter, it said you can leave existing payments as is if paid in full so your house payment would remain the same. So we paid payment in full to leave our payments the same.

After making a payment, our house payment increased anyway with no explanation as to why this took place. We called customer service and we talked to the manager, who was very rude and kept arguing with me over the phone. He could not give me an explanation as to why it went up and neither could any of the representatives. I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone. They have been more of a headache than a help. We are looking for another company to refinance with because we don't trust them. They tell you every year that you can send a payment to keep your house payment the same but they charge you more anyway when you sent a payment in.

I would then call them and leave a message because I could not reach them directly but they did not return my calls and answer my questions. The same thing happened with email communication back and forth. I got the general sense that there were too many Asians and escrow people and Underwriters involved in my refinance.

The person I deal with the most a greenlight was named Mark and he tried hard to help me but he did not know very much and had to put me on hold and ask someone else and that felt like poor training for the poor representative Mark. Those were my main concerns. I'm happy that I have a new loan. Although I wish Nationstar would have returned the extra funds that I sent in error as they promised they would but did not. Called again on Monday and was put on hold repeatedly and told that a request was submitted but nothing had been decided on it and that a refund would take up to 30 days! When demanding to speak with a manager I was repeatedly placed on hold and after 57 minutes of holding was hung up on by the representative from Nationstar.

I received a call back from a representative that informed me the original request received no attention until Tuesday because the manager in charge was not around. We didn’t owe very much left on the house, but I thought that I was paying interest that I didn’t really need to be paying so I refinanced with Nationstar. They are my mortgage company and I stayed with them for the convenience. They already knew me and it minimized the amount of stuff that they wanted. Their reps were very responsive and got back to me at emails very quickly. The whole process went smoothly. I've been through another mortgage company at a different house and they were much pickier. Overall, the experience was very efficient. Nationstar only asked for the information they needed and it was much quicker than I thought it would be.

Greg just refinanced with Nationstar because his interest rate was so high, which should have been done years ago but never was. The first attempt was not very good. We went all the way up to closing and then they told us it wasn’t going to close and didn’t tell us why. We couldn't get a hold of the person that we talked to any more and they wouldn’t call us back. Six months later, I decided to give it a try one more time and had a completely different experience with the new person that we talked to. They've been very helpful and since refinancing, we've been getting an almost $300 payment less than what it was.

I am on hold right now with Nationstar Mortgage and been trying to resolve this for over 2 hours! My monthly mortgage premiums of $4,614.37 that include principal, interest and some amount for escrow toward yearly property taxes were always paid automatically on time from my bank account. As before $4,614.37 was paid on June 1, 2016, but on June 6 I received an e-mail from Nationstar Mortgage that payment was not received. I checked my bank - payment did go out as always to same beneficiary as always.

I wrote a message online via Nationstar Mortgage web interface questioning why the payment was not posted and received an electronic message reply "that payment is received but not applied and is in suspension because my monthly premium changed to $4,816.84 and that I need to pay additional amount of $237.48 in order for payment to be posted " with no coherent explanation why. I called Nationstar Mortgage and now on yet another hold - over 2 hours now.

What I did learn from one of the customer service staff (that from their English sound like they are in India or Nigeria) is that Nationstar Mortgage insurance department unilaterally decided that I need flood insurance and unilaterally added $237 to be paid monthly to escrow account!!! Seems like Nationstar is now in pushing insurance services down their clients throats.

Now I am in the middle of trying to convince someone sitting in Nigeria that an apartment on 27 floor does not need flood insurance and if it did I would not buy it from them. BTW - we of course have every type of other insurance, such as hazard, exterior, interior that we pay for and also a policy held by condo association - we could not have gotten a mortgage without it. Still on hold, now with supervisor that promised to get to the bottom of this...

I was with Nationstar for three years and then I refinanced with them to lower the interest and monthly payments. Their mortgage professionals were friendly. They answered my questions and were fast. My interest rate was up to 5.0, and they lowered it to 4.0 after the refi. I also owe 21 and a half years, then they dropped it to 20 years. It went down so I'm happy.

I have a phobia about going to the dentist but I would go to the dentist 30 times before wanting to go through the mortgage process. It was a hellish experience. Everybody blames the underwriter for everything - he wants this and that again. They always make it where you wind up wanting to just pull out and say, "To hell with it" halfway through. Speaking with other people, this has been a lot of people's experience. It's asking for the same documents three or four times and filling out an application again because the 45-day period lapsed.

My mom already had a mortgage with Nationstar for the past 12 years. We needed to refinance because the 10-year interest-free special expired and the interest was obviously adjustable and going up. I tried to convince her that we needed to refinance, but she didn't want to. She finally agreed to refinance with Nationstar because she was more familiar with it. Their reps were all nice and very professional. Refinancing has lowered our monthly payment, although we probably could have gotten a much lower rate elsewhere.

I also used Greenlight and I refinanced it just recently, and Nationstar is still servicing that one. It seemed awful easy to just stay with them. Their mortgage reps are very good. Everyone I dealt with was very friendly and professional. I got a lot better interest rate and so I'm paying down much more principal each month than I was before. It was pretty much as I expected. I expect a fairly high standard anytime I deal with people, so if I don’t have any complaints, it's a good compliment. It went very smooth.

As I type this review, I am livid! I had one bank for 17 years after we built our house. Then one day I get a letter saying they no longer back Fannie Mae mortgages and our mortgage has to be given to this company Nationstar. I never heard of them, I did not receive any paperwork from them when my first payment was due. I was getting nervous so I called them, they said everything would be fine and nothing negative would be reported to my credit. As I've come to find out, the ONLY way you can make a payment to them without being charged a fee (to make your own mortgage payment, they want to charge you unbelievable!!) is by an ACH withdrawal every month.

I signed up for that and my payments have been coming out on the 1st business day of the month for the last year. Since we've had the mortgage with them, EVERY single day I get emails, phone calls, letters in the mail, even Priority sent letters telling us to refinance with them. I've asked to be taken off of every option, they are worse then telemarketers. When I call them to complain about it, the people on the phone are like robots - they do not listen. At the end of EVERY phone call they ask me if I would like to refinance! I say to them "did you even listen to a word I said!"

In December 2015 we decided to refinance with a different company. We have come to find out that Nationstar has NOT reported our mortgage payments since January 2016 nor have they updated our "activity date" on our credit reports. Because of this we cannot get a loan. Since we live in a world of electronic communication, the credit reports get sent electronically to Fannie Mae for approval and if the payment and activity dates are not updated, the loan is rejected.

I am at my wit's end trying to deal with Nationstar, the credit bureaus and the new mortgage company. I filed a complaint with the credit bureaus but that did no good. Nationstar has 30 days to answer and when they responded all they did was send the same January information. I called the credit bureau to tell them that the situation is not resolved, do not close the case. They said they do not look to see if the issue is resolved, they only file the complaint and receive the response from Nationstar but no one looks at it to see if the error is correct! This was a supervisor at Equifax who barely spoke English. She told me I had to file the complaint again! Then I filed a complaint with Consumer Protection Financial Bureau.

The week after I filed the complaint with them, I received a letter from Nationstar saying they will answer the complaint within a week. On the date they said they would answer the complaint I received an email from CPFB saying that Nationstar will respond within 60 days! Are you kidding me, another 60 days! My husband and I are so stressed out over this, I don't know how to get this fixed. I'm all for a class action lawsuit against Nationstar. The stress and financial loss due to not being able to refinance is beyond words.

So I refinanced with them and it was easy. I didn’t have to jump through as many hoops. They brought the person out to my house to sign all the papers so I didn’t have to go anywhere to fill out the information. During the refinancing process, their reps called and sent emails. Everything was through eDoc and it was very easy. They gave me three or four different options. I thought very well and picked the one that I liked the best. I got one month without making a payment. The monthly payment has dropped, only by 50 bucks but that’s good. I was able to pull some cash out to pay down some other debt. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. It was simple and they kept me in the loop at all times.

Repeatedly I was told it was being held up for one item or another. It wasn't until 3 months later that I discovered the problem and was able to restart the process. Again, I experienced communication problems, which resulted in my paperwork being sent to the incorrect title company, as well as in delays in closing.

It went down, but it didn’t go away. I was a little frustrated that I had to bring $800 to the table for closing because I was told that there would be no closing cost.
