We refinanced our mortgage with Nationstar/Greenlight a few weeks ago. Our loan officer, Daniel **, was extremely helpful with the entire process. He was knowledgeable about any question we asked and guided us through it all. He was probably the main reason we went through with this! Patty **, our closing coordinator, was also very helpful. She got us to closing very quickly and knew exactly what had to be done and when. They both helped with phone call and emails and it went quite smoothly.

First through Bank of America. Now through these clowns, but yet they say we're months behind in payments. Go figure, right!? I have copies of bank statements in my hand RIGHT NOW, that were sent to them, but they somehow never received them. How convenient. The NJ Dept of Banking is working with us to resolve the issue, since I have no faith in this organization to rectify.

My mortgage was recently transferred to Nationstar Mortgage from HSBC. I'd been with HSBC for 13 years and I must say, I was pleased with their services. I called Nationstar to inquire about the incorrect amount for my mortgage payment (it included an extra escrow amount made to HSBC last month) and was advised my account has a code on it and they're not able to touch it. When the rep offered me to speak with someone in the escrow dept and I agreed, she hung up on me. Afterwards, I went directly to the internet to read the reviews and my worse thoughts were true. Poor service is their standard. Great??? Can't wait to fulfill my mortgage obligation with this company.

This is one of the worst companies by far. I have had my house for 7 years and ran into significant hardship this last year. I contacted Nationstar repeatedly and talked to numerous representatives that either did not know what they were doing or were very misinformed. I was told at first that I could not put my house up for sale if I wanted to do a short sale. I was also told that I had to 60 days late before I could short sale. Neither of these things were true.

Now I have been told I have to modify a loan that now I have been paying on and can no longer afford to pay on before I can short sale the home. I sent papers in on September 23rd. Now I went home on October 10th to find the house broken into by a company sent by the mortgage company to winterize it. They broke out a window, broke down a door, went through my things, ran sacked and trashed out the place. The mortgage company gave no notice of this. These people are not for helping people as my case is unique because of domestic violence.

I made a phone payment on the 14 of October 2016. Sorry to say my payment was returned to my account due to it was short 11 dollars. Insufficient fund fee by my bank was 35. When I found out I called Nationstar and told the service agent I will make a online payment the next day. The service agent says ok and he will note it in the system. The next day my payment posted. Two days later I check my bank account to make sure my bills were paid. To my dismay I was overdrawn by 600. I quickly checked my account and found that Nationstar made another attempt to collect the returned payment prior to the second.

I live pay check to pay check and have two small children. My account was wiped out , no money to get groceries and my credit cards maxed out. The service representative should have told me that the system makes two attempts to collect I would not have made a separate payment. So now all my bills that I paid online for Friday October 21 all have 35 dollar overdraft fees, which I will deduct from my mortgage payment for next month. Had the customer representative been keen on the situation I would not be in this situation waiting 3 days for the payment to be sent back. No food, no gas, and I might lose my job or pay for running out of fuel for traveling to work. I was just transferred to this company by Citimortgage, probably for retribution. Very unhappy with this company and I just got here 2 months ago.

I called their customer service and waited 10 minutes to be told their website is down and that why I could not set-up my on-line account. We got literally bombarded with mail and even over night mail to refinance our home. Nationstar is already our mortgage company and we've refinanced with them before and it was easy. This time however, the CSR told us that our house had to be worth at least 300k in order to refinance. Why? That made no sense. So even after that, we still got bombarded with mail and to top it off, it was like being teased. They threw in comparisons on how much we could save by showing us our payment now and how much lower it could be after we refinance. So THEY KNOW WHAT OUR HOUSE IS WORTH! Why are they doing this and not only wasting paper by sending us this stuff, but postage as well.

My Seneca mortgage was transferred to (swallowed up by) Nationstar this summer. Since my 9/1 payment was almost due, and I had yet to receive a bill from Nationstar, I made my 9/1 mortgage payment to Seneca, via their website. I felt safe doing this because the Nationstar paperwork clearly mentioned that payments made to Seneca would be forwarded to Nationstar and credited to my (new) account. By the time I was making my 10/1 payment via the Nationstar website, they indicate not yet receiving the 9/1 payment. So my 10/1 payment was actually applied as my 9/1 payment. When I called Nationstar, the script-reading rep assured me that these things take time and that the original payment made to Seneca was most likely still in the process of coming over to Nationstar.

Now by mid-October - 6 weeks after making my 9/1 payment, Nationstar has no record of it. I got a different script-reading rep who says I should make the 9/1 payment again, this time to Nationstar. The funds are still sitting in my checking account. But YOU KNOW that the moment I make this 2nd payment, the original payment will miraculously be found and WHAM I'll get hit with devastating overages on my end. When I finally got a hold of a supervisor ("Jacqueline"), she seemed sympathetic to my plight. She promised to call me back later today. She requested that I send her a copy/confirmation of my original 9/1 payment to Seneca. That she'll send me a test email to confirm I have an email address to send it to. I get this email, but everything I send to it bounces back as if it's a bunk email. I tried 3 different email accounts on 3 different email clients, and everything bounces back.

She never called me back. So now I'm facing trying to call Nationstar a 3rd time to resolve this. So far, I have very little confidence that I am dealing with a reputable mortgage company. No big deal: I was still only 1/2-way thru their 60-day grace period. Fast forward to 10/1, and I make my October payment via the Nationstar website.

My refinance was sold from a local bank to Nationstar Mortgage 3.5 years ago. I'm shocked to read some of the positive reviews on here. Nationstar has provided the worst customer service I have ever experienced from an organization. I had a difficult time getting the PMI removed when it should have been, as written in my original mortgage agreement. After speaking to multiple reps, who gave me completely opposite information (First Rep told me I had to go through an appraisal and pay 2K to get it removed; the Second Rep told me it would automatically be removed the next month, which it wasn't). Both reps indicated their name as "**".

I put in a written request to have it removed to which I received a letter back from the department manager stating that it could not be removed. His name was also Mr. ** and I sent 3 emails and called him 3 times to discuss with no email or phone call back. I had to have my Lawyer call them and threaten a lawsuit. Then they sent me a letter that my PMI would be removed the next month. They should have back paid me 2 months worth of PMI, but I just ate the cost because I did not even want to deal with them. The entire process dealing with them and their stalling antics was an awful experience. I actually didn't believe this was a real organization, they act and sound like a shady debt collecting company. I am looking to refinance just to get away from Nationstar Mtg.

The redemption period is a period after the home has already been sold at foreclosure sale when you can still reclaim the home. Nationstar financed my first house through my mortgage broker. Their reps were a little slow to respond at first, but once they got through and were able to get the approvals that they needed, everything went fine. My monthly payment is now down to about $120 a month. However, I would have liked a little more background from some of the information. They just automatically assumed that I didn't want to go with a no-closing-cost option even if I could get a lower interest rate with a little bit of closing cost. They didn't even bother to offer that option until I asked. I ended up going with a no-closing-cost option, but I would have liked to have the information upfront about other possibilities to get my interest rate even lower even though it would have meant that I would have had a closing cost. The experience was good, but it lacked guidance.

My original mortgage was sold to Nationstar some time ago. My experience with them has always been very positive, so much so that when I decided to re-finance my loan I returned to them for that. We had a couple of bumps in the road during the process (my unusual circumstances) but they handled it very well with excellent follow through and courteous service at all times. We accomplished the re-finance and I'm very pleased with the results. I will recommend them to family and friends as a good company to work with.

Loan process was smooth and professional although redundant. We needed to provide proof of income several times and in several methods (even had to explain why Doug worked 2 jobs in the same year). The disbursements process of our funds was disastrous. We have never had these types of bad experiences. Nationstar was not a new lender to us and we have been stellar with our payments to them over the years. We had no issues when we refinanced years ago for 5 times the amount. But this little loan was a total fiasco.

Well now it looks like Title 365 might have to cut our checks for a 4th time. Original checks for Atira, Greater Nevada CU and Synchrony Bank were UPS Overnighted to us, but were misplaced by UPS. After waiting 2 days and notified by UPS of the loss, a stop payment was placed on all original issue checks. Three days later, without notification, UPS delivered the checks. After contacting Adam and Alexander we held the checks until further notice. Once Alexander notified us that the stop payment order had been cancelled by Title 365, we forwarded the checks to Atira, Greater Nevada CU and Synchrony Bank.

There were 3 replacement checks reissued by Title 365, but were stopped in PA and never mailed. These checks were voided per Adam. The 3 Original checks bounced. Wells Fargo did not honor the cancellation of the stop payment order given by Title 365 on the original issue checks. We incurred returned check fees and took a possible hit on our credit. The checks were ordered for the third time and were mailed again using UPS Overnight service. There was now a 4th check included to cover fees incurred by the bounced checks etc. These third time issued checks are now lost by UPS as of this morning.

Initially we were willing to give UPS until Friday or Saturday to locate the checks. However, this is the 3rd day that the checks have been lost, and Monday is a holiday. And, because of the ”special treatment” of Nevada checks there could be an extra day or two delay. Should we wait until next week and hope that UPS finds the checks? Does Title 365 want to take the risk that the checks have been stolen? We know that we are not comfortable.

Adam and Alexander, please speak with your management to come up with a game plan. The transaction funded weeks ago and we are still without a healthy portion of our funds but are incurring interest on funds we have not access to. Underwriters for Greenlight/Nationstar insisted on holding these checks out of our general funding and Title 365 cannot seem to get these checks to us.

Today is Thursday, September 1, 2016 and next week with be the 4th week since closing. Adam, please call customer service and insist on a representative when prompted by the robo message. Representative is not an option given to you, but just keep saying this until you get one and then ask for a supervisor. Ask the supervisor to call the Sparks Nevada distribution center for the latest information on the lost checks. We have had to chase down our checks two times now and feel that this is no longer our responsibility. This is your responsibility to get our funds to us. Please contact us today in writing (email is okay) with a remedy. It is okay to leave a message on voicemail.

I called Nationstar, and the first guy I talked to was great. I only dealt with two people, and they were very helpful. If I had a question, I just sent them a quick email, and they were responsive. They answered all my questions and helped me figure out what I wanted to do. I was eight and a half years into my 30-year loan when I decided to refinance, and initially, I wanted to go with another 30-year. However, we talked about the fact that I'd be saving a bunch of money going with the 20, so I went with the 20. Now, I'm glad I did that rather than the 30. Even though I dropped it to a 20-year and I'll be paying it off quicker, I'm still going to save money because dropping the number of years dropped the interest rate, and I'll still save about $24,000 over the life of the loan. Additionally, everything the reps said that was going to happen, happened. It was quick, painless, and extremely beneficial. I'm pleased with it. If I had to do it again, I would because they're great.

My mortgage was acquired by Nationstar from Bank of America a few years back. I would say about 2-3 years ago give or take a few months. My unpaid interest bearing principal balance was not very high when Nationstar took over my mortgage. At the time of my review 9/25/2016 I have one more payment, and my mortgage will be paid in full. I always paid my bill on time and Nationstar did not give me any trouble. All was good until a few months ago.

My gripe with Nationstar started sometime in May of 2016 when I received a letter stating that I did not purchased or renewed my flood insurance for this current year, and if I did to send the proof to Nationstar. I followed the instructions provided in the letter, and I uploaded the proof of insurance on to the site as requested. I got the confirmation that my document was loaded successfully.

A month or so later I received another letter stating that Nationstar will purchase insurance for me because I did not provide the requested proof of insurance. I called immediately and spoke with a customer representative, who told me that they cannot find the proof of insurance in the system. I asked the representative; how is it possible that they cannot find the documents that I uploaded in the system, and I got the confirmation that they were uploaded successfully.

All I got back from the representative was a somewhat apologetic explanation, more of a "runaround" explanation, but not a solution to the problem. I told the representative that I still have the document saved on my computer, and I could reload it while we are talking. I wanted to make sure that this problem goes away. So I reloaded the proof of insurance document for the second time.

The representative put me on hold for a while. After some time the representative came back and said that they have both copies of my documents. The representative verified the paperwork and said that everything is OK. Just to wait few days, and I will receive a letter in the mail confirmation that Nationstar has received my proof of insurance.

A few weeks passed and I received a letter stating that they are not satisfied with the amount of coverage of $139,000.00 which what was the suggested rebuild price for the property, and it should be over $169,000.00. At that point in time I owed Nationstar about $3,000.00, and I have purchased the coverage for over 139,000.00.

I was stunned, so I called to talk with someone at Nationstar about this issue. I was told that this are figures generated by the computer and they cannot do anything about that, but the "manager" will take a look at this issue in the morning and correct the problem, also that I will receive in mail confirmation that the issue was corrected.

A few weeks later I received a letter stating that an escrow balance of $-32.52 was placed to my account to pay for the gap in the flood insurance. Are you kidding me? Is this a joke? At this point I am so disgusted with Nationstar I do not care to talk to anyone there anymore. It is no use to call the customer service at Nationstar, because all you ever get from Nationstar is just lies and the "runaround". It is not about the 32 Dollars, I will pay them, and this is the last time I will ever do business with Nationstar. Hope this helps anyone who is trying to decide if they should do business or not with Nationstar.

Horrible horrible company! USAA transferred the servicing of my loan to Nationstar at the beginning of this month. I went online to make a payment like I always do and the new website would not accept my account number or allow me to set my payment date as the same day. It would not let me submit my payment since my bank account was not correct (it was). I reloaded the page and submitted again and it accepted my payment. That's when the fun began. The first time I tried to submit my payment and it wouldn't go through, well it really did, as did the second attempt. So they double billed my mortgage payment. This overdrafted my bank account and left me with nothing in that account to pay other bills. Luckily I have two accounts, one for bills and the other for general use, so I wasn't completely broke, but I now have other bills due that automatically deduct, and they will likely bounce.

I called Nationstar via USAA and they said that they would reverse the second payment and it would take 24 hours. This never happened. I had to contact my bank and file a dispute to get the funds returned, as well as the overdraft and returned item fees. I thought this was handled until the following Monday when I checked my bank account and found that Nationstar had retried the returned payment and AGAIN overdrafted my account. I had to again contact my bank and pay a $35 fee to stop payment on this so that my other bills that automatically deduct from my account did not bounce.

This stop payment is permanent and stops all future payments for this mortgage account. So to be able to make another payment in the future, I have to mail a notarized letter to the bank asking them to cease the stop payment on this account. I have raised a strike with USAA as well to no avail, so I am shopping around for a new bank to refinance with so that I no longer have to deal with Nationstar or USAA. Stay away from Nationstar and USAA mortgage. Terrible companies, ignorant people, and hours of wasted time.

We have called a couple of times during business hours, and while not a fan of voicemail queues I can usually navigate and eventually get a representative, but not with this company, we get sent in never ending circles. Meanwhile, my homeowner's insurance is unpaid, it's only a matter of time before the loan holder wakes off from their coma and nails us for violating the loan agreement by not carrying insurance. There were issues with addresses being switched around and a lot of stuff came up. Also, when the mortgage professionals were first talking to me over the phone, I thought everything was clear and smooth, but as timelines progressed, a lot didn't seem to be happening because we're waiting on underwriting.

Nationstar should be more upfront about the duration so other people would know how long it takes with the possible underwriting issues. They kept talking streamlined and quick but it took close to 50 days and that doesn’t seem very streamlined. I got lower interest rates working with them though but it's funny because I received a bill for next month’s mortgage payment even though we closed a couple of weeks ago on my first payment. Very dissatisfied with this company. We sold our property back in May and received a payoff letter and the overage of the escrow funds via check. They have since reported to my credit TWICE now that I am delinquent over 30 days!!! I can never get thru their jumble of phone lines to talk to an actual PERSON about this. I have sent a message and not received any feedback. I am trying really hard to rebuild my credit and this is a HUGE BLOW.

I am dissatisfied with the customer service and their lack of response. I guess now I have to go thru the long process of reporting this to the credit bureaus and proving that it is indeed paid off! So frustrating. I will never use this company again and I will tell everyone I know that they are not worth the time. Sad to think that it has come to that, but it sure doesn't seem like they care at me as a customer.

I was being sent notices with my monthly mortgage statement. It went on for about a year and then my wife and I decided to refinance to a 15-year mortgage. And so we called Nationstar Mortgage and they did it. It was a streamline loan so we didn't have to produce a lot of documents and run around like one normally would, which was nice. It was also nice how the mortgage lender and the supervisor all contacted me at different points both via email and phone call, and things went smoothly. It's one of the easier refinances I've ever done. I've owned lots of homes and had lots of mortgages with different lenders and underwriters, but Nationstar is definitely one of the best that I've been with.

My loan was transferred to Nationstar years ago. I started the refinancing process before school started. The person I worked with could have been more informative when I said that it was my first time doing a refinancing. They could have been more forthcoming with options because I didn't know what to ask then and they only took care of the refinancing. Furthermore, I was not crazy about the person who brought the loan back to my house. She's a very nice elderly woman but she came in late and was disorganized. I had a million papers to sign and then I signed the wrong one because she gave me a wrong paper. I felt so uncomfortable with that whole process so the actual signing of the docs was horrible. I would not use her.

But here's what I love. I had another condo and my loan was sold half a dozen times. When I qualified for Obama Home Affordable program which will be finishing out here this January, I wanted to get the lower interest rates so I started the refinancing process. I can't remember who had my mortgage, but as soon as I qualified for that program, they sold my loan. But with Nationstar, they kept me and never sold my mortgage.

Their rep gave me different options, one I really wasn't considering but at the end of the day, it made the most sense and that's the way I went. I have a finance background, too and he was very good and excellent for providing me information so I could make a good decision. I had a $100,000 rental property. I only owed $70,000 so I refinanced based on that for 20 years. I'm still going to pay based on a higher payment but it reduced my mortgage by several hundred dollars. I do have two kids in college so things get tough. The option I took gives me $200 or $250 to maneuver around where I didn’t have that flexibility before. I recommended Nationstar to a friend.

My loan was taken over by Nationstar in 2014. They were great and I could say it was a good experience. I have been recently contacted by them to refinance my mortgage at a lower rate and that I would be able to use some of my equity to make needed repairs and improvements. The property was appraised at a much higher amount than the loan except that there were some conditions. As I stated the property does need some repairs, this would include the detached garage. These repairs amount to around 10K according to the appraiser. It is in rough shape, however that is what the money I intend to borrow is for. Even with the needed repairs the property is still valued higher than what is required for the loan.

Since the appraisal is not finalized I requested an alternative repair or some kind of waiver considering the risk to the bank is nil. Unfortunately my loan processor seems not to know how to respond to me. I've even called the appraiser and they direct me back to the bank. If I had the 10K in the first place I wouldn't need the loan. I can understand if the answer they come back to me with is that I need to make the repairs, I'm only asking if there can be an alternative. Unfortunately it's been over a week and no one has gotten back to me. So here I am in limbo and in a Catch-22 situation.

Nationstar acquired my mortgage. At the previous lender I used automatic payments because I knew and trusted them. During the transition I received several email and paper correspondences. Among them listing "To Do's: 5. Sign up for recurring automatic drafts with AutoPay and paperless statements with e-Correspondence" and instructions for how to sign up for automatic payments.

I never signed up for automatic payments. I sent a check that arrived and cleared 5 days before Nationstar made an automatic withdrawal from my account. They refused to refund it without first talking to my bank even though they acknowledge that: they had received the money, the money had been credited to my account, they took the money without permission. Rather than let them talk to my bank they agreed that they had acted without permission in withdrawing the funds and they will be credited to my next month's payment.

The most maddening habit they have in the customer services is to say "Right" after the customer makes a statement... Then go on to say why it is wrong. I think they are being taught to agree, so they seem agreeable while simultaneously doing nothing to agree. That a bank that makes loans asserts that it cannot issue a refund without confirming with a third party that a payment they acknowledge they have received is absurd. They are in the business of making loans, and they won't even refund credits. Simultaneously annoying and humorous.

I went through a divorce back in 2011 and the house was going to go into foreclosure due to my ex wife living there and not making the payments. She applied for a loan modification without my signature and it got approved due to a quit claim deed (that is only county paperwork). I have had many people call and ask for my signature and they said it could create an issue, then I have called and they said it was pushed through because of company policy and the quit claim deed. They changed the terms of the loan that I am attached to without my consent. The corrupt company policy doesn't trump the law, and I will tell you this won't be the last they will hear from me.

I have contacted the BBB, the Attorney General of Oregon, and I won’t stop until they void the modification or take me off the loan. I have done research upon research on this matter, and no place says that this is a legal transaction. I will not ever take this for an answer. Please review your corrupt policies, and contact me with a correct answer. I have been dealing with this issue for almost 3 years now, and I have given this company every chance to admit what they did was wrong. Very disappointed. Our property value and interest rate was going up so Nationstar sent us a notice for us to pay a lump sum to avoid monthly payment increasing or they would break it up in the monthly payment over a period of time. We chose to pay the lump sum, Nationstar failed to apply the monies properly and since then, they consider us to be delinquent in our monthly payments.

We have never, ever missed or been late on our mortgage for almost 10 years. Several hours have been spent on the phone with several different customer service representatives. We have provided proof of all our monthly payments and proof we paid the monies they requested along with a copy of the letter telling us what to pay in order to avoid increase and yet Nationstar has repeatedly FAILED to fix the problem. Everyone we speak to says they will look into it and call back but never do. They misplaced the lump sum we paid and no one has any idea where it went. We are constantly receiving statements and phone calls claiming we are behind or delinquent and in process of foreclosure, however none of that is true.

Even though they have agreed they receive the money, they still can't find it and want us to pay more. They have screwed up, don't get back to us and continue to harass us for more money we don't owe. We've spoken to managers and supervisors and still we get nowhere. They are the worst mortgage company I have ever dealt with.

UPDATED ON 10/11/2016: If negative zero were a rating, that is what I would mark for this company. They responded twice on 9/15/16 saying they would look into my account and get back to me in 7 business days. It has been 17 business days and I've heard from no one in any way shape or form. I was curious to how they would look into my account being that they did not ask me any account information or anything in general about my account. I have more details, however, this is the short summary that I can write at this time. Ra ** extension **. I sent 2 emails to him, only 1 will fit in this section, but it was just another check in 10 days later. I was asked by you (Ra) to write up a summary of the issue to have communications in writing to forward to your supervisor/account specialist.

"I called on the 5th of July to address this issue. I was assured it would be reviewed in detail and I would receive a call before the 15th (today). Unfortunately, I had to call again to rehash the issue this morning and escalate the communications. There has either been an issue with the way the escrow account was set up, or a transaction in the history along the way, which is now showing in a large deficit for the upcoming year.

I called the county assessor and they said there was not and will not be a large increase in taxes as your assessment has shown. You are asking for an extra $430.78/month, which is almost 3x increase in the escrow payment/the estimated tax collection into the impound account. That is a large error range. On the 5th, I had asked that the original contract calculations and all transactions be reviewed to find the error. The county assessor said that impounds are set up with the 1.174590% of property value at times of purchase and a 30$ processing fee in mind.

She said that the escrow account should not have such a large deficit from their point of view of it was set up correctly and if the transactions out of the account were correct. Also, I was advised by you (Ra), not to pay the mortgage that is due until this issue is resolved. You (he) said that no fees, credit hits, or other negative marks would be associated with this issue."

He passed me on to Summer ext ** who promised to see it through, but I never got a conclusion. I then connected w Alex ext ** on the 22nd. He told me about the info on the check they admittedly issued in error back in March/May (I can't recall which) for $2216.09. After more conversation he promised the check in hand in 3-5 days, which I would reinstall into the escrow account and things would be put back as they should be to mirror past bills. And he promised that all late fees, credit issues etc to be handled within 7-10 days, yet to be seen progress there also.

Today the 31st, I tried calling Alex again but he was unavailable. I asked to speak to another supervisor to have them work w/ contacting him to work for a resolution today (Elizabeth ext **). She initially said it will take another 7-10 days to get the check etc, but I again said I was no longer taking that for an answer since each supervisor previous had been doing the same thing to me with no resolution. Alex finally called me back and I was told that the check was not processed yet, but he would again file for the fix. I then said I was not happy with that answer, and I was going to follow through starting 9/1 to pursue the other avenues to protect myself and my house.

I was on hold for 30 minutes while he reached out for an expedited resolution. I then asked them to call me back when they had a concrete date, or other way to show me that it was actually being resolved this time. He said one of his managers would call back with an answer. As this did not happen, I am going forth with soliciting help from various avenues.

Throughout this I was increasingly harassed via various methods about collections. These has been very disruptive to my family life and excessive stressful. I have spent an absurd amount of time on this issue with no resolve. In response to these solicitations, I countlessly re-explained the issue and was told would be noted. All throughout I told them I would pay but was told not to by escrow and that all credit marks and late fees would be fixed. I never got the copies of escrow account contracts/copies of transactions which I asked for many times, so I could look for the error myself and no one else would offer to have written conversations, so it is making it harder for me to have any power against them.

To me it’s a lot easier to go have a bank where I can walk in to make the payments at the last minute. It’s way more convenient. But Nationstar was very good, quick and a pleasure to deal with. And I've also lowered my rate with my first payment which is due in two weeks.

My only complaint is that I was unaware that I would have to pay any points to get my rate. And that’s what made me so upset. I myself do mortgages and when I deal with my clients, I try and think of ways from them having to pay any points or discount fees. I can give them an option if that’s what they would like to do to lower the rates but the rates that I got were not any better than the rates that are out there. If they're able to get to credit me even half of the points, I would really appreciate that, so this way they collect it yet I got back. That will be the fairest way of doing things.

This is a true story of what took place at Madera Court House, California, September 8, 2016. I watched my home sold at a completely fraudulent and fake Trustee Auction that defied every foreclosure auction video on YouTube and every discussion about foreclosure sales. I do not believe that anyone watching the scene that I watched, would say that what took place seemed like a legitimate home foreclosure auction.

The auctioneer did not know who Aztec Foreclosure was. He did not know who xone.com was. He was not involved with Nationstar Mortgage. He did not say who he was, such as a lawyer or representative of Nationstar, but mentioned the name of a company, not associated with Nationstar. He was evasive and really did not want this information disclosed. Everything appeared to be secretive. He arrived with a red headed female (an unpleasant and rather rude individual) then two other females joined in. It appeared that the three knew each other. After the bidding, about 3 minutes, the three women walked away together in a hurry. None of them were there to legitimately bid on the property but to hike the bid. They were not interested in the property.

Nationstar Mortgage had an older gentleman there to buy my home they foreclosed on. He told me that Nationstar calls him and tells him to go to Fresno to buy foreclosures and called him today to attend the sale in Madera. The sale did not take place at the steps of the courthouse, as stated in the Notice, but closer to the street next to sidewalk. It seemed to be conducted in a manner to prevent other people from knowing an auction was in progress. It would appear to anyone watching that a few people were sitting on the grass talking to each other, and not at all conducting a lawful property foreclosure auction. There was no appearance of an auction. No professionalism.

The auctioneer clearly did not want anyone but the attendees to hear anything. This was the most fake auction and a complete scam that I have seen. The three females left so quickly it was like people trying to disappear. I asked the auctioneer if he knew who they were or had any information on them, as in private party or Realtor, but he knew nothing. Nothing was logged. It all seemed so fake to me and after some pretended bids by the three women to get the bid up, Nationstar bid the highest, of course, as planned. I watched very closely and the appearance of a con, just like cons portrayed on movies where people plan such schemes, was surprising. It is not at all what I expected. These people all knew each other and very possibly colluded to fix the price. After all, the bid started closer to $18,000, and ended up well over $100,000.

I don't know how anyone got a 5 star experience with this company. I would give -5 stars if I could. This company employs a tactic of lying and stalling in order to avoid modifying a mortgage which they already own. My father passed away and my mother could no longer afford the current mortgage payment on her single salary. She owes $170K on her house which is appraised at $290K with a mortgage payment of $1,500 per month. Nationstar Mortgage is the mortgage provider, we contacted them and told them the situation, my mother has not defaulted on the mortgage yet, but has completely drained out her savings. They told us that they would help her get a mortgage modification and sent over the paperwork. Ever since then over the next 6 months they have been asking for additional paperwork, we immediately send what they ask for.

They wanted proof of income. We sent over W2 form from my mother's employer, she works as a baby sitter for a family of lawyers. They issue her a W2 form every year. They then said that this was not sufficient enough to prove her income. Before that we sent them pay check stubs, copy of bank account statements and a letter from her employer. They stated that none of these were sufficient enough to prove income. Someone from Nationstar called us and told us that since she does not work for a corporation, W2 forms cannot be used and she would have to get 1099 Forms from her employer. This is absolute nonsense. I tried to explain to them that a W2 form is a LEGAL document and under federal law since the family she works for have a FID # they can issue a W2 form and along with her check stubs, bank statements - all this was sufficient to prove income...

He then told me it was not, and if she could not get a 1099 from her employer to just make one up!!! Are you serious? He informed us that in order to get approved we would have to commit fraud??? I had the lawyer my mom works for contact them direct, they said fine, they would accept the documents. Then a month later, they said they needed new bank statements along with new check stubs and other papers. We sent everything in promptly. They said they have everything now and it will take 30 days for an answer. After that time expired, we contacted them, they said they still need more documents... now they need a profit and loss statement. So here we go again.

We fill out the statement and send it in. After verifying that they got it, they told us that it will take up to 30 days for an answer. After 30 days passed, I called them again... They said that the file has not been submitted to the department for a decision because they were not sure if we wanted to proceed with a modification, so they transfer me to some guy who tries to convince me to start the whole process over again under HAMP program, if that doesn't work to do the modification... I tell him "NO... we are not starting this process all over again with you after 5 months of screwing us around." He asks me if I am sure I want him to proceed and submit the paperwork for decision. I told him I am 100% sure, and it should have been submitted last month. So here we go again, he says he is sending it in and it will take 30 days for an answer. This was last month...

Today I get a call from Nationstar again and the lady tells me that I have to re-submit the application again along with the profit and loss statement again. I ask her why are they asking me for yet more paperwork that we have already submitted, she said that they are due to expire and new ones have to be submitted. I ask her "what day are they due to expire?" She says "there is no particular date, but they are due to expire..." I am so frustrated with this company. This is a stalling process and they have caused us tremendous amount of grief and headaches for nothing!!! I am going to look for another company to refinance this mortgage and I will never do any business with this scum again, I advise you to not do any business with them either. Find a company which cares for your business!!!

Nationstar bought out my loan with Bank of America. I then had to refinance with them so that I can get my ex-husband off the loan. I went through two people on their side - the first one was all right and the second one, Chung, was very helpful and thorough. By doing the refinancing, my interest rate and monthly payment went down. I'm satisfied with Chung and the loan process. It was a long process but I know he didn't have control over it and it's due to all the regulations they have to follow. But it was a pretty smooth process and very clear to understand.

But I do have concerns. I thought Nationstar was supposed to send paperwork to my ex-husband to sign so he can get off the title. I had to call Nationstar a couple of times to send my paperwork to remove my ex-husband. I sent them the divorce decree twice where it shows that my ex-husband has nothing to do now with the house. He's off the loan now but I don't know if it's a deed or something else that he needs to sign in front of a notary. I contacted Nationstar about it but Yetta, the young lady helping Chung, hasn't called me back. I also got two checks from Nationstar and they still have my ex-husband's name. I can't have his name on there because we're not even on speaking terms so I can't have the checks endorsed.

Nationstar noticed there was no one living in my home in September of 2012, so they sent in a company to "winterize" the property, without my knowledge or consent and without notification. The power was on, the grass was moved and the ac was set to 75 degrees, but they "had to winterize" it. When the company left, the front door was not closed, so one of my former neighbors called me and told me. My property management company entered the home the next day and discovered the winterization paperwork that had been left behind. I called Nationstar Mortgage property preservation division and they apologized and sent the team back out to "de-winterize" my home and replace the locusts they destroyed. I had people set to move in on November 1, 2012, so I made a trip to check everything out. The de-winterizing process resulted in over $10,000 in repairs, of which insurance paid 4,000 and the rest has been out of pocket.

Either they just don't train their employees or just don't care about the customer experience. I was transferred between two departments no less than twenty times, left on hold for extended periods of time and disconnected more times then reaching a representative. Half the time I was transferred mid-sentence while describing what help I needed ending up in the wrong department or just disconnected. One representative went as far as giving me false contact information just to get me off the phone.

After about an hour and a half I finally reached a supervisor after the REO departments phone operators got tired of bouncing me around. In a brief (and condescending) five minutes conversation I finally received the information I was looking for. Could have gone without being talked to like an uneducated high school dropout, but after the lengthy BS I had to go through just to reach someone who could give me an answer I guess it was better than nothing.

One negative was the not returning emails or phone calls in a timely manner. One credit card still has not been paid off since 7-26 but there was a time matter when Costco AmEx went to Costco Visa and the check is caught in the transaction. Hopefully that will be resolved soon.

After the British exit, I looked at what the market was doing and then, I decided to refinance my mortgage. With Nationstar, there were certain fees that I didn’t have to pay that made the refinance fairly simple. The people at Nationstar are always very pleasant. They explained everything in the process and if they had any questions, they were quick to contact me, and if I’ve sent emails out with questions, they were able to respond back to my emails without a problem. My monthly payment was lowered since the refinance.

Their reps went over the different plans with me and asked me of how I wanted it to work-- either I get a lower rate or no money out of pocket They had a lot of different options for me and I picked the one I thought is the best for me and they did it in a timely matter. Everything was sent to me by e-mail and it was very easy to sign all the forms and send it all in. They were all friendly. They communicate well with me and send all the attachments on time and I followed up on them. If I had any questions, they answer them. It was painless. Nationstar has given me a lower rate therefore, a smaller payment on my part. They did a great job. It was a great experience.

My interaction with their reps was great. I received excellent service from the two representatives who assisted me in the refinance process. I had the option to do the HARP program in refinancing through Nationstar, and it sounded like a good idea. We pretty much saw what we wanted that was actually in the paperwork. There was basically very minimal closing cost, save the six years on our mortgage, plus $50 a month. The refi saved us a lot of money. The only breakdown was when they had to bring the paperwork to the house. They got this confused and it ended up with two different people coming over. But they got that ironed out pretty quick.

With Nationstar's support, they did an absolutely incredible job. It was quick, very professional, and very easily understood. There were no hidden agendas and the people were very friendly. We went from a 30-year mortgage to a 15-year mortgage. We still had 21 years on our mortgage, so we saved six years on it. That's a benefit, plus six years of taxes. Moreover, we dropped 50 bucks on our overall payment. If anyone asked me, I could definitely tell them we had a great experience.

I’m a single mom and only one income so I’m really struggling. Nationstar gave me the opportunity to refinance my mortgage so I hoped to lower down the interest and make it affordable, to keep track and to pay my bill. Their representative explained it to me as I was trying to pay off the loan by doing 15-year. But she said that I can’t afford the payment. So she suggested that – which has worked out wonderful and I agree with her hundred percent – if I want to pay off and have extra in the month, I'd just go in and pay extra. So it’s gonna go towards to my principal instead of getting short term and then the bill would be so high that I can’t afford.

However, it’s so difficult to get hold of her. I tried and nobody called me back. I also have a neighbor that had the same situation like me and I told her to refinance with Nationstar. She emailed them and nobody returned her email back. If I help someone and I’d refer in, how do I get them go through Nationstar and do the refinancing? I can’t get hold of anybody. But I'm very satisfied and the experience was very pleasant and good. I’m happy overall.

I am writing this review because of the lack of "want" in helping us to achieve a refinance on our mortgage. All that Nationstar wants to do is send us a loan modification package to fill out. We don't want a loan modification... which could harm our credit. We pay our mortgage on time, every month, but would like to get our interest rate lowered. Apparently, we do not have a Freddie or Fannie backed loan and it seems to be impossible to refinance. They just won't work with us to make life simpler. We are very disappointed and feel we are just basically trapped. I just wish they would work with us on this.

I've been fighting with Nationstar over the fact that every year they send me a semi-threatening letter stating that my homeowners hazard insurance is insufficient to cover my loan in the event of a catastrophic event of some kind. So for 2 years now I've been calling in to talk about it and I'm told my loan value is $X and I'm only insured for amount $Y, where $Y is less by about $75K. I dutifully inform them that the hazard insurance is only to replace/rebuild any of the structures and personal assets I have on the property and that we all agree that can be done by $X.

They can't seem to understand that I live on an acreage property (14.48 acres) and that the land has a significant value and part of my principal balance (approx $100K). And that because of that, the hazard insurance amount and the loan amount are not going to be equal at least for some years to come as I pay off the loan. They just don't get it... I'm sick of them... I really wish they would sell my loan to another institution that understands basic math.
