It was quick on my end, but the representative was slow. Everything took too long, and there was too much signing of paperwork. Everything took a week to get back to me. Everything was filtered between six or seven different parties before everything was proper to get back to me. So, it was two and a half months as opposed to what could have been a month. On top of the fact, the rep went on vacation for a week in the middle of the loan process, and winded up with some other guy named Michael. He was good about it. I emailed him, he emailed me right back. He responded immediately. I asked him a question, he answered it right away. The previous rep had the refinance information incorrect. She assumed that the land was tied to it. But the entire time, including the initial finance, the land was never attached to it. That's why everything took so much longer. And that was when Michael corrected it. Don't do it.

My experience was terribly difficult. The loan officer was somewhat helpful. But the information that I got from him is that it seemed unclear to the underwriters how to structure the loan. And if you're an underwriter, that's something you should know how to do. It was a constant request for the same documentation over and over again, in different forms.
On 21st Mortgage's website, they've got all these positive reviews, and nobody seemed to know what they were doing. It took forever. It was a relatively simple loan. I knew the documentation that they needed. And every time I would submit something, it would be, "Oh, no. We don't want it in that form. We want it in a different form." And the loan officer was, "I guess there's nothing we can do. We just have to give it to them." He was nice enough. I felt like dealing with a used car salesman. "Oh, I'll talk to my manager and see if we can do that." Three weeks of back and forth. The age discrimination thing is completely horrendous. I'm over 65. So, they told me that I couldn't have a 20-year mortgage. I can only have an 18-year one. That's illegal. They can't do it.
Also, the rates are outrageous. There are personal loans that I can get for lower interest rates. They also offer a reduction of half a percentage point. I bought a mobile home and my mobile home park will fill out a form allowing them access to the property should there be a default, among other conditions. Then they will offer a half a percent discount. And that's the rate that they quote. And you get to the end of the loan process and it's, "The mobile home park won't sign this form.” No one will. So, I ended up with a loan product that was a half a percentage point higher. Shop around much more than I did. But the loan products that I got has to do with the rates.

My experience with 21st Mortgage was a little stressful and a little aggravating because they would ask for documentation, we would send it to them, and then the documentation wasn't good enough or because it was typed up and it was worded in some way, they wouldn't accept it. We have to get it re-typed and worded the way that they wanted it. It was back and forth. It was a little bit annoying in that aspect. We had to wait and wait and go through their little process. Their reps were very polite on the phone. It was just jumping through multiple loopholes for what seemed like no reason because of wording most of the time was the biggest thing.

I applied on a Friday and Monday, I received a response. The rep was great. I was able to access him whenever I had a question regarding the documents. I was comfortable working with 21st. The terms could have been better but that’s okay. I can always refinance.

Working with 21st Mortgage wasn’t superb, but it was alright. The only thing I really don't like that wasn't discussed in detail was how the home insurance goes. We know that you got to pay the first year upfront, which we did but when we were going over the details, they didn't say, “Hey, you'll still be paying home renters insurance even though you paid a year upfront.” They couldn't explain to me why. They can't price what we'll be paying next year. What if we end up changing and wanting to go with a bundle deal? Yet, they're still charging us monthly for a prorated next years’ home insurance. So, that part annoyed me. No one would give me an answer, and getting a call back regarding that issue was like pulling teeth from an alligator. I really still don't know why we're still paying that even though we paid a whole year.
We did try going through 21st before, and the prior rep was very nice. 21st was very patient with us but this time around, it was a different situation. With the whole house insurance thing, I feel like we got robbed in a sense. Once this year is up, I'm gonna probably go with someone else. I'm very interested how 21st will reallocate all those funds that we’re paying this current month. The people that own the land signed the consent where we get a .5% deduction on our interest. That did not go accordingly. After we got that reduction, 21st re-altered the price, and then the interest was way up higher. It doesn't make sense to me because the loan amount went way down by 10,000 on top of getting that consent signed. So, that was a little annoying.

I've been a broker for going on 20 years in Washington State and have dealt with more lenders than I can count and I can honestly say that Joy ** was one of the best. She always respond promptly to my calls or emails. She provided proof of exactly the steps she had taken when the transaction turned bad and closing was delayed thereby proving to my utmost satisfaction that the problems that happened were in fact caused by the escrow company here in Washington and NOT by her or her firm. She went above and beyond in my opinion in trying to keep everything on track and done in a timely manner. I will definitely recommend Joy to my clients when they need a manufactured home loan.

When Oak Creek Home refused to return my calls about getting the repairs done after setting up my home Matthew with 21st went above and beyond to help with getting oak creek to contact me. It took him 1 day and oak creek called me. After me placing over 50 calls to them with no return call. I would recommend 21st to everyone looking to get a mortgage.

We were given a list by the manufacturer's homeplace that we bought our home through and we picked 21st Mortgage as it was the best one we could find. The first step was getting pre-approved, just getting them to pay stubs, and then we didn't have to do a whole lot. We had a little bit of trouble with our land because we were buying it and it wasn't in our name so that held the process up a little bit until that could actually be put in our name. But other than that, besides getting the documents that were requested, the time frame was great. We started in November and we were in our house in January. Everything went well.

I had a feeling of what everything would entail. The rep was very polite. She told me exactly what I needed. They said, "Here, we need your check stubs. We need to verify employment." There was a little hiccup where they miscalculated something. They fixed it fast.

The mortgage process was fine, but the appraiser took over 60 days to get an appraisal in and it had to be corrected twice. Also, I would love to have had a lower rate. Then I ran across somebody on Saturday who told me he could get me 5. I paid 6.3. I said, "You know, I'm not gonna mess with anything. I'll take it as it is." But he understood the terms and what it was about and he said he does have a guy who could do it a bit less expensive and the rates because he said he got it for me for 5%. Everybody at 21st was wonderful in every way. They're responsive, professional and caring.

The salesman put me on 21st Mortgage because he kept saying how hard it was them. And I said, “I wanna see. Let's go for it.” Just a challenge. But I enjoy having the loan with them. The reps from 21st Mortgage were very responsive. If I would call them or leave them a voicemail, they would reach out to me right away. At first, I had issues with my credit, but they were always very helpful with whatever I needed. I spoke to several people and all of them were the same. But the process took around three months and it would have been great if it didn't take that long. However, most of it was because of the place where I was getting the mobile home from because whenever it came to 21st Mortgage, I was able to send the information that they needed from my phone on my email. So, I was able to update the information faster directly with them than through the mobile home place.

Applying with 21st Mortgage was pretty easy. We came home and we did it on our computer, then we were approved in the next morning. The application and underwriting took about a week and it was two weeks before we closed. The process was quick. The reps we worked with were helpful and if we had questions, they answered them. If they needed anything from us, they let us know, and if we were missing something, we got it in as soon as we could. I was comfortable working with them and the service was very satisfying.

The process was fairly smooth. It was a little slow getting paperwork. But one of the big things that I struggled the most with was employment verification. Employment and wages verifications use a third party to obtain that information, but the company I work for will not provide it. 21st Mortgage will not leverage that third party organization. They flat out refused. So I had to wait two full weeks until I get another paycheck stub to provide 21st Mortgage with proof of employment and wages. But my loan officer was fairly nice. He was friendly and helpful enough. He was a fairly responsible one. He would tell me, “I'll check with so and so,” and get back with me. Overall, 21st Mortgage improved my mortgage and I was able to get the loan. I've also paid them off. So that was even the better part.

I love 21st Mortgage. The interest rate was good and they acted more like they cared about the people. I was telling them my situation and what was going on and I didn't have any problem with them. They called and were very patient because when I was going through the process, I was sick. They got back with me really quickly and I was very satisfied with them. I also like the way they put your insurance in with your note and that's something I know will get paid for sure every month in with my mortgage.

Every time I called my loan officer, Teresa, always answered the phone and answered all my questions. If I needed something, she got it to me. Once 21st Mortgage received everything that they needed, they set up getting someone to come out and do the appraisal. This was the first time I ever bought a mobile home so had a little bit of challenge. But other than that, it wasn't bad.

When we originally bought the house in my daughter's name two years ago, 21st Mortgage was recommended. When I purchased it off my daughter, I decided it would be easier to stay with them since they had all the documents. The only mess up was the loan officer was saying one thing, but the other people were still asking for the same documents that he already had. They kept emailing us, wanting us to finish sending documents.

I received an investment loan for a modular home from 21st Mortgage. This was my third investment property I have purchased and my overall fifth home I have purchased. This company was the absolute worst in all aspects by far. This was also the smallest loan I have ever taken out and with the best credit I have also ever had 800+.
Their lack of communication makes me wonder how they are still in business. Not only to me the buyer but internally. I would call and leave voice mails, email, and messages with other people in the company that I needed to talk to someone and it would be days before I would get a response if at all! The crazy amount of documentation and paperwork "needed" by them to write my loan contract was absolutely absurd. Even THEIR OWN forms were not good enough for them! I had to edit their PDFs for them in order to add attritional information! Yes, edit their PDFs. They had me do it! I am not even going to get into the hassle from them with the previous owners or the legal office we used for the closing. But it was all trash and very poorly run. So in conclusion, I would not ever recommend anyone ever use this company.

There were several back-and-forths with the auditors, which were frustrating, but all eventually worked out. 21st Mortgage was very demanding about what they needed. They were very insistent about needing my own letter saying that my other house in another city is paid for. That was frustrating to me. I never spoke to anybody in person. It was always email and that's not exactly the best way to do it. I was getting an email from one person. He noted that he would be gone for a weekend but there was no notice that anybody else would follow up while he was gone. That would have been a little more helpful and made me not stressed about what would happen if something changed between then and after.

The 1 bright spot was loan originator. She was usually very helpful. Although still never once actually spoke to her. They constantly changed terms over the almost 5+ months process. Only to tell me almost 3 months in that they could only finance a percentage of the original purchase price from 12 years ago??? Not the 230k+ it was appraised for. They did eventually close and it was a means to an end but would not recommend unless no other choice.

21st Mortgage was very good, except for the fact that Ken, who was handling our loan, was very poor when it came to keeping track of the paperwork. Multiple times, he came to us and our realtor saying he didn't receive something, even though we had proof that we sent it to them. It was right before the holidays and I think he was already on vacation because he was taking two weeks off. Other than that, the whole process was pretty quick. At the time, there were a lot of other things going on but the process was completed within six weeks from start to finish.

I've had a good experience with 21st Mortgage and Ryan, the mortgage officer who helped me, made it easy and smoother. When we got the list of what we needed to do, at first, I thought we would be able to get through the process and then take each piece by piece as we got it, but he didn’t explain that he needed every single piece. So, we took way longer than we needed to get the process going. There could have been more clarification on how quick it needs to be coming in to get the process going. But working with Ryan for the most part was simple and he explained everything for me when I had questions.

The paperwork when I did everything online and got the packet sent to me, it was a lot of stuff 21st Mortgage could have handled that they should be handling instead of me. Since I went through 21st Mortgage, I have had to go and get, pay off, close, and stuff that they already have that they can get. I travel for work, so it was very inconvenient for me. The whole time that I was doing it, I had to at least take off five days of work just to get that situated. It would also take me a while to get on the phone with the rep. When I started talking to him about everything, there were some stuff that came up, and he got an attitude with me a couple of times. I was trying to tell him, "Hey, this is what you told me, " and he said, "Oh, that's not what I told you." It was aggravating.

The rep I worked with was excellent. He was very explanatory, very customer service. He was always available to me to talk, to inform. He got back to me immediately and was very understanding. Because I have a lot of limitations with my long hours. I work 12 hours a day. When he was available, he immediately returned my call and spoke to me. I am really very happy with 21st Mortgage. The process is really fast for me. It was very simple because it's not too much bureaucracy. It's straight to the point. The paperwork was easy to do and the request was because the law requires certain things and we have to do it. That, for me, was an excellent process.

The application process was super easy. I am a first time home buyer, but I did not have to go through any trainings or programs. I applied and was approved. Everybody was super helpful. The person that was on my case wasn't the best. He was super unprofessional with emails and not even leaving periods or capitals. We had to get a new person and it made the process a month longer than it was supposed to be. They didn't tell us they were going on vacation until the day of vacation and requested a lot of things that I had already sent to them and that 21st Mortgage had already approved of.

They've been the easiest and best to work with through the beginning. Not a lot of people wanted to get mortgages out for manufactured homes. They were one of the only ones who did and they worked with me well. The application process was a bit difficult because I don't have a computer and I'm not very technology-oriented. But other than that, it made it pretty simple once I talked to my rep Lindsay and got the basic stuff. She was always quick to get back to me. She was patient and she worked with me well. She didn't try to push anything and gave me plenty of time. Even after I'd hung up and there'd be something that I think of afterward, I’d email, and she’d email or call me right back.

There was a miscommunication on the application where there was no part for me to write in where I get tips as part of my income. As a server, I get paid 13 an hour and the rep was telling me that I didn't make enough. I'm like, “Well, I put in a note that I make tips.” There was no way I could put like how much I made in a day. I even told her that sometimes I can make 400 for the whole day if I work from opening to closing and it showed on my check stubs. I recommend that on the application, if servers want to buy a home, there should be a part where they can put additional income like tips. We almost got denied because of that.
Other than that, my rep was responsive and she helped me out a lot. When she couldn't like when she was in a meeting, there were other people who picked up the phone and gave me advice. They were there to listen.

We had a great experience with the rep of 21st Mortgage. At times though, when I felt like I needed to speak to my loan officer, the communication was a little bit difficult. Phone calls were hard to do. We had to do everything mostly by email. But the application was easy to do. It didn't take long at all. I had all the information that they needed.

The application was smooth from beginning to end. The list of requirements is clear, concise and easy to follow. And that allowed me to go out, gather my documentation. Submission of it was simple as well, nice and easy. It was a good experience. The only problem that we ran into was trying to set up the online payment. It wouldn't accept my email address for some reason. I got in touch with somebody, they said they were gonna forward it to IT department. I don't know how far that went. But, everything was great. We would definitely feel comfortable recommending somebody to choose 21st Mortgage.

21st Mortgage was the only one that did the type of mortgage I needed. It was a first-time loan but it was a little complicated and a lot of other people didn't know how to do it. I was buying a house but I wasn't buying the land because my family already owns the land. So, it’d be useless to buy the land from my grandmother, but I was buying the house from my uncle. But they were able to accommodate.
They're good. When I first heard about them, I filled out the application on their website and they told me I was approved pretty quickly, and then got me in contact with my loan person, Mickey. Mickey would email me, keep me updated. We’re in a different time zone. But if she missed me, she normally called me the next morning. It was easy. I didn't really have to do much. I applied, made them took care of stuff. It was like, “All right, give me this stuff. Put it in there.” If there was anything wrong, they'd be like, “Could you resubmit that?” Or maybe I submitted the wrong thing to the wrong parts. But other than that, on my end, I was just like scanning files and sending them to them. The whole process also didn't take a whole lot of time in the grand scheme of things.

The process went well though it took a little long, about three months, because we had some issues with the cellar. All the documents were easily viewed online and submitted online. If I had any questions, I had to call the representative who was assigned to the loan. One thing I didn’t like was the rate. It was a mobile home and the rate is a bit higher than a house. The only problem was because of the age of the home.

I am going through a hard time. Just had my 7th surgery this year. Finished putting metal disc plates and screws in my neck and spine. I believe Ivy was my loan specialist and she went out of her way to help me go over my budget analysis between surgeries to try and assist with getting help with our mortgage this month. A true Christmas miracle for us.
We are the group that is too young to get elderly assistance but our children are no longer minors living at home so that closes most other doors of assistance for us. There really is no assistance for a married couple age 39 and 41 one with a new disability and one working as many hours as he possibly can to keep them afloat. I literally have no one at home to help nurse me back to health while he is at work 10 to 12 hours a day but yet I can't hardly get up or walk without assistance. I was so excited to learn about 21st Mortgage via the Internet. I have been renting to own, a single wide Park Model with an added on room located at Orchard Ranch in Dewey AZ. 21st Mortgage is different. Consumers can pay upon credit approval, 5% down. The other mortgage companies require 20% or more. 21st mortgage made qualifying so much easier. Brian ** is an asset to 21st mortgage. We purchased an investment property and on the property was a single wide mobile home. 21st Mortgage was one of the few lenders that would finance the property with a mobile home on it. We did the application online. It went through and when we started it, we didn't know exactly how much they would require us to put down, especially it being an investment property, so we just elected to do a small amount. They told us that we had to do a certain amount so we submitted with the 10% down. Once I sent that in, they sent us our approval and then a list of documents that they were going to require. We submitted all of our documentation. They sent in for the appraisal. The longest part of the whole process was waiting for the appraisal company to do the appraisal. Overall, it was an extremely easy process.

The process of finding a mortgage company to finance what we wanted to do was very hard. 21st Mortgage was the only one that was willing to help us out. However, when I was talking with them and we were going through the process, they acted like I could have gone anywhere. It was very helpful and very friendly. They communicated a lot with us the whole application process itself and we did everything electronically. It got a little bit confusing at times. As busy as I noticed Brian, my loan officer was, any time I got on the phone with him, he was very patient, took as much time as I needed, answered questions and helped me work through whatever needed to be worked through, and he was very pleasant.
For what we purchased, they couldn't give us any longer term than they did. As far as the rates, it was a little bit higher than what I had expected as a 5 point something, and I thought we'd be able to get a 3 at least and considering our credit rating and the way the market was going, and so I'm not happy with it, but at least I have a mortgage.

The broker price opinion took forever. The first contractor that they got messed everything up, and then they couldn't get in touch with them. There were three steps of removal in the communication and nobody knew where they were or if they were going to fix it in time. It almost resulted in the loss of my deal. It made it so I had already sold and moved out of my old house and staying in hotels and living in my car. Really bad. The process seemed there was no solution. I'd call every day to try and get an update and would just be told that there was nothing they could do but wait.
21st Mortgage should have more options for backups, for follow-up and for addressing an issue like that because it seemed like they didn't expect this. I had to do a lot of my own calling and really represent myself and my agent had a really hard time getting through to anybody. Several voicemails, emails, and finally, someone would get back to me. But when I finally got through to somebody, it was good customer service.
There were also several times that I'd call in and try and stay on top of what I needed to submit and I'd say, “Just let me know. I’ll submit it today.” They'd let me know. I’d submit it that day and then I'd get a notification from my agent that things were slowed down again because of something else I needed to submit. I'd call back and they’d say, “Oh, sorry. You did need to submit this, too.” I understand this part of the home buying process, too, but they should have a more streamlined and collected step-by-step process of what I need to submit and when. As much as I tried to stay on top of calling every day multiple times to get in touch with people, it still took much longer than a closure should take, past the average closing times that really threatened the closure of my deal.

I couldn't ask for friendlier people to deal with; always professional and very easy to talk to. It's been a pleasure dealing with 21st. I've had some difficulties lately and they have also worked to help me as best as they can. Just having them as my mortgage company is a relief.

I did the initial application with 21st Mortgage and from there, the only issue that I had was when it came down to do the appraisal. There was a miscommunication with what 21st Mortgage was requiring and what the appraisal person needed to know to finish the report. Other than that, it was a smooth process throughout the whole purchasing of the house. My rep was awesome. He was very attentive throughout the process of buying the house. He always answered the phone and was very calm. I liked the timely manner that he would get back to me. If we had any issues going on or if I had any questions, he either would put me on hold and find the answer or give me a call back within an hour. This is my first house and I always hear that it's so difficult and stressful but he definitely helped with keeping that stress level down.

We were looking for a mortgage lender for mobile homes that are manufactured homes in a park. We went to Four Seasons and the manager there told us that they use 21st Mortgage for their mortgage company so I got in contact with them. The rates were a little bit high but if there were certain mortgage companies that would finance in a park, we have to take what we could get. The representatives that we spoke to were easy to talk to about the needs that we had. Their communication was good as well. The only thing that we didn't like was that when they posted information online, it wasn't up to date as it should have been. It would still be showing that some paperwork was missing. But other than that, it was not a big deal.

When I applied with 21st Mortgage, I was living in Massachusetts. I was signing over the internet, then they sent the paperwork to me, and I sent it back to them. Everything went pretty smoothly and the process was very easy. It went by quickly, too, and took less than a month.

21st Mortgage was awesome. It was easier to go through them because the home that we were purchasing was already financed through them. Their feedback was on point all the time. As soon as I would submit anything, they would be right on it within minutes. They were really good and every time I called, they were super informative. It was my first time doing all this, so I was a little confused on all the forms but I didn't have issues. They made this process so easy, not even stressful.

It was nice that the 21st Mortgage Corporation loan officer was the same person throughout the process so there was continuity there from even the first phone call. We did everything electronically. He seemed very much on top of things since the beginning, shared all the information in a timely manner and provided adequate feedback when needed. So, it seemed that we worked well together.

We were looking to purchase a new mobile home and a place in Canton, North Carolina. We looked on 21st Mortgage's website and saw that they also finance land home packages, where the home is not brand new. We contacted them and they were tremendous. We had some things come up in the process that made it difficult and they went above and beyond to help out. I would recommend them to anyone.

Brian called and said, "Well, if we do this, you might be able to get more done." He worked with me to work with me. So, it worked out well. He always got back to me right away. I was laughing and slow at getting things together. I had to install an app on my phone and do a scan for Adobe Scan and send in information. 21st Mortgage accepted some very iffy kind of stuff. But for the most part, everything went smooth.

The application process was a piece of cake. There were a couple of glitches with the title itself because of delays on the part of the seller but there was excellent communication. There were prompt emails and telephone calls. My rep Nicki was very easy to get a hold of. I was steadily updated on every move that was made to benefit my closing and loan. I was happy from start to finish and I was very comfortable with everybody I spoke to.

It was the first time I've ever done something like this and it was fine. The application process with 21st Mortgage was straightforward and the online website was simple and responsive. So, I have no complaints there and I was happy it all worked out. The application and underwriting process took about 20 minutes at most. It was a little difficult though to get in contact with people at the office and get a response that same day when I can’t always send emails outside of work. They close at 6:00 Eastern time, which is 3:00 over here and I get out at 4:00 as well as my sister. They could maybe have a helpline after closing or someone else who is able to respond after 3:00 PM. But when they were open, they responded quickly.
Bryan, the rep from 21st Mortgage, responded quickly anytime I sent him an email at the office. He presented us the information that we asked for and always provided a little more as well. But when I asked him a question, he would tell me the answers to it and if I had more questions, he would be specific and answer it. But 21st Mortgage could have handled differently the amount of information we got during the closing escrow costs. But it was probably more with the Realtor that we were dealing with too.
We were misinformed with what money was supposed to be had at closing and we had to take out a mall personal loan to try to fix that. Thankfully, the closing date was future-dated so it gave us a day to get that loan and come up with the rest of the money that was needed for the closing cost. 21st Mortgage got me a good loan. It’s difficult with the mortgage for mobile homes and there are not many options out there with today's market. But they were helpful for me. If people are looking for the same thing or something similar, 21st Mortgage is a very good choice to go with.

Working with 21st Mortgage was amazing. I would send to them what they needed about certain things and the agent would always reply to our emails. It didn't matter if I sent her 15 emails a day. She replied to every single one of them and was so patient and understanding that this is the first time I've been through this process. She was a godsend. I'm happy we went with 21st Mortgage. They're a trusted brand and company. We know the name and that gave us peace of mind at the end of the day, even though we didn't understand some stuff. If we would’ve shopped around and saw an advertisement for people, we wouldn't know if it was real.

The customer service was fairly good and the rep was very professional and nice. I liked dealing with him. The only thing was that I wasn't given the necessary steps to go through everything. It seemed like I talked to my Realtor and I had to go back. 21st Mortgage could have been better at having everything lined up for what we were going to go through during the process. It seemed like there was a lot of little hiccups along the way. It wasn’t their fault but it seemed like it could have run smoother. I bought a house before and I didn't have as much problems as I had with this. People should go online and find out what they're gonna be looking for and what they're gonna be asking 21st Mortgage because the process was a little bit different than buying a house.

We had a separate loan for our land and we consolidated it into one loan with our home. The seller was a torture about it. He said there wouldn't be any penalties for early payment yet he tried to make us pay early payments. We wound up paying $4,000 more than our original mortgage after paying on it for five years. He couldn't justify the math and it was ridiculous. But 21st Mortgage straightened it all out and we got out from under it. They worked hard for me. The rep was awesome and he did a good job. He kept us up to date, answered emails timely and called us back whenever he needed to. So, it was great. 21st Mortgage made our life better by helping me get this done. It was a good experience and we're very happy with the service.

I had some things I didn't know but I was able to call and they helped me to go through with a few questions. The loan processor was amazing. Every time I asked a question, he didn't take a long time to answer. I had some problems with some documents I couldn't upload and he helped me with that too.

I just got my booklet last week. It took me two months to get through the process, and 21st Mortgage didn’t make it very easy. They asked me a series of questions, I answered them then we went through the process. I thought I was in the clear, then they came back and said they needed something. They kept asking for the same thing over and over again, just in a different way. I had a rough time, and my real estate lady even told me, “Normally, buying a house isn’t usually that hard.” My sister helped me through this process a lot. If she didn't, I wouldn’t have had this home because I would have given up a long time ago before I got through with it. Kayla was the representative I worked with. I tried to call her several times, didn't get ahold of her and tried to leave messages. I only got ahold of her for another one of the issues that we were having ‘cause there were so many different issues.
21st needs to have better communication. My financing was going to be more money and one of the questions they asked me was, is my home on a blacktop road. I put, “No it's not. It's not on a dirt road.” I went through the process and they told me everything was fine, accepted my part payment, then came back and told me I was going to have another $15,000 down because this house was not on a paved road. They should have already known that coming from the people that I purchased the home from had it financed through 21st.
Even down to the very last day that I was supposed to go, I went up to sign my papers. I moved out of state, and I had to drive all the way. We had to wait on a signature. I was there at the crack of dawn and by 5 o'clock that afternoon, they still had not gotten me taken care of. I left, came home, went back to Texas, and had to come back the next day. All the process wasn’t 21st's fault though. It was both the finance and the mortgage company. I was going back and forth and it was a jacked up process.

The loan officer, Jonathan, was outstanding. He answered all my calls, and no problem. However, our first mortgage payment came on the 1st and we thought we had a grace period between the 1st and 5th. I got a phone call the 2nd, saying, “Where’s our payment?” It would have been nicer if there was a little grace period in between, because we just moved two weeks prior before the closing, so I had no idea that it had to be on the 1st or before. Apart from that, 21st was good.

Due to Covid I lost my job and was having a hard time paying my mortgage. I have been disrespected, chastised and treated like crap for getting behind. There was no compassion or understanding. This time my issue was FINALLY solved. Maggie is absolutely fabulous! She is friendly, respectful and so very helpful. She was so patient and understanding. Ryan was wonderful. He made the process easy and he was always available, knowledgeable and quick to reply. Even if 21st Mortgage is a company that is out of state, I'm from California and they're in Tennessee, the hour difference was not a problem, because the responding time from the escrow officer at their end made it easy and fast. The communication was always open via email.
