I was comfortable working with 21st, although the process took longer than it should have. Also, the interest rate is high considering I was already a 21st client for two years and pay my payment early. But other than that, it's fine. The rep I worked was great.

The process was okay, but it was a little bit hard. It was a lot of paperwork to get done and I didn't know there was going to be so much stuff to get done. I didn't think I was really going to get the mortgage. Also, we moved in a little bit later. Other than that, it's fine now.

Makaylee is my account manager, and she has been very helpful and understanding while my family is going through difficult times. Today I spoke with Eric, and he was also very polite and made sure all my questions were fully met. This company is a great company if you are looking for a mortgage.

I was dealing with Drew, who was a good agent. He was responsive and he always really promptly responded to calls. The application process was kind of laborious, though. The lender required that a new roof be put on. Fortunately, we were able to get the seller to pay for half of it. There was some delay in the sense that, when you put the money in escrow for the repair, the escrow company charges you another couple of hundred dollars. I thought that was not a good thing. Also, there was some miscommunication between the real estate broker and 21st. Some of the final terms were not really communicated clearly and in the end, there were some other things that we needed to do.

I got through the application process with 21st Mortgage right away. It was everything after that I had to wait for. I had a hard time getting things done and accomplished because I bought from a homeowner instead of us as a company selling or buying a house from somebody and getting a loan for them. It's the time that it took once I submitted documents. I reached out 21st a couple of times but nobody ever reached out to me ever. But their website is good. It was easy for me to submit the documents and get to it and view my loan papers. The only complaint I had is the wait time and having to pull teeth to get ahold of them.

I hate doing stuff online and I would rather had been there to sit down with 21st Mortgage but they're not here in Louisiana. So, you had to do what you had to do and it all worked out. The application and underwriting process took about a month. It probably could have been done sooner, but a couple of things would be my fault, and then something would be the insurance didn't spell something correctly. But they would call us in three weeks or so.
The rep was great. She was there to answer anytime I had a problem or a question. She was very helpful. She emailed me everything and if I didn't have the time to look for it and do it, I asked her it would be okay to send it to my daughter. She worked with my daughter and I both because I'm at school and I can't always get to my phone or answer the question, and my daughter could. Anytime we needed things, she emailed. If I called, she answered. If she didn't answer, she called me back. Sometimes I felt like I was bothering her, but she said that was what she was there for. She was easygoing and nice.

We had some challenges with getting documents from my employer.. but Kelly was very patient and kind and professional.. It took a while but it was not Kelly's fault. And it was worth the wait! All 21st mortgage personnel have been courteous and professional. We are first time home buyers and you all made this a positive experience.

I see all the positive reviews and came to realize most of these positive reviews are from people who received a loan from 21st. Well, I feel bad for each and everyone who tries to sell their mobile home. You will be upside down; especially if attached to your land. You will owe this lender for the rest of your life. Fortunately, I had a cash buyer and was able to get out from under this lender as our mobile home was not attached to my land. Not without issue though. They will give you wrong payoff quotes then tell you you owe more money. They will send out payments to insurance company out of escrow after giving your payoff quote and you pay it off "satisfying the loan". Then tell you, "Oops you owe more money because we didn't realize the insurance was paid." Then they will tell you to have insurance company send back check and loan will be satisfied.
Nope they will then send you the check the insurance company sent them to have you payoff again. Which all took 30+ days as this check is floating around they are charging you daily interest... Through this process they gave me 5 different payoff quotes after the first payoff was already satisfied. All changing to add interest and chew up over 800 in my escrow. So buyer beware they are more than helpful to service the loan but in the end will milk you down to the dime and believe me every associate will tell you something different. They love taking your money but when it's time for them to pay what is rightfully yours they will drag the process out so they keep any overage in escrow. Bunch of crooks.

I had a very pleasant experience with them. It was very easy being able to upload everything and submit it versus having to mail things through the post office. My rep John was very quick to respond and he gave me all the information I needed. I was happy with the terms. The rates are not great but it's just the way things fell. But given my circumstances and everything, I'm happy with what I have. Consider 21st if you're considering getting a mortgage.

The application process was okay. But it was a lot of red tape and a bunch of unnecessary stuff over and over. I had to prove my income. So, I had my boss do all that stuff and send it to them. Then I had to prove that I saved up money for a down payment. Then I had to prove my income last year and the year before last. I don't know if they lost it in the paperwork but there was a bit of a hassle. Eventually, we got it all worked out. I’m happy that I’m done, not only because now I’ve got my first house, but I’m glad I’m done with all this paperwork and all this running around.
The rep I talked to, John, was very helpful. He was a super guy. He had to go on vacation though and another guy took his place. Again, that guy was super individual. He was very easy to communicate with and understood where I was coming from.

I worked with Adam and he sent me an email less than 24 hours after I filled out an application. He helped make sure that I got exactly where I needed to go. Every day since I got approved, he was calling me and making sure that all my documents were right and that I was getting everything taken care of. Even if he couldn't answer my call at the time, he always made sure to call me back, and he never did not call me back. Even if I didn't get to talk to Adam, everyone whom I talked to always made sure I was well taken care of. I really like their customer satisfaction.

The payment process could be better. You can pay with your checking account and that's the only way that you're able to pay. If something came up and you needed to use a debit card, you're not able to do that. Other than that, everything was spot-on. The application process was nothing to it. Ten minutes at the most to fill out the online part of it. Adam, the rep was super nice. Every time I would call, if he didn't answer, he would always make sure he called me back. He was a great guy. It was a great experience. 21st Mortgage Corporation was super easy to deal with and I would recommend that you give them a try. I was able to get a home and better myself and my family.

The underwriting took me for a bit of a toll, but it was not something I was used to doing, being my first time. Also, the rate and terms are a little high, but it's okay. 21st Mortgage Corporation explained the process and helped me through getting the stuff I needed for the verifications. Also, the rep was good and very cooperative, communicative and answered all my questions in a timely manner. It was a good experience. I would recommend 21st Mortgage to everybody.

I did a refinance to get my home in my name. I was going through a divorce, and 21st Mortgage Corporation was the quickest way. The application was a little tedious. It went for two and a half weeks. I sent some documents over that were still legible, but they weren't to 21st Mortgage's liking. Even though they could still read everything, they wanted it darker. But I like that I can pay my bills online and they have direct withdrawal. Everything went smoothly, and so far, they look like a good and professional company.

21st Mortgage is great. The communication was quick and easy. Everyone's always polite and always helps me out. The process was quick compared to other companies I've worked with before. A lot of times, I noticed their portal would be quicker than even emails back and forth with people. It saved some time even communicating.

In my research for financing for a manufactured home, I contacted about 5 companies including 21st Mortgage. Within a day, I received a favorable response from them and they started the process of qualifying me for the mortgage. I was assigned to Joy, one of their loan's officer who was very helpful and accommodating. She dealt with me as if we knew each other a long time. She also worked along with the seller to acquire important documents that were necessary for the process. I could call anytime, ask any questions to Joy or any other member of the 21st Mortgage team and they were always willing and ready to assist me and answer all my questions. I was truly impressed with the service and within a very short time, they were ready for the closing. The payment was subsequently made and we're now in our new home.

Appreciate that 21stMortgage offers loans for Mobile Homes when so few do. I found their interest rates high, But that comes with the territory of being one of the few offering loans, The service was good up until the release of the money to seller. All documents were overnighted May 24th. The Deposit was confirmed May 27th. Money released June 3 to be overnighted for June 1st closing. Sellers received June 7th. I check was not overnighted. Loan documents were overnighted to me and received on a Saturday. But the check was not. Funky at best.

We got a first-time homebuyer's loan from 21st Mortgage. I like that they have a portal and you go to this portal every day and check the status of it. So you don't have to be chasing anybody on the phone, wondering if they're thinking of you. You could communicate with them through that portal. Every document that they needed, you could upload it to that portal. Everything that they didn't have, you would know that it was in that portal. They have been on top of their game all the way around. The rep, Kayla, answered me every time I called, either by email or text. She didn't go two to three days without answering me.
One of the guys did something that I didn't understand. Kayla and I had already determined the rate. I had already worked on my credit. Something came on my credit report one day. He didn't even give me time to deal with it. He wasn't even my loan officer. He went in the loan and raised the loan from 10.5, which is what I got, because we would pay it off early, to 11.8. Which would have made it 12.0.
Kayla went on vacation. When she got back, I put a note in her portal. She responded to me immediately and we discussed it. I sent Kayla proof that I had already had my piece done. I don't know what that guy was talking about. Kayla acknowledged it. She told me, “Make sure you send it to the bureaus.” I sent it to the bureaus. It came off my credit report. By the time we went to closing, it was done.

I’m trying to log on to the website, to see my account, but I couldn't get in there. But so far, everything has gone well with 21st Mortgage. The portal was very user-friendly. I have payments set up with them through my financial institute to pay them directly and for some odd reason, my institution sent them a check versus wiring them the money. Other than that, everything else has gone fine. Kelly, the rep, answered my questions and I didn't have an issue with her. There were some things though that I should have known on my end. 21st Mortgage should be upfront and let people know what the expectations were. But that possibly could have come from my Realtor versus the lender.

In the process of buying a mobile home, there were a few of my now neighbor that suggested to look into 21st Mortgage. I was in a weird situation where it wasn't a traditional mortgage that we were looking for. Working with 21st was very great. Chris was the loan manager and he was very helpful in answering my questions as well as he could. If there was something that he couldn't answer right away, he would let me know and find resources for answering my question to the best of his knowledge.
I did the initial application on May 12th and finished everything on June 30th. 21st was really a great company to work with. I received a phone call a few days ago that I missed. They left a voicemail just letting me know that I can call back if I had any questions about making loan payments. They were very attentive and they had very open communication.

21st Mortgage was one of the two companies that do mobile homes in a park. The process wasn't too bad and my rep was helpful when I needed him to be. They asked for a lot of stuff. I started mid-May and we were done by almost the end of June. I would totally recommend 21st Mortgage.

I was refinancing with 21st to get my ex-wife off of the house. I’m just rebuilding after losing everything. The process with 21st went pretty well. But there were times when I felt like having to check the portal all day was a little bit much and a phone call would be better. I wish there was some kind of an alert or an email that says there's an update because you would have to go in and check it instead of signing in every day to check what they've updated or what's not updated. Other than that, everything went smoothly and their guy John handled everything well. I called him and told him that I didn't want to go through the portal and if he could send me an email. He did that quickly. When he was out of the office, his assistant took care of everything as fast as possible and as neatly as possible.

The process with 21st Morgage was longer than I thought. They wanted a lot of stuff on the buyer side and I was buying through a trust. The guidelines for the seller should be made less stringent. I was doing land and mobile home purchase. They wanted the title in the name of the trust and not the name of the deceased. The trust documents should alleviate that. The selling Realtor had to go all the way to the DMV and get that transferred over.
I didn't understand what the big deal was. The deceased owned it and now, they wanted the name of the trust on it. The trust document said, “All right, that's fine.” They should have said that to me months ago rather than the last minute when I was getting ready to close. I found that out later in the process. I had to sign an extension on the buyer’s side. That aside, my experience with 21st Mortgage was good and they got the job done. Ryan was my rep and he was very thorough. He always called back and always answered emails. He did everything he was supposed to do. It's just a lot of this stuff was out of his hands because it was with the underwriter.

The only issue was the communication between the title company and 21st Mortgage's closing officers. The communication between those two seemed a little bit rough. But other than that, I had no issues at all. The rep was very helpful and taught me a lot of things about the whole homebuying process.

I like going in person and doing things, so the application was a little different doing everything over the phone. It was nice because you didn't have to run anywhere, but it's just going back and forth that I didn't like. The rep was great. He got back to me every week. He sent me emails. Every time I needed a question, I just had to call him and he would explain it to me. I loved 21st Mortgage. Everything was great.

The person that we were dealing with at 21st Mortgage wasn't informative at all and I had to ask a million questions. This was our first time buying anything, much less using 21st Mortgage, and there was a lot of back and forth of me trying to find out what was the next step. They should have better customer service in terms of keeping the customer informed of what's going on, the next step and making contact, as well as making sure they don't have any questions. I kept trying to get a closing date from the rep or a roundabout, but he couldn't give me anything.
After we finally closed, the day that our paperwork was submitted, the seller was still in the home and would not leave, because he was still doing stuff here. And the 21st Mortgage representative told him not to let us move in until he got paid his part of what he made off of the home, which was extremely disrespectful, because if it's in our name, we have the right to it. So we didn't get into the house until three days after we closed. When I called to ask the seller about it, he said that as a buyer, he wanted to make sure that he gets what he made off of it. But that was not my responsibility if he was still waiting on a check.
Then, when we moved in, his stuff was still not even completely out. Until now, we still have the seller's junked out car sitting in our driveway. Apparently, the guy that we were dealing with did not communicate with him on how fast this was going to go once all of the paperwork was submitted. And so, he didn't have a chance to remove the car. But we communicated with the seller and told him we need it gone as soon as possible, and he said he would do that. But 21st Mortgage's rep should have made that contact with him telling him that once a type of work was done and submitted, the house would be closed in one or two days. And it was not at all. So there was a lot of noncommunication from the representative between the buyer and the seller. I would never use 21st Mortgage again.

21st Mortgage's loan process was streamlined in the sense that whenever I would send stuff in, their website would mark it as being accepted. And I knew what I needed to send in at any given time without any lag in sending the stuff that they needed. So, I really liked that I could look and see how everything was going. The application was very easy and going back and forth from the seller to me, it took less than a 30-day turnaround, because I was waiting on her. She was still living in the place when I went through that process. Other than that, I had to to take repeat pictures and I had to go back down because 21st Mortgage wanted all the corners. But it was not a problem and I just did what they asked. I'm planning on paying my home off early and I will use 21st Mortgage again for a bigger one to accommodate a larger family.

Working with 21st Mortgage was very easy. The representative that I worked with, Joy, was very good. She got back to me when I asked her to and she followed up on everything. But when she wasn't there, one of her coworkers was not so good. He was very condescending and didn't want to let me see. He wasn't very personable, wasn't really listening to what I said, and was always talking over me. I also didn't like uploading documents in their portal. When I did it on my phone, some of the things weren't going through and that was frustrating to me because I didn't do it from a laptop. So I emailed a lot of the PDFs to Joy and she uploaded them for me.
Aside from that, I didn't like the appraisal company that 21st Mortgage used. Some people didn't know how to look for other things or didn’t understand. My house is a 2012 and they went with houses that were from the 70s. Those were not comparable to my house so I had to go find houses in my neighborhood that had sold recently and I gave those listings to them to get a more comparable house. But 21st itself was great.

We paid our payment on time, but it took a long time for us to get the information and get it closed out so we could make a payment. It delayed things for about a couple of weeks. But the application process was super easy and quick. We worked with Adam and he was pretty prompt with everything. My husband and I would call and bother him, asking questions, and he was very nice to us.

I called 21st Mortgage because I was financing a mortgage for a mobile home, and they were the only company that did loans for mobile homes. I had a woman that was working with me. She was the one that did all the paperwork and application and processed everything for me. Her name was Kayla and she was very helpful. I gave her what she needed through emails and scanning documents.
When I did the application process, it was difficult at first because I wasn't notified for a while. I wanted this process to go quickly because I was looking for a place to live into. I was having a hard time communicating with Kayla. I called her several times, and it was hard trying to get through to her. I was on hold more than several times, 25 minutes at a time. After a few weeks of going through this process, she called me from a direct number. I started calling that number to speak to her personally, and she answered the phone so I was able to communicate with her better. I'm thrilled that I was able to get a loan. I'm trying to rebuild my life and purchasing something was one of those things that I wanted to do in my life. 21st Mortgage was the company that made it come alive.

I got a conventional loan from 21st Mortgage and it was simple. They told me what was needed and I gave them the paperwork. It was all mainly through email correspondence. It took one month from beginning to end. The Realtor-cum-broker for the modular home community did the actual closing documents with me. It was easier for me to meet with her to do it. But 21st brought over the whole packet and everything else. Kathleen, the rep, was very quick with the responses to any questions that I had. She was absolutely amazing. I never had to worry about what something meant. She explained everything to me and walked me through it. It was a very easy and pleasurable experience. I thought it was gonna be a big challenge starting my life all over again and she helped me out tremendously with everything.

My wife and I were referred to 21st Mortgage Corp. to obtain financing for our manufactured home. After completing the information thoroughly, we received approval within an hour, which was amazing. The underwriting department reviewed the conditions promptly and did not overwhelm us with additional paperwork. Their computer system was easy to access and understand. Our loan representative, Ryan, was very friendly, although it would have been nice for him to introduce himself personally on the phone at least once during the loan process. We received good service, except for their insurance products on very high earthquake coverage.

Easy transaction. Fast approval for a single wide mobile home. No appraisal needed. Our lawyer took the longest. Nothing to do with 21st Mortgage. I had the misfortune of dealing with Adam **. I had to send item after item to his email at least four times. Each time he would say he didn’t receive one paper or another. He went on vacation without sending my loan app to someone else. My closing date was delayed an entire month! Cost me $$$ in storage fees. I will never refer this company to anyone! Refinancing with someone else ASAP!

Most importantly, Nicki ** was fantastic. Very professional. She is very busy but always got back to me. The application process went smoothly and quickly. I was conditionally approved the next day. The final approval took longer than what I think it should have. There were documents I sent to MyHome that Nicki had to eventually go in and get approval. There were conditions to meet that I thought should have been explained better such as the consent to pay for appraisal, seller person to person interview and the land/lease agreement with the community. Otherwise everything went great and thank you for lending me the money for our new home. We love it.

The rates were better with 21st Mortgage. It didn't feel like it was so salesy as the other ones are where they don't really get enough information before providing a quote. The process with 21st took a while but it didn't matter to me because the homeowner of the house that I was buying wasn't going to move out for a couple of months. Emailing was the easiest communication method for me. When I was messaging, the rep Ryan was always responsive to email back and forth. There only had one issue when going into the company's portal. Uploading documents didn't work a couple of times so I had to email it all in. That was equally easy.

21st Mortgage Corporation was the only one that we know that could do mobile home mortgages. I had to do a big down payment. They didn't accept me to begin with. They wanted me to do $14,000 on top. When I was looking at normal houses, I was approved for 350,000. So, it took me by surprise when 21st Mortgage denied me of a mobile home loan when I have already been approved for a normal house loan, way more than what they were asking for. I should have been approved immediately, not have to put down $14,000 on a $70,000 loan. Other than that, the underwriting happened quickly. The information went in, it took 21st Mortgage a couple of weeks to get the underwriting done. But once it was done, it was immediate about updating the offers to match whatever property we were looking at. 21st Mortgage recommended us to another place to do the closing. They helped. The rep is thorough and responds very quickly.

Whenever I had a problem or a question I would call 21st Mortgage and ask Lindsay and she would have the answers that I was looking for. And whatever Lindsay wasn’t in the office another associate would answer those questions and if they didn’t know the question they would ask someone right away and then let me know either right away or call me back when they do get the answers.

The process from application to closing took less than a month and it was pretty simple to get everything done. The worst part was waiting on a third party to give me a document that 21st Mortgage needed. It took me longer to get that form than it took for anything else. That aside, communication was easy. We thought 21st Mortgage was the only one that was available to finance a manufactured home. We since found out differently and I wish I would’ve went with somebody else. Their service is pathetic. We were supposed to be closed on the 19th of April but didn’t end up closing until 29th or 30th. Last minute, they decided they needed to have an appraisal done. It was one excuse after another. We ended up living in a hotel for two weeks because we had sold our place. We ended up spending that much money we didn't need to because of their incompetence. I'll never do it again with them. I'm looking to find somebody else to refinance with and I'll be doing that at my earliest convenience.

The process with 21st Mortgage was seamless and easy, especially since we were first-time homebuyers. There really wasn't much back and forth. In total, things happened within two months or less. We went with an age-restricted community and 21st Mortgage specialized in age-restricted community mortgages. We did a conventional loan with them. I worked with Drew and he handled everything. He gave us all the information, sent us all the documentation, and told us exactly what he needed us to do. Things were handled very quickly and efficiently on their side. 21st Mortgage did exactly what they were supposed to do. It was smooth and efficient. 21st Mortgage was the only one that does mobile homes. Obtaining the mortgage was a pain in the rear. They screwed us over with the interest. They ran my credit score without my permission for a second time and did a hard inquiry. They should be more clear about things such as asking permission before running someone's credit a second time. On top of that, they told me they were going to have the house ready for a certain day and they messed up on the paperwork. I spent over $1,200 extending a U-haul rental and a hotel reservation. The process took three months because I had to leave out of town. My loan rep wasn't too helpful. For questions or concerns, I had to go through a supervisor. She was a little bit helpful but I still wasn't satisfied with the service they gave me in the end even. Their staff tried to make it better but it still wasn't good enough.

The whole application process online and my loan person at 21st Mortgage were all great. But when I would submit paperwork, it would take so long. They would have so many questions and things would sit. We had to escalate it to management. It was really bad. My poor loan rep had to push pretty hard. Everything they would ask for, I already provided them that. I got to where I was trying to call the people myself. But once the manager cleared everything, it was fine again.
Brian was the guy that I worked with the most and he was awesome. He communicated very well. He was very personable, helpful, patient, especially during what was very stressful. He explained things. He partnered. I also liked that with the online application, you could see things. I didn't like that I wasn't able to more directly communicate, even if it was online, with the people who verified the information. I'd upload it, and then someone would leave me a note. But then I couldn't really communicate back to them. That was weird.

The application at 21st Mortgage took an hour and it was easy to follow. But, from the point at which I gave an earnest check, the closing was a little over a month. There was one thing that I needed to re-sign. After that, there was something that the sellers needed to re-sign. It added two weeks delay. But it was a smooth process. This is my first mortgage on a property. I was expecting 10 times the stress and frustration, but I didn’t really get any. Teresa, the rep, was really good. We communicated through email mostly, but I had the chance to talk to her on the phone one time when the seller and I needed to redo some paperwork. Teresa was really helpful.

This was my 10th home I’ve purchased in my old age, and this was the easiest one because 21st Mortgage was so clear and concise with their website. The rep was fabulous. She used to call, check in, and make sure everything was going smoothly. Everything was smooth, even at the closing. It was held up out here in Arizona due to the builder, but the minute it got to 21st, they had that turned around in a couple of hours and had it FedExed back here. I've got a beautiful home that I'm going to die in because I refuse to move again. It’s fantastic.

It was a little bit challenging to get ahold of the reps at 21st Mortgage most of the time, whether that's email or phone call. My Realtor also struggled to get ahold of them. Once we got further in the process, there were a lot of communication issues with the title company and the company that did the appraisal. But the application process was super simple and straightforward. I was able to upload everything to the customer portal. I was happy with the rate too. It was a little bit higher than a conventional mortgage, but I expected that going with a little bit more of an alternative route.

I called 21st Mortgage and talked to one of the ladies and she told me the guidelines to it and what had to be done step by step process. It was a very smooth process. I filled everything out online, sent it in, and got the approval letter. I liked how it was formatted and they tell you which documents to submit. You can also at any time log on there and see the status of it. Our process was a little bit slower because there were some hiccups on my end. We had it all done in about 45 days. Our loan officer was John and he was perfect. Any questions I had, he answered them, and he kept everything going smooth. He emailed back pretty quick and told me exactly what to do.

The loan originator I was assigned didn’t do any paperwork on time and refused to file more than one piece of paperwork a day. He was never available to answer phone calls or emails regarding his blatant disregard to the fact we were under contract and he was not doing his part. He also didn’t send the closing forms with the correct information causing our closing date to be extended, after we had already paid for movers. I would never recommend anyone to use 21st mortgage as a lender, unless of course they want their contract disregarded with no communication.

The application process was pretty self-sufficient, and it’s not as hard as most. Katherine, the loan officer, was amazing with information and resources on how to get the information to them quicker. She was very resourceful in helping me accomplish my goal, friendly, cooperated decently, and I never got the vibe that she was irritated. She was just, all around, ready to help with whatever she could. It took three weeks total with the back and forth, and if there was something that was late or something that didn’t get to her as fast as I thought it would, Katherine was very communicative, just letting me know.

21st Mortgage is a company that finances mobile homes. I applied with them and the process wasn't as smooth. There was a lot of miscommunication. The person we were working with would tell me one thing. I would talk to the seller, and the seller would tell me, "Well, she told me this." We were constantly back and forth with that. Other than that, we made it to closing eventually. The rates seemed fair too.

The rep was very nice and pretty open. He answered any of my questions when I had them. He ended up going on vacation a couple times while he was waiting on me, and sometimes, he was a little slow to get back to me, but whoever he referred to me when he was gone was really quick to get back to me on stuff. All my part was done, and it took 21st a long time to get their stuff going.

21st Mortgage was able to finance my house. The process wasn't very fast, but it was pretty easy because we had somebody that was always answering our calls and email. Whatever questions we had, he was always there. So it was pretty good. But we took a long time to find insurance for our house. I went with the insurance that our agent offered us, and if we would have just done that from the beginning, it would have saved us a lot of time. But everything else was pretty straightforward.
I dealt with Grant and he explained everything very, very thoroughly, and very specific-like. He was pretty straightforward. He told me what I needed and what I didn't need. So that was very helpful. He was very attentive. I would call him sometimes after hours, and he would always respond. To me, that was key because this was my first time buying a home so I had a lot of questions. He was always there to answer me. He did the numbers for me. Some numbers had changed. He did it really quick and always was updating everything pretty fast on the portal. It was a good experience.

The only frustration I encountered is that I sent 5 (or more) documents via email, and then I was requested to send them multiple times, the underwriter kept missing them. I was told by the loan originator that there had been a glitch in the computer system and that was causing the problem but it kept happening. It was frustrating. Ultimately however, they got everything together and my loan went through.

21st Mortgage held the mortgage for the sellers of the a standard manufactured home we were purchasing. The process of obtaining the mortgage was not good and it took more than 30 days. My rep Chris was quick to get the initial approval done but thing kept dragging on because they couldn’t keep ahold of the paperwork. The ones that both the sellers and we sent in were lost. We had to send paperwork in multiple times and we weren’t given all the information. It was very poorly handled. On the whole, I didn’t have a whole lot of choice so I just dealt with it.

I was looking at having a trailer built from scratch and 21st Mortgage was one of the companies that was recommended I go through. When I found my home, not very many people lend for trailers so I went with 21st right away. It was a 30-day process and it was really great. The only complaint that I had was the whole appraisal situation. They didn't have any way to get in contact with the actual appraisal company. And then my lender was out of the office. I also had a certain deadline that the sellers were gonna back out if it wasn't done by said day. I contacted 21st and ask them what was going on. The sellers haven't heard anything from the appraisal company. Come to find out, they went a different route with it because we couldn't get ahold of the appraisal company.
On timeframe on how everything works, I was told, “Oh, okay, now we've done this process. Oh, yeah, by the way, you have to wait three days before you can sign any documents.” I had to inform the sellers of that and it was a little frustrating. Here we thought we got our documents signed and everything was good. And then we still had to wait that extra three days that we were anticipating. That put a little bit of a strain on things. Also, the sellers weren't going to release the keys until they have the checks. That was another strain. Other than that, things were really good for the most part. It was just making it a little more open book and very blunt.
We put the offer in the 23rd of February. On the get-go, I informed the rep Lindsey that we needed to be closed and everything done by the 1st of April. I ended up taking an extra five days. But that was me calling every day and asking, “Okay, where are we at? What are we missing? What do we need?” If there was that more open book communication, I wouldn't have felt like I had to harass every day to ask what the hold up was. Overall, I'm pretty happy with my rates and terms. It works for me. I went through a house loan process with an actual bank within my community and it was nothing compared to the cut-and-dry of 21st, besides a few little hiccups there.

I did a consolidation and borrowed 25,000 against my house. It's a fixed 15-year loan. 21st Mortgage's application process was awful. The whole process took six weeks or so. They were moving very slowly and they had every excuse in the world like how the underwriters, loan officers, then closing people were overworked and were behind. The only person that was prompt, friendly, and seemed to be competent was the appraiser. He was terrific but that was a contractor.
The right hand needs to know what the left hand is doing or vice versa. 21st Mortgage approved my loan then they asked for things. I sent them different things then I would get an email in the middle of the night saying my loan was rejected. I die a thousand deaths and get ahold of them in the morning to be told it was a a mistake. That happened twice.
I have bought and sold a lot of homes in my day. I've had eight mortgages and this was the most unpleasant and unprofessional mortgage I have ever had. It was awful. I was also a real estate broker for 25 years and I've been through closings and mortgages. I have never seen anything so crazy. Nobody knew what was going on.
I also wasn't sure on the insurance and what I was doing. 21st offered had insurance and I said I wanted to keep my own policy. My broker said, “Once we get this all done, you're going to be fine. And we will just escrow it, and you won't have to pay again once we get it closed.” Either she didn't know what she was talking about or she was lying to me. As soon as I get a bill from my insurance company, I called and was told, “We're going to escrow it this year. You have to pay it all year. And then next year, we'll start paying it.” It was not that big a deal. But because I had point blank specifically asked the broker and was told one thing, I was very angry. I knew what questions to ask and I was given totally wrong information. In the end, I paid off the insurance for this year so that's fine. I'm glad it's over with.

The process was easy. It took two months but that was because the realtor and then the attorney were on vacation. The persons with 21st were really fast. I called 21st Mortgage to speak to someone to get more information about the company. I spoke to John and he was very detailed. He said it was a very fast and professional process. Then he told me the link and I applied. When I applied, I called back to let someone know that I already applied and to follow up on my application. Drew answered the phone and he said, "Would you like me to be the one to help you, guide you through whole way?" I said, "Sure." From there, Drew was great. He was very fast, responding to all my questions because it was my first time buying a property. It was great customer service. When I was going to give up because I was waiting so long, he told me, "No. You're almost there, Luis. Don't give up." I recommend him highly. The application process was fantastic because as soon as all the documents that were required or requested were received and approved, you would get an approval. I've done this before and some lenders take a while to let you know what's going on or the process. Although with modern technology, things have changed and things are moving a little faster now.
Ken was my rep and he was really good. Any questions I had, I could email 21st Mortgage and he would respond right away. Even if he was out of the office, there was an email or an indication indicating that he would be out of the office and would return on a particular day. But you could contact another individual if it was urgent. I really commend Ken and 21st. They made the process really easy. I was able to know exactly what was going on step by step and the next process or if the seller or the escrow company needed to provide something. The only thing is that the interest rate was high.

Working with 21st Mortgage was a struggle. The person that was doing my work for me, Jonathan, went on vacation halfway through and didn't say anything to anyone. My realtor had to reach out to everybody to try to figure out what was going on to connect everything. She got a hold of someone else relatively quickly, and they caught everything else up. It wasn’t necessarily a bad experience, and everything went through. If my friends are looking for a mobile home, I’d definitely refer them to 21st Mortgage.

The application process was super easy and I heard back about approval relatively quickly. The whole process was pretty straightforward. The only issue that I had in the process was that I would submit documents and then they would later ask me for the same documents. I submitted several documents to 21st about three times and then I would get an email asking me a question either about my employer but I would have already answered that question. So that was really the only frustrating part for me. But my loan officer was very helpful all throughout the process. He responded to all my questions in a timely manner because I have not gone through this process alone before.

Working with them was a long process and it seemed my rep Brian was working with the paperwork mixed up. But other than that, it wasn't too bad. The market for trying to find a loan for manufactured homes is really tight and they were the first that accepted. The interest rate was pretty good. I wish it was lower, but you can't really ask for much lower when you sign in. Also, they could work on an app where I could access my account. They have an app but it's not really user-friendly towards what I have. It doesn't show my monthly payments or my insurance.

It wasn't a very easy process with 21st Mortgage, and I don't know if the reps were just overwhelmed or very busy. The communication could be better. Sometimes they wouldn't answer the phone at all, and a lot of times, I got misinformation. My Realtor ended up having to call. We were both tag-teaming trying to get information.

When my first deal fell through because the seller backed out, they were quick to help me find another place, and I'm in it and I'm happy. Trevor, the rep, was informative. He had an answer for every question I had and he sent my deposit in early. So, he helped me track that down and he was good. We corresponded and got everything in quickly, and I was approved quickly too. People are interested now that I've got my home and I suggested they apply at 21st Mortgage and try to get pre-approved before they go looking. That way they know how much they're working with.

Unfortunately, the appraiser overlooked a lot of problems that our house had. It appraised for much higher than it probably needed. The appraiser said that our water heater was fair. The day before we closed, I found out that our water heater had been leaking for weeks. 21st Mortgage needs to get people who are better.

The closing took a while because of some issues with the title. If I had known what the issue was specifically with the initial title, then I might have been able to contact the listing agent get it closed on a little bit sooner. But overall, I'm pretty happy with the experience with 21st Mortgage. The appraisal went very smoothly and quickly. I was impressed with that. Whenever I sent over documents to the rep, she reviewed them quickly and processed quickly as well. When I told her that I was at the end of my lease on my previous rental and I was very eager to get in before the end of February, she expedited the closing papers once she had received them from the title company. I appreciated that and that enabled me to get in before the end of last month. For anyone looking at an older mobile home, they are the best lender. They might also be competitive on a post-HUD manufactured home.

Bryan's a super person. He answered my phone calls. When I needed something, he was back to me very quickly. I appreciated that. But, the process now is a lot different from the first home I bought my first home in 1970. It's more difficult and more time-consuming. It took way longer than it should have. I have an 8.4 FICO score. My bank account runs about $13,000 to $15,000 to my checking account, and there's no reason why it should have taken 30 days for me to buy my home.

The person we worked with, Joy, was kind of a nightmare. She kept trying to get us to contact the seller and the title company and do those things for her. Also, we would call her and she wouldn't answer her phone. Towards the end, I had to say to one of her associates to take me to her manager because I was sick of being blown off and I didn't hear from her manager but she finally answered my phone call.
I had something of a unique circumstance regarding my income because at the time, I'm a state employee but my legal employer is my mother because I'm her caregiver and it's this whole legal thing. It didn't feel like Joy was hearing anything I was saying in terms of that I did everything in my power to get every answer I could. It came down to I had to email the corporate email and call multiple times and ask to let me explain what was going on because I made a mistake on the initial application process.
But other than the mistake with the verification of employment, 21st's system is streamlined. Also, most of the people we spoke to were very kind and helpful. We spoke to a gentleman named Thomas a few times and he was very helpful. He always helped as much as he could. But it was an uphill battle. If we weren't going up against the wall that was Joy, it would have been much easier. Part of what was frustrating was that she wasn't telling our real estate agent anything. We reached an agreement and got the key on February 2nd but because she did not convey to us or either of the agents that 21st was going to be handling the transfer of the mortgage, we had to wait. We were originally supposed to close on January 10th but she didn't send us the payment thing for the appraisal until January 20th. It was a brand-new experience that was made frustrating in ways that were very confusing.

John, the rep from 21st Mortgage, was a very sweet man. He was very soft-spoken but very direct. The application process was done all on the computer and I’m computer-savvy so it was easy. The rate is a little high though. But that may be because that I don't have an established line of credit for a vehicle versus revolving. And I understand that mobile homes are a little higher.

Overall the experience was less than thrilling. I bought a home in Missouri and that process was done within 2 weeks. It took months with 21st. Communication was lacking in some regards and in others it seemed like I was left to my own devices. Luckily I printed off the checklist and used that as my guide. I guess I am just used to someone saying, "Here this is everything we need, and we need it by this date." Also leaving an email saying, "Check your messages" is pointless especially to me who works night shift.

The process was about 30 minutes. It was pretty easy and not very long. I kinda liked it. I'm not very computer smart, and I did it, so it was not too bad at all. The rep was wonderful. At the beginning, they weren't letting us know what all documents we were submitting. They would never check on us to see if we needed any help or if we got everything together. It was always on our end that we would be calling constantly to see what was the next step and all the documents that we turned in. We never got phone calls to see if we were doing good or not. But everything was good.
Every time that I had to talk to the agent that was assigned to me, it seemed like she never greeted me. She was like, “Oh, what can I help you with?” I got that type of vibe that I wasn't getting the help that I was needing. Sometimes I would call and speak to somebody else even though I knew she was my loaner. Sometimes I tried to avoid her to see if I can get help from somebody else. But at the end of the day, they would just transfer me back to her because she was who I was getting help with.

Overall, they did a good job of pushing the loan through and getting it done. But there are certain areas that I thought were none of their business. For example, there was a thing on one of my pay stubs that didn't define what it was. But all it was was the portion of my medical insurance that that company pays. But it wasn't defined as that. They were wanting to know what it was and why it was. I told them, "Well, I can tell you this much. It doesn't come out of my check. It doesn't go into my check. So, it's really not important." But my loan officer was great. She made everything very easy for me and we got through the process quite swiftly. I was very happy with the timeframe. Everything went smoother and faster than I anticipated.

The process was pretty smooth for my very little experience. There weren’t setbacks until the end, where there was some confusion. For example, they asked for property insurance, like home insurance. They give me the details and the requirements. Then when I wanted to close and I already prepared a policy, then they change the terms and the conditions of the policy. During the final closing day, we almost didn't close because the guy that take care of the mortgage was off and they didn't prepare the files on time. The taxes were supposed to be a number and in escrow it was a different number. It was a headache for a little bit, but it was eventually solved. But there should be better communication between the departments.

Trey has been handling my son's account! He is absolutely AMAZING, excellent customer service, always willing to find the answers to any questions I had! I just cannot say enough with how impressed I have been with the service provided! Great Job Trey!

21st Mortgage is a good bank to work with. Make sure you have everything on file because they will ask you for a lot of stuff. My agent was Chris and he made it happen, so that was good. But it took a lot longer than I thought. It took five months to even close the deal. And some of it was no communication. It was just me and my loan officer mainly that kept calling and asking in what was going on. There were a couple times that he didn't get ahold of me so I had to reach out to him. But for the most part, he was on top of stuff. If I had a question, he told me what to do or a quicker way to solve it so I didn’t have to take so long.

Everything went well with 21st Mortgage and I enjoyed working with my reps. They were very informative. Any concerns or questions I had, they answered them. The interest rates were a little bit higher in other places.
