I recently joined Match.com, and please don’t waste your money. I got maybe 2, or 3 responses and honestly they weren’t my type. Men post pictures of themselves from years ago. I personally want to know what you look like now.

Eleven years ago I experienced just about all of the negative reviews, though I managed to connect with someone. It took over a year to get Match to stop using my card. Now I thought I'd look again and the site won't even accept two valid credit cards -- though it asked for a lot of information before that. Admire Match? Only for keeping a scam in business so long.

I joined Match and paid for my subscription, then was told I needed to verify my number. It wouldn't allow me to. So then after two days they finally fixed that problem. Then I went to log in and they had blocked my access. Then I couldn't get anyone to respond at all. So I paid for a subscription and never got to use it.

Zero customer service. If there is a problem with your profile or a change that the user can not make, do not anticipate any human intervention. Match does not respond to the online form that can be completed. The form only sporadically works. There is no response to the online "chat" function. You can write all you want and you will never get a response. What Match cares about mostly is upgrading the service and collecting your money. My sense is that Match does not really care what their clients think. What Match cares about is money. There are better dating service out there, do not use Match.

Terrible site. I think it’s a scam. I rarely get responses from matches and I am an attractive woman. The ones that do reply just write one or two lines at the most. Not serious, no intention of anything. This is complete BS. This company is just taking our money for nothing and making fools of all of us. Not good for anyone’s self esteem.

Super unfortunate, 80% of all women are fake, unfortunately match the owner can't get their crap together and all about profits to management, heavy spending, too much money burning money from our ass. Desperation has a stench, you stink.

THIS is the worst site for dating EVER. Don't use it For days I am working on getting into the site. It's saying can't verify phone number but I've given them all the information they need and still crickets. No wonder they don't have anyone manning the phones in customer support, they want to STEAL YOUR MONEY and then kick you out with little to no recourse. I do not trust this site to attach my receipt but I have sent it to log in help email, so you'll be able to verify there.

I joined Match.com very recently. I paid for 3 months subscription. Well, my profile was compromised and Match did nothing to help me. They certainly took my money. I wish I would have read the reviews before signing on. They are terrible at customer service, there is no one to talk with they wanted to charge me to reset my password. And after getting hacked, they actually wanted me to put my credit card information in to charge me a fee for helping me sign back on! Run to some other dating site. NEVER USE MATCH.COM!!! THIS IS A REAL WARNING TO PEOPLE TRYING TO FIND THAT SOMEONE SPECIAL. DON'T USE MATCH.COM.

I received a free 30 day trial. They had accuse me multiple times of inappropriate conduct, which I never displayed. These messages started coming to me shortly after I set up my account. (That I didn't even ask for) then more came, after I no longer was even using their service. I feel that I have been being harassed. I would not recommend this site to anyone.

I have tried to call, I have written emails, and despite this, they continue to charge me month after month after month. I don't check my CC statements all the time. Only when I use my card. I noticed that they have been charging me for the last 9 months despite me cancelling. I even got an email asking me to come back for a discount. I cannot even log in to the account because I cancelled it. There needs to be a lawsuit against these **. Do not sign up. Almost every single comment I have seen on here is how they continue to take people's money even after they cancel.

I signed up for the lower levels of Match ($135 for 6 months). The value is mostly worthless, unless I wanted to spend even more money, 2-way contact with another person wasn't available. Match will not provide a refund (it's been less than 48 hours later!). What a waste of money.

Poorly ran site. Based on my experience, I found them to be accusatory without fairness. They will be reported to other agencies. They were given ample time to make their apology. Never, ever recommend them to anyone. -100 if that were an option.

Match.com sucks due to poor customer service (lack of live support, no response to inquiries submitted, impossible to resolve issues due to their lack of live support). Best to never renew membership. Go to other dating site, especially POF.

I purchased a 6-month subscription and they banned me the next day with no warning nor an explanation. I had done nothing remotely offensive, in fact, I had only chatted with one woman. I went through their appeals process and received the response that I had violated their terms & conditions, though there was no specific violation given. I read the T&C and there was no activity that came close to violating anything. I checked the Better Business Bureau and they get over 1,000 complaints a year. Totally unethical company.

Lots of problems with this service in 2025. It's a shame because I had a lot of good experiences with it in 2010-2011. However, the service is pure garbage now. I'm not talking about people on it, I mean the actual company.

I logged in one day to find half the people on my, "liked list" were profiles I'd never seen before nor would I ever swipe right on these guys. I am no stranger to apps and know I did not accidentally like them. Not to mention how you can't see anyone who liked you, you have to match. The algorithms don't even give you matches that fit your preferences half the time.

When I googled "Biker Dating Sites" Match.com popped up as one of the top five biker dating sites. Spoiler alert: IT IS NOT!! To top it all off when I tried to sign in I was blocked! No reason why....

My profile was banned without explanation. When I tried to reach out, I received a generic response and no way to resolve the issue. I was told to email them to set up a new profile if I wanted to continue the service and received the same generic "we cannot disclose the reason your account was banned and our decision is final but you can contact us if you wish to set up a new account".

Had great hopes for Match. Despite having an expensive subscription, it limits most things I can do. Like sending messages. I can send a like, but I write this great message and then it tries to upsell me, blocks the messages and erases it.

This site is a waste of money. I have done it several times over the past 20 years and there are almost no people in my area and people do not respond. I get messages from people from other states, almost none from my area. I have a bunch of likes and almost no actual conversations. There must be a better way. Why are people joining and not participating? Please let me know if there is a better option. I am a very healthy, active lady. Probably a 6 - 9 rating for my age (trying to be modest and realistic), this should not be a difficult lifelong process.

Warning Message to Friends/Other Users. Just a heads up Match.com has faced FTC lawsuits in the past for letting fake or inactive accounts message users to push them into subscribing. I’ve noticed a pattern where profiles disappear after talking about meeting. Be cautious it might not always be a real person on the other side.

I tried Match. I was horribly disappointed. It was very expensive and the selection was so small. I thought I had cancelled and then received a charge. I called to get it reversed and they would not allow it. Obviously, this must be how they make their money. I have never been so disgusted by a company.

Never Again!! This site is worthless. I recently joined as a Bronze member which was advertised: With Bronze, you can: Filter by dating intent, Keep chats moving with Anti-Ghosting, Get max visibility with weekly auto boosts, Make your Like stand out with Priority Likes, View Message read receipts, See who's subscribed, ** See who's viewed your profile, ** See who likes you, Enjoy unlimited Rewinds, Send unlimited Likes.

The site is very deceptive. I’m am a male and 50 years old. When I created a free profile without paying, I was not able to see the matches. So a week went by and I got numerous email requests from people wanting to meet me. My inbox was flooded with emails of 10 to 15 per day of girls, wanting to meet me. When I actually paid for the Match.com account, half of those profiles were unavailable because they were fake “bots” or algorithms sent to lure me to sign me up. It’s now been two months on the site, and there is absolutely positively guarantee that it is completely fake.

Nothing but fake profiles and scammers. Once you pay your membership fee, they charge you for everything. Match.com is an absolute waste of money!! I cancelled my membership after 3 months because of all the fake profiles. They will ask for your number, then WhatsApp you, an app mostly used outside the US for calling. Only talk over US cell carriers and not WhatsApp!!!!

Worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. You email them with a basic issue (locked me out for some reason) and it takes them 7-9 hours to get back to you. What they write doesn’t help so now wait another day. How do their stock holders put up with this? Never again.

I’ve gone on more dates with free apps, this is completely worthless and not worth the expensive price tag. Don’t waste your time or money. Most of the girls on here don’t even want to date, they’re just here to talk and waste my time

Registered one day and in 12 hours my account was blocked. Never completed a bunch of the steps and filed a support ticket. They responded I POSTED AGAINST COMMUNITY GUIDELINES. I NEVER WAS ABLE TO POST A BUNCH. PURCHASE MEMBERSHIP KEPT POPPING UP THOUGH!

Total rip-off! Terrible customer service! All they want is your money! They blocked my account and will not contact me to why they did. They refused to reply or at least correct the problem or explain why. Says a security breach.

What a dating app is, I guess. A few eyes of a few signed-up humans evoked a sense of someone living within reality and not the Ego. Just seeing what dating apps - not hook up only apps, are like. Profile was hidden to be fair to other users of Match. Just viewed profiles from social inbox, when in a person's eyes in their profile picture evoked this reality-checked possibility. Not fake profile and ya, that is fake and not showing that I am being real and live in reality. So I canceled obviously. No judgements. Lived off grid years. Just seeing what urban life is about in 2025.

They sent me an email to join at a 50% discount. I did, then they sent me a email to confirm my membership. I clicked on the link, and then ended up getting billed for twice as much again. I tried multiple times to explain to customer service, including screenshots and got nowhere. I had to do a chargeback through my bank. In the past I had turned off auto renew, and somehow it got turned on again, not by me. Very shady company.

I subscribed to Match for a platinum subscription. I tried it and I never received the subscription. I could not get messages or see photos or respond. It never worked, I asked for a refund and was told I was not eligible 'cause I did not meet their criteria for a refund. What criteria, I never received anything. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE. IT IS A RIP OFF!!

I've been on and off Match for years; I actually met my husband on Match many years ago. Unfortunately, the website is no longer the reputable dating site it once was. Today, it's a step above Tinder and Grinder, simply a hook up site that's full of fake and AI generated profiles. Customer service is at best abysmal and rude. Don't waste your time, there's better dating sites out there with better clientele, customer service and profiles that have been vetted and are real. Even Grindr and Tinder profiles are more authentic and real.

This is a terrible place to find quality profiles. It’s like a needle in a haystack. Worst dating app I’ve ever tried out. Also, same left swipes recurring frequently. Sketchy to say the least. Don’t waste your time or money on this.

I just joined. On day 4 I cannot sign in. It will not take my password. So I changed my password. It still will not accept it. It also wants me to verify that I am human. It shows 6-7 photos with 2 fingers pointing in a certain direction and it wants you to align a bird or animal in the direction of the fingers pointing. This would not be so bad but they hide the fingers on 3-4 of the pictures. How can you align something with something that you cannot see. I would like to get my money back.

Match charged me $40.99 A WEEK for an entire month and will not refund my money. How is this even LEGAL? $163.96 for a service that is supposed to be $40 a month? No customer service support, just auto responses. No email response either. THIS service IS A SCAM. I recommend NOT using it.

Match is far better than Eharmony and SilverSingles. Reason: those both had over a dozen scammers per site mixed in before I canceled them. Match frankly has a better format. Eharmony is a flat out fraud. Their test results in no way reflect the women sent to your page. Match's problem that I'm dealing with right now is it's hard as hell to cancel the subscription. They just sent me a charge for $165 that I never authorized. I've contacted my credit card company about it.

I was kicked off with no explanation as to why and think a scammer turned me in without cause. There is no communication to fix the situation. It said I did something against policies yet will not reveal the policy that was crossed. There is a review process now but no explanation. So it seems if you reject someone or find out they are a scammer they can turn you in first and get you kicked off.

Match.com’s customer service is absolutely abysmal. Reaching an actual human being is nearly impossible — everything is routed through endless automated replies that do nothing to address real problems. Even when you manage to submit an issue, the responses are generic, copy-and-paste answers that make it painfully clear no one actually read your concern. The company hides behind layers of automation, making it feel like customers don’t matter once they’ve paid for a subscription. There is no urgency, no accountability, and no meaningful support. If you’re expecting timely resolutions or even basic courtesy, you’ll be sorely disappointed.

I've spent good money to join Match.com, I have a good honest profile with current pictures and I'm no ugly duckling. I've sent out several hundred likes with messages and not 1 response.. but I get a lot marketing from match to buy upgrades to ensure more visibility and get more responses. Since I work in a high tech industry I'm beginning to think that their programming models are created to entice users to spend more by not delivering the actual likes and messages. The only likes I've received are from crypto and Bitcoin scammers just like tinder.. I just discovered that the match group owns both companies... This is a total waste of time and money.

I've been a member, off and on for years. Match has devolved into a POOR site. Many issues! Match recently initiated ridiculous member verification puzzles where you need to correctly match 8, (yes 8 ) directional matches. They make it very difficult to see and intentionally provide no good answer choices for some of the "puzzles" in order to deny you access with their "not quite right" bullshit. I have my opinions as to why they are doing this but that is another conversation.

Absolutely terrible customer service. I tried to change my email address and they put me through a never ending verification process and would not allow me to change addresses. I wound up canceling my membership and even that process is difficult to do. Do not trust this service.

Match did a sneaky subscription without my approval! They charged me 214.00 for six months without my consent. They would not refund my money. This site is full of scammers! Very disappointing. Became tired of reporting men wanting money.

Wow, I thought this would be a good place to start dating. I have sent 150 messages to women and I got 1 reply back, I think what I read somewhere if they are not paying they don't see your message. But sure they can send the 1st message and it's all good. Then they really need a tab so you do know if you got a message, FAKE PROFILES. Yes there are many, FORGET SUPPORT. They're useless on this site. Then when you click highlights they're all miles away. Even in other states. When my 6 months are up, I will not be paying for this. Waste of money.

I subscribed to Match.com and purchased the Platinum subscription. The summary was clear that I would have the feature "see who's viewed your profile." However, I could not access that feature, but kept getting notifications that more than 99 people had viewed my profile. I wrote 11 messages, including screenshots of the feature, my receipt, and their summary of what I should receive, with only one response telling me to clear the cache on my computer. After 10 more emails, I finally received a response that the "see who's viewed me" feature is NOW exclusively available to Diamond members, and that to use it, I would "need to upgrade to a Diamond membership," which is substantially more expensive. This is a classic bait-and-switch tactic. I have filed an FTC complaint and a dispute with my credit card company.

Years ago I joined Match.com, it was easy, straightforward and I did meet several people I enjoyed time with. Today's version is a far cry from what it once was. They, whoever is in control of this site, make it so hard to just sign in, it frustrates the hell out of you. I know now from this experience with the new Match, I would never purchase a membership, I just don't trust anything about this site. If you're looking for a dating site, look elsewhere.

Zero stars if I could! Paid over $130 for a year (just under Platinum) and got nothing but frustration. No way to narrow searches, endless irrelevant matches, and the same skipped profiles keep coming back. Likes don’t even get prioritized. This site is only after your money — not helping you find what you’re looking for. Don’t waste your time or cash!

I would not even rate a number one. I would rate a minus zero. I recently paid for the bronze membership and am not receiving the full benefits that I paid for. I can not view my likes, message members, read my messages. Match.com will not refund me nor did they correct this problem. Very disappointed. They are a terrible company. Very unprofessional.

Total scam. Paid my 3 month subscription in full. Was banned the next day before I could contact a potential date. I protested but they upheld the ban & never refunded my card. Had to cancel that card so I would not be auto renewed 3 months later.

This site is no good. I signed up for it for 6 months and have not met anyone. I’ve had better luck on Facebook for free. I’d never choose Match again. I’m too bad looking and have had better luck with free dating apps.

If I could, I would not give Match ANY stars. It is a complete ripoff. Years ago, it was pretty decent, but now it's more of a money-grabber. I had forgotten what it was like the last time I signed up. A lot of profiles are fake, AND they send Match sends you likes when the person never sent you one. I also found out that Match sends likes from me to people who aren't even my type. The prices are outrageous for the garbage that you receive from them. There's a whole lot more, but the worst sham is what I've just written about. Don't lose your hard earned money, go out and met people!!!!

This site takes your money and gives very little in return. Once you have paid for a membership be prepared to Pay even More $$$... Ony a Platinum Membership experience will get you almost all of the features on this site. Otherwise, again you are paying for all of the hidden costs on the site, like boost, and hiding your profile, and seeing who is actually interested in you? All of this are Extra if you are a gold member. A basic membership does "Nothing" and you are still paying a monthly fee. This site produces many false positives that will never consider you, so don't expect anyone will like you, back if you send a like, "for every ten likes that you send... you may get only one like in return". There are better sites that offer more for your dollar.

I was unable to access my account because I did not have a phone/phone number that could be used for phone verification. This requirement was only made apparent after I had paid for a subscription. Despite NUMEROUS attempts/efforts to rectify this issue there has been no progress and Now I apparently can not even cancel my subscription. I am sure this has involved deceptive practices. I would strongly recommend that this service NOT BE USED.

This site was useless in finding a date, or even someone to chat with. I never got one reply to a message or received a message from another user on the site. I got scammed into trying the 3 month subscription, tried to cancel after the first month because its obviously a scam. There was no option to Refund my money, only to deactivate my account and still be charged for the full 3 months. Major rip off!!

What a ripoff! Every time I go online, they try to upsell me…. super likes, next level.. It never ends. Silver plan (about $120 for 6 months) won’t even let you read messages when people respond. Also, Customer Service is awful. Can only send messages and 2x they did not answer my question on how to access reply messages. Final thoughts - despite my attempts to use their filter, I’m getting views of people in the next state more than 100 miles away. Don’t waste your money.

Hello everyone, I've been on Match 3 different times, and I'm 64, in good shape, clean neat, and decent looking, I have written good profiles, widowed, you would think I would have more attention and matches, there is also a page that automatically checks off likes on your behalf during setup, that you don't always see to uncheck people you may not select as likes. To me it seams like more of a money making site than actually helping people meet others, you can pay more and get the same results. I'm also fairly open in the requirements of what I'm looking for. I now understand why people are on dating site for so long with very little results. It only takes a week of continuous use to find out what its like, I suggest trying it with caution, and cancel if not getting any results. Just to be fair I don't think this issue is only with Match, I believe most sites are like this. The Juice is not worth the squeeze. Good luck!

I’ve used Match.com several times. I had to say that this website is horrendous. It has so many issues especially customer service. You cannot get answers to anything because there’s no one to talk to. The emails are one-sided and you’re not getting what you’re paying for and they don’t care. They just take your money and say, "Oh we don’t we don’t refund. We don’t do refunds". I set my mile image at 50 miles.. All I’ve gotten a people from all over the state of Florida, which does me absolutely no good so I basically wasted my money on this site so I would not recommend this to anyone. Save your money.

Match.com will only disappoint. They steal your money and do not stand behind their service with any form of support. Clearly, I am but one in an extremely long list of customers being ignored by Match. How could I have been so foolish to pay for a year-long subscription with such a bogus company? I receive E-Mails informing me of how many likes and messages I’ve received but I’ve yet to be empowered to see or read profiles and messages. I’ve spent the last 2-months attempting to get access to the account with no success whatsoever.

It's full of toxic people, most of the profiles are fake, and they just want you to pay more $$. You'll have better luck and save money trying to meet someone at Applebee's. And the people who do respond to you are nuts. One woman told me to call her, which I did, then she went off on me saying she was at work and making these weird accusations. That was it after that, save your time/money, again full of toxic/fake people. AVOID.

I was on Match years ago and it has changed for the worst big time. There are people and profiles listed that are not even members and most of them that are members are information. Seeker are scammers. You tell them you want an age preference between 50 and 70 and they flood the page with people that are either younger or older than what you were looking for. I have a endless Emails people trying to get information from me that is sensitive for financial reasons. I can honestly tell you that Match was good 10 years ago. I dated a few long-term relationships. It is absolutely atrocious now, I would not recommend anybody to this site. Save your money. I’ll be canceling my subscription and finding a new site. They are ripping you off.

I signed up for a six month subscription with Match.com and met someone. I went on the website and canceled the membership. On 08-05-2025 my card was billed over $166 for another six month subscription. I tried to call match but was unable to reach anyone. I tried to log onto the site but can’t because the email address I used to sign up with is no longer being used by me.

Total rip off. My account was locked before I could even get on it! Can not contact a person. On get a bot says the same thing with ideas to fix problem. But when you are totally blocked that is no help!!

I get approached by women who are obviously from other countries. This site is full of scammers and Match doesn't do anything to vet them. I give this site a rating of a "1." I have to take the time to sort out whether or not these are real and honest people.

Absolute terrible customer service. I signed up, paid and have never had access to my account. I don’t want my information out there and I can’t even get in to review it. Filled out several of their requests, chat with customer service is the absolute worst. It just spews the same information and doesn’t address your issue. I think it’s terrible my info out there and I can’t edit or do anything.

I am no different than the majority of reviews here. Match has a rating of 1.1. If there was a zero rating their rating would be 0.1. I suggest everyone that has ever paid for a subscription call your banks, visa departments and tell them they should stop processing charges from Ourtime, POF and Match which are all owned by Match. As well let's all flood all 3 networks with numerous complaints to keep them busy looking at complaints as they don't look at reasonable complaints. They hired a doughhead in Feb 2025 as CEO at $800,000 and he is more terrible than the other doughhead. Never give MATCH, POF or OURTIME another penny. They are all LOSERS!

I am a 75 year old widow without huge digital expertise. I got "banned" from the site before I had even finished uploading everything and answering their questions! There was nothing scandalous in what I was posting, so I suspect a technical error occurred. I have contacted their supposed Customer Care via email, the only way available, and been told I am simply banned and they will not even correspond with me again. So disappointing. What a lousy company!!!

Match.com is a scam. Customer service is a joke. Don't ever use the site. I sign up by mistake and within seconds I requested a refund. No way they said. I never did anything on the site. These people are terrible!!!

Match.com coupons are a bait and switch. Do not trust them. After continued errors in trying to sign up I contacted their customer service which is bot driven and could not answer my question as to why I was receiving errors. After several requests for a live agent I finally received a canned email response well after my coupon expired. They sent me a new one but with only 6 months at the discounted price not the full year as the previous coupon allowed. Again the back and forth with the bot and canned email reply. I never received a result. When I tried to sign in again there was an error message that I must contact customer service. Enough, I give up! I told Match to cancel my account remove, my photos, and reply to me a confirmation that this has been completed. No reply. Relationships should start with a best foot forward. This is their example of relationships. Go elsewhere. Do not start or stay. A bad relationship with this company.

Fraudsters. Scammers. (I am talking about the company) Match.com. Do not give these guys a penny. They are a fraud. Buyer Beware. They will block your account and steal your money. Happy karma exists. These people - whoever is responsible for this scam system will be paying with a high cost that is beyond - sucks to be them.

I am just beyond frustrated after multiple emails directly to Match with no responses. It’s sadly become a monopoly, leading you only to advertising for other similar sites, all owned by MATCH. We all should get smart and beware. Easily tricked into another portals.

The customer service is non-existent. I have been blocked from my account with a phone verification problem and nobody has solved the problem. The meter is running and nothing. Buyer beware. There is no customer support, only online bots. How do they get away with it. Look elsewhere.

Match.com is a big scam, I purchase a premium membership I got over 100 likes when I like some of the profiles they disappear. This site has a lot of fake profiles and married men who are looking for one night stand. What a waste of my hard earn money. If I was looking for one night stand I would go to a free site.

I signed up last Sunday afternoon, did my profile, paid for a 6 month subscription, used the app a little on Sunday, then Monday morning and in the evening, started talking to one person, then used again Tuesday morning, in the afternoon couldn't log in. I sent several emails to support team. Until now no answer back. I want to know what happened because I was barely there, and now 5 days later no help.!!

I have tried Match.com only to receive messages from obvious scammers, men who live thousands of miles from me, no response from any 'likes' or messages I send and endless emails from match claiming transparency when eliminating profiles.... Waste of money.

Match does not pay any mind to your preferences. I do NOT date ** women. Yet their recommendations were full of ** women. I do not date anyone younger than 42 or older than 55. Guess what? Full of them too. I did meet someone. We are talking. She is questionable. We took things off Match due to their insane money grabbing tactics. OMG…. I have been a Match member on and off for sometime. I now bump into scammers like every other day! This is sooo bad. Usually it’s not that bad on a paid dating website. Please be cautious about scammers when using Match.com.

I did enjoy browsing through, although nothing came of it. I tried to call their 800 number to question a charge that was made after 6 days of a previous one. When there was no one to talk to and only directed to simply email, I called my bank to put the charges in dispute until I received an explanation. I was immediately banned and removed from Match for behavior that violates their Terms of Service and Community Guidelines! Apparently, you cannot question a charge or ever expect a refund. This site is one big scam that just lives off our subscriptions!!!

I’ve been a member of Match for over a year with no results. The other day I went into the app to see when my membership expires so that it doesn’t automatically renew and cost me more money for nothing. That afternoon I went into the app and I had 50 views of my profile (I’ve never had more than 3 or 4 at a time) and 5 likes all from hundreds of miles away. Does this sound like a scam to you? I joined and noticed almost no views, though I live in one of the largest States and cities in America. Seems almost like I'm frozen. I emailed Match with little to no response and seems as though my account to Match is set up in another Country and I believe it's Australia. I've chatted with others who said they had the same exact experience and can't get the issue resolved. I left my phone number, they have my email but make no effort to contact me. I don't recommend Match.com.

Worst dating experience. There is no customer interaction and the response comes after days of screwed relationships. Charges are premium but services are worst. They don’t deserve a high google rating, this is big trap. I will never ever join or try this app again nor recommend to anyone else.

I joined and immediately started getting matches. I soon found most were scammers that disappeared after a brief exchange of messages and after I refused to go offsite or move quickly to provide my number. Then the real fun started: I cancelled my subscription literally same day I subscribed then read that you have to contact Customer Care to request that your data be removed but I couldn’t access the site as my subscription was cancelled. I then got an email from Customer Help saying my account had been reactivated, basically so I could ask to cancel AND DELETE my data.

Customer service at Match.com is nonexistent. Very hard to find a phone number to contact anyone and if you use chat, you never get a response. The site is full of fake profiles and scammers. Do don't waste your money.

I signed up for their premium membership and it was a complete waste of money. If you are out of stars to use on the recommended, and you do put more, those candidates disappear and do not reappear in the normal search. I also kept getting people who lived way out of my specified distance and those that should have not populated based on my preferences. There is also no customer service to complain to or get support. Don’t waste your money.

Do not Enroll in this site. 99% profiles are fake or married men with no intention to have a genuine connection. After taking my money, they banned me from the site for no valid reason. Do not get caught on their scams and waste your time and money.

Join a different dating site. This one is a rip off. If you purchase the basic subscription which is over $100 for 6 months, they nickel and dime you with upgrades for simple features such as messaging. It’s ridiculous.

Match is horrible. I have never paid and please don't it only gets worse if you do. I wish I knew where the computer guy lives that made this app. Stay away unless you want 200pound plus girls. What a joke

I purchased a silver membership for 3 months. Then discovered that you can't access very much with it. So I upgraded to the platinum membership. They promised to refund the different between the two levels. They charged my credit card for both memberships and then did not issue me any refund. I contacted them 3 times over a period of a month to which they replied "our records show that your refund was processed". So I contacted my credit card company. They confirmed that no refund had ever been issued, and launched a dispute. The next day they banned me from the site for "not following their code". I asked what that meant and they said because I of the dispute from the credit card company. So I've lost my membership and can't access the site to cancel my card either.

Match.com does everything automated. I purchased a membership at a discounted price and then added a service to get access to my likes which I didn’t think I’d have to do. Now I’m in the whole a decent amount of money and no access.

I was banned after 2 days with no explanation. When I appealed and was reinstated, I had lost all my membership privileges that I paid a 3 month subscription for. All the pictures were blurred out and I couldn't see who liked me. I would deem this website to be a scam.

Horrible customer service. Won't give a phone number. Full of scammers. Banned me without any reason. Made me jump through hoops to find out. Never spoke with a single person. Do not give your money. They suck.

I've been emailing & replying to the reply that they receive my complaint for over a week. They need to update my cell phone number and don't seem to be able to do that simple process. They send repeatedly the same replies over and over again. I fill in all the questions to identify myself and then back comes the same request for the same answers several times a day. No results on day 8. I'm really fed up with absolutely no customer service. The emails, I'm sure, are only computer generated and have no indication they even know what I am telling them.

I was charged for a renewal that I did not authorize. I tried to contact them as soon as I saw the charge as I do not use Match, because it is a worthless site. They do not offer refunds although I contacted them as soon as I saw the charge and don't plan on ever using the service. There is no option to remove payment information. This seems like predatory practices and I wanted to make others aware before they rob you too!

I've rarely felt as scammed as I did with this site. They don't just swindle your money, they also steal your emotional energy, your expectations, and your life at a time when you're most vulnerable. They're disgusting people of the worst kind.

Bait and switch. Once you pay they want more money to see who liked you and for you to communicate with them? That is why people sign up. AI does everything, no humans. If you click around enough there is a page you can print and mail to get a refund within 3 business days. It gets mailed to a PO box and they suggest certified or registered mail. If it's a PO box no one signs. Money grab and scammers looking for targets.

This is not the first time this website has failed. It will not accept my password, which I know is correct. I click on FORGOT PASSWORD and I get no response. Tried the assistant, not sure if it is a real human. If it is, they the IQ of a snail. Finally told me to wait 24 hours and try again.

The only thing that Match.com wants to match with is your credit card. Everything on the site is geared toward getting more of subscriber's $$!! Some people are really trying to move forward with their lives and connect, but all Match appears to want is to upcharge and keep this farce of a website collecting $$$! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!

I was on Match.com for a year and a half, I even took a small break. This site is filled with Scammers. So in 3 days, I will be done with this and I'm not coming back to this site. It's a waste of money with no results. Save your money and try some other site.

I feel this site just uses a lot of old pictures & profiles to lure you in, managed by Match.com to give you false hope and take your MONEY! I received messages from what I thought were real people and had some good conversations only to have them deleted by Match.com. One, Match said it was a fraudulent person... but the others, just disappeared completely off Match.com in the middle of the long conversations, especially when the other person wanted to connect by Zoom/phone. Seemed very planted and suspicious! I also saw profiles that said they were deleting their membership in Dec. 2023, etc... What are these profiles still doing on Match.com in 2025?

The company has very poor customer service, understaffed, hide behind stating they have no phone number, when they feel like answering an email, they wait and tell you your outside of the cancellation period, come up with excuses stating you have to fix their poor website, ignored by BBB complaint. I’ll have filed another complaint with the state's attorney's office. Dragging them to court is next. Run from these criminals.

I'm still getting matches, offers, and scams from Match.com and no response on removing my data! It's disgusting and they own multi dating sites!! USE CAUTION EVERYONE. Match sucks. I signed up for free and was very limited. I received a number of views but the pictures were purposely blurred and I couldn't read any messages, so I upgraded to Bronze. I don't see anything different I got with paying for Bronze, and I still can't see who viewed or liked me. What a rip off! If you try to cancel you lose all benefits and 5 minutes after I subscribed I couldn't cancel without losing my payment. Did I mention that Match sucks? Zoosk is much easier to use.

I was off Match.com for 3+ years and a week ago got back online. They charged me 149.94 and then again 89.94 for 6 months. Trying to cancel, they want me to pay 19.99 just to cancel. Site is not near as good from 3 years ago. Fraud on the charges. Would not recommend them getting your credit card.

Worst dating site I’ve ever been on. 99.9% of the women who contacted me were fake. By fake I mean using photos from the internet to create fictitious profiles. After a few days communicating thru the site with some women we made the transition to email or text. More picture were shared by them often using children to bolster their stories. Sick individuals! One person used a photo with a severely handicapped child. Everyone that I had communication with I was able to determine they were fake fairly quickly. Was never in communication with a legit user. I only joined to see if the site lived up to the dating site hype. Negative! It’s crap and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone looking for a real and serious connection!!

I honestly thought that I would be able to view more potential matches if I were a paying customer, so I joined in June 2025. I chose Silver over Platinum level since it appeared that it would suffice, and the cost, enormous. Well, the service I chose is still expensive but provides very little matching. Many people on the site havent completed their profiles and never respond because they also haven't paid for a subscription.

Once I had a paid subscription I was limited to very few profiles. All they wanted is to upgrade at a $200 hit. The site is very inadequate. Totally controlled to make you spend more money and everything is unrefundable. Very unhappy

I have been a Match member on and off for a while. This time, when I activated my profile I got plenty of likes and messages, but at least 80% would disappear when they messaged me the third time. Unless I gave my phone number and we took the conversation off match the conversations would get deleted. I reached out several times but only got standard garbage from the company. I used to enjoy match but now it’s a pain to try to use since I can’t chat on the platform. And I don't like giving out my number.

Stay away from the site. They take your money and do not provide technical support. The site on technical support is useless. I think it is just robbery taking money and not being able to get a technical help to solve the issue when I can't log in my account.

I will attempt to contact men with no response at all, then get messages from men who are clearly scammers. I went back to ask a guy who didn’t respond to me for feedback and he claims he had tried to read my message but the site partially blocked it. After I reached back out we were able to connect and had a date this week. I see Match says about 1 in 10 profiles are found to be scammers; in my opinion it’s much higher. Match clearly is manipulating people’s ability to connect.

I was a free member on Match.com. I was on their site for a grand total of three days, I had nothing but issues with posting my pictures. I am a former NCO with the 101st Airborne Division. Each picture I posted that was military related was removed by their moderators and their computers for an alleged violation. I posted non-violent picture of my time in. I will not be using this site again, and I would strongly advise anyone else to stay away from this site and any other sites they own and operate.

I contacted Match multiple times regarding being “banned for violating Terms of Use or Guidelines” due to a “dispute” I initiated with my bank. The “dispute” was simply the result of my needing to contact my bank after Match.com renewed my subscription for an additional year and charged me for the same without my consent. I reached out to Match Customer Care on four separate occasions. Despite my repeated efforts to resolve the matter directly with Match, I received only auto-responses that did not address the issue or acknowledge the unauthorized billing. Due to the complete lack of meaningful response, I had no choice but to escalate the matter to my bank. If choosing not to renew a subscription now constitutes a “violation of terms of service,” then such terms are deeply questionable and potentially unlawful.

Match.com charged me $37.99/week on my Google account for six weeks without my permission. I just received an Email notifying me. Trying to call is conveniently impossible as they don't have a customer service number. A robot notified me that no refunds are issued even if they charge you without permission. Use this site at your own peril.

With the new limited changes this site is just as others. Not worth the money. You are now not able to determine what ethnicity you are interested in getting to know. It is definitely not good for ** people.

I signed up for Match and got as far as trying to add profile pictures, which for some reason wouldn't go through. I decided to give it a half hour or so and try again, when I went to login I couldn't sign in. I then went to just reset my password from the link sent and when I tried it said my account was locked. I contacted customer support to see if there was a glitch and the response I got back was that I had been banned and they sent a link with their guidelines. I read them and nowhere can I find something that I did wrong. I replied back to their email and asked if they could clarify exactly what guidelines I didn't follow as I just joined, didn't even get to finish setting up a profile, nor did I interact with any other members.

Minutes after I signed up with my credit card, while updating my profile, the website locked me out because apparently I was banned. Why, I don't know. This issue happened to me a few years ago and I never got my money back. Years later, I thought, if I signed up using a new email, I could set up an account. Nope. Banned again for no reason and now I have to fight for a refund. Match takes your money and then locks you out under the pretense of a ban. I didn't even finish my profile which would have been flagged had I had a chance to submit it. This should be outright illegal. Beware, this is not a legit business.

I have tried contacting a agent to chat on Match.com website. Nobody answers. Waited 14 minutes. Having to search for their email on the search page is crazy! What a defunct site. Difficult to fill out a profile. Riddled with bots and hackers. The price is out of control, just to get scammed. The only thing matching here seems to be blood money to bank accounts. There seems to be zero oversight or accountability here. No consumer protection.

After a week of trying to login, I was blocked after sending several emails. I got a response saying that the person I was in contact with violated their policy and therefore I’m blocked. I responded by asking them why I was blocked with an explanation. The response was that their judgment is final, and my profile will be deleted. Still with no explanation. I paid for 6 month premium membership that they stole. This company is a scam and they could block your account for no apparent reason..

I had a Match account for a few years. I deleted it back in Nov. 2024, In late March/early April I established a new account. A few weeks later, I went in to complete and add new items, etc. I received an email saying suspicious activity. I appealed and they said it was banned. I have no idea what suspicious activity they are referring to. Makes no sense and they are very cryptic since they won't even say what the activity is. Whatever it was, unless I did something unknown by accident, I do not appreciate the handling of this.

Match.com is a bot and scammer paradise with few legitimate options. Avoid this site at all costs. The limitations placed on even paying customers can only be described as absurd, and the customer service is wholly unreliable. My personal experience is that I was several times accused of putting contact information in my bio or pics. That is simply not true. At no point did I put anything which could possibly have been misconstrued as contact information. Yet, upon "review," they claimed their original complaint was true and correct, which is impossible, which means one of two things. Either the people doing the reviewing are legitimately stupid and or blind, or they are lying about reviewing it at all. Frankly, neither instills much confidence. I refuse to do business with so divisive a company, especially one claiming to champion the idea of bringing people together.

I had a terrible experience with Match.com. Their support takes days and there is no way to contact them other than email. I spent time and effort on my profile/pics and had less than 1% response to well over 300 messages I sent. This was a HUGE waste of time. I can't say how it is for women but I would advise any man to save your money. Match Group owns over 45 dating apps and platforms, including popular apps like Tinder, Hinge, OkCupid, Match.com, and Plenty of Fish.

Do NOT throw your money away like I just did. Just signed up for 2nd time. My preferences for women were far ranging. Yet, after seeing 3 women it said there were no more matches. I did a search with a wide range of age and distance. It found only 28 women! None of whom are anywhere near me. I feel like such a schmuck and taken advantage of. There is no customer service, and you can't get a refund! Very expensive too. The BBB should shut this site down. Class action lawsuit? I'm in.

I paid for a subscription and built my profile. After my profile was active for several hours, I realized that they had released personal information about me that would have made it easy for anyone to find my address and phone number online. Horrified, I hid my profile and alerted them. They corrected the error but wouldn't discuss the problem with me or assure me that they would prevent it from happening to anyone else. No attempt was made to make it right or to reassure me of anything. I will NEVER use Match.com again!

Gee, maybe I'm being too harsh, considering I still have 2 months left on my 6-month trip to hell. One date would actually be fine at this moment in time, considering just one date after 4 months seems to be an impossibility.

I have no issue with paying for a service and, as others have mentioned, this site is not potentially useful until you pay. They have no control over those who frequent their site and, sorry to say, most of the persons with whom I have interacted are scammers or single for a reason. In the week that I have been a subscriber, 98% of contacts inbound have been "likes" without any associated message. How do they believe that this can be an overture to conversation? Most "likes" are from persons who live more than 50 miles from the location that I have posted. How do they believe that any kind of bond can be formed without some live face-to-face interaction? I have had one clear scammer and one slime ball. There has not been a single reply to my overtures which ALWAYS comprise a message that clearly indicates that I have read their profile.

Find a different site! The same profiles are repeatedly presented. Preferences are ignored. Advertisement pop ups in "Discover" even with paid subscription. Outside of range and state profiles appear in Discover. Highlights do not have same interests.
