Every person I dealt with in this company has been wonderful! Lawrence ** was really nice and made me feel very comfortable. I would be more than willing to recommend Mr. Cooper. They even had the notary come to my place of work.

I had my mortgage with Mr. Cooper. Their process was very precise which took about two weeks and it went very well. Their reps were excellent. They were very good about giving the information that I needed to have to go through the process, they were very helpful in that, and they kept me in the loop about what I needed to do. I would recommend Mr. Cooper.

I needed to take some equity out of the house to do some improvements. Mr. Cooper has continuously solicited refinancing or going through HARP. For two years, I would get prompts from them to look at refinancing or second mortgage, so I finally took them up on it. The person I spoke with was Mark. He answered all of my questions. We talked about different options, and what I was trying to accomplish. Everything went very smoothly and very quickly. I was surprised at how quickly they were able to process everything. I was very satisfied. The interest rate might be slightly lower, but I definitely did not lower my monthly payment. But I did reduce the term of the loan. I would definitely recommend Mr. Cooper because they made it easy. The process was easy to go through, and they were very helpful.

Just did a refinance with Mr. Cooper! It was easy and quick! I was kept well informed as the process progressed! When needed documents were requested, I was informed as soon as they were needed and when they were received! Quite a pleasure as I felt no pressure during the process!

I contacted Mr. Cooper to have them determine if I could get a loan for a condo that we would be using as an investment property since we were doing a 1031 exchange with the sale of another rental property. It was critical that we knew if we could get the loan because of the 1031 consequences. If we could not get the loan we could make changes in our planning. The initial analysis was positive so we proceeded with our offer. The process was the worst I have experience in numerous real estate transactions I have been involved in both personally and as a realtor. We were putting down over 50% because of the proceeds from the sale of our previous property.
Because of some of the requests I wondered if they had ever done a 1031 before, like asking for bank statements to show where we getting our down payment. They had the settlement statement from our previous sale showing what was in escrow. There were repeated requests for the same documents. We closed a week late causing problems for the sellers. We started in August and closed just before Christmas. I was told some benefits that later were not given. A lot of over promising, under delivering. I will not recommend Mr. Cooper.

My other loan was sold to Mr. Cooper and that process went really well. They have a great website so everything was handled very nicely. When I had questions and I called, their customer service was really great. Their reps were just super. They did things really quickly and kept me informed. I could go on their website and see what the status was, how things were progressing, and it told me what documents I still needed to do, and I could send them electronically. It was really a wonderful experience. The process took about three weeks for the re-fi and I was surprised. It was flawless. They were really, really good. I'd tell others to go ahead and work with them.

Mr. Cooper/Nationstar team assisted in refinancing my mortgage and closed the deal within 23 days! I formally had an 80/20 mortgage loan and they combined into 1 loan. We closed out on our home last April 20, 2018 and have never received the $600 we were to get back from taxes, payment, insurance owed to us for the number of days left in the month. Mr. Cooper is required by law to refund this money to us but after many phone calls they say they owe us nothing. We have paperwork from the closing company saying otherwise. We had trouble with them all throughout out the 16 months we had our mortgage with them. I can't not tell you how many phone calls we had with them after receiving letters regarding our mortgage. This was the very worst mortgage company we have ever had after owning several homes over 40 plus years.

My current mortgage was through Mr. Cooper, and then I got a piece of mail that said that I could refinance through them. The payment was pretty easy for me compared to some of the other places that I've had to do payments for. Their refinancing options were well thought out. The gentleman that helped me walked me through each option and told me what was the better one based on what I was looking for. So I made a decision based on what was best for me and my family. Dealing with Mr. Cooper was professional, quick and everything else was pretty much on time from start to finish. With the refinancing, I got a little bit of the savings on my mortgage.

I had an existing mortgage with Mr. Cooper and it was about ready to be paid off, so I refinanced. I was trying to reduce my interest rate and get a little bit more. I had enough equity in my home and I’m still gonna pay it off early. I also had a mortgage with Quicken Loans, but I stayed with Mr. Cooper because they got me a lower rate. The reps answered all of my questions and they handled everything very professionally. Everything has gone smoothly over the years that I’ve worked with Mr. Cooper. I would work with them again and I’d recommend them.

I have a daughter in college and I decided to refinance with Mr. Cooper to take out a little equity. They were very good and the refinancing experience was simple and quick. The process took less than a month and they explained it step by step. They were very helpful and they did their best to make sure that we closed before I had to pay for my daughter’s tuition.

Mr Cooper and its associates are not properly trained and will tell you one thing while either not knowing the correct information or just basically not care. I had to file a formal complaint with CFPB in order to let them know what this company does. They hid behind the shield of Mr Cooper but are Wells Fargo all over. The company records documents and related material to make themselves look good. Consumers that deal with them on the phone should- 1 document everyone you talk to and get their ID number. 2 make them send whatever they tell you in a formal email so you have a record. 3 don't trust them even if it's in writing. They don't communicate properly with insurance agents and are unorganized. Consumer beware of Wells Fargo Mr Cooper.

Our loan with Nationstar was sold to Mr. Cooper and everyone I dealt with there was great. The process took three weeks or less and it was perfect. Mr. Cooper is very professional. They have good people doing things that know what they're doing, very efficient, very informative and personable. I dealt with two people and they were both wonderful.

I was very happy with my home refinance on the whole, but I do have a few issues. My loan officer was great (Quyen **) He helped me the whole way through. At one point I was shifted from one loan processor to another and had to send in the information requested twice. I feel my information should have been available to the second loan processor without me having to send it all in a second time. The loan processor (Edgar **) helped me just fine. I did ask some questions at the end of my loan but they were never answered. Once the loan was completed, I was non existent to the processor and loan officer. I would have liked my questions answered is all.

I had some bills that I wanted to pay. I thought I was just going to take the escrow or whatever the difference was there, and then I realized it would be fine to go ahead and refinance. My mortgage was already with Mr. Cooper. They had everything including all my information and history, so I didn’t have to go through much at all to have the refinance process done.
If I needed any guidance, they offered it. My consultant Brooke was always available. She called pretty much all the time to make sure I didn’t need anything. The guy who originally set up my mortgage also called me to make sure that I was happy and that everything was fine. He followed up too. However, the payments were higher. The interest rate was different than what I already had, but I realized with the times of today and everything that was going to happen if I did it, I thought that it was okay. Overall, Mr. Cooper made the refinancing very easy.

I had a home equity loan that I needed to get rid of because it doesn’t do me any good anymore, and I wanted to do some remodeling in my house, so I went with refinancing my mortgage. The reps at Mr. Cooper were great and fabulous. They were very helpful, answered any questions, and got back to me very quickly whenever I had questions. The guidance that they gave me very thorough. I was with Ocwen and then my loan was sold to Mr. Cooper when they acquired Nationstar. We did a refi and it seemed it would be easier to manage through the process. So far, my interactions with the reps are good. They did a good job and I was pleased with the advice that was given and the options that we went through. One guy I worked with was attentive and he responded fairly quick. I didn't have to hunt him down. He was persistent. Mr. Copper is a good option. Look into them and see if they can work on a deal with you.

They suck at customer service. Their automated service took my December payment twice. Here it is January 1st and I still don't have my money back suck as a mortgage company. I've called back three different times since they done it and I have not received my money yet. Thank you Mr. Cooper.

I was with a mortgage company and they changed their name to Mr. Cooper. What they offered me was good enough for me, so I stuck with them and had not even bothered with another company. I didn’t have enough money in my escrow account, however. I came up with shortage or something like that, and it was going up on my mortgage. So I called Mr. Cooper and I talked to a young lady who then connected me with Shaun. She said Shaun could explain to me about refinancing, and he did. He was very good and awesome. He consolidated some of the bills that I pay and I came up on a better end.
Mr. Cooper made a big difference for me. The bills that I would be paying on for a while, I think I'll be out of debt with them in about two years. The only thing I really have to do now is to pay my mortgage, my utilities and my parents. Mr. Cooper was very good. They were very nice and they helped me through the whole process. They got me out of a lot of debt that I was in, and I'm satisfied.

Mr. Cooper got taken over by the other company that we had. They recently refinanced our loan, and everything went fine and easy. We went with them as they gave us a good rate and we were happy with the company before. Their customer service was good. We are already finished, and we had a good experience with it. So, it's a good company. They should keep doing what they're doing.

Mr. Cooper bought our mortgage off M&T and we stuck with them as we never had any issues. We refinanced trying to get out of some debt we accumulated. We called Mr. Cooper, set it all up, and handled it. Everybody was nice and cooperative. They explained everything very well. Mr. Cooper is a good company to work for and they have good customer service. I would refer them to a friend.

Everybody I've talked to at Mr. Cooper were all great. They always answered all my questions and I was happy with the service. I was practically hands-off and I hardly had to do anything. There were some situations where I would be heading in a certain direction and then I’d have second thoughts. I’d come back like, “Hey, why didn’t you tell me about whatever?” Their rep would give a good explanation. I did a 20-year plan and I was concerned as to why I was never offered the 15 or suggested it but I got a good explanation for all that stuff. Since the refinance, I've had a rather sizeable insurance check, plus two months of not having to pay for my mortgage.

I needed some home improvements and I needed to refinance for the home equity, so I was gonna do some home improvements. I got confused with the process of the FHA standards, so it threw me off a bit, but the loan officers at Mr. Cooper were all professional and they did their job well and professionally like they were supposed to. They were able to explain things well to me and knew all the information that they had to give me. They were right on point with it and were sending me the emails also. I took a small equity loan and it was what I thought it was gonna be. I would recommend Mr. Cooper to everybody else.

I had a mortgage with Nationstar and I recently decided to do a refinance. I liked my dealings with Mr. Cooper and it was an easy process. It was a lot of electronic signatures, which I like and it's pretty painless. They were also very good at keeping in touch with me. Their website for checking the progress of the loan was very good and there were a lot of opportunities to talk to them. It was a good process from beginning to end. I'd ask friends to check Mr. Cooper out. Everything went so smoothly that it wasn't like mortgages I've had 20 years ago.

I am a new homeowner and setting up my account and auto-pay was easy and very well explained on the website. It broke down what I am paying and where it goes very well. I had to call customer service to get started and they were helpful and knew the answers to my questions. Everything was explained in detail to my satisfaction. It took me just a few minutes to set everything up and there was no hunting for what I was looking for. It was right on the page.

Back in August we received a overpayment check from our escrow on our mortgage. My mistake. I signed the front of the check for it was sort of blank there. Also signed the back. Took check to deposit it. Lady at the bank said the check was no good because I SIGNED the front of the check. She told me to contact the Mr. Cooper and have them issue another check. I called Mr. Cooper and was told to write void on the check and mail it back explaining what the problem was. This is what I did. In September I got a letter from Mr. Cooper telling me that I cashed the check. I never cashed the check. I returned the check to them. It was only 199.00 but I never got anywhere by calling the mortgage company several times over this matter. The bank even told me they would sign something letting them know the check was not cashed at all. As of today and lots of letters later still have not gotten my money back. Some record keeping they do there.

I did refinancing with Mr. Cooper and it was pretty straightforward. It worked out pretty good. The only problem that I had was when the lady that was my point of contact went on vacation, I didn’t have another point of contact. I had some questions, and nobody was able to answer when I called about them. But overall, I had pretty good interactions with the reps. Most of them were pretty friendly. They made a little bit of small talk and they went straight to the point. They were able to push most things through pretty quickly.

I was investigating my options and Mr. Cooper was quick to respond. Plus the rates were great. So I went with them. They were very accurate in terms of the timeline and the reps were all fantastic. They responded rapidly and were courteous. It was a great group of folks to work with. I got the refi done and it was a great experience. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose them. I refuse to set up an online account because TWICE when I attempted to set up an account I had difficulty doing so. When I called and spoke to an associate about this issue, he said there was no need to set up the online account because it had already been set up. He even stated the address of the person who set it up WHICH WAS NOT MINE! I asked who did, because I didn't! I then asked could my account have already been hacked before I could even set it up? He vowed to get with IT to resolve the problem. Fast forward a week later, I call Mr. Cooper back asking if the issue had been resolved and if so, I want e-mail verification. They assured me, and sent me e-mail verification. Guess what? It happened AGAIN! This time when I attempted to set up the online account, I not only got the address of another person linked to my account, but also THEIR ACCOUNT NUMBER WITH MR. COOPER!

My experience with Mr. Cooper was unfortunately not a pleasant one. The loan originator and processor I dealt with were both unprofessional on more than one occasion via telephone. I would never recommend this company after the interactions I had with them.

I had a Nationstar mortgage and with those guys, I've always been taken care of. So I stayed with them for the refinance and they were good. From the guy that I spoke to originally all the way through to the closer, they were fantastic. We were going to go with a conventional mortgage but I wasn't able to do that. So we stayed with the FHA, which was fine, and they got it done in about 10 days’ time. It was also taken care of before the new year and I couldn't ask for more than that. I also appreciated all of the people who worked for me and reached out to me. I'm a little bit older lady and the gentleman that I started with was very patient with me as far as getting my computer stuff organized for me. Part of the problem was that my husband was my computer guru and he's not here anymore. But the young man from Mr. Cooper walked me through entering and copying things such that it made my life easier. Mr. Cooper was magnificent.

When I bought my house, Mr. Cooper ended up being the final lender. They offered a good rate at the time. Everything also went smooth with their reps. They were very helpful and it was stress-free. Since refinancing with them we had one free month no mortgage payment, and then a lower payment and interest rate.

We are campfire victims in Northern California who lost our home. Our insurance company sent our house payout check payable to us and Mr. Cooper as they had our mortgage. They were to take out what we owed still and send us back the rest which is a large amount. Knowing we were desperately trying to get another home as ours burned in the fire, we let them know even before sending we would need our part right away as we were putting bids on homes. They assured me they could have it sent out 7 days after they got it. I sent it overnight on Nov. 30. The Texas office got it Dec. 3 cause of the weekend. To make a long story short they sent it to another state to remove funds which finally happened on Dec. 12 and then I called to make sure they were sending it as the last lady I had talked to at that point said they would FedEx it right after they took funds out.
To my absolute horror this apartment now told me they hold your funds 30-45 days before sending YOUR OWN money back to you!! I said that that will not work as we are closing on our new home the end of the month and I’m not losing a second home now!! I have since talked with multiple people and at least 2 supervisors and NO word on when they will send my own money back to me!!! The people in the dept have been nice and supervisor Julian I can tell is doing all she can and I appreciate that, but these upper representatives that are saying people can’t get their own money back for 30-45 days after they get their part out to me is criminal!! I’ve been calling constantly and these people know we need our money to close on our new home and now we might lose that home!!! This is insane and I can’t believe anyone can do this to someone!!!

I have an old 1994 townhouse that needed refurbishing. People with the same situation told me they got money out of their houses through refinancing and that it builds up the equity over 20 years. I have a lot of equity so I decided to use it. My previous loan was transferred to Mr. Cooper from Bank of America and since I didn't wanna go back to square one after paying in 20 years for my house since '94, I went and got a refinance with them. Mr. Cooper gave me a good situation and I went through their process. The interactions I had with their reps were great. There were two people who would call me back to back and they followed up like they were my personal advisers. They took a lot of time out trying to get the loan and I got everything passed through.
I was happy with getting the house renewed but the process with Mr. Cooper was long and drawn out. I was anxious but they explained to me that it was the process. Also, a lot of entities had to be checked on before they gave me some money and they didn't give me what I wanted. I wanted more but I didn't qualify because of my credit. To me, that was not fair. It's my money in the house that i paid for 20 years so they should give me 100% of it. If it's $20,000 you got in after 20 years, you should be eligible for that without going through all the credit score checking. Mr. Copper should try to speed up the process and the people that make up the rules should change them. They should not make it so hard for homeowners to get their money out of 20 years of paying in. Other than that, Mr. Cooper is a good company. They were honest and it didn't look like I was being lied to.

My husband had to have emergency knee replacement in July 2018. We were behind in our payments and they offered us a modification. We made the first payment, but had problems with the second payment clearing the bank. I contacted Mr. Cooper right away and informed them I could not do anything at the bank due to my name was not on the account. Instead of working with me they stop taking any and all payments and have caused us to fall further behind. Now we are posted for the world to see in Pre-order Foreclosure. No one would talk to us nor would they work with us. Even while in a Chapter 13 we don't know what happened to our payments. We are losing our home and they don't care.

Mr. Cooper purchased an existing mortgage that I had. I had purchased the property probably six years ago. So, market top, I was able to pull out the investment I put in, free up the cash, and then keep the underlying equity in the principal. Their reps were very quick and very professional. They didn't try to sell me on anything or push too hard on increasing the mortgage payments or anything along those lines. It was a really solid experience.
I wasn't asked for things more than once and the guidance I received was good. It was truly like a fiduciary type of responsibility where they weren't trying to get me to take on more mortgage than I should. They were suggesting for me to take my time with it and think through, and make sure that if I'm pulling money out, it's for a specific reason and not just to put cash in the bank account. I would recommend Mr. Cooper. The guys did a fantastic job. The whole thing was 14 days from start to finish so it was really quick.

I was in debt from remodeling the house after the hurricane. The insurance didn't cover a lot of stuff so I put it all on a credit card. Then, my wife got pregnant so she stayed at home and wasn't working. We kept using the credit card to remodel the house and I could never get a hold of getting it knocked down. I figured I'd refinance to take care of that. The mortgage representatives I worked with at Mr. Cooper were excellent. The process went very quickly and smoothly. They did everything I wanted. It was great. Since refinancing my loan, my stress level went from a 10 to a two. I would recommend Mr. Cooper.

I actually had a good experience with this company until it came time to make my final loan payment. The website would not let me make the final payment and instead directed me to a payoff amount request section. Oh, for that "service" the fee is $30.00. Shady. You had a good customer, one who intended to be a repeat one, until you wanted thirty bucks to tell me how much I owed you for the last payment. On principal, shady.

Reps don't listen to your complaint. They come up with their own convoluted fix that contradicts your initial request. Give out false info. Then when you call them out they give you attitude. Never tell a customer you don't know. Find out the answer within a timely manner with certainty. Know your prodcuts, give accurate & true info.

I refinanced with Mr. Cooper twice. They put me in charge with the loan officer and I just went through straight away. They were very professional, very diligent and very efficient. They didn't spend a whole lot of time wasting time. I couldn't have been more pleased. They were excellent, the whole way through. I don't have anything that was not positive. I sent the first written request via snail mail on 10/13/18--Brenda called initially telling me I needed a BPO. I sent them the BPO on 10/29/18--I waited a week and a half before I called THEM and found out I needed to send them copy of the broker's license who completed the BPO. Original email that was sent with copy of the broker's license was on 11/7/18, then I think her name was Penny, called and left a voicemail with no details. I called back on 11/12/18 and spoke with Genevi who said she would send this to her supervisor and send an escalation so that someone else could look at BPO and that someone would contact me within 24-48 hrs with details of what else was needed. No one ever contacted me. I had to call them again on 11/16 with same result.
I called them again on 11/20 and finally found out that the form I sent did not say "broker price opinion" anywhere on it. I spoke with the broker who completed the BPO, and he was able to provide me the BPO on an actual Fannie Mae form that states "Residential Broker Price Opinion" at the top. I sent this new BPO form, copy of his broker's license, and pictures of the inside and outside of property that the broker took while doing the BPO. All of this information was sent via email on 11/21. I waited patiently for the 3 weeks thinking that the removal process would take time since all of the information was given in the correct format.
I called to check on the status on 12/12. The guy I spoke with couldn't see where it was ever received. He told me to send it again and that he would send a message to the team lead, and that if I don't hear anything back by 12/18 to call back. I never heard from anyone, so this morning I called and spoke with Candace who couldn't tell me whether or not it was received, but she placed me on hold to get in touch with the team lead. She came back to the phone and told me that the team lead was away from her desk and asked for my number so that she could call me back.
Five hours went by with no phone call. I just got off the phone with Jacob who couldn't give me any information, and he couldn't tell me who the team lead was or find any of their information in any notes. He put in a request to the PMI team to see if they can let me know whether or not they received my request. Every time I call it's a different person. I'm tired of having to explain the situation each time I call. I would love to have a single person that I can talk to instead of having to call customer service number every time and then have to talk to a different person in the PMI department every time. If this isn't resolved soon, then I'm probably going to file a formal complaint and request retroactive reimbursement for each month I'm paying PMI when I have met all the requirements for having it removed.

I have bad experience re: inquiries when I call I don’t hear from the loan officer for days. I tried to call the manager and I have not heard from him either. It’s very frustrating... Unfortunately, it’s too late to refinance again.

My loan was transferred over from my original loan provider to Mr. Cooper. I checked a couple of other places and the ones that I knew of couldn't do as good of a rate. I’m a no-hassle guy and opted to refinance with them. It cost me a lot but I got out of debt. Their reps were professional and perfect. They worked very hard and diligently to meet as many of my requirements as possible. They couldn’t meet them all but the gentleman that I was dealing with initially and I talked for five days before I pulled the trigger. He ran all the numbers, showing me where I could save and how I will save by refinancing and getting out of the credit card debt my wife was in. He did a stellar job selling it.
The guidance I received was a typical salesperson approach and I saw through the red tape. They were doing it as a job but they weren't trying to push me into it. I’ve had people try and do that in the past, and it seems like they were trying to force me and was telling me this is my only option but it’s not. I can stay where I’m at and I could be where I currently was. I would recommend Mr. Cooper.

Repeatedly, they tell me that my payment has been made successfully and will be deducted from my account only to learn again that it did not happen. They say it is a problem with their processing system. Now I keep getting notices for non-payment because of the errors on their system. I did not choose this loan company nor would I. It has been a nightmare since they purchased my loan a few months ago. Customer service is completely unreliable. Their reassurance each time has amounted to nothing but a pile of more stress and time commitment on my end. I would never recommend this company.

I was with another company and they sold my Mortgage to Mr. Cooper. While I was with my other company I had a flood in my basement and had it renovated by professionals. The final sign off were completed with the other Mortgage company. All they had to do was sign the paperwork. Then Mr. Cooper bought our Mortgage - all the paperwork had to be redone and they charged me a fee to inspect the work was completed. They knew it was completed by all the final paperwork and pictures in the file. A real scam! I have called and protested many times and they do not care. They claim it's their process - However I did not ask to be a Mr. Cooper customer and did not sign their forms. Really shady - Find another mortgage company.

I've been doing a lot of moving and I've always thought that were I am is the best place to start when refinancing. I've already had dealings with Mr. Cooper through my loans as my loan was transferred to them. When I call them, they seem to have all the answers and getting ready to work on it. Everything looked like it was gonna go smoothly and that refinancing with them was probably my best option. I went with them and the reps whom I worked with were both very friendly. Their information was really good, and they answered all my questions promptly. Getting the refinance only took a couple of weeks, way faster than we thought it was gonna take. I'd use this company's services again.

I contacted Mr. Cooper to consolidate/refinance my home loan. They worked with me and were wonderful, but could not consolidate my bills. I did get a much better % on my home loan. My original goal was to consolidate all my bills to help ease my monthly payments.

I have tried to set up online access to my account for over six months. Every time I call and explain that I am calling to set up my account from the message that I received on the computer stating to call them because my account is having issues being located I get absolutely nowhere. The most recent call the customer service rep attempted to set up the account and encountered the same issues I did. She referred the issue to IT and still another month later and still no resolution. Countless hours spent on this issue that I don’t have time for.

I had been on short-term disability and my mother passed away in May so I was having some difficulties going through that and from anxiety and depression. I had to take off from work for several months and it was getting to the point where I didn’t have the finances to make my house payment on time. I’ve always paid my bills on time so then I called Mr. Cooper and told them what was going on and that I didn’t know if I was gonna be able to make the next house payment with the house loan I have with them. The rep began to tell me that we could refinance and that’s what we did. The refinance helped me not miss my two payments and I had my first payment due in January, which was perfect because I was told December 17th would be good for me to come back to work, and so I did. Now, I’m being wonderful, praise the Lord.
Mr. Cooper's reps were very attentive to me and willing to help me out as much as possible. My house payment is gonna be a little bit elevated but it’s gonna be fixed. It’s never gonna change for the entire term, which I like because every year, I would worry if it's gonna go up because of property taxes. But now, it’s just a straight 611 every month. I would recommend Mr. Cooper.

Previously, I had a Mortgage with Mr. Cooper and I was very satisfied with them. More recently, I wanted to consolidate some other debt so I talked to them again. Their representative was very helpful and guided me through the whole thing. He was very informative and kept me aware of everything that was going on. The whole process took about three weeks which was very fast. I could also track everything on their website. Consolidating debt through Mr. Cooper was a big help. Furthermore, with my past experience with the automatic payment, it was a very pleasant process.

My experience with Mr. Cooper was awesome. To me they are by far the best Loan Company out there. They are very helpful and friendly and a great company. The two people I worked with on my loan the Loan Officer (Jaclyn **) and the Loan Processor (Nicole **) were absolutely wonderful. They went over and above to help me acheive getting this loan since I wanted to stay with them as my servicer also. Five stars to both of them. But not only that from my past experience with my previous loan with them they have a great customer service team also. They work with you, help you and are there for you. Awesome website also. Would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a new loan.

I had a loan with Nationstar and I had no issues with them. Whenever I called about anything, which wasn’t often, the customer service reps were always Johnny-on-the-spot. So I decided to refinance with Mr. Cooper even though they may not give me the lowest interest rate. They have all my records and it's a lot more convenient. The process was flawless and fast. It wasn't two weeks from the time I said go. In fact, I was thinking something was gonna go wrong because it was too easy. The two people I communicated were Chris, initially, and then his assistant, Kevin, and they were both on the same page. They knew what each other was doing. That’s a good team they've got right there. Those two seemed to be Johnny-on-the-spot too. Mr. Cooper is good and they have done me right so far. I refinanced because I had incurred debt that I wanted to remove and since then, I've paid off those debts that I no longer wanted to pay on.

We inquired about refinancing our old mortgage due to frustration with Citibank. I had been trying to work with them, but they couldn’t seem to pull it together. Eventually, we came to Mr. Cooper late in the process and they made us happy. They're now our loan servicer. It was absolutely easy to get the refinancing done with them. It took two weeks, maybe less, from beginning to end. Considering that I had been at it for 45 days with Citibank, I was certainly ecstatic.
The mortgage professionals that I worked with at Mr. Cooper, Jason and Valerie, took great care of everything, made sure that everything was explained well, and walked me through everything. Jason is on the sales side and Valerie is on the loan processing side. Jason started the process and Valerie closed it out. They both did an excellent job from start to finish. Since refinancing our loan with Mr. Cooper, we don’t have a mortgage payment this month and next month, and that’s always good. Also, we now have the money to do the remodeling and other things that we wanted to do.

I had a loan through Nationstar and they sold my loan. That's how banks are. I didn't have a choice. One bank took the other and it was a depressing experience because I'm not really one who keeps a tack on everything. When Nationstar said they sold my loan, I said okay. But I came to find out that I was not given the same interest rate that I had from the other bank. Points were added to it. Nationstar gave me paperwork but no one told me anything. It's either that or Mr. Cooper changed the prices.
My husband passed away and I refinanced the loan. They kept telling me I had 18 more years and I could get it down to 15 more years for X amount of dollars. But they didn't ever really tell me the closing cost. To this day, I don't know. How I found out what I owed was because somebody asked if I didn't wanna get a life insurance policy on it. And I did. But they didn't give me any paperwork. They just sent me this blank piece of paper and I was supposed to send it to them. It's basically my name, my phone number and my address. I didn't know any information which really bothers me. But I work and I don't take phone calls during the day. So I don't know how I'm supposed to get ahold of these people. 90% don't even have a weekend.
There was just a lack of information. What they do is send you all this paperwork and then ask you to sign it. When you work full time, all you wanna do is sign it. But they should say, "Now, your interest rate's this and your payment's gonna be this because to refinance it, it costs you $3,000.” Also, the housing payment went up, not down. Although I am cutting three years off, that's not that much since I paid $518 and now I'm gonna be paying $560. Supposedly, the interest rate went down but it doesn’t sound like it to me. Financially, I don't know why it went up so high for just three years.
I have been getting screwed ever since my husband passed away. I’m 60 and people see me as a widow. I'm trying not to be gullible. I'm trying not to be stupid but I’ve gotten burned so many times now and he's only been gone exactly one year today. But overall, the experience was not bad. I don't hate them. The people that I worked with seemed very nice and I would recommend them. They just need this information so maybe, with the next person that they're gonna refinance, they would give a little more information.

The processor was excellent. I would have liked to see the loan officer take a more active role, but the process was fairly painless. Rate was fair, we closed on time. I had to call to ask if the funds had been released to me, as no one followed up on it for me.

Everyone I dealt with during the process was nice and help. I just don't like the underwriting process nor the closing process. The underwriting person instead of read the documents they continued to ask the same questions which made no sense. They person that needed to read and ok the closing left for an emergency and didn't tell anyone which let me and everyone waiting for over and hour just for someone to say ok. These two processes need much improvement.

I'm an existing Mr. Cooper customer. I needed some things done around the house, and I figured refinancing would be the best route to go. Everybody was very knowledgeable and everything went very smoothly. The entire process took two weeks, and it was fast. I paid off a few debts, which makes me feel a little better. Since then, I got a new furnace, and then I'm waiting for somebody to do my kitchen. Mr. Cooper is a good company. They worked to our satisfaction.

to make a crammed down through a Bankruptcy 13. During 5 years I paid the Court the agreed amount and I fulfilled the law as it was established in this Bankruptcy to pay for the property. My last payment was in October 11/ 2017. The case was opened until May 9 /2018. Six month more opened in the case that any claim could exist in all parties involved. Mr. Cooper never filed any discrepancies during the period that the case was opened.
Once the bankruptcy was closed I requested my satisfaction of mortgage to Mr. Cooper. In lieu of that when I call the customer service. They say that my case appears opened and Mr.Cooper send me every month a bill that is increasing in spite that all documents have been sent to Mr. Cooper with the proof that the bankruptcy is already closed.
During a bankruptcy the owner pays insurance an taxes but there is in my property an escrow company in taxes public records (I think it belongs to Mr. Cooper because the name changes every few years). Every November 1st, 12.01 minute I have to hurry paying the taxes to avoid this company does it. At last, Mr. Cooper contacted the lawyer that made my Bankruptcy (Patrick **) after 7 months. The Bankruptcy closed requesting me to pay $8,000. Without a solution in the offices of Patrick **, I ask the lady that work for them, that please, request Mr. Cooper a detail invoice of the claim of those $8,000 I have to pay for. In the other side of the phone Mr. Cooper refused to give me details about the payment they are requesting and threatened me to make a foreclosure in my property once again.
It is clear they want to take away my property and they are not going to give the satisfaction of mortgage violating the federal law of bankruptcy. They took all the money that the Court Trustee sent to them during 5 years but they don't give me back my property in spite they know I need the property clear to havesome money for cancer medical treatment. TAKE CARE OF THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE NOT RELIABLE.

I was satisfied at one point then things went downhill. I received checks from the closing company for credit cards that are paid in full. I had been told to show proof so I did. I even went and charged something on a card so I didn't have to get reimbursed for it. I was told by the people who took care of our loan it would be taken care of. No one ever got back to me or answer my calls. I would like if I got some kind of response. Thank you.

My loan was just sold to Mr. Cooper and I really enjoy using the website! It's so easy to use. I always hated logging into my old lender's website because it was difficult to navigate and not very consumer friendly - Mr. Cooper's site is great. I've not yet had any issue with them, so I can't speak for the customer service. So far, I'm pleased!

We were in a chapter 13 bankruptcy due to the way Bank of America did. They gave us a modification, and then they took it back and told us we weren't allowed to have it, even though we've been paying on it for six months. The next thing we knew, it sold to Nationstar. And then right before the bankruptcy got completed, Nationstar changed the name to Mr. Cooper. We wanted to refinance with Mr. Cooper and then they had sold us to somebody else, but we really liked where we were at. So, the other company only had us for 10 days and then we went back.
Mr. Cooper contacted us and sent us letters, and said that they thought they could do better for us, which they did. They took the years off the mortgage but not so much price-wise. The staff was super. They were able to answer all questions and return calls. We just got it done, so we'd make our first payment on January. We had a very good experience overall.

A few months back I chose to refinance my home to pay off an annoying HEL that was becoming more annoying as interest rates rose. After researching a number of sources, I chose to go with Mr. Cooper, who at the time held the mortgage on my home. The experience is worth sharing since I am and have been completely satisfied with the entire experience.
Starting with a reasonable and acceptable interest rate, from beginning to end, Mr. Cooper personnel worked with me, always treating me with respect, even as they gently encouraged me to make appropriate materials available. This is not the first time I have refinanced a home I owned but it certainly was the easiest, most efficient experience I have had. From origination to inspection, to close, Mr. Cooper made the process simple, easy to follow and frighteningly efficient. There were two things I considered critically important: Keep your promises and keep me informed. I was not disappointed.

Mr. Cooper did a great job on my refi. My insurance rate was so high and I’m getting ready to retire, so wanted to get my affairs in order. And Mr. Cooper seemed to give me the best deal for the refinance compared to other providers. Dealing with Mr. Cooper's reps was absolutely wonderful as well. They kept in touch with me, gave me a date and then they beat the date by almost a month. It was a good experience, totally, and I’m perfectly content with it.

I am currently fighting with Mr. Cooper about a shortage in my escrow. This shortage stems from the fact that Mr. Cooper failed to pay my 2017 school taxes that were due in July of 2017. I refinanced in October of 2016 and there was extra money in my escrow (due to them failing to pay my school taxes). The extra money was used toward closing costs. Then in 2018 the letter came that 2017 taxes had not been paid. After spending countless hours on the phone with Mr. Cooper my back taxes get paid out of my current escrow causing a shortage. Now Mr. Cooper wants to up my payment $261/month for their mistake. To top this off at the time of writing this review I have another letter that Mr. Cooper shorted my 2018 school taxes and if I don't pay the shortage my wages will be garnished.
It seems Mr. Cooper can't manage my money. Just for information at the time of my refi based on Mr. Cooper's own appraisal, I had $55k in equity in my home. So had my taxes been paid on time there would still have been no issues with the refi. Now while in this dispute I still get a call or mail almost every day from Mr. Cooper wanting me to refi again due to the equity I have in my home.

I just can't believe how fast and how good Mr. Cooper's staff was. All of them and I mean all of them went out of their way to fix any problems I was having. And my loan wasn't a normal one but they made it so easy. I had tried a couple loan companies and it was such a hassle. I threw in the towel on those loans. I tried Mr. Cooper a few years later and boom it was a done deal. I had to do very little before I knew it. The loan had been granted and I had the loan. These staff members are the best I have ever had in my life. I am a lucky person to have gave Mr. Cooper the chance to show me their staff members was so good it was like lifting 100 pounds off my shoulders. Bottom line you men and women are great. We were looking online about redoing some bills and since Mr. Cooper already had my account, I did a refi with them. Everything was done online and went smoothly. The first phone call was amazing. The first gentleman let me at ease that they could take care of everything, and they did. It was super great. All of them knew what they were doing and took care of everything in a really way more timely fashion than I thought would be available. Dealing with regular mortgages in the past, it seemed to be a long, timed out process. But Mr. Cooper made it really easy with their own line and their calling, and then keeping me updated on what was going on, when it was going on. I never experienced that before, so it was great. Refinancing with Mr. Cooper lowered my monthly payments, and that’s always a good thing. Everything was super. I’d recommend them to anybody.

They would follow up with a call and explain things to me more in-depth. I also spoke with the rep on the regular and he was very knowledgeable. Mr. Cooper bought the mortgage company that I was previously with. My equity in the house and the interest rate that I got led me to inquire about refinancing my old mortgage. So far, I've had a good experience with Mr. Cooper. I talked to the rep, Kyle, and he was very helpful and knowledgeable on what he was talking about. He worked very hard to get us what we needed, so we stayed with Mr. Cooper. Kyle is an awesome guy. He was very responsive and diligent, and I can’t say enough about him. Josh was our refinance guy and he was great too. The whole process went quickly and took three weeks at the most from beginning to end, from the time that we inquired about the refinance, went through the paperwork, had the young lady out to sign papers, and then we were done. Everything has been great with Mr. Cooper and everybody that I’ve talked to there has been wonderful to deal with.

The initial person we spoke with at Mr. Cooper was very knowledgeable. We got comfort on the reason why it would be beneficial to us and it did seem beneficial. So we went ahead. It seemed like the right thing to do at the right time. The person I was in contact most with was Mary and she was really on top of things. The communication was very good. She was very involved and I never had a question unanswered. On the other hand, we didn't know how much we were earning until it was brought to the table and how much money it would really cost to refinance the debt that we had acquired in the home. But in the long run, it seemed like the refi has worked for us so far. Refinancing helped with debt consolidation and I would recommend Mr. Cooper.

Loss draft - Mr. Cooper has no compassion for flood victims. Holds back your insurance money, you cannot get your damaged home repaired. It will take months. Meanwhile you have no home to live in and still have to pay your mortgage. I would never recommend them to anyone. As soon as I can I will remortgage my home with a better more understanding company.

Incorrect fees when loan went from Aurora Loans to Nationstar. Mr. Cooper is working with me to correct the loan payments that were not credited when the mortgage company went from Aurora Loan Services to Nationstar. Has anyone else had this problem? I refinanced with Mr. Cooper and they've been a lot of help. My uncle has used them for all of his house loans and he gave me some pointers on talking to them. Still, what made me decide to use Mr. Cooper was the guy whom I talked to. He acted like he wanted to help, was very helpful and he was open to answering all my questions. During the refinancing process, the people at Mr. Cooper were very friendly and I could always get in touch with somebody. They called and touched base with me every day just to make sure that everything was still going right. They broke down any little question I had to where I understood it. Overall, I've had a great experience with Mr. Cooper. Everything worked great with the company.

I did a refinance with Mr. Cooper and had a really good experience with them. Things went smoothly with me and their rep and the refi options were explained well. Everything was very transparent and everybody whom I talked to seemed to know what they were talking about. The refi actually closed faster than anticipated and it was a pretty simple process. I submitted four documents, one explanation of residency, and that was it. Since refinancing, I've already started on the repairs needed for my home.

My mom had been thinking about refinancing her old mortgage so she could pay off some bills, pay some credit card bills, and get additional money to do some things that she wanted to do. Then, we backed off of refinancing. But when we got a phone call from Mr. Cooper, everything that they presented to us sounded good. So, we went ahead and pursued the opportunity to refinance. By the time that we got to the point where everything was laid out on the table, we decided that it would be the best option for my mom to do.
Vic was the person that I was in contact with at Mr. Cooper and he was very professional. He handled all of our concerns when we had a question. We also dealt with Nolan who was very professional as well and also handled the questions that we had during the process. The whole process took less than a month from beginning to end. Since refinancing with Mr. Cooper, my mom has not had those additional debts and she was able to use some of the money on things that she wanted to do with the house.

I refinanced my home to have my ex removed from the account. All representatives have been very courteous but not helpful. It took quite some time to get my name corrected on my account. However the correct paperwork was never completed or processed to correct my name on the property tax. I divorced and went back to my maiden name in July 2013 and submitted every document know to man to prove my name however they failed to get the property tax corrected. I should NOT have to pay for a quit claim to change my name as this should've been handled by their closing attorneys. Each time I email or call they are very polite and say "they are working on it" or "someone will be in touch" but it never happens. I'm literally at wit's end and very disappointed.

My first experience with this company came when my mortgage was sold to them. I had never heard of Mr. Cooper so I was leery. About a year later, I decided that I wanted to pull some equity out of my house. I just so happened to get an email from Mr. Cooper about that very subject. So I gave them a call. Since the beginning, everyone that I dealt with explained what was going to happen, when it would happen and why. There were no surprises, which is all you can ask for. After the process got started, I read all the negative Yelp reviews, and I was very worried. But now, I can't believe people are talking about the same company that I've been dealing with. I have absolutely nothing but positive things to say about my experience during my refinance. I will gladly use them again in the future.

I originally had my VA backed mortgage with Bank of America got a modification due to being injured and medically retired/separated from the military. I did my modifications with BOA which was on auto pay and then my account was sold to Mr.Cooper in June of 2017. I got a letter from Mr.Cooper saying that my account was late for $1275, which would’ve been correct had they been providing me with homeowners insurance. I paid them for 2 months until I got a letter from USAA saying that they were going to cancel all of my insurances if I didn’t pay the premium in full because they never received payment from my escrow. But then it got even more fun, I had to $3098.00 and Mr. Cooper told me to have USAA contact them and the funds would be credited to my account.
USAA contacted them and sent them the paid in full notice. Now remember I said my account was set up on Auto Pay with BOA, that’s 1 month for $1275.00 and $3098.00 credit and the $215 x 2 payment towards escrow for homeowners insurance that they never paid for. I should’ve had a credit for $4803.00. Now in normal people’s minds if I have a credit I’m good especially if it’s supposed to be more than 3 months worth of payments of $1020.00 I double payment. That definitely wasn’t the case, I get a notice of foreclosure exactly three months later saying that I needed to pay $3200.00 to avoid foreclosure due to failure to follow my modification.
So in short I let them have the house after owning it for 10 years. You figured that would be the end of it, after they sold the house and the VA made them whole! No, I have an open account on my credit report a year later with a balance of $207.814. I sent them letters and they refused to change it and said it was reported correctly. STAY AWAY from them, they’re crooks and don’t know what they’re doing!! They’ll soon find out that the Law and Rules of fair credit reporting due apply to them because you have to follow the laws of the state for which the property is purchased.

My husband passed away three years ago and I was struggling. All I have are Social Security and Veteran’s benefits because we had to close the business. I was going to sell, and then I thought, “What’s the use of selling?” I’d still have house payments, I still have a yard. I would prefer to stay here, but I needed some cash. My home loan was taken over by Mr. Cooper and when they made the offer, I went with it and it’s been wonderful for me.
Both the lady that handled all the transactions and the gentleman that first spoke to me were outstanding. They answered questions, they got back to me and there wasn’t any waiting. I’ve had some very high-powered jobs and I’m hard to please, but they did a good job and they pleased me. They were very open with me, and I appreciated that. I did checking as I went along, so it was not just me taking them at their word. I went over stuff and they were absolutely honest and straightforward. My house payment is a little bit more as the refinancing extended it two years, but I’m saving about $3,000 a month overall because I paid off my car and the credit cards that I had. I would recommend Mr. Cooper to anyone.

My previous mortgage company sold my mortgage to Mr. Cooper. My nightmares began when Mr. Cooper reassessed my Escrow. I pay my own homeowners insurance, flood insurance, and taxes... I should have no escrow applied to my mortgage. Without any notification, Mr. Cooper applied $700 to my monthly mortgage. I called several times and even sent a letter with explanations that I should not have an escrow. All fell on deaf ears... They continue to charge me escrow monies. This has put me in a financial bind. This mortgage company should be out of business and not allowed to continue.

My husband was attending school in 2016 and made no income, so I was paying for our mortgage, on time and everything. We were tired of the runaround Nationstar was giving us of getting our FHA removed after being with for 6 years. So we went to a different and better Mortgage Company in January 2017. We no longer have to deal with poor customer services, spam calls of refinancing.
Guess who decides to report an estimated income on my husband who had no income and was a student for year 2016? Mr. Cooper, the former Nationstar, $95,780 because that's what my state person said reported it. State tax board "Nationstar reported your estimated income to be that because that how much money it would take to pay your monthly mortgage." Mr. Cooper have poor ratings, and this 4-star rating is false, just look elsewhere. Google lawsuit Nationstar and Mr. Cooper, they're hiding from their previous name for a reason.

I had an adjustable-rate mortgage, and I decided to refinance. I was trying to adjust the mortgage I already had and make it have a fixed rate. So, I called Mr. Cooper which was my previous lender. Their customer service reps were friendly and helpful. I asked if I could get a 20-year loan fixed. They told me the rate which was comparable to everywhere else I called and so I told them that we should do the paperwork. I would recommend Mr. Cooper to others.

Made online payment within grace period terms 2 weeks ago. They don't apply payments then charge late fees. Have tried for days to find out why. Calls don't go through and voice messages to staff (whose numbers I found) and emails get ignored. This is a very frustrating company to deal with. Beware!

We wanted to cash out some of our equity and Mr. Cooper already carried our loan. So since it was just a lot easier and more convenient, we went with them for a refinance. Plus, they had about the same deal as everybody else when I shopped around. The rep that was helping me was great to work with. He was very informative and helpful. We had a lot of issues but he worked through them. Since refinancing with this company, we were able to pay some debt that we had.

We wanted to consolidate some debts, so we looked into refinancing our old mortgage. But, our main reason for doing the refi was to get a cash-out to get a vehicle. We also got a lower rate when we got the second mortgage combined, and that was much cheaper. I did the car buying process in two days. The rep I worked with at Mr. Cooper was absolutely wonderful and personable. She helped us with any questions we had and if she didn’t have the answer right then, she got back to me very quickly. It was nice to have a couple of credit cards paid off, and thank goodness, we have not used those credit cards. Mr. Cooper really helped us out a lot.

I received a letter from Mr. Cooper about a 5-day lapse in insurance coverage. This was obviously just a mistake by the insurance company on the start date of the new policy. Mr. Cooper sent 3 letters and a $4.00 fee for the lapse of coverage. They asked me to call them if I have questions. So I did call and had to be transferred to a manager.
The manager told me that it was a small error, but that they would indeed charge me $4.00 for the mistake my insurance company made if I didn't get the error corrected. Even though the lapse was in the past, not intentional and costing both me and Mr. Cooper more to discuss than it was worth. REALLY, no grace period or oversight for such a minor mistake. Everyone lost money talking about how ridiculous this was. Yet, no one a Mr. Cooper could do anything to override such a "NONE" issue. In my opinion, this is the type of company you want to avoid. A customer service department with no ability to provide true customer service.

Although the process is fairly easy, I found the number of fees and charges a bit overwhelming. Everything was clear and above board but the little add-on charges really added up. Ms. Julie ** was extremely professional and took the time to explain what I did not understand and was extremely patient with me when I got overwhelmed. For the past 5 months I have been trying to modify my home loan. Due to circumstances beyond my control, my hours were cut by half at work. I have a one year old baby and things are tightening up around the house. I figured I would give Mr. Cooper a call and ask for advice and some help. Mr. Cooper is my third bank after Nationstar and Freedom Mortgage have sold and passed the loan down to each other. Getting back to my experience with Mr. Cooper, I called them because my income has been slashed by half. I didn’t qualify for a home refinance to lower my monthly payments or obtain some cash back to help me out with expenses during my hardship. So, they suggested that I apply for a loan modification due to my current hardship. I thought this was a great idea. But it turns out that they don’t really want to help me.
I obtained all the applications necessary to get the process started from them in their website. Affidavits, copies of tax returns, the whole package was filled up and uploaded into their website. But it seem like I will never finish uploading documents. Every two weeks or so I receive a call from a representative from Mr. Cooper asking me for a piece of document that I have already sent to them. It is either an updated document or an application that has expired due to the extensive lengthy period of time this process is taking.
On top of being desperate because of my financial situation, I’m also annoyed at their responses when I call to obtain updates information on the case. They keep reminding me that I have a government insured loan, which I don’t understand what that has to do with anything. But after speaking with friends and family I was told that banks like Mr. Cooper gamble on loans like mine. The government is backing my loan, which means that if I default Mr. Cooper won’t lose its money. And on top of that they will foreclose my home and have a win-win situation. Now, why will they help me modify my loan and keep my property? It’s a question that I just told you the answer to. Don’t work with Mr. Cooper, avoid at any cost doing business with this entity. I did not have a choice as my loan was sold and passed on from Freedom Mortgage.

Bart ** and Linh ** were excellent to work with. Their knowledge was amazing and their communication skills were reassuring and sensitive to needs of the customer. I did share a concern with them my issues with the online closing company in Clearwater, Florida. The representative named Kyle, who phoned me was rude and almost threatening with his remarks. Saying if the form was not signed I could lose the loan. The local notary I worked with was most gracious and knowledgable.
There was a IRS tax release form that we both failed to note the signature line in the middle of the page. The notary and I met within an hour of Kyle's call to me in which Kyle indicated she was not cooperating with him to correct the issue. I phoned Kyle back to let him know the form had been signed. He was not receptive to my suggestion on how to possibly prevent this in the future. He was still rude and not customer friendly. I would hope this was an isolated situation. Thanks again for Bart and Linh's customer concern.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Mr. Cooper. I needed to make some improvements to my house. I then worked with Kevin who was wonderful. He walked me right through the process. He made it so very easy. It took no time at all to upload my documents. In addition, he told me what to pay and what to wait on. It worked out beautifully. Since refinancing my mortgage, I would be able to add a bathroom to my house. Overall, Mr. Cooper has customer service reps who are very professional and responsive as far as the email and checking in on me to see if I needed anything. I was looking to do some home improvement around here and I knew I had a lot of equity in the house. I thought I’d take just a little bit and spruce up the place a little bit. So I got in touch with Mr. Cooper and told them what I wanted to do, and then I got some numbers. I let it go for a little bit then I went back and got in contact with them again. Carlos got things rolling along and then turned me over to another guy. They kept me informed all the way through, and everything was spectacular. I signed up for their automatic withdrawal on my checking account. But I had to cancel that one and I re-signed up for the new one. My experience with Mr. Cooper was a lot smoother. The guy had my phone number, he called me or he sent me an email, and I answered it. If there was something that needed to be online signed, I did, and sent it back to him.

After refinancing with Mr. Cooper and not having even making my first payment, I received notice my escrow is SHORT almost $3000. This is something I cannot afford and would have never refinanced knowing this. There obviously is an error and I am having a VERY hard time getting it corrected. Since this is an investment property, my county is required to pay the taxes once a year. Kim ** insured me via e-mail that was done. Please look into research ticket# ** with a due date of November 20th, 2018.

Within the past few weeks, I had contacted Mr. Cooper with a question. The answer led to the rep asking me if they could help us with a refi to which I said, I didn't think so. Well, I was wrong. Our loan was refi'd within 10 days from start to completion gaining us over $600 every month. That was incredible as my husband had retired last December. We were really grateful that rep went above and beyond what was necessary that day.

My experience with Mr. Cooper was great. We wanted to remodel within our condo and since we’ve already had history with Nationstar and knew the process from previous refi, working with them made the transition easy. We just made the call to get the refi process started and things went great - all the paperwork, back and forth, emails to fill out. Any question we had was answered quickly, professionally and they left no doubt on how whatever situation was gonna turn out. In this particular experience, closing with them was smoother than ice. Since doing the refi, we were able to pay off some lingering debts and we are now actively working with two or three individuals on getting quotes for the remodel. I had refinanced my mortgage a year and a half ago and ended up with Mr. Cooper. I was talking to them about a problem that I had, and the woman that I was talking to told me that I had the opportunity to refinance if I wanted to consolidate my bills. They sent me the electronic documents so that I could sign it all, and everything was done electronically. I had all the information that I needed that I could download and send to them, and it was a very smooth transition. Each step of the way if I had a question, I could email them and they would answer that question for me. Everything works perfect. The process took a little bit over a month. It went very fast and I was very impressed with it. Hopefully, it's gonna let me retire soon as I what I had planned on, because now that I had consolidated my bills and those are all taken care of, my mortgage is not going up. I would recommend Mr. Cooper to anybody.

They were already my mortgage company, but if I didn’t get the response that I did when I inquired - from the gentleman who answered the phone to the woman who continued and carried it through - I wouldn’t have stayed with them. Two days after my normal monthly loan payment was processed, I made a very large principal payment. I was very deliberate stated 'THIS IS A PRINCIPAL ONLY PAYMENT'. When the payment was posted, monthly interest was deducted and the remainder was applied to principal. Mr. Cooper's loan processor took two interest payments for in the same month! I review my statement online, saw the attempted THEFT, called Mr. Cooper, and had them correct the error. It is not a coincidence that lending institutions always make mistakes in their favor! I would give Mr. Cooper 1 star for this deliberate deception/attempted THEFT, but their staff was polite, so two stars...

I purchased a central heating and air conditioning system two years ago and I’ve been paying out for two years but not getting anywhere because of the interest. I knew I have quite a bit of equity in my home so much that I could pay the thing off, so I reached out to Mr. Cooper to do the refi. I was a customer of Nationstar Mortgage, so they have a lot my information already and it made it more simple for me. I had a wonderful experience with Mr. Cooper. I worked with both David and Eddie and I told them at the end of the process that I couldn’t believe how simple it was. I’ve applauded them both. I’ve refinanced in the past with different companies and those times were never as fluid as my experience with Mr. Cooper. The process was normally a nightmare but with Mr. Cooper, it was marvelous and very well done.
I was also very pleased with the guidance I received from them. They gave me my options, answered my questions, and it went very well. As I was chatting with David, he suggested that I take care of a high interest credit card that I also had. So I wiped that out and now, I’m in a very nice position as far as not having those extra payments. If you're considering Mr. Cooper for a refinance, do it. You’ll be very happy.

I had my loan with somebody else and Mr. Cooper bought the loan. I refinanced it with Mr. Cooper since I already had a relationship with them, and they could do it easier and cheaper. The first fellow I talked to was Richard and he was really, really good. Then I had somebody else who I don’t think was as good, but got it done. We didn’t get some information from her, and we had to go back to Richard to get some few things cleared up. But it was nothing major. We went ahead and did the deal. She didn’t seem to be as experienced as he did. Mr. Cooper also had a notary come to the house and go through all the paperwork when we signed it, and that was excellent. He was great. The whole process was straight-up.
One thing that I was a little bit upset about was when we first signed up for this, they told us we would be able to skip two payments, November and December. When it got right on down to it, we are only able to skip one payment. That was troubling to me. We did this so we could pay off a bunch of debt with a lower percentage rate. That extra month was gonna give me another leg up, with that $2,000, to pay off a bunch of more stuff, but now I don’t have that ability. But we had already gone through all the hassle of doing it that it doesn’t really matter if they skip a payment. It isn’t like they’re not getting their money, because it just shifts it two months, and that was a irritation to me. It almost felt like they told me what I wanted to hear to get me signed up.

They were very knowledgeable, helpful, and I didn’t have any problems with them. In the end, I was able to pay off some debts which was why I did it in the first place. Also, my APR dropped not much but my note went up.

I've had a loan with Mr. Cooper for quite a few years and I refinanced the latest loan I had with them. The representatives were really awesome. We did a cash-out refi and I've paid off all my bills with it. I had some credit cards that had some high-interest rates and the representative helped me calculate what all I should pay off. There was a couple of options that we could do and she walked me through all of the steps and helped me figure out, which loans and credit cards I needed to pay off first.
The rep and I talked a lot, and the process went really fast. We closed in less than a month from start to finish. The rep got the paperwork back and forth really quickly. Everything could not have gone more smoothly. I'm completely debt-free now. And so, I'm saving a lot in monthly payments and in interest. So, now, I only have my two health payments and a vehicle payment. It's been amazing. I'd definitely put other people in contact with Mr. Cooper. I've already told a couple of people about how smooth my experience went.

We wanted to pay down some debt and do some upgrades to the house. We did a refinance and went with Mr. Cooper as we already had a loan with them. It would be easier to go with who we already have. Everybody was very helpful. The initial woman that I spoke to was very descriptive and let me know how the whole process was gonna work. Then I worked with Angelique and we worked very well together and got everything that we needed together. It was a smooth process. We went over what was best for my husband and I. It was very helpful and they didn't hold anything back. Everything that I needed and all the descriptions of everything was perfect.
With the cash we took, we paid off everything, even our two car loans. So, I put the down payment to build a privacy fence. We're getting the house painted and also have some money left in the bank. We're very happy. My score wasn't as high as what we thought it was so we still ended up having to go with FHA. But we're gonna pay it for a year. And then we are gonna do another refi with Mr. Cooper so we can get rid of the mortgage insurance. We are very grateful for the help that Mr. Cooper gave us and I will recommend them to friends and colleagues in the future.

I had Citibank then all of a sudden, they must have sold the mortgage to Mr. Cooper, so it was transferred over. Mr. Cooper was fine, and they seem to stay on top of everything. The guidance was good. The one thing that I don’t understand, and it’s really not a big deal, is that the first gentleman that I talked to told me that once my mortgage was completed, I wouldn’t have to pay for one of the months. The October one was due on November 1 and I paid that so I figured I probably won’t get another one until mid-December for January 1. About a week and a half before I normally get my mortgage statement, I got one that was due on December 1 already so I'm wondering where my free month is. But since refinancing with them, I was able to pay off my credit cards. I had a huge doctor bill that I had to put on one of my credit cards and I was able to pay that off.

I’m a widow and I live on my social security, and I have 11 grandchildren. I called Mr. Cooper to see if they have a program where I could skip a payment and add along at the end until I’ve had some extra money for Christmas. The rep I talked to checked and he said, “I think we can help you.” And he was the one that came up with refinancing, to make my payments lower and make it easier for me year-round, not just at Christmas.
The people at Mr. Cooper have been very nice, very helpful, and considerate to me, and they wanted to get things done as quickly as possible so that I can have the extra cash at Christmastime, which was wonderful. The whole thing took a couple of weeks. I had to find my husband’s death certificate, which had been put away for so long. I also had to send them copies of bank statements, but the process went very smoothly. They called me several times to tell me, “We’re doing the best we can. As soon as you get that to us, that’s all we need, and you’ll be ready and we can sign.” It was very easy.

I already had a mortgage through Mr. Cooper and I've never had any problems with them. I refinanced and decided to try with them first, and everything worked out. It was a very quick and easy process. We handled everything on the computer and it was wonderful. From beginning to end, the process was about three weeks. Their reps were very professional and helpful. They kept in touch with me every other day, and they answered all of my questions professionally and thoroughly. They did a really good job.
I had already made up my mind what I wanted to do and how I wanted to handle it. I told that to the reps at Mr. Cooper and they gave me what I wanted. I would not have refinanced if I had had any other option. My house is close to 50 years old and the air conditioner tore up. It was a large sum of money to replace the unit, and I needed cash. Refinancing was the best option for me. I had six years left to pay on this mortgage and it's out to 10 now. I was paying 7.5% interest and I didn't do anything about it mainly because I wanted to get it paid off. I didn't want to refinance but when I was forced to, my interest rate went way down. So, my house payment went down about $200 a month and that was great.

I had a previous mortgage with Mr. Cooper and I didn't have any issues with them. I went with a refi and wanted to go with the same company. I didn't like the fact that other loans were being sold back and forth and I was told that Mr. Cooper doesn't sell. I also like how Mr. Cooper's website was really easy to navigate. During the refinance, the guidance was good. I knew what was the next step the whole time and I was updated if there was anything that was further needed. I started it mid-September and I closed the first week of October. It was really quick. TJ was very friendly. He was knowledgeable and he answered all the questions that I had. And he's very laid-back and had a down-to-earth personality. Kate was also the same way. She was very easy to deal with and very knowledgeable.
I like the fact that the lady that came to do the closing documents was able to meet me pretty much anywhere I wanted. I thought that was very convenient versus taking time off of work to go to a site to sign papers. She was able to come to my house at 8:00 p.m., a time that I never expected anyone to be available. The interest rate was actually higher since the market right now is higher. But from refinancing, I was able to get my ex-husband's name off the house I was awarded after the divorce.

I was with Nationstar and my old mortgage was refinanced by Mr. Cooper. I have a lot of properties and I wasn't allowed to change my mortgage plan or refinance alone. Mr. Cooper has allowed that and worked on many approvals. I had to open an online account with them and I checked paperless which was a mistake. I have to track them! So, I don't want them paperless as I want to have them in my little hands and I'm trying to fix that.
The representatives who helped during the refinance were awesome. Not everyone understands issues that are involved when someone has so many properties. It's very complicated but they understood the issues. Matt and Caroline were very good and I knew what I needed to have. I'm also gonna bring them another loan from outside and see how they'd do on that.

We called our mortgage holder, Mr. Cooper, for a refi because that was all we knew about. Then the representative suggested that we put the balance of the car and the furniture store in there as well. But we were flying blind. We didn’t know anything so we accepted whatever he said. But then I got to thinking if he could have given us more options. Somebody had also failed to get the current balance of our car loan and it caused a lot of unnecessary upset for two older people. When we went through the process, we were in over our heads with all this stuff that had to be done through the internet. But we managed and they were very helpful. They wanted us to take mortgage insurance though. We’re not going to and yet we keep getting all these papers. I’ve got about two dozen now. But overall, the experience was very good. My husband and I enjoyed it very much.
